📝 Full transcript (3744 segments)

0:10 It's round two. Electric booaloo between

0:13 the Savannah Bananas and the

0:14 Indianapolis Clowns. Live from Angel

0:17 Stadium in Anaheim, California. Coming

0:20 on the heels of a 3-1 Nanners win last

0:22 night, the Clowns get to be the home

0:24 team in a big league park for the first

0:26 time in franchise history as they look

0:28 to their first rounder Carell Prime to

0:30 turn the tides. While the Bananas

0:32 counter with their first round draft

0:34 pick, Austin Drury, who is off to a

0:36 terrific start to his rookie campaign

0:38 and hunts a second straight Bananas

0:40 series sweep tonight. It all goes down

0:43 in the Big A. Over 45,000 fans on hand

0:46 to see the 7 and1 Savannah Bananas. The

0:49 best team in the sport take on the 2

0:51 and6 Indianapolis Clowns who are still

0:54 in the hunt to make the Banana Ball Open

0:57 in just three weeks time as we welcome

1:00 you inside. Josh Tipsky, Bo Scala. Happy

1:03 Saturday night in virtual Banana Land.

1:05 One game already under our belts. The

1:07 Loco Beach Coconuts 3-1 victors over the

1:10 party animals on the other side of the

1:12 country in Conway, South Carolina. And

1:14 the Nanners, as I mentioned earlier, 3-1

1:16 victors last night against the Clowns.

1:18 Yeah, it was very much a pitcher school

1:19 through the first five innings of play

1:21 last night. And it really came down to

1:23 which team was going to minimize the

1:25 mistakes on the diamond. The Bananas

1:28 experience clearly prevailed. That's

1:30 what helped propel them to a 3 to1

1:32 victory. But the Indianapolis Clowns

1:35 have the advantage tonight getting to

1:36 play as that home team. It is certainly

1:39 a tall task for them, but a very fun

1:42 challenge as again the offense for

1:44 Indianapolis has been fantastic for the

1:46 most part this year. We were only on the

1:48 Bananas YouTube channel last night.

1:50 Tonight, we welcome in everybody on the

1:51 ESPN app and Disney Plus. So, for folks

1:54 who may not have seen, this is how it

1:56 went down an evening ago. Two pitches

1:58 in. Noah Nisnick getting a trick play.

2:00 Jackson Olsen fielded and flipped

2:02 between the legs. And how about just

2:03 three pitches later, JBJ high pop behind

2:06 the back catch. Dr. Meadows and then

2:08 Nisnik takes care of the third out

2:09 himself. In the bottom half of the

2:11 inning, Maxim Goldberg would come up for

2:13 the bananas and fly into the first trick

2:15 plan of the night for the Indianapolis

2:17 Clowns, courtesy of Joe Gray Jr. Then

2:19 David Griffin gets the punch up. Punch

2:22 out scoreless through one. And how about

2:24 this? Griffin and Nisnik continuing to

2:26 trade zeros. A strike out of Bill Loy.

2:30 And then Jackson Olsson, next batter

2:31 pops. This inbound territory. Chris

2:34 Burgess tries to go behind the back.

2:36 Instead, it is a tip to Guell Prime and

2:39 a trick play nonetheless for the Clouds,

2:42 albeit an adventurous one. Yeah, the

2:44 first in Chris Burgess's Banana Ball

2:46 career. Two on, nobody out. Make it one

2:49 now. Make it two. Dr. Meadows, his third

2:51 trick play of the ball game. Make it

2:53 three. Reese Alexi, his second trick

2:56 play of the ball game. As Nisnik escapes

2:58 a little bit of a sticky situation.

3:00 David Griffin continues to deal in the

3:02 bottom half. Alexiatis and Young

3:04 Goldberg both down swinging. David

3:06 Griffin fired up leaving the mound.

3:08 Nisnik continuing to deal in the fourth

3:10 inning. He would go three and two/3

3:12 scoreless four strikeouts. And then

3:13 Kelsey Whitmore gets the fifth trick

3:15 play. Well, actually that's number four

3:17 of the night for David Meadows and

3:19 Griffin with some help from his defense.

3:21 Eli Payton, his eighth trick play in as

3:23 many games.

3:23 >> Yeah, it was a trick play show to open

3:25 up the ball game. Now in the fifth

3:27 inning, Derek Cla on the mound and Dr.

3:29 Meadows a backflip catch for his fifth

3:32 trick play of the ball game. Now bottom

3:34 five, David Griffin still munching on

3:37 the pitcher mound. Robert Anthony Cruz

3:39 though. Oh, he's going to be able to

3:41 reach on a costly miss trick play from

3:44 Joe Gray in left field and then Danny

3:46 Hosley would draw the ball for sprint to

3:48 put the Nanners up 1. Connor Harris in

3:51 for the top of the sixth inning. Super

3:53 resili tornado catch for his third trick

3:56 play of the ball game. And then Dakota

3:57 Stilts Albert Britain coming in with a

3:59 man on against Jaylen Vasquez. A big leg

4:03 kick line out to Jackson Olsen. Stilts

4:05 does his job. Clark Gilmore got two

4:07 quick outs. Bottom of the sixth, but

4:08 then a pass ball on Burgess. Reese Lexi

4:11 heads up. Great banana ball IQ. That's

4:13 his second steal of first on the year

4:15 and just two pitches later, Max Young

4:17 Goldberg sneaks it between wholeizer and

4:19 JBJ. Little miscommunication in right

4:22 center. Super Reese can really fly. He

4:24 scores from first. Just like that, it's

4:26 two-nil. But the Clowns bats would start

4:28 to come alive in the top of the seventh.

4:30 Nico Holesizer draws the ball for

4:32 Sprint, putting a run on the board for

4:33 the Clowns. And then Carell Prime, the

4:36 former Rocky's Farmhand, a two out,

4:38 two-run single for the Indianapolis

4:41 Clowns. They would earn their first

4:43 point of the ball game in the seventh,

4:45 but Grant Besser in the bananas in the

4:47 top of the eighth would hold serve. Ryan

4:49 Cox collecting the trick play and

4:51 keeping it a 2-1 game. Yeah, best are

4:53 able to strand a pair there and it sets

4:55 up Ty Jackson his first plate appearance

4:57 of the night coming off the bench. He

4:59 singles and with two outs Dr. Meadows

5:01 his second hit of the evening, his third

5:03 walk off of the tour. A big piece of

5:06 insurance with Tai adding some fun at

5:08 the end of it and then Danny Hosley time

5:10 in the ninth with two runs to work with.

5:13 That would be plenty. KJ behind the back

5:15 trick play on the first pitch of the

5:17 ninth inning. Jackie Bradley Jr. his

5:19 first ever golden batter appearance as a

5:20 clown. He actually was the golden batter

5:22 last year in Fenway Park for the

5:23 bananas. Broken bat on the Vulcan change

5:26 rack there for the fly ball. And then

5:27 after a prime double, Hosley gets the

5:30 strike out of Dale Francis Jr. Beautiful

5:34 Vulcan change up. Nanners improve to

5:36 seven and one and have won three

5:38 straight. When we return, we're going to

5:40 have a thrill, absolutely thrilling

5:43 recap of the bananas and clowns at

5:45 Disney.

6:01 Co. This is a moment that you will never

6:08 remember.

6:10 Anaheim, give it up one more time for

6:12 our banana baby,

6:15 Coa.

6:24 It did that for the clowns. We here,

6:26 baby.

6:28 Clowning around. We could teach you a

6:31 thing or two.

6:33 You ain't seen nobody play the game the

6:36 way we do.

6:38 >> Yeah, everybody here should know who we

6:40 are. And if you don't, we'll educate on

6:42 how we laid it this far. It started way

6:44 back in the 30s with a bat and a ball.

6:45 And now we selling out our stadium. The

6:47 crowd's watching all.

6:48 >> Oh man. But that was always part of the

6:50 plan. You know the place of all to bring

6:52 the happiness to the fans in the United

6:56 where we cracking it. We call ourselves

6:57 the clowns because we love to make you

6:59 laugh.

7:00 >> Almost called it technical foul.

7:01 Apologies. We get this way when we start

7:03 feeling our sound. It's all when we

7:06 start clowning around. If you didn't

7:07 catch the name, we'll help with spelling

7:09 it out. I N I A N A P O L S. So hey

7:15 >> tell your favorite team that we ain't

7:16 come to play.

7:17 >> We came to light the place all up and

7:19 make the cross. Hey to

7:21 >> started in the lead when it was hard

7:23 sweat tears

7:24 >> and blood we bleed with the odds back

7:26 against

7:28 we turn the weight of the world into

7:29 some joy you can keep the crowd

7:31 >> segregated

7:35 to play wild and free time we take the

7:37 field we making history. Let's

7:41 go

7:43 around. We can teach you a thing or two.

7:52 >> Welcome back to Banana Ball Live on the

7:54 ESPN app, Disney Plus, and as always,

7:56 the Savannah Bananas YouTube channel

7:59 from Angel Stadium. We're just a few

8:01 minutes away from first pitch between

8:03 the Clowns and the Bananas. But let's

8:05 take a look. two days ago. These two

8:08 teams that will be squaring off again

8:09 tonight in the Big A dancing in front of

8:12 the castle in Disneyland in iconic

8:15 followup to the bananas and firefighters

8:17 dancing in the very same spot a year

8:19 ago. Yeah. And you got to see Mickey,

8:21 Donald, Goofy, Clarabel all joining in

8:24 on the fun as well. It didn't just stop

8:26 at the Magic Kingdom, though. The

8:28 Bananas and Clowns also getting to

8:30 perform at California Adventure. Two

8:32 performances across the day. It was so

8:35 cool to see Derek Glenna, Brandon

8:37 Jarius, so many talented performers out

8:40 there performing with the Banana Ball

8:43 and Split got to make a historic

8:45 appearance. The first non-D Disney

8:46 mascot to ever get to dance in the park.

8:49 Let's take a look at what Josh and I got

8:50 to do in Cars Land. Welcome to the

8:53 inaugural Banana Ball Piston Cup with

8:55 Josh Tleski, Bo Scallow. We've got the

8:57 Indianapolis Clowns against the Savannah

8:59 Bananas. No time to waste. Let's see the

9:01 race. Ty Jackson driving for the

9:03 bananas. Malachi Mitchell for the

9:05 clowns. He's got the same kind of motto

9:07 as Lightning McQueen. Speed. He is

9:09 speed. You got the home state kid. Max

9:12 Young Goldberg in there. He knows how to

9:14 drive on these roads in California. Kai

9:16 Jackson. He gets to lean on an 8-year

9:18 banana in Dan over. That is some sage

9:20 guidance he's got. Don't forget Kobe

9:23 Robinson minor league ball an hour down

9:25 the road. Here's the final stretch.

9:27 Anybody could take it. Who's going to

9:30 pull it out? Oh, what a finish. The

9:32 Indianapolis Clowns victorious. Well,

9:35 the big goal for the Clowns going into

9:36 this race, float like a Cadillac, sting

9:39 like a beamer, and they clearly

9:40 accomplish that. Kachchow. What a win

9:43 for the clowns. Congratulations to those

9:45 boys. Until the next one, we will see

9:47 you later.

9:53 >> That was a ton of fun and a special day

9:56 for Josh and I, our entire crew. But

9:58 maybe the most special of all, how about

10:01 Derek Clenna getting to live more of his

10:04 theater boy dreams. Let's hear from the

10:06 man himself,

10:09 >> guys. Here with Bananas pitcher Derek

10:11 Clenna, who knows a thing or two about

10:12 living in the best of both worlds. In

10:14 fact, Derek, you could argue you grew up

10:16 in the best of both worlds just down the

10:18 road from this ballpark here as well as

10:20 Disneyland. How did that play into kind

10:23 of what your formative years would be?

10:26 Yeah, you know, I grew up going to this

10:27 park, so being here at Angel Stadium is

10:29 very uh very sentimental to me. My dad

10:32 had season tickets through his work off

10:34 and on growing up. And so this was our

10:35 this was our home grounds. And then

10:36 Disney, honestly, Disney movies, I was I

10:38 was a baby of the '90s. Lot lot of these

10:41 early uh early 2000 babies on the team,

10:43 and I'm I'm one of the older jocks here.

10:45 And uh so early 90s, you know, I was

10:47 into Hunchback of Notream, Hercules, all

10:50 these movies that kind of really

10:51 influenced my love for music and made me

10:53 want to pursue music moving forward. My

10:55 mom noticed that uh myself and my sister

10:57 and my younger brother had a good ear

10:58 for music through these movies that

11:00 really like were transformative for us.

11:02 And so uh and every year my grandparents

11:04 would get us season tickets to season

11:06 tickets uh year passes to Disneyland. Uh

11:10 and so yeah, it was a part of our life

11:11 growing up. It was such a special place.

11:13 So to get to be here in this uniform on

11:16 this field and also having a Disney day

11:18 the other day, it was it was really a

11:19 surreal moment. And now I have a three

11:21 and a one-year-old. I have two little

11:22 boys and so to get to share these like

11:24 sentimental parts of myself with them is

11:26 just like it's a dream come true. I have

11:28 so many pinch me moments already on this

11:29 team.

11:31 >> Derek, having, you know, performed at

11:33 Disneyland for thousands just the other

11:35 day coming out here performing and

11:37 playing in front of a soldout crowd

11:39 here, are you able to say what was

11:42 better? Can you decide between the two?

11:44 Is that possible?

11:46 >> They're so different in a lot of ways.

11:48 you know, when I'm out here performing

11:49 and singing and then getting on the

11:51 mount, I don't think you can I don't

11:52 think you can create a more a bigger

11:53 spotlight. Um, which is a gift and a

11:56 curse. You know, you're getting your So,

11:58 it's a little stressful. So, I

12:00 definitely prefer uh being with my being

12:03 with my dudes, having my back and uh and

12:06 being in the happiest place on earth. I

12:07 mean, being surrounded by that love in a

12:09 place that I was so familiar with,

12:10 that's the cool part. It's like I know

12:11 the park like the back of my hand. So,

12:12 to get to be there performing uh with

12:15 this crowd and with my dudes, it was uh

12:17 dream come true. Uh but I'll take both.

12:19 I mean, throw any and all things my way

12:21 and and so far the bananas have and I'm

12:23 here for it.

12:25 >> Well, Derek continues to live the best

12:27 of both worlds. We saw him on the mound

12:28 last night. You're going to see him all

12:30 over the field tonight. Bo Josh, let's

12:32 keep this thing going.

12:36 >> The official stats on the weekend. I've

12:38 got nine songs sung by Derek Clenna, two

12:41 pitches thrown, one backflip catch

12:43 induced. When we return, we're talking

12:45 with the Indianapolis Clowns and Dion

12:47 Reynoso.

13:16 Shadows.

13:28 Hey,

13:32 >> what's up? Tell the world. Yo yo yo yo

13:35 yo yo yo. How you feeling?

13:39 >> Well, you ready to see something? Do you

13:41 want to see the original face?

13:47 >> Well, we got plenty of that coming your

13:48 way cuz we like to clown around all day.

13:51 So, get ready to clap those hands and

13:52 stomp those feet because at the end of

13:54 the day, we all need somebody to lift us

13:56 up. You, me, them, everyone.

14:00 >> Everybody

14:02 needs somebody.

14:05 >> Everybody.

14:06 >> Everybody.

14:08 >> Somebody.

14:10 Oh yeah. Someone to love.

14:13 >> A sweetheart of me.

14:15 >> A sweetheart of me.

14:17 >> A sugar kiss. I need you. You. I need

14:22 you. You. You. I need you. You.

14:26 I need more time for the original

14:29 baseball.

14:44 >> Ladies and gentlemen,

14:47 I am bringing some bananas power to the

14:51 plate. His name

14:56 The Indianapolis Clowns looking for a

14:58 series split tonight. Here is what they

15:01 need to do if they can take down the

15:02 Savannah Bananas. It's all about playing

15:04 clear banana ball. The fifth and sixth

15:06 innings were both lost on some errors in

15:09 the field. The hitters, I mean, they got

15:11 to hit. It's pretty simple, right? First

15:12 four guys in the order went 1 for 17

15:14 without a ball for sprint. And you got

15:16 to get to the ninth inning. Two out of

15:18 their three home games have not reached

15:20 the ninth. And that is when they plan to

15:21 have Dion pitch tonight.

15:23 >> Yeah. And again, I mean, the big thing

15:24 was the fact that the first four guys

15:26 were 1 for 17, no ball, four sprints

15:29 between that quartet of players. And

15:32 look, they got Jackie Bradley Jr. and

15:34 two other former minor league guys who

15:36 are occupying three of the four spots in

15:38 the top half of that order. It was very

15:40 surprising to see such a quiet night

15:42 from those individuals. I don't expect

15:44 that to be the case tonight against the

15:46 Savannah Bananas. And we have seen the

15:49 Clowns, the pitching has been a little

15:51 lackluster this season. And that's a big

15:54 reason why two of those three games have

15:56 not reached nine innings. They need the

15:58 arms to control the ball four sprints

16:00 that they allow and work a little faster

16:03 on the mound. The Clowns closer tonight,

16:06 Dion Reynoso, a former Los Angeles

16:08 Angels minor leager. Let's hear what

16:10 it's like pitching in Angel Stadium.

16:15 Hey guys, hanging out here in the Angels

16:17 bullpen with Dian Renoso. This right

16:20 here was a place Diane, you probably

16:22 pictured yourself being at one point in

16:24 time, a part of the Angels organization

16:26 for two years. What's it mean to be here

16:28 now with uh 45,000 of your closest

16:31 friends coming to watch you?

16:32 >> I mean, it feels so much to me. You

16:34 know, I played for this team for two

16:36 years and and I only dreamed of being in

16:38 this stadium and and pitching this

16:40 stadium. I've uh seen games here but

16:42 never played here. So just super excited

16:44 for that.

16:46 >> Now Dian, it's your first time playing

16:47 against the Bananas as a part of Banana

16:49 Bowl, but you actually played against

16:51 them in the Coastal Plane League and the

16:53 last time you played again with the

16:55 Spartan Burgers. You actually got them

16:57 to only win that season. Do you have any

16:59 memory of that game or are you going to

17:01 use that mentality to go beat them

17:03 again?

17:04 >> That's right. I mean, I've done it

17:06 before, so I'm ready for it this time.

17:09 Now, your brother, of course, was

17:10 actually on that team. Was he a little

17:13 bit of the motivation to say, "Hey, why

17:14 don't you come over, try this kind of

17:16 banana ball thing out?"

17:18 >> I mean, for sure. Yeah. I mean, he told

17:20 me all about banana ball and and uh I

17:22 didn't want to miss out on it. So, I had

17:24 to I had to get over here. So, yeah.

17:26 >> What's the dream situation for you

17:28 tonight? Hopefully coming in to close

17:30 out a game.

17:31 >> That's right. That's do my job and close

17:33 the game. Get the W. Well, Diane, I'm

17:36 going to enjoy this with you as we hang

17:38 out with 45,000 fans here tonight in

17:40 Angel Stadium and we get to see this guy

17:42 take the mound where he long dreamed to

17:43 be and certainly deserves to be. Bo

17:46 Josh,

17:50 thank you SB. Always awesome getting to

17:52 hear from Dion Reynosa. When we return,

17:55 we'll be talking about Banana Ball.

17:57 Can't wait for it.

18:07 catch a foul ball in this game. It

18:09 counts for an out. And the first fan to

18:12 catch a foul ball tonight wins free

18:15 Dairy Queen for their entire row. And

18:18 those are the rules of Banana Ball.

18:21 >> Ladies and gentlemen, direct your

18:22 attention down that right field line.

18:24 Let's meet the cast of your Savannah.

18:45 If you would love some gold beans,

18:48 Anaheim, I need everybody here to make

18:52 some noise. Woo!

19:11 Heat!

19:17 Heat.

19:38 Heat.

20:07 Welcome back to Banana Ball live from

20:09 Angel Stadium. A quick look at a wild

20:13 finish to our home run hitter. Let's get

20:15 the rules that turn baseball into banana

20:17 ball.

20:18 >> The name of the game is banana ball. And

20:21 this is the fastest, most entertaining

20:23 game in sports. Rule number one, win the

20:26 inning, win the point. If you score the

20:28 most runs in an inning, you get a point.

20:31 The most points wins the game. If the

20:34 away team has more trick plays going

20:36 into the final inning, they will earn

20:38 the equalizer point. And in the last

20:40 inning of banana ball, every run counts

20:43 as a point. Rule number two, there is a

20:46 2hour time limit. No new inning can

20:49 start when the clock hits zero. Rule

20:52 number three, if you step out of the

20:54 batters box, it is a strike. Rule number

20:57 four, no bunting. If you bunt, you're

21:00 thrown out of the game. Rule number

21:02 five, batters can steal first. Rule

21:04 number six, no walks allowed. It becomes

21:07 a ball for sprint. until every position

21:10 player touches the ball. Rule number

21:12 seven, no mound visits.

21:15 Nope. Rule number eight, if a fan

21:17 catches a foul ball, it is an out. In

21:19 Banana Ball, everything's in play, so

21:21 you better be ready. Rule number nine,

21:23 the showdown tiebreaker. If the game is

21:26 tied at the end of nine innings or when

21:28 time expires, it is pitcher versus

21:30 hitter with one fielder, and the hitter

21:33 has to score. Rule number 10, the banana

21:36 ball challenge rule. You, the fans, have

21:38 the opportunity to challenge a ruling on

21:40 the field. Rule number 11, the golden

21:42 batter rule. A team can send out any

21:44 batter to hit in any spot in the lineup.

21:47 This is guaranteeing the best possible

21:49 matchup at the end of the game when it

21:51 matters most. These are the official

21:53 rules of Banana Ball.

21:57 Let's zero in on rule number one. This

22:00 is the backbone of our sport. Win the

22:02 inning, get the point. Every single

22:04 inning is worth one point. Team that

22:06 gets the most runs gets the point for

22:08 that inning. Final inning rules. That's

22:10 where things get crazy. Every single run

22:13 scored counts as a point. And of course,

22:15 that means the home team advantage is a

22:17 little more significant in banana ball

22:19 than baseball.

22:19 >> Yeah, that's exactly right. If the

22:21 Bananas are scoreless in the top half of

22:23 the inning, the Clowns then score run

22:25 thanks to a home run from their first

22:26 batter. Inning's over. The Clowns are up

22:29 one point to nothing. And on the bananas

22:31 side to understand for the visitors,

22:33 even if the Bananas score five runs in

22:35 the top of an inning, the Clowns then

22:37 score zero in the bottom half. It is

22:39 still just one point for the Savannah

22:41 Bananas. Keeps the game very close all

22:43 the way to that final inning when every

22:45 run counts for a point. And you see the

22:47 Bananas 33 points earned this season.

22:50 That is the top mark amongst the six

22:52 teams in the Banana Ball Championship

22:54 League. But for the Indianapolis Clowns,

22:56 they've earned just 18 this season. That

22:59 is the lowest mark amongst the six

23:01 teams. So you kind of got a really both

23:04 ends of the spectrum at play here

23:05 tonight in Angel Stadium. And it

23:07 shouldn't be that surprising only eight

23:09 games into this Banana Ball Championship

23:11 League. The Nanners are a very veteran

23:13 squad. The Clowns, 20 of their 25

23:15 players are rookies. There is a learning

23:17 curve to this sport. So this has nothing

23:20 about the teams come October. It takes a

23:22 little while to get your feet underneath

23:24 you in Banana Ball.

23:24 >> Yeah. And the Clowns are clearly

23:26 learning that again. and they get the

23:27 big test of playing as that home team.

23:30 Hopefully, if they're able to get those

23:31 scoreless innings in the top half, it

23:33 will set them up for quick walk-offs.

23:36 When we return, we are going to give you

23:39 banana ball first pitch after this.

23:54 Go crazy for you.

23:57 Let's hear it from

24:22 >> Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls and

24:26 potassium enthusiasts from around the

24:28 world. Tonight, you and thousands of

24:31 your friends here live and millions more

24:34 watching at home have gathered here to

24:36 witness something beyond your wildest

24:39 imagination. From Montana to Savannah,

24:44 from the aisle of man to Tokyo, Japan,

24:48 the banana maniacs come from across the

24:50 globe to witness this. This is not

24:54 baseball. This is the Crucible where the

24:57 fastest, hungriest, and most

25:00 entertaining players are forged. This is

25:02 a game of the fans, by the fans, and for

25:07 the fans. But this is not your

25:10 granddad's pastime. This is not just

25:13 another night at the ballpark. This game

25:16 is baseball by birth, fruit by name, and

25:19 an absolute worldwide phenomenon by the

25:22 grace of God. This is the time for all

25:26 45,000

25:27 people here in Anaheim, California to

25:31 get on your feet and give me your voices

25:38 because this is the greatest show in

25:42 sports. Ladies and gentlemen, this is

25:47 Banana B.

25:54 This starting lineup for Savannah,

26:01 center fielder number five, Dr. the Doc

26:06 Meadow.

26:11 The right fielder number two, Reese

26:14 Superman

26:16 Alexi.

26:20 At first base number nine, Max Young

26:24 Goldberg

26:29 in the cleanup spot, the DH number 19,

26:33 Dan Our

26:39 at third base. Number four, Kyle KJ

26:44 Jackson.

26:49 Behind the plate, Numero Uno, the

26:52 captain, Bill

26:56 Roar.

27:00 At second base number eight, he's our

27:03 greatest showman, Jackson.

27:12 The left fielder number 15, we call him

27:15 Rack. Robert Anthony Cruz,

27:23 >> the extra hitter number seven, we call

27:25 him Pokey. Tie 25

27:30 Jackson.

27:34 And at shortstop number six, our glove

27:37 magician, Ryan Cox.

27:43 On the mound for your Savannah Bananas

27:45 tonight, number 11, Austin Drew.

27:53 Your Savannah Bananas are led by Tyler

27:55 Gillum, assisted by Adam Pyro Virant,

27:59 Brian Kell, Bryce Stover, and Reggie

28:03 Horton.

28:28 fans. At this time, we ask that you

28:30 please rise if you're able and remove

28:32 your caps.

28:35 Here to honor America with the singing

28:37 of tonight's national anthem, please

28:40 welcome Michelle Soria.

28:49 Say

28:53 by the dawn early light.

28:58 What so proud we held

29:03 at the twilight

29:05 last gleaming.

29:08 Who's brought stripes and bright stars

29:12 through the perilous?

29:18 Or the ramparts

29:20 we watched

29:22 were so gallently

29:25 streaming.

29:28 And the rockets

29:30 redare,

29:33 the bombs bursting

29:35 in

29:38 gave proof through the night

29:42 that our flag was still there.

29:48 Oh, say does that star spangled

29:53 banner yet

29:59 for the land of the free

30:06 and the home

30:09 of the

30:11 brave.

30:13 Ladies and gentlemen, Michelle Suria.

30:20 >> A tremendous rendition of the national

30:22 anthem. A roar from over 45,000 fans.

30:27 And the Savannah Bananas and the

30:29 Indianapolis Clowns are kicklining for a

30:32 second straight night in Angel Stadium

30:34 here in Anaheim, California. The Nanners

30:38 3-1 victors an evening ago. Now the

30:42 Clowns, the home squad,

30:44 as they look to earn a series split with

30:47 the Bananas hunting a fourth straight

30:49 win as they maintain the best record in

30:52 the Banana Ball Championship League. And

30:54 we welcome you back inside with Josh

30:56 Tipsky. Bo Scalla, thank you for

30:58 spending your Saturday evening with us

31:00 here in virtual Banana Land. Josh,

31:03 cannot wait to see what happens down

31:04 there. Carell Prime attacking his former

31:06 team. Yeah, it's a 2014 Colorado Rockies

31:09 organizational player of the year

31:11 getting a two-way assignment. He's the

31:13 starting pitcher and the designated

31:14 hitter tonight for the Clowns, but he'll

31:16 be opposed by a former Dodgers minor

31:18 leaguer in Austin Drury who's had a

31:21 phenomenal start to his banana ball

31:23 career. This is a fantastic pitching

31:25 matchup dueling number 11s in front of a

31:29 full house here in the Big A. And we'll

31:32 take a look at the Bananas defensive or

31:34 the Clowns defensive alignment rather

31:37 left to right in their outfield. Brian

31:39 Dansro, Jackie Bradley Jr., Nico

31:41 Hollesheiser in the infield. Third to

31:43 first, it's Eli Payton, Bobby Leday,

31:45 Jaylen Vasquez, Dale Francis Jr., Chris

31:48 Burgess is behind the plate and Matt

31:50 Wolf is the designated fielder. Well,

31:52 Bobby Leay is leading the pack as far as

31:54 the Clowns are concerned. 11 trick plays

31:56 is pacing that team. And for the

31:58 Indianapolis Clowns, the biggest thing

32:00 that they're trying to do tonight is

32:02 negate the equalizer point against the

32:04 Bananas. As long as they have more trick

32:08 plays than the Bananas going into the

32:10 final inning of play, they will keep

32:12 Savannah from earning an extra point in

32:15 this ball game. And again, Leeday,

32:16 Vasquez, Payton, they are the key guys

32:19 they'll need to lean on. In the middle

32:20 of it all with three trick plays here in

32:23 his third world tour is Carell Prime.

32:26 The pride of Bradenton, Florida, Optimus

32:28 Prime, Prime Time, Amazon Prime,

32:31 whatever you want to call him. He's one

32:32 of the best athletes in the sport. After

32:34 seven years of minor league baseball,

32:36 seven more years of independent

32:38 professional baseball, he finds himself

32:41 in Banana Land. A firstrounder for the

32:43 Clowns.

32:43 >> Yeah, this is start number three for

32:45 Carell Prime with the Indianapolis

32:47 Clowns. last season as a Savannah

32:48 Banana. Made eight starts, had a 6.26

32:52 ERA and a 4minute and 32 second minutes

32:55 per inning mark in those starts in 2025.

32:59 He also was one of four pitchers to

33:01 induce 100 or more trick plays a season

33:03 ago. He'll try and do that again tonight

33:05 for the Clowns. Prime Time was at first

33:08 base last night. Gets the ball from the

33:10 get-go this evening and a fearsome

33:12 lineup opposes him. Dr. Meadows at the

33:14 top hitting 519. best batting average in

33:18 the sport. Behind him, Reese Alexiotis,

33:20 Max Young Goldberg, the cleanup man, the

33:22 DH, Dan Oburst. Then it's KJ, Bill Loy,

33:26 Jackson Olsen, Robert Anthony Cruz, Ty

33:28 Jackson, and Ryan Cox.

33:30 >> Well, Dr. Meadows, he's the ultimate

33:31 table setter. He's on a streak right now

33:33 of three consecutive multi-hit games for

33:36 the Savannah Bananas. And for Max Young

33:38 Goldberg, he's been phenomenal when the

33:40 Bananas have gotten to play as the

33:42 visiting team. a 333 batting average,

33:45 two doubles, and five runs batted in for

33:47 their three-hole hitter. There's only

33:50 one thing left to do before we get first

33:53 pitch for this finale of a twoame set

33:57 between the Clowns and the Bananas. And

33:58 that's sending it to Jesse Cole.

34:00 >> Banana Nation, it is time on three. I

34:03 need everyone here to yell start the

34:05 clock. One, two, three.

34:11 Showtime.

34:14 >> Showtime indeed.

34:17 The 6'5 righty on the bump. The 5'11

34:21 center fielder in the box. Mentioned it

34:24 a moment ago. That 519 batting average,

34:26 best in the sport. Same goes for Dr's 14

34:30 hits. He had a pair of them last night.

34:32 First pitch swinging. It's not going to

34:34 make it out of the infield. Eli Payton

34:36 tip drill. Bobby Leay will clean it up.

34:39 One pitch, one out, one trick play for

34:42 Indianapolis.

34:44 Yeah, that's the exact start that they

34:46 are looking for. And now for Eli Payton.

34:49 Nine trick plays across his first nine

34:52 career banana ball games. I mean, they

34:54 knew that they were getting a stud at

34:56 third base. He's given them everything

34:58 they could have asked for defensively.

35:00 Yeah, he was a finalist to be a gold

35:02 glover last year.

35:06 And how about Reese Alexiata's

35:08 back-to-back nights. He steals first

35:10 base.

35:13 That's his third of the year.

35:16 Nobody else in but Annabal has more than

35:18 one.

35:22 >> It'll be a wild pitch.

35:25 So if Alexi does come around to score

35:28 means it's an earned run on Prime.

35:29 Difference between that being a wild

35:30 pitch and a pass ball on Chris Burgess.

35:33 Last night when Alexi stole first, it

35:36 was a pass ball with Clark Gilmore on

35:38 the mound and Max Young Goldberg. Kid

35:41 out of Palo Alto, California.

35:44 One for three with a double that walked

35:49 off the sixth inning last night. That

35:51 one gets away from Burgess. Alexi up to

35:54 second.

36:00 We're only two plus batters into this

36:01 ball game, but early on the Clowns not

36:04 listening to our keys to the game. You

36:05 got to play clean defense against this

36:08 veteran banana squad. The ball force

36:11 sprint to MJG brings home Super Reese.

36:15 Brian Dancro, the left fielder, the

36:17 seventh and final clown who needed to

36:18 touch that ball before it was live. And

36:21 the Nanners three batters in have a run.

36:23 >> Yeah, and that's a tough start for

36:25 Carell Prime and the Indianapolis

36:27 Clowns. Frustrating to see Alexiatis get

36:29 on after the steel of first base. In

36:32 prime time, he works with sinker and

36:34 slider for the most part. And that

36:37 sinker is driven up the middle and into

36:39 center field for Dan Oburst. Now three

36:43 straight bananas reaching base and

36:45 already a run on the board. And going

36:48 back to Carell Prime, sometimes control

36:50 can elude this guy. In his starts last

36:53 season, he shooted 15 ball four sprints,

36:56 only struck out 13 guys. Everything

36:59 moves that Prime throws as he misses

37:03 with a cutter to Kyle Jackson. He's also

37:05 got a sinker, slider, and changer.

37:08 KJ's numbers dynamite

37:11 through eight games this year.

37:14 You saw the 364 batting average. His 481

37:17 OBP is actually exactly what he finished

37:19 with last year to lead the tour. And

37:23 after fouling out to the fans last

37:25 night, he survives this one into the

37:27 seats.

37:27 >> And he was standing in the left-handed

37:29 batters box waving to the fans, do not

37:32 catch it. I think he got nervous after

37:34 last night. Yeah, with a couple ducks on

37:36 the pond. KJ Hunting the stake windmill

37:39 for Bryce Gafi. He will score. The

37:42 Banana's designated runner comes across.

37:44 Over follows him to third. Two runs now

37:47 as KJ has the RBI.

37:57 >> Rosafi's sixth run scored and now just

38:00 his fourth game as the Banana's

38:02 designated runner.

38:04 >> It's been fantastic filling in for JT

38:06 Sakala. Looks to be back in two to four

38:10 weeks.

38:16 KJ off for second. He will steal it

38:18 without a throw. Got a heck of a jump.

38:23 >> His second stolen base of his third

38:25 World Tour. And Bill Loy with two ducks

38:28 on the pond. Both at scoring position

38:32 as Prime throws to a guy

38:35 he pitched to the vast majority of his

38:39 70 plus innings last year. Bill swinging

38:41 on the 3 0 and it's going to be well

38:43 over the head of Dano. Oburst and Kyle

38:46 Jackson will both come home. Loy takes

38:49 second. A four spot now in the top of

38:51 the first.

38:55 Well, this is something the Savannah

38:56 Bananas have hardly been able to do

38:58 across the last three World Tours. Bat

39:01 as the visiting team and they have made

39:03 the most of getting these extra ABS,

39:06 batting four and five times per game and

39:09 a massive first inning. And that's the

39:10 first extra base hit this season for

39:13 Bill Loy, their captain. Yeah. And Bill

39:16 was one of only two guys last year who

39:18 finished the year with an OPS north of a

39:20 thousand. Just Loy and Jake Skull, the

39:21 MVP. Chris Burgess can't snag it behind

39:24 the back.

39:27 It will only go in the books as a trick

39:28 play missed if Jackson Olsen reaches

39:30 base.

39:36 >> It's unlike an error in that regard.

39:40 Wilson, for his part, was 0 for three

39:42 last night

39:45 >> here in his fourth World Tour. Screamer

39:47 straight to Dale Francis Jr.

39:50 >> A barrel and nothing to show for it for

39:52 the grade eight

39:57 as Robert Anthony Cruz digs in.

40:02 Go for two last night. Worked a ball for

40:05 Sprint. He fouled out to the fans.

40:09 How about KJ and Rack? The only two guys

40:11 in the ball game to be retired by the

40:14 crowd.

40:14 >> And and it's the two arguably the two

40:16 most popular Savannah Bananas. I mean,

40:18 you could also put Jackson Olsen in that

40:20 equation.

40:21 >> No doubt. He's certainly It's a big

40:22 three when it comes to the Savannah

40:24 Bananas and the sport of banana ball.

40:28 A ball and two strikes on rack. The

40:30 Nanners have played at four. In their

40:32 3-1 victory last night, they only scored

40:34 three runs.

40:36 They've already got one more

40:40 >> foul ball not caught as it bounces

40:43 around behind home plate.

40:45 >> Souvenir for that woman.

40:48 And another one too.

40:52 Bouncer to Francis. He will bounce it

40:54 between the legs. Take it himself. Two

40:57 trick plays on the frame for the Clowns.

41:00 But the Bananas pounce on Carell Prime,

41:03 putting four runs up on their former

41:04 teammate.

41:07 >> Yeah, certainly a big inning for the

41:08 Savannah Bananas, but still two trick

41:10 plays for the Clowns. They can find some

41:12 solace in that.

41:15 Here's how the Nanners line it up

41:16 defensively behind Austin Drury. Left to

41:19 right in their outfield. It's Rack D and

41:21 Super Reese. Third to first in the

41:23 infield. KJack, Cox, Olsen, MJG,

41:27 AD's battery mate, Bill Loy, the Nanners

41:30 designated fielder, Alex Ziggler. Last

41:32 night, the Bananas outfield had eight of

41:34 their 13 trick plays defensively. Dr.

41:37 Meadows had five in center field. He's

41:40 now up to 18, leading all players on the

41:42 tour, just having an all-around

41:44 incredible open to this 2026 season. And

41:48 Super East for his part, three trick

41:50 plays in right field. He is yet to boo

41:52 one here in his third campaign in banana

41:55 ball. Austin Drury in the middle of it

41:57 all. One trick play here so far in his

42:00 fantastic rookie campaign. Former

42:02 Dodgers minor leager after a couple

42:05 years make it three of them in the

42:07 American Association. An erra below two

42:10 through 9 and 2/3 and he has yet to give

42:12 up a ball for a sprint. You cannot

42:14 complain with any of it. Yeah, the

42:15 fourth overall pick in the Banana Ball

42:17 player draft is now making his fourth

42:18 start this season for the Bananas. 2 and

42:21 0 and he has faced 42 batters to start

42:24 his career without allowing a ball four

42:27 sprint and his last start he was

42:29 fantastic. Four innings pitch and he

42:32 averaged three outs in 3 minutes and 28

42:35 seconds. The Indianapolis Clowns lineup

42:38 coming off an explosive weekend last

42:41 week in Montgomery against the

42:43 firefighters. We talked about it on the

42:44 pregame show. The top four stifled last

42:46 night. Jaylen Vasquez, Jackie Bradley

42:48 Jr., Bobby Leay, Chris Burgess combined

42:51 for just 1 for 17. But Nicole, Eli

42:54 Payton, Carell Prime, Dale Francis Jr.,

42:56 they were all productive. Joe Gray Jr.

42:59 and then Brian Dancero. The only

43:01 difference in tonight's lineup

43:03 offensively. That was Kirkland Banks in

43:05 the 10 hole last night. The first nine

43:08 identical for Eric Fox and his clowns.

43:11 And a fast ball poured in for strike

43:13 one.

43:15 >> A battle between former minor leaguers

43:18 here.

43:19 JV in Orioles farm hand

43:22 >> and he lines this one into right

43:27 >> just three pitches in Jaylen Vasquez

43:30 doing his part equals the hit total of

43:33 the top four guys in that lineup from

43:35 last night and good to see Vasquez

43:38 getting the knock going down two strikes

43:40 very quickly against Austin Drury

43:43 left-handed batters have actually hit

43:44 Drury a little bit better and Jackie

43:47 Bradley Jr. Junior laces this one into

43:49 the left center field gap and that is a

43:52 round triper for JBJ.

43:55 The second of his young banana ball

43:57 career and they have come in backto back

44:00 weekends for the twotime World Series

44:03 champ.

44:06 That's big league pop

44:09 out to left center field. Sam Bowman.

44:12 What's JBJ thinking?

44:14 >> Hey Jackie. Jackie real quick. It seems

44:17 like you figured something out here in

44:18 these major league ballparks, huh?

44:20 >> I know a little bit about them.

44:23 That's awesome. Thank you.

44:26 He got around the bases too quick. I

44:27 couldn't keep up with him, guys.

44:31 >> Thank you, Sam Bowman. Bobby Leay

44:34 jumping on the first offering from

44:35 Drury. He's got himself a double. So,

44:38 how about that single, homer, double

44:43 >> from the top three hitters in this

44:44 Clowns lineup.

44:54 and two earned runs against Drury

44:56 already. He'd only given up two earned

44:57 runs in nine and two/3 innings coming

45:00 into this start. Now he's got Chris

45:03 Burgess as Leeday's off for third. Throw

45:05 from Leroy. Not in time. Boy, it was a

45:09 perfect throw from the Nanner's captain

45:10 from his knees

45:13 who has been gunning down would be base

45:16 Steelers at an an alarming rate this

45:18 year. Yeah, he has thrown out 37 12% of

45:21 the runners who have stolen against him

45:24 and it looks like we are going to have

45:26 our first challenge of tonight's

45:28 contest. The umpiring crew will look at

45:31 that play at third base.

45:35 I got to be honest, I couldn't believe

45:37 Leeday took off with the Clowns down two

45:39 runs in the inning. He's not the runner

45:42 that matters. Chris Burgess at the dish

45:44 is the inning tying run. Felt like an

45:47 unnecessary risk.

45:48 >> It's a very aggressive play for really

45:52 no reason.

45:52 >> And you go back to an old adage of

45:54 baseball, it transfers to banana ball as

45:57 well. You never want to make the first

45:58 or third out at third.

46:00 I mean, it's bang bang.

46:04 >> Third base umpire John Norfick had the

46:06 best view in the entire house out of the

46:09 45,000 plus here.

46:13 I mean, if I was shown this in a vacuum

46:14 without knowing the call on the field, I

46:16 think I would tell you it looked like

46:18 Leed is out, but I'm not seeing anything

46:20 that should overturn the call on the

46:21 field myself.

46:23 Your thoughts, Josh?

46:25 >> I was just trying to read the body

46:26 language from Bobby Leday. and almost

46:28 looked like he was expecting to be

46:31 called out by the third base umpire.

46:38 >> The rolling on the field

46:41 stands.

46:42 >> One call stands. I think that's the

46:43 right decision by Andrew Gerard, the

46:45 crew chief of this six-man umpiring

46:48 squad. Bill Loy thought he got him, but

46:52 just not enough evidence there to flip

46:54 the original call.

46:58 So, Leeday leading the Clowns with his

47:00 fifth steel, still yet to be caught

47:02 thanks to that call not being

47:03 overturned.

47:05 >> And no surprise that he's running wild.

47:09 It's a guy who had 67 steals across just

47:12 the last two years in the Pioneer League

47:13 as Chris Burgess keeps the hit parade

47:16 marching.

47:22 Ninth stake on the year for another one

47:24 of the clowns former Baltimore Orioles

47:26 minor leaguers.

47:29 And just like that, the tying run

47:30 aboard.

47:32 Nicolesizer, former Dodgers and Ray

47:35 Farmhand represents the inning winning

47:37 run.

47:38 Fast ball blown by him.

47:42 Drury sits 92 to 94 with the gas.

47:46 He's got a two seam cutter change up and

47:49 slider

47:51 to finish up the five pitch mix.

47:56 Remember this all started with an O2

47:58 single from Jaylen Vasquez

48:01 as Holesizer is now behind one and two

48:05 and just barely gets a piece of it. No,

48:09 he did not. And with Burgess occupying

48:11 first at the time of that swing and

48:15 miss, wholeizer did not have a chance to

48:17 take first base himself.

48:20 I think Bill Loy is kind of surprised by

48:23 the call. Don't think he knew that

48:26 Fullizer didn't get a piece of that.

48:35 world.

48:54 We listen to each other.

49:17 How about the walk up from Eli Payton,

49:20 home state kid out of Linata,

49:22 California.

49:26 0 for two last night. A ball four sprint

49:27 and a run scored in that four-run top of

49:30 the seventh. Only inning that the Clowns

49:33 scored at all.

49:38 Got to have Payton out on the Party

49:40 Plaza pregame. He was fantastic on the

49:42 mic. smashing foam balls to the

49:44 thousands of folks out there between the

49:47 two giant Angels helmets as you see

49:49 Burgess scampering off the field.

49:52 Malachi Mitchell from the walk up now

49:54 into scoring position. Clowns designated

49:56 hitter as that's a shattered bat. Tricky

49:58 play. Jackson Olsen able to make it.

50:03 Flash over to third. The inning tying

50:05 run. Big second out for Austin Drury.

50:08 Yeah, nice job by Jackson Olsen just

50:11 trying to avoid the bat as it was also

50:13 kind of coming in his direction.

50:16 Nice job by Jackie not trying to do

50:19 anything tricky but more so just make

50:22 the out and make sure that Drury still

50:24 in line to earn the first point tonight.

50:26 Now Carell Prime trying to pick himself

50:28 up. Gave up four runs in the top half.

50:32 He could win the inning here. Shanked

50:35 towards the stands. not caught

50:40 ball in a strike on the 2024 visitor who

50:43 finished up that first year in Banana

50:46 Ball on the Nanners with KJ and Ty

50:49 Jackson moving from Banana Ball's

50:51 developmental team to the marquee squad

50:54 in the sport.

50:57 Fantastic two-way player for the Nanners

50:59 last year.

51:01 Now the fate of the frame in his hands

51:03 offensively.

51:04 Another chance for the fans. This one a

51:07 tougher task.

51:09 And once again, not caught.

51:13 Austin Drury one strike away from

51:16 escaping.

51:18 Carell Prime one swing away

51:20 from flipping this inning on its head.

51:23 The 2-2

51:25 jam shot to center. Dr. Meadows tip

51:29 drill. You bet. After five trick plays

51:32 last night, the doctor tallies the first

51:35 trick play of our finale in this twoame

51:38 set and Austin Drury bends but does not

51:41 break. He allows three runs strands the

51:44 inning tying run at third base. Nanners

51:48 up 1 nil as we get another look at

51:51 Jackie Bradley Jr's second career banana

51:54 ball home run. First that he's put out

51:56 of a big league park for the

51:58 Indianapolis Clouds.

52:00 and we'll get it on down to Sam Bowman.

52:04 Hey, Bo Josh. What a beautiful is Banana

52:08 Ball. Almost artistic. I'm here with

52:11 East the Pen Parish. It's cuz he doesn't

52:14 use pencil. He doesn't make mistakes.

52:16 Eastston, an artist. How did you find

52:18 yourself into this line of work, if you

52:21 will?

52:22 >> Well, started when I was in sixth grade.

52:24 Um, older brother was an art. He was a

52:26 decent drawer. He didn't really apply

52:28 himself. Sorry, bro. Um, but I applied

52:31 myself a little bit. Did art all the way

52:33 through senior year of high school. Some

52:34 people thought I was decent at it. Got

52:36 some awards and that was realistic art.

52:38 But coming into Banana Ball, I know it's

52:40 all about creativity and doing something

52:41 different and I wanted to get into

52:42 cartoons and I don't think I'm that good

52:44 at it.

52:45 >> Well, you these guys think I do.

52:46 >> You've got a tough task here. This is

52:48 We're We're drawing Robert Anthony Cruz

52:50 tonight. EP real quick. Any nervousness

52:52 about millions of followers trying to

52:54 capture that face? No, he's got a very

52:57 drawable face, but he's I might not be

52:59 able to pay attention to my board here.

53:01 He's kind of He's got locked in on me

53:03 right now. I'm I'm getting distracted

53:04 looking at him.

53:05 >> Artist. There's just something about

53:06 him, guys. Speak Josh.

53:09 >> Couldn't have said it any better myself.

53:11 Sam, thank you. Eastston. Can't wait to

53:13 see how his art turns out. A wild pitch.

53:16 Ty Jackson scurries down the line and he

53:21 will steal first for the first time in

53:24 his third World Tour. He's talked about

53:27 it a half inning ago, but his Banana

53:28 Ball career has pretty much mirrored

53:32 Carell Prime's visitor to Banana for a

53:35 year plus now. This is year three, but

53:37 his second full tour

53:41 as Ryan Cox digs in having himself a

53:44 superb fifth world tour. Look, both Ty

53:46 Jackson and Reese Selectiatis, the two

53:48 guys to swipe first. They were teammates

53:50 with Carell Prime, they know that

53:51 scouting report on him as Cox laces this

53:55 one foul. That catch is first base

53:58 umpire Seth Markham pretty good. He was

54:00 trying to make a play on that one. He

54:02 tried to make the play before declaring

54:04 a foul ball.

54:07 >> Code strike three. Beautiful bend around

54:10 the outside corner as Prime freezes one

54:13 of the toughest guys to strike out in

54:14 the sport.

54:23 >> Only Cox's second K this year compared

54:26 to six ball four sprints earned.

54:28 >> And he's such a good battler that

54:30 usually when you see those strikeouts in

54:32 the column for Ryan Cox, most of them

54:34 come looking like that one from Prime.

54:37 has got a fantastic eye, but the back

54:39 door slider fooled him as this gets away

54:42 from Chris Burgess. Not far enough for

54:44 Dr. Meadows to move up,

54:47 but Ty Jackson

54:49 will take a bonus 90 ft.

54:54 Ball four will score a run here

54:58 and Prime can't find the zone, so DR

55:01 takes the free pass.

55:03 Jackson will score easily. Meadows is

55:05 going to test the Clown sprint defense

55:07 and he gets two bases for his troubles.

55:13 Ball had just gotten to Dancer.

55:16 That was the sixth clown that needed

55:18 touch to touch the ball before it was

55:20 live. Nico Holtzizer hadn't even gotten

55:22 a hold of it yet. He was the last piece

55:25 of that puzzle.

55:44 I

55:47 love you.

56:25 Super race, the man out of Manhattan H

56:28 just down the road from Angel Stadium

56:31 ahead 10 after his specialty walk up. He

56:34 stole first base his first time. A

56:37 monster swinging a miss on a nice slider

56:40 there from Prime.

56:48 >> Alexi here in his third world tour. His

56:50 banana ball career aging like a fine

56:52 wine. He's hit over 300 in both of his

56:56 full tours. But the power, which is

57:00 became advertised for after earning

57:03 Pioneer League MVP honors in 2023,

57:05 thanks in part to his league leading 29

57:08 home runs. That has really started to

57:11 rev up as Eli Payton takes a foul ball

57:14 and would have gotten Alexi out at well.

57:18 >> Third base umpire John Norfick changed

57:20 his mind.

57:23 He originally said foul ball and then

57:24 flipped it. Take a look right here. All

57:26 right, we're watching. Oh, we lost the

57:29 Okay. Anyhow, great play by Eli Payton.

57:32 Showing you why he was a Gold Glove

57:34 finalist last spring at Grand Canyon

57:37 University. Look, not only is Alexis a

57:40 guy known for lots of power, he had 29

57:42 homers, 29 stolen bases in his Pioneer

57:45 League MVP season. So, he gets down the

57:47 line very well. Impressive throw from

57:50 Eli Payton cross body at third.

57:55 Look out.

57:57 Maxon Goldberg cranks one towards the

58:00 Bananas dugout. Two balls and a strike

58:03 on the Nanders first baseman. A sprint

58:05 and a run scored back in the first and

58:06 he loops that over the head of JB into

58:09 right. Hole ties are coming up throwing.

58:11 Meadows racing home. Play at the plate.

58:14 Dr. is safe.

58:17 Nearly a perfect throw from Nico.

58:20 >> Good tag by Burgess. Just too much speed

58:23 from the doctor as we'll get another

58:25 gander.

58:29 Just a pinch off line. That's what

58:32 allowed Dr. to sneak in. And you see

58:34 Meadows also make the little movement up

58:36 towards the front of home plate to get

58:39 in ahead of Burgess's tag. Great move

58:42 from Meadows and a hot start for Max

58:44 Young Goldberg. Now, seven runs batted

58:46 in for him have come when the Bananas

58:48 have played as the visiting team this

58:50 year. That's all seven of his RBI's on

58:53 the year.

58:58 We've talked about it a handful of

58:59 times. If this is not your first

59:02 Savannah Bananas broadcast this year,

59:03 bear with us. For everybody on the ESPN

59:06 app and Disney Plus who may be seeing

59:09 this for the first time in 2026, MJG 130

59:12 runs driven in last year. set the

59:14 Pioneer League record.

59:16 So, rib eyes are what he is known for

59:20 and he's starting to show us why.

59:23 Bouncing ball foul. We'll get another

59:25 2-2 from Prime to Oburst.

59:28 Dan Singled his first time. Came around

59:30 to score in that four-run first inning.

59:38 >> Full count means Young Goldberg will be

59:40 loose at first as soon as Prime comes

59:42 home with it.

59:44 And that's why Carell checks on him.

59:50 >> Prime really high baseball and banana

59:52 ball IQ

59:55 now delivers the payoff

59:57 as Ober able to spoil the slider. Yeah,

1:00:00 this is a fun battle to see. Dan Oburst,

1:00:02 Carell Prime teammates a year ago. They

1:00:04 talked so much hitting. Prime was a key

1:00:06 guy that Overbur leaned on when it came

1:00:09 to offense and Obur will earn the ball

1:00:12 for Sprint. Burgess just able to keep

1:00:14 that one within his range and Max Young

1:00:17 Goldberg is getting the wave all the way

1:00:19 from first base and he will score. Slow

1:00:24 transitions between the Clouts defenders

1:00:27 lead to a third run in the top of the

1:00:29 second for the Bananas.

1:00:32 And that's Nanner's head coach Tyler

1:00:34 Gillum's green light special on display.

1:00:37 It's his base running system. It's

1:00:39 pretty simple. Pressure bursts pipes.

1:00:42 Make the defense make a great play. It

1:00:46 kind of caught the clowns napping there.

1:00:48 Dancer just never even imagined that MJG

1:00:51 would be going first to home.

1:00:53 I mean, it almost catches you off guard

1:00:55 considering Max Young Goldberg, you

1:00:57 know, the Bananas used their designated

1:00:59 runner Bryce Groafi to run from him in

1:01:02 the first inning. Runs for himself in

1:01:04 the second and kind of just sneaks by

1:01:07 you.

1:01:10 Two balls and no strikes on Kyle

1:01:12 Jackson.

1:01:14 RBI single and then came in to score the

1:01:17 inning. Winning run back in the first

1:01:19 inning. Nico Holesheiser on his horse.

1:01:22 Overruns it.

1:01:24 KJ Digging for three. Over is going to

1:01:27 come home.

1:01:29 RBI stand up triple for Kyle Jackson.

1:01:36 And the Ners offense firing on all

1:01:38 cylinders. Backto back fourrun frames to

1:01:41 start the game.

1:01:44 Well, the Clouds have also just given a

1:01:46 lot of gifts to the Bananas tonight as

1:01:48 well. So far, three ball, four sprints

1:01:50 from Carell Prime. Bananas have stolen

1:01:53 first base twice against him. That is a

1:01:56 lot of free guys that you are putting on

1:01:58 the base pass. So, no surprise the

1:02:00 Bananas already have eight runs through

1:02:03 the first two innings.

1:02:06 02 to Bill Loy.

1:02:09 It's going to make it to the second

1:02:10 deck. Not caught.

1:02:14 Bill, a two-run double his first time on

1:02:16 a three-0 pitch. This time he's behind

1:02:19 and his teammates have to skip rope. Ty

1:02:22 Jackson

1:02:24 responds to his captain with whatever

1:02:25 the heck that dance is where you kind of

1:02:27 cover your nose and flap your arm

1:02:29 around. You know what I'm saying, kids.

1:02:31 Bill with his third ribeye of the night.

1:02:34 KJ his second run scored a twirl at the

1:02:37 dish and now a five spot for the Bananas

1:02:41 here in the top of the second.

1:02:47 Bill came in with two runs driven in on

1:02:50 the season.

1:02:51 >> All of a sudden, he's up to five.

1:02:59 Olson quickly behind. No balls in two

1:03:01 strikes.

1:03:07 >> Jackie smoked the ball his first time.

1:03:09 Just straight to Dale Francis Jr. at

1:03:11 first. He peppers this one past the dive

1:03:14 of Jaylen Vasquez. Loy will go station

1:03:17 to station

1:03:21 >> now. Three straight two out hits.

1:03:24 Then five straight Bananas have reached

1:03:27 with two down. Four hits and a sprint

1:03:30 since Prime got that second out. We're

1:03:31 only in the second inning. Eight of the

1:03:34 10 batters in this order have reached

1:03:36 for the bananas. Bobby Leay though will

1:03:38 field this ground ball. take it to the

1:03:40 back himself. But it is five runs for

1:03:43 the Savannah Bananas trying to earn a

1:03:46 second straight point tonight here in

1:03:48 Angel Stadium.

1:04:00 >> Let's make it a competition. Young

1:04:02 professor, who do you got over there?

1:04:03 >> Tell you what, Jesse, I'm going to

1:04:05 represent all the fans over here behind

1:04:07 third base. Everyone out here in left

1:04:10 field up everybody because this is the

1:04:13 best in class of ever.

1:04:16 >> Yeah, you may have off left field in the

1:04:19 third base side, but I got all of right

1:04:21 field and all the way down the first

1:04:22 base side and we call this the winning

1:04:25 section. Here we go.

1:04:31 >> Let me hear you

1:04:34 loud.

1:04:46 You guys have that first go to number.

1:04:56 >> All right, let's get it back. Here we

1:04:58 go.

1:05:22 Good job you guys. That goes to the

1:05:25 third base.

1:05:33 Dale Francis Jr. comes to the dish. This

1:05:36 is for the win.

1:05:41 >> Come on, Anaheim. I need you.

1:05:58 Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

1:06:00 ESPN app, Disney Plus, and as always,

1:06:03 the Savannah Bananas YouTube channel.

1:06:06 Just an inning and a half in, it has

1:06:08 been offense galore.

1:06:12 Bananas won the first inning, four runs

1:06:14 to three to claim the point, and they

1:06:16 put up five runs in the top of the

1:06:19 second. batted around as Dale Francis

1:06:21 Jr. out to right center and that'll be

1:06:25 extra bases

1:06:30 as Dale wins the battle between

1:06:31 Flidians. Proud of Fort Pierce a

1:06:34 twobagger off the man out of Lando Lakes

1:06:37 on the bump. Austin Drury looking to

1:06:40 earn another point.

1:06:42 Great sign for Dale Francis Jr. was two

1:06:44 for four with a run driven in last

1:06:46 night.

1:06:48 now starts this finale with a double.

1:06:51 And Joe Gray Jr. with deceiving numbers

1:06:54 to start his banana ball career. Oh my

1:06:57 goodness. That went right into the booth

1:06:59 next to me and it just sits there. Our

1:07:02 entire marketing team has vacated it.

1:07:08 >> Josh, if we're ever going to catch a

1:07:09 foul ball, Angel Stadium might be the

1:07:12 best big league park to do it. It just

1:07:13 feels like every pitch you've got the

1:07:15 opportunity.

1:07:18 Jose Bonitz is mocking me from the booth

1:07:21 over. He's like I could tell through

1:07:24 sign link which is telling me I should

1:07:25 have jumped through the glass.

1:07:30 Joe Gray Jr. just able to get a piece of

1:07:33 the two strike offering. Loy not able to

1:07:35 squeeze it.

1:07:39 >> It's a two- two count. Don't let the

1:07:40 score bug deceive you.

1:07:44 >> And now the count is full.

1:07:49 Joe one for three last night

1:07:53 >> as he earns the ball for sprint

1:07:58 which will drive in the third run of his

1:08:01 rookie campaign

1:08:03 with Francis coming across to score.

1:08:08 >> Joe Gray Jr. even though he's only

1:08:11 hitting a buck 48. Last night he had

1:08:14 just his second strike out of the year.

1:08:16 Josh, you mentioned it. It's just a

1:08:17 really bad luck on balls in play for the

1:08:20 former Brewers and Royals minor leaguer.

1:08:22 Yeah, and again the big thing that was

1:08:24 also an issue for Joe Gray when he was a

1:08:26 Brewers minor leager. A pretty high

1:08:28 strikeout rate throughout his career. 28

1:08:31 1.5% was that career mark for Joe Gray

1:08:34 Jr. and he's really been able to cut

1:08:36 down on the KS early in his banana ball

1:08:39 career. Excellent to see for the guy who

1:08:42 just got the first ever ball four sprint

1:08:44 against Austin Drury. How about that?

1:08:54 >> Brian Dancero

1:08:57 evens up the count at two and two. He's

1:08:59 only hitting .091, but a 450 on base

1:09:02 percentage here in his first full season

1:09:04 of Banana Ball.

1:09:07 >> Chopper backhanded by KJ Toulson for one

1:09:10 over to first. What a play by MJG. He

1:09:14 did get taken off the bag. Pretty

1:09:16 remarkable that he was able to scoop it

1:09:18 though. And now we hope that Brian

1:09:20 Dancer is okay.

1:09:29 landed awkwardly after trying to beat

1:09:32 the wrap with the Nanners trying to turn

1:09:35 two. Can see it right there. Ah, that

1:09:38 is.

1:09:41 That's a scary sight.

1:09:53 Dance row. guy. Five years of indie pro

1:09:56 ball before

1:09:58 coming over to Banana Land. Guy who

1:10:00 spent a year of college baseball with

1:10:02 Dan Oburst at the University of West

1:10:04 Georgia. Dancer's senior campaign. It

1:10:07 was Ober's first year at UWG

1:10:13 and a guy who I've got on my list to

1:10:15 join the backflip catch club here in

1:10:17 2026.

1:10:21 We hope that isn't serious.

1:10:23 Malachi Mitchell will be used for the

1:10:25 second time today, which is possible

1:10:29 because we're back at the top of the

1:10:30 order. You can use your designated

1:10:31 runner once every time through the

1:10:33 order.

1:10:35 And just another note, Banana Ball

1:10:37 played with that 2-hour time limit. When

1:10:39 we see injuries like that that come up,

1:10:42 it stops the clock. So now we are back

1:10:45 to the clock running with Drury firing

1:10:48 to JV.

1:10:52 Vasquez was behind O2 when he looped a

1:10:56 liner into right. Started that three-run

1:10:58 rally in the bottom of the first that

1:11:00 fell just one run short as Olsen will

1:11:02 flip to second for one. No chance at

1:11:04 two. JV runs very well.

1:11:07 >> So backto back fielders choices.

1:11:14 Vasquez takes over at first base

1:11:21 >> and Jackie Bradley Jr. the two-run homer

1:11:26 out towards the waterfall cascade

1:11:30 landscape in right field check to

1:11:33 Vasquez who was dancing towards second.

1:11:37 JV Wise to it from Drury

1:11:42 and a foul ball clangs off the press

1:11:44 box.

1:11:49 JBJ now leading the Clowns with his 10

1:11:51 runs batted in. Also pacing the squad

1:11:55 with his 10 runs scored, hitting .313,

1:11:59 405 on base percentage coming into

1:12:01 tonight. He's Jackie Bradley Jr. You

1:12:03 expect anything less.

1:12:06 Swing and a miss.

1:12:09 >> Beautiful slatter there from Drury

1:12:12 as AD strands a man and punches another

1:12:16 point

1:12:18 on the scoreboard for the Nanners.

1:12:25 >> And we'll get it down to the field

1:12:28 >> for our Bananas Foster family of the

1:12:31 night.

1:12:41 Psych. It's Matt Wolf and we're going to

1:12:45 go to break.

1:13:06 That was pretty silly, huh YouTube?

1:13:08 >> That was a pretty good BTB prank, huh?

1:13:10 YouTube

1:13:12 got them.

1:13:15 >> We got We got the bananas foster emotes

1:13:17 in the chat. Boss fan widow bat.

1:13:20 >> Save them. Save them. You got them in

1:13:22 your back pocket still.

1:13:24 >> I'm pretty sure they're unlimited.

1:13:30 Oh, that was awesome.

1:13:33 It's banana ball. A lot of moving

1:13:34 pieces.

1:13:38 Holy moly. What a day for the sport.

1:13:40 Let's check in on the firefighters and

1:13:42 tailgators over on the firefighters

1:13:44 YouTube channel.

1:13:55 It is indeed Banana Ball's original

1:13:59 trick pitch man, Mr. Matt Wolf here in

1:14:03 World Tour number five,

1:14:06 getting a line drive single from Ty

1:14:08 Jackson after the trickery on the bump.

1:14:14 Ty stole first base

1:14:17 as the Nanners batted around in that

1:14:19 fiveun second inning.

1:14:23 Tied two fly the catalyst. You get a

1:14:25 look at the numbers for Wolfie here on

1:14:27 his third banana ball team. Started with

1:14:30 the bananas

1:14:32 2022 through the 2024 Tours halfway

1:14:35 through 2024. Went over to the

1:14:37 firefighters at their inception. Made

1:14:39 too much sense. Matt Wolf a firefighter

1:14:41 in Oklahoma City.

1:14:44 and then a fifth generation rodeo clown.

1:14:47 With the Indianapolis Clowns being added

1:14:49 coming into 2026, it somehow made even

1:14:52 more sense to get mad on another new

1:14:55 team in the sport.

1:14:57 I think it just really comes down to

1:14:59 this is a guy that embodies so much

1:15:00 about banana ball as Ryan Cox lifts this

1:15:04 to shallow left center. Leay tipping it

1:15:07 to Gray.

1:15:10 Little bit of miscommunication, but

1:15:12 >> it turns into a Bobby Leay trick play.

1:15:14 >> Yes. So, Joe Gray has now moved from the

1:15:16 extra hitter spot into left field for

1:15:18 Brian Dancer.

1:15:20 Nearly collides with Bobby Leay.

1:15:22 Nonetheless, a trick play preserved. And

1:15:25 now Wolfie going to battle against the

1:15:27 Bananas leadoff man in Dr. Meadows who

1:15:31 put some English on the banana ball, but

1:15:33 it stays in foul territory. Chris Burr

1:15:36 just kicking it fair. Uh, that's not

1:15:38 legal for anybody wondering.

1:15:48 >> It was Lenny Randall. Seattle Mariners

1:15:51 trying to blow that ball fair

1:15:57 shades of

1:16:00 >> Lenny Randall as we get a back flip

1:16:02 cartwheel. Matt Wolf 02 spikes it. Great

1:16:06 stop by Chris Burgess.

1:16:10 keeps Tai Jackson at first base.

1:16:19 And now the count even at two and two on

1:16:22 David Ray Meadows. Popped into a trick

1:16:24 play his first time. An RBI ball for a

1:16:27 sprint and a run scored an inning ago.

1:16:31 Liner. What a snag. Matt Wolf showing

1:16:34 off the trickery between the legs.

1:16:36 Double play.

1:16:40 What a way to put up a goose egg for

1:16:42 Wolfie. And he gets the trick play on

1:16:44 the pitcher mound as well. Phenomenal

1:16:47 reaction from a guy who also spent some

1:16:50 time at second base for the Clowns and

1:16:52 then has the wherewithal, the flip

1:16:54 through the legs and double up tie two

1:16:57 fly. And now it's time for Banana's

1:17:00 foster family of the night. Over 400,000

1:17:03 children and teens in foster care

1:17:05 without a permanent home. Look around.

1:17:08 That's enough to fill Angel Stadium nine

1:17:11 times with the amount of kids currently

1:17:13 experiencing care. To raise awareness

1:17:16 and support this community, we created

1:17:18 Bananas Foster, the official nonprofit

1:17:21 of Banana Ball. Our organization is

1:17:24 dedicated to celebrating the foster care

1:17:27 community while educating and inspiring

1:17:29 others to get involved. Tonight, we get

1:17:32 to celebrate the Sanchez family. While

1:17:34 reunification is the ultimate goal of

1:17:36 foster care, only about 45% of children

1:17:40 in care become reunited with their

1:17:42 biological families. Carrie and Kyla

1:17:45 have challenged this narrative and

1:17:47 prioritized supporting not only the

1:17:48 kiddos that come into their home, but

1:17:50 their parents and families as well on

1:17:52 their journey towards reunification. In

1:17:55 the last six years as a licensed foster

1:17:57 family, they have welcomed six children

1:18:00 into their home and seen every single

1:18:04 one of them successfully reunified with

1:18:08 their families.

1:18:10 fans, please join me in celebrating this

1:18:14 incredible family for making a

1:18:16 difference right here in your community.

1:18:29 We talk about it weekly here in Banana

1:18:33 Land, but Foster Families is all about

1:18:36 reuniting with biological families.

1:18:38 Beautiful stuff.

1:18:57 ladies and gentlemen tonight55

1:19:06 to get involved. Ladies and gentlemen,

1:19:08 you go those hands clapping and direct

1:19:10 your attention to left field under the

1:19:12 video board for the world famous Banana

1:19:16 B.

1:19:25 Hello YouTube. It's just us.

1:19:29 Banana band blasting away. Hope you

1:19:32 spammed all those bananas foster emojis.

1:19:36 All right, boss fan already has that

1:19:37 Wolfie BTV prank clipped.

1:19:43 You folks work quickly.

1:19:46 I wanted to check in on that

1:19:48 firefighters tailgator game earlier.

1:19:50 Okay, two nothing Tailgator. Top of the

1:19:52 fourth. Couple guys on. Tailgator up 75

1:19:55 and trick plays.

1:19:57 >> Fascinating series going on down in

1:19:59 Scottsdale, Arizona where they do not

1:20:03 obey daylight savings.

1:20:07 Your thoughts on that, Josh? We'll have

1:20:09 to hold them.

1:20:17 Banana Band blasting away as we head to

1:20:20 the last of the third inning. Big

1:20:22 Boppers 3, four, and five due to swing

1:20:24 it for the Indianapolis Clowns. Down two

1:20:26 nothing in the allimportant points

1:20:28 department. But thanks to Matt Wolf,

1:20:30 they finally put up a goose egg in the

1:20:33 top half of an inning. So it just takes

1:20:34 one run to cut that Banana's lead in

1:20:36 half. Bobby Leay behind O2

1:20:40 as Austin Drury looks to hold serve.

1:20:43 Gave up three runs in the first.

1:20:47 Gave up a run in the second,

1:20:50 but has been able to earn two points and

1:20:53 now he induces a perfect backflip catch

1:20:56 by David Ray Meadows in center.

1:21:01 his second in the series for the

1:21:03 Savannah Bananas. And the doctor now has

1:21:06 seven through these two games in Angel

1:21:10 Stadium. I mean, he is playing out of

1:21:12 his mind, potentially putting together

1:21:14 yet another MVP caliber campaign. For

1:21:18 those who do not know, Dr. was the MVP

1:21:21 in 2024. Jake Skull won it last year.

1:21:23 Star right fielder for the party

1:21:25 animals.

1:21:30 And now with the one count on Chris

1:21:32 Burgess, AD's got himself a 322.

1:21:38 >> Really taking the lyrics

1:21:41 literally here.

1:21:57 will be your

1:22:23 forever.

1:22:26 And the 10 pitch

1:22:29 just misses.

1:22:32 >> You know, just a whole song and dance

1:22:33 before two guys who both got up to

1:22:35 double A

1:22:37 square off against each other. Surely

1:22:39 what they were expecting across their

1:22:41 respective careers,

1:22:42 >> right?

1:22:46 2021, Burgess was up double A with the

1:22:48 Bowie Bay Socks in Maryland. 21 and 22.

1:22:52 Drury was double A with the Tulsa

1:22:54 Drillers in Oklahoma.

1:23:01 And now a payoff.

1:23:04 We'll do it again.

1:23:07 Purchase an RBI single his first time.

1:23:15 And the Heater just misses.

1:23:19 handful of calls in that battle that did

1:23:21 not go AD's way as Drury works

1:23:26 or Burgess rather works himself his

1:23:28 third sprint equaling his strikeout

1:23:30 total on the tour. I mean guy leading

1:23:33 the clowns with his 400 batting average

1:23:37 getting on base at a 478 clip. The only

1:23:39 guy coming into this ball game better in

1:23:42 that department Nico Hollesizer came in

1:23:44 with a 483 OBP. I mean, there's a lot of

1:23:47 talk about Jackie Bradley Jr., Bobby

1:23:49 Leay, what they've done. Chris Burgess

1:23:52 has the most value over a replacement

1:23:54 player of any Indianapolis Clowns

1:23:56 batter. Burgess with an even 10 runs,

1:23:59 more than a replacement level player as

1:24:01 Holeser chops this over to Kyle Jackson

1:24:04 and he will take the lead out at second

1:24:06 base for the Bananas. Burgess now off

1:24:09 the b the bags. of when you get to talk

1:24:11 vorp here on the Savannah Bananas

1:24:14 YouTube channel, ESPN app, Disney Plus.

1:24:17 Vorping ain't easy, but someone's got to

1:24:19 do it. You're telling me, boy.

1:24:24 Hey, Fisher Polyorov is going to throw

1:24:27 away

1:24:29 his beard. I don't know what he's got

1:24:32 going on. Is that a floss pick in his

1:24:34 mouth? I don't know what Fischer's up

1:24:36 to, but no BGs just like Holazer before

1:24:39 him.

1:24:40 And behind Ow and one

1:24:45 fish were able to record an out on the

1:24:46 mound last night. Now showing off his

1:24:49 skills with the stick. Guy who played

1:24:52 one year of college ball at Weatherford

1:24:53 College, one of the best Jo programs in

1:24:55 the country and realized banana ball was

1:24:58 his best path forward. Swings through

1:25:00 the fast ball here. AD's third strike

1:25:03 out of the game as he does hold serve

1:25:05 and we'll throw it down to the field.

1:25:06 Please welcome Jarius and Brandon, the

1:25:09 host for the Indianapolis Clouds.

1:25:14 >> Ladies and gentlemen, we know we love to

1:25:16 dance here in Banana Land, but we want

1:25:18 to see if these fellas can get down with

1:25:20 the bar storm.

1:25:22 >> That's right, ladies and gentlemen. And

1:25:23 the rules are simple. Each of these

1:25:25 fellas is going to have 10 to 15 seconds

1:25:27 to show who's got the grooviest and

1:25:28 funkiest moves here in Banana Land.

1:25:31 Barntorm brass, are you ready?

1:25:34 Contestant number one. Here we go.

1:25:41 Oh my goodness. Oh, that is some cricket

1:25:44 for you, ladies and gentlemen.

1:25:46 >> Show it to us.

1:25:48 >> All right.

1:25:50 >> All right, ladies and gentlemen, that is

1:25:52 contestant number one.

1:25:55 >> Number one.

1:25:59 Contestant number two. Are you ready?

1:26:03 the rest. Hit it.

1:26:13 >> Oh, he's

1:26:15 wiggling. Hey, now come on. He like He

1:26:20 is backing that brass up.

1:26:24 >> All right.

1:26:24 >> All right, ladies and gentlemen, that is

1:26:26 contestant number two. Are you ready for

1:26:28 contestant number three? Are you ready?

1:26:32 Ladies and gentlemen, here we go for

1:26:34 some hit it.

1:26:42 >> Ladies and gentlemen, oh my god.

1:26:46 >> This is unbelievable.

1:26:49 >> You ain't never seen anything quite like

1:26:51 it.

1:26:56 >> All right. All right. All right. Now

1:26:58 ladies and gentlemen, it is up to you

1:27:00 for the fans to decide. Is the winner

1:27:03 number one?

1:27:06 Is your winner number two

1:27:09 or is your winner number three?

1:27:23 >> We go to the top of the fourth inning.

1:27:25 Daniel Foster, the new man on the mound.

1:27:27 But how about when he was 14 years old,

1:27:31 took a bus trip

1:27:34 all up and down California with his

1:27:37 grandmother who they have a quest to get

1:27:40 to all 30 big league parks.

1:27:42 So far, they've gotten 15 of them. They

1:27:44 got all five in California.

1:27:48 And just by luck, Foster, the youngest

1:27:51 person on this bus trip, got to be the

1:27:54 honorary bat boy in Angel Stadium.

1:27:58 as the clown's sixth round pick gives up

1:28:01 a ball for sprint. Theresa Alexi digging

1:28:03 it out of the box and he's going to be

1:28:05 the second nanner to get multiple bases

1:28:08 on a sprint against the Clowns tonight.

1:28:11 Alexi aboard for the second time.

1:28:15 Stole first base his first trip

1:28:19 and was robbed of a knock back in the

1:28:22 second by Eli Payton. Good to check in

1:28:24 on Easton Parish.

1:28:26 drawing his drawing his cartoon of

1:28:28 Robert Anthony Cruz. Continue to monitor

1:28:30 that situation. You know, Rack's my muse

1:28:33 often times, too.

1:28:36 >> You and the rest of Banana Land as MJG

1:28:39 gets that one off the elbow. Luckily,

1:28:42 he's got some good armor there, so he's

1:28:45 certainly no worse for wear. Another

1:28:47 look. Yep, MJG'll take it. He's aboard

1:28:51 for the third time tonight.

1:28:54 Couple ducks on the pond for Dan Oburst.

1:28:57 That ball smashed deep out to left

1:29:00 center field. That will be trouble.

1:29:03 Alexi scores. Young Goldberg getting the

1:29:05 windmill.

1:29:08 Throw won't come home. Two-run double

1:29:11 for Danny Barrels.

1:29:13 His second and third RBI's of the night.

1:29:16 And this Nanner's offense keeps on

1:29:18 ripping.

1:29:22 only

1:29:47 >> the Mandalorian and

1:29:50 Grou. Grou,

1:29:52 >> it's tough.

1:29:53 >> What a legend.

1:29:53 >> It's tough because I'm also always

1:29:55 thinking about Roou

1:29:57 >> from America.

1:29:59 >> And when the the two most infamous

1:30:02 >> babies from showbiz in my life are named

1:30:04 Roou and Roou, it's really tricky. Got

1:30:07 them mixed up all the time. I love the

1:30:09 Mandalorian though. Problem is also

1:30:12 really like American dad.

1:30:17 >> Roger's kid's pretty funny.

1:30:20 Funny little guy.

1:30:23 Not as powerful as Grou, but what he

1:30:26 lacks at power, he makes up in humor as

1:30:28 Kyle Jackson drives this deep out to

1:30:30 left center. Just out of the reach of

1:30:32 Joe Gray Jr. Overst will score easily.

1:30:35 KJ will trot into second with a stand up

1:30:38 double.

1:30:40 Four innings into this game, he's a home

1:30:43 run away from the cycle. And a guy who

1:30:45 loves triples maybe had a shot at one

1:30:49 there. I know exactly what Kyle Jackson

1:30:51 was thinking is he slow trotted it into

1:30:54 2B.

1:30:58 Two runs across. Wow. Fast ball just

1:31:02 missed to Bill Loy.

1:31:06 So Daniel Foster

1:31:11 eight years ago hanging out with Craig

1:31:14 Council, Cole Calhoun, Eric Young Jr.,

1:31:16 Cameron Mabin in the Angels dugout. Now

1:31:18 he's at the center of a soldout Angel

1:31:21 Stadium striking out the 9-year Banana

1:31:23 Bill Loy.

1:31:28 >> Says that'll do. I mean, he is the

1:31:31 definition of a funky southpaw. yet he's

1:31:33 the only left-hander on this

1:31:35 Indianapolis Clowns team. So, they

1:31:37 really have to rely on him to get some

1:31:40 big outs. I know that'll be the case as

1:31:41 the season progresses.

1:31:44 Foster in his final college season in

1:31:47 2025 had nearly a 7 to1 strikeout to

1:31:51 walk ratio, but he's surrendered five

1:31:54 sprints, only has three strikeouts early

1:31:56 in his banana ball career.

1:32:00 Talked about it in the pregame show.

1:32:02 There's a learning curve to banana ball.

1:32:04 See, a guy like Connor Harris, another

1:32:06 guy who had an over 7 to1 strikeout to

1:32:08 walk ratio last spring in college and

1:32:11 hasn't translated to banana ball

1:32:13 perfectly yet. As Jaylen Vasquez muffs

1:32:16 that, we'll throw it behind KJ who's

1:32:18 back to third safely.

1:32:20 That's one that will go in the book as

1:32:22 an E4, but you know JV was thinking

1:32:25 about a trick play there.

1:32:29 Had his head up. Thought like he might

1:32:31 have been taking a peek at KJ while he

1:32:32 was fielding that as well.

1:32:35 And oh my gosh. Oh, that's a disaster.

1:32:38 Vincent Chapman ends up getting in the

1:32:40 way of Bobby Leay. It'll be a single for

1:32:42 Robert Anthony Cruz off the bat. Look

1:32:45 like it could have been a tailor made

1:32:46 double play.

1:32:49 Umpires are a part of the field of play

1:32:52 as we'll get another look at it. Oh

1:32:54 yeah, man. Bobby Leay was set up for

1:32:57 business there

1:32:59 and ran into the second base umpire.

1:33:02 That is incredibly unfortunate.

1:33:15 There's a ball in two strikes on Ty

1:33:17 Jackson. A steal of first and a single

1:33:19 on the night for Ty.

1:33:24 the two-time collegiate banana, Pettic

1:33:26 Cup champion, turned fan favorite in the

1:33:29 professional banana ball world

1:33:34 as it's a another battle between

1:33:36 Flidians. We've got a lot of them around

1:33:38 here. Tie out of Jacksonville, Foster

1:33:41 out of Rocklage,

1:33:43 and a liner snag by Payton. Throws to

1:33:46 second. No chance for two.

1:33:50 >> Looks like Kobe Robinson's coming out.

1:33:51 Here's Tyler Gillum

1:33:53 >> to hit the world's tallest batter,

1:33:59 Dakota Stilts of Britain.

1:34:17 Fascinating battle here. You've got

1:34:20 Dakota Steltz Aubra in here in his sixth

1:34:23 world tour

1:34:25 against Kobe Robinson,

1:34:28 Banana Ball rookie, 11th round draft

1:34:31 pick,

1:34:33 former Padres's minor leaguer.

1:34:36 Guy who got drafted in the 13th round in

1:34:38 2021 21 right out of JO and Kobe going

1:34:41 to get the job done. Leed between the

1:34:42 legs over to first still showing off the

1:34:46 wheels but not quick enough. Kobe

1:34:49 Robinson does the job. Nanners a chance

1:34:50 for a point though

1:35:02 everyone all the way around the stadium

1:35:04 on your feet because we're going to do

1:35:07 the biggest Hey baby Anaheim has ever

1:35:09 seen. So I need everyone to get those

1:35:10 hands up in the air. Hands all the way

1:35:13 up in the air. Here we go. Shark.

1:35:16 Get those hands clapping

1:35:27 >> now. Let's get them waving. Here we go.

1:35:42 >> Keep it going. Hands up.

1:35:55 And now

1:35:57 shuffle.

1:36:12 You hear that?

1:36:24 One more time.

1:36:38 >> You guys are amazing. Give yourself a

1:36:40 round of applause.

1:36:50 Hey baby, box checked. And YouTube, my

1:36:55 dear friends, we're about to be back on

1:36:57 the ESPN and Disney Worlds.

1:37:06 >> Middle of the fourth inning, Banana Ball

1:37:08 live from a soldout Angel Stadium. The

1:37:12 folks moving it and grooving it. Banana

1:37:15 ball tradition. The hey baby dance

1:37:18 as first pitch from Austin Drury to

1:37:20 Carell Prime fouled into the second

1:37:22 deck. Caught on a ricochet but it has to

1:37:24 be caught cleanly by the first person

1:37:26 that touches the ball for a foul ball

1:37:29 into the stands to be an out via fan.

1:37:33 And quickly an 02 count. Prime Francis

1:37:35 Jr. Gray Jr.

1:37:38 due to swing it in the last of the

1:37:39 fourth. Clowns need four runs to deny

1:37:41 the Bananas their third point. Five runs

1:37:44 to claim their first point. And the high

1:37:46 fast ball gets Austin Drury's fourth

1:37:48 punch out of the evening. Yeah, this

1:37:50 guy's got a live fast ball. And Austin

1:37:52 Drury's got a four pitch mix, but he

1:37:55 really is always trying to make that

1:37:58 fast set up his breaking and off speed

1:38:01 pitches. But seen him just continue to

1:38:04 hammer the fast ball against the Clowns

1:38:06 tonight and test them to see if they'll

1:38:08 catch up to it as it's their first time

1:38:10 ever facing off against the lefty.

1:38:14 Dale Francis Jr. ahead of ball and no

1:38:17 strikes doubled his first time. Came

1:38:19 around to score the only run in the

1:38:21 second for the Clowns, but they were

1:38:22 chasing five runs, so

1:38:25 that ended up not helping them in the

1:38:27 points department.

1:38:29 But Dale starting to swing a hot stick.

1:38:31 three for five on the weekend.

1:38:40 >> Yo,

1:38:43 if you had

1:38:45 one shot, one opportunity

1:38:49 to seize everything you've ever wanted

1:38:52 in one moment.

1:38:55 Would you capture it

1:38:58 >> or just let it slip? His palms are

1:39:00 sweaty. He's weak. Arms are heavy.

1:39:02 There's vomit on his sweater already.

1:39:04 Mom's spaghetti. He's nervous. But on

1:39:06 the surface, he looks calm and ready to

1:39:08 drop bombs. But he keeps on forgetting

1:39:11 what he wrote down. The whole crowd goes

1:39:13 so loud. He opens his mouth, but the

1:39:15 words won't come out. He's choking how

1:39:18 everybody's joking now. The clocks run

1:39:20 out. Times up over. Blow. Snap back to

1:39:23 reality.

1:39:29 And we snap back to reality. One-two

1:39:31 pitch. Fouled back.

1:39:35 Not caught.

1:39:38 >> Oh, Brandon and Jarius. They are

1:39:40 superstars.

1:39:43 So much fun having them around as that's

1:39:46 going to be a strike out, but Dale

1:39:47 Francis Jr. on his horse beats it out to

1:39:50 first. Alex Ziggler, the designated

1:39:53 fielder, trying to grab a trick play.

1:39:55 Good hustle. It'll go as a strikeout

1:39:58 swinging. Drury's fifth of the night,

1:40:01 but Francis with the hustle, able to

1:40:03 reach on it.

1:40:08 So, a strike out and a pass ball, I'm

1:40:10 assuming.

1:40:12 Josh nods his head in agreement.

1:40:17 A one coming to Joe Gray Jr.

1:40:20 make it 0 and2. You talked about it

1:40:22 earlier. A high strikeout rate was part

1:40:25 of what the Brewers talked about with

1:40:28 Joe Gray and their acknowledgement of

1:40:30 him as AD no chance swinging bunt. But

1:40:33 Josh, you told the story very well back

1:40:35 on the opening night of the tour. The

1:40:37 Brewers were also at fault for Joe Gray

1:40:39 having that high strikeout rate. They

1:40:41 had him get Lasix surgery and didn't

1:40:43 realize that it actually made his vision

1:40:46 regress and all of a sudden that's when

1:40:48 his strikeout rate spiked. Yeah, it was

1:40:50 really interesting because you saw that

1:40:53 strikeout rate at 36.3%

1:40:57 for Joe Gray. His WRC plus was just 65,

1:41:02 making him quite below average in that

1:41:05 respective minor league level. But

1:41:07 eventually Joe Gray started to see a

1:41:10 little bit of a turnaround as from June

1:41:14 22nd onward he wound up with a 101 WRC

1:41:18 plus and definitely cut down on that

1:41:21 strikeout rate. It went from what I said

1:41:23 36%

1:41:25 to 25 12%. It was because he went to the

1:41:29 eye doctor and they realized the lasic

1:41:31 surgery

1:41:32 made the vision in his left eye worse

1:41:34 not better.

1:41:38 had the wrong contact prescription in.

1:41:41 >> That's pretty important being able to

1:41:42 see the baseball shattered bat. Rack

1:41:45 cleans it up

1:41:47 >> as Kirkland Banks is retired. And here's

1:41:50 Gillum

1:41:51 >> from the US women's national baseball

1:41:55 team and the number one draft pick in

1:41:58 the Women's Professional Baseball

1:42:00 League, Kelsey Whitmore.

1:42:21 For a second straight night here in

1:42:22 Angel Stadium,

1:42:25 over 45,000 fans get to see the number

1:42:28 one overall pick in the Women's

1:42:30 Professional Baseball League draft.

1:42:33 Plet here in Banana Ball. And Kelsey so

1:42:36 far has been perfect. Five batters

1:42:39 faced, five retired, two via the K.

1:42:41 Yeah, she's just looked very dominant

1:42:44 out on the pitcher match. She got to

1:42:45 face off against Chris Burgess, arguably

1:42:47 the hottest bat in this Clown's lineup.

1:42:50 Set him down. He flew out to center

1:42:52 field in one of Darm Meadow's five trick

1:42:55 plays last night. And tonight, she faces

1:42:58 another former Orioles minor leager,

1:43:00 Jaylen Vasquez, the leadoff man. One for

1:43:02 two tonight.

1:43:05 Highf fly ball deep out to right center.

1:43:08 Cruz ranging over. We'll snag it on the

1:43:10 run. And it's six batters faced, six

1:43:14 retired here in year number two as a

1:43:16 Savannah Banana for Kelsey Whitmore.

1:43:18 Nanners up 3-0.

1:43:37 fans. Please join the bananas and clowns

1:43:40 in honoring the men and women that serve

1:43:43 this great nation as we salute

1:43:48 our hometown heroes of the night. We

1:43:50 thank you for your service and

1:43:52 commitment to our great country,

1:43:56 to our police officers,

1:44:00 to our firefighters,

1:44:03 to our nurses,

1:44:06 to our EMS workers,

1:44:10 to our dispatchers,

1:44:13 and to our school teachers.

1:44:18 The bananas and clowns say thank you so

1:44:22 very much

1:44:47 YouTube. I hope you're enjoying watching

1:44:49 Eli Payton dance.

1:44:52 Is this Poison? Who is this?

1:44:55 De Leopard.

1:45:02 Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

1:45:04 ESPN app, Disney Plus, and the Savannah

1:45:06 Bananas YouTube channel. First time

1:45:08 coming to the dish tonight. Eli Payton

1:45:11 with a specialty walk up. The kid out of

1:45:14 La Kinyatta,

1:45:15 California. a diehard Los Angeles

1:45:20 Dodgers fan

1:45:22 and he joins us on the broadcast. Eli,

1:45:24 how's your night here at Angel Stadium?

1:45:26 >> What's up, guys? It's a pleasure to be

1:45:27 on the mic. It is an absolute dream to

1:45:30 be on this field right now and playing

1:45:32 against the Bananas. I mean, couldn't

1:45:34 ask for more. So, I'm fired up.

1:45:36 >> We got the big guy, Vinnie Sanariro,

1:45:38 6'7, 250 on the bump.

1:45:43 >> Former Dodgers minor leager.

1:45:45 >> Oh, yeah. Speak of the devil.

1:45:47 >> Yes, he does. And it is easy speed.

1:45:50 Although four straight bad ones to Dr.

1:45:52 Meadows. So Eli, you're into the ball

1:45:55 for sprint defense

1:45:57 and able to hold Meadows to one base.

1:46:00 Our second sprint of the night.

1:46:04 And now Reese Alexi will swing it. Eli,

1:46:08 talk about

1:46:09 what this is like for you. Two sold out

1:46:12 crowds in Angel Stadium are holding down

1:46:14 third base. You've made a handful of

1:46:16 fantastic plays over there. It's got to

1:46:18 be just about as as cool as it gets,

1:46:19 huh?

1:46:20 >> Yeah. Having my whole family in the

1:46:21 stands is really special. I mean, I get

1:46:23 to see all of them after the game. My

1:46:25 beautiful girlfriend, my family, my

1:46:27 parents. It's really cool.

1:46:31 >> Towering fly ball. Nicolesizer will snag

1:46:34 it the oldfashioned way.

1:46:35 >> And shout out to you guys. The plaza

1:46:37 party was sick earlier. That was so much

1:46:39 fun hitting those baseballs with you,

1:46:41 Vico. That was sick.

1:46:43 Well, thank you so much for joining us.

1:46:44 That is a really cool experience. You

1:46:47 are fantastic. Meadows off for second.

1:46:49 No throw from Burgess.

1:46:51 Dr. Perfect 10 for 10 now in stolen

1:46:53 bases. Pacing Mtor

1:46:59 and a 20 count on Max Young Goldberg.

1:47:02 So, from UCLA to Grand Canyon University

1:47:06 to a year in the Pioneer League with the

1:47:07 Glacier Range Riders, when did you start

1:47:11 thinking about Banana Ball being a

1:47:12 possibility?

1:47:13 >> So, I saw all the other guys in the uh

1:47:16 Pioneer League getting reached out to by

1:47:17 Barry and I actually reached out to

1:47:18 Barry. I was like, I got to do this.

1:47:22 >> Dale Francis pulling off the professor,

1:47:24 flipping it to Sanieriro in time.

1:47:28 Second trick play of the night for

1:47:29 Francis over at first, right? And

1:47:31 there's a Pioneer League guy in MJG who

1:47:33 just grounded out.

1:47:33 >> Yep. Yep. A lot of Pioneer guys, you

1:47:35 know, Reese Alexi was one of the best

1:47:38 guys to come out of there and it's kind

1:47:40 of paved the way. So, it's been it's

1:47:42 been really cool.

1:47:43 >> So, when we focus on Banana Ball now,

1:47:46 Eli, what went into the signature walkup

1:47:48 tonight? Were you a big fan of a Goofy

1:47:50 Movie and Power Line growing up?

1:47:52 >> I've watched the movie Nick Wilson.

1:47:54 Shout out to him. He proposed it and he

1:47:57 was like, "This needs to be you. You're

1:47:59 so goofy. Go out there, have fun." And I

1:48:02 think I killed it. What do you guys

1:48:03 think?

1:48:04 >> You nailed it, man. It looked real good.

1:48:07 >> That's a good poke deep to right. Dan

1:48:09 over. First

1:48:11 >> twoun shot.

1:48:13 >> Nice.

1:48:15 >> Second long ball on the year for Danny

1:48:17 O.

1:48:24 They've both been oppo tacos. It is easy

1:48:27 opposite field power for Dan Overburst.

1:48:29 His fourth opposite field knock of the

1:48:32 season. Two of them have been long

1:48:34 balls. And Danny Overbur, he's about to

1:48:37 chat with Sam Bowman. Maybe

1:48:40 >> Danny Over. Southern California loving.

1:48:42 Is that the magic?

1:48:43 >> Yeah, California knows how to party.

1:48:45 That ball was hit really hard. Sam,

1:48:48 >> he gets it because Josh.

1:48:51 Oh man, Dan is very honest when he

1:48:54 barrels a ball. I'm sure that's

1:48:56 something you can relate to, Eli.

1:48:58 >> That was hilarious. That ball was

1:49:00 crushed. So, did it go off the foul

1:49:02 pole? I didn't really see it.

1:49:03 >> It snuck in just inside.

1:49:06 >> Well, Dan is now a triple away from the

1:49:08 cycle. Kyle Jackson at the dish is a

1:49:10 home run away from the cycle.

1:49:12 >> These guys are swinging it well tonight.

1:49:14 Our pitchers are doing great, but

1:49:15 they're just putting good swings on the

1:49:16 ball. Oh my gosh.

1:49:17 >> Deep drive out to right. Kyle Jackson

1:49:23 >> has hit for the cycle.

1:49:26 >> Only the second player in Banana Ball

1:49:28 history to do so. KJ does it in his

1:49:31 first four at bats tonight at Angel

1:49:33 Stadium.

1:49:35 >> Wow.

1:49:41 The kid is something else in the fifth

1:49:44 inning, the first cycle in Savannah

1:49:46 Banana's history. And the superstar is

1:49:50 with Sam Bman.

1:49:52 >> KJ, first cycle in Bananas history. Come

1:49:55 on. God is good. I was telling the

1:49:57 homies. I told him I was going to hit

1:49:58 home run. My X and I I did. KJ says it.

1:50:02 It happens. First ever.

1:50:05 >> Did he say I was telling the homies?

1:50:10 >> I think he was saying the homies.

1:50:12 >> Okay, we'll say homies.

1:50:13 >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. TBD. We'll have to go

1:50:16 back and check the tape. I kind of think

1:50:17 either might work.

1:50:21 Oh, by the way, that's backto back home

1:50:22 runs over and Kyle Jackson.

1:50:25 >> Oh god.

1:50:26 >> As Bill Loy deep drive out to left and

1:50:29 it is warning track power. Joe Gray Jr.

1:50:31 tracks it down. So Obururst joins you in

1:50:35 the two homer club. KJ with his third

1:50:37 bomb. Eli Payeyton, thanks for joining

1:50:39 us.

1:50:39 >> That was awesome. Appreciate you guys.

1:50:41 Let's go clowns.

1:50:42 >> Thank you, Eli.

1:50:45 They've

1:50:59 got what it takes to get all the way to

1:51:01 the finish line. Babies, on your mark,

1:51:04 get set, go. And they're off.

1:51:11 And look at the speed. Here comes

1:51:13 Charlie. Charlie's off to a great lead,

1:51:17 but here comes Aurora.

1:51:20 Aurora's going fast. Charlie's going

1:51:23 sideways. And we got a stander. We got

1:51:26 Nate. Ardan is standing. What is

1:51:29 happening?

1:51:31 Ardan is now walking.

1:51:34 This is crazy. He's taking his steps and

1:51:38 he's down.

1:51:40 Aurora is coming up.

1:51:42 going to check on Ardan. Look at the

1:51:46 sportsmanship from Aurora.

1:51:49 And Charlie's going to check on him as

1:51:51 well. They are Oh, we've got movement.

1:51:57 Here comes Harden.

1:51:59 Harden go.

1:52:03 Here he goes.

1:52:05 And to the finish line, we got a winner.

1:52:12 That may have been his first steps.

1:52:14 Unbelievable.

1:52:18 >> Oh myanta. That kid just locked to win

1:52:21 the world's slowest race.

1:52:27 >> Another look at the Dan Oburst two-run

1:52:30 homer.

1:52:32 And then immediately following it, Kyle

1:52:35 Jackson, the solo shot. And in one

1:52:39 swing, he ties Jose Gonzalez Jr. for the

1:52:42 tour lead in long balls and joins Jakeal

1:52:45 as the only two players to hit for the

1:52:47 cycle in banana ball history.

1:52:51 Liner past the scoop of Alex Ziegler.

1:52:55 Jackie Bradley Jr. is going to cruise

1:52:58 into second with a standup double.

1:53:02 First pitch ambush against Jacob Bazella

1:53:06 as the Clowns are chasing three runs

1:53:08 here in the bottom of the fifth.

1:53:13 JBJ a homer his first time so he's

1:53:15 halfway to the cycle

1:53:21 and a heck of a stop. Bill Loy

1:53:25 somehow keeps that close enough to him

1:53:28 to keep Jackie Bradley Jr. on second and

1:53:30 Bobby Leday in the batters box.

1:53:34 Leed a single his first time then flew

1:53:36 into a backflip catch from Dr. Meadows

1:53:42 the third manner to hurl the pill

1:53:44 tonight and there goes Leeday.

1:53:47 So not on the first pitch but the second

1:53:49 pitch of the plate appearance. Bobby

1:53:50 Leeday steals first base for the first

1:53:53 time in his rookie campaign.

1:54:03 Little check on JBJ. Nothing go

1:54:07 >> and the days

1:54:09 second steal of the ball game. He's up

1:54:10 to six on the year. Plugged Jackie

1:54:13 Bradley Jr. in the Tokus it looked like

1:54:15 there. Well, this outing so far is going

1:54:18 against a lot of the trends for Jacoba.

1:54:21 Guy who is still yet to allow an earned

1:54:23 run this season for the Bananas. that is

1:54:25 currently in jeopardy. And he hadn't

1:54:27 allowed a hit to a left-handed batter

1:54:29 until Jackie Bradley Jr. roped that

1:54:31 double to open up the bottom of the

1:54:33 fifth. Hot shot knocked down by Kyle

1:54:36 Jackson. Heave across the diamond in

1:54:38 time.

1:54:40 Takes a knock away from Chris Burgess.

1:54:43 JBJ stays put at third. Leday up to

1:54:45 second.

1:54:56 So Nicolesizer with two runners in

1:54:58 scoring position takes his turn as the

1:55:00 inning's tying run.

1:55:05 Does not bite on the slider. So a four

1:55:09 seam fast ball, curve ball, splitter,

1:55:11 and knuckle ball in the repertoire for

1:55:13 Jake Bazella. And that is a sword as the

1:55:16 kids call it. Another breaking ball.

1:55:18 That time it fools

1:55:20 Paulizer.

1:55:27 Good scoop by Loy as the count moves to

1:55:29 two and one.

1:55:35 Couple Pennsylvania guys squaring off.

1:55:37 So much about the Florida and California

1:55:39 kids.

1:55:41 But Holizer out of Mton, Pennsylvania.

1:55:44 Bazela out of North Huntington, PA. and

1:55:47 he wins the battle between the Keystone

1:55:50 State kids. Goes back to the bender,

1:55:52 gets a huge strike out for out number

1:55:54 two. Yeah, Big Red is having pretty

1:55:58 phenomenal start to his banana ball

1:56:00 career. A guy drafted in the 10th round,

1:56:03 second to last round for the Savannah

1:56:05 Bananas. And they've been really

1:56:07 impressed, the coaching staff, with what

1:56:09 he has been able to do as Eli Payton

1:56:11 lifts this one high in the air in foul

1:56:14 territory. Alex Zagler snags it behind

1:56:17 the back and it is another point tonight

1:56:20 for the Savannah Bananas and the first

1:56:22 trick play of the night for their

1:56:24 designated fielder.

1:56:48 desire

1:56:52 when I say I want it that way. Tell me

1:56:58 whyin't

1:57:00 going.

1:57:02 Tell me why. Ain't nothing but a

1:57:05 mistake. Tell me why I never want to

1:57:09 hear you say I want it that way.

1:57:26 Well, YouTube got a little peek at Tyler

1:57:29 Gillum and Dan Oburst doing their best

1:57:32 impersonation of University of

1:57:34 Maryland's women's basketball head coach

1:57:37 Brenda Free chatting with her star

1:57:41 Akenwa

1:57:43 pumping her up. I'm not sure if you

1:57:45 could hear what Gillan was saying. I

1:57:46 couldn't.

1:57:51 But the too long didn't read is I

1:57:54 believe in you, but you're going to have

1:57:55 to want to do this yourself. And I

1:57:57 assume that's to Dan Obururst about

1:58:00 becoming the third player in Banana Ball

1:58:02 history to hit for the cycle. He's he's

1:58:05 a triple away.

1:58:07 Not do up for a while though. It's going

1:58:08 to be Jackson Olsson, Robert Anthony

1:58:10 Cruz, Ty Jackson, and Ryan Cox. Four

1:58:12 guys at the bottom of the order

1:58:15 >> leading off the top of the sixth inning.

1:58:18 Still got Meadows, Alexiotis, Young

1:58:20 Goldberg, and then you get to Obururst.

1:58:36 We are back with live banana ball here

1:58:39 on the ESPN app, Disney Plus, and the

1:58:41 Savannah Bananas YouTube channel as

1:58:43 Jackson Olsson golfs the first offering

1:58:45 from Gage Vorhees out to left center.

1:58:47 Gage Vorhees tip drill or that would be

1:58:50 Joe Gray Jr. tip drill to Jackie Bradley

1:58:53 Jr.

1:58:57 Gray to JBJ.

1:59:00 Third trick play on the evening for the

1:59:03 Indianapolis Clowns who trail 4 nothing

1:59:05 in the allimportant points department.

1:59:08 They now turn

1:59:10 to a former Nanner. Ugly swing there

1:59:12 from Rack. Ball in a strike. Vorhees a

1:59:15 2022 collegiate banana was on the squad

1:59:18 last year

1:59:21 as

1:59:23 Dale Francis Jr. How about it? He picks

1:59:26 up his third trick play of the evening.

1:59:30 Clowns doing a heck of a job denying the

1:59:32 Bananas an equalizer point opportunity.

1:59:35 They're actually up to eight trick

1:59:36 plays. It's the Nanners who have three

1:59:38 overall.

1:59:40 The only problem is the Clowns trailing

1:59:43 four in the old fashioned points

1:59:45 department. Yeah, unfortunately for the

1:59:46 Clowns right now, Gage Borhees is

1:59:48 working awfully quickly against his

1:59:51 former team. Last time he pitched, gave

1:59:54 up 13 earned runs. Certainly not the

1:59:57 outcome he wanted, but he's been a very

1:59:59 resilient guy. And he is already ahead

2:00:02 in the count. One, two, against Ty

2:00:04 Jackson. High leg kick for Borhees and a

2:00:08 slider that he can't get Jackson to whip

2:00:10 at. Gage on his third banana ball team.

2:00:13 Look out, Ty. His former collegiate

2:00:16 bananas and pro teammate. Little

2:00:18 gyration after nearly getting a heater

2:00:21 to the noggin. Another look. Yow, look

2:00:23 out. And now a payoff pitch.

2:00:27 Back up the middle, Bobby Leeday between

2:00:29 the legs. Make it nine trick plays on

2:00:32 the night for the Indianapolis Clowns.

2:00:35 And a one, two, three inning for Gage

2:00:36 Borhees. Heck of a bounceback outing for

2:00:39 the Banana Ball Veter

2:00:52 because we've got Brandon, Jarius, and

2:00:54 Derek. They are all going to have to

2:00:56 sing a song for you. It's a popular

2:00:58 song, but in a random genre. This is

2:01:01 music roulette, and you're going to

2:01:03 decide who is the winner. All right,

2:01:07 Brandon, let's take a look. What do we

2:01:09 got? Fresh Prince of Bel Air. That's a

2:01:11 country song. Hit it.

2:01:20 In West Philadelphia, born and raised on

2:01:23 the playground where I spend the most of

2:01:25 my days. Chilling out, maxing, relaxing,

2:01:28 all cool. Pluting some beatball outside

2:01:31 school. When a couple of guys, they were

2:01:34 up to no good. Started making trouble in

2:01:36 my neighborhood. I got in one little

2:01:39 fight. My mom got scared. She said,

2:01:41 "You're moving with your auntie and

2:01:42 uncle."

2:01:44 >> Wow. All right. Strong start. Strong

2:01:48 start. Jarius, you got to follow that.

2:01:50 Let's see what you got.

2:01:54 You're going to sing You Are the Music

2:01:56 in Me as a reggae tune.

2:01:59 Hit it.

2:02:06 N

2:02:10 you are the music you need

2:02:14 when I play my favorite song. I know

2:02:18 that we

2:02:22 are the music.

2:02:25 >> All right, we're vibing. That was good,

2:02:27 too.

2:02:28 >> Derek Cla, you got to take us home. You

2:02:30 got some stiff competition. Let's find

2:02:32 out what your fate is. What are we

2:02:34 singing?

2:02:36 We've got

2:02:37 hot in her

2:02:39 as a Broadway musical. Take it away,

2:02:42 Derek.

2:02:47 >> Good gracious bodies bacious

2:02:51 flirtious goddess your faces.

2:02:55 Looking for the right time to shoot my

2:02:58 steam. Looking for the right time to

2:03:01 flesh them keys.

2:03:04 Looking for the right time to f.

2:03:22 Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

2:03:25 ESPN app, Disney Plus, the Savannah

2:03:27 Bananas YouTube channel from Angel

2:03:29 Stadium

2:03:31 in beautiful Anaheim, California.

2:03:34 Full House on hand for a second straight

2:03:37 night.

2:03:39 Folks listening to Derek Clenna sing hot

2:03:42 in here Broadway style.

2:03:47 As you can see, Big Red back out on the

2:03:49 bump. Jacob Aela

2:03:52 We'll get another inning of work. It was

2:03:53 a sticky one in the fifth.

2:03:56 >> Runners on first and third with nobody

2:03:59 out. He escaped unscathed and he was

2:04:03 still able to do that in 3 minutes and

2:04:05 24 seconds for the Bananas. And he has

2:04:08 worked awfully quick. One of four

2:04:10 pitchers on the Bananas currently with

2:04:13 an average minutes perenning mark below

2:04:15 four minutes this season. And he's got a

2:04:18 118 MPI plus which means he has been 18%

2:04:22 faster than the tour average arm this

2:04:25 year.

2:04:26 >> Caro Prime out to left. His good friend

2:04:29 Ty Jackson behind the back.

2:04:32 Kiss of the banana ball. Tie two fly. A

2:04:35 perfect two for two and trick plays.

2:04:37 Bazela caught the throw all the way from

2:04:39 Tai behind his back. I don't know if we

2:04:42 got it on the broadcast and we're not

2:04:44 going to give you a replay right now

2:04:46 unfortunately. So, I'm so sorry to tell

2:04:49 you about something that I don't think

2:04:50 you saw, but that was ridiculous. KJ was

2:04:53 gobsmacked at their base,

2:04:55 >> and that's coming from the guy who's hit

2:04:57 for the cycle tonight.

2:04:59 >> Now, Dale Francis Jr. with that out to

2:05:02 start this sixth inning. But Bazelle is

2:05:05 up to seven innings on the year

2:05:07 scoreless without an earned run.

2:05:11 That that's the most innings on the tour

2:05:12 without allowing an earned run. That was

2:05:14 the splitter. Dale Francis Jr. fouled it

2:05:16 off his foot. not comfortable. Yeah,

2:05:17 he's one of three guys on the tour right

2:05:20 now with more than four innings pitched

2:05:22 who still has an earned run average of

2:05:24 zero. It's him, his teammate Danny

2:05:26 Hosley, and Zack Smith of the Loco Beach

2:05:29 Coconuts. Blake Benson actually joined

2:05:31 the club tonight. He's up to four and a

2:05:34 third scoreless.

2:05:36 It's just a just a group of four as

2:05:39 Bazale is dancing and it looks like

2:05:41 Jesse Cole is out on the field. Now

2:05:43 coming to pitch a threetime allstar who

2:05:48 pitched a no hitter for your Anaheim

2:05:50 Angels. Please welcome

2:05:54 >> Jared Weaver.

2:06:24 Vincent Chapman, ever the opportunist.

2:06:27 What a special treat this is for the

2:06:29 over 45,000 fans on hand here in Angel

2:06:33 Stadium. 43 years old. Jared Weaver. You

2:06:36 take a look at the career. A fantastic

2:06:38 one. every single season in the bigs

2:06:42 except for one spent here in Anaheim.

2:06:44 Yeah, Jared Weaver just one of the

2:06:46 greatest pitchers in Angels franchise

2:06:48 history. I'm in the ace for the early to

2:06:51 mid 2010s of course through that no

2:06:54 hitter in 2012. He even got to start the

2:06:57 2012 All-Star game in Kansas City as

2:07:00 well. I mean he had a heck of career

2:07:03 career and is very beloved here.

2:07:07 >> Ball in a strike on Joe Gray Jr.

2:07:11 Battle of Titans here.

2:07:15 >> Another fast ball high and tight

2:07:19 >> to a guy who spent six years in minor

2:07:21 league baseball against a guy on the

2:07:22 mound who spent a dozen years in the

2:07:24 bigs.

2:07:30 It's that same

2:07:34 >> easy wind up for the 67 righty Jared

2:07:38 Weaver not thrilled he gave up the ball

2:07:39 for sprint

2:07:42 >> as Joe Gray Jr. representing the inning

2:07:44 winning run is aboard for a third time

2:07:47 tonight. Couple sprints and a single.

2:07:53 >> Kyle Jackson handed the ball back to

2:07:55 Jared Weaver. gave him a little pep talk

2:07:57 as he now climbs back on the mound. And

2:08:00 you can just see how competitive he

2:08:02 still is. I mean, this is a guy had

2:08:04 three straight years finishing in the

2:08:05 top five in Sai Young voting. Dr.

2:08:08 Meadows tip drill. Reese Alexi will tip

2:08:12 it himself. Meadows gets the trick play.

2:08:16 Alexi there to secure it. and Jared

2:08:19 Weaver pulling off whatever the heck

2:08:22 that dance is that I still don't know

2:08:24 about with Jake Bazelle as they combined

2:08:26 for a scoreless bottom of the sixth

2:08:28 inning.

2:08:31 >> And along the way, Meadows nabbing his

2:08:33 tour leading 21st trick play on the

2:08:36 year.

2:08:53 Heck of a banana ball debut for Jared

2:08:55 Weaver. So cool to see a guy from Semi

2:08:58 Valley, California, about an hour and a

2:08:59 half north of Angel Stadium as a diving

2:09:01 stop. Bobby Leay 360 to first

2:09:05 in time. The scoop from Dale Francis Jr.

2:09:09 to secure it. slap a star in your

2:09:11 scorebook at home for Leeday.

2:09:14 Well, as far as the middle infielders

2:09:16 went leading up to that banana ball

2:09:18 player draft last season, Bobby Leay far

2:09:21 and away the most impressive resume. And

2:09:24 it's because not only he carries a big

2:09:28 stick up to the plate, but he has an

2:09:30 incredible glove over there at the

2:09:32 shortstop position. Disco Nick Wilson

2:09:35 breaking it down on the bump. An 01

2:09:38 count on Dr. Meadows

2:09:41 with a wave ripping through Angel

2:09:43 Stadium. The count evens up at a ball

2:09:44 and a strike. Wilson's been fantastic in

2:09:47 his young banana ball career. This one

2:09:49 lined out to right center. It'll fall

2:09:50 just in front of JBJ and Dr. slams the

2:09:54 brakes rounding first

2:09:57 for the third time tonight. Single with

2:10:00 a couple sprints.

2:10:02 But Nick Wilson with the out that he's

2:10:04 got to start this frame is up to five

2:10:06 innings on the year. Just one earned

2:10:08 run. That was only the third hit he's

2:10:09 allowed. He's only given up one ball for

2:10:11 Sprint. He struck out six. It's been

2:10:14 Nick Wilson and David Griffin. Absolute

2:10:16 studs

2:10:18 for this Clown's pitching staff. Trying

2:10:21 to find some more consistent arms around

2:10:23 those two. And he's already struck out

2:10:25 the side in his young banana ball career

2:10:28 doing that against the Texas Tailgator.

2:10:30 I mean, he's just passed all the bars

2:10:32 with flying colors. and he's pretty much

2:10:35 just doing it with a fast ball slider.

2:10:38 He's got a change up in his back pocket,

2:10:39 but he says as he's a reliever here with

2:10:41 Dr. taking off, that one's going to go

2:10:43 over our heads.

2:10:46 Says, "As a reliever, I don't really

2:10:47 need any more pitches, especially when

2:10:49 the fans are catching foul balls in the

2:10:51 third deck. Reeseianis retired by the

2:10:55 home state crowd for him."

2:10:58 It was literally on top of Josh and I,

2:11:01 so we had no chance to see it. You know

2:11:03 what is one of the most surprising

2:11:05 things? Three foul outs to the fans this

2:11:08 series and they have all gone against

2:11:10 the Savannah Bananas. It's been Kyle

2:11:13 Jackson and then two California natives.

2:11:16 Rack and Reese Select the other victims.

2:11:20 Dr. his second steal of the night. He's

2:11:22 a perfect 11 for 11 on the year. Still

2:11:25 pacing the Banana Ball Championship

2:11:27 League. and Max Young Goldberg ready for

2:11:30 an 02. Swing and a miss. Nasty slider

2:11:34 from Nick Wilson. Show him the nanners.

2:11:36 Why? This guy's one of the best in the

2:11:39 biz. Clown's third round draft pick

2:11:42 making it look easy.

2:11:44 Strands Meadows on second.

2:11:47 And let's get it on down to the field to

2:11:50 check back in with our friend Sam

2:11:52 Bowman.

2:11:55 Yeah, thanks VO Josh. We got Jared

2:11:57 Weaver here with us. Jared, you were

2:11:59 coming off. You said catching my breath

2:12:01 a little bit after that.

2:12:02 >> Yeah, I blew a lot out of shape. You

2:12:03 know, it's been a little while since

2:12:04 I've been on the treadmill or nothing,

2:12:06 but uh you know, that was fun, man. That

2:12:08 was really cool. Uh nerve-wracking, I'm

2:12:10 not going to lie, but glad I got through

2:12:12 it.

2:12:12 >> What it mean? I know your family was out

2:12:14 here with you a little bit earlier

2:12:15 today. For them to come out and watch

2:12:16 you get up on the mound again, too.

2:12:18 >> No. Yeah. My youngest has never seen me

2:12:20 pitch and my other two were real young.

2:12:22 So, to come out here and, you know, have

2:12:24 them uh be a part of this was cool. Oh,

2:12:25 they're big banana fans and uh they're

2:12:28 they're loving it up in the sweet life

2:12:30 right now.

2:12:30 >> Dared, finally a little nervousness when

2:12:32 you saw your outfielder not go for a

2:12:33 clean catch there. Just a tip.

2:12:35 >> Well, I've uh I've seen that in in Major

2:12:37 League Baseball, too. So, I was more

2:12:39 than confident of them coming up with

2:12:40 it. So, it was all good.

2:12:42 >> Jared Weaver, thanks for joining us. He

2:12:43 looks good in yellow. Bo Josh, thanks

2:12:46 SB. Thank you for the time, Jared

2:12:48 Weaver. really appreciate the Angels

2:12:51 legend gracing us with his presence

2:12:54 here in the park. He spent 11 years

2:12:56 hurling in in Angel Stadium. Allan Sat,

2:13:01 former Mariners minor leager takes over

2:13:03 on the bump for the Bananas. He's got

2:13:06 the top of this Clowns lineup. Jaylen

2:13:08 Vasquez, Jackie Bradley Jr., Bobby Leay.

2:13:12 It just takes one run here in the last

2:13:15 of the seven for the Clowns to finally

2:13:16 get that first point tonight.

2:13:21 Pop to the right side. Alex Eagler

2:13:23 already won trick play tonight. Make it

2:13:25 no.

2:13:29 Ziggy 11 for 11 on the years in his

2:13:32 trick plays. If Sat can get JV, it will

2:13:35 stay that way. But if Vasquez reaches,

2:13:37 that'll be Ziggler's first trick play

2:13:39 missed here at his fifth world tour.

2:13:41 And

2:13:44 so it is predicted.

2:13:46 It is now written in stone. Vasquez

2:13:48 trying to get two bases. Tag from tie in

2:13:50 time.

2:13:52 JV wants a challenge. We haven't had one

2:13:54 this. Well, we didn't have one last

2:13:56 night rather. We had one earlier.

2:13:59 Leedo in a third. Oh boy. This call is

2:14:01 going to stand if they do challenge it.

2:14:06 Vasquez has fantastic speed trying to

2:14:08 get into scoring position for JBJ and

2:14:11 company. And now the Clowns Oh, it's the

2:14:14 fans challenging. Terrific

2:14:18 fan challenge ended up in the hands of

2:14:21 an Indianapolis Clowns fan as it's a

2:14:23 home game for them tonight. But

2:14:26 unfortunately,

2:14:27 although I think it was the perfect play

2:14:29 to challenge, Bang Bang at second late

2:14:31 in the game. Big moment. Vincent Chapman

2:14:35 certainly made the right call there.

2:14:37 >> And Andrew Gerard, the crew chief,

2:14:39 confirms it.

2:14:42 >> Well, if I'm a fan here in this ball

2:14:44 game, I get that fan challenge. The

2:14:45 confetti popper in my hand. I want to

2:14:47 use it. I don't want to go home having

2:14:49 not popped it. I like the call by the

2:14:51 fans. Unfortunately, not able to work

2:14:53 out for them or the Indianapolis Clowns.

2:14:56 So, the Nanners defense pick up their

2:14:59 big righty.

2:15:06 set off the tallest 61 that you'll see

2:15:08 in your entire life. Looks like he's 6'8

2:15:11 from the booth out of Ridgely, Maryland.

2:15:17 Look out. Oh my goodness gracious.

2:15:22 Jackie Bradley Jr. a heater towards the

2:15:24 Bananas dugout. 2-2 now to JBJ. Count

2:15:27 runs full.

2:15:36 And that's a scorcher into right field.

2:15:40 Alexiest look towards first. No offer.

2:15:45 And don't look now, but Jackie Bradley

2:15:46 Junior's a triple away from the cycle.

2:15:50 Three for four on the night. Inning

2:15:53 winning run back aboard.

2:15:55 was only on base for a second before JV

2:15:58 was out at second thanks to the Banana

2:16:01 Sprint defense as Bobby Leidday with a

2:16:03 cloud scraper out to right and wow Alexi

2:16:11 jump scare for Jackson Olson as the

2:16:13 Nanner's right fielder makes the play

2:16:15 and Alexi you see him just smiling right

2:16:19 at Jackson

2:16:21 the minute he makes that catch mean that

2:16:24 is just two teammates having a little

2:16:26 bit of fun with one another.

2:16:28 >> We did not realize live that Jackie went

2:16:30 for the behind the back catch. Oh yeah.

2:16:33 Oh yeah.

2:16:37 >> Two count on Chris Burgess.

2:16:40 Worm burner to Ryan Cox between the

2:16:42 electric trick play. Alex Ziggler behind

2:16:45 the back.

2:16:47 A double trick play from the Nanners

2:16:49 Keystone State connection. And big Allen

2:16:52 Sat puts up a goose egg. Mayers now down

2:16:55 just two trick plays as they pursue the

2:16:57 equalizer point.

2:17:04 >> Looks like we've got some more

2:17:05 shenanigans a foot.

2:17:20 Come

2:17:24 on.

2:18:19 Heat.

2:18:40 Heat.

2:18:58 Eastston Parish, Jedi Warrior, takes a

2:19:01 fast ball for strike one from Brett

2:19:03 Maddock,

2:19:06 >> the eighth Indianapolis clown to pitch

2:19:08 tonight.

2:19:10 >> Misses down and in with the bender.

2:19:15 Oh my gosh. Shattered bat. The

2:19:19 lightsaber

2:19:20 only lasts for one swing.

2:19:27 The director of entertainment, Zach

2:19:28 Franelo, said the custom lightsaber bat

2:19:31 should last for 10.

2:19:36 Looks like one swing.

2:19:38 Parish is back to his usual weapon of

2:19:41 choice. And he goes down swinging with

2:19:44 the oldfashioned bat. Brett Maddox.

2:19:47 Welcome to the ball game. Strike out on

2:19:50 his first fauxfaced.

2:19:56 It's fascinating too cuz Parish was

2:19:57 pinch hitting in Dan Ober's spot and Dan

2:20:01 Oburst is a triple away from the cycle.

2:20:11 Two balls and no strikes on Kyle Jackson

2:20:14 who has already hit for the cycle

2:20:23 and now 3 0

2:20:27 KJ giving Madic a clean lane to throw

2:20:31 heater right down the shoot

2:20:36 and a towering pop home run in an

2:20:38 elevator shaft. Who's got it? Bobby Leay

2:20:41 tip. Jaylen Vasquez there to put it

2:20:44 away. And KJ finally retired in his

2:20:47 fifth trip to home plate.

2:20:52 Good communication by the way from Bobby

2:20:54 Leay calling off Eli Payton and Jaylen

2:20:57 Vasquez and communicating, hey, I'm

2:20:59 going to be tipping it y'all's way. And

2:21:02 it was Vasquez getting the ball towards

2:21:05 him in front of the second base bag and

2:21:07 collecting out number two.

2:21:10 One-1 count on Bill Laroy. What a

2:21:13 journey it's been for Brett Maddock.

2:21:14 Ninth round draft pick by the

2:21:16 Indianapolis Clowns. Guy who worked as a

2:21:18 nurse in an ER in Witchah, Kansas for

2:21:21 over 6 months. Was level one trauma

2:21:24 working 7:00 p.m. to 7 a.m. 12-hour

2:21:26 shifts.

2:21:36 became a nurse because he wanted to help

2:21:38 people out, have an impact on folks.

2:21:40 That one, Banana Ball, gets to have a

2:21:42 positive impact in a whole new way as he

2:21:45 gives up the sprint to Loy,

2:21:48 who's two for four on the night, reaches

2:21:49 for a third time, content with one base.

2:22:06 Brett showed up to the endal trial in

2:22:09 Kansas City in his full scrubs. Bryce

2:22:12 Grisafi fakes a steal towards second

2:22:15 base.

2:22:18 Ander's designated runner used for a

2:22:19 second time tonight

2:22:25 as Jackson Olsson off the end of the

2:22:26 bat. Nico Holesizer

2:22:30 there for route number three.

2:22:32 And Madak puts up an allimportant zero

2:22:36 for the Indianapolis Clowns. Looking for

2:22:38 a point before we get to our final

2:22:40 inning.

2:22:48 You guys have been special tonight. And

2:22:51 we're going to do one more big tradition

2:22:53 here. So, I need everyone to take out

2:22:54 your phones and turn on your

2:22:56 flashlights.

2:22:58 Everyone all the way around the stadium,

2:23:00 turn on your flashlights. And I want you

2:23:03 to sing as loud as you can a little

2:23:07 yellow. Here we go.

2:23:24 Everything you do

2:23:36 for you.

2:23:40 All the things you do.

2:23:51 So then I

2:24:06 keep it going. Here we go.

2:24:13 Oh yes.

2:24:28 >> We love you so much, Banana Nation.

2:24:30 >> Now, let's go Bananas.

2:24:33 >> And we love you so much. Everybody in

2:24:36 the chat here on the Bananas YouTube

2:24:38 channel. be back with ESPN and Disney

2:24:41 audience in about 20 seconds. But just

2:24:43 got to tell you, we're about to show

2:24:45 them a little snippet of yellow. We love

2:24:47 you, YouTube.

2:24:55 In the middle of the eighth inning here

2:24:57 in Angel Stadium, the full capacity

2:24:59 crowd of over 45,000 fans lit up the

2:25:03 night as the Nanners lead four to

2:25:07 nothing.

2:25:09 with Nicolesizer, Eli Payton, and Carell

2:25:12 Prime due to swing it. Tristan Lec, new

2:25:15 man out of the mound for the Nanners.

2:25:17 Towering pop goes into the seats. Not

2:25:21 caught. And the Bananas are trying to

2:25:23 chase the equalizer point. See if they

2:25:25 can potentially earn it. Down three

2:25:27 trick plays as things stand right now.

2:25:29 Lebeck threw his first five and a third

2:25:31 innings pitched. He has induced six

2:25:34 trick plays behind him. Hoping he can

2:25:36 try and get three or four here for the

2:25:40 Savannah Bananas. Looping curveball in

2:25:43 for strike two

2:25:47 goes to the change up but misses wide.

2:25:49 Brett Madak put up a very important zero

2:25:52 for the Clowns. This kid out of Oakdale,

2:25:53 California, about 5 hours up the road in

2:25:56 the Bay Area,

2:26:01 setting up his offense for a chance to

2:26:05 get their first point with just one run

2:26:07 here in the last of the eighth as the

2:26:09 count is now full on holeizer.

2:26:12 Go for three on the day and that changes

2:26:15 with one swing.

2:26:18 Will certainly be extra bases.

2:26:21 Third double of the year

2:26:25 >> for Nico here in his rookie campaign.

2:26:30 And I'm sure any baseball player, banana

2:26:32 ball player out there, that's a feeling

2:26:34 that they can relate to immensely.

2:26:38 Hardest thing to do in sports, hit a

2:26:39 baseball. Nico so thankful to be on

2:26:42 second base

2:26:44 as Eli Payton giving the fans an

2:26:46 opportunity.

2:26:48 They catching on a bobble, but it has to

2:26:50 be a clean catch. So, no out.

2:26:55 Ain't another Cali kid here on the

2:26:57 clowns as Jackson Olsson reacts to a

2:27:00 tough hop, but going for the trick play

2:27:01 pulls Maxon Goldberg off the bag.

2:27:05 That's massive cuz over to third. The

2:27:07 inning winning run now 90 ft away.

2:27:12 This is a sticky situation for LeC and

2:27:14 Olsson had to drift back to field that

2:27:17 bouncer. I think he kind of

2:27:18 overcorrected just trying to put a

2:27:20 little too much mustard on that throw

2:27:22 and it winds up pulling Goldberg off the

2:27:24 bag. And now the Clowns in a prime

2:27:27 position to finally earn that first

2:27:30 point tonight.

2:27:32 Speaking of prime position, Carell Prime

2:27:34 ahead 200. Look out. Holy moly.

2:27:38 Screaming line drive towards Bryce

2:27:40 Stober. Kobe Robinson. Huh? And the rest

2:27:42 of the Bananas team, the clown over

2:27:45 there as LeC tries to go between the

2:27:48 legs will scramble and get it out.

2:27:52 He was thinking about that equalizer

2:27:53 point. The Bananas would need four trick

2:27:55 plays here in the bottom of the eighth

2:27:58 to get it. That is a very big out though

2:28:02 as Holesizer still lurks on third

2:28:07 >> and no trick play on that.

2:28:11 Wall and no strikes to Dale Francis Jr.

2:28:22 >> Two and0. Remember, four balls will win

2:28:25 the inning for the Clowns. So, LC's got

2:28:27 to go after the Clown's first baseman.

2:28:30 As he misses with the fast ball, he's

2:28:31 now one bad one away from losing the

2:28:33 frame.

2:28:36 pours a fast ball in there

2:28:39 that misses the zone.

2:28:42 >> So Dale Francis Jr. his first career

2:28:45 banana ball walk-off and the Clowns have

2:28:48 life.

2:28:50 They trail 4-1 going to our final inning

2:28:53 where every run scored counts as a

2:28:55 point.

2:29:04 and Malachon Mitchell leading the boys

2:29:07 in the inning winning celebration.

2:29:16 >> The Clowns deny the Bananas the

2:29:18 equalizer point

2:29:23 >> and they trail by three going to the

2:29:25 ninth.

2:29:26 We'll hand it over to the young

2:29:28 professor to tell you what that means.

2:29:38 >> And the Clouds strike back to put a

2:29:41 point on the board. And it's time to

2:29:43 check in on that scoreboard. The score

2:29:44 right now is four points for the

2:29:46 Savannah Banas to one point for the

2:29:48 Indianapolis Clouds. But here's the

2:29:51 thing about the game of Banana Ball. In

2:29:54 the final inning, every run counts for a

2:29:58 point. That means, ladies and gentlemen,

2:30:01 that this could get interesting.

2:30:04 Anaheim, California. Let's get ready

2:30:07 because this is the final

2:30:11 in

2:30:38 They told him, "Don't you ever come

2:30:40 around here. Don't want to see your

2:30:42 face. You better disappear. The fire in

2:30:45 their eyes and the words are clear. So

2:30:47 beat it. Just beat it.

2:30:51 You better move. You better go while you

2:30:53 can. Don't want to be no man. You want

2:30:57 to be tough, better do it. You can't

2:31:00 just beat it. But you want to be f just

2:31:11 in your right. It doesn't matter who

2:31:15 right. Just beat it. Just beat it. Beat

2:31:19 it. Beat it. Just beat it.

2:31:23 You want to run, you better do what you

2:31:25 can. Don't want to be a boy, you want to

2:31:27 be a man. You're running for your life.

2:31:30 Better do what you can. So beat it. Just

2:31:34 beat it.

2:31:35 You got to prove it that you're really

2:31:37 not scared. You're playing with your

2:31:39 life. There ain't no truth or dare.

2:31:41 They'll kick you. They'll eat you.

2:31:43 They'll tell you so.

2:31:46 But you want to be just it

2:31:54 show

2:31:57 your right. It doesn't matter who

2:32:00 struggle just

2:32:08 show

2:32:10 your right. It doesn't matter who life

2:32:14 just be.

2:32:37 >> Here we go.

2:32:43 No one

2:32:46 show

2:32:49 your

2:32:51 matter who's wrong or right. Just beat

2:32:53 it.

2:32:56 And no one

2:33:01 is your right. It doesn't matter who's

2:33:05 right. Just be it. Beat it. Beat.

2:33:31 >> You ever watching a banana ball game and

2:33:33 a musical breaks out?

2:33:38 I'll answer for you quite often.

2:33:42 But that was magnificent as Flash and

2:33:45 Mystic still stare each other down. I

2:33:47 think they want to get the actual beat

2:33:50 procedure like you wrap their wrists and

2:33:52 then they get knives in the other hand,

2:33:54 you know, like the music video.

2:33:55 >> Yeah. Oh, yeah.

2:33:56 >> Also, Jack Johnson and Andy Sandberg,

2:34:00 they did a they did a play on that as

2:34:02 well.

2:34:03 >> I don't think I've seen that one.

2:34:04 >> Oh, come on now. Jack music video.

2:34:07 >> Yeah.

2:34:08 >> At or with me. Great song.

2:34:10 >> But I'm but I'm very familiar with the

2:34:12 Michael Jackson music video.

2:34:14 >> Yeah. Jack

2:34:15 >> I just listened for the Eddie Van Halen

2:34:17 solo. No. Jack breaks out the ninth and

2:34:19 he's like I thought we were doing beat

2:34:20 it.

2:34:23 >> That's pretty good.

2:34:24 >> Yeah. And I won't spoil what happens

2:34:25 next, but Sandberg's got a plus to beat

2:34:28 it. I'll tell you that much.

2:34:31 >> I mean, what's going to happen here?

2:34:34 It it seems like a standoff. Noisik is

2:34:37 walking away like he has won.

2:34:40 >> And and Reoso on the pitcher mount. He

2:34:42 He just had to patiently wait to start

2:34:45 throwing his warm-up pitches. Dion

2:34:48 Reoso.

2:34:50 How cool is it to see the twin brother

2:34:52 of legendary collegiate banana Levon

2:34:55 Reynoso. believe on 2021 and 22 summers

2:34:58 in Banana Land won Pennic Cups at each

2:35:02 campaign. And we saw Dion on the other

2:35:05 side of the coin. Talked about it on the

2:35:07 pregame show with Sam Bowman when Dion

2:35:09 was a Spartanberger in the summer of

2:35:11 2021. It was the first time he was ever

2:35:14 on the opposite side of the field of his

2:35:16 twin brother, Levon. He was snagged in

2:35:19 the seventh round of the Banana Ball

2:35:22 draft. It's been two years in the Los

2:35:24 Angeles Angels minor league system. The

2:35:26 slider, as you see right there, is

2:35:28 disgusting. The fast ball has been up to

2:35:31 98. Last summer, he sat at 95 mph in the

2:35:35 Frontier League. And Robert Anthony Cruz

2:35:38 says, "I like what I'm seeing here."

2:35:41 Wraps that one down the right field

2:35:43 line. Lead off double for rack to kick

2:35:46 off the ninth.

2:35:49 And this is what you were hoping to see

2:35:51 from Robert Anthony Cruz eventually. His

2:35:53 first multi-hit game of 2026 for the

2:35:56 Savannah Bananas. And of course, the

2:36:00 every run scored in the final inning

2:36:02 counts for points. The Bananas with a

2:36:04 chance to get even more insurance as

2:36:06 Jackson lines this one into right field.

2:36:09 Holesizer will make the catch and Cruz

2:36:12 will tag up and reach third base safely.

2:36:17 That's a productive out from Tai

2:36:18 Jackson. It moves him to one for four in

2:36:22 the scorebook tonight, but now two for

2:36:25 five. Actually, make it three for five

2:36:26 in quality at bats. He also stole first.

2:36:30 Final answer. Three for six in quality

2:36:32 at bats. Nope. Back to three for five. I

2:36:37 digress. It's been It has been a wild

2:36:40 game. I I'll give you a break here. Snip

2:36:43 snap. Snip snap. Six snap

2:36:45 >> ball in a strike on Ryan Cox. Infield in

2:36:47 for the Indianapolis Clowns. Foul ball

2:36:50 to the third level and it will end up

2:36:53 landing in the second deck.

2:36:57 Coxy is exactly who you want up in this

2:36:59 situation if you're the bananas.

2:37:03 Two two count. He is 0 for three

2:37:06 tonight, but leading the tour with his

2:37:08 619 on base percentage is 847 slug and

2:37:13 his 1.47 476 OPS in the 10 hole. What a

2:37:17 weapon at the bottom of this Bananas

2:37:19 lineup.

2:37:23 Slider fouled away. Reynoso also has a

2:37:25 splitter in his back pocket.

2:37:27 >> And he's been sticking with a lot of off

2:37:29 speed stuff against the Savannah

2:37:31 Bananas. Very surprising considering his

2:37:33 fast ball is what got him into that

2:37:34 Angels minor league organization. Swing

2:37:37 and a miss. There's the gas. Downright

2:37:40 disgusting.

2:37:42 Some serious run to it. And that's a

2:37:43 massive K for Dion.

2:37:47 >> And again, this this guy originally was

2:37:49 a position player at Erskin. Only in his

2:37:52 final season did he start pitching cuz

2:37:54 he was touching 95 occasionally 98 m an

2:37:59 hour with the Heater. It got the

2:38:01 attention of the Angels organization and

2:38:03 then parlayed into two years spent in

2:38:06 their minor league system. That one gets

2:38:08 past Dion. Tough play for Payton and he

2:38:10 throws it away.

2:38:12 I don't think he had a chance to get the

2:38:14 speedy Dr. Meadows. That brings home

2:38:16 Rack

2:38:18 and the Nanners up 51 now.

2:38:21 >> The doctor his second hit of the ball

2:38:23 game. He reaches for the fourth time

2:38:26 tonight.

2:38:28 Continues his ridicul ridiculous fourth

2:38:31 world tour and it keeps the streak going

2:38:33 for Dr. Meadows. Now four straight

2:38:36 multi-hit games for the Savannah

2:38:38 Bananas.

2:38:43 Reese Alexiatis,

2:38:45 >> the only man in the Banana starting

2:38:47 lineup without a hit tonight,

2:38:50 >> trying to join the party. He does have a

2:38:53 steal of first base and a ball for

2:38:54 Sprint.

2:39:04 I'll throw Ryan Cox into the equation as

2:39:06 well.

2:39:11 Fast ball just misses.

2:39:17 >> 3-1. There goes Meadows. It's going to

2:39:20 be ball four. Clowns got to be serious

2:39:22 about their sprint defense here. They

2:39:23 get it around the infield. Meadows

2:39:25 getting the windmill. And there will be

2:39:28 no throw from Joe Gray Jr. That is great

2:39:30 banana ball IQ by the doctor. Off on the

2:39:33 pitch. Lets his speed do the rest. And

2:39:36 that is two runs scored with two outs.

2:39:38 He was at the second base bag and third

2:39:41 base coach Bryce Stober was already

2:39:44 waving him home. He was gauging that

2:39:46 Clown's defense, knew that it wasn't

2:39:48 quite up to snuff and brings in a second

2:39:52 point in the inning as Jaylen Vasquez

2:39:54 will range into shallow right field and

2:39:57 record the third out of the top of the

2:40:00 ninth, but not before the Bananas now

2:40:02 extend their lead to 6 to one over the

2:40:05 Indianapolis Clouds. Let's get it back

2:40:08 down to the young professor.

2:40:10 >> The Savannah Bananas tack on two in the

2:40:13 top of the ninth inning and the score is

2:40:15 now 6-1 in favor of the Savannah

2:40:18 Bananas. But as I mentioned, ladies and

2:40:21 gentlemen, in the final inning, every

2:40:24 run counts for a point. And you better

2:40:27 believe the Indianapolis Clowns are

2:40:30 looking to make a splash here. I have

2:40:35 seen stranger things happen. But we will

2:40:39 find out because ladies and gentlemen of

2:40:42 Anaheim, California, get loud because it

2:40:46 all comes down to this.

2:40:55 To the bottom of the ninth inning we go.

2:41:00 Over 45,000 fans

2:41:03 packing Angel Stadium

2:41:06 as the Indianapolis Clowns will need

2:41:08 five runs to tie this game six to win

2:41:12 it. And it will be quite a tall task as

2:41:15 you can see on the video board. Up in

2:41:18 right center field, Danny Hosley will be

2:41:20 utilized for a second straight night

2:41:22 here in Anaheim.

2:41:29 Osley slammed the door on a 3-1 victory

2:41:31 last night

2:41:33 and remains unscored upon here in his

2:41:36 fourth World Tour. He's already taking

2:41:39 the mound for the seventh time this

2:41:40 season for the Savannah Bananas. Five

2:41:43 saves, albeit this one or this

2:41:46 situation. Not a save opportunity for

2:41:48 Danny Hosley. Nonetheless, the Bananas

2:41:51 know that their closer lights out. 10

2:41:55 strikeouts this season. And for Danny Do

2:41:58 It all, I mean, he has just been

2:42:01 unbelievable throughout his banana ball

2:42:04 career. The leader in career strikeout

2:42:07 rate and hoping he can come up with a

2:42:09 couple more as 9, 10, and one are due up

2:42:13 in this clown's order. Joe Gray Jr.,

2:42:17 Kirkland Banks, and then at the top of

2:42:19 the order, Jaylen Vasquez, followed by

2:42:21 Jackie Bradley Jr.

2:42:27 Fast ball called strike.

2:42:32 >> Joe was on deck last night

2:42:35 when Dale Francis Jr. swung through a

2:42:38 Vulcan change up for route number three

2:42:42 in the top of the ninth. That ball is

2:42:44 smashed foul.

2:42:46 Hosley's arsenal is infamous in the

2:42:48 sport. Fast ball in the low 90s. 126

2:42:52 curve ball and then the Vulcan change up

2:42:54 his best pitch.

2:42:58 >> This one looped towards center. It'll

2:42:59 hang up there for a sideways flipping

2:43:02 Dar Meadows.

2:43:04 Fourth trick play of the ball game. 22nd

2:43:07 of the tour as he continues to lead the

2:43:09 pack and he just wants to make sure that

2:43:13 by the end of this weekend he is still

2:43:15 the outright leader in trick plays on

2:43:18 the Banana Ball World Tour. Still two

2:43:20 games to play tomorrow. Firefighters,

2:43:22 tailgators, party animals, coconuts, and

2:43:25 Dr. Meadows trying to separate him from

2:43:27 the rest of his competition. Yeah,

2:43:29 that's his ninth trick play of the

2:43:31 weekend.

2:43:35 Kirkland Banks, grounder. Ryan Cox

2:43:38 between the legs

2:43:40 and the Indianapolis Clowns are down to

2:43:42 their final out.

2:43:52 Everybody,

2:44:02 >> everybody who is able on their feet here

2:44:04 in Angel Stadium.

2:44:09 >> Jaylen Vasquez stands in between the

2:44:11 bananas and their second straight series

2:44:14 sweep.

2:44:16 A high strike,

2:44:23 >> a swing and a miss at the Vulcan. Change

2:44:25 up the clowns down to their final

2:44:26 strike.

2:44:32 Heck of a take by JV.

2:44:39 The one-two

2:44:43 called strike three. The Savannah

2:44:46 Bananas are relentless. Danny Hosley

2:44:49 slams the door as the Ners improve to a

2:44:52 league best eight and one and have

2:44:55 claimed their fourth straight victory.

2:45:02 Whatever situation they are thrown into,

2:45:05 they always find a way to beat you. The

2:45:08 Bananas play allaround great banana

2:45:11 ball. And tonight, 18 runs scored for

2:45:15 the offense. Six total points against

2:45:18 the Indianapolis Clowns. And a second

2:45:21 straight series sweep for the boys in

2:45:24 yellow. Staying at the top in the

2:45:26 standings of our Banana Ball

2:45:28 Championship League.

2:45:45 lucky to have you in my life.

2:45:49 Hey,

2:45:50 you better you better hit the right and

2:45:53 hit the left. Now turn around and slide.

2:45:56 We made it through all the years and all

2:46:00 the tears we

2:46:03 We got a one step, two step through the

2:46:05 ups and downs. It's an angel cross,

2:46:09 living more than enough to get up and

2:46:11 out your chair.

2:46:14 Hey, celebrate with me tonight.

2:46:19 Celebrate like we got time.

2:46:24 So lucky to have you in my life.

2:46:27 Hey, hey, you better, you better hit the

2:46:31 right and hit the left. Now turn around

2:46:33 and slide.

2:46:35 >> Oh, here we go.

2:46:42 >> Celebrate with me tonight.

2:46:47 Celebrate like we got time.

2:46:51 Lucky to have you in my life.

2:46:56 You better You better hit the right. Hit

2:46:59 the left. Now turn around now. One more

2:47:01 time. Hit the right and hit the left.

2:47:04 Now turn around and

2:47:07 one more time for your Savannah.

2:47:18 Anaheim, you are truly truly amazing.

2:47:21 This place is absolutely magical. Two

2:47:24 electric nights here. I can tell you we

2:47:26 love coming here as much as any place in

2:47:29 the entire country. But first, we want

2:47:31 to give a few shoutouts for their first

2:47:33 Major League Stadium weekend. Let's get

2:47:36 a big round of applause for the

2:47:37 Indianapolis Clowns.

2:47:47 We started this with just a goal to make

2:47:49 baseball fun and put the fans first. But

2:47:52 when you show up like this, you bring

2:47:53 the energy, the electricity, the joy,

2:47:55 the fun. You give us reason for why we

2:47:58 do what we do. And we look around the

2:48:00 last two nights, 90,000 fans. I'll tell

2:48:03 you one thing, Banana Nation, we're just

2:48:05 getting started.

2:48:09 And so we're going to finish with a

2:48:10 tradition. Captain Bill. Here we go.

2:48:15 >> What's up, Anaheim?

2:48:22 >> Did y'all have fun tonight?

2:48:26 Well, let me tell you something. So, did

2:48:28 we. This weekend has been so much fun to

2:48:31 come all the way across the country to

2:48:33 come out here and you guys to be so

2:48:34 welcoming and show up to Disney, to show

2:48:37 up here tonight, to show up last night,

2:48:38 to show up last year. You guys have

2:48:40 showed us so much love here in

2:48:41 California and we love you so very much.

2:48:44 So, thank you.

2:48:52 But I want to talk about something that

2:48:53 I think is also really, really

2:48:55 important. Right after this game, the

2:48:58 Clowns and the Bananas, we're both about

2:49:00 to be in the same locker room. We are a

2:49:02 bunch of brothers out here tonight. By

2:49:03 no means do either one of these teams

2:49:05 want to lose to each other, cuz we're

2:49:07 all brothers. But at the end of the day,

2:49:08 we love each other more than anything.

2:49:10 And we also love you guys so much. So, I

2:49:12 hope you felt loved here tonight. And I

2:49:13 hope you felt welcomed. I hope you

2:49:15 experience joy here in this place

2:49:17 tonight. And I hope you take it. And I

2:49:18 hope you spread it to the rest of the

2:49:20 world because we absolutely need it. So,

2:49:22 thank you, California, for being

2:49:23 welcoming and just bringing the energy

2:49:26 here tonight in this place.

2:49:34 >> We are one big family here tonight. So,

2:49:37 around the ballpark, I want you to put

2:49:38 your hands up high.

2:49:42 >> We're going to break it down like one

2:49:44 big family. But first, I need to know.

2:49:48 >> Are you ready?

2:49:58 >> KJ's asleep.

2:50:00 I said, "Are you ready?

2:50:08 Wow, you guys are loud. Hands up.

2:50:12 >> We're going to say fans first on three.

2:50:14 Loud and proud. One, two, three.

2:50:17 We love you, Anaheim. Till next time.

2:50:24 >> Those postgame Bill Loy speeches do not

2:50:27 get old. Straight from the heart of a

2:50:29 guy in his ninth season here as a

2:50:31 Savannah Banana.

2:50:33 This is only the 11th season of the

2:50:35 Banana's existence. Bill and Kyle have

2:50:37 seen the vast majority of it. Nobody

2:50:40 better to wrap it up

2:50:44 than old Bill Loy. But Kyle Jackson, the

2:50:47 showman of the game. How could he not

2:50:48 be? The first cycle in Savannah Bananas

2:50:52 Banana Ball history. The first cycle for

2:50:54 the Savannah Bananas since the summer of

2:50:58 2020. Juan Colado in Mon, Georgia.

2:51:02 and he did it in his first four plate

2:51:04 appearances.

2:51:06 >> Unbelievable night for Kyle Jackson. A

2:51:08 very historic one. And for more with KJ,

2:51:12 we'll send it down to Sam Bman.

2:51:16 >> Josh, he he's the man we need right now.

2:51:18 Our showman of the game.

2:51:22 >> KJ hitting for the cycle. Never been

2:51:25 done before in a Savannah Bananas

2:51:27 uniform. What does that mean? Well, it

2:51:31 means everything because one, I wear

2:51:33 this jersey with a lot of pride and I

2:51:34 love my team and any way I can help win

2:51:36 is amazing and I feel very honored to do

2:51:38 that. We had a lot of great at bats

2:51:40 tonight when we needed it. We needed Dan

2:51:42 over to have a great game. These

2:51:44 pitchers did great. They put up a ton of

2:51:45 zeros and all around the the camaraderie

2:51:48 and the brotherhood is what makes it

2:51:49 easy to have fun and just play well.

2:51:50 Play play free.

2:51:51 >> KJ, talk about this team. We got a lot

2:51:53 of young guys on this team.

2:51:55 >> Younger than me though.

2:51:57 >> No one. and you're coming together and

2:51:59 you found such a rhythm early on. Where

2:52:01 does that come from?

2:52:02 >> The locker room. It starts from top to

2:52:04 bottom. We have great leaders. We have

2:52:05 Dan, we have Bill, we have Kyle, we have

2:52:07 a guys who have done it before. Hos I

2:52:09 The list goes on. People have been here

2:52:10 and done that. And before the game, we

2:52:12 always say just have fun, play for the

2:52:14 fans, and it's always bananas on three.

2:52:16 We I mean the bananas are the bananas.

2:52:18 We stay together. We love one another.

2:52:19 And it's always so much fun if you

2:52:21 couldn't tell.

2:52:23 >> It's fun. The energy is great. One more

2:52:24 question for you from our backstage

2:52:26 friend. Six-year-old Charlotte wants to

2:52:28 know, and this will be tough because you

2:52:29 got a lot of them. What is your favorite

2:52:31 trick, KJ?

2:52:32 >> Favorite trick?

2:52:36 >> My favorite trick is when Coach Rag and

2:52:38 Dr. Meadows do back loop catches.

2:52:41 He's just a fan just like us. But he is

2:52:43 our showman of the game. Thank you,

2:52:45 Kyle. KJ Jackson.

2:52:46 >> I love you all. Go bananas. And it's the

2:52:48 baseball.

2:52:51 >> Thank you, SB. Thank you, KJ.

2:52:54 As we get a look at the sign that

2:52:58 started it all,

2:53:00 that youngster's mom thinks KJ is hot.

2:53:04 I'm not here to disagree. It was an RBI

2:53:06 single in the first inning. The triple

2:53:10 driving in a run in the second. Grab a

2:53:13 stolen base in there as well. And then

2:53:17 the RBI double in the fourth.

2:53:22 the solo home run in the fifth

2:53:27 as we bounce in all kinds of different

2:53:30 orders here. But a pretty unbelievable

2:53:31 night from Kyle Jackson. Yeah, I mean

2:53:33 he's joins

2:53:36 a club that only Jake Skull is in before

2:53:38 tonight's contest. Kyle Jackson just the

2:53:41 third cycle ever in Banana Ball history.

2:53:44 And as far as the MVP race is concerned,

2:53:46 it's either between him or Dr. Meadows.

2:53:50 And now we go down to the field. Sams

2:53:51 with Jesse Cole

2:53:53 >> Bo Josh you're talking about MVP race we

2:53:55 saw MVP performances all over the place

2:53:58 this weekend players in the

2:54:00 entertainment Jesse I mean this is an

2:54:01 MVP style weekend you need the best of

2:54:03 the best out of everybody to do Disney

2:54:06 do these games and have the performances

2:54:07 and fit it all in

2:54:09 >> you think about the last three days what

2:54:11 this group accomplished from two huge

2:54:13 performances at Disney you know last

2:54:15 year we just did one song now we're

2:54:17 doing 25minute performance in front of

2:54:18 the castle at California Adventure and

2:54:20 and huge singing production numbers

2:54:22 yesterday and then the first ever final

2:54:24 inning show which in the future I

2:54:26 believe is going to be what our halftime

2:54:28 show is. And to see it tonight with the

2:54:31 two bands, the singers, all the players,

2:54:34 it's unbelievable. And what they put

2:54:36 into this, the time, the effort, the

2:54:37 energy to make this happen is

2:54:39 unbelievable. I'm just I'm blown away.

2:54:41 I'm so proud to see how far they've come

2:54:43 and what they're doing. It's uh it's a

2:54:46 proud moment for all of us in Banana

2:54:47 Land, but I think all the fans saw

2:54:49 something truly special tonight. It's

2:54:51 just a taste of what's to come.

2:54:52 >> Talk about the talent you have within

2:54:54 your your cast, those behind the scenes,

2:54:56 but the Derek Clennas of the world

2:54:58 coming in here. Some of these people are

2:55:00 raising the bar within this

2:55:02 organization. Well, Derek's obviously a

2:55:04 special special talent and for him to

2:55:06 join this organization and we put a lot

2:55:08 on, you know, coming back to an area

2:55:09 where he grew up and to be able to put

2:55:10 so many performances back to bag night

2:55:13 and last night there wasn't singing

2:55:15 number at this final inning show, but

2:55:17 Brandon and Jarius who are unbelievably

2:55:18 talented as well and Derek and the group

2:55:20 came together, the bands late night and

2:55:22 said, "We're going to figure this out.

2:55:23 We're going to find a way." And then

2:55:24 this morning, literally at 10:00 a.m.

2:55:26 full rehearsals and learning it. And

2:55:28 again, what's so great about this group

2:55:30 is they will find a way to put on the

2:55:31 greatest show even when it's hard and

2:55:33 hours after hours and you look at Zack

2:55:35 Franelo, director of entertainment and

2:55:37 our creative team and our video team and

2:55:38 Avon how to block it, how to make it

2:55:40 happen. Man, that was a moment that I

2:55:43 will never forget. But many people might

2:55:44 say, "Oh, it was just a 4-minute, you

2:55:46 know, dance and song." But what went

2:55:48 into it and also to get the game in and

2:55:50 the speed to make it happen and get to

2:55:52 that final inning just shows you banana

2:55:53 ball can do anything that we put our

2:55:55 minds to. And with this group, sky's the

2:55:58 limit.

2:55:59 >> Jesse, I was there at Disneyland,

2:56:00 obviously. I watched the cavalcade end

2:56:02 and I before you you ran back behind

2:56:04 stage. I you ran up to Zack Franelo and

2:56:06 you said to him, "We're going to plus

2:56:08 this next year." We weren't even done

2:56:10 with the day, Jesse.

2:56:12 >> That's the mindset I learned from Walt

2:56:13 Disney and the spirit of him. He said,

2:56:15 "Dland's a living, breathing thing.

2:56:17 It'll never the show will never be

2:56:19 complete. We're always going to plus."

2:56:20 And I think that's what we look at

2:56:22 everything. I've learned so much from

2:56:23 him, his spirit. And when you looked at

2:56:25 that show, yeah, the shows were great,

2:56:27 but I looked at the Cavalcade and I

2:56:28 watched those people sitting out, the

2:56:30 fans in the sun for hours and I was

2:56:31 like, we got to give them a bigger show.

2:56:33 We got to give them something they're

2:56:33 never going to forget. Yes, the high

2:56:35 fives are great. And I felt it and I saw

2:56:36 it. Our fans traveled from all over the

2:56:39 country to come to Disney Day or to

2:56:41 Bananas Day at Disney. And I want to

2:56:43 make sure that they leave and they'll

2:56:44 never forget it. And so that's what's

2:56:46 great about this group. Not my not just

2:56:47 myself, but everyone on our team. We're

2:56:49 like, how can we make it a little bit

2:56:50 better? And when you make things just a

2:56:51 little bit better, that's how you true

2:56:53 achieve true greatness. And that's what

2:56:54 we're doing. That's what we did this

2:56:55 weekend. The clowns to be in a major

2:56:57 league stadium for their first time. Big

2:56:59 performances, big numbers. I mean,

2:57:01 that's intimidating. I'll never forget

2:57:02 our first major league stadium in

2:57:03 Houston. And a lot of things didn't go

2:57:05 right. But the Bananas been doing it for

2:57:07 years. We get better every day. And they

2:57:08 just came out here and put on a great

2:57:09 performance. And they're only going to

2:57:10 get better. And I just look at this

2:57:12 whole group. I can't wait to see where

2:57:13 we are next year. We're going to plus

2:57:14 Disney. We're going to plus these major

2:57:16 league stadiums. We're going to plus the

2:57:17 show every step of the way. Good luck,

2:57:19 Banana Nation.

2:57:20 >> Guys, we're just a couple minutes months

2:57:22 into uh 2026 and we're look we're

2:57:25 looking ahead already. We're in the

2:57:26 first inning. I'm pretty sure Cole would

2:57:28 say Josh.

2:57:32 >> Thank you, SB. Always awesome getting to

2:57:34 hear from the man in the yellow tux

2:57:36 himself, Jesse Cole. as we put a close

2:57:41 to this wild twoame set between the

2:57:43 Savannah Bananas and the Indianapolis

2:57:45 Clowns in Angel Stadium and welcome you

2:57:47 back inside with Josh Tvki Bo Scala.

2:57:50 Thank you so much for spending your

2:57:51 Saturday night with us here in virtual

2:57:53 banana land. Another day with three

2:57:55 games when it comes to banana ball. A

2:57:58 fantastic one at that. And the Nanners

2:58:00 offense tonight prolific. This is a

2:58:03 squad that has not gotten to play as the

2:58:05 away team before this year since 2023.

2:58:08 And boy, they were firing on all

2:58:10 cylinders.

2:58:10 >> Yeah. And they're making the most of it.

2:58:11 I mean, the Bananas have only lost one

2:58:13 game this season. It did happen to come

2:58:15 when they were playing as the visiting

2:58:16 team. But even in those other games, you

2:58:18 have seen the offense very solid, very

2:58:21 consistent. They are really enjoying

2:58:23 getting all of those at bats and played

2:58:25 appearances. And the Bananas, of course,

2:58:27 took advantage of things early in the

2:58:29 contest. some steals of first base on

2:58:32 wild pitches and past balls. Ball four

2:58:34 sprints issued by Clowns pitching, but

2:58:36 they still hit their way to victory.

2:58:38 Again, when they need to beat you with

2:58:40 pitching, they can do that. When they

2:58:41 need to beat you from a trick play

2:58:43 standpoint, they're more than capable of

2:58:45 doing so. And tonight, they were able to

2:58:47 win with pretty prolific offense and

2:58:49 certainly on the back of Kyle Jackson

2:58:52 having the third cycle in Banana Ball

2:58:54 history. And look, Baners, they've got

2:58:57 eight wins now this season. Kyle

2:58:59 Jackson, he's been the showman of the

2:59:01 game in four of them. That is certainly

2:59:04 a massive impact that their superstar

2:59:06 third baseman has had. Yeah. 2025's

2:59:09 rookie of the year runner up behind Andy

2:59:11 Cosgrove. And as you mentioned at the

2:59:13 end of the game right there, uh he is

2:59:15 one of the front runners to take MVP

2:59:18 here in 2026. It will be fascinating.

2:59:20 So, the Bananas improved to 8-1 on the

2:59:22 year. They still have not clinched the

2:59:24 one seed in the Banana Ball Open because

2:59:27 in two weeks time when the Bananas face

2:59:29 off against the Texas Tailgator in

2:59:31 Chapel Hill at Kenan Stadium, if the

2:59:34 Tailgator can win tomorrow in

2:59:36 Scottsdale, Arizona, a tailgator sweep

2:59:39 would mean they would take the one seed

2:59:41 from the Nanners. And we cannot wait to

2:59:43 see how it goes down. Two games from the

2:59:46 campus of UNC right here on the Savannah

2:59:48 Bananas YouTube page. It will be a

2:59:50 Saturday 700 p p.m. and then Sunday 300

2:59:53 p p.m. Eastern. Uh what a blast it's

2:59:55 going to be in two weekends time.

2:59:57 >> I mean it's going to be a thrilling

2:59:59 series. Again, the tailgator know the

3:00:01 goal now is to make sure that they can

3:00:02 beat the firefighters tomorrow to try

3:00:04 and potentially sweep those bananas in

3:00:07 Chapel Hill and play spoiler to claim

3:00:09 that one seed in the banana ball open.

3:00:11 So that'll be a big game that you do not

3:00:13 want to miss tomorrow afternoon. And

3:00:16 then that sets up what we've been

3:00:17 talking about this whole early part of

3:00:20 this 2026 Banana Ball Championship

3:00:22 League. The open April 16th to the 19th.

3:00:25 The top four teams will make it. The

3:00:27 Bananas are still the only team that

3:00:29 have clinched a spot. And even though

3:00:30 the Clowns are two and seven, they are

3:00:32 still not out of it because they could

3:00:34 still with two wins sneak into that four

3:00:36 spot.

3:00:37 >> Yeah, that's right. They've got a little

3:00:38 pressure on them right now. But they get

3:00:40 to play the Loco Beach Coconuts. It's

3:00:42 going to be a battle of those expansion

3:00:44 teams. So, it's going to be really

3:00:46 exciting to see what happens as we get

3:00:48 closer and closer to that banana ball

3:00:50 open as you now get a look at the

3:00:52 standings here tonight. The Bananas now

3:00:54 8- one. Tailgator already conquered the

3:00:57 firefighters tonight. They improved to

3:00:59 five and three now in second place all

3:01:01 on their lonesome. And the Loco Beach

3:01:03 Coconuts, they pulled off a rather

3:01:05 surprising upset of the Party Animals

3:01:08 claiming the 3 to1 victory. It'll be

3:01:10 fascinating tomorrow afternoon, 100 p.m.

3:01:13 Eastern. You can see the coconuts and

3:01:15 party animals battling in Conway, South

3:01:18 Carolina. And then it will be 4 pm

3:01:19 Eastern. The firefighters and tailgators

3:01:22 doing battle in Scottsdale, Arizona. And

3:01:24 we've already set the stakes for that

3:01:26 contest. So, two banana ball games on

3:01:28 the dock at tomorrow. Or as Josh would

3:01:30 say, two banana ball games on the

3:01:32 docket.

3:01:33 >> Thank you very much, Mr. Tleski. A huge

3:01:35 thank you to you, the fans, for sticking

3:01:37 with us these past two nights from

3:01:39 Anaheim. And a big thank you of course

3:01:41 to our entire casting crew that make

3:01:43 this thing possible. It would not happen

3:01:45 without our wonderful folks in the

3:01:46 control room on the other side of the

3:01:48 country. Uh Carrie the one right now

3:01:51 we're looking at Yeah, it's it's

3:01:52 literally the next day in Savannah,

3:01:54 Georgia. So, thank you to Chris Haynes,

3:01:56 our director, and our fantastic crew on

3:01:58 the replay and the graphics and the

3:02:00 sound. You guys are the best in the biz.

3:02:02 And a big thank you to our entire crew

3:02:03 here in Savannah as well our camera

3:02:06 operators, everybody running audio, our

3:02:08 engineers, our producer Chad Ree, our

3:02:10 executive producer Josh Richardson, for

3:02:13 Sam Bowman down on the field for Josh

3:02:14 Tleski up here in the booth with me. I

3:02:17 am Bo Scalla saying so long for now.

3:02:20 Make sure to check out those games on

3:02:21 the Party Animals YouTube channel at 1

3:02:23 p.m. tomorrow and then the Firefighters

3:02:25 YouTube channel at 400 p.m. Eastern.

3:02:28 Until then, Josh and I will see you in

3:02:29 the chat and we will see you later.

3:02:52 Heat. Heat. N.

3:03:29 Hey, hey, hey.

3:03:54 Heat. Heat. N.

3:04:16 Heat.

3:04:41 Hey, Heat.
