0:44 live and in living color? Thank goodness

0:47 for Modern Technology. Thank goodness

0:51 wonderful broadcast partners. And most

0:54 of all, thank goodness for our moms. as

0:57 we welcome you inside. He is Josh

0:59 Tleski. That is Drake Tol. I am Bo

1:02 Scala. Our titles mean nothing because

1:04 it is Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day

1:06 to everybody out there. And I'm going to

1:08 open up this sapfest by saying I love

1:11 you so much, Mom. Thank you for creating

1:13 me first and foremost. And thank you for

1:15 pouring an unfathomable amount of love

1:18 into me and proving that we can have an

1:21 unending well of kindness in us. Uh

1:23 Drake, you're next.

1:23 >> What an opportunity it is on national

1:25 television. in the CW today to say hello

1:27 to my mom in Volonia, Arkansas, who's

1:29 watching at home today. What a mom, man.

1:32 I wouldn't be in this spot if not for

1:34 her. Her unending love and effort

1:36 [music] is what got me here. So little

1:38 of me, so much of her. I love you and

1:41 I'm so blessed to be your son.

1:42 >> And to my mom and my grandmother who I

1:44 know are watching this game together,

1:46 happy Mother's Day to you both. I love

1:48 you dearly and I'm so thankful for the

1:50 way in which you raised me and just

1:52 sharing your love for baseball with me

1:54 and putting me in this position today.

1:56 And I'm grateful I got to go to so many

1:58 games with you guys here in this

2:00 ballpark. So, happy Mother's Day, y'all.

2:02 >> And what a special Mother's Day that we

2:04 get to broadcast Banana Ball, the rubber

2:06 match of this threeame series. Let's

2:08 take a look at what happened across the

2:10 last two nights because it's been a

2:12 fantastic one. We'll open it up Friday

2:14 night as the Party Animals opened up the

2:17 scoring early. TJ Reeves clutch with two

2:20 outs. His first career walk-off to put

2:22 the Animals up 1 nil.

2:24 >> Yeah, Friday was a get-right [music]

2:26 contest for the Party Animals after they

2:28 lost two out of three in Las Vegas the

2:30 weekend prior to the Loco Beach

2:31 Coconuts. And it was the ability to

2:33 strike early. That's really all it was

2:35 for the Party Animals. Let's get on the

2:37 board quick and the rest of this game

2:40 allow guys like Garrett Deleno on the

2:42 mound to cook. Yeah, Deleno. Six

2:44 scoreless frames. Absolutely fantastic.

2:46 [music] Now, three straight unbelievable

2:48 starts from Deleno. And then Jake Skull

2:51 adding some insurance. Another two out

2:53 walk-off. All three of the walk-offs for

2:56 the Party Animals with two down.

2:57 >> And he had been walked to the plate

2:58 prior by Kirby Smart. He's the hometown

3:01 guy, Jake Skull. It's been a great

3:03 weekend for him. I know he feels honored

3:05 to be in this party.

3:06 >> Yeah. Now you've got Bill Loy batting

3:08 with two guys in scoring position. Top

3:10 nine. Party Animals able to hang on and

3:12 get the W thanks to Tanner Thomas' catch

3:15 in foul territory. An impressive win for

3:17 [music] the Party Animals, especially

3:19 considering the Banana's only point came

3:21 via THE EQUALIZER POINT. THAT WASN'T THE

3:24 CASE ON NIGHT TWO. ROBERT ANTHONY CRUZ

3:26 OPENED UP THE SCORING with his team

3:29 leading fourth home run for the Nanners.

3:31 Jumpst started a threerun first inning

3:34 which was capped off by one of the

3:36 wilder rack flips you will ever see.

3:37 >> I mean, what what are you going to do?

3:39 If you're the party animals sitting in

3:41 the dugout, early deficit and plays like

3:43 that are scorning you. Well, you're at

3:45 least going to tie it up early and try

3:47 to give yourself a shot.

3:48 >> But Max Young Goldberg, [music] what a

3:50 series he is having. He's reached in

3:51 four out of his five played appearances.

3:53 The captain Bill Loy scoring on the

3:55 single. Fired up [music] coming in, BUT

3:57 THE INNING TYING RUN AT THIRD. COX TRICK

3:59 PLAY. ZIGGY DOUBLE TRICK PLAY AS THE

4:01 NANNERS jump ahead 3-1. And that CAME

4:03 WITH THE GUY AT THIRD BASE. If Ziggy

4:05 misses the trick play, it's a tied

4:07 inning and the Party Animals would have

4:09 negated that Bananas point. Meanwhile,

4:11 they got the point back. Tanner Thomas a

4:13 big walk up two-run bomb. Here's where

4:15 the equalizer became so key. The Bananas

4:18 would get an extra point as the visiting

4:20 team who [music] had more trick plays

4:21 going into the final inning. Jake Skull

4:23 walked off the eighth, but it was still

4:25 a deficit. Here he comes again as the

4:27 golden batter.

4:28 >> Another chance for Skoolie. He got a

4:30 good piece of this, but great

4:32 positioning. Ty Jackson. Leo Jackson

4:35 running up the wall out and right as the

4:37 nanners evened up the weekend. And take

4:41 a look at what a weekend it's been. The

4:43 first ever 9game weekend in Banana Ball

4:46 history. This is the grand conclusion.

4:50 And feast your peepers on Banana Ball

4:52 glory, folks. Yeah, was a really awesome

4:55 weekend overall. You sailed the clowns

4:57 and tailgator series already over. The

4:59 same with the coconuts and the

5:01 firefighters. And big weekends for those

5:03 tailgators and coconuts, each securing

5:05 series wins.

5:06 >> And 200,000 fans are represented by each

5:09 of those different games. Combine them

5:11 all together. That's how many folks got

5:13 to see Banana Ball live this weekend.

5:15 The growth of the sport is truly

5:17 incredible.

5:18 >> It all ends this afternoon. We get to

5:21 see who is the victor of Atlanta. Much

5:24 more pregame action right after this

5:26 short break.

5:39 Oh, how we [music] love you, baby. Baby,

5:42 baby, baby.

5:46 And now, introducing your Party Animals

5:49 cast of 2026. They'll be moving and

5:52 grooving all night long. IT'S YOUR PARTY

5:54 STARTERS.

5:57 They're loud. They're crazy. They

5:59 definitely did not VP. It's your party

6:02 crashes.

6:06 And here they come, the official Flair

6:08 bartenders, Stevie P, Flippy, and

6:11 Torres.

6:13 >> Do it.

6:14 >> He's your master of ceremonies and the

6:16 life of the party, AJ K.

6:20 His farts smell like cupcakes, and he's

6:22 known as the gassiest mascot in all of

6:25 sports. It's 40.

6:29 and the official band of the party

6:30 animals. Party down.

6:36 1 2 3 4.

6:54 Oh, I love you, baby.

6:57 Baby, baby,

7:04 [cheering]

7:08 Atlanta, Georgia, [screaming]

7:11 I need you on

7:14 your

7:16 feet.

7:21 Direct your attention to center field.

7:23 They're the wildest, craziest, sexiest.

7:30 >> Banana Ball is the fastest and most

7:33 entertaining show in sports. And the 11

7:35 rules guarantee the most fans first

7:37 experience [music] every second.

7:39 >> Unbelievable.

7:40 >> WELCOME TO THE BANANA BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP

7:42 LEAGUE.

7:43 >> Rule number one, win the inning, win the

7:46 point. The team that scores the most

7:48 runs in an inning wins the point. IT'S A

7:50 WALK-OFF WINNER TO THE DEEPEST ball

7:52 [cheering] in field.

7:54 >> OH MY GOODNESS.

7:55 >> WITH the equalizer point, trick plays

7:57 provide the away team an opportunity to

7:59 earn a point going into the final

8:01 inning. And in the final inning, every

8:03 run counts as a point. Rule number two,

8:06 banana ball has a 2hour time limit,

8:09 guaranteeing that every game is

8:11 fast-paced and action-packed. Rule

8:14 number three, no stepping out of the

8:16 batter's box. If you do, it will result

8:18 in a strike. back stepped out of the

8:19 box. And because he stepped out of the

8:21 box, that's it.

8:22 >> Rule number four, no bunting. Cuz

8:25 bunting sucks. If you bunt, you'll be

8:28 thrown out of the game. Rule number

8:29 five, batters can steal first base.

8:32 >> Ball three. Can you TAKE IT OFF FOR

8:33 FIRST THROW FROM LEROY IN TIME?

8:36 >> Rule number six, there's no walks. Walks

8:40 are ball [music] force sprints. The

8:41 batter can advance as far as they want

8:43 until every position player touches the

8:46 ball. NO DEFENDERS HAVE TOUCHED THE

8:48 BANANA BALL. IT IS A FOUR BASE SPREAD TO

8:51 OPEN UP THE BALL GAME.

8:52 >> Rule number seven,

8:54 >> no mound visits.

8:56 >> Nope. Rule number eight, foul balls

8:59 caught by a fan count as an out.

9:01 >> Oh, they did. They can't.

9:06 We're going to show.

9:07 >> Rule number nine, the showdowns. In

9:10 showdowns, the best of the best face off

9:12 in the biggest moment. One hitter verse

9:15 one pitcher with one fielder behind them

9:18 and the hitter has to score.

9:20 >> To right center

9:22 you later.

9:24 >> Rule number 10. The banana ball

9:26 challenge role gives the coaches and you

9:28 the fans a chance to impact a call on

9:31 the field. [cheering]

9:32 Rule number 11, the golden batter. Once

9:35 a game, each team can give any player in

9:37 it back regardless of the lineup. This

9:40 offers the biggest matchups on the

9:42 biggest stage. Big on big.

9:45 Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.

9:48 >> Get out of here, boy. That thing had a

9:52 family. [screaming]

9:54 >> And those are the rules of banana ball.

10:02 >> Let's zoom in on rule number eight. My

10:04 personal favorite rule in Banana Ball.

10:06 If a fan catches a foul ball, it's an

10:08 out. Now, as you see on that second

10:10 bullet, it has to be a clean catch to

10:12 get an out in a game. And the folks in

10:15 Atlanta have been fantastic back-to-back

10:17 years. [music] Four foul outs to the

10:18 fans across two games last year. And

10:21 then already they've had four foul outs

10:23 to the fans so far in this series.

10:24 >> Yeah, we have seen 15 foul balls caught

10:27 by fans here in Major League Parks this

10:29 season. That accounts for 15 of 34 total

10:32 in 2026. And you've seen the bananas

10:35 surprisingly the team that has been hit

10:37 the hardest by the fan caught foul

10:39 balls, but they [music] are playing in

10:41 some of the biggest venues as well.

10:43 There are 41,09

10:46 defenders at any point in time in this

10:48 venue. That's the beauty of this game,

10:50 the beauty of Banana Ball. Each of these

10:52 fans is incorporated in the action.

10:56 >> And we learned it on the Party Plaza as

10:58 well. The folks here in Atlanta, I mean,

10:59 they are just athletes. [music] They had

11:00 a heck of a performance when we were

11:02 hitting them foam balls as well,

11:03 especially on Friday night. Take a look

11:05 at the four foul outs to the fans across

11:08 our two games so far this weekend. Reese

11:10 Hampton was the only victim on Friday

11:12 night and then Andy Cosgrove the first

11:14 [music] to foul out to the fans last

11:16 night. And that was in Andy Cosgrove's

11:18 first at bat of the game. He was batting

11:20 lead off for the party animals. He

11:21 fouled out to the fans to start the

11:23 game. And you've also seen two fan

11:26 caught foul balls in the eighth innings

11:28 in this series. So they're coming at

11:30 really critical moments here in Atlanta.

11:33 >> Yeah, the grade eight Jackson Olsen, one

11:35 of the stars of our sport, cut down by

11:37 it and with the wristbands flashing.

11:40 Nothing unflapable will stop that man

11:43 from the fourth fan caught foul ball in

11:45 Atlanta.

11:46 >> Poor Eastston Parish, the rookie. His

11:47 second foul out to the fans in 12 played

11:50 appearances in his first ever season.

11:52 More pregame action after this.

12:01 What's up?

12:15 started.

12:35 >> GIVE IT UP FOR THE party

12:38 animals.

12:46 fans, it is now time for what has become

12:49 my favorite pregame tradition prior to

12:53 the greatest party in sports. Because we

12:57 all know it's not a party without a

13:01 little bottle service.

13:07 Meet our bottle service baby.

13:10 11-month-old

13:11 Adley. Will Adley take the bottle?

13:18 She took the bottle.

13:21 Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

13:28 >> Party on Adley.

13:46 fans. Most ball games start off with a

13:48 ceremonial first pitch, but in case you

13:51 haven't noticed yet, this is not an

13:53 ordinary ball game in the Party Animal

13:56 Kingdom. Instead, we prefer to kick

13:58 things off with the ceremonial first

14:00 chug of the game. So, I'm here with

14:03 James and Justin, and these two beef

14:06 cakes are gonna throw down and compete

14:08 to see who can chug his can the fastest.

14:11 Whoever chucks his can first will earn

14:14 the distinct honor of towing the rubber

14:16 and firing his can home toward our

14:18 catcher behind home plate. But that's

14:21 not all, folks. The stakes have never

14:23 been higher because the winner of

14:25 today's first chug will also take on the

14:28 mantle of becoming the fan challenge

14:30 representative in today's ball game. So

14:34 before we get to chugging, just a quick

14:36 reminder, this is still a familyfriendly

14:39 show. So I'm not sure what these two

14:42 studs were crushing out in the parking

14:44 lot in the prearty line.

14:51 Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

14:53 CW from Truis Park in Atlanta, Georgia.

14:57 The finale of this threeame set between

14:59 the Savannah Bananas and the Party

15:01 Animals. And in the first two games of

15:04 this series so far, although a win for

15:07 each side, the Bananas have claimed the

15:10 equalizer point in each contest. That

15:12 means they have had more trick plays

15:13 [music] than the home team party animals

15:15 going into the final inning. And that

15:18 really loomed large last night in a 4-3

15:20 victory.

15:21 >> That was the deciding factor for the

15:22 Bananas. That fourth point that got them

15:24 the narrow 4 to3 victory. 22 trick plays

15:27 from the Bananas across two games. Last

15:29 night, only one trick play miss. They

15:32 really cleaned some things up

15:33 defensively from the night before and it

15:35 led them to victory. The Bananas have

15:37 five points in two games total. Two of

15:39 those points came off of the equalizer

15:41 due to their defense on night one. It

15:43 [music] was their lone point of the

15:45 game. last night. The difference, we

15:47 couldn't go to showdowns, the tied ball

15:48 game cuz the bananas had so many trick

15:50 plays. They trumped the party animals,

15:52 took that point, won the game because of

15:55 the plays you're seeing right now.

15:56 >> And as you can see, it was hotly

15:58 contested on night one. And then the

16:00 bananas ran away with that equalizer

16:02 point last night, ending up with eight

16:04 more trick plays than the party animals

16:06 when [music] when all was said and done.

16:08 And a big part of that is they also

16:09 jumped out early in points. And you

16:11 talked about it last night, Drake, but

16:12 when you're trailing in points and

16:14 you're behind in trick plays, you have

16:16 to tighten up your defense. It gets a

16:17 lot harder to try and negate that

16:19 equalizer.

16:19 >> Absolutely. And let's look around the

16:21 league at the different teams. The six

16:23 in the Banana Balls Championship League

16:25 and how they fare in trick play rate

16:27 this season. This is trick plays per

16:29 game. You see on the bottom that

16:31 explains [music] further what we've been

16:32 talking about as it pertains to the

16:34 Savannah Bananas. when they are the away

16:36 team. They've struggled all season long

16:38 to capture the equalizer. Here in

16:40 Atlanta, they are two for two. That's

16:42 brand new for Tyler Gillum [music]

16:44 squad. And you see them averaging nine

16:46 and a half trick plays per game this

16:47 season. They are averaging 10 [music]

16:49 even when playing the party animals this

16:51 year. They've done a great job at

16:53 putting the pressure on the boys in

16:54 black and pink. Especially considering

16:56 [music] you saw a four trick play inning

16:58 from the Bananas last night and you've

17:00 seen a couple different three trickplay

17:02 innings from the boys in yellow in this

17:03 series. And on that note, Josh, they

17:05 averaged 10 against the party animals in

17:07 each contest. The animals in two games

17:09 here at Atlanta have 11 combined. Yeah,

17:12 that is a problem when you are the home

17:14 team party animals. And let's just honor

17:16 the magnificence that is the Texas

17:18 Tailgator, nearly averaging 12 trick

17:20 plays a game. They had 15 in every

17:23 single game this weekend against the

17:25 Indianapolis Clowns. See you in a

17:27 minute, Bluff.

17:36 tense from there. Rule number four,

17:39 there is no bunting in banana ball. If

17:42 you know why, say it with me, Atlanta.

17:45 Because bunting sucks. If you bunt, you

17:49 are thrown out of the game. Swing the

17:52 bat, you coward. Rule number five,

17:54 batters can steal first base. Rule

17:57 number six, there are no walks in banana

18:00 ball. Upon ball forward is what we call

18:02 a ball for sprint when the runner can

18:04 advance as far as they want until all

18:07 nine fielders touch the ball. Rule

18:10 number seven, batters may not step out

18:13 of the batters box. If they do, it's a

18:16 strike. Rule number eight, no visits to

18:20 the pitchers mound. We keep the game

18:22 moving, people. Rule number nine, the

18:25 fan challenge rule. Once per game,

18:29 Vincent. Vincent, we've been through

18:31 this. This rule is here to stay. Once

18:34 per game, each team has an opportunity

18:37 to challenge the umpire's ruling on the

18:40 field. Which means not only can your

18:43 authority be challenged by the players,

18:46 your authority can be challenged by the

18:49 fans. Let's meet our fan challenge

18:53 representative over on this side. Where

18:55 you at? Hold that sign up. I don't know

18:58 where they are. He's your problem now,

19:00 Vincent. He's your problem. Now, rule

19:03 number 10 and the most fans first rule

19:06 of them all. Atlanta, I hope you brought

19:08 your glove today because if any of you

19:11 cleanly catch a foul ball, it counts as

19:15 an out. And the first fan caught foul

19:19 ball will win themselves and their

19:22 entire world.

19:31 >> Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

19:32 CW. Heck of a pitching matchup today.

19:34 Drew Gillespie only his third career

19:37 Banana Ball start, his first since 2023.

19:40 Connor Harris, the rookie, the first

19:42 time he's ever made a start in his young

19:43 Banana Ball career. And the reason

19:45 you're seeing Gillespie today, who is

19:46 typically in the closer role of the

19:48 Party Animals and was the 2024 Banana

19:50 Ball pitcher of the year in that closer

19:52 role, they need to bring the mojo back.

19:56 The bad bad man from Albuquerque has not

19:58 been that bad man from Albuquerque.

20:00 Instead, his late inning fall aparts

20:02 have marred his 2026. He was spectacular

20:06 night one here in Atlanta in a relief

20:07 role. Tonight, he starts to get his get

20:09 back. But you see Connor Harris on the

20:12 other hand, he across his career at

20:14 Winthre and George Washington, 68 12% of

20:17 his games were starts. So this is

20:19 something that he's very comfortable

20:21 doing. [music] And Tyler Gil wanted to

20:23 put him out on the mound because he

20:25 continues to hear from all these players

20:26 across the Banana Ball Championship

20:28 League that he is one of the most

20:30 uncomfortable at bats. A big herky jerky

20:34 guy out there on the mound. A nice

20:35 [music] three pitch mix as well. He's

20:38 been really solid for this banana squad.

20:40 You hit the nail on the head. Herky

20:41 Jerky. He's got an odd delivery and that

20:43 can throw you off.

20:44 >> And he's the tallest player in the sport

20:46 when anybody is not wearing stilts. 6' 8

20:49 in tall. Harris all arms and legs. And

20:52 as you talked about Josh, the majority

20:54 of his outings in his college career

20:56 were starts. That's 39 starts across

21:00 over 200 innings between George

21:02 Washington and Winthre. And on the other

21:04 side of the coin, Drew Gillespie. We get

21:08 a trip all the way back to Franklin

21:10 Field September 8th. Kira Delena was

21:13 supposed to start this game, injured his

21:15 ankle, warming up out in right field.

21:16 And Gillespie was stupendous. Seven and

21:19 a third innings getting the win. Yeah,

21:21 he really stepped things up for the

21:22 party animals. It was a key part of them

21:24 being able to rattle up nine straight

21:26 wins and win that season series against

21:29 the Savannah Bananas in 2023. Allaround

21:32 dominance for Gillespie. And again, he

21:34 did that on very short notice. today. He

21:37 is very prepared for this start. You got

21:39 to feel good about what he can do.

21:40 >> Talked to him this morning. He's

21:42 supremely confident in his abilities to

21:45 start. And this this is the moment where

21:48 he revitalizes his year. Rex Castillo

21:50 also spoke to Drew.

21:54 >> Hey guys, you know Drew Gillespie, the

21:56 closing pitcher, right? Well, I want to

21:57 reintroduce you to Drew Gillespie, the

22:00 starting pitcher. Last time you got that

22:02 role, September of 2023. Let's go back

22:06 to that time. What was it like to be the

22:07 starting pitcher? Get the call from VA

22:09 then.

22:09 >> Yeah, that was quite some time ago. Um I

22:12 remember that day quite literally like

22:14 it was yesterday. Vava came up to me and

22:16 was like, "Hey man, we need you to

22:17 start." Delano just went down with an

22:18 ankle [music] injury. It's like you're

22:20 joking kind of reaction, but then went

22:22 out there, you know, just did what the

22:23 team needed uh me to do and that's what

22:25 I'm hoping to do tonight.

22:26 >> See, it was a little bit of walk down

22:28 memory lane right there. But let's talk

22:29 about today, Drew. It's been over 900

22:32 days since then, but is there an

22:34 excitement or are you just ready to step

22:35 up and help out the Party Animals win

22:37 this series?

22:37 >> Yeah, the nerves are there. They're

22:38 always there, which is a good thing in

22:40 my opinion. [music] And uh yeah, I'm

22:41 excited to try and start this one off.

22:43 Hop for the Party Animals, get this win.

22:45 Um not a must win. It's still early in

22:47 the year, but definitely be nice to get

22:49 this win, win the series, and move on to

22:51 Indianapolis.

22:52 >> Hey, not a must win today. Of course,

22:53 everyone wants the Black and Pig to win,

22:55 but we got to do a must. We got to give

22:56 a shout out to mom. You want to give a

22:57 shout out to mom on Mother's Day?

22:58 >> Of course. Hi, mama. Um, happy Mother's

23:00 Day. Love you. Um, tune in and I'll talk

23:04 to you later.

23:04 >> See, there you go, guys. Let's send it

23:05 back to you.

23:09 >> Thank you very much, Rex. Happy Mother's

23:11 Day, Sharon. [music] When we come back,

23:14 we will get the entire starting lineup

23:16 for the party animals in [music] front

23:17 of this full capacity crowd in Atlanta.

23:51 Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls and

25:19 gentlemen, this is

25:30 Now it's TIME TO MEET THE STARTING

25:32 LINEUP FOR THE party animals.

25:38 Coming from in front of section 10, the

25:40 catcher number five, Andy Codgro,

25:56 a tap of the drum under the Coca-Cola

26:00 sign. THE CENTER FIELDER NUMBER SIX,

26:02 Hice

26:04 Hampton.

26:12 Kill it from between sections 410 and

26:15 411. The designated hitter X

26:21 [screaming]

26:31 coming from under the chop house side in

26:33 right field. Today's right fielder

26:36 number three DJ

26:39 Reed

26:51 >> coming from the Jackie Robinson

26:53 staircase between 241 and 242. The first

26:55 baseman number two Jason

27:01 [groaning]

27:21 the shorts down. Number 11, Chase.

27:30 The second baseman, number one, Ashton

27:34 Landdale.

27:41 [cheering]

27:44 [screaming]

27:44 >> Coming from the concourse here, section

27:47 100, the extra header, number four, Ter.

28:04 On top of the third base dugout, the

28:06 third baseman number eight

28:17 on top [screaming] of the first base dug

28:20 out the left field there. Number 12, New

28:23 World.

28:37 Coming from the first base dugout

28:40 tunnel, today's starting pitcher,

28:44 number 28,

28:46 Jerus, [screaming]

28:55 >> the head coach for the party.

28:56 >> We are about 3 minutes away from first

28:59 pitch. When we come back, the banana

29:01 starting lineup and the conclusion to

29:03 this threeame set.

29:15 Ladies and gentlemen, at this time we

29:17 ask that you please rise if able, remove

29:20 your caps, and join us in honoring

29:22 America with the singing of today's

29:24 national anthem. Please welcome to the

29:27 field the four fellers quartet.

29:34 Oh, say can [singing] you [music] see by

29:38 the dawn's early [singing] light, what

29:41 so proudly we held [music and singing]

29:45 at the twilight lastly me.

29:51 Who's stripes and bright stars through

29:55 [music] the perilous

29:57 fight. [singing]

29:59 For the ramp parts we watched

30:03 were so gallently [singing]

30:06 streaming.

30:09 And the rockets red rockets gling

30:18 gave proof through the [singing] night

30:22 that our flag was still [singing] there.

30:26 Oh, say does that star [music] spangled

30:32 Bet [singing]

30:35 way

30:39 for the land

30:41 [singing] of the plain of the free

30:44 [music]

30:46 and the home

30:50 of the

30:52 brave.

30:58 Atlanta, stay standing. Put your arm

31:01 around the person to your right. Put

31:03 your arm around the person to your left.

31:06 We're starting this off with a big old

31:09 swag, sir.

31:28 We are mere moments from first pitch as

31:31 we bring you Banana Ball live on the CW.

31:34 The original rivalry in the sport. The

31:37 12 and5 Savannah Bananas against the 7

31:40 and 11 party animals. An epic conclusion

31:43 to a 9game weekend as we welcome you

31:46 back inside with Josh Tipsky, Drake Tol.

31:48 I am Bo Scalla. The scene is set. The

31:52 series is on the line.

31:53 >> 41,000 on hand right here. But I think

31:55 the most important people are both in

31:56 venue and at home. And the mothers, the

31:58 grandmothers who made this whole thing

32:00 happen. We wouldn't be here for the

32:01 moms, right? And and my grandma, my

32:04 Mimi, is the biggest party animal fan in

32:06 the world. That's who they're trying to

32:07 win for today. Happy Mother's Day, Mimi.

32:10 Josh, your thoughts on today's game.

32:11 >> It's going to be a really thrilling

32:13 contest. Exciting to see who wins this

32:15 series so far. the Bananas and Party

32:17 Animals three and three against each

32:19 other. So, they have been very even

32:21 contest. But if the Bananas can earn yet

32:23 another equalizer point in this series,

32:25 they may have the upper hand today. And

32:27 you know what? It wouldn't hurt to add

32:28 on uh besides happy Mother's Day to my

32:31 mom, happy Mother's Day to my

32:33 grandmother's, to my mother-in-law, to

32:35 my host mom, to my stepmom. Got them

32:37 all. Check Check those boxes. Heck yeah.

32:40 I'm blessed to have a lot of bombs. Uh

32:42 let's take a look at the defense for the

32:45 party animals. Left to right in their

32:47 outfield. Noah Fischer, Reese Hampton,

32:49 John Howard, Bobo, who's the designated

32:51 fielder. Third to first in the infield.

32:53 It's Bryson Bloomer, Chase Akup, Ashton

32:55 Lens, Dell getting her first start of

32:57 the series. Then Jason Swan, Andy

32:59 Cosgrove is the catcher.

33:00 >> And those numbers you see are trick

33:01 plays. The Party Animals have lost the

33:03 equalizer point the last two days. They

33:05 need it today to get back in the

33:08 momentum category as far as the

33:10 equalizer goes and try to win this ball

33:12 game.

33:12 >> Yeah, they need to especially lean on

33:13 Chase Akup eighth in the Banana Ball

33:15 Championship League in trick plays and

33:17 Jason Swan. He has a trick play in six

33:19 of his last seven games for the Animals.

33:21 And in the middle of it all, as Drake

33:24 loves to say, the bad bad man from

33:26 Albuquerque, New Mexico, Drew Gillespie,

33:29 here in his fourth World Tour, the 2024

33:32 Banana Ball pitcher of the year, one of

33:34 the best arms in the history of the

33:36 sport. And boy was he fantastic. In the

33:38 only two starts he's had in his Banana

33:40 Ball career, they came in 2023. And you

33:43 see in these two career starts for

33:45 Gillespie, the earned run average below

33:47 one for him. He has worked awfully quick

33:49 on the pitcher mound as well, averaging

33:51 three outs in 3 minutes and 32 seconds

33:55 in this span. And you see just complete

33:57 control of that strike zone. 12

34:00 strikeouts compared to just four ball

34:02 force sprints.

34:03 >> And he has slept since he started his

34:05 last game. So don't expect him to go

34:06 five, six, seven innings deep, but

34:08 expect him to be very efficient for

34:09 three innings today.

34:10 >> He's got a gander at the banana starting

34:12 lineup. Dr. Meadows back at the top for

34:14 a second straight game. Then Robert

34:15 Anthony Cruz, Dan Oburst cleaning it up.

34:17 Mr. Reese Alexiatis followed by Kyle

34:20 Jackson, Ryan Cox, Ty Jackson, Bryce

34:22 Grazafi getting his second start of the

34:24 year. Then Jackson Olsen and Max Young

34:26 Goldberg. And you saw Robert Anthony

34:28 Cruz launch his team leading fourth home

34:30 run last night for the Bananas. They

34:32 continue to keep him up elevated in this

34:34 lineup. But Max Young Goldberg has done

34:37 such a good job at feeding the top half

34:39 of this Bananas order. Three ball four

34:42 sprints last night and a single as well.

34:44 We are about to get our first pitch, but

34:46 before that, we must start the party. AJ

34:49 Kersh, you have the honor.

34:51 >> Here we go with AJ Kersh. Hey AJ, this

34:54 looks like a crowd that's ready to start

34:56 the party.

35:00 >> ATLANTA, THE MOMENT YOU have been

35:02 waiting for has arrived. It is time to

35:06 kick off the greatest party in sports.

35:10 We're going to count it down to start

35:12 that patented banana ball 2hour time

35:15 limit clock. And instead of zero, I need

35:18 each and every one of you to yell,

35:21 "Start the party as loud as you can."

35:24 Here we go. 3 2 1

35:33 Show time.

35:34 >> Let's play banana ball in Atlanta. Oh

35:37 my. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THIS SPORTS

35:39 HISTORY, THE PARTY ANIMALS, the headline

35:41 show, their cast, their crew, impressing

35:44 40,000 plus,

35:48 >> Dr. Meadows wastes no time lining that

35:50 one foul. And we are underway. The

35:52 Banana's team leader in batting average

35:54 comes in hitting 377,

35:57 even after only going 1 for seven so far

35:59 in this series. And he is plunked right

36:01 on the number five.

36:04 The doctor taps his helmet. A little

36:06 inside banana ball. That means he's not

36:07 injured. And if the Bananas have any

36:10 scheduled entertainment, should one of

36:11 their hitters be plunked, then they

36:14 would have done it. Uh Dr. did a four

36:17 roll

36:18 >> for Gillespie this season, too. That's

36:20 been one of the bugaboos. He's now hit

36:22 five batters in 10 and a third innings.

36:26 >> And we talked about it on Friday night

36:28 when he came in. He'd only hit eight

36:29 batters across over 150 innings in his

36:32 banana ball career coming into this

36:33 year. So, it's just an odd outlier stat

36:36 right there. You can never predict

36:38 baseball nor banana ball. Robert Anthony

36:40 Cruz got the offense going last night.

36:44 A home run to right. Two batters into

36:46 the game. HE CHOPS THIS FAIR DOWN THE

36:48 FIRST BASELINE. Danny Hosley, the

36:51 designated runner for the first time in

36:52 his career. He goes first to third. Rack

36:55 into second with a double. Andy Cosbro

36:58 Applectic

37:00 at the call by first base umpire Jake

37:02 Moore. He was sure it was found.

37:04 >> They want a review of this. There's a

37:05 challenge coming from the Party Animals

37:07 dugout.

37:10 >> And and obviously all of the guys in

37:13 Pinstripes were behemoth about it.

37:16 >> This is such a tough call to overturn.

37:18 The hardest to overturn in Banana. You

37:20 just you have to get an angle that

37:22 proves to you that the ball was found.

37:24 >> And each team has one challenge. The

37:25 party animals could have just burned

37:27 theirs. We won't be able to tell from

37:28 angle like this.

37:29 >> That angle will not tell you anything.

37:30 It's where the ball crossed first base.

37:33 And that angle won't tell you anything

37:34 either. It doesn't matter where it

37:36 bounces. It's where it crosses first

37:37 base.

37:38 >> Right.

37:39 >> And without the cam of Vincent Chapman,

37:42 if we have the ump cam, that's literally

37:44 the only thing I think that could

37:45 possibly flip this car.

37:46 >> Correct.

37:47 >> We do not have the cam today.

37:49 >> And it it could be an inch inside that

37:51 line or on that white line in the air.

37:54 There's really no way to tell in a

37:55 scenario like this. And I'm not seeing

37:57 any definitive camera footage that

37:59 proves that this is a foul ball. The

38:01 party animals will lose their challenge

38:02 for the rest of the game on just the

38:04 second batter of the game. [music]

38:27 And by the way, this is what we're

38:28 seeing. The umpires in the dugout could

38:30 have something entirely different as far

38:31 as their psyche, the way they're talking

38:33 about this. Their discussion is separate

38:35 from ours. It's their call that will

38:37 ultimately decide where this sways.

38:42 >> Here we go. Vincent Chapman the ruling

38:44 on the field stands.

38:46 >> Yes,

38:48 >> exactly what we thought. So if it was a

38:50 ball in the air off the bat, then it's

38:52 where the ball lands, but it was a

38:53 chopper from rack. So it's just where

38:55 does it cross the base and

38:59 >> Jake Moore had the best view in the

39:00 house. He thought it was a fair ball.

39:02 >> You've got to have clear evidence to

39:04 overturn his call.

39:06 >> So a Baltimore chop two bagger for Cruz.

39:10 He's on second. Hosley on third and the

39:14 dangerous designated hitter Dan Overst

39:17 with a couple ducks on the pond and the

39:19 infield drawn in.

39:22 Trying to make it backto-back games

39:24 where the Bananas strike in the first

39:25 inning.

39:28 Fly ball deep out to right. That will

39:30 easily score Hosley. John Howard Bobo

39:33 makes the catch. Hosley comes home. Cruz

39:36 follows him to third. Ober does the job.

39:39 The Bananas have a run.

39:54 >> He had a double to right in the first

39:56 inning last night.

39:58 >> His child at home plate, boys.

40:02 >> I don't think that's regulation.

40:03 >> And you're not talking about Nicolen.

40:07 It's exactly what I was talking about.

40:08 There's a princess amongst the children.

40:11 >> Right.

40:13 Right.

40:15 >> Spin. Spin from her youngster.

40:17 >> Some swagger. She's been rehearsing that

40:19 all week.

40:22 >> I'm not sure what she was supposed to

40:23 do, but I think she nailed it.

40:25 >> Nailed it for sure. And And let's keep

40:27 in mind, the sport of banana ball, every

40:28 inning counts as a point. So, the

40:30 bananas have not officially scored in

40:32 this game yet. It's one run to zero in

40:34 the first. The party animals can still

40:36 match it in the bottom half of the

40:38 inning or even win the point themselves

40:40 if they rally.

40:42 >> What a tough start for Drew Gillespie.

40:44 Hits Dr. Meadows on the second pitch of

40:46 the game and then induces a ground ball

40:49 that hit somewhere else in the infield.

40:50 Could have been a double play. Just

40:52 happens to hop over his first baseman

40:54 who's holding on Hosley. That is a real

40:56 tough luck double and he's behind one

41:00 run trying to limit the damage to that

41:02 infield. still in. Reese Alexiatis

41:05 bounces this one to third between the

41:07 legs. Bryson Bloomer gets the trick

41:09 play. That is a big second out.

41:16 >> Trick play as well if you're the party

41:18 animals. And they are trying to stop

41:20 that equalizer point any way they can

41:23 today. Excellent play from Bloomer who

41:25 had the night off last night.

41:31 Kyle Jackson with two down and rack

41:34 still on third base.

41:38 >> Back door bender in there for strike

41:39 one. KJ two for six on the series. He

41:42 had the only extra base hit for the

41:43 Bananas on Friday night. A double.

41:46 >> Yep. 0 for three last night with a ball

41:47 for sprint.

41:50 That would mean that a guy with a 452

41:52 OBP is probably due.

41:56 you know, video game numbers once again

41:58 for Kyle Jackson here in his second full

42:00 world tour.

42:04 But a wave and a miss, a sword at that

42:06 as Drew Gillespie limits the damage to

42:08 just one run and he is fired up.

42:12 And Kyle Jackson's been one of those

42:13 defending or should I say MVP candidates

42:16 for the Savannah Bananas this season and

42:19 in banana ball at large. Got ahead of

42:21 him 02, challenged him up in the zone.

42:23 Great execution. Here's the Bananas

42:26 defensive alignment with one run to work

42:28 with here in the first. Left to right in

42:29 their outfield, it's rack, Alexi, and

42:32 Tai Jackson. Then in the infield, third

42:34 to first, KJ Cox, Olsen, Young Goldberg,

42:37 Bryce Grazafi, his first ever start

42:39 behind the dish, Alex Ziggler, the

42:41 designated fielder. Yeah, you've got a

42:43 rookie to rookie battery today in Harris

42:45 and Gresafi. But Ryan Cox and Kyle

42:48 Jackson have really been those big

42:50 forces in earning the bananas, the

42:52 equalizer points in both games this

42:54 weekend. Both guys have had a trio of

42:56 trick plays in each of the first two

42:58 games. In the middle of it all, the 6'8

43:02 righty Connor Harris out of Avon,

43:04 Connecticut. Three pitch mix, fastball,

43:06 knuckle curve, kick change. Guy who was

43:08 a starter across the majority of his

43:11 college career at George Washington and

43:12 Winthre. My favorite nugget on Harris.

43:15 He was a visitor, a part of the banana

43:17 ball developmental team in 2025. And he

43:20 was actually injured the week of that

43:22 team's first games. Didn't know if he'd

43:24 be able to throw and he only had six

43:26 games as a visitor to prove himself in

43:29 the sport. Nonetheless, worked his way

43:32 back. Looked good enough in practice and

43:34 what limited time he got and was drafted

43:36 by the Bananas. And now starting in

43:37 front of 40,000.

43:38 >> And he's had a very solid last month for

43:41 the Bananas. He averaged three outs and

43:43 3 minutes and 33 seconds in April. That

43:45 was fourth best in the league. Here is

43:47 the party animal starting lineup.

43:49 Cosgrove, Hampton, and Skull due to

43:51 swing it here in the first. Then TJ

43:52 Reeves, the cleanup man for a third time

43:54 in this series. Swan, then Ashton

43:57 Landell, the brat of Marietta, Georgia

43:59 from 10 minutes down the road, hitting

44:01 in that sixhole, followed by Auff,

44:03 Thomas Bloomer, and Fischer. And you're

44:05 wondering why is the leadoff hitter

44:07 hitting 212? Well, he was the rookie of

44:08 the year last season, a 17th rounder to

44:11 the Minnesota Twins, Andy Cosgrove, one

44:13 of the best in the game, still waiting

44:15 to catch on. And Reese Hampton, despite

44:16 that 182 average, has a 341 OBP for the

44:20 former Detroit Tigers farm half. Well,

44:23 you talk about what Cosgrove did in his

44:25 first full world tour last year. Hit

44:27 335, had a 437 on base percentage, and

44:32 led the Party Animals with 13 walk-offs.

44:34 He came up in the clutch so often.

44:38 He'll represent the inning tying run for

44:41 now.

44:42 And he drives this deep out to left.

44:45 Rack in pursuit and he won't get there.

44:48 One hop into the bullpen. Ground rule

44:50 double to get the animals offense going.

44:53 >> That is the kind of knock that Andy

44:55 Cosgrove needs to build the confidence

44:57 again hitting 212 but still has 15 RBI,

45:00 a 328 OBP early this season. bump that

45:04 slugging up. Cosgrove to second base.

45:07 Now Mark Smith, the designated runner,

45:09 will take his spot.

45:12 >> And Reese Hampton a chance to even up

45:15 this inning in one fell swoop. He

45:16 represents the inning winning run. Happy

45:18 Mother's Day from Party. Love that.

45:21 >> Party's got an interesting story.

45:23 >> Yeah, I didn't know if we were going to

45:25 mention it or not.

45:26 >> Originally an orphan in the jungle who

45:28 found his way to the party animals,

45:30 >> right? He considers them all to be

45:32 equally his mother.

45:33 >> Okay,

45:35 happy ending. Reese Hampton flicks this

45:38 one out to left center. Alexiotis tracks

45:41 it down. Smith is going to tag. No. Wow.

45:44 I cannot believe [music] Mark Smith did

45:46 not tag and go to third there.

45:48 >> Vico, from my vantage point, I think he

45:50 would have had it by a step or two if he

45:52 takes off.

45:53 >> I did too.

45:55 Alexiatis has a fantastic arm, but you

45:58 have to challenge him in that situation,

45:59 >> right?

46:01 >> Down by a run in this inning. You got to

46:03 force it.

46:03 >> And usually that's a scenario where, you

46:05 know, Reese Alexi tries a tip drill,

46:07 some [music] kind of trick play to get

46:08 the bananas on the board, but instead

46:10 just trying to make sure he can hold the

46:11 inning lead right now. That's why you

46:13 didn't see a tip. As soon as he had,

46:15 Mark Smith could have tagged up and it

46:17 would have made his life a lot easier.

46:21 We'll see if it ends up mattering here

46:23 in this first inning. That one gets the

46:25 outside corner to even up the count on

46:27 Jake Skull.

46:28 >> That 90 ft so important too with the MVP

46:30 at the plate.

46:32 >> Right. You would potentially see the

46:34 bananas bring the infield in trying to

46:35 earn

46:38 >> the point here in the first inning. And

46:39 you know the old adage, you bring the

46:40 infield in, hitter's batting average

46:43 goes up 100 points. He already got a guy

46:45 hitting .344.

46:46 Last night, Jake Skull late innings

46:49 walked off the eighth with the infield

46:51 in

46:54 >> and it was on a soft grounder through

46:56 the right side.

46:59 Patient as ever, Skull works the count

47:01 full now with the ball for Sprint. Every

47:04 defender will have to touch the ball.

47:05 So, Mark Smith will have plenty of time

47:06 to score easily and tie the first.

47:11 The payoff

47:14 fast ball misses. Skull knocks this

47:16 inning up as Smith comes home.

47:20 And now the inning winning run aboard.

47:22 And you're wondering, you may be

47:23 wondering at home, why didn't he run? He

47:24 can go as far as he wants. So the entire

47:26 defense touches the ball. Skull's

47:28 hamstrings still at about 80 85% right

47:30 now. He's nursing that injury. It's why

47:32 he's not playing in the field. But his

47:34 bat is so good. You have to have him out

47:35 [music] there. And now he ties the

47:38 inning with an RBI.

47:40 picks up his fourth ball four sprint of

47:43 the weekend.

47:48 >> Gosh, hope that woman is okay in the

47:50 upper deck. I think

47:52 that foul ball from TJ Reeves got on her

47:55 quickly.

47:57 TJ Banana Ball rookie, sixth round draft

47:59 pick and he cranks this out to left

48:02 center. Alexi can't get there.

48:05 [cheering]

48:06 Skull cruising around third. Relay from

48:09 Cox

48:11 late and the party animals are up for

48:13 two runs, flipping the script ON THE

48:15 FIRST. 85% WHO NEEDS A HAMSTRING. JAKE

48:19 Skull the hustle PLAY OFF THE BAT of the

48:22 rookie TJ Reeves. The Party Animals get

48:24 after Connor Harris quickly picked up

48:27 his first career walk-off on Friday

48:30 night. Doubles that tally here this

48:32 afternoon. The Party Animals lead one to

48:35 nothing. And let's see what's going on

48:38 with these party animals princesses.

48:45 [screaming]

48:57 [cheering]

49:02 >> [cheering]

49:08 [cheering]

49:15 [cheering]

49:20 >> And that was Party Animals Princesses.

49:22 >> Interesting.

49:26 Are the princesses in the room with us?

49:28 right now.

49:28 >> Nope.

49:30 >> They're in the stadium with us. But I

49:32 see no princesses in here. Just Chad and

49:34 Jay Rich.

49:35 >> Yeah, you got some awesome beauty shots

49:37 though of fans all the way up in the

49:39 400s down to the 100s and on the field.

49:43 >> This atmosphere has turned black and

49:45 pink. Still a healthy [music] dose of

49:47 Savannah Bananas jerseys with the Party

49:49 Animals hosting their own MLB stadium

49:51 for the first time ever. And it's been a

49:53 great weekend of shows. And how about

49:55 the offense picking up Drew Gillespie

49:58 who bared down, had a tough luck run

50:00 against him in the first,

50:02 but he had a runner on third with one

50:04 out and stranded him there as Ryan Cox

50:08 puts a charge into this deep out to

50:09 right. Bobo there for the first out here

50:12 in the top of the second.

50:14 >> And I understand for Bobo it's a tough

50:16 play, but without a trick play right

50:18 there, you you start to think about the

50:20 opportunities you may be squandering.

50:22 You don't want to force the issue too

50:23 much, but with the Bananas winning the

50:24 equalizer the last two days, you need as

50:26 many as you can get, wherever you can

50:28 get them.

50:28 >> Well, you saw John Howard Bobo's first

50:30 step was actually in when Cox line that

50:33 one out to right field. That made things

50:34 tricky for him. Now Bobo gets another

50:37 opportunity. And there you see the trick

50:39 play from the party animals designated

50:42 fielder. Had the right beat on that one

50:44 off the bat of Tai Jackson. And now the

50:47 Animals with two to the banana zero.

50:50 That's the first trick play in the

50:51 career of John Howard Bobo.

50:54 >> Tip drill made it look easy.

50:55 >> An entertainment player, a rapper.

51:00 >> Bobo on the team to showcase his

51:02 entertainment skills. Turns out great

51:04 outfielder.

51:16 Two- two count on Bryce Graffi. This is

51:19 only his second career played

51:20 appearance. His first was in his home

51:23 state of Louisiana in the Superdome in

51:25 front of 70,000 fans. He doubled. Drew

51:28 Gillespie strikes him out. And that

51:30 comes in 1 minute and 21 seconds for

51:34 Drew Gillespie. A lightning fast inning

51:37 for the right-hander. And this is

51:39 exactly what we talked about. When this

51:40 guy gets starts on the pitcher mound, he

51:43 works at a lightning fast pace.

51:48 As we head to the bottom of the second,

51:49 I'll tell you what, this crowd is

51:52 bananas. And it looks like some banana

51:54 super fans have taken over the fan cam.

51:57 See Minions and Monsters only in

51:59 theaters on July [music] 1st. Get your

52:01 tickets now. It's going to be bananas.

52:08 I love those minions. I like the ones

52:10 with two eyes. They freak me out a

52:11 little bit less.

52:13 >> Let's see what's happening on the field.

52:16 Party crashers will be checking IDs, so

52:19 be sure to get your drinks while they

52:21 last. They're going to go fast.

52:35 To be very clear, that is a promotion.

52:38 That's

52:42 the uh the party animals flare

52:44 bartenders love to cook up some

52:46 cranberry juice and water. No doubt.

52:50 >> I love watered down cranberry juice.

52:51 >> That sign is actually specifically used

52:54 for the first the baby DJ that walks out

52:56 for the animals pregame.

52:58 >> Right.

52:58 >> He represents the first era era of the

53:01 game and is obviously under 21 years

53:04 old. He is a baby. And that sign has

53:06 made its way to the upper decks.

53:07 >> One of our core principles, relentlessly

53:09 resourceful.

53:10 >> Correct.

53:10 >> Found another use for it.

53:12 >> Correct. We only have seven Sharpies

53:13 amongst all of us. [laughter]

53:17 >> Barrel. Jason Swan. First pitch HE SEES.

53:20 SHOT OUT OF A CANNON OUT TO RIGHT

53:22 CENTER. ALEXI goes between the legs.

53:25 Can't get the trick play though. Swanie

53:27 a double. His first hit of the series.

53:29 It was only a matter of time.

53:30 >> Right. Swan had a really tough night the

53:32 last two here in Atlanta. Yet his OBP

53:35 still sitting at 429. You said it only a

53:38 matter of time. The double there for one

53:40 of the most practiced hitters in the

53:41 entire sport.

53:43 >> Yeah. Was previously 0 for seven. Now

53:45 all three hits for the animals have been

53:47 barreled today.

53:48 >> Yep.

53:49 >> Ashton lands down.

53:51 >> How cool is this? With her mother

53:55 in her home state,

53:58 10 minutes away from her home city.

54:02 had a specialty walk up

54:10 and Ashton's turned into a legend of

54:12 Banana Ball. This is quickly her third

54:14 world tour. Started as a Savannah Banana

54:17 back in 2024. This [music] is her second

54:20 campaign with the Party Animals. Beloved

54:22 by her teammates and fans alike.

54:23 >> Fits in so well with this team, too.

54:26 She's almost hidden in the best way in

54:29 that she fits into the point where

54:31 you're watching everybody out there

54:32 hacky sacking. There she is in the

54:34 middle of it. Where's Ashton? She's

54:36 somewhere where the rest of the Black

54:37 and Pink reside at all times.

54:44 Some some new players try to do too

54:46 much, some do too little, some fit

54:48 perfectly. She's exactly that.

54:52 >> And talked about it an inning ago, it

54:53 bears repeating. She's from Marietta,

54:55 Georgia. Her house is literally 10

54:57 minutes from Truis [music] Park. This is

54:58 as special as could be. She's had over

55:01 50 members of her friends and family

55:03 here in Truest Park across the weekend.

55:05 Now she gets her first plate appearance.

55:07 Big cut and a miss.

55:10 Ashton seven played appearances this

55:12 year. 0 for five so far, but two ball

55:14 for sprints earned.

55:18 quickly behind 02.

55:27 >> Inning winning run on second base

55:31 as Harris misses wide. And Ashton, a

55:34 member of the United States Women's

55:36 National Baseball Team since she was 17

55:38 years old, all the way back in 2018.

55:42 She was the youngest member to make that

55:44 2018 team.

55:55 She's worked from 02 to 32.

56:00 >> Such a professional hitter. Ball four

56:03 will win the inning for the party

56:04 animals.

56:08 >> Wow, what a battle. 6'8 versus 5'6.

56:12 Ashton Landelle has not backed down.

56:19 Seventh pitch of the battle.

56:21 >> BALL FOUR. ASHTON Landell earns her

56:24 first WALK-OFF OF THE YEAR HERE IN HER

56:26 HOMETOWN AS THE ANIMALS are up two to

56:29 nothing. That is special stuff for

56:31 Ashton Landell. All of her Party Animals

56:34 teammates coming out to celebrate with

56:36 her. And the Animals striking early

56:39 today in Atlanta already up two zip.

56:42 >> Oh no.

56:43 >> To the Party Animals.

56:44 >> Oh no. Here it comes.

56:45 >> First, are you ready?

56:47 >> But first, I NEED EVERYONE TO CLAP.

56:50 >> OH, NO. Don't do it. I've seen how this

56:53 ends.

56:53 >> I'm sorry.

56:55 Mark

56:57 is my friend. Mark's got a dirty diaper.

57:00 Get up and dance. Get up and dance.

57:04 Mark, you can't sit down. I have a

57:07 friend.

57:09 >> Mark, no.

57:12 >> P is my friend. Get up and dance.

57:15 >> It gets [laughter] me every time.

57:18 >> IT'S LIKE I'M WATCHING ALL TIME. THAT'S

57:21 INCREDIBLE. It's pretty simple. All Mark

57:24 has to do is listen to the directions.

57:25 Another look at the walk-off sprint from

57:28 Ashton Landell.

57:53 We have a treat for you. Things move

57:56 fast here in Banana Ball and this is the

58:00 world's fastest party. We've got two

58:04 lovely moms here, Catherine and Ma. And

58:08 here's what the race entails. You're

58:10 going to start at home plate. When I say

58:12 go, you're going to run to first or you

58:15 are going to demolish a cupcake as fast

58:18 as you can. You're going to take off to

58:20 second base where two party animals will

58:22 be waiting for you with delicious frosty

58:24 beverages. You got to down those drinks,

58:27 run to third base where you will

58:29 retrieve a pie. And then you two will be

58:33 waiting at home plate. And the first

58:35 competitor to pie their son will win

58:39 world's fastest race. Ladies, to the

58:42 plate.

58:46 And here we go. [screaming]

58:51 And they're off.

58:53 They are sprinting with everything

58:54 they've got. They are

59:05 Banana Ball on the CW is brought to you

59:07 by PNC Bank. Brilliantly boring since

59:11 1865.

59:14 Two innings in the books.

59:17 Party Animals up 2-0.

59:20 >> Pile clock. You know, my grandmother

59:23 spent all morning making those pies.

59:27 Tony Burroughs should be incensed.

59:31 Instant replay of pies to the face with

59:34 scubas to follow

59:37 >> and her homemade whipped cream, too.

59:39 >> Yeah.

59:40 >> Now, most you just got to you just got

59:42 to respect that.

59:43 >> Most of her pies are just whipped cream

59:45 from the dollar store. But

59:47 >> the love and care, the stirring all

59:50 morning.

59:51 >> Mimi, they've been down one.

59:56 >> Highf fly ball deep out to right center.

59:59 AND REE HAMPTON BEHIND THE BACK TO take

1:00:02 care of Jackson Olsen.

1:00:03 >> He continues to go behind the back with

1:00:06 elite success here in TRUEST PART. REESE

1:00:10 HAMPTON IS INCREDIBLY confident when it

1:00:13 comes to that trick play. That's the

1:00:15 third time he's done it in this series

1:00:17 for the party animals. And now they're

1:00:20 out to a commanding lead in the trick

1:00:22 plays. and and you say that especially

1:00:24 considering considering the bananas

1:00:26 [music] have only gotten one out

1:00:27 defensively today. So that has really

1:00:30 helped the party handles when it comes

1:00:31 to collecting these trick plays.

1:00:32 >> And that's why the equalizer point is

1:00:34 swayed the way it is. It's why the home

1:00:36 team cannot win a point via the

1:00:39 equalizer because typically the ABS can

1:00:42 be skewed because of the walk-offs.

1:00:45 >> Max Young Goldberg has been the toughest

1:00:47 out [music] for either team in Atlanta

1:00:49 this weekend. He's worked this count

1:00:51 2-2. He's two for three with four ball,

1:00:55 four sprints.

1:00:57 Wow. Wow. Drew Gillespie scraping the

1:01:00 inside corner for his third K. And let's

1:01:02 paint that picture a little bit more.

1:01:04 Josh, you just hit the nail on the head.

1:01:05 The party animals bats are so hot. The

1:01:07 Bananas have gotten just one out, one

1:01:09 opportunity. Meaning that visiting team,

1:01:13 it it can be tough to get trick plays.

1:01:15 The home team's walking the thing off,

1:01:17 >> right? And the party animals put the

1:01:18 pressure on the bananas. They already

1:01:20 had a guy in scoring position as

1:01:21 Alexiotis made his catch in center field

1:01:23 for that loan out.

1:01:25 >> So didn't want to go for the trick play

1:01:27 because he wanted to keep Smith from

1:01:28 getting up to third base. It has been a

1:01:31 really tricky game so far for the

1:01:32 Nanners.

1:01:33 >> Yep.

1:01:34 >> And the home team is always forced to

1:01:36 get three outs in an inning. They'll

1:01:37 always have more opportunities for trick

1:01:39 plays.

1:01:40 >> Dr. Meadows to his counterpart, Mr.

1:01:44 Reese Hampton. Tip to Bobo in the hat.

1:01:47 Double trick play.

1:01:49 Three trick play frame for the party

1:01:51 animals and Drew GILLESPIE WITH A SECOND

1:01:55 CONSECUTIVE SUB2MINUTE INNING. 1 minute

1:01:58 52 seconds for the righty. I said it at

1:02:02 the top of the show. He may give you

1:02:03 three solid innings. I'd now be

1:02:06 surprised if they don't send him right

1:02:07 back out there.

1:02:12 [cheering]

1:02:19 and YouTube. It's just us. Hey,

1:02:22 >> you guys excited for our Hey baby today

1:02:23 or what?

1:02:24 >> I'm thrilled. Let's let the party

1:02:26 starters dance though. These guys rock.

1:02:29 >> I do like them. That guy was bam. He was

1:02:32 in Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

1:02:34 >> Are you serious?

1:02:35 >> You didn't know that?

1:02:35 >> Are you serious, Clark?

1:02:36 >> Absolutely.

1:02:38 >> You serious, Clark? [laughter]

1:02:41 >> Come on. I'm getting something real

1:02:43 nice.

1:02:46 >> Is that Is that That's not new news to

1:02:47 you, is it?

1:02:48 >> Yes.

1:02:49 >> That's brand new.

1:02:50 >> Well, it's a He's a brand new party

1:02:51 starter.

1:02:52 >> No, he's not. Fam was here last year.

1:02:54 >> Oh, yeah. That's right. He's the only

1:02:56 party starter.

1:02:57 >> Sorry you guys. [laughter] Sorry you

1:03:00 guys. Sorry. You played the firefighters

1:03:04 every single game of 2025.

1:03:07 >> That's not my fault.

1:03:08 >> Yeah. Yeah. Bam.

1:03:09 >> There he is, man. Guardians of the

1:03:11 Galaxy.

1:03:11 >> Yeah, there he is. Ban's the only

1:03:12 returning party starter. I'm sorry about

1:03:14 that. Bam. Legend.

1:03:18 >> Like he could have been a moonlighting

1:03:20 as a member of the blue man group, too.

1:03:24 Tobias Harris. I just blew myself.

1:03:30 And now we watch [music] Chase Auff and

1:03:32 company wait for us to get back from our

1:03:34 CW commercial.

1:03:38 We'll be back soon, guys.

1:03:41 Just hang tight.

1:03:44 You don't exist. For the folks on the

1:03:46 CW,

1:03:47 we're watching a commercial for like

1:03:49 Zoloft or something.

1:04:05 We go to the bottom of the third inning.

1:04:08 Connor Harris back out on the mound.

1:04:09 Chase Aka

1:04:11 first pitch he sees this afternoon. The

1:04:13 126 curveball for strike one.

1:04:18 This is 78 and nine in the party animals

1:04:21 order due to swing it. They have walked

1:04:23 off the first and second innings.

1:04:26 TJ Reeves and Ashton Landell the authors

1:04:35 as Auff ahead 2-1 in the count two for

1:04:37 six on the weekend. A ball for sprint

1:04:38 and a run driven in.

1:04:40 >> You said it Josh herky jerky for Connor

1:04:42 Harris. The different style of delivery.

1:04:48 >> And you're just seeing the mechanics

1:04:49 kind of all over the place right now for

1:04:51 Conor Harris. who's recently gone back

1:04:53 to the [music] windup looking for more

1:04:55 control on that pitcher mound, but that

1:04:57 has certainly not been the case already.

1:04:59 Two sprints for Harris today. Chance for

1:05:02 Ryan Cox. He feels it between the legs.

1:05:04 360. ALEX ZIGGLER BETWEEN the legs. The

1:05:07 Keystone State connection. Cox to Ziggy

1:05:10 for a double trick play.

1:05:11 >> And all of a sudden, that trick play

1:05:13 count is right back within striking

1:05:15 distance for the Savannah Bananas. 5-2.

1:05:18 The Animals still lead, but the Bananas

1:05:20 can continue to close that gap in this

1:05:22 inning.

1:05:23 >> And you see the effect of the designated

1:05:25 fielder as well. Alex Ziggler inserted

1:05:27 at first base. He can play at any

1:05:30 position on any particular inning. So,

1:05:33 they opt to use him at first base much

1:05:35 like they have all season. And you see

1:05:37 him and Coxy teaming up to get two

1:05:39 there. Tanner Thomas is the hottest man

1:05:41 on the face [music] of the earth.

1:05:43 >> And he's great at banana ball.

1:05:45 >> Now, two for five on the weekend. had

1:05:48 that moonshot all the way into the chop

1:05:50 house. Two-run blast to walk off the

1:05:53 seventh inning.

1:05:55 Wrapped victory in the frame from the

1:05:57 claws of defeat with the Animals down to

1:05:59 their final strike. Really made it a

1:06:01 fascinating ball game that the Bananas

1:06:03 held on to win to even up the series.

1:06:06 And now Bryson Bloomer, who went one for

1:06:09 three with a double and a big run scored

1:06:11 in the eighth inning on Friday night.

1:06:13 Did not see the field last night.

1:06:18 the veteran

1:06:19 here in his fourth world tour. Behind

1:06:22 the back attempt, Olsen moves it. Can't

1:06:24 grab the ball, but Ty Jackson there to

1:06:26 clean it up. So, it will not be a trick

1:06:29 play missed. It's just your oldfashioned

1:06:31 496 fielder's choice.

1:06:33 >> And for anything that shallow in the

1:06:35 outfield, it's almost a guarantee for

1:06:37 the Bananas. You go for the trick play.

1:06:40 If you poof it, odds are you throw a man

1:06:42 out at second base. Exactly what

1:06:44 happened here.

1:06:48 taking off and stealing second is the

1:06:51 Boomer.

1:06:53 >> His second steal in as many tries this

1:06:54 year. The defending stolen base champ,

1:06:56 >> right?

1:06:57 >> 29 swiped bags in only 32 tries last

1:07:00 year.

1:07:00 >> We've seen a down tick from him in 2026.

1:07:03 >> That's a smart stolen base because if

1:07:05 Harris can't fire strikes here to Noah

1:07:08 Fischer, a ball force sprint's going to

1:07:10 lead to another walk up and another

1:07:12 point for the party animals. Great job

1:07:14 by Bloomer to get in scoring position.

1:07:16 >> Now [music] Fish has been in a bit of a

1:07:18 slump here, so that makes it even

1:07:20 tougher to carry a patient approach to

1:07:22 the plate. Something to monitor with two

1:07:24 down. But I'll tell you what, we got his

1:07:26 first walk-off of the year last night on

1:07:29 an RBI ball for Sprint.

1:07:34 >> And this is where in a two- two count

1:07:35 when you're Connor Harris, you really

1:07:38 want action on this pitch. You don't

1:07:39 want to go to a [music] three ball

1:07:40 count.

1:07:43 Fouled straight back. We'll do it again.

1:07:46 >> Fischer's not going to make it easy on

1:07:48 him.

1:07:54 >> Party animals looking for three inning

1:07:56 wins in as many tries.

1:08:01 And a lot of things make this next pitch

1:08:02 huge, but here's one. Noah Fischer two

1:08:05 ball four sprints, 12 strikeouts in his

1:08:08 42 plate appearances this season.

1:08:13 An action pitch 3-2

1:08:16 lofted out to right. Ty Jackson coming

1:08:19 in.

1:08:21 >> We'll catch it the oldfashioned way as

1:08:22 Connor Harris puts up a zero and keeps

1:08:25 the deficit at just two for the Nanners.

1:08:29 >> What is my grandpa doing on the field?

1:08:33 >> We should check that out.

1:08:34 >> All right. I dare say that Banana Ball

1:08:37 has the strongest fans in the world. And

1:08:40 we are going to put that to the test

1:08:42 right here today in the great city of

1:08:44 Atlanta with a good oldfashioned

1:08:46 BODYBUILDING CONTEST WHERE YOU HAVE TO

1:08:49 decide who the winner is. Let's go ahead

1:08:51 and meet our contestants. First, right

1:08:54 over here, what is your name, my man?

1:08:55 >> Lane.

1:08:56 >> Lane, how old are you, buddy?

1:08:58 >> 28.

1:08:59 >> 28-year-old Lane. Let's see your best

1:09:01 pose. Here we go.

1:09:04 Oh, he's been working out.

1:09:08 >> Strong uh aligned with the right team.

1:09:11 Looking like a true party animal. That's

1:09:12 Lane. Our next contestant. What's your

1:09:15 name, my man?

1:09:16 >> Bruce.

1:09:16 >> Bruce, how old are you, buddy?

1:09:17 >> 42.

1:09:18 >> You're looking pretty good at 42. LET'S

1:09:20 SHOW WHAT A LITTLE experience can do.

1:09:23 Oh, there's that tricep. Look at that

1:09:24 side chest. My man has watched a little

1:09:27 pumping iron in his day. Got the calf

1:09:30 all engaged right here. And then um sir

1:09:37 um what is your name?

1:09:39 >> Mike.

1:09:40 >> Hi Mike. Uh how old how old are you

1:09:42 Mike?

1:09:43 >> Uh about 67.

1:09:46 >> Was not expecting that. 67 years years

1:09:49 old. Okay. Um go ahead Mike.

1:09:55 >> Oh there it is.

1:10:02 Oh. [screaming] All right, [cheering]

1:10:06 f. It's time for you to decide. Was our

1:10:10 winner late?

1:10:12 Was it Bruce? Or was IT MR. 67 HIMSELF,

1:10:17 MIKE?

1:10:20 [cheering] Give it up for [screaming]

1:10:23 Ethica Community College, class of 82.

1:10:26 Grandpa Mike, what a legend on the

1:10:28 field. And that's your grandfather.

1:10:30 >> Yeah, grandpa Mike. Mike.

1:10:34 >> Where' they find that guy?

1:10:35 >> He's He's not much for words, but his

1:10:37 physique is incredible. I

1:10:38 >> think he was wearing my go-to belt in

1:10:40 high school.

1:10:42 I remember that thing.

1:10:44 >> Tell you what, man. In the community

1:10:46 college, the Wampest cats. [laughter]

1:10:48 >> They really produce them.

1:10:52 >> The wampest cats. I wish [laughter]

1:10:58 that's up in my neck of the woods. 200

1:11:00 on Robert Anthony Cruz. Two, three, and

1:11:02 four in the order for the bananas as

1:11:04 this one on a hop. Chase Aka between the

1:11:06 legs over to Swan. Another trick play

1:11:08 for the Party Animals. Drew Gillespie

1:11:10 has retired 10 straight.

1:11:11 >> Let's go behind the scenes. Bo, you and

1:11:13 I just talked in the break.

1:11:15 >> The Party Animals might let Gillespie,

1:11:17 who is a closer by trade, go as far as

1:11:19 he wants to in this game if he continues

1:11:21 to look this consistent.

1:11:23 30 pitches. Oh,

1:11:28 and Dan Ober finds the six hole.

1:11:32 As he's one to do, he had the sack fly

1:11:35 in the first inning. Now one for one on

1:11:36 the game. And you see with Dan Ober, a

1:11:38 lot of these bananas, just like Dan did

1:11:40 right there, they have swung at the

1:11:42 first pitch from Drew Gillespie. Five of

1:11:44 the first 13 batters have only seen one

1:11:46 pitch in a plate appearance against

1:11:48 Drew, who is now up to 30 innings all

1:11:52 time thrown in less [music] than two

1:11:54 minutes in his career with the two he's

1:11:56 got today. That puts him second all

1:11:59 time. Reese selects [music]

1:12:01 skying this one to shallow center.

1:12:04 Camped in tip drill. Bobo saves the day

1:12:09 and secures the trick play for Reese

1:12:11 Lightning.

1:12:15 John Howard Bobo said it earlier,

1:12:17 entertainment player. He was brought

1:12:19 here to keep the crowd engaged. And it

1:12:21 just so happens he's an A+ outfielder.

1:12:24 Full extension. Saves that trick play

1:12:26 for the party animals. The rookie looks

1:12:29 great with a glove.

1:12:31 >> Third trick play across the last two

1:12:33 innings for Hampton as KJ hacks at the

1:12:36 first pitch. And this is Drew Gillespie

1:12:38 at his best. He's going to force you

1:12:40 into this because he pounds the zone.

1:12:44 He's got a five pitch arsenal. You fall

1:12:46 behind, he'll throw any pitch in any

1:12:47 count. You don't want to end up in that

1:12:48 hole.

1:12:49 >> Loves to pitch to contact and that's

1:12:51 great for this sport. Contact equals

1:12:53 trick plays. Strikeouts can be lengthy

1:12:55 and you lack trick plays there.

1:12:59 >> Great take on the off speed by KJ, who

1:13:02 is one of Gillespiey's three strikeout

1:13:04 victims this afternoon.

1:13:08 And that was only the sixth punch out

1:13:10 for Kyle Jackson on the year. Evening up

1:13:12 with his six ball for sprints earned.

1:13:15 Great play Andy Cosgrove. Get another

1:13:17 look. Keep an ost.

1:13:36 This is the first pinch of stress

1:13:39 Gillespie has felt since the first

1:13:41 inning.

1:13:41 >> This is what's rare to see. Three ball

1:13:43 counts from Gillespie. Just a 5.2%

1:13:46 sprint rate this season. And once again,

1:13:49 it's high heat against Kyle Jackson. And

1:13:52 more swing and miss stuff from Drew

1:13:54 Gillespie. Another shut out frame for

1:13:57 the right-hander. Still two animals. The

1:14:00 bad man is back.

1:14:06 sweet

1:14:08 to get up out of your seats on your feet

1:14:13 because it's time for Hey, baby.

1:14:18 So, let's get those hands up and let's

1:14:20 get them clapping.

1:14:31 >> Here we go.

1:14:32 >> We got him on the tube here.

1:14:34 We're two below. We're babying.

1:14:38 >> Yeah. I wanted to know. I don't these

1:14:41 tonight's pants do not have a hole in

1:14:43 them, so it's a little less fun.

1:14:46 >> Yeah. I'm sorry about that everybody,

1:14:48 but welcome inside.

1:14:54 >> What do you want to know? Huh? What do

1:14:56 you want to know?

1:14:56 >> You be my girl.

1:15:00 Yeah.

1:15:01 >> Yeah.

1:15:02 >> That was kind of hurt my shoulder right

1:15:04 there. I'm going shoot you straight.

1:15:06 >> Looking at the sweat's a hot one in

1:15:08 Atlanta today.

1:15:08 >> Now, why can't babies see the Hey baby

1:15:10 on national television?

1:15:12 >> I think copyright babies.

1:15:16 >> Hey,

1:15:18 [laughter]

1:15:19 baby.

1:15:20 [screaming] Yeah. I want to know.

1:15:24 [laughter]

1:15:26 Ow. [cheering]

1:15:28 All

1:15:29 right. Can you pull something?

1:15:30 >> I actually got it good.

1:15:33 >> A scratch.

1:15:37 >> Saturday, the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts

1:15:40 Series takes on the Monster Mile at

1:15:42 Dober, where concrete, speed, and

1:15:45 courage collide, and only the boldest

1:15:48 drivers can [music] try and tame it. Who

1:15:50 will conquer Dober and make their mark

1:15:52 in the championship fight? Don't miss a

1:15:55 second of Pure Raw Racing from Dover.

1:15:58 Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern, 12:30

1:16:02 p.m. Pacific, only on the CW.

1:16:06 Happy Mother's Day to all. Plenty of

1:16:08 those in the max capacity crowd here at

1:16:11 Truis Park, home of the Atlanta Braves.

1:16:13 And Tristan Lec out for the second time

1:16:16 this weekend. Yeah, we saw him pitch

1:16:18 last night through just five pitches

1:16:21 before recording the loan out on his

1:16:23 evening. Le working very quick,

1:16:26 averaging three outs in less than four

1:16:27 minutes, but he's allowed multiple hits

1:16:30 in three of his last four outings for

1:16:33 the Savannah Bananas. So trying to keep

1:16:36 less guys off these base paths today.

1:16:39 It's back-to-back boys out of the

1:16:41 Constitution State. LC from Niantic,

1:16:44 Connecticut taking over for the Avon

1:16:46 kit.

1:16:47 And top of the order, Andy Cosgrove puts

1:16:50 a charge into this.

1:16:52 Not enough though. Alexiotis on the run,

1:16:55 tipping it to himself for the trick

1:16:57 play. And out number one in the last of

1:16:59 the fourth. Nice running play from Reese

1:17:02 Alexi. And he still has the [music]

1:17:04 wherewithal to initiate that tip drill

1:17:07 up to himself. It gets a little tricky

1:17:09 having Robert Anthony Cruz near him as

1:17:12 he's attacking that ball on the run.

1:17:14 Nonetheless, you see the thumbs up, the

1:17:16 appreciation from Tristan Lebec trying

1:17:18 to keep the bananas in this trick play

1:17:20 race.

1:17:22 Le spent his entire college career at

1:17:25 the University of Rhode Island. Turned

1:17:28 into a fantastic starting pitcher

1:17:32 for the Rams.

1:17:35 He's a problem in the A10

1:17:38 as it's a 1-1 count on Reese Hampton.

1:17:41 Soft contact, shallow left. Cox

1:17:43 backpedaling. Cox bare hand. Backto-back

1:17:46 trick plays for the Nanners.

1:17:49 Well, you see just how easier things get

1:17:52 when you're able to induce soft contact

1:17:54 and start to collect these outs. LeB

1:17:57 able to jam Reese Hampton, get him to

1:17:59 pop that one up into shallow left

1:18:01 center. And that one, no problem for

1:18:03 Ryan Cox, Banana Ball's all-time trick

1:18:05 play leader.

1:18:09 Now LC vers

1:18:13 got a miss. Power on power,

1:18:15 >> but he has have a shift on as well.

1:18:18 Three guys on the right side of the

1:18:20 infield.

1:18:25 >> Skull drove in the inning. Tying run in

1:18:27 the first. Came around to score the

1:18:29 inning run from first on a TJ Reeves

1:18:32 double. Showing that he's got a little

1:18:34 turbo in him when necessary. Still

1:18:36 nursing that sore right hamstring.

1:18:41 No catch in the second deck on the foul

1:18:43 ball.

1:18:56 >> Did Skull go around? Appeal to third.

1:18:59 No. Third base umpire Chad Little.

1:19:02 >> The first person to point to Chad Little

1:19:05 was Jake Skull immediately.

1:19:07 >> I love that. He checked himself. He

1:19:09 says, "I know I didn't."

1:19:13 >> I yearn for the rare quadruple point

1:19:16 when the pitcher, hitter, catcher, and

1:19:17 umpire all appeal.

1:19:19 >> I think we only had Skull and Chapman on

1:19:21 that one. I could be wrong.

1:19:24 Payoff pitch

1:19:26 and Skull works his second sprint of the

1:19:28 afternoon. Le thought he had the outside

1:19:30 corner. Chapman disagreed. Skull looking

1:19:32 for two bases. HE'S CAUGHT HIM. GOOD

1:19:35 HUSTLE FROM THE FORMER FIRSTROUNDER.

1:19:39 >> 8:30 this morning. His hamstrings 80%.

1:19:43 3:49 and 53 seconds Eastern time. Skull

1:19:48 looks as deafer as ever.

1:19:53 It's his fifth ball sprint of the

1:19:55 series.

1:19:58 Caught him off guard, too. I think the

1:20:00 entire Bananas defense has gotten it.

1:20:03 Yeah, I I think they just assumed

1:20:05 >> Yeah, they're acclimated to him only

1:20:06 taking walking to first. He's been so

1:20:08 banged up

1:20:09 >> and that's what he did on the sprint he

1:20:10 earned in the first inning.

1:20:12 >> That's just a veteran gamer.

1:20:14 >> Yeah,

1:20:16 >> he played him.

1:20:17 >> Sneaky, sneaky.

1:20:18 >> Skull's now reached seven out of 11

1:20:20 played appearances this weekend. He's in

1:20:22 scoring position as TJ Reeves is behind

1:20:25 the ball in two strikes.

1:20:26 >> But right now, the Party Animals, they

1:20:27 could be utilizing [music] Mark Smith

1:20:29 over there at second base to run for

1:20:31 Jake Skull. They love what they're

1:20:33 seeing out of this [music] guy. They

1:20:34 trust him to try and score as Reeves is

1:20:37 three for nine with guys in scoring

1:20:38 position this year. But waves through

1:20:41 that heater from Tristan Lec. Another

1:20:44 shut out frame for the Bananas. Now

1:20:46 backto back innings where they've held

1:20:48 the animals off the board.

1:20:49 >> And the first strike out for the guys in

1:20:50 yellow all game.

1:20:53 >> Let's get it on down to Jolie Chabala to

1:20:55 honor our Bananas Foster family of the

1:20:58 game. Across the United States, there

1:21:00 are over 400,000 children and teens in

1:21:03 foster care without a permanent home.

1:21:06 Look around. That's enough to fill Trou

1:21:08 Park 10 times. To raise awareness and

1:21:12 support this community, we created

1:21:14 Bananas Foster, the official nonprofit

1:21:16 of Banana Ball. Our organization is

1:21:19 dedicated to celebrating the foster care

1:21:21 community while educating and inspiring

1:21:23 others to get involved. Today we are

1:21:26 celebrating the Espino family. Kelly and

1:21:29 Louise were inspired to provide a safe

1:21:32 and loving home to children and teens

1:21:35 experiencing foster care. They became

1:21:37 licensed 10 years ago, have welcomed 14

1:21:41 children and teens into their home, and

1:21:43 are currently parenting seven kiddos.

1:21:48 fans, please welcome to the field the

1:21:51 Espeno family for making a difference

1:21:53 right here in your community.

1:22:26 Well, this is what Banana Ball Fans

1:22:29 First Entertainment is all about.

1:22:31 Honoring the superheroes in the foster

1:22:33 care community. Today we get to shine a

1:22:36 light [cheering] on Kelly and Luis

1:22:38 Espino. Absolute rock stars and just

1:22:42 putting such a positive impact on all

1:22:45 these kids' lives. It is what it's truly

1:22:47 all about.

1:22:51 >> And guess what? The bad bad man from

1:22:53 Albuquerque, the closer who started

1:22:56 today for the first time since 2023,

1:22:59 will come back onto the mound in the

1:23:01 fifth [music] inning. As incredible as

1:23:03 he's been, take this into account,

1:23:05 namely if he gets through this inning.

1:23:07 He entered the game having pitched 10

1:23:09 and a third innings all year long. He's

1:23:11 about to log his fifth today. That just

1:23:14 doesn't happen.

1:23:16 >> I got to be honest, I love Drew

1:23:19 Gillespie starter.

1:23:20 >> Oh no. Oh no.

1:23:22 >> There's a lot more three-game weekends

1:23:24 coming up for the party animals. You

1:23:26 need somebody behind Delo and Hton.

1:23:28 >> They figured it out.

1:23:29 >> Not yet. Well, I mean, in spring

1:23:31 training, it wasn't like Mike Bases was

1:23:33 completely ruling it out. There were

1:23:35 kind of whispers that it was possible

1:23:36 this scenario was going to happen for

1:23:39 the guys in black and pink. And for all

1:23:41 the struggles that have happened for

1:23:43 Drew Gillespie for a lot of this 2026

1:23:46 season, the success has come against

1:23:48 this Savannah Banana squad. They've only

1:23:50 got three hits against him this season.

1:23:52 That includes today. And

1:23:54 >> it looks like the Bananas are down on

1:23:56 the field set up for a special moment.

1:23:58 Ladies and gentlemen, now coming to bat

1:24:02 for the Savannah Bananas. He is the 2020

1:24:05 ACM male artist of the year. In 2025, he

1:24:10 won three CMA awards for music video of

1:24:13 the year, single of the year, and song

1:24:16 OF THE YEAR. ATLANTA, GEORGIA. PLEASE

1:24:19 WELCOME RILEY GREEN. [screaming]

1:24:40 Never knew my old man's truck could even

1:24:43 run like that.

1:24:47 Should know better than a turb

1:24:51 so bad.

1:24:54 Daddy pulled up. I was down in the ditch

1:24:57 and he asked me why I did what I did.

1:25:01 There was this girl drinking her hand.

1:25:04 She me get into trouble.

1:25:08 I ain't never seen something so fine. I

1:25:12 was doing anything to make her mind. I

1:25:15 was out of my mind. She was out of this

1:25:18 world. There was this girl.

1:25:23 Yeah, there was this girl.

1:25:30 Yeah, there was this girl.

1:25:42 >> Atlanta.

1:25:44 As incredible as that performance was,

1:25:47 you heard the YOUNG PROFESSOR. HE'S

1:25:49 ABOUT TO TAKE AN AT BAT AGAINST DREW

1:25:51 GILLESPIE.

1:25:56 >> Riley Green pinch hits for Ryan Cox

1:26:00 only in Banana Ball.

1:26:02 >> Wow. I I asked Drew pregame as Riley's

1:26:05 team was rehearsing. I said, "Hey man,

1:26:08 if you face Riley Green, take it easy on

1:26:10 him." And Drew's reaction was, "Oh no, I

1:26:13 love Riley Green.

1:26:15 [laughter]

1:26:20 Jacksonville, Alabama's finest.

1:26:27 [music]

1:26:27 And he begins his Banana Ball career

1:26:30 today.

1:26:31 [music]

1:26:33 Bananas trail two nothing, looking for a

1:26:35 spark. Can Riley Green provide it?

1:26:38 That's a fast ball for a strike.

1:26:40 >> He takes BP in every city that he goes

1:26:42 to. Loves to post those videos.

1:26:46 Good swing through another heater. Riley

1:26:48 Green steps out of the box. Vincent

1:26:50 Chapman is going to pretend he didn't

1:26:51 see it.

1:26:57 >> Back up the middle. Riley Green backhand

1:27:00 by Mike Ballard. No play. It's a single

1:27:03 [cheering]

1:27:03 for the country music superstar.

1:27:06 Are you kidding me?

1:27:09 >> The Bananas can't hit Drew Gillespie

1:27:11 today, but Riley Green sure can.

1:27:15 That's just bonkers. Down 02. YOU SEE

1:27:18 GREEN SHORTEN UP THE SWING JUST A LITTLE

1:27:20 BIT AND DRIBBLE THIS ONE up the middle.

1:27:23 Ballard tried to go behind the back with

1:27:26 the transition and then just thought

1:27:28 better of it. What a MOMENT FOR RILEY

1:27:31 GREEN HERE IN TRUEST PARK. Let him run.

1:27:34 I say let him run. [cheering]

1:27:37 I completely agree.

1:27:40 Man earned himself those 90 ft. See if

1:27:43 he can get some more. They're going to

1:27:45 let him run.

1:27:47 >> Oh, Adam Vroy at first base. Does he

1:27:50 want to put in Danny Osley?

1:27:55 >> I don't think they're going to let him

1:27:56 run.

1:27:56 >> A lot of deliberation.

1:27:59 >> Riley was in the middle of it, too.

1:28:01 >> I I would guess Riley Green was fighting

1:28:03 for his life on the base pads right

1:28:05 there.

1:28:06 >> Oh my goodness.

1:28:07 >> Did not win the war of words with Adam

1:28:09 Byron.

1:28:11 And this one back UP THE SHOOT. DIVING

1:28:13 PLAY. A TO SECOND FOR ONE. BALLARD OVER

1:28:16 to first. Not in time, but Akuff takes a

1:28:19 hit away from Ty Jackson. Slap a star on

1:28:21 that in your scorebook at home.

1:28:26 >> Well, we've talked so much about the

1:28:27 trick plays from the party animals

1:28:29 today, but Chase Aub has some of the

1:28:31 best range out of all the short stops in

1:28:34 Banana Ball. And a rather impressive

1:28:36 arm, too. doesn't get to flash it there,

1:28:38 but a great feed to Mike Ballard at

1:28:41 second base to get a big lead out as now

1:28:44 Bryce Graappi hacks this one out of play

1:28:47 behind home plate and the fans unable to

1:28:51 record an out.

1:28:53 >> Boss man in the floor will had it.

1:28:55 Basket catch last second pops out.

1:28:59 >> And souvenir city for those youngsters.

1:29:02 Gafi struck out swinging his first time.

1:29:04 took his batting average in his banana

1:29:06 ball career from 1,00 to 500.

1:29:10 >> OBP still pretty good.

1:29:12 >> It went from 1,00 to 500.

1:29:15 [laughter]

1:29:17 >> There goes Tai and no. Oh, foul ball.

1:29:20 Zappy did not swing, but the pitch got a

1:29:23 piece of the bat.

1:29:26 >> Pretty rare you see that. Another look.

1:29:28 Oh, yeah. He checked it.

1:29:30 >> Yeah.

1:29:30 >> I don't know if he went all the way

1:29:31 around, but he definitely got a piece of

1:29:33 it. No doubt

1:29:46 02

1:29:49 and Gafi with a one-two count on. What a

1:29:52 picturesque day this has become by the

1:29:54 way. 84° the sun out and about in

1:29:57 Atlanta. Perfect afternoon for spring

1:29:59 banana ball.

1:30:02 Grizz out to right. Big bow BEHIND THE

1:30:06 BACK. YOU BET FOR OUT NUMBER TWO.

1:30:09 [cheering]

1:30:10 He had no trick plays entering this

1:30:12 contest and serving as the designated

1:30:14 fielder in right field. He now has three

1:30:17 for the PARTY ANIMALS. WHAT AN AFTERNOON

1:30:20 SO FAR FOR JOHN HOWARD BOBO. He has

1:30:23 forced himself into the field. You you

1:30:25 can't play a game without him in the

1:30:26 outfield right now.

1:30:29 >> Jackson Olsson right back up to shoot.

1:30:31 has his second hit of the weekend.

1:30:33 >> Yeah, needed it, too. Really good to see

1:30:35 Jackie seeing the ball well again.

1:30:41 >> And the Bananas have a runner in scoring

1:30:43 position for the first time since the

1:30:44 fourth inning. Great speed and tie

1:30:48 two fly.

1:30:50 Olson off first

1:30:53 and Max Young Goldberg.

1:30:57 See as well Gillespie just now

1:30:59 approaching that 50 pitch mark through

1:31:01 four and two/3 innings.

1:31:03 There's a world where he comes out for

1:31:05 the sixth if he gets out of this jam.

1:31:09 >> Yanked foul ball in a strike on MJG.

1:31:12 >> Especially if the party animals can

1:31:14 reward him with a point by scoring in

1:31:17 the bottom of the fifth.

1:31:21 >> The proud of Palo Alto, California. a

1:31:23 young Goldberg, the Banana second round

1:31:25 draft pick with two ducks on the pond

1:31:29 trying to come through in the clutch.

1:31:32 Slow roller foul ball the ball in two

1:31:35 strikes and you're seeing the ways in

1:31:36 which he is working on his adjustments

1:31:38 at the plate. Tyler Gillum and Adam

1:31:40 Byron have been working on him staying

1:31:42 in front of balls rather than trying to

1:31:44 see them so deep. And these last two

1:31:47 pitches that Young Goldberg seen from

1:31:49 Gillespie out in front of them just a

1:31:51 little too much. It's a front door fast

1:31:54 ball to strike Young Goldberg out

1:31:55 looking his first time. Gillespie goes

1:31:58 to the heat but misses high.

1:32:04 Deuce is wild here in the away half of

1:32:07 the fifth inning.

1:32:09 Bananas looking for a jolt.

1:32:13 >> Count runs full.

1:32:16 >> Has to have it.

1:32:17 >> Yeah. Couldn't locate the change up.

1:32:20 What [music] does he go to on the

1:32:21 payoff? Fast ball. Runners will be off

1:32:23 on the pitch. You're right. And Young

1:32:26 Goldberg was ready for it. Out to right

1:32:28 center field. Ty Jackson scores. Olsson

1:32:32 getting the wave around. RELAY FROM

1:32:34 BALLARD. NOT IN TIME.

1:32:37 Two-run single for MJG. What a weekend

1:32:40 for the rookie. It has been a killer

1:32:43 weekend for Max Young Goldberg. Had a

1:32:46 run batted in last night. now comes away

1:32:49 with two here in the fifth inning for

1:32:51 the Bananas. The first time they've

1:32:53 scored multiple runs in an inning today.

1:32:56 And that is crucial to them if they want

1:32:58 to try and secure their first point of

1:33:00 the ball game.

1:33:03 And that was played really well by Bobo

1:33:05 out in right center. Olsen off on the

1:33:07 pitch showing off the wheels as Meadows

1:33:10 bounces that misplayed by Bloomer right

1:33:12 under the glove.

1:33:15 Third error of the year for Bryson

1:33:17 Bloomer. And the inning is prolonged.

1:33:23 >> Just thought he was getting more of a

1:33:24 bounce. Pulled the glove up.

1:33:29 And if you're Gillespie,

1:33:33 >> after you allowed a trio of hits already

1:33:35 in this inning,

1:33:38 >> it's on you to work back from that

1:33:40 error.

1:33:40 >> Yeah, that was the first defensive

1:33:42 miscue by the party animals this

1:33:43 afternoon. and they had been surehanded

1:33:46 behind their usual closer

1:33:52 here in his third career start. He'd

1:33:54 only given up one run across 15 and a

1:33:56 third innings in the previous two

1:34:00 and he has seated three so far trying to

1:34:03 limit the damage to just that as it's a

1:34:06 ball in a strike on rack

1:34:10 and a little Baltimore hopper double

1:34:12 over the head of Jason Swan down the

1:34:14 right field line

1:34:17 helped lead to the banana scoring one

1:34:19 run in the first. The party animals

1:34:22 responded in kind with two of their own

1:34:24 to win the inning and claimed the point.

1:34:26 And now time is called

1:34:28 andy Cosg Gro I think wants Casey

1:34:31 Carlson, the party animals athletic

1:34:33 trainer to come out and check on

1:34:34 Gillespie.

1:34:35 >> Wow.

1:34:36 >> Hey, Gillespie did not call time here.

1:34:38 It was Cosgrove.

1:34:40 >> There's no mound visits in Banana Ball.

1:34:41 So, it has to be the trainer coming out.

1:34:43 And there goes Casey.

1:34:44 >> Yep. Now, this is an opportunity for

1:34:49 Mike Bvesus in case of an injury to

1:34:52 check on Gillespie, but this cannot be

1:34:55 utilized as a as a as an official mound

1:34:58 visit.

1:35:00 >> You see, Gillespie is emotional. He's

1:35:02 clearly upset with Andy Cosgrove. Andy

1:35:04 saw something just

1:35:07 making sure that his battery mate isn't

1:35:09 pitching through an injury.

1:35:12 >> And there it is.

1:35:14 >> Great replay.

1:35:17 You completely understand why Cosby

1:35:19 said, "We got to check on him."

1:35:20 >> Yeah. I mean, the guy is yelling out

1:35:22 loud coming off of the pitcher mound.

1:35:25 >> And now we'll see how Gillespie feels

1:35:27 delivering this one. That will mishide

1:35:29 to Cruz. Remember, Gillespie missed some

1:35:32 time in 2024 with injury late in that

1:35:34 season.

1:35:39 >> Right back to the heat to get back in

1:35:40 the count.

1:35:41 >> Been bitten by the lower body bug a

1:35:43 couple of times.

1:35:46 But last the last two pitches have

1:35:48 looked really good and less screaming

1:35:50 from 28.

1:35:56 >> This is another massive two- two pitch

1:35:58 with two runners aboard. Two runs

1:36:00 already home

1:36:02 and Rack bounces it to Swan. Foul this

1:36:05 time

1:36:06 >> and the parking almost duck out.

1:36:10 >> I KNEW THAT WAS COMING. SO THAT WAS

1:36:13 >> SWANI WANTED to play that one out.

1:36:15 >> It was fair earlier.

1:36:17 >> That's great.

1:36:18 >> Nearly. Nearly is the key word. A carbon

1:36:21 copy of the rack double in the first.

1:36:23 >> Oh my

1:36:27 swing and a miss. BEAUTIFUL BENDER from

1:36:29 Gillespie.

1:36:31 Drew Gillespie. This is the last inning

1:36:33 we'll see him today. BUT HOW GOOD WAS

1:36:35 THE CLOSER IN A STARTING role here in

1:36:38 Atlanta?

1:36:53 All you needed to start Riley was get

1:36:55 Riley Green at the plate. What was it

1:36:56 like? You've been in a lot of

1:36:57 environments. What's banana ball been

1:36:59 like for you?

1:36:59 >> Well, this is awesome, man. I mean, it's

1:37:01 different than any baseball game I've

1:37:02 ever been to. And the the atmosphere is

1:37:04 awesome. It was just it was exciting.

1:37:06 I'm glad I could put a bat on the ball.

1:37:07 Hey, you put a bat on the ball, got a

1:37:09 single at Truest Park. Was that ever on

1:37:10 the bucket list for you?

1:37:11 >> It wasn't, but I got I'm batting a

1:37:13 thousand in here now.

1:37:14 >> It's a good way to walk off. Riley,

1:37:15 thank you for being a part of it, my

1:37:16 friend. Guys, back up to you.

1:37:19 >> Thank you very much, Rex. Great to hear

1:37:21 from Riley Breen. He's batting a

1:37:24 thousand in his banana ball career as

1:37:26 you get another look at the knock.

1:37:28 >> And right behind him swinging, Bill Loy

1:37:30 was playing his guitar.

1:37:32 And to fill in for our friends here on

1:37:34 the [cheering]

1:37:35 YouTube world, when I heard Riley Green

1:37:38 was playing with us, I thought Detroit

1:37:40 Tigers outfielder. It's like, what the

1:37:41 heck's that guy doing? He's a

1:37:43 back-to-back allar.

1:37:44 >> That feels like a conflict of interest

1:37:46 here.

1:37:46 >> He hit 36 homers last year. I didn't

1:37:48 think his banana ball career would start

1:37:50 in 2026.

1:37:51 >> Then Bo said, "Country music."

1:37:55 >> I haven't heard any country since Willie

1:37:57 Nelson.

1:37:58 >> Tyler Childers.

1:37:59 >> Ah, Childers. Yeah. You know he's What

1:38:01 even is

1:38:03 he knows?

1:38:06 >> Country folk rock.

1:38:08 >> Down under is forever and a day.

1:38:12 >> I've been saying that since we got to

1:38:14 see him in Queens, New York that [music]

1:38:17 last September.

1:38:18 >> That tennis court.

1:38:20 >> Yeah.

1:38:24 A tremendous concert for anybody who's

1:38:27 wondering, should I see Tyler Childers

1:38:29 live? Yes, you should.

1:38:30 >> Yep. Especially if it's paid for.

1:38:32 >> Oh yeah, and the Ubers.

1:38:42 >> Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

1:38:45 CW from Truis Park in Atlanta.

1:38:48 It is our third straight game here in

1:38:51 the home of the Atlanta Braves. Party

1:38:53 animals won Friday night. The Bananas

1:38:55 won Saturday night. This is our rubber

1:38:57 match. Animals are up two-nil. But the

1:38:59 bananas

1:39:01 couple runs here in the top of the

1:39:03 fifth. Tristan Lec trying to turn them

1:39:05 into a point. Remember in banana ball,

1:39:06 every inning is worth a point until the

1:39:09 final frame where every run scored

1:39:11 counts as a point.

1:39:12 >> Saw a few of those Tiges playing ball

1:39:14 outside pregame.

1:39:16 It's Jason Swan gives the fans a chance.

1:39:21 >> No catch. Swan, Ballard, and Aka. Three

1:39:25 straight Fidians due to swing it here in

1:39:27 the home half of the fifth.

1:39:28 >> And for our second year in Atlanta, I

1:39:30 mean, this this crowd knows Banana Ball.

1:39:33 They're really starting to get the hang

1:39:34 of it. And they have been such a treat

1:39:37 to be around for these three days. First

1:39:39 time either team has played a series,

1:39:42 threeame series that is in a Major

1:39:44 League Baseball stadium. [music]

1:39:45 >> Yeah, such a historic special weekend we

1:39:48 are having here. Can't thank the Atlanta

1:39:50 Braves enough for letting us do it in

1:39:52 their wonderful ballpark as Swany

1:39:54 whistles this right back up the middle.

1:39:56 ALEXIOTIS DENIES HIM THE right to the

1:39:59 base pads.

1:40:01 Super Reese, what a play. He has been

1:40:03 all over the diamond today for the

1:40:06 Savannah Bananas. Had a great snag on

1:40:08 the run in the first inning. You saw the

1:40:10 trick play in the fourth and now a

1:40:13 tremendous diving catch here in center

1:40:15 field. Ron Swan of what would have been

1:40:18 his second knock today.

1:40:21 There's that big bender from Lebec to

1:40:23 jump ahead of Mike Ballard. [music]

1:40:26 Tristan about 87 to 89 with the fast

1:40:28 ball. He will graze 90 at times, but he

1:40:31 lives on control. A change up curveball

1:40:33 slider. He's just a typical crafty

1:40:36 southpaw.

1:40:37 >> And facing Ballard who's entering this

1:40:38 game for Ashton Landell into that

1:40:40 sixhole.

1:40:43 >> We've talked about it all weekend. It

1:40:45 always bears repeating. Mike Ballard has

1:40:47 been a superstar here in his rookie

1:40:49 campaign.

1:40:53 I mean, just never even thought of

1:40:54 swinging at that one two breaking ball.

1:40:58 Leading the party animals with his 17

1:41:00 runs driven in, hitting 346. OBP North

1:41:04 of 400 rolls this one over to third. KJ

1:41:07 between the legs. Ziggler behind the

1:41:09 back. Another double trick play for the

1:41:11 nanners and they come closer now within

1:41:14 two of the party animals hunting a third

1:41:16 straight equalizer point. They are

1:41:18 really starting to creep up on the party

1:41:20 animals. All of a sudden trick play or

1:41:22 two trick plays in each of the last

1:41:24 three innings for the Savannah Bananas.

1:41:27 And once again that designated fielder

1:41:29 Alex Ziggler at first base playing such

1:41:32 a pivotal role.

1:41:36 Ziggy his 31st trick play of the year.

1:41:39 KJ his 29th.

1:41:43 Phenomenal

1:41:44 baseball and banana ball fielders

1:41:47 manning the corner infield spots for the

1:41:49 Bananas as Auff swats this out to right

1:41:53 field. A beautiful piece of hitting to

1:41:56 reach with two down. He has done the

1:41:58 most damage this season against the

1:42:00 Savannah Bananas. 11 of his 23 hits have

1:42:04 come against the guys in yellow. And

1:42:06 that was just a beautiful piece of

1:42:08 opposite field hitting for Moff.

1:42:10 >> And all of a sudden, the hottest hitter

1:42:12 in Atlanta this weekend, Tanner Thomas

1:42:16 with one swing of the bat could tie the

1:42:18 inning. Had a late heroic home run last

1:42:21 night

1:42:23 >> on a pretty similar pitch to that. That

1:42:25 was called a ball by Vincent Chapman.

1:42:27 was a high fast ball from Frankie

1:42:28 Moscatello on a 3-2

1:42:31 as those are two goodlook fast balls. Le

1:42:34 doesn't get the call on either dangerous

1:42:36 20 pitch and he will check on Mark Smith

1:42:39 who has taken over for Chase A.

1:42:44 That one stroked but straight to Alexi

1:42:47 who takes care of Thomas and the Bananas

1:42:50 have their first point cutting the party

1:42:52 animals lead in half. Five innings in

1:42:54 the books. Animals still lead two to

1:42:56 one.

1:43:14 >> YouTube America

1:43:18 population you all

1:43:19 >> and us.

1:43:22 We all some would say

1:43:24 >> estoy YouTube

1:43:28 >> Jose

1:43:31 >> Jose's

1:43:32 down on his knees over there in the

1:43:36 >> Spanish booth.

1:43:39 >> We need a Jose cam. I I mean like those

1:43:43 little eagllets that you were watching

1:43:44 for so long. Those little birds.

1:43:47 >> Yeah.

1:43:47 >> Yeah. Pico loved those birds.

1:43:49 >> Big Ben National Park. I love those

1:43:51 Eagles.

1:43:52 >> The Eagles and their little children,

1:43:55 the baby eagles.

1:43:57 >> It's just those eagles are us and we are

1:43:59 those eagles, you know.

1:44:01 >> Adam Byrovra [screaming]

1:44:03 >> growing the hair out.

1:44:08 >> Okay.

1:44:10 >> He's got the chatter.

1:44:11 >> Can I see Jose?

1:44:12 >> OH MY GOODNESS.

1:44:13 >> I DID NOT.

1:44:15 >> HE HAS three chairs in that booth next

1:44:17 to him.

1:44:19 But he has three chances that he could

1:44:21 be.

1:44:22 >> Oh my goodness.

1:44:24 >> Hola, Jose.

1:44:26 For anybody who can understand Spanish,

1:44:28 I highly recommend,

1:44:29 >> as they say in Tijana, Ariad.

1:44:33 >> Yes, he is such a good broadcaster. He

1:44:36 is so darn good. Pros pro. We are

1:44:38 blessed to have him.

1:44:39 >> Sounds great.

1:44:41 >> And my roommate here in Atlanta.

1:44:43 >> I hate that cow.

1:44:46 [laughter]

1:44:51 It haunts me.

1:45:00 >> Banana ball on the CW is brought to you

1:45:10 We go to our sixth inning of action here

1:45:13 in Truis Park. Party Animals holding a

1:45:17 2-1 lead. Daltton Pants

1:45:21 first out of the pen for the Animals.

1:45:24 He's got the big boppers for the

1:45:25 Bananas. 34 and five. Dan Oburst, Reese

1:45:28 Selecti, Kyle Jackson due to swinging.

1:45:31 Nanners just claimed their first point

1:45:33 of the evening.

1:45:35 And Pon one pitch into his outing. Sha

1:45:39 boogie.

1:45:45 I tell you what, Aka, Hampton, and

1:45:48 Ballard are pretty in two.

1:45:59 >> Dolan Pon, what a dance. And welcome to

1:46:02 the broadcast,

1:46:03 >> guys. How are we?

1:46:05 >> Hey,

1:46:06 >> I'm a little tired. Hold on.

1:46:07 >> So gosh darn good. Catch your breath, my

1:46:09 friend. Here we go, guys. I've missed

1:46:12 you. It's been way too long.

1:46:13 >> Oh my god.

1:46:14 >> This really warms the heart. I've got

1:46:17 chills.

1:46:20 >> Full body chills, as Drake Tol would

1:46:22 say. [music]

1:46:22 >> Full body.

1:46:23 >> Nice.

1:46:24 >> Oh, that's good. That's good stuff.

1:46:29 >> Okay, Pony. Three-run pitch. Dan burst.

1:46:31 What's the plan?

1:46:32 >> There we go. Fast ball. Pound it right

1:46:35 here. Let him hit.

1:46:39 Nice. Oh,

1:46:39 >> he did hit it, but he found a hole.

1:46:41 >> Yeah, found a hole. That's all right.

1:46:43 >> Pon, what's the atmosphere of the dugout

1:46:45 right now after Drew Gillespie just did

1:46:47 what he did over awesome.

1:46:49 >> Yeah,

1:46:49 >> that was freaking really cool to see

1:46:51 [laughter] him out to the lead or

1:46:53 something like that. And look at this

1:46:55 guy. How about that, guys? We're having

1:46:58 fun today. It's Mother's Day. Shout out

1:46:59 to my mom. Happy Mother's Day.

1:47:02 It's been a great day so far. Spender

1:47:06 here.

1:47:07 Oh.

1:47:08 >> Oh, great pitch.

1:47:10 >> Good pitch.

1:47:10 >> Where did it miss?

1:47:14 >> How are you guys doing today? Good.

1:47:17 >> Oh,

1:47:18 >> Alexis. And that's going to fall right

1:47:20 in front of

1:47:21 >> Hampton.

1:47:22 >> Found in the zone.

1:47:24 >> All right.

1:47:25 >> Set up the double play. Set up the

1:47:27 triple play.

1:47:27 >> That was E. That was the plan the whole

1:47:29 time.

1:47:29 >> That was the plan.

1:47:30 >> Bananas are playing checkers. You're

1:47:32 playing chess.

1:47:33 >> Yeah. How about that?

1:47:35 >> Oh, table players. I like table tennis.

1:47:37 Oh my.

1:47:40 >> I loved it.

1:47:42 >> Here we go.

1:47:44 >> Y

1:47:44 >> learned today for the first time.

1:47:46 >> I That looked really good, Dan.

1:47:48 >> Yeah.

1:47:49 >> So, too,

1:47:50 >> you're still learning at your old age,

1:47:52 Drake.

1:47:55 >> I'm learning about Daltton Pawns and his

1:47:57 table tennis.

1:47:58 >> Wow.

1:47:59 >> And his existence as a table tennis

1:48:00 afficionado.

1:48:01 >> Yeah. Pretty good looking pitch, too,

1:48:02 Dol.

1:48:03 >> Yep.

1:48:04 >> Huh. Ah, damn it.

1:48:08 >> That that call I agreed with.

1:48:09 >> Yeah, me too.

1:48:10 >> All right, here we go. Back in the zone,

1:48:12 boys.

1:48:14 >> Here we go. Right through.

1:48:19 >> Yeah.

1:48:19 >> Oh, yeah.

1:48:20 >> There we go.

1:48:21 >> Just imagine you're serving right across

1:48:23 a ping pong table. Oh,

1:48:24 >> I like that.

1:48:25 >> I like that.

1:48:29 >> Oh, yeah. Wow. Oh my gosh.

1:48:31 >> No swing at all.

1:48:32 >> Keep doing that.

1:48:35 A little bit harder.

1:48:40 >> Oh my god.

1:48:47 Man

1:48:50 >> golly, boys.

1:48:51 >> That's as close as it gets.

1:48:53 >> That's

1:48:55 a That's a tough one, Dalton.

1:48:56 >> Yeah. Can't really do much with [music]

1:48:58 that.

1:48:58 >> No. I mean, yes. It's a It's a hair

1:49:01 below the knees. It just with the whole

1:49:03 with the whole plate appearance, you

1:49:04 just wish you could have had one or two

1:49:06 of them, right?

1:49:06 >> I know. At least one or two. It's like

1:49:08 >> I want [music] that 126 curve to start

1:49:10 the at bat back personally.

1:49:12 >> Me, too.

1:49:13 >> All right, here we go. Back into it.

1:49:17 >> Yeah, there we go.

1:49:19 >> Now we're ahead.

1:49:20 >> Fast ball looks alive.

1:49:23 >> I like it.

1:49:29 BALLARD TO THE PLATE.

1:49:31 >> OH,

1:49:32 >> WHAT A PLAY.

1:49:34 >> LET'S GO, BABY.

1:49:36 Great play. Great play. Heck yeah.

1:49:39 That's what I'm talking about.

1:49:40 >> That's why you bring the infield in

1:49:41 right there.

1:49:41 >> There you go. There we go.

1:49:43 >> They say hitters hit

1:49:45 at a 100 at 100 points worse on their

1:49:50 batting average when the infield is in.

1:49:52 >> Who says that? Me

1:49:54 >> when I make things up.

1:49:56 It's like I'm 102, right? [laughter]

1:50:03 >> Oh, now the double play. Oh, that's

1:50:05 going to be hot. It's going to be good.

1:50:10 >> Tough guy to double up. And Ty Jackson.

1:50:12 >> Yeah, it's going to happen right now,

1:50:13 though.

1:50:14 >> Oh, that's a fun.

1:50:16 >> Yep.

1:50:16 >> Hosley's off. COSBRO THROWING THREE.

1:50:19 >> NICE scoop and tag. Ballard Appopley

1:50:25 just all over you.

1:50:28 >> Hosley gave him the business.

1:50:30 >> He's He's safe on the replay.

1:50:32 >> Yeah.

1:50:32 >> Yeah.

1:50:33 >> I just Wow.

1:50:33 >> I want to know if that was a strike or

1:50:35 not.

1:50:37 >> That's interesting.

1:50:38 >> Uh it should have been a strike.

1:50:40 >> Yeah, he did not call it a strike. He

1:50:41 said it was up.

1:50:42 >> What?

1:50:43 >> That's crazy. It's happening right now.

1:50:45 Oh my goodness.

1:50:48 >> Yep. That's fine. Fly ball.

1:50:52 >> All right.

1:50:54 >> Trading out for a run there.

1:50:55 >> Yeah.

1:50:56 >> KJ comes home. Hosley to third. Todd

1:50:58 Jackson the sack fly.

1:51:01 >> Oh my goodness.

1:51:02 >> Oh no. No. No.

1:51:05 >> Ready, guys?

1:51:06 >> I'm ready.

1:51:07 >> All right, guys. Ready for this. So,

1:51:09 it's been an absolute special.

1:51:12 I talked to you guys about this. We've

1:51:14 had battles here. Stilts

1:51:16 >> has never hit a home run in his banana

1:51:19 career.

1:51:20 Guys, I love you so much. I'm going to

1:51:23 tip my cap.

1:51:26 >> Tip my cap for him.

1:51:27 >> Is this your most prolific rival, Posy?

1:51:28 [music]

1:51:29 >> This is I'm going to tip my cap to him

1:51:32 and give it to Chase.

1:51:33 >> Yep. There he goes.

1:51:34 >> Oh my goodness.

1:51:36 >> Miked up on the broadcast. The shorts

1:51:39 stop for the party animals, Dalton

1:51:40 Ponds.

1:51:41 >> Let's do this.

1:51:42 >> Just like we drew it up. Chase

1:51:44 >> we drew it up.

1:51:45 >> Wow. Wow. We'll battle.

1:51:47 >> How about this? Huh? We're having some

1:51:48 fun. Josh's scorebook is on fire.

1:51:51 >> Oh my god.

1:51:52 >> Oh no.

1:51:53 >> Bluefields between the legs behind the

1:51:55 back. Transfer trick play.

1:51:58 >> The master plan works.

1:52:00 >> Guys, what an absolute pleasure.

1:52:02 >> Happy Mother's Day. Hope you guys have a

1:52:04 great day.

1:52:05 >> Love you guys. How about that?

1:52:07 >> That easy.

1:52:08 >> Yeah. Well, I can't do it, so missing.

1:52:10 >> I I don't know. I really don't.

1:52:18 All the fans on the first base side and

1:52:20 the right field,

1:52:22 [cheering]

1:52:24 >> princess, where are you?

1:52:29 >> Well, Janine, I am so glad that you

1:52:32 asked. I am over here on the third base

1:52:34 side representing left field and we call

1:52:38 these folks the royal subjects.

1:52:40 [cheering]

1:52:43 >> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Princess, this is a

1:52:46 competition side versus side where you,

1:52:50 the fans, have to finish each song. Are

1:52:54 you guys ready?

1:53:08 >> [cheering]

1:53:15 [cheering]

1:53:19 >> All right, Atlanta. This first round

1:53:22 goes to the third base in left field

1:53:26 side.

1:53:55 Oh, first base in right field. You

1:53:58 redeem yourself. YOU TAKE ROUND NUMBER

1:54:00 TWO.

1:54:02 WE GOT ONE MORE LATER. I got to hear you

1:54:04 loud.

1:54:16 >> Welcome back to Atlanta, Georgia, where

1:54:18 we bring you Banana Ball live on the CW.

1:54:21 Bo Scalla here with Josh Tleski and

1:54:24 Drake Tol who just spilled his monster

1:54:26 energy.

1:54:27 >> Zamboni, boys. Zamboni

1:54:29 >> slurped it right off the table. Cowboy

1:54:31 Kyle Luig,

1:54:33 >> the 9-year banana here in his fifth

1:54:35 World Tour, takes over with a chance to

1:54:38 tie this game. The Party Animals lead

1:54:40 two points to one, but the Bananas two

1:54:42 runs in the inning. Lewig's looking for

1:54:44 the hold. And the Bananas just got two

1:54:46 scoreless innings worth of work from

1:54:48 Tristan Lec. Now they're hoping the same

1:54:50 can come from Cowboy Kyle Luig who's

1:54:53 done an impressive job at inducing trick

1:54:55 plays this year. 63 and 12% of his outs

1:54:59 have included a trick play that is the

1:55:01 second highest rate among banana ball

1:55:04 qualified pitchers. Wow.

1:55:06 >> Bloomer Fischer and Cosgrove

1:55:08 as Bryson swings through the slider.

1:55:12 These guys know each other as well as

1:55:14 anybody in the sport. Teamed up on the

1:55:17 Bananas in 2021 as collegiate Savannah

1:55:20 Bananas. Won a championship.

1:55:23 Bloomer came back to win another in

1:55:25 2022.

1:55:27 and scorches this but straight to Cox at

1:55:29 short between the legs. Ziggler trying

1:55:31 for a wild behind the back. Can't

1:55:34 connect on the trick play but great

1:55:35 backup by Bryce Grazafi to make sure

1:55:38 Bloomer did not get an extra base.

1:55:40 >> Yeah, you see Alex Ziggler once again

1:55:43 trying to push some things for the

1:55:44 Bananas defensively but whiffs on this

1:55:47 banana ball. And you got to commend

1:55:49 Bryce Grizzappi moving behind home plate

1:55:53 to play back up there for Alex Ziggler

1:55:55 and make sure Bloomer did not get an

1:55:57 extra 90 ft.

1:55:58 >> And that's the throw from Cox. Didn't

1:56:00 really give Ziggler a chance at first

1:56:02 base, but Ziggy had already sold out. He

1:56:04 was going trick play no matter what. Cox

1:56:07 left it up the line a bit. No dice.

1:56:11 >> So Bloomer has reached twice today,

1:56:13 although he's 0 for two. Got a board on

1:56:15 a fieldielder's choice his first time

1:56:16 and stole second.

1:56:18 can see him trying to time up his old

1:56:20 teammate here.

1:56:21 >> Man, that zone shrunk a little bit, Bo.

1:56:24 >> And and the hardest thing right now is

1:56:26 Tyler Gillum said he loves the framing

1:56:28 from Bryce Grosafi, maybe even more than

1:56:31 Bill Loy. He was mentioning his favorite

1:56:33 thing with Gresafi. He's good at

1:56:35 clipping the bottom of [music] the zone,

1:56:37 but we are just not seeing that call

1:56:39 coming right now from Vincent Chapman.

1:56:42 >> Vince says that was bobbled in the

1:56:44 second deck. And [music] no foul out to

1:56:46 the fans for Noah Fischer who flew out

1:56:48 to Ty Jackson and right his first time.

1:56:55 Cuts through this. Lewig with the heater

1:56:58 for his first K. And there's the belt

1:57:00 buckle shuffle. Infamous in Banana Land.

1:57:07 Oh boy. Po cutter looked like it backed

1:57:09 up on him.

1:57:10 >> Yeah. Fischer just a hair in front of

1:57:12 that pitch from Cowboy Kyle Luig. And

1:57:15 now back to the top of the order. Andy

1:57:16 Cosgrove. One for two, but laser beams

1:57:20 each time that he's made contact with

1:57:22 the banana ball today.

1:57:24 >> I think the Home Blade Empire is eating

1:57:25 sushi.

1:57:27 >> What kind of roll is that? Drake. Any

1:57:28 idea?

1:57:29 >> That's why the strike zone has tightened

1:57:31 up a little bit. It's the wasabi.

1:57:34 >> I think that's the uh bang bang shrimp

1:57:36 roll from Kobe Habachi, Wilmington

1:57:38 Island, Georgia. Doesn't look like spicy

1:57:40 tuna.

1:57:40 >> Fresh shift. [laughter]

1:57:42 >> Oh gosh.

1:57:44 [music]

1:57:44 >> It's only a gosh 4hour drive or so.

1:57:51 Fresh as could be as this one lofted

1:57:54 into the seats.

1:57:57 No catch.

1:58:02 Andy Cosgrove three for nine on the

1:58:04 series. starting to come around all

1:58:06 three games in the leadoff spot.

1:58:08 Kid out of Kirkland, Washington.

1:58:11 Made his banana ball debut with the

1:58:13 Aussie Drop Bears in 2024.

1:58:15 >> Be back home Tacoma in a couple weeks.

1:58:18 >> That'll be cool.

1:58:21 Great take on the slider. Runs the count

1:58:23 [music] forward.

1:58:24 >> Ball four sprint would put them at the

1:58:25 corners for the party animals.

1:58:29 >> Good spoil by Cosgrove. Can the fans

1:58:31 help out Luig? No. off the facade of the

1:58:34 third deck.

1:58:36 Nice catch on the ricochet. No good for

1:58:38 an out though.

1:58:43 So, another payoff. This time Bloomer

1:58:45 takes off. Lofted out to right.

1:58:49 Bloomer retreats as Ty Jackson catches

1:58:52 it on the run.

1:58:58 Luig trying to pick up his defense.

1:59:01 should have had a one, two, three

1:59:02 inning. Trick play miss started the

1:59:04 frame. You see the disgust from Cosbro

1:59:06 that he didn't barrel that up.

1:59:09 >> He's got to get through Reese Hampton

1:59:12 to survive this sixth inning unscathed

1:59:14 and tie the game. That was a pretty

1:59:16 massive payoff pitch by the way from

1:59:18 Cowboy Kyle. The Bananas issued eight

1:59:20 ball four sprints last night [music] and

1:59:22 they got away with quite a bit. That has

1:59:24 not been the case today. We've seen two

1:59:26 RBI sprints from the Animals as Hampton

1:59:29 will roll this one up the middle and

1:59:32 into center field. [music]

1:59:33 A two out knock and Reese Hampton

1:59:35 finally breaking out of a hitless

1:59:37 streak. Has his first of the series.

1:59:39 >> Sport like this, you easily think, "What

1:59:41 if? What if? What if?" If if Kyle throws

1:59:43 a ball low, they go from the corners to

1:59:45 the corners. Still a run across only one

1:59:49 out. A lot of this inning changed off of

1:59:51 that pitch from Cowboy Kyle to Ken

1:59:54 Cosgrove on the 3-2.

1:59:57 >> Jake Skull,

1:59:59 one of the only guys with more banana

2:00:01 ball experience than Luig on the bump.

2:00:04 Skull in his sixth world tour.

2:00:08 Sprints in both trips to the dish so far

2:00:10 today.

2:00:14 The inning's tying run is at first.

2:00:17 Skull himself, the all-time leader in

2:00:19 home runs in the sport, represents the

2:00:22 inning's winning run. How about the slim

2:00:24 gym X

2:00:25 >> X

2:00:31 to the curve ball to get back in the

2:00:32 count. [music]

2:00:38 >> Ma'am, on a ball for sprint here too,

2:00:40 the Banana defense has to be very tight.

2:00:43 One miscue and the Animals could put two

2:00:45 across. Yeah, Hampton can fly on first

2:00:48 base

2:00:52 with the Jake Skull signature song

2:00:54 playing. Cosg Gro will score. The

2:00:57 Bananas get it around the infield.

2:00:58 Hampton's going to test their D. NO, A

2:01:00 STOP SIGN FROM SIMO. Throw behind him.

2:01:03 OH NO, HE'S OUT. A BASE RUNNING BLUNDER

2:01:07 TIES the game for the Bananas. It is 22

2:01:10 through six. He had the stop sign from

2:01:13 Thomas Simino the whole way and Hampton

2:01:15 just got a little too greedy then put on

2:01:18 the brakes and the bananas caught him

2:01:20 trying to head back to that bag. The

2:01:23 head first dive does not pay dividends

2:01:26 and now we are evened up here in Truest

2:01:28 Park. Play the long game. We're all tied

2:01:30 up and it's time for big balls.

2:01:33 >> We all know Atlanta loves a good

2:01:36 rivalry. So we have a game to play right

2:01:38 now based on that. This one is called

2:01:41 Big Balls. Let's go ahead and meet our

2:01:44 contestants and the teams they

2:01:46 represent. Our first contestant

2:01:48 representing the Washington Nationals.

2:01:56 Our second contestant representing the

2:01:58 Philadelphia Phillies.

2:02:04 THIRD CONTESTANT REPRESENTING THE NEW

2:02:06 YORK METS.

2:02:10 And our final CONTESTANT REPRESENTING

2:02:13 YOUR ATLANTA [screaming] Praise

2:02:17 and we got Blooper here. All right,

2:02:20 fellas. Let's go ahead and get into our

2:02:22 positions.

2:02:24 They are going to run and collide WITH

2:02:26 ONE ANOTHER. THE LAST TEAM STANDING WILL

2:02:29 BE THE winner of Big Balls. Here we go.

2:02:32 ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GO.

2:02:38 DOWN. WE GOT ONE. ONE DOWN. BACK UP.

2:02:40 BACK UP. BACK UP. GET BACK TO OUR

2:02:43 POSITIONS. We have one elimination.

2:02:45 Phillies, Braves, and Mets still in this

2:02:47 thing. ON YOUR MARKS. GET SET. GO.

2:02:53 Helmet off. Let's reposition. He's down.

2:02:56 It's just Braves VERSUS NEW YORK METS

2:02:59 RIGHT HERE IN Truest Park. Last man

2:03:03 standing. On your mark, [cheering] get

2:03:05 set, go.

2:03:09 Oh,

2:03:11 Braves go down. Braves go down. Mets are

2:03:15 going to be the winner. No, they're not.

2:03:19 Not today, ladies and gentlemen. Your

2:03:22 winners, the Atlanta Braves. [screaming]

2:03:27 >> And there you are, folks. Big balls.

2:03:30 >> It's uh it's it's funny. It's It's big

2:03:32 balls.

2:03:34 >> Where's Adam Byron when you need him? So

2:03:37 we can have the letterman for the Paul

2:03:40 that we have.

2:03:42 >> Yeah. Yeah. Those are those are those

2:03:44 are big [music] balls.

2:03:47 [laughter]

2:03:48 >> Good to see a blooper sighting as well.

2:03:50 Split's best friend in the universe as

2:03:53 Brady Kis

2:03:55 second man out of the pen for the party

2:03:57 animals.

2:03:58 >> Loved the still shot of just blooper

2:04:00 with the title big balls right

2:04:01 underneath him there for a good 7

2:04:03 seconds. Screen grab should be shared

2:04:06 around the world. Jackson Olsen is

2:04:08 plunked.

2:04:09 >> Banana ball out of context.

2:04:11 >> The day that account is started.

2:04:13 >> Oh my gosh.

2:04:13 >> It's going

2:04:15 >> the pool they'll have to choose from.

2:04:17 >> If I had the time, I would have started

2:04:19 it seven years ago.

2:04:23 >> So Jackie,

2:04:24 >> junior in high school 7 years ago.

2:04:26 >> That's absurd.

2:04:30 >> Jackie aboard for the second time today.

2:04:33 He's one for two now with that hit by

2:04:35 pitch.

2:04:38 And Max Young Goldberg

2:04:41 sad.

2:04:44 Why does he look so concerned?

2:04:46 >> Just looks like he's in a little bit of

2:04:48 pain.

2:04:48 >> Oats are not.

2:04:49 >> They're not even friends.

2:04:51 >> They never were friends. They were only

2:04:53 ever business partners.

2:04:54 >> They were just partners.

2:04:55 >> Don't you dare say they were friends.

2:04:56 Don't you dare say they were friends.

2:05:00 >> He does seem very concerned.

2:05:03 That face looks precious as if he's in

2:05:05 pain.

2:05:09 >> Don't cry.

2:05:11 >> They still made magic as a duo,

2:05:13 >> right? And he's singing about dreams

2:05:15 coming true.

2:05:19 >> It's like every other piece of the body

2:05:21 is just really moving and grooving.

2:05:23 >> So good. Oh, he is so good.

2:05:30 >> Kais has not moved. guys is just ready

2:05:34 for delivery

2:05:35 >> and he delivers inside. Max Young

2:05:38 Goldberg

2:05:40 two-run single his last time struck out

2:05:43 his first trip.

2:05:46 He's a head 200 guy who spent four years

2:05:48 at the University of San Diego, his

2:05:50 dream school, before finishing up at

2:05:52 Hope International University.

2:06:01 And after two years in the Pioneer

2:06:03 League, setting their RBI record last

2:06:06 year, he finds himself in banana land.

2:06:08 And that one grazed him, according to

2:06:10 Vincent Chapman. MJG agreed. Brady Kis

2:06:16 out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

2:06:18 here in his third tour. He very much

2:06:20 disagreed.

2:06:21 >> Now the lineup flips.

2:06:24 >> He's been trying to work inside on each

2:06:26 of the first two lefties from the

2:06:28 bananas and wound up clipping them. Now

2:06:31 maybe he'll find some more success

2:06:32 against the right-hander and Dr.

2:06:34 Meadows.

2:06:36 Battle between college roommates

2:06:39 and DR flies it deep to right.

2:06:44 Bobo has it. Olsson tagging.

2:06:47 Relay from Akov. Not in time. Good base

2:06:50 running by Jackie.

2:06:52 And good situational hitting by Meadows.

2:06:56 >> Yeah, if you replicate that with Robert

2:06:58 Anthony Cruz in the two-hole. The

2:06:59 Bananas will have scored for the third

2:07:02 consecutive inning.

2:07:04 >> Yeah, that's when it hurts your batting

2:07:06 average on base percentage, but it's a

2:07:07 quality at bat.

2:07:10 >> My JB baseball coach Joe Depino would be

2:07:12 proud.

2:07:14 Nothing mattered [music] more to him.

2:07:16 >> Well, the interesting trend in this ball

2:07:17 game, the Bananas, every time they've

2:07:19 gotten the leadoff man on, have scored.

2:07:21 THAT MAY CHANGE HERE. AKOFF BOUNCE PASS

2:07:23 TO MIKE BALLARD, BUT SWAN CANNOT APPLY

2:07:26 THE TAG ON ROBERT Anthony Cruz. The

2:07:30 Animals get an out, but crossing the

2:07:32 plate is Jackson Olsen. And the Bananas

2:07:35 do indeed tally a run here in the

2:07:38 seventh.

2:07:46 Kappy and Basser.

2:07:48 >> It's so odd how human beings celebrate

2:07:51 the scoring of the runs. [laughter]

2:07:56 >> When I was in high school, we didn't

2:07:57 really celebrate the runs like that. But

2:08:01 7 million views on social media later,

2:08:03 it'll all make sense. [laughter]

2:08:11 All right, what a play. Andy Cosgrove.

2:08:13 >> Love the Sister Nancy walk up from Dan

2:08:16 Oburst.

2:08:18 Bomb bomb.

2:08:21 Obururst was two for two. He's going to

2:08:24 be two for three. Reese Hampton just shy

2:08:28 of the track to put a close to the

2:08:30 bananas half of the seventh inning, but

2:08:32 they have scored in three straight

2:08:34 frames. And if they can put up a zero in

2:08:37 the bottom of the seventh, they will

2:08:39 take [music] their first lead in the

2:08:40 allimportant points department this

2:08:42 afternoon.

2:08:54 Out of your seats, on your feet. I want

2:08:58 to see

2:08:58 >> I tell you what, party animals YouTube

2:09:00 channel

2:09:07 join in together to sing Don't Stop

2:09:11 Believing.

2:09:12 >> It's just us.

2:09:13 >> Yeah.

2:09:16 >> Don't stop believing. It's fun.

2:09:22 What a voice.

2:09:24 >> Riley Green, man.

2:09:25 >> Got a hit.

2:09:33 >> He stepped out of the box.

2:09:37 >> Vince turned around. [laughter]

2:09:40 >> Vince is eating sushi over there.

2:09:47 I got a text from our other statistical

2:09:49 support Barry Aldridge. [laughter]

2:09:55 >> Every now and then it's kind of feel

2:09:57 thing. You just

2:09:59 Tina Martinez walks the play. Well, you

2:10:00 going to ring him up? You going to ring

2:10:02 him up?

2:10:07 >> Correct me if I'm wrong, Josh. I think

2:10:08 they they did ring up Rick and Keel.

2:10:11 West Palm Beach.

2:10:12 >> Wow.

2:10:13 >> 2023.

2:10:14 stepping out of the box. [singing]

2:10:18 [cheering]

2:10:19 >> I think he might have had a cold strike

2:10:21 on him, but I believe he swung through

2:10:23 an 02 pitch.

2:10:24 >> Huh. [singing]

2:10:26 >> What are rules for him not to be broken,

2:10:28 huh?

2:10:30 [screaming]

2:10:38 >> Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

2:10:40 CW. We are not stopping believing.

2:10:45 That's a convoluted but correct way to

2:10:48 put it.

2:10:48 >> Thank you.

2:10:52 >> Someone will say we're still believing.

2:10:54 >> Our believing never ceases.

2:10:56 >> See, this place is an asylum.

2:11:01 >> What a scene though, man. The last two

2:11:03 nights, the way that this fan base, the

2:11:06 banana ball fan base, right, has

2:11:08 embraced and approached these two teams,

2:11:10 this sport, this city.

2:11:13 Walking around last night at the

2:11:14 Battery. Such a well- constructed

2:11:17 complex here in Atlanta.

2:11:18 >> Yeah.

2:11:19 >> And jerseys everywhere. Party animals,

2:11:21 bananas. You see people in bananas

2:11:22 jerseys that have little baggies from

2:11:24 their merchandise shopping for Party

2:11:27 Animals gear.

2:11:30 >> Place has been black and pink this

2:11:32 weekend. Cool to see the growth of the

2:11:34 Banana Ball Championship League. Over

2:11:37 120,000 fans have got to experience

2:11:41 Banana Ball this weekend

2:11:44 and not a one of them has ceased to quit

2:11:48 believing.

2:11:52 That's the power of Banana Land.

2:11:56 We got a heck of a ball game on our

2:11:57 hands as well. Bottom of the seventh,

2:11:59 nodded at two. Bananas have a run across

2:12:03 >> as TJ Reeves high and deep out to left.

2:12:08 THIS INNING IS TIED.

2:12:10 THE [cheering] ROOKIE TJ REEVES.

2:12:16 Rocket to left.

2:12:20 And now the Party Animals ARE SWINGING

2:12:22 AWAY HERE IN THE seventh

2:12:25 from regaining the lead. And boys, TJ

2:12:29 Reeves has Kyle Lewig's number. Had the

2:12:33 home run against him in Yankee Stadium a

2:12:35 couple weekends ago. Takes him deep FOR

2:12:38 THE SECOND TIME IN HIS CAREER. BOTH OF

2:12:40 HIS FIRST TWO BANANA Ball homers have

2:12:43 come against the longest tenure, Bananas

2:12:46 Arm.

2:12:48 >> Well, he scouted him across three games

2:12:49 in September of 2023 in Milwaukee,

2:12:52 Wisconsin,

2:12:54 and it paid off. And that's Jacksonville

2:12:57 University on Jacksonville University

2:12:59 crime. Kyle finished his college career

2:13:02 there spring of 2021. TJ Reeves got

2:13:05 there fall of 2021. Spent his final two

2:13:09 seasons as a Gamecock.

2:13:13 >> You think you'd be kinder to a

2:13:16 party animals have the fewest home runs

2:13:18 in the Banana Ball Championship League,

2:13:19 by the way. Just two here in Atlanta

2:13:24 last night. Late and timely a walk-off

2:13:26 from Tanner Thomas there from TJ Reeves.

2:13:29 He assures that going into the eight at

2:13:31 the very least this game will be tied.

2:13:46 >> Low strike called on Jason Swan. Runs

2:13:48 the count both. [music]

2:13:49 Haven't seen a ton of those this

2:13:51 afternoon.

2:13:54 As that one just misses below the knees,

2:13:57 Swanie gets the call there [music] and

2:13:59 will be content with one base on the

2:14:00 sprint as all seven fielders behind the

2:14:02 pitcher and catcher touch the ball

2:14:04 before it's live.

2:14:09 >> This is the first real series where Swan

2:14:12 has struggled and at least he did the

2:14:13 first two nights. But here today, a

2:14:16 double and a ball for sprint. Jason Swan

2:14:19 right back.

2:14:22 That 429 OBP is only going to increase.

2:14:34 Ball in a strike now on Mike Ballard.

2:14:37 Came off the bench this afternoon.

2:14:39 Bounced into [music] a double trick

2:14:40 play. his lone plate appearance

2:14:45 behind one and two with the inning

2:14:48 winning run on first and no outs.

2:14:54 Another great stop. Bryce Gafi has been

2:14:57 a brick wall behind the dish today. Same

2:15:00 goes for Andy Cosgrove. Just phenomenal

2:15:02 catching from both sides.

2:15:03 >> Energy giver, man.

2:15:06 >> There goes Swan. He stops. And this one

2:15:10 pass KJ Cox.

2:15:13 WHAT A PLAY. JUST IN TIME AND HE GOT

2:15:15 HIM.

2:15:17 That's the right call.

2:15:22 Really strong from Ryan Cox.

2:15:28 But a man in scoring position for Chase

2:15:30 Auff

2:15:33 who was one for three last night with a

2:15:35 ball for a sprint. Had a productive

2:15:37 evening. He's one for two today.

2:15:48 Swan takes off for third. No throw from

2:15:51 Grizz. Swan had it stolen on Luig.

2:15:55 >> Inning winning run 90 ft away with just

2:15:57 one out and a two- count.

2:15:59 >> That's your first baseman swiping third

2:16:02 base.

2:16:02 >> Yeah, that's his seventh stolen base of

2:16:04 the season as well. Well, that's

2:16:06 something that he's really added to his

2:16:08 game as how about that Ryan Cox a big

2:16:12 second out that one right at him and

2:16:15 some shorts stop on shorts stop crime.

2:16:17 AUP retired and now the inning is in the

2:16:21 hands of Tanner Thomas who last night in

2:16:23 the seventh inning had the big walkoff

2:16:26 home run for the party animals off

2:16:28 Frankie Moscatello. Just blew a kiss to

2:16:31 cowboy Kyle.

2:16:33 You mentioned how Kyle and Bloomer have

2:16:35 known each other for so long.

2:16:36 >> Try on a Tanner Thomas, too.

2:16:39 >> 2018 and 2019. Teammates as bananas.

2:16:43 >> Thomas goes around to even up the count.

2:16:49 And even teammates in banana ball for

2:16:51 two games in 2022,

2:16:53 teaming up to take on the Kansas City

2:16:56 Monarchs.

2:17:07 The 2-1

2:17:09 >> grounder to Cox. He will take care of

2:17:12 it.

2:17:13 >> Oh no,

2:17:15 >> THE INNING'S OVER. IT IS A WALK-OFF.

2:17:19 >> COX'S THROW WAS AARON AND THE PARTY

2:17:21 ANIMALS HAVE A 3-2 LEAD IN THIS BALL

2:17:25 GAME. WHAT A MISCUE BY THE BANANAS LATE.

2:17:28 The Animals

2:17:30 come back and are up by one.

2:17:43 top from all three

2:17:48 $40,000

2:17:57 91.

2:18:24 You're going to see the next

2:18:36 This is party.

2:19:05 >> [cheering]

2:19:13 [cheering]

2:19:25 [cheering]

2:19:31 [cheering]

2:19:34 >> tomorrow. Tomorrow, an allnew episode of

2:19:36 the CW's hit series Sullivan's Crossing

2:19:39 continues. Every relationship has its

2:19:41 secrets, and this one is just getting

2:19:44 interesting. Don't miss an allnew

2:19:46 episode of Sullivan's Crossing tomorrow

2:19:49 at 8:7 Central, only on the CW.

2:19:53 >> I'm not going to miss it.

2:19:55 >> You told me pregame, Josh, a lot of your

2:19:57 past relationships reminded you of this

2:19:59 season's plot line of Sullivan's

2:20:00 Crossing.

2:20:01 >> Amen. Amen, brother.

2:20:04 >> [laughter]

2:20:04 >> Can't always be roy me with a lot of

2:20:07 surprises.

2:20:10 >> And I wish they hadn't.

2:20:13 [laughter]

2:20:15 >> Top of the eighth.

2:20:17 Big swing and a miss on a pitch way

2:20:20 above the zone from Reese Alexi trying

2:20:22 to square up Dylan Porter.

2:20:25 Fourth party animal to tow the slab

2:20:27 today.

2:20:27 >> Gosh, he's been great this season, too.

2:20:31 Porter

2:20:32 >> threw for the Animals for the last time

2:20:34 in 2024. Took a hiatus in 25. Was

2:20:36 drafted by the Animals. Come back to

2:20:38 Banana Ball after a year in independent

2:20:40 baseball out in California.

2:20:44 Now the team relies on him.

2:20:51 456 in the order here for the Bananas.

2:20:54 Alexiotis, KJ, and Cox.

2:20:59 Jam shot. Porter caught off by Bloomer.

2:21:02 Tip drill. You bet.

2:21:06 >> Now that equalizer point ever important.

2:21:09 The party animals a five trick play lead

2:21:12 in that category. 11-6.

2:21:15 That nearly puts it to bed. A five trick

2:21:18 play lead feels awfully safe if you're

2:21:20 the party animals. Unless the bananas

2:21:23 somehow were able to get three double

2:21:25 trick plays in the next inning. Again,

2:21:27 that was very smart by Bloomer in foul

2:21:29 territory. You've got to try it. He

2:21:31 secures the out. And you got a quick

2:21:33 look at those numbers from Dylan Porter,

2:21:35 a guy with the highest strikeout rate

2:21:37 currently of any Party Animals pitcher.

2:21:42 >> Yeah, striking out 27% of the hitters he

2:21:47 faces.

2:21:48 And and to give that context, the

2:21:51 equalizer point is awarded to the

2:21:53 visiting team if they have more trick

2:21:56 plays than the home team heading into

2:21:58 the final inning. That's why that's very

2:22:00 important. The party animals can defend

2:22:01 it here today.

2:22:06 Two balls in a strike on KJ. Struck out

2:22:09 both his times against Gillespie in the

2:22:11 first and fourth. Then an RBI ball for

2:22:13 Sprint

2:22:15 in that two-run sixth for the Bananas

2:22:17 that led to them tying the game.

2:22:18 >> Good pitch from Porter.

2:22:24 >> Animals came back from a one-run deficit

2:22:27 in the seventh to retake the lead as KJ

2:22:30 cranks this deep down THE RIGHT FIELD

2:22:32 LINE. IT'S GONE. [cheering] KYLE

2:22:35 JACKSON, his fourth bomb of the year.

2:22:38 And what a response from the Nanners

2:22:40 offense.

2:22:42 Kyle Jackson clutch stop at the plate.

2:22:47 HIS FIRST HOME RUN SINCE March 28

2:22:50 against the Indianapolis Clowns that

2:22:52 completed his cycle AND JUST WHAT THE

2:22:56 BANANAS NEEDED A BIG BLAST TO TRY AND

2:22:58 TIE UP THIS BALL GAME. Rex Castillo.

2:23:02 >> Hey KJ locked in right now. KJ, how are

2:23:05 you feeling about the boys chances right

2:23:06 now?

2:23:06 >> I feel good. The bananas are fighters,

2:23:08 man. We got a good spot ready. Back to

2:23:10 you guys.

2:23:11 >> Thank you, Rex.

2:23:14 >> The voice of KJ while we watch the

2:23:16 replay of his home run.

2:23:20 >> And that is the first home run Dylan

2:23:22 Porter has given up in 2026. [cheering]

2:23:26 It could result in us headed to the

2:23:27 ninth inning tie.

2:23:29 >> The clock thickens,

2:23:32 >> but as we just mentioned, the Bananas

2:23:34 blew a one-run lead an inning ago. So

2:23:37 they

2:23:37 >> frustration from the party almost

2:23:39 catcher Andy Cosgrove right there.

2:23:40 Visible

2:23:41 >> wanted that call against Ryan Collins.

2:23:43 >> Yeah.

2:23:46 >> Long story short, Lanner certainly

2:23:48 should not be content with just one run

2:23:50 here.

2:23:58 >> What a crazy fifth through eight inning

2:24:01 innings that we've seen.

2:24:03 Pistol squat,

2:24:06 >> fast balls wide. That's how Dylan Porter

2:24:08 has collected three trick plays this

2:24:10 year on pistol squat strikeouts.

2:24:12 >> And that was another really smart

2:24:13 decision. If he gets the strike out,

2:24:15 it's another trick play. They're up six

2:24:17 against the Bananas. And you see Porter

2:24:20 going back to the good old country hard

2:24:22 ball running that pitch inside on Ryan

2:24:25 Cox. And the swing and miss stuff

2:24:28 continues for Dylan Porter. Beautiful

2:24:31 catch and a big punch out.

2:24:37 >> Ty Jackson, [cheering] the Dunkin Donut

2:24:40 hitter. If Porter can get the K again,

2:24:44 the fans here in Truest Park get three

2:24:46 donuts.

2:24:48 [cheering]

2:24:52 >> Yeah, that fast ball has fuzz on it.

2:25:02 Porter has reentered the sport looking

2:25:04 so rejuvenated

2:25:06 >> physically, mentally.

2:25:10 Sands that home run, which was a big

2:25:12 one. Porters looked strong, been in

2:25:13 control.

2:25:15 >> Chance for the fans

2:25:18 [cheering]

2:25:19 in the try out Dylan had to get back

2:25:20 into banana ball. He was consistently 90

2:25:23 to 93. He touched 95 with the fast ball.

2:25:26 The curveball, slider, and change up all

2:25:28 moving [cheering] more than ever before.

2:25:33 The coaches were floored

2:25:35 >> as he goes for another trick pitch

2:25:37 strike out, but the heaters low.

2:25:38 >> And the rhetoric was, "Oh, Porter's

2:25:40 trying out again. That's fun." And then

2:25:41 after the try out was, "Oh my gosh,

2:25:43 Dylan Porter was dominant in his try

2:25:45 out. Someone has to draft him."

2:25:50 and back with his familiar squad as that

2:25:52 fast ball misses just a bit outside. Big

2:25:55 turn by Ty Jackson. He will park it at

2:25:57 first base.

2:25:59 >> And the biggest thing that a lot of

2:26:00 teams saw to Dylan Porter in that try

2:26:02 out was consistent strikes. He finished

2:26:04 his 2024 campaign with more ball force

2:26:06 sprints allowed than strikeouts

2:26:08 generated. big reason he decided to take

2:26:11 the year off. But now seeing quite the

2:26:14 rebound for Dylan Porter as he now goes

2:26:17 to battle against Bryce Grazappi. And

2:26:19 that was just the second ball for sprint

2:26:21 the party animals have dealt today.

2:26:24 Though they have hit three bananas

2:26:26 batters.

2:26:31 >> Ball in a strike on Gafi. Strike out and

2:26:34 a fly out today.

2:26:36 This is only his fourth career banana

2:26:38 ball plate appearance.

2:26:43 >> The guy who was fantastic last spring

2:26:44 for Lamar. That's a pitch you want.

2:26:46 Yeah.

2:26:46 >> Porter in Cosgro.

2:26:47 >> Cosgro's holding it out there. Sam, what

2:26:49 do we have to do?

2:26:52 >> Grizz guy hit 287 last spring. Had a 401

2:26:55 on base percentage. Really nice finish

2:26:57 to his college career after four years

2:26:59 at Southeastern Louisiana.

2:27:06 and a Gillum guy as they call him. 18

2:27:09 walks last year, only 13 strikeouts.

2:27:12 That's what Tyler Gillum loves.

2:27:16 Not a lot of pop, but so hard to strike

2:27:19 out.

2:27:21 There goes Ty. He ends up parking it and

2:27:23 the broadcasters jinx in full effect.

2:27:26 Grizz down swinging. Good old country

2:27:28 hard ball from Porter. But the bananas a

2:27:30 chance to tie this game thanks to the

2:27:33 Kyle Jackson solo shot.

2:27:44 And we're going all the way around

2:27:47 multiple times. Are you ready?

2:27:51 >> Here we go. In three, two, one. Get up.

2:27:57 [screaming] Let's go.

2:28:02 KEEP IT GOING. KEEP IT GOING.

2:28:09 Keep it going. A town. All the way

2:28:12 around the horn.

2:28:18 Let's see how long we can keep it going.

2:28:23 Y'all ready? It's coming back around.

2:28:27 It's coming around.

2:28:29 Here it comes. Let's go.

2:28:44 We're two for two. Atlanta. Can we make

2:28:48 it three for three? Keep it going.

2:28:55 We are setting records in truest park,

2:28:58 baby.

2:29:00 Last one.

2:29:02 Biggest one. Best one.

2:29:08 [cheering]

2:29:10 This Tuesday on NXT, a new chapter

2:29:12 begins right here on the CW. The roster

2:29:15 is shaking up and new faces are making

2:29:17 their mark. It's an era of opportunity

2:29:19 you do not want to miss. WWE NXT Tuesday

2:29:23 at 8:7 Central right here on the CW.

2:29:28 >> What a banana ball game we've got going

2:29:30 on. To the bottom of the eighth inning

2:29:34 we go. Jacob Bazella will come in trying

2:29:37 to tie this game. And here comes a

2:29:39 golden batter.

2:29:41 >> The party animals are invoking the

2:29:44 golden batter rule. Batting in place of

2:29:49 Bryson Bloomer.

2:29:51 He wears

2:29:53 X [screaming]

2:29:55 cheek

2:29:57 skull.

2:30:01 >> Josh Tipsky, the statistical savant of

2:30:04 Banana Ball. We are not in the ninth

2:30:05 inning. Why would the party animals go

2:30:08 golden batter in the eighth? Take me

2:30:09 into the strategy.

2:30:10 >> You've you've got bottom of the order,

2:30:12 two up. You're expecting to have

2:30:14 potentially two, three, four. If you do

2:30:17 reach the ninth inning, you're just

2:30:19 trying to see if you can get something

2:30:21 sparked from the bottom of this order.

2:30:23 And Jake Skull has had a lot of success

2:30:25 as the golden batter in his career. And

2:30:28 specifically in the eighth inning of

2:30:30 play this year, he's five for six with

2:30:33 two sprints. And by the way, guys,

2:30:35 today's golden batter is brought to you

2:30:37 by PNC Bank. Brilliantly boring since

2:30:40 1865.

2:30:42 But nothing boring about the golden

2:30:45 batter

2:30:46 nor this high pressure situation

2:30:49 with the game on the line in our second

2:30:52 to last inning. That is a sword from

2:30:54 Skull.

2:30:56 And it's a credit to that filthy

2:30:58 splitter from Bazela.

2:31:03 High 80s, low 90s with the gas slider

2:31:06 curve ball and a knuckle ball with that

2:31:08 signature split fastball.

2:31:13 2-2.

2:31:15 >> As of right now, it's not a huge point

2:31:18 of emphasis, but it's creeping there.

2:31:19 The time 420 left in this eighth inning.

2:31:30 Skull. Did he go? Checking down to

2:31:32 third. No. Chad Little says Skull was

2:31:35 able to hold up the Bananas. able to

2:31:37 scramble to some sprint defense and keep

2:31:40 Jake to just one base on his fourth ball

2:31:43 force sprint of the game. That's why use

2:31:45 him as the golden batter again in the

2:31:47 eighth inning. He has now reached eight

2:31:49 out of his nine plate appearances this

2:31:52 season. And the Animals will take him

2:31:54 off the bases, use their designated

2:31:56 runner, Mark Smith, and now it's another

2:31:59 pinch hitter into this ball game.

2:32:01 Bronson Ballome is now [music] batting

2:32:04 in the spot for Noah Fischer. And going

2:32:06 back to that timer, if it hits zero,

2:32:08 this becomes the final inning and every

2:32:11 run scored counts as a point. Meaning

2:32:13 currently the game would be tied three

2:32:15 points [music] to three points as the

2:32:17 bananas scored in the top half of the

2:32:19 eighth. But taking his time, too.

2:32:28 >> Ronnie did not get the start on Friday.

2:32:33 played all nine innings as the catcher

2:32:34 last night as he golfs this one

2:32:38 >> just shy of the infield. Ryan Cox tip

2:32:41 drill. KJ dives to make sure Cox gets

2:32:44 the trick play as the Bananas

2:32:48 still down four trick plays.

2:32:50 >> Yeah, I I think that trick play is just

2:32:51 for sport. Keep the crowd engaged and

2:32:53 entertained. Couple of guys who know the

2:32:55 game of banana ball so well. Making sure

2:32:57 the fans are

2:33:00 getting a show.

2:33:05 The only way the Nanners can claim the

2:33:06 equalizer point here is if they string

2:33:08 together a triple trick play with foot

2:33:10 or knee juggles.

2:33:14 >> It's also potential on a trick pitch.

2:33:16 Strike out. Catcher goes between the

2:33:18 legs. There's it's going to take some

2:33:20 oddities. It's

2:33:20 >> rare. It's Let's just say it's rare.

2:33:22 >> Correct.

2:33:24 >> We'll let you know if you see it.

2:33:26 >> Smith off from first. Grizzafi's throw.

2:33:28 Not in time. He did not have a chance.

2:33:30 And Mark Smith a perfect five for five

2:33:33 in his stolen base tries this year.

2:33:34 >> That adds some more time to this

2:33:36 equation. Now two minutes remaining

2:33:39 >> on the two-hour time. No new inning can

2:33:41 start if it hits zero.

2:33:46 Just misses the inside corner.

2:33:51 3-1

2:33:53 big swing. Cosgrove was trying to make

2:33:56 it a 4-2 game with one swing of the bat.

2:34:03 Payoff

2:34:05 >> bounce. Look out. Bananas.

2:34:08 >> JT Sakalov, I think, got a little bit of

2:34:10 that Cosgrove foul ball.

2:34:18 Another payoff. SWING AND A MISS. BAZA

2:34:22 GOES TO THE OFF SPEED FOR A HUGE PUNCH

2:34:24 OUT. PULLS THE STRING on Andy Cosgrove

2:34:28 and he can be prone to the K especially

2:34:31 this season. What a beautiful payoff

2:34:34 pitch from Jacob Aela who now misses

2:34:37 high to Ree Hampton. One minute left. A

2:34:40 ball for sprint right here might end the

2:34:42 game.

2:34:45 Out to right, Ty Jackson will send us to

2:34:49 the ninth. Tied at three points a piece

2:34:51 in this rubber game in Truis Park.

2:34:55 And with 45 seconds to spare,

2:35:00 >> we head to the final inning. The Party

2:35:02 Animals defend the equalizer point and

2:35:06 it is tied at three.

2:35:07 >> Party Panda, your turn, my friend.

2:35:10 >> Means it's time to look up at the

2:35:12 scoreboard

2:35:14 with the Bananas taking the eighth

2:35:16 inning. They tied the game at three-3.

2:35:23 The party animals had more trick plays,

2:35:25 so the equalizer point does not come

2:35:29 into play.

2:35:31 Here's the thing.

2:35:34 We're tied

2:35:36 in banana ball in the final inning.

2:35:39 Every single run scored counts as a

2:35:43 point. SO, IT'S ANYBODY'S BALL GAME.

2:35:45 ATLANTA, YOU'VE BEEN AMAZING ALL DAY.

2:35:49 I KNOW you are not done. I need to feel

2:35:56 YOUR [screaming] ENERGY

2:36:00 [cheering]

2:36:04 because this is the final

2:36:08 [screaming]

2:36:15 [screaming]

2:36:16 >> [cheering]

2:36:19 >> Party Panda absolutely built for this

2:36:25 >> as we are knotted at three with Peter

2:36:28 Holden, the 65 Southpaw who got the save

2:36:32 on Friday night taking over trying to

2:36:34 hold it at just that for his party

2:36:37 animals.

2:36:42 >> What a story. University of North

2:36:44 Florida

2:36:46 his senior year in 2024. He finished

2:36:48 spring ball and went straight into

2:36:50 banana ball having thrown over a 100

2:36:52 innings that spring jumped into this

2:36:55 sport.

2:36:58 And again, we saw a save on Friday night

2:37:00 for Pistol P. Only the second of the

2:37:03 season for the party animals and Holden

2:37:06 was able to work himself out of trouble.

2:37:09 had two guys in scoring position before

2:37:11 he was able to get Bill Loy to fly up to

2:37:13 Tanner Thomas in left field. So trying

2:37:16 to keep the bases empty and pitch a very

2:37:18 clean ninth to try and set up a walk-off

2:37:21 victory for the Animals. Yep.

2:37:25 >> And and this is a moment he deserves

2:37:26 now. Has worked his way since that 2024

2:37:28 season to this being able to come in and

2:37:31 close in the biggest moments.

2:37:34 Jackson Olsson due to lead off the

2:37:36 inning, but we're getting a golden

2:37:37 batter instead.

2:37:40 >> Ladies and gentlemen, the Savannah

2:37:43 Bananas are invoking the golden batter

2:37:46 rule. Hitting in the place of Jackson

2:37:49 Olsen is the Savannah Bananas GOLDEN

2:37:52 BATTER. PLEASE WELCOME DAN

2:37:57 BURST. [screaming]

2:38:00 The Bananas Golden Batter is brought to

2:38:02 you by PNC Bank. Brilliantly boring

2:38:05 since 1865.

2:38:08 And we get another chapter in this

2:38:11 rivalry between Oburst and Holden. A

2:38:13 couple Sunshine State kids. A new

2:38:15 rivalry

2:38:16 >> dueling it out here in the Big Peach.

2:38:19 Talked about it Friday night when we had

2:38:21 this exact matchup. Dan had an infield

2:38:25 single on a swinging bunt. But two

2:38:27 weekends ago in New York City

2:38:30 in Yankee Stadium, Overs flew out to the

2:38:32 track and left and then hit an opposite

2:38:34 field home run into the second deck in

2:38:37 the Bronx.

2:38:37 >> Dan told me on the subway post game, he

2:38:39 said, "Look, I know I got him, but Peter

2:38:41 Holden's got great stuff."

2:38:45 >> 02.

2:38:48 >> And Ober throughout his entire career,

2:38:50 this now his eighth season as a Savannah

2:38:52 Banana, has always hit very well against

2:38:54 lefties.

2:39:11 bouncer past Bryson Bloomer and Dan

2:39:14 Oburst in the clutch as the golden

2:39:16 batter once again. his third hit as the

2:39:19 golden batter this season for the

2:39:21 Savannah Bananas and they've all come

2:39:24 against Pistol Pete. It is unbelievable

2:39:27 the damage that Obur has been able to do

2:39:29 against the party animal Southpaw and

2:39:32 let's not forget Oberunner [music]

2:39:35 in his own right.

2:39:41 >> Four steals this year. Dan has not been

2:39:43 caught yet.

2:39:44 >> I'm not sure if it's a rivalry until

2:39:45 it's two-sided. [music]

2:39:46 It's been all Dan Obururst in the

2:39:48 meetings between Danny and Peter Holden.

2:39:52 >> Certainly with a lot of luck on Friday

2:39:53 night,

2:39:57 but it pays to be lucky in baseball and

2:39:59 banana ball as Max Young Goldberg, who

2:40:02 has been awfully patient this whole

2:40:03 weekend, is ahead 200. A two-run single

2:40:07 in the fifth inning, [music] helped the

2:40:09 Bananas claim their first point.

2:40:12 >> Big swing and miss on the fast ball.

2:40:16 One for two, hit by a pitch in his last

2:40:18 trip to the dish.

2:40:23 >> He's reached base [music] eight out of

2:40:24 10 played appearances here in Atlanta

2:40:27 this weekend as Holden gives Ober some

2:40:29 attention.

2:40:29 >> That classic Peter Holden [music]

2:40:30 pickoff move might be the best all of

2:40:33 banana ball.

2:40:35 >> Very Andy Pettitesque.

2:40:38 >> MJG ahead three in one.

2:40:45 Ball force sprint barring no miscues

2:40:47 [music] would put runners at the

2:40:49 corners.

2:40:52 >> Holden gets the outside corner.

2:40:58 >> Everyone waited with baited breath.

2:41:01 >> See if Dan goes on the 3-2. Nobody out.

2:41:05 Top of the ninth. Tie game and Holden

2:41:09 misses. Oburst will go first to third as

2:41:12 the Animals get it around the infield

2:41:14 and now their three outfielders in short

2:41:16 order. Textbook sprint defense. Runners

2:41:18 on the corners for the top of the order.

2:41:21 >> Here's what we don't consider enough.

2:41:23 All three outfielders of the party

2:41:25 animals just had to go full sprint 200

2:41:27 ft into the infield. That plays into how

2:41:30 the rest of the ninth inning goes.

2:41:31 You're gassed and you don't get much of

2:41:32 an opportunity to recollect yourself.

2:41:35 Anything hit deep could be serious

2:41:37 trouble for those three.

2:41:40 And there's more cards stacked against

2:41:41 the party animals here. The Bananas have

2:41:43 been the best team in the ninth inning

2:41:44 all season long. They're batting over

2:41:46 300 in the ninth inning. They have

2:41:49 scored more than 10 points in the ninth

2:41:52 inning as well. And Dr. Meadows falls

2:41:54 behind after a high strike call from

2:41:56 Vincent Chapman.

2:42:00 Infield in as that one gets the inside

2:42:03 corner. A bunch of pitches pitch

2:42:05 pitchers pitches rather from Peter

2:42:07 Holden to jump ahead.

2:42:13 02 to Doc Pepe.

2:42:15 >> Wow. Right back to the Well, that one

2:42:17 just misses the corner.

2:42:20 >> See, Peter kind of cocked the head a

2:42:22 little bit.

2:42:24 >> Where we got to put that one? We got to

2:42:26 move that one. Shadows coming in here,

2:42:27 too. Makes it very tough on a hitter.

2:42:31 SWING AND A MISS. AND IT'S THE signature

2:42:34 change up. One of the best pitches in

2:42:36 Banana Ball. pulled in a massive first

2:42:39 down.

2:42:42 >> Wow. That's it. That's the strikeout

2:42:45 pitch. Brett Hilton was telling us a

2:42:47 starter for the party animals. We don't

2:42:48 we don't have a ton of guys in the back

2:42:49 end that have jump strikeout stuff.

2:42:51 Peter Holden's that guy.

2:42:53 >> And Billy, Dr. Meadows, Ryan Cox, they

2:42:56 have the three lowest chase rates on the

2:42:58 Savannah Bananas. You don't see that

2:43:00 often from Dr. Meadows. Just trying to

2:43:02 put the ball in play. Instead, comes up

2:43:04 empty. And now the double play is set up

2:43:06 with Robert Anthony Cruz at the dish.

2:43:08 >> Corners are still in.

2:43:10 >> OH NO, MJG PICKED OFF PETER HOLDEN. WHAT

2:43:14 A MOVE.

2:43:15 >> HE IS SO DANG GOOD AT THAT. THE LEFT ARM

2:43:19 OF PISTOL PETE is incredible when it

2:43:22 comes to gunning him down on the base.

2:43:23 >> You see exactly why he is the pickoff

2:43:25 record holder at the University of North

2:43:27 Florida.

2:43:28 >> Crazy.

2:43:28 >> What a fantastic move from Holden. AND

2:43:30 YOU SEE IMMEDIATELY TWO DOWN, GUYS. Two

2:43:33 down. He is amped up. The fans are going

2:43:35 to challenge. This will be the fastest

2:43:36 fan challenge in history. But I want to

2:43:38 go back to what Josh, what you just

2:43:39 mentioned.

2:43:40 >> Vince is trying to wave it off.

2:43:43 >> I don't. No, he has that.

2:43:46 >> Yeah, you can't. The fans ch they've

2:43:47 used their need to honor the challenge.

2:43:49 >> They used their challenge. Yes, it was

2:43:51 obvious the result of the play, but the

2:43:53 fans did use their challenge and they

2:43:55 have the right to do so whenever they'd

2:43:57 like. Now Josh, you hit the nail on the

2:43:59 head. That North Florida record, it's

2:44:01 not a bo. WHAT HE'S DOING is straight up

2:44:04 great baseball put onto a banana ball

2:44:06 field. He's just elite at the pickoff

2:44:08 move.

2:44:10 And yes, officially we have confirmed

2:44:13 the 40,000 hand. Well, it was

2:44:16 surprisingly an out.

2:44:19 >> Really thought that one was getting

2:44:20 flipped.

2:44:22 >> Wave it off. No fan challenge.

2:44:26 >> And boy is this ninth inning changed

2:44:28 now.

2:44:28 >> Holden's fifth runner picked off already

2:44:30 this year. Absolutely remarkable as this

2:44:32 one squibbed foul.

2:44:33 >> Hey, but who's really really good in the

2:44:35 ninth inning,

2:44:37 >> Robert Anthony Cruz

2:44:45 one for four today. Bouncer to first.

2:44:49 Jason Swan to the bag and Holden with a

2:44:53 runner on third and no outs

2:44:56 strands them. absolute onions to keep

2:44:59 this game tied.

2:45:03 Wow.

2:45:05 And and now

2:45:08 use the word unflapable earlier in

2:45:10 reference to a fan catching a foul ball.

2:45:14 How about Danny Hosley? Huh? You want

2:45:17 unflapable? He has not blinked yet in

2:45:22 2026. We're in miday

2:45:25 and Danny Hosley is not allowed an

2:45:27 earned run.

2:45:29 I'll tell you what, this isn't a 2026

2:45:31 thing. Yes, he's got 10 and two third

2:45:33 innings this year without allowing an

2:45:35 earned run. That makes it 28 straight

2:45:38 innings pitched going back to last year

2:45:40 without allowing an earned run.

2:45:42 >> Yeah, you see he's still got the earned

2:45:43 run average at zero this season, leading

2:45:46 the Banana Ball Championship League.

2:45:48 Hosley [music] just tremendous all

2:45:50 around. the highest strikeout rate in

2:45:52 Banana Ball this season. But

2:45:55 interestingly enough, he did not have a

2:45:57 strikeout against the party animals last

2:45:59 night as he picked up the save. And

2:46:01 there's no team that has hit him better

2:46:03 in 2026 than the guys wearing black and

2:46:06 pink.

2:46:06 >> And the Animals have already used their

2:46:08 golden batters. They'll have Skull, TJ

2:46:10 Reeves, and Jason Swan. Skull four ball

2:46:14 four sprints in this game. TJ Reeves two

2:46:17 for three, a double, and a home run.

2:46:20 Jason Swan, one for two, a double and a

2:46:23 ball for Sprint. The most dangerous part

2:46:25 of the lineup you could face in this

2:46:26 moment against the best pitcher in the

2:46:28 sport.

2:46:29 >> That's exactly why you look back at the

2:46:31 eighth inning. What a great decision by

2:46:33 Mike Pasis to insert Jake Skull leading

2:46:35 off that eighth inning. And you saw

2:46:37 Skull after the long fly out to end last

2:46:40 night's game when he was representing

2:46:42 the game-winning run at the dish.

2:46:45 He told his teammates, "I just missed

2:46:47 it. I just missed walking this game off

2:46:51 and now he's [music] got a two- count.

2:46:55 Bouncer Cox over to first. One down and

2:46:59 we are two outs away from free banana

2:47:02 ball

2:47:04 in truest park.

2:47:15 It feels [music] like this series

2:47:17 deserves showdowns, but the party

2:47:20 animals bats will have something to say

2:47:21 about it. 126 curveball strike one to TJ

2:47:24 Reeves. A homer, his last time to the

2:47:26 dish.

2:47:28 And a screamer into left. His third hit

2:47:31 of the ball game. He is a triple away

2:47:33 from the cycle.

2:47:35 That guy can hit the heck out of a ball.

2:47:37 Son of a gun.

2:47:38 >> Yep. Rookie man. Just got a pro bat.

2:47:41 >> Leading the team in batting average

2:47:43 coming in, hitting 359.

2:47:45 That will go up significantly.

2:47:47 >> Five of his first 14 games this season

2:47:49 have been multi-hit contests. It is

2:47:51 unbelievable how consistent TJ Reeves

2:47:54 has been for this offense. Mark Smith,

2:47:56 the designated runner at first base as

2:47:59 the fast ball just misses to Swan

2:48:00 >> again. Swan already one extra base hit

2:48:02 today.

2:48:05 >> Double back in the second. Came around

2:48:07 to score the inning winning run as that

2:48:10 one just clips the top of the zone.

2:48:16 Check on Smith.

2:48:17 >> Is Swan hard to fool? Just four

2:48:19 strikeouts in his 73 played appearances,

2:48:22 >> but two of them have come this weekend.

2:48:24 >> Yep.

2:48:27 >> That's a heck of a cut from Swan trying

2:48:30 to unload.

2:48:35 It's a low 90s fast ball from Hosley.

2:48:37 The Vulcan change up is the best pitch

2:48:39 in the history of the sport. It's got

2:48:41 the curveball to keep you honest.

2:48:44 goes to the change. Swan wise to it.

2:48:47 Another great play back there by

2:48:48 Gresafi.

2:48:55 Huge two- two pitch coming.

2:48:59 THAT BALL BLASTED OUT TO LEFT CENTER

2:49:02 FIELD. SMITH around second. ALEXI TO THE

2:49:06 BALL. Smith around third. JASON SWAN

2:49:09 wins it for the party animals as they

2:49:12 take the series in Atlanta

2:49:15 [cheering]

2:49:17 all the way to the wall. What a scene.

2:49:21 THE FIRST EARNED RUN DANNY HOSNY HAS

2:49:23 GIVEN UP ALL season long.

2:49:28 The veteran JASON SWAN PLAYS HERO in a

2:49:32 town.

2:49:38 And not only is it a series win for the

2:49:40 Party Animals, it is a series win in

2:49:43 their first ever headlining series in a

2:49:46 big league ballpark. WHAT A PHENOMENAL

2:49:49 VICTORY from the Party Animals. Rex

2:49:52 Castillo,

2:49:53 >> Jason Swan, that is the first earned run

2:49:55 Danny Hosley has given up this season.

2:49:56 How did you do it?

2:49:58 >> Oh man, just staying to the sticking

2:50:00 with their approach all game long and it

2:50:02 pays off. Keep it going. Baby PA for L.

2:50:05 PA for L. Go ahead and celebrate.

2:50:08 >> The boys will dance in the middle of the

2:50:11 field

2:50:13 here at Truest Park.

2:50:16 The game of Banana Ball [music] has

2:50:18 never played a three-game series in a

2:50:20 Major League Baseball stadium or

2:50:22 football complex.

2:50:26 In the first weekend

2:50:28 with this much banana ball action, the

2:50:31 party animals take a monumental win

2:50:35 garner momentum for the defending

2:50:37 champions who've been below 500 for a

2:50:40 majority of 2026.

2:50:43 And they ensure that the Savannah

2:50:44 Bananas have now lost lost five of their

2:50:47 last six.

2:50:50 as the boys in yellow look on from their

2:50:52 dugout and watch as the animals

2:50:55 celebrate.

2:50:56 [music]

2:50:56 >> Now, losses in seven of their last nine

2:50:59 games when you go back to the open final

2:51:01 for the bananas, but let's focus back on

2:51:04 the party animals. Rex,

2:51:06 >> it took a rookie to do it, but TJ Reeves

2:51:08 comes through in the biggest way. This

2:51:10 [music] was your headliner. It was your

2:51:12 headliner. You needed to win this game.

2:51:14 They were fighting up putting you guys

2:51:16 up against the wall. How does it feel to

2:51:17 get this win?

2:51:18 >> Man, it feels amazing. And anytime we

2:51:19 get to play the bananas, you know, we're

2:51:21 going to bring it. But, uh, it feels

2:51:22 amazing just to come out here in Atlanta

2:51:24 at the Braves Park and put on the show

2:51:25 in front of these fans. I mean, this is

2:51:27 what we do it for.

2:51:27 >> The rookie has a veteran bat and a

2:51:29 presence at the plate. Let's send it

2:51:30 back to you.

2:51:31 >> Thank you very much, Mr. Castillo. TJ

2:51:33 Reeves.

2:51:35 What a rookie. The sixth round draft

2:51:37 pick for the Party Animals. Three for

2:51:40 four, a triple shy of the cycle

2:51:43 >> and comes through in the clutch. He has

2:51:46 the home run that starts the seventh

2:51:47 inning rally. The Bananas could have

2:51:49 jumped ahead 3-2. Instead, the Party

2:51:51 Animals did exactly that. And then he

2:51:54 has the single that sets up the series

2:51:56 winning walk-off from Swan.

2:51:58 >> A day two draft pick. And how crucial

2:52:00 has he been to the Party Animals? The

2:52:02 aforementioned leader on the team in

2:52:04 batting average was incredible again.

2:52:07 >> Yeah. And you saw TJ Reeves, who was the

2:52:09 showman of the game in Yankee Stadium in

2:52:11 the day game in that series finale. Now,

2:52:14 the same can be said here in Atlanta

2:52:16 today. An unbelievable performance from

2:52:18 the Party Animals this weekend. And the

2:52:21 Bananas falling now to five and five.

2:52:23 [music] Just an even record when playing

2:52:26 as the away team this season. And for

2:52:28 Party Animals fans out there, you have

2:52:30 to love seeing your rookie TJ Reeves

2:52:33 upping his level of play against the

2:52:36 mainstay in the sport. As we welcome you

2:52:38 back inside the booth with Josh Tlesky,

2:52:40 the statistical savant of the sport.

2:52:42 Drake told the voice of the party

2:52:43 animals. I am Bo Scala. Your closing

2:52:46 thoughts, Drake, after this momentous

2:52:47 weekend.

2:52:48 >> Well, what a happy Mother's DAY THAT

2:52:49 WAS, BOYS. HUH? I LIKE THAT one a whole

2:52:51 lot. Look, going into Indianapolis next

2:52:53 weekend for the Party Animals. This is

2:52:54 the kind of win you need as you're going

2:52:56 to face the Clowns who are the back half

2:52:57 of the Banana Ball Championship League

2:52:59 standings. Momentum. I keep using that

2:53:01 word key for the Black and Pink.

2:53:03 >> And for the Bananas, they stop the

2:53:05 losing streak, but can't win the series.

2:53:07 >> Yeah. And you just wish that they had

2:53:08 gotten better pitching in the first half

2:53:10 of this ball game. Not only did you see

2:53:11 them lose some points, but it also lost

2:53:14 out on the equalizer point in this

2:53:16 contest as well, which really could have

2:53:18 paid some dividends here in the late

2:53:19 stages of this contest. Nonetheless, the

2:53:21 Bananas fortunately getting a home

2:53:23 series next weekend in Savannah,

2:53:26 Georgia, as they'll try and straighten

2:53:27 things out. Thank you very much for

2:53:29 spending your afternoon with us here in

2:53:31 virtual Banana Land. What a weekend it

2:53:33 was. The first ever 9game weekend in

2:53:35 Banana Ball history and a heck of a

2:53:37 victory for those party animals. A big

2:53:39 thank you to our entire cast and crew as

2:53:42 I get a good and plenty right off the

2:53:44 dome. Shout out Zack Bro off camera. Uh

2:53:46 let's talk about our folks in Savannah.

2:53:48 Chris Haynes, our director, and

2:53:49 everybody in the control room. Superb

2:53:51 work. And for all our folks here in

2:53:54 Atlanta, our producer Chad Ree, our

2:53:56 executive producer, Mr. Josh Richardson,

2:53:58 our guy down on the field, Rex Castillo,

2:54:01 our man in the booth next to us, Joseé

2:54:02 Cheto Bonitez, bringing this broadcast

2:54:05 in Spanish. And a goodbye to Sophia

2:54:07 Peach. for now a legendary member of

2:54:10 BTV, the greatest highome camera woman

2:54:13 we have ever had. For Josh Tvki, Drake

2:54:15 Tol, I am Bo Scala saying so long for

2:54:18 now. We'll have more banana ball for you

2:54:20 this coming Thursday night. UNTIL THEN,

2:54:23 DRAKE, PARTY ON. And we will see you

2:54:25 later.

2:54:40 It's just a focus.
