📝 Full transcript (4306 segments)

0:01 >> It is a balmy, steamy day here in

0:04 Montgomery, Alabama. But we're trucking

0:07 [music] on through. Bendum, Armando

0:09 Becerra, and a bunch of kids are back.

0:11 David Griffin is clowning around, and we

0:13 are ready to follow up one of the best

0:15 [music] offensive nights we've seen

0:16 early on here in the Banana Ball

0:18 Championship League. 24 combined [music]

0:20 runs in our return to the Riverwalk here

0:22 in Alabama, but the clowns getting it

0:23 done in comeback fashion. Can they do it

0:25 again? [music] Eric Fox and company, or

0:27 can the Firefighters off the back of one

0:30 of their best offensive performance

0:31 [music] here in 2026 find a way to win

0:33 their third game in their last four?

0:35 7,000 of our closest friends have packed

0:38 on in here to the Fire Station [music]

0:39 at Dobbs Park to see the second game

0:42 ever between the Firefighters and the

0:44 Indianapolis Clowns here in one of the

0:46 original cities of Banana Ball. And with

0:48 that, welcome inside the Dispatch

0:50 Center, everybody.

0:51 >> [music]

0:51 >> I'm Zack Staten. It was an awesome game

0:54 last night, to say the very least. We

0:56 had trick plays. We had runs, and lots

0:58 [music] of them. We had hits, and lots

1:00 of them. But the Indianapolis Clowns

1:02 finding a way to get it done. We take

1:04 you to the video now. It's [music]

1:05 unreal how much stuff that we had last

1:07 night here. The Clowns trying to get

1:09 their first win since Tallahassee. The

1:11 Firefighters trying to get their first

1:12 ever three-game win streak, and Noah

1:14 Bridges has that dog in him.

1:15 >> [music]

1:16 >> Not just literally on the field, but

1:18 figuratively in his soul. Right there,

1:20 Jewel Long shot completes a four-run

1:22 second inning for the Firefighters. They

1:24 tie the game up at one apiece. They

1:25 would take the lead [music] in the third

1:27 inning two to one, and then the man in

1:28 the middle right there, David Griffin,

1:30 absolutely [music] torched the Fire and

1:33 Flames. He was unbelievable. He was

1:35 getting people to swing and miss. He was

1:37 getting Firefighters

1:38 >> [music]

1:38 >> to freeze and miss. No matter what he

1:40 threw, he was locked and loaded. Four

1:43 strikeouts [music] in three innings,

1:44 gave up just one hit. And by the way, he

1:46 wasn't just doing it with his arm. He

1:48 was doing it with his glove. HOW DO YOU

1:49 DO THIS? Dalton Cornett hit that in the

1:51 right spot, right place, and [music]

1:53 David Griffin, whose dad's a hockey goal

1:55 and was a hockey goal in college, might

1:57 have gotten the genes there, I think.

1:59 But the Firefighters still had some

2:00 fight in them. Look at this. They were

2:01 down four runs in the seventh inning.

2:03 Tyner Hughes just tied it up with a

2:04 double, two-RBI double. And then Dalton

2:07 Cornett, yeah, I love him, too, Johnny

2:08 Hummel. He draws a ball four straight.

2:10 THAT'S THE INNING-WINNING BALL four

2:12 straight. 5-4. After a comeback like

2:14 that, you're thinking Firefighters got

2:15 this in the bag. We're riding solo. The

2:17 Clowns not going to have it.

2:19 >> [music]

2:19 >> They tied the game up in the eighth

2:20 inning, and then Jaylen Vazquez, ninth

2:23 inning, two strikes, two outs. All it

2:25 took was one swing of the bat for his

2:26 second home run.

2:28 Slap that logo on the bracket. It's 4-3.

2:31 That's all Nick Wilson needed to shut

2:34 the door and nail it tight. Pop up for

2:36 Mason Maxwell. Bryant Danzilio wishes us

2:38 all a safe ride home. Clowns win it 4-3

2:41 on the back of 17 hits. They get their

2:44 first win since the Banana Ball Kickoff

2:46 event down in Tallahassee at the end of

2:48 February. But the guy that was the

2:49 showman of the night, you look [music]

2:50 at the offensive numbers, you think it'd

2:52 be someone there. It wasn't. David

2:53 Griffin changed the game in the fourth

2:56 through [music] sixth innings. Four

2:57 strikeouts, just one hit allowed.

2:59 Completely jammed up the Firefighters.

3:01 And yes, he was the showman of the

3:03 night. Now, the Firefighters also had

3:05 one of their best offensive performances

3:07 of the world tour so far, and that's

3:09 because of Noah Bridges. His first home

3:10 run last night in Little Rock, he had

3:12 his first three-hit game as a

3:14 Firefighter ever. He's been heating up.

3:15 We need to talk to him. He's on the

3:17 field, but uh

3:19 who's interviewing him, guys?

3:22 Poof. South Trimble has just made me

3:24 appear on the field. These magic tricks

3:26 are starting to get ridiculous, but I'm

3:27 here with Noah Bridges, so it's a great

3:28 magic trick nonetheless. Hey, man. First

3:30 home run of the season last night. That

3:31 had to feel good. Oh, it felt really

3:33 good. First of all, sick magic trick.

3:34 That was sick. Yeah, South's the man.

3:36 Yeah, first home run, yeah, I got a

3:37 piece of it, and it went went really

3:39 well. I liked that. This whole thing

3:41 with the chief, the dog, the barking,

3:43 everything, has just sort of taken on a

3:44 life of its own. What has brought out

3:46 that dog in you this season? Oh, man,

3:48 just a healthy body. Getting my

3:51 Getting my leg back to strength has been

3:53 amazing. Last year, I was probably

3:55 playing at like 60%. I had pain every

3:56 time I'd sprint. So, a healthy body is

3:59 bringing that dog in.

4:00 >> Yeah, it's feeling pretty good. I'm

4:00 blessed for that. Now, one thing that's

4:02 also a blessing here for Noah Bridges,

4:03 his brother Zachary recently engaged as

4:06 of Thursday. I need to know how you

4:08 found out about it. It was a surprise to

4:10 a lot of other people. Yeah, it was a it

4:11 was a big surprise to me. I knew he had

4:13 the ring. I knew he was going to

4:14 propose. And then we had practice. I

4:16 went home. I was doing laundry, getting

4:18 ready to pack. Me and my girlfriend went

4:19 to dinner. He was gone, and then I don't

4:22 use my phone at the dinner table, so I

4:24 got two missed calls from Madison, which

4:25 is his fiance, and I got a missed call

4:27 from him, Zachary, and they were all

4:29 FaceTimes. So, I was like, something

4:31 might be up. And then

4:32 they called my girlfriend, Emily. She

4:34 answered, and it's like,

4:35 "We're engaged." So, I was like, "What,

4:38 [laughter] dude? You didn't even tell

4:39 me." But I realized that's how my

4:41 brother operates. He's just in the

4:42 moment. It felt right, so he ripped it,

4:44 and then we hung up off the FaceTime,

4:46 and I told my girlfriend, Emily, "He

4:49 woke up this morning, he had no idea he

4:51 was going to propose. It just felt right

4:53 for him." So, it was really cool. It was

4:54 a good moment. They did He did a great

4:55 job. He did a great job. A surprise

4:57 engagement and a surprise new member for

4:58 the Bridges family. Hope to see Maddie

5:00 and ZB married here in the next couple

5:02 years. Give me a bark real quick, and

5:03 let's go out to break.

5:08 We got more barking and Firefighter

5:10 action right after this.

5:22 Sweetie, is that everyone in this

5:24 sold-out stadium

5:31 All right. All right.

5:41 >> [applause and cheering]

5:54 >> All right, so I'll just stay I'll just

5:55 stay

6:18 Back here in Montgomery, Alabama.

6:30 Days, and Maddie Warren had a chance to

6:31 talk to Eric Fox and Jackie Bradley Jr.

6:33 about that.

6:41 After an absolutely electric win for the

6:44 Clowns last night, coach, you have the

6:47 most rookies on your team out of any

6:49 team in Banana Ball, and yet they're

6:50 playing with the mentality of people who

6:52 have been here for a while. You get Nick

6:54 Wilson unfazed by World's Fastest

6:56 inning. David Griffin locking it down on

6:58 the mound. Jaylen Vazquez game-winning

7:00 home run. What does all of this say

7:03 about the mentality [music] of this

7:04 team?

7:05 Just guys coming in here, just kind of

7:07 getting ready to play. I mean, the main

7:08 Our main focus is just trying to play

7:10 the game fast, take care of the

7:11 baseball, and just have fun with it. I

7:14 mean, these guys come in here and have

7:15 fun, everything can kind of take care of

7:17 itself. So, that's our That's our main

7:18 goal, so that's what we're going to do.

7:20 Now, Jackie, we talked a little bit

7:22 about this yesterday, but obviously

7:24 Montgomery, huge city for the

7:26 Indianapolis Clowns, the original ones.

7:28 What does it feel like to step out onto

7:30 this field in that uniform, especially

7:32 after the game you guys had last night?

7:33 Yeah, it was an awesome game. It was a

7:35 great game to be a part of, and it's an

7:36 honor. You know, we talk about going

7:38 back in in time, and this was a huge

7:40 city for the Civil Rights Movement, and

7:43 back in the day, it was a big cultural

7:45 safe space

7:46 for players of color to be able to come

7:48 here, enjoy themselves, and kind of

7:51 you know, take a little relaxing

7:54 with the systemic oppression that that

7:56 would have happened back in the day. But

7:58 so, it's it's it's an honor to be able

8:00 to pay homage to them, and to have fun

8:02 with the guys.

8:04 Now, coach, going off of kind of what

8:06 we've talked about over this last week,

8:07 game twos have been a little tough for

8:09 the team. What's the approach going into

8:11 today, especially as the home team, to

8:13 kind of try to write the wrongs of the

8:14 past couple of weekends?

8:16 Just come out and be aggressive. I mean,

8:17 we got to try to grind out some ABs

8:19 whenever we're at at the plate, and then

8:21 just kind of play in defense. That's the

8:22 main thing. When you grind out ABs, put

8:24 the ball in play, and take care of the

8:26 baseball, everything going to take care

8:27 of itself. So, that's the main goal for

8:29 us today.

8:30 Well, thank you both so much. If last

8:32 night's game is any indication, it's

8:33 bound to be a good one today. So, best

8:35 of luck to you both. It's going to be a

8:37 good one, so you all are not going to

8:38 want to miss any second of it.

8:46 There are fire and flames shooting out

8:48 of the ground here in Montgomery,

8:49 Alabama, just moments away from first

8:51 pitch on night day two here, excuse me,

8:54 in Montgomery.

8:56 One of the original cities that really

8:57 embraced Banana Ball. So, we welcome you

8:59 inside the Fire Dispatch Center. We

9:00 thank you very much, Maddie Warren.

9:02 That's an awesome story about how much

9:04 impact has been made here in Montgomery.

9:07 Now, we transition to one of the more

9:09 important things here in Banana Ball

9:10 early on here in 2026, and that is the

9:13 wonderful Banana Ball Open. That is

9:16 something very different here in 2026 on

9:18 the world tour. We're going to play 11

9:19 games, and then the top four teams in

9:22 the Banana Ball Championship League

9:23 standings are going to qualify for the

9:25 Banana Ball Open. The other two, well,

9:27 they'll get to sit around and watch. The

9:29 top four though will get [music] an

9:30 opportunity to compete. We'll go one

9:32 against four, two against three. We'll

9:34 play the Banana Ball Open at Grayson

9:35 Stadium in Savannah from April 16th to

9:38 April 19th. The winner of the Open is

9:41 going to get a guaranteed, automatic

9:43 qualifying spot in the postseason.

9:45 That's of massive importance. So, now

9:47 that you know that, let's take a look at

9:48 the [music] standings. And right now,

9:50 the Savannah Bananas are out front and

9:51 furiously out front. 5-1 on the season.

9:54 They really have pretty much locked

9:56 themselves in here for the most part.

9:57 Party [music] Animals and Texas

9:58 Tailgaters both four and three, they

10:00 have some room for comfort.

10:01 Firefighters, Coconuts, and Clowns both

10:02 two and four. It's why this is really,

10:05 really important today. Firefighters and

10:07 the Clowns win, and they get themselves

10:09 to three and four, and really get

10:10 themselves in great position for the

10:12 Banana Ball Open. Again, that's April

10:13 16th through the 19th. We're just

10:15 moments away here from the first pitch

10:18 on Montgomery night two. We're going to

10:19 sing the national anthem, and then we're

10:21 going to play ball here in Alabama.

10:25 Oh, say [singing]

10:26 can you see

10:30 by the dawn's early [singing] light,

10:36 what so proudly

10:38 we held [singing]

10:41 at the twilight's

10:44 last gleaming? [singing]

10:47 Whose broad stripes and bright stars,

10:52 through the perilous

10:55 fight,

10:57 o'er the ramparts

11:00 we watched,

11:02 were so gallantly

11:06 streaming? [singing]

11:08 And the rockets'

11:11 red glare, [screaming]

11:13 the bombs bursting

11:16 in

11:18 air, gave proof through the night that

11:24 our flag was still

11:29 >> [screaming]

11:29 >> there.

11:30 Oh, say does that star-spangled

11:36 banner

11:38 yet wave,

11:42 o'er the land

11:45 of the free,

11:48 and the home

11:51 of the

11:52 >> [singing]

11:53 >> brave? [screaming]

11:58 Thank you very much, Celia Knox.

12:06 We are just about set for day two here

12:10 in Montgomery. We're lighting them up on

12:12 the field. Clowns doing it, Firefighters

12:15 doing it.

12:16 We're going to have fun. THERE'S LITERAL

12:18 FIRE AGAIN, out of the ground. That's

12:20 what you get when you come to a

12:21 Firefighters show. Now, again today,

12:24 it's a very different game. Yes, it is

12:25 technically a Firefighters headlining

12:27 game. You'll see the fire and the

12:28 flames, but it is a Clowns home game.

12:31 They will be in the bottom

12:33 parts of every inning batting, which

12:34 means they're in the field first, which

12:35 means let's meet the Clowns defense to

12:38 start this thing off.

12:40 Really important night for trick plays

12:41 again for the Clowns, because now they

12:43 have to try and deny that equalizer

12:45 point. And again, if you're new to that

12:47 rule, after eight innings or the final

12:50 full played inning before the final

12:51 inning, we'll give an extra [music]

12:53 point to the visitors if they have more

12:54 trick plays than the home team. You look

12:56 here, Bobby La Day has been so good at

12:58 shortstop. Just a [music] rookie in the

13:00 sport, but already nine trick plays at

13:02 one of the most important positions.

13:03 Karrell Prime back at first base, Eli

13:05 Payton going to third. That's more than

13:07 natural positions and where they were

13:08 going to play to start things out, but

13:11 now

13:12 we'll see if the Clowns can find a way

13:15 to deny that equalizer point to a

13:16 Firefighters squad that has started to

13:18 get a little bit more confident in the

13:20 way that they do their trick plays. Can

13:22 they find that extra equalizer point

13:24 they're going to need to today against a

13:26 Clowns squad that really woke up the

13:28 bats

13:30 on Saturday night. Now, the pitcher in

13:32 the middle of this whole thing is a

13:34 former Savannah Banana, Lord have mercy,

13:36 he's a former Firefighter,

13:38 >> [music]

13:38 >> and Gage Voorhees. Had a couple of games

13:40 with the Firefighters back in 2024 on

13:43 the world tour, before going to the

13:45 Savannah Bananas last year. He's one and

13:46 three on the year, four minutes and nine

13:48 seconds with the team in yellow. Was

13:51 drafted over to the Clowns in the Banana

13:53 Ball Championship League player draft

13:55 back in November.

13:57 And so far, they've been really looking

13:59 for that second day starter after David

14:01 Griffin. Now, you saw David win last

14:03 night in the middle innings, so this is

14:05 a perfect opportunity for someone like

14:07 Gage Voorhees to get himself going and

14:09 earn that second starting spot. He'll be

14:11 challenged along with Karrell Prime.

14:13 Seven innings of work so far, about five

14:15 minutes on the bump. He'd like to calm

14:16 that down, and the Firefighters really

14:18 would like to take advantage of that. At

14:19 6.43 ERA, something else the

14:21 Firefighters could really take advantage

14:23 of, but this is a long time Banana

14:25 Baller. He knows it. One of four, just

14:27 four Banana Ball returners on this

14:29 Clowns squad. A lot of rookie power, but

14:31 Gage Voorhees is going to be someone

14:32 they can really rely upon. What about

14:34 that Firefighters lineup? Now, again,

14:37 last night they didn't win, but they had

14:39 10 runs scored and nine hits. They

14:42 really have started to find their rhythm

14:44 over the last couple of games. They had

14:45 13 hits and 12 runs back in North Little

14:49 Rock just one Sunday ago. Tiner Hughes

14:51 stays in the lead-off spot. We wait to

14:53 see DC3, Logan Lacey, and EJ in that two

14:57 through four spot. But they can really

14:59 ring the bell on the offensive side. And

15:01 speaking of ring the bell, Caz Egan's

15:03 down there. Let's do this darn thing. I

15:05 think there's a little kid that's going

15:06 to do this.

15:10 I'm going to need some help starting

15:12 this two-hour Banana Ball time limit.

15:14 Please welcome FOUR-YEAR-OLD LORELEI.

15:18 >> [cheering]

15:21 >> Thank you, Lorelei. You are a true hero.

15:23 Now, here's what's going to happen. On

15:25 the count of three, myself and 7,000

15:28 [snorts]

15:28 people in attendance are going to yell

15:30 ring the bell. And when we do, you are

15:33 going to do just that.

15:35 One, two, three.

15:42 Showtime.

15:44 The bell is ringing, the sirens are

15:46 sounding, and the circus has started.

15:48 Let's play Banana Ball one more time on

15:50 a sweltery day here in Alabama. First up

15:53 against Gage Voorhees is young Tiner

15:56 Hughes, a former visitor. He is an

15:58 aggressive swinger. Last night, the

16:00 first pitch he saw, hit it, hit it far,

16:02 but it was the first fan caught foul

16:04 ball against the Firefighters here in

16:05 2026. The man calling the shots behind

16:07 the plate today is Jake Moore, and

16:09 quickly he's got Tiner in an 0-2 hole.

16:12 Tiny takes a look at that one to the

16:14 outside. Tiny really starting out nicely

16:16 here for the Firefighters. Leads him in

16:18 average, leads him in hits.

16:19 His first hit for the Firefighters,

16:22 as Ron Franklin would say, was bombed.

16:26 Right now, 2-2 count. And look at that,

16:28 launched one right into left field, a

16:29 base knock. Brian Dansereau won't move,

16:32 but Tiny already on the bases, and just

16:34 like that, one swing, one hit for the

16:37 Fighters.

16:38 DC3 coming on in.

16:40 You look at his stats last year, folks.

16:42 If you didn't think he was an All-Star,

16:43 it's only because the catcher position

16:44 was just so loaded a season ago. His

16:47 numbers, 347.

16:49 His slashing

16:51 His slash line, excuse me, his slashing

16:52 line, slash line was 347 / 14 / 540. 43

16:56 hits on the year.

16:58 Pick over to first, not in time. Tiny

17:00 back, Karrell Prime laying it in a

17:01 little bit extra.

17:03 Dalton starting to wake up his bat last

17:04 week. Three hits on Sunday, and all four

17:07 of his plate appearances resulted in a

17:08 run, but he sends that one into the Tide

17:11 and/or Eagle stands, and that one

17:13 bounces up.

17:15 Had some flashbacks to last night. The

17:17 first ball that went into the stands was

17:19 a fan caught foul ball, the first one

17:20 against the Firefighters in 2026.

17:23 Would like that not to happen again, and

17:24 it did not. Dalton Cornett stays alive

17:26 to 1-1 count.

17:29 DC3 looks at one on the outside.

17:32 And it's in there for strike. 1-2.

17:38 Right back up the middle. Can that one

17:39 get through? No, it cannot.

17:40 BEHIND-THE-BACK JAYLEN VASQUEZ WITH THE

17:43 BARE HAND TURNS the double play.

17:46 Bobby La Day,

17:48 show your stuff.

17:51 Right behind-the-back for a trick play.

17:54 That was sick.

17:56 His 10th of the year. Maybe even more

17:59 impressive was the fact that Vasquez

18:00 caught that with the bare hand, jumped

18:02 up, and hit that Derek Jeter-like throw.

18:04 And already two away

18:06 after the lead-off runner goes.

18:09 Clowns turn a double play, and Gage

18:10 Voorhees

18:12 quickly trying to get an out here. And

18:14 guess what? Eli Payton, oh, he went

18:15 behind-the-back and Karrell Prime able

18:17 to dig it out before Lacey gets over to

18:19 first. It's a second trick play, and the

18:21 Clowns, how about that? In 2 minutes and

18:22 22 seconds, are out of that thing. And

18:25 what looked like it could be immediate

18:26 trouble off the bat of Tiner Hughes,

18:28 resulted in absolutely nothing. How in

18:30 the world did Eli Payton get that one

18:31 all the way over there?

18:33 Behind-the-back, too. Clark Gilmore

18:35 giving him some lessons.

18:36 >> [cheering]

18:39 >> Do we have any Bama fans IN THE CROWD?

18:42 >> [cheering]

18:44 >> THAT IS WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR. WELL, right

18:46 now, we are going to have a little race.

18:48 If they come on out between some tigers

18:52 and some elephants. They should be

18:54 coming through this back gate right now,

18:56 if it's not locked. Yeah, there we go.

18:59 Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our

19:02 mini mascots.

19:06 Oh, they're excited. All right, guys.

19:08 It's going to be a mini mascot race.

19:10 When I say go, first one to get to home

19:12 plate is the winner. Will it be the

19:14 elephants? Will it be the tigers? On

19:16 your mark, get set, GO!

19:22 WHO WILL IT BE, FANS?

19:26 That elephant's running way out of the

19:30 Where's that [music] elephant going?

19:36 He's

19:37 He's going the wrong

19:40 Yeah, point him in the right direction.

19:42 Come on, tigers.

19:47 I think he just wanted to meet some

19:48 players.

19:51 >> [music]

19:51 >> We got a tiger fan in the weed. Will the

19:54 elephant CATCH UP?

19:58 LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, give it up for a

20:01 mini tiger.

20:06 And one more time, make some noise for

20:08 all our mini mascots.

20:17 >> [cheering]

20:20 >> Well, welcome back to the train tracks

20:22 here of Montgomery, Alabama. Let's take

20:24 a look at the Firefighter defense.

20:25 Little change at first, Mason Maxwell

20:27 will line up there, Eric Jones Jr.

20:29 behind the dish at home plate to catch

20:31 it.

20:32 Lacy Maxwell, six trick plays the corner

20:35 infield spots, that's important. Kayden

20:37 Green leads the team with nine of those

20:38 bad boys at shortstop, Tiny right behind

20:40 him at eight. The outfield, we'll see if

20:42 they can recover from a little bit of a

20:44 difficult late inning stretch.

20:46 But they're also very potent, 47 trick

20:49 plays [music] on the year. What about

20:50 the Clowns lineup here? Jaylen Vasquez

20:52 will lead you off.

20:53 And boy, howdy, did he make an impact or

20:56 what last night?

20:58 Absolutely torched the final ball he saw

21:00 for the tune of his second home run of

21:02 the game or second home run of the

21:03 season. Willie Carter is dancing with

21:05 his shirt off and some Tims on.

21:07 That's how you know that man is vibing.

21:10 Had one hit in five plate appearances,

21:12 but that one hit the most important.

21:14 Austin Temple is the man with the neon

21:16 green

21:18 on the mound.

21:20 Temp last week was unbelievable. [music]

21:22 Two and two-thirds innings.

21:24 Worked the first and the third like a

21:25 magician. Absolutely not letting anybody

21:28 with the coconuts get on, but Vasquez is

21:30 going to get on with a hit by pitch.

21:33 Temple doesn't believe that he got hit.

21:36 Either way, Vasquez seems to sell it

21:39 like he did and now he's on the first.

21:40 And how about the man coming up now?

21:42 Jackie Bradley Jr. Six ABs last night,

21:45 had four hits.

21:47 One RBI. All four were singles, by the

21:49 way. He just kept going. And man, that

21:51 is tight.

21:53 I don't know if that got him or not.

21:55 Either way, Jaylen Vasquez sold it well

21:56 enough and Austin Temple now has to work

21:58 out of trouble. It's one of the things

21:59 he told me at the beginning of the year

22:01 he really wanted to work on is getting

22:02 out of some adversity that's been handed

22:04 to him. Last week he really did that.

22:06 Jackie Bradley Jr.

22:08 swings at one and just kind of dribbles

22:09 it foul right to Jared Donaldson who's

22:11 got a junior firefighter helmet on.

22:14 Yes, Jared trying to go back in time a

22:17 little bit along with Fisher Polidor.

22:20 JB again swing and a miss and Austin

22:22 Temple quickly up one two in the count.

22:32 JBJ, former World Series champion with

22:34 the Boston Red Sox. Did that plunk him?

22:37 No, they say it's a foul. Right off the

22:38 end of the bat.

22:40 His bat flew out of his hands.

22:42 I think Austin Temple for a moment

22:43 thought, "Why have to be me again?" Said

22:45 it won't be.

22:46 Temple wants a new ball, he'll get it.

22:48 Boy, that was close.

22:53 Former All-Star with the Red Sox in his

22:56 first season with the Clowns and he

22:57 swings

22:59 right through it.

23:03 But it's a foul.

23:08 Temple, THAT ONE IS ROCKETED INTO RIGHT

23:10 FIELD. DARIAN MCDOWELL WON'T EVEN CHASE

23:13 IT. JBJ

23:15 >> [cheering]

23:15 >> TO THE GRASS.

23:18 FIRST HOMER OF THE WEEKEND, HITS THE

23:21 NARUTOCH RUN. It's his first walk-off

23:24 here in Banana Ball. And how about that

23:26 for Jackie Bradley Jr.?

23:40 That's his second walk-off, excuse me,

23:42 IN BANANA BALL, BUT JBJ'S FIRST HOMER IS

23:45 A WALK-OFF. MATTY WANT TO TALK TO THAT

23:46 MAN.

23:47 >> FIRST HOME RUN in Banana Ball and that

23:49 was a no-doubter. How did it feel? It

23:52 felt great. Anytime you can win an

23:54 inning, you kind of keep it going. Let's

23:55 go. Hey, they walked it off and I don't

23:57 think that ball has come down yet, so

23:59 Zack, all you.

24:01 That man can do just anything he wants

24:03 to

24:04 on a ball field. As soon as it left his

24:06 bat, everybody knew it.

24:09 A walk-off homer, his second walk-off of

24:11 the year, but his first homer in Banana

24:14 Land.

24:15 And it was an absolute rocket out to

24:18 right field. JBJ

24:21 gets a two-nothing inning win for the

24:23 Clowns and just like last night they

24:26 earned the first point on the first

24:28 inning.

24:29 >> [cheering]

24:29 >> An incredible start for the Indianapolis

24:31 Clowns.

24:33 >> [screaming]

24:34 >> Junior firefighters getting loaded up.

24:36 Gage Fourhee's

24:38 >> [cheering]

24:38 >> already got some run support and point

24:40 support to work with.

24:42 >> [cheering]

24:43 >> The Banana Baller

24:45 from the two league two years prior,

24:47 excuse me, can't talk, easy for me to

24:48 say.

24:50 >> [cheering]

24:51 >> Works quickly after giving up a lead-off

24:53 single to Tiny Hughes. Now coming up

24:55 against him

24:56 >> [cheering]

24:57 >> is Eric Jones Jr. his former catcher.

25:00 By the way, the first home run that EJ

25:02 hit with the Firefighters is also off of

25:04 one of his former teammates in Andy

25:05 Archer, so we'll see if EJ

25:08 finds a way to get another one. That is

25:10 a cute junior firefighter right there.

25:12 She looks like she's having the time of

25:14 her life. It is a packed house here

25:17 in Montgomery, Alabama.

25:19 Temperatures going to reach the 80s.

25:23 But nobody seems deterred by that.

25:29 So here comes EJ. Last weekend, three

25:32 hits in Little Rock. Not able to find

25:34 much last night. See if he can do

25:36 something here tonight.

25:37 Fourhee's starts him off outside.

25:41 EJ also manning first base and he lobs

25:43 this one into left field into the

25:44 stands.

25:48 And it bounces foul. That is exactly

25:51 where that young man jumped up on the

25:53 stairs and caught a foul ball last

25:55 night. So we all got a little bit

25:56 tighter up here.

25:58 But no harm, no foul. EJ stares a ball

25:59 two.

26:02 There's a couple of guys getting engaged

26:04 here on the Firefighters, Zachary

26:05 Bridges

26:06 earlier this week

26:08 by surprise. It's a great bender from

26:10 Gage Fourhee's to fool EJ and keep him

26:12 frozen. EJ's about to get married,

26:15 likely in the summer.

26:16 Tough step. Boy, that one got weird off

26:19 the hop of the Fire Launcher. Chris

26:20 Burgess is over to first, but it's a

26:22 safe steal of first base. Boy, that got

26:24 closer than EJ might have wanted to.

26:27 The ball bounced off the Fire Launcher

26:28 behind home plate.

26:30 Burgess actually got it off the ricochet

26:32 and somehow was able to beat the throw

26:34 out to first base and now Smoke launches

26:36 smoke bomb and boy, that was tight.

26:39 But South Trimble out at first and EJ

26:42 earns his first steal of first base here

26:43 in 2026.

26:47 That's the problem with those Fire

26:49 Launchers in the back by the way. They

26:50 can really take a bounce off those

26:51 things.

26:52 But hey,

26:54 that'll work.

26:56 Armando Becerra,

26:58 his first year as a full-time player

27:00 with the Firefighters.

27:01 The former visitor checked back on over

27:03 to Smoke and he's back clearly in time.

27:09 Really becoming the captain of that

27:10 outfield. Is that one is thrown down?

27:12 It's lobbed. Carell Prime couldn't bring

27:14 it in and you know what? Armando Becerra

27:16 is going to earn himself a trip to first

27:17 base.

27:19 Just needed that one to chop over the

27:20 glove of Carell and he does

27:22 >> [cheering]

27:22 >> the job. So runners on at first and

27:24 second and nobody away.

27:26 That is a tough one and Carell,

27:28 >> [screaming]

27:28 >> he is six foot a million inches, but he

27:30 just could not find enough height there

27:33 to keep that one down.

27:35 >> [cheering]

27:35 >> So two one, nobody out for young Peanut.

27:39 Kayden Green, returning to Alabama,

27:42 former Auburn Tiger,

27:45 is able to watch War Eagle get a

27:47 walk-off win over the fourth-ranked

27:49 Tennessee Volunteers

27:51 in a top-five matchup a couple of nights

27:53 ago. Now trying to do THE SAME. LOBS ONE

27:55 TO LEFT FIELD. CHASING BRIAN DANCERO

27:57 BACK AND THAT ONE, GOODBYE!

28:00 >> [cheering]

28:02 [applause]

28:03 >> PEANUT

28:05 GETS US GOING NUTS. Three-run shot.

28:09 >> [screaming]

28:11 >> AND IT'S A THREE-NOTHING INNING lead

28:13 here for the Firefighters.

28:17 >> [music]

28:22 [music]

28:28 [music]

28:29 >> Kayden Green had two home runs in 2025.

28:33 He's halfway there.

28:35 One swing of the bat and he knew it,

28:37 too. Brian Dancero thought that would

28:38 take a bounce off the train tracks and

28:40 if it did, it was still gone. A

28:42 three-nothing lead and what a way to

28:44 respond for the Firefighters. Ron

28:46 Franklin, Jovan Ray, Johnny Hummel and

28:49 Peanut all going to have something to

28:50 celebrate about in their house later

28:52 this week.

28:54 By the way, Peanut, another guy engaged.

28:57 He and his fiance, Bailey.

28:59 I believe Bailey is here this week, by

29:01 the way. So just everything going

29:02 Peanut's way.

29:04 Chris Burgess slow to get up after that

29:06 one.

29:07 Man, catching, you have to be a brave

29:09 soul to catch, man.

29:11 You're getting 90 mile an hour hurled at

29:13 your guts. Every now and then one takes

29:15 a bounce

29:18 and hits you in the regions you'd rather

29:20 not talk about getting hit in.

29:23 Chris Burgess is a tough old bird

29:24 though, he'll go back in there.

29:26 Burgess, by the way, coming into this

29:28 weekend was hitting .500.

29:30 Guy's seeing beach balls.

29:33 >> [cheering]

29:33 >> One two.

29:35 Darian McDowell stares at that one.

29:37 Premium in his first year in Banana

29:39 Ball, former sixth-round draft pick of

29:41 the San Diego Padres fouls that one

29:42 back. His story is rather

29:45 cool and one that shows loyalty and

29:48 After getting drafted in 2024,

29:50 [screaming]

29:50 he retired from baseball in 2025 to help

29:53 take care of his younger brother Austin,

29:55 >> [screaming]

29:55 >> who has special needs and his father was

29:57 his main caretaker. He was unfortunately

30:00 diagnosed with cancer, but he's doing

30:01 much better now. Darian pops up into a

30:03 double trick play.

30:05 Tip drill from Bobby La Day behind the

30:07 back from Jaylen Vasquez. But now Darian

30:09 McDowell back in Banana Ball.

30:11 Got an opportunity to get a little bit

30:12 closer to home.

30:13 And boy, that was really special for

30:15 him. And now we got something really

30:16 special with Mason Maxwell.

30:24 >> [singing]

30:39 >> Well, I know [music] that you're in love

30:42 with him cuz I saw you dancing in the

30:46 gym. You both kicked [music] off your

30:48 shoes. Man, I dig those rhythm and

30:52 blues.

30:53 I was a lonely [music]

30:54 teenage bronc and buck with a pink

30:58 carnation and a pickup truck. But I knew

31:01 [singing] I was out of [music] luck on

31:04 the day

31:05 the music

31:07 died.

31:08 >> [music]

31:09 >> I started singing, "Bye-bye, [singing]

31:12 Miss American Pie." Drove my Chevy

31:15 [music] to the levee, but the levee was

31:17 dry. Them good old boys were drinking

31:19 [music] whiskey and rye singing, "This

31:22 will be the day that I die.

31:25 This will [music] be the day that I

31:27 die."

31:30 Now for 10 years we Classics.

31:33 How could you beat them? American Pie.

31:36 Driving Chevys to the levee, but the

31:38 levee's dry.

31:39 Good old boys drinking whiskey and rye.

31:42 Thinking this will be the day that I

31:43 die. And there are firefighters

31:44 literally laying on the ground right

31:46 next to Mason.

31:48 Right where he could have fouled it off.

31:51 Armando is over there. I think G Ray is

31:52 over there. They took their life into

31:54 their own hands there.

31:57 Now they finally get up. Mason Maxwell.

32:00 Two for four last night and an RBI as

32:02 well. And now man on first base.

32:04 He's been really comfortable over there

32:05 just chasing trick plays.

32:07 Moving full-time to first base this

32:09 year, the 11th round draft pick in last

32:11 year's Banana Ball player draft.

32:14 He works that count back up to 2-2.

32:18 If he can find the swing in his bat like

32:19 he did last night, Mason Maxwell can be

32:21 incredibly difficult to get out and can

32:23 be an incredible player for the

32:24 Firefighters. Again, 11th rounder. I

32:26 don't know how many guys are starting

32:28 every game like he has this season. And

32:30 he earns himself a ball four sprints.

32:32 How about the patience there from Mad

32:33 Max?

32:34 He'll run around first, just pull up the

32:36 brakes on right there and head back.

32:38 That's a good AB for Mason Maxwell.

32:40 Stays alive and finds himself on the

32:43 first base. And now we say hello to the

32:46 man with a dog in him. They call him K9

32:49 around these parts.

32:50 Noah Bridges.

32:54 Last night, first home run of the

32:56 season. First home run since last July

32:58 in Salem, Virginia, where he walked that

33:01 thing off to dead center over like a

33:02 25-ft wall.

33:05 I lost my vocal cords that night for a

33:07 moment.

33:11 But Noah Biscuits, as my friends J Von

33:13 Ray and Ron Franklin referred to him

33:15 last night, goes down 0-2.

33:17 Threw out a runner on a ball four sprint

33:19 at home.

33:20 Firefighters desperately needed that to

33:21 get out of the second inning and [music]

33:23 they did just that thanks to Noah

33:25 Bridges, who by the way has just been

33:27 pulled in every direction. You heard

33:28 from him earlier in the pre-show.

33:30 He was at pre-show plaza hitting foam

33:32 balls to fans.

33:34 This is a guy truly fans first. He will

33:35 stick around all night to make sure that

33:38 he signs autographs, but he'll have to

33:39 go back to the dugout there cuz that is

33:41 strike three and a beauty on the

33:42 backside from Gage Voorhees.

33:45 And just like that, two away.

33:47 But how about the man with the perfect

33:49 name for the Fighters? Lamar Sparks. You

33:52 know his story good and well here.

33:54 Former fifth round draft pick of the

33:56 Baltimore Orioles straight out of high

33:57 school. Struggled with some injuries.

34:00 That one passed as Lamar actually could

34:01 have stolen first base there. He elects

34:03 not to. Mason Maxwell move from station

34:05 to station and gets up to second base.

34:19 The 1-0, make it 2-0.

34:27 Lamar struggled WITH SOME INJURIES, BUT

34:28 HE'S NOT GOING TO STRUGGLE WITH THAT

34:30 ONE.

34:31 SCOREBOARD [screaming] HUNTING.

34:35 LET ME GIVE YOU THE SPARKNOTES.

34:37 LAMAR JUST CRUSHED THAT.

34:41 TWO RUNS LATER

34:43 and the Firefighters lead five to

34:45 nothing.

34:46 It's Lamar's first [music] homer in

34:48 Banana Ball and he could not have hit

34:50 that any better.

34:52 Fire.

34:53 >> [music]

34:53 >> Launch and flames. Dance on home. Boom.

34:58 Fire.

34:59 Explosions.

35:01 Trucks.

35:03 Jeep.

35:04 >> [music]

35:06 >> That was incredible. Two home runs in

35:09 the inning and the Firefighters [music]

35:11 have caught fire.

35:13 Five runs in the frame. Lamar Sparks.

35:18 That young man has found his swing

35:20 quick, fast and in a hurry.

35:22 And that's the 10-hole hitter by the

35:24 way. We're already back up to the top of

35:25 the lineup.

35:29 Woo, buddy.

35:35 Tiny.

35:36 Out to center field. JBJ underneath.

35:38 High knees. Brings it on in and that

35:41 will do it for the frame. But the

35:43 Firefighters absolutely explode. Five

35:47 runs off the back of two homers and they

35:49 lead it five to nothing. And now folks,

35:52 he's back by popular demand because

35:54 y'all loved him so much. Ladies and

35:56 gentlemen, I've been referring to him a

35:58 couple times here in the first couple

35:59 innings.

36:00 It's Ron Franklin back up in the booth,

36:02 baby. Yes, sir. We here. We here again.

36:04 We here again. The Firefighters are

36:05 swinging right had to do He had to do

36:07 everything in his power by the way to

36:08 not blow the spot cuz the Firefighters

36:11 are losing their minds right now. I was

36:12 hyped, bro. I was hyped, man. Now, What

36:14 we got? What we got? home of the

36:15 Montgomery Biscuits. So, Ron Franklin,

36:18 we have some I believe it's like a

36:19 cherry or a strawberry deal right there.

36:20 You said you wanted that. A little cream

36:22 cheese on there. And like this looks

36:24 like some Nashville hot stuff right

36:25 here. Not a big pickles guy, but I might

36:27 try it just for good measure.

36:29 Nashville the We We got some Montgomery

36:31 Biscuits. These are golden and flaky,

36:32 man.

36:33 Bon appetit by the way, everybody. I'll

36:35 try the pickle. Why not?

36:37 I got like Smell that thing.

36:40 Smells good, man. That's my pickle.

36:41 That's my pickles. You going first or

36:43 you want me to go first? Let's go

36:43 together, man. All right, go together.

36:45 Put the mic up. I really don't want to

36:46 sound like I'm chewing on the mic.

36:52 Oh, yeah.

36:56 >> [cheering]

36:58 >> Yeah, you can taste them like what? The

37:00 flavors are just melting on my tongue.

37:03 Woo, right now in the words of Vito,

37:05 [cheering]

37:05 11 out of 10. This is incredible.

37:09 I haven't had a lot of pickles on

37:10 sandwiches before. My My world's about

37:12 to get changed here, Ron. Let you

37:15 We back. We back. Yeah, Bobby's about to

37:16 bat. Ron, we can keep eating this by the

37:18 way. Oh, we good? Yeah, man. You can

37:19 keep going. You played in Juco with

37:22 Bobby La Day. Yeah. That was one of the

37:23 best draft. How nice was he back then?

37:26 Bro, Bobby was the best Well, when I

37:27 went to Juco, my first year I met Bobby.

37:30 He was the starting shortstop getting

37:31 recruited by a lot of D1 teams and he

37:34 would end up going to ULL for a couple

37:36 years. But Bobby was unbelievable.

37:38 [cheering]

37:39 I thought he was a damn unicorn.

37:41 He might have been.

37:46 Right to Peanut. Back handed. Between

37:48 the legs. Over to first. Mason Maxwell

37:50 in time for the out.

37:52 >> going crazy today, man. Peanut already

37:54 with a trick play and a homer.

37:56 >> [cheering]

37:57 >> He's feeling good back in Bama, ain't

37:58 he? He is. You watched War Eagle walk

38:00 off the Tennessee Volunteers another

38:01 couple nights ago and he was like,

38:03 "Hey, man. I got to one-up those guys."

38:06 I ain't going to lie. I got some

38:06 strawberry on the mic.

38:07 >> [laughter]

38:08 >> You got strawberry on the mic?

38:10 >> [cheering]

38:11 >> I just want to tell you you're all

38:12 right. We can clean that.

38:14 Ain't nothing wrong with that.

38:15 I'm not going to lie. They might have to

38:16 reserve a bathroom for him, man. That's

38:17 spicy.

38:20 >> [cheering]

38:20 >> Woo.

38:21 Is that bad?

38:22 >> Yeah, man. You might have to take

38:23 play-by-play for me.

38:24 Joe Lighton.

38:25 High into the sun. Hey, behind the back.

38:27 Can someone catch this?

38:28 >> Who called it?

38:29 >> Logan Lacey, you bet. Me.

38:32 Ron Franklin did call that.

38:33 >> Hey, 100% when Logan go behind the back,

38:35 it's 100% out. Easy. Except

38:39 he dropped it. He did? Yeah, he dropped

38:41 it.

38:42 >> [laughter]

38:42 >> I ain't even see it. They just SHOWED

38:43 THE REPLAY.

38:46 WE WERE SO EXCITED, MAN. Those biscuits

38:48 really clowned us. That's a jinx, man.

38:50 Sorry, Lacey. No, man. You called it. Do

38:51 it again. There's no such thing as an

38:53 announcer's jinx. It's just timing, Ron

38:55 Franklin.

38:55 >> Timing. Timing. You and J Von Ray, by

38:57 the way, last night, one of the best

38:59 parts of this broadcast, not just by my

39:00 opinion. The comments on YouTube seem to

39:02 think so as well.

39:03 >> Bro, I had fun. I ain't even going to

39:04 lie, man.

39:05 We made this

39:06 They People want you to be a full-time

39:08 member of BTV. Tiny. Between the legs.

39:11 DID MASON MAXWELL GET IN? YES, he did.

39:14 >> Stop playing with them boys, man.

39:19 Behind the back.

39:21 It's a double trick play.

39:23 That was incredible. Mason Maxwell has

39:25 made such an improvement this year at

39:27 first base. We saw him just marginally

39:29 there last year. He's full-time there.

39:31 And if they want EJ to catch full-time,

39:33 they could cuz Mason Maxwell is so

39:35 trustworthy at first.

39:36 >> over there, man. Last year he was in the

39:37 outfield. He I know he struggled a

39:39 little bit.

39:39 >> And by the way, I know his He struggled

39:41 last year at the plate. He seems locked

39:44 in right now. He locked He said I'm his

39:45 good luck charm, so Well, there you go.

39:47 >> That's what he said. I ain't say that,

39:48 he said it. You was up in the booth here

39:50 earlier, even if you weren't on the mic

39:51 during the Ball Four Sprint, so we'll go

39:53 ahead and just call you the good luck

39:54 charm.

39:54 >> [laughter]

39:55 >> Austin Temple with THE TRICK PITCH

39:56 STRIKEOUT, AND HE GOT IT!

39:58 BETWEEN THE LEGS!

40:01 HIT HIM UP, AUSTIN TEMPLE!

40:03 UNDERNEATH THE LEGS, that was

40:05 incredible. Ron Franklin, stay on this

40:07 mic.

40:07 >> [applause]

40:08 >> But Austin Temple earns the under the

40:09 leg strikeout. Correlle Prime was

40:11 frozen, and now Maddie Warren

40:13 >> [music]

40:13 >> is standing by with Flash, the kid.

40:16 Flash, this is my first weekend with the

40:18 Clowns, and when I tell you the thing I

40:19 was most excited about was for the

40:22 shadow ball performance.

40:24 What is that? What was it like learning

40:26 that? What was the process? Gotcha. In

40:27 the Negro Leagues, they used to put on a

40:29 show. So, they would they would all run

40:31 out there. I It would probably be in

40:33 about the seventh inning. They make the

40:34 ball disappear, and they'd give a

40:36 high-energy invisible performance, and

40:39 we're bringing that back to life in our

40:40 pregame show.

40:41 Was it hard to learn that? Yes, so that

40:44 that took weeks on weeks on weeks.

40:45 Jessie critiquing every point of it. It

40:48 is like if you don't do it with energy,

40:49 it sucks. So, you have to work your way

40:51 up, do it with 100%, and make sure that

40:54 the fans are lost. It's like a magic

40:55 trick, slight of hand, so they don't

40:57 even know that the ball is gone by the

40:58 time [music] we end up doing the play at

41:00 home plate. It looks just as cool as you

41:01 would think in person. So, if you're not

41:03 watching the Clowns, they're putting on

41:04 a show way more than shadow ball, but

41:06 shadow ball, it's peak entertainment,

41:08 y'all. Come on.

41:10 Maddie, thank you so much. Flash, the

41:12 kid's awesome. Ron Franklin's awesome.

41:14 The Firefighters just had an awesome

41:15 inning. These biscuits are incredible,

41:17 by the way.

41:18 Blake O'Hara is our scorer.

41:20 All right, next to me, Blake, you want

41:21 to try this, man?

41:24 M Dog, you want to shout at this, our

41:25 producer?

41:27 Jeez, that's your pass. I'm telling you,

41:29 this is incredible. Ron Franklin, let me

41:30 turn your mic back on.

41:32 These biscuits, man. Oh, I still didn't

41:34 turn you on.

41:36 This is incredible. There you are.

41:38 We're back.

41:40 Gage Worley is out for his third inning

41:42 of work.

41:43 We certainly like for that to be better.

41:45 I'm still chewing, by the way. These

41:46 biscuits are really They're so good.

41:50 Please don't ever use that word again.

41:52 OH MY GOD.

41:54 BY THE WAY, YOU SAID THE D word now

41:56 twice on the broadcast. That's so funny.

41:58 Y'all close your ears. That's all right,

41:59 man.

42:00 Tell you what, the Firefighters fifth

42:02 inning was dirtier and filthier

42:06 I appreciate you saying dang there, by

42:08 the

42:08 >> [laughter]

42:09 >> That one's foul.

42:11 It goes foul. No, the Firefighters fifth

42:13 inning was filthier than Ron Franklin's

42:14 language here on the mic. Get through.

42:16 Dalton Yes, sir. Right on through for a

42:18 base hit. Yes, sir. Three.

42:20 And if you thought the Firefighters were

42:21 going to be

42:22 depressed about last night, boy, their

42:24 bats don't seem to communicate that.

42:26 Hey, it's kind of toasty up here, ain't

42:28 it? It's toasty everywhere.

42:30 Let's go ahead and honor the Firefighter

42:31 of the Night.

42:33 Escorting him to the plate is our

42:35 Firefighter of the Day, District Chief

42:38 Craig Flynn.

42:40 >> [cheering]

42:41 >> Craig has served your community at the

42:44 Montgomery Fire and Rescue for 40 years.

42:50 Let's make some noise for District Chief

42:53 Craig Flynn!

42:56 >> [cheering]

42:57 [music]

42:59 [applause]

43:01 >> Been 40 [music] years in the Montgomery

43:04 Fire and Rescue.

43:06 Serving so many different places and so

43:08 many different positions, yet he does it

43:10 for four decades. That's incredible. We

43:12 salute

43:14 Chief Craig Flynn and all of our great

43:15 Firefighters across the [laughter]

43:17 country who might be watching today.

43:19 That's incredible. My father-in-law,

43:20 Frankie Hasty back up in Virginia, is a

43:22 40-year Firefighter in Cartersville,

43:24 Virginia. We Obviously, we've met Dakota

43:26 McFadden's father, Steve. He just

43:28 retired after after 40 years in service

43:31 in North Carolina. There are so many

43:32 great Firefighters that we've been able

43:34 to connect with both because of family

43:36 relations, but also just because of this

43:38 great job, right? Right, right, right.

43:41 Showtime.

43:42 Hey, doing that for 40 years, that's

43:43 crazy.

43:44 >> It is, isn't it? That's crazy. That's

43:45 dedication.

43:46 >> half this biscuit to go, by the way.

43:49 I'm not sure I'll be able to finish it

43:50 on the air. Lacy shares at one outside,

43:52 it's a 3-1 count.

43:54 Come Lacy.

43:56 That's the first time I just took a bite

43:57 of the chicken. That's real good

43:58 chicken, too. You like pickles? Uh-oh,

44:00 come on.

44:01 >> Lacy to left field. You got to score.

44:02 >> a base knock. Got to score three. Here

44:04 comes Dalton Cornett, and he will stop

44:05 at third. Lacy

44:07 sliding in with the double.

44:08 >> And shoot them down. Attaboy, Wons.

44:11 Logan Lacy

44:12 his first double since FSU, and that

44:14 looked awfully good.

44:15 >> Attaboy, Wons. Hey, who's up, Ron?

44:18 F-f-f-f-f-f-four.

44:20 As you and Giovanni said last night.

44:22 E.J. E.J. E.J.

44:26 Two people on, too. Oh, yeah.

44:28 He thrives in these situations.

44:30 He wanted that one bad. So, he'll go

44:32 down 0-1.

44:34 E.J., the all-time leader for the

44:35 Savannah Bananas in home runs

44:38 with 29. He's taking two home run swings

44:40 there. That one goes down the line.

44:41 Dalton Cornett

44:43 scooting on home. He's facing off

44:45 against his teammate, right now. He is.

44:46 Logan Gage Worley is

44:48 >> [cheering]

44:49 >> and Correlle Prime. Oh, yeah.

44:51 Faced them last night, too. Man, that

44:52 sandwich is hot. Oh my lord.

44:54 >> [cheering]

44:55 >> You put that one back.

44:57 I just split in the two, by the way.

44:58 That's how flaky that biscuit was. To no

44:59 two count.

45:02 Nope. High up? No, sir. And right now,

45:04 the first thing you notice about this

45:06 Firefighter bunch today, they seem to be

45:08 a little bit more patient in getting

45:09 their pitches.

45:11 E.J. Deep to center field.

45:13 >> you, four.

45:14 Jackie Bradley Jr. will bring it on in.

45:17 Throw over to third, won't be in time.

45:18 Dalton Cornett scores, and it's a 1-0

45:21 lead in the inning for the Firefighters.

45:24 Oh, we got some celebrations. Oh, Ron,

45:26 what are we doing?

45:28 >> [music]

45:33 [music]

45:40 [music]

45:42 >> I didn't know you could you go up and

45:43 down on the knees like that right now.

45:45 >> knees feeling good. You feel like you

45:47 could get out there, couldn't you? For

45:48 real. I I I'd be asking my trainer if I

45:50 could run, but she'd be like, no.

45:51 >> I was about to say, what what Sydney

45:52 would not let you run. Sydney Sydney

45:54 would put me on the bench quick. Sydney

45:55 would yell at you real quick.

45:58 Real quick.

45:59 Armando Becerra

46:01 comes on in. Was able to sneak one

46:03 somehow over the outstretched and

46:05 jumping glove of Correlle Prime. I don't

46:06 know that I've ever seen anybody do

46:07 that.

46:09 He looks at one inside. Armando was

46:10 training actually to be a Firefighter.

46:12 Wanted to be a Firefighter in high

46:13 school, and was actually starting to get

46:15 a certification, yeah. Down in Miami.

46:18 Right at the last moment, they started

46:20 taking the program away, so he couldn't

46:21 finish the program out. Right now, he

46:23 would like to finish out a Ball Four

46:25 Sprint and bring in another run. Could

46:26 you see yourself being a Firefighter?

46:27 No, well, I

46:29 I feel like I could. I could see that

46:31 being a Ball Four Sprint, indeed. Logan

46:32 Lacy races on home.

46:34 It would be cool. Oh, Armando going for

46:36 two, and he'll slide on in. Not even a

46:38 question.

46:39 >> Bet move. Bet move right there.

46:42 >> [cheering and applause]

46:44 >> Right now, the Firefighters offense

46:45 turning the tide right back on the

46:47 Indianapolis Clowns. Looks very much

46:49 like the story we saw last night going

46:51 back around. Hey, Ron Franklin, who up?

46:53 Hey, that's my roommate right there,

46:54 number two.

46:56 Peanut. All right, I got to ask you

46:57 this, cuz I asked both these guys the

46:59 flies last night. I'll ask you a couple

47:00 questions about the house. Number one,

47:01 who's the dirtiest? Dirtiest, Giovanni.

47:03 Okay, that Everybody agreed on that one

47:05 so far. Who's the loudest? Loudest,

47:07 Giovanni. Okay, why why is Giovanni like

47:10 the worst roommate ever? Him and him and

47:12 Johnny be arguing 24/7, so it's like

47:14 they both just be yapping at each other.

47:18 Peanut. Slaps it in the right CENTER

47:20 FIELD. IS THAT GOING TO LAND?

47:22 >> OH MY GOD.

47:22 >> IT WILL. Sticks right there in the

47:24 ground. JOE GRAY STOPS. ARMANDO RACING

47:27 HOME.

47:27 >> STOP PLAYING with the boys.

47:29 He goes for a double. Armando scores,

47:32 and the Firefighters just keep pouring

47:35 it on. It's a three-run frame.

47:38 Peanut is halfway to a cycle. COME ON.

47:42 LOOK at it this, by the way. Stops just

47:43 dead in the ground and didn't go home.

47:44 It did.

47:45 >> Lot of top spin on that bad boy.

47:51 Shawty like a melody in my head.

47:54 >> Get through. RIGHT ON THROUGH.

47:56 PREMIUM. CAN HE bring home

47:59 >> too. Peanut. Get there, too.

48:01 >> Racing. He will SLIDE ON IN SAFE. DALTON

48:04 CORNETT IS OH, EXCUSE ME.

48:06 DARIAN McDowell is out at second base.

48:08 But they bring in another run. It's 4-0.

48:10 Darian McDowell racing for second. He

48:12 will be credited with the single and

48:14 gunned down at second.

48:15 >> can move. He can move.

48:17 >> You see that rangy over in right field,

48:19 and hey, hey, HEY, LOOK LOOK WHO'S UP.

48:21 IT'S DIESEL.

48:25 I love me some B Mac, man. First at bat

48:28 this weekend for the Fire and Flames. Do

48:30 we [screaming] have a challenge? OH, A

48:31 FAN HAS POPPED THE CHALLENGE.

48:34 >> THE CHALLENGE?

48:35 That's the first one we've seen this

48:36 weekend, a fan challenge.

48:39 So, Darian McDowell, are you safe?

48:43 The Law and Order music sounding, that

48:44 does mean that we have to go take a

48:45 peek. Ron Franklin, you've been up here

48:47 for a minute, man.

48:47 >> For real, I'm enjoying myself, man.

48:49 >> fun. Bobby La Day sliding on through.

48:52 I can't tell there. What Darian McDowell

48:54 is saying is that the tag missed him.

48:55 Now, he slid all the way to Birmingham.

48:58 He did. Right [laughter] there.

49:01 I don't see the tag laid there, but it's

49:02 not real close. Oh, he didn't even touch

49:04 him.

49:04 >> think he touched him.

49:05 But he didn't go back to the bag in

49:06 time.

49:07 >> get back. [laughter]

49:08 What that count as?

49:11 Right now, it I don't see the tag laid

49:13 there, but and I don't see it laid

49:15 there.

49:20 I mean, I just don't see where the tag

49:22 got laid. Kelly Dine making an emphatic

49:25 call. It's a tough angle, too, where

49:27 she's at.

49:28 So, he touches there, and then slides

49:30 halfway to Louisiana.

49:33 That's the power of Premium, by by way.

49:36 He slid like he was in the water.

49:38 Hey, what's what's the umpire's name?

49:40 Kelly Don. Kelly Don. Miss Kelly Don,

49:42 she got the bedazzled pants. I like it.

49:44 >> Yeah, man. She

49:45 sequenced out of her brains.

49:47 >> Yeah.

49:49 So, the umpire's taking a look. The

49:50 umpire crew led by home plate umpire

49:51 Jake Moore.

49:53 >> [cheering]

49:54 >> Dakota McFadden is dancing at home

49:55 plate. It's one of the rare occasions

49:56 you see it. Oh, we've got a call. Let's

49:59 find out together.

49:59 >> After further review, the call on the

50:01 field is overturned.

50:03 >> Overturned!

50:05 Darian McDowells.

50:06 >> [applause and cheering]

50:07 >> Hustle doubles, baby.

50:08 Hustle doubles. His iPod struck on

50:10 replay, and now he gets to go get stuck

50:12 on second.

50:14 Darian McDowells does get an RBI double.

50:16 How about that?

50:18 Man, the rookies of this team right now,

50:20 Ryan Franklin,

50:21 they've been good, haven't they? That's

50:22 what we needed. We needed that. And from

50:24 the rookie to the OG, T-Mac.

50:28 Big diesel. I love it, diesel. Jared Big

50:30 Diesel swing.

50:31 >> I love it.

50:32 Come on. He'd like to hit a shot here

50:34 for the red, white, and blue. Like he

50:35 told me in New York last year.

50:37 Uh-oh. Get through. I'm telling you

50:38 what, that's going to get through. Yes,

50:40 sir, baby.

50:42 Right now, it's a nightmare of an inning

50:43 for Gage Fourhees, but the Firefighters

50:45 Diesel, [cheering] THE BIG FISH PUMP.

50:48 I'd like HIM TO LAUNCH THE X. I DIDN'T

50:49 SEE IT.

50:51 BUT, that's tremendous. Smoke back on

50:53 the bases, and now Noah Bridges comes on

50:55 up. On a four-nothing inning.

50:57 One out.

50:59 Shout out to D-Mac, man. He didn't play

51:00 the last couple of what was it the last

51:02 couple of games? He did not get the

51:03 start in Little Rock for the first time

51:05 in a Firefighter uniform. Got an at-bat

51:07 on Sunday. Yeah. And today, his first

51:08 swings in Montgomery. By the way, last

51:11 time he was here in 2022,

51:13 ball four sprint to win game two for the

51:15 Bananas.

51:16 Noah Bridges down, ball. Yeah, he will

51:18 right there.

51:20 The boys raking the day. Look at Smoke

51:22 racing.

51:23 >> the day. HE'S GOING TO GO FROM FIRST TO

51:24 THIRD. NOAH BRIDGES WANTS A TRIPLE. HE

51:27 WILL GET IT STANDING UP.

51:29 >> [cheering]

51:31 >> Two-run triple for Noah Bridges, and the

51:34 Firefighters just can't miss.

51:40 Right down the line.

51:43 It is called fair. It's a great angle

51:45 there for our right field umpire, Blake

51:47 Garner.

51:48 Saw it immediately, and Noah Bridges.

51:51 He told me last week, he's starting to

51:53 feel like 2023 Noah Bridges before the

51:55 broken leg. Oh, nine looks good. Ooh,

51:58 hey, I've never seen Noah before the

51:59 broken leg, so I'm trying to I'm trying

52:01 to see that in full effect.

52:02 >> He does more today, I'm going to have to

52:04 have you walk up to him and say,

52:05 "I ain't never, ever seen you hit like

52:07 this before." You've been hooping,

52:09 hooping. Hooping, hooping. How you feel?

52:11 How you feeling?

52:13 Shoutout to John Wall, by the way.

52:15 Shoutout to Lamar Sparks.

52:17 First swing of the game, he knocked one

52:19 in the next year, AND HE'S GOING TO

52:20 KNOCK ANOTHER ONE into left field. Lamar

52:23 Sparks.

52:24 >> Come on, man.

52:26 Three RBI for Lamar. The Sparknotes

52:29 again. He is heating up.

52:35 Seven runs in the frame. That's the most

52:37 the Firefighters have scored in one

52:39 inning by a mile this year.

52:41 >> a new arm.

52:43 And Gage Fourhees is out. Dayon Reynoso

52:45 coming on in.

52:49 He's got a couple of connections to

52:50 Banana Ball. I told you his twin

52:52 brother, Levon, was a former Banana

52:53 Baller in the CPL days.

52:56 Twins?

52:57 Yes. Twin bros.

52:59 So, Gage Fourhees exits with one out.

53:01 So, Dayon trying to get two thirds of an

53:02 inning here. And already, the third trip

53:05 through the order starting here for the

53:06 Firefighters. Tiny coming on up.

53:11 What's it like? So, last year, Ben Dunn

53:13 and Tyler Riggert, Big Rigg, find out

53:15 they're cousins on the team. What's it

53:16 like to see another family member find

53:18 his family member? Jared Donaldson and

53:20 Tyner Hughes, basically twins. They

53:22 Hold on. Hold that thought for a second.

53:24 Please don't catch it. Ooh, look at

53:27 almost caught that one.

53:27 >> Height. Height. Yeah, Jared Donaldson

53:29 and Tyner Hughes are basically twins.

53:31 Low-key. Low-key, they always lifting

53:33 together. Every time you see Donnie, you

53:34 see Tyner. Like, they both like to hunt.

53:37 I don't know if Tyner likes to run like

53:38 JD. And that one plunked him.

53:41 Does South Trimble get turned into a

53:42 gun? No, not today.

53:43 >> [laughter]

53:44 >> That was sweet, by the way, yesterday.

53:49 Hold up. Wait a minute. I thought for

53:50 sure they might do that with you,

53:52 because obviously, you can still use

53:53 your legs a little bit. Yeah, I don't

53:54 know if I can jump, though. Uh, that's

53:55 true.

53:56 Hey, you know what, though? If Big

53:57 Diesel picks you up, you ain't just You

53:59 don't have to jump.

54:00 >> [laughter]

54:00 >> You ain't got to jump.

54:01 >> Big diesel.

54:02 DC3.

54:04 Dalton Cornett. Keep this inning going.

54:06 He can really keep it going.

54:08 By the way, the inning started

54:13 I don't even know how the inning

54:14 started.

54:15 It's been so long.

54:16 Happened [laughter] so long ago.

54:19 The inning started with a Dalton Cornett

54:20 single. For a moment, I thought it

54:21 started with EJ. DC3 was the first

54:23 batter of the inning. Got all the way

54:25 around with just one out.

54:28 EJ just takes a healthy swing at that

54:30 one, and then it died at the end.

54:33 One-two, two-one count to Baker. Dalton

54:35 Cornett really wanted that one.

54:37 We'll get three. Already, though, the

54:38 ball flying out of this ballpark, and

54:40 that one's going to fly in the right

54:42 center field, right in front of JBJ.

54:44 Tiny really wanted to go for three, but

54:46 Lamar couldn't go, and for good reason.

54:48 We'll take it.

54:49 >> That's a former All-Star out there, by

54:50 the way, in JBJ. Yep. Guess who we got

54:52 up. Who we got up? Dub. Lamar. The way

54:55 he making the plays, they might take him

54:56 legit. Oh, yeah. Showtime. The

54:59 Electrician.

55:01 Still looking for that first homer of

55:02 the year, but already hit a double

55:03 today. You know he's feeling good, and

55:05 he takes a good swing at that one. I

55:07 love it, man. You got to open the door

55:09 for him on his return home to FSU. We

55:11 had some tears flowing there.

55:12 >> Man, I tell you, I about cried just

55:13 opening and pulling in the handle. I

55:15 about teared up, me and Webb, man. Gave

55:17 me chills.

55:18 >> I think Logan was tearing up that night,

55:20 too, and for good reason, man. Going

55:21 back to Tallahassee, born and raised

55:22 there. That's fire.

55:24 Home town hero.

55:26 Chops that one over to third, and that

55:28 will be foul.

55:29 Eli Payton gave a great chase.

55:35 Might be hearing from old Eli here in

55:36 the next inning or so.

55:38 He got two bombs. He does have two

55:39 bombs.

55:39 >> I think they're still going. Might be

55:41 hearing from him. Again, I really want

55:42 to ask him about his uncle just making

55:44 trades, and they do strike him out.

55:47 He wanted the appeal. Jake Moore says,

55:49 "You won't get it, cuz I'm calling you

55:50 out here."

55:52 So, Logan Lacey, just the second out of

55:54 the inning.

55:56 This inning is going long.

55:59 Long. We'll find out at the end of this.

56:01 Right now, Dayon Reynoso

56:03 working on his third minute.

56:05 Gage Fourhees probably went better than

56:07 six.

56:09 8 minutes and 33 seconds is what Gage

56:11 Fourhees. So, now the inning's on its

56:13 11th minute, and rapidly going towards

56:16 its 12th.

56:18 EJ.

56:20 Good eye on that one. That's a tough

56:21 pitch to take.

56:22 Bases juiced, by the way. It's crazy

56:25 that the Firefighters would be

56:26 disappointed if they don't bring more

56:27 runs home here, but the bases are loaded

56:29 for a guy who can absolutely clobber

56:32 a Banana Ball with runners on. But,

56:34 right now, he'd be happy with a ball

56:35 four sprint.

56:36 Who knows? DC3's got some speed for a

56:38 catcher.

56:39 That Pippa passes speed.

56:42 Yeah, man. That's fire. G-Ray's got some

56:44 colorful cleats on today, too.

56:45 It is a ball four sprint.

56:47 I know. His

56:49 His brain gets a little big for his

56:50 britches sometimes on something like

56:52 that. Lamar Sparks in. Tiny.

56:54 Tiny slide in. EJ on first. DC3 on

56:58 third. The boys are hot.

56:59 >> The inning is still not over, man.

57:01 >> are hot.

57:02 We are already down to a minute and 18

57:04 seconds in the Excuse me, what did I

57:06 just say? 1 hour and 18 seconds. This is

57:08 the 12th batter of the inning.

57:11 Have you ever seen this before in Banana

57:12 Ball? I I haven't seen it with the

57:14 Firefighters.

57:15 I don't think it's going to END HERE.

57:18 ARMANDO BECERRA.

57:20 Ryan Dansereau. Goodness gracious.

57:24 That was a magical way to end the frame.

57:26 Ryan Franklin, thank you so much for

57:29 coming on up here. Take that biscuit

57:30 home with you.

57:32 >> Ryan Dansereau ends a nine-inning frame

57:34 for the Firefighters.

57:36 That was an incredible one for the

57:37 Flames, and now an incredible moment

57:39 with Casey Barker and Bananas Foster.

57:46 Across the United States, there are over

57:48 400,000 children and teens in foster

57:51 care without a permanent home. To raise

57:53 awareness and support this community, we

57:55 created Bananas Foster, the official

57:57 nonprofit of Banana Ball. Our

57:59 organization is dedicated to celebrating

58:01 those in the foster care community,

58:03 while educating and inspiring others to

58:05 get involved.

58:06 Today, we are celebrating Nancy Lloyd.

58:09 12 years ago, Nancy decided to become a

58:12 single foster mom alongside her

58:14 biological son.

58:16 On top of being a single foster mom,

58:18 Nancy also runs a nonprofit thrift store

58:21 to help support children that are in

58:23 foster care. Over the last 12 years,

58:26 Nancy has welcomed 108 children and

58:29 teens into her home. Fans, please help

58:32 US CELEBRATE THIS INCREDIBLE family for

58:33 making a difference right here in your

58:35 community.

58:36 >> [cheering]

58:37 [applause]

58:45 [cheering]

58:51 [applause]

58:52 >> Great these great families

58:54 who bring so many great kids into their

58:56 homes and give them a second chance in

58:58 life.

58:59 Like Nancy Lloyd

59:01 and the Lloyd family. If you want to

59:02 help with Bananas Foster and these great

59:05 families, just text bunch to 50155,

59:08 and you can donate,

59:10 or help find some way to get back to the

59:12 foster care community. A salute to the

59:13 Lloyd family. A salute to Bananas

59:15 Foster.

59:16 >> [cheering]

59:17 >> What an incredible ending that was. What

59:19 an incredible moment that was with the

59:21 Firefighters. Nine runs in an inning.

59:24 We'll have to go back through the annals

59:25 of time and history.

59:27 I don't know if the Firefighters have

59:28 ever put up nine runs in one inning.

59:31 We will double check, triple check that

59:33 with the man who's statistically yours,

59:35 Josh Tolefsky. Blake O'Hare and Riley

59:37 Turner are stat keepers all across the

59:39 country here this weekend.

59:41 >> [music]

59:41 >> But boy, I know they didn't do it last

59:43 year.

59:44 That is one of the most impressive

59:46 offensive outings I've ever seen. Now

59:47 the question is is Austin Temple still

59:49 locked in?

59:50 And by the way,

59:52 this is Banana Ball through and through.

59:53 They just put up nine runs in the frame.

59:55 They can only win one point. So the

59:56 Clowns not out of it, but boy they got

59:59 to get their offense locked back in,

1:00:00 too.

1:00:05 Tyner Hughes

1:00:08 Peanut

1:00:09 By the way, Caden Green

1:00:12 is up to four RBI on the game. The

1:00:14 record is six.

1:00:16 Just got told that by our statistician

1:00:19 Blake O'Hare.

1:00:20 So Peanut might be having a

1:00:21 record-breaking day and we're not even

1:00:24 three full innings through this bad boy.

1:00:27 By the way, thank you so much to Ron

1:00:29 Franklin.

1:00:30 That guy's a legend. If you didn't know

1:00:32 it already, that guy's an absolute star.

1:00:35 Hate that we don't get to see him play

1:00:37 in Banana Ball this year because of the

1:00:38 torn ACL, but you know he's going to be

1:00:40 absolutely incredible no matter what he

1:00:42 does. Joe Gray

1:00:43 into the netting, almost back into the

1:00:45 fire launcher. EJ wanted to catch it off

1:00:46 the ricochet. Jake Moore instead will

1:00:48 hand him a new ball.

1:00:50 Hey, BK running out there.

1:00:52 By the way, BK so far, he's been with

1:00:54 the Firefighters for just like three

1:00:55 weekends. He's been a dog twice.

1:00:58 And he's been a bench press bench once.

1:01:02 He's just entertained out of his brains.

1:01:04 Love that. Temple, Gray, that's going to

1:01:07 go into the streets.

1:01:12 By the way, they're calling Cowboy Joe.

1:01:13 This dude's a literal cowboy. Rodeos,

1:01:16 bucking broncos.

1:01:17 The dude absolutely shoves

1:01:20 when he gets in between the barrels with

1:01:21 the rodeo clowns. Matt Wolfe not here

1:01:22 this weekend. Wish he was cuz man, that

1:01:24 would be awesome.

1:01:25 >> [music]

1:01:26 >> Gray, Lacy between the legs, over to

1:01:28 Dakota McFadden and he digs it on out.

1:01:31 How about that? D-Mac manning first base

1:01:33 for the first time this season in place

1:01:36 of Mason Maxwell. And boy, that looked

1:01:38 good right there.

1:01:40 >> [cheering]

1:01:42 >> And a welcome back again

1:01:48 for Nico Hulshizer, the former

1:01:49 Montgomery Biscuit coming back. Last

1:01:52 night he was absolutely tremendous

1:01:57 >> [cheering]

1:01:57 >> for the Indianapolis Clowns.

1:02:00 He displayed some power like you

1:02:01 wouldn't believe during batting

1:02:02 practice. And so you wonder how locked

1:02:05 in he is. There's the power there.

1:02:07 Noah backing up AND IT'S A OH, ALMOST A

1:02:11 DIVING TIP DRILL. INSTEAD it's a

1:02:13 mis-trick play. Nico will go on into

1:02:15 second.

1:02:16 Noah might have had a little trouble

1:02:17 with the sun there, but it comes off the

1:02:19 glove just a little funky. Couldn't

1:02:21 quite stab it.

1:02:23 So Nico Hulshizer on to second

1:02:26 with a mis-trick play.

1:02:29 But to say that the Clowns have a long

1:02:30 way to go to try and tie this inning up

1:02:32 would be a massive understatement.

1:02:35 By the way,

1:02:36 Clowns had 14 runs last night

1:02:38 through two and a half innings. The

1:02:40 Firefighters had 14 runs.

1:02:43 Chris Burgess

1:02:44 likely just played it two

1:02:47 for the Indianapolis Clowns and he does

1:02:50 just that.

1:02:52 Big time bomb

1:02:54 for [music] Chris Burgess.

1:02:57 First homer in Banana Ball.

1:03:00 That one had [music] to feel good.

1:03:04 The man is hitting out of his mind right

1:03:06 now for the Indianapolis Clowns.

1:03:09 And now he gets his first big fly of the

1:03:11 season.

1:03:13 It's a 9-2 inning. Austin Temple has

1:03:15 more than enough room to play with right

1:03:17 now.

1:03:19 But Burgess, the man who had a family

1:03:21 affairs walk-up last night, just

1:03:22 continues to do damage every time

1:03:26 he puts a bat in his hands. That's his

1:03:28 seventh hit on the year. That was just

1:03:30 his 14th plate appearance.

1:03:34 Absolutely spectacular. Eli Peyton

1:03:36 almost stole first. That thing went all

1:03:37 the way through the fire launcher again.

1:03:40 But decides not [cheering] to.

1:03:43 Peyton 278 on the year, a couple of big

1:03:45 flies himself.

1:03:47 And this is the trouble with having that

1:03:49 long of an inning

1:03:50 is boy Howdy,

1:03:52 Austin Temple

1:03:54 looked good in the second inning.

1:03:56 But it could take a while to get

1:03:58 yourself re-locked in after being on the

1:03:59 bench for that long as that one goes

1:04:01 right over our heads in the press box

1:04:02 and it is foul. 1-1 count.

1:04:09 Banana Ball rookie with a healthy swing

1:04:11 trying to send that one out to the berm

1:04:13 in right field. Already by the way, four

1:04:15 home runs in this game and we're not

1:04:17 even

1:04:19 through three. Temple trying to get the

1:04:21 curve going. Didn't work. 2-2 count.

1:04:29 Try it here, not there.

1:04:31 3-2 count.

1:04:33 Again, a lot of room to play with for

1:04:34 the Firefighters, but we saw last night

1:04:36 they were down four in the seventh

1:04:38 inning and came all the way back to win

1:04:39 it 5-4, but that will ring Peyton up.

1:04:45 Watch that firepower, Temp.

1:04:51 The literal entire field for the

1:04:54 Firefighters just hit the night at the

1:04:55 museum.

1:04:57 Synchronicity.

1:04:59 I think that's a word. Chad, you'll have

1:05:00 to tell me if synchronicity is a word.

1:05:03 Blake O'Hare smarter than me. He'll tell

1:05:04 me if it's a word or not.

1:05:07 Dansereau big swing and a miss. That guy

1:05:09 incredible in left field. That catch

1:05:12 could have easily snuck by him if he

1:05:13 times it just 1 second too early or too

1:05:15 late.

1:05:16 But he [music] does really, really well.

1:05:18 LACY, THE FRONT FLIP OVER TO D-MAC AND

1:05:21 IT GETS UNDER HIS GLOVE. THAT would have

1:05:23 been an absolute

1:05:26 massive trick play.

1:05:28 >> [music]

1:05:30 >> I would have jumped out of the window.

1:05:33 I really want Logan to try it again.

1:05:36 I'm going to need to tell Peanut at some

1:05:37 point here, who we also might hear from

1:05:39 a little bit later,

1:05:40 that we need to hear that again.

1:05:42 We need to see that again cuz that was

1:05:43 sick.

1:05:45 And now out to right field, Daren

1:05:46 McDowell going to give it a chase. It'll

1:05:47 land in the gap off the bat of Jaylen

1:05:49 Vasquez who continues to hit for power.

1:05:53 Runners will stop at second and third.

1:05:54 So two on in scoring position with two

1:05:56 away.

1:05:57 I'm about to.

1:05:59 And Brian Dansereau looks like he's a

1:06:00 little bit hobbled.

1:06:05 Kind of limped his way over to third and

1:06:06 now flash comes on to third. You wonder

1:06:08 if he was just kind of messing around.

1:06:10 Seems to be all right right now.

1:06:12 We'll see a trainer going to him.

1:06:14 But Dansereau, you can imagine his legs

1:06:16 have been putting been putting in the

1:06:18 good work here.

1:06:19 Two outs. Austin Temple just needs one

1:06:21 more to get out of the inning.

1:06:22 By out of the inning, he's got seven

1:06:24 runs to play with here. JBJ

1:06:27 Flash will come on in. Nope, they say

1:06:29 no. That was a foul ball.

1:06:32 So we'll stop there.

1:06:39 1-1 count.

1:06:45 Right back up to us. OH MY GOODNESS, IT

1:06:47 WAS RIGHT to me and then went it over

1:06:49 me. Nick Keldy had a chance at it.

1:06:51 Emerson Blake, we all had a shot at it

1:06:53 and we weren't ready. And there's also a

1:06:54 roof over us, so it would have been

1:06:55 tough to make the play.

1:06:58 JBJ, did he do it again? DID HE DO IT

1:07:00 AGAIN? NO, he didn't. Foul.

1:07:07 Jackie Bradley [music] Jr. has already

1:07:09 hit his first Banana Ball home run

1:07:11 today. He was lurking for number two.

1:07:14 Would have been a three-run blast

1:07:15 instead of a two-run. Instead,

1:07:18 he'll have to go back and try it again.

1:07:19 AND HE SWINGS AND HE MISSES. Strike

1:07:21 three. Austin Temple just gives up two.

1:07:24 Strands two on.

1:07:26 But that's all the damage. Firefighters

1:07:28 win the inning. They win the point. It's

1:07:30 a 2-1 game after nine runs in the top of

1:07:33 the frame.

1:07:34 That was sick.

1:07:36 Here's Brandon with some shirtless

1:07:38 dudes.

1:07:40 Hop on the backs OF THEIR TEAMMATES AND

1:07:42 PIGGYBACK RIDE TO SECOND. THEY'RE GOING

1:07:43 TO SWITCH, PIGGYBACK TO THIRD, SWITCH

1:07:45 FOR THE LAST TIME, AND PIGGYBACK ON

1:07:47 HOME. ARE YOU READY?

1:07:50 ON YOUR MARKS.

1:07:52 GET SET.

1:07:53 PIGGYBACK RIDE.

1:07:56 ALL RIGHT, HE'S RUNNING. HE'S RUNNING.

1:07:58 HOP ON THAT BACK. COME ON. COME ON. GO.

1:08:01 GO. GO. GO.

1:08:03 All right, he's sucking. He's sucking.

1:08:04 HE'S SUCKING.

1:08:05 ON TO SECOND. TIME to switch. Hop on

1:08:08 that back. Come on. Come on. Come on.

1:08:11 ALL RIGHT. COME ON. SPEED UP, GUYS. YOU

1:08:13 GOT TO SWITCH. COME ON.

1:08:16 ALL RIGHT. SWITCH FOR THE LAST TIME.

1:08:18 COME ON.

1:08:19 COME ON HOME.

1:08:26 OH, he's

1:08:27 Oh, man.

1:08:29 And he MAKES IT HOME.

1:08:31 CONGRATS, GUYS.

1:08:34 COME ON BACK. COME ON BACK.

1:08:36 AND THAT IS I want your back.

1:08:42 Well, that was certainly something.

1:08:44 Four grown men, shirtless,

1:08:46 one riding each other's back after

1:08:48 another. I don't know how it could get

1:08:49 more Banana Ball. And I don't know how

1:08:51 it could get more Banana Ball than the

1:08:52 guy at third base right now. His name is

1:08:54 [music] Eli Peyton and he's in his

1:08:56 seventh game here in this beautiful

1:08:58 sport at a Grand Canyon University and

1:09:00 he joins us on the mic. What's going on,

1:09:03 Eli?

1:09:03 >> What up? How we doing up there?

1:09:04 >> How you feel? First of all, what did you

1:09:06 just see on the base pads there cuz that

1:09:08 was I don't know how I describe it up

1:09:10 here, but you were right there 4 ft from

1:09:11 it. You got to just call it Banana Ball.

1:09:13 I mean, that's happening nowhere else in

1:09:15 the world, right? How awesome was that?

1:09:17 Yeah, four shirtless dudes just riding

1:09:19 backs. Gosh, I wanted to hop on the

1:09:20 guy's back, too. There you go.

1:09:23 We might see if we can sign you up for

1:09:24 that promo next time out.

1:09:26 Eli, so far

1:09:28 as Dayon Reynoso throws to Kaden Green.

1:09:31 By the way, Peanut is at four RBI. The

1:09:33 record in Banana Ball is six in a game.

1:09:36 So, he's right close to where he played

1:09:38 college ball. Let's hope he doesn't get

1:09:39 that. Well, we might see you get a trick

1:09:41 play the way he's going there. Man, that

1:09:42 was That was sick. Look at that.

1:09:44 >> Eli, how do you describe what happened

1:09:46 last night for you guys in the final

1:09:47 three innings?

1:09:48 >> That's That's what That's just what we

1:09:50 needed. I mean

1:09:52 we had a little skid as everyone knows,

1:09:53 but we needed to get back on the horse

1:09:56 and having that Jaylen Vasquez home run

1:09:58 with two outs in the ninth, I mean,

1:10:00 couldn't ask for a better swing and a

1:10:02 better situation. So, that was awesome.

1:10:04 And especially given the fact that you

1:10:05 guys have been in two heartbreaking

1:10:07 games [music] with the Party Animals in

1:10:08 Memphis, the walk-off to Jake Scholl,

1:10:10 and then a one-run game against the

1:10:12 one-point game against the Texas

1:10:13 Tailgaters. You guys have been so tight

1:10:15 in so many situations. Probably felt

1:10:17 good to get one there. Yeah.

1:10:19 Let me talk after this. All right, got

1:10:21 you. Ball four, sprint defense. Peanut

1:10:23 on first.

1:10:25 Have you ever participated in anything

1:10:27 like a ball four sprint defense? Dude,

1:10:29 no. At the tryout

1:10:30 in October, we ran it and I was like,

1:10:33 what is this? I felt like we were like

1:10:35 doing the three-man weave in basketball,

1:10:37 you know? Yeah.

1:10:37 >> [music]

1:10:38 >> It's awesome. I love it. I mean, makes

1:10:40 the game entertaining. Walks are boring,

1:10:41 hit by pitches are boring.

1:10:43 But that

1:10:44 that gets the crowd engaged. So.

1:10:47 It gets everybody engaged, man. It gets

1:10:49 everybody fired up. Gets the people

1:10:50 going. Now, Eli

1:10:52 the the first year in Banana Ball,

1:10:54 you've been through just about

1:10:55 everything, right? You've been in the

1:10:56 Banana Land this season, stuck in the

1:10:57 fog.

1:10:58 You've been to that fish you.

1:11:00 You've now played

1:11:01 three different teams [music] so far in

1:11:02 the sport. What's been the biggest

1:11:04 growth point for you in your first year?

1:11:06 Yeah, I think the tempo. I think

1:11:07 everyone's going to say tempo.

1:11:10 Tempo's.

1:11:12 But I think also the routine of, you

1:11:13 know,

1:11:14 having dances and having to go hit.

1:11:16 Like, there's so many different things

1:11:18 you do per at bat. You don't have the

1:11:20 same routine every at bat. So, that's

1:11:22 what I've been figuring out.

1:11:25 Dayon swings and knocks it into the

1:11:26 glove on a foul tip, but strike three.

1:11:28 Attaboy.

1:11:29 Big one for Dayon Reynoso

1:11:31 as Big Diesel comes back on in. Dakota

1:11:34 McFadden.

1:11:35 All right, Eli, a couple questions for

1:11:36 you from your past and from your family

1:11:39 history. Number one, at GCU, you got hit

1:11:41 by 25 pitches. Did you think about like

1:11:44 dressing up as the Michelin Man when you

1:11:45 came here and like trying to lean into

1:11:47 everything that got thrown at you? That

1:11:48 would be great. I mean, I didn't mean to

1:11:51 get hit by pitches, but I won't lie to

1:11:52 you, I've definitely leaned into a

1:11:54 couple pitches. Like, do you just start

1:11:55 like getting used to getting hit at that

1:11:57 point?

1:11:58 >> I got hit last night and it didn't even

1:11:59 hurt. Like,

1:12:01 I just I'm so used to it. Is that

1:12:02 worrying?

1:12:04 You know what? It might worry me a

1:12:06 little bit. I might need to look into

1:12:07 that.

1:12:08 Eli Payton there. And by the way, you

1:12:10 play the hot corner, so you're probably

1:12:11 taking a couple of shots to the shin

1:12:13 while you're at third base, too, not

1:12:14 just at the plate.

1:12:14 >> I've had a couple shin burners before,

1:12:16 you know, a couple off the chest, one

1:12:18 off the nose. That felt good. Another

1:12:20 ball four sprint. Let me give you a

1:12:21 break.

1:12:24 Peanut all the way over to third. And

1:12:26 again, if you're new to Banana Ball, all

1:12:27 seven fielders behind the pitcher now

1:12:29 have to touch the ball before they can

1:12:30 get a runner out. All right, I've

1:12:32 mentioned it a couple different times.

1:12:33 Your uncle is the general manager of the

1:12:35 Denver Broncos. IS THAT NOT INSANE? HOW

1:12:38 SICK IS THAT? I MEAN,

1:12:40 he

1:12:41 he got the job about four years ago and

1:12:43 he's been killing it ever since. Drafted

1:12:44 Bo Nix.

1:12:46 Huge acquisition with Jaylen Waddle.

1:12:48 That was sick.

1:12:49 >> Runner.

1:12:50 Get him. Yeah. Runner does go. South

1:12:52 Trimble slid through the bag and he is

1:12:54 out. That's the second time we've seen a

1:12:56 runner

1:12:58 slide through.

1:13:00 Woah, woah. She rang him up.

1:13:03 South Trimble was rung up and now a

1:13:06 challenge. Oh, nice. We get to talk

1:13:07 longer. Yes. I love this. You got a

1:13:09 little story here. I love this for us.

1:13:11 All right, go for it, Eli.

1:13:12 >> in our family group chat last night, all

1:13:14 the jerseys for Banana Ball like came in

1:13:16 this week, right?

1:13:18 And my aunt decided to order eight

1:13:20 jerseys.

1:13:21 And Okay. I was like, wow, that's a lot

1:13:23 of jerseys for, you know, a family of

1:13:24 four. And then they're like, yeah, your

1:13:26 uncle doesn't get one. I was like, why

1:13:28 does my uncle get one? And he's like,

1:13:29 she doesn't He doesn't like to wear

1:13:30 jerseys. And then he texts back in the

1:13:32 group chat, he's like, what do you mean?

1:13:33 I love wearing jerseys. So, he's without

1:13:35 an Eli Payton jersey right now.

1:13:37 When we go to Denver, I might need to

1:13:38 get him one. To be fair, like he can get

1:13:41 basically any Denver Bronco jersey he

1:13:43 wants. Exactly. Peanut has something to

1:13:44 say. I just wanted to say hi to my mom

1:13:46 real quick. I love you, Mom. I'll I'll

1:13:48 shout out my mom as well. And my

1:13:49 beautiful girlfriend, I love you,

1:13:50 Christina.

1:13:52 We might hear from Peanut on the mic a

1:13:54 little bit later. That guy's already

1:13:55 trying to hog time from you, man.

1:13:57 >> [laughter]

1:13:57 >> You're Don't let him rook you like that,

1:13:59 all right?

1:14:00 >> the guy has four RBIs, I got to give him

1:14:01 the mic, you know?

1:14:02 >> That's true. That's true.

1:14:03 He's He's been incredible today. But

1:14:05 yeah, like your uncle could have get any

1:14:07 jersey he wants to in the Denver sports

1:14:08 area, I would poss I would probably

1:14:10 assume, right?

1:14:10 >> Oh, yeah. Nuggets, Avalanche, Rockies,

1:14:12 whatever he wants. Anything, but he

1:14:14 can't get one of mine. I mean, it's

1:14:15 brutal. Our scorekeeper, by the way,

1:14:17 Blake O'Hare is a huge Denver Broncos

1:14:19 fan. Hold on. Field is over to And he's

1:14:22 safe.

1:14:23 So, our scorekeeper, Blake O'Hare, is a

1:14:25 huge Denver Broncos fan. Do you want me

1:14:27 to ask him if he liked the Jaylen Waddle

1:14:28 trade? Yeah, ask Blake. I I want to hear

1:14:31 about it.

1:14:31 >> Thumbs up or down, Blake? Thumbs way up.

1:14:33 Yeah. Thumbs way up. Yeah, Blake.

1:14:35 George, you're doing good.

1:14:39 I love it. I love it.

1:14:40 >> I have to imagine, too, though, seeing

1:14:42 what he goes through on a daily basis

1:14:43 cuz he's been How long has he been a

1:14:45 general manager now? He's been a general

1:14:46 manager for four years now and then

1:14:48 assistant for about 10 before that with

1:14:51 Minnesota. So, he's been in the front

1:14:52 off By the way, I'm a Packers fan.

1:14:55 So, yuck. Yuck. Um, I love Minnesota, by

1:14:58 the way. Love the state, not the

1:15:00 Vikings.

1:15:01 Noah [music] Bridges. That would save a

1:15:03 kitten from a tree, likely not landing

1:15:05 for a hit. Eli Payton right in the

1:15:07 glove.

1:15:08 Was really hoping for a trick play

1:15:10 there, man.

1:15:11 >> I know. Big situation. It is a big

1:15:13 situation and you might be looking into

1:15:15 the sun, so like I'll give you that one.

1:15:17 >> It was tough.

1:15:17 >> But like seeing what your uncle goes

1:15:19 through, he's in the spotlight. Did that

1:15:20 kind of teach you what you're going into

1:15:22 in Banana Ball? Oh, yeah. His work ethic

1:15:24 and what he's gone through from being

1:15:26 the lowest level scout to, you know, the

1:15:29 best in his class of GMs

1:15:32 has inspired me a lot.

1:15:34 And Bobby Day.

1:15:36 Over to first. CORRELL. OH, HE'S OFF THE

1:15:38 BAG.

1:15:39 >> FOUR, FOUR, FOUR, FOUR, FOUR, FOUR,

1:15:39 FOUR, FOUR, FOUR. OFF the bag and Smoke

1:15:42 flies home and he's safe and two runs

1:15:44 come across. Shoot.

1:15:46 I know I said earlier I wanted to talk

1:15:48 to you for a long time. I apologize if

1:15:49 I've jinxed you here. No, it's okay.

1:15:51 I've been I've been enjoying this. This

1:15:52 is great. This is a lot of fun.

1:15:54 >> We were We were on the cruise.

1:15:56 Oh, we have another challenge.

1:15:58 LET'S GO.

1:15:59 >> WE HAVE BLOWN THROUGH ALL THE CHALLENGES

1:16:00 HERE IN THE FIRST FOUR INNINGS. THEY

1:16:02 REALLY wanted you and me to talk. For

1:16:04 those of you who were on the cruise, we

1:16:06 had a Day One panel

1:16:08 and Eli was on there along with Nick

1:16:10 Wilson and Bobby Day. Nick Wilson, by

1:16:12 the way, if you haven't heard him,

1:16:13 unbelievable talker.

1:16:15 Unbelievable speaker. Can just talk

1:16:16 about the Indianapolis Clowns and the

1:16:18 history all day long. He's currently at

1:16:19 the plate with Fisher Polidor.

1:16:21 It does look like that foot's a little

1:16:22 bit off.

1:16:23 Can't see on the angle there.

1:16:25 Uh, Eli, what is it like to be teammates

1:16:27 with Jackie Bradley Jr.?

1:16:28 You know, I was so starstruck at first

1:16:31 and I was like, this guy is just going

1:16:33 to be like him. [music]

1:16:34 And then we get here and he just comes

1:16:36 up to me and goes, what's up, EP? I was

1:16:38 like, oh my gosh, I got a nickname from

1:16:39 Jackie Bradley Jr. You hadn't met him

1:16:40 before that?

1:16:41 >> Never. I was like and I was like, this

1:16:43 guy's the coolest guy ever, man. He is

1:16:45 so cool, so humble, down to earth, a

1:16:48 true locker room guy and a pleasure to

1:16:50 be a teammate with. So. It just like

1:16:52 from my perspective, everything looks so

1:16:53 different

1:16:55 off his bat and when he's in the field.

1:16:57 Yeah, I mean, you saw him crush that

1:16:58 home run earlier. He's got a beautiful

1:17:00 smooth swing. He knows rides everything

1:17:03 out, will take his singles and then as

1:17:06 he did earlier just gets into a baseball

1:17:07 and crushes it 50 ft over the fence.

1:17:09 He's just He's incredible. And by the

1:17:11 way, like you talked about it, he's just

1:17:13 so down to earth. I remember telling him

1:17:14 I'm from Salem, Virginia, [music] of

1:17:15 course, with the Red Sox, played with

1:17:17 the Salem Red Sox. We talked for 20

1:17:19 minutes about being from Salem. Yeah.

1:17:20 Nobody knows where Salem is.

1:17:22 No one. He's unbelievable. He's just

1:17:24 incredible, man. Yeah, he's the coolest

1:17:26 teammate I honestly could ever ask for.

1:17:28 Eli, I feel like you and I are bonding

1:17:29 right now. I really think we are, like

1:17:31 Like this is a this is a connection. I'm

1:17:33 glad we're having this conversation. I

1:17:34 know you probably do not want to talk to

1:17:36 me anymore until [laughter] you can get

1:17:37 out OF THIS INNING.

1:17:39 TWO RUNS ON HERE for the Firefighters in

1:17:41 the inning. A runner on first, two outs.

1:17:44 Tiny back up. This is Tiny's fourth

1:17:47 plate appearance, by the way.

1:17:49 One into the dirt.

1:17:51 Come on, Dayon. Come, baby. Eli, this is

1:17:53 the beautiful part though about the

1:17:54 sport. Yeah, you guys gave up nine in

1:17:55 the last inning. You're still only down

1:17:57 two one in the game. Yeah, it's two one.

1:17:59 Any other game would be a blowout.

1:18:00 Banana Ball, we're neck and neck and

1:18:02 we're

1:18:03 we're still right in it. So.

1:18:05 >> [music]

1:18:06 >> Eli, what city Obviously, Montgomery's

1:18:07 been awesome and you guys have been to

1:18:09 so many great places already. What city

1:18:11 are you looking forward to the most

1:18:12 going to play at? Man, so [music] this

1:18:14 is I'm going to go, you know, out of the

1:18:15 box here. Okay, I love out of the box.

1:18:17 >> As one clown would.

1:18:20 Hold on. Yep, yep.

1:18:31 Runners will stop at first and third.

1:18:34 So,

1:18:35 you know, I could say Anaheim next week

1:18:37 cuz that's where I'm from. I could say

1:18:38 Denver cuz, you know, I got family

1:18:41 there. I'll probably get a little cool

1:18:42 thing for my mom.

1:18:43 >> Wait, you got family in Denver?

1:18:45 >> [laughter]

1:18:46 >> Yeah, just a couple, you know.

1:18:47 Um, but I'm going to say South Dakota

1:18:50 South Dakota [music] and North Dakota.

1:18:51 There's no expectations for those place.

1:18:54 Yep. And I think those fans are just

1:18:55 going to be bumping cuz,

1:18:57 >> [music]

1:18:57 >> you know, they've never seen Banana Ball

1:18:58 before, right?

1:18:59 >> I worked in Fargo for four years. Those

1:19:01 people love their sports. So, you can

1:19:03 imagine at Newman Outdoor Field, they're

1:19:05 going to absolutely adore Banana Ball.

1:19:07 I've never been to South Dakota. I'm

1:19:08 looking forward to that, too. It'll be

1:19:10 Clowns and Firefighters. Good way to

1:19:11 sell that, by the way, Eli Payton. Yeah,

1:19:13 thank you. Thank you.

1:19:14 >> this. Making it current.

1:19:16 Noah Cornett wanted to swing that one

1:19:17 for the fences and he just swung that

1:19:19 one off his kneecap. Ouch.

1:19:22 That's the kind of pitch you don't want

1:19:24 to get hit by. That hurts.

1:19:26 He's not feeling good right now. No,

1:19:28 when you see DC3 walk halfway up the

1:19:29 line,

1:19:31 he ain't feeling [music] thrilled.

1:19:33 He's got that type of past as tough as

1:19:34 though. He's going to step right back

1:19:36 in. There we go. He's back.

1:19:37 At two strikes, let's see if we can

1:19:39 finish him off right here. By the way, a

1:19:40 name like Eli Peyton, you have to know

1:19:42 you come from the football family. I

1:19:43 mean, literally my whole family played

1:19:45 football.

1:19:47 I'm I'm the I'm the outlier, but

1:19:49 both grandparents, both grandpas, um

1:19:52 three uncles, my dad was a punter slash

1:19:56 uh DB at Utah. So, huge football family.

1:20:01 Just such an athletic family is the

1:20:02 Peyton's. There's DC3

1:20:05 in the left field. Yeah. KB brings it in

1:20:08 and the inning comes to a close. Eli,

1:20:09 I've loved talking to you. I know you

1:20:11 didn't want TO DO THIS THAT LONG.

1:20:12 >> It was a pleasure.

1:20:13 >> Appreciate you, man. Till the next time.

1:20:15 Yes, sir. That's Eli Peyton

1:20:17 on the mic. Absolutely tremendous. I

1:20:20 know that was probably not his favorite

1:20:21 thing in the world to do. The

1:20:22 Firefighters played two. That was a

1:20:24 7-minute 12-second inning, but Eli

1:20:27 Peyton, you got some good stuff there

1:20:29 from a banana ball rookie. And from good

1:20:31 stuff there TO GOOD STUFF HERE.

1:20:34 Let's all Hey Baby together.

1:20:43 >> [music]

1:20:45 [singing]

1:20:50 [music]

1:20:56 [music]

1:21:05 [music]

1:21:14 [music]

1:21:20 [music]

1:21:30 [music]

1:21:35 [music]

1:21:43 [music]

1:21:51 [music]

1:21:57 [music]

1:22:06 >> At long last,

1:22:08 I think the biscuit [music] is finally

1:22:09 finished.

1:22:10 It's a good biscuit. I'm not going to

1:22:11 lie.

1:22:13 I think Hey Baby to that biscuit all day

1:22:14 long.

1:22:16 >> [cheering]

1:22:17 >> Hello, Christian Dierman.

1:22:19 Sorry, did you all hurt me take a big

1:22:21 swig of water?

1:22:24 Hold on a second. Let me take more water

1:22:25 here. That's a flaky biscuit. Christian

1:22:27 Dierman on

1:22:28 just his second appearance of the season

1:22:30 had a

1:22:31 weird outing at Grayson Stadium

1:22:33 a couple of weekends ago. Came on, did a

1:22:35 Rasputin dance,

1:22:37 wiggle the hips,

1:22:39 and then an hour and 20-minute lightning

1:22:40 delay.

1:22:41 That's really tough for any pitcher to

1:22:42 go through.

1:22:44 Ultimately decided he'd go back out,

1:22:46 gave up a couple more hits, and got out

1:22:49 of the inning

1:22:50 without giving up or without getting an

1:22:52 out. So, Christian Dierman really trying

1:22:54 to find something a little bit different

1:22:56 here today, and he's got two runs of

1:22:57 support to play with here. Firefighters

1:22:59 could really use the point, though.

1:23:03 The first guy he's going to have to face

1:23:04 is Bobby LaDay.

1:23:09 LaDay really thought about that one, but

1:23:11 ultimately stays back.

1:23:22 I'll tell you what, man. If you ever

1:23:23 come

1:23:25 to Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, now

1:23:26 known as Dabo's Park,

1:23:28 buddy, the biscuits are incredible.

1:23:30 Thank the general manager for helping us

1:23:32 out with that. And how about the punchy

1:23:34 from Christian Dierman? Wiggle the hips

1:23:37 and give me some firepower.

1:23:42 And from a strikeout celly

1:23:44 to a walk-up.

1:23:56 >> [music]

1:24:19 [music and singing]

1:24:28 [music]

1:24:33 [music]

1:24:38 [singing]

1:24:42 [music]

1:24:42 >> No scrubs.

1:24:44 The song my wife sung for me a couple

1:24:45 different times.

1:24:49 Nobody reacted. Good.

1:24:51 Some TLC, by the way. Joe Lidle

1:24:54 ain't going to chasing waterfalls.

1:24:56 Christian Dierman trying to make him

1:24:58 chase upstairs and won't go. Joe was

1:25:00 really excellent last night for the

1:25:02 Clowns.

1:25:05 Just doing everything in his power

1:25:08 to get things going. Three hits against

1:25:09 his former team. That's a

1:25:12 flipping the bat. Darian McDowell WILL

1:25:14 WATCH IT GO OFF THE WALL.

1:25:16 LIDLE TRYING TO DIG FOR SECOND. HE

1:25:18 SLOWED DOWN, AND Peanut won't get the

1:25:21 tag in time.

1:25:23 Joe slides on in. Boy, he pimped that

1:25:26 like he thought it was gone.

1:25:29 And instead, Darian McDowell couldn't

1:25:31 find it in the sun. It bounces off the

1:25:33 wall, and Joe Lidle is on second.

1:25:36 He absolutely thought he destroyed that.

1:25:38 Instead, it goes off the wall. Man,

1:25:39 Darian McDowell might have had an

1:25:40 opportunity to get that, but I think he

1:25:41 lost it in the sun.

1:25:43 So, Christian Dierman will have now have

1:25:45 to pitch to Correlle Prime

1:25:47 with Joe Lidle standing at second.

1:25:52 And EJ thought he

1:25:54 put that one right where it needed to

1:25:56 be. Instead, he did not.

1:26:00 Inside. Did Correlle get hit? No, he

1:26:01 didn't.

1:26:04 It's a 3-0 count.

1:26:06 Dierman really got to find his stuff

1:26:07 here.

1:26:08 And it won't. Ball four sprint. Correlle

1:26:10 will lightly jog to first. Joe Lidle

1:26:11 will cruise on home.

1:26:13 So, Dierman gets his first punch out of

1:26:15 the season, and then gives up his first

1:26:17 run of the day.

1:26:21 >> [music]

1:26:23 >> Flash Kittel come on first.

1:26:25 Right now, Dierman would really like

1:26:28 a double play to get out of the jam.

1:26:30 Firefighters

1:26:31 still want that other point here

1:26:34 to go up three to one.

1:26:36 After 7-minute inning, you'd like to

1:26:38 think he'd find it, but right now,

1:26:39 Christian Dierman just cannot find the

1:26:41 strike zone.

1:26:44 It's five bad ones. Flash going for

1:26:46 second, AND MASON MAXWELL, NO ONE WAS

1:26:48 COVERING SECOND.

1:26:50 Dierman went to pick him off at first,

1:26:52 and Flash is already on his way to

1:26:53 second.

1:26:59 The inning had started with promise,

1:27:01 now not going the way Dierman would like

1:27:03 it to go, but he gets a strike there to

1:27:05 Joe Gray. First time he is seeing the

1:27:07 long-time Banana Baller,

1:27:11 who was also at the original games right

1:27:12 here in Montgomery, Alabama. Dierman is

1:27:14 [music] an OG Firefighter from the

1:27:16 team's first year in 2024. He gets

1:27:18 strike two. Strikeout here would be

1:27:20 massive for his hopes.

1:27:24 And he thought he had it.

1:27:27 3-2 on the mover.

1:27:30 Ball four sprint ties the inning.

1:27:33 AND HE GETS HIM TO RING UP. THROWS JOE

1:27:36 GRAY.

1:27:37 Throws the hat up in the air, takes a

1:27:39 bow. It's two punchouts for Christian

1:27:42 Dierman,

1:27:43 and Blake Morgan will take the mound

1:27:46 now. Dierman gets out of the inning. One

1:27:48 run of damage done against him. One run

1:27:50 second, but two Ks. That's big. And now,

1:27:52 Blake Morgan will get two warm-up

1:27:55 pitches to try and get that third out.

1:27:57 And this is a massive one. The

1:27:58 Firefighters really would like that

1:28:00 point

1:28:02 to make it a 3-1 ballgame.

1:28:04 So, Blake Morgan, two warm-up pitches.

1:28:06 This is a man who throws hard.

1:28:08 A man who throws quick.

1:28:10 Very much

1:28:11 in the realm of Zack Phillips. Maybe a

1:28:13 little slower, but not much.

1:28:15 Eighth-round pick

1:28:17 in the Banana Ball Player Draft. Was

1:28:18 teammates at UNC Wilmington in 2019 with

1:28:21 Noah and Zachary Bridges. That was the

1:28:23 last time he really pitched

1:28:24 competitively before coming to Banana

1:28:26 Ball. He wanted that one on the outside.

1:28:28 Jake Moore says, "No, you won't."

1:28:31 Down 2-0.

1:28:33 Wasn't able to record an out last week

1:28:35 in Little Rock.

1:28:36 The third out here would be massive.

1:28:38 Blake looks back Flash.

1:28:40 Malakai Mitchell steps back on at

1:28:43 second, and Nico Hoerner looks at a

1:28:44 strike to the outside.

1:28:50 2-1.

1:28:51 Into the dirt. Ball four sprint ties the

1:28:53 inning.

1:28:55 It's a 3-1 count.

1:28:59 Bemo needs one.

1:29:01 Right on top.

1:29:05 And he get he gets the ball four sprint

1:29:07 instead.

1:29:09 Throw low. That will tie the inning.

1:29:12 Clowns deny the Firefighters the point.

1:29:14 Flash flips. Nico stops at first,

1:29:18 and it's a 2-2 inning. And so, the

1:29:19 FireFighters, fresh off the 7-minute

1:29:22 performance against D'Andre Nosseau in

1:29:23 the top of the fourth,

1:29:25 will have to settle

1:29:27 hopefully for an equalizer equalized

1:29:29 inning on their side, but the guy at the

1:29:30 plate is not the one you want to see if

1:29:32 you're struggling. Chris Burgess is

1:29:33 tattooing everything you see.

1:29:49 Bimo staring at a 2-0 count.

1:29:56 Nico Holsizer could take off at first if

1:29:58 he wants to if it gets the ball for

1:30:00 sprint territory. Instead, it's a 2-1

1:30:02 count.

1:30:03 Bimo really needs this one for his

1:30:05 confidence and for the FireFighters here

1:30:07 in this one. Nico Holsizer taking off.

1:30:09 BURGESS RIGHT OUT TO NO ONE. HE COULDN'T

1:30:12 TAKE COULDN'T BRING IT IN.

1:30:14 DIVING OUT, it hits the ground. BURGESS

1:30:16 ON HIS WAY TO SECOND AND THE THROW NOT

1:30:19 IN TIME.

1:30:21 Tyner laid the tag, but Burgess was

1:30:23 already there. Kelly Dine calls him safe

1:30:27 and runners both in scoring position

1:30:29 with two away.

1:30:32 And now the man we just talked to for

1:30:33 half an hour,

1:30:34 Eli Payton,

1:30:36 is up at the dish.

1:30:38 >> [cheering]

1:30:39 >> Could bring in the inning-winning points

1:30:41 for the Indianapolis Clowns.

1:30:43 >> [cheering]

1:30:45 >> EJ trying to settle his pitcher down.

1:30:49 This is the part that's so tough as the

1:30:51 visiting team to pitch through.

1:30:52 >> [cheering]

1:30:53 >> The team goes for 7 minutes and Eli just

1:30:56 got hit.

1:30:57 Against the home team pitcher,

1:30:59 gets you two runs and you might lose it.

1:31:03 Bases loaded for Blake Morgan.

1:31:09 Nowhere to put him.

1:31:16 Dansby Swanson

1:31:27 That time goes. Dansby Swanson like it

1:31:29 doesn't matter. 1-1 count.

1:31:31 Dansby Swanson He's shown some flash of

1:31:34 the power here.

1:31:36 But you've really seen his prowess in

1:31:37 the field. Boy, Blake Morgan thought

1:31:39 that was in the same spot. EJ trying to

1:31:41 frame it up. It's 2-1 count. Ball for

1:31:43 sprint hit by pitch that wins the

1:31:45 inning. Anything through the infield

1:31:47 wins the inning. Nico trying to put some

1:31:49 pressure on big hack from Dansby

1:31:51 Swanson.

1:31:52 Deuces wild with the bases loaded.

1:31:55 Sold out Dabo's Park here in Montgomery.

1:32:00 INSIDE AND BIMO STRANDS THEM LOADED.

1:32:03 And his first out is a K and that will

1:32:06 at least save a point from the Clowns

1:32:08 and the FireFighters keep a 2-1 lead.

1:32:12 Huge chance for the Indianapolis Clowns

1:32:14 and they couldn't get it. And now

1:32:15 everybody,

1:32:17 let's bang that drum all day.

1:32:50 >> [music]

1:33:01 [music]

1:33:15 [music]

1:33:21 [music]

1:33:28 [music]

1:33:37 [music]

1:33:41 [cheering]

1:33:55 >> FireLine, just bring the fire, man. They

1:33:57 bring the chaos, they bring the heat,

1:33:58 they bring the beats. And Brett Maddox,

1:34:00 a registered nurse, is now on bump. This

1:34:03 guy trying to go surgical for the Clowns

1:34:05 and they need it because the

1:34:06 FireFighters are absolutely tattooing

1:34:09 everything that comes across the plate.

1:34:10 So far,

1:34:11 16 runs on the game.

1:34:14 You do the math. That's a lot.

1:34:16 Just for the FireFighters, by the way.

1:34:19 Right now, the Clowns have put a 20-22

1:34:20 up on the board. Two runs in the first,

1:34:22 two runs in the third, two runs in the

1:34:23 fourth. It's a 2-1 game for the

1:34:25 FireFighters. My math would tell me that

1:34:27 is 22 runs.

1:34:31 Logan Lacey Boy, he really got close to

1:34:33 stepping out of the box there, didn't

1:34:34 he?

1:34:36 3-1 count.

1:34:37 Maddox inside, but Lacey is going to

1:34:41 have to work on the count full. Didn't

1:34:42 like it, doesn't matter. Jake Moore

1:34:44 called it.

1:34:46 Right back up the middle and Logan Lacey

1:34:48 says, "You know what? Let me just do

1:34:50 this my way."

1:34:52 And a double and a single now for

1:34:53 Showtime.

1:34:55 By the way, the FireFighters I believe

1:34:56 are now on their fourth trip

1:34:59 through.

1:35:01 We might very possibly get them to five

1:35:03 or six ABs before this game is done.

1:35:06 This is an immaculate offensive

1:35:07 performance and EJ will stare

1:35:12 right at it.

1:35:21 Maddox, by the way, is a guy

1:35:23 talks a lot of trash on the ping pong

1:35:24 table. I watched him go up against

1:35:26 Kirkland Banks. Talked a lot. It was a

1:35:28 competitive game, I'll give him that.

1:35:29 He's a ninth-round pick for the Clowns

1:35:32 in the player draft. Spent the last two

1:35:33 seasons at Kansas Wesleyan as EJ

1:35:36 sort of chops that one. Bobby LaDay had

1:35:38 a little trouble getting that

1:35:38 transferred, but you know what? It will

1:35:40 just be an out.

1:35:42 Got Lacey at second, but EJ safe at

1:35:45 first. And by the way, we have blown

1:35:46 through all the challenges. The fans

1:35:48 have popped the challenge, the

1:35:49 FireFighters have challenged, and the

1:35:50 Clowns have challenged.

1:35:52 So, we've already had three challenges

1:35:54 and we haven't even reached the second

1:35:56 out of the fifth inning.

1:35:58 Goodness.

1:36:00 Armando Becerra

1:36:01 RBI double today.

1:36:04 Former party animal, now FireFighter.

1:36:06 He's a business-like approach.

1:36:13 Also a ball for sprint. Pyro Rob, hello

1:36:16 in the backstop.

1:36:18 It's good to see you.

1:36:20 Armando looks at ball two.

1:36:22 Pyro Rob just does whatever he wants,

1:36:24 man.

1:36:25 Maybe not the fire. He He has to do that

1:36:27 kind of on plan.

1:36:29 Armando right back out to left field and

1:36:31 Kirkland Banks catching up to it and

1:36:33 Smoke's going to have to race right back

1:36:35 on over to first.

1:36:39 That's a really good piece of hitting

1:36:40 for Armando and just couldn't get it to

1:36:42 land.

1:36:43 So, how about Peanut

1:36:44 for RBI? He's got a home run. It was a

1:36:47 three-run shot

1:36:49 and an RBI double. Halfway to a cycle.

1:36:54 He's halfway to a record. No, it was

1:36:56 actually three-quarters of the way to a

1:36:57 record, but he's looking at an 0-2

1:36:59 count.

1:37:00 Slaps this one left field. WILL THAT

1:37:03 LAND? YOU BET IT WILL.

1:37:05 SMOKE RACING THIRD. HE WANTS TO GO HOME.

1:37:08 THE MAGIC MAN WILL MAKE A LITTLE MAGIC.

1:37:11 PEANUT, HIS FIFTH RBI. CHOP THAT WOOD.

1:37:15 PEANUT POWER is real and it is

1:37:18 spectacular.

1:37:23 The FireFighters have plated a run in

1:37:26 the last four innings.

1:37:28 They have 17 runs today.

1:37:35 Coming into last week, they only had

1:37:37 nine runs.

1:37:39 They doubled that last Sunday

1:37:42 and they're on the possibility of

1:37:43 tripling that

1:37:45 just today. Last night, they had 10.

1:37:48 Darian McDowell, center field. JBJ

1:37:51 tracking, catching, and that is the

1:37:53 inning. But not before another run

1:37:56 is given up by the Clowns. Up a great

1:37:59 piece of hitting from Peanut

1:38:01 and the FireFighters lead it 1-0 going

1:38:03 into the bottom half.

1:38:04 And we have some things being moved in

1:38:06 the middle of the field.

1:38:08 I believe we're about to do something

1:38:09 real fun, real fiery, real special.

1:38:15 In a minute. That's JBJ, by the way.

1:38:17 Love that guy. Look at this great field.

1:38:21 The Riverwalk in Montgomery has been so

1:38:23 important to Banana Ball history.

1:38:25 So important to our sport and the growth

1:38:27 of it. As you see the box score here, 14

1:38:29 hits for the FireFighters. They've

1:38:31 already got the most hits they've had

1:38:32 all season and now it's time for

1:38:34 something real special.

1:38:55 >> [music]

1:39:03 [music]

1:39:14 >> Freedom.

1:39:22 >> [music]

1:39:28 [music]

1:39:52 >> That is just in the DNA of Jovan Ray.

1:39:55 Little Kendrick Lamar Beyonce action

1:39:58 from G

1:39:59 >> [cheering]

1:40:00 >> and Val Perez. That was sick.

1:40:04 Look at what Jovan's put up this year.

1:40:06 Last weekend really important for him in

1:40:07 North Little Rock. His first couple of

1:40:09 punch outs and boy they were critical.

1:40:11 In the fifth and sixth innings able to

1:40:13 strike out to get the Firefighters out

1:40:16 of the inning with a couple of runners

1:40:17 in scoring position. That's how you know

1:40:19 baby G comes up in the clutch.

1:40:22 And he'd like to do it here. The

1:40:23 Firefighters up one nothing in the

1:40:25 inning. They were up two to nothing

1:40:27 after the fourth top of the fourth

1:40:30 but gave up two. Really could use

1:40:32 something here as Willie Carter thought

1:40:33 about catching that one thought better

1:40:34 of it. Jaylen Vasquez on a one two

1:40:36 count. This is the count where he hit

1:40:37 the bomb last night. You know with two

1:40:40 strikes he gets aggressive. And he goes

1:40:42 right to second base Tiny Hughes between

1:40:44 the legs going the opposite way and

1:40:46 Mason Maxwell able to collect it. JV

1:40:49 thought he was safe. He wasn't.

1:40:52 Sweet trick play from Tiny and the

1:40:53 Firefighters critically right now

1:40:55 leading the trick play column six to

1:40:56 four. Again, we do give the trick play

1:40:59 equalizer point out if we reach the full

1:41:01 two hours. We just collect it after the

1:41:03 last full inning before the final frame.

1:41:08 Right now they lead it six to four. JBJ

1:41:10 not stealing. Have seen a couple

1:41:11 opportunities today for both the

1:41:12 Firefighters and the Clowns where they

1:41:14 could have stolen first decided not to.

1:41:17 JBJ's got plus speed. He would have

1:41:18 easily beaten that. EJ

1:41:20 had to go around a bunch of flames. HE

1:41:22 WON'T DO IT. JOVAN RAY BLOCKED IT.

1:41:24 HE JUST WENT BETWEEN THE LEGS AND MASON

1:41:26 DIGS IT OUT. YES, SIR. BABY G

1:41:30 sacrificing the hand for that one.

1:41:36 Jovan Ray look at this. Right back up

1:41:38 the middle goes between the legs Mason

1:41:40 Maxwell

1:41:42 pumping a fist for a good reason. Bobby

1:41:44 LaDay THIS MIGHT BE QUICK. PEANUT

1:41:46 BETWEEN THE LEGS OVER MASON AND HE TRIED

1:41:48 FOR THE TRICK PLAY. WOULD HAVE BEEN THE

1:41:50 THIRD OUT and it goes

1:41:52 out of his glove behind the back.

1:41:54 So it's a missed trick play

1:41:57 and Bobby LaDay's on.

1:41:59 That would have been less than a minute

1:42:01 and 30 seconds if that one would have

1:42:03 landed.

1:42:04 Now Joe Lidle man this could be

1:42:05 critical.

1:42:08 Against his former team.

1:42:10 Already thought he had a home run. Maybe

1:42:11 he goes for one here. The baby G's been

1:42:13 locked in.

1:42:16 He goes outside.

1:42:17 You wonder here

1:42:19 the fielding mistakes can come back to

1:42:20 bite a team in the butt. Will it do it

1:42:22 here for the Firefighters and can they

1:42:23 dig a little deep and find something?

1:42:26 Joe Lidle

1:42:27 soft chopper. Peanut just quickly over

1:42:29 to first and it's OUT OF THE GLOVE.

1:42:31 [screaming]

1:42:35 AND SO LADAY GOES ALL THE WAY TO THIRD.

1:42:36 Joe Lidle will stay at first.

1:42:39 But now runners on the corners and the

1:42:40 missed trick play might very well

1:42:44 be a critical mistake in the inning.

1:42:50 Firefighters have gotten three runs in

1:42:52 the last couple of innings. They would

1:42:54 like a point out of at least one of

1:42:55 them.

1:42:57 It's Koral Prime.

1:42:59 Jovan trying to work low.

1:43:02 Again ball four sprint easily would

1:43:03 bring home Bobby LaDay.

1:43:05 Prime the banana ball veteran.

1:43:07 Can he find it here? That one skipped

1:43:09 off the front and the inning tying run

1:43:11 comes in.

1:43:13 >> [applause and cheering]

1:43:19 >> And this is where the equalizer point

1:43:20 becomes so tantalizing but it can also

1:43:23 become a little too addictive. They try

1:43:25 for the trick play. Mason Maxwell you

1:43:27 give him credit for doing it. It's such

1:43:29 a tough play to make. But now the

1:43:30 Firefighters might not be able to get

1:43:32 out of the inning with the point in fact

1:43:33 they won't but they likely will be able

1:43:35 to get out of it

1:43:36 with at least an equalized inning. So

1:43:38 for the second straight inning

1:43:41 another point not earned by the

1:43:43 Firefighters but they stay up two to

1:43:45 one. Jazz Eagan's on the field.

1:43:51 They have to relay race a biscuit in

1:43:53 their mouth and they have to pass it to

1:43:55 their teammate only using their mouth.

1:43:58 So things are going to get up close and

1:44:00 personal. This is Chapped My Biscuit.

1:44:04 Ladies and gentlemen ON YOUR MARK GET

1:44:06 SET GO.

1:44:08 Starting down in the right field team

1:44:11 hat first team no hat. Oh, yeah.

1:44:15 They're chapping each other right there.

1:44:17 It looks like team no hat has a lead but

1:44:20 will they be able to hold on to it?

1:44:22 They're only using their mouth. It's

1:44:24 going to come down to the finish. Oh,

1:44:25 he's jumping into his Oh, yeah, baby.

1:44:30 My gosh. Ladies and gentlemen give it up

1:44:33 for team no hats. Hey, that got a little

1:44:36 too weird guys.

1:44:39 >> [cheering]

1:45:06 >> Boom, we're back playing banana ball.

1:45:07 Top of the sixth.

1:45:09 Mason Maxwell going up against Brett

1:45:11 Maddox.

1:45:17 Maxwell backed up into the backstop.

1:45:28 Mason high into the sky.

1:45:31 Winding up underneath it is JBJ going

1:45:33 for the tip drill right to Joe Gray.

1:45:37 That's a great trick play for the

1:45:38 Clowns.

1:45:39 Pull back to two in the trick play

1:45:40 column.

1:45:42 Got about 30 minutes to try

1:45:45 to complete this.

1:46:03 Noah Bridges facing Noah excuse me

1:46:06 facing Brett Maddox.

1:46:07 Again trying to work quickly

1:46:08 methodically with that surgical presence

1:46:11 that a nurse should have.

1:46:13 Already up one two in the count.

1:46:16 Noah's had a really good last couple of

1:46:17 weeks. Can he make it a little better?

1:46:19 We'll have to wait. It's a two two

1:46:20 count.

1:46:27 Right back up the middle. LaDay

1:46:29 gets the between the legs but he took a

1:46:31 little too long in the transfer and Noah

1:46:33 is safe.

1:46:55 So Lamar Sparks already hit a homer in

1:46:58 this game

1:47:00 on his fourth plate appearance. By the

1:47:01 way Firefighters now about to go through

1:47:03 the fifth trip through the order. If

1:47:04 Lamar can reach base here and if that

1:47:06 happens by the way this is very quickly

1:47:08 becoming

1:47:09 a time shortened game cuz the

1:47:11 Firefighters have just hit everything

1:47:12 under the sun.

1:47:14 Lamar looks at his first strike.

1:47:25 Lamar again

1:47:27 freezing up. It's a two two count.

1:47:35 One on. Noah takes off. Lamar swings

1:47:38 through it.

1:47:39 >> [music]

1:47:40 >> And it is a K.

1:47:43 And Noah Bridges on to second. The

1:47:45 Firefighters trying to plate a run for

1:47:47 another inning in a row. That would be

1:47:48 number five as Tiny Hughes comes up for

1:47:50 plate appearance number five.

1:47:56 So runner on second

1:47:58 and Tiny up.

1:47:59 He's a guy who has been able to come up

1:48:01 so clutch in so many different

1:48:02 situations and he's done it with just

1:48:04 good pieces of hitting. Not trying to

1:48:06 hit for power but just putting the ball

1:48:08 in play. He does put that one in play.

1:48:10 Chasing Jackie Bradley Jr. back just a

1:48:11 touch but it's no problem for the former

1:48:14 Major League All-Star and that

1:48:17 is that. The first clean inning the

1:48:19 Clowns have had since the first. They

1:48:21 have a chance to tie this thing up

1:48:23 at two a piece in the bottom half of the

1:48:25 sixth inning here

1:48:27 as we salute the heroes of our community

1:48:29 in Montgomery, Alabama.

1:48:31 A tip of the cap to all the

1:48:32 Firefighters, EMS workers

1:48:36 all the school teachers, first

1:48:37 responders.

1:48:38 >> [applause]

1:48:41 >> This is the best part about going to a

1:48:43 Firefighter game as we get to salute

1:48:45 those who have put their lives on the

1:48:46 line or who have made the lives of

1:48:48 someone else just a little bit better.

1:48:50 >> [applause and music]

1:48:51 >> It's the best part of this.

1:49:00 To our EMS workers.

1:49:05 To our dispatchers.

1:49:08 >> [applause]

1:49:08 >> To our school teachers.

1:49:12 >> [cheering and screaming]

1:49:12 >> AND TO OUR FIREFIGHTERS.

1:49:17 >> [cheering]

1:49:19 >> We thank you for your service and

1:49:21 commitment to our great country.

1:49:25 Now is the time we all stand.

1:49:27 >> the heroes of our community, Baby G is

1:49:29 out to start his next inning of work.

1:49:32 And finally, for the first time this

1:49:34 weekend, we talked about this yesterday.

1:49:36 He got a little shy on me for the first

1:49:37 time since I've known him. Let's talk to

1:49:40 young Kayden Green from the Auburn

1:49:42 University, just a little close to here.

1:49:44 Peanut, HOW WE FEELING OUT THERE, young

1:49:46 man? Hey now, what's going on? Feeling

1:49:48 good.

1:49:50 All right, we're getting out of here.

1:49:51 All right. First of all, you're on fire

1:49:53 today. Five RBI. Do you know what the

1:49:55 record is in Banana Ball? No, I'm not

1:49:57 sure.

1:49:58 >> Six. Okay. Okay, good to know.

1:50:00 >> Now you know it. Now I don't want you to

1:50:01 be thinking about that. I just want you

1:50:03 to have it in your brain. Okay. I got

1:50:05 [music] you. So, number one, how has it

1:50:07 felt being this close back to where you

1:50:09 played college ball? Uh it feels good,

1:50:11 you know, seeing a lot of uh seeing a

1:50:12 lot of Auburn folks out here.

1:50:18 Seeing a lot of uh War Eagle people.

1:50:20 How's it going to put trick play for

1:50:21 Baby G there?

1:50:23 Man, Baby G looked like he was locked

1:50:25 and loaded in the fifth inning. I know

1:50:26 the missed trick play happens, but you

1:50:28 got to go for him, right? Yeah, I went

1:50:29 ahead and I went for one and then the

1:50:31 backhand, that's on me and uh you got to

1:50:34 take ownership for that.

1:50:35 >> Aw man,

1:50:36 you know what? You get credit. You get

1:50:37 credit for going for trick plays. You

1:50:38 get aggressive here. All right.

1:50:41 Everybody knows you obviously for the

1:50:43 guy being the M&M guy, right? M&M

1:50:46 walk-ups. I think you lead the Banana

1:50:47 Ball history in M&M walk-ups. It's a

1:50:50 great honor to have. So from this point

1:50:52 forward, I would like you to only

1:50:53 communicate to your basemate

1:50:56 Logan Lacey at third in M&M lyrics.

1:50:59 All right, I got you. Can you do that?

1:51:00 Oh, into the stands. Lacey!

1:51:03 Lacey!

1:51:04 Will the real Slim SHADY PLEASE STAND

1:51:06 UP?

1:51:07 OKAY. YEAH, GOOD.

1:51:09 He said he said there's one out.

1:51:11 >> Okay, good.

1:51:12 I like that from Logan Lacey.

1:51:14 Nico Holsizer just inside. Javon Ray

1:51:17 trying to get a clean inning of work

1:51:18 here. Let me uh

1:51:22 I like that. I asked um

1:51:24 Ron Strickland, who was up here earlier

1:51:25 trying some biscuits. By the way, when

1:51:26 he was up here, that's when you guys put

1:51:28 up nine in it or nine runs in an inning.

1:51:30 I know he saw

1:51:30 >> sick. I asked if he was in the on the

1:51:32 mic and he said, "Nah." I said, "Dang

1:51:34 it." No, he was. He was getting a video

1:51:36 of your home run. That's all elite. And

1:51:38 when it bounced away from EJ

1:51:39 >> Shiny, till I collapse.

1:51:41 Till I collapse.

1:51:43 Yeah, good. Tiny looks so confused right

1:51:46 now.

1:51:46 >> lost. He's so Look at him. He's like a

1:51:49 Tiny looks absolutely terrified of what

1:51:52 that means.

1:51:54 Holsizer fouls it off, will stay alive.

1:51:56 >> Lacey! One shot, one opportunity.

1:51:59 Yeah.

1:52:00 This is incredible. Nobody knows what's

1:52:02 going on and it's brilliant. So Banana

1:52:04 Ball.

1:52:05 3-2. Knocked over to Tiny, the diving

1:52:08 attempt won't go. Darian McDowell

1:52:09 thought about throwing to first, instead

1:52:11 will just collect it.

1:52:11 >> could possibly do that, too. That's the

1:52:13 thing. And throw it over there. Yeah,

1:52:14 Tiny was inches away from getting that

1:52:16 one. So, how did it feel to get that

1:52:18 first home run finally out of the way in

1:52:19 2026? Good. Felt really good. Uh

1:52:22 I told the fellas today I'm going to try

1:52:23 to squeeze one 315 out there with Wobby

1:52:26 and 314 and

1:52:27 uh spoke it into existence, I guess.

1:52:30 Chris Burge is up. Javon Ray trying to

1:52:32 get out of this one with a clean inning.

1:52:33 He's about to give me a ground ball.

1:52:36 We wait to see

1:52:37 if Peanut has predicted this correctly.

1:52:39 You know what? Ron actually Ron actually

1:52:41 called a a behind-the-back catch from

1:52:44 Lacey and we thought he caught it and

1:52:45 then it fell, but Ron was convinced he

1:52:46 caught it. Really?

1:52:48 >> Pick over. Oh, it was close.

1:52:51 >> What are you thinking up there? What do

1:52:52 you What do you see up there?

1:52:52 >> Nico just back in the nick of time. I

1:52:54 mean, it was close. I haven't seen a

1:52:55 replay yet, but that was tight.

1:52:58 Trying to get a trying to get a double

1:53:00 play for my boy here.

1:53:01 Let's see if Kayden can do it.

1:53:03 That'll be launched into the stars.

1:53:05 >> have a crazy play here. We might have a

1:53:07 crazy play here. Launched in foul and

1:53:08 Darian McDowell I believe lost it in the

1:53:10 sun. That's the problem with these day

1:53:11 games, man. The darn sun. No, it's

1:53:13 bright out here.

1:53:14 >> It is very bright. It's also hot as

1:53:16 daylight.

1:53:16 >> Yeah. Yeah, and we're cooking in the

1:53:18 black for sure. We're cooking in the

1:53:19 black. How much nostalgia is back this

1:53:21 week for you, by the way? Mhm. Mhm. Like

1:53:24 how much there? Not just an mhm.

1:53:26 Wait, hold on. Let me say repeat that.

1:53:27 Sorry. I said, "How much nostalgia is in

1:53:28 a week like this for you?" A lot.

1:53:30 Hearing all the War Eagles

1:53:32 uh takes me back to the best one two of

1:53:34 the best two years of my life at Auburn.

1:53:37 I would hope the best year of your life

1:53:38 is now, though. You're engaged to be

1:53:40 wed. Yes. Yes, 100%. That That is true.

1:53:43 I know you'd like to celebrate the end

1:53:44 of the year with two rings, a Banana

1:53:45 Ball championship league one

1:53:47 and one on the finger of the left hand.

1:53:49 I mean, that would be ideal.

1:53:51 >> Bailey's here, right? She was here

1:53:53 yesterday. She She had to head back home

1:53:55 today.

1:53:55 >> Man, she missed your first home run. Oh,

1:53:57 swing and a miss.

1:53:59 Baby G.

1:54:01 Talking about it. Uh-oh, hit it. Hit it.

1:54:06 Firefighters.

1:54:08 Man, the entire field just hit that

1:54:09 again. [screaming] That was sh- THAT WAS

1:54:11 SO SH- SWEET. I can't talk. I'm so

1:54:13 excited.

1:54:15 Check over again.

1:54:16 >> Tiny!

1:54:17 Tiny! Square dance with me. Square

1:54:19 dance.

1:54:21 Oh my gosh, I didn't even see that just

1:54:22 happen.

1:54:24 Going to need you to yell one maybe over

1:54:26 to Javon and maybe over to Mason. Don't

1:54:28 distract Javon actually, he's in his

1:54:29 zone.

1:54:29 >> injure Javon. I can't. He He's locked

1:54:31 in. I'm going to let him get this final

1:54:33 out here.

1:54:34 Like rap the whole verse of Rap God. Oh

1:54:37 gosh. Maybe without the swearing. Which

1:54:39 by the way,

1:54:40 Ron said the D word like three times up

1:54:43 here.

1:54:44 That's not bad. I'm just saying.

1:54:45 >> have to feel like a rap god. Oh, there

1:54:47 he goes.

1:54:50 Whoa. Let me help you with that. Some of

1:54:52 them are dumb of them. You assuming I'm

1:54:53 a human? What I got to do to get it

1:54:54 through to you? I'm superhuman. Whoa.

1:54:57 I practiced that all through college.

1:54:58 Eli Payne, you didn't know I could flow

1:54:59 like that, did you?

1:55:00 >> I hear you.

1:55:02 It's my job to talk for a living, so I

1:55:03 probably should be able to talk really

1:55:05 quickly. Nico going for second, right

1:55:06 above the

1:55:07 and then it bounces back. This is so

1:55:09 weird. WE HAVE NOT HAD A FAN caught foul

1:55:11 ball for us. Yeah, foul ball. Foul ball.

1:55:13 What is that?

1:55:14 NO, MAN. LET HIM STAY AT SECOND AND THEN

1:55:16 GET THE HIDDEN BALL TRICK. I should have

1:55:17 told him to stay.

1:55:18 >> Yeah, you really should have deeked him

1:55:19 out.

1:55:20 We stay at a 1-2.

1:55:23 Baby G trying to clean this one up.

1:55:26 Over. Mason Maxwell blocks it down. Just

1:55:29 does it himself. What was that?

1:55:32 >> [cheering]

1:55:35 >> Mason probably could have taken it

1:55:36 himself over to first, tried to flip it

1:55:38 to Javon for a trick play.

1:55:40 And now runners on first and second.

1:55:44 Tiny!

1:55:45 Tiny!

1:55:47 Tiny!

1:55:49 >> [cheering]

1:55:52 >> Ryan Dansereau up.

1:55:54 Javon really needs to find that critical

1:55:56 pitch. He dirt one again. I'm G. I'm G.

1:56:00 Bottom six. This has been an absolutely

1:56:02 offensive game to say the least.

1:56:05 Firefighters, five in the second, nine

1:56:07 in the third, two in the fourth, one in

1:56:09 the fifth, and that one's going to get

1:56:10 by again.

1:56:13 And now in critical situation here for

1:56:15 Javon Ray. Runners in scoring position

1:56:17 with two away in a 2-0 count.

1:56:20 But this is where he got out of some

1:56:21 trouble last weekend. Stranded a runner

1:56:23 on third in both the fifth and the sixth

1:56:25 innings.

1:56:26 Can he do it again?

1:56:28 Dansereau.

1:56:29 >> Come on, make a play for him. Make a

1:56:30 play for him.

1:56:31 >> does it THE NORMAL WAY AND HE GOT HIM.

1:56:33 >> GOT IT, BABY. Let's go. Peanut, he did

1:56:34 make a play.

1:56:35 >> Yeah, baby. Let's go. Peanut, come on.

1:56:36 Thanks for doing this, big dog. Go get

1:56:38 you that sixth RBI and break the record

1:56:39 here.

1:56:40 >> you, Zack. Man, I love this thing with

1:56:42 this fire. He's too hot [laughter]

1:56:43 today.

1:56:44 Corell Prime. Love that guy. Love you,

1:56:46 Peanut.

1:56:47 >> [cheering and applause]

1:56:47 >> And from that

1:56:49 we go to a world fastest. How about it?

1:56:52 Vinny Santarciello

1:56:54 >> [cheering]

1:56:54 >> is coming on in. This is the guy who

1:56:56 actually is like a literal hero.

1:57:00 Going to

1:57:01 bring up this story here for you. This

1:57:02 is the guy who helped a kayaker who had

1:57:04 been reported missing after flipping his

1:57:06 kayak. Take a look at the box [cheering]

1:57:07 score. Two points to one, but look at

1:57:09 the hits, 15 to 11. This is where the

1:57:11 firefighters have to be going mad in the

1:57:13 run column right now.

1:57:16 >> [cheering]

1:57:16 >> If my math serves me correct, and I have

1:57:18 no reason to believe it won't, 17 runs.

1:57:21 >> [cheering]

1:57:21 >> 5 + 9 is 14 + 2 is 16 + 1 is 17. I

1:57:25 should have believed him first. 17 runs.

1:57:28 The clowns have scored seven. They have

1:57:30 outscored them by 10 runs. They lead by

1:57:32 one point. That's Banana Ball.

1:57:35 It's absolutely Banana Ball. And we are

1:57:37 back playing against a 2-1 count.

1:57:41 Don Cornett could really fire one in

1:57:42 here and [music] make things difficult.

1:57:46 He could earn a ball for sprinting, also

1:57:47 make it really difficult as we go to the

1:57:48 top of the seventh. Again, don't want to

1:57:49 remind you too much of the clock,

1:57:52 but we are at 17 minutes and there is a

1:57:53 seventh inning to go. Cornett trying to

1:57:55 spray this one by Jaylen Vasquez,

1:57:56 twisting and turning and getting it over

1:57:58 to first. Corell Prime brings it in.

1:58:00 That's a sweet play from JV.

1:58:13 So Vinny Santarciello, a rookie who's

1:58:15 wearing different colored cleats, by the

1:58:16 way,

1:58:18 comes in and immediately has to go fast

1:58:19 and Logan Lacey has to jump on out of

1:58:21 there.

1:58:28 Lacey, that is drilled to the bullpen

1:58:30 foul.

1:58:32 But there is the live bat of showtime.

1:58:35 You can tell it's waking up today.

1:58:36 Already a single, already a double.

1:58:40 You can really start to see Logan Lacey

1:58:42 finding his rhythm again. 3-1 count.

1:58:44 Second straight batter we've seen a 3-1

1:58:47 count from Vinny.

1:58:50 Double L would really like to find a way

1:58:51 onto the base patch.

1:58:54 But he swings, fouls it back, and will

1:58:56 be O2.

1:59:04 >> [cheering]

1:59:06 >> Lacy up to the stands. SOPHIE MORGAN

1:59:09 MAKE A PLAY.

1:59:11 ACTUALLY DON'T. I didn't need you to

1:59:12 make a play on that one.

1:59:14 That was against the Firefighters.

1:59:16 So we do a 3-2 again.

1:59:18 >> [cheering]

1:59:19 >> Lacy, that is sharply lined down the

1:59:21 line a base knock. He'll race for second

1:59:25 and Double L is going to get there

1:59:26 standing up with ease.

1:59:54 AJ

1:59:56 One for two, able to get a sack fly in.

2:00:00 1-1

2:00:03 And a guy, by the way, who's going to

2:00:04 get married this summer. We were talking

2:00:06 to AJ

2:00:07 last weekend about Danielle. I believe

2:00:08 she is here this weekend and he lines

2:00:10 one in the left center field. It's a

2:00:11 base knock. Should bring in a run. Logan

2:00:14 Lacy has to turn on the jets and fly

2:00:16 around third, but you know what? He will

2:00:17 do that and AJ has brought in the 18th

2:00:20 run

2:00:21 of the game for the Fire and Flames.

2:00:24 What a weekend this has been for AJ.

2:00:32 So Armando Becerra comes on in.

2:00:34 AJ, by the way, second hit of the game.

2:00:35 It's his second straight Sunday with two

2:00:37 hits. He really likes playing on the

2:00:38 Sabbath.

2:00:42 Good for him.

2:00:43 Maybe he can celebrate the end of the

2:00:45 season with two rings as well. We got

2:00:46 like three or four Firefighters fitting

2:00:48 to do that.

2:00:52 The single game runs record, by the way,

2:00:54 for one team was done on April 26th of

2:00:56 2023.

2:00:58 That was 19 runs. The Firefighters are

2:01:00 one away from tying that. They are two

2:01:02 away from breaking it. And this was a

2:01:03 team through three games that could not

2:01:05 score nine runs. And now, NOW ARMANDO

2:01:07 BECERRA lines one in the right field.

2:01:09 Smoke's got to get on his horse and get

2:01:11 to second. He will do it.

2:01:13 Obviously couldn't go all the way to

2:01:14 second at first cuz JV's got really good

2:01:17 hops.

2:01:19 Couldn't bring that one in. And now,

2:01:20 runners on first and second. And it's

2:01:22 supposed to be a world's fastest, but

2:01:24 right now turning into a long one for

2:01:25 Vinnie.

2:01:26 Peanut has a chance to break a record

2:01:29 here.

2:01:30 Instead he'll look at one outside.

2:01:32 Vinnie really thought that one was in.

2:01:37 Ben Doman and Christian Dierman are

2:01:38 dancing.

2:01:39 Having a blast.

2:01:41 Inside ball two.

2:01:46 Peanut with a patient bat, but an

2:01:48 explosive one today.

2:01:50 That one does get rung up for a strike.

2:01:54 Told you last night about the fire

2:01:55 helmet story with Auburn. If you did

2:01:57 anything well while Peanut was playing

2:01:59 there, they gave you a fire helmet.

2:02:01 He gets one today.

2:02:03 It'll be because he just tied the RBI

2:02:05 record.

2:02:06 A 3-1 count, ball four sprint would do

2:02:07 it. He would tie the record.

2:02:11 And it's a ball four sprint. Cayden

2:02:12 Peanut Green is going to bring in his

2:02:14 sixth one of the game. And if Armando

2:02:16 Becerra gets on his horse,

2:02:18 he could get going instead well, so

2:02:20 Peanut has tied the RBI record

2:02:23 for one game from a single player.

2:02:26 Peanut power is now a Peanut milestone.

2:02:30 It's what Firefighter country is all

2:02:32 about. Now Darian McDowell

2:02:35 has got his iPod stuck on replay. Wish

2:02:37 he brought a book bag up here.

2:02:39 Cuz that would be a clear indicator he's

2:02:40 about to go ya ya.

2:02:44 Instead he chops one. Eli Payton

2:02:46 couldn't connect with it. Bobby LeDay,

2:02:48 can he get it over in time? He cannot.

2:02:49 And another run comes on in. It's doing

2:02:51 the frame for the Firefighters and they

2:02:53 are just taking out frustration after

2:02:55 frustration from last night on a banana

2:02:58 ball with families. Third run of the

2:03:00 inning. Third.

2:03:02 This is a five, now six minute inning

2:03:05 here.

2:03:07 Mason Maxwell watches one go by and he's

2:03:09 going to GO STEAL FIRST BASE. WHY NOT?

2:03:11 LOAD THEM UP.

2:03:15 The bases are indeed juiced.

2:03:18 And right now the Firefighters are

2:03:19 having fun.

2:03:21 The Firefighters are playing banana

2:03:22 ball. The Firefighters know what's going

2:03:24 on tonight, EXCEPT IT'S TODAY. TODAY,

2:03:26 TODAY.

2:03:28 Love Ron Franklin. Love love Jovan

2:03:30 Williams.

2:03:31 By the way, how critical

2:03:34 was it for Jovan to get out of the

2:03:36 bottom of the sixth now with no damage

2:03:38 done?

2:03:39 Cuz now the Firefighters are really

2:03:40 flirting

2:03:41 with potentially winning this game and

2:03:43 getting it really short. And again, the

2:03:45 equalizer play is always at play for a

2:03:47 game, even if it's shortened by length.

2:03:49 The only reason it wouldn't be is if

2:03:51 it's a weather shortened game. Jaylen

2:03:52 Vasquez over to second, not in time for

2:03:54 first and yet another run scores. Peanut

2:03:57 in.

2:03:58 And it's a four run frame for the

2:03:59 Fighters. And this is exactly what the

2:04:01 Clowns did to them last night.

2:04:03 Remember, four runs in the top of the

2:04:04 seventh, four runs in the top of the

2:04:06 eighth, and then the home run in the top

2:04:08 of the ninth.

2:04:09 And by the way, they've just blown

2:04:11 through the record for single runs in a

2:04:12 game.

2:04:15 And by the way, Peanut just tied the

2:04:17 record for single runs in a game. Peanut

2:04:20 is absolutely blistering up the banana

2:04:22 ball record books right now.

2:04:24 Adore it. Lamar Sparks

2:04:26 watches Noah Bridges fly to second with

2:04:28 a stolen base.

2:04:31 Jacob Pipperkick, by the way, did this

2:04:33 yesterday.

2:04:35 What a weekend for the offenses here in

2:04:37 banana ball.

2:04:42 Lamar, soft chopper to second. Two outs

2:04:44 make it three. So the Clowns finally are

2:04:47 out of the frame, but not before four

2:04:48 runs come across.

2:04:50 That now means the Firefighters have 22

2:04:53 runs and that record book's going to

2:04:54 have to be updated.

2:04:57 And a world's fastest

2:04:59 for Brian Trepanier. BK

2:05:02 not really a ton of time to warm up. You

2:05:04 hope he's done so in the bullpen. Johnny

2:05:06 Hummel out there as well. He could very

2:05:07 well be the closer in the eighth inning

2:05:08 as far as we know at this point.

2:05:13 And also the Firefighters, they lead

2:05:14 8-5. This could very well be the last

2:05:17 full inning we play before the final

2:05:18 inning.

2:05:19 So with an 8-5 lead and the trick plays,

2:05:21 they could really hammer here. Noah

2:05:22 Bridges is not even out to left field.

2:05:25 I know what I'd be telling JV if I was

2:05:27 up there as a hitting coach.

2:05:30 Go opposite.

2:05:32 He won't do it. BK having a tough time

2:05:33 finding the strike zone here. It's a 3-0

2:05:35 count. And this is the issue with the

2:05:37 world's fastest is the pitcher really

2:05:39 doesn't get a ton of time to get himself

2:05:40 warm. A quick ball four sprint issued

2:05:42 out. Jaylen Vasquez stops at first. Now

2:05:46 JBJ comes in.

2:05:49 Brian Trepanier so good last week,

2:05:51 struck out the first battery faced

2:05:54 against Jordan Brewer

2:05:56 with two-thirds of an inning before he

2:05:58 handed the ball off to Marshall Shield.

2:05:59 His first innings back

2:06:01 after a Texas Tailgater last year. He

2:06:03 led the team in strikeout percentage.

2:06:05 Wasn't drafted in the player draft. We

2:06:06 told you last week.

2:06:08 Started working in the banana ball merch

2:06:09 warehouse out in Pooler, Georgia.

2:06:12 Got a call after Ron Franklin's knee

2:06:14 injury that the team wanted to sign him.

2:06:15 He was quickly brought aboard. First

2:06:17 weekend with the team was in Georgia

2:06:21 in Savannah Grayson Stadium.

2:06:23 Right now he's just unable to get the

2:06:24 ball down.

2:06:25 He's thrown seven straight bad ones.

2:06:29 Again, the Firefighters have a lot of

2:06:30 room to play with here as he picks on

2:06:31 over to JV.

2:06:35 But we saw this last night. Firefighters

2:06:37 jumped right back on the Clowns

2:06:40 because of the ball four sprints and

2:06:41 that's two straight. Eight bad ones in a

2:06:43 row for BK.

2:06:49 You have to wonder now with the game

2:06:51 really coming down towards the final

2:06:53 minutes,

2:06:54 do the Firefighters look potentially at

2:06:56 bringing Johnny Hummel in early

2:06:59 if BK can't find it.

2:07:02 That one looked about as good as you

2:07:03 could.

2:07:04 BK is now on his ninth straight ball.

2:07:09 And a big swing and a miss from Bobby

2:07:10 LeDay. He wanted to send that to the

2:07:11 train tracks.

2:07:13 But he missed. That's the first strike

2:07:15 Trepanier's thrown. And there's a

2:07:17 second. Might he have found something?

2:07:20 Runners on the corners, nobody out. Four

2:07:22 nothing lead in the inning for the

2:07:23 Firefighters.

2:07:24 Trying to get one up and moving.

2:07:27 Won't do it. It's a 2-2 count.

2:07:33 BK again trying to get him to offer

2:07:35 high. Won't do it.

2:07:37 3-2

2:07:38 Ball four sprint on the table would

2:07:40 bring in a run. And Bobby LeDay strikes

2:07:42 out.

2:07:44 And how important was that for BK's

2:07:45 confidence?

2:07:47 But now,

2:07:48 this is how loaded this Clowns lineup

2:07:49 can get.

2:07:51 From Bobby to Joe Lidle, the mullet man

2:07:54 trying to shake it against his former

2:07:55 team.

2:07:56 He is one of the best situational

2:07:58 hitters you'll find. Was one of the best

2:07:59 situational hitters for the Firefighters

2:08:01 last year. Could put it down the left

2:08:02 field line. Could pull it down the right

2:08:04 field line.

2:08:05 Right now he just really needs to find a

2:08:06 way to score. BK just unable to really

2:08:09 consistently connect on the strike zone.

2:08:11 A double play though would sure help

2:08:12 him.

2:08:14 Lidle high in the skies. Darian McDowell

2:08:19 couldn't find it at first. Can he get IT

2:08:20 NOW? NO, HE CAN'T.

2:08:22 AND IT BOUNCES OVER THE wall for a

2:08:24 ground rule double.

2:08:26 Darian McDowell is having a lot of

2:08:28 trouble in right field today.

2:08:30 One run will come on in.

2:08:37 Again, Firefighters still with three

2:08:39 runs of cushion.

2:08:41 But that cushion's starting to die down.

2:08:46 Really, the fielding today for the

2:08:47 Firefighters has just left a little

2:08:49 something to be desired. That was about

2:08:51 as lucky of a bounce as you're going to

2:08:52 find. Right off the fire launcher back

2:08:56 into the midsection Eric Jones Jr.

2:09:09 Double play off the table.

2:09:19 3-0

2:09:20 BK really laboring. Johnny Hummel is

2:09:22 already back with the Firefighters

2:09:24 dugout. Could very well see him come in

2:09:26 here. After strike, Correll Prime stays

2:09:29 in the box. Safe Harbor rule anyway.

2:09:31 Wouldn't be penalized for it.

2:09:33 Ball four sprint would bring in two.

2:09:36 Correll fouls it off.

2:09:37 BK works it full.

2:09:47 Payoff. Right down the line, it's fair.

2:09:53 Gets stuck in the bullpen. Two runs

2:09:55 score. It's a two RBI double for Correll

2:09:58 Prime.

2:10:01 And the Firefighters in danger again of

2:10:04 having another run or another inning

2:10:06 where they've had runs scored in the top

2:10:07 of the frame go for nothing.

2:10:11 It's a 4-3 inning. This that is a great

2:10:13 piece of lumber there laid down

2:10:16 by Correll Prime. Val Perez is talking

2:10:18 to Jake Moore about something.

2:10:21 Potentially wondering if the third base

2:10:22 umpire got in the way of Logan Lacey.

2:10:25 BK clearly not happy with something in

2:10:28 the field and Johnny Hummel is going to

2:10:29 come on in.

2:10:32 So, after two ball four sprints in a row

2:10:34 and three innings or three runs issued

2:10:36 in the inning,

2:10:39 Ryan Trapani, her second appearance with

2:10:40 the Firefighters, will be one to forget.

2:10:42 And Johnny Hummel

2:10:44 now with a massive opportunity.

2:10:47 The lightning from Lexington.

2:10:50 Five minutes to go in the game. Could

2:10:52 really shut this thing down for the

2:10:53 Firefighters. He's got to get them out

2:10:55 of this inning. Runner on second. They

2:10:57 still lead the inning 4-3.

2:10:59 Joe Gray, soft one to Lacey and it's

2:11:01 foul.

2:11:04 >> [cheering]

2:11:05 >> Johnny Hummel has had so many clutch

2:11:07 opportunities, so many clutch situations

2:11:09 brought [music] through. This is the guy

2:11:11 with three showdown shut down innings

2:11:13 last year, two in Grayson Stadium,

2:11:15 one in Yankee Stadium.

2:11:17 He's going to need a shut down inning

2:11:19 right here. Joe Gray throws the bat.

2:11:21 Peanut. Not even going to go for the

2:11:23 trick play, right to first. Two outs.

2:11:25 Runner advances to third. Correll Prime

2:11:27 is running. No flash here.

2:11:30 And Nico Hulshizer, the former

2:11:31 Montgomery Biscuit, he's going to have a

2:11:33 chance to maybe win this inning here.

2:11:39 >> [cheering]

2:11:43 >> That's high. Again, a ball four sprint

2:11:46 would end the

2:11:47 point advantage here for the

2:11:48 Firefighters in the frame.

2:11:55 Nico's last year here in Montgomery was

2:11:57 2022. He hit .279.

2:12:00 Smokes one into the ground.

2:12:03 >> [cheering]

2:12:05 >> While he was here, both in 2021 and

2:12:07 2022,

2:12:09 hit 26 home runs. Strike two.

2:12:13 Deuces wild. Runner on third.

2:12:14 Firefighters got to have it.

2:12:19 Hulshizer dumps it in and that'll tie

2:12:21 the inning.

2:12:23 And he's racing for second.

2:12:26 Get there easily. It's an RBI double and

2:12:29 again the Firefighters cannot take

2:12:31 advantage of the points they get in the

2:12:33 top of the inning.

2:12:35 The Firefighters have 22 runs in this

2:12:38 game. They have two points.

2:12:40 It has not been up to snuff

2:12:42 at least in the field and on the bump to

2:12:45 be able to win this one going away. They

2:12:47 had the advantage in the trick play

2:12:49 column. And at this point with two

2:12:50 minutes and 50 seconds to go, that very

2:12:52 well could win them the Banana Ball

2:12:54 game.

2:12:57 Hummel gets Burgess leaning out of it.

2:13:01 The next run for the Clowns

2:13:03 would win the inning. But Hummel quickly

2:13:05 fires one in inside for a strike.

2:13:11 And that plunked him.

2:13:14 The hottest hitter on the Clowns is

2:13:15 going to first.

2:13:18 And the Banana Ball rookie, Eli Peyton,

2:13:23 go up against Johnny Hummel.

2:13:27 >> [cheering]

2:13:32 >> Peyton swings and misses on the first

2:13:34 pitch.

2:13:39 >> [cheering]

2:13:40 >> Trying to go outside, nothing there.

2:13:42 Hummel working quickly.

2:13:44 This is tension built up.

2:13:47 Peyton wanted to get that one in.

2:13:49 Nothing there. One two count. We are

2:13:51 under two minutes to go.

2:13:55 ON THE OUTSIDE, NO. Johnny thought that

2:13:58 was the inning ender.

2:14:02 Minute and a half to go.

2:14:04 >> [music]

2:14:05 >> Eli with a patient at bat and that one's

2:14:07 foul.

2:14:09 And the clock is ticking, folks.

2:14:12 By the way, if this were it,

2:14:13 Firefighters would get the equalizer

2:14:15 point. They would win the game.

2:14:20 1:20 to go. 2-2 count.

2:14:23 Peyton golfs at it and it's foul.

2:14:27 Every pitch now becomes a race against

2:14:29 the clock. Every swing a race against

2:14:31 time.

2:14:34 Peyton

2:14:36 over to Tiny. NOBODY IS COVERING FIRST

2:14:38 TO JOHNNY. HE'S NOT SAFE OR HE IS SAFE

2:14:41 AND THE CLOWNS WIN THE INNING.

2:14:44 >> [cheering]

2:14:45 >> A DISASTER FOR THE FIREFIGHTERS

2:14:48 and we're going to the eighth all tied

2:14:49 up at two.

2:14:52 >> [cheering]

2:14:53 >> But this will be the final inning.

2:14:56 And so the Firefighters are going to get

2:14:58 the equalizer point.

2:15:02 An inning that started with a four run

2:15:05 gap ends with a Clowns point.

2:15:11 A reverse of fortunes from last night.

2:15:18 Right now, the Firefighters lead in the

2:15:20 trick play column 8-5. The rule book

2:15:22 says that the trick play equalizer point

2:15:25 is always in play unless the game is

2:15:27 shortened by weather, power shortage to

2:15:30 the arena or stadium.

2:15:33 It does not It does say that you can

2:15:37 get the equalizer point with a shortened

2:15:38 game. Here's Katz.

2:15:42 Time limit. This will be our final

2:15:45 inning. The score sits at 3-2

2:15:49 Firefighters. The Firefighters need just

2:15:52 three outs to secure the victory.

2:15:55 MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA,

2:15:58 THIS IS IT.

2:16:00 >> [groaning]

2:16:03 [cheering]

2:16:25 >> SO, THE EQUALIZER point has officially

2:16:27 been issued here.

2:16:29 It is a 3-2 Firefighter lead. That's

2:16:31 where if they would have gotten out of

2:16:32 the inning, they would have had a two

2:16:34 point cushion going into this eighth

2:16:36 inning, which is now

2:16:38 the final inning.

2:16:41 And the Firefighters just have to be

2:16:42 kicking themselves. Had so many

2:16:43 opportunities to get out of the inning.

2:16:46 Had one

2:16:48 in the fifth. Had a couple chances in

2:16:49 the fourth.

2:16:51 Right now, they have won the second and

2:16:52 the third innings. They have put up 22

2:16:55 runs today

2:16:56 and have a 3-2 lead.

2:16:59 Clark Gilmore, trick pitch star,

2:17:02 now really has to work on just getting

2:17:04 out of this inning clean.

2:17:05 And he has been stand up so far this

2:17:07 year. Tyner Hughes, a rocket right back

2:17:09 up the middle.

2:17:11 Tiny just continues

2:17:13 to put barrel on bat.

2:17:17 Second hit of the day.

2:17:21 Grounds it right back up the middle.

2:17:23 Dalton Cornett.

2:17:25 And want to remind you again,

2:17:27 because this is the final inning, every

2:17:28 run counts as a point.

2:17:30 Dalton wanted to make sure that was a

2:17:32 two point homer.

2:17:34 He won't get it.

2:17:36 Every run counts as a point in the final

2:17:37 frame. Tyner Hughes back safe.

2:17:40 Not even close.

2:17:42 One strike.

2:17:45 DC3 looking for that first homer on the

2:17:47 year. Into the stands.

2:17:49 Do the fans have one in them? Nope.

2:17:52 No catch, but it's an 0-2 count.

2:17:54 DC3 really trying to find himself

2:17:58 that power shot.

2:18:00 Had three hits last week in Little Rock.

2:18:02 Just needs a hit here. He'll have to

2:18:04 hope this one doesn't get caught.

2:18:06 And it won't.

2:18:08 Guy in the upper deck really tried to

2:18:10 out of the suite,

2:18:12 but he couldn't hold that one in.

2:18:14 Trick pitch. Cornett live in the left

2:18:17 field. KB barely moves.

2:18:19 And one down.

2:18:27 Remember, both teams also have the

2:18:29 ability to use the golden bat here.

2:18:34 Lacey's had two doubles and he's now

2:18:35 been plunked.

2:18:37 >> [cheering]

2:18:43 >> So, a hit by pitch.

2:18:44 And folks, the man coming up,

2:18:47 Eric Jones Jr. Right off the small of

2:18:49 the back. CHIEF IS HERE.

2:18:52 HELLO, CHIEF.

2:18:53 GOOD BOY. He's grabbed every bat he's

2:18:56 seen so far this year. He is batting

2:18:58 1,000.

2:19:00 >> [cheering]

2:19:01 >> What an effort by that dog. Got the dog

2:19:03 in him. EJ looks at one inside. Two for

2:19:06 three today, a bunch of RBIs. The first

2:19:09 pick for the Firefighters in the Banana

2:19:10 Ball Player Draft was brought in for

2:19:12 reasons like this, for situations like

2:19:15 this.

2:19:16 One through will probably bring home

2:19:17 Logan Lacey. Get one to the track. Who

2:19:20 knows?

2:19:21 By Logan Lacey, I mean Tiner Hughes.

2:19:25 They both wear double number numbers, 11

2:19:26 and 55.

2:19:29 2-1 count.

2:19:32 EJ again inside. Ball four sprint going

2:19:34 to bring in Tiny.

2:19:40 >> [screaming]

2:19:41 >> Maybe nobody better in the situation. A

2:19:42 patient bat,

2:19:44 but one that can put it in play.

2:19:46 EJ [cheering]

2:19:47 out to left field.

2:19:49 KB doesn't move again. And two hits to

2:19:52 left field, Kirkland Banks never moved.

2:19:55 And now Armando Becerra, the third pick

2:19:57 for the Firefighters, with a couple of

2:20:00 hits on his day.

2:20:03 Single and a single.

2:20:05 Has a chance. They got to bring the

2:20:08 runner home.

2:20:09 A 4-2 lead is a heck of a lot better

2:20:11 than 3-2 with the way the Clowns have

2:20:12 hit this week.

2:20:17 It would be truly

2:20:20 disappointing for the Firefighters to

2:20:22 score 22 runs and not be able to get

2:20:24 into the final inning with some level of

2:20:26 comfort.

2:20:29 Again, they've been issued the equalizer

2:20:31 point. That is the reason they have a

2:20:32 3-2 advantage.

2:20:34 Armando stays patient on the outside,

2:20:36 looking for something a little more in.

2:20:37 It's 2-1 count.

2:20:40 Everybody, and I mean everybody,

2:20:45 is on their feet.

2:20:48 This is a massive one for the Banana

2:20:49 Ball Open Standings and it's 3-1.

2:20:52 Clark Gilmore's got to find the strike

2:20:54 zone

2:20:54 or the Firefighters bring in a point.

2:20:59 Logan Lacey looks like he's squaring off

2:21:01 at first going, and Armando big healthy

2:21:03 hack and a miss.

2:21:05 Ultimate payoff pitch coming.

2:21:10 Outside, ball four sprint.

2:21:13 Here comes Tiny. Logan Lacey on his

2:21:16 horse.

2:21:18 He'll stay at third. Jackie Bradley Jr.

2:21:20 with a little trouble

2:21:22 from center, but not much at all. That

2:21:24 is another run for the Firefighters,

2:21:26 their 23rd, and now a quick steal

2:21:29 for Armando to second. What a productive

2:21:32 day the center fielder has had. A ball

2:21:33 four sprint,

2:21:35 a couple of singles, and now [music]

2:21:37 Peanut with six runs, six RBIs. Chief

2:21:39 just got yet another bat. He's awesome.

2:21:41 Peanut could break the record tonight.

2:21:44 Right here.

2:21:45 He's sitting at six RBIs, the record is

2:21:47 six. He takes a strike. 4-2 lead for the

2:21:49 Fighters.

2:21:52 >> [music]

2:21:55 >> Could really use it. Inside, but in the

2:21:57 zone.

2:21:58 0-2.

2:22:02 Clark Gilmore outside behind Peanut with

2:22:05 the trick pitch. Flashes that beautiful

2:22:07 smile.

2:22:09 The 1-2.

2:22:13 Peanut swings and misses, and the

2:22:15 Fighters will strand two in scoring

2:22:17 position.

2:22:19 Chris Burgess throws the ball into the

2:22:20 crowd.

2:22:21 And this is the moment now for the

2:22:23 Firefighters and the Clowns.

2:22:25 Caz Egan, here you go.

2:22:34 Montgomery, I NEED YOU ON YOUR FEET. AND

2:22:39 LET ME HEAR YOU.

2:22:40 >> [screaming]

2:22:42 [cheering]

2:22:50 [cheering]

2:23:02 >> I'VE GOT that lightning inside me, son

2:23:05 of a gun.

2:23:07 I'm like a titan that's rising. Oh, just

2:23:11 you watch.

2:23:13 I'm stepping in the fight.

2:23:16 There is no time to waste. I've got that

2:23:19 lightning inside me.

2:23:21 This is how legends are made.

2:23:32 This is how [music] legends are made.

2:23:43 This is how legends are made.

2:23:48 Returning to the

2:23:53 So, here is the biggest moment

2:23:55 of the year for Johnny Hummel.

2:24:00 The lightning from Lexington has every

2:24:01 chance to settle this one down for the

2:24:04 Fighters.

2:24:05 Gave up two runs

2:24:07 in the last inning.

2:24:08 Might not have been the fairest of

2:24:09 situations for him.

2:24:13 Got the second out, so close to getting

2:24:15 the third.

2:24:16 The Firefighters defense has had some

2:24:18 spectacular plays, but they've also had

2:24:20 some big mistakes that have not fully

2:24:22 helped their offense and their pitching.

2:24:24 In the final inning, can Johnny Hummel

2:24:27 and this defense lock in enough

2:24:29 to get a 4-2 win [music] or just get a

2:24:31 win in general?

2:24:33 They have two points of cushion here.

2:24:36 >> [cheering]

2:24:38 >> They need something to go right their

2:24:40 way here. Johnny Hummel going to get a

2:24:41 couple of warm-up pitches.

2:24:44 The man closed out Kentucky's first ever

2:24:46 trip to the College World Series, and

2:24:48 then closed out their first ever win in

2:24:51 the College World Series.

2:24:54 And oh boy,

2:24:55 >> Ladies and gentlemen, the Indianapolis

2:24:57 Clowns are invoking the golden batter

2:25:00 rule. Stepping batting in place of Brian

2:25:03 Denzler is YOUR GOLDEN BATTER, JOE

2:25:06 >> [screaming]

2:25:08 >> LIDLE.

2:25:10 YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT SITUATIONS.

2:25:13 Joe Lidle

2:25:14 against the team that did not franchise

2:25:17 him

2:25:18 is the golden at bat.

2:25:21 Remember, Secret Peel

2:25:23 hit for the cycle and was a golden at

2:25:26 bat.

2:25:27 Johnny Hummel must [music] now face the

2:25:29 man who caught him last year.

2:25:31 The top of the order is coming up for

2:25:33 the Clowns.

2:25:35 They have been so good in pressure

2:25:36 situations. But Joe swung, missed,

2:25:39 [music]

2:25:39 and he couldn't check that one. It's

2:25:41 0-2.

2:25:47 Hummel trying to get him to chase in the

2:25:49 dirt.

2:25:49 >> [music]

2:25:51 >> Lidle with three hits last night, a big

2:25:53 double here today.

2:25:56 Would like another one. Johnny doesn't

2:25:57 get that one high.

2:26:00 2-2.

2:26:03 The wind is being [music] taken out of

2:26:04 all of us.

2:26:06 Lidle

2:26:07 into left center. Ranging over is Noah

2:26:09 Bridges and he brings it in. One down.

2:26:16 If you're just joining us, the game is

2:26:18 in its final inning. The two hours on

2:26:20 the clock

2:26:22 have disintegrated. They've collapsed.

2:26:24 They've evaporated. They're gone.

2:26:27 So, this is it.

2:26:29 Jaylen Vasquez came up

2:26:30 >> [music]

2:26:30 >> in the final inning last night in a 3-3

2:26:33 game.

2:26:34 You probably know what happened next.

2:26:36 Home run, 4-3, that was your final.

2:26:42 He didn't like that strike call, won't

2:26:44 matter.

2:26:48 Jaylen Vasquez

2:26:50 needs it here. Check to swing, and he

2:26:52 did.

2:26:54 2-1 count.

2:26:55 Johnny Hummel's had some big-time

2:26:57 situations this year.

2:26:59 Can he get something here? Has not had a

2:27:01 chance to really close anything out.

2:27:06 It's ball three.

2:27:08 3-1 count. Hummel needs something here.

2:27:11 Vasquez will take a ball four sprint cuz

2:27:13 the guy coming up next is Jackie Bradley

2:27:15 Jr. and is a ball four sprint.

2:27:19 And that's what hurt the Firefighters a

2:27:20 couple times in this game.

2:27:22 In a game where they have scored 22

2:27:24 runs,

2:27:25 they're on the verge of making this real

2:27:28 interesting. And the guy up on his first

2:27:30 swing of the game

2:27:31 hit a two-run shot to right field.

2:27:40 Jackie Bradley Jr.

2:27:44 has had some massive moments in his

2:27:46 career with the Boston Red Sox. Has had

2:27:48 his first home run today in Banana Ball.

2:27:51 But this, unquestionably, his biggest

2:27:53 spotlight in the sport, and he takes a

2:27:55 ball high.

2:28:04 Hummel needs something. Vasquez taking

2:28:06 off. Swing and miss. Throw down. Peanut

2:28:08 not going to be able to lay the tag, too

2:28:09 high.

2:28:11 Hit and run situation there.

2:28:13 But it's a 1-2 count.

2:28:15 Johnny just needs a fly out or an out.

2:28:18 Just something to give him

2:28:20 a little cushion.

2:28:22 It's a 4-2 game.

2:28:25 Jackie just stays alive.

2:28:28 Off the tip of the bat.

2:28:35 >> [cheering]

2:28:36 [screaming]

2:28:38 >> Vasquez at second.

2:28:40 JBJ

2:28:42 to center field. Mondo got a beat on it.

2:28:47 Jaylen Vasquez tagging up.

2:28:49 He will get to third. Mondou couldn't

2:28:51 get it in time. Runner in scoring

2:28:52 position, but there are two away.

2:28:55 But how about this? Maybe the most

2:28:57 talented player in the Banana Ball

2:28:59 player draft, Jackie Bradley Jr.,

2:29:01 >> [cheering]

2:29:01 >> is up to the plate. Bobby La Day, the

2:29:03 man could not get out last night. Was

2:29:05 two for three with a hit by pitch.

2:29:08 He's got power and one swing could

2:29:11 equalize this thing up. But Johnny

2:29:13 Hummell

2:29:14 is lightning for a reason. Strike one

2:29:16 swinging.

2:29:18 Bobby struck out the last time he came

2:29:20 up to bat.

2:29:21 What happens now?

2:29:24 0-1.

2:29:28 Johnny thought it'd be 0-2.

2:29:30 1-1 the count.

2:29:33 Ball four sprint would make it a

2:29:34 one-point game.

2:29:37 Bobby, Peanut!

2:29:39 The throw over TO FIRST AND THE

2:29:41 FIREFIGHTERS SURVIVE!

2:29:44 THE MADNESS COMES TO MONTGOMERY,

2:29:46 >> [cheering]

2:29:46 >> BUT IN A 23-RUN

2:29:49 performance from the Fighters, they win

2:29:51 it 4-2 and Savannah just split

2:29:55 in Alabama.

2:29:58 >> [cheering]

2:29:59 >> That collective [music]

2:30:00 sigh of relief you hear is coming from

2:30:03 the Fire Department.

2:30:05 And because of the equalizer point,

2:30:08 the Firefighters in a shortened game

2:30:11 win it 4-2 and give them fire.

2:30:20 >> [music]

2:30:27 [music]

2:30:31 [cheering]

2:30:32 >> Awesome.

2:30:34 Awesome weekend

2:30:36 in our return to one of the first cities

2:30:38 of Banana Ball. The final 4-2

2:30:42 and the Firefighters

2:30:44 somehow,

2:30:46 some way

2:30:47 find a way to win. The Indianapolis

2:30:50 Clowns

2:30:51 again in a tight one right down to the

2:30:55 final frame,

2:30:56 but the Firefighters able to survive and

2:30:59 advance, if you want to use some March

2:31:01 Madness lingo. They now sit at three and

2:31:03 four and that's an oh so important

2:31:06 record,

2:31:07 especially for the Banana Ball Open

2:31:08 standings. And what a game it was. 23

2:31:11 runs of offense for the Fighters. 20

2:31:14 hits. By far their most explosive

2:31:16 performance maybe in team history, but

2:31:18 the guy

2:31:19 who took the show

2:31:21 was Peanut, Kaden Green, the guy from

2:31:23 Auburn and he's with Maddie. Hey, an

2:31:25 absolutely insane offensive showing for

2:31:29 the Firefighters today and at the center

2:31:30 of it all, the man who is the go-to for

2:31:32 the M&M walk-ups, got the last out of

2:31:34 the game, Kaden Peanut Green. Peanut,

2:31:37 what were you seeing at the plate today?

2:31:39 Uh honestly, I just saw my boys get

2:31:41 after it early and uh you know, we were

2:31:43 all rolling, so it wasn't just me. Uh

2:31:45 all the guys came out with the sticks

2:31:46 hot and uh yeah, gave me the confidence

2:31:48 to go out there and do my thing, so.

2:31:50 Hey, showman of the game, I'm going to

2:31:51 give you your moment, okay? Six RBI,

2:31:54 four runs scored, both tied for Banana

2:31:56 Ball records, three-run home run. The

2:31:58 numbers actually keep going, so I don't

2:32:00 even have time to keep them going. But

2:32:02 what can you say about how this team

2:32:04 rallied from last night into [music]

2:32:06 breaking a run scored record in a Banana

2:32:08 Ball game today? Yeah, you know, last

2:32:10 one last one was a tough one, but that's

2:32:12 the thing about Banana Ball, you shake

2:32:13 it off, go the next day, come with more

2:32:15 energy, keep bringing the energy. Uh my

2:32:17 guys have my back the whole time, so

2:32:18 shoutout to everybody, all my guys. The

2:32:20 most important thing, FIREFIGHTERS DUB,

2:32:22 BABY.

2:32:24 WHAT ARE THE Firefighters doing next

2:32:25 after this? What can we expect for next

2:32:26 weekend? Uh I just want the people to

2:32:28 know what WE

2:32:29 WE HAVE GOOD OFFENSE.

2:32:31 YEAH.

2:32:33 NERVOUS? YOU'RE NOT READY.

2:32:35 HEY, you heard it here, the barks, the

2:32:37 words, all of it. Kaden, I've got one

2:32:38 last question for you from Claire. She's

2:32:40 nine. Hard-hitting question, okay? She

2:32:42 wants to know

2:32:44 what you would be like as an old man.

2:32:46 What I would be like as an old man? Uh I

2:32:48 could see myself in a nice recliner, you

2:32:50 know, rocking back and forth, probably

2:32:52 watching some Banana Ball. Uh hopefully

2:32:54 have a dog like Chief right next to me,

2:32:56 so.

2:32:56 >> [laughter]

2:32:57 >> Hey, long live Banana Ball, right? The

2:32:58 Firefighters were insane tonight, you

2:33:01 guys. Anaheim next weekend, it's going

2:33:02 TO BE CRAZY.

2:33:06 PEANUT POWER is real.

2:33:08 Maddie, thank you so much. Kaden Green

2:33:11 was awesome today. Let me just tell you

2:33:12 what his stat line was. Three for three,

2:33:15 home run, two doubles,

2:33:17 absolutely tore the cover off the ball,

2:33:18 six RBI.

2:33:21 He just was incredible. Four runs, both

2:33:24 of those, by the way, six RBI [music]

2:33:26 and four runs tied single-game records

2:33:28 for players. But this game had

2:33:30 everything offensively you [music] could

2:33:31 ask for. 34 combined runs. That shatters

2:33:36 the Banana Ball record. The

2:33:37 Firefighters, 23 runs, shatters the

2:33:40 record. I believe these two teams

2:33:42 combined [music] for the most hits in a

2:33:44 single game, 20 to 15.

2:33:47 Let me do the math for you. It's 35.

2:33:51 What could these two teams not do? Maybe

2:33:54 the the pitching [music] and the trick

2:33:55 plays. We'll talk about them at a later

2:33:57 date.

2:33:58 But goodness gracious, what an offensive

2:34:00 masterclass from both of these two

2:34:02 teams. Peanut, that stat line [music] is

2:34:05 incredible. I'm not sure he will ever

2:34:07 feel as much in the flow state as he did

2:34:09 today. Three for three with two two fair

2:34:11 ball for sprints, three-run homer in the

2:34:13 second,

2:34:13 >> [music]

2:34:14 >> four runs scored and six RBI. He was

2:34:16 incredible. 22 runs, 12 hits, 34 of them

2:34:20 batters. Shatters records.

2:34:22 35 hits and the score was 4-2.

2:34:25 Does it get any more Banana [music] Ball

2:34:27 than that? Oh, by the way, we didn't get

2:34:29 to the ninth inning.

2:34:30 That's just the most quintessential

2:34:32 Banana Ball that you could possibly

2:34:34 find. We welcome you back up here inside

2:34:36 the Dispatch Center at Dabo Stadium.

2:34:38 Man, I

2:34:39 what do you say about a game like that?

2:34:41 It was fire. It was a circus act.

2:34:44 Times it was hard to predict.

2:34:46 But that's the beauty of Banana Ball

2:34:48 right there. Peanut, our showman of the

2:34:50 night, it could have been a handful of

2:34:51 anybody. There were so many RBI. There

2:34:53 were so many hits. There were so [music]

2:34:55 many explosive plays. Lamar Sparks gets

2:34:57 his first Banana Ball home run. Jackie

2:34:59 Bradley Jr., second walk-off and his

2:35:02 first home run.

2:35:04 Are you kidding me?

2:35:06 Right here in Montgomery. Right here in

2:35:08 one of the first cities of this show.

2:35:10 One of the OG cities in Banana Ball.

2:35:13 I I simply cannot believe what just

2:35:15 happened here this weekend. Just unreal.

2:35:18 And we're still not done this weekend

2:35:20 because the Coconuts and the Bananas are

2:35:21 currently I believe they're playing in

2:35:23 San Diego right now. Time has gotten

2:35:25 away from me. Time is relative. But

2:35:27 look, next week

2:35:29 the show's not done. We just keep going.

2:35:32 For the Firefighters, they go out to

2:35:34 Scottsdale, Arizona, their first trip to

2:35:36 Marshall Shields' home state for a

2:35:37 weekend with the Texas Tailgaters. My

2:35:40 friend [music] Brett Loftis and I will

2:35:41 be with you. 7:00 Eastern time first

2:35:43 pitch here on the Firefighters YouTube

2:35:45 page. That's next Saturday. Would love

2:35:47 to join you there. Also, Coconuts Party

2:35:49 Animals, they're going to be in Conway,

2:35:51 South Carolina.

2:35:53 They'll start

2:35:54 a little bit later.

2:35:56 Love to join you. By the way, Scottsdale

2:35:58 is the Texas Tailgaters and the

2:35:59 Firefighters, they'll start at 10:00

2:36:00 p.m. Eastern [music] time. Conway is the

2:36:02 Coconuts and Party Animals, they'll

2:36:03 start regular time on the East Coast.

2:36:05 And then the Clowns and Bananas in

2:36:06 Anaheim, Disneyland. The Clowns make

2:36:08 their first trip out to the show. They

2:36:10 get to meet Mickey Mouse and they'll

2:36:11 play a couple of games against the

2:36:13 Bananas out on the suburbs of Los

2:36:15 Angeles. We just go everywhere. We take

2:36:17 over every time zone here in Banana

2:36:20 Ball. Three-game [music] slate all next

2:36:22 Saturday. Looking forward to seeing you

2:36:23 guys there next weekend. I'm

2:36:26 absolutely out of breath. I ate [music]

2:36:28 a biscuit. There is still actually part

2:36:30 of a biscuit left. I'm not lying to you.

2:36:32 This game took a lot from me. It did not

2:36:34 take this this biscuit. So, I'm probably

2:36:36 [music] going to finish that here in a

2:36:37 minute. Might have to go find a

2:36:39 microwave.

2:36:40 The Firefighters were in a microwave

2:36:41 today and so were the Clowns. 15 hits,

2:36:43 17 last night. They were incredible and

2:36:45 this weekend was incredible. I want to

2:36:47 shoutout our incredible team led by our

2:36:48 producer, Emerson Elmgrn. Awesome return

2:36:51 for her to the production booth for the

2:36:52 first time since last August and she

2:36:54 killed it. Unbelievable job. Chris

2:36:55 Haines is always directing this [music]

2:36:57 thing back home in Savannah. He was

2:36:58 spectacular. Garrett De Clue down there

2:37:01 calling the shots on the field. Show

2:37:03 caller, the former visitor and

2:37:04 firefighter now calling the show.

2:37:06 Calling the shots on the field, how

2:37:07 about it? Our official stats keeper

2:37:08 today, the wonderful Blake O'Hare. We

2:37:10 will see you next week in Scottsdale.

2:37:13 I'm going to need a couple of days

2:37:14 [music] to rest up and figure out what

2:37:15 in the world just happened, but the

2:37:16 Firefighters find a way to split the

2:37:18 weekend with the Indianapolis Clowns.

2:37:20 They win it 4-2, scored 22 runs. One of

2:37:23 the best historical performances we will

2:37:24 ever see from the Firefighters,

2:37:26 certainly up to this point in the team's

2:37:27 history. So, from all of us here at BTV,

2:37:29 [music]

2:37:30 from Maddie Warren down on the field who

2:37:31 is probably still getting mobbed by the
