Texas Tailgaters vs Loco Beach Coconuts in Amarillo, TX! (Game 3)

📝 Full transcript (4305 segments)

0:00 Gators swept Baton Rouge on the back,

0:03 quite literally, of our captain, the

0:05 Texas Kid Jordan Hussey. Now, same

0:08 scenario, 2 weeks later, to finish out

0:10 the College Tour at Starkville,

0:12 Mississippi,

0:14 in the home of Mississippi State. Reese

0:16 Hampton, yet again, sends one high in

0:18 the sky. Jordan Hussey trying to track

0:20 it down, can't quite track it down in

0:22 the air, but can track it down, send it

0:25 to Indiana Stanley, who tags out Reese

0:26 Hampton for the final out of the

0:28 ballgame as the Texas Tailgaters spoiled

0:31 the final game of the Party Animals

0:32 Headliner Tour in 2025 as they won it 4

0:36 to 3.

0:37 Then, it was time to go to Texas as we

0:40 began our Headliner Tour. John Reed,

0:43 game two in Texas, and win number one.

0:46 The Texas Tailgaters, their first win in

0:49 the Lone Star State by a final score of

0:52 3 to 2. And where else a better way to

0:54 do it with a better left-handed arm than

0:57 John Reed over those boys in black and

1:00 pink.

1:01 First of two wins in Texas, the second

1:05 coming a few weeks later in Round Rock,

1:07 where John Reed, yet again, able to get

1:10 the final out in a 4-2 victory over

1:12 those Party Animals to close out the

1:14 2025 Texas Tailgaters Headliner Tour.

1:19 However, the 2025 season not complete as

1:22 the Texas Tailgaters are playing their

1:23 first big league stadium in the state of

1:26 Texas. And Indiana Stanley, that first

1:28 Texas Tailgater tater as he sent one

1:31 into the Crawford boxes and a big time

1:34 long ball from Indiana Stanley, who led

1:37 the Tailgaters with four home runs in

1:39 2025.

1:41 The final Tailgater go ya-ya 2025 was

1:44 Zach Watson off of Dakota Steel's all

1:47 Britton in Houston into the Crawford

1:50 boxes in what a way to end the 2025

1:54 world tour in the Lone Star State and in

1:56 a big [music] league ballpark. The 2026

1:59 season started off with a banger for the

2:01 Texas Tailgaters this last weekend in

2:03 Florida State in front of 60,000 people.

2:06 Chris Clark told everybody he was

2:09 Preston Keith and then threw the camera

2:12 on the ground. The third overall pick in

2:14 the 2026 Banana Ball Player Draft was

2:16 having a time as was Taj Porter during

2:19 our first run silly of the night. But

2:22 then our first trick play of 2026 came

2:25 from our sixth round draft pick [music]

2:27 Brett Donnie Allen, the wonder from down

2:30 under goes between the legs with Nigel

2:33 the Crocodile on his [music] bill and

2:35 then a little backflip action to leave

2:38 in between the lines. The action only

2:40 continued to pick up after that when

2:42 Dakota Steals All Brettman sent an

2:45 absolute dart to third and then Jordan

2:48 Bartlett I got time to do a trick play.

2:51 The diving grab book it and then the

2:53 trick play as well. Book it from JB.

2:56 Perhaps the coolest moment of the night

2:58 was Travis Maniot hitting the first home

3:00 run in Tailgaters history in a football

3:02 stadium and then he had bits to say. You

3:06 just hit a home run in front of 60,000

3:08 people. How do you feel? Well Brett,

3:11 plain and simple, I'm the best there

3:12 ever is. I mean [music] I wake up in the

3:14 morning and I

3:16 piss excellence.

3:17 I'm I'm a big hairy American winning

3:20 machine. If you ain't first, you're

3:21 last.

3:23 >> [cheering]

3:26 >> And then we went to Frisco where I met

3:29 my new best friend and the official

3:31 mascot of the Texas Tailgaters.

3:35 It's Grub wearing a blue [music] cowboy

3:37 hat, that big old tail on his back and a

3:40 man who can eat every single [music]

3:42 piece of food at the tailgate. The

3:44 official unveiling of the Tailgaters

3:46 mascot had waited for a while but

3:48 something we've seen a whole lot is our

3:49 shortstop [music] Jordan Hussein do it

3:52 stuff like that. I mean, come on, Fiber.

3:55 Wearing a cowboy hat with a feather, the

3:56 Texas [music] kid, the captain, and

3:59 arguably one of the best shortstops

4:00 defensively in all of an animal. So

4:02 good, we had to see it again, [music]

4:04 but we're not showing you the same play

4:06 right here. Yes, Jordan Hussey, five

4:08 trick plays last Saturday night in

4:10 Frisco. [music] This his fifth right

4:12 here, a barehanded catch for out number

4:15 two in the top of the ninth inning. But

4:17 the best moment of the night did not

4:18 come from defense, but rather offense.

4:20 Take it away, Ryan Stone. It's golden

4:22 batter, KYLE K-MART MARTIN.

4:28 WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU WANT?

4:29 In the biggest moment to this point of

4:31 the Tailgaters season,

4:33 down by one point in the bottom of the

4:35 ninth, backs against the wall against

4:37 C.J. Williams,

4:39 one and oh.

4:41 Big on big.

4:45 K-Mart out to left field.

4:47 He ain't going back at the fence.

4:50 It's [cheering] gone.

4:51 It's gone.

4:53 It's gone.

4:54 Kyle

4:55 Martin's first home run of the season

4:57 ties us up

4:58 at three a piece.

5:00 Where would you rather be?

5:02 >> [cheering]

5:08 [cheering]

5:10 >> And hot bowl taco,

5:12 the first earned run C.J. Williams has

5:15 ever conceded.

5:17 THIS IS PHENOMENAL. [screaming]

5:21 The moment, never too big in the ninth,

5:23 but what about in showdowns? C.J.

5:25 Williams, Nick Lopez, bottom of round

5:28 number one. How would it end?

5:33 >> [screaming]

5:33 >> LO P, OVER THE HEAD OF GIDEON ANTLE.

5:36 IT'S GOING TO ROLL FOR A WHILE. GIDEON'S

5:38 GOT GOOD WHEELS. Get on your horse, Lo

5:41 P. Get on your horse.

5:43 ANTLE FINALLY GETS TO IT. LO P'S ON

5:45 THIRD, AND 80-GRADE ARM sails over the

5:48 head. Tailgaters win. Tailgaters win.

5:51 Tailgaters win. Nick Lopez walks it off

5:55 4-3, and we are so back in the Lone Star

5:59 State.

6:01 After going 4 and 4 over their final

6:04 eight games heading into the Banana Ball

6:06 Open,

6:07 something caught fire within the Texas

6:10 Tailgaters, and specifically their

6:11 33-year-old superstar, Kyle [music]

6:14 Martin.

6:14 >> In game one against the Fire Fighters

6:16 for the Texas Tailgaters, and K-Mart

6:18 sends one deep center field. K-Mart with

6:22 another long ball. Welcome to the action

6:26 HERE IN THE BANANA BALL OPEN.

6:28 First of two home runs for K-Mart in the

6:30 Open, and then Sunshine provided us the

6:32 play of the year.

6:33 >> Mason Maxwell, HARD HIT, SUNNY DIVES

6:36 OUT. TRICK PLAY. OH, IT'S A DOUBLE TRICK

6:39 PLAY. IS THAT the play of the year?

6:42 Jonathan Sunshine Ludders lays out, but

6:45 through the legs bucket, throws it to

6:47 first. Taylor Justice between the legs

6:50 bucket.

6:51 That was psychotic.

6:53 >> This is Banana Ball. And from arguably

6:57 the play of the year to the play that

7:00 helped win the Tailgaters the equalizer

7:02 point and win the ball game on Friday

7:04 night.

7:04 >> McDowell over to J5, between the legs,

7:08 and that's the equalizer point for the

7:10 Tailgaters. Double trick play.

7:12 >> Bucket. Bucket. And just like that, the

7:15 Texas Tailgaters, off the backs of the

7:18 Texas kid and Taylor Justice, win the

7:21 equalizer point. This is vitally

7:23 important.

7:25 With the win on Friday night against the

7:26 Fire Fighters, the Tailgaters faced off

7:28 in game one of the Banana Ball Open

7:30 championship against those Savannah

7:32 Bananas. And how about a start to it

7:34 from Jordan Houssain? A little bucket

7:37 there on a 6-4-6-3

7:39 double play. I've never seen anything

7:41 like [music] that in your entire life.

7:43 And then, we hadn't seen this yet this

7:45 year, either. Jordan Bart, it's his

7:47 first home run in his Banana Ball career

7:50 en route to putting the Tailgaters up

7:52 two points to none there in the third

7:55 inning. Feeling really good about those

7:57 boys in blue and orange. Now, let's feel

7:59 a little bit better. Eighth inning, need

8:00 three trick plays to win the equalizer

8:02 point. Book it. That is now 13 to 12 in

8:06 the trick play category. Bounce her

8:08 Taylor Justice tough play. Joe Sparano

8:09 loses the cowboy hat. Book it yet again.

8:12 13 trick plays a piece to get the final

8:14 out of the inning. Taylor Justice

8:16 bounces it off the turf like LaMelo, and

8:18 that's how the Tailgaters win the

8:20 equalizer point. And then, here's how

8:22 they won the ball game.

8:24 With the game on the line.

8:28 HIGH FLY [cheering] BALL DEEP OUT TO

8:30 RIGHT CENTER FIELD. WATTS IT ON HIS

8:32 HORSE. HE DOESN'T GET THERE AS IT BANGS

8:34 OFF THE WALL. TY JACKSON WILL SCORE

8:36 [cheering] EASILY. OVERS LOOKING FOR

8:38 THREE BASES. HE'S OUT!

8:41 PERFECT RELAY BY JORDAN HUSSEIN.

8:43 [cheering] FANTASTIC D BY JORDAN BART.

8:46 AND THE TAILGATERS HANG ON THREE-TWO

8:48 WINNERS. WHAT DO YOU KNOW about that

8:50 Jordan Jordan connection? AND THE TEXAS

8:53 TAILGATERS COME IN HERE AND UPSET the

8:56 Namesake of the Sport to win game one of

8:59 the first ever Banana Ball [screaming]

9:02 Open. From a game one victory to winning

9:04 the whole thing the very next day.

9:06 >> Tailgaters putting this in the hands of

9:08 their all-star from the season ago in

9:11 Nick Lopez.

9:12 The O2.

9:14 THAT'S HIT WELL. DEEP OUT TO LEFT.

9:17 ALEXIADES ON HIS HORSE.

9:19 >> [cheering]

9:20 >> IT SETTLES ON THE WARNING TRACK. LOPEZ

9:22 AROUND SECOND.

9:24 Reece gets to the ball. Lopez around

9:27 third.

9:28 No relay. Nick Lopez clinches a playoff

9:32 spot for the Texas Tailgaters.

9:35 And the boys in blue and orange

9:38 are going to win a playoff spot.

9:54 >> We just never gave up, man.

9:56 You know, in the locker room we're

9:56 talking, we're going to beat these guys.

9:59 They got us last year

10:01 and the first couple games this year and

10:02 we never gave up. That's the difference.

10:08 Amarillo by early afternoon. Amarillo is

10:11 indeed on our minds. The Loco Beach

10:13 Coconuts have had nothing but winning on

10:15 their minds this weekend. A 6-4 dub

10:17 Friday and then a dominating 7-3 win

10:20 last night have given the boys from the

10:22 beach an opportunity to sweep the Texas

10:24 Tailgaters here in the helium capital of

10:27 the world. Will Ethridge gets the banana

10:29 ball for the Coconuts [music]

10:30 as Jonathan Hughes for the Tailgaters as

10:33 we are so blessed to watch the two

10:35 rookie arms make their first-ever

10:36 regular season starts here in [music]

10:38 this sport.

10:40 Come on in AND STAY A WHILE. HE is the

10:44 voice of the beach, AJ Swiatek. I'm

10:47 Brett Loftis here as the voice of the

10:48 Texas Tailgaters. We just told you

10:50 dominant 7-3 win last night, AJ Swiatek.

10:54 Now, the Coconuts looking for their

10:56 first-ever three-game sweep in the

10:58 first-ever three-game history of their

11:00 existence. Bingo. I mean, you couldn't

11:02 script it any better for Loco Beach.

11:05 First-ever series with a trio of games,

11:06 they win without even needing the third

11:08 game. Loco Beach has already secured

11:11 this series against the open champion

11:13 Texas Tailgaters, but they're not

11:15 stopping there. I packed my broom on

11:17 this [music] road trip for a reason. The

11:18 Coconuts are here. They're ready to

11:20 sweep in Amarillo by early afternoon.

11:23 >> Amarillo by early afternoon. Now, here

11:26 at Hodgetown the usual home team here,

11:29 the Texas Tailgaters obviously this

11:30 weekend. No, it's the Amarillo Sod

11:33 Poodles.

11:34 But you may be wondering, as I'm sure my

11:36 youngster to the right is, what exactly

11:39 is a Sod Poodle?

11:41 Rex Castillo, he's been going around

11:43 [music] trying to find out that as well.

11:45 Mr. Rex, what did you end up finding

11:47 out?

11:49 Amarillo has been such a wonderful host

11:51 for Banana Ball. For the three sold out

11:53 games right here in Hodgetown Stadium,

11:55 home of the Amarillo Sod Poodles. Got to

11:57 be honest though, I don't know what a

11:59 Sod Poodle was, so I decided to ask some

12:01 people to get their thoughts. A Sod

12:03 Poodle?

12:05 Yep.

12:06 Uh

12:07 it's a poodle that's sad, but people

12:09 don't know how to say sad, so they say

12:10 sod. Dog that wears socks.

12:14 Uh it's a chipmunk.

12:18 Yep.

12:19 Um it's a poodle that you put in a sock

12:21 and it's like a puppet that you show to

12:23 kids. No, that's a sock puppet. SOCK

12:26 PUPPETS.

12:28 IS IT A TYPE OF POODLE THAT lives in the

12:29 sod? What?

12:32 I think it's a honey badger.

12:34 Right?

12:36 Sod poodles are things that get in the

12:38 way of good order at times. I have a dog

12:40 at home, Charleston Land. I just think

12:43 of Barbies and stuff out of order. I'm

12:45 OCD, I'm sorry. What did he say?

12:47 A Sod Poodle is a wet poodle.

12:51 What? That's a sopping poodle.

12:53 I A Sod Poodle is a grass dog. It is

12:57 actually a like It's like a prairie dog.

12:59 I don't know what like kind of specie

13:01 like what it's under, but it is a like

13:03 prairie dog. Like a prairie dog, but for

13:05 Texas maybe? I don't know.

13:06 >> It's a prairie dog. What happens to be

13:08 one of my favorite animals.

13:12 A Sod Poodle is A.J. Swiatek,

13:15 a prairie dog. Correct. So you see those

13:17 prairie dogs. Do they bark?

13:20 What noise does a prairie dog make?

13:23 >> [laughter]

13:24 >> Yep, exactly. That little fellow right

13:26 there is wolfing got us 100%. [laughter]

13:30 Reks C Steelo asking all the guys. Some

13:32 of them knew some of them didn't.

13:34 I To be quite honest with you guys, had

13:36 no idea what a side photo was myself

13:38 coming into this weekend. So blessed to

13:40 learn from our good friend Reks C Steelo

13:42 exactly what that was. Now what I want

13:45 to learn, I know them spoiler alert, but

13:46 what I would like to relearn again from

13:49 our fearless leader and owner Banana

13:50 Ball, how about those 11 rules of our

13:53 sport? Jesse Cole, talk to us.

13:59 Banana Ball is the fastest and most

14:01 entertaining show in sports. And the 11

14:03 rules guarantee the most fans first

14:05 experience every second. Unbelievable!

14:08 WELCOME TO THE BANANA BALL CHAMPIONSHIP

14:10 LEAGUE. Rule number one, win the inning,

14:13 win the point. The team that scores the

14:15 most runs in an inning wins the point.

14:18 >> IT'S A WALK-OFF WINNER to the greatest

14:20 [cheering] BALL

14:21 TEAM!

14:22 OH MY GOODNESS! WITH the equalizer

14:24 point, trick plays provide the away team

14:26 an opportunity to earn a point going

14:28 into the final inning.

14:29 And in the final inning, every run

14:31 counts as a point.

14:33 Rule number two, Banana Ball has a

14:35 two-hour time limit, guaranteeing that

14:38 every game is fast-paced and

14:40 action-packed.

14:41 Rule number three, no stepping out of

14:44 the batter's box. If you do, it will

14:46 result in a strike.

14:47 >> Max stepped out of the box, and because

14:48 he stepped out of the box, that's it!

14:50 Rule number four, no bunting cuz bunting

14:54 sucks. If you bunt, you'll be thrown out

14:56 of the game. Rule number five, batters

14:59 can steal first base.

15:00 >> Ball three, CAN HE TAKE IT OFF FOR FIRST

15:02 THROW FROM LE'ROY? IN TIME!

15:04 RULE number six, there's no walks. Walks

15:08 are ball four sprints. The batter can

15:10 advance as far as they want until every

15:12 position player touches the ball. NO

15:14 DEFENDERS HAVE TOUCHED THE BANANA BALL.

15:17 IT IS A FOUR-BASE SPRINT TO OPEN UP the

15:20 ballgame. Rule number seven.

15:22 No mound visits.

15:24 Nope.

15:25 Rule number eight. Foul balls caught by

15:28 a fan count as an out.

15:36 Rule number nine. The showdowns. In

15:38 showdowns, the best of the best face off

15:41 in the biggest moment. One hitter versus

15:43 one pitcher with one fielder behind him.

15:46 And the hitter has to score.

15:49 >> [cheering]

15:52 >> Rule number 10. The banana ball

15:54 challenge rule gives the coaches and you

15:56 the fans a chance to impact a call on

15:59 the field.

16:00 >> [cheering]

16:00 >> Rule number 11. The golden batter. Once

16:03 a game, each team can give any player in

16:05 a bat regardless of the lineup. This

16:08 offers the biggest matchups on the

16:09 biggest stage.

16:19 >> [cheering]

16:22 >> And those are the rules of banana ball.

16:34 A 110° and a sunshiny day from Amarillo,

16:38 Texas. Hodgetown has played [music] host

16:40 to a couple of phenomenal banana ball

16:43 games between these Loco Beach Coconuts

16:45 and the Texas Tailgaters. The Coconuts

16:47 lived up to the comeback term on night

16:49 one, didn't need it on night two, and

16:52 now they're tasked with playing some

16:53 defense against tonight's home run

16:55 hitter.

17:12 She seems to have a hobby horse instead

17:14 of a bat.

17:17 You can stand on this side. Here you go.

17:19 >> Give it your best swing.

17:26 OH, HE TAKES THE HACK. JUST MISSES IT.

17:30 And KP is talking trash.

17:38 He's got a phone call in the middle of

17:39 THE INFIELD?

17:41 OH, JUST MISSES.

17:47 GET out there, Bart.

17:52 Challenging KP FOR THE BALL.

17:54 OH!

17:57 GIVE HIM A CHANCE.

18:05 FAIR BALL!

18:07 FAIR BALL!

18:10 THERE'S MADNESS.

18:12 ANDY ARCHER DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH

18:14 THE BALL.

18:19 >> [cheering]

18:19 >> THE TAILGATERS TAKE THE FIELD.

18:23 BRAYLON ROUNDS SECOND. THE BALL GOES IN

18:26 THE CENTER.

18:31 He's rounding THIRD WITH HIS HOBBY

18:32 HORSE.

18:36 The ball's coming in. He's

18:39 He's

18:40 safe!

18:42 >> [music]

18:56 >> Man, that young man LOOKS JUST LIKE KYLE

18:58 MARTIN. Speaking of Kmart, he had a

19:00 dinger last night. Let's take a look at

19:02 her highlights from what, 16 hours ago?

19:06 Whenever we were last here at Hodgetown

19:08 Stadium.

19:09 >> It's started in the first. Right field.

19:11 That's going to land in the gap.

19:14 Parker has trouble getting it up. It's

19:15 Kyle Martin. Got to walk off there in

19:17 the bottom of the first. HOME FIRST

19:19 INNING WINNER

19:21 FROM THE SOUTH.

19:24 YEAH, YOU KNOW, YOU SAW the Tailgaters

19:25 started things off with a lead. It was

19:27 1-0, then quickly 1-1. Brett Carson

19:30 ready for revenge against his former

19:31 team, picked up a couple of knocks in

19:33 that to go. Armani Henderson secured a

19:35 run that would turn into a point. Then

19:38 it's a 2-1 lead and here's your showman

19:39 of the night, Joseph Meatball Filomeno.

19:42 This was really when the tide started to

19:44 turn in favor of the Coconuts. The game

19:47 rolled forward, the Coconuts kept

19:48 rolling on. They were able to secure the

19:51 equalizer point with this double trick

19:53 play from Schatagney to Jacobo. The

19:56 middle infield was sharp. It made it a

19:58 4-2 ball game through eight.

20:01 And Ben Parker shows that you don't

20:03 always need a trick play to be

20:04 phenomenal on defense. Zack Smith came

20:07 in in the ninth after his team provided

20:09 three more runs of insurance in the top

20:11 half. Kyle Martin got his league-leading

20:14 fifth home run, [music] but that was all

20:15 she wrote for the Texas offense against

20:18 Zack Smith. He closed things down from

20:20 there and secured Loco Beach the win and

20:23 the series. Now up 2-0 [music] against

20:25 the Tailgaters in their home Lone Star

20:27 State. This was what got it done from

20:29 Smith. Swinging a miss for the win. The

20:32 Coconuts advance to 6-7 and evening ago.

20:36 Joe Filomeno,

20:37 the showman of the game,

20:39 Brad, it really felt like domination for

20:40 the teal and orange from the jump.

20:42 Because it was. I mean, what they've

20:44 done in games one and two has been

20:46 nothing short of exceptional. Death by a

20:49 thousand paper cuts. 17 hits last night

20:52 AJ Swipes taken, as you see him down

20:54 there, they only had two extra bases. 15

20:56 of them were one-baggers. And the only

20:58 two extra base hits they [music] had

21:00 were doubles. I mean, they've scored 13

21:02 points on the weekend. They had They

21:04 exuded all of their power Friday night.

21:06 I mean, last night [music] they just

21:08 kept continuing on getting all those

21:10 singles and there you go. BEACH GO BANG.

21:12 LOOK AT THAT. 13 points, 22 runs, 27

21:14 hits and three dingers. Those are the

21:16 stats for this Coconuts offense for the

21:18 first two games in Amarillo. Yeah, I

21:20 mean, that's a recipe for success

21:21 [music]

21:21 no matter how you look at it. 13 points

21:23 in two ball games in Banana Ball puts

21:25 you in really, really elite company. It

21:27 came behind a pair of Tanner Allen home

21:29 runs and an Eric Asberg big fly on night

21:31 one and then on night two, as you said,

21:33 it was really about the counting stats.

21:35 17 hits, 15 singles and it gives us a

21:38 chance to look at the top hitters in the

21:39 BBCL. All these guys ate last night.

21:42 Dane Toplin, Ben Parker, Tanner Allen. I

21:44 mean, [laughter] I'll tell you what,

21:45 being in second, being in third when

21:47 you're trailing a guy like Jackie

21:48 Bradley Jr. has to feel like you're at

21:50 the top of the leaderboard. The former

21:52 MLB All-Star leads the BBCL in hits but

21:54 the Coconuts are right there with them

21:56 with the top of their order. Coconuts

21:58 are tied for the lead entering today in

21:59 hits and also tied for team batting

22:01 average as well. Don't forget about

22:02 Princess JB, Jordan Bart, sitting down

22:05 there in sixth with 18 hits on the year.

22:09 JB has been exceptional this [music]

22:10 weekend, couple multi-hit ball games

22:12 Friday night and then again at last

22:13 night as well. Let's take a look from

22:16 the top hitters to the top teams in the

22:17 Banana Ball Championship League.

22:19 Obviously, the Texas Tailgaters won the

22:21 Banana Ball Open so they've already

22:23 clinched themselves [music] a playoff

22:24 spot. At this point they're playing for

22:26 seeding and as it stands right now, they

22:29 would be the fourth seed.

22:31 Thank the good Lord above we got 48 more

22:32 ball games to play between now and then

22:34 but the Savannah sitting atop at 11 and

22:36 one, Firefighters [music] Clown playing

22:38 right now. That's a very pivotal game

22:40 when looking at the standings. Those

22:41 Poor Party Animals sitting down there in

22:43 the cellar and then the Coconuts slowly

22:45 climbing their way back up in the

22:46 standings with a serious opportunity

22:48 [music] to overtake the Firefighters

22:50 here this afternoon. Obviously,

22:51 depending on what happens here in

22:52 Amarillo and depending if we get a

22:54 repeat of what happened last night in

22:56 Greenville if the Clowns can get it done

22:58 as well. Those are your Banana Ball

23:00 Championship League standings.

23:03 A young man

23:04 we just looked at

23:06 that helped get the coconuts the W last

23:09 night. I call him a good friend of mine.

23:12 His name is Zach Smith. Rex Destio

23:13 [music] caught up today with him.

23:15 >> [cheering]

23:18 >> Hey thanks guys. We're now with one of

23:19 the pitchers from last night who kept

23:20 the Loco Beach Vibes very high. Zach

23:22 Smith shutting the door and sealing the

23:24 series win for the Loco Beach Coconuts.

23:26 Hey that's the first one in the brief

23:27 history of the Coconuts. How does that

23:30 when you reflect on that what does that

23:31 mean to you?

23:32 I mean means everything uh

23:35 our first three game set and uh after

23:37 winning game one and game two we have an

23:38 opportunity to come for a three game

23:40 sweep. So uh

23:41 hopefully the first of many. Amarillo

23:44 maybe a new spot for a lot of us but you

23:45 used to play here as a Sod Poodle and it

23:48 was back in 2020 as you told me a very

23:50 different world now back then. Now

23:52 you're playing in front of sold out

23:53 7,000 people. When you reflect on that

23:56 what does that mean to you?

23:57 Uh I mean honestly I didn't think I'd be

23:59 coming back here and it it's such such a

24:01 joy to be back here uh

24:03 you know catching fly balls during BP

24:05 just brings back so many memories I mean

24:07 during COVID 2020 this was like one of

24:09 the only baseball leagues going on at

24:11 the time and uh they followed all the

24:13 regulations and they still had the

24:15 biggest crowds in the world at the time

24:18 and coming back here with with a sold

24:20 out show

24:21 three games in a row is uh it's it's

24:24 nothing short of spectacular. If you

24:25 were to go back in time and tell [music]

24:27 that younger Smitty hey you'll be doing

24:29 this in a few years impacting all these

24:30 fans signing autographs left and right

24:32 what would he [music] say?

24:34 I I would he would probably say like

24:36 yeah it's going to happen but not I

24:38 would not expect through banana ball. I

24:39 I

24:40 definitely thought it was going to be a

24:41 different route uh

24:43 coming back here

24:44 but but I could not be happier

24:47 uh

24:48 coming back here in a in a Loco Beach

24:50 uniform. Seems like a lot of gratitude

24:52 in your performance as well. We got to

24:53 wrap this up here and just to keep

24:55 myself accountable as our good friend

24:56 Brett Lasko says between you, me, and

24:58 God. I did call him the wrong Zach on

25:00 Friday. So, I just wanted to apologize.

25:02 So, Manny has stamped his name into this

25:04 into this sport, right? So, my bad.

25:06 There's Manny. Bring it in. Bring it in.

25:07 Bring it in. There we go. There we go.

25:09 See, all vibes are high now. Guys, back

25:11 to you.

25:15 Between me, you, and God, Rex Castillo,

25:17 we got a couple of youngsters in Banana

25:19 Ball experience taking the bump.

25:22 Jonathan Hughes, Will Ethridge. Couple

25:23 of rookies, couple of guys who are

25:24 coming in a lot of relief dudes so far

25:26 this year, but have yet to make their

25:28 first career regular season Banana Ball

25:30 start. Jonathan last week in the open

25:32 did start in game one against the

25:35 Bananas game two of the open for the

25:37 Tailgaters. Will Ethridge, oh man, he's

25:40 getting it started today for the

25:41 Coconuts. And so far this year, trying

25:43 to put him in a different role to try to

25:45 get those numbers both down in ERA and

25:47 up everywhere else. I and Tandon really

25:50 believe that Will Ethridge is going to

25:52 see those numbers fall because I

25:54 anticipate today, you're going to see a

25:56 different Will Ethridge than we've seen

25:58 this season. He's coming off of his best

25:59 outing of 2026, and he is so much more

26:02 comfortable as a starter. It's where he

26:04 found his home and made his meat and

26:05 potatoes in the Colorado Rockies system.

26:08 This is a guy who has been preparing for

26:10 this start all week long. It's just a

26:12 different mentality taking the hill out

26:13 of the bullpen versus as a starter.

26:15 Coach Craco has the utmost respect for

26:18 Will Ethridge, and that's why he's

26:19 taking the mound today. Jonathan Hughes,

26:21 you got to have a lot of faith in him

26:22 after he threw four innings of one run

26:24 base ball against the Savannah Bananas

26:26 en route to that win last Saturday night

26:28 at Grayson Stadium. However, in a relief

26:30 role very similar to Will as you just

26:31 mentioned, it is going to be giving him

26:34 a different look to see how these boys

26:37 can begin the ball game. And as we

26:38 talked about the storyline that's minor,

26:40 but now major here in game three of a

26:42 three-game series, how does pitching

26:44 come about? Because both of these two

26:45 teams seemingly could run out of arms.

26:47 And now you're at these two guys, how

26:50 How can they go today? You want to

26:51 stretch them out as far as you possibly

26:52 can. Expect [music] four to five plus

26:55 innings from both Ethridge and Jonathan

26:57 Hughes. Those are your starting pitchers

26:58 this afternoon.

27:02 What about your starting broadcasters?

27:05 A.J. Swiatek

27:07 from Ball State University.

27:09 >> [laughter]

27:10 >> We're not coming off the bench today,

27:11 baby.

27:12 Couple of starters up here in the booth,

27:14 man.

27:14 >> [cheering]

27:15 >> I'm ready to see that grill get started.

27:16 Based on the first two games of this

27:18 series, I feel like we're in for another

27:19 treat. Free fret.

27:22 I wish Peter Caliendo would bring me a

27:23 treat.

27:24 What kind of treat do you want from

27:25 Peter?

27:27 Something.

27:27 >> [cheering]

27:28 >> Tell you what.

27:29 Lopes got something for us.

27:32 What a treat. OH, FREE

27:34 YOUR TEXAS TAILGATERS.

27:36 The designated hitter, number nine, Nick

27:40 Mastroelianni, [cheering]

27:43 Lopes.

27:51 In left field, number two, ZACH

27:56 WATSON.

27:56 >> [screaming]

28:12 >> THE EXTRA HITTER, number 27,

28:16 KYLE CAHILL

28:19 MARTIN. [screaming]

28:20 MARTIN.

28:30 >> [music]

28:33 >> AT THIRD BASE, number six, JORDAN

28:38 [screaming] BARR.

28:39 >> [groaning]

29:13 At second base, number 11, MAC

29:18 DUNFORD.

29:41 OF THE PARTY.

30:01 [groaning]

30:03 JOSE [screaming]

30:04 GONZALEZ.

30:18 >> [music]

30:19 >> IN CENTER FIELD, number seven,

30:25 STANLEY.

30:31 >> [music]

30:40 >> AT SHORTSTOP, number five, the Texas

30:44 kid, JORDAN HOUSSAIN. [screaming]

30:48 >> [cheering]

30:59 >> THE STARTING PITCHER, number eight,

31:03 JONATHAN [screaming]

31:04 HUGHES.

31:22 THE Texas Tailgaters are coached BY HEAD

31:25 COACH JOE [screaming]

31:28 BY

31:31 uh coach Penny AND COACH ANDREW, father

31:35 of the tailgate

31:38 Bartman.

31:52 Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, we

31:55 ask that you please rise if able, remove

31:58 your caps, and join us in honoring

32:00 America with the singing of the national

32:02 anthem. Please welcome to the field,

32:05 Paige Brown.

32:09 Oh, say, can you see

32:15 by the dawn's [singing] early

32:17 light,

32:19 what so proudly

32:22 we hailed

32:24 at the twilight's

32:26 last gleaming, [singing]

32:30 whose broad stripes and bright stars

32:35 through the perilous

32:44 >> [singing]

32:50 [gasps]

33:07 [singing]

33:32 [screaming]

33:36 [singing]

33:38 [cheering]

33:39 >> AMARILLO, TEXAS, GIVE IT UP FOR PAIGE

33:43 BUECKERS!

33:43 >> [screaming]

33:44 >> ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DAYS YOU'LL

33:47 EVER SEE ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH.

33:50 The boys in blue and orange, the boys

33:53 from the beach here under a beautiful

33:56 Amarillo sky. It's a smooth 73°

34:00 and how blessed are we

34:02 to get to watch Banana Ball.

34:06 Man, if that don't fire you up, your

34:08 fire starter broke. He's A.J. Swoboda,

34:11 I'm Brett Loftis. We got King Pookie

34:13 Bear as our producer today [cheering]

34:15 and my main man Mohawk Mike back in

34:17 Savannah, Keegan Woods, and we are so

34:19 blessed that you're choosing to join us

34:21 here on your Sunday afternoon wherever

34:23 you are in this world. And now let's

34:26 look at how the tailgaters will line it

34:28 up in their world defensively here in

34:31 game three Trying to avoid a three-game

34:34 sweep is what the Tailgaters are trying

34:36 to do. Maybe a little bit of a hangover,

34:38 if you will, from the Banana Ball Open,

34:39 but this defense should get it done. I

34:41 love seeing Zack Watson

34:46 Oh, man. Jason Hart looks a lot like

34:48 Zack Watson today. And he has a Stanley

34:50 in center, brother in right. They're on

34:52 the corners. Taylor Justice, Jordan

34:53 Barth up the middle. The best defensive

34:55 middle infield in Banana Ball. Hussein

34:57 and Ludes. Sunny number one, Hussein

34:59 number two in trick plays. Ty Tice, the

35:01 quiet father Porter, gets the start here

35:04 in game three behind home. Blake,

35:07 but who still will he be catching? We

35:09 already talked about it a little bit

35:10 here and his battery mate, Jonathan

35:14 the pride of Flowery Branch, South

35:17 Excuse me. Flowery Branch, Georgia, went

35:19 to Georgia Tech, played there for five

35:22 years. Then was an undrafted free agent

35:25 signing by the Philadelphia Phillies in

35:27 the COVID year of 2020. Was then traded

35:29 to the Braves in 2022, spent some years

35:32 in that Braves minor league system,

35:33 [music] and then all of a sudden, his

35:35 lovely wife, Miss Hannah, who's one of

35:37 the biggest Banana Ball fans in the

35:38 league,

35:39 after he gets released by the Braves in

35:40 2025,

35:42 Jonathan, try this Banana Ball thing. He

35:44 says, "No, I'm shocked. I don't know how

35:45 to pitch. I know how to pitch."

35:48 Jonathan comes to Savannah in September,

35:50 throws live to these Tailgater hitters.

35:53 >> [cheering]

35:53 >> And that was the thing that helped lead

35:55 Brandon Pennington to take this guy in

35:57 the ninth round of the Banana Ball

35:59 draft. A.J. Swaitek, a great story and a

36:02 guy who's getting his first regular

36:03 season start in the above. He gets a

36:04 lineup who's been hotter than the

36:06 surface of the sun in the Coconut Coast.

36:08 He's got a tall task on his hands cuz

36:10 this lineup proved Chris Clark was human

36:11 for the first time last night. A guy who

36:13 dominated the league, had to deal with

36:16 some real struggles against the team

36:17 that leads the BBCL in batting average

36:19 at 311. You see why. Look at the top of

36:22 this order. Tanner Allen, Ben Parker,

36:24 Dane Topkin. Those three do up in the

36:25 first will immediately test Jonathan

36:27 Hughes, but I want to highlight the guy

36:29 in the eighth spot. J.D. Erso gets the

36:31 start today at DH. For my money, that's

36:34 a top half of the league hitter who's

36:35 been coming off of the bench for Loco

36:38 Beach's crew. Erso, the DH, steps in for

36:41 Crocco's crew today.

36:43 And you're right, you're pointing at the

36:44 monitor. I have already I've already

36:46 referenced that, Buck. [laughter]

36:47 Thank you.

36:48 >> I just wanted to say it again.

36:49 >> Yeah, I mean, it is impressive. 311

36:51 [music] team average. We were talking

36:52 yesterday in the MLB,

36:54 the average is 240 across the league.

36:56 >> And the COCONUTS ARE WHAT?

36:57 >> 311.

36:59 >> [laughter]

37:00 >> MAN, I LOVE GOOFING WITH MY GUY A.J.

37:01 SWITEK. I was listening to him the whole

37:03 time.

37:05 >> [laughter]

37:05 >> T.A. Starpless.

37:07 Jonathan Hughes keep his tarps on.

37:11 But we're about to take top off his

37:12 grill.

37:13 Amarillo, Texas, are we ready to start

37:16 this party today?

37:19 All right. Well, in Banana Ball, we like

37:21 to say start the clock. But in Tailgater

37:24 country and in the great state of Texas,

37:27 we're going to say light the grill. So,

37:29 on three, I want you to help me start

37:31 this thing by saying light the grill.

37:32 You ready?

37:34 One, two, three.

37:37 >> [cheering]

37:39 >> SHOWTIME.

37:41 LEADING OFF FOR THE BARKING SQUIRRELS

37:44 of Banana Ball is being a holden by

37:46 Jonathan Hughes.

37:48 LET'S PLAY SOME BANANA BALL. One and oh

37:50 to Tanner Allen as we start 3 minutes

37:52 shy of 1:00 p.m. Central time here in

37:55 Amarillo. 12:57 to be exact. T.A. one

37:58 and one.

38:00 As you guys who were with us last night,

38:02 Tanner Allen cramped up a little bit

38:04 after his final plate appearance. Back

38:06 in the lineup today, I seen T.A. at

38:07 dinner last night after a wonderful Mike

38:09 Trout which we waxed poetically about

38:11 together for a while. And T.A. said,

38:13 "Yeah, I'll be good to play tomorrow."

38:16 Starting out the center.

38:17 INDY.

38:19 OH, BUCKET.

38:22 TRACKING BACK TO THE WARNING TRACK,

38:25 AND THEN HE PULLS OUT THE TEXAS TORNADO.

38:27 OH, NOW, INDY. Tanner Allen could do

38:30 nothing but give him a salute and a sign

38:32 of respect. What a way to start the ball

38:34 game. This is banana ball. Indiana

38:36 Stanley at the deepest part of the park

38:38 gets one behind the back for a trick

38:40 play. I thought there was no shot

38:44 that Indy was going to go for a trick

38:45 play right there. I thought he was going

38:46 to be good just to catch the ball.

38:48 That's why you got that guy playing

38:49 center field in your scorecard. Two and

38:51 0 now to Mr. Pumps, Ben Parker.

38:56 I got a funny one I want to tell you

38:57 between me, you, and God about Pumps, if

38:59 he didn't get on base here.

39:00 He didn't. Last night, he's talking

39:02 about social media, and he's talking

39:04 about how his social media does so well,

39:05 and how he knows social media and all

39:07 these other things. He posts all these

39:08 photos on there, and all of his

39:10 followers that he garners.

39:12 And

39:13 I asked him, I said, "Why do you think

39:14 that is?"

39:15 And he said, "Well, I know social

39:16 media." I said, "No, BEN, YOU LOOK LIKE

39:18 THAT.

39:20 That's why you do so well on social

39:21 media."

39:22 He's also hitting 417 as well. That

39:24 doesn't hurt.

39:25 Pumps, ooh. Three and one, thought it

39:27 was a ball. Now, have a first payoff

39:29 pitch of the ball game.

39:36 Out to center again, ball four Sprint

39:38 defense, will land over the heads of

39:40 Indy and brother. PUMPS TRYING TO GO

39:42 TWO, THROW BACK IN. A LITTLE BIT UP the

39:45 line. Ben doesn't slide, has a one-out

39:47 double. Stay hot, Pumps. Brett, for

39:49 those of you aren't familiar at home,

39:51 it's worth noting when there's three

39:53 balls in a count, you see the outfield

39:55 come in preparing for a potential ball

39:57 four Sprint, where all seven defenders

39:58 have to touch the banana ball. That

40:00 allowed Ben Parker to lift it beyond

40:02 both Jose Gonzalez and Indiana Stanley.

40:06 What's typically a catch for an out is a

40:08 double instead for Ben Parker. That's

40:10 why you work deep in the at-bats.

40:13 Big Mike.

40:15 Hitting four bucks himself this year.

40:18 Had another single on his resume. As you

40:19 seen earlier, he's one of those three

40:21 coconuts that have placed themselves

40:22 [music] in the top five hit leaders so

40:25 far in the BBC app. Ooh, good pitch.

40:28 Jonathan Hughes doesn't get the call.

40:29 Randy Ball is behind home plate today.

40:31 Reggie Lincoln's at first, Hector

40:32 Gonzalez is at second, and Kelly Dine,

40:34 the first full-time female umpire in all

40:36 of Savannah Ball, is at third.

40:41 Randy, you see he didn't go tops off. He

40:43 didn't tops off, but cut the sleeves off

40:46 of it.

40:46 He told me he wants to call himself the

40:48 pump up umpire.

40:50 Right there.

40:51 He'll pump up himself as Jonathan Hughes

40:53 gets his first pump cheer of the

40:55 afternoon for out number two. It's a big

40:57 spot for Hughes because the first two

40:59 batters he faced absolutely shelled

41:01 pitches that hung in the zone. One was

41:03 caught in center, one led to a double,

41:05 but there Hughes gets out two on his own

41:07 accord, one away from getting out of the

41:08 inning. He faces off against Jordan

41:10 Brewer. Oh.

41:11 I love Jordan Brewer.

41:13 I just I can't tell you guys enough.

41:15 You know, Brew, I've seen him at the

41:18 championship game last year in Savannah.

41:21 Great play by Todd.

41:22 And he and I talked a bunch. And I said,

41:24 "Brew, you know you're going to go early

41:25 in this draft. You just don't know where

41:27 you're going to go."

41:28 And he and I talked so much, you know, a

41:29 new brand new father. He's invited me to

41:31 his [music] house 15 times. I've yet to

41:32 go yet.

41:34 But just the same as he is with all of

41:35 us here in Bananaland, he's much of the

41:36 same in that locker room. A quiet

41:38 presence

41:40 that is just that, a presence. And when

41:42 he gets the turn it on, he's going to be

41:44 in rookie of the year conversation.

41:46 Right now in the driver's seat, two

41:47 balls and a strike.

41:50 Me and Jordan were able to play some

41:51 catch from the broadcast booth earlier.

41:53 Great guy. I I guess for me, when you

41:54 tell someone you love him, why are you

41:55 dodging going to his house? 15 invites?

41:57 It's like Hogwarts. Are you just hiding

42:00 them in the chimney?

42:01 >> busy guy.

42:02 And Brew's a dad. 2-2.

42:05 Ooh, showing off a little dad strength

42:06 there, spraying it out in the right

42:07 center field.

42:08 >> [cheering]

42:09 >> Andy plays it off the wall. Brew could

42:11 walk to second. It's a two-out RBI

42:14 double plates the first run for Loco

42:16 Beach. Jordan Brewer is no stranger to

42:18 success at Hodgetown. As a professional,

42:21 he hit over .300 in his time here at

42:23 this ballpark. Was a member of the

42:25 Astros double-A team, the Corpus Christi

42:27 Hooks. [music] No different. We're over

42:28 3,000 ft above sea level. The ball flies

42:31 very well. That one would have been a

42:33 double in just about every ballpark in

42:34 the country. It was ripped. I'll tell

42:36 you what, if that ball would have landed

42:37 about 3 ft to the left, two-way again.

42:39 They could have doubled alley out there

42:41 right in front of the Amarillo National

42:42 Bank Center. Asby Vining

42:45 0-1

42:47 Just the second game in the existence of

42:49 Loco Beach Coconut in which Asby Vining

42:52 is not the starting catcher. The extra

42:53 hitter is he for the teal and orange

42:55 today. Sunshine off.

42:58 >> [screaming]

42:59 >> AND AN RBI SINGLE for Asby Vining.

43:02 Sunshine almost had his 18th web gem of

43:04 the weekend, but instead it plates our

43:06 second run in the inning for the

43:07 Coconuts.

43:08 >> I mean, that's iron versus iron, isn't

43:09 it? Sunshine making another web gem or

43:11 Asby Vining getting another hit. Had a

43:13 multi-hit game last night. His hair is

43:14 still shining. Asby said this was one of

43:16 those weekends where he felt he needed

43:18 the purple shampoo ahead of today's game

43:20 to secure the sweep. Maybe it helped him

43:22 out there.

43:25 EO

43:30 Ooh, sprayed down the right field line.

43:32 Armani Henderson in a run and he'll take

43:34 a round at second, but will stay there.

43:37 Three straight hits now for these

43:39 Coconuts. I tell you what, too. Now

43:40 they'll raise it up a little bit more.

43:41 Not a coincidence that EO's batting

43:43 average is up over 40 points now. The

43:45 weekend of the NFL draft happens. Brett,

43:48 I love you and hate you at the same

43:49 time. You know that? Cuz you just took

43:50 the words out of my mouth and we're only

43:52 in the top of the first inning. I was

43:53 waiting a little longer for you to do

43:55 that. But man, Eric has had himself a

43:57 weekend. Already two multi-hit games.

43:59 Now he starts right where he left off.

44:01 In the sky

44:03 Indy, you got another one in you out

44:04 there, brother?

44:06 D'Trell, bucket.

44:09 Two runs come across for the Coconuts,

44:11 but two trick plays for these Texas

44:13 Tailgaters. A very important storyline,

44:15 trying to negate the equalizer point.

44:17 Something they didn't do for the first

44:19 ever time here in 2026 last night where

44:22 the Coconuts won it 9 to 8 in trick

44:24 plays.

44:26 So again, big top of the first.

44:28 We'll see what Will Ethridge and these

44:29 Coconuts can do against

44:32 the Tailgaters. As now, the defense here

44:34 for the Coconuts. Eric Osborne gets his

44:36 second start of the season behind the

44:38 plate. He's the battery mate for Will

44:40 Ethridge who has such a star-studded

44:42 right side of the infield behind him.

44:43 Really right side of the defense in

44:45 general. Between Gideon Antle, Sal

44:46 Jacobo, and Jordan Brewer, it is really

44:49 hard to find any green grass with a

44:51 banana ball. The team has 95 trick

44:53 plays, 28 coming from Jacobo. He's top

44:56 three trailing just a pair of trick play

44:58 leaders from Texas

45:01 in the league in trick plays. But

45:03 really, the story here today is Will

45:04 Ethridge.

45:06 Him and Eric Osborne are the battery for

45:08 the Coconuts this afternoon. And

45:10 Ethridge is a guy who I have been

45:12 waiting to see step into this role for

45:14 quite some time. Just listening to him

45:16 talk, you can tell he feels so cool,

45:18 calm, and collected as a starter. Wasn't

45:21 as comfortable out of the bullpen and

45:22 now today he's earned his chance to take

45:24 over on the hill.

45:26 I'm excited to see what Will has for

45:29 these Coconuts.

45:30 As we'll quickly look at Will and his

45:32 season stats. Again, an ERA much higher

45:34 than he would like. Six strikeouts to

45:35 four ball for sprints. But why don't we

45:37 also take a look now at the Tailgaters

45:40 lineup, one through nine. It has not

45:43 changed very much since that opening.

45:45 Nick Lopez at the top of the order, Zach

45:47 Watson, Kyle Martin

45:49 at one, two, and three. So again, a

45:51 great one, two, and three there for the

45:53 Texas Tailgaters.

45:57 We won't be able to look at it, but I'll

45:59 tell you the rest of the lineup.

46:00 Jordan Barth, Taylor Justice, Matt

46:02 Danford, Ty Porter, Jose Gonzalez, Indy

46:04 Stanley, and Jordan who say again not a

46:06 whole lot changing from either of the

46:08 last two nights here in Amarillo. Lopi

46:11 falls behind 0 and 1.

46:15 Also,

46:16 you know, I'm a big fashionista AJ

46:17 Swatek. You know this.

46:20 These uniforms

46:21 Is this hit in the sky left side?

46:23 Foul territory. Big Maple giving it a

46:25 chase. Fans?

46:28 Nope.

46:30 Bring your gloves.

46:31 These uniforms have not played well

46:33 either of these two teams this year.

46:35 They have a combined one regular season

46:37 win as there is your lineup. Thank you

46:38 so much. Tied fifth in the BBC on the

46:40 average for the Tailgaters hitting 289.

46:42 AJ made that point earlier.

46:45 Pinstripes for the Coconuts one win this

46:47 year. In the denims zero regular season

46:49 wins [music]

46:50 for the Tailgaters. They did get a win

46:52 in the open last week in wearing them.

46:53 HANG WITH THEM, DANE.

46:55 Protect those baked goods for out number

46:57 one.

46:58 These teams are combined one and seven

47:00 in the uniforms they're wearing today,

47:01 but something's got to give. And right

47:03 now it feels like Loco Beach has all the

47:05 momentum after winning games one and

47:07 two. They picked up where they left off

47:09 with a pair of runs. Will Ethridge able

47:11 to get his first out with some help from

47:12 the hot corner. And now Zack Watson set

47:14 for his first duel against Ethridge on

47:16 the 2026 tour.

47:18 Tailgaters have walked off

47:20 the first frame in each of the last two

47:21 nights here in Amarillo.

47:23 They only needed to score one run in

47:25 those first innings. Right here got to

47:26 score three to do it. Watty!

47:29 Oh, yeah. Let's go roll a little bit.

47:31 Out there in doubles alley. Maybe it's a

47:33 triple. Watty can still run well. He'll

47:36 pull up at second have a one out stand

47:38 UP DOUBLE. STAY HOT, WATTY.

47:40 My goodness, that's the seventh time

47:42 he's reached base this weekend in this

47:44 three game series.

47:46 Really good swing as well. I like to see

47:47 him attacking early in the count after

47:49 he saw Nick Lopez make good contact that

47:52 was robbed. It brings up another guy who

47:53 swings it well. Leading five homers for

47:55 K-Mart.

47:56 >> My Pookie Bear.

47:57 Uncle Pookie Bear, if you will. Kmart.

48:03 Oh my gosh.

48:06 Hang with him. Everybody able to get out

48:08 of the way of that.

48:10 Five home runs.

48:14 >> [laughter]

48:15 >> I'm sorry. I will tell you after this

48:17 next pitch.

48:18 >> [cheering]

48:19 [laughter]

48:20 >> What in the world?

48:21 >> Jason Arp, my July, has walked up here

48:22 in my favorite Cal costume. We need to

48:24 go to the booth, Cam.

48:25 >> Yep.

48:25 Let's take a look at him, actually. Just

48:27 so you guys can see it as well. There he

48:30 is. Oh my gosh. Yep, [cheering] there he

48:33 is. He's joined us here. Kmart.

48:36 Ooh, one and two.

48:40 I'm throwing my home run card on Kmart.

48:42 All right, you heard it here first.

48:47 All [cheering] right, right field. That

48:49 is long as his home run in the ninth was

48:51 last night.

48:52 Ooh, what a play by brother there.

48:55 >> [cheering]

48:55 >> All right, apparently I would owe

48:58 Jason on a cookout trade, which I'm

48:59 always down

49:01 to go out to eat with my July. All

49:02 right, Will, what you got here on a ball

49:04 and two against Uncle Pookie Bear?

49:07 Ooh, really good pitch there from Will.

49:10 We'll take it though, two balls and two

49:11 strikes.

49:12 Jason said that's right.

49:14 Man, this is the best third man in the

49:16 booth we've ever had in life. Come on.

49:19 >> [laughter]

49:19 >> I'm two seven.

49:20 Two two.

49:22 Ah, comes up empty there for out number

49:24 two.

49:25 And he going to call you baby boo. Will

49:27 Ethridge, first punch out of the game.

49:30 No cookout for you, Jason Arp.

49:33 Will Ethridge cooking with gasoline on

49:35 the hill. All right, Princess JB, it's

49:37 Jordan Bart.

49:39 Couple of back-to-back multi-hit ball

49:41 games this weekend in Amarillo. Staying

49:43 hot, the MVP of the Banana Ball Open

49:45 Tournament.

49:51 Just put a headset on you, Jason. All

49:52 right.

49:53 I have found another one.

49:56 Brett says Foul. Here's the deal.

49:58 Jordan Barth, best walk-up in banana

50:00 ball.

50:01 That's unanimous.

50:03 I can't take you seriously right now

50:04 with this headset over top of the cow

50:05 costume.

50:07 You got a dirt stain right here above

50:08 where your udder would go. I think that

50:10 would be the cow pie stain. [music]

50:12 From the promo. Left side, Shotti.

50:15 That's gone. See you later. Oh, that's

50:16 over the head of Brewer.

50:18 Into the stands. the dugout. So, Waddy

50:20 will score easily. First run of the

50:22 ballgame for the Tailgaters. [music]

50:23 And now Jordan Barth represents the

50:25 inning tying run. We're the comeback

50:28 kids.

50:30 It's an error for Payton Shottany at

50:31 short. I'm not exactly sure that looks

50:34 to be a routine play, but Jason, you saw

50:36 it right away. It was going well over

50:38 Brewer's head. Just air mailed it.

50:39 You're losing air in this cow costume,

50:41 Jay. Yeah, you know what? I think I

50:42 broke it on my run up here, but I'm just

50:44 holding it together. All right. See what

50:46 Taylor Justice said. I'm impressed

50:47 you're able to understand him. I'm just

50:48 hearing moo.

50:53 Y'all are Y'all are crazy. Taylor

50:54 Justice swinging a good stick lately.

50:56 Yeah, 387. Was hitting over 400 entering

50:59 this weekend.

51:01 I'm excited to see his walk-up

51:02 potentially. He may have a little bit of

51:04 two strikes here. He's getting two

51:05 strikes.

51:10 Fouls it off.

51:12 Hanging in there, kid. By the way, we

51:13 did not plan for Jason to come up here.

51:15 Neither [music] did Mekin Ashby plan to

51:17 look that good on the surfboard. I just,

51:19 you know, I just want to I just

51:20 surprised my good friend Brett Loftis up

51:21 there.

51:23 And AJ Switzer. Yeah, AJ.

51:28 Taylor, oh man.

51:29 He's hanging in there.

51:31 Seeing pitches.

51:33 All right. That's what good hitters do,

51:34 you know, with two strikes. They find a

51:36 way. They don't just go down easy. I

51:37 need your best play-by-play. Your best

51:38 impression of Brett Loftis here. All

51:40 right.

51:42 Got the O2 pitch coming.

51:47 Kicks and fires.

51:49 Ball up.

51:51 It's good, Jason. So, if you see that,

51:52 you see Taylor Justice right here?

51:54 Right. Two strike approach with two

51:55 strikes. We're we're doing whatever we

51:57 can for the boys with two strikes here.

51:59 Nick Lopez coming up with that.

52:01 Oh, that's a good eye right there. Oh,

52:02 come on.

52:04 Oh, Jason lost the headset. You can hear

52:06 it rattling around.

52:07 Brother Jared, two balls, two strikes,

52:09 two outs. It's hard to keep a headset on

52:10 this guy.

52:12 Let's see what TJ's got for him. See

52:13 deep. Ooh, he's hitting. He's honing.

52:16 >> [cheering]

52:16 >> Good hitters see pitches. Making Will

52:18 Ethridge work here. Yeah, regardless of

52:20 if the Tailgaters are able to fight off

52:21 this point, it's impressive they've got

52:23 the pitch count up to 22 on the starter.

52:26 It's always good.

52:27 Thank you, Jason. Hang in there, TJ.

52:29 >> [cheering]

52:30 >> Twos across the board.

52:32 Still not getting that call. Ball away.

52:36 >> [cheering]

52:36 >> What you got there, Brett?

52:38 That's a good pitch from Will Ethridge.

52:39 Ball four, spring training with tie the

52:40 inning.

52:41 >> [cheering]

52:42 >> This is true. Big time moment here in

52:43 the first. They are pitch fouled

52:46 straight back.

52:47 I love how we now have two play-by-play

52:49 guys in the booth. Mr. Moo, mind your

52:51 line.

52:53 >> [laughter]

52:55 >> 10th pitch of this AB. Here it is.

52:58 Will Will Ethridge shakes once, looks

53:01 back at second.

53:02 Ooh, man. I'm telling you.

53:05 I'm telling What are you telling me,

53:06 Jason? I'm telling you good hitters see

53:07 pitches.

53:10 Wow, that's really good analysis. I've

53:12 never heard that one. Denae's not going

53:13 to be able to Denae's not going to be

53:15 able to see anything after he gets up

53:16 from that handstand. Good hitters find a

53:17 way. Come on, WILL.

53:20 GOT HIM! BIG TIME OUT FROM WILL ETHRIDGE

53:24 as the Coconuts win the first inning two

53:26 to one. That's what I'm talking about.

53:28 Longtime Colorado Rockies farm hand gets

53:31 him to go around in so 11-pitch battle

53:34 that sends us down to the field with Rex

53:35 Castillo.

53:40 If you're around this guy I don't and

53:41 don't smile, I don't know what else to

53:43 do with him.

53:43 >> we're just checking in on today's

53:45 festivities. Still on the handstand. Hey

53:47 today real quick, I got to get my back

53:48 up against the wall.

53:50 Got to avoid the screen and just play

53:51 the game and

53:52 Kind of light-headed? We know we're a

53:54 really good team. We're coming off a

53:55 band ball championship open

53:57 victory and we're on the high of highs

53:59 there. So right now it's just one game

54:00 at a time. We We know that the past two

54:02 games are in the past. You have focus on

54:03 this game right here and tackle it and I

54:05 know we're going to be just fine.

54:06 Another streak unfortunately snapped

54:08 giving up the equalizer point for the

54:09 first time. But you guys set such a high

54:11 bar. Do you take that much pride in your

54:13 finding a really unique groove with

54:14 trick plays now? Yeah, you hit the nail

54:16 on the head. We take a lot of pride in

54:17 winning the equalizer point and also

54:18 defending the equalizer point. So last

54:20 night that was uncharacteristic for us

54:22 to give up the equalizer point but I

54:23 know today we're right back at it.

54:25 Captain Jordan is saying he sets a

54:26 really good tone for us so I'm feeling

54:27 really good about that tonight. Hey

54:28 look, a special moment that happened in

54:30 this series. This guy, an absolute

54:32 barrel on the unicycle, a double. Sunny,

54:34 could we see another big time hit on the

54:36 on the unicycle? I certainly hope so.

54:37 Whenever Mick wants the unicycle, I'm

54:39 all in for it. That was pretty special

54:40 last night or two nights ago to

54:42 hit a double, get a barrel. That was the

54:44 hardest hit ball I've ever had on a

54:45 unicycle so hopefully again soon. Hey

54:47 look, I am manifesting we're going to

54:49 see a home run on the unicycle one day.

54:51 Could be today. Sunny, thank you so much

54:52 my friend.

54:53 >> it man. Hey guys, let's head it back to

54:54 you.

55:07 >> [music]

55:20 [music]

55:24 >> You know JD Urso, Now batting, I think

55:26 the the sticky notes

55:28 may have

55:30 unintentionally

55:31 been put upside down on the foreheads of

55:33 his teammates there. But how blessed are

55:35 we? [cheering] JD Urso getting the

55:37 doesn't even enter today. University of

55:38 Tampa and Miami product at the U. I've

55:42 been waiting for this guy to get some

55:44 ABs and some volume ABs in the game all

55:46 [cheering] year. I've never seen those

55:47 three so serious, by the way. Especially

55:50 going a song that good. Oh.

55:53 Urso wears it. You know, I'll tell you

55:55 what, that fires them up because he

55:56 hasn't had the opportunity to run the

55:58 bases. He said this morning, knowing he

56:00 was in the lineup, Brett, it felt like

56:02 he was himself again for the first time

56:04 this season.

56:05 >> This guy lives,

56:06 sleeps, and breathes the game. And he

56:08 says he sees the ball infinitely better

56:10 in the day. He said he could face prime

56:11 Randy Johnson in the day and have full

56:13 confidence.

56:13 >> He did get an opportunity to pinch run

56:15 on Friday night in the win in that big

56:17 four-run ninth inning.

56:19 Other than that, though.

56:21 I think he's only what, pinch ran three

56:23 times this year? That's what I got down

56:24 here in my notes.

56:26 Gideon, 0-2 quickly.

56:29 Who isn't hot in this lineup right now?

56:33 Waddy,

56:34 how are you?

56:35 >> Actually, hold up.

56:36 Bucket.

56:37 Oh my gosh. Just one bucket there. One

56:40 sunshine laying on the ground. Good

56:42 sportsmanship. Zack Watson, how are you,

56:43 my friend?

56:50 Zack Watson.

56:52 >> [screaming]

56:57 >> Well,

56:58 I don't know if Zack can hear us from

56:59 there.

57:01 It would seem as if he's absolutely

57:02 dialed into the game.

57:05 Yeah, I think we'll

57:06 try to revisit with Waddy later on in

57:08 this ballgame.

57:10 >> [music]

57:10 >> Southeastern Louisiana at the dish.

57:14 Three trick plays

57:16 thus far for the Texas State.

57:20 Zero

57:21 for the Long Beach Dirtbags. Jonathan

57:22 Hughes

57:24 in his second inning of work.

57:26 Man, I'm telling you what, AJ.

57:29 I'm really trying to figure out the

57:30 strikes in here.

57:31 It's been very consistent, nonetheless.

57:35 It's just been tiny. It's a pin hole, so

57:36 it's going to be a really tough day for

57:38 pitchers if it keeps at this rate. And

57:40 like you said, all you care is that it's

57:42 consistent. It has been for both sides,

57:44 but if I'm down there and I'm a hitting

57:45 coach, the message is don't swing unless

57:47 if it is there.

57:51 That's exactly why.

57:53 That was That That was low. That ball

57:55 was low.

57:58 I'm trying to be graceful.

58:00 Full count. Got him.

58:04 SECOND PUNCH OF THE afternoon from my

58:07 good friend Jonathan Hughes, and most

58:08 importantly, out number two here in the

58:10 second.

58:12 Terrell.

58:14 Terrell. Run around, TERRELL. RUN AROUND

58:17 AGAIN.

58:19 SUNNY.

58:22 BUCKET. BUCKET.

58:24 SUNSHINE. TAYLOR. COME NOW.

58:29 BOYCE CITY GOING WITH AN EQUALIZER POINT

58:31 THIS AFTERNOON. Five to nothing in the

58:33 trick play battle, and the Tailgaters

58:35 got a chance to win their first point of

58:37 the ballgame here in the home half. Five

58:38 trick plays through two innings

58:40 defensively for the Tailgaters. That's

58:41 elite, and that's why this group leads

58:43 the league in the metric. I mean, this

58:45 team out tricks the best of them. You

58:47 see why. Sunshine makes it easy. What

58:50 you know about Michael Jackson? Billie

58:52 Jean is not my lover. Just a couple days

58:56 ago, the new Michael Jackson movie came

58:58 out, and we want to pay tribute to

59:00 probably his most country song, Billie

59:03 Jean. And so, down here on the field, I

59:05 got Abby, and I got Cayden, and they are

59:07 currently inside a pair of jeans. But

59:09 just down there, we have their partners.

59:10 It's going to be up to these two to hop

59:12 all the way down there, put their

59:14 partner in the pants with them, and hop

59:16 on back. That's right. We're celebrating

59:18 the King of Pop by finding the Queens of

59:20 hop. Amarillo, ARE YOU READY TO GO?

59:25 BILLIE JEAN RACE STARTS IN 3, 2, 1, GO!

59:30 AND they're hopping.

59:32 WE GOT TO GET TO YOUR partners and bring

59:33 it on back. This is where the race is

59:36 won or lost.

59:39 OH, YEAH, THEY'RE HOPPING.

59:41 Feel the rhythm.

59:45 CHANNEL YOUR INNER MJ. A COMEBACK from

59:48 Caden and Cambrie,

59:50 THE WINNERS OF THE BILLY JEAN RACE.

59:59 Now batting,

1:00:02 Billy Jean,

1:00:05 Man, I'm going to Vegas this weekend.

1:00:09 Think we're going to have to see some

1:00:10 Michael Jackson performances. Are we

1:00:11 still seeing that movie this afternoon?

1:00:14 Depends on if King Pookie Bear Mohawk

1:00:16 Mike's taking me to dinner or not, our

1:00:18 producer.

1:00:19 He told me he was.

1:00:21 We'll figure that out later. Mac and

1:00:22 Doodle's at the dish. Ball and a strike

1:00:23 on him.

1:00:24 Six, seven, and eight here in the

1:00:26 Tailgaters lineup.

1:00:28 Foul ball.

1:00:30 Out of the count.

1:00:32 Mac and Doodle told me he was miked up

1:00:34 when he won a lot of brownie points with

1:00:35 his bride Eileen last year.

1:00:38 I said, "Good for you, Mac. Store those

1:00:40 up as much as you can." TRICK PITCH.

1:00:43 GOT HIM! FIRST TRICK PLAY OF THE BALL

1:00:45 GAME BELONGS to the right-hander, Will

1:00:47 Ethridge. Man, it's a good day when Will

1:00:49 Ethridge is hitting the baby boot three

1:00:51 times through an inning and a third.

1:00:52 That's what you like to see. Behind the

1:00:55 back.

1:00:57 And a blistering heater elevated. Big

1:01:00 swing and a miss. Out one for Ethridge,

1:01:02 and he looks comfortable in this

1:01:03 starting position.

1:01:05 The biggest, the largest,

1:01:06 0 and 1.

1:01:10 TP is still trying to find his foot in

1:01:11 this weekend.

1:01:12 Getting that average back over 200 now.

1:01:15 That's great news.

1:01:17 Strikes on. Open it up a little bit. 0

1:01:19 and 2.

1:01:25 >> Flies up towards the sweets

1:01:27 and that will land on the hood of a 1997

1:01:31 red faded paint

1:01:34 F-150.

1:01:37 That's why you bring a glove.

1:01:39 Or wrench.

1:01:41 Or tarp.

1:01:42 Anything really to catch a bananimal. A

1:01:44 Yoshi.

1:01:45 And AJ Swatek.

1:01:47 Two balls and two strikes.

1:01:50 I don't think you can catch a bananimal

1:01:52 with your bare hands.

1:01:55 Yep. Don't give me that look.

1:01:57 You'll learn when you get older.

1:02:01 Well, I'm about to get older and it

1:02:02 feels so good.

1:02:04 What you turning 12? 13?

1:02:06 22. There's a song about that.

1:02:09 Okay, T-Swat.

1:02:11 Well, that is right. Your birthday's

1:02:12 coming up on the what? We come today?

1:02:14 Yeah, something like that. We come

1:02:16 today. Be 22 years old. Get to celebrate

1:02:18 in Las Vegas. That sounds good.

1:02:20 All right, Bale pitches coming here from

1:02:22 Will Everett.

1:02:24 >> [music]

1:02:28 >> OH, CALLED STRIKE THREE.

1:02:31 BABY BOO, DON'T DO IT TO HIM.

1:02:33 BACK-TO-BACK PUNCHOUT. Loco beach.

1:02:38 He's got me up here giggling and

1:02:40 smiling. What a pitch. Came in here

1:02:43 through the airway, I came out through

1:02:44 the back door.

1:02:46 For out number two. I don't know what

1:02:47 you just said. Bada bada boom. Will

1:02:50 Everett, Baby Boo. [laughter]

1:02:52 Chance to strike out his third batter.

1:02:53 OH, OUT TO LEFT. GOING BACK. GONE.

1:02:57 JOSE RODRIGUEZ SALAS WALKS HIS STUFF IN

1:03:01 THE BOTTOM OF THE SECOND. HE DON'T NEED

1:03:03 NO BABY BOO.

1:03:05 CUZ HE just goes boom.

1:03:09 Tie Kyle Martin at the TOP OF THE BANANA

1:03:11 BALL CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE with five home

1:03:14 runs in 2026.

1:03:18 Uh-huh. Not like that.

1:03:21 Brother, a beautiful swing to left.

1:03:23 That's that steak power, that big Texan

1:03:25 in him.

1:03:26 Fires me up.

1:03:35 Wow.

1:03:38 Baby Boo, Baby Boo.

1:03:39 Baby boom.

1:03:41 >> [laughter]

1:03:43 >> of the second inning.

1:03:45 Oh, man. Second inside-out homer this

1:03:48 year for Brother, fifth overall.

1:03:50 He's a heavy pull hitter, which means he

1:03:51 hits it to right field, right there. Oh

1:03:53 my gosh.

1:03:56 Ho- hope his teammates are okay.

1:03:58 Brother hit the A gap. He was not

1:03:59 stopping anytime soon.

1:04:02 Hey DJ LeMahieu, tell me about the folks

1:04:04 who've been getting trickery this year

1:04:05 in Banana Ball. Well, we all know about

1:04:07 Sunshine, four eight [cheering] trick

1:04:09 plays.

1:04:10 Probably set to lead this league in them

1:04:12 from start to finish. But, I'm on the

1:04:14 right side of the infield for the Loco

1:04:15 Beach Coconut. Sal Giacomino, Jordan

1:04:17 Brewer converted a nice double trick

1:04:19 play last [cheering] night. Giacomino

1:04:20 was a part of two double trick plays,

1:04:22 four total, to help Loco Beach knock off

1:04:25 the Tailgaters, secure the equalizer

1:04:27 point against the blue and orange for

1:04:28 the first time this season.

1:04:31 And really for a team that's in their

1:04:32 inaugural campaign, it's huge to have

1:04:34 leaders like Giacomino and Brewer

1:04:37 to get the trick plays going early and

1:04:38 often.

1:04:41 I [cheering] think it's crazy

1:04:43 that we have four of the top five

1:04:45 leaders in trick plays in this ballgame.

1:04:48 And then DR Meadows, Mount Rushmore

1:04:50 player in the history of the sport. Talk

1:04:52 about the evolution of Banana Ball. If

1:04:54 [cheering] there's a microcosm of it,

1:04:55 second year Banana Ball Looters,

1:04:57 third year Banana Baller Hussein, second

1:04:59 year Giacomino, DR, one of the historic

1:05:01 players in the history of Banana Ball,

1:05:03 and then Jordan Brewer,

1:05:05 also a rookie in Banana Ball.

1:05:07 One and oh to pumps as we begin the top

1:05:09 of the the inning.

1:05:11 Man, what a Banana Ball a game we've got

1:05:12 here today.

1:05:14 Coconut put up two in route to winning

1:05:15 the first. Brother goes ya ya watches

1:05:18 off in the second. Tailgaters lead the

1:05:19 trick play battle five to one.

1:05:21 >> [cheering]

1:05:21 >> And Jonathan Hughes trying to have a

1:05:23 rather efficient third. Stretch out this

1:05:25 outing as long as he possibly can. Not

1:05:27 off to the best of starts as pumped

1:05:29 ahead three and out.

1:05:31 Oh, even Ben thought that was a strike.

1:05:33 >> [cheering]

1:05:34 >> Late start out of the box.

1:05:36 And he'll just stay at first on the ball

1:05:38 for his play. Man, Pultz is having

1:05:39 himself a weekend and a season. How

1:05:41 about it? Through 13 games and some

1:05:43 change, this guy looks unstoppable. He

1:05:45 moves like a gazelle,

1:05:47 can lift your mom's car with her in it.

1:05:50 And that was a double and a ball for

1:05:51 sprint through two plate appearances

1:05:54 in the finale between these two teams.

1:05:56 It's going to be a little bit before

1:05:57 they see each other again, Brett.

1:06:00 When is the next time these two teams

1:06:01 [cheering] play?

1:06:05 Somebody look that up.

1:06:06 You know what I'm going to look up?

1:06:08 Right out to left field to see my good

1:06:10 friend Zach [cheering] Watson.

1:06:12 Hey, how are you, brother? Yeah, let's

1:06:15 go.

1:06:16 I can finally hear you.

1:06:17 We can [cheering] hear you. Let's go. I

1:06:19 can hear you now.

1:06:20 >> There we go. Good. We tried to talk to

1:06:21 you last time and we could hear you, or

1:06:23 at least the wind. The wind? The wind.

1:06:25 Ball for sprint defense. I had no sound

1:06:27 in my ear.

1:06:28 Well, that sounds wonderful.

1:06:31 How are you today?

1:06:33 I feel good. I love day games.

1:06:35 I wish you'd have got a triple there

1:06:36 earlier on that first at bat. Oh, come

1:06:39 in here for this. Show off those wheels

1:06:40 to the people.

1:06:44 Don't worry, Dane Toplin's not going

1:06:45 anywhere. You're good. Got to worry

1:06:47 about uh

1:06:48 Ben Parker going home this year. That's

1:06:50 yeah. That's got some wheels on him. You

1:06:51 wouldn't think it. You would. I could

1:06:53 You can literally see the veins out of

1:06:55 the back of his hamstring.

1:06:56 It's all muscle.

1:06:57 >> shouldn't move that fast though. You're

1:06:58 right.

1:07:00 He shouldn't. Speaking of which, Watty,

1:07:02 you put on 20 lb of pure muscle in the

1:07:04 off season.

1:07:06 As Armani Henderson takes off.

1:07:08 Oh, dive. And he'll be out.

1:07:09 >> Got him. TIME OUT,

1:07:10 >> [screaming]

1:07:11 >> YOU DON'T RUN ON THAT Texas-sized

1:07:12 Cannon, Lonnie. That dude's got a

1:07:14 cannon.

1:07:16 I'd be tired.

1:07:17 Um, 20 lbs you put on this off-season.

1:07:19 Yes, sir. Half?

1:07:21 Uh

1:07:22 a good diet, working out. A good diet?

1:07:25 That's not what your wife told me. She

1:07:26 told me you ate a lot of junk food.

1:07:27 >> I ate my butt off. You talking about eat

1:07:31 all day long.

1:07:33 But, good weight, good weight.

1:07:36 Playing at 185, the heaviest you told me

1:07:38 you've ever played in your baseball or

1:07:40 banana ball career. Yeah, that's the

1:07:42 biggest I was before that ever to play

1:07:44 was I think 170.

1:07:47 So, made a big jump. I feel good. The

1:07:49 body feels good.

1:07:51 And

1:07:52 >> [cheering]

1:07:53 >> the team's rolling.

1:07:54 We're going to start calling you the

1:07:56 biggest, the largest

1:07:57 here in Amarillo.

1:07:59 Oh,

1:07:59 yes, Lonnie. Yes, Lonnie.

1:08:02 Oh, man. I ain't that big. No, you are.

1:08:05 I got another one for you. Let's get

1:08:06 pitching coming up.

1:08:07 I want your best strikeout call here.

1:08:09 Ooh. Not that, actually.

1:08:12 Come up throwing. You're good. You're

1:08:13 good. You're good. [cheering]

1:08:15 Arm still looks good out there. RBI

1:08:16 single from Jordan Brewer.

1:08:18 Plates the first run here in the first.

1:08:20 Lonnie, seeing the evolution of this

1:08:22 game. Seeing the evolution of this sport

1:08:23 of the banana ball. You were a

1:08:25 firefighter at 24 and a now a tailgate-r

1:08:28 now here with us again this year. What

1:08:29 has it been your view seeing all of

1:08:31 this?

1:08:33 Oh, am I supposed

1:08:33 >> No, you can still talk. You don't have

1:08:35 to look at Ben. I mean, we can look at

1:08:36 Ben. We don't have to listen to Ben.

1:08:37 What has been You seen the evolution of

1:08:39 banana ball and the evolution of the

1:08:40 tailgate?

1:08:41 Man, this team's come a far way. I will

1:08:43 say this year our pitching has

1:08:45 [cheering] been lights out. I mean

1:08:47 we uh if you watch us in the banana ball

1:08:50 uh

1:08:51 open

1:08:51 >> series the open, yeah. If you watch us

1:08:53 there, we freaking were lights out. It

1:08:55 was awesome.

1:08:56 Uh

1:08:57 we are down a little bit, but down but

1:08:59 never out.

1:09:00 And but I mean, really this team has

1:09:02 come a long way. Last year we we didn't

1:09:04 get a whole lot of wins. A lot of things

1:09:06 didn't go our way. And that's part of

1:09:07 baseball is

1:09:09 not Some things might not go your way,

1:09:11 but how do you bounce back? And this

1:09:12 team's got a lot of fight in them. And I

1:09:14 love these dudes so much all around.

1:09:17 Zack, I'm sorry. I had a hard time

1:09:19 paying attention to you. How can you not

1:09:21 get starstruck when Meatball takes his

1:09:22 shirt off?

1:09:24 I want you to take your shirt off, too.

1:09:26 All right.

1:09:27 Oh, wow. Is that easy? Hey, he gained 20

1:09:30 lbs. That's what I That's what I did it

1:09:31 for. I wanted to come out here and look

1:09:33 big, you know?

1:09:34 >> was fully a bit. You don't have to. I

1:09:36 can also run it by Miss Jess if that's

1:09:37 what I need to do. No, she'll tell me

1:09:40 no. Oh, gosh. The chat's begging for

1:09:42 you. Yeah.

1:09:44 Oh, this is a good question, Ronnie.

1:09:46 Chad's actually participating.

1:09:48 You're from Oklahoma. Folks are asking,

1:09:49 are you ready to go to Tulsa in a few

1:09:50 weeks? Well, I'm not from Oklahoma, but

1:09:53 I lived there for a few years.

1:09:53 >> Correct. You're a native there, though.

1:09:55 You know that, man. But, I am actually

1:09:56 beyond

1:09:57 >> Ruston, Louisiana. I know where you're

1:09:58 from. I met you a native there, man.

1:10:01 I'm I'm I'm very ready to go to Tulsa.

1:10:02 I'm excited. Uh

1:10:04 one thing I am excited for there is the

1:10:05 golf. They have some really good golf.

1:10:08 He's right. Of course. No, they have

1:10:10 awesome golf. Zack, if you could

1:10:12 play a round with only three clubs, what

1:10:14 would they be?

1:10:15 Driver,

1:10:16 a seven iron, and a

1:10:20 uh

1:10:23 and a 56.

1:10:25 I don't need the putter. I can putt with

1:10:26 a seven iron

1:10:27 or the driver. How do we get here?

1:10:30 How do we get here? I asked you how

1:10:31 excited you were to go play in Tulsa.

1:10:32 You're talking about golf. Golf?

1:10:35 Right up my alley.

1:10:37 Knew I liked this guy. Golf is fun. Hey,

1:10:39 that's your That's your getaway time.

1:10:40 That's your free time.

1:10:42 Yeah, what else do you do in your free

1:10:43 time? Play video games, hang out with my

1:10:45 wife. Tell us about your dog. Oh, man.

1:10:49 That's my hunting buddy.

1:10:51 She uh

1:10:52 sent her off when she was a baby

1:10:54 uh for about five months the hunting

1:10:56 camp. And

1:10:58 she loves people.

1:11:01 They had a

1:11:02 uh

1:11:02 last time Trey was at home watching her.

1:11:06 Uh, they had a little like something bad

1:11:08 happened. We're not going to get into

1:11:09 that.

1:11:09 >> Yep. Trey and my dog are trauma bonded

1:11:13 and they are the best friends. So, he's

1:11:14 at home right now. He's sending me

1:11:15 videos. He's taking her downtown, taking

1:11:18 her to the park.

1:11:20 And riding in the back seat of his Jeep.

1:11:22 He's having the best time of his I can't

1:11:24 believe you trust Trey with your lovely

1:11:26 news. I really can't.

1:11:28 Now, I will say he does give If he makes

1:11:30 a sandwich, he makes her a sandwich.

1:11:32 >> [laughter]

1:11:33 >> Your dog is getting 20 lbs, too.

1:11:35 Jonathan Hughes, big time K to get out

1:11:37 of the inning. Waddy, you get 10 seconds

1:11:39 to tell America whatever you want to

1:11:40 tell.

1:11:41 Uh, I want to say hey to my wife and I

1:11:43 love you. I miss you.

1:11:45 I love you, too, Waddy.

1:11:48 Let's go down to Bananas Foster.

1:11:51 Across the United States, there are over

1:11:53 400,000

1:11:55 children and teens in foster care

1:11:57 without a permanent home. To raise

1:12:00 awareness and support this community, we

1:12:02 created Bananas Foster, the official

1:12:06 non-profit of Banana Ball. Our

1:12:09 organization is dedicated to celebrating

1:12:12 those in the foster care community while

1:12:15 educating and inspiring others to get

1:12:18 involved. Today, we are celebrating the

1:12:22 Saucedo family. Right here in Texas,

1:12:25 there are over 19,000

1:12:28 children in foster [music] care, but

1:12:30 only about 5,000 licensed foster homes.

1:12:35 To make a difference, [music]

1:12:36 Alyssa and Ben became a licensed foster

1:12:39 family 4 years ago and welcomed two

1:12:42 children into their home. Fans, please

1:12:46 join us in celebrating this amazing

1:12:48 family for making a difference right

1:12:51 here in your community.

1:13:24 Wow. Wonderful, wonderful man. He always

1:13:26 hits in these day games. Bananas foster

1:13:28 family, the South Side family. Been here

1:13:30 for a while to [cheering] get to

1:13:31 experience all this. I really got to

1:13:33 give a shout out this weekend. We did an

1:13:35 our fans first chat last night to

1:13:37 Indiana Stanley.

1:13:39 He makes such a great impact on all

1:13:40 these Bananas foster families. And he's

1:13:42 done that a big time this weekend.

1:13:44 Really just anytime the children that

1:13:48 come in, the families, Indy will take a

1:13:50 15 to 20 minutes and talk to all these

1:13:52 different families. And he's just a

1:13:53 wonderful, wonderful, wonderful human.

1:13:58 Another guy that's really good, we call

1:13:59 him brother.

1:14:00 Jose Gonzalez walks off the second

1:14:03 inning when he did this.

1:14:06 A ball taco.

1:14:10 Will Ethridge gave a fastball on the

1:14:12 outer half and he just took it out

1:14:13 there.

1:14:14 Again, this is a boom box. Wind's

1:14:16 blowing out towards left today.

1:14:18 Brother busted through the A gap. Tail

1:14:19 giving busted into the run column and

1:14:21 the point column with that swing.

1:14:24 We got a one to one ball game. One

1:14:25 nothing lead the coconuts having this

1:14:26 inning.

1:14:27 Indiana Stanley, man, I was just waxing

1:14:29 poetically about if I may some more.

1:14:31 Young man was here Friday night.

1:14:33 And Indy

1:14:35 as you can see has his seven eye black

1:14:37 on. He went over there and put it on

1:14:39 that man.

1:14:42 That will be an E5 how Indy will reach

1:14:44 here to begin the third. Last night same

1:14:46 fan comes back to the ballgame, young

1:14:48 man around 7-8 years old, and does it

1:14:50 yet again. Jordan Hussey.

1:14:58 >> [singing]

1:15:06 [singing]

1:15:16 [music]

1:15:26 [music]

1:15:33 [music]

1:15:39 [music and singing]

1:15:54 >> YOU BET! YOU BET, JORDAN HUSSEY!

1:15:59 And you may be wondering,

1:16:02 HOW DID ZACHARY BROUSSARD ON OTT CAMERA

1:16:05 ELEVATE HIMSELF INTO THE AIR?

1:16:08 BECAUSE there's magic in Banana Land.

1:16:11 Gosh, the Tailgaters have absolutely

1:16:14 been on fire when it comes to walk-offs.

1:16:16 The open,

1:16:18 we had McAdoo

1:16:19 doing "Newton Country".

1:16:21 Chris Clark was smoking a cigar in the

1:16:22 background. And then today, we have

1:16:24 this, Jordan Hussey, being lifted

1:16:27 beneath the beautiful backdrop that is

1:16:30 the Amarillo Sky.

1:16:31 That's banana ball.

1:16:33 Think he's dizzy up there after spinning

1:16:35 in circles like that? Slow circles.

1:16:38 Slow circles, very slow circles.

1:16:40 Very, very slow throws.

1:16:44 Ooh, good move from Will Andy back in

1:16:46 time.

1:16:49 You know Vanilla Ice?

1:16:51 Stop, collaborate and listen. Ice back

1:16:54 with my brand new invention. Something

1:16:56 grabs a hold of me tightly.

1:16:58 Ooh, fans got a serious opportunity

1:17:00 here. Eric's got an opportunity. Aw.

1:17:04 That wasn't the wind. Blew that one back

1:17:07 into play.

1:17:09 And potentially could be an E2 if Jordan

1:17:12 Hussey gets on.

1:17:15 Again, because that wasn't foul

1:17:17 territory, Jordan's able to get on.

1:17:20 It would have been because of an E2 and

1:17:21 then the the other result that would

1:17:22 happen is Yeah, I mean that's a tough

1:17:24 play. Eric Osberg [music] had to cover a

1:17:25 lot of ground, especially in banana ball

1:17:27 where these guys stand in front of the

1:17:29 dugouts the way they do. I've a hard

1:17:31 time with that one being an error. That

1:17:32 is far from routine when you're tracking

1:17:34 like that with the ball in the wind.

1:17:35 >> Good point, AJ Swiatek.

1:17:41 Wow. He is really content on keeping him

1:17:43 at first.

1:17:44 >> Yeah, Will Ethridge, please throw over

1:17:45 one more time. I BEG OF YOU.

1:17:47 GOT HIM.

1:17:49 CHEETO COME HERE, BABY BOO. BACKWARDS K

1:17:51 FOR WE.

1:17:52 Oh my gosh, five of them. I'm baby booed

1:17:55 out of my mind, Will Ethridge. The last

1:17:58 time we said it, brother immediately

1:18:00 silenced me.

1:18:02 But this time, Ethridge has a quick

1:18:04 punchy with the lineup turning over for

1:18:05 Nick Lopez, the inning winning run at

1:18:07 the dish, who's got some pop.

1:18:10 Lo P got a couple homers this year. All

1:18:11 be it both of them coming in football

1:18:12 stadium.

1:18:14 Had three of them in his rookie campaign

1:18:16 of 2025.

1:18:25 I want to see Andy take off.

1:18:27 After Will's thrown over there 17

1:18:28 million times.

1:18:30 And they got him. I KNEW IT. I KNEW IT,

1:18:32 AJ. ANDY WAS READY TO RUN AND WILL

1:18:34 [cheering] ETHRIDGE SAID, "NO, NO, NO."

1:18:36 HIS FIRST PICKOFF IN HIS BANANA BALL

1:18:38 CAREER. That gets me so fired up.

1:18:40 Bunting sucks. Pickoffs are awesome.

1:18:44 Will Ethridge continued to keep the

1:18:47 runner at bay, and it pays dividends,

1:18:49 clearing the bases behind him. He's now

1:18:51 a strike away from getting out of this

1:18:53 inning.

1:18:59 Couple shakes.

1:19:01 The one-two.

1:19:05 Deuce is wild yet again. Two balls, two

1:19:07 strikes, two outs. One pitch away

1:19:10 from the Coconuts taking a two-to-one

1:19:11 lead.

1:19:17 >> [cheering]

1:19:20 >> Foul tip. Randy Ballgame.

1:19:23 We'll once again do the deuce-deuce.

1:19:27 Action in the Coconuts bullpen for the

1:19:29 first time this afternoon. Kyle Perry up

1:19:31 and throwing.

1:19:32 Just a Banana Ball sitting by itself

1:19:34 [music] in the tail end of the bullpen.

1:19:39 We'll count that.

1:19:41 As hot as Zack Watson's been, you do not

1:19:43 want to hand him a bat with Lopey

1:19:45 standing aboard here.

1:19:47 Big time [music] pitch from Will.

1:19:51 Wow.

1:19:52 I'll tell you what. We're at or north of

1:19:54 50 pitches. Indy Morales, the pitching

1:19:57 coach for Loco Beach, is going to have a

1:19:58 decision to make here.

1:20:01 But can Will get out of it before that

1:20:02 decision has to be made?

1:20:05 >> [cheering]

1:20:09 >> How many foul balls have we had?

1:20:14 How many foul balls? Give me a number.

1:20:17 Make it up.

1:20:18 Uh Be quick.

1:20:27 Lopey!

1:20:28 Out to right.

1:20:31 And a great running grab by Gideon Antel

1:20:34 as the Coconut's take a

1:20:37 TWO TO ONE LEAD IN THE BALL game after

1:20:39 three. Loco Beach is winning baby.

1:20:41 There's been 17 foul balls. A million

1:20:44 hearts across the country are full

1:20:46 watching the Coconut's win their second

1:20:48 inning of the contest.

1:20:50 Amarillo, Texas, please direct your

1:20:52 attention to left field with Garrett

1:20:55 Rhinestone Lampert. Fans out out here

1:20:58 right now and I've got four moms in left

1:21:01 field which means it's time for the MILF

1:21:05 race.

1:21:06 The moms in left field race works like

1:21:08 this. These four moms are going to get

1:21:10 nice and hot running to that finish

1:21:12 line. The first mom there is our winner

1:21:15 and will get to dump a bucket of water

1:21:17 on the other three moms to remain THE

1:21:20 HOTTEST MOM IN ALL OF AMARILLO. ARE YOU

1:21:23 READY?

1:21:25 >> [cheering]

1:21:26 >> THIS RACE BEGINS IN THREE, TWO, ONE, GO.

1:21:32 And they're off.

1:21:34 IT'S A FOUR MOM RACE.

1:21:36 NEELY,

1:21:38 JULIE,

1:21:39 NEELY IN THE ORANGE TRIGGER TO THE

1:21:41 FINISH LINE AND THERE IT IS.

1:21:44 NEELY, YOU ARE THE HOTTEST mom in all of

1:21:48 Amarillo. It's time to dump that bucket

1:21:50 of water.

1:21:57 Alrighty Neely,

1:21:59 you won the honors. Time to cool those

1:22:01 moms off in three, TWO, ONE, GO.

1:22:07 ONE MORE TIME FOR NEELY, WINNER OF THE

1:22:10 MILF RACE.

1:22:13 What do you know about MILFs AJ

1:22:15 Slaughter?

1:22:16 Uh,

1:22:23 I heard that for the most [laughter]

1:22:24 part they're found in Dave & Buster's

1:22:28 ticket aisles. They were actually just

1:22:29 found in left field. That was the

1:22:30 mothers in left field, guys. I don't

1:22:32 know what you're referring to. Okay.

1:22:36 >> [laughter]

1:22:38 >> Ball and a strike.

1:22:40 OH, YES, [ __ ]

1:22:44 >> [laughter]

1:22:46 >> I THOUGHT I HAD YOU. I THOUGHT I HAD

1:22:48 YOU. AND somehow I'm still the one that

1:22:50 breaks there. Oh, goodness, two to one

1:22:52 ballgame.

1:22:55 Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Here

1:22:55 we go. Here we go. Here we go. Here we

1:22:56 go. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go.

1:22:57 Here we go. Here we go.

1:23:00 >> Gosh, what a great time here in the MLB.

1:23:09 I can't believe you, man. Oh, man. I

1:23:11 really can't. You got your wise behind

1:23:12 your ears. Oh, thank you, man. That's

1:23:14 what they That's what the Kill Cougars

1:23:16 Cougars and the women in left field like

1:23:17 to tell me.

1:23:19 GOT HIM. OH. PUNT, YEAH. JONATHAN

1:23:23 HUGHES.

1:23:25 HIS FIFTH IN THE ballgame begins at the

1:23:26 top of the fourth.

1:23:28 Brett, I do quickly want to ask just

1:23:29 because obviously you've got a full

1:23:31 extra year of experience on me. When you

1:23:33 watch the visitors last year, did it

1:23:35 seem like things were firing more than

1:23:36 they are for Shohei Ohtani? Right now,

1:23:38 it just feels like something's a little

1:23:39 bit off at the plate. And I want to see

1:23:40 him get it going as much as the next

1:23:42 guy. He just is a little bit off.

1:23:46 Foul territory gets out of play. Yeah, I

1:23:49 I think

1:23:52 what I see personally last year I don't

1:23:55 Payton Chartanay was a guy

1:23:56 who was going to be a day one draft,

1:23:58 which is exactly what [music] he was. I

1:24:00 think even Annabelle

1:24:02 is J.D. ERSO.

1:24:04 OH, ERSO, [screaming]

1:24:05 SONNY. MAKES HIS SECOND APPEARANCE OF

1:24:08 THE WEEKEND.

1:24:11 Another guy who J.D. Erso, that was very

1:24:13 impressed me by the visitor. He had a

1:24:15 five-game sample last year. Sunshine had

1:24:18 a 33-game sample. What a play from

1:24:19 Sonny.

1:24:21 And when you had that that five-game

1:24:22 sample, there's only so much you can you

1:24:25 can see spurts, you can see it. JD and

1:24:27 Peyton were the two guys I was very high

1:24:28 on. However, now in a 61-game season,

1:24:31 it's inevitable, right AJ Swatek, you're

1:24:32 going to hit a slump. And I think for

1:24:34 Shotty, he's just hit his early. And

1:24:36 that that's the name of the game. Right.

1:24:37 And it's also very worth saying that I

1:24:39 always take a big sample size over a

1:24:41 small one. He absolutely raked at Ole

1:24:43 Miss, TCU, and put up great numbers

1:24:45 alongside Ashby Vining on the visitors.

1:24:47 You feel it's a matter of time for

1:24:49 Shotty. For JD or so, it's good to see

1:24:51 him in the lineup. He's worked two very

1:24:52 quality plate appearances now today.

1:24:56 Ginn out of play.

1:24:57 And this guy's just on fire. You know

1:24:59 what we haven't talked about here?

1:25:01 How this ballpark is not necessarily

1:25:03 made for fans to catch foul balls.

1:25:05 We haven't seen one yet this weekend.

1:25:07 >> Yeah, I mean this deck, so where we're

1:25:08 at, we're probably what, AJ? 25 ft in

1:25:11 the air, and we're at the highest

1:25:12 [music] point in the ballpark, where our

1:25:14 press box is. So again, you see a lot of

1:25:16 these foul balls caught at the major

1:25:18 league stadiums in the upper decks. You

1:25:20 got the patio down the left field line,

1:25:22 and then you have seats down the right

1:25:23 field line, which may be able to catch

1:25:24 them. Other than that though, you'd need

1:25:26 one with a lot of back spin to stay in

1:25:28 the facility for a fan to have an

1:25:30 opportunity to catch it.

1:25:31 Two balls, two strikes, two outs.

1:25:34 Jonathan Hughes trying to hang his

1:25:35 second donut of the afternoon here in

1:25:37 the fourth.

1:25:43 Ginn continues the battle.

1:25:53 Ooh.

1:25:55 2-2 waste pitch.

1:25:57 Mr. Antel was not too giddy on it.

1:26:08 Left side, JB. Behind the back.

1:26:16 That's got to be an E3, I would presume.

1:26:19 100% and that's why you giddy up. That

1:26:21 is amazing hustle from the Ant-Man to

1:26:24 move from home to second on that ball.

1:26:27 It's exactly why you sprint the way you

1:26:29 do and yes, it is an error on Tailgaters

1:26:31 first baseman Taylor Johnson.

1:26:33 >> Salamander.

1:26:51 >> [music]

1:27:16 >> Sal Giacobbo, Austin Krzeminski, besties

1:27:20 and they just absolutely bodied that

1:27:22 dance as Brett Loftis would say they

1:27:24 were serving some face and some moves.

1:27:26 Giacobbo 0-1 today but I mean, he's a

1:27:29 guy who stepped into a role last year

1:27:30 with a myriad of injuries on the Party

1:27:33 Animals roster, took full advantage and

1:27:34 now is an everyday starter. You see why

1:27:37 he's proving he should have been in from

1:27:38 the very start. He's so special with the

1:27:40 glove, very good in walk-up moments

1:27:42 [music] and now he's got a chance at the

1:27:44 plate to bring IN ANOTHER RUN.

1:27:46 BACKWARDS K FOR THE PUNT CHANT.

1:27:49 JONATHAN HUGH.

1:27:51 Body oddy oddy oddy oddy oddy oddy oddy.

1:27:56 Well, he put that narrative to bed

1:27:57 really quick. Three pitches, three

1:27:59 strikes. Oh, no. Oh, no.

1:28:01 >> Absolutely bodied that fastball and I'm

1:28:03 READY TO BODY THIS HEY BABY.

1:28:04 >> OH, NO. OH, NO. OH, NO. OH, NO. Start

1:28:07 clapping along TO AUTO HAYES,

1:28:10 BABY.

1:28:14 >> [music]

1:28:21 >> IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DANCE, JUST FOLLOW

1:28:23 ALONG.

1:28:28 >> [music]

1:28:37 >> And now we're doing it again.

1:28:50 Now, keep those hands clapping while we

1:28:52 shuffle.

1:29:04 Let me hear YOU SING IT, EVERYBODY.

1:29:11 >> [music]

1:29:18 >> One more time, everybody.

1:29:34 Great work, everybody.

1:29:53 We don't move like that.

1:29:55 I'm the beach, Trin.

1:29:57 Shout out King Pookie Bear, Mohawk Mike,

1:30:00 JORDAN BREWER. HEY, HOLD UP. Jordan

1:30:02 Brewer is about to throw us a foul ball.

1:30:04 If we can get Get camera on Jordan

1:30:05 Brewer.

1:30:08 Here we go. Here we go. He's about to

1:30:09 throw it to us here.

1:30:13 YOUR ARM'S [screaming] GOT TO BE BETTER

1:30:14 THAN THAT.

1:30:18 ZACK WATSON WILL LEAD US off here. Kyle

1:30:19 Perry on the hill. Yep, 100%.

1:30:22 Talk about that guy here after this out.

1:30:24 Shotty trying to find it.

1:30:28 Tip drill.

1:30:29 Book it. Kyle Perry.

1:30:32 Truly one of one, much like hey baby.

1:30:36 Kyle Perry.

1:30:37 Good feel from Shotty Tonya in the field

1:30:38 to grab that one himself after the tip.

1:30:42 And the biggest sports card collector in

1:30:44 the sport.

1:30:46 Gets himself his first out. He's got no

1:30:47 runs to play with. This is a high

1:30:48 leverage spot trying to hold on to the

1:30:50 2-1 lead.

1:30:53 People in the chat are saying I'm a wild

1:30:54 animal.

1:30:55 People in the chat are saying we need to

1:30:57 protect Yoshi and get him security from

1:30:59 you, Brett.

1:31:00 I love Yoshi. You're no longer allowed

1:31:02 in David Masters ticket rooms. David

1:31:04 Masters?

1:31:05 Salamander.

1:31:07 Ooh, dribble between the legs. Book it.

1:31:10 Back-to-back trick plays bring it to

1:31:12 5-3.

1:31:14 You the kind of person who prefers

1:31:15 playing the games at the arcade or

1:31:17 picking out the prize?

1:31:19 Well, you can't pick out the prize

1:31:20 without playing the games. It's a

1:31:21 process, AJ. Right, but are you

1:31:23 constantly looking for the a Yoshi in

1:31:25 your life or you more there to play the

1:31:26 claw?

1:31:28 I'm not claw guy. Never have been. It's

1:31:29 a gimmick.

1:31:30 It's a gimmick? It's a such a gimmick.

1:31:32 >> Oh my gosh, I'm about to air out some

1:31:33 info that I probably shouldn't. Ooh.

1:31:36 8-year-old AJ had a claw machine

1:31:37 YouTube.

1:31:38 Jordan Barr.

1:31:40 Deep left field. IF IT'S FAIR, IT'S

1:31:41 GONE.

1:31:43 AND IT IS GONE!

1:31:47 PRINCESS JB [screaming]

1:31:50 WITH HIS FIRST REGULAR SEASON HOME RUN.

1:31:53 UNBELIEVABLE.

1:31:58 STAY HOT, JORDAN BARR.

1:32:01 THROW THAT FOOTBALL HELMET ON AND PULL A

1:32:03 2015 CAM NEWTON CUZ I WANT TO SEE YOU

1:32:05 DAB ON EVERYBODY HERE IN AMARILLO.

1:32:13 I need our very own Rex Castillo to grab

1:32:15 him like a claw machine. I need to hear

1:32:17 from JB after his first big fly of the

1:32:19 year.

1:32:20 >> [cheering]

1:32:23 >> If it was fair, it was gone. JB, the MVP

1:32:26 of the Banana Ball Open, are the bats

1:32:27 STARTING TO GET HOT HERE IN THE LONE

1:32:29 STAR STATE? BATS are hot, baby. Gator

1:32:30 up. Nice and simple from JB. Guys, back

1:32:33 to you.

1:32:33 >> Gator up. That's right, JB. Talk to him.

1:32:35 2-2 ballgame. Both of Tailgaters

1:32:37 walk-offs have been a home runs. And now

1:32:41 Belly Flop Time

1:32:43 >> [music]

1:32:44 >> Amarillo, Texas, please direct your

1:32:46 attention to the third baseline with CJ.

1:32:50 Fans here at Loco Beach, we love the

1:32:54 water. And right now, it is time for a

1:32:57 belly flop competition.

1:33:01 We got two contestants here who are

1:33:02 going to be running, jumping, and

1:33:04 flopping into this pool. But, we need

1:33:07 your help to vote to decide who wins.

1:33:11 Gentlemen, we'll get you one at a time.

1:33:12 Contestant number one, what is your

1:33:13 name? Cass. Cass, let's see what you

1:33:16 got. Let's see THOSE MOVES.

1:33:18 OH, OKAY.

1:33:20 >> [cheering]

1:33:22 >> PUT SOME SUNSCREEN ON THAT. WOAH!

1:33:25 WOAH!

1:33:27 NOW, THAT IS A splash if I've ever seen

1:33:30 one. All right. Contestant number two,

1:33:33 what is your name? Tyler. All right,

1:33:35 Tyler. That That was pretty good. Let's

1:33:37 see what you can do. Come on.

1:33:41 >> [cheering]

1:33:45 >> Here he goes. OH!

1:33:47 >> [screaming]

1:33:49 [cheering]

1:33:49 >> YOU GOT TO WANT IT. FANS, YOU GOT TO

1:33:51 WANT IT.

1:33:53 OH, THERE HE GOES. [cheering]

1:33:55 HE'S DONE THIS BEFORE. AND

1:33:58 >> [screaming]

1:33:59 >> HEAR IT.

1:34:00 >> [cheering]

1:34:01 >> MAKE HIM WORK FOR IT.

1:34:06 HERE HE GOES.

1:34:15 All right, fans. It is now time for you

1:34:19 to decide who wins.

1:34:21 WAS IT CONTESTANT TYLER?

1:34:25 >> [cheering]

1:34:25 >> CONTESTANT CASS.

1:34:27 THAT WAS CASS. OR WAS IT CONTESTANT

1:34:30 NUMBER TWO, TYLER?

1:34:32 >> [cheering]

1:34:33 >> GIVE IT UP FOR YOUR BELLY FLOP

1:34:35 COMPETITION WINNER, TYLER.

1:34:37 >> [screaming]

1:34:40 [cheering]

1:34:46 >> MAN, THE VIBES at Loco Beach are just so

1:34:49 immaculate. They're infectious. It's a

1:34:51 belly flop. And oh my goodness, even the

1:34:55 most tailgater faithful will be taken in

1:34:57 by the breeze of Peter Collado. I love

1:35:00 Peter Collado. If you could only see me

1:35:02 right now,

1:35:04 me and Peter are getting awfully cuddly.

1:35:06 And I want

1:35:08 Peter, you just hit me in the noggin

1:35:09 there.

1:35:10 Christian Davis in the ball game here in

1:35:11 the top of the fifth comes in to replace

1:35:13 Jonathan Hughes.

1:35:16 Peter, we're going to continue to do

1:35:17 this until they show us. Ben Benitez is

1:35:18 0 and 2.

1:35:22 Down on strikes, Benitez goes back to

1:35:24 the dugout. Brings up Ben Parker. I I

1:35:26 mean, the fans need to see what's going

1:35:28 on. They really do. Brett is being taken

1:35:31 over by the beach and we can't see it.

1:35:32 Peter Collado is giving him a massage.

1:35:35 Oh gosh, that feels good, Peter. Yep,

1:35:38 really digging those those joints in

1:35:40 there. And you can't believe everything

1:35:42 you hear on TV, but I promise I'm being

1:35:44 serious. I I I have photo proof.

1:35:47 Oh. Yeah, that feels good. Feels good,

1:35:49 Peter. We're going to come to the booth

1:35:51 here. You're only going to be able to

1:35:51 see out of the back of Peter's head.

1:35:54 Christian Davis, the 2025 Banana Ball

1:35:56 All-Star. Oh, there we are. Oh, yeah.

1:35:59 Thank you, Peter. Thank you, Peter.

1:36:01 Thank you, Peter.

1:36:02 >> [laughter]

1:36:03 >> Ooh, you're really getting that shoulder

1:36:04 blade right there. Yep, 100%.

1:36:07 >> Peter, how long did you go to massage

1:36:08 school for? 12 years.

1:36:09 >> Oh, 5:00 somewhere? Yeah. One and two

1:36:12 foul out of play.

1:36:13 This may just be the most unhinged

1:36:15 Banana Ball broadcast we've ever had.

1:36:17 And that's saying something cuz I work

1:36:18 with Drake Toll a lot.

1:36:20 Oh, thank you, Peter. Thank you, Peter.

1:36:23 Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ALMOST

1:36:26 ON CUE, CHRISTIAN DAVIS STRIKES HIM OUT

1:36:29 AND THEN THROWS him out at first for out

1:36:30 number two. Peter, you're good luck here

1:36:32 for these Tailgaters. You've been up

1:36:34 here in this half inning, we've had two

1:36:35 strikeouts so far.

1:36:37 If only you could speak, you'd probably

1:36:39 say some devious things to me right now.

1:36:43 >> [laughter]

1:36:44 >> Oh, man.

1:36:47 I love you, Peter.

1:36:50 Big Maple sends one up to shoot.

1:36:54 And nobody can find it.

1:36:57 Tosh throws it back to first. Didn't in

1:36:59 time.

1:37:00 Peter's happy about it.

1:37:01 >> The shortest single you'll ever see.

1:37:08 Peter, what are you do- Oh, Peter, there

1:37:10 Oh,

1:37:11 Peter has found the other camera in the

1:37:12 booth. Yeah, Peter, just continue

1:37:13 looking in that thing.

1:37:15 Yep, 100%. There you go. There he is.

1:37:18 >> [laughter]

1:37:19 >> Oh my gosh.

1:37:21 I mean, I'll tell you this, Brett, you

1:37:22 said the most unhinged broadcast maybe

1:37:24 ever in Banana Ball. For my money, we've

1:37:26 got the three best mascots in the sport

1:37:28 here right now. And they've shown it.

1:37:30 Every day, they've just come up here and

1:37:32 done some nonsense. I love Grubb. I love

1:37:34 Coco, but Peter is just the ultimate

1:37:37 vibe of them all. Yes, Peter, I'm saying

1:37:39 that because you're here.

1:37:42 This is Banana Ball broadcasting. If you

1:37:44 guys ever wondered, this is it. Right

1:37:46 here. Today, as we live and breathe in

1:37:47 Amarillo, Texas.

1:37:51 CD taking a while. The 0-2?

1:37:55 Out to left.

1:37:56 Drifting towards center, Indy.

1:37:59 Oh, what a backflip catch. Windy got it

1:38:02 a little bit. Oh, Dane. Big round at

1:38:04 third.

1:38:08 I'm sorry, that's bad. How do you not

1:38:09 score on that?

1:38:11 Dane is walking around the bases

1:38:13 assuming that this would be a routine

1:38:15 play, but instead, Indiana Stanley just

1:38:18 couldn't size up a backflip catch and

1:38:20 watched it go over his head. So, both

1:38:22 sides make a mistake. It's an error on

1:38:23 the bases and one that'll go in the

1:38:24 scorebook in center, as well.

1:38:27 As Oh.

1:38:29 Got a piece of CD. Sunshine, the quick

1:38:31 flip to the captain, Jordan Hussein. No

1:38:34 trick play, but back-to-back zeros

1:38:36 [music]

1:38:36 for the first time today. It's Christian

1:38:39 Davis, the all-star.

1:38:41 One of two aces able to come in and hang

1:38:43 that one up here.

1:38:45 We stay put at two a piece. See if the

1:38:46 Tailgaters can take a point lead here in

1:38:49 the home half.

1:38:52 >> [cheering]

1:38:57 >> Take a look at the trick play average

1:38:58 per team. It's the average number of

1:39:00 trick plays per game, and none better

1:39:02 than the Texas Tailgaters here in 2026.

1:39:05 It's so impressive seeing them just in

1:39:06 front of the two longest-tenured brands

1:39:08 in the sport. Not as surprising to see

1:39:10 the Coconuts and Clowns still catching

1:39:12 up to the pack, but really, the big

1:39:14 takeaway here is Texas on top of a

1:39:16 Bananas and Party Animals crew that

1:39:19 really everyone thought would be a

1:39:20 foregone conclusion to front run trick

1:39:22 plays this season.

1:39:24 Oh, Croccos just used his challenge down

1:39:26 on the field. He thinks Brewer was safe

1:39:28 at second base.

1:39:30 Let's take a second look at it, then.

1:39:34 Trick plays are important. This is a

1:39:35 very important call, too. Well, it

1:39:37 didn't happen at first. It was at

1:39:38 second.

1:39:39 So, if we had a camera, yep, 100%.

1:39:42 Ooh, can we slow that down? This is

1:39:43 going to tell us.

1:39:45 Watch that orange spike that Yeah, ah,

1:39:47 slow it down a little bit more. Right

1:39:48 here, frame by frame if we could. Yeah,

1:39:50 he's out.

1:39:51 >> Yep, he's out. But, I do think that was

1:39:53 worth challenging. Let me honest, when

1:39:54 you showed that replay, rolling into the

1:39:56 trick plays, A.J., that was a lot lot

1:39:59 closer than I thought.

1:40:01 But nonetheless, still be out number

1:40:03 three and get his out of the inning.

1:40:05 Out!

1:40:07 >> [cheering]

1:40:07 >> Shocker.

1:40:09 It's a fun fact about the man who just

1:40:10 held up the out sign.

1:40:11 >> Randy Voss. Correct. Me, him, and Ben

1:40:14 Parker spent about 15 to 30 minutes last

1:40:17 night talking about workout regimes.

1:40:19 I was a fly on the wall. I mean

1:40:22 >> [laughter]

1:40:22 >> I had no idea. The The terminologies

1:40:24 were going right over my head, but those

1:40:27 two actually do the same push-pull

1:40:30 regimen, and I guess Ben Parker's been

1:40:31 in contact with Randy. They help one

1:40:33 another out, send each other their

1:40:35 pumps, and you can tell they're two big

1:40:36 guys.

1:40:38 Me and Brett on the other hand are just

1:40:40 a couple of goobers up in the booth.

1:40:41 Three of them.

1:40:47 Brett's trying to American sign language

1:40:49 me that he's got guns.

1:40:53 Muscles.

1:40:53 >> Biceps. Biceps. Muscles. Muscles.

1:40:56 You like muscles? The food?

1:40:58 Peter, you like muscles?

1:41:00 >> [cheering]

1:41:01 >> Peter just flashed his belly at me. I

1:41:04 didn't need that, Peter.

1:41:07 Peter, you you ate a little bit in the

1:41:08 off-season, too, didn't you?

1:41:10 Peter, what's your favorite food?

1:41:13 Signal it to me. What is it?

1:41:15 Oh, coladas. A lot of sugar? A lot of

1:41:17 pina coladas?

1:41:19 Good.

1:41:21 Taylor Justice, speaking of American

1:41:23 sign language.

1:41:29 I sleep like a baby.

1:41:34 I never show a thing.

1:41:38 I don't think

1:41:42 >> [music]

1:41:51 >> Well,

1:41:52 if I may.

1:41:57 You look like you're holding yourself

1:41:58 back from saying something right now.

1:42:01 The correct song did that play, if I

1:42:02 may.

1:42:04 Reveal the curtain there, guys.

1:42:07 That's what we call pivoting. Great job

1:42:09 by Taylor Justice and the boys to still

1:42:11 hit that dance there. Wow, I would have

1:42:13 had no idea. Seriously, that's great

1:42:14 improv from Taylor Justice. That's 10

1:42:16 out of 10 no notes for me. The only

1:42:18 reason I brought that up is because I

1:42:20 never live Isaac top play and it

1:42:21 immediately cut off to Taylor's walk-up

1:42:23 song in the middle of it, which if I

1:42:24 may,

1:42:26 obviously it was not supposed to happen.

1:42:27 As Grubbs is bald at first,

1:42:30 three and one.

1:42:33 Three and two.

1:42:34 Bald Grubbs.

1:42:36 I've been trying to tell the young man

1:42:37 he needs to grow his hair.

1:42:39 Every time that hat comes off, I'm like,

1:42:40 "Grubbs, we need a stubble up there or

1:42:41 something."

1:42:42 Ball four strike for T.J.

1:42:48 He'll stay put at one. Our mascots have

1:42:50 some interesting hair between that and

1:42:51 Peter Collado's receding hairline. I

1:42:54 just feel very fortunate to still have

1:42:55 what I've got going on on top of my

1:42:57 head.

1:43:00 You think you'd ever take Bosley or any

1:43:02 kind of hair supplement?

1:43:04 To make it not bad?

1:43:06 Bosley?

1:43:07 Like like hair. Like if you if your hair

1:43:09 started falling out. Oh, well, the good

1:43:11 news is uh I've been manifesting my hair

1:43:13 being here till the day I die, so I'm

1:43:15 just never going to cut it again. That's

1:43:16 good. Jacob Pippertsick comes in to run

1:43:18 it first.

1:43:21 Macadoo, home run hack. Now behind Owen

1:43:23 two.

1:43:37 >> Off the handle. Shot Tonya goes to

1:43:40 second for one.

1:43:42 6-4-3

1:43:44 equals two.

1:43:45 It's a double play for Loco Beach in a

1:43:48 big one. Shot Tonya, Jacobo, Brewer

1:43:51 always on the same page. It clears the

1:43:53 bases and pulls the trick plays within

1:43:55 two.

1:43:59 The biggest the largest

1:44:01 as demonstrated by Mr. Jacobo.

1:44:04 Ty Porter's at the deck.

1:44:06 TP struck out in his only AB he's had

1:44:08 today.

1:44:10 Man, what a great ballgame.

1:44:12 Listen, I know we had a lot of banana

1:44:13 ball moments, walk-ups and

1:44:15 such and visitors to the booth is

1:44:16 seemingly we have another one. What is

1:44:18 going on today?

1:44:19 >> no idea.

1:44:21 It's almost like people don't know that

1:44:22 we talk for a living. Hey, CJ.

1:44:25 >> be distracted.

1:44:26 The on-field voice

1:44:28 of the coconuts CJ Kirwan's now in the

1:44:30 booth with Hey everybody, CJ here. This

1:44:32 one's fouled out of the first baseline.

1:44:35 Out of play not caught by a fan.

1:44:39 How many possible people can we get in

1:44:41 this booth today?

1:44:42 Uh at least three. Did

1:44:44 you know about our other visitors? I

1:44:46 haven't heard of the other visitors.

1:44:47 >> So CJ, Jason Art came up here in a cow

1:44:49 costume. Nice. Peter Collada has come

1:44:51 and visited with us. Ooh, okay.

1:44:53 >> you're making it out to be the trifecta.

1:44:55 Did Peter have a LOT TO SAY? GOT HIM.

1:44:57 STRIKEOUT KP.

1:45:00 As he SIGNALS UP TO US. YES, [screaming]

1:45:02 KYLE PARIS.

1:45:03 >> YOU SHAKE IT.

1:45:05 Shake it, KP. He told me pre-game today,

1:45:08 "I'm going to punch someone out and I'm

1:45:09 going to honor you." That's honor.

1:45:11 That's love. That's deserving it and

1:45:13 that's Loco Beach. When these two teams

1:45:15 play, we are always in for a treat. AND

1:45:17 NOW IT IS TIED DEUCE-DEUCE as we head to

1:45:20 the sixth because Mr. One of One is

1:45:22 truly that and more.

1:45:24 Geico and the Banana Ball Championship

1:45:26 League are teaming up to send one lucky

1:45:28 winner on the ultimate fan experience to

1:45:31 the 2026 Banana Ball Championship game

1:45:36 airfare, hotel, and a VIP on-field

1:45:38 player experience. Go to it

1:45:40 feelsgoodtogobananas.com

1:45:42 to enter. Again, it

1:45:43 feelsgoodtogobananas.com.

1:45:47 And if the Coconut's are playing, you

1:45:48 may even get to meet CJ Curwood. CJ, how

1:45:50 are you doing tonight? I am doing

1:45:52 absolutely fantastic right now. I can't

1:45:54 lie to you. Feel amazing. Feel Loco.

1:45:56 >> Are you sitting on a rainbow? I'm

1:45:57 absolutely sitting on a rainbow right

1:45:59 now. You uh you took your shirt off

1:46:01 under your overalls. I did. You know, we

1:46:03 were at the We're at the stage show and

1:46:05 I was like, "Oh, he looks good today,

1:46:06 you know?" And then I see you down on

1:46:08 the field earlier. I'm like, "Wow,

1:46:09 caliente." Brother Brother went to take

1:46:11 his shirt off. I look even better now,

1:46:13 dude. That's what I'm talking about.

1:46:14 It's hot out here. We got perfect beach

1:46:15 weather. And when the We got good beach

1:46:17 weather, that means you take your tops

1:46:18 off. People are saying Kyle Jackson is

1:46:21 your doppelganger. That's my twin.

1:46:22 That's my homie right there. That's twin

1:46:23 for real? That's twin. That's why I said

1:46:25 Hey, CJ. Hey, CJ.

1:46:28 Now, this is awesome. What do you think

1:46:30 about Amarillo? I love this place. This

1:46:32 is It's been an amazing time here. The

1:46:34 fans have just absolutely showed up. And

1:46:37 right now we're having just another

1:46:38 phenomenal game today.

1:46:40 CJ, uh what surprised you most about

1:46:43 your first ever hosting role here with

1:46:44 Loco Beach?

1:46:46 It surprised me how much the fans just

1:46:48 like really get into it and they really

1:46:49 get behind you. Like it was this brand

1:46:51 new to me, but they just welcomed me in

1:46:53 as I was part of the family for years on

1:46:55 end, but I just couldn't be happier to

1:46:57 be here. It's so fun.

1:46:59 >> [cheering]

1:47:01 >> Incredible stuff.

1:47:02 >> and CJ are roommates this trip.

1:47:04 >> We are.

1:47:05 >> And this guy spent a good amount of time

1:47:06 in our room last night.

1:47:08 Eric Gosper, back up at the plate.

1:47:11 What was EO doing in there?

1:47:13 Take a wild guess. Talking football.

1:47:15 Yes. This one goes to backstop. Ooh.

1:47:18 Eric thought about running down the

1:47:19 first.

1:47:21 He didn't actually think. He told me

1:47:22 he's never trying that. He likes his ABs

1:47:24 too much.

1:47:25 That's funny.

1:47:26 Christian Davis back out there in his

1:47:28 second inning of work.

1:47:29 You can see D Knight getting the start

1:47:32 after he had the best outing perhaps in

1:47:34 his baseball or banana ball career. Five

1:47:36 and a third last Saturday night

1:47:39 for the Tailgaters.

1:47:41 Trick play opportunity here.

1:47:44 TIP DRILL!

1:47:46 BUCKET! BUCKET!

1:47:48 WADI!

1:47:49 FIVE!

1:47:50 HOME NOW!

1:47:54 BIG SPOT FOR A DOUBLE trick play. That

1:47:56 puts Texas right back in the driver's

1:47:58 seat when it comes to the equalizer

1:47:59 point. That middle infield is so good at

1:48:01 back tracking into the green grass to

1:48:03 help their outfielders convert on the

1:48:05 tip drills.

1:48:08 Ooh! stung to center. INDIANA STANLEY.

1:48:12 OH, YEAH!

1:48:13 TWO OUTS! GREAT TRICK PLAYS! BUCKET,

1:48:16 young man!

1:48:18 Really good swing from Payton Shot

1:48:19 Tonya. He put a good charge into that

1:48:21 one, barreled it up, but just better

1:48:22 defense from Indy Stanley. It's his

1:48:24 second trick play of the night. First

1:48:25 came on the very first pitch of the

1:48:27 game. This one comes now with two down

1:48:28 in the sixth.

1:48:29 >> CJ, quickly before we get you out of

1:48:31 here. What's up? Cassie is asking, what

1:48:33 are you most excited about for Kansas?

1:48:35 Ooh, Kansas. My grandparents live in

1:48:37 Kansas, so that's what I'm looking

1:48:38 forward to. I'm looking I'm excited to

1:48:39 see my family out there.

1:48:40 >> Have you been to Wichita before?

1:48:42 >> I haven't, but I've heard it's great.

1:48:43 Home now! WHAT WE GOT? WOAH! JD URSO!

1:48:48 This young man has been playing good

1:48:49 ball today. Hit by a pitch, got robbed

1:48:52 of a base hit his last time up, and

1:48:54 right there gets his first hit of the

1:48:55 ballgame.

1:48:56 >> Brett and CJ, I want to play a little

1:48:57 game show with you guys.

1:48:58 >> Oh.

1:49:00 JD Urso holds the Division II record for

1:49:02 on-base streak.

1:49:04 What do you think that number is?

1:49:06 >> what it is, so I can't answer it. Out to

1:49:07 left, Wadi, great sliding grab for out

1:49:09 number three. CJ, you want to take a

1:49:11 guess? I have no idea. I'm going to say

1:49:12 four.

1:49:14 It's going to be a lot

1:49:15 >> [laughter]

1:49:15 >> larger than that, but already AJ, give

1:49:18 us the answer. Sub two-minute inning out

1:49:19 there on the hill. 93 straight games

1:49:21 J.D. Erso reached base. That spanned

1:49:23 over three seasons. That's a record that

1:49:25 is so set in stone, I don't know if

1:49:27 it'll ever be broken.

1:49:29 Neither will our voices cuz it's karaoke

1:49:32 time, baby.

1:49:33 Amarillo, there are two main ways to

1:49:35 have a good time at the tailgate, and

1:49:37 we're about to combine both of them in a

1:49:39 little game we like to call keg stand

1:49:41 karaoke.

1:49:43 Down here with me, we have two

1:49:44 contestants. They're both going to get

1:49:46 in the keg stand and sing for you fine

1:49:47 people, and then it's going to be up to

1:49:49 you, the fans, to vote for the winner.

1:49:52 All righty, let's meet contestant number

1:49:54 one. What's your name? How old are you?

1:49:56 Preston, I'm 21. Preston is freshly 21

1:50:00 years old, probably hopefully a keg

1:50:02 stand rookie. Let's see what he's got.

1:50:14 >> [music]

1:50:18 >> Hold it, Preston.

1:50:35 Ladies and gentlemen,

1:50:38 THERE IT IS, CONTESTANT NUMBER ONE. IT'S

1:50:40 PRESTON.

1:50:41 All righty, contestant number two.

1:50:44 What's your name? How old are you?

1:50:46 Jax, 25. Jax, 25. He might have done

1:50:48 this before. Let's see what you got,

1:50:50 buddy.

1:50:58 >> [music]

1:51:09 >> You can see that I'm the one who

1:51:12 you. Been here all along, so why can't

1:51:16 you stay?

1:51:18 You belong with me.

1:51:22 You belong with me.

1:51:23 >> Jacks wouldn't jump the octave, ladies

1:51:25 and gentlemen.

1:51:27 Look at those two go. I think it might

1:51:28 be time

1:51:30 Coach Mick, what do you got, bud? I I

1:51:31 can I can beat both of those guys.

1:51:33 That's no no issue. You think you can

1:51:34 beat both of those guys, Mick? Aren't

1:51:36 you like 60 years old? 60? 62.

1:51:40 Well, all righty. 62

1:51:43 62-YEAR-OLD COACH Mick has

1:51:45 has entered the competition.

1:51:48 Let's see what you got, Coach.

1:51:49 >> [cheering]

1:52:08 [screaming]

1:52:12 [cheering]

1:52:13 >> All righty, fans, it's time to vote. WAS

1:52:16 YOUR WINNER COACH MICK? OR WAS

1:52:20 WAS YOUR WINNER PRESTON?

1:52:23 OR WAS YOUR WINNER JACKS?

1:52:26 >> [cheering]

1:52:27 >> BY UNANIMOUS DECISION, CAKE STAND

1:52:29 KARAOKE CHAMP, IT'S JACKS. [cheering]

1:52:38 MAN, I love Mick.

1:52:41 Wow.

1:52:43 Keegan James, love that guy, too. He's

1:52:45 also facing someone who just entered the

1:52:47 ball game, Mike July. How many times can

1:52:50 you say a guy was in the booth with you

1:52:51 in the first inning in a cow costume,

1:52:53 and now he's actively playing in this

1:52:54 Banana Ball game? Welcome to our lovely

1:52:57 sport. If you're just joining us, it's a

1:52:58 ball and a strike, 2-2 ball game.

1:53:00 Tailgaters lead the trick play battle

1:53:02 9-3. He's AJ Swiatek, I'm Brett Lowne.

1:53:06 Man, where else would you rather be?

1:53:08 seriously? This is just a beautiful day.

1:53:11 A great day, a blessed day. How blessed

1:53:13 are we? Keegan James balling two.

1:53:16 Mhm, EO wanted that one.

1:53:18 We saw James go just tonight ago. He

1:53:20 looked good. Now, the second arm from

1:53:22 the Rockies farm system to pitch for

1:53:24 Loco Beach in this one.

1:53:26 Keegan

1:53:27 really trying to limit his outings to

1:53:28 one inning.

1:53:31 Because he can do a lot of stuff like

1:53:33 that when all he has to do is get three

1:53:34 outs. His first strikeout of the

1:53:36 ballgame. I actually talked to Keegan

1:53:37 after the ballgame last night.

1:53:39 And he was very imperative about how he

1:53:41 felt really good about just having to go

1:53:42 out there and worry about three batters.

1:53:44 Right? Feels like if he can go out there

1:53:46 get three outs, that is going to be the

1:53:48 best way for him to have success here in

1:53:51 his rookie campaign at Banana Ball. Wow,

1:53:53 Eric Asplin way to body that ball up.

1:53:56 Great aim behind the plate.

1:53:58 Keegan James also always rooms on the

1:54:00 road with Will Atterbury. Those two met

1:54:02 when they were Colorado Rockies minor

1:54:04 leaguers. Teammates and they've remained

1:54:06 close friends ever since. The reunion on

1:54:08 Loco Beach meant a lot to the both of

1:54:09 them.

1:54:11 Mhm, fastball powered by Indiana Stanley

1:54:14 who's reached via an error

1:54:17 in his lone plate appearance today.

1:54:28 Indy got a single last night.

1:54:32 Trying to right his wrongs early on in

1:54:33 2026.

1:54:37 You know, Indy I thought such a

1:54:38 vulnerable post on seriously he put out

1:54:40 a few weeks ago talking about this is

1:54:41 the roughest start to any season he's

1:54:43 had in his baseball or Banana Ball

1:54:44 career.

1:54:45 But a very headstrong young man who just

1:54:48 oozes with confidence

1:54:49 and is starting to get back in it. The

1:54:51 better he's going to play, it's only

1:54:52 going to take off from here. Had that

1:54:54 two home run game in Sacramento trying

1:54:55 to build off that single last night.

1:54:57 Payoff pitch incoming from Keegan James.

1:55:02 Indy off the mound and what did I just

1:55:04 tell you?

1:55:06 Keep on building.

1:55:08 It's now Mr. Stanley with that one out

1:55:10 single represents the inning winning one

1:55:12 run at first base.

1:55:14 The inning winning one.

1:55:16 I thought we were just going to glance

1:55:17 over that. Sorry, no. I want to say on

1:55:19 that point as well. I love that post

1:55:21 from Indiana Stanley. It really

1:55:22 humanizes our athletes seeing, you know,

1:55:24 this is a competitive league. It's

1:55:26 entertaining, but you can tell he's a

1:55:27 hyper competitor who expects the most

1:55:29 from himself. That hits a continuation

1:55:32 of what I expect to see from Indy as

1:55:33 this season rolls forward.

1:55:35 E.O.

1:55:36 Geez, man.

1:55:38 Him and Taj

1:55:39 have been really good behind home plate.

1:55:41 I've just bodying these banana balls and

1:55:44 not letting them go anywhere.

1:55:47 Keegan James high level.

1:55:50 Jordan broken bat and it'll die a hero.

1:55:53 AS HE PLAYS THE GUITAR WITH THE BROKEN

1:55:55 PIECE OF LUMBER running down the first.

1:55:58 Back-to-back base hits for these fellas.

1:56:00 At the bottom of the order two, that's

1:56:01 nine and 10 who are able to get on with

1:56:03 base knocks. It turns things over for

1:56:05 Nick Lopez and with Zack Watson on deck,

1:56:07 Kyle Martin in the hole, Keegan James

1:56:08 has his hands full after letting nine

1:56:10 and 10 get to him.

1:56:12 Oh, play that guitar off the line, too.

1:56:14 Why not?

1:56:15 >> That is so awesome, Fiber.

1:56:18 Now three game hit streak for Jordan

1:56:20 Hussey. How about that? I thought if you

1:56:21 were going to play in Texas, you had to

1:56:23 have a fiddle in the band.

1:56:27 Lopec fouls it off.

1:56:34 There is a fiddle

1:56:37 coming over the speakers here in

1:56:38 Hodgetown right now.

1:56:40 Though it is from music in that line.

1:56:45 Inning winning run in scoring position.

1:56:50 What do you know about the chicks?

1:56:52 Uh

1:56:55 And Sin Wagon.

1:56:57 Uh

1:56:59 Grow

1:57:00 Grow up

1:57:02 AJ. Grow up. dance?

1:57:05 Country [music] gold classic. You want

1:57:06 to go to Shania home now? Actually got a

1:57:09 line dance teacher. I'm working on it.

1:57:10 Who?

1:57:12 Alyssa.

1:57:14 Teaching me how to line dance.

1:57:17 >> [music]

1:57:18 >> See how that works. I'm not a good

1:57:19 dancer. I don't really move like that

1:57:20 Brett.

1:57:27 Keegan takes a long look in.

1:57:36 Lo P. Oh, Brewbaker's up on it. Loses

1:57:39 it. Flips it between the legs. Bucket.

1:57:41 Fourth trick play of the afternoon. Out

1:57:44 number two.

1:57:45 And now a pivotal play to parents coming

1:57:47 from LSU's finest. That's where that

1:57:49 professional prowess is on full display.

1:57:51 How about Jordan Brewer and Keegan

1:57:53 James, two long tenured minor leaguers

1:57:55 sticking with that play. I love the bad

1:57:57 coverage from James to help his guy out

1:57:59 and himself for the second of the

1:58:00 inning. And it's not what? Oh, it's Jose

1:58:03 Gutierrez who had his first career

1:58:05 banana ball hit Friday night. Struck out

1:58:07 last night. Those have been his only two

1:58:08 at bats of the weekend.

1:58:11 High chop. Jacoba goes between the legs.

1:58:14 Bucket. HOW ABOUT IT? Keegan James.

1:58:20 Big time get out. And the ball game

1:58:22 stays knotted up at two a piece. What a

1:58:23 weekend for Keegan. Back to back nights.

1:58:25 Back to back gems. Back to back

1:58:27 scoreless innings. Really good to see

1:58:30 him get the train back on the tracks.

1:58:31 Keegan James had his stuff working today

1:58:34 and helps the coconuts [music] keep this

1:58:36 game tied. We're two thirds of the way

1:58:37 home. It's deuce deuce. Whenever these

1:58:39 two teams meet, it's almost guaranteed

1:58:42 to be fireworks on the field.

1:58:53 Amarillo, Texas, and we look to center

1:58:56 field. We're about to get crazy with

1:58:58 Garrett Rhinestone Leopard. Alrighty,

1:59:01 Amarillo, it's time to put a tailgater

1:59:03 twist on a tailgate classic. Out here in

1:59:06 center field, I got two cobs of corn. At

1:59:09 home plate, you'll see two holes. I

1:59:11 think you see where this is going. We're

1:59:13 going to play some cornhole.

1:59:15 These guys are going to get nice and

1:59:16 dizzy starting right now. Start spinning

1:59:18 around.

1:59:20 When I decide they're dizzy enough,

1:59:21 they'll race towards those two holes.

1:59:23 First one to dive on through is going to

1:59:25 win this game of cornhole.

1:59:27 Oh, they're really spinning.

1:59:29 I think they'll be dizzy enough in 3 2 1

1:59:33 GO!

1:59:35 Corn down!

1:59:37 YOU GOT TO FIND HOME PLATE!

1:59:39 HE'S MAKING HIS WAY!

1:59:41 WE'RE GOING TO NEED an epic comeback

1:59:42 from corn COB NUMBER TWO.

1:59:45 IT'S GOING TO BE CLOSE. YOU GOT TO DIVE

1:59:47 THROUGH THAT FINISH!

1:59:50 WHO DO WE GOT?

1:59:54 AND THE WINNER IS COLIN AND THE TEXAS

1:59:58 TAILGATERS!

2:00:08 What you know about corn?

2:00:10 It's corn.

2:00:13 I love that kid.

2:00:16 Good job by Jimmy Lewis.

2:00:18 He's mewling.

2:00:22 Peter.

2:00:24 Coach Crock.

2:00:27 Hey, Coach Crock can move a little bit,

2:00:29 huh? How old is Mark Crockett?

2:00:32 I don't think that's my information to

2:00:33 share.

2:00:34 >> It actually is. 18.

2:00:37 That's old he looks at least, right?

2:00:41 Uh-oh, CD.

2:00:45 Sal Giacobbe.

2:00:49 Stand up. pitch

2:00:55 Oh, a toss back.

2:00:59 Mac and Noodle [screaming]

2:01:03 Mhm,

2:01:04 ball.

2:01:06 So much tension building to that.

2:01:11 So

2:01:12 I got a fun one to tell you between me,

2:01:13 you, and God here in a moment.

2:01:17 The one and oh from CD

2:01:20 Yesterday we ran that rehearsal seven

2:01:22 times. And I was in the box for all

2:01:24 seven of them.

2:01:27 Mac almost hit me a couple times. In the

2:01:28 sky

2:01:30 right center

2:01:32 Jason Arnault in the ballgame

2:01:33 trick trail to him,

2:01:36 >> [screaming]

2:01:36 >> bucket

2:01:37 trick play number 10 on the afternoon

2:01:39 for the Texas Tailgaters. This will now

2:01:42 make it 11 of 14 games where the

2:01:44 Tailgaters have double-digit trick

2:01:46 plays. And that's a really dangerous

2:01:48 spot to try that trick play. It's a

2:01:49 short portion right and he sent it

2:01:52 backwards over his head no [music] look.

2:01:53 If that ends up over the wall, it has a

2:01:55 runner on second but Arnault stuck with

2:01:57 it and cut it off in time. [music] It

2:01:58 turns the lineup over for TA. SWING THE

2:02:01 BAT, TERRELL.

2:02:03 WHAT, they not teach you that at

2:02:04 Mississippi State?

2:02:06 First pitch is the best one you'll see

2:02:07 sometimes, TA. [music]

2:02:11 Oh for three today.

2:02:13 Oh for two I should say actually.

2:02:15 One for three. 100%

2:02:17 Eduardo Nunez hitting Tanner's spot last

2:02:19 time up

2:02:20 and now his first base hit.

2:02:23 Tanner's up there and Jackie Bradley Jr.

2:02:25 in. Here comes the home runs, hits.

2:02:28 And that's crazy to think about but also

2:02:29 not crazy to think about. The two most

2:02:31 decorated baseball players coming to

2:02:32 Banana Ball. They're going to be at the

2:02:34 top of the offensive leader boards.

2:02:35 Pumps

2:02:36 at the top of the weight lifting room.

2:02:39 As he's now with Tarps off He's right

2:02:41 there at the top of the leader boards as

2:02:42 well. Hits, runs, RBI, it's really him,

2:02:45 Tanner Allen, and Jackie Bradley Jr.

2:02:50 Sunshine's now at third.

2:02:53 With Matt coming in playing second here,

2:02:56 Sunshine moves to third.

2:02:58 I'd presume Jordan Bart is just getting

2:03:00 the inning off defensively.

2:03:08 Two and one against Pops.

2:03:12 Coconuts Tailgaters have not scored

2:03:14 since the bottom of the fourth when Jose

2:03:15 Gonzalez had a walk-off homer.

2:03:19 It's been a pitching duel fifth, sixth,

2:03:20 and now here in the seventh.

2:03:22 Pops,

2:03:23 ball for sprint opportunity. Oh, the

2:03:25 outfield started running in. CD told him

2:03:27 to back up.

2:03:30 AND THAT'S WHY. ONE. SIX.

2:03:33 THAT'S IT.

2:03:36 SO, Pops will reach over at first via

2:03:38 fielder's choice, but what a play by CD.

2:03:43 Really nice play. It's not every day you

2:03:45 see the mistake from the shortstop

2:03:46 instead of the pitcher when there's a

2:03:47 ball in play. CD made that look routine

2:03:50 from the hill.

2:03:53 Couple down here in the inning.

2:03:57 Be interesting to see

2:03:59 if CD's just trying to bridge the gap

2:04:01 here to Reese Miller. Still nobody

2:04:03 warming up in the Tailgaters bullpen.

2:04:06 Coconuts have a couple of arms up and

2:04:07 active. One of them being CJ Williams.

2:04:13 Two and one.

2:04:17 CD, by the way,

2:04:20 who has induced already four trick plays

2:04:22 behind him,

2:04:24 leading all of Banana Ball in that

2:04:26 coming into today. 30 trick plays

2:04:28 induced

2:04:29 by Christian Davis. 34 now.

2:04:34 Why not 35?

2:04:35 Bucket.

2:04:37 Tailgaters lead the trick play battle 11

2:04:39 to 5 and CD is coming in absolutely

2:04:42 shoved here for the boys in blue and

2:04:44 orange. Five straight scoreless frames

2:04:47 from the 2025 All-Star and the

2:04:50 Tailgaters hand it to their bats yet

2:04:52 again trying to retake that lead.

2:04:57 >> [cheering]

2:05:02 >> Let's take a look at the trick plays and

2:05:03 how we've gotten to the point we have

2:05:05 >> where Texas has an [music] 11 to 5 lead

2:05:06 in the category. The first logo beats

2:05:08 trick play came on a trick pitch from

2:05:10 Will Ethridge, but really from the

2:05:12 get-go this has been the Tailgaters out

2:05:14 in front and showing why they lead the

2:05:17 league in the category. The outfield

2:05:19 always on the same page. How about

2:05:20 Jordan Hussein with the double trick

2:05:22 play behind the back. Jordan Brewer had

2:05:24 one between the legs to Keegan James.

2:05:26 We've seen 16 total trick plays which is

2:05:29 right on par with what you're expecting

2:05:30 to see for the entirety of a Banana Ball

2:05:32 game. These two teams are both very good

2:05:34 at getting tricky, but to this point the

2:05:36 Tailgaters have dominated the category

2:05:39 and look to be in pole position to hold

2:05:40 on to the equalizer point and keep this

2:05:42 game tied at twos as we head to the

2:05:44 bottom of the seventh with Bad Benny

2:05:46 taking over on the hill, the break

2:05:47 dancing pitcher.

2:05:50 >> [cheering]

2:05:51 >> Former party animal Blake Benson.

2:05:54 0 and 1 this year, but look at that

2:05:55 earned run average. Benson

2:05:58 came in as an entertainment player and

2:06:00 he has now turned into a very reliable

2:06:02 back end of the bullpen arm to set up CJ

2:06:05 Williams. 2.45 the earned run average.

2:06:07 He doesn't walk batters and that is what

2:06:09 coach Crocco and pitching coach Andy

2:06:11 Morales love about Blake Benson. Only

2:06:13 one ball for sprint issued this entire

2:06:15 season. He's a strike thrower who throws

2:06:17 from a unique arm slot and has a special

2:06:20 first baseman playing defense for him,

2:06:22 Jordan Brewer. How are you feeling?

2:06:24 What's up, fellas? How we doing?

2:06:25 >> Brewer, how are you, my friend? It's so

2:06:27 good to speak to you. I miss you, guys.

2:06:29 I miss you more. I love you.

2:06:30 >> You missed that ball by a mile earlier

2:06:32 that you threw up here though. Oh,

2:06:34 going to get one. I don't know where

2:06:35 that went. That that went behind home

2:06:38 plate out of the complex. Thank you.

2:06:40 Amarillo, something special about this

2:06:41 place for you, huh?

2:06:43 Amarillo by morning.

2:06:45 Sing it for me. Hey, no, that's all I

2:06:47 got. That's all I got. That's all I got.

2:06:49 I'm getting I'm getting word that your

2:06:50 child and your wife wants you to finish

2:06:52 this. Listen.

2:06:53 OH MY GOSH, BACKFLIP. HOLD UP. Hold up.

2:06:58 See, if my wife

2:07:00 told me never to do that out here, I

2:07:02 backflip.

2:07:03 But she's like, "No.

2:07:05 You've got enough issues in your life."

2:07:07 Come on.

2:07:08 Come on. Come on, Grady. Do something

2:07:10 cool here.

2:07:11 All right, that's a catch. I'll take

2:07:13 that. That's an out. That's cool enough.

2:07:14 That is true. That's an out. That's an

2:07:15 out. Hey Jordan, why are you wearing

2:07:17 your elbow protector in the field, dude?

2:07:20 You You want to

2:07:21 Listen, I'm leading off next inning.

2:07:23 No, but you've done this more than once

2:07:25 this year.

2:07:25 >> Hey.

2:07:26 That's big brand right there, you know?

2:07:28 You wear your elbow guard in the field

2:07:30 like 67% of the time. That's what the

2:07:32 analytics tell me.

2:07:34 Hey, it works, baby. That's all that

2:07:35 matters. Hey, for real, you're you're

2:07:36 leading all first basemen in trick

2:07:38 plays. Has that come naturally to you or

2:07:40 what is that learning process been like?

2:07:42 Oh, dude, it's been

2:07:44 It's been fun, especially working with

2:07:45 Sal,

2:07:47 uh Dalton and Payton and uh Dane over

2:07:50 there. It's been a It's been a huge

2:07:51 learning curve. Um

2:07:53 but I mean, honestly, it's just a ton of

2:07:55 reps, man. You just got to get used to

2:07:56 it cuz all these guys have different

2:07:58 different angle arm angles and like

2:08:00 certain plays in the hole, they're going

2:08:01 to throw it harder, so you got to pay

2:08:02 attention to that. But uh

2:08:04 Crock's been helping me out a lot over

2:08:06 there. We've been been grinding it cuz

2:08:08 uh

2:08:08 I told him I was going to lead the first

2:08:10 baseman in trick plays this year.

2:08:12 That's going to happen. All right,

2:08:13 Groom.

2:08:14 Besides your obvious beautiful looks,

2:08:16 why did they call you Aquaman?

2:08:18 So, I was Aquaman for the visitors, but

2:08:21 have you ever seen the movie Moana?

2:08:22 100%.

2:08:24 That's where I got the hook from. You

2:08:25 know why? Cuz I got a little Moana at

2:08:26 home.

2:08:27 That's right. That's right. That's what

2:08:29 we call an alley-oop. Next question is

2:08:32 after This is another foul ball. When

2:08:35 will my invitation be extended yet again

2:08:37 to come to your home that I will accept

2:08:38 this time? Hey,

2:08:40 dude, I'm telling you, come over. I

2:08:42 would I would almost send my address out

2:08:43 loud, but I

2:08:44 >> [laughter]

2:08:44 >> I would not do that. Yep, do not say

2:08:47 your address.

2:08:48 We don't want to leak that information.

2:08:49 You got Ridley Rey at home.

2:08:51 Let's not be risking that. No.

2:08:54 You come over anytime.

2:08:55 >> it's time. You want one right here? Hey,

2:08:56 get it. Get it. Get it. BUCKET! BUCKET,

2:08:59 JB! YES, he did.

2:09:02 YOU GOT IT.

2:09:03 THAT'S WHY WE PRACTICE THOSE. Between

2:09:05 the

2:09:06 Man, you make it look easy.

2:09:11 Walk us through this walk-up, Jordan.

2:09:14 This walk-up right here?

2:09:16 Oh, what's going on here?

2:09:18 Who is that? Oh.

2:09:20 I had my first love. Fun fact, I was

2:09:22 actually How old was I? When did this

2:09:24 movie come out?

2:09:25 Uh we were probably in I don't know.

2:09:27 Well, you're a little bit older than me.

2:09:28 >> I think I was in the womb.

2:09:32 Now we've got Chris Clark up here. Do

2:09:34 you have anything you want to say to

2:09:35 him, Jordan?

2:09:36 Oh,

2:09:36 Chris Clark. Hi, Clark. Hey, Jordan

2:09:39 Brewer says hi to you.

2:09:41 They said hello to you.

2:09:45 So tell Lofton if it's good or not.

2:09:47 Lofton

2:09:48 It's like an eight.

2:09:52 Oh, man. That's incredible. Not a big

2:09:55 fan of the hot dogs over at first base.

2:09:57 >> [cheering]

2:09:59 >> Oh.

2:10:00 See you, Chris Clark.

2:10:01 >> Hey, my my pregame meal

2:10:04 I am a two Uncrustables type of guy.

2:10:07 Great. Has to be great. Has to be great.

2:10:09 >> Has to be great. You ever had the

2:10:11 hazelnut chocolate one? No. Mhm. Mhm.

2:10:14 That'll change your life.

2:10:15 >> Hey, chew a little bit faster, Brewer.

2:10:16 We only got you for half an inning here.

2:10:19 All right.

2:10:20 We've now had four surprise visitors up

2:10:22 in the booth today. You got to stay with

2:10:23 me. I'm leaving off next inning. Oh, do

2:10:25 we have to? Yes. We do.

2:10:27 Don't twist my arm. I would love I would

2:10:30 actually hate to talk to Jordan Brewer

2:10:32 more than I already get to. Come on.

2:10:34 Jordan's been

2:10:36 on other worldly good when Mike is up at

2:10:38 the plate this year, Brad. Have you kept

2:10:39 up with that?

2:10:41 Pretty much perfect when he's miked up

2:10:42 at the dish. You just got to stay

2:10:44 relaxed. That's what it is, man.

2:10:45 >> If Binnie hits a trick pitcher and gets

2:10:46 a strikeout, best call of all time. Come

2:10:49 on, bro.

2:10:50 Best call Oh, oh boy.

2:10:52 YOU CAN PUT OH! [screaming]

2:10:55 OOH, Randy selling the clip there. I'm

2:10:56 going to be honest with you.

2:10:59 I would have called that a strike just

2:11:01 because.

2:11:01 >> That was good. Is that three or two?

2:11:03 That's two, two. All right.

2:11:07 We'll be sure to keep you updated. Two

2:11:08 balls, two strikes, two outs and a

2:11:10 golden arm.

2:11:10 >> you. I got to focus, you know. I got to

2:11:12 make sure my steps are right to get back

2:11:13 to first so I can set for a trick play.

2:11:14 You don't have to. All right. I mean,

2:11:16 come on.

2:11:18 OH, COME ON.

2:11:19 FOUL JUMP. [screaming]

2:11:21 TWO OUT SINGLE. ALL RIGHT. Talk to

2:11:23 Taylor Justice. Oh, wow. Gideon.

2:11:27 Um ask Taylor what he thought about his

2:11:29 walk-up. Tell him Brett Lowster asked,

2:11:30 please.

2:11:31 Hey.

2:11:33 Hey, Brett Lowster asked him about your

2:11:34 uh walk-up. You want to say hi?

2:11:35 He miked up. You're right there. I think

2:11:36 I did pretty good that time. It was

2:11:38 pretty good. Tell him I thought it was

2:11:39 much better than last time.

2:11:40 >> much better than last time. Thank you.

2:11:42 And tell him I love him. And he said he

2:11:43 loves you. Just a little.

2:11:45 He I love him most.

2:11:47 Mac Noodle chance to walk it off.

2:11:49 >> said All right. All right.

2:11:51 I'm just here best to bro. Bro, just

2:11:53 just have conversation with him.

2:11:55 Ask him what he ate for breakfast.

2:11:58 Or don't. I want a trick play here.

2:12:00 Uh okay. [ __ ] IT!

2:12:02 OH MY GOSH! [ __ ] IT! [ __ ] IT! OKAY.

2:12:05 READY TO GO HIT NOW.

2:12:06 >> [cheering]

2:12:07 >> I LOVE you so much, Jordan Brewer.

2:12:09 Goodness gracious alive. Y'all got a

2:12:11 chance at equalizer. Love you. I love

2:12:13 you. Jordan reminds me of a TV because

2:12:16 he's got trick plays on demand. We'll

2:12:19 hear from him with his upcoming at bat,

2:12:21 but first we go down to the field after

2:12:23 that beauty, a two-trick play inning,

2:12:25 while miked up for Loaf Lo Man.

2:12:34 Next week in Banana Ball

2:12:36 coconuts, animals, Las Vegas, Nevada on

2:12:40 the Party Animals YouTube channel, 10:00

2:12:42 p.m. Eastern, 7:00 p.m. Pacific time,

2:12:45 first pitch on Thursday night. Clowns,

2:12:47 firefighters in Richmond, Virginia on

2:12:49 the Fire Fighters YouTube channel, 7:00

2:12:51 p.m. Eastern time, first pitch. And then

2:12:54 >> [cheering]

2:12:54 >> the Nanners will play us here in the

2:12:57 Lone Star State, College Station, Texas,

2:13:01 the biggest Banana Ball game of all time

2:13:05 from Kyle Field, 8:00 p.m. Eastern on

2:13:07 Saturday night. You can catch us on

2:13:09 national TV on ESPN 2 or as always,

2:13:13 right here on the Tailgaters YouTube

2:13:15 channel. Shout out to the YouTube chat,

2:13:17 by the way. Thank you guys for opting to

2:13:18 spend your Sunday here with myself and

2:13:20 Brett Loftis and Jordan Brewer, who we

2:13:22 will have miked up here.

2:13:25 Oh, let's see. All right, Jordan's

2:13:27 opening up the chat to questions. If you

2:13:29 have something you want to get on your

2:13:31 mind, off your mind, I guess, to Jordan

2:13:33 Brewer, now's the chance. First come,

2:13:35 first serve.

2:13:37 Chris Christian Davis, fourth inning of

2:13:39 work. I want to I want you to walk us

2:13:41 through this AB as much as possible,

2:13:43 bro.

2:13:44 Yep.

2:13:49 We said a lot today. You fouled off a

2:13:50 lot behind home plate.

2:13:54 Hit a home run here.

2:14:00 Good take.

2:14:02 Oh, yeah. I like that spot. I like that.

2:14:04 No, you don't, Ty.

2:14:08 Ooh, that was a good one. That was a

2:14:10 good changeup. Tell Taj I'll like that

2:14:11 spot.

2:14:12 Hey.

2:14:19 NO.

2:14:20 GO ON. RUN. RUN, JORDAN, RUN.

2:14:23 I'M HITTING. HE LIKES to hit. I want to

2:14:25 hit. Hey, tell Taj uh that I love him.

2:14:28 >> [music]

2:14:28 >> Hey, Brett Brett said he loves you.

2:14:31 Jordan, the chat wants to know what your

2:14:32 favorite TV show was as a kid. Oh, uh

2:14:40 >> [music]

2:14:41 >> No.

2:14:44 Mhm.

2:14:45 Here we go. I like SpongeBob, too.

2:14:47 All right, you you got a three ball, two

2:14:49 strike count here, Jordan.

2:14:49 >> Thank you.

2:14:53 OH, I MISSED IT AGAIN.

2:14:56 JASON HART.

2:14:59 BUCKETS.

2:15:00 >> OH, NO.

2:15:02 I MISSED IT AGAIN. MIKE JULY WITH HIS

2:15:04 THIRD trick play of the year. Oh, bro. I

2:15:08 love you, too, man. No, it's okay.

2:15:10 Jordan, that was awesome.

2:15:11 >> Go take the these next two outs, Jordan.

2:15:12 All right. Hey, I'll talk to you guys

2:15:14 later. You sure will.

2:15:15 >> See you tonight. Can't wait to eat

2:15:16 dinner with you.

2:15:16 >> Yes. Love you. Bye, Brew.

2:15:19 Baby Brew.

2:15:21 How do you not love that guy?

2:15:24 I don't know, actually. I really don't.

2:15:26 We go from one great head of hair to

2:15:28 another, and another guy who is

2:15:29 impossible [music] not to love. It's

2:15:31 infectious when you look at Ashby

2:15:32 Vining.

2:15:37 Vining had a two-hit game last night,

2:15:39 one for three here today.

2:15:41 Really embodies what it means to be fans

2:15:43 first in every stretch of the

2:15:45 definition. He and Ashby spent a lot of

2:15:47 time together this weekend, went to the

2:15:48 hot tub.

2:15:50 Recognized by at least 20 fans. He took

2:15:51 us out with hour and a half to take

2:15:53 pictures, sign autographs, and just be

2:15:55 Ashby Vining,

2:15:57 which is the face of the franchise.

2:15:58 >> [music]

2:15:59 >> Self-proclaimed, by the

2:16:01 Yes.

2:16:03 He's awesome because he has so much

2:16:04 [music] confidence, but he's also such a

2:16:06 good human being. It's such a rare

2:16:08 breed.

2:16:12 Jordan Hussein

2:16:14 from Houston.

2:16:16 Oh my gosh, Ashby's going to try TO GET

2:16:18 TWO. SUNSHINE THROWS IT TO SECOND.

2:16:20 JORDAN BURKE COVERING THE BAG. GOT HIM.

2:16:24 >> [cheering]

2:16:25 >> AND YOUNG FOLKS AT HOME, THAT'S WHY YOU

2:16:27 ALWAYS HUSTLE.

2:16:33 WELL, it's another multi-hit game for

2:16:34 Ashby Vining. This will go as a single

2:16:36 and then caught up on the bases. Vining

2:16:38 was very upset because he felt that the

2:16:40 first base umpire got in his way trying

2:16:42 to round the bag. Very rare that you'll

2:16:44 see him have a word for an official.

2:16:46 You're holding me. What's up?

2:16:47 >> Respectfully, Ashby.

2:16:50 Umpires are part of the field of play.

2:16:53 So, that's different than interference

2:16:54 with another player. I can understand

2:16:56 where the frustration comes in the short

2:16:57 from Ashby.

2:16:58 The human element of that.

2:17:00 You definitely don't want to be held up

2:17:01 by an umpire on a potential bang-bang

2:17:02 play in which he was out on.

2:17:04 However,

2:17:05 that just

2:17:06 comes with the territory. He owed.

2:17:09 Had another hit to his weekend. Two out

2:17:12 single for Eric Ashby. Man, has he

2:17:13 helped himself. He entered this weekend

2:17:15 barely hitting above the Mendoza line.

2:17:17 With that slash, he's now hitting over

2:17:19 250. This is the most comfortable he's

2:17:21 looked all year, just seeing the ball

2:17:22 well. And to Miles ZY2HK

2:17:25 in the chat, how's Yoshi today, boys?

2:17:27 He's sitting on a double rainbow.

2:17:34 Shorty.

2:17:36 Talk about a guy that's trying to find

2:17:37 it here.

2:17:39 Tailing foul into the stands. No,

2:17:42 actually hits off the net.

2:17:44 Shorty over three today.

2:17:46 This could be the AB where he could find

2:17:47 it, though.

2:17:49 Offense at a premium here in the back

2:17:51 half of this ballgame.

2:17:53 Hadn't had a run or points since the

2:17:54 fourth.

2:17:57 Chopper left side, JB.

2:17:59 360. Yep.

2:18:02 Simple five to three in your score book.

2:18:04 Christian Davis, you're not human.

2:18:08 Play that sweet music. That ERA today is

2:18:11 being driven down by the L.

2:18:13 Four scoreless frames

2:18:16 from in my opinion the best left-handed

2:18:18 pitcher our sport has to offer.

2:18:21 And now one of the best traditions in

2:18:23 all of Tailgater Land,

2:18:25 Friends in Low Places. On your feet.

2:18:28 Let's get those arms around each other

2:18:30 all over the ballpark. On your feet,

2:18:33 arms around each other, and I need you

2:18:35 to sing with us as loud as you can a

2:18:38 little Friends in Low Places.

2:19:09 You sound great, Amarillo.

2:19:13 >> [music]

2:19:14 [singing]

2:19:23 [singing and music]

2:19:28 >> We can hear you.

2:19:45 AS LOUD AS YOU CAN.

2:20:06 >> [cheering]

2:20:12 >> Gator up indeed, Garrett Lambert.

2:20:17 Man who did that last year

2:20:19 goes by the name of of Brett Carson. Who

2:20:23 will be the new pitcher on the ballgame

2:20:25 for the Loco Beach Coconuts.

2:20:28 Dual threat Brett, they don't call him

2:20:29 that for anything.

2:20:31 Oh, I guess they call it them for

2:20:32 something. Not for nothing, I should

2:20:34 say. Brett Carson had himself a weekend

2:20:36 already at the plate. With two outs in

2:20:38 the ninth inning of game one, he kept

2:20:39 the line moving with an RBI single that

2:20:42 was immediately followed by Tanner

2:20:43 Allen's three-run home run. Yesterday,

2:20:46 he added another hit to what has been an

2:20:48 already very good weekend in his revenge

2:20:50 tour against the Tailgaters. And now, we

2:20:52 see why he's everywhere all at once.

2:20:54 Brett Carson, one and oh this year on

2:20:56 the rubber. The ERA doesn't tell the

2:20:58 full story. Really, the problem Brett,

2:21:00 and I'd love your insight based on what

2:21:02 you saw last year. This year, the

2:21:03 problem at times has been filling up the

2:21:05 strike zone.

2:21:07 Yeah, unfortunately, I I think that

2:21:09 ended up being a bit of his issues last

2:21:11 year as well for Brett Carson. When he's

2:21:13 in the zone though, he's just like a lot

2:21:14 of guys,

2:21:16 he's very, very tough to hit.

2:21:19 Facing his former battery mate, Taj

2:21:21 Porter.

2:21:22 No balls, two strikes.

2:21:25 Also worth noting that you could see the

2:21:26 future with those glasses he's got on.

2:21:29 12 to eight in trick play back.

2:21:33 Coconuts have a mathematical opportunity

2:21:36 to still win the equalizer cup.

2:21:39 But it is an uphill climb here.

2:21:49 Mhm.

2:21:50 Two balls, two strikes. Taj has punched

2:21:53 out four times via the swinging strike

2:21:55 out today.

2:21:58 A great banana ball game and a great

2:22:00 banana ball product

2:22:02 here in Amarillo.

2:22:04 The final series of the first three-game

2:22:06 series in the history of the Loco Beach

2:22:08 Coconut. Trying to go for a sweep.

2:22:11 Friday night, victorious 6-4 last night,

2:22:13 7-3. Today, deadlocked at two a piece in

2:22:16 the bottom of the eighth.

2:22:18 TP, ball four to Sprint to begin the

2:22:20 match.

2:22:22 I wanted to see him chug [music] for a

2:22:23 second so badly.

2:22:25 That's a trade that really isn't the end

2:22:27 of the world for either side. I mean,

2:22:28 yes, it's the inning-winning run quickly

2:22:30 aboard, but for Loco Beach it sets you

2:22:32 up for a really good potential trick

2:22:34 play spot up the middle. Brett Carson

2:22:36 just got to find a way to induce some

2:22:38 weak contact here against Jose. No, is

2:22:40 that not brother?

2:22:42 Nope, Jason Hart.

2:22:43 Jason hit the last time in this spot as

2:22:45 well, where he struck out. That's

2:22:46 [music] right.

2:22:48 Chop.

2:22:50 Five. I guess I'm just surprised because

2:22:51 brother hit that home run. Yeah, I mean

2:22:54 trying to get different guys in the

2:22:55 lineup, obviously. Jason was slated to

2:22:57 play the back three innings anyway

2:22:58 today, [cheering] and obviously getting

2:22:59 some playing time here for the minor

2:23:00 league squad. Jacob Pipirsic running at

2:23:02 first.

2:23:03 >> [cheering]

2:23:04 >> Still a perfect six for six in stolen

2:23:05 bases this year. Come on, Pip, make it

2:23:07 seven for seven, huh?

2:23:10 Was picked off last night.

2:23:12 Trying to avoid that here this

2:23:14 afternoon.

2:23:16 Run wild, Jacob Jacob Pipirsic. We need

2:23:19 this point.

2:23:21 My July.

2:23:23 Ball on strike one.

2:23:28 Jason has hit safely in six of his last

2:23:30 eight ball games.

2:23:35 Check on Pip yet again.

2:23:40 Pip stole 31 bags last year at Long

2:23:42 Island University. A Division 1 record

2:23:44 there.

2:23:46 Left side, Tuffli, five, four.

2:23:50 Nope. [cheering]

2:23:52 Five to four.

2:23:54 Jordan Brewer asking for the challenge.

2:23:56 That's very important for two reasons.

2:23:57 There was no trick play. And second, but

2:24:00 Sal would have a potential trick play if

2:24:03 Jason Arnt is out at first and Mark

2:24:05 Crocco has initiated a challenge.

2:24:09 Ooh, I think he got him. It's really

2:24:11 close.

2:24:12 Have to really slow it down.

2:24:15 Falls in the mitt there.

2:24:16 Is there one more angle we can possibly

2:24:18 see? I think this could tell us a lot as

2:24:20 well. Let's roll that back ever so

2:24:22 slightly and go a little bit slower here

2:24:23 from this angle.

2:24:26 So, it's not when the ball's in the

2:24:27 mitt. So, we need to go a little bit

2:24:29 further back than that.

2:24:30 Because the ball, you can see it. Hold

2:24:32 up. Go back three frames forward here.

2:24:34 Stop it for us if you can.

2:24:37 Yeah, he's got it. Right there, he's

2:24:38 out. He's got it.

2:24:39 Really good play from Jacobo. How did he

2:24:41 get that relay off in time? Because

2:24:43 Arnt's got plus speed as well.

2:24:47 I think this is a double play for Loco

2:24:48 Beach, guys.

2:24:51 And it will be a trick play there as

2:24:52 well.

2:24:54 Yes!

2:24:56 If the call is overturned, and it is.

2:25:00 However,

2:25:01 >> [cheering and screaming]

2:25:01 >> want to give you something unfortunate.

2:25:03 It is now mathematically impossible for

2:25:05 the Coconuts to win the equalizer point.

2:25:07 So, the Tailgaters have successfully

2:25:09 negated it two out of three games of

2:25:11 this series. So, 12 to nine on the trick

2:25:14 play battle down there.

2:25:16 Is Indiana Stanley one swing of the bat

2:25:20 could still walk this inning off.

2:25:23 He was looking for it right there. Ball

2:25:25 and a strike. With how much

2:25:27 pardon, this series has already been, it

2:25:30 just feels like for whatever reason we

2:25:32 have showdowns in store.

2:25:36 Not if Indy has anything to say about

2:25:37 it.

2:25:38 Very true.

2:25:39 >> warming up in the bullpen. CJ Williams

2:25:42 in the Coconut's bullpen.

2:25:46 Brett Cors

2:25:48 in the zone.

2:25:50 Getting swings and misses.

2:25:52 A ball and two coming from BC.

2:25:55 And Eric Osberg has taken a beating back

2:25:58 there today.

2:26:00 Two-two count, two out. Deuce is wild

2:26:03 yet again.

2:26:07 It has been a pitching takeover

2:26:09 from the fifth inning forward

2:26:11 and Indy

2:26:12 pokes it to right.

2:26:14 Getting an intel calling all pups has it

2:26:17 to conclude matters here in the eighth

2:26:19 inning.

2:26:22 The final inning of play

2:26:25 and we're knotted up at two a piece here

2:26:27 in Amarillo.

2:26:29 And if we cast our gaze upon the

2:26:31 scoreboard, we see this game is

2:26:33 currently tied at two points a piece.

2:26:38 But here's the thing, Amarillo, the

2:26:40 stakes just got so much higher because

2:26:43 here in the ninth, every run that scores

2:26:45 will count for a point, which means

2:26:48 these Loco Beach Coconuts are as

2:26:50 dangerous as ever. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,

2:26:53 WELCOME TO THE FINAL

2:26:56 INNING!

2:27:15 REECE MILLER

2:27:18 WHO PLAYED college ball 20 minutes away

2:27:19 from here at West Texas A&M.

2:27:24 Trying to find himself again.

2:27:26 Trying to throw up a zero.

2:27:28 Something he has not done

2:27:30 in nearly a month.

2:27:32 That's why that ERA has ran up to where

2:27:34 it is. 13 strikeouts though, his [music]

2:27:36 K rate over 20%.

2:27:38 On the very short list of pitchers who

2:27:41 have had that this year.

2:27:43 Not a save opportunity for Reese, but an

2:27:45 opportunity

2:27:46 for him to continue the great pitching

2:27:49 excellence we have seen from the

2:27:51 Tailgaters and specifically Christian

2:27:53 Davis here this afternoon.

2:27:56 Needing Reese.

2:27:59 And now, the Coconuts a golden batter.

2:28:02 The Loco Beach Coconuts are invoking the

2:28:06 golden batter rule. Hitting in place of

2:28:09 J.D. URSO IS YOUR GOLDEN BATTER, TANNER

2:28:14 ALLEN.

2:28:19 TO OPEN this series, Tanner Allen was

2:28:21 given a golden batter opportunity. His

2:28:24 first time around against Reese Miller,

2:28:26 Miller got the last laugh. But Tanner

2:28:28 Allen came up against him for a second

2:28:30 time and left no doubt with a three-run

2:28:32 game-winning home run to right. [music]

2:28:34 Now, they're set for a third duel

2:28:35 against one another in a game knotted at

2:28:37 twos in the ninth.

2:28:40 One and oh.

2:28:44 A hanging slider is what Tanner Allen

2:28:46 hit

2:28:47 over the right field fence to plate

2:28:50 three runs that translated to points in

2:28:52 the ninth inning Friday night.

2:28:55 He's in the driver's seat here.

2:29:00 2-0 Friday night, got a slider. 2-0 here

2:29:03 at 94 mile an hour fastball from Reese.

2:29:08 Ooh.

2:29:10 Got a piece of Tanner's foot.

2:29:16 Man, guy was camping in both calves

2:29:18 yesterday.

2:29:20 Right now, looks over from the

2:29:21 encouragement from the Tailgaters

2:29:22 dugout.

2:29:31 >> [cheering]

2:29:34 >> 2-2 count FOR TANNER ALLEN.

2:29:37 GOT [screaming] HIM!

2:29:39 >> [cheering]

2:29:39 >> REVENGE IS SUCH A sweet thing.

2:29:42 REECE MILLER

2:29:44 PUNCH-OUT NUMBER ONE and out number one

2:29:46 here in the night.

2:29:49 >> [cheering]

2:29:50 >> Beautiful pitch, ran all the way across

2:29:52 the zone and evaded the barrel.

2:29:55 Sword, 0-1.

2:29:59 We know his slider is the best pitch in

2:30:01 all of Bananaland, but what about the

2:30:02 rest of that arsenal?

2:30:05 Reece showing it off right now.

2:30:07 That's as middle missle as it gets.

2:30:10 Middle missle, middle middle as it gets.

2:30:13 1-1.

2:30:16 Same spot, ball and two.

2:30:27 Ooh.

2:30:28 What a defensive swing from the Ant Man.

2:30:30 Waited till the last possible second.

2:30:32 He's just up [music] there fighting

2:30:34 right now. Trying to keep the line

2:30:35 moving. They want to get Tanner Allen

2:30:37 another look in this inning, but someone

2:30:38 has to get on for that to happen.

2:30:44 >> [cheering]

2:30:46 >> Ooh.

2:30:48 Gideon Antell Sal Giacalone will be on

2:30:51 deck.

2:30:51 >> [cheering]

2:30:58 [screaming and cheering]

2:30:58 >> Gideon smoked out of left field line,

2:31:01 but off the netting and foul.

2:31:03 >> [cheering]

2:31:04 >> Big time pitch. I'll take you back to

2:31:06 Tallahassee two months ago. Ninth

2:31:08 inning, Gideon Antell

2:31:10 go-ahead home run in the top of the

2:31:11 ninth on opening night

2:31:14 en route to the first ever win for the

2:31:15 Loco Beach Coconut. The 2-2 to it.

2:31:19 High in the sky out to left. Waddy

2:31:23 out number two.

2:31:26 >> [cheering]

2:31:27 >> And now, you've already burned your

2:31:29 golden batter, A.J. Sliney.

2:31:31 So, Sal Giacobbe with the opportunity to

2:31:33 turn it over for the top of the order.

2:31:35 The difference here for Reese Miller has

2:31:37 been being in the zone. Really, when he

2:31:39 walked Eric when he issued the ball four

2:31:41 sprint to Eric Asberg on night one, you

2:31:42 saw it unravel. He looks so much more

2:31:44 confident after throwing a first pitch

2:31:46 strike, and it's worked to his favor two

2:31:48 at bats in a row. Did you just almost

2:31:50 say the W word? I did.

2:31:52 Ball four sprints, A.J. Sliney.

2:31:55 Hopefully not one here. Two outs, top of

2:31:56 the ninth, 2-2 ballgame. Reese Miller

2:31:58 versus Sal Giacobbe. 0-1.

2:32:01 Reese Miller sat with me for two hours

2:32:04 after the Banana Ball open win last

2:32:05 Sunday afternoon. Said, "I just need a

2:32:07 clean out." Friday night, he looked at

2:32:09 me said, "I just need a clean out."

2:32:12 "I just need it, Brett."

2:32:14 "I know my stuff's good."

2:32:16 "I know I'm a bad dude."

2:32:18 Taylor in foul territory.

2:32:21 Cannot find.

2:32:24 He said, "I know who I am. I was taken

2:32:26 in the third round for a reason." And

2:32:28 now, 20 minutes away

2:32:30 from where he spent the last three years

2:32:32 of his college baseball career, West

2:32:34 Texas A&M, to right all of his wrong.

2:32:37 In a tied ballgame, here in his home

2:32:39 state, he's one strike away from

2:32:41 throwing up a zero.

2:32:51 Nobody has scored since the fourth

2:32:52 inning. The Coconuts haven't scored

2:32:54 since the third inning.

2:32:55 The 1-2

2:32:57 to the backstop. Sal thought about it,

2:32:59 will not go.

2:33:01 Deuce cannot be more wild.

2:33:03 Two balls, two strikes, two outs, 2-2

2:33:06 ballgame. Number 22 on the bump and

2:33:09 number two at the dish.

2:33:21 Ooh, Salamanders staying alive.

2:33:28 10 1 and 2 loom for the Tailgaters.

2:33:32 Sal Giacobbe still sprawling off here.

2:33:37 2-2 tango again.

2:33:39 Sal

2:33:40 pokes it out to shallow right. JASON

2:33:42 BREAKS IT IN. JASON ARK

2:33:44 WITH A DIVING GRAB. [screaming]

2:33:47 AND THREE UP, THREE down

2:33:49 for the Whalers killer.

2:33:51 THAT'S THE WAY YOU RIGHT YOUR WRONGS.

2:33:58 TIED, it'll force a showdown. But why

2:34:02 WORRY ABOUT THAT WHEN YOUR TEXAS

2:34:04 TAILGATERS NEED JUST ONE RUN TO WALK IT

2:34:08 OFF AND WIN IT RIGHT HERE IN THE NINTH.

2:34:10 AMARILLO, [screaming]

2:34:11 IT'S TIME TO GATOR UP BECAUSE IT ALL

2:34:15 COMES DOWN TO THIS.

2:34:19 >> [cheering]

2:34:23 >> AND ONE OF THE BEST closers in our sport

2:34:27 to another one of the best closers in

2:34:29 our sport.

2:34:30 C.J. [cheering]

2:34:32 Williams

2:34:34 He has the aura of a super villain.

2:34:36 He has a fastball of your favorite

2:34:38 pitcher.

2:34:39 And he's going to strike you out and

2:34:41 then he's going to let you know about

2:34:42 it.

2:34:44 Biggest trash talker in the league, C.J.

2:34:46 Williams has backed it up to this point.

2:34:48 So good in save opportunities. This is

2:34:50 the guy you need to have on the hill

2:34:52 when you need to have the inning. He has

2:34:54 no room to work with. Can't allow a run

2:34:56 because it would walk things off. And

2:34:58 the baddest man in Banana Ball's going

2:35:00 to have to get through the Tailgaters

2:35:01 lineup to try to send this thing to

2:35:03 showdowns.

2:35:04 10 1 and 2.

2:35:06 And I already see a golden robo down

2:35:09 there in the Tailgaters dugout.

2:35:11 Might I remind you

2:35:13 the first ever time C.J. Williams faced

2:35:15 the golden batter, it was the first ever

2:35:17 time he conceded an earned run in his

2:35:19 banana ball career. That was in Frisco.

2:35:21 That golden batter

2:35:23 Kyle Martin.

2:35:24 Who will it be today donning the gold

2:35:27 helmet and the gold robe in Amarillo?

2:35:32 The Texas Tailgaters are invoking the

2:35:35 golden batter rule. NOW BATTING IN PLACE

2:35:38 OF JORDAN HUSSEIN is the Tailgaters

2:35:41 golden batter. Please welcome KYLE K

2:35:45 MART

2:35:47 MARTIN.

2:35:49 >> [cheering]

2:35:52 >> DEJA vu all over again.

2:35:56 The golden helmet of Kyle Martin. The

2:35:58 right arm of CJ Williams. The only

2:36:00 difference? CJ had a one-point lead to

2:36:02 play with in Frisco. Here, it's a

2:36:05 two-to-two ballgame.

2:36:06 Big on big.

2:36:14 Fouled off. K Mart so far today

2:36:17 0 for 3.

2:36:18 Had a home run in the ninth inning last

2:36:20 night.

2:36:21 I'd love for that to repeat here today.

2:36:29 The league leader in Yaya.

2:36:32 Five home runs on the year.

2:36:34 Tied with Jose Gonzalez who homered back

2:36:37 in the fourth.

2:36:39 The 1-1 from CJ.

2:36:44 Fouled off down the left field line.

2:36:45 Fans have an opportunity on the

2:36:46 concourse. Not to be.

2:36:51 He didn't miss that by much at all.

2:37:02 K MART.

2:37:04 SHALLOW CENTER.

2:37:06 AND IT ONE-HOPS BEN PARKER.

2:37:09 K Mart a big round at first. Pumps gets

2:37:12 it back in.

2:37:13 The game-winning

2:37:15 run stands at first in form of Jordan

2:37:18 Hussein who will come on to run in his

2:37:20 spot in the order as it turns up the

2:37:22 lineup card to the lead-off hitter Nick

2:37:24 Lopez.

2:37:25 Lopey has played hero so many times in

2:37:28 the history of the Tailgaters. Most

2:37:30 recently walking it off in showdowns

2:37:32 last Sunday afternoon to win the Banana

2:37:34 Ball Open tournament.

2:37:37 Jordan Hussein plus speed.

2:37:41 Stands 270 ft away

2:37:43 from the Tailgaters getting win number

2:37:45 six of 2026.

2:37:55 Two and 0.

2:37:57 Ball four sprint here will do wonders.

2:38:01 CJ Williams

2:38:03 throws strikes over 70% of the time.

2:38:07 Got to fill it up here.

2:38:14 That's a really tough miss.

2:38:16 Hussein could score from first on a ball

2:38:19 four sprint if he's feeling aggressive.

2:38:21 Ball four sprint.

2:38:23 Jordan takes off. Got to be a clean

2:38:24 transfer here from the Coconuts.

2:38:27 Hussein

2:38:28 was ready to go home.

2:38:30 But definitely don't want to test the

2:38:31 arms of either Antel or Grady Morgan.

2:38:33 That time would have been Grady Morgan.

2:38:35 So now the game-winning

2:38:38 run stands at third base in form of

2:38:40 Jordan Hussein. And it's Zach Watson.

2:38:44 Let me take you back to LSU A SEASON AGO

2:38:47 WHEN WATTY walked it off in showdowns

2:38:49 against the Part Ain't.

2:38:55 Zach Watson

2:38:57 the only ever two-time Gold Glove winner

2:38:59 in the history of LSU.

2:39:04 A third-year Banana Ball.

2:39:06 An OG Tailgater.

2:39:10 No balls and two strikes. Lopy still

2:39:12 set.

2:39:14 It's a big test for CJ Williams, too.

2:39:16 Love him in this high-leverage spot.

2:39:23 Pumps it! Shallow left!

2:39:26 Brady Morgan's going TO HAVE A PLAY AT

2:39:27 THE PLATE! HUSSEIN SAFE!

2:39:30 Tailgators win!

2:39:31 TAILGATORS WIN!

2:39:33 TAILGATORS WIN!

2:39:35 >> [cheering]

2:39:36 >> THREE TO TWO! ZACH WATSON PLAYS HERO IN

2:39:40 THE BEST WEEKEND HE'S HAD IN ALL OF

2:39:42 2026.

2:39:52 They're mobbing HIM OUT IN SHALLOW RIGHT

2:39:54 FIELD.

2:39:57 AND NOW, I THINK IT'S TIME FOR THE TEXAS

2:40:00 TAILGATORS TO DANCE A little bit.

2:40:39 >> [music]

2:41:02 >> ONE MORE TIME! A THIRD TIME

2:41:05 WHAT A WALK OFF.

2:41:08 Here from Amarillo Tech.

2:41:09 >> [cheering]

2:41:10 >> As the boys in blue and orange.

2:41:12 Spoil.

2:41:13 A sweep.

2:41:16 Coconut still win their first ever three

2:41:18 game series.

2:41:20 Two games to one.

2:41:21 >> [cheering]

2:41:21 >> But the Tailgaters in the worst way

2:41:22 possible.

2:41:23 Needed today.

2:41:25 Getting you in the open. It's great.

2:41:27 You're locked in the playoffs. Cool.

2:41:28 Sick. You're still playing for seeding.

2:41:30 You're still playing to have momentum in

2:41:32 October. And while we are still a long

2:41:34 ways away from that.

2:41:35 Today, you needed it. And off the backs

2:41:38 of Christian Davis.

2:41:41 You needed it.

2:41:42 The best player on the field today.

2:41:45 Christian Davis. Four scores today.

2:41:47 >> [cheering]

2:41:48 >> Induced a lot of trick plays.

2:41:51 And was vintage CD yet again.

2:41:54 Who is slowly becoming the best

2:41:56 left-handed pitcher in this sport.

2:42:00 But.

2:42:02 Let's get Steve.

2:42:03 Has grabbed the Tailgate.

2:42:05 And let's see who it is for our showman

2:42:07 of the game.

2:42:09 MVP of the Banana Ball Open. Showman of

2:42:12 the game today. Jordan, you guys prevent

2:42:15 the sweep. How important was it to get

2:42:16 this win? It was super important,

2:42:18 especially after, you know, a couple

2:42:19 sloppy days the last two days. But you

2:42:21 know, baseball's a grind and happy to

2:42:23 come out of come out of here with one

2:42:25 win. Now usually I'm the one asking a

2:42:26 ton of questions, but I got a couple of

2:42:28 guys here. It's their birthday. We're

2:42:30 going to start here with 9-year-old

2:42:31 Connor. He has a big question for you.

2:42:32 What was your question for him?

2:42:34 Um, what what is your Disney walk up

2:42:38 song?

2:42:39 Why?

2:42:41 What was your What was your Disney walk

2:42:42 up song and why? Why would Which one

2:42:44 would you choose?

2:42:44 >> My Disney walk up song. Uh,

2:42:47 it's Sweet Life of Zack and Cody. Is

2:42:48 that Disney or not? That'll work.

2:42:50 >> Yeah, I'll choose that one. That's what

2:42:51 I watched growing up as a kid. Awesome.

2:42:53 And 10-year-old Easton, come on up here.

2:42:54 What was your question for Jordan? Um,

2:42:57 would you rather hit with a pool noodle

2:42:59 or a

2:43:00 frying pan? Back.

2:43:02 Pool noodle or frying pan? What weapon

2:43:03 you using? Probably a frying pan. I used

2:43:04 to play people in racquetball with a

2:43:06 frying pan. So, probably a frying pan.

2:43:08 Great questions. They might take my job,

2:43:10 boys. Excellent job. Thank you so much.

2:43:12 That is our showman of the game.

2:43:14 Appreciate you, JB, so much. We're going

2:43:15 to try to find Waddy here. Where is he

2:43:17 at?

2:43:19 All right, let's hear it. We're going to

2:43:20 try to get down to Waddy right here.

2:43:23 Waddy, I got to pull you away from the

2:43:24 line here a little bit. Actually, keep

2:43:26 Keep giving it up.

2:43:27 What's What was it like to get that big

2:43:29 hit and

2:43:32 Hey, SMITTY. WADDY. I CALLED HIM YOU THE

2:43:34 OTHER DAY.

2:43:36 HEY, but hey, look, what did this mean

2:43:38 to prevent the sweep for the Tailgaters

2:43:39 and how can you build up this? That's

2:43:40 huge. I was just trying to get something

2:43:41 in play. We keep this rolling into the

2:43:43 Bananas next weekend. The guys are all

2:43:45 fired up. We stayed away from the sweep

2:43:47 and that's what we could do. Tarps off

2:43:48 with a with a big hit and a big win like

2:43:50 that. All right, guys, let's head it

2:43:51 back to you.

2:44:02 Great over there at third. But I mean

2:44:05 Christian Davis is the reason Tailgaters

2:44:07 won [music] this game. I mean, four

2:44:08 straight scoreless innings, comes in,

2:44:10 induced again, eight trick plays

2:44:13 unofficially. I didn't count all of them

2:44:14 up, but induced eight trick plays what I

2:44:16 have counted in my head. A few of those

2:44:18 from Jordan Barth. I mean, incredible,

2:44:20 incredible game all around for the

2:44:21 Tailgaters.

2:44:22 >> we talked about it in the pregame.

2:44:24 Entering today, the Cocounts had scored

2:44:26 22 runs across the first two games of

2:44:29 this series. That's 11 a night. CD was a

2:44:31 big part of the fact they held Loco

2:44:32 Beach to three total runs today. The

2:44:34 most potent offense in the BBCL was held

2:44:37 at bay and they made them look human.

2:44:39 The Texas pitching staff should be very

2:44:41 proud of what they put together THIS

2:44:43 AFTERNOON. THREE TO TWO the final score

2:44:45 for the good guys. The boys in blue and

2:44:47 orange. But the boys from the beach, to

2:44:49 look macro level here as we'll bring you

2:44:50 back in. AJ Swiatek, I'm Bret Loftis.

2:44:54 Special weekend. First three game series

2:44:56 of 2026 and your boys win the series.

2:44:59 Coming off a weekend again, I know we

2:45:00 made this story and it's so important to

2:45:01 reiterate. You didn't even play in the

2:45:03 opener. You got swept by the clowns in

2:45:05 Charleston and then come in and do what

2:45:06 they did the last two nights. That makes

2:45:08 a statement and I really would say this

2:45:09 AJ

2:45:11 puts the rest of the league on notice. I

2:45:13 completely agree. I've said it once and

2:45:14 I'll say it again. Every time you watch

2:45:16 Loco Beaches, no matter what the series

2:45:18 is this season, they have proven in

2:45:20 their inaugural season they can hang

2:45:21 with anybody. Whether it be a team that

2:45:23 just won the Banana Ball Championship

2:45:25 League open in the Tailgaters or last

2:45:27 year's defending champions when they

2:45:28 swept the Party Animals. This is a team

2:45:30 that is not afraid to take on anybody

2:45:32 and that's because they're always going

2:45:33 to greet you with a smile and you're

2:45:35 going to feel that love in your heart.

2:45:36 It didn't go Loco Beaches' way today,

2:45:38 but the world still gives us plenty of

2:45:40 reasons to smile and it's a big win for

2:45:42 the Texas Tailgaters.

2:45:43 >> Huge win. They needed it. Had to have

2:45:44 it. You could not go and land at five

2:45:46 and nine. You land four games below .500

2:45:49 here, that's going to put you in a big

2:45:50 deficit when it comes to seating. Now,

2:45:52 both of these two teams roll out of

2:45:54 Amarillo same records, six and eight,

2:45:57 the Coconuts and the Tailgaters. And

2:45:58 again, showman of the game today, Jordan

2:46:00 Barth, Christian Davis honorable mention

2:46:03 and Zack Watson plays heroes. We had a

2:46:04 walky walk off there, three to two

2:46:06 winners are the Texas Tailgaters. For

2:46:08 everyone back in Savannah led by coach

2:46:10 Backwoods and Keegan Woods and everyone,

2:46:12 replay, graphics, everything that was

2:46:14 going on. And King Pookie Bear, our

2:46:17 producer and Mohawk Mike, AJ Swiatek for

2:46:20 Rex Castillo down on the field. I'm Bret

2:46:21 [music] Loftis telling you stay safe,

2:46:23 stay happy, have a blessed one. We'll

2:46:24 see you in College Station next weekend.

2:46:26 Until then, Gator up.

2:46:58 >> I am

2:48:50 >> Mhm.
