1:13 >> It is round two in Yankee Stadium

1:16 between the Savannah Bananas and their

1:17 arch rival, the Party Animals. It took

1:20 three rounds of showdowns on Friday

1:22 night for the Bananas to complete their

1:24 comeback and make it seven straight

1:27 victories. Today, two 2025 pitcher of

1:30 the year candidates duel as Noah Nisnik

1:32 and the Nanners are hunting a series

1:35 sweep while Brett Helton looks to be the

1:37 stopper for the animals in this series

1:39 finale. Heck of a grand conclusion to

1:42 another wild weekend of Banana Ball and

1:45 we bring it to you live on the Roku

1:48 Sports channel as well as the Savannah

1:50 Bananas YouTube channel. The 11 and1

1:53 Nanners against the four and eight

1:55 animals as we welcome you inside with

1:58 the statistical savant of the sport, Mr.

2:00 Josh Tipsky. I am Bo Scallow. Thank you

2:03 so much for spending your Sunday funday

2:05 with us here in virtual banana land. The

2:08 third banana ball game to kick off here

2:11 this afternoon. What a time to be alive.

2:13 >> Yeah, and this is a super exciting game

2:15 when you consider all of the dramatics

2:17 that happened on Friday night. Dan

2:19 Oburst, a game-tying home run in the

2:21 ninth. Three thrilling rounds of

2:24 showdown tiebreakers and the bananas

2:26 once again coming out on top against the

2:28 party animals in a game one and in

2:30 walk-off fashion as well. But let's not

2:33 forget that in game two in the Superdome

2:35 in mid-March, the Party Animals were

2:37 able to bounce back in a major way and

2:39 they are hoping for much of the same

2:41 today behind one of their best pitchers

2:43 in franchise history in Brett Helton.

2:46 And as you can see looking at the

2:47 Savannah Bananas record, they have not

2:49 lost a game in the regular season since

2:52 March 15th against the Party Animals in

2:54 the Super Doome. Let's take a look at

2:56 what happened Friday night in detail. It

2:59 started with Reese Hampton on third

3:01 base. Just three batters into the ball

3:03 game. He reached on a trick play,

3:04 missed, got moved over by Auff, got

3:06 driven in by Jake Skull. That's a story

3:08 I think you're going to hear a lot here

3:10 in 2026. And then Garrett Deleno,

3:13 vintage form. How about striking out the

3:16 side? Oburst, Alexiatis, Young Goldberg,

3:19 all down via the K. Animals strike

3:21 instantly. Yeah, perfect start to the

3:23 night for Triple 7 and the party

3:25 animals. Now we pick things up. Third

3:26 inning, Austin Drury facing off against

3:29 Jason Swan. And Swany bringing in

3:31 another run for the Animals, but that

3:34 lead would not stand up. Bottom half of

3:36 the frame. Robert Anthony Cruz with his

3:39 first swing in Yankee Stadium. And he

3:42 leads the yard against Garrett Deleno to

3:44 knock the inning at a run a piece. Then

3:47 top four, a shirtless Andy Cosgrove to a

3:50 backflip catching Robert Anthony Cruz.

3:53 Wild bananable action there. And then

3:55 the very next batter, double trick play,

3:58 KJ to Ziggy. That would put a bow on

4:00 Drury's evening. He would go three and

4:02 two third. Those two runs against him,

4:03 both unearned. And then Derek Cla, the

4:06 Phantom of the Opera, the rookie coming

4:08 in. And how poetic is it? He gets his

4:11 first career banana ball strikeout here

4:13 in his adopted home of New York City.

4:15 Who would have guessed? The Phantom

4:16 banning Bryson Bloomer. Incredible

4:18 accomplishment for Derek Bla. All smiles

4:21 with his teammates. Now bottom four,

4:24 Bill Leroy a great barrel into deep

4:26 center field, but Reese Hampton, the

4:28 former Tigers and Diamondbacks Farm, a

4:31 great running snag to keep the Party

4:33 Animals leading in this ball game. And

4:36 here in the fifth, they get a run on the

4:38 board. It's Hampton swiping third base

4:41 after reaching on a trick play miss and

4:44 then scoring on an error. And Shaun

4:46 Fluke makes the run stand up. Animals

4:49 out to a two- lead through five. In

4:51 comes Connor Harris after Andrew

4:53 inducing two double trick plays with a

4:55 man on a foul out to that kid in the

4:58 second deck. What a snag. The only foul

5:01 out to the fans in the ball game. Part

5:02 of a scoreless frame for Harris, the

5:04 lifelong Yankee fan. And then Dakota

5:06 Stilts and the pride of Alville, Georgia

5:08 here in his sixth world tour. His first

5:10 hit of the season and it sparked the

5:13 first rally for the bananas of the ball

5:15 game. Two batters later, Dan Overs

5:17 brings in Ty Jackson who was

5:18 representing Stilts. Ben Wilson to still

5:21 shabico. That was a great piece of

5:24 bitting from all Britain and the Bananas

5:26 cut the Animals lead in half. Now here

5:29 seventh inning, it's the Animals tacking

5:31 on two runs against Allen Satov the

5:34 second courtesy of that sack fly from

5:36 Jake Skull. But how about the Nanners?

5:39 It's the long ball once again negating a

5:42 point for the party animals. Max Young

5:45 Goldberg first career banana ball bomb.

5:48 And I'd say it couldn't have come at a

5:50 better point in time for the Nanner's

5:52 first baseman. Still two to one going

5:55 into the eighth inning. And Noah

5:57 Fischer, the defense was on display in

5:59 left field. A great running snag to

6:02 start the frame. And then Ty Jackson

6:04 lifting this one into the left center

6:06 gap. How about Fish? Another diving play

6:09 and it's two to one going to the ninth.

6:12 A runner on second. It was a Jake Skull

6:14 Golden batter double. he would be

6:16 stranded as Hampton pops out to KJ. So

6:18 Dan overst golden batter hitting in the

6:20 10 hole to lead off the bottom of the

6:22 ninth. Warning track power to Fiser out

6:25 in left. But look at this. Dan with an

6:27 about turn. He's jogging back to the

6:29 batters box cuz now it's his turn in the

6:31 order. And on the 3-1 he lines this into

6:34 the second deck. Oppo Taco Dan driving

6:37 in the second point of the ball game for

6:40 the Savannah Bananas tying the game at

6:42 two. And he is on fire. and he had the

6:44 benefit of seeing nine pitches against

6:46 Peter Holden since he got backto back at

6:48 bats. Nonetheless, Holden able to hold

6:51 serve after allowing that game-tying

6:53 homer. Back-to-back punchouts of

6:55 Alexiotis and Young Goldberg send us to

6:58 round one of Showdowns where Hosley

7:00 despite allowing two ball force sprints

7:03 in the round strikes out Jake Skull

7:05 keeps the animals off the board and then

7:08 bottom half Obururst a rocket out to

7:10 right field but a bounce friendly enough

7:13 for the animals to rally relay I should

7:16 say this one in and nail Obururst at the

7:18 plate. Yeah, excellent defense from Bobo

7:21 Gillespie and Cosgrove. And then it's

7:24 the soft contact from Danny Hosley

7:26 taking care of Jason Swan in the top of

7:28 round two and Holden catching KJ

7:31 looking. Fast ball grazing the outside

7:33 corner. Fired up. We're going to round

7:35 three. Base is juice. 32 pitch. Fast

7:38 ball blown by Auff. Danny do it all is

7:41 now a perfect six for six and his

7:44 showdown opportunities on the mound in

7:46 the regular season. And Dr. Meadows

7:48 coming off the bench. He only had one

7:50 plate appearance in the ball game prior

7:52 to this. He gets the soft contact with

7:54 the bases juiced and walks it off.

7:57 Nanner's 32 winners after three rounds

7:59 of showdowns.

8:00 >> Yeah, a absolutely thrilling contest and

8:03 another come from behind win from the

8:05 Savannah Bananas this season. Now out to

8:08 an 11 and one record. And we zoom in on

8:11 the history between these two teams in

8:14 the state of New York. And we have had

8:16 nothing but thrilling battles in our

8:18 lifetime. Now the both of these teams

8:21 have won two games a piece here in New

8:23 York. And the Bananas were able to win

8:26 in showdowns. And we even saw thrilling

8:29 games in Syracuse and Coopertown that

8:31 helped the animals win that 2023 season

8:34 series. I'm telling you, the games get

8:36 bigger when the Nanners and Party

8:37 Animals are in the Big Apple. Yeah. And

8:39 you look at that 4-3 win in Syracuse.

8:41 That was of course their eighth straight

8:43 victory. And then the 2-1 win right next

8:46 to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Double

8:48 Day Field. That was the finale as they

8:52 won that season series in 2023 in wild

8:55 fashion. A little while ago, Drake Tol

8:57 caught up with Mike Vvesis and Jake

8:59 Skull talking about playing against the

9:01 Bananas here in the Bronx. Let's check

9:03 it out.

9:08 >> Thanks, guys. Got Vava Jake Skull down

9:10 here on the field. VA for you growing up

9:12 a Yankees fan, not even growing up, I

9:14 want to go to 27year-old Michael Vasis.

9:17 I don't I want to talk to that guy.

9:19 Could you ever believe that you'd be

9:20 standing on this field coaching in a

9:22 game like this?

9:23 >> I could never imagine it in my in my

9:25 greatest imagination, especially at 27.

9:27 I I was teaching uh and coaching high

9:29 school baseball and I was like, man,

9:31 this this is my life now. And uh being

9:33 able to do this now, have the

9:34 opportunity, live this dream out, it's

9:36 speechless. Skull for you being in the

9:39 Yankees system and now here playing at

9:41 Yankee Stadium. I know it's different

9:42 than what you expected it to look like,

9:43 but to have your son in the stands

9:45 watching you, a soldout crowd, and to

9:47 realize this moment, how does that feel?

9:50 >> Yeah, I mean, this was the dream. Like,

9:51 I played a couple years with the Yankees

9:53 and minor leagues and um wanted to play

9:56 81 games a year here, but for a couple

9:58 seasons at least, and then um didn't

10:01 work out, you know, got signed on with

10:02 the Banana Balls and and now we get to

10:05 sell out these kind of stadiums. It's

10:06 It's pretty special. And uh obviously

10:08 having the little one and Avery up in

10:10 the stands, it's uh I don't think I saw

10:12 Yankee Stadium till I was probably 25

10:14 and he gets to see it at 9 months. So

10:16 pretty special. So it's fun.

10:18 >> Injury-wise, how are you and where are

10:21 you on the road to recovery?

10:22 >> I'm good. I think um probably 80 or 90%

10:24 and um getting to play some outfield

10:26 today. So u and obviously we'll we'll be

10:29 in the batters box, you know, hitting

10:30 for four or five ABS. So uh I feel

10:33 great. I think Vegas will be probably

10:35 100% but um everything's is going great.

10:38 Casey's been amazing, our trainer. So,

10:41 shout out to Casey.

10:42 >> Baba, some of the best teams in

10:44 baseball, Banana Bowl anywhere go

10:45 through stretches like this or you lose

10:47 a couple in a row. I I've heard the

10:48 message of don't overthink it. Is that

10:50 still the play going into today?

10:51 >> Absolutely. Don't overthink it. Don't

10:52 think way too much into it. You know,

10:54 it's still early in the year and we had

10:56 a great fight Friday night. I mean, you

10:57 can't be upset with the loss. So, I

10:59 mean, we we put everything we had into

11:00 it. Um, we just got to keep doing our

11:02 thing, keep being the party animals and

11:03 and we'll be back to normal.

11:05 >> Josh Bo, let's send it back to you guys.

11:06 It's Mike Vase, Jake Skull down on the

11:08 field.

11:10 >> Thank you very much, Drake Tol. When we

11:13 return, we will get to meet those very

11:16 party animals. Let's see the lineup that

11:18 Mike Vasis has going this afternoon.

11:22 He is three months old, 12 lbs,

11:28 and I believe he might be going to the

11:30 bathroom.

11:41 and the good vibes vibing. And give it

11:44 up one more time, New York, for our

11:48 banana baby,

11:50 Chase.

11:57 Ladies and gentlemen, they're the

12:00 wildest, craziest, sexiest, most

12:04 outrageous group of animals you've ever

12:08 laid your eyes on. And they're here for

12:10 just one reason, to party. Here they

12:14 come, the party animal.

12:55 How you doing?

12:58 >> Hey,

13:00 >> that's

13:03 dope, bro.

13:05 All

13:06 right.

13:15 >> And now the starting lineup for the

13:19 party animals leading off the center

13:21 fielder number six, Reese Hampton.

13:30 Shortstop number 11, Chase A.

13:49 Extra hitter XJ.

14:00 Right fielder number three, TJ Reed.

14:10 First baseman number two, Jason Swan.

14:27 Second baseman number 407, Mikey Balor.

14:41 >> The DH number five, Andy Cosgro.

14:51 Left fielder number four, Tanner Tinder

14:54 Thomas.

15:01 Catcher number 41, Brunson Bho.

15:13 And third baseman number eight, Bryson

15:16 Bloomber.

15:26 On the mound for the party animals,

15:28 number 10, Brett Helte.

15:44 The party animals are managed by Mike

15:46 Baba the basis assisted by Thomas and

15:49 Shady Simino and Anthony. How you doing

15:53 for a motto?

16:05 Yes,

16:26 yes, yes.

16:30 There is the party animals lineup this

16:32 afternoon with Brett Hilton on the bump.

16:36 And let's get the 11 rules that turn

16:39 America's pastime baseball into our

16:42 beloved sport of banana ball.

16:46 Banana Ball is the fastest and most

16:48 entertaining show in sports and the 11

16:51 rules guarantee the most fans first

16:53 experience every second.

16:54 >> Unbelievable.

16:56 >> Welcome to the Banana Ball Championship

16:58 League. Rule number one, win the inning,

17:01 win the point. The team that scores the

17:03 most runs in an inning wins the point.

17:05 >> It's a walk-off winner to the deepest P

17:08 field.

17:09 >> Oh my goodness.

17:10 >> With the equalizer point, trick plays

17:12 provide the away team an opportunity to

17:14 earn a point going into the final

17:16 inning. And in the final inning, every

17:18 run counts as a point. Rule number two,

17:21 Banana Ball has a 2hour time limit,

17:24 guaranteeing that every game is

17:26 fast-paced and action-packed. Rule

17:29 number three, no stepping out of the

17:31 batter's box. If you do, it will result

17:33 in a strike.

17:34 >> Max stepped out of the box and because

17:36 he stepped out of the box, that's it.

17:38 >> Rule number four, no bunting, cuz

17:40 bunting sucks. If you bunt, you'll be

17:43 thrown out of the game. Rule number

17:45 five, batters can steal first base. Ball

17:48 three. Gideon taken off for first throw

17:49 from Leroy in time.

17:52 >> Rule number six, there's no walks. Walks

17:55 are ball force sprints. The batter can

17:58 advance as far as they want until every

18:00 position player touches the ball.

18:02 >> No defenders have touched the banana

18:04 ball. It is a four base sprint to open

18:07 up the ball game.

18:08 >> Rule number seven, no mound visits.

18:12 >> Nope. Rule number eight, foul balls

18:15 caught by a fan count as an out.

18:17 >> Oh, they missed. They did. They kept

18:19 going on the court. We're going to show

18:23 >> rule number nine, the showdowns. In

18:26 Showdowns, the best of the best face off

18:28 in the biggest moment. One hitter verse

18:31 one pitcher with one fielder behind him.

18:33 And the hitter has to score deep to

18:35 right center. See you later. Rule number

18:40 10, the banana ball challenge rule gives

18:42 the coaches and you, the fans, a chance

18:45 to impact a call on the field. Rule

18:48 number 11, the golden batter. Once a

18:51 game, each team can give any player in a

18:53 bat, regardless of the lineup. This

18:55 offers the biggest matchups on the

18:57 biggest stage. Big on big.

19:01 It's gone. It's gone. It's gone.

19:04 >> Get out of here, ball. That thing had a

19:07 family.

19:09 And those are the rules of Banana Ball.

19:15 >> Thank you, Jesse Cole for the rules of

19:17 Banana Ball. Let's zoom in on the golden

19:20 batter as it loomed very large last

19:22 night. Once a game, a team may send any

19:25 hitter in the lineup to bat in any spot.

19:27 And of course, the reason this rule

19:29 exists is so that we can get the best

19:31 athletes in the sport battling when the

19:33 game matters most. And you saw on Friday

19:35 night the party animal sent spent there

19:37 reigning MVP and the triple crown winner

19:40 from a season ago. Jake Skull up to the

19:41 plate doubled as the golden batter

19:43 against Danny Hosley this season. And

19:46 Dan Over batting for the Savannah

19:48 Bananas flyed out against Peter Holden.

19:51 But the golden batter still had quite

19:53 the effect in that ball game for the

19:55 boys in yellow. Yeah. Let's take a look

19:58 back at Dan Ober's adventure in the

20:00 bottom of the ninth inning. It's really

20:02 rare. like literally singledigit times

20:04 still in banana ball history that we

20:06 have seen a player hit backto back. This

20:09 is not usually at all how the golden

20:11 batter is utilized. But at the 10hole

20:13 for the bananas, Dan getting to hit

20:16 against a lefty. You see he just barely

20:19 misses the home run in the first battle

20:21 against Holden out to left field. He

20:23 worked himself a hitter's count. And

20:25 what a piece of hitting to tie the game

20:26 in the second battle between these two.

20:28 And you saw he was technically the on

20:30 deck batter as he was in the

20:32 right-handed batters box. So we got to

20:34 see nine pitches against Peter Holden.

20:37 And pitch number nine, a 3-1 count.

20:40 Obururst makes Holden pay. Second deck

20:43 inning or gametying blast I should say

20:47 for Dan Oburst. And for more on that

20:50 legendary moment with Dan, we send it to

20:52 Sam Bowman.

20:56 Hey guys, here with Danny Barrels. And

20:58 where else would you find him than

21:00 hanging out with the stuff that helps

21:01 you hit those barrels, Danny? Yet

21:03 another home run Friday night. An

21:06 important one for your Bananas. Things

21:08 are just working for you. I know you

21:09 don't like to talk about yourself, but

21:11 uh got to be feeling pretty good about

21:12 that swing.

21:13 >> Yeah, that one was pretty cool. Uh I'll

21:14 remember that one for a while, but good

21:16 opportunity for the boys. A lot of

21:18 people were, you know, talking how are

21:19 they going to respond after the open and

21:21 uh you know, we had a tough tough

21:23 matchup. The tailgator played good, but

21:25 vibes are good. Nothing's changed. We're

21:27 fine. We're ready to go.

21:28 >> Now, guys, he's also somebody who wore

21:30 multiple helmets last night. We saw her

21:31 or Friday night, the golden batter, his

21:33 regular helmet, of course. Danny, what's

21:34 the mentality knowing that you are

21:36 leading off for yourself to come up

21:39 right after that?

21:40 >> Yeah. Um, as a hitter that was good cuz

21:42 I got to see, uh, Holden stuff was

21:44 really good last night, but I got to see

21:46 it and then I got to go right back up

21:47 and it worked out in my favor. He made

21:49 some really good pitches and I thought

21:50 his stuff looked really good. But uh

21:51 sometimes it just goes your way.

21:53 >> Finally here, Dan. Uh usually the bare

21:56 chest, but I noticed we we kind of

21:58 layered up here in New York. Do you

22:00 think uh was it tough getting used to

22:01 having all that that kind of layers on?

22:03 >> Man, I've gotten chirped a good bit by

22:05 some fans. Um I guess I'm not as tough

22:07 as I look, they're saying. But it was

22:09 pretty cold and it's pretty cold today,

22:10 so I'm going to stick with the layers.

22:12 >> Well, whether he's shirtless or not, it

22:13 still seems to be working, guys. And uh

22:16 keep an eye. We might be looking over

22:17 the the wall out there in the outfield

22:19 yet again tonight.

22:22 Thank you, SB. It is always a blast

22:25 getting insight from the 8-year banana

22:28 Dan Oburst. And uh clearly after moving

22:30 from Long Island to Florida at 8 years

22:33 old. Yeah, that is a Florida boy through

22:34 and through at this point. What a

22:36 pitching matchup this afternoon. Brett

22:38 Helton and Noah is we've talked about it

22:40 already. It bears repeating. Those are

22:42 two of the five best pitchers in all of

22:44 the sport last year. They've both been

22:46 pretty terrific here in 2026.

22:48 >> Yeah. and in their careers. This is the

22:50 14th time they are matching up against

22:52 each other. It's not quite at the Louigs

22:54 Delano level yet, but this is still one

22:57 of the more prolific pitching matchups

22:59 we've ever seen in Banana Ball's

23:00 history. And these guys have matched

23:02 each other incredibly well. You see each

23:04 of these guys with a 2:1 strikeout to

23:07 ball force sprint ratio or better.

23:10 Earned run averages below five. I mean,

23:12 the average tour erra this season above

23:15 five right now in Bananaball. These guys

23:17 pitching above tour average and they're

23:20 neckand-neck contest. You see in these

23:23 13 starts, the Bananas have seven wins.

23:26 The Party Animals have six. So, these go

23:28 back and forth every time these guys are

23:31 matched up against each other. And the

23:32 Animals trying to draw it back up to an

23:34 even 500 record with a win today. And

23:38 such a testament to Brett Hilton's

23:39 ability to leave runners on base. 75

23:42 hits in 11 sprints in 44 innings

23:44 pitched. and he's got the better erra

23:46 between the two of them. One of the best

23:48 matchups in the history of the sport. So

23:51 blessed we get it here in this Sunday

23:54 matinea. When we return, we'll have

23:56 first pitch.

24:03 Put your hands together for the

24:04 wonderful Princess Patia.

24:10 They are the greatest dad cheer squad to

24:14 ever race. God's green earth. Put them

24:16 together for the mananas.

24:23 He is our bat trickster extraordinaire,

24:26 Mr. Alex Ziggy Ziggler.

24:32 He is the world's strongest banana and

24:35 the king of potassium. It's split.

24:41 He stands 10 ft 9 in tall. Give it up

24:44 ladies and gentlemen for Dakota Stilts

24:48 of Britain

24:52 and the best to ever do it. Our dancing

24:55 first and third base coach, it's Macio.

25:02 Give it up ladies and gentlemen for the

25:04 cast of your Savannah Banana.

25:12 Now the cast is ready. The players are

25:17 ready. It's now time for you, the fans,

25:21 to get ready. So, I need everyone on

25:24 your feet.

25:29 All the way around the stadium on your

25:31 feet because it is now time for the fan

25:34 warm-up. So, joining us to lead the fan

25:37 warm-up on her birthday, please welcome

25:40 six-year-old Teresa.

25:44 Here she comes.

25:48 >> All right, Teresa, this is really

25:49 important. We got to get this crowd

25:51 fired up for today's game. Are you ready

25:53 for this?

25:54 >> Yes.

25:55 >> Teresa, are you ready for this?

26:00 >> Welcome back to Banana Ball in the

26:02 Bronx. Let's get it down to Jesse Cole

26:04 on the field. We're getting the fans

26:05 warmed up.

26:08 >> Keep it going, Theresa.

26:10 Oh, yes. Little fist bump. I like it.

26:13 Keep it going. Oh yeah. Oh, we're

26:17 snorkeling, of course. In New York in

26:19 April. Yep. Makes sense. Oh, we're

26:25 Okay. All right. We're rocking it. Oh,

26:28 no. Jumping jacks.

26:31 Here we go. Getting

26:35 them going, Teresa.

26:38 And we're back clapping.

26:42 Teresa, look around. This sold out crowd

26:45 going crazy for you. Let's hear it for

26:48 six-year-old Teresa.

27:13 ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls, and

27:17 potassium enthusiasts from around the

27:19 world. Today, you and thousands of your

27:22 friends here live and millions more

27:24 watching at home have gathered here to

27:26 witness something beyond your wildest

27:29 imagination. From Montana to Savannah,

27:34 from the aisle of man to Tokyo, Japan,

27:37 the banana maniacs come from across the

27:39 globe to witness this. This is not

27:44 baseball. This is the Crucible where the

27:47 fastest, hungriest, and most

27:49 entertaining players are forged. This is

27:51 a game of the fans, by the fans, and for

27:55 the fans. But this is not your

27:58 granddad's pastime. This is not just

28:01 another day at the ballpark. This game

28:05 is baseball by birth, fruit by name, and

28:08 an absolute worldwide phenomenon by the

28:11 grace of God. This is the time for every

28:15 single person here at a soldout Yankee

28:18 Stadium to get on your feet and give me

28:22 your voices

28:28 because this is the greatest show in

28:31 sports. Ladies and gentlemen, this is

28:35 Van Park

28:40 Stadium. Let's meet the starting lineup

28:43 for your Savannah Bananas.

28:48 Leading off the center fielder, number

28:50 five, Dr. The Doc Meadow.

28:59 The right fielder number two, Reese

29:01 Superman

29:03 Alexi.

29:08 At first base, number nine, Max Young

29:12 Goldberg.

29:17 In the cleanup spot, the DH number 19,

29:21 Dan Ober.

29:28 At third base, number four, Kyle KJ

29:33 Jackson.

29:39 Behind the plate, numero uno, Bill

29:44 Roy.

29:49 At second base, wearing number eight,

29:51 our greatest showman, Jackson

30:00 in left field. Number 15, we call him

30:03 rack. Robert Anthony Crew,

30:10 the extra hitter number 18. He does it

30:13 all, Danny Hosley.

30:19 And at shortstop number six, our glove

30:22 magician,

30:24 Ryan Cox

30:29 on the mound. for your Savannah Bananas

30:31 tonight. Number 88, Noah.

30:42 Your Savannah Bananas are led by Tyler

30:45 Gillum, assisted by Adam Pyro, Vyant,

30:49 Ryan Kellogg, Bryce Stober, and Reggie

30:53 the legend.

31:14 Ladies and gentlemen, at this time we

31:17 ask that you please rise if you're able

31:19 and remove your caps. here to honor

31:22 America with the singing of today's

31:25 national anthem. Please welcome Matteo

31:29 Lopez.

31:36 Say

31:40 by the dawn early

31:46 But so proudly

32:45 Oh,

32:47 that stars spangled

32:59 Head of the free

33:06 is the world

33:08 of the

33:15 give up for Matteo

33:18 Lopez.

33:21 >> Just an absolutely outstanding rendition

33:24 of the national anthem from Matteo. A

33:27 roar from over 46,000 fans here in

33:31 Yankee Stadium for the conclusion of

33:34 this two game set between the party

33:37 animals and the bananas as we welcome

33:40 you back inside with Josh Tvki Bo Scala.

33:44 Thank you again for spending your Sunday

33:46 funday with us here in virtual banana

33:48 land. the Nanners that 3-2 victory after

33:50 three rounds of showdowns Friday night

33:53 and now we get the conclusion of this so

33:55 far really thrilling two game set and

33:57 it's two teams on different kinds of

33:59 streaks. The Bananas winners of seven

34:01 straight at the moment. Meanwhile, the

34:03 Party Animals have dropped each of their

34:05 last six. So, the Animals certainly

34:07 hoping that the tides are going to

34:09 change in today's contest. Let's feast

34:11 our peepers on the Savannah Bananas

34:14 defensive alignment here this afternoon.

34:17 This is the last of eight banana ball

34:19 games this weekend. And what a sight for

34:21 Sor eyes in center field. It is Dr.

34:24 Meadows with Robert Anthony Cruz in

34:26 left. Reese Selectiatis in right. Third

34:29 to first in the infield. You see Kyle

34:31 Jackson, Ryan Cox, Jackson Olsson, and

34:33 Max Young Goldberg. Bill Loy is behind

34:36 the plate. Alex Ziegler the designated

34:37 fielder.

34:38 >> Yeah, this is certainly exciting for the

34:40 Savannah Bananas to have gotten Dr.

34:41 Meadows back in center field, their team

34:44 leader in trick plays. But Kyle Jackson

34:46 really led the way on Friday night for

34:48 them defensively. Four at the hot corner

34:51 and hoping to add on even more in

34:53 today's competition.

35:07 But outside of that, still the captain

35:09 of this squad when it comes to trick

35:11 plays and the guy who had 14 trick plays

35:15 last year here across the two game set

35:18 in the Bronx. Noah Nisnik in the middle

35:20 of it all across 13 innings this year.

35:23 He is his good old self. 11 strikeouts

35:26 just the two sprints pitching to the

35:28 tune of a 277 earned run average.

35:30 >> Yeah, and this is his seventh time

35:31 getting the ball from the get-go for the

35:32 Savannah Bananas. has a 272 RA plus this

35:36 season, indicating he's close to three

35:39 times better than the league average

35:41 pitcher in the Banana Ball Championship

35:43 League. But the biggest thing to take

35:45 note of today with Noah Nisnik,

35:47 right-handed batters own a 341 batting

35:51 average against him this season. They

35:53 have had a lot of success against the

35:54 Southpaw. He's got to figure out a way

35:57 to hold them in check in this ball game.

36:00 When it comes to the Party Animal

36:02 starting lineup, it is the legend

36:05 himself, Panama's all-time leader in

36:07 hits. The switch hitting center fielder,

36:08 Reese Hampton at the top, then Chase

36:10 Auff, another guy who will hit

36:12 right-handed against Nisnik, followed by

36:14 Jake Skull, TJ Reeves getting the start

36:17 in the cleanup spot. Then Jason Swan,

36:19 Mike Ballard, Andy Cosgrove, Tanner

36:21 Thomas, Bronson Ballome, and Bryson

36:23 Bloomer to round it out. And although

36:24 Andy Cosgrove's on a little bit of a

36:26 skid right now for the Party Animals,

36:28 last season he batted 429 against Noah

36:31 Nisnik, the most success that any Party

36:34 Animal in that lineup had. So they're

36:36 hoping to get a big game from their

36:38 designated hitter today. This lineup has

36:40 seen a whole lot of Noanis across the

36:44 last two years. Now they face him in

36:46 front of a full house in Yankee Stadium.

36:48 The last thing to do is start the clock.

36:50 For that, here's Jessation. It is time

36:54 on three. I need everyone here to yell

36:57 start the clock. One, two, three.

37:04 >> Showtime.

37:08 >> Hampton Auff and Skull

37:12 to kick off the first.

37:16 Reese Lightning

37:18 here in his fourth year as a party

37:20 animal after he was a banana all the way

37:22 back in his maiden journey the 2022

37:25 World Tour.

37:28 Quick ball and a strike on him. Our home

37:30 plate umpire Trey Hudson, the crew

37:32 chief. That ball is smashed foul all the

37:37 way up into the sweets and not caught.

37:40 Hampton one for five last night but

37:42 reached on a pair of trick plays.

37:43 missed, scored two runs, and of course

37:45 manufactured that run in the fifth that

37:47 led to the second and final point scored

37:50 by the Party Animals with his steal of

37:52 third base. Yeah, he's certainly heating

37:53 up for the boys in black and pink on a

37:55 fourame hit streak with a surprising

37:58 nine runs batted in in that span.

38:05 Ball four sprint. All seven fielders

38:07 behind the pitcher and catcher have to

38:09 touch the ball before it is live.

38:12 A little sloppiness

38:14 with Max Young Goldberg, but Hampton

38:18 respecting the Banana Sprint defense

38:20 will grab his team leading 10th free

38:23 pass of the year. And early action for

38:26 the Animals with Chase Auff digging in.

38:28 Well, here's the thing. Hampton doesn't

38:29 necessarily need to try and stretch to

38:32 get two bases on the ball for Sprint.

38:34 He's currently leading the Animals with

38:35 six stolen bases. In fact, almost 43% of

38:39 the Animals team stolen bases this

38:42 season have come courtesy of Hampton.

38:45 Yeah, the Animals not a team that has

38:47 run a ton here in 2026.

38:52 Reese leading the way so far.

38:56 Soft stuff down and in.

39:01 And soft contact Auff right side. Max

39:04 Young Goldberg tip drill will clean it

39:07 up. There is your first trick play of

39:10 the afternoon and out number one for

39:12 Nisnik. And a very smart play by a

39:15 Banana Ball rookie. He has nothing to

39:17 lose. Trying to come away with a trick

39:19 play in foul territory. Looked like for

39:22 a long time he was trying to shade his

39:24 eyes from the sun. He was just trying to

39:26 make sure he could get the tip drill off

39:28 and collect an early trick play for this

39:30 Nanners team. Third of the year for MJG,

39:34 the only rookie in the field for the

39:35 Bananas

39:37 as Jake Skull muscles this one deep out

39:40 to left center and it's going to be all

39:43 the way to the wall. Hampton with a

39:45 great read is going to score easily and

39:47 Jake Skull the RBI double after

39:49 providing most of the offense last night

39:51 for the Party Animals.

40:00 Big knock for Jake Skull. Now has a hit

40:03 in each of his last 11 starts

40:06 offensively for the Bad Boys in black

40:08 and pink and has an extra base hit in

40:11 six of his last seven contests as well.

40:14 He continues to rate for this animal

40:16 squad and they are happy to have him

40:18 back from injury.

40:20 >> Second two bagger of the weekend as we

40:22 talked about on the pregame as the

40:24 golden batter in the top of the ninth

40:26 last night. had a ground rule double to

40:28 left.

40:30 Uses every part of the field so well.

40:32 And here is

40:35 one of the few Party Animals rookies. In

40:38 fact,

40:40 only two of them in the lineup. They're

40:42 back to back here. TJ Reeves and Mike

40:44 Ballard as Reeves chases and is quickly

40:47 down swinging. Nisnick with his first

40:49 strikeout.

40:51 >> Big bounceback strike out for Noah

40:53 Nisnik following the RBI double. And

40:56 speaking of that RBI double, Jake Skull

40:58 also had the benefit of Dr. Meadows out

41:01 there in center field, although he's

41:02 drawn the start in center. He did tell

41:04 us before the game he wasn't exactly at

41:07 100%. Knew he couldn't try and book it

41:10 out there in center field to reach every

41:12 ball. So, you saw Meadows kind of ease

41:15 up trying to chase after that one. Hard

41:17 hit off the bat of Skull and certainly

41:19 helped Hampton score here in the first.

41:22 Hater just misses inside. And I

41:23 apologize folks. Jason Swan sandwiched

41:25 in between the two animals rookies of

41:28 Reeves and Ballard. Swany

41:31 about as veteran as they come. His fifth

41:34 year in banana ball. His fourth world

41:36 tour with the party animals.

41:39 One of the peskiest hitters in the

41:40 history of the sport. And takes the free

41:44 pass on the 3-1 offer. And that will

41:47 easily drive in Mark Smith, the

41:49 designated runner.

41:54 And it's a two spot for the Animals

41:57 >> here in the top of the first.

42:00 >> Jason Swan, especially with guys in

42:02 scoring position, he's a different beast

42:04 for the Party Animals. Eight for 15 this

42:07 season. And that's his third ball four

42:10 sprint that's brought in a run for the

42:12 Animals as well.

42:14 >> He's up to nine sprints on the year now.

42:16 He's only struck out twice. One of them

42:18 came last night.

42:22 bottom of the zone to even up the count

42:25 here on Mike Ballard.

42:27 >> Holding down second base this afternoon,

42:33 0 for four a couple nights ago.

42:37 That was in the cleanup spot. Moved down

42:39 a couple notches in the order. dangerous

42:43 man lurking in the six hole as Nisnik

42:45 has another three ball count in what has

42:48 been a very laborous opening to his

42:50 outing.

42:57 Two checks on Swan. Nothing going. Swani

43:00 a perfect four for four in stolen bases

43:02 this year

43:05 as Niz runs the count full

43:08 and another check. That one gets a

43:10 little bit away from MJG. Not far enough

43:11 for Swan to advance.

43:18 Another look.

43:23 This one knifed into the seats.

43:28 No catch by the fans.

43:37 Another 3-2. That one misses. Balor must

43:41 have got lost in the sauce. He forgot

43:43 the count. He finally takes off. Swan's

43:46 going to try and score. No, he slams the

43:48 brakes after a big round of third. Good

43:51 sprint defense by the bananas. 3-2 with

43:53 two out. Swani was off on the pitch.

43:55 That's three ball for sprints allowed

43:57 here in the first inning by Noan Isnik.

43:59 He only had two in 13 innings coming in.

44:02 >> Yet again, it's another cold day here in

44:04 New York City. 57° right now. It feels

44:08 like 54. And the Bananas, we talked

44:11 about it the other night. They haven't

44:12 played in conditions like these this

44:14 season. Can be very tough for Nisnik to

44:16 be gripping that banana ball right now.

44:18 But he will escape trouble with men on

44:20 the corners. Coxy collects another trick

44:23 play for the Nanners. But the Animals

44:24 with the two spot in inning number one.

44:28 Animals struck first on Friday night,

44:32 claiming the point in the first inning.

44:34 Excellent chance to do it again. And

44:37 here is how they line it up defensively.

44:40 Left to right in the outfield, it starts

44:42 with their designated fielder, John

44:44 Howard, Bobo. Then you see Hampton and

44:46 Reeves. And third to first in the

44:47 infield, it is Bloomer, Auff, Ballard,

44:49 and Swan with Ballome handling the

44:51 catching. Well, Chase Auff's the guy

44:53 who's been awfully impressive this

44:55 season for the party animals. 22 trick

44:57 plays defensively. He still has not

44:59 missed one for the Animals. So doing a

45:02 tremendous job for them this season. and

45:05 Jason Swan, Bryson Bloomer each had a

45:07 trick play at the corners on Friday

45:09 night, hoping to have an even larger

45:12 impact as they try and earn that

45:14 equalizer point today. And in the middle

45:16 of the madness for the party animals, it

45:19 is the veteran Brett Helton. Started his

45:22 animals career in the summer series of

45:24 2022. He has been here ever since. And

45:28 the Greek god of MPI, more sub

45:31 two-minute innings thrown than anybody

45:32 in the history of banana ball. Always a

45:34 blast getting to watch Helton toss it.

45:36 Yeah, he's making start number six in

45:38 2026. He has surrendered six hits in

45:41 each of his last two starts for the

45:43 Animals, but you mentioned he's the

45:45 Greek god of minutes per inning. And

45:47 he's been above average in that

45:49 department this year. A 104 MPI plus,

45:53 meaning he's been 4% faster than the

45:56 tour average arm. Couple runs to work

45:59 with here for Helton to start his outing

46:03 against him. The Savannah Bananas lineup

46:05 finally with their star center fielder

46:09 back at the top. Dr. Meadows getting the

46:12 start in center field this afternoon.

46:14 First time since couple Sundays ago in

46:16 Chapel Hill when he tweaked that right

46:19 hamstring of his. Then it is Alexiatis,

46:21 Young Goldberg, and Obururst cleaning it

46:23 up. followed by KJ, Laroy, Olsen, Cruz,

46:26 Hosley, and Cox.

46:27 >> Well, you see Dr. Meadows with that 447

46:30 batting average. Still the top mark here

46:32 in the Banana Ball Championship League.

46:34 So nice to have that guy back in your

46:36 leadoff spot. But this Bananas team when

46:38 they faced off against Hilton in the

46:40 Caesar Superdome in mid-March, they went

46:42 just two for 12 against the

46:45 right-hander. They're going to need to

46:46 see more production from these guys

46:48 today in Yankee Stadium.

46:51 >> Dr. started on the bench on Friday

46:54 night. Came in for a pinch hit

46:56 opportunity

46:59 in the eighth inning, grounded out to

47:01 third, but then was brought back out

47:03 with the bases loaded in the third round

47:05 of showdowns.

47:07 Pretty much all you have to do is make

47:10 contact, put the ball on the ground when

47:13 you got a Danny Hosley showdown shutdown

47:15 in the top half you're working with.

47:16 That's exactly what Dr. did. and he had

47:20 the final swing of the night as the

47:23 Naners won it 3-2 after those three

47:25 rounds of showdowns.

47:27 Chopper to short. Chase a cuff between

47:30 the legs. Make it a perfect 23 for 23 in

47:34 trick play tries for Chosen this year.

47:37 And look, that's the name of Brett

47:39 Helton's game. He commands a change up

47:41 which he would consider his best pitch.

47:43 Hoping he can get the banana ball on the

47:46 ground and get his defender trick plays

47:48 like he just got there from Chase Auff.

47:50 Helton told me before the season started

47:53 he wanted to have no strikeouts on his

47:55 season. He wanted all of his outs to be

47:58 recorded via the trick play.

47:59 >> Oh, he is a funny cat. I was I was

48:03 absolutely bamboozled when he said that

48:05 to my face.

48:07 It's a team first guy as Helton floats

48:10 the big curve ball in for a one-two

48:13 count on Reese Alexiatis the right

48:15 fielder.

48:20 Super Reese has hit here in the two-hole

48:23 now all 13 regular season games as well

48:26 as the three games at the Banana Ball

48:28 Open.

48:29 Now gets a 2-2 from Helton

48:33 >> after going 0 for four on Friday night.

48:37 This one high and deep out to right

48:39 center. Reeves on the track will tip it.

48:43 Hampton. Oh no, not there to clean it

48:45 up. TJ tried to take care of it himself

48:49 and it's backto back ball games in the

48:51 Bronx with Ree Selelexiatus. A towering

48:54 fly ball hustling all the way. Gets

48:55 three bases on a trick play missed in

48:57 the outfield.

48:59 >> That's a rookie mistake from TJ Reeves.

49:02 You have to be able to adjust as a

49:04 banana ball player on those tip drills.

49:06 He was expecting Hampton to be the guy

49:08 who took over after he engaged that tip.

49:11 But you have to make sure that even

49:13 after you tip that ball, if you've got

49:15 your teammate around you, you are still

49:17 in a position where if need be, you can

49:20 scramble and record that catch. That

49:22 certainly was not the case for Reeves.

49:24 And that's why you see Alexiatis 90 ft

49:27 away from scoring.

49:28 >> Max Young Goldberg quickly behind. No

49:31 balls in two strikes. One for four last

49:33 night. Three strikeouts, but the big

49:35 blast, a two-run shot that denied the

49:38 Party Animals a point in the seventh

49:40 inning. Key part of the Bananas victory

49:44 and his first career banana ball home

49:46 run.

49:48 Doesn't offer up on the two seamer wide.

49:51 And what a gift that trick play missed

49:53 is. Instead of being an out away from a

49:54 point, the inning tying run in the dish.

49:58 guy who hit 26 homers in the Pioneer

50:01 League last year. And a highf fly ball.

50:04 Too much launch angle though.

50:08 Reeves there for the second out.

50:09 Alexiotis tagging.

50:12 It's going to be a sacrifice fly for

50:14 MJG,

50:17 but you trade an out for a run there

50:19 every time. If you're the Party Animals,

50:21 they still lead the inning two to one.

50:25 And that's a productive out for Max

50:27 Young Goldberg. One the Bananas are

50:29 willing to take. Now it puts Dan Ober up

50:32 in the box. Had that game tying home run

50:34 in the ninth inning Friday night.

50:36 Looking for an inning tying blast here

50:39 in the first today.

50:43 Dan's on one heck of a heater.

50:46 That one is scorched into left. The

50:49 tying run is aboard as Bobo bodies that

50:52 up.

50:56 And Obururst one for four with that

50:58 game-tying homer in the ninth inning on

51:00 Friday night. Also had the walk-off

51:04 sacrifice fly to win the sixth for the

51:06 Bananas. Brace Gafi will take over for

51:09 him at first. Kyle Jackson at the dish

51:13 representing the inning winning run.

51:19 This one lofted to straightaway center.

51:22 Reese Hampton lining it up and there to

51:25 put a point on the board for the party

51:28 animals. Brett Helton earns it

51:31 >> and it's two straight games here in

51:33 Yankee Stadium. The Animals strike first

51:49 >> and YouTube son of a gun. I can't

51:51 believe we find ourselves here, but it

51:53 is just us. Our first in-game commercial

51:56 break for the Roku Sports World. Chat,

52:00 are you having a good Sunday?

52:02 Give me a bunch of Bo emojis if you are.

52:05 That's what I'd like to see.

52:09 Oh, the chat in rare form as per usual.

52:16 Great start for the party animals here

52:18 this afternoon. There go the be emojis.

52:22 >> Thank goodness. I was starting to sweat.

52:24 Where? When are they coming?

52:27 >> Like, what's got the chat down today?

52:30 >> What's up, everybody?

52:32 Oh, yeah. It is cooking.

52:35 >> The love goes both ways, chat.

52:37 >> I don't think I don't think

52:42 >> Oh, you folks are going nuts.

52:45 You know, there's a good amount of Josh

52:47 emojis in here as well. Well, I don't

52:49 know what the Josh emojis mean. The beos

52:52 just mean you're having a great Sunday.

52:54 >> You think the combination of the two

52:56 means you're having one of the greatest

52:57 Sundays of all time?

53:08 Welcome back to live Banana Ball on the

53:28 to it feels good to go bananas.com to

53:30 enter. Tanner Thomas, what do you got?

53:37 I

53:55 were talking about it

53:58 on Friday night. Josh Tanner Thomas here

54:01 in his fifth world tour. I mean, this

54:03 has to be one of your walk up goats. one

54:05 of the greatest we've ever seen

54:08 when it comes to adding some pizzazz on

54:10 his journey from the dugout, the crowd,

54:12 wherever to home plate. Know as a

54:14 manager, if you're Mike the basis, you

54:16 just want to put your guys in a position

54:17 to succeed. So, you know, no surprise

54:20 that he's getting a nice signature walk

54:22 up here in the big apple.

54:27 No trying to bounce back.

54:30 This is inside. Count full on Tanner

54:33 Thomas. Bottom three in the order for

54:35 the Party Animals

54:37 as Tanner swings through the fast ball

54:40 right down the shootute. Nisnik his

54:43 second punch out.

54:49 Look nice to see Niz keep a leadoff man

54:51 off the bases to start the top of the

54:53 second. Nonetheless, you still got to be

54:56 wary. It's another three ball count for

54:59 Noah Nisnik in this ball game. now up to

55:03 five today already.

55:06 The ninth man he faces into a double

55:08 trick play. Cox to KJ. Bronson Ball home

55:11 retired. Then two quick outs for Nisnik

55:15 and company here to open up the second

55:17 inning. And the Bananas had four of

55:20 those on Friday night against the party

55:22 animals. That helped them keep the boys

55:25 in black and pink from earning that

55:26 equalizer point. If they continue to

55:29 keep that up here this afternoon, it

55:31 looks like the Nanners are going to have

55:33 no problems with making it a second

55:36 straight game without the Animals

55:38 earning that extra point.

55:42 >> Bryson Bloomer. Two balls in no strikes.

55:45 Cox to KJ. The tip to behind the back.

55:47 That was one of those four double trick

55:49 plays for the Bananas a couple nights

55:51 ago

55:54 >> as Nisnik back in the count.

55:57 Look out now. Bloomer ahead 3-1. And

56:00 that's six of 10 batters faced with a

56:03 three ball count for the Party Animals

56:04 so far.

56:07 But it looks like it's going to be a

56:09 nice one, two, three inning for Nisnik.

56:12 Oh no. Broadcasters jinx in full effect.

56:16 Jackson Olsen can't nail the behind the

56:18 back catch and the inning continues.

56:22 Nonetheless, no reason not for Olen to

56:26 try that trick play considering two

56:28 quick outs for Noanis. Nobody on the

56:31 bases. You starting to feel confident

56:34 about him getting going. And now another

56:36 opportunity for a Bananas defender. Loy

56:39 and Ziggy rushing after that banana ball

56:42 and it winds up right behind the Bananas

56:45 dugout and not caught by any of the

56:47 fans.

56:48 >> Oh boy. It's one of the oddities of

56:51 banana ball that the teams on both sides

56:53 hang out outside of the dugout during

56:56 play. And boy, the bananas scattered in

56:58 every direction with Ziggy and Loy

57:01 bearing down on them.

57:04 >> Don't forget split too.

57:07 Another pop and another chance for

57:09 Olsen. He will catch it the oldfashioned

57:11 way with Ziggy right there begging for a

57:14 double trick play opportunity.

57:17 >> Nice bounce back though from Noah

57:18 Nisnik. He strands Bloomer on first and

57:23 let's get it on down to the field. Drake

57:25 Tol, what's going on, my man?

57:29 >> So, what's your take?

57:30 >> We're talking about the Yankees Red Sox.

57:32 The ring argument just absolutely

57:34 absurd. You guys got 27 rings. One in

57:37 the century. We have four in the

57:38 century. Stop living in the past. Socks.

57:40 Better than Yankees. Go Socks. What

57:43 about uh Yankees though?

57:47 The Yankees lose.

57:53 >> Josh Bo.

57:54 >> So, what's your take?

57:57 >> My take is that Nate Tellier's math is

57:59 wrong. The New York Yankees have two

58:01 World Series championships this century,

58:03 2000 and 2009.

58:05 >> You would know of all people.

58:09 Grew up a diehard fan of the team. Those

58:12 were the heydays. Now, it has been

58:15 quite a bit. Hey, we don't have to talk

58:17 about it.

58:17 >> Yeah, I don't I think we're looking at

58:19 17 years now since the Yankees

58:21 >> Hey, there's a promo going on. You don't

58:23 have to bring up, you know, ill

58:25 feelings.

58:25 >> I don't know what's happening here. I do

58:27 love seeing it. Is that an Anthony Rizzo

58:29 jersey? So, these guys, it's like

58:31 capture the flag except it's capture the

58:33 wig

58:37 and confirmed Rizzo jersey.

58:41 That was a beloved New York Yankees or

58:44 New York Yankee rather after he came

58:46 over from the Cubs.

58:49 We go to the home half of the second

58:53 and it's the nine-year banana.

58:56 Bill Loy leading it off followed by

58:58 Jackson Olsen and Robert Anthony Cruz.

59:02 So the captain and then

59:05 two of Bananer's ginormous social social

59:08 media sensations

59:11 and Bill aging like a fine wine here in

59:13 Banana Land as you can see hitting 316

59:16 here in his fifth tour.

59:24 Tough to complain with when the guy has

59:25 caught every single inning this year

59:27 except for one. That was back in the

59:30 second weekend of action against the

59:31 firefighters. Grace Gorafi just spelled

59:34 Bill for one frame as that one dunks

59:37 down into left center. Big turn from

59:38 Loy, but he will retreat back to first

59:42 with the leadoff single. Inning run is

59:45 aboard.

59:50 and the pride of New Milford,

59:52 Connecticut. A guy who grew up a diehard

59:54 New York Yankees fan. Figured we would

59:57 get something special from Jackson

59:58 Olsson here in the Bronx. Jackie, take

1:00:01 it away.

1:00:15 >> I have no choice. I hear your voice.

1:00:20 It feels like flying.

1:00:23 I close my eyes.

1:00:27 Oh God, I think I'm falling

1:00:31 down from the skies. I close my eyes.

1:00:37 Heaven help me. When you call my name,

1:00:42 it's like a little pray down on my

1:00:45 knees. I want to take you there in the

1:00:49 midnight hour. I can feel your power

1:00:52 just like a prayer. I want to take you

1:00:56 there. When you call my name, it's like

1:00:59 a little pray down on my knees. I want

1:01:03 to take you there.

1:01:08 Jackson Olsen highfly ball deep out to

1:01:12 right. Skull has it just shy of the

1:01:15 wall.

1:01:16 Good poke by Jackie after being

1:01:18 serenated by Derek Clenna.

1:01:22 >> Narrowly missed an inning winning

1:01:24 two-run shot.

1:01:26 >> That is heartbreaking if you're Jackson

1:01:29 Olsson. You see, he really likes the

1:01:32 swing and the minute that ball was

1:01:34 caught. Oh my gosh.

1:01:38 >> Oh wow.

1:01:40 >> That one nearly came back to us people.

1:01:43 >> I wanted it. one of the closest

1:01:45 opportunities we've had for a foul ball

1:01:47 caught in our broadcasting careers.

1:01:50 Anyways, going back to Olsen, that guy,

1:01:53 he had his hands on his hips. So

1:01:56 disappointed that he barreled that ball

1:01:58 so well and he wasn't able to get

1:02:00 something to come out of it. Now, Robert

1:02:02 Anthony Cruz, who nearly fouled out to

1:02:06 the broadcasters,

1:02:11 lives to see more offerings from Brett

1:02:13 Helton.

1:02:15 Battle between former minor leaguers.

1:02:17 Helton, the former Pirates farm hand

1:02:20 rack, famously

1:02:22 from the Washington Nationals

1:02:25 organization. And a quick pitch floats

1:02:28 in low.

1:02:38 One, two.

1:02:41 >> Count evens up. Rack one for three

1:02:43 Friday night with that big blast. The

1:02:45 first swing he's ever taken in a game in

1:02:47 Yankee Stadium. It denied the Party

1:02:49 Animals a point in the third inning.

1:02:51 Solo shot to the seats and right. Goes

1:02:55 down swinging here.

1:02:59 Hilton. He may not like him, but he will

1:03:01 get him. His first strike out of the

1:03:02 day.

1:03:07 >> And how could Brett be upset with

1:03:09 strikeouts when he gets to do his

1:03:11 favorite dance, red light, green light,

1:03:13 with all his friends?

1:03:19 It never gets old.

1:03:31 Oh gosh, that just sends serotonin right

1:03:33 to the brain.

1:03:35 >> Nasty pitch, too. Looked like a filthy

1:03:37 two-seater. Great movement late on that

1:03:40 pitch. Robert Anthony Cruz, I mean, the

1:03:43 party animals have just kind of spammed

1:03:45 him with change up and two strike count

1:03:47 so often. I think that's what he was

1:03:48 probably expecting. Couldn't quite catch

1:03:51 up to that two seamer. So he goes down

1:03:54 and on Helton's first pitch to Danny

1:03:57 Hley, it's Loy going ahead and swiping

1:04:00 second base for the Bananas.

1:04:03 >> So the inning winning run in scoring

1:04:05 position for Danny do it all

1:04:08 >> and Hosley ahead 200.

1:04:11 And that's the thought right there. If

1:04:13 Hosley can earn the ball for Sprint here

1:04:14 for the Bananas, it certainly brings in

1:04:16 Bill Roy animals no runs in the top half

1:04:19 of the inning. This would lead to a

1:04:20 Nanner's walk-off and make it even at

1:04:23 one points a piece for both of these

1:04:25 teams.

1:04:27 Osley was 0 for two Friday night. Now

1:04:29 only one for 11 on the year,

1:04:33 but a couple ball force sprints and he

1:04:35 has not struck out yet.

1:04:39 This one lofted right side. It's going

1:04:42 to be trouble. No, Jake Skull on the run

1:04:46 saves the frame for the Party Animals.

1:04:49 And Brett Helton dabbing his way off the

1:04:51 bump and holding the one-point lead for

1:04:54 the Party Animals now through two

1:04:57 innings of action.

1:05:01 How about a journey back in time this

1:05:04 day in Banana Ball history on the 2023

1:05:08 World Tour. Jake Skull, the first player

1:05:11 in Banana Ball history to ever hit for

1:05:14 the cycle. And this was a legendary

1:05:16 drumming with the Party Animals just

1:05:19 beating the brakes off the Nanners. It

1:05:20 started with that single off Cowboy Kyle

1:05:23 in the first inning and then strutting

1:05:26 up a couple frames later with Kyle in

1:05:28 the booth. What a piece of hitting off

1:05:30 DJ the Invader. Ground roll double out

1:05:33 to left with Michael De patrolling left

1:05:35 field. Legends all over the place in

1:05:38 this one between these squads. That's

1:05:41 not a ground rule double at all. That's

1:05:42 the home run. Here's going to be your

1:05:44 triple. It's off Matt Malatesta.

1:05:48 Perfectly placed hugging the right field

1:05:50 line. That's Danny Hosley playing right.

1:05:53 And just a double away from the cycle,

1:05:55 it's Bill Lee,

1:05:58 the Red Sox and Expose legend with his

1:06:02 famous leafus.

1:06:05 No match for Skull. First pitch he saw.

1:06:09 One hopper off the wall in left center

1:06:13 and his first of his two career cycles.

1:06:16 >> I don't know. Hey, I never did it in pro

1:06:19 ball, but it feels real here.

1:06:20 >> Feels real here. Good.

1:06:21 >> Let's go.

1:06:22 >> You heard it here first, baby.

1:06:25 >> What an honor with Baba miked up to get

1:06:28 to here from Skull after that historic

1:06:30 moment.

1:06:31 >> Yeah. and Skull the on deck batter here

1:06:33 to start the top of the third inning.

1:06:35 Former Yankees farm hand at that. So

1:06:38 really cool to see things coming full

1:06:40 circle for Jake Skull and his incredible

1:06:43 major or I should say baseball career,

1:06:46 >> right? And how cool is it to see

1:06:51 both the evolution of the sport and the

1:06:53 evolution of the broadcast. Boy, we were

1:06:55 so proud of the product we produced

1:06:57 across that 2023 World Tour.

1:07:00 Looks like it was filmed on a potato

1:07:02 today.

1:07:04 >> And we loved that potato.

1:07:06 >> Yes, we did. It was very special.

1:07:07 >> Our whole hearts.

1:07:10 >> Chase Auff. Hot shot through the six

1:07:13 hole.

1:07:14 Nisnik falling behind another party

1:07:16 animal. Auff making him pay. He is now

1:07:19 one for two on the afternoon. And

1:07:22 is a board from the aforementioned

1:07:25 almighty Jake score.

1:07:32 Can't wait to see the point of view from

1:07:34 Makeup on that one. Looks like he's got

1:07:35 the camera on the helmet. Skull had the

1:07:38 RBI double to open up the scoring in the

1:07:41 first inning,

1:07:43 which now makes him three for four on

1:07:45 the series with three runs driven in.

1:07:49 >> Ball four sprint to boot as well

1:07:52 >> as the field has been invaded. I'm not

1:07:54 sure by who, but Macio and company

1:07:58 and everybody who's out there, they can

1:08:00 dance very well.

1:08:12 >> Wow. And a pitch was thrown with

1:08:14 everybody still out there boogieing.

1:08:17 >> Fast ball missed from Niznasty.

1:08:24 Not even in Jake Skull's wildest dreams

1:08:26 across seven years of minor league

1:08:28 baseball could he have ever imagined.

1:08:30 >> This is how he would hit in Yankee

1:08:33 Stadium as it's a highf fly ball. Caught

1:08:35 at the trail. Wow. That thing looked

1:08:38 like a no doubter off the bat and it

1:08:40 died. That's the second ball off a bat

1:08:44 today that has just died out there in

1:08:46 right field. I mean Jackson Olsen struck

1:08:48 well. started to die out at the very end

1:08:51 and Skulls laced even harder, but

1:08:53 Alexiotis able to run it down and you

1:08:56 see Jake Skull certainly thought that

1:08:59 was going to be a short porch bomb for

1:09:02 himself.

1:09:04 Wow, what a great moment between Skull

1:09:06 and the Bananas outside the dugout.

1:09:10 Pop to the right side. TJ Reeves has

1:09:13 Ziggler and Olsen in pursuit and Ziggy

1:09:16 can't get there. That would have been a

1:09:17 really tough play. Battling the sun over

1:09:20 the shoulder right up against the wall.

1:09:24 Pretty perfectly placed by Reeves as you

1:09:26 get another look for

1:09:30 him to get an O2 pitch now from Nisnik.

1:09:35 Bounced foul. We'll do it again.

1:09:37 Good report coming in from Sam Bowman

1:09:40 right now. Just got word from Jake Skull

1:09:43 and he said that if he'd hit that ball

1:09:45 on Friday night, it certainly would have

1:09:47 left the yard. So, just goes to show you

1:09:50 again how frustrating that the result of

1:09:53 that that was.

1:10:00 Another 02. That ball cranked. Foul.

1:10:05 Oh my goodness. Second deck power from

1:10:08 TJ Reeves. And what you really love to

1:10:11 see is even though that one a laser beam

1:10:13 off the bat of Reeves, the fans in that

1:10:15 second deck still trying to make every

1:10:17 effort to catch that foul ball for an

1:10:20 out. Doesn't quite work out. And Reeves

1:10:23 checks his swing on the O2 and Seth

1:10:26 Markham will rule it. A nope no swing.

1:10:31 no swing as we had go looks like a

1:10:35 youngster who ended up on the field and

1:10:37 Reeves plunked.

1:10:41 So TJ, what a luxury for Mike Vasis. You

1:10:45 got a guy who never even got to swing

1:10:48 the bat on Friday night. He's just

1:10:50 lurking on the bench and then he's your

1:10:51 cleanup man here on Sunday afternoon.

1:10:53 He's leading the team with his 450

1:10:56 batting average and 500 OBP.

1:11:02 Now, Brownie would have him in on base

1:11:04 percentage, but he does not have enough

1:11:06 plate appearances to be a qualified

1:11:07 hitter. When his last start on April

1:11:09 12th, Reeves had a four hit game for the

1:11:11 Animals. That certainly helped put him

1:11:13 in that position. Now, Jason Swan skies

1:11:16 this one into right field. And Ree

1:11:18 Alexis hauls it in behind the back with

1:11:22 the cape swirling behind him. And the

1:11:25 Nanners now up to five trick plays in

1:11:28 the game. And Alexiotis has an absolute

1:11:31 cannon. So no advance whatsoever from

1:11:34 Chase Aup at second base and shown it

1:11:37 off just for fun.

1:11:40 Gosh, that was an Iro Suzukiesque. That

1:11:42 were all wicked.

1:11:45 Frozen rope all the way to KJ at third.

1:11:49 Hang your clothes line on it.

1:11:53 One one to Mike Ballard and this one

1:11:56 into left field. A base hit. AOV getting

1:11:58 a stop sign. Rack, he shows off the

1:12:01 shoot all the way to Loy

1:12:04 playing a shallow left.

1:12:08 The weakest arm in the Bananas outfield,

1:12:10 but very accurate. It's not weak by

1:12:14 outfield definition. It's it's just that

1:12:16 Meadows and Alexiatis have certified

1:12:18 howitzers,

1:12:20 but Rack is not one to be trifled with

1:12:22 out there.

1:12:25 Nowhere to put Andy Cosberg.

1:12:35 >> Can the fans get Nisnik out of the jam?

1:12:37 No.

1:12:39 A ball and a strike

1:12:42 on the Party Animals DH.

1:12:45 A Dunkin Donut hitter. The fans want

1:12:47 donuts.

1:12:50 We're still a couple strikes away. It's

1:12:51 a 2-1 count now. And you got to be

1:12:53 careful if you're Nisnik. We said at top

1:12:55 of the show, Cosgrove batted 429 against

1:12:58 him last year. Had the most success of

1:13:00 any animals batter. This is certainly

1:13:03 not the situation you want to be in if

1:13:05 you're the bananas lefty. Deuces wild.

1:13:08 Swing and a miss. Nesnik goes to the off

1:13:12 speed, gets a monster strike out and

1:13:15 leaves the bases loaded.

1:13:19 What an impressive piece of pitching for

1:13:22 Noah Nisnik. Goes to that signature

1:13:24 circle change up of his to get the punch

1:13:27 out. And it's a second straight zero

1:13:30 tossed by the southpaw as it's now time

1:13:33 to go down to the field for Bananas

1:13:35 Foster family of the game.

1:14:03 And now, ladies and gentlemen, please

1:14:05 welcome to the field Keely Lamb.

1:14:09 Across the United States, there are over

1:14:12 400,000 children and teens in foster

1:14:15 care without a permanent home. Look

1:14:17 around. That's enough to fill Yankee

1:14:19 Stadium eight times with the number of

1:14:21 children currently experiencing care. To

1:14:24 raise awareness and support this

1:14:25 community, we created Bananas Foster,

1:14:28 the official nonprofit of Banana Ball.

1:14:30 Our organization is dedicated to

1:14:32 celebrating those in the foster care

1:14:34 community while educating and inspiring

1:14:36 others to get involved. Today we are

1:14:39 celebrating the star family. Charerelle

1:14:42 spent eight years in foster care right

1:14:44 here in New York City. After moving from

1:14:47 home to home throughout her time in care

1:14:49 and ultimately being reunited with her

1:14:52 mom, she decided to turn her experience

1:14:54 into advocacy as an adult. Now Star runs

1:14:58 the board for Casa NYC, wrote a memoir

1:15:02 chronicling her life through foster

1:15:04 care, and as an adoptive mom. fans,

1:15:07 please join us in celebrating this

1:15:09 amazing family for making a difference

1:15:12 right here in your community.

1:15:46 Oh boy, does that warm the heart right

1:15:48 there. That's what it's all about.

1:15:51 Shouting out the superheroes in the

1:15:53 foster care community as we will be

1:15:56 right back.

1:16:18 The world famous

1:16:20 Pepe.

1:16:36 Heat. Heat.

1:17:14 Oh man, It's nice to just get to bask in

1:17:16 the glory of the banana band

1:17:19 for YouTube purposes only.

1:17:24 >> Just soaking in the music.

1:17:38 >> You are watching Banana Ball live on the

1:17:41 Roku Sports Channel from Yankee Stadium.

1:17:44 The Party Animals a one- nothing lead

1:17:46 over the Savannah Bananas through two

1:17:48 and a half innings of action.

1:17:50 So far, Brett Helton

1:17:53 allowed an unearned run in the first,

1:17:55 but with two runs of support, turned

1:17:58 that into a point and blank the bananas

1:18:01 in the second. Ryan Cox, the greatest 10

1:18:04 hitter in the history of banana ball. A

1:18:05 ball and a strike on the man in his

1:18:08 fifth world tour out of Alequipa,

1:18:10 Pennsylvania.

1:18:12 Known as the glove magician, boy, he has

1:18:14 turned into the wizard with the wand.

1:18:16 Came into the weekend hitting 400.

1:18:18 That's pretty remarkable in itself as

1:18:20 you could see right there as he shoots

1:18:22 this up the middle. His counterpart

1:18:23 Chase Auff having trouble getting it

1:18:25 between the legs and then the throw is

1:18:27 low.

1:18:29 And it took over 12 games, but Akuff

1:18:33 finally has his first trick play

1:18:36 in 2026. That was his 24th attempt of

1:18:39 the year. Yeah. Just struggled with the

1:18:41 transition. You saw it caught up for so

1:18:44 long having those hands through his

1:18:46 knees trying to dig the banana ball out

1:18:48 of his glove and in the end rush the

1:18:50 throw came in on a hop to Jason Swan.

1:18:53 Tough rim to scoop and Coxy able to

1:18:56 reach to lead off this third inning as

1:18:58 Dr. Meadows is now up who grounded out

1:19:01 to short his first time up.

1:19:14 >> Bouncing ball. Bloomer. There's one at

1:19:16 second. Ballard to first. Jason Swan

1:19:19 behind the back. A double play with a

1:19:21 trick play to flourish it from the party

1:19:23 animals. And they're trying to keep

1:19:26 themselves in this trick play battle.

1:19:28 That is for sure. And Meadows again not

1:19:31 hustling down the line super well. Not

1:19:33 at 100%. Animals had a lot of time to

1:19:37 try and get that throw over to first

1:19:39 base. And Swany saw every reason to try

1:19:43 and catch that one behind his back. Did

1:19:45 so successfully. And now the Animals two

1:19:48 trick plays today in Yankee Stadium. And

1:19:51 that erases the trick play missed that

1:19:53 started the inning

1:19:56 as Auff another opportunity. There he

1:19:58 goes between the legs. Offline though

1:20:00 when it rains it pours. Son of a gun.

1:20:03 This is the 13th game of the year for

1:20:05 the party animals. He was 23 for his

1:20:08 first 23 trick play tries. O for his

1:20:11 last two.

1:20:13 You just never know.

1:20:16 But you can get in your head as an

1:20:18 infielder. That's for sure. I mean,

1:20:20 that's why you've seen guys, infielders,

1:20:22 pitchers develop the yips over the

1:20:24 years. Something nobody wants to have

1:20:26 happen. But Akuff, you know, probably

1:20:29 just trying to overcorrect a little too

1:20:31 much. And that's what leads to another

1:20:33 trick play missed.

1:20:36 Here's Max Young Goldberg.

1:20:40 Whiffs on the change up behind O2.

1:20:45 sackfly his first time as the Nanners

1:20:49 fell short in the first inning. Squibs

1:20:51 this foul will do another 02. Drake Tol

1:20:54 gobbles it up in foul territory

1:20:56 offcreen.

1:20:58 It's a little radio broadcast for you

1:21:00 there. Tol with the perm as he's been

1:21:03 known to do. That is one silly rap

1:21:06 scallion.

1:21:10 I think he landed in LaGuardia around

1:21:12 600 p.m. Friday night. somehow ended up

1:21:14 at Yankee Stadium like a half hour

1:21:16 later.

1:21:22 The busiest man in showbiz.

1:21:26 >> Second deck not caught. Golden

1:21:28 opportunity right through the hands.

1:21:31 >> They call that the power of New York

1:21:33 City public transportation.

1:21:37 >> Some of the best in the world if you

1:21:39 know how to navigate it.

1:21:42 swing and a miss. The change up for

1:21:45 another strike out from Helton and he

1:21:48 has been fantastic through three

1:21:50 scoreless. Not only the change up, but

1:21:52 it's Helton mixing up the arm angles as

1:21:54 well with Max Young Goldberg dropping

1:21:56 down and taking a little bit extra off

1:21:59 the change as well. And Young Goldberg

1:22:02 not able to slow down enough with that

1:22:04 one in the strike zone. And it's two

1:22:06 punch outs today for the right-hander.

1:22:09 I'd be pretty surprised if that was

1:22:13 >> more than 60 miles an hour dancing in

1:22:18 >> Helen a veteran in every regard. Four

1:22:21 years in the Pittsburgh Pirates

1:22:22 organization,

1:22:26 >> five more years in independent

1:22:28 professional baseball before coming to

1:22:30 Banana Land. And now we're about to have

1:22:32 ourselves a heck of a performance. Who's

1:22:34 our special guest here this Sunday?

1:22:41 split.

1:22:43 >> He's here at every game.

1:22:50 >> The Jets are going to have their day

1:22:53 tonight.

1:22:55 The Jets are going to have their way

1:22:57 tonight.

1:22:59 >> The party animals grumble. Fair fight.

1:23:02 But if they start a rumble, we'll rumble

1:23:04 them right.

1:23:07 going to hand them a surprise tonight.

1:23:11 We're going to cut them down to size

1:23:13 tonight.

1:23:16 We said, "Okay, no rice, no twist, but

1:23:18 just in case they jump us, we're ready

1:23:20 to

1:23:25 rock it tonight. We're going to jazz it

1:23:27 up and have a

1:23:31 We're going to get it tonight." the more

1:23:32 they turn it on the harder.

1:23:37 Will they be it? Will they be it? And

1:23:39 we're the ones to stop once

1:23:42 tonight.

1:23:50 I don't want to talk

1:23:54 about things we've gone through.

1:23:57 Though it's hurt me.

1:24:02 history.

1:24:05 I played all my cards

1:24:09 and that's what you've done to

1:24:13 nothing more to say.

1:24:17 No more ace to play.

1:24:20 The gods lay through all the

1:24:24 minds as cold as ice.

1:24:28 Spectators of the show,

1:24:32 always staying low.

1:24:36 The winner takes it all.

1:24:40 The loser standing small.

1:24:44 It's simple and it's play.

1:24:48 Why should I complain?

1:24:56 I don't want to.

1:24:59 cuz it makes me feel sad

1:25:03 and I understand.

1:25:07 You've come to shake my head.

1:25:11 I apologize

1:25:15 if it makes you feel bad

1:25:19 seeing me so tense.

1:25:22 No self-confidence.

1:25:25 But you see the winner takes it all.

1:25:37 >> It

1:25:42 the game is on again.

1:25:46 A lover or a friend.

1:25:49 A big thing or a small.

1:25:53 The winner takes it all.

1:26:00 The winner takes it.

1:26:16 Give it up for Ben.

1:26:22 Holy moly.

1:26:24 >> You want to talk about pipes,

1:26:27 Ben Platt?

1:26:31 You ought to be a pretty darn talented

1:26:34 singer and actor to win a Tony Award for

1:26:37 best actor in a musical. Did that for

1:26:40 Dear Evan Hansen in 2022.

1:26:47 What a performance. You know, when we

1:26:50 write and release Split, the musical,

1:26:52 which follows a young banana's journey

1:26:54 to becoming the strongest mascot in

1:26:56 sports,

1:26:56 >> right? I hear that Ben Platt's actually,

1:26:59 you know, the first choice to play the

1:27:01 king of potassium. Can't wait to see

1:27:03 what role Kyle Luig plays.

1:27:07 >> Probably earned one across his nine

1:27:08 years here in Banana Land. Good to see

1:27:12 Cowboy Kyle

1:27:15 a day after his 28th birthday.

1:27:20 Luigi's first out of the pen

1:27:22 >> and tossed two scoreless innings here

1:27:24 last year in Yankee Stadium. Collected

1:27:27 three strikeouts, induced a fan caught

1:27:30 foul ball as well. So had a lot of

1:27:32 success here in 2025.

1:27:35 But a very interesting note on Cowboy

1:27:38 Kyle in his 2026 campaign. Four of the

1:27:42 six earned runs that he has allowed this

1:27:44 season have come in day games. So, this

1:27:48 has been somewhat of a tricky position

1:27:51 for Cowboy Kyle this season. Tanner

1:27:54 Thomas

1:27:56 takes the off speed below the knees.

1:28:00 8 n and 10 in the animals lineup

1:28:04 as Tanner is ahead 20. Strikeout victim

1:28:07 his first time. One of three Ks that

1:28:10 Noah Nisnik had on his afternoon.

1:28:16 as the slider gets back in the count.

1:28:20 Ball home on deck. Bloomer in the hole.

1:28:24 Transfer the fans not caught. Nice snag

1:28:27 on the ricochet though by that fella.

1:28:36 entertainment.

1:28:45 >> And now it's going to be a 3-2

1:28:48 between these two banana ball vets. That

1:28:51 ball blasted out to right center. It'll

1:28:54 be extra bases for Tanner Thomas. Ty

1:28:57 Jackson freshly inserted into the game

1:29:00 defensively here for the fourth inning.

1:29:03 fires it in as it's a leadoff double.

1:29:06 >> Yeah, the Bananas have opted to make

1:29:08 some adjustments with their outfield

1:29:10 defensively. Dr. Meadows, it appears,

1:29:13 has come out of this game. Ty Jackson

1:29:15 inserted in his place. So, he takes over

1:29:18 in right field and the Bananas have

1:29:20 moved their starting right fielder,

1:29:21 Reese Alexi, into center for the

1:29:24 remainder of this game.

1:29:28 >> Switch in catcher, Bronson Ballome, a

1:29:31 fan favorite.

1:29:35 for a plethora of reasons, but chief

1:29:37 among them as nice a human being as you

1:29:39 will ever find here in his third world

1:29:41 tour.

1:29:42 And boy, he has been fantastic hitting

1:29:45 400, reaching base at a 545 clip as you

1:29:48 get a look at the Bananas defensive

1:29:50 adjustments here in the fourth inning.

1:29:52 Back to Kyle Lewigs. He's going to throw

1:29:55 behind Tanner Thomas who's now in a

1:29:57 pickle.

1:29:59 Cox hands it off to KJ. And a good job

1:30:01 by Tanner staying alive long enough to

1:30:03 get Bronny up to second as he is finally

1:30:06 tagged out by Cox.

1:30:09 And Tanner did his job. And that's the

1:30:12 smart play. If you're Bronson ball home,

1:30:14 you see guys engaged in a rundown for

1:30:16 that long. You just go ahead and make

1:30:19 yourself or get yourself into scoring

1:30:21 position. From there, it certainly puts

1:30:24 Tanner in a very tricky situation, but

1:30:27 you trade the out. You still get the

1:30:29 same guy standing at second base

1:30:31 nonetheless.

1:30:33 Bender for strike one to Bryson Bloomer.

1:30:41 >> Ball in a strike on the Boomer. Reached

1:30:43 on a trick play missed by Olsen his

1:30:45 first time.

1:30:51 And make it a two-1 count as Mark Smith

1:30:54 has taken over for Bronny at second.

1:30:56 Second time the Animals have used their

1:30:58 designated runner this afternoon.

1:31:06 >> And a dangerous 3-1 coming to Bloomer.

1:31:09 Ball four will score Smith easily from

1:31:11 second.

1:31:18 >> And the Slatter gets the bottom of the

1:31:21 zone. Runs the count full.

1:31:27 swing and a miss.

1:31:29 Right back to the breaking ball. And

1:31:32 what a bounce back for the strike out

1:31:34 from Cowboy Kyle.

1:31:37 And that's a pretty storied rivalry.

1:31:40 Cowboy Kyle facing off against Bryson

1:31:43 Bloomer. And a majority of the time that

1:31:45 you've seen Cowboy Kyle collect those

1:31:47 punch outs against the party animals

1:31:50 third baseman, it has come on that

1:31:52 slider out of the hand of Luig.

1:31:55 Excellent 32 pitch and both he and Loy

1:31:58 had the benefit of facing off against

1:32:00 Bloomer since 2023

1:32:04 and being teammates with Bloomer in 2021

1:32:07 as collegiate bananas.

1:32:13 Back to the top of the order. That was a

1:32:15 pretty good looking pitch. Luig does not

1:32:17 get the strike call from Trey Hudson. So

1:32:20 200 on Reese Hampton.

1:32:24 Ball four sprint came around to score

1:32:26 one of those two runs in the first

1:32:28 inning and then popped out to second in

1:32:30 the fourth.

1:32:34 Oh, Jesse Cole. Good job from the replay

1:32:38 crew. Oh, redemption. Jesse feels it

1:32:40 perfectly.

1:32:43 >> What a job by Big Yellow.

1:32:46 >> Boom, baby. Anybody want to watch the

1:32:48 man in the yellow tux feel the banana

1:32:50 ball?

1:32:54 >> Wow.

1:32:56 Maybe you can't make it up.

1:32:58 >> Jesse was ready again. I mean, that one

1:33:00 that one was nowhere in his range, but

1:33:02 you saw he was down and ready.

1:33:08 Another

1:33:10 two- two

1:33:12 >> past Ziggler into right field. Smith

1:33:14 getting the wave around. Ty Jackson's

1:33:16 throw is going to be on a couple hops

1:33:19 and well late.

1:33:21 Reese Hampton in the clutch. A two out

1:33:24 knock to bring in Smith. And the Animals

1:33:27 putting some pressure on here in the

1:33:28 fourth.

1:33:30 And he has put together a killer April

1:33:33 for the Animals. Now 10 runs batted in

1:33:36 this month for the boys in black and

1:33:38 pink celebrating to some DVO.

1:33:43 Crack that whip.

1:33:48 All time banger.

1:33:51 >> All time music video slip. I Yeah, all

1:33:54 time music video.

1:33:56 >> That's a wild one.

1:33:58 >> Reese Hampton

1:34:01 >> 10 of his 12 runs batted in. this year

1:34:04 have come in April

1:34:07 as Chase Auff is looking to add some

1:34:09 insurance.

1:34:13 And he will float that one into right

1:34:16 for a base knock. Hampton will go

1:34:17 station to station with the throw right

1:34:19 behind him from Tai

1:34:23 Auff. His second base knock across the

1:34:26 last two innings. He's two for three on

1:34:27 the day. Couple ducks on the pond for

1:34:31 Jake Skull. RBI double his first time

1:34:33 and then thought he had himself a

1:34:36 two-run homer in the third. It died on

1:34:38 the warning track

1:34:41 down the right field line.

1:34:50 And a ball in a strike on the 2010

1:34:53 firstrounder.

1:35:02 Is Shark playing an AI Jake Skull song

1:35:04 right now?

1:35:08 >> Am I crazy?

1:35:11 >> Are you listening to the lyrics? Is that

1:35:13 why you

1:35:15 >> Yes.

1:35:17 >> Oh my gosh. What are we doing? Is this a

1:35:21 Steve Kellogg special?

1:35:23 >> Wow. The Godfather shout out

1:35:28 >> with his theme song that I'm hearing for

1:35:30 the first time in my life playing Jake

1:35:32 Skull Strikes Out. Cutter from Cowboy

1:35:34 Kyle to strand a pair, but the Party

1:35:37 Animals do push a run across in the

1:35:39 fourth. Sharks about to get a message.

1:35:41 Never play that again. Big punch out

1:35:44 from Cowboy Kyle, but another run on the

1:35:46 board for the Animals.

1:36:01 all the way around the stadium cuz we're

1:36:04 going to get the biggest Hey baby we've

1:36:07 ever done here in New York. So, let's

1:36:09 get those hands up in the air. Here we

1:36:12 go.

1:36:14 Get those hands clap.

1:36:19 You guys look good.

1:36:25 Now get those arms waving. Here we go.

1:36:39 >> Keep it going. Get those hands up. Here

1:36:42 we go.

1:36:54 Now let's shuffle to the side. Keeping

1:36:56 clapping.

1:37:08 Let me hear you sing it.

1:37:22 One more time.

1:37:23 >> Hey, baby O' Clock here in the middle of

1:37:25 the fourth inning in Yankee Stadium.

1:37:28 Over 46,000 fans out of their seats

1:37:31 moving it and grooving it with Jesse

1:37:33 Cole and the crew as the Party Animals

1:37:36 lead one point to nothing and have put a

1:37:39 run on the board for the first time

1:37:41 since they won that first inning.

1:37:44 They've got a chance to double their

1:37:45 lead in points. It's going to take

1:37:47 another goose egg from Brett Helton who

1:37:49 has been fantastic across three

1:37:52 scoreless innings

1:37:55 and has picked up his defense as well.

1:37:59 Two trick plays missed behind him in the

1:38:02 third inning. No harm, no foul.

1:38:05 It's four, five, and six due to swing it

1:38:07 against Helton Oburst, KJ and Loy here

1:38:11 in the last of the fourth. Well, this is

1:38:13 very much kind of what we talked about

1:38:16 the top of the show when we were

1:38:17 focusing on Helton and Nisnik's numbers

1:38:19 when they start against one another.

1:38:21 Helton in 13 career starts and allowed

1:38:24 75 hits, but he's pitched around all of

1:38:27 those base runners incredibly

1:38:29 successfully. And it wasn't hits that

1:38:31 hurt Helton in the third inning, but

1:38:33 those trick plays missed nonetheless. He

1:38:35 is so good at knowing exactly how to

1:38:37 execute when guys are on the bases.

1:38:44 No balls in two strikes on Dan Oburst.

1:38:47 There's been traffic every single inning

1:38:49 against Helton. Dan's been a part of

1:38:51 that. Singled his first time.

1:38:54 And as the tying run in the frame was

1:38:57 stranded on first to end the first.

1:39:14 Breaking ball just misses a bit up and

1:39:17 out to even up the count on Ober.

1:39:26 And from an 02 count to three balls in

1:39:29 two strikes on the Banana's designated

1:39:31 hitter. Originally from Long Island, New

1:39:34 York, since he was eight years old,

1:39:36 Largo, Florida has been home.

1:39:39 But a lot of family still here in the

1:39:41 Empire State. A homecoming of sorts for

1:39:43 Dan.

1:39:52 He's been making the most of it so far.

1:39:54 Two for five on the weekend.

1:39:57 >> Three runs driven in

1:40:00 >> as he fouls that straight back.

1:40:03 Look, Ober's not a guy who you're going

1:40:04 to see draw a lot of ball for sprints,

1:40:07 but you see the way in which he's

1:40:09 battling here against Brett Helton after

1:40:11 the banana ball open. Reese Miller said

1:40:13 that was the toughest part about having

1:40:14 to face Dan Ober. The way that he

1:40:16 battles at the plate. He really makes

1:40:18 you work. And Oburst on pitch number

1:40:21 eight will get this past Chase Aka and

1:40:25 up the middle into center field. A

1:40:27 leadoff knock for Danny Barrels. And

1:40:30 fascinating pinch run for by Brace Gafi

1:40:35 for a second time today. Dance four for

1:40:38 four on the year in stolen bases. One of

1:40:39 the best base steelers in the history of

1:40:41 the sport. Maybe not 100%.

1:40:45 As far as his legs, hadn't heard

1:40:47 anything about it, but hey, let's forget

1:40:50 about that for now and focus on Kyle

1:40:51 Jackson who has something very special

1:40:53 for us.

1:41:33 Give me the smooth groove.

1:41:55 She was more

1:41:58 I said no matter what you

1:42:11 me what you do

1:42:15 bringing you girls.

1:42:18 Mama always mess

1:42:28 my

1:42:35 but

1:42:38 myself.

1:42:56 She says

1:43:07 >> escorted by Matt Martinez. Score of the

1:43:11 Jimmy the musical.

1:43:13 And finally,

1:43:20 >> oh my lanta.

1:43:24 Wow. This has been an absurd three and a

1:43:28 half innings of banana ball.

1:43:31 Matt Martinez. What a talent. Holy moly.

1:43:38 >> KJ knifes this one into the second deck.

1:43:41 Not caught by the fans.

1:43:53 And a check on Gresafi over at first

1:43:56 base who's been stupendous as the

1:43:58 Banana's designated runner. 10 run

1:44:00 score, 10 for 11 in his stolen base

1:44:03 tries

1:44:06 since taking over for JT Sakalov. Tough

1:44:09 play here for Bloomer and he clangs it.

1:44:12 Fair ball. It bounced off Bloomer in

1:44:14 fair territory.

1:44:16 Andrew Fgerio, the left field umpire,

1:44:19 right on top of it. Would have been an

1:44:21 astounding catch if Bryson could have

1:44:23 come away with it.

1:44:26 Instead, a bloop single for Kyle

1:44:28 Jackson. Yeah, such a tough play for

1:44:31 Bryson Bloomer to have to make there.

1:44:34 Having to feel that over his shoulder. I

1:44:35 mean, that would be a brutal, I mean,

1:44:38 absolutely brutal error. Instead, you

1:44:41 just chalk it up to one of those soft

1:44:43 exit below knocks. It works out for Kyle

1:44:47 Jackson and the bananas now threatening

1:44:48 against Helton. A heck of a battle by

1:44:51 Ober to open up the frame on the ninth

1:44:53 pitch. He singled up the middle and then

1:44:55 KJ put the ball in play. Good things

1:44:57 happened. Inning winning run on first

1:45:01 as that one just misses and it's a two-

1:45:04 count. on Bill Loy. Trey Hudson telling

1:45:07 Hton that was just a tad up

1:45:11 >> and Helton trying to tell Trey that Bill

1:45:13 Loy ducked it.

1:45:20 >> Fouled straight back. Boy, Bill was

1:45:22 trying to not this game up in one fell

1:45:24 swoop. Went fastball hunting 20 for good

1:45:28 reason. and Brett Helton, a guy who

1:45:30 loves to stay in the zone, one of the

1:45:33 most prolific pitchers when it comes to

1:45:36 the least amount of ball force sprints

1:45:38 allowed in our sports history. And now

1:45:41 Helton coming up with the 2-1 delivery

1:45:47 with a 3-1 count now. Ball four will

1:45:50 guarantee Graafi scores from second. And

1:45:52 you need crisp sprint defense. KJ can

1:45:55 fly over at first. Any mistakes on a

1:45:57 sprint, he could score the inning.

1:45:58 Winning run.

1:46:06 >> Full count with no outs and two men

1:46:10 aboard here in the bottom of the fourth.

1:46:15 Billy Barrels a single his first time.

1:46:20 Watches this one out to right center.

1:46:24 Hampton tracks it down as Gafi will tag

1:46:27 and head to third. Productive

1:46:31 >> out there from Bill Loy. Moving the

1:46:33 inning tying run 90 ft closer with just

1:46:36 one out now. And very smart base running

1:46:39 from Bryce Grizzafi once he saw Hampton

1:46:42 settling under that banana ball.

1:46:44 Immediately went back to that second

1:46:46 base bag and was ready to tag up and

1:46:49 advance to third base. Now guys on the

1:46:51 corners for Olsen 0 for one but struck

1:46:54 his first ball incredibly well the first

1:46:57 time up. Much like Jake Skull in the top

1:47:02 of the third inning. Jackie in the

1:47:03 bottom of the second thought he had

1:47:04 himself a Yankee Stadium home run.

1:47:07 Fell just short of it.

1:47:12 >> KJ bouncing off first and gar some

1:47:15 attention from Helman.

1:47:21 Did they just get

1:47:28 >> bender?

1:47:30 No balls at two strikes.

1:47:36 Helton hunting a strike out. It would be

1:47:39 massive here.

1:47:42 >> There it is. Brett Hton coming through

1:47:46 in the clutch. with his third K on the

1:47:49 day.

1:47:51 >> Yeah, frustration certainly mounting for

1:47:53 Jackson Olsson

1:47:55 after that strike out. Two for his last

1:47:59 29 at the dish for the Savannah Bananas.

1:48:03 And again, you tag a ball so well your

1:48:05 first time up, you can't see anything

1:48:07 come out of that. Things just start to

1:48:09 compound more and more. Not only do you

1:48:11 know you're in a bit of a slump, but

1:48:12 feels like even when you do get Goodwood

1:48:14 on the ball. Can't find any success.

1:48:19 Another check on Kyle Jackson.

1:48:22 01 count on Robert Anthony Cruz. The

1:48:25 fate of the frame in his hands. Runners

1:48:27 on the corners. Two outs. Party animals

1:48:29 lead the inning by a run. There goes KJ

1:48:32 as it's fouled back. And once again,

1:48:35 just out of the reach of Josh TKI.

1:48:38 You know, I was trying to get up on the

1:48:40 desk earlier to see how I could how I

1:48:42 could position myself to make a play. It

1:48:45 still wouldn't have worked there. Oh my

1:48:47 gosh. I got to get back down now.

1:48:54 02

1:48:56 from Helton to Cruz.

1:48:59 Flipped deep down the left field line

1:49:01 and it will end up foul and knock off by

1:49:04 the fans.

1:49:17 Melton still in the driver's seat.

1:49:21 One strike away

1:49:24 from doubling the lead for the party

1:49:25 animals. There goes KJ again and the

1:49:28 bender low. Ball homem will throw

1:49:29 through. Grizz coming home. A throw

1:49:33 in time.

1:49:35 Chase Auff wins the inning for the party

1:49:38 animals. They lead two nothing.

1:49:43 Bananas trying to utilize coach Gillum's

1:49:46 green light special base running system

1:49:49 and it backfires on them here in the

1:49:51 fourth inning. Tremendous heads up play

1:49:54 from Chase Aup immediately firing home

1:49:57 to gun down Grisappi and put the Animals

1:50:01 up multiple points. Wow, let's get it

1:50:03 down to Jesse Cole.

1:50:06 >> The world's slowest race. We have Leia,

1:50:09 Olive, Payeyton, Jake, Naomi, Tyler,

1:50:12 Joey, Norman, Sophia, and Lucy if you're

1:50:14 keeping track at home. And we're going

1:50:16 to see who is the fastest baby. Babies,

1:50:19 on your mark, get set, go.

1:50:24 The world's slowest race in front of

1:50:27 over 46,000 fans in Yankee Stadium. 10

1:50:30 babies are on the infield grass. One of

1:50:34 them actually on the infield dirt and

1:50:36 nobody making a move early on in this

1:50:38 race. Their parents begging for a

1:50:42 victory from their young superstar

1:50:46 and everybody just chilling,

1:50:51 grabbing some grass, sitting down and

1:50:53 there we go. Okay, the motor going for

1:50:57 two of our tots and that's the wrong

1:50:59 direction.

1:51:02 Oh no,

1:51:05 some tears on the far side and from

1:51:08 Kester on the grass to crawling around

1:51:11 but going backwards.

1:51:13 Oh, you hate to see any tears in banana

1:51:15 land.

1:51:20 >> Wow. How about that baby just reaching

1:51:21 out?

1:51:23 It's got to be terrifying in front of

1:51:26 over 46,000 fans.

1:51:29 Everyone screaming, hoping for you to do

1:51:32 something. But what are you supposed to

1:51:33 do? No one was clear about the

1:51:36 guidelines. All the babies just staying

1:51:38 put.

1:51:43 Everyone hanging out on the grass.

1:51:46 Nobody doing much of anything in the

1:51:48 world's slowest race. 10 babies just

1:51:51 lounging around and if anything

1:51:52 >> Oh no,

1:51:53 >> moving the wrong way.

1:51:54 >> Oh no, we've got another baby on the

1:51:57 dirt.

1:52:00 We've got babies meeting each other for

1:52:02 the first time.

1:52:04 Let's hope we don't get a rhubarb

1:52:06 between these two.

1:52:09 And here we go on the far side. There is

1:52:12 some movement. There she goes. One hand

1:52:15 in front of the other. So close yet so

1:52:18 far away. All she has to do is take a

1:52:23 couple more crawls and reach out to

1:52:25 touch the finish line. Oh, she is so

1:52:28 close. And there's a scooter. There's a

1:52:30 scooter coming up behind her. It's tight

1:52:32 at the end. Both babies are crying.

1:52:35 Who's going to win?

1:52:37 There's a victory. Oh my goodness

1:52:40 gracious. Drake told what just happened.

1:52:43 Child glory.

1:52:46 Say hi.

1:52:47 >> What a moment. What an opportunity.

1:52:52 >> Speechless.

1:53:00 A baby of few words.

1:53:03 Is a quiet champion right there. What do

1:53:06 you think the car rides home look like

1:53:08 for all of the babies who compete in

1:53:10 these races? Like what do mom and dad

1:53:13 say to you about, you know, the

1:53:14 performance? It's like when you used to

1:53:16 drive home with your dad after a

1:53:17 baseball game. You guys would talk

1:53:19 through it and everything,

1:53:20 >> right?

1:53:22 >> It definitely depends on the parent as

1:53:25 our producer Chad Reese nearly falls off

1:53:28 of his little stand behind us. That ball

1:53:31 high and deep to left. TJ Reeves.

1:53:35 A flight of passage.

1:53:38 His first career banana ball home runs

1:53:41 in Yankee Stadium.

1:53:45 Reeves staying hot after four hits in

1:53:48 his last start for the boys in black and

1:53:51 pink. It's TJ leaving the yard for the

1:53:55 first time in 2026.

1:53:58 A big blast for the Animals rookie who's

1:54:01 with Drake to

1:54:03 >> TJ the rookie in Yankee Stadium. How do

1:54:05 you draw that up?

1:54:06 >> I don't know. I mean, I just saw a good

1:54:07 pitch, put a good swing on it, it went.

1:54:10 >> It's that easy. Did you hear that? It's

1:54:11 that easy.

1:54:17 It was only a matter of time for the

1:54:19 pride of Birmingham, Alabama.

1:54:22 Talked about TJ's story before, but

1:54:25 moonlighted as a party animal in

1:54:27 September of 2023 in Milwaukee,

1:54:29 Wisconsin.

1:54:32 Had a great series. Got his first career

1:54:33 banana ball hit off stilts. Got a knock

1:54:35 in the ninth off Danny Hosley.

1:54:39 the 2024 Frontier League Rookie of the

1:54:42 Year with the Florence Yaws as Jason

1:54:44 Swan bounces into a double trick play.

1:54:47 Cox to Ziggler. The Keystone State

1:54:49 connection once again as the Bananas

1:54:52 have a five trick play lead trying to

1:54:54 fend off the equalizer point.

1:54:57 >> Yeah, 7 to2 right now. Five trick play

1:55:00 advantage looks pretty nice for the

1:55:03 Savannah Bananas. But again, they've got

1:55:05 to continue to try and slow down these

1:55:07 animals bats.

1:55:09 continuing to put up runs against the

1:55:13 Manners pitching staff. And now Mike

1:55:15 Vasis

1:55:17 grew up a Yankees fan gets himself a

1:55:20 pinch hit opportunity here today and

1:55:23 hacks at the first pitch. This one

1:55:26 is going to land in foul territory out

1:55:29 of play. So VA will get another life.

1:55:32 Good evasive maneuvers by Noah Catz down

1:55:34 the right field line. able to dodge the

1:55:37 banana ball and make the foul call in

1:55:39 one fell swoop.

1:55:42 First plate appearance of World Tour

1:55:44 number six for Mike Bevesis.

1:55:47 An original 2021 One City World Tour

1:55:50 party animal

1:55:53 in the heartbeat of the franchise.

1:55:58 The man who sets the standard with his

1:55:59 best friend Shan Fluke recording.

1:56:02 >> Vava spoiling the two- strike offering.

1:56:07 And of course, the battles with Cowboy

1:56:09 Kyle are historic.

1:56:13 >> Go back to Vava's home run in Coopertown

1:56:15 in 2023. But this time, Luig wins the

1:56:20 round. Freezes with the fast ball. Now

1:56:24 coming to pitch from the US women's

1:56:28 national baseball team and the number

1:56:31 one draft pick in the women's

1:56:34 professional baseball league, Kelsey

1:56:37 Whitmore.

1:56:52 The fans fired up, rightfully so, to see

1:56:56 Kelsey Whitmore, one of the most

1:56:58 talented women in the history of

1:56:59 baseball here in her second World Tour.

1:57:03 And she has been perfect here in 2026.

1:57:06 Seven batters faced, seven retired,

1:57:10 and she has punched out three of them.

1:57:12 That's come up three strikeouts, a

1:57:14 ground out, and three fly outs from

1:57:16 Kelsey Whitmore. And this entire time,

1:57:20 an opponent still hasn't struck a ball

1:57:22 hard against her. It's been either

1:57:24 strikeout or soft contact for Whitmore,

1:57:27 who has proven why she was that number

1:57:29 one overall pick in the women's

1:57:32 professional baseball league draft. The

1:57:34 resume is ridiculous. He's been on the

1:57:37 women's national baseball team since

1:57:39 2014

1:57:47 and has been in professional baseball

1:57:50 since 2016.

1:57:52 That ball hit well by Andy Cosgrove.

1:57:54 What a leaping catch. Robert Anthony

1:57:57 Cruz takes a knock away from Cosgrove.

1:58:00 Kelsey, eight batters faced, eight

1:58:02 retired this year. There's the first

1:58:04 one. Struck well. Nonetheless, whack a

1:58:07 tremendous play. Animals still up a run

1:58:09 in the fifth.

1:58:45 Heat. Heat.

1:59:18 Heat. Heat.

1:59:41 Welcome back to Banana Ball live from

1:59:43 Yankee Stadium. Over 46,000 fans on hand

1:59:47 and I'd wager a couple hundred pigeons

1:59:49 as well. Our dear friends here in the

1:59:53 city so nice they named it twice. New

1:59:55 York. New York.

1:59:58 Wonderful creatures. Pigeons. Makes me

2:00:00 realize we got to get Mike Tyson to be

2:00:03 our next special guest in a banana ball

2:00:05 game. That's a guy who loves some

2:00:07 pigeons.

2:00:10 It's Rack,

2:00:12 Hosley, and Cox. Bottom three in the

2:00:14 order as Jake Leios

2:00:19 >> is the first party animal out of the

2:00:21 pen.

2:00:24 And after one pitch, he's already

2:00:25 dancing.

2:00:27 Robert Anthony Cruz highfly ball foul.

2:00:37 had the big third inning

2:00:39 tying home run on Friday night.

2:00:45 One for one with a strikeout this

2:00:46 afternoon.

2:00:48 Squaring off against Lealios, the kid

2:00:50 out of Tucson, Arizona

2:00:54 here in his fourth tour.

2:01:00 It's a high spin rate fast ball. He'll

2:01:02 throw a ton of them. 126 curve change up

2:01:04 and some cutters will be mixed in as

2:01:06 well.

2:01:10 And a swing and a miss. Nasty change up

2:01:14 and more boogieing from Lealios and his

2:01:17 battery mate

2:01:21 as he's looking to put another point on

2:01:23 the board for the party animals. Good

2:01:25 start to his afternoon.

2:01:30 He's long had great numbers against

2:01:33 or Jake Lealius has long had great

2:01:35 numbers against the Savannah Bananas.

2:01:37 Unfortunately off to a little bit of a

2:01:39 shaky start here in 2026. Three ball

2:01:42 force sprints allowed a home run that he

2:01:44 surrendered as well. But certainly a

2:01:47 good start for Lealios who's got to be

2:01:49 feeling confident when he sees yellow

2:01:51 uniforms.

2:01:56 Hosley

2:01:58 banging that one off the third deck.

2:02:02 Souvenir for that youngster

2:02:04 legendary

2:02:07 Danny do it all a fly out to right his

2:02:09 first time.

2:02:12 Gives the fans another chance and that's

2:02:14 caught. Beautiful bare-handed catch in

2:02:17 the second deck to take care of Danny

2:02:20 Hosley.

2:02:22 Second fan caught foul ball in this

2:02:24 series for the folks in Yankee Stadium.

2:02:28 Beautiful catch by that fella.

2:02:30 >> Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion.

2:02:34 Please welcome Russell Wilson.

2:02:59 What a full circle moment for Russell

2:03:02 Wilson. Played for Jesse Kohl's

2:03:06 summer college baseball team in 2009,

2:03:09 the Gastonia Grizzlies.

2:03:12 And now he suits up as a Savannah

2:03:15 Banana.

2:03:17 And you take a look at the resume.

2:03:20 Known for his prowess on the grid iron,

2:03:22 but an unreal baseball player, certified

2:03:25 by that fourthround draft pick from the

2:03:27 Rockies back in 2010. That was only

2:03:29 three rounds after Jake was selected in

2:03:31 that draft.

2:03:33 >> Yeah, pretty star-studded draft when you

2:03:35 really think about it, especially in

2:03:37 this banana ball context. And how about

2:03:39 Russ hacking early against Leios.

2:03:45 Broken bat. Jason Swan fields it between

2:03:48 the legs. Flip to Leios. Nearly a

2:03:51 collision with Russell Wilson at first.

2:03:54 A trick play for Swan.

2:04:00 And what a cool moment. Banana ball

2:04:03 debut for Russ.

2:04:05 >> And Mr. Unlimited bounces out to first.

2:04:07 Another look.

2:04:09 at the broken bat.

2:04:10 >> Trick play for Swan.

2:04:12 >> Look out, Jake.

2:04:14 >> That's a big boy barreling in.

2:04:21 >> Let's get it down to SB for

2:04:22 >> a second.

2:04:23 >> Yes. Yes.

2:04:24 >> Hey, B Josh. Yeah. Still getting high

2:04:26 fives in here. Russ outfield stepping up

2:04:28 to the plate at the bat. Maybe did you

2:04:30 No, no help there, but liked it out

2:04:32 still.

2:04:33 >> It was fun, man. Just being Yankee

2:04:34 Stadium. Savannah Bananas. I've known

2:04:36 Jesse since I was 19 years old. He calls

2:04:38 me. He's like, "Hey, you got to get in

2:04:39 the bat in Yankee Stadium." I was like,

2:04:41 "Heck yeah, let's go."

2:04:42 >> Now, we've seen you in the MLB draft,

2:04:43 NFL draft. Any chance we catch you in

2:04:45 the Banana Ball draft, maybe in the

2:04:46 future?

2:04:47 >> Who knows? Who knows, man? This just the

2:04:48 fan experience is amazing. It's the

2:04:50 best. And uh Jesse's done a great job.

2:04:52 >> Well, Russ, we appreciate I know you

2:04:54 like to high five fans, so you probably

2:04:55 get back to that Coach Josh. Russell

2:04:57 Wilson. Why not?

2:04:58 >> Yep. Thank you.

2:05:00 >> Thank you, Sam. Appreciate Russ sharing

2:05:04 his thoughts with us here in the

2:05:05 broadcast world.

2:05:08 as the party animals are up 3-0

2:05:12 >> and Jacob Aella the new man on the mound

2:05:15 as we head to the sixth inning. Take a

2:05:18 look

2:05:19 at Jacob as a kid showing off the dance

2:05:22 moves. We've seen him on display in

2:05:24 Banana Land. It is so cool

2:05:27 to see the history of Bazela's dance

2:05:30 abilities. Ballet action. That's what

2:05:34 they called Big Red, Little Red. He was

2:05:36 dancing from ages 4 to 12 before he

2:05:40 decided to take up playing baseball full

2:05:43 time. Very cool to see Za now really

2:05:47 impressing as a banana ball rookie. Not

2:05:51 only do all of his teammates rave about

2:05:53 his abilities on the mount, they rave

2:05:55 about the dance moves as well. And Biza

2:05:57 an earn run average at three on the dot,

2:06:00 has a 5:1 strikeout to ball four sprint

2:06:03 ratio this season. And he's also

2:06:05 averaging less than a base runner per

2:06:08 inning pitched, which just speaks to how

2:06:11 effective he's been keeping guys off the

2:06:13 bases.

2:06:18 >> Does it with a fast ball, high 80s, low

2:06:20 90s, slider, curveball, splitter, and

2:06:23 once in a while he'll break out a

2:06:26 knuckle ball. Just to keep you honest,

2:06:30 all three runs he has allowed this year

2:06:33 of the earned variety. Four on one swing

2:06:35 by Taj Porter.

2:06:38 Two weekends ago in Chapel Hill

2:06:42 Football Stadium three-run shot.

2:06:46 Outside of that, Bazela has been

2:06:48 unbelievable as Tanner Thomas hacking at

2:06:51 the first pitch as Cruz and KJ

2:06:54 converging and it ends up in the seats.

2:06:57 No catch from the fans.

2:07:04 Tanner Thomas, Bronson Ball home. Bryson

2:07:06 Bloomer 8 N and 10 in the lineup here in

2:07:11 the away half of the sixth with the

2:07:13 Party Animals up three points.

2:07:16 coming off back-to-back inning wins.

2:07:30 All the way to the back stop. Tanner

2:07:31 taking off for first. Bill, no play.

2:07:36 >> Tanner Thomas his first steal of first

2:07:39 base this year. This is a guy who's tied

2:07:41 for the single season record with six.

2:07:45 and still Bananal's all-time leader in

2:07:48 steals of first. So, he recognizes those

2:07:51 situations better than anyone else in

2:07:53 this sports history. No surprise that

2:07:56 Thomas immediately off and running when

2:07:59 he saw Loy not able to haul that in.

2:08:10 And what a way for Tanner Thomas to get

2:08:12 his first steal overall this year as

2:08:15 that's an errand throw on the pickoff

2:08:17 attempt from Bazela.

2:08:21 Look at Tanner up to second. What the

2:08:23 heck happened over there? Did somebody

2:08:25 toss that ball back to Ziggy?

2:08:27 >> This ball was interfered with

2:08:32 you could see Tanner's like, "What the

2:08:34 heck is happening?

2:08:36 somebody in the camera. Well, I believe.

2:08:38 I mean, that just cannot happen.

2:08:44 >> Tanner only would have gotten an extra

2:08:46 90 ft either way.

2:08:51 As this one, a worm burner to Olen

2:08:54 fielded and flipped between the legs to

2:08:56 take care of Bronnie.

2:08:59 But Tanner over to third base with just

2:09:01 one out now

2:09:03 >> as Olsson has the trick play lead back

2:09:05 up to five for the Nanners.

2:09:08 >> That's become the Jackson Olsson staple.

2:09:10 Fielding between the legs, throwing it

2:09:12 through your legs as well. He just makes

2:09:14 that look so clean and easy. And now he

2:09:17 and his Bananas teammates shift the

2:09:19 infield in as this one is lined right

2:09:22 over the head or the glove of Ryan Cox.

2:09:26 And pinch hitter Mark Smith who has

2:09:29 moved out of that designated runner spot

2:09:32 comes away with the base knock and an

2:09:35 extremely and I mean extremely special

2:09:39 one at that. Yeah. Mark Smith, even

2:09:42 though he grew up a diehard Red Sox fan,

2:09:46 his grandfather, his mom's dad was a

2:09:49 diehard Yankees fan.

2:09:52 Grandpa Bob Pari passed away in

2:09:54 December.

2:09:56 Such a big Yankees fan. He had a

2:09:57 pinstriped Harley-Davidson

2:10:01 and one of the most special people, most

2:10:03 important people in Mark's life. Said

2:10:05 he's felt him with him this entire

2:10:07 weekend.

2:10:08 certainly with him

2:10:12 >> for the hit right there

2:10:15 >> and the RBI to boot.

2:10:18 Not just any hit. I mean that is the

2:10:20 first career banana mall hit for Mark

2:10:22 Smith and the same goes for his first

2:10:24 RBI.

2:10:29 the strike out of Reese Hampton

2:10:32 on the splitter from Bazela.

2:10:37 And just one extra note that I noticed

2:10:40 once Smith got to first base. I mean, he

2:10:42 nearly collapsed in Thomas Simino's

2:10:45 arms. Party Animals first base coach

2:10:48 clearly knew how special that knock was

2:10:51 for Mark Smith as the fans try and track

2:10:55 down that banana ball and nearly come

2:10:58 away with the snag. Instead, it keeps

2:11:00 Akuff alive against Baza.

2:11:07 >> No balls in two strikes on Auff.

2:11:16 as the splitter misses below the knees.

2:11:21 >> Chase two for three hits in each of his

2:11:23 last two trips to the plate.

2:11:26 >> And a good fight on another splitter

2:11:28 from Bazela.

2:11:44 lofted out to right center. Alexiotis in

2:11:47 cruise control takes care of it to put a

2:11:50 close to the top half of the sixth

2:11:52 inning. But the Animals a run for a

2:11:54 third straight frame trying to make it a

2:11:57 point for a third straight inning as

2:11:59 well.

2:12:15 And we've got Derek Clenna representing

2:12:17 the party animals and the bananas,

2:12:19 respectively. We're going to assign them

2:12:21 a popular song, but we're going to put

2:12:23 it in a different genre and see who does

2:12:25 it the best. A little music roulette.

2:12:27 Jan, you are going to go first. Let's go

2:12:29 ahead and see what you have.

2:12:33 >> You're going to be singing Ain't No

2:12:35 Sunshine as an opera tune. Good luck,

2:12:38 >> Jan.

2:12:46 When she's gone,

2:12:51 it's not warm when she's

2:13:00 gone.

2:13:02 too long. Any

2:13:15 >> Wow,

2:13:16 >> great job, Janine. Derek, that's a tough

2:13:18 act to follow today, my man. But we're

2:13:20 in New York. Let's see what you got.

2:13:24 >> You're going to be singing

2:13:26 Dancing Through Life as a country.

2:13:33 Heck of a battle on our hands this

2:13:34 Sunday afternoon from Yankee Stadium. So

2:13:37 far, the party animals in control.

2:13:40 Winners of the first, fourth, and fifth

2:13:42 innings trying to stop a sixgame skid

2:13:45 while the Bananas, who had a comeback

2:13:47 win Friday night here in the Bronx, are

2:13:49 trying to make it eight straight

2:13:52 victories and four straight series

2:13:54 sweeps against four different opponents

2:13:56 here in the Banana Ball Championship

2:13:58 League. Brady Kais with run one run to

2:14:01 work with here in the sixth inning

2:14:04 trying to earn the first po fourth point

2:14:07 of the game for the Animals. Yeah, this

2:14:08 is just his third time getting the ball

2:14:10 this season. He's been dealing with some

2:14:14 shoulder issues that have kept him from

2:14:16 taking the field earlier. And Kaiser's

2:14:18 first outing threw a clean inning. Got

2:14:21 three ground outs on 14 pitches and the

2:14:23 inning finished in 2 and 1/2 minutes.

2:14:26 Second timeout. Little bit of a struggle

2:14:28 with control for Kais. Three ball force

2:14:31 sprints on 19 pitches and a 4minute and

2:14:35 39se second frame. So Kais hoping for

2:14:38 more of what he saw in his season debut.

2:14:41 And when healthy, you can bank on this

2:14:43 guy working incredibly quick as he has

2:14:45 six sub two-minute innings in his banana

2:14:48 ball career.

2:14:50 >> First pitch down and in to Tai Jackson.

2:14:53 His first plate appearance of the

2:14:54 afternoon.

2:14:56 coming in for Dr. Meadows at the top of

2:14:57 this Bananas order

2:15:01 >> and he swings through the change up.

2:15:04 Part of a three- pitch mix from Kais.

2:15:09 Jam shot a cuff between the legs. Smooth

2:15:13 as silk

2:15:14 to take care of the speedy tie two fly.

2:15:23 AUF very smooth and you see those trick

2:15:25 plays missed earlier in the ball game.

2:15:27 Certainly behind him at shortstop as

2:15:31 Kais clips the top of the zone for

2:15:33 strike one against Alexi.

2:15:36 Bounding ball foul just barely.

2:15:39 Eric Goldstein right on top of it

2:15:43 as we get some acrobatics from Seth

2:15:46 Markham. Anyway, first pace umpire

2:15:50 see Goldstein

2:15:54 says that one just barely foul as Mike

2:15:58 Ballard has moved from second base over

2:15:59 to third. Dustin Babber off the bench

2:16:01 into second base.

2:16:07 And that one all the way to the back

2:16:08 stop. Reese selectiatis is going to

2:16:10 steal first base. He's the only player

2:16:14 in the entire Banana Ball Championship

2:16:16 League with multiple steals of first.

2:16:19 That is his fourth of the year.

2:16:22 He's just doing it with reckless

2:16:25 abandon. I mean, every time this guy

2:16:27 sees a wild pitch, a pass ball, he's

2:16:30 taking off. And he's clearly gotten the

2:16:31 speed to do it at a very high and

2:16:34 successful rate as he's on for MJG.

2:16:38 hacking at the first pitch and fouling

2:16:41 it out of play.

2:16:50 >> That one just a tad high. Evens up the

2:16:52 count at a ball and a strike on Young

2:16:54 Goldberg. A sackfly his first time, then

2:16:57 struck out in the third.

2:17:06 There goes Alexi and it's a foul ball.

2:17:14 Super Reese five for six on the year in

2:17:17 his stolen base tries, but as we've

2:17:18 talked about, four of those steals have

2:17:20 been a first.

2:17:24 It's only swiped second once.

2:17:27 And the one time he was caught was

2:17:28 trying to steal third base all the way

2:17:30 back on February 28th. First game of the

2:17:32 year for the Bananas.

2:17:34 Taj Porter nabbed him in Tallahassee.

2:17:40 On hot swan to second just in time. Auff

2:17:43 return for the 363 twin killing.

2:17:47 >> And the party animals win their third

2:17:49 straight inning. They lead four to

2:17:52 nothing through six frames. And it's a

2:17:54 commanding 40-0 lead at that. And a much

2:17:57 needed quick inning for the boys in

2:18:00 black and pink. How about 2 minutes and

2:18:02 53 seconds for Brady Kais.

2:18:07 He gets his second point earned

2:18:10 here in his third tour.

2:18:16 2024 visitor.

2:18:26 as we honor all the service members,

2:18:29 first responders, teachers, all the

2:18:31 heroes

2:18:35 we have on hand here in Yankee Stadium.

2:18:37 Always

2:18:39 a booming cheer for the teachers out

2:18:41 there.

2:18:45 It's a full capacity crowd,

2:18:48 over 46,000

2:18:51 fans have converged here

2:18:55 in the Big Apple on Yankee Stadium.

2:19:00 >> So far, Party Animals dominance this

2:19:02 afternoon. A 4N lead with three innings

2:19:04 to play.

2:19:07 And Jake Skull doesn't offer up at the

2:19:10 fast ball. Check down to Eric Goldstein.

2:19:13 He never even responded to Trey Hudson.

2:19:17 I think it was pretty clear that Skull

2:19:19 was able to hold up as the count is now

2:19:20 even at one and one. RBI double his

2:19:23 first time

2:19:24 >> since then. A fly out and a strike out

2:19:26 and a sword on the splitter right there

2:19:29 as Baza jumps ahead.

2:19:35 Swing and a miss.

2:19:38 That splitter is downright disgusting

2:19:41 as Jake has his second K of the day. And

2:19:44 quick work from Jacob Aa

2:19:48 certainly helps to keep the guy off

2:19:50 after a steal of first started his sixth

2:19:52 inning. Four pitches and Skull sent back

2:19:55 to the bench.

2:20:07 >> TJ Reeves solo home run his last time.

2:20:10 It was the difference in the fifth

2:20:12 inning.

2:20:18 He's one for two on the afternoon. Hit

2:20:20 by a pitch and a strikeout.

2:20:23 And TJ, four straight bad ones, reaches

2:20:26 base for a third time in this ball game.

2:20:41 And only the third ball four sprint from

2:20:44 Bazela this year in over 10 innings of

2:20:46 work.

2:20:49 Now Jason Swan ahead 10 as it's five

2:20:52 straight balls

2:20:54 fired by Bazela

2:20:58 make it six bad ones in a row as Reeves

2:21:01 is back ahead of the throw from Loy.

2:21:12 Big league pop left side.

2:21:15 Cox battling the sun will tip it and

2:21:19 rack there with the bare hand snag. So

2:21:21 Ryan Cox gets the trick play. It scored

2:21:24 6-7 in your score book at home. And

2:21:27 we'll send it down to Gilly.

2:21:29 >> Tallest pitcher

2:21:32 Dakota Stilts. Oh, Britain.

2:21:41 And once again this weekend, we get to

2:21:43 see the tallest athlete in the world who

2:21:45 make sure to get a high five from his

2:21:47 rookie teammate Stilts here in his sixth

2:21:50 year as a Savannah Banana.

2:21:53 Legendary moment Friday night. Led off

2:21:55 the sixth inning with a line drive

2:21:57 single off Dalton Ponz. His first knock

2:21:59 of the year. And when it comes to his

2:22:02 work on the bump, one bat outing outside

2:22:03 of that, he's been pretty darn good.

2:22:05 Yeah, you see only one hit allowed for

2:22:07 Dakota Stilt. Saul Britain now has as

2:22:10 many hits at the plate as hits allowed

2:22:12 as a pitcher and trying to add on to

2:22:14 what has already been a pretty memorable

2:22:16 weekend and leave a guy on the bases as

2:22:19 well. While he's at it,

2:22:24 >> Mike Ballard ducks under what Stilts

2:22:26 calls the tall ball. part of a three-

2:22:29 pitch mix.

2:22:33 The tall ball is the big bender he

2:22:35 throws from that 10' 11 in vantage point

2:22:48 and pours that one in to make it a 2-1

2:22:51 count.

2:22:54 Ballard a sprint and a single. So single

2:22:57 so far today

2:23:03 and a chance for the fans.

2:23:08 Not caught in the lower level. Do you

2:23:09 see my first step on that? Was good. I

2:23:12 was ready. Move forward. Not first step

2:23:14 back. I'm first step forward. The first

2:23:17 step is so important.

2:23:19 Tracking a ball.

2:23:22 The 2- two nearly gets a piece of Balor.

2:23:28 Twists out of the way.

2:23:33 So, a payoff coming. Reeves takes off

2:23:35 from first. Another chance for the fans.

2:23:39 Knock off. Oh man. Butter fingers in the

2:23:43 second deck. Has the mittens on. That

2:23:46 does not make things any easier. They

2:23:49 definitely make that banana ball a

2:23:50 little more slick as Stilts payoff will

2:23:53 miss and get away from Bill Roy. So

2:23:55 Ballard looks like he is guaranteed two

2:23:58 bases on the ball for Sprint and TJ

2:24:01 Raves will get the wave from Mike Basis

2:24:05 and score for the Party Animals.

2:24:10 Four straight innings for the Animals in

2:24:13 which they have tallied a run against

2:24:16 the Savannah Bananas.

2:24:20 And the terrific rookie campaign

2:24:22 continues. That is a dozen runs driven

2:24:24 in on the year now for Mike Ballard.

2:24:30 A 1-1 count on Andy Cosgrove. It was a

2:24:34 pair of sprints this inning that

2:24:36 produced this run. Reeves reached on a

2:24:38 sprint against Bazela. This one sprayed

2:24:41 into right past the dive of Tai Jackson

2:24:44 all the way to the wall. Ballard will

2:24:46 score easily. Cosg Gro putting it into

2:24:49 hyper drive. He is going to cruise into

2:24:52 third with an RBI stand up triple. The

2:24:54 ball gets away from KJ, but a nice

2:24:56 ricochet

2:24:58 to prevent that from becoming a little

2:25:01 league home run. But now a two spot in

2:25:04 the inning for the party animals who are

2:25:06 in full control of this ball game.

2:25:09 And Cosgrove can certainly breathe a

2:25:12 sigh of relief at long last.

2:25:17 talked about it on Friday. It was a guy

2:25:18 who had just three hits in his last 24

2:25:21 abs. Finally gets this big triple for

2:25:25 the Animals. Tallies another run batted

2:25:27 in as well to extend his team lead and

2:25:30 hopefully a sign of good things to come

2:25:32 for their catcher who's dhing today. Oh,

2:25:36 Jackie tough hop, but he's able to stick

2:25:38 with it, fielding it between the legs

2:25:41 as that puts a stop to the bleeding, but

2:25:44 two runs across for the Party Animals

2:25:46 who have won three straight innings and

2:25:49 have a golden opportunity to make it

2:25:51 four straight frames with a point

2:25:54 earned.

2:26:01 and Ryan Rodriguez,

2:26:04 the new man out of the pen

2:26:09 for the clowns. The kin out of New Hall,

2:26:11 California.

2:26:14 This would be the party animals.

2:26:16 My brain for a second there was in

2:26:20 Greenville, South Carolina. Clouds and

2:26:22 firefighters just had a great three-game

2:26:25 series.

2:26:28 But Ryrod here in his third world tour,

2:26:31 fan favorite, a locker room legend

2:26:39 and greeted rudely by Dan Oburst. An

2:26:43 ambush on the second pitch he throws.

2:26:48 Danny Barrel is a perfect three for

2:26:50 three on the afternoon.

2:26:56 Now four for seven on the weekend as you

2:26:58 get another look at that one bouncing

2:27:01 off the diving attempt of Ballard as a

2:27:03 line drive yanked foul. Bryce Gafi was

2:27:07 off for second. Pinch running for Oburst

2:27:10 for the third time today. He has to

2:27:13 scamper back to first. And now KJ who

2:27:15 singled his last time

2:27:19 quickly behind O2. That's the 126 curve

2:27:22 ball from Rodriguez. He's got a slider

2:27:25 cutter forcing fast ball as well.

2:27:39 >> 02

2:27:41 laced right back up to shoot and backto

2:27:43 back at bats with a single for KJ as

2:27:47 Gafi goes station to station.

2:27:52 Things getting a little interesting here

2:27:55 in the last of the seventh. The inning

2:27:56 tying run is aboard. Still no outs as

2:27:59 Bill Loy struts up to the plate. Yan

2:28:02 Rodriguez has had a particularly strong

2:28:04 start to the year for the party. Animals

2:28:07 just a 1.80 earned run average. Hasn't

2:28:10 given up hardly any hits. And now the

2:28:13 Bananas trying to run all over Bronson

2:28:16 Ball home. And it pays off. A double

2:28:18 steel. Grazafi and KJ both move into

2:28:22 scoring position. That's massive. That's

2:28:24 the inning tieing run up to second base

2:28:27 and the double play out of the question.

2:28:31 Party Animals with a two-run lead in the

2:28:33 inning. They will trade an out for a run

2:28:35 at this point

2:28:37 as Bill blasts this deep to right and

2:28:40 that will tie the inning.

2:28:44 >> Rosafi and KJ both come home. A two-run

2:28:48 double from the captain and Bill Loy

2:28:51 trying to spark some life for this

2:28:53 Bananas offense

2:28:55 as they finally fight back.

2:28:58 First run scored since the first inning

2:29:01 for the Nanners. Yeah, the Bananas have

2:29:04 hardly gotten any guys in scoring

2:29:06 position this entire series.

2:29:09 They only had two plate appearances

2:29:11 which resulted in guys getting to bat

2:29:13 with men in scoring position. turned out

2:29:16 to be one of them a sackfly for the

2:29:18 bananas and the other did not bring

2:29:21 anybody in. So, Billy finally able to

2:29:24 come through at long last for this

2:29:26 squad.

2:29:28 And now Jackson Olsson with the ball and

2:29:31 a strike.

2:29:33 Laughing his way through that strike

2:29:35 call

2:29:37 as that one just misses the back door

2:29:40 from Sexy Mexi.

2:29:42 >> Loy the inning winning run on second

2:29:44 base.

2:29:50 A two- two count on Jackie.

2:29:55 >> A fly out and a strike out so far today.

2:30:00 >> Looking for his first knock of the

2:30:01 weekend.

2:30:03 And he will run the count full. Ball

2:30:06 four will win the inning.

2:30:15 Payoff

2:30:17 just misses wide. Rodriguez thought he

2:30:20 back door the bender. Trey Hudson

2:30:22 disagrees.

2:30:24 Olsson his second walk-off of the year,

2:30:26 his first since the Bananas opening game

2:30:30 in Tallahassee. And the Nanners finally

2:30:33 have a point. They trail 4-1 with two

2:30:36 innings to play.

2:30:43 All right,

2:30:57 New York.

2:31:03 Heat.

2:31:23 Heat.

2:31:28 Heat.

2:31:40 Heat.

2:32:02 Ladies and gentlemen,

2:32:11 >> welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

2:32:12 Roku Sports channel. Matt Vasc

2:32:14 excursion. Great to have you in the

2:32:16 booth with us, my friend.

2:32:17 >> Happy to be here with you guys. This is

2:32:19 awesome, by the way. Holy. I'm in. I'm

2:32:21 in on all this, the whole every bit of

2:32:23 it. It's so much fun.

2:32:24 >> What has been the biggest takeaway from

2:32:27 you so far?

2:32:28 >> Um, is the the fact that every single

2:32:31 person in the stands is smiling and

2:32:34 enjoying this, and it ranges from people

2:32:36 that have probably never been to a

2:32:37 baseball game before to people that

2:32:39 probably are Yankee season ticket

2:32:41 holders and come here 81 nights a year.

2:32:43 >> Yep. Spot on. Spot on. I also can't

2:32:46 believe that nobody gets smoked with a

2:32:47 foul ball with all the players on the

2:32:49 field like that. That as soon as I sat

2:32:51 down, I'm like, "Oh my gosh." Like, wow.

2:32:55 >> Yeah, I'm sure our uh our athletic

2:32:57 trainers would prefer they don't do it,

2:32:59 but the fans are

2:33:00 >> I'm positive about that, too.

2:33:02 >> Yeah, they're pretty enthusiastic about

2:33:04 the guys outside the dugout. Brownie

2:33:06 opens up the eighth inning with a ball

2:33:08 for sprint.

2:33:08 >> Unbelievable. The razzledazzle. I was

2:33:11 not this. I'm new to Banana Land, guys.

2:33:14 So, give me a little grace here because

2:33:15 I I'm not totally familiar or at least I

2:33:18 wasn't before I got here.

2:33:19 >> Sure.

2:33:20 >> The ground ball stuff and the between

2:33:22 the legs and the behind the back. Oh my

2:33:24 god. Like, there are guys in the big

2:33:26 leagues that are jealous as heck that

2:33:27 you can do this. And I'm sure I can name

2:33:30 probably two dozen guys right now that

2:33:32 would love to be doing this the day they

2:33:34 retire.

2:33:36 >> And Jackie Bradley Jr. as our first

2:33:38 full-time banana ball player coming

2:33:40 right out of the bigs. He is really

2:33:42 laying the the blueprint for just that.

2:33:44 >> I'm saying first of many, too. I think

2:33:45 there are others like

2:33:47 >> you know the Sean Casey thing is

2:33:49 unfortunate as it may have been,

2:33:51 >> right?

2:33:52 >> That's the exception, not the rule.

2:33:55 >> Oh boy.

2:33:57 >> I think he said the hamstring went

2:33:58 straight to pulled pork as this one

2:34:00 pulled down the third baseline. Fair

2:34:02 Dustin Bab off the bench. His first

2:34:05 swing of the afternoon is going to be a

2:34:07 double and wheeling around to score.

2:34:11 Brunts ball home from first.

2:34:14 RBI two bagger from Derek Ginger. The

2:34:18 party animals offense this afternoon

2:34:20 relentless.

2:34:21 >> You know, here's another takeaway I've

2:34:22 got is that this is not a clown show.

2:34:26 Like all these guys have skills. Like

2:34:29 you can tell these dudes all played at a

2:34:32 high level of either amateur baseball.

2:34:36 I'm sure there's a lot of guys that

2:34:37 played in the minor leagues. Probably

2:34:39 all of them played college ball. Like

2:34:41 you know these guys all know what

2:34:42 they're doing.

2:34:43 >> Yep. You got 12th round draft pick by

2:34:45 the Tigers back in 2018. Swinging it

2:34:47 right now. Reese Hampton.

2:34:48 >> Okay.

2:34:49 >> Yeah. There's former minor league guys

2:34:50 all over the place.

2:34:52 >> How are these guys Did they guys Do they

2:34:53 love being at Yankee Stadium? Like is it

2:34:56 definite a discussion?

2:34:57 There have been a million guys it feels

2:34:59 like who all have ties in some relation

2:35:02 to being Yankees fans coming to Yankee

2:35:04 Stadium as kids. This has been one of

2:35:06 the most special weekends of the year

2:35:07 we've had. Really cool.

2:35:11 >> Hampton the switch hitting center

2:35:12 fielder down swinging. Le gets him on

2:35:15 the change up. Tristan Lec, Banana Ball

2:35:18 rookie, fifth round draft pick, straight

2:35:21 out of the University of Rhode Island to

2:35:24 throw it against former minor leaguers,

2:35:25 which is another part of the beauty of

2:35:27 Banana Ball

2:35:27 >> for sure. That's a really cool

2:35:28 narrative. I love it.

2:35:32 >> And Chase Auff looping this one out to

2:35:35 left. Rack can't make the diving catch.

2:35:39 >> Good read by Bover. He's going to come

2:35:40 in and score. AUP takes a spot at second

2:35:44 and a two spot for the Animals now here

2:35:46 in the eighth.

2:35:47 >> Are the animals are they the villains of

2:35:49 the league? Because the guy with the Ric

2:35:50 Flair coat down there is annoying me.

2:35:53 I'm not sure if I should say that.

2:35:55 >> I'm talking about Drake Tol. That's the

2:35:56 voice of the party animals.

2:35:57 >> Is He's the guy.

2:36:01 >> I'm just the coat. I'm having a hard

2:36:03 time with the coat.

2:36:04 >> Although you could be. I There's

2:36:05 multiple bizarre coats. I guess you're

2:36:07 actually probably talking about Mike

2:36:08 Vasis. That's their head coach. I'm I'm

2:36:11 purely kidding about that, but it does

2:36:13 stand out.

2:36:14 >> That's your your pink coat you're

2:36:15 talking about.

2:36:16 >> No, it's the the Well, that one that's

2:36:18 okay. The

2:36:19 >> Freddy Mercury estate sale.

2:36:22 >> Couple of bucks in your pocket. I got

2:36:23 it. It's the other. It's the um 101

2:36:26 Dalmatian.

2:36:26 >> There it is. You took the word right out

2:36:28 of the Kruella.

2:36:29 >> That's our Deville, right?

2:36:31 >> That's our guy Drake.

2:36:35 >> That one.

2:36:36 >> Yes. Drake toll. You have the eye of

2:36:40 Matt Basker.

2:36:40 >> Not even not even. It's really It's mad

2:36:42 respect cuz I just would never have the

2:36:45 ability to pull that off.

2:36:46 >> I'd be drenched in sweat. It's my big

2:36:48 problem.

2:36:50 >> So you got got a guy Jake Skull just

2:36:52 earned this ball force sprint. He's

2:36:54 going to drive in Chase Auff from

2:36:55 second. That's his fourth run driven in

2:36:57 on the weekend. He's a firstrounder. So

2:36:59 this is a guy who was drafted first

2:37:01 round back in 2010. Five years in the

2:37:03 Rangers organization, two years in in

2:37:05 the New York Yankees farm system. Now he

2:37:07 gets to play in the Bronx.

2:37:08 >> How'd the guy from second score score on

2:37:09 a walk?

2:37:10 >> So when ball four is fired, all seven

2:37:13 fielders behind the pitcher and catcher

2:37:15 have to touch the ball before it's live.

2:37:17 >> So if someone's in scoring position,

2:37:18 they are going to score if you walk

2:37:20 somebody.

2:37:21 >> Okay.

2:37:21 >> No chance to get him unless they like

2:37:23 trip and break their leg.

2:37:24 >> Next question. My son swears he saw Mr.

2:37:26 T today.

2:37:27 >> He saw Mr. K.

2:37:29 >> Is that a Mr. T light?

2:37:31 >> Yes, pretty much.

2:37:32 >> Okay.

2:37:32 >> He's Banana Lands Mr. T. just

2:37:35 >> not as scary as he was. I promise.

2:37:39 >> It's packed with potassium.

2:37:44 >> Okay, who's this dude hitting?

2:37:46 >> TJ Reeds is a banana ball rookie, but

2:37:49 actually played one weekend with the

2:37:51 Party Animals in Milwaukee in 2023.

2:37:55 Couple hits. Just had his first banana

2:37:56 ball home run this afternoon.

2:37:59 >> Saw that.

2:38:00 >> Good poke out to left.

2:38:05 would qualify as a rain maker.

2:38:07 >> Yeah. Touch the sky.

2:38:11 >> And now the count is full. Now Tristan

2:38:13 Lec has had a fantastic start to his

2:38:17 banana ball career. Not used to seeing

2:38:19 this much traffic as that one is just

2:38:21 barely foul.

2:38:22 >> What city has been the uh the most

2:38:25 pleasant surprise in terms of the

2:38:27 reception to the bananas?

2:38:29 >> What a question. I think Seattle last

2:38:31 year as this one on a hot PJ between the

2:38:34 legs. There's one and two behind the

2:38:38 back. Alex Zagler

2:38:40 >> around the horn for the Twin Killing

2:38:41 with a pair of trick plays.

2:38:43 >> The Bananas have 12 of them today. Matt,

2:38:46 >> that is unbelievable. It's too hot for

2:38:48 TV.

2:38:50 >> That's why we Well, we sometimes keep it

2:38:53 on YouTube. We've also got it on the

2:38:54 Roku Sports channel this afternoon.

2:38:57 We bounce around, but it's a three spot

2:39:00 for the Animals. They lead the game four

2:39:02 points to one, they lead the inning

2:39:04 three runs to nothing. So, if they could

2:39:06 keep the bananas to two runs or less in

2:39:08 the bottom half, they will lead 5-1 in

2:39:11 the allimportant points department going

2:39:13 into the ninth.

2:39:14 >> How do the trick plays translate into

2:39:15 points?

2:39:18 >> Uh, the away team, if they have more

2:39:20 trick plays than the home team going

2:39:23 into the final inning, they get a point.

2:39:25 But the home team cannot get a point via

2:39:28 trick plays. They're they're just trying

2:39:30 to deny the equalizer point

2:39:33 >> from the away team. And son of a gun,

2:39:36 did our 2-hour timer run out?

2:39:37 >> It did. So our 2-hour time limit

2:39:39 expired. This also makes things

2:39:41 incredibly interesting.

2:39:42 >> You guys get bounced after 2 hours.

2:39:44 >> Yes.

2:39:45 >> On Roku?

2:39:46 >> Well, no, no, no. We're we're good on

2:39:47 Roku. The game

2:39:48 >> The game is played with a 2hour time

2:39:51 limit. So now that it is expired, the

2:39:54 three runs that were scored in the

2:39:55 eighth inning, they all translated to

2:39:58 points for the Party Animals, giving

2:40:00 them a 7 to1 lead right now over the

2:40:02 Bananas. And the Bananas in the bottom

2:40:04 half of this inning, but they're able to

2:40:06 score six runs. They all become points.

2:40:09 They'll tie the Party Animals and will

2:40:11 go to showdown tiebreaker.

2:40:13 >> This explanation, this is starting to

2:40:14 sound like the poker game on the

2:40:15 barracks in the movie Stripes.

2:40:18 If we were in Germany, I'd have to make

2:40:20 your bet. Well, hold on to your butt

2:40:22 here, Matt, because this is the first

2:40:24 time a Savannah Bananas game has not

2:40:27 gotten to the ninth inning since

2:40:29 September 14th, 2023 in Syracuse, New

2:40:32 York.

2:40:32 >> Oh, wow. Okay.

2:40:34 >> You're a fan of you.

2:40:35 >> I part of my old haunts. That's on the

2:40:37 back of the baseball card for me. Sure.

2:40:39 >> Lived and worked in the Salt City.

2:40:41 >> Yes. Um, lived in Camilis. Called

2:40:45 MacArthur Park home for one glorious AAA

2:40:48 International League season. Yeah, it

2:40:50 was MacArthur Park back then.

2:40:51 >> Yeah, Chris Winky was a starting first

2:40:52 baseman for the uh Chiefs back then.

2:40:55 >> And then you go back and win a Heisman

2:40:57 Trophy.

2:41:01 >> So, how about this? This is our final

2:41:04 inning. Just like that.

2:41:07 >> The Party Animals with their three runs

2:41:10 in the top half. All of them turned to

2:41:12 points. And Dylan Porter greeted rudely

2:41:15 by Robert Anthony Cruz. Nice

2:41:16 >> piece of hitting there.

2:41:17 >> Very nice.

2:41:19 Rat, former Nationals minor leager

2:41:22 leadoff single. And we'll get it down to

2:41:24 Jesse.

2:41:24 >> Now coming to bat, a twotime allstar and

2:41:30 fourtime World Series champion for your

2:41:34 New York Yankees. Please welcome Tino

2:41:39 Martino.

2:41:42 >> Oh yeah.

2:41:56 You got to be kidding me.

2:41:58 16 years in the big. Seven of them spent

2:42:01 here in the Bronx. Four-time World

2:42:04 Series champion Tino Martinez. And we

2:42:06 have Matt Vascersian in the booth for

2:42:08 >> Let me tell you something. As a Padres's

2:42:10 fan.

2:42:10 >> Oh, sorry. If there's justice, then

2:42:13 there's a 3-1 pitch with the bases

2:42:15 loaded.

2:42:17 That is a sorry, a 2-2 pitch with the

2:42:20 bases loaded that is called properly and

2:42:22 Tino strikes out

2:42:24 because that grand slam should have

2:42:26 never happened in 98 game one. Never.

2:42:30 Mark Langston cut the plate in quarters

2:42:33 and somehow that was called the ball and

2:42:36 then Tino hit a slam on the next pitch

2:42:38 and the pods got swept

2:42:40 >> right across the street in the old

2:42:41 stadium.

2:42:41 >> I don't want to be a hater here. I love

2:42:43 Tino but there's a strike out coming

2:42:45 here for karma for Padres's fans around

2:42:47 the world. He just stepped out of the

2:42:49 box. He should have been called out on

2:42:51 strikes right there. But some grace for

2:42:53 the former big leager and as you can see

2:42:55 the other beauty of Banana Ball. Dylan

2:42:56 Porter is doing everything he can to

2:42:58 strike out Tino Tino Martinez here.

2:43:01 >> Oh yeah, that's a big deal, right?

2:43:05 And he does.

2:43:07 Gnarly two seam fast ball as Tino

2:43:10 Martinez goes down on strikes.

2:43:12 >> That was cleansing for me. That was that

2:43:14 was a cleansing experience. 1998 never

2:43:17 happened. now.

2:43:20 >> And see, this is this is the perfect

2:43:21 platform to you for you to be able to

2:43:23 share these opinions, these feelings.

2:43:26 >> Yeah. I could finally say what I've been

2:43:27 trying to say for a long time without

2:43:29 any ramifications of, you know, somebody

2:43:31 pulling the microphone cord out of the

2:43:32 wall.

2:43:33 >> I had no idea the cathartic experience

2:43:36 we were blessing you with here.

2:43:37 >> Thanks, guys.

2:43:42 Well, Matty V's finally got closure

2:43:46 and Dylan Porter trying to close out a

2:43:48 7-1 victory. Two outs away from it. Ryan

2:43:52 Cox

2:43:53 reached on a trick play. Missed back in

2:43:55 the second.

2:43:58 >> You know, I like the idea that there's

2:43:59 no fixed result here, too. By the way,

2:44:01 as a novice to the league, once again,

2:44:03 people that watch know, but this is not

2:44:05 the Globe Trotters versus the Washington

2:44:07 Generals every night. Not at all. Yes,

2:44:10 >> dudes are trying to win.

2:44:12 >> Oh yeah, there's a playoff spot on the

2:44:14 line.

2:44:16 >> Six teams in the world of banana ball

2:44:17 these days.

2:44:18 >> When is the postseason start?

2:44:19 >> October.

2:44:20 >> Oh, of course. Why would he even ask

2:44:22 that?

2:44:23 >> First weekend.

2:44:24 >> Have you guys gotten Ken Seiko to do

2:44:26 this yet?

2:44:27 >> Yes.

2:44:27 >> No, we have not.

2:44:28 >> He'd be great.

2:44:31 >> That would be a riot.

2:44:34 Pistol squat.

2:44:36 That's uh those are questionable

2:44:38 mechanics.

2:44:39 >> He learned that from Jack Flity.

2:44:42 >> I don't think Jack goes down that low,

2:44:44 does he?

2:44:44 >> He trains with it.

2:44:46 >> Okay.

2:44:46 >> It's a training maneuver and Dylan

2:44:48 Porter has brought it into the sport of

2:44:49 banana ball.

2:44:50 >> Wow.

2:44:52 >> And a swing and a miss.

2:44:54 >> He's going to strike out the side here.

2:44:59 >> Porter one away from it. 2023 and 2024

2:45:03 party animal. He was a banana the year

2:45:05 before. Took a year off. Was in the

2:45:08 Pioneer League with the Oakland Ballers

2:45:10 last year. Back in black and pink

2:45:14 and trying to stop the Banana sevengame

2:45:16 winning streak.

2:45:19 Rack will take a free second base. I'm

2:45:22 thinking of guys that are playing Major

2:45:24 League Baseball right now that would

2:45:25 just be so great unlocked in this

2:45:29 league. Uh we're at Yankee Stadium. Jazz

2:45:31 Chisum. I mean, Jazz is one of the

2:45:34 greatest showman in the sport. Andrew

2:45:36 Chaffen, animated left-handed reliever.

2:45:39 I mean, the list goes on and on of dudes

2:45:41 that would just absolutely relish this

2:45:44 environment.

2:45:46 >> Think we just asked Chaffen to pitch in

2:45:48 all of his t-shirts

2:45:50 when he goes out there. I know he he

2:45:51 loves those uh real personality kind of

2:45:54 t-shirts.

2:45:55 >> That's right. And he would he'd pick up

2:45:57 all the guys in his 78 El Camino or

2:45:59 whatever it was. I think it was actually

2:46:01 a Thunderbird. No, a Firebird that he

2:46:03 bought from a fan when he was playing

2:46:04 for the Cubs on Instagram.

2:46:07 >> You buy your car from a fan on Instagram

2:46:09 and that's the ride you take to go to

2:46:11 the big leagues as a major league player

2:46:13 every day.

2:46:14 >> About to stay locked on Facebook

2:46:16 Marketplace.

2:46:18 >> Another pistol squat from Dylan Porter

2:46:21 and a swing and a miss. He strikes out

2:46:23 the side and the party animals dominate

2:46:26 this Sunday matinea. 71 winners over the

2:46:29 Savannah Bananas. He threw a strikeout

2:46:31 pitch with that.

2:46:33 >> That's not easy. Way to go, dude. These

2:46:36 guys are bum.

2:46:37 >> Trick pitch strikeout for Dylan Porter

2:46:40 and a dominating 7 to1 win today for the

2:46:44 boys in black and pink. Finally able to

2:46:47 put an end to a sixgame losing streak

2:46:49 and conversely a sevengame winning

2:46:52 streak for the Savannah Bananas.

2:46:54 >> How fun. Guys, thanks for having me up

2:46:55 here. This is a blast. Um, first of

2:46:58 many, I hope for me.

2:46:59 >> Heck yeah. Matt Vascersian, thank you so

2:47:01 much for joining us. It

2:47:02 >> was a pleasure, Matt. Thank you.

2:47:03 >> We've got a lot to discuss on the

2:47:05 postgame show, but for now, let them

2:47:08 dance.

2:47:19 Heat.

2:47:33 Heat.

2:47:54 special. You brought so much energy, so

2:47:56 much love, so much passion. You inspire

2:47:59 us to put on a great show. The party

2:48:01 animals put on a great show tonight. But

2:48:03 also, let's hear it for your Savannah

2:48:05 bananas as well.

2:48:10 We're going to finish with a tradition

2:48:12 out here. I'll tell you, we love what we

2:48:14 get to do. You make it special every

2:48:17 single night. So, the captain of the

2:48:18 banana is going to close us out here.

2:48:23 What's up, New York?

2:48:28 I'm going to be honest, it's really hard

2:48:31 to get out here and talk when you get

2:48:33 beat 7 to one. We just lost a really

2:48:37 hard game. So, as a human being, a lot

2:48:40 of my emotions are not happy, not good.

2:48:43 But there's a lot of things going on

2:48:45 here tonight that is really cool.

2:48:46 Really, two things. We're a long way

2:48:48 from home. All the way from Savannah all

2:48:51 the way up to New York. And you guys

2:48:52 love us here. You guys bring energy and

2:48:54 have

2:48:58 for the last two years. You guys have

2:49:00 welcomed us here and we have felt so

2:49:02 loved. So, thank you for your energy and

2:49:04 sharing this ballpark with us. and two,

2:49:07 there's a lot of joy in this building

2:49:09 tonight. There's a lot of smiles and

2:49:11 there's that's what the world needs more

2:49:12 of is a lot of smiles. So, regardless of

2:49:14 who won tonight, I hope you guys have

2:49:16 fun and I hope you hope you felt like

2:49:18 you belonged here tonight because you do

2:49:21 and we love you from the bottom of our

2:49:22 hearts.

2:49:29 So, before we go home tonight, I want to

2:49:32 break it down as one big banana ball

2:49:34 family. So, everybody put your hands up

2:49:36 high.

2:49:40 >> We're going to say fans first on three

2:49:43 loud and proud.

2:49:45 One, two, three.

2:49:48 >> We love you, New York. Till next time.

2:49:53 >> Special stuff from the 9-year nanner,

2:49:56 the king of Dublin, Georgia himself,

2:49:58 Bill Loy, and talking about how tough it

2:50:02 is to put it into words after getting

2:50:04 absolutely mollywoped. 71 by the party

2:50:09 animals, TJ Reeves. Congratulations.

2:50:11 Your first showman of the game award.

2:50:14 And it was the solo home run that was

2:50:16 the difference in the fifth inning.

2:50:19 Reached three times, scored twice. Well,

2:50:21 there's a reason he was the first pick

2:50:23 on day two for the party animals in

2:50:25 round six. They knew this guy was going

2:50:27 to come in and hit. And that was

2:50:29 certainly true again today in Yankee

2:50:32 Stadium. Reeves with a no doubt blast

2:50:35 against Cowboy Kyle Luig. Reach two

2:50:37 other times in the ball game on a hit by

2:50:40 pitch and a ball force sprint. scores

2:50:42 two runs for the Animals in a huge

2:50:44 offensive game. And a very worthy

2:50:48 showman of the game award for the

2:50:50 Animals rookie who if he keeps playing

2:50:52 like this will be in that starting

2:50:54 lineup each and every night. It's so

2:50:57 hard to keep TJ Reeves out of the

2:50:59 lineup. You got a guy who came in

2:51:00 leading the team hitting 450 on the

2:51:03 year. He's reaching base every other

2:51:04 time. We got to hear from the man

2:51:06 himself. For that we'll get it on down

2:51:07 to Drake. TJ, an incredible night for

2:51:10 you in front of the biggest crowd you

2:51:12 played in front of. Big game. How did

2:51:14 you rise to the occasion?

2:51:16 >> Honestly, I just stayed true to my

2:51:17 routine. Uh, just stayed true to my

2:51:20 teammates. My teammates had faith in me

2:51:21 and I had faith in God. So, I mean,

2:51:23 that's the only things that I need to

2:51:24 have success

2:51:26 >> for you the rest of this season. What

2:51:27 can we expect building off this

2:51:29 performance as a team to continue to

2:51:31 win?

2:51:32 >> Honestly, we're just going to keep the

2:51:33 ball rolling. Um, honestly, we've been

2:51:35 playing ball the last three, four games.

2:51:36 Haven't went our way in the last couple

2:51:38 innings, but uh we're just going to keep

2:51:39 this energy rolling and hopefully we can

2:51:41 keep the wins rolling as well.

2:51:42 >> TJ, go celebrate.

2:51:43 >> Thank you. Thank you,

2:51:45 >> Mark Smith.

2:51:47 >> Damn,

2:51:48 the emotion after that hit for you. Why?

2:51:53 >> Um many reasons. Obviously, Yankee

2:51:55 Stadium is a is a super crucial part of

2:51:58 our schedule. Um my my personal first

2:52:01 time being here, but it's it's very

2:52:02 sentimental to my family um for many

2:52:04 reasons. And so, uh, to that I I praise

2:52:07 God. Uh, I praise my family and I I

2:52:09 thank my brothers behind me.

2:52:10 >> I want you to talk about that your

2:52:11 family and the opportunity to play in

2:52:13 Yankee Stadium. Give me the background.

2:52:15 >> Um, mother's side of the family growing

2:52:17 up, huge Yankee fans, especially my

2:52:18 grandfather. My grandfather's probably

2:52:20 the biggest Yankee fan that I knew uh in

2:52:23 my entire life growing up. And so, we

2:52:24 would we would always have that banter.

2:52:26 Me being a Red Sox fan, him being a

2:52:27 Yankees fan, going back and forth, it's

2:52:29 what kept us connected. and uh um uh due

2:52:32 to his passing uh this was a very

2:52:34 emotional game for me and and I'm so

2:52:36 glad that I I get to uh I get to have

2:52:38 him over me and and hopefully make him

2:52:40 proud.

2:52:41 >> You got to first base, you fell into

2:52:43 Thomas Simino's arms coaching first

2:52:44 base. What did he say to you?

2:52:47 >> He said he said a lot, but he he said it

2:52:49 was really happy for me. Um I I owe it

2:52:52 to him. I owe it to the coaching staff.

2:52:54 U they treat me like just a regular ball

2:52:57 player. I know my role is minuscule, but

2:52:59 I I feel important and I feel a part of

2:53:01 this team. So, and that's all to this

2:53:02 coaching staff.

2:53:04 >> Mark, you are the heart of this of this

2:53:06 franchise. Congratulations.

2:53:07 >> Thank you, Drake. Thank you so much,

2:53:09 >> Josh Bo. That that right there is what

2:53:11 Banana Ball is about. Back to you guys.

2:53:13 Could not agree more, Drake. And Mark

2:53:15 Smith, as humble as they come, uh he

2:53:17 could not be more wrong saying his job

2:53:20 here at Banana Land is minuscule. That

2:53:22 guy plays a major role on the defending

2:53:24 champion party animals. a big reason why

2:53:27 they were able to win it all last year.

2:53:30 Both for his play on the field and we've

2:53:32 talked about it at Nauseium, but

2:53:34 absolutely beloved by every human being

2:53:37 he has ever met in his entire life. And

2:53:39 and I'm that's just it's got to be a

2:53:41 fact. I know it is. As we welcome you

2:53:42 back inside the booth with Josh Tipsky,

2:53:45 Bo Scalla 71 Party Animals victory and

2:53:49 really cool stuff from Mark Smith there

2:53:50 at the end.

2:53:51 >> Yeah, I mean the Party Animals clearly

2:53:52 wanted him back as their designated

2:53:54 runner for another season. His role is

2:53:56 not small. I mean, you see him factor in

2:53:59 on the bases. He's such a big part of

2:54:01 them being such an entertaining team.

2:54:03 He's big on the culture side of things

2:54:05 in that locker room as well. An easy guy

2:54:07 for them to rally around. And son of a

2:54:10 gun, this team rallied offensively all

2:54:13 day long, scoring in six of eight

2:54:15 innings against the Savannah Bananas,

2:54:17 who have been the best pitching staff in

2:54:19 the Banana Ball Championship League. It

2:54:21 did not look like that today as the

2:54:23 Animals cruise to this seven to one

2:54:25 victory. And again, they get that monkey

2:54:28 off their back. They had lost each of

2:54:29 their last six games and now they are

2:54:31 back in that win column. And that's got

2:54:33 to feel so good for Mike Pasis and the

2:54:36 rest of his guys. And we'll see how the

2:54:38 Party Animals can parlay this into Las

2:54:41 Vegas this coming weekend. Uh, one of

2:54:43 the cities in this country that has

2:54:45 become signature for Party Animals,

2:54:48 Banana Ball. cannot wait to see what

2:54:51 happens as they kick off this next week

2:54:54 of Banana Ball on April 30th. It'll be a

2:54:58 little Thursday night affair. Party

2:55:00 Animals Coconuts 1000 p.m. Eastern.

2:55:03 First pitch on the Party Animals YouTube

2:55:05 channel. The very next night, the Clowns

2:55:07 and Firefighters will start their second

2:55:10 straight weekend of DS up in Richmond,

2:55:13 Virginia on the Firefighters YouTube

2:55:15 channel. And then just one game between

2:55:17 the Bananas and Tailgator this coming

2:55:19 weekend, but it is a massive one. In

2:55:21 fact, it's going to be the biggest in

2:55:23 Banana Ball history. Well over a 100,000

2:55:25 fans will be on hand at Texas A&M for

2:55:28 Nanners Tailgator on the Tailgator

2:55:31 YouTube channel because this is a Texas

2:55:33 Tailgator headlining game. Home game

2:55:35 will be on ESPN 2, the ESPN app, Disney

2:55:38 Plus, and as always, Bananaball free to

2:55:40 watch on YouTube. Yeah, how can you not

2:55:42 be excited about this slate of games

2:55:44 next weekend? Certainly going to be a

2:55:46 real thrill to see all of these battles.

2:55:48 And again, Bananas Tailgator, the

2:55:50 biggest crowd ever in Banana Ball's

2:55:52 history. And I know without a doubt it

2:55:54 will also be the loudest. I am thrilled.

2:55:57 It's going to be a really fun one from

2:56:00 College Station. Cannot wait to see the

2:56:02 Nanners and Tailgator do battle after

2:56:04 the Tailgator just swept the bananas in

2:56:06 the open final this past weekend. A

2:56:09 massive shout out to our entire cast and

2:56:12 crew across this odd weekend, Friday

2:56:14 night and Sunday afternoon. It starts

2:56:17 with the folks of the control room. The

2:56:19 best in the business and this broadcast

2:56:21 directed by Chris Haynes. Everybody in

2:56:23 the control room in Savannah. Phenomenal

2:56:25 job this week. And same goes for all of

2:56:27 our crew here in the Big Apple. Big

2:56:30 shout out to our producer Chad Reese,

2:56:32 our executive producer Josh Richardson,

2:56:34 our fellas down on the field, Drake Tol

2:56:36 and Sam Bowman, and the best in the biz,

2:56:39 the statistical savant of Banana Ball,

2:56:42 Mr. Josh Tleski. For our entire BTV

2:56:45 crew, I am Bo Scala saying so long for

2:56:48 now. Can't wait to see you on the Party

2:56:50 Animals YouTube channel on Thursday

2:56:52 night and then on the firefighters

2:56:55 YouTube channel on Friday night. Another

2:56:57 great weekend of banana ball ahead of us

2:56:59 as the nanners and party animals split

2:57:01 this two game set in Yankee Stadium.

2:57:04 Until we see you in virtual banana land,

2:57:06 we will see you later.

2:57:23 Why can't we get a triple in Yankee

2:57:24 Stadium?

2:57:54 Hey, hey, hey.

2:58:06 Hey,

2:58:14 hey, hey.
