0:30 Oh,

0:42 hey.

1:53 Hey,

2:01 hey,

2:03 hey.

3:28 >> [music]

4:42 >> everywhere

5:03 you

5:05 go.

6:23 Hello. Ah.

8:06 Five,

8:09 two,

8:13 Welcome in to Banana Ball live on the

8:15 CW. It's the finale of a historic two

8:19 game set in Kansas City, the birthplace

8:21 of the Negro Leagues and the

8:22 Indianapolis Clowns. A legendary Negro

8:25 Leagues team born here in Banana Ball

8:28 Reborn. That is they're hunting their

8:30 [music] first ever sweep of the Savannah

8:32 Bananas. The Clowns are turning to Brett

8:35 Maddock to try and make it four straight

8:37 wins. While the bananas counter with

8:39 their firstrounder, Austin Drury,

8:41 [music]

8:41 as they hunt the series split, over

8:44 38,000 fans have converged on Kaufman

8:48 Stadium to witness the spectacle live

8:50 and they have braved a rainy day here in

8:53 KC to make it happen. But about a half

8:56 an hour from first pitch, the sun has

8:58 come out and it's looking like, mother

9:00 nature willing, we're going to have a

9:01 heck of an afternoon for Banana Ball as

9:03 we welcome you inside with Josh Tleski

9:06 and Cam Stewart. I am Boco Scalla. Happy

9:08 Sunday. Funday. Thank you for spending

9:10 it with us here in virtual banana land.

9:12 Came it was a 3-1 win for the Clowns

9:15 last night and it's clear that the bats

9:17 traveled very well from Tacoma,

9:18 Washington here to the Midwest.

9:19 >> Yeah, that was going to be the big

9:20 question. Could they keep that offense

9:22 rolling after a historic weekend in

9:24 Tacoma and that was the case. Two two

9:26 nothing inning leads for the Bananas in

9:28 this ball game and they didn't get the

9:29 inning point for either one of them.

9:31 Three-run walk-off bombs. Two of them,

9:34 Nicolesizer and Chris Burgess. That

9:36 offense has certainly traveled.

9:37 >> Well, I'll tell you what, the Bananas

9:39 offense not as powerful at all, Josh.

9:42 Although it was a heck of a start for

9:44 the Nanners offensively.

9:45 >> Yeah, you saw Dan Overst in the first

9:47 inning. Just the second batter OF THE

9:49 CONTEST GOING YAYA against Daniel Foster

9:53 already up to five home runs this season

9:56 and home runs in consecutive contests

9:58 for the Savannah Bananas. A big blast

10:00 from Overs and then bottom half of the

10:03 inning or actually Reese selects Yiatis

10:05 in [music] the first inning able to get

10:08 a double trick play there for the

10:09 Indianapolis Clowns. Leay and Carell

10:11 Prime able to cap off a four trick play

10:14 frame. Bananas would earn that first

10:16 point and then an inning later, it's

10:18 Bill Loy back in Kansas City yet again

10:22 where he hit his first banana ball home

10:24 run leaving the yard in the K. Look like

10:26 we're about to have Dja Vu in the second

10:28 inning until Nicolesizer.

10:29 >> And this was the real Dja Vu because

10:31 this is the fourth time in the last two

10:34 weekends that Nicolesizer leaves the

10:36 yard. No doubter threerun walk-off bomb

10:40 to take the inning point. And this is

10:42 where it really turned for the Clowns.

10:45 10 RBI in the last two weekends for him.

10:47 This a little number tough play. Tougher

10:50 than any trick play on the night. How

10:51 about that Josh?

10:52 >> Yeah. Noah Nisik GOT A SLIDE TACKLE FROM

10:55 BILAROY. It was unintentional.

10:57 Nonetheless, great play from Niz, but

11:00 then you saw him make another great play

11:03 and a costly throwing error. Had a

11:05 little more time to get himself set

11:07 instead. Rush that throw and it would

11:10 lead to Joe Lidle, a batter later,

11:12 [music] ripping this one down the first

11:13 baseline and netting a second straight

11:16 point for Indianapolis.

11:18 >> A second straight inning where they came

11:20 back.

11:20 >> Yeah, it was so huge. They had a couple

11:22 of chances to get out of that inning.

11:23 Then Peanuts takes to the mound and

11:25 Peanuts does what Peanuts does outside

11:28 of Jake Skull. He just gets batters out.

11:30 Jackson Olsen to end the inning there.

11:33 Keep that 2-1 lead in the fifth. Yeah,

11:36 don't worry Peanuts. Jake Skull is the

11:37 kryptonite for a lot of pitchers in

11:39 Banana Ball. Now in the seventh, still a

11:41 2-1 lead. Uh-oh, that ball gets by Joe

11:44 Gray. It's going to be a single in the

11:46 book. It's a little league home run for

11:48 the 9-year Nanner Bill Loy. Get on your

11:51 horse. WINDMILL FROM TYLER GILLUM. AND

11:53 HE JUST HAD enough gas in the tank to

11:56 barely beat the tag from Burgess. It was

11:58 a perfect relay from Carell Prime. We'll

12:01 get another look at the slide coming in

12:02 here on the replay. It doesn't get much

12:06 closer than that. Loy the little league

12:09 inside the Parker. But couple batters

12:11 [music] later, oh my goodness. Ryan Cox

12:14 fouling out to the fans. the man who led

12:17 the 2024 World Tour and foul out to the

12:19 fans. Beautiful bare-handed snag right

12:21 there. And that was the lone foul out to

12:23 the fans on THE NIGHT. NOW BOTTOM SEVEN,

12:26 BANANAS UP TWO RUNS IN THE FRAME. THIS

12:28 IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT,

12:29 CAM. CHRIS BURGESS. BIG FLY. JUST ABLE

12:33 TO KEEP IT fair and the Clowns going up

12:36 3 to one.

12:37 >> The second time in the game that they do

12:39 that and it was a showman performance

12:40 for Chris Burgess who was big in last

12:43 weekend as well. Couple extra base hits

12:45 last night. Yeah, a double earlier in

12:47 the contest. Two-run scored for Burgess

12:49 and Dion Reynoso comes through in the

12:51 clutch in his first ever save

12:53 opportunity. Had to face KJ for a second

12:55 time as the golden batter got him to fly

12:57 out to put a close on a 3-1 victory for

13:00 the Clowns. The first time they have

13:02 ever beat the Savannah Bananas. Of

13:04 course, this only the third time that

13:05 the two teams faced in the regular

13:08 season, but really an impressive win

13:10 nonetheless. And now three straight

13:12 victories going back to the conclusion

13:14 of the three-game set that they had

13:16 against the party animals in Tacoma,

13:17 [music] Washington last weekend. You get

13:19 a look at the numbers. Burgess at the

13:21 top two for three, the double end home

13:22 run. Bill Loy two for three, one out of

13:25 the park and then the little league

13:26 homer and Eli Payton leading the team

13:27 defensively.

13:28 >> Yeah, this was kind of one of the other

13:30 narratives in this game last night. 14

13:32 trick plays for the Clowns with Eli

13:34 Payton leading the way. That was crucial

13:36 as well.

13:36 >> Yeah, that's a new franchise record.

13:38 >> And meanwhile, you saw just six hits for

13:39 the bananas. The Clowns had six

13:41 excerbase hits in the contest. And now

13:43 you get a look at what the Clowns have

13:45 done since May the 7th. This team

13:48 leading the Banana Ball Championship

13:50 League in hits. A 343 batting average in

13:53 that span. And over the last four games,

13:55 we have seen the Clowns launch 12 total

13:58 home runs. A key reason right now you

14:00 see them also leading the pack with

14:02 their 199 total bases. And this includes

14:07 a weekend in Indianapolis where the bats

14:10 were pretty pretty [music] well silenced

14:11 by the party animals. It was a complete

14:13 game thrown against them, but man have

14:15 they bounced back. Much more on the

14:16 pregame show after a brief break.

14:19 [music]

15:08 Kansas City.

15:15 >> Are you ready?

15:20 that come your way cuz we like to fly

15:22 around. Hey, so get ready to clap those

15:24 [music] hands and stomp those feet

15:26 because at the end of the day, we all

15:27 need somebody to lift us up. You, me,

15:31 them,

15:40 >> everybody.

15:41 >> Everybody needs somebody to love.

15:45 >> Oh yeah. Someone to love. Someone love

15:48 sweetheart to miss.

15:49 >> Come with someone with

15:50 >> a sugar to kiss.

15:52 >> A sugar to kiss.

15:53 >> I need you. You. I need you. You. I need

15:58 you. You. I need you.

16:03 >> GIVE IT UP ONE MORE TIME FOR your

16:06 Indianapolis clothes. [screaming]

16:10 [cheering]

16:34 KANSAS CITY. I NEED EVERYBODY HERE TO

16:37 GET ON [screaming] YOUR FEET.

16:42 That's right.

17:01 Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

17:03 CW. Just a couple minutes ago, the

17:05 Indianapolis Clowns storming the field

17:08 here in Kaufman Stadium at the

17:10 conclusion of this twoame set. The

17:13 Clowns first ever headlining series in a

17:16 [music] big league park. And before we

17:17 get to the game, we've got to get you

17:19 the rules to Banana Ball brought to you

17:22 by PNC Bank.

17:32 Banana Ball is the fastest and most

17:34 entertaining show in sports. And the 11

17:36 rules guarantee [music] the most fans

17:38 first experience every second.

17:40 >> Unbelievable.

17:42 >> Welcome to THE BANANA BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP

17:44 LEAGUE.

17:44 >> Rule number one, win the inning, win the

17:47 point. The team that scores the most

17:49 runs in an inning wins the point.

17:51 >> It's a walk-off winner for the deepest

17:54 bowl.

17:55 >> Oh my goodness. With the equalizer

17:57 point, trick plays provide the away team

17:59 an opportunity to earn a point going

18:01 into the final inning. And in the final

18:03 inning, every run counts as a point.

18:06 Rule number two, banana ball has a 2hour

18:09 time limit, guaranteeing that every game

18:12 is fast-paced and action-packed. Rule

18:15 number three, no stepping out of the

18:17 batter's box. If you do, it will result

18:19 in a strike.

18:20 >> Back stepped out of the box and because

18:22 he stepped out of the box, that's it.

18:24 Rule number four, no bunting. Cuz

18:26 bunting sucks. If you bunt, you'll be

18:29 thrown out of the game. Rule number

18:31 five, batters can steal first base.

18:33 >> Ball three, GET IT. TAKE IT OFF FOR

18:35 FIRST THROW FROM LOY IN TIME.

18:38 >> Rule number six, there's no walks. Walks

18:41 are ball for sprints. The batter can

18:43 advance as far as they want until every

18:46 position player touches the ball.

18:48 >> No defenders have touched the banana

18:50 BALL. IT IS A FOUR BASE SPREAD TO OPEN

18:53 UP THE BALL GAME.

18:54 >> Rule number seven,

18:56 >> no mound visits.

18:58 >> Nope.

18:59 >> Rule number eight, foul balls caught by

19:01 a fan count as an out.

19:03 >> Oh, they missed. They can't turn. We're

19:08 going to show

19:09 >> rule number nine, the showdowns. In

19:12 showdowns, the best of the best face off

19:14 in the biggest moment. One hitter verse

19:16 one pitcher with one fielder behind him.

19:19 and the hitter has to score.

19:21 >> Deep to right center. See you later.

19:25 >> Rule number 10, the banana ball

19:27 challenge rule gives the coaches and

19:29 you, the fans, a chance to impact a call

19:32 on the field. Rule number 11, the golden

19:35 batter. Once a game, each team can give

19:38 any player in a bat, regardless of the

19:40 lineup. This offers the biggest matchups

19:42 on the biggest stage.

19:44 >> Big on big.

19:47 Let's go.

19:48 >> [screaming]

19:48 >> Let's go. Let's go.

19:50 >> Get out of here, ball. THAT THING

19:52 [cheering] HAD A FAMILY. [screaming]

19:55 >> And those are the rules of banana ball.

20:02 >> Thank you, Jesse. I'll tell you what,

20:04 Banana Ball rules keep things exciting,

20:06 which is great for the game. PNC Bank

20:09 keeps things boring, which is great for

20:11 your money. PNC Bank, brilliantly boring

20:15 since 1865.

20:17 When we come back, we're going to get to

20:19 hear from Clowns head coach Eric Fox.

20:36 He's gritty AND HE'S GRITTY. KYLE JJ

20:41 JACKSON. [screaming]

20:46 AT SECOND BASE, THE DOGGY MAN WEARING

20:50 NUMBER NINE, MAX [screaming] JOHN

20:53 GOLDBER.

20:58 ALSO AT SECOND BASE, THE GREATEST

21:01 SHOWMAN,

21:02 NUMBER EIGHT, JACKSON OLSEN.

21:10 AT FIRST BASE, OUR BAT TRICKSTER AND

21:13 BALANCE EXTRAORDINAIRE, ALEX ZIGGY

21:17 SEAGLER.

21:23 COMING TO THE MOUND, THE TALLEST MAN IN

21:26 SPORTS, DAKOTA [screaming] STILTS ALBERT

21:29 BRUT. [cheering]

21:35 AND BEHIND THE PLATE ON THE MIC, WEARING

21:38 NUMBER ONE, MYSELF, BILL [screaming] LU.

21:55 Something big is happening.

21:59 Something big. I FEEL IT HAPPENING OUT

22:02 OF my control. pushing pulling and he's

22:05 grabbing me. Feel it in my bones like oh

22:09 oh

22:14 something big IS HAPPENING ALL

22:25 >> LET'S HEAR IT FOR YOUR SAVANNAH Bana

22:30 [cheering]

22:32 >> I don't know if I can say that

22:38 Come this way. Come this way.

22:44 >> Ladies and gentlemen, make sure you do

22:46 something.

22:46 >> It is now time for a bananas tradition

22:50 here in banana land.

22:53 I need everybody here to get your spirit

22:55 fingers up high.

22:58 Both hands. Spirit fingers up high. This

23:02 tradition has brought us 4,0002

23:06 wins.

23:16 >> Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

23:18 CW from Kaufman Stadium [music] in

23:20 Kansas City, Missouri. The Savannah

23:22 Bananas have made their grand entrance.

23:25 The visiting team in this twoame set

23:28 here in the K [music]

23:29 flips galore in front of this full

23:31 capacity crowd. Well, I'll tell you

23:33 what, the Clowns [music] victors last

23:35 night, making it three straight wins,

23:38 the first three-game winning streak in

23:40 franchise history. [music] Head coach

23:42 Eric Fox thrilled about it. Rex Castillo

23:45 caught up with him a little while ago.

23:46 >> Thank you so much, Bo. Coach, three wins

23:49 in a row. What a streak for the Clowns.

23:51 The first three game winning streak in

23:53 the Clowns history. What is the reason

23:55 this team is so hot right now?

23:56 >> Hey, we're having fun, man. Having fun

23:58 playing with some urgency and these guys

24:00 just having good approaches at the

24:02 plate, man. So, that's that's helping us

24:03 big time right now.

24:04 >> More history to be made here. The clowns

24:06 headlining a Major League Baseball

24:08 stadium. Kansas City has so much meaning

24:09 when it comes to Negro League Baseball.

24:11 What has been like to wear that name on

24:12 the front of the jersey and represent

24:14 all the history that comes with it.

24:15 >> Dude, it's unbelievable, man. Just to be

24:16 able to to represent the clowns and the

24:19 history behind it, man. It's been an

24:20 unbelievable journey. and we look

24:21 forward to continue to spread joy,

24:23 spread history, and just have fun with

24:26 this thing.

24:26 >> Banana Ball has made multiple stops in

24:28 the heart of America. Do you see why

24:30 this Kansas City crowd has been

24:31 electric? It's last night and seems like

24:33 they're ready for tonight as well.

24:34 >> Oh, dude. Banana Ball is just

24:36 unbelievable, man. I mean, it's hard not

24:37 to come out here and just be blessed

24:39 [cheering] and have fun and just wake up

24:42 every single day knowing that you get to

24:43 come out here and do a job like this

24:44 every single day.

24:45 >> It's been amazing to watch the Clowns

24:46 have fun. We'll see if they can go for

24:48 their first sweep in franchise history,

24:50 guys. Back to you.

24:51 >> Thank you very much, Rex. Always awesome

24:53 to get to hear from Eric Fox, who is an

24:56 assistant coach under Tyler Gillum's

24:58 toutelage for 5 years of college summer

25:00 baseball. This is his second year in

25:01 Banana Ball. As you get a look at what

25:04 this banner weekend for Banana Ball has

25:06 looked like. Starting with that wild 5-3

25:09 tailgator win on Thursday night. Nick

25:11 Lopez two-run oppo taco to walk it off

25:14 in Corpus Christi. And then it ended up

25:16 being a series split at the worldwide of

25:18 sports in Orlando between the Coconuts

25:20 and Party Animals. While the

25:22 firefighters [music] able to salvage the

25:24 series, they were uh winners after two

25:27 rounds of showdowns last night in Corpus

25:28 [music] Christie.

25:29 >> And it was a trio of secondyear

25:31 firefighters who all played hero. You

25:33 had showdown strikeouts from Javon Ray

25:35 and Johnny Hmel. And then Don Cornet, a

25:37 seasoned banana ball veteran, had that

25:40 big knock in showdowns round two for the

25:42 firefighters to help propel them and

25:44 avoid that [music] sweep in Corpus

25:46 Christi. What a special home run from

25:48 Lamar Sparks earlier in that ball game

25:50 as well. One of the cooler moments this

25:52 year. We are getting oh so close to

25:55 first pitch. We'll be right back.

26:13 A showdown will arise. A 101 of ages

26:16 with the fielder on the side. Number

26:18 four, we don't bunt. We start hitting

26:20 from the jump. If you do it, you can

26:21 leave. Get ejected. Call the number

26:24 five. Here we like to keep up the pace.

26:26 You better keep in mind a batter can't

26:28 steal the first base. Number six, ain't

26:30 no walks in banana ball. We sprint on

26:32 ball for to all. Nfielders touch the

26:34 ball. And seven, a batter can't step out

26:37 of that box. If he does, it's a strike.

26:39 He paid the cost. And number eight, no

26:41 visits to the mound allowed. And if we

26:43 catch you slip and we might throw you

26:45 out. And number nine, each team is

26:47 allowed to challenge. One umpire call if

26:50 things feel unbalanced. And yes, even

26:52 you get to join in on the fun. The fans

26:55 get a challenge, too. Now, ain't that

26:57 something? Number 10, the one and only

26:59 golden batter. He can hit it any spot

27:01 and it ain't nobody better. And 11. If a

27:04 fan catches a foul ball, listen out.

27:06 That's all the rules of banana ball.

27:10 >> Give it UP FOR OUR INFIELD HOST BRANDON.

27:12 [screaming]

27:15 And now fans, DIRECT YOUR ATTENTION

27:17 RIGHT DOWN HERE ON THE CONCOURSE AND

27:19 WELCOME JARIUS IN THE CAST OF YOUR

27:22 INDIANAPOLIS CLOWN.

27:24 >> OH YEAH. [screaming]

27:29 Come on.

27:31 Coming to you on a dusty road. Good

27:36 loving. I got a bus road. And when you

27:40 see us, we got to show. So get on your

27:43 feet cuz here we go. We're so bad.

27:50 We're so bad. Come on.

27:53 We're so bad.

27:57 We're a soul. Come on,

27:59 >> Kansas City. IF YOU WANT TO BRING IT,

28:01 >> LET ME HEAR YOU make some noise

28:04 and we're making it better EVERY

28:10 BREAK.

28:11 So don't you leave. We ain't done yet.

28:14 We're a soul.

28:18 We're a soul. Come on.

28:22 >> We're a soul man.

28:25 We're a soul.

28:29 Hey,

28:38 >> so

28:51 >> [music]

28:55 >> Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

28:57 CW. May has not been a very kind month

29:00 to the Savannah Bananas. They are 4 and6

29:03 across the last 30 days, but it has been

29:06 a pretty sturdy month for Super Reese

29:08 Selelexiatus. For more, let's check back

29:11 in [music] with Rex Castile, who grabbed

29:13 Super Reese a couple minutes ago.

29:18 >> With a giant crown in the sky here at

29:20 Coin Stadium, we had to talk to the

29:22 future king of the Pirates, Super Reese

29:24 Alexi, my friend, the right fielder

29:26 extraordinaire. Hey, look, what about

29:28 the energy here in Kansas City? Every

29:30 time the Bananas come here, it always

29:32 seems like they bring the energy, blow

29:33 the roof off the top of this place. What

29:34 was it like last night?

29:35 >> It was incredible. Well, I don't know

29:36 what it is about Kansas City, but they

29:38 bring it the energy every night. Last

29:41 year, they brought it. I was excited to

29:42 come back and I mean, last night was

29:44 just incredible.

29:44 >> The Nanners as the visitor last night,

29:47 but what an incredible show as the

29:48 Indianapolis Clowns, their first Major

29:50 League Headliner series. What was it

29:51 like to be part of that night and that

29:52 see that history with the guys across

29:54 the diamond?

29:54 >> Yeah, it was awesome. I love baseball,

29:57 so um went to the Neo League Museum last

29:59 year and then being able to go a few

30:01 days ago and really get a full in-depth

30:04 history of it was incredible. The show

30:06 was phenomenal and they honored all the

30:08 former Negro League players so well. So,

30:09 it was great.

30:10 >> Now, the Nano of course hunting for a

30:11 win, but there's a rumor that the One

30:13 Piece may be back there in the

30:15 fountains. Is did you hear anything

30:16 about that?

30:16 >> Yeah, I was trying to get in there, but

30:18 uh they stopped me. So, might have to go

30:20 Midame and uh go take a look.

30:23 >> See, it's an important hunt right there.

30:25 So, at this time, the the future king of

30:26 the pirates has got to go where he's got

30:28 to go. Good luck tonight. Super Reese

30:29 and the Bananas looking for another win.

30:31 Let's send it back to you guys in the

30:32 booth.

30:37 and we'll see if they can come through.

30:38 Rex, appreciate you, my friend.

30:40 Moonwalking saxophone players and so

30:44 much more when you get yourself an

30:45 Indianapolis Clowns headliner game. When

30:48 we come back, we're going to get their

30:50 starting lineup with Banana Ball here on

30:53 the CW.

31:03 the master of tricks, flips, and circus

31:05 kicks. He's a former WWE 247 champion.

31:10 Give it up for our acrobatic [music]

31:12 coach, Sydney.

31:18 He's our timetraveling ball player here

31:21 in Cloud Town. Coming to you from the

31:23 year 1959. Give it up for Fisher Poly

31:28 Dora.

31:31 He is the world's strongest banana, the

31:34 king of potassium. He is split

31:42 and the best one to ever do it, our

31:45 dancing first and third base coach, Mac.

31:55 Ladies and gentlemen, one more time for

31:58 your cast of the Indianapolis Clouds and

32:02 your Savannah Banas.

32:10 >> Ladies and gentlemen, the cast is ready.

32:13 The players are ready.

32:15 >> But now it is time for you, the fans, to

32:17 get ready. So, I need everybody ON YOUR

32:19 FEET. ALL 37,000 OF YOU GUYS on your

32:24 feet and please HELP ME IN WELCOMING SIX

32:28 OR SEVENYEAR-OLD MARGIE MOO.

32:35 >> OKAY, MARGIMOO,

32:37 >> it is time for the fan warm up.

32:40 >> So, whatever you do,

32:42 >> all 37,000 of them have to do.

32:46 >> Are you ready?

32:47 >> Yes,

32:49 >> girl. I say, "ARE YOU READY?"

32:51 >> YES.

32:52 >> Let's hit it.

33:12 [screaming]

33:14 We like

33:16 to move it.

33:30 We are now less [music] than 10 minutes

33:31 from first pitch between the Savannah

33:33 Bananas and the Indianapolis Clouds. The

33:36 conclusion of this twoame set. Indie 3-1

33:40 winners an evening ago which brings them

33:42 to 10 and 15 on the year five and a half

33:44 games back of the first place Bananas at

33:47 15 and N pacing [music] this inaugural

33:50 season of the Banana Ball Championship

33:51 League. But I'll tell you what, when it

33:52 comes to the Clowns only a game and a

33:54 half back of the Party Animals currently

33:56 holding that final spot when it comes to

33:58 making the Banana Ball playoffs and

34:00 we're talking about right now possibly

34:02 the hottest team in the BBCL going back

34:04 to [music] last Saturday. It's three

34:05 wins in a row and and guys, this is

34:07 crucial for the team up there at the

34:09 top, the Savannah Bananas. Tailgator

34:11 already took the series this [music]

34:12 weekend.

34:12 >> Yeah, but luckily the Bananas were

34:14 helped out by the firefighters securing

34:16 that win last night against Texas still

34:18 keeps them a game up. And even if they

34:21 come away being swept by the Clowns,

34:23 they'll still be a half game better than

34:24 the Texas Tailgator. So, that definitely

34:27 helps the Savannah Bananas, but hunting

34:29 that win behind their ace and Austin

34:31 jury. I'll tell you what, time flies

34:33 when you're having fun. and you blink.

34:35 And we've already had 77 games in this

34:37 inaugural season of the BBCL. I'll also

34:40 tell you what, WE LIKE TO GET EXCITED

34:42 for that. We'll get it on down to Jarius

34:46 on the field. They built this. And

34:51 tonight,

34:53 >> today rather, KANSAS CITY, IT IS YOUR

34:57 JOB.

34:59 Kansas City.

35:01 [cheering]

35:04 NO, THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I SAY KANSAS

35:07 CITY.

36:27 THE BALLPARK. NUMBER 44 Splash Dale

36:32 Francis Jr.

36:38 >> In Kansas City, IT'S PRIME TIME. At

36:42 first base, number 11, Carell

36:46 Pride. [screaming]

36:48 He's our golden boy from the GOLDEN

36:51 STATE. THIRD BASEMAN NUMBER 16, Eli

36:55 Payton.

36:58 THE PRIDE OF PA, BUT HE WANTS TO BEAT

37:01 HIM TODAY. Right fielder number 12,

37:04 NICOER.

37:10 He's behind the plate catching

37:11 everything from pitches to ladies.

37:15 Number nine, Chris Burgess.

37:21 >> He's got the looks, the ladies, AND A

37:24 LAUNCH ANGLE. Second baseman number two,

37:27 Jaylen Deuce Vasquez.

37:33 And your designated runner,

37:37 MELI [screaming]

37:38 FLUSH THE Kid

37:41 Mitchell. [screaming]

37:44 >> Yeah, he's the one right here, baby.

37:47 >> On the bump. He's wheeling and dealing,

37:50 STYLING AND PROFILING NUMBER EIGHT.

37:58 [cheering]

37:58 And the ring masters of THE ORIGINAL

38:01 BASEBALL CIRCUIT, Eric Foxy Fox, Willie

38:05 Orony Carter, AND TONY BIG [screaming]

38:08 TONE BRO.

38:16 [music]

38:16 >> WELL, we've got the starting 10 for the

38:19 hottest lineup in Banana Ball. When we

38:20 come back, we'll find [music] out the

38:22 lineup for the Savannah Bananas. And

38:23 we'll get first pitch of this finale

38:25 from Casey.

38:36 joining us this afternoon. Please

38:38 welcome

38:41 [cheering]

40:04 brave.

40:07 Kaufman Stadium one more time for Ashley

40:11 Troder.

40:33 fans, give it UP FOR THE SAVANNAH

40:35 BANANAS AND YOUR INDIANAPOLIS CLOUD.

40:39 [screaming]

40:51 Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

40:54 CW. The Indianapolis Clowns looking

40:56 [music] for their first ever sweep of

40:58 the Savannah Bananas. On the other side

41:00 of the coin, the Bananas hoping to keep

41:03 it at just one sweep against them here

41:06 in this first year of the Banana Ball

41:08 Championship League. It's the top team

41:10 in the sport against [music] the current

41:12 squad holding down sixth place. as we

41:14 welcome you back inside the booth with

41:15 Josh Tleski and Cam Stewart. I am Bo

41:18 Scalla and what a matchup we have this

41:21 afternoon. The Clowns have won three

41:23 straight games. Now they turn to Brett

41:25 Madak to try and earn this sweep. Yeah,

41:26 and Madak is a guy who's been up and

41:28 down a little bit this season. Sorry, I

41:30 I don't want to get away with doing that

41:31 too much. Uh, but the pitching has been

41:34 a little underrated by the Clowns the

41:36 last couple weeks, but the defense last

41:38 night was what really impressed me and I

41:41 think shocked us all here at Kaufman

41:43 Stadium. They came into this series last

41:45 in trick plays and all they did was turn

41:48 14 last night. Guys, that's as many as

41:51 they had in the threeame series combined

41:54 last weekend [music] in Tacoma. Bobby

41:56 Leay leads the way for them. Of course,

41:58 Carell Prime with a ton of

41:59 opportunities. He's second on the team,

42:01 but you got a [music] lot from the

42:02 outfield as well.

42:03 >> Well, you saw a trio of trick plays from

42:04 Eli Payeyton at third base, which led

42:06 the team. And then Brian Dansro had one

42:08 [music] in left field last night. He is

42:10 serving as the designated fielder

42:12 throughout the game today. So, you will

42:14 see him in left now in back-to-back

42:16 contests. Yeah, Dale Francis Jr. is the

42:19 left fielder on the lineup card. I would

42:21 be pretty shocked if we saw the slugger

42:23 out in left here this afternoon as you

42:25 get to look at the numbers for the

42:26 Banana Ball rookie, Mr. Brett Maddock

42:28 originally from the Golden State but a

42:31 guy who started and ended his college

42:33 career in Kansas. He was an ER nurse a

42:35 couple hours down the road in Witchah.

42:37 This is a really special start for him.

42:38 Yeah, and he was really good in his

42:40 final two seasons at Kansas Wesley in 35

42:43 starts and eight of them were complete

42:45 games in 2025. Maddak was named to the

42:48 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference

42:50 first team and he's looking for strong

42:52 results here today. And now you see the

42:55 Savannah Banana starting lineup. The

42:57 Doctor DR Meadows at the top as per

42:59 usual. Robert Anthony Cruz elevated a

43:01 spot. KJ, Kyle Jackson elevated two

43:04 spots. Dan Overs cleaning it up. Then

43:06 it's Loy, Alexiatis, MJG, Cox, Hosley,

43:09 [music] and Olsen as we will toss it

43:11 down to the field to Brandon to get this

43:14 thing going.

43:17 >> Kansas City.

43:19 When the clowns disappeared, they could

43:22 have very well stayed that way,

43:24 disappeared and gone forever. But thanks

43:28 to the help of the Negro League Baseball

43:31 Museum right here in Kansas City, their

43:34 story lives on. [cheering]

43:39 And Kansas City, their story will

43:42 continue to live on and create millions

43:44 of fans around the world. And nobody is

43:48 more deserving of high praise for

43:51 keeping that story alive than but one

43:54 man. So, Kansas City, here tonight to

43:58 help us start [music] the clock. Please

44:02 get up out of your seats and let's give

44:04 IT UP FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE NEGRO

44:07 League National Baseball Museum, Bob

44:11 [screaming]

44:13 Kendrick.

44:16 >> [cheering]

44:29 >> What's up, Kansas City?

44:34 [cheering]

44:35 On behalf of all of us at the Negro

44:38 Leagues Baseball Museum and in memory of

44:42 my friend, the late great Buck O'Neal,

44:46 we welcome you to Banana Ball.

44:50 And now it is my honor to get ready to

44:53 play ball. So, I'm going to need your

44:55 help.

44:56 >> You ready? [cheering]

44:58 >> You didn't sound like you were ready.

45:00 Are you ready?

45:03 >> All right. On the count of three, count

45:05 it off with me and we're going to do

45:07 play ball.

45:09 >> One, two,

45:11 >> THREE, PLAY BALL.

45:17 >> Over 38,000 fans

45:20 join Bob Kendrick

45:22 in starting the clock

45:25 here in the K, home of the Kansas City

45:27 Royals. Kaufman Stadium.

45:29 The fourth ever banana ball game

45:33 played here in the wonderful home of the

45:34 Royals and Brent Madak pours a strike in

45:37 to Dr. Meadows to get us underway.

45:40 Couple hops to Lead Short between the

45:42 legs. Plenty of time across the diamond

45:45 >> and this afternoon starts exactly how

45:48 last night began. Lea trick play the

45:50 team leader to get us going.

45:53 >> Yeah, we talked about how it was a

45:56 franchise high for the Indianapolis

45:58 Clowns. 14 trick plays in yesterday's

46:01 contest. In fact, guys, the last time

46:03 they turned double digits was actually

46:05 12, which was in the open against the

46:08 Savannah Bananas. So, something about

46:10 seeing the boys in yellow makes them

46:11 say, "Hey, we got to play some fun and

46:13 flashy defense."

46:14 >> Well, again, just six hits last night

46:16 for the Bananas. A lot of it was just

46:18 soft contact that the Clowns pitching

46:20 was able to induce, starting with Daniel

46:22 Foster. And now today, Brett Maddock

46:24 trying to follow suit as he's got a

46:26 one-1 count on Robert Anthony Cruz.

46:29 >> Soft contact right on Q. Carell Prime

46:32 will flip it behind the back. Able to

46:33 juggle it and step on first just in time

46:36 to take care of the hustling rack.

46:39 >> And Josh, I think to go off that point

46:41 with the soft contact in last night's

46:43 game. We mentioned it in the open. Eli

46:45 Payton led the way with three trick

46:47 plays. It's not all that easy for a

46:49 third baseman with that long throw

46:50 across the diamond to lead his team in

46:52 trick plays, even though they do get

46:54 opportunities.

46:58 >> KJ trying to jump start the offense with

47:00 two outs.

47:02 Kyle Jackson here in his second full

47:04 tour, third year in Banana Ball after he

47:06 was on the visitors. Banana Ball's

47:08 developmental team in 2024, finishing up

47:10 that season with the Bananas, giving the

47:12 fans an opportunity in the second deck.

47:15 They give KJ another life. Only one foul

47:19 ball caught by the fans last night. It

47:21 went against Brian Cox

47:25 in the seventh inning as that gets the

47:27 top of the zone. Late strike call from

47:29 Andrew Gerard, home plate umpire.

47:34 And a great stop by Chris Burgess,

47:36 >> the showman of the game last night.

47:42 behind the dish once again. Not too

47:45 often you see a guy behind the plate day

47:47 game after a night game.

47:49 >> That's tough, Bo. That's a tough one. A

47:51 tough assignment.

47:53 SWING AND A MISS. FAST ball right by KJ.

47:57 And Brett Madak a one, two, three start

47:59 to his afternoon. And efficient work for

48:02 Brett Maddox as well. 2 minutes and 21

48:05 seconds on the clock to start the rookie

48:08 right-handers AFTERNOON. AND HOW ABOUT

48:10 THAT? DOING A LITTLE FLOSSING TO

48:12 CELEBRATE that punch out.

48:15 >> Assistant coach Tony Voro was flossing

48:17 coming out of the dugout. Looks like

48:19 Madx got some inspiration from him. Here

48:21 is how the Bananas line it up

48:23 defensively. Left to right in their

48:24 outfield. It's Rack D and Alexi third to

48:27 first in the infield. KJ Cox Olsen and

48:29 MJG Loy behind the plate doing the same

48:32 thing as Burgess catching in the day

48:34 game after the night game. And Alex

48:35 Ziggler, the designated fielder, will be

48:37 starting the game at first base. And the

48:38 Bananas have got to be hoping they'll

48:40 get similar things from what they got

48:41 from Drury last weekend in Knoxville,

48:44 Tennessee. It was Drury on the mound who

48:46 induced 11 trick plays in his start

48:49 against the Texas Tailgator as the

48:51 Bananas will try and earn the equalizer

48:53 point. The visiting team has more trick

48:56 plays than the home team going into that

48:58 final inning. They get an additional

49:00 point.

49:00 >> And as always, the trick play number for

49:02 the glove magician Ryan Cox stands out.

49:04 those 51 trick plays, fourth most in the

49:07 sport here in his fifth year as a banana

49:10 ball player. In the middle of it all,

49:11 Austin Drury, the number four overall

49:13 draft pick, the Banana's first round

49:15 selection. He has lived up to the

49:16 billing, a team high 35 and two/3

49:18 innings pitched in those 38 strikeouts,

49:21 third most in the tour, only behind

49:22 Brett Sanchez and Mr. Clark for the

49:25 Tailgator.

49:26 >> And you see 38 strikeouts for Austin

49:28 Jury right now in the top five amongst

49:30 all banana ball pitchers. AD has made

49:32 two career starts against the Clowns.

49:34 One in the regular season, one in the

49:36 open. He has won each of those games.

49:40 >> And here's the scorching hot Clowns

49:42 lineup. Gray at the top, then JBJ Leay

49:44 Lidle cleaning it up. Still hitting

49:46 above 400 those batting averages from

49:49 Bradley Jr. and Lidle respectively third

49:51 and second most on the tour. Then Dale

49:53 Francis Jr. Your defending player of the

49:55 week, Prime, Payton, Holizer, Burgess,

49:57 and Vasquez to round it out. And it's

49:59 the guys batting two and three in this

50:01 order who have both taken Austin Drury

50:03 deep this season. Leed tagged him in

50:05 that banana ball open. And Jackie

50:07 Bradley Jr. first AB against AD in

50:10 Anaheim. Left the yard out to left

50:12 center field.

50:14 This is as dangerous a lineup as as they

50:17 come. Joe Gray Jr. homers in four of his

50:20 last five weekends, guys. He's going to

50:22 need to tattoo one out of the ballpark

50:24 to keep that streak going today. And two

50:26 lead off pops as well for Gray.

50:30 >> Doesn't take him long.

50:32 >> No, it does not. Didn't take him long

50:33 yesterday as he smashes this deep down

50:35 the left field line.

50:38 And that will be a foul home run.

50:41 >> Only counts for a strike in banana ball

50:44 with Joe Joe Gray Jr. ready to swing

50:46 today.

50:48 He

50:48 >> had a flare single up the middle to

50:50 start the bottom of the first inning

50:52 last night. one for three with a sprint

50:54 on the contest

50:56 and did a streak of three straight games

50:58 with a long ball

51:07 >> and now a two- two count. Former Dodgers

51:09 minor leager on the mound. Former

51:11 Brewers and Royals farm hand in the box.

51:15 Loud contact. Rack in pursuit. He can't

51:18 get there

51:21 >> as Gray will trot into second. Stand up

51:24 double. And that is your inning winning

51:25 run in scoring position.

51:28 >> Joe Gray Jr. didn't like that he only

51:29 got a bloop single last night after that

51:31 loud weekend in Tacoma. Sends that one

51:34 for a ride after the loud foul earlier

51:37 in the at bat. We said it. He's ready to

51:39 swing.

51:40 >> You see right there, his fifth double in

51:42 May, second most in the league.

51:46 Junior.

51:53 >> What a hand for JBJ. His last major

51:56 league stop. Kaufman Stadium. Sight of

51:59 his last major league home run. Sporting

52:01 the old Ted Williams 1941 average right

52:04 there. A crisp 406 double last night.

52:11 and JBJ

52:13 just like what do we got going on here?

52:17 Time is called and okay, the ball is

52:20 just going to be stolen by our director

52:23 of entertainment, Zack Fangelo.

52:25 >> Yeah, JBJ, just like Ted Williams, spent

52:27 the majority of his MLB career in the

52:29 Red Sox uniform, but Jackie finished up

52:32 2023

52:33 right here in Kaufman, Kansas City

52:35 Royals.

52:37 well-earned standing ovation for the

52:40 11-year big leager

52:43 >> and two more World Series titles that

52:45 Ted Williams ever had. That hurts.

52:49 >> My grandpa Larry Scallan not happy to be

52:51 reminded of that fact. Although thrilled

52:54 about the four World Series

52:55 championships that have come here in the

52:57 21st century, that's for sure.

52:59 >> My grandfather's looking down and

53:00 probably thinking the same thing. Here

53:02 we go.

53:05 >> Another one, two from Drury. Swing and a

53:08 miss. Fast ball blown by JBJ. Big first

53:12 out for the Nanners.

53:13 >> Yeah, and that's what helps out when you

53:15 have Austin Drury on the pitcher mound.

53:17 Again, we talked about top five in

53:19 banana ball right now in strikeouts with

53:22 guys in scoring position. AD can dial up

53:25 that swing and miss stuff, but Bobby

53:27 LEAY DRIBBLES THIS ONE INTO CENTER FIELD

53:29 AND COACH FOX WILL WAVE IN. JOE GRAY JR.

53:33 SLIDING IN SAFELY. THE CLOWNS OPEN UP

53:37 THE BALL GAME. THREE BATTERS IN AND

53:39 ALREADY UP A POINT ON THE NANNERS.

53:42 Kansas City, you know the drill.

53:44 Shortstop number seven, Bobby, but his

53:48 last name's Leay, baby.

53:52 Second walk-off on the year for the

53:54 clown. Shortstop.

54:01 And I'll tell you what, a guy I had at

54:03 the top of my infielder list going into

54:05 the draft. He made it all the way to

54:07 pick number 10 in the second round. And

54:10 he has paid dividends for Eric Fox and

54:13 company. Great to see Peanuts scan in on

54:16 the walk-off celebration.

54:18 Peanuts can cut a rug.

54:21 Who says a mascot can't can't let it

54:23 loose?

54:27 When you lead the team in ship like we

54:28 talked about last night, you you get

54:30 that opportunity.

54:31 >> Another look at the walk-off chopper

54:33 right back up the shoot. Meadows has a

54:35 fantastic arm and he showed it off right

54:37 there. Perfect strike to Loy at the

54:39 dish, but too much speed from Joe Gray

54:42 Jr. as he gets to dance with Peanuts and

54:45 the boys.

54:47 One- nothing Clowns lead one inning in.

54:50 It was the exact opposite last night. A

54:51 Dan Ober solo home run got the bananas

54:55 off to a hot start. it would end up

54:56 being the only point they scored. Clowns

54:58 three unanswered to take it 3-1.

55:00 >> And it's funny, we've talked so much

55:02 about the long ball and the hard hit

55:04 balls. Of course, you get one from Joe

55:05 Gray Jr. in that inning, but that's just

55:07 kind of a CNI single right up the middle

55:08 from Bobby Leay, who who's got some pop

55:10 himself, team leader in doubles. And

55:12 that's how the Clowns just keep that

55:14 line moving and keep winning these

55:16 innings.

55:16 >> And you see the effect of quick

55:19 walk-offs in trying to negate the

55:21 Bananas earning the equalizer point.

55:23 only able to record one out there in the

55:25 first inning coming via an Austin Drury

55:27 strikeout from there. Bananas no

55:29 defensive chances to try and earn a

55:31 trick play there. So, the Clowns up

55:32 early, two to zero in that department.

55:36 Best defense is a good offense.

55:37 Something like that, right? I've heard

55:39 that a time or two.

55:41 Breaking ball gets the top of the zone

55:43 to jump ahead of Dan Oburst, the

55:46 aforementioned home run hitter last

55:48 night in the first who had been talking

55:50 about how tough it is to leave the yard

55:53 here in Kaufman. One of four home run

55:55 hitters last night with Loy Holesizer

55:58 and Burgess.

56:00 And none of them went to right field,

56:02 which is where they've notably kind of

56:03 moved the fences in with the bullpen.

56:06 One of the bullpens,

56:07 >> right? All four home runs coming from

56:09 right. He's yanked to left.

56:12 2-2 coming to the Danners. Team leader

56:14 in hitting. 391 batting average. And

56:16 Madak backto-back punch outs on the fast

56:19 ball. He only sits about 88 to 90 with

56:22 the gas, but it sneaks up on you,

56:24 especially with the deceptive change up

56:26 slider and curve he's got in his back

56:28 pocket. Well, I'll tell you what makes

56:29 this kind of an advantage for Brett

56:31 Madak and the Clowns. The Bananas only

56:33 faced him once in Anaheim. Madic just

56:36 faced four batters, had a pretty quick

56:39 and easy inning, a scoreless frame, and

56:42 now still has the benefit of a team that

56:44 really has no experience against this

56:46 youngster.

56:49 Bill Loy,

56:51 the solo home run in the second inning

56:53 as the second batter last night. And I

56:55 wonder how important that part point is

56:56 from Josh early in a ball game. I guess

56:59 we'll revisit.

57:00 >> We will. Long run for Brian Dansfro, the

57:02 designated fielder. Oh, nearly pulls off

57:05 a fantastic tornado catch in pound

57:07 territory.

57:08 >> My man Dance really wanted me to get

57:10 that point out there. Uh, you know, Josh

57:12 and I, we'd love to get up to 88. Pico,

57:14 I know you're hitting triple digits, but

57:16 a lot of these guys, they're seeing

57:17 legit fast balls into the mid90s every

57:20 night in the BBCL World Tour. And so

57:22 when you get someone like Madak who has

57:24 been working on his control, it's 88,

57:26 but it's pinpoint and that's early in in

57:30 the game and you haven't seen him yet.

57:31 That could get you just a little bit off

57:33 balance.

57:34 Just on the other side of the coin,

57:36 you've got Austin Drury. He sits 92 to

57:38 94. It was double strikeout single,

57:40 walked it off on him. Velocity is not

57:43 the allimportant metric when it comes to

57:45 pitching. And you see the movement on

57:46 the fast ball for Madak as well as he

57:49 evens up the count and then slows Bill

57:50 Loy down. leay between the legs over to

57:53 first in time and the clowns up to three

57:57 trick plays. Bananas yet to get one.

58:00 >> Talked about it on the pregame show.

58:02 Franchise record 14 trick plays last

58:04 night for Indie.

58:04 >> And I'll tell you what, it's all been

58:06 strikeouts and little grounders from

58:09 Brett Maddox so far. Five up, five down.

58:12 And now Reese Seleiatis who's had a

58:14 strong month of May up to the dish

58:17 trying to do some damage.

58:20 Battle between California kids. Madak

58:22 out of Oakdale. Alexiatis from Manhattan

58:25 Beach. And more weak contact. Pops

58:27 shallow center. Jaylen Vasquez and

58:30 Leeday coming together. They both

58:32 collide and it ends up falling.

58:35 Miscommunication between Leeday and JV.

58:39 What we have right there, gentlemen, is

58:41 a failure to communicate. And 38,000

58:45 people here at the K saw that one

58:47 coming. I mean, they're both looking for

58:49 a tip drill and nobody calls the other

58:52 off.

58:53 >> And look, the Clowns kind of got away

58:55 with some things last night. They had

58:57 six combined trick plays, missed and

58:59 errors. They just silenced the Bananas

59:01 bats so much that it didn't really rear

59:03 its ugly head too much. Also got clutch

59:05 hitting from Holesheiser and Burgess

59:07 that helped a whole lot. Now it's put

59:10 Brett Madak in a little bit of a jam as

59:12 he misses to Max Young Goldberg. Little

59:14 housekeeping who gets the trick play

59:16 missed.

59:18 I think it's on JV.

59:19 >> Oh, I was going to say the opposite.

59:22 >> Do I need to be the tiebreaker here?

59:24 >> Well, Josh is the official scorer, so

59:25 really he trumps us all.

59:27 >> We're on the same page. I I had it as a

59:29 TPME4.

59:31 >> And hey, we talked about the trip trick

59:33 plays last night. 14 of them, four

59:35 errors for the Clowns as well. Two of

59:38 them led to three bases.

59:40 >> And that's going to be a ball four

59:41 sprint for Max Young Goldberg. Alexi

59:43 scores easily from second. in an

59:45 unearned run against Brett Madak.

59:47 Remember in Banana Ball when you fire

59:49 four balls, all seven fielders behind

59:51 the pitcher and [music] catcher have to

59:53 touch the ball before it is live.

59:56 >> So if you've got a runner in scoring

59:57 position, they're going to come home.

59:58 >> And that just cost him a run. That

1:00:00 failure to communicate costs them a run.

1:00:05 >> MJG, his team leading 21st ball for

1:00:08 sprint of the year, his second of the

1:00:09 series.

1:00:11 coming.

1:00:14 >> It's something special.

1:00:17 Brian Cox coming to the dish.

1:00:31 and wax do laundry and shine up

1:00:35 again.

1:00:38 [music]

1:00:46 [music]

1:00:57 coming in as a designated runner number

1:01:00 22.

1:01:04 >> That's a lot to run with. Little

1:01:06 Rapunzel action there. I thought JT was

1:01:09 switching teams when he brought out all

1:01:11 those brooms.

1:01:14 Clowns humping the sweep. I see what you

1:01:16 did there.

1:01:20 Yeah, you usually don't see the team

1:01:22 trying to fend off the sweep but

1:01:24 breaking out the brooms, but look, the

1:01:26 show must go on. All right, we were

1:01:29 blessed with that. And son of a gun,

1:01:31 Sakalov the bananas rookie is okay. No,

1:01:34 he finally got rid of the wig. So, he

1:01:36 spent one pitch on the base pads with it

1:01:38 on and a good pickoff from Madak JT back

1:01:40 just ahead of the tag from Prime.

1:01:44 Four stolen bases in seven tries to

1:01:46 start his banana ball career as Ryan Cox

1:01:49 loops this to right center. Nice running

1:01:52 snag. Joe Gray Jr. puts an end to the

1:01:55 top of the second. But the Bananas

1:01:57 capitalize on a trick play missed from

1:01:59 the Clowns. They push their first run

1:02:01 across and have a chance to turn that

1:02:04 into their first point of the game when

1:02:06 we come back.

1:02:10 All

1:02:16 right, I got my Austin Drury.

1:02:21 >> Well, Brandon, it's Princess Patia over

1:02:24 here on the third base side of third

1:02:27 base in left field, which I like to call

1:02:30 the royal section.

1:02:32 >> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever.

1:02:34 Potassi, you know what? I think it's

1:02:35 about high time that we kick this off.

1:02:38 Side versus side. Let's do it. DJ, PLAY

1:02:41 THAT TRACK.

1:02:44 >> All right. All right. Y'all got to know

1:02:51 [cheering]

1:02:54 what

1:03:01 >> and the first point goes to

1:03:04 >> THE FIRST BASE IN RIGHT FIELD TIME.

1:03:14 HEY,

1:03:25 come on.

1:03:27 [cheering]

1:03:35 >> And the second point is

1:03:42 Time to put the spotlight on the fans

1:03:44 with the Go Bananas fan cam brought to

1:03:46 you by Minions and Monsters.

1:03:50 And I'll tell you what, looks like some

1:03:52 Bananas super fans have taken over the

1:03:54 fan cam. It's the Minions themselves.

1:03:58 See Minions and Monsters only in

1:04:00 theaters on July 1st.

1:04:03 It's going to be bananas.

1:04:06 >> [cheering]

1:04:08 [music]

1:04:10 >> They are [cheering]

1:04:13 >> better late than never.

1:04:17 [cheering]

1:04:17 >> You know, people been saying it, Cam.

1:04:19 You might not know this. That's going to

1:04:21 be the Chinatown for our generation.

1:04:25 >> I've heard that. You know, I started

1:04:27 hearing that this weekend.

1:04:30 >> Relax.

1:04:30 >> Filmir is making a comeback.

1:04:33 >> It's just Minionville. I've heard

1:04:35 there's a minion that does a great Jack

1:04:37 Nicholson impersonation.

1:04:42 >> Right back up to shoot Joe Lidle. Stay

1:04:45 scorching hot my friend. Team leader

1:04:47 coming in hitting .408. Second best

1:04:49 batting average in the sport. Ti 492 on

1:04:52 base percentage. Both of them will add a

1:04:55 couple ticks as his good buddy Malachi

1:04:57 Mitchell takes over for him at first.

1:05:03 And I found out this weekend, guys,

1:05:04 Malachi Flash the Kid takes him 15

1:05:08 minutes to get all the wristbands and

1:05:11 all the necklaces on. So, it's a process

1:05:15 for him to get ready to be, you know,

1:05:16 just the best base runner in the history

1:05:18 of the league.

1:05:19 >> Alex Ziegler has trouble with the

1:05:20 pickoff attempt from Austin Drury. Good

1:05:22 ricochet to Alexiatis. So, Mitchell only

1:05:24 gets an extra 90.

1:05:27 >> That looked like a pretty good pickoff.

1:05:30 What are your thoughts on this one,

1:05:32 Josh? We get another look right here.

1:05:36 >> H

1:05:39 >> just looks a little out of Ziggler's

1:05:42 reach on first look for that replay. I

1:05:44 think that's an E1 on Austin Drury.

1:05:46 >> First error in his Banana Ball career as

1:05:48 this one goes up to the third deck.

1:05:50 Bobbled by a fan. Had it right in the

1:05:52 bread basket.

1:05:54 Came up empty.

1:05:56 Dale Francis Jr. one for three. A run

1:05:58 scored last night. Tries to hold up. Did

1:06:01 he? Uh, no. He went around.

1:06:04 >> Crew Chief Trey Hudson confirms.

1:06:08 >> Hey guys, I got a little game for you

1:06:09 with Austin Drury, one of the best

1:06:11 rookies in the league here. We're both

1:06:13 South We're all South Park [music] fans.

1:06:14 Real quick,

1:06:16 >> Austin Drury, older or younger than

1:06:18 South Park?

1:06:20 >> Younger.

1:06:22 >> Older. You're both wrong. August 13th,

1:06:25 1997, the same day that South Park

1:06:29 premiered. We can't say the name of that

1:06:31 episode on this family broadcast, but

1:06:34 >> the same day.

1:06:35 >> Something something probes, right?

1:06:37 >> Something in in that ballpark. Yes.

1:06:40 >> Of course, we bring up we get the Austin

1:06:42 Drury birthday fact on Noah Nisnik's

1:06:45 birthday.

1:06:45 >> Yeah, it's almost unfair.

1:06:48 >> Happy birthday, Nasty.

1:06:50 >> The people on YouTube are ready for

1:06:52 that, by the way.

1:06:54 >> Got to check the chat.

1:06:57 >> Carro Prime behind one and two.

1:07:01 pair of knocks last night. They came in

1:07:03 two inning wins

1:07:06 >> for the Clowns. Prime came around to

1:07:08 score on the homers from Wholesizer and

1:07:10 Burgess.

1:07:17 >> Two-2

1:07:19 swing and a miss. Nasty bender there

1:07:21 from Drury for his third punchy. Yeah,

1:07:25 it's great to see from Austin Drury

1:07:27 after the single and his own error

1:07:29 putting Malachi Mitchell in scoring

1:07:32 position able to bear down get the

1:07:34 strikeouts of Francis and Prime. Now

1:07:36 he's got the matchup advantage against a

1:07:38 left-handed bat and Eli Payton.

1:07:44 >> Slaughter misses wide.

1:07:46 Payton 0 for three last night, but what

1:07:49 a first tour he's having. Hitting 337 as

1:07:51 you can see right there. and he slaps

1:07:53 this the opposite way. Flash is going to

1:07:55 TRY AND SCORE A BOBBLE FROM CRUZ and

1:07:58 that will tie the inning. Eli Payton in

1:08:01 the clutch

1:08:03 denies the Bananas the point they could

1:08:04 have earned here in the second.

1:08:07 You're talking about obviously Banana

1:08:09 Ball's all-time leader in runs. Chugging

1:08:11 around third base. Maybe you do hold

1:08:13 that ball just a little bit thinking I

1:08:15 got to get the perfect throw in here.

1:08:17 But that is perfect Eli Payton. What we

1:08:19 have seen all season long. He puts a lot

1:08:21 of balls in play and he uses all parts

1:08:24 of the field.

1:08:34 >> And how about the talents of Amadu Dioa?

1:08:39 >> I could do that, folks.

1:08:44 >> Mentioned it in Angel Stadium. It

1:08:45 certainly bears repeating. You have to

1:08:47 check out Lastic Boys on Instagram. It's

1:08:49 the account he shares with his twin

1:08:52 brother Al Hassan. Over 400,000

1:08:54 followers. Mindboggling content if you

1:08:57 could believe it.

1:09:00 Wholesizer over our heads up to the

1:09:01 third deck. Big league foul ball not

1:09:04 caught by the fans.

1:09:07 A big league blast last night. Home run.

1:09:09 Two ball for sprints.

1:09:14 He turned that second inning upside

1:09:15 down. Clowns came in trailing. ended up

1:09:19 earning their first point of the ball

1:09:20 game.

1:09:22 >> Three homers and 10 RBI in his last four

1:09:25 games for whole sides. Is that good?

1:09:27 >> I've heard it's good.

1:09:31 >> The ball four sprints were pretty good,

1:09:32 too. No one could get him out last

1:09:34 night.

1:09:36 >> And he saw that curveball very well.

1:09:40 >> Deuce is wild. Two balls, two strikes,

1:09:42 two outs. Payton the inning winning run

1:09:45 leading off first.

1:09:48 Swing and a miss. Tight slider as Drury

1:09:51 picks up a trio of strikeouts in the

1:09:53 frame. Four now on the afternoon,

1:09:56 but the Clowns capitalize on the Drury

1:09:59 error and we'll get it on down to the

1:10:02 field for the Kansas City Chiefs.

1:10:06 >> Kansas City, we know you are the HOME OF

1:10:09 THE CHIEFS, BUT HERE IN CLOUD TOWN, THIS

1:10:12 IS THE HOME of the Chiefs. I GOT THREE

1:10:15 GUYS HERE WITH ME WHO ARE ABOUT TO SHAKE

1:10:17 WHAT THEIR MAMA GAVE THEM AND YOU, THE

1:10:20 FANS, WILL DECIDE WHO did it best. THIS

1:10:23 ONE IS CALLED KANSAS CITY CHEEKS. First

1:10:27 up, JULIAN DJ. HIT IT.

1:10:34 >> COME ON, SHAKE IT.

1:10:37 >> MAKE THAT BOOTY WORK.

1:10:45 All right. All right. All right. All

1:10:47 right.

1:10:49 >> All right. SECOND UP, WE GOT TRADEN DJ.

1:10:53 HIT IT.

1:10:57 >> SHAKE IT. MAKE THAT BOOTY WORK, BOY.

1:11:01 Come on.

1:11:08 All right. All right.

1:11:10 AND

1:11:11 >> WE GOT MITCH. DJ, GIVE IT TO ME.

1:11:18 >> Come on. OH, HE TAKE THE SHIRT off

1:11:22 now. MAKE THAT BOOTY WORK. COME ON.

1:11:26 CLOSE your eyes. Close your eyes.

1:11:34 [screaming]

1:11:35 >> ALL RIGHT. NOW IT IS TIME FOR YOU THE

1:11:37 FANS TO DECIDE OUR WINNER. WAS IT

1:11:41 JULIAN?

1:11:44 [cheering]

1:11:45 >> Was it Jordan

1:11:48 >> OR WAS it Mitch?

1:11:52 [cheering]

1:11:53 THANK YOU GUYS FOR TUNING IN TO KANSAS

1:11:56 City Cheeks.

1:11:59 Come on.

1:12:00 >> I'll tell you what, Jarius, it was

1:12:02 really our honor to tune in to Kansas

1:12:04 City Cheeks.

1:12:08 Heck of a competition. Danny Hosley

1:12:10 something special to start the third.

1:12:16 [music]

1:12:34 And for the first time in Banana Ball

1:12:36 history, Danny Hosley does a Bruno Mars

1:12:38 lip sync.

1:12:40 You like that one, Josh? [laughter]

1:12:45 The top of the third underway.

1:12:47 Brett Madak out for a third inning of

1:12:49 work. The most he's gone this year is

1:12:51 two and a third.

1:12:57 >> OH, HOSLEY. GOOD. OH, RIGHT OVER JOSH'S

1:13:00 HEAD. I thought he had a shot at it. and

1:13:04 Joe Gray Jr., welcome to the broadcast.

1:13:06 How excited would you have been to see a

1:13:08 foul out to Josh Tleski in the booth?

1:13:11 >> Boy, I run out the field.

1:13:15 >> You do that, I run out the field.

1:13:17 [cheering]

1:13:18 >> Oh my goodness. Chadwick right in the

1:13:21 booth next to us.

1:13:22 >> Come on out. Come on out.

1:13:24 >> I thought our producer had a shot at it.

1:13:26 [laughter]

1:13:29 >> Just out of his reach.

1:13:31 >> Got a great wingspan, too.

1:13:34 And Hosley just barely gets a piece of

1:13:36 that.

1:13:37 >> Joe, after you spent the first six years

1:13:40 of your minor league career in the

1:13:42 Brewers system, the Royals grabbed you

1:13:44 with the first minor league pick in the

1:13:45 rule five draft

1:13:47 >> as we'll pause for a Brett Madak behind

1:13:49 the back trick play. And now you get to

1:13:51 play in Kaufman Stadium, of course, the

1:13:53 big league, home of the Royals. Uh, how

1:13:55 special has this weekend been for you?

1:13:57 >> Um, you know, this is speaking from the

1:14:01 little kid in me. Um, and something my

1:14:04 dad has always helped me understand, but

1:14:07 really made me understand over the last,

1:14:09 you know, couple years of my career is

1:14:11 that

1:14:13 sometimes

1:14:17 >> you got it.

1:14:18 >> Nice piece of hitting, Jackson Olsson, a

1:14:20 one out double.

1:14:21 >> But, uh, you know, there's there's

1:14:24 different paths to get to the mountain

1:14:25 top, man. And you make, especially with

1:14:27 baseball, you make your career what you

1:14:30 want your career to be and how you want

1:14:31 to define it. you don't let nobody else

1:14:32 define it. So, this is a good it's a

1:14:35 good part of my career, man. You know,

1:14:38 um to be able to get in this stadium. I

1:14:40 was in his organization and, you know,

1:14:42 to play on this field. I said it's a

1:14:44 mountaintop moment, you know, just a

1:14:46 different way to get there.

1:14:49 >> Payton sails the throw to first.

1:14:53 >> So, Meadows will reach on the E5. That's

1:14:56 the first error in Eli Pton's banana

1:14:58 ball career.

1:14:58 >> That's a trick play missed. He tried to

1:15:00 throw that behind his back. That's one

1:15:02 of Payton's preferred trick plays, one

1:15:04 that he really feels pays homage to the

1:15:07 Clowns and the way in which they played

1:15:08 ball during their time in the Negro

1:15:10 Leagues, but little too aggressive of a

1:15:14 trick play send, especially with Olsen

1:15:16 in scoring position.

1:15:19 >> Joe, you guys, your bats went nuclear in

1:15:22 Tacoma last weekend. You continued the

1:15:24 trend last night, and I know this is

1:15:26 tough timing after the trick play miss,

1:15:28 but you guys have been great

1:15:29 defensively. made the 14 trick plays

1:15:31 last night, getting some good pitching.

1:15:32 How has the hitting led to overall

1:15:34 confidence on this team?

1:15:36 >> It's just being understanding that uh

1:15:38 you know, not necessarily to get

1:15:40 comfortable, but okay, don't panic. You

1:15:42 know, it's uh the the first few weeks I

1:15:45 feel like we were hitting a panic button

1:15:47 in situations that I don't think we got

1:15:50 to do. Oh man.

1:15:53 See,

1:15:54 banana ball.

1:15:55 >> Yep. Just a perfectly placed chopper.

1:15:58 Rack somehow got it over the leap of 65

1:16:01 Carell Prime at first

1:16:03 and he'll grab his second RBI of the

1:16:05 weekend.

1:16:07 >> Ty Jackson,

1:16:08 >> how about this cat, huh?

1:16:10 >> Oh, [laughter]

1:16:12 >> what do you got on Ty Jackson, Joe? I

1:16:14 >> I look I love I I love Ty, but Tai is

1:16:17 Tai. That's the best thing I can say.

1:16:19 [music] Ty Ty is his Tai's amazing man,

1:16:23 you know, and he

1:16:26 he does his thing.

1:16:28 He he does his thing for sure.

1:16:33 >> Yeah. But he's dope, bro. He's person uh

1:16:36 to be around. Very high energy. Never

1:16:39 changes, you know, and that's that's

1:16:40 that's that's called being a genuine

1:16:42 person.

1:16:42 >> Now, speaking of energy, Joe, what has

1:16:45 the energy looked like to you and all of

1:16:47 your Clowns teammates? You got your

1:16:49 first headline series in Victory Field

1:16:51 in Indianapolis a couple weekends ago.

1:16:53 What about the reception you've gotten

1:16:54 here in KC as well? Oh, I I mean the

1:16:58 biggest thing is man, everybody is

1:17:01 supporting us, you know. So, it's easy

1:17:04 to go out there, play with energy when

1:17:06 you got people who want to see the story

1:17:09 behind our team really, really come

1:17:12 true. So, it's just once again, it's a

1:17:14 matter of just understanding that

1:17:16 there's weight behind our name. And

1:17:18 everywhere we go, man, everybody's been,

1:17:20 you know, really excited [cheering]

1:17:21 about the stuff coming about and us, you

1:17:23 know, continuing the team in the

1:17:25 Indianapolis Browns, man. So, the energy

1:17:26 is crazy.

1:17:28 >> That's exactly what I've seen. And you

1:17:30 also get to be the only team in the

1:17:33 sport that has an elephant on the

1:17:36 roster. What's it been like playing with

1:17:38 Peanuts?

1:17:39 >> I mean, you know, we got to keep we got

1:17:41 to we got to stay stay quiet on who he

1:17:44 is, but uh let me tell you something,

1:17:46 man.

1:17:48 He the guy under this suit, Peanuts, you

1:17:53 know, he's an amazing guy. And I'm going

1:17:55 to be real with you. A lot of people

1:17:58 don't understand how hard it is to pitch

1:18:01 with that on, but also with gloves, you

1:18:04 know, like this guy used to throw he

1:18:06 still throw throw cheese, but he used to

1:18:08 throw cheese. And reason why it is

1:18:11 doesn't come out as hard as he used to

1:18:12 throw is because he got gloves on. So,

1:18:15 trust me, you know, it's amazing. He

1:18:17 could actually pitch, bro. I he was on

1:18:18 our regular staff, you know, get just

1:18:20 just the numbers.

1:18:21 >> Joe, I could have sworn Peanuts was a

1:18:23 real elephant, man.

1:18:25 >> Oh, yeah. He real elephant. Got trouble.

1:18:27 >> Now, have you taken Have you happened to

1:18:28 take any live abs against him in any

1:18:31 practices?

1:18:31 >> Yeah. Now, look, unfortunat, you know, I

1:18:34 this my boy, but I got a hit off of,

1:18:38 [laughter] you know, he ain't he ain't

1:18:39 did me dirty.

1:18:42 He done did some people dirty, I tell

1:18:44 you that.

1:18:45 >> [laughter]

1:18:47 >> He didn't get me though.

1:18:52 >> I'll tell you what, he's giving you an

1:18:53 opportunity.

1:18:56 >> Got to get out this end, boys. We got to

1:18:58 get out this.

1:18:58 >> No doubt. No funny business. That's good

1:19:00 banana ball feel from you, Joe Grey Jr.,

1:19:03 thank you so much for joining us.

1:19:04 >> You know, it's always a pleasure.

1:19:06 >> We appreciate you, Joe. Best of luck the

1:19:08 rest of the way today.

1:19:10 >> See y'all.

1:19:11 >> Goodbye, Joe. And hello to our Bananas

1:19:13 Foster family of the game.

1:19:16 >> [cheering]

1:19:18 >> Ladies and gentlemen,

1:19:21 >> please welcome to the field Chrissy

1:19:23 Sloth.

1:19:25 >> Across the United States, there are over

1:19:27 400,000 children and teens in foster

1:19:30 care without a permanent home. Look

1:19:33 around. That's enough to fill Kaufman

1:19:35 Stadium over 10 times the number of

1:19:38 children currently experiencing care. To

1:19:40 raise awareness and support this

1:19:42 community, we created Bananas Foster.

1:19:44 the official nonprofit of Banana Ball.

1:19:48 Our organization is dedicated to

1:19:50 celebrating the foster care community

1:19:52 while educating and inspiring others to

1:19:55 get involved. Tonight, we get to

1:19:57 celebrate the heirs family. After

1:19:59 experiencing foster care herself, Jill

1:20:01 knew that she wanted to be a mom to

1:20:03 other kiddos in need of one. And so, 24

1:20:05 years ago, she opened her home as a

1:20:08 single foster mom. She's gone even

1:20:10 further and co-founded a nonprofit

1:20:13 dedicated to recruiting and training

1:20:15 other foster families in their

1:20:17 community. In the last 24 years, she has

1:20:20 welcomed over 300

1:20:23 children and teens into her home and

1:20:25 adopted five into her family.

1:20:30 Fans, please join me in celebrating this

1:20:33 incredible family for making a

1:20:35 difference right here in your community.

1:20:40 Another massive shout out to Jill

1:20:42 Harris, a superhero in the foster care

1:20:45 community here in Kansas City.

1:21:06 Give it over one more time for our Banis

1:21:08 Foster family of the game.

1:21:12 [cheering]

1:21:13 You still have time to win big and help

1:21:16 Foster with tonight's 1550 rapper along

1:21:19 with the Kansas City Royals Foundation.

1:21:21 The winning ticket will be announced

1:21:23 later today.

1:21:29 And now fans, we're going to send it up

1:21:31 to the banana band. To the banana band

1:21:35 and Mars.

1:21:49 And I'll tell you what, YouTube, it's

1:21:50 just us.

1:21:52 For the first time today, we get to chat

1:21:55 just with you. Good day, YouTube.

1:21:58 >> Hope you guys are having a wonderful

1:22:00 Sunday afternoon.

1:22:02 >> Cam, what do you have to say to YouTube?

1:22:04 >> I love you, YouTube.

1:22:07 >> Great opening statement.

1:22:08 >> YouTube, when you came into my life, I

1:22:11 didn't go to work for like 3 weeks.

1:22:13 >> I was a broken man before. YouTube,

1:22:16 >> YouTube has shown me the light through a

1:22:19 gray sky.

1:22:21 Oh, and the pillows from the chat are

1:22:23 pouring in. Okay, we're about to have to

1:22:24 come back for commercial, so we'll chat

1:22:27 privately in the near future.

1:22:45 >> The Banana Band blasting away in front

1:22:47 of over 38,000 fans here in Kaufman

1:22:50 Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals.

1:22:52 We go to the bottom of the third inning.

1:22:54 The Indianapolis Clowns, the winners

1:22:56 last night, lead one point to nothing.

1:22:59 But the Bananas for a second straight

1:23:01 inning, have a run on the board. They're

1:23:02 trying to claim that first point, which

1:23:04 has been a bugaboo for them as of late.

1:23:06 >> Yeah, they've scored in five separate

1:23:07 innings here this weekend so far, but

1:23:09 they have only been able to hold the

1:23:11 inning lead once. And the Bananas enter

1:23:14 today with a league worth 60 12 hold

1:23:18 success rate. It's a key reason why

1:23:20 they're just five and six playing as the

1:23:22 away team. This pitching staff has

1:23:24 really struggled to hold up the leads in

1:23:27 which they've been given.

1:23:29 >> Chris [music] Burgess fouls a fast ball

1:23:31 straight off the mask of his

1:23:32 counterpart.

1:23:34 >> And speaking of a guy who can erase a

1:23:35 lead, we remember that in the seventh

1:23:37 inning last night, two on the board in

1:23:40 the top half for the Bananas. Chris

1:23:41 Burgess, this man hit the three-run

1:23:43 jack, walked it off, and gave us our

1:23:45 final score of three to one

1:23:47 >> with two outs, too. as clutch as they

1:23:49 come.

1:23:49 >> Huge flip. Huge flip.

1:23:51 >> Could have been 2-2

1:23:53 >> instead. 3-1. And then that's the ball

1:23:55 game.

1:23:57 >> 3-1 count

1:24:00 on the ever dangerous former Baltimore

1:24:02 Orioles minor leager. Three years in

1:24:04 their system, four years of pro ball

1:24:06 after that. Coxfield in between the

1:24:08 legs. 360 in plenty of time.

1:24:13 And it took us

1:24:15 >> to the home half of the third, but the

1:24:16 Bananas have their first trick play.

1:24:18 >> Yeah, that's great to see from the glove

1:24:21 magician.

1:24:22 >> Nice little fielded between the legs.

1:24:25 360 spin. Ideally, you get a double

1:24:27 trick play there from Alex Ziggler, but

1:24:29 the throw taking him to the corner of

1:24:31 that first base bag. No double trick

1:24:34 play, but now the Bananas with an

1:24:35 OPPORTUNITY AS MEADOWS TIPS TO RACK AND

1:24:38 HE SNAGS THAT ONE BEHIND HIS BACK. ALL

1:24:42 OF A SUDDEN, TWO OUTS and three trick

1:24:44 plays on the board for the Bananas here

1:24:47 in the bottom of the third.

1:24:50 >> There's your double trick play.

1:24:52 >> You talk about the Bananas not winning

1:24:53 innings, but we've talked about the

1:24:55 equalizer point quite a bit this

1:24:57 weekend. That's a step in the right

1:24:59 direction, this half inning right here.

1:25:01 And it's not even done yet.

1:25:04 >> Big swing and miss on the slider from

1:25:06 Joe Gray Jr. back at the top of the

1:25:08 order. Single his first time. friend of

1:25:11 the broadcast, Joe Gray Jr.

1:25:13 >> Fresh off the mic. That one is going to

1:25:17 be another knock for the kid out of

1:25:19 Carson, Mississippi.

1:25:23 So, make it two for two on the day,

1:25:26 three for five on the weekend.

1:25:30 And that's after he went five for 15,

1:25:34 three homers, two doubles last week.

1:25:36 Monae Davis, what do you got for us?

1:25:39 You can be the greatest. You can be the

1:25:41 best. You can be the king banging on

1:25:44 your chest. You can beat the world. You

1:25:46 can beat the wall. You can banging on

1:25:49 his

1:25:54 mountain. You can break. You can be a

1:25:56 master. Don't wait for yourself and you

1:26:00 go by yourself

1:26:06 and the world's going to know your

1:26:08 name's

1:26:18 going to know your name

1:26:22 and you'll be on the walls of the

1:26:25 Number 19.

1:26:28 >> What a starvest studded walk up.

1:26:31 >> Is there another walk-off in the script?

1:26:37 >> That was a little old music joke for

1:26:38 you.

1:26:39 >> They talk about the script in that song.

1:26:44 >> I I don't know. I don't know.

1:26:49 >> What are this? You guys talking about

1:26:50 some like 70s music?

1:26:53 I told you I had to introduce Fisher

1:26:55 Polydorov to disco

1:26:57 this weekend. That was a tough thing to

1:26:59 do. So I'm off [music] 70s music for the

1:27:00 weekend.

1:27:01 >> 80s. I mean, what a what am I missing

1:27:04 here? This Fleetwood Mac

1:27:06 >> the script like the band.

1:27:08 >> Oh, I've never heard of the song.

1:27:09 >> Never heard of him. Uh, okay. Off the

1:27:11 end of the bat, JBJ

1:27:14 giving Olsen some action and Jackie will

1:27:16 catch it.

1:27:18 >> Making a tough play look pretty darn

1:27:20 easy. see the Bananas claim their first

1:27:22 point of the ball game. We are knotted

1:27:24 at one through three innings of play.

1:27:33 [music]

1:27:38 Was a slim building first baseman and he

1:27:41 was a star basketball player as a member

1:27:44 of the Harlem Blue.

1:27:47 >> Where do you learn to handle a ball like

1:27:49 that?

1:27:51 I just want to tell you thank you for

1:27:52 doing what you're doing. Oh, man. My

1:27:54 pleasure. You know, watching that video

1:27:55 over there, I don't know how many times

1:27:56 I've watched it. And uh you know, that's

1:27:59 kind of where I draw all my inspiration

1:28:00 being a pitcher. You know, I got a I got

1:28:02 a pitch named the goose Tatum.

1:28:04 >> So, you know, but he sticks it under

1:28:06 here and kicks it. So, I kind of put my

1:28:08 own spin on it.

1:28:21 Legendary.

1:28:42 games.

1:29:01 This Tuesday on NXT, the men's

1:29:04 championship is on the line, and

1:29:06 reigning champ Tony D will do whatever

1:29:08 it takes to keep it. Tune in for what is

1:29:11 sure to be a ruthless, hard-hitting,

1:29:12 non-stop showdown. WWE NXT, Tuesday at

1:29:17 8:7 Central, right here on the CW.

1:29:24 We kick off our fourth inning of action

1:29:26 and a banana ball legend

1:29:28 wheeled out to the mound. It is the one

1:29:31 and only former Savannah Banana, former

1:29:34 firefighter,

1:29:35 current real life firefighter in

1:29:37 Oklahoma City, Mr. Matt Wolf.

1:29:40 He comes in rodeo clown kind of family.

1:29:43 The trick pitch master. He says he's got

1:29:46 about 20 of them in his bag. They call

1:29:49 him the logo. He sometimes has suspender

1:29:52 malfunctions, but he gets BATTERS OUT.

1:29:55 >> OH, BACK FLIP CATCH. BRIAN DANERO,

1:29:58 WELCOME TO THE BACK FLIP CATCH CLUB.

1:30:02 >> Are you kidding me?

1:30:04 Brian Dancero.

1:30:06 >> BRIAN DANCER. WHOA. OH MY GOODNESS.

1:30:11 OFFBALANCE. AND YET HE PRETTY MUCH

1:30:14 STUNTS THE LANDING THERE FOR THE

1:30:16 INDIANAPOLIS CLOWNS. THAT HAD EVERYBODY

1:30:19 IN KAUFMAN STADIUM TAKING A COLLECTIVE

1:30:22 GASP. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE PLAY.

1:30:31 >> Banana ball.

1:30:32 >> Wow.

1:30:33 >> Wow.

1:30:34 >> Are you not entertained?

1:30:35 >> That's why he's your designated fielder.

1:30:38 >> Alexi

1:30:40 slaps this the other way.

1:30:44 >> And has his first hit of the series. Oh,

1:30:47 what what is this, guys? I I see some

1:30:50 action in the barrel. Is that Is that

1:30:51 Tai Jackson? Surprise guest in the

1:30:54 barrel.

1:30:57 What in the world?

1:31:01 And how about Wolf throws the rosin bag

1:31:03 over to Prime at first. Deaks out

1:31:04 Alexiatis,

1:31:06 but misses the zone with the fast ball

1:31:08 to Max Young Goldberg.

1:31:14 360

1:31:16 pop to the left side. Brian Danero, how

1:31:19 the heck do you top your last one? OH,

1:31:21 TWISTING BEHIND THE BACK. YOU BETCHA.

1:31:25 Dancer putting on a showing left. And

1:31:27 all of the trick plays have been pretty

1:31:29 high level of difficulty for Bryant

1:31:31 Danro. His third of the series. Two of

1:31:34 them behind the back grabs like you just

1:31:36 saw. And also the backflip catch that

1:31:39 started this fourth inning.

1:31:42 Brian Dancro making a name for himself

1:31:44 out there in the field and he's done it

1:31:46 this season, guys. Oh. Oh, suspender

1:31:50 malfunction.

1:31:52 >> Yep. Matt Wolf drops Trow.

1:31:55 Misses the zone. 10 count on Ryan Cox.

1:31:59 >> Dantro's had a couple web gems out there

1:32:00 that weren't even trick plays. [music]

1:32:02 They were just gorgeous ball plays

1:32:05 >> and he's doing it all right now.

1:32:06 >> He He's a favorite of teammate Carell

1:32:09 Prime. He sings Brian Dancero's praises

1:32:11 as this one's hit over to the left side.

1:32:14 LEEDAY WILL FIELD AND FIRE ACROSS the

1:32:16 diamond in time to gun down Ryan Cox.

1:32:20 Three trick plays in the frame for the

1:32:22 Indianapolis Clowns. And Wolfie with a

1:32:25 2minut and 27 second inning. Clowns will

1:32:28 see if they can get the lead when we

1:32:30 come back.

1:32:41 up and dance ALONG TO A LITTLE Hey

1:32:45 Baby,

1:32:48 [cheering]

1:32:54 [cheering]

1:32:56 [applause]

1:33:07 I want to know

1:33:10 if you be my

1:33:21 I want to know

1:33:24 if you be my girl.

1:33:40 I'm going to make my own

1:33:46 baby

1:33:52 if you

1:34:04 want to know

1:34:07 if be my girl

1:34:12 when you turn and walk away.

1:34:18 >> You guys are amazing.

1:34:22 I want to know. I want to know.

1:34:33 Over

1:34:37 38,000 fans out of their seats, moving

1:34:40 it and grooving it here in Kansas City,

1:34:43 Missouri. The finale of this twoame set

1:34:46 between the headlining home squad, the

1:34:48 Indianapolis Clowns.

1:34:52 There's the namesake of the sport, the

1:34:53 Savannah Bananas. We're currently

1:34:54 knotted in a [music] 1-1 tie.

1:34:57 And Bob Leay, number three hitter for

1:35:00 Indie. The reason why the Clouds have a

1:35:03 point walk-off single to win the first

1:35:04 inning as he gets jammed on this one.

1:35:06 Meadows cruising in. It's going to fall

1:35:09 perfectly between Cox and DR. And Leeday

1:35:13 two for two on the day. Perfect

1:35:15 placement for Bobby Leay. Now multiple

1:35:18 hits in this contest. And son of a gun,

1:35:21 this guy just keeps on hitting. Up to a

1:35:23 13game hitting streak for the

1:35:25 Indianapolis Clouds. a 19game on base

1:35:28 streak.

1:35:28 >> Split looking handsome as always.

1:35:31 >> Nice perch he's got out on the batter's

1:35:33 eye. Check swing from L back to Drury to

1:35:36 second for one. Cox no chance. Lot runs

1:35:38 very well for guy whose primary position

1:35:41 is behind the ditch.

1:35:50 >> Another look. That is a trade that the

1:35:52 Bananas are thrilled about even though L

1:35:54 runs very well. the day 11 for 11 on the

1:35:56 year in stolen base attempts.

1:35:59 It's the most steals in the sport

1:36:01 without getting caught.

1:36:05 Of course, his teammate Flash pacing all

1:36:07 base runners with his 16 swiped bags

1:36:14 as Francis pounds this one into the

1:36:16 dirt. KJ between the LEGS FOR ONE.

1:36:19 ZIGGLER BEHIND THE BACK AT FIRST. THE

1:36:21 HITTERS GO AROUND THE HORN. THE DOUBLE

1:36:24 TRICK PLAY, DOUBLE PLAY.

1:36:26 >> AND THAT IS A 1 MINUTE AND 15SE SECOND

1:36:29 INNING FOR AUSTIN DRURY, THE ROOKIE, THE

1:36:32 FASTEST OF HIS YOUNG CAREER, COMING ON

1:36:35 JUST FOUR PITCHES.

1:36:42 >> T-shirt on your baby.

1:36:55 >> [cheering]

1:37:14 >> Thank you so much.

1:37:17 Heat.

1:37:35 Heat.

1:37:46 >> [cheering]

1:38:00 >> Kansas City. I want to hear you sing

1:38:02 along.

1:38:16 Oh, YouTube. It's just us. Hello,

1:38:19 everybody. I think we got about 30

1:38:21 seconds until we come back on the CW.

1:38:23 Everybody waiting patiently for us.

1:38:26 That's the power we have here in BTV

1:38:28 land.

1:38:29 >> YouTube AMA.

1:38:31 >> Just kidding. It's not It's not like

1:38:32 that.

1:38:32 >> Yeah, we just don't have the time. I

1:38:34 wish one day

1:38:46 Banana Bowl on the CW is brought to you

1:38:49 by PNC Bank. Brilliantly boring since

1:38:52 1865.

1:38:55 Nothing boring about this finale

1:38:58 here in the City of Fountains, Kansas

1:39:00 City.

1:39:01 A thrilling ball game. Four innings in

1:39:04 the books. Still five more to play.

1:39:06 Andrew Irvine, the pride of Clive, Iowa.

1:39:10 New man out of the pen for the Clowns.

1:39:12 He's got Danny Hosley in the nine hole.

1:39:14 Jackson Olsen in the 10 hole. And then

1:39:16 back at the top, DR Meadows due to swing

1:39:18 it.

1:39:20 Big swing and a miss. You see the run on

1:39:22 that fast [music] ball.

1:39:25 It's a high-powered heater. Slider curve

1:39:27 ball and change up to boot

1:39:30 >> as we get another foul ball nearly into

1:39:33 Mike Falvo, voice of the Indianapolis

1:39:35 Clowns PA version and Sharks booth.

1:39:40 >> Still no action for us here in the

1:39:42 visiting TV booth though.

1:39:45 >> Not yet.

1:39:46 >> There's a conspiracy about our setup.

1:39:50 This one tomahawkked

1:39:52 >> a clouds scraper. Makes it into the

1:39:56 third deck. No catch though.

1:39:58 >> What a moment this is for Andrew Irvine,

1:40:00 by the way. The kid from smalltown Iowa.

1:40:02 He thought his career was over a few

1:40:04 years ago pitching in Australia.

1:40:06 Fractured elbow

1:40:09 and gets the strike out.

1:40:12 >> In a major league ballpark, fellas. He

1:40:15 was driving Door Dash. Last year he was

1:40:18 playing men's league baseball and slow

1:40:20 pitch softball just a few months before

1:40:22 that. And right now he gets a strike out

1:40:25 in front of 38,000. Little bouncer

1:40:27 through the six hole. Jackson Olsson two

1:40:29 for two on the afternoon. I'll tell you

1:40:31 what, it's not for a lack of pedigree

1:40:32 for Drew Irvine. This is a guy went to

1:40:34 the University of Iowa, three years in

1:40:36 the Pirates organization, pitched a year

1:40:38 in the Pioneer League, as you mentioned,

1:40:39 a year in the ABL, that's the top level

1:40:42 of baseball down under.

1:40:45 But across the past couple years, never

1:40:47 expected he'd get to pitch in front of

1:40:49 over 38,000 fans in a big league park.

1:40:52 >> Yeah, I mean, high velocity is what had

1:40:54 a lot of teams very interested in him in

1:40:56 the draft process. He was a day one pick

1:40:58 for the Indianapolis Clowns. The big

1:41:00 bugaboo for him though has been 11 ball

1:41:03 force sprints issued on the pitcher

1:41:05 mound. Sometimes his control can be all

1:41:08 over the place and you see him unable to

1:41:11 get the call there against Dr. Meadows

1:41:13 and behind 20. It was a good looking

1:41:15 pitch. Andrew Gerard thought it was a

1:41:16 bit low. And another opportunity for the

1:41:19 fans. Still only one foul OUT TO A MAKE

1:41:22 IT TWO. RIGHT ON Q. DR. MEADOWS A VICTIM

1:41:26 OF THE FULL CAPACITY CROWD here in KC.

1:41:29 >> AND THEY'RE SHOWING UP FOR THE CLOWNS

1:41:32 PLAYING AS the home team this weekend.

1:41:34 Both fan caught foul balls caught in

1:41:37 favor OF INDIANAPOLIS.

1:41:41 10th overall pick in the WPBL,

1:41:45 number 29, Monae Davis. [screaming]

1:41:54 And you want to talk about star power on

1:41:56 this Indianapolis Clowns team? Doesn't

1:41:59 get much bigger than Monae Davis, the

1:42:02 only little leager ever to grace the

1:42:03 cover of Sports Illustrated. She gets

1:42:06 her Kaufman Stadium debut.

1:42:09 and she faces the Savannah Bananas for

1:42:11 the first time in her young banana ball

1:42:14 career. As you can see, only an inning

1:42:15 and two/3s under her belt so far. Her

1:42:17 first three appearances, just one ball

1:42:19 for sprint across a scoreless inning of

1:42:21 work. But the last two times out, she's

1:42:23 given up a run in each appearance across

1:42:25 three hits and two sprints.

1:42:28 >> We all got the privilege this weekend,

1:42:31 both teams, you know, ourselves, our

1:42:33 colleagues to go to the Negro League

1:42:36 Hall of Fame Museum. Bob Kendrick gave

1:42:38 us this great tour. Well, only one of us

1:42:40 was in it.

1:42:42 >> And Monae Davis didn't even know she was

1:42:44 in it. But her with the famous

1:42:46 Indianapolis clown, first female pitcher

1:42:48 in the Negro Leagues, my Peanut Johnson,

1:42:50 they have their picture in the museum.

1:42:53 >> You want to talk about a full bodies

1:42:54 chill moment.

1:42:56 >> Pleasant surprise.

1:42:57 >> So cool right there. Looks like that

1:42:59 fast ball just barely got a piece of

1:43:00 rack.

1:43:05 That will push JT Sakov, the Banana's

1:43:08 designated runner into scoring position.

1:43:10 Another look. Yeah, just graze the

1:43:11 jersey.

1:43:14 >> Oh, that'll hurt tomorrow. [laughter]

1:43:17 >> Rub some dirt on it.

1:43:18 >> KJ a little squibber. Payton no chance

1:43:20 on THE BARE HAND. SAKUP TRYING TO SCORE.

1:43:22 LEED FIRES HOME OFFLINE.

1:43:27 >> And now Cruz was looking to come home

1:43:29 ALL THE WAY FROM FIRST. THE THROW FROM

1:43:31 BURGESS GETS PAST DAVIS. PAY THROW BACK

1:43:34 TO MONAE IN TIME. ABSOLUTE PANDEMONIUM.

1:43:38 THE NANNERS COME AWAY WITH one run after

1:43:40 that madness. WHAT A WILD SEQUENCE OF

1:43:44 EVENTS. But Eli Payton, DESPITE HAVING A

1:43:49 COSTLY THROW THAT BROUGHT SAKOV IN, ABLE

1:43:52 TO GET THE BALL A SECOND TIME AND

1:43:53 DELIVER one perfectly to Monae Davis

1:43:57 applying the tag on Robert Anthony Cruz

1:44:00 and just stopping some bleeding. Only

1:44:03 one run there for the Savannah Bananas.

1:44:05 >> Brandon, what's happening down there, my

1:44:07 friend?

1:44:10 >> Great job.

1:44:12 >> There we go. fans of Kansas City, we

1:44:16 have got a race for the ages down here

1:44:19 on the field. It's going to take

1:44:21 determination and just pure baby chaos.

1:44:25 Here on the field with me, I've got 12

1:44:27 future Allstar and Hall of Famers.

1:44:30 Fletcher, Wells, Javi, Kanan, Clara, VA,

1:44:36 Wit, Xavier, Ally, Quinnland, Sleepy

1:44:41 James, and Beckham.

1:44:45 Ladies and gentlemen, we call this the

1:44:48 world's slowest race.

1:44:51 Parents, please place your babies.

1:45:00 All right, babies. Here we go. On your

1:45:03 marks, get set, go.

1:45:08 >> And they are off. We have 12 babies on

1:45:11 the infield dirt here in Kaufman

1:45:13 Stadium. The parents are way too CLOSE

1:45:16 TO THEM. THEY'VE GOT TO GET the parents

1:45:18 BACK BEHIND THE FINISH LINE. GET THE

1:45:20 PARENTS OUT of the race. OH, IT'S A

1:45:23 DISASTER. BUT LOOK AT THIS LITTLE BABY

1:45:25 CHUG. THAT WAS AN INCREDIBLE START. OH,

1:45:28 and the tears they are coming.

1:45:31 >> I mean, you couldn't have dreamed of a

1:45:33 better kickoff to the race. And now

1:45:35 about halfway to the finish line. The

1:45:38 waterworks have been let off. Just pure

1:45:40 confusion on the look of that little

1:45:41 youngster.

1:45:43 That's what we call pressure, Bo, when

1:45:45 you jump up to that jump out to that big

1:45:47 a lead.

1:45:49 And this might be a good thing we're

1:45:50 taking it slow. Our man, the stats,

1:45:52 Savant, Josh Tleski, he's got a lot to

1:45:54 work on on that last play. But here we

1:45:56 go, Bo. Here we go. Well, our original

1:45:58 leader just sitting on their rump.

1:46:02 Pretty confused. KJ trying to give him

1:46:05 some guidance. And we've got two more

1:46:07 toddlers chugging away.

1:46:10 A smile on this little rascal's face.

1:46:12 Getting close to the finish line. And

1:46:15 now that one's going to park it. OKAY,

1:46:18 MOTOR'S GOING AGAIN. Rumbling towards

1:46:21 the end. WHAT A PERFORMANCE.

1:46:26 NO [screaming] STOPPING. OH NO. JUST

1:46:29 shy of the finish line. THIS IS JUST

1:46:32 RUBBING it in.

1:46:34 [screaming]

1:46:35 >> Hot dog it. OH,

1:46:36 >> THERE'S THE VICTORY.

1:46:39 What a performance. And for all of the

1:46:42 folks who, you know, are keeping your

1:46:44 score books at home as far as the

1:46:45 world's slowest race is concerned, that

1:46:48 is a WB8 win for baby number eight. He

1:46:51 was eighth in line. And that was a heck

1:46:54 of a finish here in Kaufman Stadium.

1:46:57 >> Dominating dominating win. Not from the

1:47:01 start, but a little bit of a tortoise in

1:47:03 the hair type of a situation there.

1:47:09 >> And now back to your regularly scheduled

1:47:12 viewing. Middle of the fifth inning.

1:47:14 We're halfway through. About 58 minutes

1:47:17 left on the clock of our two-hour timer.

1:47:20 That will only matter if it runs out

1:47:21 before we get to the ninth inning.

1:47:24 Austin Drury back out on the bump facing

1:47:26 his

1:47:28 fellow former minor leager Carell Prime.

1:47:31 Quick 02 count.

1:47:32 >> We've talked so much in this series

1:47:34 about Nicolesizer, Dale Francis Jr., Joe

1:47:37 Gray Jr. But quietly in this winning

1:47:40 streak, Carell Prime has brought up his

1:47:41 batting average by 39 points, 6 for 11.

1:47:46 But it's been the guys in front of him.

1:47:48 Mainly Dale Francis Jr. who's been

1:47:50 clearing the bases. So, so no runs

1:47:52 driven in at that time, but he is sure

1:47:55 hitting the ball.

1:47:58 >> That's going to help the batting average

1:48:00 like that.

1:48:02 >> Little worm burner through the hole

1:48:04 >> and Clowns have the inning tying run

1:48:06 aboard. Fisher Polyora.

1:48:10 >> Speaking of a guy who's raising his

1:48:12 batting average,

1:48:16 >> Fischer Paulyorov with his second hit of

1:48:18 the season last night, roped a double.

1:48:22 He's got his traveling bag with him in

1:48:24 Kansas City.

1:48:32 Polydorov

1:48:35 legally the youngest player in the sport

1:48:37 at 20 years old. Fictionally the oldest

1:48:40 player in the sport

1:48:42 at something like mid late7s.

1:48:47 Haven't taken math since senior year of

1:48:49 high school.

1:48:51 He thinks the Minions movie is the rebel

1:48:53 without a cause of the next generation.

1:48:55 >> HEY PAULY DOROV SECOND KNOCK OF THE

1:48:58 WEEKEND. AND HE'S TWO FOR TWO in KC.

1:49:00 >> YOU CANNOT COOL DOWN FISHER PAULY DOROV.

1:49:05 >> I DON'T [screaming] CARE HOW MANY

1:49:06 decades he's lived through. The guy can

1:49:09 hit.

1:49:15 >> You want to talk about a jump to the

1:49:16 batting average? All of a sudden, he's

1:49:17 hitting 333.

1:49:19 >> Finally dominating the 21st century.

1:49:21 [laughter]

1:49:24 Just wait till he figures out computers

1:49:28 or color television

1:49:29 >> or smartphones.

1:49:33 >> Ball in a strike on Nico Hollesizer.

1:49:35 Inning tying run on second. Inning

1:49:37 winning run on first.

1:49:42 Wholesizer of course had the first of

1:49:45 the pair of three-run homers for the

1:49:47 Clowns. Both of them walk-offs last

1:49:49 night.

1:49:53 And good lumber, but straight to Cox at

1:49:55 short. He'll flip it to Olsen for a

1:49:57 double play.

1:50:02 >> Yeah, Flash just too big of a lead off

1:50:05 of second base. He was off on contact.

1:50:08 That is a great heads up play by Ryan

1:50:10 Cox collecting that looping liner and

1:50:13 then immediately jumping and throwing to

1:50:17 Jackson Olsen to double up the Clown's

1:50:19 designated runner. Now Drury only with a

1:50:22 man on first base and Fischer Polyoroff.

1:50:27 >> Yeah, that's huge in that it takes the

1:50:28 inning tying run out of scoring position

1:50:30 with two outs as well.

1:50:33 And we saw Flash get picked off at third

1:50:36 base last night. Kind of a get back

1:50:39 throw that ended up basically taking a

1:50:41 run off the board. [music]

1:50:43 And that one's a little tough. It's a

1:50:45 line drive. It's a force at third,

1:50:50 >> but you said it Josh, just a huge lead.

1:50:53 >> Yeah, and a misread off the bat.

1:50:55 >> Yeah, was just off on contact. Now this

1:50:57 one OVER TO JACKSON OLSEN, FIELDING AND

1:50:59 FLIPPING THROUGH THE LEGS. SEAGLER

1:51:02 BEHIND THE BACK, JUMPING SNACK, DOUBLE

1:51:05 TRICK PLAY ENDS THE FIFTH INNING FOR THE

1:51:07 NANNERS AND THEY GRAB THE LEAD FOR THE

1:51:10 FIRST TIME THIS AFTERNOON.

1:51:14 Nanners up two to one. Still plenty of

1:51:17 banana ball to go. Four innings on the

1:51:18 docket.

1:51:39 Oh my goodness, YouTube. It is just us.

1:51:43 Here comes the AMA time that

1:51:47 Cam shared earlier.

1:51:48 >> What you got? What you got?

1:51:50 >> That's called a chat.

1:51:51 >> Te's in the business. Oh, by the way,

1:51:53 that was a DQ shake snag when we saw Dr.

1:51:56 foul out to the fans. Top of the fifth

1:51:58 inning. The fan who caught the foul ball

1:52:00 won free DQ for their row. And I'll tell

1:52:03 you what, you guys can win at home by

1:52:05 scanning this QR code to download the DQ

1:52:07 app and earn your own rewards.

1:52:12 We've got roughly 8 seconds on the AMA.

1:52:16 Uh Jessica wondering if anyone at

1:52:18 Kaufman has said happy bday to Niz. And

1:52:21 Jessica, we will let him know.

1:52:23 >> I I know for a fact Cowboy Ky [music]

1:52:26 Luix, his teammate has.

1:52:36 >> That was the one question we've gotten.

1:52:39 Okay. Yes, we are having fun. I'm having

1:52:41 a lot of fun. Uh, Pretty Boy Floyd says,

1:52:44 "What is the dream broadcast [music]

1:52:46 guest?" Wow.

1:52:48 Uh, for me, Ian Eagle,

1:52:51 for those who may not know, voice of the

1:52:52 Brooklyn Nets, number two, playbyplay

1:52:55 football for CBS, voice of March

1:52:57 Madness. This guy only knows the sports

1:52:59 media.

1:52:59 >> Uh, probably Beetlejuice from the Howard

1:53:01 Stern show. [laughter]

1:53:04 >> Cam,

1:53:04 >> that'd be awesome.

1:53:07 >> Peanuts.

1:53:08 Final answer.

1:53:11 >> He's going to be going non-verbal on

1:53:12 you.

1:53:13 >> Blizz wondering what our favorite ad is

1:53:15 to read.

1:53:24 Welcome back to Banana Ball on the CW.

1:53:26 Last night, Fisher Polydor [music] off

1:53:28 pinch hitting the first extra base hit

1:53:30 in his Banana Ball career. Crisp double

1:53:33 off the left field [music] wall and then

1:53:34 on a trick pitch from Austin Drury. Just

1:53:36 an inning you go. Right back up the

1:53:38 shoot.

1:53:38 >> Oh, Knuckles with a couple old barrels.

1:53:40 How about that?

1:53:45 >> Hey, Patrick Mahomes.

1:53:48 That's the three-time Super Bowl

1:53:50 champion quarterback of the Kansas City

1:53:52 Chiefs.

1:53:52 >> I want to change my dream guest for the

1:53:55 YouTube chat.

1:54:04 >> I don't know if Tom Brady would ever

1:54:05 forgive me though, guys. guys. I think

1:54:07 that's the problem here.

1:54:08 >> Yeah, that's a diehard Patriots fan,

1:54:10 everybody.

1:54:11 >> Yeah,

1:54:11 >> Cam Stewart.

1:54:14 >> Nice to see some picture time from

1:54:16 Mahomes and company behind the dish as

1:54:18 Leeday has trouble grabbing the bouncer

1:54:20 from Dan Oburst. Nanner's cleanup hitter

1:54:23 reaches on the E6

1:54:25 to kick off our sixth inning of action.

1:54:31 >> Vinnie Santar Sierra has taken over on

1:54:34 the mound. Clown's 58th overall draft

1:54:36 pick,

1:54:39 eighthrounder, four pitch mix, fast

1:54:42 ball, low 90s, 91 to 93. He's got a

1:54:45 splitter, a slider,

1:54:49 and a to change up from time to time.

1:54:53 Over on the first pitch, Burgess, great

1:54:55 throw to second, but a little late.

1:54:57 Kirkland Banks has come in for Jaylen

1:54:59 Vasquez at second. Well, you're seeing

1:55:02 the Bananas putting the green light

1:55:04 special to good use today. Helped Sakov

1:55:06 score last inning that got the Bananas

1:55:09 up two to one in this ball game. And now

1:55:11 Obururst often running immediately and

1:55:13 putting himself in scoring position for

1:55:15 Bill Loy.

1:55:18 Slow roller Payton attacking and he

1:55:21 makes light work of it as Ober good base

1:55:23 running over to third base with just one

1:55:26 away. That was his eighth steal on the

1:55:28 year in as many tries. An underrated

1:55:31 base runner.

1:55:34 >> Another look at the fine play from the

1:55:37 Gold Glove finalist 2025 at Grand Canyon

1:55:40 University. Eli Payton

1:55:43 here for a strike. Great movement on it

1:55:46 as the infield is in for the clowns

1:55:48 against Reese Alexiatis.

1:55:50 [cheering]

1:55:54 >> Fly ball out to right. Bullsizer

1:55:57 will haul it in, but Oburst is going to

1:55:59 score easily as Super Reese does the

1:56:01 job. Sacrifice fly and the bananas a run

1:56:04 on the board for a second straight

1:56:06 frame.

1:56:06 >> And that is a run pretty much completely

1:56:08 manufactured by Dan Obururst

1:56:10 capitalizing on an E6 from Bobby Leay,

1:56:13 but then swiping second base, advancing

1:56:15 to third on the grounder to Payton and

1:56:18 scoring on the sack fly.

1:56:22 Never ever ever leave each other.

1:56:28 >> No.

1:56:30 Oh my goodness.

1:56:33 >> That might have been worse than

1:56:35 >> Nick Wilson eulogy for Joe Gray Jr.'s

1:56:38 broken bat last night. That was

1:56:40 gut-wrenching.

1:56:41 >> There's no happy ending for that.

1:56:43 Thought Ziggy is the heart and soul of

1:56:44 this team. How could you do that to him?

1:56:47 Just left the

1:56:49 >> the lifeblood. Yeah, we'll have words

1:56:51 for Cox and Olsson after this one. I

1:56:53 mean, that's that's an unseparable trio

1:56:56 right there.

1:56:56 >> He's gotten them so many double trick

1:56:58 plays this year.

1:57:00 >> MAX YOUNG GOLDBERG TRYING TO STEAL first

1:57:02 base. Unlucky hop for Burgess off the

1:57:04 back stop. And MJG for the first time in

1:57:08 his Young Banana Ball career. The rookie

1:57:10 swipes first. And I'll tell you what,

1:57:12 he's a little fortunate the way that

1:57:15 took a friendly bounce on his behalf. He

1:57:18 kind of stumbled coming out of the

1:57:20 batters box if that one took a

1:57:21 friendlier ricochet to Chris Burgess.

1:57:23 Might have been gunned down trying to

1:57:25 swipe first instead. Goldberg gets on

1:57:28 and is replaced by designated runner JT

1:57:30 Sakalov. Ryan Cox turns on this

1:57:34 wholeizer shy of the track for out

1:57:36 number three.

1:57:38 Sanierro gives up an unearned run

1:57:42 on the error from his shorts stop

1:57:46 >> and the Savannah Bananas a chance to

1:57:48 claim their third point. But before

1:57:50 that, let's get it down to the field for

1:57:51 the greatest slowman.

1:57:57 >> Cherry.

1:58:00 >> We've seen the world's slowest RACE, BUT

1:58:03 NOW IT'S TIME TO SEE IF THIS RACE WILL

1:58:05 BE EVEN SLOWER. I GOT SOME DADS WITH ME

1:58:08 WHO ARE READY TO RUN and we're going to

1:58:10 run from foul pole to foul pole

1:58:13 diagonally AND THE FIRST ONE TO GET

1:58:15 THERE will win. Gentlemen, turns off.

1:58:25 Let's get it. Come on, man. You got to

1:58:28 be a little quicker. ALL RIGHT, HERE WE

1:58:30 GO. ON [screaming] YOUR MARKS, get set,

1:58:35 GO. OH, AND THEY'RE OFF TO A FAST START.

1:58:39 WHO'S GOING TO GET THERE FIRST?

1:58:42 OH, we got a fumble.

1:58:45 They're getting there. They're getting

1:58:47 there.

1:58:49 Who's going to get there? Who's going to

1:58:51 get there?

1:58:56 All right, [screaming]

1:59:01 give it UP FOR OUR WINNER, JORDAN.

1:59:09 MONDAY, an all new episode of the CW's

1:59:11 hit series Sullivan's Crossing

1:59:13 continues. When love gets messy and

1:59:16 loyalty gets tested, the truth has

1:59:19 nowhere left to hide. Don't miss an

1:59:22 allnew episode of Sullivan's Crossing

1:59:24 Monday at 8:7 Central, only on the CW.

1:59:29 >> I'm not missing it.

1:59:31 >> Not anymore. You kidding me?

1:59:33 >> [laughter]

1:59:35 >> I was thinking I was like I don't know

1:59:36 if I'm going to watch.

1:59:37 >> You're telling me? Yeah.

1:59:38 >> You're going to tell me the truth has

1:59:40 nowhere left to hide.

1:59:42 >> I mean, you got me hookline and sinker.

1:59:45 >> No way. Got a real

1:59:49 >> I think we need some a guest star

1:59:51 appearance for Josh. Sullivan's

1:59:54 crossing. People, are you hearing us?

1:59:55 He's going to have great chemistry with

1:59:57 Chad Michael Murray.

1:59:59 Speaking about great chemistry with Chad

2:00:02 Michael Murray, Dr. Meadows, welcome to

2:00:04 the broadcast.

2:00:05 >> What's up, fellas? I just want to say

2:00:06 Josh, that was unbelievable.

2:00:09 >> You're a big fan of the ad read, huh?

2:00:10 >> That was unbelievable.

2:00:12 >> Thanks, Dr. That that means a lot coming

2:00:14 from you, man. Some of us do trick play,

2:00:18 some of us just read the stuff on the

2:00:19 paper, you know. [laughter]

2:00:21 >> Never read kind of passion as you did.

2:00:26 This one's skyed from Kirkland.

2:00:30 >> Cox tip

2:00:32 >> and he'll have to haul it in himself.

2:00:35 Dr. What's this series been like taking

2:00:36 on the Indianapolis Clowns? They've been

2:00:38 a heck of a competitor, huh?

2:00:40 >> Yeah, these these guys I mean we we

2:00:42 faced them earlier this year and uh

2:00:44 they're struggling with pitching, but I

2:00:45 mean they got it all figured out right

2:00:47 now. Their pitching has been phenomenal

2:00:49 this weekend. Those guys have been

2:00:50 swinging it like no other. Um it it's

2:00:53 fun to play against. They bring a lot of

2:00:55 energy. uh the story behind

2:00:57 that they have pre-show. So y'all seen

2:00:59 the play.

2:01:01 >> What do we got? Super Reese tip to Dr.

2:01:05 Tip again.

2:01:06 OH, INTO THE CAP ON THE HEAD OF OUR MAN

2:01:09 on the mic.

2:01:12 >> That's a new one, fellas.

2:01:14 >> That's [laughter] ridiculous.

2:01:15 >> NOW, HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU GUYS

2:01:17 PRACTICED SOMETHING LIKE THAT, DR. We

2:01:19 probably said it a few times and it's

2:01:21 got like surprisingly has a a weird

2:01:24 success rate. So like we're like let's

2:01:26 just try it.

2:01:30 >> I don't really understand the physics of

2:01:32 it.

2:01:32 >> You just have you take off your hat and

2:01:34 you laugh like

2:01:35 >> and did that hit you on the top of the

2:01:37 head?

2:01:38 >> Uh I think so but I'm not really

2:01:42 [laughter]

2:01:42 >> Maybe later.

2:01:44 All right, we'll table that. JBJ 0 for

2:01:46 two on the afternoon.

2:01:51 And now an opportunity for Cox, KJ, or

2:01:55 Cruz. Who wants it?

2:01:56 >> Robert Anthony Cruz. NICE SNACK. WELL,

2:01:59 DR. IT WAS BRIEF, BUT IT WAS A BLAST.

2:02:01 >> HAVE FUN. I LOVE to talk to you guys.

2:02:02 Uh, keep killing it up there. Love you

2:02:04 guys.

2:02:09 >> Banana Ball on the CW is brought to you

2:02:15 for your budget. Visit progressive.com.

2:02:19 Seventh inning coming up after this.

2:03:07 Hey,

2:03:10 Very

2:03:14 superstitious.

2:03:16 Come on.

2:03:18 >> Writings on the wall. [music]

2:03:21 Come on. Very superstitious.

2:03:33 13month old baby.

2:03:36 Yeah. broke the looking glass.

2:03:42 Seven years a

2:03:47 good days and you pass.

2:03:50 Oh,

2:03:52 when you believe in things you don't

2:03:56 understand, then you suffer.

2:04:01 So ain't the way.

2:04:04 Kansas City. GIVE IT UP FOR CHAR.

2:04:20 Heck of a ball game on our hands here in

2:04:22 Kaufman Stadium, home of the Kansas City

2:04:24 Royals. The Savannah Bananas lead the

2:04:27 Indianapolis Clowns three [music] points

2:04:28 to one. Six innings in the books, three

2:04:31 still to go as you get a look at the

2:04:33 remarkably talented Brandon and Jarius

2:04:36 singing and dancing with the clowns.

2:04:39 Taking us to our seventh frame of

2:04:41 action, Clark Gilmore, new man on the

2:04:44 mound, the 6'4 righty out of Reading,

2:04:46 Connecticut. First four years of his

2:04:47 college career at Dartmouth in the Ivy

2:04:49 League, finished up at the University of

2:04:51 Notre Dame. It's the final pick of the

2:04:53 inaugural Banana Ball Championship

2:04:55 League draft. And is just about as

2:04:59 entertaining

2:05:00 as any pitcher in the sport as the full

2:05:03 capacity crowd just got a image of their

2:05:06 quarterback Patrick Mahomes behind home

2:05:08 plate and went buck wild. Understandably

2:05:12 so.

2:05:17 Home family.

2:05:18 >> Now coming to hit the world's tallest

2:05:22 hitter,

2:05:26 Dakota Stilts. OH, BRITAIN.

2:05:31 >> And they get an up close personal view

2:05:33 of the tallest athlete either side of

2:05:36 the Mississippi, I'm pretty sure,

2:05:38 >> in the entire known universe.

2:05:40 >> This guy could be one heck of a red zone

2:05:42 target. I'm just saying.

2:05:46 >> [laughter]

2:05:47 >> I don't really know how you defend it as

2:05:49 Stilts fouls that off of one of his

2:05:52 stilts.

2:05:52 >> Now, this is one of the craziest battles

2:05:54 that you can possibly see. Stilts as

2:05:57 tall as he is and Clark Gilmore with so

2:05:59 many trick pitches in his bag.

2:06:06 >> Stilts with some entertainment.

2:06:17 Carly Ray Jepson.

2:06:20 >> I had that artist ready to roll.

2:06:23 It's a little roller foul.

2:06:24 >> And and here's the thing. You see

2:06:26 Gilmore getting ahead. O2. This is where

2:06:28 you have the liberty to mess around, try

2:06:30 some of those trick pitches. That's

2:06:32 exactly what he goes to. BUT THIS ONE

2:06:34 SAILING WAY BEHIND STILTS. Having a

2:06:37 little fun with Clark as well.

2:06:43 Heater misses inside to even up the

2:06:44 count at two and two.

2:06:46 >> Unless we forget this is a locked in

2:06:47 hitter. Stilts coming off an RBI knock

2:06:50 last night. LASER BEAM STRAIGHT TO LEAY.

2:06:52 Leaping catch at short.

2:06:55 >> Boy, it's been a barrel parade for

2:06:57 Dakota Stilts Albert and as of late just

2:06:59 hit it to the wrong spot there.

2:07:02 >> Well, now hopefully things are going to

2:07:03 continue for Jackson Olsson. Multiple

2:07:05 hits in this ball game. Great to see.

2:07:08 had that double in the third inning. His

2:07:10 first extra base hit since opening night

2:07:12 for the Savannah Bananas. Hopefully a

2:07:14 sign of really good things to come for

2:07:16 their second baseman.

2:07:19 Squibbert to Leay. He'll go between the

2:07:21 legs. Eighth trick play of the ball game

2:07:23 for the Clowns. They're still three

2:07:25 behind the Bananas.

2:07:27 Check that too. Nanners had 11 trick

2:07:30 plays on the scoreboard. We fixed that.

2:07:34 He goes living in the past.

2:07:36 the bananas as the away team can earn

2:07:38 the equalizer point if they have more

2:07:41 trick plays than the home team clowns

2:07:43 going into the final inning which with

2:07:45 37 and 12 minutes on the clock looks

2:07:47 like we're on a great pace for that to

2:07:49 be the ninth

2:07:53 top of the order heater just misses

2:07:54 below the knees to David Ray Meadows 0

2:07:58 for three foul out to the fans his last

2:08:00 time up

2:08:03 >> and Clark Gilmore he's been roughed up

2:08:05 the last couple of times Oh, but but

2:08:07 guys on March 27th against the Bananas,

2:08:10 he went an inning in a third scoreless

2:08:11 list. So maybe he just likes the the

2:08:13 yellow guys.

2:08:14 >> Pullizer tip drill. You bet. And Gilmore

2:08:18 fantastic against the Nanners once again

2:08:21 faces the minimum. Quick work of them.

2:08:23 >> 2 minutes and 11 seconds there for Clark

2:08:25 Gilmore. That is the fastest inning of

2:08:27 the afternoon for any Indianapolis

2:08:29 Clown's arm.

2:08:32 >> Let's get it back down to the field here

2:08:34 in the middle of the seventh. Time for

2:08:35 some sexual healing.

2:08:37 >> Ladies and gentlemen of Kansas City

2:08:40 tonight, we want to do our own version

2:08:44 of a danceoff here down on the field. We

2:08:47 understand that it's been a while since

2:08:49 these fellas have put on a show for

2:08:52 their ladies. But we're going to remedy

2:08:53 that mistake right here in Banana Land.

2:08:57 Not just a dance off, it's more of a

2:09:00 sexy off. Ladies and gentlemen, please

2:09:03 welcome to this game. We call this

2:09:06 sexual healing.

2:09:10 >> Fellas, are you ready?

2:09:12 >> Do it. Here we go.

2:09:13 >> We're going to kick it off with Amy and

2:09:16 Rick. Sexy Sachs, play us something

2:09:19 good.

2:09:26 All right. Now, Rick, take us back to

2:09:29 the 80s. Oh yeah. Oh, Kansas City. He's

2:09:35 getting sexy in here. Real smooth. And

2:09:37 the hat has come. Oh. All right. Now,

2:09:39 not too much more now, Rick. Now, Rick,

2:09:42 now hold on now. Hold on now, Rick.

2:09:46 Okay. Oh, ladies and gentlemen, it is

2:09:50 getting real sexual in here.

2:09:55 Rick, Rick, Rick, I THINK WE OH. OH,

2:09:58 ladies and gentlemen, thank you. Give it

2:10:00 up for your first contestants, Rick and

2:10:03 Amy.

2:10:05 >> Well, let's move it on over and Sean. I

2:10:08 think we can top that.

2:10:11 >> Daniel, play us something sexy.

2:10:20 Oh yeah. Oh. Oh. A lap dance here in

2:10:23 Kansas City, ladies and gentlemen. Oh,

2:10:27 it's getting sexy. And we are healing.

2:10:30 All right. Now, Sean, show us what you

2:10:32 got. We need something good. Okay. He's

2:10:35 taking the shirt off as well. Ooh. Bring

2:10:37 it on. Oh. Oh, he's taking us to the

2:10:42 bedroom right here in Kansas. Wow. What

2:10:46 a lovely couple. Ladies and gentlemen,

2:10:48 it's now time for you, the fans, to

2:10:50 decide. So, was it Amy and Rick?

2:10:56 >> [cheering]

2:10:59 >> Or was it Lysa and Sean?

2:11:04 [cheering]

2:11:05 >> Oh, ladies and gentlemen, I think I know

2:11:08 who our winner is. It sounds like Kansas

2:11:10 City is giving it up for Amy and Rick.

2:11:14 Ladies and gentlemen, that is Sexual

2:11:16 Healing.

2:11:18 >> Oh man, another brand new promo. That's

2:11:20 a winner in my book. I'll tell you what,

2:11:21 Saturday, the AVP League heads to

2:11:23 beautiful Aspen, Colorado. Watch as the

2:11:26 world's best battle to rule the beach

2:11:28 all summer long. The AVP League from

2:11:32 Aspen Saturday at 400 p.m. Eastern, 1:00

2:11:34 p.m. [music] Pacific on the CW.

2:11:43 Well, when you get one of the greatest

2:11:45 quarterbacks in National Football League

2:11:48 history and attendance, yeah, you got a

2:11:50 lot of bananas and clowns looking for

2:11:52 autographs on memorabilia.

2:11:54 I think Patrick Mahomes has been pretty

2:11:56 busy with his spot behind home plate.

2:12:00 >> Talk about threading the needle on the

2:12:01 field. Threading the needle trying to

2:12:03 sign through the mesh there.

2:12:05 >> Impressive.

2:12:06 >> Another one of the greatest athletes on

2:12:08 planet Earth. Kelsey Whitmore takes over

2:12:11 here for the home half of the seventh.

2:12:13 The proud of Tmacula, California. It's

2:12:16 been on the United States women's

2:12:18 national baseball team since 2014. the

2:12:20 number one overall pick in the Women's

2:12:23 Professional Baseball League draft. And

2:12:25 Bobby Leday swinging at the first pitch.

2:12:28 That's going to be muscled deep out to

2:12:30 right center. Leay is THINKING ABOUT TWO

2:12:33 NOW. THINKING FOR THREE. Relay from

2:12:35 Olsen is late.

2:12:37 And an extra base hit. Third knock of

2:12:41 the afternoon for Leed. Official scoring

2:12:43 on that one. Gosh.

2:12:46 >> I mean, I I don't see any reason why

2:12:48 that's just not a clean triple there,

2:12:50 personally.

2:12:51 >> See if Okay. Yep. We're not going to get

2:12:53 a replay of what happened out in right

2:12:54 center.

2:12:55 >> I'm telling you,

2:12:56 >> triples are fun.

2:12:57 >> Kansas City is made for shortstops named

2:13:00 Bobby. We're wear number seven.

2:13:02 >> I'm telling you, three for three.

2:13:06 >> Sign him up for the Royals.

2:13:08 >> Whit Jr. the other Bobby who's a decent

2:13:11 shortstop here in KC. LEEDAY IS TRYING

2:13:14 TO GET BACK TO THIRD AND HE DOES. THAT

2:13:16 WAS A great throw from Olsson. Quick tag

2:13:18 from KJ who wants a challenge. We've yet

2:13:21 to see one from either team or the fans

2:13:23 this afternoon. And Tyler Gillum was

2:13:25 quick

2:13:27 to go with it at the request of his

2:13:29 third baseman.

2:13:31 Now, for my reputation, I kind of need

2:13:34 him to be safe here, guys. I'm singing

2:13:37 his praises. Gets caught in between

2:13:39 third and home. We We got to We got to

2:13:41 get a couple looks at this. This was

2:13:43 really, really close at third base. You

2:13:45 see Ryan Howard, Clown's prime time

2:13:47 coach coaching third.

2:13:51 And Leeday, he's got such quick bursts

2:13:55 of speed. I mean, able to change

2:13:57 direction and retreat back to third. I

2:14:00 think he's safe.

2:14:01 >> Just gets in there, right?

2:14:03 >> Oh, yeah.

2:14:04 >> Yeah. Looks clean to me.

2:14:06 >> That was impressive. I'll tell you what,

2:14:08 looked like it was going to be a base

2:14:09 running blunder, but it actually gets

2:14:11 the Clowns an extra base runner. Lionel,

2:14:13 of course, would have been a dead duck

2:14:14 at first.

2:14:15 >> And it's a perfect throw over there, you

2:14:17 got to say.

2:14:18 >> Leed gets back just in time. That's one

2:14:20 of the fastest guys of the team and

2:14:21 obviously a great base runner. You

2:14:23 mentioned 11 for 11 and stolen bases

2:14:25 this year. But that throw is right on

2:14:26 the money. It's just a fraction late.

2:14:31 >> And I think it was the right play from

2:14:32 Jackson Olsen, too. I mean, that's the

2:14:33 inning winning run on third. Yeah,

2:14:35 you're just trying to make sure you can

2:14:36 get that lead out. You're trying not to

2:14:39 have a walk-off situation

2:14:42 on your hands, but the call on the field

2:14:44 is confirmed. It will stand. And so the

2:14:47 Clowns with guys on the corners and no

2:14:51 down Dale Francis Jr., the player of the

2:14:54 week last weekend in Tacoma, Washington,

2:14:57 now bats against Kelsey Whitmore.

2:15:00 In case you were not with us last night,

2:15:02 that was seven for 12. Three home runs,

2:15:04 two doubles, nine runs driven in.

2:15:10 Not too bad.

2:15:12 Sticky situation here. 10 count. Left

2:15:15 side of the infield halfway for the

2:15:17 Bananas. Jam shot.

2:15:20 Led can really fly, but Meadows has a

2:15:22 cannon and that is going to prevent

2:15:24 Bobby from going all the way home. Great

2:15:26 base running by Lidle as he advances to

2:15:28 second and takes the Clowns out of a

2:15:30 double play opportunity.

2:15:32 >> Man, talk about a heads up play there by

2:15:34 Joe Lidle. Wow. If you throw down to

2:15:36 second, you risk leay taking off again.

2:15:39 And that is perfect. Heads up banana

2:15:41 ball right there. Couple in scoring

2:15:44 position now.

2:15:46 >> I mean, Lidle,

2:15:48 son of a NIA Hall of Fame baseball coach

2:15:52 in Keith Lidle. That's that's a guy who

2:15:53 knows ball.

2:15:58 And a 10-0 count on Carell Prime. Single

2:16:01 his last trip.

2:16:02 >> Smokes this out to center. And a tip

2:16:06 drill from Meadows as he deemed it

2:16:07 impossible to get the speedy leay at the

2:16:09 dish. He was right. Business decision

2:16:12 from the doctor as the Clowns close the

2:16:15 gap and are just down one. But the

2:16:17 Bananas do add another trick play as

2:16:19 they have one inning left in their

2:16:21 pursuit of the equalizer point.

2:16:22 >> Yeah, it's just good banana ball

2:16:24 strategy. You'll surrender the point for

2:16:26 now, but hope you can make it up by

2:16:27 earning that equalizer point. The

2:16:30 Bananas now up two trick plays on the

2:16:32 Indianapolis Clowns, although this game

2:16:34 is just a little bit tighter.

2:16:44 Wilson Robinson and Gilmore

2:16:50 >> with the perfect choreography on the

2:16:52 trampolines nailing the switch. Oh yeah.

2:16:57 >> Are you not entertained?

2:16:59 >> The Clouds have won the inning.

2:17:04 >> It's a 3-2 Bananas lead. Two innings to

2:17:08 play here from Kansas City, Missouri.

2:17:30 Heat. Heat.

2:17:52 Heat. [cheering]

2:17:59 [cheering]

2:18:07 [cheering]

2:18:10 Heat.

2:18:22 Hallelujah.

2:18:28 [cheering]

2:18:44 >> Oh my gosh. which I just found out.

2:18:45 We've got 40 seconds until we come back

2:18:47 from commercial. It's just us, YouTube.

2:18:50 >> It's just us.

2:18:53 >> You know what people don't know on the

2:18:56 CW that they're about to know on YouTube

2:18:58 is that little trampoline dance we just

2:19:00 had there.

2:19:00 >> Boico, Josh, and myself have done that

2:19:02 three times already this weekend.

2:19:04 >> That's right. We've been showing all the

2:19:05 guys how to execute it properly.

2:19:07 >> In fact, that's how we got our our

2:19:09 barbecue for free.

2:19:12 Banana Ball on the CW is brought to you

2:19:14 by PNC Bank. Brilliantly boring since

2:19:17 1865.

2:19:22 To the top of the eighth inning we go

2:19:24 here in Kaufman Stadium. Two, three, and

2:19:27 four due to swing it for the bananas.

2:19:28 Robert Anthony Cruz, Kyle Jackson, Dan

2:19:31 Over the Big Boppers, [music]

2:19:32 and they face a shirtless Nick Wilson on

2:19:35 the bump. Carolton, Texas native

2:19:40 Clown's second selection in the third

2:19:42 round, 24th overall. Pretty much

2:19:45 primarily just fast ball slider. Got a

2:19:48 change up in his back pocket as well,

2:19:49 but he has been the best pitcher on this

2:19:51 squad. This is a perfect time to break

2:19:53 him out for the first time in this

2:19:54 series. He's a budding banana [music]

2:19:56 ball star, averaging three outs in 3

2:19:58 minutes and 27 seconds. Second best in

2:20:01 banana ball. And you see the numbers

2:20:02 here in May. Wilson 12 strikeouts only

2:20:06 one ball four sprint issued and is 2.45

2:20:10 RA this season fourth in the Banana Ball

2:20:12 Championship League. Joe Gray Jr.

2:20:15 backpedaling tip drill HOLE SIZE ERASING

2:20:17 OVER PHIL AND HOLDS ON IN THE HAT. YOU

2:20:20 CAN'T MAKE IT UP. WHAT A DOUBLE TRICK

2:20:23 PLAY. WE'RE EVEN AT 11 EACH. HE WAS

2:20:26 STREAKING TO GET TO RIGHT CENTER FIELD

2:20:29 TO BE ABLE TO TRY AND TEAM UP FOR A

2:20:31 DOUBLE TRICK PLAY AND DENY THAT

2:20:33 EQUALIZER POINT. YOU HAVE GOT TO

2:20:36 APPRECIATE THE EFFORT FROM HOLISER

2:20:39 GETTING HIS FIRST ACTION IN THE OUTFIELD

2:20:41 IN THIS SERIES AND COMING UP WITH THE

2:20:44 CLUTCH PLAY TO START THE EIGHTH.

2:20:49 >> 13 years of minor league baseball

2:20:50 experience on that double trick play. By

2:20:52 the way, folks,

2:20:54 >> where's Steve Spagnola? We have seen

2:20:55 some incredible defense today in Kansas

2:20:58 City.

2:20:59 >> Another chance for Gray. He'll catch

2:21:01 this the oldfashioned way.

2:21:04 >> I mean, come on, Josh. That whole sizer

2:21:07 play, that is a dead sprint and then

2:21:10 your legs taken out from underneath you.

2:21:13 >> The hat's floppy. I mean, that's

2:21:14 incredible.

2:21:15 >> And fortunately, Joe Gray saw him in his

2:21:18 peripheral vision. would have to guess

2:21:21 because he gave a very large tip in the

2:21:24 direction of poleizer trying to set him

2:21:26 up. That was such a smart play by a pair

2:21:30 of banana ball rookies who you see are

2:21:32 adjusting to this game incredibly well.

2:21:37 >> Yeah, Gray now into double digits in

2:21:39 trick plays. Wholesizer seven for eight

2:21:42 on his young career.

2:21:47 And speaking of good rookies, we've

2:21:48 talked about Nick Wilson, obviously at

2:21:50 the top of a lot of pitching categories

2:21:52 for this Clowns team. He shut the door

2:21:54 in the last two innings last Sunday for

2:21:56 a series win, trying to do the same.

2:21:57 Yeah, he authors a perfect top of the

2:22:00 eighth inning with three trick plays as

2:22:02 Prime grabs that one between the legs

2:22:05 and make sure that the Bananas need two

2:22:06 trick plays in the bottom half to earn

2:22:09 that allimp important equalizer point.

2:22:14 Raise

2:22:24 those hands. Please join us in singing

2:22:28 as loud as you can. What a wonderful

2:22:32 world.

2:22:42 >> We go. Amen.

2:22:57 Bye.

2:23:09 Apostles

2:23:19 Say how

2:23:24 they say.

2:23:44 [music]

2:23:47 Well, after we saw a franchise record,

2:23:49 14 trick play performance from the

2:23:51 Clowns last night. They've been terrific

2:23:53 again here in the finale of this two

2:23:55 game set. A dozen [music] trick plays

2:23:57 for the home team Clowns, 11 for the

2:24:00 Savannah Bananas, who need two to earn

2:24:03 the equalizer point here in the eighth

2:24:06 inning. And I mean, the level of

2:24:08 difficulty has been absurd. The back

2:24:10 flip catch from Brian Danro. He's the

2:24:11 10th player in Banana Ball history to

2:24:13 join that elusive club.

2:24:15 Great. A hole sizer

2:24:18 or second to last trick play. A pair of

2:24:20 them on that one. As fun as they get as

2:24:23 you take a look at the totals going into

2:24:26 the bottom of the eighth. Yeah. And the

2:24:27 Clowns really pushed the pedal to the

2:24:29 metal in the last two innings

2:24:30 defensively. Five trick plays for

2:24:32 Indianapolis to get them back out in

2:24:35 front. But now the bananas turn to a

2:24:37 right-hander and Connor Harris who among

2:24:39 all the qualified pitchers on this team

2:24:42 has the highest trick play rate. 53.2%

2:24:46 of his outs this season have included a

2:24:48 trick play. So this is a really great

2:24:51 move from Tyler Gillum and coach Adam

2:24:54 Byron right here trying to see if it

2:24:56 will net them an equalizer point and a

2:24:58 little added breathing room. Another one

2:25:02 of the many banana ball players out of

2:25:04 the Constitution State. Proud of Avon,

2:25:07 Connecticut takes over

2:25:09 and stares down Eli Payton,

2:25:13 one of the many Californians we have

2:25:15 here in our young sport. Kid out of

2:25:17 Laatta.

2:25:18 >> And we are in AFC West Country. We had

2:25:21 Patrick Mahomes in the house. Eli Payton

2:25:24 and his uncle try to do the same thing.

2:25:25 It's tough to do. Win in Kansas City.

2:25:30 His uncle would be the general manager

2:25:32 of the Denver Denver Broncos.

2:25:42 >> And what a groove. Harris, Olsen, Cox,

2:25:45 and Meadows

2:25:47 in step. And then it's a gnarly kick

2:25:49 change out of the dance. That is a

2:25:51 pretty impressive pitch

2:25:55 to deliver after that much boogieing.

2:26:00 as Payton gets it again, fouls it

2:26:02 straight back. Part of a three- pitch

2:26:04 mix. Fast ball now 90 to 93 from the 68

2:26:08 righty and then a 126 knuckle curve is

2:26:10 high7s. That kick change up is low 80s.

2:26:14 Pretty unique arsenal.

2:26:17 There's the gas.

2:26:21 It's Payton Wholesizer and Burgess.

2:26:26 Dozen home runs between the trio.

2:26:30 Bender misses high and Eli's worked the

2:26:32 [music] count full.

2:26:35 Payton a single all the way back in the

2:26:37 second inning. Then was pinch hit for by

2:26:39 Fischer Polydoroff in the fifth.

2:26:42 He will take the ball for Sprint. Inning

2:26:45 winning run is aboard. Great sprint

2:26:47 defense by the Bananas. They get it to

2:26:49 all seven fielders behind the pitcher

2:26:50 and catcher in short order. And Payton

2:26:53 will give way to Flash the Kid. Malachi

2:26:56 Mitchell.

2:26:57 No, he's getting called back.

2:27:06 >> Over 38,000 fans

2:27:09 >> all waiting with baited breath. And all

2:27:12 right, let's let's listen into Mike

2:27:13 Falvo here. I think we got a I mean,

2:27:15 it's Vinnie Santosier. That's a pretty

2:27:17 bizarre pinch runner.

2:27:22 Now entering the game as a substitute

2:27:24 pinch runner for the pinch runner.

2:27:26 >> It's Brett Maddock.

2:27:37 >> Hold on. Hang on a minute.

2:27:39 >> Now entering the game as a substitute

2:27:41 pinch runner for the pinch runner.

2:27:44 >> It's Brett Irvine.

2:27:48 >> Drew Irvine. I think that's a fine

2:27:51 selection. Maybe they've finally found a

2:27:52 winner here.

2:27:55 >> Hold on.

2:27:56 >> Now entering the game as a secondary

2:27:59 substitute backup pinch runner for the

2:28:01 original substitute pinch runner.

2:28:04 >> It's Clark Gilmore.

2:28:06 [cheering]

2:28:07 >> There it is. That's got to be the

2:28:09 choice.

2:28:12 >> I mean, that guy's an athlete.

2:28:14 >> Fourth times the charm or something like

2:28:16 that.

2:28:17 >> One last update.

2:28:18 >> What? No,

2:28:19 >> it looks like the original batter

2:28:21 doesn't need a pinch runner after all.

2:28:23 He'll be taking his place back on first

2:28:25 base.

2:28:29 >> Now, after all that, Glad to see Eli's

2:28:32 okay.

2:28:33 You kidding me?

2:28:35 >> Oh, were those substitutions legal?

2:28:37 Josh,

2:28:41 >> why do you burden me like this?

2:28:44 [laughter]

2:28:44 >> A couple of them were, a couple of them

2:28:46 were not. We'll leave it at that.

2:28:47 Nicolesizer.

2:28:51 >> He's ahead, two balls, and no strikes.

2:28:58 >> I was ready. I was going to steal that.

2:29:02 >> And bounces that one foul.

2:29:07 So much hangs in the balance

2:29:11 in this bottom of the eighth inning.

2:29:13 Clowns down by one. They've got the

2:29:14 inning winning run aboard. Wow, big old

2:29:18 hack from Wholesizer.

2:29:21 >> And the bananas are two trick plays away

2:29:22 from gaining the equalizer point.

2:29:31 Two two a flail and a No, he got a piece

2:29:33 of it.

2:29:35 That was a heck of a fight from

2:29:37 Holesizer,

2:29:40 >> known for the daddy hacks. Look, he

2:29:42 offered up on the previous pitch.

2:29:47 but shortened it up. Able to stay alive.

2:29:51 >> Payton only one stolen base on the year.

2:29:53 He's been caught once. Not a huge threat

2:29:55 to run, but he's been dancing off first

2:29:57 base here.

2:30:02 Fouled straight back over our heads

2:30:06 and it'll make it all the way back to

2:30:08 the first level. Nice snag. That's on a

2:30:09 ricochet. So, no out. Holeizer still at

2:30:12 the dish. Another

2:30:16 two- two.

2:30:18 >> Another chance for the fans.

2:30:22 >> No catch.

2:30:25 Need some communication down there.

2:30:27 Closest guy was a guy just walking back

2:30:29 to his seat. Just like the clowns

2:30:31 earlier. Need some communication in the

2:30:32 field.

2:30:35 Payton does take off. Fast balls is

2:30:37 high. Laroy goes behind the back and the

2:30:39 throw way late.

2:30:43 Bill's the only catcher in the history

2:30:44 of the sport who has pulled that trick

2:30:46 play off. He's done it three times,

2:30:49 >> but he he hesitated for some reason.

2:30:51 Well, now a strike is imperative here. A

2:30:53 ball from Connor Harris ends the inning.

2:30:55 Ties up this ball game going into the

2:30:57 final frame. This one shot to KJ between

2:31:01 the legs transfer. ZIGGY WITH THE

2:31:04 STRETCH to dig that one. And the bananas

2:31:07 not the trick play total at 12 apiece.

2:31:11 And Eli Payton unable to advance to

2:31:13 third base. A big play there for the

2:31:15 Bananas.

2:31:18 >> And it looks like Connor Harris is only

2:31:20 going to face two batters. Danny Hosley

2:31:23 will be used for a second straight ball

2:31:25 game here in Kaufman Stadium.

2:31:28 Greatest closer in the history of the

2:31:30 sport and he is at the peak of the

2:31:32 Powers here in his fourth World Tour.

2:31:36 league leading five wins

2:31:39 and that 0.53 earned run average the

2:31:42 lowest amongst qualified pitchers. And

2:31:44 we saw him last night more brilliance.

2:31:46 Two strikeouts against the Indianapolis

2:31:49 Clowns. A clean frame and ever since

2:31:51 allowing that walk up hit to Jason Swan

2:31:54 in Atlanta. Hosley's bounced back with

2:31:56 six straight scoreless innings for the

2:31:58 Bananas. Fast ball gets the top of the

2:32:00 zone against Chris Burgess.

2:32:02 Couple of ground outs so far today. One

2:32:04 to short, one to second. And there's the

2:32:06 126 curveball. Hley quickly ahead 02. I

2:32:09 >> mean, how about this for drama, fellas?

2:32:12 Only game on the slate today. Eyes of

2:32:14 the BBCL right here in Kansas City.

2:32:17 Showman from last night against the most

2:32:19 dominant pitcher in the sport.

2:32:26 Where else would you rather be? Looked

2:32:29 like he finally went to the Vulcan

2:32:30 change on the fourth pitch.

2:32:34 That is Hosley's most deadly weapon in

2:32:37 the arsenal as Burgess cranks this foul.

2:32:42 And I mean Chris Burgess, guy came in

2:32:43 hitting .313, a 451 on base percentage,

2:32:46 having a fantastic rookie year.

2:32:51 Primary catcher for the Clowns, able to

2:32:54 hold off on the high heat.

2:32:56 Check down to first. Trey Hudson agrees

2:33:00 that Burus checked his swing. Big two-

2:33:02 two pitch coming.

2:33:04 Chance for the fans

2:33:07 to get out number two

2:33:09 and they make it happen. IT'S ONLY THE

2:33:12 FIFTH CLOWN TO FOUL OUT TO THE FANS THIS

2:33:15 YEAR, LEAST in the Banana Ball

2:33:16 Championship League.

2:33:18 >> But the folks in Kaufman Stadium come up

2:33:20 clutch for the Nanners.

2:33:22 >> And that's not a routine play by any

2:33:24 means. That one

2:33:26 >> hit very well off the bat of Chris

2:33:28 Burgess. And now a golden batter coming

2:33:30 for the clowns.

2:33:33 That means stepping up to the plate for

2:33:35 Kirkland Banks is former MVP AND WORLD

2:33:40 SERIES CHAMPION FOR THE PHILADELPHIA

2:33:44 PHILLIES. GIVE IT up for Ryan

2:33:47 [screaming] Howard.

2:33:49 Ryan Howard, prime time manager.

2:33:54 58 homers in ' 06.

2:33:58 How great is this?

2:34:02 You got a guy with 382 career MLB home

2:34:06 runs

2:34:08 >> and two homers in three career games

2:34:12 at Kaufman Stadium.

2:34:15 Good Wood, BUT ALEXI ON THE RUN WILL

2:34:19 CATCH IT. OH, HE TRAPS IT OUTSIDE OF THE

2:34:21 GLOVE AND THE BANANAS EARN THE equalizer

2:34:23 point.

2:34:26 THE BANKERS DOZEN TRICK PLAYS ON the

2:34:28 day. does it by just one and the Nanners

2:34:30 lead 4-2 going to OUR FINAL INNING. THAT

2:34:33 BALL PIECED BY RYAN HOWARD, BUT HOW

2:34:36 ABOUT ALEXI

2:34:38 DOING A LITTLE NOD TO JAKE SKULL AND

2:34:40 TRAPPING THE BANANA BALL OUTSIDE HIS

2:34:43 CLUB. BANANAS NOT ONLY ESCAPED TROUBLE

2:34:46 BUT EARNED THE EQUALIZER POINT TODAY in

2:34:49 KC.

2:34:56 Remarkable banana ball at the conclusion

2:34:59 of this twoame set here in the K. As you

2:35:02 take a look at what it means to enter

2:35:03 our final inning. Every run scored

2:35:05 counts as a point. If we're tied at the

2:35:07 end of it, we will go to showdowns.

2:35:11 >> Can you think of a bigger swing than

2:35:13 that? Not the physical swing, Mo, but

2:35:16 bringing a legit MVP

2:35:19 out to hit. And he gives it a ride. And

2:35:22 not only that, you get the trick play

2:35:24 and the equalizer point. My goodness,

2:35:27 this weekend's been bonkers.

2:35:30 >> You think about that bottom of the

2:35:31 eighth inning, saw two trick plays from

2:35:33 the Bananas. Exactly what they needed.

2:35:35 As you get a look at Nick Wilson's

2:35:37 numbers here in his rookie campaign and

2:35:40 the foul out to the fans, such a massive

2:35:43 piece of the puzzle with the inning

2:35:45 tying run in scoring position.

2:35:47 >> That's how you get last night's showman

2:35:49 and a former MVP to end it. I mean,

2:35:51 that's the beauty of Banana Ball right

2:35:53 there.

2:35:53 >> Some trick plays, AN EQUALIZER POINT, A

2:35:55 FOUL OUT TO THE FANS. And now you see

2:35:58 Banana Ball and its rules on even

2:36:00 greater display here in the ninth. Every

2:36:02 run counting for a point. The Bananas

2:36:04 will try and pick up a little extra

2:36:06 insurance against Nick Wilson, who has

2:36:09 been 19.3

2:36:11 runs better than a replacement level

2:36:13 pitcher this season. And that is a top

2:36:16 10 mark on tour this year. And that is

2:36:18 actually the second best mark among all

2:36:21 relief pitchers in the sport. Trailing

2:36:23 only Danny Hosley, the man he's opposing

2:36:26 right now.

2:36:30 >> Spidey getting the crowd fired up as we

2:36:33 head to our final inning.

2:36:36 A two inning relief appearance is light

2:36:38 work for Wilson. He went three and a

2:36:39 third

2:36:41 to close out the finale of

2:36:44 that three-game set in Tacoma,

2:36:46 Washington against the Party Animals

2:36:47 last weekend.

2:36:50 Finished it with the strike out of Reese

2:36:51 Hampton, one of the best hitters in the

2:36:53 history of the sport.

2:36:55 >> And here he's got Bill Loy Reese Alexi

2:36:58 and Max Young Goldberg.

2:37:01 >> I second that, Cam.

2:37:02 >> This is just This is awesome. This is

2:37:04 great.

2:37:08 BILL LOY DEEP OUT TO LEFT. DANCERO TO

2:37:11 THE TRACK. LOOK OUT. PEANUTS LEAPING

2:37:14 CATCH. NO, HE LOST IT UP AGAINST THE

2:37:17 WALL. NEARLY ran into his teammate, the

2:37:20 elephant. And Loy has a double to open

2:37:23 up the ninth.

2:37:25 What a great piece of hitting by Bill

2:37:27 Loy. An ambush there to start the ninth

2:37:30 against Nick Wilson. And Laroy now 4

2:37:33 for6 batting in the ninth inning this

2:37:36 season. He has been so good in the big

2:37:39 moments for the Bananas all season long.

2:37:42 Towering foul ball to the moon and back.

2:37:45 And Burgess has it.

2:37:49 >> Not a lot of room to play with up

2:37:50 against the netting. That's a massive

2:37:52 first down.

2:37:53 >> And by the way guys, if that got over

2:37:55 the net, did you see who the fan is down

2:37:57 there? The fan. Clark Gilmore. I mean

2:38:02 that would have been terrible luck. That

2:38:03 wouldn't have counted. Correct.

2:38:12 No balls, one strike on Max Young

2:38:14 Goldberg. Great stop. Chris Burgess

2:38:17 keeps Sakalov on second. Banana's

2:38:18 designated runner has his name called

2:38:20 again.

2:38:23 >> It's really impressive that Dancro came

2:38:24 that close. I mean, what an incredible

2:38:26 play. Banged up against the fence and

2:38:28 the traffic out there with peanuts. Good

2:38:30 wood here from Young Goldberg.

2:38:31 Wholesizer has a beat on it. Sakov will

2:38:34 tag and go to third. Clown's got to be

2:38:36 careful here. Sakov

2:38:38 clearly had some thoughts about trying

2:38:41 to make it a twobase sacrifice fly. He

2:38:43 slams the brakes coming around third.

2:38:45 Heeding the advice of Bryce Stober,

2:38:57 >> Kansas City

2:39:00 The Bananas are invoking their golden

2:39:03 batter rule. Hitting in the place of

2:39:06 Ryan Cox is Savannah Bananas GOLDEN

2:39:09 BATTER, KYLE KJ.

2:39:17 How about Cody Fluffman on the mic

2:39:20 announcing that Kyle Jackson will be the

2:39:22 golden batter for the Bananas for the

2:39:24 second time this weekend.

2:39:27 He had a chance as the tying run with

2:39:28 two outs in the ninth last night after

2:39:30 he opened up the frame with a ball for

2:39:33 sprint and he flew out to Joe Gray Jr.

2:39:36 in center to secure the 3-1 win for

2:39:38 Indianapolis.

2:39:40 Takes the slider low here. It's been a

2:39:42 fly out and a strike out for Kyle

2:39:43 Jackson this season when he's appeared

2:39:46 as the golden batter trying to come

2:39:47 through with the knock. But they'll take

2:39:49 a ball for sprint as well from KJack

2:39:52 ahead in the count two and0 already.

2:39:56 Fast ball just misses the outside

2:39:58 corner.

2:40:03 >> One ball away from another point for the

2:40:05 Bananas. And the fast ball right at the

2:40:08 knees.

2:40:14 3-1.

2:40:16 Top of the zone. Count is full.

2:40:23 SWING AND A MISS. NICK WILSON FROM

2:40:26 BEHIND. THREE 0. THREE STRAIGHT HEATERS.

2:40:29 BLOWS IT BY KJ and keeps the deficit at

2:40:32 just two for Indianapolis.

2:40:35 >> How about the Stones on NICK WILSON

2:40:39 KEEPING his team in it RIGHT THERE. HE

2:40:41 WAS ONE PITCH AWAY from letting A POINT

2:40:44 GO ACROSS. GOOD MORNING, GOOD AFTERNOON,

2:40:48 GOOD EARLY evening from here in Kansas

2:40:50 City.

2:40:56 And reminder folks,

2:40:59 >> the rules here in our final inning,

2:41:02 every run scored counts as a point.

2:41:06 If it's tied at the end of nine innings

2:41:09 or whatever final frame the two-hour

2:41:10 time limit decides it will be, you go to

2:41:14 showdowns. Saw a thriller last night in

2:41:17 Corpus Christi, Texas. It's the finale

2:41:20 of a wild three-game set between the

2:41:22 firefighters and tailgators. Went two

2:41:25 rounds of showdowns with the

2:41:26 firefighters coming out on top.

2:41:30 It's the only game out of the seven

2:41:32 we've had on the docket this weekend

2:41:34 that has gone to showdowns.

2:41:39 Over 38,000 fans

2:41:42 here in Paris of the Plains, Kansas

2:41:44 City, Missouri,

2:41:46 hoping that they'll get bonus banana

2:41:48 ball, but Danny Hosley stands in the way

2:41:51 of that. Still perfect in his save

2:41:54 chances this season. Seven for seven for

2:41:57 the Savannah Bananas.

2:41:59 And threw eight pitches to retire Chris

2:42:01 Burgess. And then the golden batter,

2:42:02 Ryan Howard.

2:42:04 The Clowns though, do not let it be

2:42:07 forgotten, had some big final inning

2:42:09 performances last weekend in Tacoma,

2:42:12 Washington. 11 runs that all became

2:42:16 points in the final inning of play in

2:42:19 Tacoma. And they are hoping that they

2:42:21 can have another big rally here as they

2:42:24 get started with the top of their order.

2:42:26 It'll be Joe Gray Jr., Jackie Bradley

2:42:28 Jr., and Bobby Leay.

2:42:31 Couldn't have asked for much better from

2:42:33 a clown standpoint. And that's exactly

2:42:35 why you saw them use that golden batter

2:42:37 in the eighth inning.

2:42:38 >> Off the end of the bat, first pitch here

2:42:40 in the last of the ninth. Ryan Cox tip

2:42:43 drill. He will secure it himself. One

2:42:48 away.

2:42:53 >> And now JBJ 0 for three on the

2:42:55 afternoon. But a double against Danny

2:42:58 Hosley in the eighth inning last night.

2:43:02 fouls off the change up.

2:43:04 >> And there's hardly been anybody better

2:43:06 on the Clowns. Well, there has been

2:43:07 nobody better than the Clowns than JBJ

2:43:09 in the ninth inning. Five for 10 this

2:43:12 season and taking some big cuts against

2:43:14 Danny Hosley like the one you just saw,

2:43:17 but coming up empty,

2:43:19 the O2

2:43:21 flicks it out to left. What a piece of

2:43:23 hitting from JBJ.

2:43:26 That'll bring the tying run up to the

2:43:28 dish. Heck of an adjustment against that

2:43:30 Vulcan change.

2:43:32 [screaming]

2:43:33 >> Yeah, you hear all the time about

2:43:34 waiting for your pitch. Ninth inning,

2:43:36 two strikes. You don't have that luxury.

2:43:39 Jackie Bradley did not get his pitch,

2:43:41 but he brings the tying run to the

2:43:43 plate.

2:43:44 >> But professional hitters, they know how

2:43:45 to shorten up their swing and use the

2:43:47 entire field. NOW SCOOTS THIS ONE UP THE

2:43:50 MIDDLE. HOW ABOUT RYAN COX SHOWING OFF

2:43:53 THE RANGE WITH A GLOVE BLIP TO JACKSON

2:43:57 OLSEN. WHAT A SECOND OUT FOR THE

2:43:59 SAVANNAH BANANAS. AND IT TAKES THE

2:44:02 FASTEST MAN IN THE SPORT, MALACHI

2:44:04 MITCHELL, THE DESIGNATED RUNNER, OFF THE

2:44:06 BAGS.

2:44:08 >> Tell you what, Leay can run pretty well

2:44:12 himself. Looks like the umpires are

2:44:14 going to conference.

2:44:16 Eric Fox using his challenge.

2:44:19 See if they get the out at second here.

2:44:22 >> Interesting. What are they looking at?

2:44:25 I think they're seeing if Olsen kept his

2:44:27 foot on the bag.

2:44:29 >> Yeah, from that angle it looks looks

2:44:31 like the correct call. We got to see it

2:44:32 from the other side.

2:44:34 >> Certainly need clear evidence to

2:44:36 overturn the call on the field. Oh yeah,

2:44:37 that's an out.

2:44:40 Can't take your challenge home with you.

2:44:45 So you understand why

2:44:47 Fox pulled the trigger on that. And

2:44:49 there is the decisive angle.

2:44:52 >> No question.

2:44:56 But you said it, worth the use.

2:44:58 >> Have a couple of guys on with one out in

2:45:00 the final inning.

2:45:03 >> The final hope for the Clowns

2:45:07 >> is the legend of Banana Ball, Joe Lidle.

2:45:12 >> One for three today.

2:45:18 >> Represents the tying run. But folks, no

2:45:20 homers on the tour this year for Joe

2:45:23 Lidle

2:45:24 and struck out looking against Hosley

2:45:26 last night.

2:45:30 Change up misses high

2:45:39 swing and a miss on the Vulcan change

2:45:42 and a rise smile from Lidle.

2:45:45 Seen the pitch more than anybody on his

2:45:47 team.

2:45:50 CRANKS THIS ONE DOWN THE RIGHT FIELD

2:45:51 LINE. Foul

2:45:55 >> by a foot or two.

2:45:58 He knew that was coming. Just a little

2:46:01 out ahead.

2:46:05 The clowns down to their final strike.

2:46:10 L only four Ks on the year. Two of them

2:46:12 were last night.

2:46:18 trying to pass the baton or tie this

2:46:20 thing up himself. The one-two

2:46:23 chance for the fans to end it.

2:46:27 No catch. We had some gloves in that

2:46:30 area.

2:46:37 >> That represents the game tying run.

2:46:39 Another one two fouled away.

2:46:43 Great fight on the Vulcan change.

2:46:52 We'll do it again. LINED UP THE MIDDLE.

2:46:55 DR. MEADOWS RIGHT THERE. TIP DRILL. Put

2:46:58 it in the bag. The Bananas earn the

2:47:01 series split. 4-2 winners on Sunday

2:47:04 afternoon here in Kaufman Stadium.

2:47:12 But what a weekend it was.

2:47:15 >> Another look at the final out. The

2:47:17 Nanners secured three trick plays in the

2:47:20 bottom of the ninth inning

2:47:23 and are able to end the Clowns at a

2:47:25 three-game winning streak. A poetic

2:47:27 ending to a win for the Savannah Bananas

2:47:29 that was aided by earning that equalizer

2:47:31 point. The Nanners had elite defense all

2:47:35 afternoon long against the Indianapolis

2:47:37 Clowns. And another strong start from

2:47:40 Austin Drury. Their first round pick was

2:47:43 able to get them the win this afternoon

2:47:45 in Kaufman Stadium.

2:47:49 >> They're not sending us to flash. They're

2:47:51 not sending us to flash.

2:47:53 >> You're just going out and thinking

2:47:57 I don't know.

2:47:58 >> Go give up.

2:48:01 Father,

2:48:12 [music]

2:48:19 >> our show of the day, number 11, Austin.

2:48:28 This is better than

2:48:38 celebrate while we got time.

2:48:42 Lucky to have you in my life.

2:48:47 >> You better

2:48:51 turn around and slide.

2:48:54 >> HERE WE GO. SOMEBODY,

2:48:58 somebody celebrate with me tonight.

2:49:00 >> Celebrate with me tonight.

2:49:04 [screaming]

2:49:05 Celebrate. We got time.

2:49:09 Lucky to have you in mind.

2:49:14 You better. YOU BETTER HIT THE RIGHT.

2:49:17 HIT THE LEFT. NOW TURN AROUND. AND ONE

2:49:19 MORE TIME. HIT THE RIGHT. HIT THE LEFT.

2:49:22 NOW turn around and slide. Give it up

2:49:25 for the Savannah Bananas. [screaming]

2:49:30 [cheering]

2:49:31 AND LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE SHOWMAN OF THE

2:49:33 DAY, NUMBER 11, AUSTIN DRURY.

2:49:36 >> Derek Clenna serenades the full capacity

2:49:38 crowd here in Kaufman Stadium. The

2:49:41 Nanners get to dance in celebration of

2:49:44 earning the series split and Rex

2:49:46 Castillo has the showman of the game.

2:49:49 Austin, they call on you in a big spot

2:49:52 here to get this win, prevent the sweep.

2:49:54 How important is it to get this win for

2:49:56 the guys in yellow?

2:49:57 >> You know, I'm just blessed to be on the

2:49:58 mound for these guys and play be in

2:50:00 front of all these guys here and then

2:50:02 it's just a blessing.

2:50:03 >> Look to focus through distraction like

2:50:05 what's going on right now. How important

2:50:07 was it for you guys? Again, now he looks

2:50:09 even better to get it here. Kansas City

2:50:11 brought the energy. What do you have to

2:50:12 say for the fans here in Kansas City?

2:50:13 >> We love Kansas City. They came here last

2:50:15 year. I wasn't a part of it, but we know

2:50:17 you brought the energy and we it shows

2:50:18 this weekend for sure.

2:50:19 >> You you have some time here. Why don't

2:50:21 we give a couple shout outs [laughter]

2:50:22 to some of your guys here. Who do you

2:50:24 think really stepped up to help big to

2:50:25 get this big win?

2:50:26 >> I just want to shout out Bill. You know,

2:50:27 he's he's a dog behind the plate,

2:50:29 calling the game. You know, I can't do

2:50:30 it without him.

2:50:31 >> All right. Hey guys, we're in Kansas

2:50:32 City. Really important question from

2:50:34 Banana Ball backstage. Nine-year-old

2:50:35 Claire wants to know, "What is your

2:50:37 favorite kind of barbecue?"

2:50:39 >> Uh Kansas City. Kansas City to give it

2:50:41 up. This is the right place to do it.

2:50:43 Hey guys, that is our showman of the

2:50:45 game. Guys, let's send it back to you.

2:50:47 >> Austin Drury is a smart man. You don't

2:50:49 get through eight years of professional

2:50:51 baseball without learning a thing or

2:50:52 two. Shouting out the fantastic Casey

2:50:55 Barbecue here in the self-proclaimed

2:50:57 barbecue capital of the world. I'm a fan

2:50:59 of it as well. Drury was fantastic. His

2:51:02 first strikeout of the afternoon was the

2:51:05 World Series champion Jackie Bradley Jr.

2:51:07 And when all was said and done, guy

2:51:10 threw through five innings and was

2:51:11 superb.

2:51:12 >> Yeah. Five and a third credited innings

2:51:13 today for the Savannah Bananas. And AD

2:51:16 not only induced the trick plays, but he

2:51:18 worked incredibly quick. A 1 minute and

2:51:20 15second inning today, the fastest of

2:51:22 his career, the fastest of the season

2:51:24 for the Bananas. And each of his last

2:51:27 four frames on the mound were thrown in

2:51:29 less than three and a half minutes. He

2:51:32 really pushed the pace today.

2:51:37 >> Banners first rounder doing first

2:51:39 rounder things. able to put a stop to

2:51:41 the red hot Indianapolis Clowns. Much

2:51:43 more to chop up on the postgame show

2:51:45 after this.

2:51:55 Here's

2:52:04 today's

2:52:07 to benefit Bananas Foster and the Kansas

2:52:09 City Royals Foundation. Congratulations

2:52:12 if you're today's lucky winner.

2:52:16 >> YouTube, it's just us here on the

2:52:18 postgame show.

2:52:20 CW gets us back in about a minute or so.

2:52:23 What a series.

2:52:25 Holy moly.

2:52:27 >> Can I Can I tell you guys something just

2:52:29 between us and YouTube and

2:52:32 >> you, me and Grock?

2:52:33 >> Grock, [laughter]

2:52:36 >> I had a blast with the two games we had

2:52:38 this weekend. This was banana ball to a

2:52:40 tea, fellas. I mean, what more could you

2:52:42 have asked for today?

2:52:45 >> Special stuff, Cam.

2:52:46 >> That was a real question. What? Like,

2:52:47 what more could you

2:52:49 >> I couldn't agree more. I mean, like, I

2:52:50 don't know.

2:52:50 >> Too much.

2:52:51 >> 10 rounds of showdowns.

2:52:52 >> Thank you, Josh. Maybe a couple more big

2:52:55 flies if we're really going to get

2:52:56 greedy.

2:52:57 >> Yeah, kept it in the ballpark today. How

2:52:58 about that?

2:53:01 >> Used up the four last night.

2:53:05 >> Good question.

2:53:08 >> Ice cream bars. Anyone?

2:53:10 >> Yeah, ice cream bars.

2:53:11 >> I need them.

2:53:13 >> We got to find that ice cream guy in the

2:53:14 hotel Chadwick's been talking about.

2:53:16 >> Not if they're $6. [laughter]

2:53:25 Okay, YouTube, we're about to bring back

2:53:27 the CW. We'll be talking to the rest of

2:53:29 our audience in a couple seconds.

2:53:51 Welcome back to the outside of Kaufman

2:53:53 Stadium. Banana Ball live on the CW.

2:53:57 Another fantastic battle. This was the

2:53:59 finale of a [music] twoame set between

2:54:01 the headlining Indianapolis Clowns

2:54:04 getting to host their first ever [music]

2:54:05 headlining series in a big league park.

2:54:07 Nowhere better than KC, the home of the

2:54:11 Negro Leagues.

2:54:13 And take a look at the weekend on a

2:54:15 whole. This was the only game we had on

2:54:17 the docket today. And wild from start to

2:54:20 finish from the Nick Lopez walk-off

2:54:22 homer to win Thursday night in Corpus

2:54:23 Christi to Danny Hosley nailing down

2:54:25 [music] the five out save this

2:54:27 afternoon.

2:54:27 >> Well, you also can't forget about Ashb

2:54:29 Bindings walk-off on Friday night to

2:54:31 lift the coconuts over the party animals

2:54:33 at the wide world of [music] sports in

2:54:34 Orlando. And then the firefighters,

2:54:37 really great showing from them in

2:54:39 showdowns. [music]

2:54:40 Yeah, a huge comeback at that one too

2:54:42 for the firefighters. That was a

2:54:44 nailbiter. Probably the banana ball game

2:54:46 of the weekend out there in Corpus at

2:54:49 Waterburger Field to to salvage a game

2:54:51 in that series and take one [music] from

2:54:53 the tailgator who are obviously battling

2:54:55 with the bananas at the top of the

2:54:56 standings and welld deserved for the

2:54:58 firefighters faithful who had to suffer

2:55:00 through two gut-wrenching losses to open

2:55:03 up that series. Of course, the

2:55:05 firefighters had lost five straight. So

2:55:07 that puts an end to that losing streak

2:55:09 as they try and get back [music] in the

2:55:10 playoff picture. And the Tailgator, they

2:55:13 continue to be at the top of our

2:55:14 broadcaster power rankings because they

2:55:16 are the only team that is locked in to

2:55:18 the playoffs come October. That's from

2:55:20 winning the Banana Ball Open back in

2:55:22 midappril when they took down the

2:55:23 Nanners. Uh swept the twoame set in that

2:55:25 Banana Ball Open final. But the Bananas

2:55:27 with that win today, they're a game and

2:55:29 a half up on the tailgator when it comes

2:55:32 to that number one overall seat. I mean,

2:55:34 it's back and forth these teams go.

2:55:35 >> And they're also going to be in a good

2:55:37 position next week. And they will

2:55:38 continue to play against the

2:55:39 Indianapolis Clowns. They're [music]

2:55:41 familiarizing themselves more and more

2:55:43 with one of Banana Ball's expansion

2:55:44 teams. And they get to play at home in

2:55:47 Grayson Stadium in Savannah. And we have

2:55:49 seen the Bananas [music]

2:55:50 utterly dominant this year when they

2:55:52 have gotten to play as that home team.

2:55:53 So, it should pay pretty big dividends.

2:55:56 Yeah, the Clowns falling to 10 and 16.

2:55:59 And they're now 6 and 1/2 games back,

2:56:01 but they're only two games behind the

2:56:03 Party Animals, which is currently their

2:56:05 team to to chase. Party Animals fourth

2:56:08 in the tour. And you want to talk about

2:56:11 the best trick play team in the sport,

2:56:13 that would be [music] the Texas

2:56:14 Tailgator taking two out of three at

2:56:15 Corpus Christie. But what a trick play

2:56:17 display we had here across this two game

2:56:20 set in Kansas City. Yesterday it was the

2:56:23 Clowns. A brand new record, 14 [music]

2:56:25 trick plays for their franchise. And

2:56:27 today, a dozen. Do you think that might

2:56:29 be enough to hold off the Nanners? No,

2:56:30 they had 13 through eight innings and

2:56:32 then [music] added a trick play on all

2:56:33 three of their outs in the ninth.

2:56:35 >> Yeah, that was the impressive part was

2:56:36 they didn't slow down in the final

2:56:38 inning as they were trying [music] to

2:56:39 hold off the Indianapolis Clowns and win

2:56:41 that ball game. The Bananas still

2:56:43 showing how good they are in that trick

2:56:45 [music] play department. and what Tyler

2:56:47 Gillum has talked about, especially when

2:56:49 the Bananas have played as the away team

2:56:51 this year. Of course, pitching's been a

2:56:53 little bit of a struggle, but he said,

2:56:54 "We've been playing some rather shoddy

2:56:56 defense at the same time." Well, today,

2:56:58 not only did you see 16 trick plays from

2:57:00 the Bananas, they did not miss a single

2:57:03 trick play in this game. And that is

2:57:06 clearly what helped lead them to an

2:57:08 earned equalizer point. The fourth time

2:57:10 that they have done that in 2026. And

2:57:13 I'll tell you what, impressive against

2:57:14 the Clowns, who had only given up the

2:57:15 equalizer point now three times in nine

2:57:18 games.

2:57:18 >> Yeah, and that's something that I think

2:57:19 you could take as a bit of a silver

2:57:21 lining, even though you lose on Sunday

2:57:23 and split the series. They obviously had

2:57:26 their best trick play performance of the

2:57:28 season last night in game one. And they

2:57:30 went pound-forpound with one of the best

2:57:33 teams in the league this year at trick

2:57:34 plays with the bananas.

2:57:36 >> Yeah, that was a team coming in

2:57:37 averaging 5.8 trick plays a game. They

2:57:39 come away with 14 and 12, respectively.

2:57:42 And take a look what we have on the

2:57:43 docket next week. It's rematches across

2:57:46 the board and every headlining series

2:57:48 flips to the other team. So it opens up

2:57:51 Thursday night. The Bananas, of course,

2:57:53 the headliner in their home city of

2:57:55 Savannah, Georgia. 700 p.m. on the

2:57:56 Bananas YouTube channel. Thursday night,

2:57:59 opening up a three-game set against the

2:58:00 Clowns. And then the following, or

2:58:02 actually the very same night, tailgator

2:58:04 and firefighters open up a twoame set in

2:58:07 Charlotte, a firefighters headlining

2:58:09 YouTube. And that's why you find those

2:58:10 games on their YouTube channel. And then

2:58:13 the Coconuts and Party Animals, uh, they

2:58:15 will have themselves a twoame set in

2:58:18 Milwaukee. That'll be a really fun one.

2:58:21 First ever Party Animals headlining

2:58:23 series in a big league park that does

2:58:24 not include the Savannah Bananas.

2:58:26 >> Yeah, I mean that is mustwatch TV. And

2:58:28 the Party Animals have also benefited

2:58:30 from playing as the home team quite a

2:58:32 bit this season. I know they are juiced

2:58:34 up to take on the Loco Beach Coconuts in

2:58:37 American Family Field. And meanwhile,

2:58:39 the firefighters, really fun game that

2:58:42 they'll get against the Texas Tailgator.

2:58:44 We know how much they push that trick

2:58:46 play battle. I mean, there's going to be

2:58:48 some equalizer points certainly on the

2:58:50 line throughout that series in Truis

2:58:52 Field. And by the way, bite my tongue,

2:58:54 folks. That's a three-game set for the

2:58:55 Tailgator and Firefighters, too. They

2:58:57 got backto back threeame weekends

2:58:59 against each other. That will be really

2:59:01 fun to see. And I'll tell you what,

2:59:03 looks like we've got ourselves a little

2:59:06 surprise interview down on the field.

2:59:09 Head coach of the Savannah Bananas,

2:59:10 Tyler Gillum. Rex Castillo, how the heck

2:59:13 did you get the skipper?

2:59:20 >> Coach, with here head coach Tyler

2:59:22 Gillum. Congratulations on a massive

2:59:23 win. Kansas City though has been so

2:59:25 special to every stop here with Banana

2:59:27 Ball. What was this stop like for you?

2:59:29 >> Yeah, this place is special. So, I mean,

2:59:30 first off, shout out to Bananas players

2:59:32 today. Like, really finding a way to

2:59:34 win. It was a It was a chess match. Back

2:59:36 and forth, back and forth, and we got

2:59:38 that equalizer point, which was huge.

2:59:39 The clown show this weekend.

2:59:41 Unbelievable. I'm talking emotional.

2:59:43 There's cheers. The history of it is

2:59:46 what I love about what we're doing with

2:59:48 the Clowns. That show is one of the best

2:59:50 shows in sports. It's fun to watch. and

2:59:53 coming back here to Kansas City with

2:59:56 creating the Indianapolis Clowns and

2:59:59 what we're doing for the game of Banana

3:00:00 Ball. Now we have the Banana Ball

3:00:02 Championship League and they are a huge

3:00:04 part of it. And you know, you look back,

3:00:06 Kansas City was such a huge part in

3:00:08 Negro Leagues baseball. It started here

3:00:11 and the Clowns originated out of that

3:00:14 and these two teams, bananas, clowns

3:00:17 putting on shows, man, it was

3:00:19 unbelievable this weekend. your former

3:00:21 assistant Eric Fox who keeps the history

3:00:23 of the game so close to his heart now

3:00:24 leading his own team. Was he the right

3:00:26 guy to for this team and you see the way

3:00:28 they're playing now they're going to be

3:00:29 a tough out later on in season two.

3:00:30 >> No doubt Fox is the man. We call him an

3:00:32 OKG. That's one of our acronyms here in

3:00:34 banana land and that stands for our kind

3:00:36 of guy. Been here since 2018. Was my

3:00:39 assistant for a long time and there's

3:00:41 nobody better to lead the clowns than

3:00:43 Fox. He's done an unbelievable job. I

3:00:45 mean if you look at how much

3:00:46 entertainment they had today as a group,

3:00:48 this show was unbelievable. You got

3:00:50 Monae going in. You've got Peanut. I

3:00:53 mean, that the the mascot that's

3:00:55 throwing, that guy's throwing up to 90

3:00:57 and the stuff's good. And he's throwing

3:00:58 with a glove on. What they're doing, you

3:01:00 got Fischer hitting two hits this

3:01:02 weekend. They're doing some unbelievable

3:01:04 things. And uh it's fun to see that well

3:01:07 that that team grow and Fox is the the

3:01:10 leader of it.

3:01:10 >> Let's talk about your guys for a little

3:01:11 bit. Ashen Drury, a high round draft

3:01:13 pick. He showed why here. What's going

3:01:14 to what should people know about this

3:01:16 guy that you can depend on him on such

3:01:17 big moments?

3:01:18 >> Same guy every day. The guy's nasty.

3:01:20 He's one of the best lefties in the

3:01:21 league. That's why we drafted him first

3:01:22 round and he set the tone for us today.

3:01:24 He was player of the game and uh you

3:01:27 know, everybody chipped in though. There

3:01:28 were so many pieces of this. Our team's

3:01:30 awesome. They're getting after it. Guys

3:01:32 are chipping in one way or another. And

3:01:34 the goal is to be the gold stander in

3:01:35 banana ball.

3:01:36 >> Well, thank you so much for your time,

3:01:37 Coach Gillum. A beautiful weekend here

3:01:39 in Kansas City. A lot of history honored

3:01:40 and the Bananas come away with a win

3:01:42 today. Guys, back to you.

3:01:44 >> Thank you very much, Rex. It's always

3:01:46 great to get to hear from the nanner

3:01:48 skipper, Mr. Tyler Gillum. I mean, you

3:01:50 talk about a guy, this is his ninth year

3:01:52 here in the Bananas organization. He

3:01:53 knows how much this means to the org and

3:01:56 to the country as as anybody. I mean,

3:01:58 he's he's been here for the whole Banana

3:02:00 Ball journey.

3:02:00 >> Yeah. And obviously, I mean, you know,

3:02:02 Coach Box has gotten to learn so much

3:02:04 from Tyler Gum over the years. It's no

3:02:06 surprise that he's leading the

3:02:08 Indianapolis Clowns in such an honorable

3:02:10 fashion and really pushing them to

3:02:12 perform well and to put on the best show

3:02:15 possible for fans. And that was

3:02:17 certainly an incredible game. We saw a

3:02:19 lot of great entertainment again.

3:02:20 Peanuts taking the mound, Monae Davis

3:02:22 appearing yet again. A golden batter

3:02:25 appearance from Ryan Howard, the former

3:02:27 World Series champion. And Indianapolis

3:02:30 again, they are only going to get better

3:02:31 as this season progresses. And we're

3:02:34 seeing more and more the home team or

3:02:36 the home games that they get. The fans

3:02:39 just continue to show their support and

3:02:42 get louder in those stands cheering them

3:02:44 on.

3:02:44 >> I'll tell you what, a big reason to be

3:02:47 optimistic too for the Indianapolis

3:02:48 Clowns. The offense obviously firing on

3:02:50 all cylinders. It's a pretty impressive

3:02:51 pitching performance this weekend as

3:02:53 well.

3:02:53 >> Absolutely. It's definitely one of the

3:02:55 things you can take away from this. They

3:02:56 are rounding out their game and it's

3:02:59 simple to say, but these two games, I

3:03:00 mean, it's a clash of styles. you want

3:03:02 to play a home run derby last night,

3:03:04 then yeah, the clowns are going to have

3:03:05 the advantage. Today was a

3:03:07 detailedfilled game and that's

3:03:10 ultimately why the Bananas won the game.

3:03:12 They're better in the details, but the

3:03:13 Clowns, I mean, they had neck andneck in

3:03:16 the trick plays for the whole time. Um,

3:03:18 they were shut out in six of the last

3:03:19 seven innings at the plate, but the last

3:03:21 the final three innings, the only point

3:03:24 that the Bananas got was the equalizer

3:03:25 point. So, you're talking about high

3:03:27 leverage guys out of the bullpen. You

3:03:29 got a nice bounceback performance from

3:03:30 Clark Gilmore. Nick Wilson, as we talked

3:03:33 about, continues to be one of the rising

3:03:35 young stars in the sport. There is a lot

3:03:37 of positive to take away from a series

3:03:39 split, especially since they hadn't

3:03:41 beaten the Bananas coming into the

3:03:42 weekend,

3:03:43 >> right? And you didn't even get to see

3:03:44 David Griffin this weekend, the highest

3:03:46 drafted pitcher on this squad, the man

3:03:48 who we think is going to be the ace of

3:03:50 this uh starting pitching rotation. And

3:03:52 the Clowns really impressive work this

3:03:54 weekend.

3:03:54 >> Yeah, and I think the only thing that

3:03:56 you hope they grow on is defense. I

3:03:58 mean, we got to talk so much about how

3:04:00 defense will win you games in banana

3:04:02 ball. Not only with that equalizer

3:04:03 point, but every inning in which the

3:04:05 bananas score today. It happened because

3:04:07 of a Clown's trick play missed or error.

3:04:10 So, it was the details that really did

3:04:13 matter when the final score was

3:04:15 determined. And the Bananas again,

3:04:17 flawless defense, especially with trick

3:04:19 plays, had the 4 to3 dub. Thank you

3:04:21 again. That's right. 4 to2 win for the

3:04:23 Bananas to split this series after the

3:04:25 Clowns took night one 3-1 an evening

3:04:28 ago. Thank you for spending your Sunday

3:04:30 afternoon with us here on the CW. Big

3:04:33 shout out to our folks in the control

3:04:35 room back in Savannah, Georgia. This

3:04:36 broadcast directed by Keegan Woods. And

3:04:42 Chadwick Folkstead. A big shout out to

3:04:53 booth. I am Bo Scala saying so long and

3:04:56 see

3:05:10 you.
