📝 Full transcript (3944 segments)
0:00 bump. The defense would continue there
0:02 as Princess JB Jordan Barf manning the
0:05 hot corner still at the dish. What do we
0:07 got here? Oh man. Dive and grab behind
0:10 the back transfer. Book it. The first
0:13 trick play in the young career of the
0:15 August Stan a standout in [music] Jordan
0:18 Bart. But then the bats would inevitably
0:20 come around as the first home run of
0:22 2026 comes off the bat of Travis Mano,
0:25 the first home run in a football
0:26 stadium. And then he told us how he
0:28 felt.
0:30 You just hit a home run in front of
0:32 60,000 people. How do you feel?
0:34 >> Well, Brett, plain and simple, I'm the
0:36 best there ever is. I mean, I wake up in
0:38 the morning and I It's excellent. I'm
0:42 I'm a big carrot American winning
0:44 machine. If you ain't first or last,
0:50 >> bro. We went to Frisco and the Texas
0:53 Tailgator finally unveiled their
0:56 official mascot. The cowboy wearing big
0:59 old green alligator himself who's going
1:03 to steal every piece of meat that you
1:05 have at your tailgate, Grub the Gator.
1:08 And that weekend in Frisco was special
1:11 because [music] then we played the Loco
1:13 Beach Coconuts and our captain does
1:15 this. Fiverr, Jordan Hussein, the Texas
1:18 kid, a diving grab as the tailgator
1:21 would be tied up all at two apiece. And
1:24 Fiverr out there making web gems just as
1:26 he does so very, very, very often for
1:29 the boys in blue and orange. And then
1:31 golden batter, Eric Osberg.
1:34 Magic can't happen twice, but Jordan
1:36 Hussein can. And then after the
1:39 defensive prows, trailing by one point,
1:42 going to the bottom of the ninth, who do
1:43 the tailgator call on? The tailgator's
1:46 golden batter, Kyle K. Martins.
1:52 Who else would you want in the biggest
1:54 moment to this point of the tailgator
1:56 season? Down by one point in the bottom
1:59 of the ninth. Backs against the wall
2:01 against CJ Williams.
2:03 One and0.
2:05 Big on big.
2:09 [screaming] Kmart out to left field. TA
2:12 going back at the fence. It's gone. It's
2:16 gone. It's gone. Kyle Martin's first
2:19 home run in the sport ties us up at
2:22 three apiece. Well, would you rather it
2:25 be [cheering]
2:31 [cheering]
2:34 an oppo taco [screaming]
2:36 the first earn run CJ Williams has ever
2:39 conceded.
2:42 This is banana [screaming] ball.
2:45 >> The moment never too big in the ninth,
2:47 but what about in showdowns? [music] CJ
2:49 Williams, Nick Lopez. Bottom of round
2:52 number one. How would it end?
2:57 Li over the head of Gideon Antel. It's
3:00 going to roll for a while. Gideon's got
3:03 good wheels. Get on your horse, Lope.
3:05 Get on your horse. Antel finally gets to
3:08 it. Lopez on third and 80 great arm
3:11 sells over the head. Tailgator win.
3:14 Tailgator win. Tailgator win. Nick Lopez
3:18 walks it off. Four to three. And we are
3:21 so back in the Lone Star State.
3:25 >> After going four and four over their
3:27 final eight games heading into the
3:29 Banana Ball Open, something caught fire
3:33 within the Texas Tailgator and
3:35 specifically their 33-year-old superstar
3:37 Kyle Martin. in game one against the
3:40 >> quarter for the Texas tailgator and
3:41 Kmart sends what deep center field
3:46 with another long ball. Welcome to the
3:49 action here in the banana ball open.
3:52 >> First of two home runs for [music] Kmart
3:53 in the open and then Sunshine provided
3:56 us the play of the year.
3:57 >> Mason Maxwell hard hit Sunny times out.
4:00 Trick play. Oh, it's a double trick
4:03 play. Is that the play of the year?
4:06 Jonathan Sunshine Loaders lays out
4:09 between the legs bucket throws it to
4:11 first. Taylor Justice between the legs
4:14 bucket.
4:15 >> That was psychotic.
4:17 >> This is banana ball.
4:20 >> And from arguably the play of the year
4:22 to the play that helped win the
4:24 tailgator the equalizer [music]
4:26 point and win the ball game on Friday
4:28 night.
4:28 >> McDow over to J5 between the legs and
4:32 it's the equalizer point for the
4:34 tailgator. Double trick play.
4:36 >> Book it. Book it. And just like that,
4:39 the Texas Tailgator off the backs of the
4:42 Texas kid and Taylor Justice win the
4:45 equalizer point is vitally important.
4:49 >> With a win on Friday night against the
4:50 Firefighters, the Tailgator faced off in
4:52 game one of the Banana Ball Open
4:54 Championship against those Savannah
4:56 Bananas. And how about a start to it
4:58 from Jordan Hussein. A little bucket
5:01 there on a 6463
5:03 double play. You've never seen anything
5:05 like that in your entire life. And then
5:07 we hadn't seen this yet this year
5:09 either. Jordan Bart hits his first home
5:12 run in his banana ball career in route
5:14 to putting the Tailgator up two points
5:17 to none there in the third inning.
5:20 Feeling really good about those boys in
5:21 blue and orange. Now let's feel a little
5:23 bit better. Eighth inning, [music] need
5:24 three trick plays to win the equalizer
5:26 point. Book it. That is now 13 to 12 in
5:30 the trick play category. Bouncer, Taylor
5:32 Justice, tough play. Joe Baron loses the
5:34 cowboy hat. Book it yet again. 13 trick
5:37 plays a piece to get the final out of
5:38 the inning. Taylor Justice bounces it
5:41 off the turf like LaMelo. And that's how
5:43 the Tailgators win the equalizer point.
5:45 And then here's how they won the ball
5:47 game with the game on the line.
5:52 Highf fly ball deep out to right center
5:54 field. [cheering] Watson on his horse.
5:56 He doesn't get there as it bangs off the
5:58 wall. Ty Jackson [cheering] will score
6:01 easily. Over looking for three bases.
6:04 He's out. Perfect relay by Jordan
6:06 Hussein. [cheering]
6:07 Fantastic deep by Jordan Bar. And the
6:10 Tailgator hang on. 3-2 winners. What do
6:13 you know about that Jordan Jordan
6:15 connection? And the Texas Tailgator come
6:18 in here and upset the namesake of the
6:21 sport to win game one of the first ever
6:25 banana ball [screaming] open.
6:26 >> From a game one victory to winning the
6:29 whole thing the very next day.
6:30 >> Gainers putting this in the hands of
6:32 their allar from a season ago in Nick
6:35 Lopez. The O2
6:38 that's hit well deep out to left.
6:41 Alexiot is on his horse.
6:44 It settles on the warning track. Lopez
6:46 around second.
6:48 Reese gets to [cheering] the ball. Lopez
6:50 around third. [screaming]
6:52 Now relay. Nick Lopez clinches a playoff
6:56 spot for the Texas Tailgator.
6:59 And the boys in blue and orange are
7:02 going to get a playoff spot. Six points
7:05 early.
7:06 N Lopez, the man who won all the
7:10 showdowns last year for the Tailgator,
7:12 comes up in the biggest spot of his
7:14 banana career. We'll see you in October.
7:18 We just never gave up, man. You in the
7:20 locker room, we're talking. We're going
7:22 to beat these guys. They got us last
7:24 year and the first couple games this
7:26 year, but we never gave up. That's the
7:28 difference. And from one historic moment
7:30 to another, the first ever popup game in
7:32 Banana Ball history at Navasota High
7:33 School in front of a thousand people.
7:35 The Texas Tailgator Savannah Bananas and
7:37 Kyle Markin welcomes you to the auction
7:40 as he hits a two-run blast in the first
7:42 inning that walks it off for the Texas
7:44 Tailgator, putting them up one to
7:46 nothing. What about Jonathan Sunshine
7:49 Lutters, the inventor of the foot
7:51 volley? 1 2 3 4 5 6 seven times Sunny
7:57 goes off the legs and the [music] feet
7:59 to give you a trick play that you've
8:01 never seen before. Hopefully you'll see
8:03 it again, but you will never ever ever
8:05 forget it. Sunny does that and then his
8:09 counterpart up the middle does this.
8:11 Jordan Hussein, the captain of the Texas
8:14 Tailgator, a behind the back book it as
8:18 the 10th trick play of the night. And
8:20 while on the microphone too, Jordan
8:22 Hussein pulls out a special one to end
8:24 the ball game. The team who's just so
8:26 trickery and the tailgator gets their
8:27 15th and final trick play to defeat the
8:30 Savannah Bananas 5 to nothing at
8:31 Navasota High School in Banana Ball's
8:33 first ever pop-up game. From history to
8:36 history Saturday, the biggest banana
8:38 ball game ever. 102,000 people. Chris
8:41 Clark strikes out dude perfect Tyler
8:43 Tony at Kyle Field on the campus of
8:46 Texas A&M in the top of the second
8:48 inning to conclude matters. What a
8:50 special moment that was for CC and those
8:53 [music] boys in blue and orange.
8:56 And then Jordan Hussein
8:58 ball for a sprint. Typical ball for a
9:01 sprint you'd think. No. Throw cells in
9:03 the outfield. Fiverrs made it to second.
9:05 He's getting to third. Aaron throw comes
9:07 back in the infield. Where's Jordan
9:09 Hussein going? He's going home and home
9:12 now Fiverr. That would end up putting
9:14 the Tailgator in a spot to go up four to
9:15 nothing and then to try and win the ball
9:18 game.
9:18 >> Tailgator winning the banana ball
9:20 opening clutch in a playoff spot six
9:21 months early.
9:26 >> Jose Gonzalez
9:29 puts it away
9:33 of all time.
9:38 The boys from the Longar State head
9:40 north for the first time ever to
9:42 headline a series [music] in the Sooner
9:44 State. We put aside the Red River
9:46 rivalry this weekend as the 6 and10
9:48 Indianapolis Clouds tussle with the 8
9:51 and8 Texas Tailgator here in Tulsa,
9:54 Oklahoma. Two of the best storms [music]
9:56 in the sport in our beautiful, beautiful
9:58 Tulsa, Oklahoma one ballpark battle
10:00 tonight. Clowns righthander David
10:02 Griffin against Banana [music] Ball's
10:03 April Pitcher of the Month, Brett
10:05 Sanchez.
10:07 Come on in the booth and stay a while.
10:13 For the first time ever, the Tailgator
10:16 headlining a series outside of Texas.
10:19 I'm Brett Loft, voice of the Texas
10:21 Tailgator. So pleasure to be joined by
10:22 you this evening, wherever you're
10:24 watching from here on the Texas
10:25 Tailgator YouTube channel. For the first
10:27 time ever last weekend, the Texas
10:29 Tailgator swept those Savannah Bananas
10:31 and are on a threegame winning streak.
10:34 The smallest banana ball game of all
10:36 time, the biggest banana ball game of
10:38 all time. And you know, I'm real big on
10:40 As You Go about reliving great memories.
10:43 So why why don't we do that right now?
10:46 Starting off at Navasota High School,
10:48 the smallest Banana Ball game ever.
10:50 Banana Ball's first ever [music] popup.
10:52 Welcome to the auction. Kyle Martin
10:53 showed up at the popup and in a very,
10:55 very, very big way. Bottom of the
10:56 [music] first, two-run yaya. Kmart put
10:59 the boys in blue and orange up one to
11:01 nothing early. And then Indiana [music]
11:03 Stanley said
11:05 trick play. Book it. Half a tornado. And
11:08 it's so good. We got to see it twice.
11:10 Look at it one more time for Mr.
11:12 Stanley. A trick play he's patented
11:14 [music] so so, so well. Jordan Bar,
11:16 five, four, three. Double play. Double
11:19 book it as well. Putting the tailgator
11:22 up in trick plays. Nine to five. Not
11:24 talking about Dolly Parton. And then
11:26 Kyle Martin, [music] slide of the year.
11:28 Perhaps his first stolen base in our
11:30 sport at 33 years old. Still got a ton
11:32 of [music] athletic ability left. And
11:34 Mr. Martin as he stole second would lead
11:37 to another point. And actually a five to
11:39 nothing victory for those Texas
11:41 Tailgator shut out of the Savannah
11:43 Bananas. They did score one run, but no
11:45 points. Only the second time ever the
11:47 Tailgator have shut out their opponent.
11:49 That's going back to Starkville,
11:50 Mississippi last year when they beat the
11:52 Party Animals two to nothing. Who was
11:54 our showman? [music] and it was none
11:55 other than my good friend Stank Stank.
11:58 With his performance against those
11:59 bananas, [music] Brett Sanchez earned
12:01 himself the April pitcher of the month
12:03 against six scoreless innings, five
12:04 strikeouts, 10 trick plays induced, as
12:07 well as a trick pitch strikeout. And as
12:09 always, thank you, thank you, thank you,
12:12 thank you, thank you as we'll see Brett
12:14 Sanchez [music] tonight on the bump as
12:16 well. What about the biggest, the
12:18 largest banana ball game of all time
12:20 played at Kyle Field, home of the
12:22 Texas&M football team. A facility
12:24 [music] that's been around for a
12:26 century. A facility that again seats
12:28 102,000
12:30 people. And the tailgators will yet
12:32 again win the first inning. [music] A
12:34 Taylor Justice Walkoff, his sixth of the
12:35 year. He would get his seventh of the
12:37 year later in that ball game. He leads
12:39 the BBCL in that category. [music] Chris
12:41 Clark induces ground ball. Jordan bar
12:43 book it. Princess J being so good over
12:46 there at the hot corner and then smokes
12:49 one deep left field about 105 off the
12:52 bat. Just got over that 50ft net. Jordan
12:55 Bar first regular season career banana
12:57 ball home run. Second, I [music] should
12:58 say second career regular season banana
13:01 ball home run and put the tailgator up
13:02 three to nothing at that point. Jonathan
13:04 [music] Sunshine Lutters on a unicycle
13:08 almost sends one out of there. It's only
13:10 185 to left. Sunny with a single, his
13:12 fourth hit on the unicycle [music] in
13:14 2026 and a 4 to3 victory for the boys in
13:17 blue and orange as Jose Gonzalez made
13:19 the final out [music] there in shallow
13:22 center field 16-7. The tailgator the
13:25 best trick play team in Banana continued
13:26 that last Saturday at Kyle Field. But
13:29 who was the best player that night on
13:30 the diamond? It was nonetheless than
13:32 Grand Rich, Florida's [music] finest,
13:33 Mack Danford. Grand Ridge, Florida. If
13:36 you look at the 2026, their population
13:39 is about 800 to 900 people. You could
13:41 have fit Grand Ridge, Florida 100 times
13:43 over into College Station at Kyle Field
13:46 last weekend. And the man who shined the
13:48 most on the biggest stage, M. Danford.
13:51 He's been leading the charge for these
13:53 tailgators [music] who've been riding
13:54 rather high. I I mean, you look at last
13:56 weekend, if you've seen our banana ball
13:58 power rankings that came out this week,
14:00 the Tailgators are number one. And for a
14:01 big reason, because of why they swept
14:03 those Savannah bananas. The first time
14:05 ever they swept those Savannah [music]
14:07 bananas. Only the third sweep in the
14:09 history of the Tailgators. They're on a
14:10 three-game winning streak. [music] The
14:12 first time the Texas Tailgators have
14:13 ever done that in their young history.
14:16 And then record-breakers. Won the
14:17 smallest game in Banana Ball history.
14:19 Just a thousand people. A pop-up game at
14:21 Navasota High [music] School. And then
14:22 the biggest the largest banana ball game
14:24 of all time. 102,000 people at Kyle
14:27 Field. Those tailgators riding high
14:30 coming in here to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Let's
14:32 toss it down the field. The clowns
14:34 clowning around.
14:36 >> It elevated the crew. Yeah, we had
14:37 everything and wonder. Well, what else
14:39 could we do? But little did we know show
14:41 business was the [music] ride we
14:42 pursued.
14:42 >> Yeah, the Negro League. Well, it fell in
14:44 the game. So, we began another show. It
14:46 sounded great. And we played and turned
14:49 us to diamond into a st. Yeah. Where we
14:51 stayed to entertain and change the game
14:53 in ways we couldn't explain.
15:00 But the road ends here. No more playing
15:02 shadow ball where the ball disappears.
15:03 The G was 1989 and it became unclear
15:06 with the clowns ever reappear.
15:12 In 1989
15:16 they disappeared
15:18 and now they're back.
15:21 Tulsa, Oklahoma.
15:23 Please welcome back the original
15:26 baseball circus, the Indianapolis
15:29 Clowns. [screaming and groaning]
15:43 Yeah. Who else messing with the clowns
15:45 been around? You know how we get down
15:48 coming through the crowd trying to get
15:49 you loud. It's about time that we
15:52 reintroducing what we working with. Let
15:54 me see your hands if you're repping the
15:56 Annapolis.
15:59 Yeah, we backing even better. Players
16:01 flipping through the air and don't you
16:02 dare try to catch us. Only catches that
16:04 we making is the ball hitting the
16:06 leather. Now you out. Bring them out.
16:08 Next hitter better step up. And stepping
16:10 up is all we know. We're placed under
16:12 the pressure. It's resilience. Do you
16:14 feel this? Can't nobody do it better,
16:16 man. Y'all, we've been gone way too
16:18 long, but we back and that's a fact. We
16:21 the clowns and we home.
16:26 >> Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.
16:37 [singing]
16:51 Shine
16:53 from the starsal
17:20 I won't believe it.
17:47 Magic.
17:58 [music]
18:11 Oh yeah.
18:17 So don't forget who you are.
18:24 [music]
18:26 >> How cool is this? Shadow Ball returning
18:30 to the Sooner State
18:33 where the Tatown Clowns used to play
18:36 back in the day. The Decor Leaks having
18:38 such a heavy presence here in the great
18:41 state of Oklahoma. It's just as cool the
18:43 tailgator playing their first headliner
18:45 outside of the Allstar State as it is
18:47 that these Indianapolis Clowns, a
18:49 barntorming team revived here and our
18:52 beautiful sport of anatal getting
18:53 returned back to the great state of
18:55 Oklahoma. Speaking of Banana Ball, let's
18:58 look at those 11 glorious rules of our
19:00 sport.
19:03 >> Banana Ball is the fastest and most
19:05 entertaining show in sports. And the 11
19:08 rules guarantee the most fans first
19:10 experience every second.
19:12 >> Unbelievable.
19:13 >> Welcome to the Banana Bowl Championship
19:15 League.
19:16 >> Rule number one, win the inning, win the
19:18 point. The team that scores the most
19:20 runs in an inning wins the point. It's a
19:23 walk-off winner to the deepest hole in
19:25 [cheering] the field.
19:26 >> Oh my goodness.
19:27 >> With the equalizer point, trick plays
19:30 provide the away team an opportunity to
19:32 earn a point going into the final
19:33 inning. And in the final inning, every
19:36 run counts as a point. Rule number two,
19:39 banana ball has a 2hour time limit,
19:41 guaranteeing that every game is
19:44 fast-paced and action-packed. Rule
19:46 number three, no stepping out of the
19:48 batter's box. If you do, it will result
19:50 in a strike. stepped out of the box. And
19:53 because he stepped out of the box,
19:54 that's it.
19:55 >> Rule number four, no bunting. [music]
19:57 Cuz bunting sucks. If you bunt, you'll
20:00 be thrown out of the game. Rule number
20:02 five, batters can steal first base.
20:04 >> Ball three, get you taken off for first
20:06 throw from Leroy in time.
20:09 >> Rule number six, there's no [music]
20:11 walks. Walks are ball force sprints. The
20:14 batter can advance as far as they want
20:16 until every position player touches the
20:18 ball. No defenders have touched the
20:21 banana ball. It is a four base spread to
20:24 open up the ball game.
20:25 >> Rule number seven,
20:27 >> no mound visits.
20:29 >> Nope. Rule number eight, foul balls
20:32 caught by a fan count as an out.
20:34 >> Oh, they missed. They did. They can't.
20:39 We're going to show
20:40 >> rule number nine, the showdowns. In
20:43 showdowns, the best of the best face
20:45 [music] off in the biggest moment. One
20:47 hitter verse one pitcher with one
20:49 fielder behind him and the hitter has to
20:52 score
20:52 >> deep to right center. See you later.
20:57 Rule number 10, the banana ball
20:58 challenge role gives the coaches and you
21:01 the fans a chance to impact a call on
21:03 the field. [cheering] Rule number 11,
21:06 the golden batter. Once a game, each
21:08 team can give any player in a bat,
21:11 regardless of the lineup. This offers
21:13 the biggest matchups on the biggest
21:15 stage. Big on big
21:17 >> tamer. It's gone. It's gone. It's gone.
21:21 >> Get out of here ball. That thing had a
21:24 family. [screaming]
21:26 And those are the rules of banana ball.
21:35 The 11 glorious rules of our sport of
21:37 banana ball. And perhaps one of the best
21:40 things about this sport, trick plays.
21:43 And the Tailgator have been the very
21:45 best at that here in [music] 2026,
21:47 leading the Banana Ball Championship
21:49 League with 181 of them. Who else has
21:51 been really good? The man who's second
21:52 in the league individually, Jordan
21:54 Hussein with 40 of them. He caught up
21:56 with our own Mary Mattie Warren earlier
21:58 today.
22:02 >> I have to say the reason that I have
22:04 been so excited for my first Texas
22:05 Tailgator game is so I got the chance to
22:07 talk to this guy right here, Jordan
22:09 Hussein. Jordan, you guys win the Banana
22:11 Ball Championship League Open a couple
22:12 weeks ago. You win the smallest Banana
22:15 Ball game in history. You win the
22:16 largest Banana Ball game in history.
22:18 Everything's firing on all cylinders.
22:21 What has developed for this team that
22:22 has made you guys so dominant to start
22:24 this season?
22:25 >> I think uh winning the Open really
22:26 helped us. We already had a loose team
22:28 uh locker room wise and winning the Open
22:30 really kind of loosened us up a little
22:32 bit more. So now we're trying to just
22:33 break a bunch of records. We're trying
22:34 to be first at everything we do. Um we
22:36 want to be the first team to get six
22:37 trick plays in one inning. We want to
22:39 be, you know, we want to do a lot of
22:40 first here in Banana Ball. So,
22:42 >> now I want to talk about those trick
22:43 plays because again, obviously, you guys
22:45 won the Banana Ball Championship League
22:46 Open. You're set to go to the playoffs
22:49 come October. I was talking to Brett
22:51 Sanchez after the tournament and he
22:53 said, "Yeah, we're just trying to rip as
22:54 many trick plays as possible. You guys
22:57 are set to be the first team to break
22:58 200 trick plays this season." What is
23:01 kind of that mentality and how are you
23:02 guys playing loose to make sure that
23:04 that happens knowing that you can still
23:06 compete but you're going to be at the
23:07 playoffs in October?
23:08 >> I think I've said this before, but the
23:09 norm in our locker room is just to rip
23:11 trick plays on every single ground ball,
23:12 not just routine ground balls. We try to
23:14 push ourselves and we have a really
23:16 competitive team, so everybody's trying
23:17 to compete with each other. And now that
23:18 we've kind of secured our playoff spot,
23:20 everybody's just trying to run up
23:21 numbers and give the fans what they
23:23 want. So,
23:23 >> like I said, I'm really excited to see
23:25 it in person. And Brett, I think this is
23:27 going to be the first of many this
23:28 weekend, but uh gator up.
23:30 >> Gator up 200.
23:34 >> Gator up indeed. Fiverr and Matty
23:37 Warren. And now down on the field, it's
23:39 the home run hitter.
23:42 >> Make some noise. Bakers rounding first.
23:48 The Clouds can't handle the ball.
23:53 >> [cheering]
23:55 >> The ball goes into left.
23:58 >> Baker's on his hobby horse. There's a
24:00 play at the plate. [cheering]
24:02 He's He's safe.
24:06 [cheering]
24:19 Beautiful,
24:33 beautiful, beautiful home run hitter
24:36 right there, huh? Guy had some wheels
24:37 here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Indianapolis
24:40 Clowns, the Texas Tailgator. You know,
24:42 we've harped a lot on these boys in blue
24:44 and orange tonight, but what about those
24:46 clowns? What have they been up to? Well,
24:48 they play five straight games against
24:51 those firefighters, including last
24:52 weekend in Richmond, VA. Let's take a
24:55 look at what happened when they face the
24:57 boys in red and black for yet another
25:00 weekend. Lamar Sparks
25:04 two-run, excuse me, an RBI double off
25:06 the fence made it one to nothing.
25:08 Firefighters Kirkland Banks smokes one
25:11 down the line. Tell you what, KB has
25:12 been on fire at the dish here. recent
25:15 continue that hot streak with an RBI
25:17 double in the top of the third. Jackie
25:19 Bradley Jr. You heard of that guy a time
25:21 or two? Yeah, you sure have. He is one
25:23 of the MVP candidates right now and
25:25 obviously we came to expect that when
25:26 he's taken number one overall in the
25:27 Banana Ball player draft. Mason Maxwell
25:30 up the middle. This would start the
25:32 comeback of the bottom of the third
25:33 inning. Plating the first run of the
25:35 inning and then a ball for sprint would
25:37 plate yet another one there for those
25:39 five fighters. Whole time Fisher Poly
25:40 Dorf on the mic in the booth. Eli Payton
25:42 miked up at third [music]
25:44 and then Jackie Bradley Jr. high in the
25:47 sky left field the hometown guy in
25:49 Richmond VA
25:52 inside out oppo taco while his own madre
25:56 his mother walking down to the field
25:58 would later speak with Matty Warren and
26:00 what a cool moment that was for the
26:01 Bradley family in their hometown of
26:03 Richmond Virginia. Top of the six. Ball
26:06 four sprint lead to another run there
26:08 for those clowns who already head two to
26:10 one in that ball game would put them
26:13 ahead 3 to1. They'd end up leading four
26:14 to two in the ninth. And that's [music]
26:16 how things concluded. Eli Payeyton made
26:18 a great grab and the Indianapolis Clowns
26:21 taking game two in Richmond, Virginia.
26:26 Showing of the ball game. It's the
26:28 hometown guy, Jackie Bradley Jr. How
26:31 blessed are we that he's in our sport?
26:34 And I tell you what, just an incredible,
26:36 incredible game. There you see again,
26:39 Savin Texas. No, IND Indianapolis Clowns
26:42 and the Firefighters as Jackie Bradley
26:44 Jr. that two run home run in the fifth
26:46 was a golden batter single in the ninth.
26:48 Out trick play, the firefighters [music]
26:50 still did, but however, a win for those
26:53 clowns. So coming in not on a winning
26:55 streak, but a little bit of hot streak
26:56 after that win over the firefighters.
26:59 How about where we're playing at this
27:00 [music] weekend? One Oak Field in
27:03 beautiful Tulsa, Oklahoma. A ballpark
27:05 that's been around since [music] 2010.
27:08 I mean, just an incredible, incredible,
27:10 incredible scenes here. Banana Ball is
27:12 returning to this place. They were here
27:14 3 years ago. And actually, this is a
27:16 reason we have challenges at Tulsa,
27:18 Oklahoma. A very controversial call late
27:20 in that ball game against the
27:21 firefighters. An incident between Eric
27:23 Jones Jr. and our very own dancing
27:25 umpire Vincent Chapman. And after that,
27:27 we decided the very next weekend that we
27:30 needed banana ball challenge [music]
27:31 rules. And therefore, we have them. And
27:33 we return here three years later. Two
27:35 teams that ceased to exist in banana
27:36 ball at that time. And how cool is this?
27:38 The clowns and the tailgators able to
27:40 come back here and play. The first game,
27:42 banana ball game I should say, in three
27:44 years here at the beautiful, beautiful
27:45 one Oak Field in front of 11,000 people
27:49 here in Oak L.
27:53 There's a guy who used to play for the
27:56 Tulsa Drillers who will be playing in
27:58 this ball game here tonight. The
28:00 right-handed pitcher, 6'7, Vinnie
28:02 Sanari. He spoke earlier with Matty
28:05 Warren about being able to return here
28:06 to Tulsa.
28:10 >> I'm down here with Vinnie Santo Sierra
28:12 on some familiar turf for him. Now
28:15 Vinnie, coming to places like Tulsa
28:16 always feels like home for us because of
28:18 guys like you who have spent time on
28:20 these fields and in these cities that we
28:21 come back to. What is it like being back
28:23 in Tulsa from, you know, one stage of
28:25 your life when you spent time with the
28:26 Tulsa Drillers to now at this stage of
28:28 your life with Banana Ball?
28:30 >> Yeah, so Tulsa, man, this was uh this is
28:33 a fun time. This was the closest I got
28:34 to the big leagues doubleA for the
28:35 Dodgers. But uh yeah, being here for
28:37 Banana Ball, it's definitely some
28:39 familiar sites here, but uh super
28:42 excited. This is I mean I'm going be
28:43 honest this is way more fun than than
28:45 doubleA ball but excited to be back in
28:47 Tulsa. This is good time.
28:48 >> Now being a pitcher there's a lot of
28:50 good memories that kind of come with
28:51 your position and different teams that
28:53 you've played on but there's also a lot
28:54 of maybe not so good not so bad memories
28:57 but you were telling me about one memory
28:58 from this field earlier today. Can you
29:00 can you share that with the crowd?
29:01 >> Yes. Yeah. Uh not my not my brightest
29:04 shining moment but I gave up the longest
29:06 home run of my career here. It went over
29:09 the uh the Tulsa sign out there in right
29:12 center field. Um hopefully nothing like
29:14 that happens this weekend, but yeah,
29:16 definitely a memory if nothing else.
29:18 >> You know what? You are going to just be
29:20 sharing some homefield advantage
29:21 knowledge with the rest of the Clowns,
29:22 which should make this weekend really
29:24 interesting. So Brett, I don't know. The
29:25 tailgators might have to watch out a
29:27 little bit, but take it away upstairs.
29:32 >> Thank you, Addie. Thank you, Vinnie.
29:35 Beautiful, beautiful ballpark here.
29:37 Vinnie able to come back home. [music]
29:38 Great great story Vinnie was able to
29:40 tell there about his time here when he's
29:42 in the Dodgers organization and now here
29:44 is an Indianapolis clown as those clowns
29:46 are tied fifth in the Banana Ball
29:49 Championship [music] League standings.
29:50 There you see a game and a half
29:51 separating them from fourth place. Why
29:53 is fourth place so important? Because
29:55 only four teams make the playoffs and
29:57 the Tailgator have already locked in
29:58 their spot there [music] and especially
30:00 making a good way towards that. making
30:02 his way to the mound. My good friend
30:03 Garrett Lampard, get us hyped up.
30:12 >> Ladies,
30:14 gentlemen, boys and girls, and parking
30:18 lot party people from around
30:23 the world.
30:25 Tonight, you and thousands of your
30:28 friends here live. Millions more
30:30 watching at home have gathered to
30:32 witness something that frat boys across
30:35 the country could only ever dream of.
30:39 From parking lots to 80 foot yachts,
30:42 from backyard grills to a stadium that
30:46 thrills the pregamers come from every
30:48 corner of the globe to witness this.
30:52 But this is not baseball. No, this is
30:56 the arena where these two step in.
30:59 Tradition upsetting. Big hit getting
31:02 ball players await the opening of the
31:04 gate to deliver a beatd down to whoever
31:07 lines up across from them. But this is
31:10 not your granddad's pastime. This is not
31:13 just another night at the ballpark. No,
31:15 this game is baseball by birth, but it's
31:18 fruit by name and an absolute worldwide
31:22 phenomenon by the grace of God. So
31:25 [snorts] now is the time for all of you
31:30 here in Tulsa, Oklahoma to get up on
31:35 your feet and give me your voices
31:40 [cheering]
31:42 [screaming]
31:43 because this is the greatest pregame in
31:46 sports and it never ends because this is
31:50 Banana Ball.
31:53 From [cheering]
31:58 the Golden Griller, the starting lineup
32:00 for your Texas tailgator, the designated
32:04 hitter, number nine, Nick Lopez
32:14 in left field. Number two, Zack Watson.
32:25 The extra hitter number 27,
32:28 Kyle Martin.
32:34 At third base, number six, Jordan
32:38 [screaming] Bark.
32:41 At first base, number 85,
32:45 Taylor Justice.
32:50 In right field, number 28, Jose Brother
32:56 Gonzalez. [screaming]
33:00 At second base, number 11, Mac Danford.
33:08 At catcher, number 26, Taj the
33:12 Quadfather Porter.
33:16 in center field. Number seven, Indiana
33:21 Stanley. [screaming]
33:25 At shortstop, number five, Jordan
33:29 Hussein.
33:33 The starting pitcher number 17, Barrett
33:38 Sanchez. [cheering]
33:42 Leading the party and calling the shots,
33:46 the head coach, Joe Mik,
33:51 assisted by coach Penny and coach
33:55 Andrew, father of the tailgate, Bartman.
34:06 Ladies and gentlemen, at this time we
34:10 ask that you please rise if able, remove
34:12 your caps, and join us in honoring
34:15 America with the singing of tonight's
34:17 national anthem. Please welcome to the
34:20 field John Walker.
34:24 Oh, say can you see [singing]
34:29 by the dawn early light,
34:34 what so proudly
34:36 we hail [singing]
34:39 at the twilight
34:41 last gleaming.
34:44 Who's broad stripes and bright stars
34:48 [singing]
34:50 through the perilous
34:53 fight
34:55 or the ramp parts we watch
35:00 were so [singing] gallently
35:03 string
35:06 and the rockets [singing]
35:08 red glare
35:11 the bombs bursting.
35:13 >> [singing]
35:14 >> in air
35:17 gave proof through the night
35:22 that our flag was still [singing] there.
35:29 Oh, say does that star [singing]
35:35 spangled
35:37 banner
35:39 yet wave [singing]
35:45 for the land
35:48 of the free
35:54 and the home
35:57 of The [singing]
36:00 brave
36:06 >> Tulsa. Give it up for John Walker.
36:10 >> How blessed are we in the beautiful year
36:13 of 2026. The Indianapolis Clowns revive.
36:17 The Texas Tailgator on absolute fire.
36:21 And they come here three years later to
36:24 Tulsa, Oklahoma as Banana Ball returns
36:27 to the Sooner State.
36:29 [music]
36:30 >> And the Tailgator, their first ever
36:32 headliner series outside of the great
36:35 state of Texas.
36:38 >> Man,
36:40 couldn't have written it up any better
36:42 myself. Speaking of writing things up,
36:45 how did Joe Mikolik align that defense
36:47 of his here this evening? The boys from
36:51 [music] Texas rolling out the best trick
36:53 play squad on both sides of the
36:55 Mississippi. You see it left the right
36:56 in the outfield. Zack Watson, Indiana
36:58 Stanley, Jose Brother Gonzalez. That
37:00 infield as good as it gets. Jordan Bart,
37:03 Jordan Hussein. It will be Jonathan
37:05 Sunshine Lutters at second base. Not
37:07 Matt Danford Sunshine [music] the
37:09 designated fielder, but he'll play all
37:10 nine innings there at second base.
37:12 Taylor Justice, the most one of the most
37:13 trickery [music] first baseman in the
37:15 game of banana baller at first. Taj
37:17 Porter getting the start behind home
37:19 plate. a 40% Colts stealing rate this
37:22 year for the Quanfather. He [music] has
37:24 been exceptional and again 181 trick
37:27 plays. You see it down there on the
37:28 bottom right of your screen. Leading the
37:30 Banana Ball Championship League. A
37:32 worthy milestone to watch [music] for
37:33 tonight. Tailgator get 19, which would
37:35 put them at 200. It would tie them with
37:36 the 2025 Savannah Bananas [music] as the
37:39 quickest team to 200 trick plays in a
37:41 single banana ball season. Who's the man
37:43 on the bump that can help them get
37:44 there? None other than stank stink, my
37:48 good friend Brett Sanchez, the pride of
37:51 Bell Haven University and Banana Ball's
37:54 April pitcher of the month, thanking us
37:57 all after every single strikeout he
37:59 gets. His numbers exceptional this year.
38:02 The ERA, the best of any pitcher in the
38:04 sport who has made a start in 2026. The
38:07 strikeouts, no matter who you are, leads
38:10 everybody in the Banana Ball
38:11 Championship League. very good NPI, also
38:13 the best on the Texas Tailgator. And
38:15 again, only six ball force sprints. Two
38:18 of those that came against those
38:19 Savannah Bananas last Thursday night in
38:21 Navasota High School at that pop-up
38:23 game. That's State Brett Sanchez,
38:25 arguably the best pitcher not named
38:27 Danny Hosley so far in the Banana Ball
38:29 Championship League. Now, to look at the
38:31 offense he has to face here tonight of
38:33 those Indianapolis Clowns. It starts at
38:35 the top and it doesn't get much easier
38:37 behind that. It's Cowboy Joe Gray Jr.
38:39 leading this lineup off and then you
38:41 look oh Jackie Bradley Jr. oh Bobby Leay
38:43 oh Dell Francis Jr. just a a tetrous
38:47 treacherous treacherous and then Nicole
38:49 has been catching five down there in the
38:51 five hole I mean that is such a tough
38:53 lineup to navigate one through 10 Jackie
38:56 Bradley Jr. in the MVP candidates right
38:58 now. Bobby Leay, strong strong rookie
39:00 shortstop and obviously Nico Hillizer
39:02 who is a seven-year minor leager played
39:05 in the Dodgers organization was one step
39:07 away from playing here for the Drillers.
39:08 Never quite made it to Tulsa though.
39:12 >> And now coach Bart by the grill we
39:15 usually say start the clock, but in
39:18 tailgator country and here in the Sooner
39:21 State, we're gonna say light the grill.
39:23 So help me out on three by saying light
39:25 the grill. Ready? One, two, three.
39:32 >> Showtime. Turn it on. Me neck. Let it
39:34 burn. It's time for Banana Ball here in
39:37 the Sooner State.
39:39 Brett Sanchez, Joe Gray Jr., the revived
39:42 Indianapolis Clowns, the Texas
39:45 Tailgator.
39:47 We get started right at 700 p. p.m.
39:50 Central time here from One Oak Field.
39:54 Cowboy Joe Gray led off the series last
39:57 weekend with a home run against the
39:59 Firefighters.
40:01 >> See, Joe's got on that turtleneck. I
40:03 seen him in the hotel this morning. I
40:04 said, "Joe, I need a turtleneck from you
40:05 tonight." He said, "You got it, big
40:06 fella."
40:08 Pokes it out the rock. Brother Sunny
40:11 colliding on it. Sunshine can't get to
40:13 it. He dove for it. Joe takes a big turn
40:16 at first, but a leadoff single for the
40:17 Clowns.
40:20 now makes it a fivegame hitting streak
40:22 for Cowboy Joe's gotten hit in seven of
40:24 his last eight. Sunshine made a good
40:26 effort at that. Called off brother.
40:29 Usually you'll see the outfielder call
40:30 off the infielder, but a leadoff single.
40:34 >> Jackie Bradley Jr.
40:40 >> One and0.
40:44 >> Jackie's been on a heater.
40:47 >> Not that I didn't need to tell you that.
40:48 seen the Richmond highlights in the
40:49 pre-show.
40:51 Four home runs so far this year. He'll
40:53 continue to be on that heater. Back-to-
40:56 back singles to begin the ball game. Go
40:59 ahead and give this stat now. I didn't
41:00 want to give any broadcasters jinx.
41:01 Jackie's only had three hitless games
41:03 this year of now this being game number
41:06 17 for the Clowns. So that makes it 14
41:09 games that he now has had a hit in.
41:11 Special year. Bobby Lay left side gets
41:13 under the glove of Jordan Hussein. A
41:16 late stop sign from head coach Eric Fox
41:20 and that'll juice the bases here. Still
41:22 with none away in the top of [music] the
41:24 first.
41:25 Single, single, single for Joe Gray Jr.,
41:28 Jackie Bradley Jr. and Bobby Leay.
41:31 >> And now Dale Francis Jr. who's one of
41:34 the hottest of them all. Eight game
41:36 hitting streak from the big man from
41:37 Gardener Web University.
41:40 Ooh, that got a piece of ties. You got
41:42 him right on the mask.
41:45 Taj has taken a beating this year behind
41:46 home play. Caught the majority of the
41:48 games. Brett Sanchez, who he just whacks
41:51 poetically so much about facing his
41:53 first real jam
41:55 of his young rookie season, [cheering]
41:58 poked out of play. Fans don't have an
42:00 opportunity.
42:02 8,000 of our good friends here in
42:04 Oklahoma tonight. [music] Snake stake
42:06 the O2.
42:09 Good frame there from Taj, but no call.
42:14 >> [music]
42:14 >> Say it. She just needed an out
42:16 >> and we'll get it. Thank you. Thank you.
42:21 Thank you.
42:24 One of the biggest strikeouts of the
42:26 year, his 30th, first of the night. Gets
42:29 out number one. Base is still juiced.
42:32 And that's what Brett Sanchez does. Tell
42:34 you what, that guy underells his VO all
42:37 the time. But he can't underell his
42:38 thank [music] you. Nicole size CC's went
42:41 to the Dan Oburst look of the jersey
42:43 unbutton has gotten his batting average
42:45 over 200. Two home runs on the air. This
42:48 one to the back stop. Joe Gray Jr. comes
42:50 home. Throw sails from Taj.
42:53 Great play by Sunshine to back it up.
42:55 But a pass ball will play the first run
42:58 of the ball game for the Clouds.
43:00 [music]
43:02 Heads
43:04 up play [music] there by Sunshine
43:08 >> to prevent it from being two.
43:11 >> See that one just nowhere near chopper.
43:13 Left side foul from Nico. So he got two
43:15 balls and a strike.
43:17 Nico's been talking to me a lot about
43:19 his comfortability now the game of
43:20 banana ball. He's really been able to
43:21 slow things down. And from a veteran
43:24 minor leager,
43:26 a lot of those guys talk about how fast
43:28 this sport is. And once you get it
43:29 slowed down, oh boy, right there we get
43:32 another Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
43:35 Backto back pole chase for Brett Sanchez
43:40 Prime.
43:43 >> A positive result, but obviously during
43:46 that play appearance, a pass ball
43:47 allowed a clown to score and Carell
43:49 Prime hits with two in scoring position.
43:51 High up in this beautiful blue sky in
43:53 Tulsa. Sunny ranging back tip drill.
43:57 Book it. First trick play of the ball
44:00 game as a tip drill between Jonathan
44:02 Sunshine. Looters and Jose brother
44:04 Gonzalez.
44:06 Clowns up one to nothing.
44:10 But the Tailgator up one to nothing in
44:12 the trick play battle
44:14 and Sunny will put the banana ball back
44:16 on the bump. Let's take a look at the
44:18 defense that we're going to see tonight
44:20 from the Indianapolis Clowns. Very,
44:22 very, very good defensive bunch. Again,
44:24 trick [music] plays maybe the single
44:26 detriment of this Clown's lineup. You
44:28 see, they had 11 in that game two
44:29 victory against the Firefighters last
44:31 Saturday night. Still trying to come
44:32 about. Need one more to get to a 100
44:34 [music] so far on the year. Jackie
44:35 Bradley Jr. with seven of them hitting
44:37 or excuse me, playing there in the
44:39 middle of that outfield. Brian Dancero,
44:40 Joe Gray Jr. on the corners there. Eli
44:42 Payton. [music]
44:43 That guy gets going trickplaywise. He's
44:44 going to be really, really good. Carell
44:46 Prime over on the right side up the
44:48 middle. The two best friends of Bobby
44:49 Led and Kirkland Banks. [music] And then
44:51 Chris Burgess behind home plate. And his
44:54 battery mate tonight, the ace
44:56 right-hander for these Indianapolis
44:59 Clowns, David Griffin.
45:02 The former Mets farm hand made it all
45:04 the way up to Triple A. [music]
45:05 Has been a godsend this year for these
45:08 Clowns. You know, you can pit him in as
45:10 the game one starter, though. He does
45:11 have one appearance out of the bullpen.
45:13 He's had a couple game two appearances
45:15 as well. But now that we've shifted to
45:16 threeame series, this is a guy you want
45:18 to give the ball to every single game
45:20 one. That 342 erra still really strong
45:23 so far this year for David Griffin
45:25 though his last couple outings haven't
45:27 looked necessarily like his first few
45:28 did. That's been rather inflated. Had a
45:30 sub two erra all the way through his
45:32 first six appearances this year and
45:34 obviously it's went up still a little
45:35 bit more. The most impressive stat
45:37 though about David, he only has a 4.4%
45:40 ball four rate which means he never
45:43 issues out ball four spreads. He's
45:45 always in the zone. The lineup that'll
45:47 be trying to shut down the night of the
45:48 Texas Tailgator. It's Nick Lopez. Since
45:51 Lopez went to the top of this order, the
45:53 Tailgators are three and two. Zack
45:55 Watson, Kyle Martin hitting behind him.
45:56 [music] The April offensive player of
45:58 the month there in the three hole.
45:59 Jordan Bar the showman or excuse me, one
46:02 of the best players I should say, not
46:03 the showman of the game, but hit the
46:04 lone home run for the tailgator at Kyle
46:06 [music] Field. Taylor Justice, Jose
46:07 Gonzalez, Matt Danford, Taj Porter,
46:10 Indiana Stanley, and Jordan Husane. 421
46:14 for Taylor Justice leading all tailgator
46:16 has been one of the very best hitters in
46:18 Nevada Championship League this season.
46:21 That's how the tailgator will run it out
46:22 1 through 10 offensively needing one run
46:25 here in the whole half of the first to
46:28 at least push the inning
46:31 as they had a little race action there
46:33 down on the field. Looked like a couple
46:34 of Papa Bears down there.
46:38 Is it going to be Lopey versus David
46:39 Griffin [cheering]
46:41 >> to begin the home half of the first
46:48 >> Ly rocking with some sleeves tonight.
46:49 It's a bit of a cooler evening here in
46:51 Tulsa.
46:52 >> I mean much cooler than you'd have in
46:55 just about anywhere else it seems like
46:56 in May. It's 71 degrees but it feels
46:58 about like 61. If I didn't have such a
47:01 thick pearl snap on tonight, I think I'd
47:02 be shivering a little up here in the
47:04 broadcast booth.
47:07 David Griffin can run it up there in the
47:09 90s with that fast ball. Throws about
47:11 eight different pitches.
47:13 >> And again, he's going to absolutely
47:15 pound the zone, but the past couple
47:16 weekends, the firefighters able to get
47:18 to him a little better. First fan caught
47:20 foul ball opportunity.
47:23 It was juggled, not caught.
47:28 >> See how sunny it is on that left side of
47:30 the infield. David Griffin getting a
47:32 hold of the rising back.
47:36 David working exclusively at the stretch
47:38 tonight.
47:41 >> Seen him in the wind up.
47:44 >> Worked out a wind up in Greenville. Went
47:46 to the stretch last weekend in Richmond.
47:48 Now sticking with working out the
47:49 stretch here. Two two count. The Nick
47:52 Lopez talking about that two strike
47:54 approach. Lopey in 2025 letting
47:56 tailgators and ball force sprints
47:58 >> right here. Slices it out of the ball
48:00 play.
48:02 Lie was as free as I've ever seen him
48:04 today. He was doing some kind of
48:06 impression of a of a man from the south.
48:08 Maybe it was me earlier today.
48:11 Lie again slices one out of the
48:13 ballpark.
48:16 Guy's been on a bit of a skid him. You
48:18 know, he's a 300. He wakes up and it's
48:20 300 right now. 259. You see down there
48:23 on that beautiful score.
48:26 Pokes it out to left center. Brian
48:28 Dancero battling with the sun but still
48:30 makes the catch for out number one.
48:35 Seven pitch AB is a good way to start
48:37 off this ball game. David Griffin happy
48:39 to get himself an out ace right-handed
48:43 >> trying to put these Clowns back into
48:44 playoff contention. Not that they're out
48:46 right now, but a game and a half back as
48:47 we've seen earlier in the Banana Ball
48:48 Championship League standing. Zack
48:50 Watson
48:51 >> one and0
48:55 returning from that injury that he
48:57 suffered in roundrock.
48:59 Been a godsend last weekend.
49:02 >> Able to get a walk-off ball for sprint
49:04 in that victory over the bananas at Kyle
49:06 Field. Had a couple of knocks at
49:07 Navasota High School as well.
49:10 >> Guy that's just so comfortable hitting
49:12 in this two-hole here for these
49:13 tailgates.
49:20 >> Oh, broke his back chopper. Eli Payton
49:22 behind the back. Bookets for out number
49:26 two. [music]
49:27 First trick play of the ball game for
49:29 the Indianapolis Clowns. Going to
49:31 mention it. Eli Payton gets going and
49:33 gets trickery over there on that left
49:34 side of this infield. It's going to get
49:36 scary. And how about that? The 100 trick
49:39 play of the year as well for the
49:40 Indianapolis Clowns. Kyle Mart.
49:44 >> Eli Payton taken because of his defense,
49:46 but his offense hadn't been shabby this
49:47 year either. None of the guys offense
49:49 who has not been shabby this year is
49:52 Kyle Martin. the April offensive player
49:55 of [music] the month.
49:57 >> Kmart out to center. Jackie glides and
50:01 has it for out number three as the
50:04 Clowns go three up and three down and
50:06 also take a one to nothing lead at the
50:08 conclusion here of the first inning. How
50:11 about that? David Griffin we talked
50:12 about, got roughed up a little bit by
50:13 the firefighters right there. Some
50:14 hard-hit banana balls, but nonetheless
50:17 got out of it clean.
50:19 Talk a lot about earn run average. Earn
50:21 run average. You always hear that. Who's
50:23 leading the Banana Ball Championship
50:24 [music] League so far this year in ERA?
50:31 >> Tailgators are second in that category.
50:33 The team you won't see on your screen is
50:35 the Indianapolis Clowns as they're
50:36 planted way down since sixth as entering
50:40 tonight. The Clowns ERA was 918. That's
50:44 not good. Clowns RA up near the double
50:46 digits. Obviously, the tailgator right
50:47 behind those Savannah Banatanas 573. The
50:50 Bananas 523. got a little inflated after
50:52 last weekend when the bananas and
50:54 tailgators combined for 22 runs in that
50:57 game at Kyle Field. Again, those numbers
50:59 are entering tonight your RA team RA
51:02 leaders in the Banana Bowl championship
51:03 league.
51:07 [cheering]
51:09 He's down on the field. We've been
51:11 talking about him all night long. He was
51:14 April's banana ball pitcher of the
51:16 month. It's stank stank. He's my
51:19 namesake. His name is Brett Sanchez.
51:22 Hello, my friend. [cheering]
51:24 >> How's it going?
51:25 >> How are you?
51:26 >> Good. I gave up a run, but you know, it
51:29 happens.
51:29 >> You know, you got in a bases loaded jam.
51:31 You went straight out, strike out, trick
51:32 play. So, maybe we just start the inning
51:35 by doing that here, huh?
51:36 >> Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do.
51:37 >> I need a thank you with you on the
51:39 microphone in the worst way possible.
51:41 Chris Burg just get ahead of him 0 and
51:43 one. What do you think of Tulsa so far?
51:44 >> Uh, I love it. I haven't really gotten
51:46 to do much,
51:48 >> but that was a sword.
51:50 >> Uh, but it's been pretty beautiful. So,
51:57 >> thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Brett
52:00 Sanchez.
52:01 >> Hey, first one. I had to do it to you.
52:02 You asked for it.
52:04 >> Gosh, you ask and you sound receive.
52:07 >> I am really mad that the glove went off
52:08 the dirt, though.
52:11 >> Well, that was beautiful. He was way
52:12 behind that fast ball. like 97 for my
52:14 period.
52:15 >> Oh no.
52:16 >> Oh, that caught a piece of it. Santi
52:20 Taj, great play down the line. Infield
52:23 single. You all right there?
52:24 >> Yeah, I'm good. [cheering]
52:27 >> You would elaborate any further? You
52:29 just Okay. What did that hit you at?
52:31 >> The right elbow and then the right hip.
52:33 It felt It didn't hurt as much as the
52:35 bat, though. So,
52:37 >> yeah, you did get stabbed in the arm
52:39 last weekend with a piece of errant
52:41 wood. On a scale of 1 to 10, how bad you
52:43 got hurt?
52:43 >> I mean, two weeks in a row though, like
52:47 >> I would have to check with Joshki. I
52:49 believe that's the first time we've ever
52:50 had anybody get stricken with a banana
52:52 ball while live on air.
52:54 >> How about that?
52:55 >> That was just nuts.
52:57 That was just unreal. Can't believe that
52:59 happened.
52:59 >> I want you to talk me through this
53:00 bandana you went.
53:02 >> Uh, I had a fan. She was my biggest fan
53:04 while I was on the visitors. man.
53:08 >> So, we're speaking to the visitors and
53:10 visitors teammate Brian Dance.
53:11 >> Yeah, I love facing Brian. Uh, but she
53:14 made me the the bandana and told me that
53:17 she was going to make it for me.
53:21 She told me she was going to make it for
53:22 me and I wear it every time we wear the
53:25 white these white uniforms.
53:28 >> The wind strikes floated out the lap.
53:32 Wii out number two. But yeah, I wear it
53:35 every time we wear these jerseys cuz I
53:37 think it matches really well. Unless we
53:40 play at a field where I have a color
53:42 bandana of that school or place. So like
53:47 St. Patrick's Day, I wore a green
53:49 bandana cuz obviously St. Patrick's Day,
53:52 >> right?
53:54 >> Dylan Vasquez
53:58 >> flashes right over first. Make sure you
54:00 keep a hold on him.
54:01 >> He ain't stealing today.
54:04 He leads the league in stolen bases, by
54:06 the way.
54:06 >> I lead the league in stolen bases, not
54:08 giving up.
54:09 >> Oo, that's true story, Brett Sanchez. I
54:11 don't know if that's an actual stat.
54:13 >> It should be cuz I have zero.
54:15 >> All right, I want to thank you here. I
54:17 want you to throw that 59 mph curveball.
54:29 >> Poked out the center. Dang it. Oh,
54:32 >> I I gave you what you wanted, though. I
54:34 threw it.
54:35 >> You did throw it. I
54:37 >> I didn't want to. I wanted to throw the
54:38 fast ball up, but
54:40 >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. That's on me.
54:42 >> It's okay. It's okay.
54:43 >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
54:45 [laughter]
54:46 >> Two outs here. Two runners on. No.
54:48 >> Giog Jr.
54:50 >> You're not running.
54:52 >> Is he giving you a thank you right now?
54:57 [music]
55:01 High in the sky. You think why he's got
55:02 a backflip in him?
55:06 >> Oh, [screaming] backflip catch. Booking
55:09 Sanchi
55:09 >> while on the mic. I got hit. A strike
55:11 out. And that
55:12 >> I need you to thank him.
55:13 >> That's a pretty entertaining inning if I
55:15 have to ask me.
55:16 >> Please go get Wy and fake him. Tell him
55:18 you're on the microphone.
55:19 >> Buddy,
55:21 thank you.
55:24 >> That hurt my toe.
55:26 He said it hurt his toe.
55:27 >> He didn't really hurt his toe.
55:29 >> Oh, Sanche, I love you so much.
55:31 >> I love you, Brett. You're
55:32 >> Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for
55:33 being on the microphone.
55:34 >> You're in my top three Bretts in the
55:36 organization.
55:37 >> Are you okay?
55:39 >> All righty fans. I'm all the way out
55:41 here in left field. The tailgator are in
55:44 Oklahoma for the very first time. And
55:46 from what I understand, you guys know a
55:48 thing or two about storms. And I'm
55:51 getting word right now that a tornado
55:53 has touched down right here in Tulsa.
55:58 Here's our tornado, Nick Wilson, and
56:01 he's ripping his way along what is now a
56:04 tornado warning track. But don't worry,
56:07 we've got some stormchasers on the case.
56:10 Here we go.
56:14 [cheering]
56:19 >> [cheering]
56:20 >> Come on.
56:44 Hallelujah.
57:00 now batting number six.
57:06 >> Nick Wilson, a man of many talents and
57:10 just got that's what we call cardio
57:13 right there for Mr. [music] Nick Wilson.
57:15 expect him if the clowns have a save
57:17 opportunity later in this one to close
57:18 it out. Princess JB Jordan Bar four,
57:21 five and six here for these tailgators
57:23 in the bottom [music] of the second.
57:25 0 and one JB had himself a weekend in
57:29 college and including that lone ball.
57:30 You see his average getting up there
57:32 close to 400. I mean, when you look at a
57:34 guy who has the pro ball experience that
57:36 he has playing in the American
57:37 Association, was as good as a division 2
57:40 baseball player as he was at the
57:41 University of Sou Falls, winning a D2
57:43 national title. You knew the bat was
57:45 going to come around here in Banavan.
57:46 And it's come around in a big way.
57:48 That's fair. Just tiptoeing itself down
57:50 the foul line. JB Hustling with a stand
57:54 up leadoff double here. And he
57:57 represents the tailgator's first point
57:58 of the ball game out there on second.
58:04 And now the tailgator who just put
58:06 himself over the batting average
58:08 threshold of 400 to the one who's
58:11 already there in Taylor Justice
58:15 said it last weekend in College Station.
58:17 I can't wait to tell my children about
58:19 2026 Taylor Justice.
58:23 He has been special leading the Banana
58:25 Ball Championship League with seven
58:27 walk-offs. The only tailgator hitting
58:28 over 400. And you see it there. 421.
58:32 He's behind David Griffin here. 0 and2
58:36 an offensive season for the ages. Has
58:38 always been well renown. [music] Taylor
58:40 has been as a elite defensive catcher.
58:42 Well, now he's an elite bat and he's
58:44 been an elite trick play first base
58:47 chopper. Will advance Jordan Bar. Jaylen
58:49 Vasquez. 360 bounce pass. Book it.
58:54 Wow. Great play there from JV. I mean,
58:57 that was a little bit of flare. didn't
58:59 even need to add. Went all the way
59:01 around
59:03 in the bounce pass. That's about as cool
59:05 as it comes right there. He bounced it
59:07 so far that 6'6 Carell Prime almost
59:10 couldn't Corali.
59:12 >> And now Jos Gonzalez has an opportunity
59:14 for a walk-off with Jordan Bart standing
59:16 90 ft away. Clowns defense in on the
59:19 infield.
59:26 Ball force Brett will do the trick here
59:28 as well.
59:31 [music]
59:36 >> Good two seamer there from David
59:37 Griffin.
59:47 David has fought himself back from 200
59:49 to 22.
59:56 >> Infield in
59:57 >> brother the pride of Spring Texas trying
59:59 to make it a one-1 ball game.
1:00:04 >> Runs it full.
1:00:07 mentioned
1:00:09 the [music] firefighters had been
1:00:10 getting to David Griffin a little bit
1:00:11 the past couple weekends trying to lock
1:00:13 it in here
1:00:19 >> the payoff
1:00:21 ball for Brett brother walks it off for
1:00:24 the tailgator
1:00:26 here in the bottom of the second inning
1:00:28 to make it a one-1 ball game David's
1:00:32 faced the minimum six batters through
1:00:34 two innings with three up three down in
1:00:36 the first right here a double a trick
1:00:39 play out and then a walk-off ball force
1:00:40 sprint. Donnie, what you got for us?
1:00:42 >> Okay, if you'll be theatchers
1:00:52 have won the inning.
1:00:55 [cheering]
1:01:00 >> All righty, fans. I think it's time we
1:01:02 get you guys singing. We're about to
1:01:04 play three songs and when the music
1:01:07 stops, you need to keep singing as loud
1:01:10 as you can. But you know what?
1:01:11 >> Look who's joining me now in the
1:01:14 broadcast booth. It's my good friend, a
1:01:16 man of many names. Old Knuckles, Fisher,
1:01:19 Poly Off. They call you anything else?
1:01:22 >> They call me a lot of things, Brent. Um
1:01:24 they uh they call me excited to be up
1:01:26 here in the broadcast booth with you.
1:01:27 You betcha. By golly, wow, I am. Um I
1:01:29 want to shout out everybody at home. We
1:01:31 are going to be calling some games right
1:01:32 here in uh in Tulsa and I'm so excited
1:01:34 to be with you all. Thank you so much
1:01:36 for having me.
1:01:37 >> Fisher, you you brought your glove with
1:01:38 you to the broadcast booth.
1:01:40 >> I did. You never know when a fly ball is
1:01:41 going to be coming right back up to the
1:01:43 broadcast booth. And uh you bet you I'm
1:01:45 going to make a grab on it.
1:01:46 >> You know, we've never had a broadcaster
1:01:48 or I guess you would also be a player
1:01:50 catch a foul ball. But maybe tonight's
1:01:52 the night, huh?
1:01:53 >> Indeed. I could also catch a ball on the
1:01:54 mound as I will be making an appearance
1:01:56 in this ball game later on.
1:01:58 Fisher Polly Door man able to join us up
1:02:00 in the broadcast booth. So happy old
1:02:03 Knuckles is joining us. So happy Jackie
1:02:04 Bradley Jr. blesses us with his presence
1:02:06 as Jonathan Sunshine Looters tip drill.
1:02:11 >> Book it
1:02:14 as he and Taylor Justice combined for
1:02:16 that out.
1:02:23 >> Lutters with a marvelous trick play
1:02:24 right there.
1:02:26 Double trick play with the tip drill.
1:02:29 We've seen him get fancy this game.
1:02:30 We've seen him already use his feet.
1:02:32 [cheering]
1:02:35 >> Yeah. What' you think about that? He
1:02:36 dribbled the ball all the way back in
1:02:38 from right field earlier. Fish,
1:02:39 >> I thought it was proficient. I've never
1:02:40 seen anything like that. And he's using
1:02:42 a combination of soccer, football, if
1:02:44 you will, and baseball, banana ball.
1:02:46 >> You know, I don't know if people know
1:02:48 this or not. You are 1/4th of a house
1:02:51 that makes up a house that Jonathan
1:02:53 Sunshine Lutters is also in. as Jordan
1:02:56 Bar flips it behind his back. Throw up
1:02:59 the line. Bobby Leay trying to retreat
1:03:02 back to first. Does so in time. Trick
1:03:03 play missed from Jordan Bar. Tell us
1:03:06 about what it's like living with Sunny.
1:03:08 >> Well, it's stellar. Sunshine Lutters is
1:03:10 a true ambassador of the sport. I have
1:03:12 nothing but great phenomenal words to
1:03:14 say about him as on that play you can
1:03:15 see him backing up the throw behind
1:03:17 first base as he is everywhere. He is a
1:03:19 cat on its heels in this ball game.
1:03:22 [cheering]
1:03:23 Splash to right. Brother drops the
1:03:28 cowboy hat. Tip drilled himself. Book
1:03:30 it. I had another trick play to the
1:03:32 ledger. Four to two. The tailgator lead
1:03:34 that.
1:03:34 >> The tailgator are so good at delivering
1:03:36 fans first interactions. And I will say
1:03:38 Sunshine Looters is among the top and uh
1:03:41 and and I would say he's a a first team
1:03:44 all plaza candidate as he's always
1:03:46 making true interactions and yeah, he's
1:03:48 a he's a blast to live with. This guy,
1:03:51 if he continues doing what he's doing,
1:03:53 we don't have it, but would be a first
1:03:55 team banana barer. Sure, Nicoleser. How
1:03:57 fun is it to watch him and be in a
1:03:58 clubhouse with a guy who's kind of old
1:04:00 school OBGs, but new school power fish?
1:04:02 >> Absolutely. It's stellar. He's um
1:04:04 actually coming in for a walk out, his
1:04:06 first of the year later, and we're going
1:04:07 to see some some personality from him
1:04:09 that we've never seen on the camera. So,
1:04:11 I'm super excited for the broadcast to
1:04:12 see that later.
1:04:16 Brett Sanchez behind him. Two and one.
1:04:22 Your teammate on the visit, Brett
1:04:24 Sanchez.
1:04:25 Another opportunity to see a little
1:04:27 thank you here, Fish.
1:04:30 And much obliged, if you will. We're
1:04:32 taking it back old school. Sanchez has
1:04:34 been very deceiving with his looks so
1:04:37 far. He's been going through the legs
1:04:38 with the dude wipe. He's been going
1:04:40 behind the back.
1:04:44 Bobby gets his lead over at first. We'll
1:04:46 do the 2- two one more time between
1:04:47 Sanche and Nico.
1:04:52 Lot of history here in Tulsa. Tailgator
1:04:55 clowns trying to make some more of it
1:04:56 tonight.
1:04:58 Got him. Thank you. Thank you. Thank
1:05:02 you.
1:05:04 Much obliged. Much obliged. Much obliged
1:05:06 from Brett Sanchez right there. A
1:05:09 masterclass in striking out and
1:05:11 celebrating.
1:05:12 And now it is time as Casey Barker is
1:05:16 coming out on the field to welcome our
1:05:17 Bananas Foster family of the night.
1:05:24 >> Across the United States, there are over
1:05:27 400,000 children and teens in foster
1:05:30 care without a permanent home. To raise
1:05:32 awareness and support this community, we
1:05:34 created Bananas Foster, the official
1:05:37 nonprofit of Banana Bowl. Our
1:05:39 organization is dedicated to celebrating
1:05:41 those in the foster care community while
1:05:43 educating and inspiring others to get
1:05:45 involved. Tonight, we are celebrating
1:05:48 the Gray family. Holly and Matt began
1:05:51 their foster care journey 10 years ago
1:05:54 to give children a safe home and keep
1:05:56 siblings together. Since 2016, they have
1:06:00 welcomed 11 kiddos into their home, all
1:06:03 of which have been sets of siblings and
1:06:06 adopted five into their family. fans.
1:06:09 Please help us celebrate this incredible
1:06:10 family for making a difference right
1:06:12 here in your community.
1:06:40 The clowns, the tailgate here in Tulsa,
1:06:43 Oklahoma. A place where banana ball has
1:06:46 not been played since 2023. And the most
1:06:49 special moment of every single banana
1:06:51 ball game. Welcoming the Gray family to
1:06:54 the field as our Bananas Foster family
1:06:56 of the night text bunch to 50155 to
1:06:59 support Bananas Foster. Fisher Poly off
1:07:03 here Brett Loft just at one Oak Field.
1:07:06 Fisher, what I want to ask you about
1:07:07 talking about history, special moments.
1:07:09 Talked about a little earlier in the
1:07:11 pre-show. Jaylen Vasquez has on a TTown
1:07:14 [music] Clowns hat.
1:07:17 And I mean, just one of the coolest
1:07:18 things this year, there's a TTown Clowns
1:07:21 revival, or not a revival, a night, I
1:07:23 should say, here for the Tulsa Drillers.
1:07:24 How cool is that? The Indianapolis
1:07:26 Clowns getting to come back to a place
1:07:28 where they were they they have been in
1:07:30 the Tatown Clowns and getting to be
1:07:31 honored here.
1:07:32 >> So, it's a it's certainly a uh a
1:07:35 historic ballpark, a historic town.
1:07:37 There's a Greenwood uh memorial and uh
1:07:40 and murals out there as we can see
1:07:42 Jackie Robinson actually in left center
1:07:43 field. Um, beautiful scenery here and
1:07:46 the Ttown Clowns. I actually purchased
1:07:48 one of the hats from the team store. I
1:07:49 had to because the Indianapolis Clowns
1:07:51 are historic team coming to a historic
1:07:52 city such as Tulsa. We're excited. We're
1:07:55 uh we're ready to deliver a uh a true
1:07:57 experience for 8,000 strong three nights
1:07:59 in a row.
1:08:01 >> M Danford, the leadoff standing here for
1:08:03 the Tailgator. It's very important. I
1:08:04 talked about this a little bit early as
1:08:05 well. the strong presence that the Negro
1:08:07 Leagues had in this in the state of
1:08:09 Oklahoma for you guys to play the
1:08:11 tailgator in both here in Tulsa and
1:08:13 Oklahoma City this year. Very special
1:08:15 fish.
1:08:15 >> It's huge. It's huge to be able to bring
1:08:19 to be able to bring back as Bobby Leay
1:08:21 ground ball to him. Prime with the scoop
1:08:23 and not in time
1:08:27 as M. Danford reaches safely.
1:08:29 >> As you were saying about being able to
1:08:31 play in Oklahoma.
1:08:32 >> Oh, it's ab it's absolutely awesome. Uh
1:08:34 I I think back to all the Negro League
1:08:36 players that we've honored. Um and
1:08:38 there's a couple clowns that were from
1:08:40 Oklahoma and played ball really early on
1:08:42 and uh I know that the Negro League
1:08:44 baseball um museum president Bob
1:08:46 Kendrick has always talked about
1:08:48 Oklahoma highly in the sport and what
1:08:50 it's done to preserve especially the
1:08:51 Southern Negro League history. And the
1:08:54 beautiful ball gear as you mentioned
1:08:55 Jackie Robinson memorial and the in the
1:08:57 in the
1:08:59 the big mural of him painted out behind
1:09:02 left field as Taj Porter one and one
1:09:05 Mike Danford representing the inning
1:09:07 winning run over there first after that
1:09:08 single. Oh, David Griffin absolute
1:09:11 fuzzball there fish at title zone.
1:09:12 >> Oh yeah, Porter looking to drive one for
1:09:15 a short porch out there in right field.
1:09:18 >> Only 309 out there fish only 309. We've
1:09:23 got a absolutely gorgeous skyline over
1:09:25 there, Brett. I have not seen anything
1:09:26 like this from a minor league baseball
1:09:28 stadium. Truly mesmerizing.
1:09:30 >> Ballpark 16 years old here in Tulsa. TP
1:09:34 slots it right side. Bat flips a single.
1:09:37 Max trying to go first to third. Cowboy
1:09:39 Joe with a cannon. Not in time. Madoodle
1:09:43 showing off the wheels. And the
1:09:45 Tailgator had their second point
1:09:46 standing 90 ft away.
1:09:50 I would have to say that's one of Joe
1:09:51 Gray's most valuable assets to the team
1:09:53 is his cannon out there in right field.
1:09:55 He has been up to reportedly over 100
1:09:58 miles an hour from the outfield and uh
1:10:00 certainly showing off the uh the cabay
1:10:02 fu as we call him. The strong horse.
1:10:05 >> You run that back one more time. Fish
1:10:08 >> elabay
1:10:09 the strong horse.
1:10:10 >> Mhm. I'll trust you.
1:10:13 >> Fisher, you know how many languages? two
1:10:16 or three fluently if you're not counting
1:10:18 English, Spanish and Portuguese I
1:10:20 learned and in the last 5 years it's
1:10:22 benefited my life immensely.
1:10:23 >> How so?
1:10:24 >> Just being able to communicate and grow
1:10:26 fans and really just you know surprise
1:10:28 people. People really don't you know
1:10:29 expect a white ginger as myself with
1:10:32 mutton chops to be speaking a little
1:10:33 espanol.
1:10:37 >> Let's get out of the sky
1:10:39 stadium I should say foul.
1:10:41 >> That'll be a souvenir for a lucky
1:10:42 Oklahoma. How do you say it? Oklahoma.
1:10:44 Oklahoma.
1:10:45 >> Oklahomaian. That was correct. That was
1:10:47 correct. All
1:10:48 >> righty.
1:10:48 >> Now you're speaking a little Oklahoma.
1:10:50 There you go.
1:10:51 >> Mark, book that. Book it for a fourth
1:10:52 language. There you go.
1:10:55 >> India center. Jackie trailing back on it
1:10:59 has it for out number two. Tagging it
1:11:00 from third. Madoodle throw cells wide
1:11:03 and the Texas Tailgators walk off their
1:11:06 second straight inning and take a two to
1:11:08 one lead here over the Clowns.
1:11:13 Tell you what,
1:11:15 I don't know what it is about you. You
1:11:17 joined me up here. You were up here for
1:11:19 the back half of that second inning
1:11:21 right there and then here up here in the
1:11:23 third as well. Tailgator won both of
1:11:25 those innings. However, you're going to
1:11:27 have something to say about that because
1:11:29 you didn't just bring the glove up here
1:11:31 to potentially catch a foul ball. You
1:11:33 got to go down to the bullpen and warm
1:11:34 up.
1:11:34 >> I did. I didn't just bring a glove. I
1:11:36 brought a lot of charisma. I'm going to
1:11:37 be entering the ball game and delivering
1:11:39 a show for all these 8,000 strong. The
1:11:41 people want to know outside of these
1:11:42 8,000 wonderful people here at One Oak
1:11:44 Field, can you give us a little
1:11:46 something to let us know that you you
1:11:47 you see us, you know us, you recognize
1:11:49 us, and all the people watching at home
1:11:50 once you get on that bump.
1:11:51 >> I am visualizing all of the fans out
1:11:53 there on the worldwide web. I have your
1:11:56 support and I feel it immensely. And now
1:11:58 I will deliver a stellar performance for
1:12:00 all of you on the worldwide web. Thank
1:12:02 you for tuning in. This is Brett
1:12:03 Loftess. I am Fisher Polyoroff.
1:12:06 >> I was just expecting a tip of a cap once
1:12:08 you get out there. That'll work too,
1:12:09 [laughter] man. We appreciate you. Fish
1:12:11 are probably door off.
1:12:12 >> Thanks so much.
1:12:12 >> What a blessing it always is to have him
1:12:14 up here in the broadcasting booth. He's
1:12:16 got to go warm up though, guys. He's got
1:12:17 to go warm up. Fish, you get down to
1:12:19 that bullpen.
1:12:25 >> We've got some ground beef and our final
1:12:27 two.
1:12:33 The final share
1:12:36 as fast as you can.
1:12:42 Keep on spinning, cows. Keep on
1:12:44 spinning.
1:12:51 >> All righty, cows. Find that chair.
1:12:56 >> I got no idea what's going on down there
1:12:58 on the field. Tell you what, it's always
1:12:59 a blessing to have old knuckles with us
1:13:01 in the booth, Doug.
1:13:04 >> What a great guy to have in our sport.
1:13:06 just the imperial knowledge that he has
1:13:09 of the clans.
1:13:11 And to have that guy be the embodiment
1:13:14 of what an old school baseball player
1:13:15 is. Obviously, that's what his brand has
1:13:17 been founded upon, his personal brand, I
1:13:20 should say. Obviously, the revival of
1:13:22 the clowns here in Banana. Have a guy
1:13:24 like that is just so so special. And
1:13:25 then again, just such a great or as
1:13:28 we've heard, you know, joined Zack Stton
1:13:29 in the booth last weekend, able to join
1:13:31 us here tonight is Carell Prime, leadoff
1:13:33 singer.
1:13:36 expect to see Fischer here in the next
1:13:38 few innings again. Literally has to go
1:13:40 right down to the field and start
1:13:41 warming up like he was. He's so blessed
1:13:44 for us. So blessed we are for him to
1:13:47 join us in the broadcast. Flash going to
1:13:49 come over and run at first now for Prime
1:13:51 as Chris Burgess who struck out his
1:13:52 first time now at the dish. Two to1 ball
1:13:54 game.
1:13:56 >> Tailgator lead
1:13:59 the trick play category as well four to
1:14:00 two.
1:14:04 >> [laughter]
1:14:06 >> Sanchez took a while checking flash over
1:14:08 at first.
1:14:10 Malachi Mitchell gave him a little way.
1:14:11 Leading the banana ball championship
1:14:13 league with 12 stolen bases have been
1:14:15 flashed this year. Chopper left side. JB
1:14:17 behind the back. Sunny between the legs.
1:14:20 Oh, Taylor justice. Book it. Book it.
1:14:24 Book it.
1:14:26 That is a triple trick play double play.
1:14:31 We may not be in Texas, but everything's
1:14:33 bigger for the tailgate.
1:14:35 >> My gosh.
1:14:39 >> Eli [cheering]
1:14:40 P.
1:14:46 [cheering]
1:14:47 >> Mesmerizing, mindbreaking,
1:14:50 internet breaking that might be. Eli
1:14:53 Pton's got a ball in a strike on him.
1:14:57 That is the first time ever that the
1:14:59 Texas Tailgators have pulled off that
1:15:01 triple trick play, double play. I've
1:15:03 seen it twice as the firefighters have
1:15:06 done it twice against the tailgate. Once
1:15:08 last year, once this year, but first
1:15:09 time the Tailgators have successfully
1:15:11 done that. Indiana Stanley. Zack Watson.
1:15:13 Who wants it? Indie wants it behind the
1:15:15 back. Book it.
1:15:18 >> A four trick play inning in a minute and
1:15:22 52 seconds.
1:15:25 Now the time
1:15:26 >> and that's bananable.
1:15:29 So I need everybody to get up.
1:15:34 >> And now
1:15:36 from a tradition of the tailgators being
1:15:37 elite in trick plays to another banana
1:15:39 ball tradition and hey baby
1:15:41 >> along to a little hey baby.
1:15:48 >> If you don't know the dance just follow
1:15:49 along.
1:16:08 All righty, let's do it again.
1:16:21 >> [music]
1:16:22 >> All right, keep those hands clapping
1:16:24 while we shuffle.
1:16:38 Get those hands up.
1:16:50 >> One more time. Let me hear you sing it.
1:17:05 Right on, Tulsa. Give it up for
1:17:07 yourselves. Great work, everybody.
1:17:10 >> A triple trick play double play. The
1:17:13 first one in the history of the [music]
1:17:15 Texas Tail Gears. My gosh. JB behind the
1:17:19 back. Sunny between the legs. Taylor
1:17:21 Justice a scoop between his legs. That
1:17:25 is incredible.
1:17:27 Gosh, we're plus out of our minds here
1:17:30 tonight. David Griffin
1:17:32 >> trying to not give up his third straight
1:17:34 walk-off. Tailgator walked it off in the
1:17:36 second and the third. Here we stand in
1:17:38 the bottom of the fourth. A two to one
1:17:39 ball game.
1:17:46 [music]
1:17:46 >> Seven to two in the trick play battle.
1:17:52 >> Eight to2, pardon me, in the trick play
1:17:54 battle. The tailgator lead.
1:17:56 >> Jordan Hussein first played appearance
1:17:58 of the ball game. Fiverr has been on a
1:18:00 heater. Sixgame hitting streak out of
1:18:02 him.
1:18:05 >> Had a special night last weekend at
1:18:08 College Station as well. Had four played
1:18:10 appearances. Had an RBI in every single
1:18:12 one of them. Two RBI sprints, a sack
1:18:15 fly, and an RBI single.
1:18:21 >> And if this guy can be your tenhole,
1:18:23 hitting 316, just goes to show you how
1:18:25 special tailgators can really be. Jordan
1:18:28 out of play. You know, I was talking to
1:18:30 our captain, Jordan Hussein, earlier
1:18:32 this week and said, "Brent, I've [music]
1:18:34 never felt more comfortable in the box
1:18:36 offensively in my banana ball career."
1:18:38 You know, Jordan's known for being one
1:18:40 of, if not the best trick play shorts
1:18:42 stop in the game as he'll continue that
1:18:44 hit streak with a leadoff single here.
1:18:47 Again, when you look at what Jordan has
1:18:49 done this year, he has put himself in
1:18:51 the conversation of Chase Auff Ryan
1:18:53 [music] Cox with that defensive prowess.
1:18:54 But then what he continues to do
1:18:56 offensively is just such a special
1:18:58 special year that the man from Houston,
1:19:00 Texas is having. As we'll turn over the
1:19:02 lineup card to Nick Lopez,
1:19:05 Lopey flew out to left to begin the
1:19:07 bottom of the first
1:19:10 trying to write his runs
1:19:12 in the sky. Shallow center. Bobby Leay
1:19:15 ranging back has it for out number one.
1:19:21 So from Lopei to Wadi, Zack Watson,
1:19:25 you talked about the heater that Wad's
1:19:27 been on. Got cooled down a little bit
1:19:28 despite having that walk-off last
1:19:30 Saturday night at Cal Field.
1:19:32 Wad's just worried about being loose,
1:19:34 man. And this biggest thing that he
1:19:36 worried about coming back from injury,
1:19:38 you know, said he he was a little tight.
1:19:40 You know, it's it's easy to be relaxed
1:19:41 here in Banana Ball as Jordan Hussein
1:19:43 takes off for second. Burges the throw
1:19:45 down.
1:19:46 Got it.
1:19:51 Talk about the defensive prowess all the
1:19:53 time of Taj Porter. Chris Burgess as a
1:19:56 rookie has an absolute cannon back then.
1:20:00 >> Second base runner he's nabbed in 2026.
1:20:02 That'll be out number two and a big out
1:20:04 number two.
1:20:08 >> You know, Wad is still yet to hit a home
1:20:10 run this year. Talking about loosening
1:20:11 up. She'd loosen up right here and leave
1:20:13 the yard. Wind is blowing in at about 5
1:20:16 to 12 miles an hour here in Tulsa.
1:20:21 Wadi right side. Oh, Prime almost had
1:20:24 it.
1:20:25 >> A jumping attempt, but a two-out single
1:20:27 for Zack Watson.
1:20:34 And now a man who's been really, really,
1:20:36 really loose. Kyle Martin. For those
1:20:38 wondering at home, we kept our dinner
1:20:40 streak alive last night. We got to
1:20:41 Tulsa. Cal Martin, Chris Clark,
1:20:45 myself,
1:20:46 Jordan Bar, couple of our really good
1:20:48 creative people and Ameilia Bird and in
1:20:50 Shri all went out to dinner last night.
1:20:53 Soul food restaurant called Fixings
1:20:54 [music] here in Tulsa. Very good place.
1:20:56 A lot of the clowns were there as well.
1:20:58 Actually recommended to us by Malachi
1:21:00 Mitchell Flash.
1:21:02 Kmart left field and the banana ball
1:21:07 championship leader in diggers just hit
1:21:09 [screaming] another one.
1:21:11 >> [cheering]
1:21:13 >> Welcome to the auction
1:21:17 >> as Kyle Martin walks it off here in the
1:21:19 fourth and makes it a three to one ball
1:21:22 game. Number seven on the year.
1:21:27 A man who's hotter than the surface of
1:21:30 the sun is going to run through the A
1:21:33 gap as he just power the tailgator to a
1:21:38 3 to1 lead.
1:21:43 I think he's got something to say as
1:21:45 well.
1:21:48 >> You just hit your first home run of the
1:21:50 weekend. How do you feel?
1:21:51 >> I was just taking a long time. That's
1:21:53 the best of my life. 93.
1:21:57 >> Why are we in 94?
1:22:01 [cheering]
1:22:03 >> Tailgators have won the inning.
1:22:07 >> Yes, Kyle Martin. Yes.
1:22:11 as now one of my favorite promos, the
1:22:13 sheet race.
1:22:16 >> All righty, Tulsa. I know we're having a
1:22:18 good time, but unfortunately the time
1:22:20 has arrived for the sheetiest moment of
1:22:22 the entire night. And that sheetiest
1:22:25 with two E because it's time for the
1:22:28 sheet race. We have four sheets down
1:22:31 here on the line. Let's meet them. We've
1:22:33 got the navy sheet, the maroon sheet,
1:22:36 the orange sheet, and the blue sheet.
1:22:39 These four sheets are going to run all
1:22:41 the way along the outfield to the finish
1:22:43 line by home plate. The first one there
1:22:45 will be our winner. Tulsa, are you
1:22:48 ready?
1:22:50 [cheering]
1:22:51 Sheet is about to get real in three,
1:22:54 two, one, go.
1:22:57 >> All right, the bull sheet race.
1:23:00 >> Oh, red's down. Navy blue almost fell.
1:23:04 Orange and now blue are the only two
1:23:06 left. The two best colors in the entire
1:23:08 color palette that the good Lord ever
1:23:10 let be created. Blue and orange.
1:23:15 >> Blue and orange starting to fade. Here
1:23:18 comes Navy. Navy [screaming] plowing its
1:23:21 way through the middle. Oh, orange is
1:23:23 down. Navy blue stumbling. Oh my gosh.
1:23:27 It's Hornby, the mascot of the Drillers,
1:23:30 taking out Navy Blue as Blue jumps over
1:23:33 the finish line in our winner of the
1:23:35 bull sheet race.
1:23:39 Hornsby still going. Oh no, he just
1:23:42 tackled Navy blue.
1:23:48 Oh my gosh. Bucket.
1:23:53 Wow. That is unlike anything I've ever
1:23:57 seen before. He tried to take out
1:23:59 Orange, but he wasn't having it.
1:24:05 Goodness gracious.
1:24:09 Shout out to Bo Scala who showed me how
1:24:12 to call the bull sheet race. Just full
1:24:15 disclosure.
1:24:18 Usually just call it the sheet race, but
1:24:20 the bull sheet race here for the
1:24:22 tailgator. miss it right up here into
1:24:25 the crowd back spinning in front of us
1:24:27 all. A man with an Indianapolis clown
1:24:30 shirt on had it in the grasp of his
1:24:31 hands but could not make the catch.
1:24:38 Brian Dancer 0 and two on him.
1:24:46 Jordan Hussein. Oh, fumbled it.
1:24:48 Recovered not in time. Trick play missed
1:24:51 on Jordan Hussein.
1:24:55 Kind of a larger question here and a
1:24:57 larger talking point here in Tulsa.
1:24:59 Really was watering this infield down
1:25:02 when we got here this morning about
1:25:03 9:30.
1:25:05 A very hard infield. Oh, like concrete a
1:25:08 little bit. Wind's been blowing a little
1:25:10 bit today as well. Not making an excuse
1:25:12 there for Jordan Hussein. He'd be the
1:25:13 first to tell you he should have made
1:25:14 that play and would not want me to make
1:25:15 an excuse. But a very hard infield here
1:25:18 in Tulsa. That's something to watch out
1:25:19 for in the series. [music]
1:25:22 >> Marlin strike on Jaylen Baskin.
1:25:30 [music]
1:25:32 >> JV on the plane with him yesterday. Tell
1:25:34 you what, that guy talk about being
1:25:36 loose right now. He's loose as he sends
1:25:38 one down third base side into the crowd.
1:25:41 Oh, Jordan Bar. What an attempt on the
1:25:43 tarp, but not to be.
1:25:46 He was singing uh mambo number five the
1:25:50 entire bus ride. Once we got off the
1:25:52 plane, the bus ride, the hotel, it was
1:25:53 it mambo number five. For some reason,
1:25:56 we may or may not find out why that is
1:25:58 tonight. I'm I'm unsure, but a lot of
1:26:00 mambo number five out of Vasquez.
1:26:04 Hopefully, we find out at some point. I
1:26:05 I'm serious. I don't know why he was
1:26:07 singing. Might be his favorite song or
1:26:08 something. I don't know. Mrs. Upway,
1:26:10 runs it full.
1:26:19 Out of play.
1:26:22 >> Brian Dancer lured first. Not the most
1:26:25 aggressive lead I've ever seen. Payoff
1:26:28 pitch from Sanchez.
1:26:31 >> Back-to-back Clowns reach the lead off
1:26:34 the inning. Jaylen Vasquez now two for
1:26:36 two tonight.
1:26:38 >> He's had a couple special weekends this
1:26:40 year as well. you know, getting to go
1:26:41 home play in Charleston Fort Dorchester
1:26:44 grad, then going and playing at North
1:26:46 playing at Greenville a couple weekends
1:26:47 ago where he finished up his collegiate
1:26:50 career at North Greenville University.
1:26:51 Now, back to the top of the order here.
1:26:53 Cowboy Joe
1:26:56 had a single to lead off the ball game.
1:26:58 Would come around to score the long run
1:27:00 thus far for the Clowns on Pass ball.
1:27:05 >> Been wearing that turtleneck
1:27:07 here tonight. Cowboy Joe has since taken
1:27:09 it off.
1:27:10 started the ball game with it. Didn't
1:27:11 need an undershirt. Why would he need it
1:27:15 >> when you got power like that? Three
1:27:17 straight weekends with a bomb for Cowboy
1:27:20 Joe
1:27:25 in a threerun bomb at that.
1:27:30 Talk about guys that are on fire.
1:27:33 It's that man right now from
1:27:34 Mississippi.
1:27:50 Talk about the trifecta. A three-run
1:27:52 home run for number three Joe Gray. His
1:27:55 third of 2026.
1:27:59 >> The first home run that Brett Sanchez
1:28:01 has conceded since Florida State against
1:28:04 Jackson Olsen.
1:28:06 That was on February the 28th. Today,
1:28:09 May 7th,
1:28:13 Sanche has been special, but four runs
1:28:16 the Clowns have played it against him
1:28:18 tonight. All earned
1:28:20 only translated to one point thus far.
1:28:22 Still none out here in the top of the
1:28:25 fifth inning.
1:28:27 >> Jackie's ahead three and one.
1:28:31 Now got a payoff pitch coming.
1:28:34 Jackie also had a single back in that
1:28:35 first inning. [music]
1:28:40 >> Got to talk to Jackie earlier today. He
1:28:42 talked about how much Richmond really
1:28:43 meant meant to him. You know,
1:28:44 back-to-back weekends playing in the
1:28:46 Palmetto State [music] where he played
1:28:47 college ball and last weekend in
1:28:49 Richmond. How cool that moment was with
1:28:51 his mom. He said he didn't sleep very
1:28:54 much. The one thing he'd been looking
1:28:56 forward to to Tulsa, being able to get
1:28:58 him some rest right there. He'll have to
1:29:01 exert some energy. A ball for sprint.
1:29:04 JBJ will just hold on over there at
1:29:06 first.
1:29:12 >> Clowns
1:29:13 >> after that trick play missed again to
1:29:15 start the inning. Single three-run homer
1:29:17 ball for a sprint here.
1:29:20 >> See Brett Sanchez's pitch count getting
1:29:22 up near 80.
1:29:24 See some movement out in the Clowns
1:29:26 bullpen. We assume we'd see a tailgator
1:29:28 get up and moving as well here. One and0
1:29:30 to Bobby Leay. He's reached both times
1:29:32 here tonight. Sing on a trick play
1:29:34 missed.
1:29:38 >> Really think Bobby, you know that that
1:29:39 average getting down there in the 270 is
1:29:41 not reflective of how hard of an at bat
1:29:43 he is. Guy who's hit some would maybe
1:29:46 call it a skid as Wow. Foul tip. Thank
1:29:50 you. Thank you. Thank you. What I was
1:29:52 looking at right there is Brett Sanchez
1:29:54 threw that pitch. Gage Vorhees was still
1:29:57 in play picking up the foul tip.
1:30:01 I've never seen that in Manable. I've
1:30:03 never seen that any ratchi
1:30:05 just working with some pace now. Todd
1:30:07 trying to back pick Jackie over at
1:30:09 first. Not intact.
1:30:13 Taylor Justice, I guess. Think about a
1:30:15 hidden ball trick or something. Finally
1:30:17 throws it back to Sanchez. Bell Francis
1:30:19 Jr.
1:30:22 >> Sword
1:30:23 ball and a strike.
1:30:30 Great pitch there and Brett Sanchez got
1:30:34 a ball in two.
1:30:39 >> Fair late signal there from Seth
1:30:41 Markham. Brother will find it. Splash
1:30:44 will stay at first. Jackie goes first to
1:30:46 third. And this is this terrorizing
1:30:49 clowns offense that we all know and
1:30:51 love. One of the very best offenses all
1:30:54 the Banana Ball Championship League. And
1:30:56 they've come to play here plating three
1:30:58 already in the top of the fifth. And now
1:31:00 there's some construction workers down
1:31:02 the third baseline. Nicoizer's
1:31:14 house.
1:31:17 [music] She's
1:31:19 just letting it all hang out. She's our
1:31:23 house.
1:31:36 What y'all know about the Commodores?
1:31:39 >> What y'all know about the Commodores?
1:31:42 >> More specifically, what y'all know about
1:31:44 Lionel Richie?
1:31:48 >> What y'all know about Nicole size for
1:31:50 that matter?
1:31:53 >> That has a great walk up, man.
1:31:56 Not all the time talking about serving
1:31:57 face.
1:31:59 >> I don't know what that is. It's a man in
1:32:01 a construction vest.
1:32:04 >> Who just served you a little bit at the
1:32:05 Commodore and a brick house
1:32:11 >> ball in a strike.
1:32:18 >> Oh, Nico got under that one.
1:32:21 >> Tailing towards out of play. Wad giving
1:32:23 it some chase. hits off the net.
1:32:27 >> Great effort there.
1:32:30 >> Look at Wii having a little conversation
1:32:32 over there with some fans at the net.
1:32:35 >> Really tough play to make there. Nico
1:32:37 tonight 0 for two with a couple
1:32:38 strikeouts. [music]
1:32:40 One strike away from making it three on
1:32:41 the night.
1:32:43 >> One and two. Glown starting to pile it
1:32:46 on here in the top of the fifth. Only
1:32:48 one away. Nico does make it 0 for three
1:32:52 with three ponches. Thank you. Thank
1:32:53 you. Thank you yet again from Brett
1:32:55 Sanchez. His sixth of the ball game
1:32:58 continuing to extend out his banana ball
1:33:00 championship league in that category in
1:33:01 Paul James
1:33:06 Kobe. That's very correct. Commodores
1:33:08 aren't easy like Sunday morning. That's
1:33:10 good stuff. Well,
1:33:15 >> Hunter Ives their home plate umpire said
1:33:16 that one missed. Foul tip back the net.
1:33:19 A ball in a strike.
1:33:29 Two balls on a strike on Corell Prime.
1:33:31 The sun here really only just shining
1:33:33 out on that left center field. Burm
1:33:35 right now. Right side. Sunshine.
1:33:39 Tip drill. Book it. Book it.
1:33:45 And scuba from Fiverr.
1:33:48 10 to two. to the tailgator lead in the
1:33:51 trick play battle,
1:33:53 but the Clowns plating three
1:33:58 in that inning. Big thanks all of it to
1:34:00 Cowboy Joe Gray Jr.
1:34:03 and he knew it.
1:34:06 Got the hands down.
1:34:08 Just drop a gear and disappear on that
1:34:10 banana ball. His third homer of 2026.
1:34:15 >> And now let's send it out to Matty
1:34:17 Warren talking. Well, America's favorite
1:34:19 grill artist.
1:34:21 >> Andrew Bartman, I have been watching you
1:34:23 over here just sweating out over this
1:34:24 grill all day. And people don't know
1:34:26 that you do this every single game. Can
1:34:28 you ballpark for me about how many hot
1:34:30 dogs you think you've made and handed
1:34:31 out tonight? [music]
1:34:33 >> Well, the pregame tailgate also is about
1:34:35 two and a half hours of cooking. We go
1:34:37 through about 200 there. I'll probably
1:34:39 do another 75 to 100 tonight between our
1:34:43 players when they reach base. Um I hope
1:34:45 I have like 30 of those. That'd be
1:34:46 great. And then kids see me doing it and
1:34:49 all of a sudden I'm handing out hot dogs
1:34:50 and we're getting flooded with kids down
1:34:51 here. So,
1:34:52 >> well, hey, I think I need to take a bite
1:34:54 out of one of these to really be like
1:34:55 the end- all beall judge of how good
1:34:57 these are.
1:34:58 >> You need ketchup or mustard.
1:34:59 >> You know what? No. I think I'm going to
1:35:00 get the true taste. Okay. All right. One
1:35:02 sec.
1:35:06 >> That's a 10 out of 10 anywhere.
1:35:08 >> Hey, thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
1:35:09 Come to Tailgator Game. You might get a
1:35:11 hot dog.
1:35:11 >> Brett, I have the best job. Back to you.
1:35:14 >> Can Bart bring me one? That's what I
1:35:16 want to know. Bart, will you please
1:35:19 bring me a gizzy? Bart, I need it.
1:35:23 Beautiful smoker down there. You just
1:35:25 had the player dance. Kobe Robinson
1:35:27 actually just got a gizzy from Bart down
1:35:29 there. I think Maddie just ate another
1:35:31 one. She's just She just ate three hot
1:35:35 dogs off the smoker. It's incredible
1:35:37 stuff. Really, Maddie.
1:35:40 Maddie is
1:35:42 hungry with I'm hungry actually. Come to
1:35:44 think I could eat about four hot dogs
1:35:46 right now. Chad with Fstead told me he
1:35:48 could eat five. Our producer over to the
1:35:50 right of us here. Great crew we have
1:35:52 tonight. Arch Pingle back in Savannah.
1:35:56 Chris Pyorov joining us earlier in the
1:35:58 booth.
1:35:59 Josh Richardson, our executive producer
1:36:02 watching on in [music] Savannah. Three
1:36:04 different cities yet again for our
1:36:05 beautiful sport of ball this weekend.
1:36:07 Firefighters playing the Coconuts in
1:36:09 Witchah, Kansas. How about that series
1:36:11 going to happen in the A this weekend at
1:36:12 truest park between those bananas and
1:36:14 part animals?
1:36:15 >> Part animals trying to write their
1:36:16 wrongs. Bananas trying to get back in
1:36:18 the win column. Jordan Bar gets himself
1:36:21 back in the hit category. A double and a
1:36:23 single [music]
1:36:24 on the line for that Minnesota playing
1:36:26 here in the Boomer Sooner State tonight
1:36:29 as Oh. Oh wow. You know,
1:36:32 >> I've seen a lot of ways you can feed
1:36:33 someone a gizzy. I don't know if I
1:36:35 necessarily would do that.
1:36:38 >> Now it's Taylor just David Griffin has
1:36:41 been rather efficient tonight.
1:36:43 Big reason due to those three walk-offs
1:36:45 the tailgator have against him. Would
1:36:46 have to plate four here in the inning to
1:36:49 walk it off in the fifth.
1:36:53 >> Two up.
1:36:56 >> Taylor 0 for one tonight.
1:37:06 >> [music]
1:37:09 >> David Griffin has only recorded two
1:37:10 outs.
1:37:12 >> Three outs, I should say, since the
1:37:14 first inning
1:37:15 >> right here. Back-to-back lead off base
1:37:17 runners. Taylor at first with the ball
1:37:20 for us. Brent Jordan Bar goes first to
1:37:22 third.
1:37:24 >> And yet again, the Tailgator offense
1:37:26 stays hot. [music]
1:37:29 is now his brother. He had a walk-off
1:37:31 ball for a sprint. His lone plate
1:37:32 appearance in the second tonight.
1:37:38 >> Guy with a lot of pop up there. Still
1:37:40 second in the BBCL entering tonight in
1:37:43 home runs with five of them. Kyle
1:37:46 Martin, the league leader, hit a
1:37:48 walk-off two-run bomb in the fourth.
1:37:52 >> Brother was swinging for [music]
1:37:53 defenses right there. Ball and a strike.
1:38:00 >> [music]
1:38:03 >> There's a lot of jubilant human beings
1:38:05 in the sport of banana ball. Perhaps
1:38:07 none as much as Jose Gonzalez.
1:38:11 I couldn't tell you how many times I've
1:38:13 seen him smile.
1:38:15 [music]
1:38:16 I' I've seen him not smile. Never.
1:38:19 >> Just a jubilant man. He's obviously
1:38:21 locked into the box right now, of
1:38:22 course, but always a big smile. such a
1:38:25 great locker room presence. [music]
1:38:27 >> You know, when when the tailgator, you
1:38:29 find way may whack poetically a little
1:38:30 bit more got him in the 10th round of
1:38:33 the player. You looked at his history
1:38:35 and you said, "There's no way this guy
1:38:37 failed the 10th round." But then you
1:38:38 meet him as a person and the fans versus
1:38:39 attitude he has. You really don't know
1:38:40 how he fell that far.
1:38:43 Smoke. Zack Watson. What a play down
1:38:46 there protecting JJ Cash, the roping
1:38:49 cowboy.
1:38:50 Yes, JJ. You almost hit with a foul
1:38:52 ball,
1:38:53 >> but good thanks to Wyo.
1:38:57 >> That's a ball for Is that not a ball for
1:38:59 Brent?
1:39:02 >> I had 3-2 count. Scorebug had it.
1:39:06 >> Sorry. Maybe [music] maybe I was
1:39:07 incorrect. Three and two now.
1:39:10 >> That's definitely a ball force break.
1:39:12 Two of them tonight for Brother. Both of
1:39:14 them plating a run.
1:39:17 brother trying to get two and he will.
1:39:21 So now the inning tying run represented
1:39:25 by Jos Gonzale ends at second. Two in
1:39:28 scoring position for Madoodle.
1:39:33 Mack had a single his long time at the
1:39:35 dish tonight. His lovely father Randy
1:39:38 text me and told me parents on a cruise
1:39:40 but still watching Banana Ball.
1:39:43 >> How cool is that?
1:39:52 called strike two and two said Mac went
1:39:54 around
1:39:58 >> tailgator's RBI leader from a year ago
1:40:00 trying to play two of them right here.
1:40:02 You talk about the relationship that
1:40:04 Mack and Zach Watson have. Their wives
1:40:06 drive all the way from Savannah. Drove
1:40:08 all the way from Savannah to Tulsa this
1:40:10 weekend. Got in a car together yesterday
1:40:12 morning. Jess and Eileen
1:40:15 >> drove I don't know how long it is 12 to
1:40:17 14 hours somewhere in that range and are
1:40:19 here in Tulsa this weekend cheer on
1:40:21 their hubbies
1:40:23 >> back yet again a lot of bags spent on
1:40:25 that one but we'll hit off the roof
1:40:30 >> David Griffin really been having a
1:40:32 workout there in [music] this one
1:40:34 >> talked about how the firefighters had
1:40:35 his number the tailgator have had it
1:40:37 here tonight trying to push this inning
1:40:38 at the very least Mac a big league take
1:40:41 to push it to two and two clowns Infield
1:40:43 in
1:40:56 >> I don't know what that hit off of. I'm
1:40:58 assuming the mint of Chris Burgess.
1:41:01 Not a foul tip. Did not hit M. Yep. Did
1:41:03 not hit Mac, I should say. So, another
1:41:06 three ball count. Ball four [music]
1:41:07 sprint here would tie up the inning.
1:41:10 >> M fouls it off.
1:41:14 >> [music]
1:41:16 >> Tailgator still showing some grit.
1:41:19 >> Didn't think he'd go away playing for
1:41:20 seating. Winning two games against those
1:41:22 bananas last weekend.
1:41:24 Now a payoff pitch [music] yet again.
1:41:27 Mack in the sky right side. Prime giving
1:41:30 it some chase.
1:41:32 Not caught by a fan.
1:41:37 The Clowns have induced the second most
1:41:39 fan caught foul balls this year, but
1:41:41 have yet to offensively foul out to a
1:41:43 fan
1:41:45 >> right there. A couple Clowns fans who
1:41:46 had the opportunity down the first base
1:41:48 sack
1:41:52 again right side fans another
1:41:54 opportunity. A high looper
1:41:58 that sails up on the concourse and back
1:42:00 into the crowd. [music]
1:42:03 >> Wow. Fisherwood line about this skyline
1:42:05 here in Tulsa. Beautiful spot. Made it a
1:42:08 time of the year where the sun stays up
1:42:09 just long enough. Can enjoy the city.
1:42:12 Mack out to center. Jackie doesn't have
1:42:16 to move that much.
1:42:19 Catches it. Powers up the throw.
1:42:22 No way you're going to run on JBJ.
1:42:25 Make out number one. Taylor Justice
1:42:27 stays put at third as without
1:42:32 >> now with one out. It's the quad foul.
1:42:35 Taj Porter,
1:42:36 >> the biggest, the largest from Mandville,
1:42:39 Louisiana. [music]
1:42:44 >> One of the three fan franchises for
1:42:46 these Texas Tailgators coming into 2026.
1:42:50 Has an opportunity [music]
1:42:51 to drive in a couple of his teammates.
1:42:54 Lively fast ball and that's a good two
1:42:56 seamer right there to get head and one
1:42:58 from David Griffin.
1:43:01 >> Highly touted draft pick in Griffin.
1:43:05 >> First true pitcher taken by the Clowns.
1:43:08 Carell Prime obviously a two-way player.
1:43:10 David Griffin the first pitcher only to
1:43:12 be taken in Clowns history. Their ace
1:43:14 right-hand trying to win him the second
1:43:16 point of the ball game.
1:43:18 >> He's ahead of Taj Porter [music] ball
1:43:20 and two strikes.
1:43:34 David Griffin. That old school blood.
1:43:37 Played in some old school games with
1:43:38 guys like Tim Wakefield. God rest his
1:43:41 soul. David, excuse me, Pedro Martinez
1:43:45 >> up in Massachusetts.
1:43:48 [music]
1:43:51 T
1:43:52 >> stay in the line
1:43:54 >> and a guy who's been a goatson again for
1:43:56 them as their ace this year
1:43:58 >> and maybe hasn't had his best stuff here
1:44:00 [music] tonight but trying to lock it
1:44:02 down at his most important potentially
1:44:04 final inning of his out
1:44:08 a big league take and we've run it full
1:44:10 yet again David Griffin has had a couple
1:44:13 calls where he's disagreed with Hunter
1:44:14 IS jokingly tapped his head the ABS his
1:44:18 challenge moments ago right there. Just
1:44:20 stares at eyes in disbelief. The 3-2.
1:44:23 Tai fouls it off himself. There may not
1:44:26 be a more unlucky pitcher, unlucky
1:44:31 catcher I should say, in this sport
1:44:32 [music] than Tai's point. Amount of foul
1:44:34 balls, he hits off himself at the dish.
1:44:36 Amount of foul tips he gets behind the
1:44:37 dish defensively. He's tough as nails.
1:44:41 They make him that way in Louisiana.
1:44:42 Ties would tell you as much. That's his
1:44:44 cage and blood. The 3-2 yet again. Right
1:44:46 side Kirkland Banks. Oh, Kirkland has
1:44:49 trouble. Goes home with it. Throw gets
1:44:51 away. Chris Burgess can't find it. Both
1:44:55 runners come home to score. What was a
1:44:58 routine grounder to second and Taj
1:45:02 advances up to second.
1:45:09 >> So an E4 on Kirkland Banks
1:45:13 allows both of those runners to come
1:45:15 home and score. And now the inning is at
1:45:18 least a wash here for the tailgates.
1:45:22 >> So you'd call it a fieldielder's choice
1:45:25 >> is how Taj was able to reach. Oh
1:45:35 >> now Indiana Stanley hit on the noggin.
1:45:43 >> Gosh, I've been looking forward to that
1:45:45 hit by Pit Sy for a while.
1:45:47 That's incredible stuff.
1:45:49 >> Jordan Watson, our director of
1:45:51 entertainment.
1:45:52 >> She sends me more Tik [music] Toks than
1:45:54 Instagram than my ex-girlfriend did. And
1:45:56 she sent him a lot. She was chronically
1:45:57 on her phone. Let [music] me tell you,
1:45:59 Jordan is always trying to bust the
1:46:01 experience. Always sending me these
1:46:02 outputs. [music] And that was one she
1:46:04 sent me this past week. I said, "We got
1:46:05 to put that in the show." I was so happy
1:46:07 it made it in there.
1:46:09 >> Jordan Hussein.
1:46:14 Jordan Hussein ball and a strike on him.
1:46:20 >> Guy who had a walk-off last weekend at
1:46:22 Cowfield trying to walk off this fifth
1:46:24 inning.
1:46:27 >> Hit up the middle. Bobby Leay trying to
1:46:29 turn two. Six four three double play.
1:46:34 And even though the Clowns do not win
1:46:38 the inning, they still push. Three-run
1:46:41 homer from Joe Gray Jr., negated by
1:46:43 three runs by the Tailgator in the home
1:46:45 half.
1:46:46 >> Clean his silk on that double play as
1:46:47 well.
1:46:49 >> Brett Sanchez. What an outing from him.
1:46:56 Six strikeouts [music] from Sanchez. 35
1:46:59 of them on the air. Still pacing all the
1:47:01 Banana Ball Championship League.
1:47:05 Lot of thank yous.
1:47:07 What would that put [music] us at? Three
1:47:09 times 18. Thank you Houston.
1:47:13 From Bell Haven University's finest
1:47:16 office
1:47:17 >> as now he'll turn it over to his
1:47:19 roommate.
1:47:22 >> The other of the three Bretts. You've
1:47:24 heard from Brett Loft. That's me here
1:47:25 tonight. You heard from Brett Sanchez
1:47:27 who was also on the mic for us earlier.
1:47:28 Now it's Brett Donnie Allen. The wonder
1:47:31 from down under who would take the
1:47:33 reigns on the bump here for the boys in
1:47:34 blue and orange in the sixth inning.
1:47:36 Again, we [cheering] say it about Donnie
1:47:37 every time. You can see it on these
1:47:39 stats. It's all about the ball for
1:47:42 sprints. Donnie, when he's in the zone,
1:47:45 dang near unhitable. When he's not in
1:47:47 the zone, guys aren't chasing him. And
1:47:50 they've been getting on base via free
1:47:51 passes. [music] Another one of those
1:47:53 visitors playing in this bowl game here
1:47:55 tonight. He and Brett Sanchez, actually
1:47:57 the only two visitors we have from 2025.
1:48:01 You know, I have a Gizzy that was
1:48:03 brought to me by Beef Daddy up here in
1:48:05 the booth. I would assume from the
1:48:07 smoker of Andrew Bartman. Mattie Warren
1:48:10 said it was pretty good. I've had a
1:48:12 Bartman dog a time or two. So you guys
1:48:15 might can get a look at it here in the
1:48:16 booth. I I shall try to consume it here.
1:48:21 I want to show you guys the unconsumed
1:48:22 Lizzy. All right, here we go. This is
1:48:24 for you, America. [music]
1:48:29 Very truthful. Very truthful.
1:48:32 If I had to rate this glitzy on a scale
1:48:34 of one to 10,
1:48:37 >> don't tell them I said it. I'm g like a
1:48:39 six. No, like a like a like a seven
1:48:42 three.
1:48:44 >> Very juiceful.
1:48:47 >> The more the more I let it,
1:48:49 >> the more I let it sit, I'm really
1:48:52 telling you what it it may be like an 82
1:48:55 actually. the the way the way the Gizzy
1:48:58 goes down, way you can digest it. Very
1:49:01 important. Make maybe think of more like
1:49:03 [music] 82 then actually on that. Good
1:49:05 stuff from Bart. Donnie starts off Chris
1:49:08 Burgess with a ball.
1:49:11 Burgess 0 for two tonight and got maybe
1:49:16 clipped on one of the plays of the year.
1:49:18 A triple trick play [music] double play
1:49:19 his last time up.
1:49:28 Two in one.
1:49:30 >> Tell you what, this dude Chris Burg is
1:49:32 coming into his home.
1:49:34 >> Made from Lethonia, Georgia
1:49:37 smokes it down the left field line.
1:49:40 >> CB getting on his horse
1:49:44 >> and will leg up a stand up double
1:49:47 matters here in the six
1:49:50 on Q. Like I told you, he's coming in
1:49:52 his own
1:49:53 threw out a wouldbe base steal and
1:49:56 Jordan Hussein behind the plate. Extra
1:49:58 base hit right there.
1:50:01 Be just the second extra base hit of the
1:50:03 night. The first one that stayed in the
1:50:05 yard. That three-run homer from Joe Gray
1:50:07 Junior is the only other extra base hit
1:50:08 the Clowns have. Flash running at
1:50:10 second. Malachi [music] Mitchell. Yeah,
1:50:13 we say it every time. He's leading the
1:50:14 Banana Ball Championship League in
1:50:15 steals with 12 of them. So, he's a
1:50:18 danger to run out there at second. Eli
1:50:19 Payton. Oh, puts a drive into it to
1:50:22 right field. Eli Payton goes, "Yeah."
1:50:31 [cheering]
1:50:33 >> Another guy who's just been on an
1:50:35 absolute tear.
1:50:38 His fourth home run of the year.
1:50:43 >> Backto back innings with Yaya for these
1:50:45 clients.
1:50:57 That banana ball got out of here in a
1:50:59 hurry.
1:51:01 And now Donnie
1:51:03 trying to recompose himself gets his
1:51:06 visitor teammate of 2025, Brian Dancero
1:51:09 to swinging miss.
1:51:13 Matty Warren has sent me a text
1:51:15 >> and told me that I am wrong that this is
1:51:17 a fantastic hot dog.
1:51:19 >> I would agree. It is a very good blizzy
1:51:22 right side. Jonathan Sunshine looters
1:51:24 between the legs. Oh, dropped by Taylor
1:51:27 Justice at first.
1:51:30 a trick play miss on Taylor Justice
1:51:34 [music]
1:51:35 >> which at this point in the ball game I
1:51:38 don't want to be
1:51:40 man to be critic of Taylor Justice for
1:51:43 going for that trip already two coming
1:51:45 across in that two-run bomb from Eli
1:51:47 Payton
1:51:49 as Kirkland Banks now hitting in the
1:51:50 spot of Jaylen Vasquez.
1:51:52 >> You're up 10 to2 in trick play.
1:51:56 equalizer point very much so probably
1:51:58 not going to come into place tonight for
1:51:59 the Clowns. Maybe that's a play you just
1:52:01 make. However, [music]
1:52:04 >> trying to continue
1:52:07 to accumulate those trick plays. 191 of
1:52:09 them on the year for the Tailgator as it
1:52:12 currently stands. [music]
1:52:15 >> Taylor Justice has been as tricky as any
1:52:17 first base. Put him in the conversation
1:52:19 with Mason Maxwell. The firefighters
1:52:21 obviously Carell Prime Eric Jones Jr.
1:52:24 when he's over there for the
1:52:25 firefighters as well. Taylor Justice.
1:52:28 Ah, I couldn't get to that one.
1:52:30 Brian Dancer on his horse. Brother comes
1:52:34 up fire in the third, but not in time.
1:52:38 This 10th hole spot has been exceptional
1:52:40 tonight. Jaylen Basket had two singles.
1:52:42 [music] Kirkland Banks comes into the
1:52:44 10th hole, adds another single to that
1:52:46 resume. Now we'll turn over the lineup
1:52:48 to a man who hit it one a long ways his
1:52:50 last time up. [music] Cowboy Joe
1:52:52 >> who now has the turtleneck back on. Why
1:52:55 would you put the turtleneck back on Joe
1:52:57 [music]
1:52:58 had it off when he goes three-run yaya
1:53:01 last time up now puts it back on. I just
1:53:03 I I don't know if that's something I get
1:53:05 behind. And I know I'm the one who asked
1:53:07 him to put the turtleneck on this
1:53:08 morning in the hotel.
1:53:11 >> Doesn't matter.
1:53:13 Cowboy Joe
1:53:17 foul.
1:53:19 Oh man.
1:53:22 Goodness gracious. How many feet did
1:53:24 that miss by Riley Turner?
1:53:27 Four feet maybe outside the pole. Man,
1:53:31 Cowboy Joe.
1:53:33 That ball touched the heavens and was
1:53:36 hit back to Texas.
1:53:38 Instead, it was just a long strike.
1:53:40 Kirkland takes off. Taj drops it on the
1:53:43 transfer.
1:53:46 Those two have a bit of a bet going by
1:53:48 the way. Taj Porter, Kirkland [music]
1:53:49 Banks. Very, very, very close friends.
1:53:52 Both have Louisiana ties. And Kirkland
1:53:55 said he was going to get quite a few
1:53:56 stolen bases on Taj this weekend.
1:53:59 Donnie able to get the pawn check
1:54:03 for out number one.
1:54:06 So, a long strike [music]
1:54:08 in route to a strike out of Joe Gray Jr.
1:54:11 Now Jackie Bradley Jr.
1:54:14 >> infield in with one out, two in scoring
1:54:15 possession
1:54:22 over the head of Taylor Justice who was
1:54:24 playing in.
1:54:26 Kirkland comes home to score as well and
1:54:28 a two-run single from JBJ. Now makes it
1:54:32 four runs who have plated this inning
1:54:35 for the Clowns. And now run Silly. What
1:54:37 do they got?
1:54:40 >> [music]
1:54:48 >> Give me
1:55:06 number seven, Bobby.
1:55:11 That was a tough play
1:55:14 for
1:55:14 >> Taylor Justice to try to make again.
1:55:16 Probably a routine ball if he's playing
1:55:18 back, but infield in with two runners in
1:55:19 score position there. Jackie Bradley Jr.
1:55:22 continues his incredible run. [music]
1:55:25 Continues to pace the Banana Ball
1:55:27 Championship League in Ribby's as well
1:55:29 as that was number 24 and 25 for him on
1:55:32 the
1:55:35 >> Bobby L on the strap.
1:55:44 We've talked about it to Donnie Allen
1:55:46 and being in the zone has been the
1:55:47 issue. He's been in the zone here, but a
1:55:49 Clown's lineup you can't make too many
1:55:51 mistakes to. [music]
1:55:53 >> Even pitches that haven't been mistakes
1:55:54 in this inning, they've still punished.
1:55:57 [music]
1:56:06 It's a two-1 to Bobby. Caught him square
1:56:09 in the seventh.
1:56:12 Puts him on first and second.
1:56:15 >> Clowns scoring three in the fifth. Not
1:56:17 enough again. Pushing that inning. Now
1:56:19 four here in the sixth.
1:56:22 Still could add some more insurance.
1:56:26 Dale Francis Jr. at the dish. Single
1:56:28 last time up. Extended his hitting
1:56:30 streak out to nine games. Fans an
1:56:33 opportunity.
1:56:35 Oh, off of a hand
1:56:37 >> somewhere in America right now.
1:56:39 Actually, I know where in America.
1:56:41 Witchah, Kansas. AJ Swine Tech is
1:56:43 screaming for you to bring your glove to
1:56:44 a banana ball game.
1:56:47 >> 0 and2.
1:56:58 >> Oh, this one goes to the back stop.
1:57:00 Taj tried to [music] backpick and go
1:57:02 between the legs. Oh, Jackie being
1:57:04 aggressive. Got about 20 ft down the
1:57:07 third baseline for other feet. It's a
1:57:09 wild pitch. So, the Clowns now put two
1:57:12 in scoring position in Leeday and JBJ.
1:57:19 Infield yet again in for the tailgate.
1:57:24 >> Pistol squad on one, two,
1:57:27 two balls and two strikes.
1:57:31 >> [music]
1:57:41 [music]
1:57:42 >> Hope right side. Sunny
1:57:45 trick play. Trick play. Book it. Book
1:57:47 it.
1:57:49 >> And keeps Taggie Bradley at third.
1:57:53 >> Trick plays 11 and 12 in this ball game
1:57:55 for the tailgate.
1:58:00 >> [music]
1:58:01 >> Talk about the aggressiveness of Taylor
1:58:03 Justice going for trick plays. That's
1:58:04 why you do it right there. Nikos prays
1:58:07 it to center
1:58:09 >> as Indiana Stanley, his roommate, will
1:58:12 leap up and have it for out number
1:58:14 three. But not before come home. Two-run
1:58:18 homer for Eli Payton. Two-run single for
1:58:20 Jackie Bradley Jr. There [music] for the
1:58:22 clowns
1:58:24 to infinity and something. They said
1:58:26 your mom.
1:58:27 >> What are you doing out in center field?
1:58:31 >> Well, all right, ladies and gentlemen,
1:58:33 we have got a race for the ages that's
1:58:36 out of this world. And by out of this
1:58:38 world, I mean all the way out here in
1:58:40 the outfield. All right. These two young
1:58:42 fellas that you see running to their
1:58:44 spots here, they got a goal and it's
1:58:46 very simple. They're going to run from
1:58:47 all the way out here in the outfield to
1:58:49 second base and pick up with a catch
1:58:52 each other's moms. Once they pick up
1:58:54 each other's moms, they're going to race
1:58:55 from second all the way home. We like to
1:58:58 call this one to infinity and your mom.
1:59:01 Fellas, are you ready? On your marks,
1:59:04 get set, go.
1:59:09 >> Oh, he's Oh, he's got a heavy lead. A
1:59:12 heavy lead. Oh, he's coming for your
1:59:14 mother. He's coming for her. Oh, she's
1:59:16 there. Oh, [screaming]
1:59:17 he's picking her up. He's picking up.
1:59:19 Oh, she Oh, come on. Come on. All the
1:59:22 way home.
1:59:23 >> [screaming]
1:59:23 >> Oh no. And they take a tumble. They take
1:59:26 a tumble. And he's going to take it all
1:59:28 the way home. Ladies and gentlemen, your
1:59:32 winner of to infinity and your mom.
1:59:36 [music]
1:59:44 [music]
1:59:48 Clark Gilmore, the new arm on the bump
1:59:50 here for the Indianapolis Clowns.
1:59:53 [music]
1:59:53 Clarky Oabio been throwing the pill
1:59:56 pretty well, including that trick pitch
1:59:59 strikeout. So the MVP front runner of
2:00:02 Kaden Peanut Green last weekend in
2:00:04 Richmond. Five strikeouts, the two ball
2:00:06 four sprints. Erra just above league
2:00:09 average. 771.
2:00:12 Such an great entertainment player. Hey,
2:00:14 Clark. He said he was going to wave to
2:00:16 me. And there he does. Notre Dame
2:00:18 product on the mop. We got the man from
2:00:21 Mississippi,
2:00:23 Joe Gray. How you doing, my friend?
2:00:25 Cowboy Joe Gray. Excuse me. My father's
2:00:26 going to send me a text about that. Joe,
2:00:28 how you doing?
2:00:28 >> It's all good. Talk to me.
2:00:30 >> All right. Here's what I want to know.
2:00:31 Oh, man. Come on. Had to evade that bat.
2:00:33 KB, do something. Book it.
2:00:36 >> All right. This is what I want to know.
2:00:38 You took the turtleneck off.
2:00:40 >> Uh,
2:00:41 >> you hit one about 380 ft. Yeah,
2:00:44 >> you put it back on and you know it's
2:00:46 just karma. You barely miss one by about
2:00:48 4 feet, but you hit it about 500. So,
2:00:50 >> yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It just uh we going to
2:00:52 blame it on that. We going to blame it
2:00:53 on me trying to do too much after that
2:00:55 first swing. You know what I'm saying?
2:00:57 That's what it was. But uh you know,
2:01:00 not going to lie, they had me they had
2:01:02 me he went ahead and miked me up and so
2:01:04 I could hear you saying it and I was
2:01:06 like Brett just did me so wrong. I'm
2:01:09 like I know it's coming. I know a K
2:01:10 coming now. Oh, you could hear me during
2:01:13 that at bath.
2:01:13 >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like, I know it
2:01:15 can't come.
2:01:15 >> Well, then you heard me lost my mind. I
2:01:17 absolutely thought you hit that one to
2:01:19 Kingdom Come.
2:01:19 >> I know. I know. Oh, trust me. I know.
2:01:21 But I was like I was like, "Ah,
2:01:24 look. It's just a baseball guys. You're
2:01:26 right." Like I I hit that ball and I had
2:01:28 no shirt on. They said they said that I
2:01:30 put the shirt on. That's that's my
2:01:32 fault.
2:01:32 >> Trick play for Bobby Lay right there
2:01:34 against Zack Watson. Uh Joe, why did you
2:01:37 wear the turtleneck today? Tell America
2:01:39 the truth,
2:01:39 >> man. you know, you know, coming into the
2:01:44 to the hotel, running to my boy Brett,
2:01:47 he said, "Hey, bro, I need you to wear
2:01:49 the turtleneck tomorrow." You know what
2:01:51 I'm saying? He said, he said, "It's
2:01:52 drippy." So, I I put it on and I, you
2:01:56 know, I've been getting compliments
2:01:57 from. So, sometimes no shirt, sometimes
2:02:00 I'm going to put this turn neck on.
2:02:02 >> You know, they they put us in the same
2:02:03 boat as fashionistas. Um, they're also
2:02:05 starting to put you up there as one of
2:02:07 the best hitters in his Clowns lineup.
2:02:09 Three straight weekends with a home run.
2:02:11 Joe, why has it been looking so big for
2:02:13 you up there right now? That banana ball
2:02:14 looks like a beach ball.
2:02:15 >> Man, I'm You know, the biggest thing and
2:02:17 the the best way I could put this in a
2:02:19 short
2:02:20 >> Oh, go make a play. I got it. I got it.
2:02:25 [laughter and screaming]
2:02:28 >> Hey, got that. Got that on camera. You
2:02:30 see me, Brett? Kill my boy Joe in a
2:02:33 minute and 55 seconds in.
2:02:41 You better never take that turn on that
2:02:43 car.
2:02:44 >> I better not, huh?
2:02:45 >> I better not, huh? [laughter]
2:02:47 >> That's Cowboy Joe Ray Jr. I love you,
2:02:49 brother.
2:02:49 >> You know I love you, too.
2:02:50 >> Oh, man.
2:02:52 >> That's That's Wow. We've had two of
2:02:56 maybe my favorite
2:02:58 miked up moments ever is now man who
2:03:01 went yard earlier is going to join our
2:03:03 very own Matty Warren. Matty, who you
2:03:05 got down there? I got Elite Payton down
2:03:07 here. Eli, first of all, great home run.
2:03:09 I said earlier, you know, that just
2:03:10 looked way too easy for you. Um, this
2:03:12 Clown's offense tonight. What the heck
2:03:14 is going on?
2:03:15 >> When the boys get hot, we get really
2:03:16 hot. So, we're swinging it really well
2:03:18 tonight. We got a short field and right
2:03:20 We got a short porch in right field and
2:03:22 uh I hit a home run. So, it was pretty
2:03:23 sick.
2:03:24 >> Now, I feel like this was an unrelated
2:03:26 question, but now it feels kind of
2:03:27 related. Um, opinions on Joe Grey Jr.'s
2:03:29 turtleneck.
2:03:31 >> You know, I'm just going to let him do
2:03:32 what he does. He's a dog. Hey, he's
2:03:34 doing what he does and it's working
2:03:36 apparently. And Brett, it was your call.
2:03:37 So that's all you.
2:03:39 >> I'm just trying to help guys hit home
2:03:41 runs. I can't tell them how to hit the
2:03:44 banana ball. But I know what works.
2:03:46 Turtlenecks work. Ora works. Drip works.
2:03:50 And a man who knows a lot about that,
2:03:51 his name's Joe Spoon from Broom,
2:03:53 Pennsylvania. The heart thrive of the
2:03:55 blue and orange comes on to throw the
2:03:58 pill here for the tailgator.
2:04:04 >> [cheering]
2:04:07 >> Jo
2:04:09 >> if we if we may look at his season
2:04:11 stats. Shall we look at his season
2:04:13 stats?
2:04:15 >> We shall.
2:04:17 RA is getting lower by the end. Only one
2:04:19 strike out this year for Joe,
2:04:22 >> but we're going to talk about forever
2:04:24 that outing he had at the open. We had
2:04:26 three ground balls, all three trick
2:04:28 plays, winning the tailgator the
2:04:29 equalizer point in game one of the
2:04:31 banana ball open championship final
2:04:33 against those bananas. He misses high to
2:04:35 Carell Prime. [music]
2:04:38 Three to2 ball game now.
2:04:41 Clown Stein trying to stay hot at the
2:04:43 dish. Two and0
2:04:48 Oklahoma man. Ain't no love in Oklahoma.
2:04:50 That's what Luke Col said I don't
2:04:53 believe it. A lot of love here. A lot of
2:04:55 great people here welcoming a brand that
2:04:58 has Texas in their name
2:05:01 with open arms this weekend.
2:05:04 Hit off the end of that. Taylor Justice
2:05:06 flips it to Joe's Peron. Bare hand book
2:05:09 it.
2:05:10 What a play. That was a tough one on
2:05:13 both ends right there. Tailgators
2:05:18 had another trick play. Joe just got
2:05:21 there. [laughter]
2:05:22 Little prime time high stepping back to
2:05:24 the mound. I know about Dion Sanders.
2:05:31 >> One and0 to Chris Burgess. [music]
2:05:34 Chris had a double that started that
2:05:35 rally a couple innings back.
2:05:39 >> Actually, last inning I should say. What
2:05:40 are we talking about here? Had a double
2:05:42 to begin the sixth inning.
2:05:44 He's in a driver's seat here. Two and0.
2:05:48 Make it three and 0.
2:05:50 Joe, if you've noticed, has been
2:05:52 pitching every time Taj Porter has been
2:05:53 catching. These two guys live together
2:05:55 back in Savannah. Great rapport between
2:05:57 Taj [music] and Joe. Burgess was already
2:05:59 running him before that pitch got there.
2:06:01 Chris
2:06:02 will think about two, but that's all
2:06:04 it'll be as a thought
2:06:07 as Flash will come over and run for him.
2:06:10 Flash not a stolen base tonight. The
2:06:12 long stolen base in the ball game
2:06:13 belongs to Kirkland Banks.
2:06:16 Either one of these two teams.
2:06:19 Clowns have played eight runs.
2:06:21 Tailgator have played seven thus far.
2:06:23 But three to two, we stand in points.
2:06:25 Eli Payton. Did he do it again?
2:06:30 Yes. No.
2:06:33 Came off the base of the wall. I don't
2:06:35 know where it went. The relay throw back
2:06:37 in and not in time. An RBI triple.
2:06:42 Brother lost it. Indiana Stanley lost
2:06:44 it. Eli knew it was at all along.
2:06:48 And what about that? Eli Payeyton is a
2:06:50 double away from the cycle.
2:06:55 >> See it rattled off the wall there. Indie
2:06:57 went past him. Brother couldn't find it
2:07:00 [music] and Eli heads up base running as
2:07:02 now Kobe Robinson runs at third.
2:07:06 That That's correct. [music] Kobe
2:07:08 Robinson running at third. Flash just
2:07:10 came in and run for Chris Burgess. So is
2:07:13 Eli Payton.
2:07:14 >> Kobe Robinson is running at third.
2:07:17 It's interesting to look at. We'll have
2:07:19 to check in with that. Again, the
2:07:21 designated runner can be used one time
2:07:24 through the order, but it was just used
2:07:25 there as Flash came home to score after
2:07:28 he ran for Chris Burgess.
2:07:36 >> Ball for Brent. Dancer takes on
2:07:40 Kobe comes home to score easily from
2:07:41 third. Dance [music] stay over at first.
2:07:44 Third straight inning that the Clouds
2:07:46 have scored multi-runs.
2:07:53 >> And where is Kirkland Banks?
2:08:19 Now batting number two, Jaylen
2:08:27 >> Kirkland Banks,
2:08:30 not Jaylen Vasquez, but Kirkland Banks
2:08:32 sends it in the sky. First base side,
2:08:35 not caught by a fan. A man in a pink
2:08:37 polo, as you see at the bottom of your
2:08:38 screen. Use the hat.
2:08:41 Hard enough [music]
2:08:42 >> to catch it with a glove, much less a
2:08:44 hat.
2:08:45 >> Kirkland again sprays it right side, but
2:08:47 out of play.
2:08:58 >> Ghost perome trying to find it here.
2:09:01 I don't know if this is necessarily an
2:09:03 issue with the tailgator pitching staff
2:09:05 as [music] much as it is a compliment to
2:09:06 this Clown's line who again had been
2:09:09 putting up great numbers before tonight
2:09:11 anyway. Again, one of the most prolific
2:09:14 offenses in the Banana Ball Championship
2:09:15 League this year.
2:09:18 Kirkland high chopper left side. JB only
2:09:21 plays over at first. Oh, they'll try to
2:09:23 back pick second. Dance back in time.
2:09:27 That was almost one of the weirdest
2:09:28 double plays you'll ever see, but
2:09:30 instead it's just out number two.
2:09:39 >> Clowns now have 21 homers on the air.
2:09:42 This guy hit one earlier in Joe Gray Jr.
2:09:45 strikeout rate is what's really plagued
2:09:47 the Clowns this year
2:09:50 in 114 strikeouts entering tonight
2:09:53 with the second worst in all of
2:09:55 Bananaball as an offense. The only team
2:09:56 that struck out more as an offense are
2:09:58 the East Texas tailgator.
2:10:00 Joe
2:10:01 out to center.
2:10:03 Not even make it that far. Tip drill.
2:10:06 Book it. Book it. Yet again, Jonathan
2:10:10 Sunshine Looters and Jordan Hussein
2:10:12 again combined for a double tip drill
2:10:15 trick play. 14 and 15 on the evening.
2:10:21 >> Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the
2:10:24 t-shirt. Speaking of trick plays, let's
2:10:27 take a look at our trick plays here
2:10:29 tonight.
2:10:32 Again, there's been a lot of them. There
2:10:34 always is when the Texas Tailgator are
2:10:36 playing.
2:10:38 Clowns only have five of them here
2:10:40 tonight. A team that's been rather
2:10:42 inconsistent when it comes to tricks
2:10:43 this year, but when you're trying to win
2:10:44 Banana Ball's newest rule, the equalizer
2:10:46 point as the away team,
2:10:51 obviously [music] have to add up those
2:10:52 trick plays.
2:10:58 So, let's take a look at the trick plays
2:11:00 induced and the leaders there on the
2:11:03 bump this year.
2:11:06 Christian Davis, Brett Sanchez, [music]
2:11:08 David Griffin in three of the arms in
2:11:11 this series this weekend. Obviously,
2:11:13 this was entering [music] tonight.
2:11:14 Christian Davis was leading the league.
2:11:16 Rick Sanchez induced a few here and
2:11:18 David Griffin did as well, but that was
2:11:20 entering tonight's ball game. Trick
2:11:21 plays induced [music] as Clark Gilmore
2:11:23 beginning his second inning work. 10 to
2:11:25 Jordan Bart. JB just missed it. Dancer
2:11:31 ranging over towards foul territory. Oh,
2:11:33 that actually goes out of play. Hey,
2:11:35 what that wind is swirling, blowing out
2:11:37 left side.
2:11:40 Blowing in
2:11:42 but towards the left field. Excuse me, I
2:11:46 should say the third base center. Kind
2:11:48 of knocking down anything hit out the
2:11:49 left. That's why you seen that one Joe
2:11:51 Gray Jr. hit earlier was just that low
2:11:52 line drive is cut through the win.
2:11:56 Got it.
2:12:00 Pardon [music] me. Ball in two strikes.
2:12:03 Even I'm losing track of things here
2:12:04 tonight. I think it was that Gizzy Bart
2:12:06 gave me. Clark Jeter throw
2:12:10 >> sails over there towards Bart.
2:12:13 >> Jordan Bar with an infield single. That
2:12:16 Yeah, that' have been a tough play to
2:12:17 make then.
2:12:23 Jeter jump throw which we did see a few
2:12:27 weeks ago.
2:12:28 Was that last weekend in Richmond
2:12:30 actually Clark Gilmore able to make that
2:12:33 play.
2:12:35 Taylor Justice now
2:12:40 one and0. [music]
2:12:53 >> Taylor ball for sprint continuing his
2:12:55 own base streak his last time up.
2:12:59 >> Has reached base in all but one game
2:13:01 he's appeared in this year.
2:13:07 sprayed down the first base side but
2:13:08 into the net
2:13:11 >> right at the Biola College.
2:13:15 Heard of that place before. Came in
2:13:16 right after Robert Anthony Cruz at Biola
2:13:18 to Taylor Justice [music]
2:13:20 as he was able to evade that one. A wild
2:13:23 pitch.
2:13:24 >> Jordan Bar [music] now stands at second.
2:13:28 >> Tailgators would need two to wash.
2:13:29 Standing three to win it.
2:13:37 And that's what Taylor's done so well
2:13:38 this year.
2:13:39 >> Gets in these two strike counts and he
2:13:41 just fouls off everything.
2:13:48 >> Payoff pitch again [music]
2:13:49 and a ball for Sprint. Two of them
2:13:51 tonight. Bobby Leday, good pick.
2:13:54 >> Obviously won't prevent Jordan Bar from
2:13:56 [music] scoring here, but does prevent
2:13:58 Taylor Justice to first base.
2:14:04 Balls Championship League and walk-offs.
2:14:08 >> As the lights go out,
2:14:11 it's
2:14:11 >> cuz we're trying to find brothers
2:14:21 [singing]
2:14:24 [music]
2:14:26 at all.
2:14:33 >> [music]
2:14:39 >> All the
2:14:41 [music]
2:14:42 Tonight
2:14:46 we
2:15:02 Hey brother,
2:15:03 >> what y'all know about Shabuzzi.
2:15:09 >> Pretty cool walk up there from the Pride
2:15:11 of Spring, Texas.
2:15:15 >> See brother again, third played
2:15:18 appearance of the night. We don't have a
2:15:19 line for him. You know why? Cuz he's had
2:15:21 two ball for sprints.
2:15:23 >> Incredible [music] stuff. Both RBI ball
2:15:25 force sprints. Jacob Pippers now running
2:15:28 over at first. Brother
2:15:32 foul
2:15:39 >> quickly. 0 and two
2:15:45 >> out to center.
2:15:47 Jackie glides back.
2:15:50 >> They'll make the play for out number
2:15:52 one.
2:15:54 You know, it seemed as if these clowns
2:15:56 have conceded the fact that they're not
2:15:58 going to win the trick play battle here,
2:15:59 Tim.
2:16:00 >> And obviously in an inning where they
2:16:01 hold a one-run lead now two to one,
2:16:04 getting each out is going to be very
2:16:05 important because they can tie this ball
2:16:06 game up at three if they can win the
2:16:08 inning.
2:16:11 Madoodle
2:16:13 ball in those strikes. Single and a fly
2:16:15 out [music] for him tonight.
2:16:19 You know, and it was at this point last
2:16:21 year
2:16:22 >> where Mack had kind of hit a skid,
2:16:24 right? He those from about game 17 to
2:16:27 game 24. Mack really [music] felt like
2:16:30 he wasn't at his best. Obviously, last
2:16:32 year's only 33 game schedule. This year,
2:16:35 you know, [music] M game 1 to 10 was
2:16:36 trying to really find it. Now, game 10
2:16:38 on. M's been one of the best hitters in
2:16:43 proves to be true yet again.
2:16:45 driving a [cheering]
2:16:46 drawing, I should say, a ball for a
2:16:47 sprint. Jacob Pipper goes first to
2:16:50 third.
2:16:52 And it's something about this sport,
2:16:54 guys like Carell Prime, M Danford, this
2:16:56 guy coming up the dish, Taj Porter, Kyle
2:16:58 Martin say the same thing about Jackie
2:17:00 Bradley Jr. and other side, Joe Gray
2:17:02 Jr., it's when you get those volume abs,
2:17:06 some guys just go from being somebody
2:17:09 you may ride off earlier in the year to
2:17:11 one of the very best players in the
2:17:13 sport.
2:17:14 Taj falls behind an 0 and one.
2:17:16 >> The biggest, the largest has reached
2:17:19 twice tonight.
2:17:20 >> I love you too, Grub.
2:17:23 [music]
2:17:24 >> Love you too.
2:17:30 >> He loves all of you. Ooh,
2:17:34 >> ball and two strikes
2:17:37 >> on Southern University's five. [music]
2:17:44 in the sky. Won't lead the infield.
2:17:46 >> Payton calling everybody off.
2:17:49 >> Out number two.
2:17:53 >> Now Clark Gilmore
2:17:55 >> perhaps with the most one of the most
2:17:57 pivotal at bats he's had in his young
2:17:59 banana ball career.
2:18:01 >> Clouds up by one in the inning.
2:18:04 If
2:18:04 >> they could win the inning, they'd be
2:18:05 tied in the ball game. But it's banana
2:18:08 ball veteran Indiana Stanley.
2:18:12 his third year in the sport. The second
2:18:14 with the tailgators, a [music] 2022 CPL
2:18:16 banana.
2:18:19 >> Ton of banana land experience.
2:18:22 He walked off the third inning tonight
2:18:24 with a sack fly.
2:18:26 Andy still trying to find himself
2:18:29 a good groove at the dish. Tonight he's
2:18:31 had a good night. Has not been retired
2:18:33 sack or excuse me had the sack fly in
2:18:35 the RBI that led to a walk up and then
2:18:37 hit by a pitch. So, it's not officially
2:18:38 quartered at bat, I should say. In the
2:18:40 driver's seat here, two and one.
2:18:46 >> Deuce is wide. Two balls, two strikes,
2:18:48 two outs, two runners on.
2:18:50 >> Clark Gilmore, Indiana Stanley.
2:18:55 >> Fans, an opportunity to end the inning.
2:18:58 Nope.
2:19:03 Tulsa just as beautiful
2:19:07 >> now that the sun has went down and the
2:19:08 lights illuminate this beautiful place
2:19:12 at one Oak field.
2:19:16 Indie off the handle dance charging hard
2:19:19 and he will have it for out number
2:19:21 three.
2:19:23 Man, what an outing from Clark Gilmore.
2:19:26 Bend but don't break. And now a three3
2:19:30 ball game.
2:19:34 Clowns won the first frame. Tailgator
2:19:37 won the second, third, and fourth
2:19:39 frames. And the Clowns have come back
2:19:41 and won the last two frames here
2:19:45 as the Tailgator now have a new arm on
2:19:47 the mound. Zachary Blankenship
2:19:50 or affectionately known as Bam Bam.
2:19:55 Man, I love me some Bam Bam. I I know
2:19:56 we've gotten to talk about him some
2:19:58 points this year. I'd love to wax
2:19:59 poetically if I could about Bam Bam.
2:20:01 Again, I know we've told the story, but
2:20:03 it's it's too good to not tell again.
2:20:05 You know, Party Animal 23-24
2:20:08 last year comes in knowing he's going to
2:20:10 be a tailgator in the offseason. Was
2:20:12 injured in the 24 going in the 25 off
2:20:15 season, chooses to get surgery, an
2:20:18 injury that he had thought about playing
2:20:19 through, chooses to get surgery, knowing
2:20:21 the impact he can make as an entertainer
2:20:23 last year. Then [cheering] he signed
2:20:25 back as an entertainer player this year
2:20:26 for 2026. And Bam Bam now thrown in the
2:20:29 apron. First outing of the year came
2:20:32 against the Bananas at Chapel Hill.
2:20:33 Recorded one out. Pitched in the open.
2:20:35 Was a big time asset there. So far this
2:20:38 year has only thrown an inning and a
2:20:39 third
2:20:42 as I'm hearing the neon and world's
2:20:45 fastest inning music as Grub is
2:20:49 filming something that I surmise will be
2:20:51 on social media at some point this week.
2:20:54 I love Grub, man.
2:20:57 >> One of my favorite moments of the year,
2:20:59 speaking of Bam, is one of my favorite
2:21:00 humans and what he means to the culture,
2:21:03 the unculture being cultivated in that
2:21:04 tailgator locker room. One of my
2:21:06 favorite moments, grub, coming out in
2:21:08 Fris. Jackie
2:21:11 foul
2:21:16 >> shocker. Jackie Bradley Jr.'s having
2:21:17 another great banana ball game.
2:21:20 >> Two singles in a ball for Sprint
2:21:22 tonight.
2:21:23 >> [music]
2:21:24 >> I mean, if you had to cast a vote for
2:21:25 MVP right now,
2:21:27 >> the top three vote getters in my mind
2:21:29 would be Jackie Bradley Jr., Kaden
2:21:31 Green, and Kyle Martin. And I don't know
2:21:33 in what order. Jackie out to center
2:21:38 Indie. A great running grab as center
2:21:40 fielder on center fielder crime for out
2:21:42 number one.
2:21:48 >> Tailgators have all but locked up to
2:21:49 equalizer point again though. four trick
2:21:52 plays away
2:21:54 >> from getting to 200 on the year. That's
2:21:56 important because they could tie the
2:21:57 2025 Bananas as the quickest teams in
2:22:00 banana ball history to reach the 200
2:22:02 trick play plateau.
2:22:04 Still playing with
2:22:07 five more outs to get those four trick
2:22:08 plays. We had three on one play here
2:22:10 tonight. Bobby Le,
2:22:14 >> he's reached three times in four play
2:22:15 appearances. It'll say he went there.
2:22:24 You talk about a fun guy to conversate
2:22:26 with. Bobby Lay comes walking out the
2:22:29 clubhouse this morning. Standing there
2:22:31 talking to a lot of those guys. Bobby
2:22:32 comes walking up. You know, good to see
2:22:34 you. I had seen him in a while. All that
2:22:35 good stuff. Bobby goes, "How you been,
2:22:37 Brett?" [music]
2:22:39 >> I've been good, Bobby. He's ball for us,
2:22:40 Brett.
2:22:44 >> Well, [music] nope. Bobby thought it
2:22:47 was.
2:22:48 Hunter Ives will tell him, "Nope, that
2:22:50 was ball three." Anyway,
2:22:53 I
2:22:53 >> asked Bobby what was on his mind today.
2:22:56 >> Bobby looks at me and gives me one word.
2:22:59 Very punctual, very concise. Barrels.
2:23:03 >> Good, [music] Bobby. Good. Thank you,
2:23:05 Bobby L. He's had a lot of them this
2:23:07 year.
2:23:10 >> The 3-1 from Bam.
2:23:12 >> That will be a ball fourth point. Bobby
2:23:15 a hard 90 out of the box.
2:23:17 That's all it'll be is 90 ft there for
2:23:19 Mr. Leay. His second time he's reached
2:23:22 via free pass. First ball for a sprint.
2:23:25 Now it's time for splash.
2:23:28 Little hip hop array. What y'all know
2:23:30 about OP in the chat tonight? That's
2:23:33 what I want to know.
2:23:38 Indie. Another opportunity.
2:23:40 Catches it straight up for out number
2:23:42 two.
2:23:45 Bobby stands over at first and now it's
2:23:47 Nicole size struck out three times
2:23:49 tonight and flown out to that man his
2:23:51 roommate Indiana Stanley. You're talking
2:23:52 about two guys that you get together and
2:23:55 you will be crying laughing because of
2:23:57 how much a brotherly relationship they
2:23:59 have. Nicoles are Indiana Stanley.
2:24:02 They are sometimes insufferable to be
2:24:04 around and I mean that in a way of each
2:24:07 other. You will have a ball watching
2:24:09 them have a conversation. two guys who
2:24:11 think very highly each each other as
2:24:13 well though.
2:24:15 >> When Nico got to Savannah back in
2:24:17 January for spring training, he told me
2:24:19 he followed around Indie around Savannah
2:24:21 5 days. Said, "I wanted to see what
2:24:22 Indy's routine was." He said, "That
2:24:24 helped make me a better person and
2:24:25 inevitably the banana ball player I was
2:24:27 striving to be." Brother, [music]
2:24:31 how about that? Three flyyous, none of
2:24:34 them trick plays.
2:24:36 Usually not the case for the Texas
2:24:38 tailgate, but a scoreless frame
2:24:40 nonetheless, which I will take. The
2:24:42 first one since the top of the fourth.
2:24:44 And now I want to throw it down to my
2:24:45 good friend Ryan Stone and Friends in
2:24:47 Low Places here in Tulsa.
2:24:48 >> Up on your feet and get those phone
2:24:52 flashlights out. That's right. Up on
2:24:55 your feet. Phone flashlights out. We're
2:24:57 going to light up the Tulsa sky.
2:25:02 And now I need you to all join us in
2:25:04 singing as loud as you can. A little
2:25:07 friends in low places.
2:25:15 [music]
2:25:26 >> The last one to know. The last one to
2:25:30 show the last
2:25:34 >> you sound great. Tulsa
2:25:37 [music]
2:25:40 when I took his glass of champagne
2:25:45 toasted
2:25:46 honey.
2:25:49 [music]
2:25:52 >> Let me hear you.
2:25:59 ground
2:26:02 Texas. [music]
2:26:20 Oh, I got
2:26:27 >> We love you so much, Tulsa. Now, let's
2:26:30 get it on. [cheering]
2:26:36 >> Friends in low places.
2:26:40 Uniting a brand that has Texas tied to
2:26:42 its identity and a state that hates
2:26:45 everything about the Lone Star State.
2:26:47 That's how beautiful Banana Ball is.
2:26:50 here in the beautiful home of the Tulsa
2:26:52 Drillers in one Oak Field
2:26:57 >> as now it's time for the closer the
2:26:59 Indianapolis Clowns. Nick Wilson
2:27:02 teammates with Taj Porter and Christian
2:27:04 Davis at Southern University would
2:27:06 transfer to Dallas Baptist and then
2:27:07 Angelo State to finish his college
2:27:08 career and he'll have to face the
2:27:10 tailgator golden bat.
2:27:13 >> The Texas Tailgator are invoking the
2:27:16 golden batter rule. Now batting in place
2:27:20 of Jordan Hussein is the tailgator's
2:27:23 golden batter. Please welcome Kyle Kmart
2:27:29 Martin
2:27:32 for the sixth time this year.
2:27:36 Kyle Martin is the [music] Texas
2:27:38 Tailgator's golden batter that now leads
2:27:42 all of an animal.
2:27:44 Who else would you call him?
2:27:47 He's one for three tonight with a
2:27:49 two-run walk-off bomb coming back in the
2:27:52 fourth inning. Smoked foul having to
2:27:56 face one of the very best closers
2:28:00 in this sport. Nick Wilson considered a
2:28:02 closerish has started a little bit this
2:28:04 year. He's been Bananaball's version on
2:28:06 a microcosmic level of John Smoltz in
2:28:09 2026.
2:28:12 >> Kmart ran it out but foul.
2:28:18 And now Nick Wilson
2:28:21 >> after being in almost every single
2:28:25 entertainment piece the Clowns has had
2:28:26 tonight
2:28:28 trying to save in the ball game. That's
2:28:30 a big step in the right direction as he
2:28:33 does his little dance raising the roof
2:28:35 after striking out. One of the best
2:28:36 hitters in the sport for out number one.
2:28:39 >> [cheering]
2:28:40 >> You may be asking on a different level,
2:28:42 why would the Tailgators use their
2:28:44 golden batter to lead off the bottom of
2:28:45 the eighth? Well, that was in the 10-h
2:28:46 home. This is the leadoff spot. Nick
2:28:48 Lopez, Kirkland Banks.
2:28:51 Oh my gosh, KB. Are you serious
2:28:55 ball goes off a prime KB with the hustle
2:28:58 and then Nick Wilson showing off the
2:29:00 wheels to get over there for out number
2:29:02 two.
2:29:03 >> One, three, four, one for out number
2:29:07 two.
2:29:11 That's incredible stuff.
2:29:13 >> In our sport, we love trick plays and
2:29:16 that's what makes it so special. That's
2:29:18 just an incredible straightup baseball
2:29:20 play.
2:29:22 Wadi a ball and a strike.
2:29:25 Jason Art grounded out last time up in
2:29:27 this two-hole. Wadi back in there. Poked
2:29:29 in the sky left side. Eli Payton calling
2:29:32 everybody off. got it in a minute and 41
2:29:36 seconds. Nick Wilson,
2:29:40 one of the true young stars of this
2:29:42 sport.
2:29:44 No matter if it's in an entertainment
2:29:45 role or on the bump, he going to give it
2:29:48 to you. And now we go to the ninth,
2:29:52 three-3
2:29:54 in the ninth inning. And if we upon the
2:29:57 scoreboard, I'm still going to tell us
2:29:59 about the rules
2:30:00 >> at three points a piece. But here's the
2:30:04 thing. In this ninth inning, every run
2:30:07 that scores will count for a point,
2:30:09 which means the Indianapolis Clowns are
2:30:11 as dangerous as ever. But if your
2:30:14 tailgator can get just three outs right
2:30:16 here, they'll need one run in the bottom
2:30:18 half of the inning to win the game.
2:30:21 Tulsa, the stakes have never been
2:30:23 higher. Welcome to the final inning.
2:30:30 fantasy [cheering]
2:30:43 [crying]
2:30:45 race. [screaming]
2:30:51 It's Miller time.
2:30:55 [music]
2:30:58 The Houston, Texas native
2:31:02 who's tied second in banana ball this
2:31:04 year with four save
2:31:08 is going to try to come on
2:31:12 and make it
2:31:14 a tie ball game for his offense going
2:31:16 into the night.
2:31:19 See the erra,
2:31:21 but you see the strikeouts.
2:31:25 >> Reese Miller
2:31:28 last weekend against those bananas, his
2:31:32 flu game, food poisoning he acquired
2:31:36 somehow someway [music] on Friday night
2:31:38 during that off day we had between the
2:31:39 pop-up game and Kyle Field still able to
2:31:42 come on and battle through that and get
2:31:44 the save against those bananas.
2:31:47 He's healthy as an ox this week and he's
2:31:50 got a big time opportunity against these
2:31:52 clowns.
2:31:54 hold him scoreless and then give it to
2:31:56 the heart of his order. Three, four, and
2:31:57 five in the home.
2:32:02 >> What do you want to call it? Reese's
2:32:04 pieces, his pitches. It's Miller time
2:32:06 when he enters the ball game.
2:32:10 He's one of the best closers in our
2:32:11 sport. And the tailgators took him in
2:32:13 the third round for a reason.
2:32:16 >> But Annis have had his number.
2:32:19 He's still been able to battle through.
2:32:22 Again, we talked about the food
2:32:23 poisoning. Battle through the yellow
2:32:25 really, which could be a sickness within
2:32:27 itself. Back to finding himself here.
2:32:30 Begin the ninth inning. 0 and one to
2:32:32 Carell Prime. Prime Burgess Payton.
2:32:40 Those three up here combined for five
2:32:42 hits tonight.
2:32:43 0 and2.
2:32:46 Taj Porter.
2:32:48 Talk about a guy that believes in Reese
2:32:49 Miller.
2:32:51 really been helping Reese's adjustment
2:32:52 to banana.
2:32:55 These two very much so on the same page.
2:32:59 The belief system, the support system,
2:33:01 the O2 from Ree.
2:33:05 Oh, Prime
2:33:08 just held that right foot in the box.
2:33:10 That's a banana ball vet right there.
2:33:12 That's a
2:33:14 That's a smile from Prime. He almost got
2:33:16 up out of there.
2:33:20 Hunter Ives the crew chief. I tell you
2:33:22 tell what he did a great job and keep an
2:33:23 eye on that foot too.
2:33:31 The one two from Race.
2:33:36 This one hit off of the ribbon board
2:33:39 down the first base. Do a ball and two
2:33:41 yet again.
2:33:44 Prime one for four tonight.
2:33:48 Got it.
2:33:50 The slider, the Frisbee,
2:33:53 the nastiest pitch in our sport, retires
2:33:57 Carell Prime for out number one. And
2:33:59 those clowns are gathering around. I see
2:34:00 a golden robe.
2:34:02 >> Ladies and gentlemen, the Indianapolis
2:34:06 Clowns are invoking the golden batter
2:34:08 rule. Stepping in to bat for Chris
2:34:12 Burgess is your golden batter, Jackie
2:34:15 Bradley
2:34:17 Jr.
2:34:21 As obvious as a pick as it was for the
2:34:22 Tailgator to go Kyle Martin, it's just
2:34:25 as obvious here for the Indianapolis
2:34:27 Club. The fifth time this year JBJ has
2:34:29 been used as a golden bat. Tonight,
2:34:33 two singles in a ball four sprint in his
2:34:35 five play appearances.
2:34:38 You
2:34:40 >> know the one thing we had seen from
2:34:41 Jackie so far this year, a golden batter
2:34:44 home run.
2:34:47 [music]
2:34:52 >> He's behind 0 and2.
2:34:58 >> Pressurized moment on a Thursday night
2:35:00 in Tulsa.
2:35:01 >> Reese Miller, Jackie Bradley Jr.
2:35:07 Great frame there by Tom.
2:35:10 >> Maybe just a hair off if I had to
2:35:11 assume.
2:35:12 >> Do a ball in two now.
2:35:22 [music]
2:35:23 >> Tried to back him up inside. Now
2:35:28 >> this is big on big as it gets.
2:35:33 >> [music]
2:35:37 >> Jackie Bradley Junior is a big leader.
2:35:39 >> Obviously 02 to a full count.
2:35:49 >> Poke to center. Indie breaks back and
2:35:52 then to his right. Second out here in
2:35:54 the night.
2:35:59 >> But now
2:36:01 >> you go From a guy who played in the big
2:36:04 leagues for nine years to a guy who was
2:36:05 a double shy of the cycle tonight,
2:36:08 >> Eli Payton,
2:36:12 >> a single, a two-run homer, and an RBI
2:36:14 triple on his line.
2:36:19 [cheering]
2:36:22 [screaming]
2:36:25 10.
2:36:27 Eli
2:36:29 Sunshine calling off his outfield.
2:36:33 Oh my gosh.
2:36:36 Eli [cheering]
2:36:38 safe at second.
2:36:40 That's a double. Eli Payton just hit for
2:36:43 the cycle.
2:36:47 Wow.
2:36:48 In an extremely improbable way.
2:36:52 Banana Ball's third cycle of the year
2:36:55 comes from Grand Canon University's
2:36:57 finest.
2:37:11 [music]
2:37:11 >> First one misses low. One and0.
2:37:21 Two and0 now to Brian Dancer.
2:37:28 I'm going
2:37:28 >> to be honest with you guys. We've lost
2:37:31 video here in the ballpark. Good news is
2:37:33 I have the YouTube stream still pulled
2:37:35 up and I see that you guys can still see
2:37:37 and hear us.
2:37:39 >> Oh, the beauty of live television.
2:37:42 >> Reese Miller the three 0. A ball four
2:37:46 sprint here.
2:37:47 would plate the go-ahead run/point in
2:37:50 form a flash. Now it's second. [music]
2:37:55 >> Payoff pitch incoming.
2:38:07 [music]
2:38:12 Got him. Remember, you a bad mama jama.
2:38:22 the score
2:38:24 and a piece.
2:38:26 >> Wow, what an electric top of the ninth
2:38:29 inning.
2:38:31 Eli Payton gives Banana Ball its third
2:38:34 cycle of 2026,
2:38:38 following suit of Kyle Jackson and his
2:38:40 teammate Jackie Bradley Jr.,
2:38:43 But that run is stranded at second by
2:38:46 Reese Miller.
2:38:48 >> And now it's the heart of the lineup.
2:38:51 >> Coming up for the Texas tailgate,
2:38:55 Kyle Martin, Jordan Bar, and Taylor
2:38:58 Justice.
2:39:06 And it's Nick Wilson.
2:39:10 Guy who went three up and three down in
2:39:12 less than two minutes in the eighth
2:39:15 inning. We'll have to try to match his
2:39:17 counterpart in Reese Miller [music] to
2:39:19 send this bad mama majama to showdowns.
2:39:32 Nick Wilson went strikeout, a 341 put
2:39:36 out, and then a pop up to third base.
2:39:43 So happy you guys are joining us from
2:39:44 wherever you're joining us from here.
2:39:47 We're having a blast in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
2:39:51 And what a way to begin this ninth
2:39:54 inning. The same way we began the
2:39:56 eighth. Kyle Martin, the golden batter
2:39:58 to lead off the eight. [music] Nick
2:40:00 Wilson sat him down via punch out.
2:40:08 >> Kmart broken bat flare to right field
2:40:13 and the gamewinning point stands [music]
2:40:15 at first in form of Kmart.
2:40:19 his second hit of the night.
2:40:21 >> And Jacob Pipperick, arguably the best
2:40:24 designated runner in the sport since he
2:40:27 began this his 10th [music] game, excuse
2:40:29 me, his 12th game as a tailgator. Nine
2:40:31 for nine in stolen bases.
2:40:34 Would he dare try to run here in the
2:40:36 night? Jordan Bar
2:40:40 gets out of the way of it.
2:40:42 >> JB perfect three for three tonight.
2:40:44 Couple singles and a double.
2:40:49 Two balls and no strikes. Pips fast.
2:40:52 >> Not saying he would or wouldn't score on
2:40:54 the ball for a sprint, but that'd be a
2:40:55 heck of a way to win this ball game. The
2:40:56 two
2:40:58 JB fouls it out of the ballpark.
2:41:08 >> Another foul went into the net. Two
2:41:10 balls and two strikes.
2:41:20 Wow, another foul tip.
2:41:22 >> The Clowns won the first inning,
2:41:25 >> the sixth inning in the seventh inning.
2:41:28 Tailgators won three straight innings,
2:41:29 the second, third, and fourth as Nick
2:41:32 Wilson a big time punch of a guy who's
2:41:35 been on fire in Jordan Bar for out
2:41:37 number one.
2:41:44 Taylor Justice now
2:41:47 >> the league leader in walk-offs with
2:41:49 seven of them this year
2:41:51 has an opportunity to get number eight
2:41:53 that could conclude the ball game.
2:41:59 He's ahead two and up. [music]
2:42:02 Taylor a couple ball for sprints is
2:42:03 driven in a run tonight.
2:42:06 Chris Burgess up out of the crouch.
2:42:09 >> He's telling Nick to calm down or
2:42:11 something. Pip takes off.
2:42:13 >> Throw down. Not in time.
2:42:16 >> Run wild. Jacob Jacob Pipper. He's now a
2:42:19 perfect 10 for 10 this year. [music]
2:42:29 >> Three balls in a strike.
2:42:32 The Tailgator are one pitch away from
2:42:35 walking it off for their first ever game
2:42:36 in Oklahoma.
2:42:38 >> Taylor behind that one.
2:42:41 >> Payoff pitch. Nick Wilson. Taylor
2:42:45 Justice
2:42:47 and it misses up.
2:42:49 >> Jacob Pipper can walk home. It's the
2:42:52 first ever headliner for the Texas
2:42:54 Tailgator in Oklahoma. [screaming]
2:42:58 is a walk-off for Taylor Justice.
2:43:02 Eight of them in 2026
2:43:05 and the tailgator are back over 500 at 9
2:43:07 and eight.
2:43:19 Now, let the boys dance a little bit.
2:43:41 alone. [music]
2:43:44 that she even
2:43:56 [cheering]
2:44:02 >> What a win for the tailgator tonight.
2:44:06 >> In a world where they led three to one
2:44:09 after four innings, the clowns come
2:44:10 back. [cheering]
2:44:12 It's such a valiant effort from Nick
2:44:13 Wilson, but it's the hero yet again. And
2:44:16 I'm going to say it yet again. I can't
2:44:18 wait to tell my children about 2026,
2:44:20 Taylor Justice. He has been absolutely
2:44:23 incredible this year.
2:44:25 >> And he continues
2:44:28 to power the most complete team in
2:44:30 banana ball to W's.
2:44:32 Tailgator's now back over 500 at 9 and
2:44:35 eight.
2:44:39 as it looks like [music]
2:44:40 Mattie Warren has gathered up our
2:44:43 showman of the ball game.
2:44:45 >> Matty, who you got down there?
2:44:46 >> I'm down here with our showman of the
2:44:47 night, Jordan Bar. I want to talk about
2:44:49 that last at bat that you had. You're
2:44:51 working that count. You're seeing tough
2:44:52 pitches. What's going through your mind
2:44:54 knowing that this game is really coming
2:44:56 down to [music] getting a runner on base
2:44:57 to hopefully put guys on to bring them
2:44:59 in.
2:44:59 >> Yeah, I mean, I didn't do my job, but
2:45:01 I'm glad the guy ahead of me and Piney
2:45:03 did their job, cuz that's why we're a
2:45:05 team. That's why we come out here. And
2:45:06 hopefully next time it's a different
2:45:08 result. Um, but I'm glad we won the
2:45:10 game, that's for sure. TJ picked me up
2:45:11 and he's been doing it all year long.
2:45:13 >> In the game of banana ball, we see a lot
2:45:16 of power come out in a lot of really big
2:45:17 time innings, but it only really works
2:45:18 out to be one point. One thing that I've
2:45:20 noticed about this team is that you guys
2:45:22 are able to grit out wins just like this
2:45:24 because you stay together. Where does
2:45:26 that come from for you guys?
2:45:27 >> I think we're just a really tight-knit
2:45:29 club. I mean, guys love each other. I
2:45:31 mean, we're we're obviously a team.
2:45:32 We're a close team. You know, if they
2:45:33 score four runs in an inning, um, we're
2:45:36 going to bounce back. We're [music]
2:45:37 going to score four runs. I think that's
2:45:38 kind of or five runs to walk off the
2:45:40 inning. I think that's just kind of our
2:45:41 motto is just bounce back if things go
2:45:43 bad.
2:45:44 >> Now, going into tomorrow, I don't know
2:45:45 if you know this, but you guys are right
2:45:48 there about to be the first team to
2:45:49 break 200 trick plays for the season. I
2:45:52 think you guys got 15 tonight. So,
2:45:53 either way, it's most likely happening
2:45:55 tomorrow. In the field, what's kind of
2:45:57 the mentality of staying loose and
2:45:59 keeping those trick plays at the
2:46:01 forefront of your mind?
2:46:02 >> Yeah, I mean, being the home team, it
2:46:04 obviously and the away team, it matters.
2:46:05 Trick plays matter, especially in banana
2:46:07 ball. So, I think just coming out here
2:46:08 and doing our thing as far as trick
2:46:10 plays and, you know, don't be afraid to
2:46:12 rip them if there's two outs or one out,
2:46:13 guys on base, you know, whatever the
2:46:15 situation is. We're out here to
2:46:17 entertain. We're out here to make cool
2:46:18 plays and sometimes turns out.
2:46:21 >> All right, I have one more question for
2:46:22 you. It's from our banana ball backstage
2:46:24 experience player. She's eight. She
2:46:25 wants to know what your [music] favorite
2:46:27 meal is.
2:46:28 >> Favorite meal? I would say, well, I'm
2:46:30 from Minnesota, so steak, potatoes, and
2:46:32 corn on the cob that my wife makes for
2:46:34 sure. And then probably some ice cream
2:46:36 of some sort to top it off.
2:46:38 >> You got to have the sweet treat. And
2:46:39 honestly, I think that would be my
2:46:40 favorite meal, too. Brett, I uh I think
2:46:42 Texas is going to start winning over
2:46:43 Oklahoma this weekend. We'll set it back
2:46:45 up to you,
2:46:46 >> Princess JB. Thank you so so much.
2:46:50 >> Tell you what, one of the very best bats
2:46:53 in the whole sport of Banana Ball was at
2:46:55 it yet again tonight. The streak that
2:46:57 he's been on the past couple of weeks is
2:46:59 incredible. Had a double down the line,
2:47:01 had a single as well. Again, JB just
2:47:04 continue to do JB things here tonight.
2:47:06 When you take a guy like that in the
2:47:08 second round of the basketball tra play
2:47:09 player draft, you're going to continue
2:47:13 to be impressed with him every [music]
2:47:14 single night. He was on the back of a
2:47:16 triple trick play, double play. There
2:47:18 was that infield single he had there as
2:47:19 well as our showman of the night, Jordan
2:47:22 Bart. Three inning leadoff hits. I know
2:47:25 where that came from. That's Mikey
2:47:26 Okconor running our bug back in Sana.
2:47:28 Incredible stat from him. double a
2:47:30 couple singles, scored three [music]
2:47:31 runs as well. Out trick played them 15-5
2:47:35 tonight. See the runs yet again. A lot
2:47:37 of runs [music] scored tonight. When
2:47:38 you're playing the Clowns, you're going
2:47:39 to see that somehow someway. The
2:47:41 Tailgators though, as the home team with
2:47:42 those four walk-offs, just an
2:47:44 incredible, incredible ball game.
2:47:47 Welcome you back into the broadcast
2:47:48 booth here from beautiful Tulsa,
2:47:50 Oklahoma at One Oak Field. Man,
2:47:54 Tailgator's first ever time they've
2:47:56 headlined outside of the state of Texas.
2:47:58 They come here, play the Indianapolis
2:48:00 Clowns. Again, a revived Negro League
2:48:02 team here now in Banana Ball. A a a team
2:48:05 who had a a a pretty big fan base in
2:48:07 Oklahoma. Just a historic weekend and a
2:48:09 historic night in this game one all
2:48:11 around. And then we get that for a ball
2:48:13 game. This is now two out of the last
2:48:15 three weekends where the Tailgator have
2:48:16 had just two straight up walkoffs. Zack
2:48:18 Watson in game three in Amarillo. And
2:48:20 then tonight, Taylor Justice with that
2:48:22 walk-off ball for Brett to conclude
2:48:24 matters. Incredible ball game. Let's
2:48:26 also not sell it short. I know usually
2:48:28 we choose Showman to be the a player
2:48:32 from the winning team. Eli Payeyton hit
2:48:34 for the cycle. The cycle. He's the third
2:48:38 player in 2026 to do so. Just the fourth
2:48:41 player all time and just the fifth time
2:48:43 this has ever happened in the history of
2:48:45 our sport. He joins Jake Skull, Kyle
2:48:48 Jackson, and Jackie Bradley Jr. to hit
2:48:50 for the cycle in our sport of an animal.
2:48:52 Eli Payton. Absolutely incredible.
2:48:55 Again, I know we had to choose, perhaps
2:48:57 had to choose a a player from the
2:48:59 winning team. Eli Payton was by far the
2:49:01 best player on this field here tonight.
2:49:03 Tomorrow, looking at Banana Ball, we go
2:49:05 back to three games across America as
2:49:08 we'll see the clowns and tailgators
2:49:11 again here from Tulsa, Oklahoma, 8
2:49:12 Eastern time, [music] the Coconuts,
2:49:14 firefighters, 8 Eastern from Witchah.
2:49:16 And then down in the A in Atlanta,
2:49:19 Georgia, the bananas and the party
2:49:20 animals. The bananas coming off of a
2:49:23 sweep or getting swept I should say by
2:49:25 the tailgator playing those party
2:49:26 animals are really trying to write their
2:49:28 wrongs after getting [music] dominated
2:49:30 by the Loco Beach Coconuts. See all
2:49:32 those games tomorrow where you can find
2:49:33 them at always on YouTube. Party animals
2:49:35 YouTube, tailgators YouTube and
2:49:37 firefighters YouTube as well. National
2:49:39 TV on true TV for the bananas and party
2:49:41 animals. 4 to3 victory. Tailgators back
2:49:44 over 500 at 9 and 8. We will see you
2:49:47 here from One Oak Field tomorrow night
2:49:49 for our wonderful crew back in Savannah
2:49:51 led by our director Arch Pingle led by
2:49:53 our producer here on site in Chadwick.
2:49:55 Folks, our great executive producer Josh
2:49:57 Richardson and a big thanks to Riley
2:49:59 Turner who was scoring this game to my
2:50:00 left tonight. I'm [music] Brett Loftus
2:50:02 telling you have a safe, happy, and
2:50:04 healthy rest of your evening. And up
2:50:05 until tomorrow night, Gator up.
2:50:24 [music]
2:50:33 >> [music]
2:50:35 >> Yeah,
2:50:44 [music]
2:50:57 hey.
2:51:01 Heat. Heat. N.
