📝 Full transcript (3766 segments)

0:00 Heat. Heat.

2:15 Virginia is for lovers, but last Tonight

2:18 it was for the fighters. A convincing 52

2:21 win for the firefighters in their first

2:23 ever home city here in Richmond. Tonight

2:26 we square up for round two of the

2:28 firefighters in Indianapolis Clowns from

2:30 the capital of the Commonwealth. Can the

2:33 fire and flames reach their first ever

2:35 doubledigit winark? Or do the clowns

2:37 rescue the series in the homecoming of

2:40 Jackie Bradley Jr.? It's the

2:42 firefighters. It's the Indianapolis

2:44 Clowns live and in living color from

2:47 Richmond, Virginia. Let's roll. And with

2:50 that, welcome inside the Dispatch Center

2:52 here at the beautiful CarMax Park. I'm

2:55 Zach Stton, proudly, by the way,

2:56 representing the good folks at the

2:58 Carsville Volunteer Fire Department down

3:00 in Virginia Beach where my father-in-law

3:02 Frankie has served for over 40 years. It

3:05 was a wild scene here last night, but it

3:07 was all for the firefighters. Remember,

3:09 just a little less than a year ago, they

3:11 played at the diamond across the street

3:12 in their first ever headlining series.

3:14 They lost game one, but the they split

3:17 the series and won game two. They're off

3:19 to a much better start here at the new

3:20 CarMax Park. We take you to the

3:22 highlights from Friday night where it

3:25 was really off and rolling for the

3:26 Indianapolis Clowns. Joe Gray Jr. first

3:29 swing, first hit, first home run of the

3:32 night, his second homer of his banana

3:34 ball career. Just like that off Bradford

3:36 Webb makes it a one- nothing Clowns lead

3:38 after one inning. And then the

3:40 firefighters found the firepower. Lamar

3:42 Sparks, Brian Dancro, didn't even need

3:44 to look for it. That was off the black

3:46 there, off the roof. It's a 1-1 game

3:49 after the two-run walk-off bomb. Then

3:52 next inning, Armando Betta. Did you

3:54 think it was GONE AT HOME? IT DOESN'T

3:56 MATTER WHAT YOU THINK. THAT'S IN THE

3:58 WORDS OF THE FIREFIGHTERS, cuz it was

4:00 gone. Two-run blast. It's backto back

4:02 innings. walked off by a two-run bomb.

4:05 Mason Maxwell down the right field line

4:07 in the fourth inning trying to stretch a

4:09 single into a double. And boy, he's got

4:11 great speed, but Joe Gray Jr. had a home

4:13 run. Now he's got a great throw down at

4:15 second base. That's just a great job

4:17 going the opposite way to get the tag

4:19 out there to Bobby Leay. But Mason made

4:21 up for it with a little redemptive swing

4:23 in the bottom of the sixth inning,

4:24 chopping it right back up the middle.

4:26 Runner from third scores. It's a 4-1

4:28 lead for the Fire and Flames. And then

4:30 the trick plays really helping him out

4:32 as well, denying the Clowns the

4:34 equalizer point. Nine trick plays, just

4:36 two. Virginia Beach native, South

4:38 Tremble, the Magic Man, makes the ball

4:40 disappear off the tip drill from Tyler

4:41 Hughes. And then three strikeouts in the

4:43 ninth inning for Johnny Hmel. Just one

4:46 base runner allowed for him. And the

4:47 Firefighters cruise to a 52 win here in

4:51 the capital city of the Commonwealth.

4:53 They now lead the season series four

4:56 games to two. And it was really done

4:58 with some opportunistic hitting and

5:00 great fielding and pitching especially

5:03 from Bradford Webb. A four inning start

5:05 for the Charlotte Courthouse, Virginia

5:07 native. But Armando Basedo was

5:09 unbelievable. Did it with an aggressive

5:10 bat in the third and then a patient at

5:13 bat in the eighth inning with a walk-off

5:15 ball for Sprint. A couple of trick plays

5:18 for him as well out in center field. He

5:20 is a surefire as you'll find here for

5:22 the Fire in Flames. that only

5:24 strengthened their lead, by the way, on

5:26 second place here in the Banana Ball

5:28 Championship League standings. Let's

5:30 take a peek at that right now. We might

5:31 get some moving and shaking with it

5:33 throughout the league. Probably not at

5:35 the top, though, because tonight at Kyle

5:36 Field, the Bananas and Texas Tailgator

5:38 play. Tailgator could go 8-8 if they

5:40 sweep that series. Bananas, all they

5:42 could do is fall to 11 and four.

5:44 Firefighters still firmly in control of

5:46 second place. The Coconuts and Party

5:47 Animals will get to what they did last

5:49 night in Las Vegas. When I say they, I

5:52 mean Loco Beach Clowns in 10th place.

5:54 They'd really like to or excuse me, in

5:56 sixth place. 10th. Whoops. Sixth place.

5:58 They'd really like to find something

5:59 here tonight. This is a brand new park

6:02 and it's a beautiful one. And for more

6:03 on what this park brings, CarMax Park.

6:06 Let's send it down to Mattie Warren.

6:08 >> Zach, you said it perfectly. This is a

6:09 beautiful park that actually saw its

6:11 first game ever just last month on April

6:14 7th. So, we feel more lucky than ever to

6:16 be able to be here playing on this

6:18 field. Now, the stadium is beautiful.

6:20 There's a video board in the outfield

6:22 that I am shocked that Lamar Sparks has

6:24 not broken at this point with BP and his

6:26 home run from last night. But more than

6:29 just the state-of-the-art features of

6:30 this ballpark, it is the people that

6:32 have made this feel like home to us. If

6:34 you look closely on the broadcast later

6:36 tonight, you will see not just red lines

6:39 down the first and third base side, but

6:41 you will also see a ring of flames

6:43 around home plate and some flames on the

6:45 pitcher mound as well. Richmond has

6:46 become a second home to the firefighters

6:49 and it truly feels like that thanks to

6:51 the incredible grounds crew here. So

6:52 again, beautiful ballpark, even better

6:55 people. Now, Zach, I love that I get to

6:57 be down here for the entire game, but

6:58 I'm going to send it back up to you with

7:00 probably the best view in the house that

7:02 you have.

7:03 >> Yeah, I do have the best view in the

7:04 house here. You can see the beautiful

7:06 mountainscape here from Virginia, the

7:08 skyline of Richmond just off in the

7:10 distance, and the beautiful diamond off

7:12 into left field. This is a gem of a park

7:16 here in Richmond and we've got a gem of

7:18 a game here in Banana Ball. Let's find

7:19 out the rules of this beautiful sport

7:21 with virtual Jesse Cole.

7:25 >> Banana Ball is the fastest and most

7:27 entertaining show in sports. And the 11

7:30 rules guarantee the most fans first

7:32 experience every second.

7:34 >> Unbelievable.

7:35 >> WELCOME TO THE BANANA BALL CHAMPIONSHIP

7:37 LEAGUE.

7:38 >> Rule number one, win the inning, win the

7:40 point. The team that scores the most

7:42 runs in an inning wins the point.

7:44 >> IT'S A WALK-OFF WINNER TO THE deepest

7:47 pole IN THE FIELD. OH MY GOODNESS.

7:50 >> WITH the equalizer point, trick plays

7:52 provide the away team an opportunity to

7:54 earn a point going into the final

7:55 inning. And in the final inning, every

7:58 run counts as a point. Rule number two,

8:01 Banana Ball has a 2hour time limit,

8:03 guaranteeing that every game is

8:06 fast-paced and action-packed. Rule

8:08 number three, no stepping out of the

8:10 batter's box. If you do, it will result

8:13 in a strike.

8:13 >> Max stepped out of the box and because

8:15 he stepped out of the box, that's it.

8:17 >> Rule number four, no bunting. Cuz

8:20 bunting sucks. If you bunt, you'll be

8:22 thrown out of the game. Rule number

8:24 five, batters can steal first base.

8:26 >> Ball three, GET TAKEN OFF FOR FIRST

8:28 THROW FROM LAROY IN TIME.

8:31 >> Rule number six, there's no walks. Walks

8:35 are ball force sprints. The batter can

8:37 advance as far as they want until every

8:39 position player touches the ball.

8:41 >> NO DEFENDERS HAVE TOUCHED THE BANANA

8:43 BALL. IT IS A FOUR BASE SPREAD TO OPEN

8:46 UP THE ball game.

8:47 >> Rule number seven, no mound visits.

8:51 >> Nope. Rule number eight, foul balls

8:54 caught by a fan count as an out.

8:56 >> Oh, they're dead. They can't guard it on

8:59 the clock. We're going to show

9:02 >> rule number nine, the showdowns. In

9:05 showdowns, the best of the best face off

9:07 in the biggest moment. One hitter verse

9:10 one pitcher with one fielder behind

9:12 them. And the hitter has to score deep

9:14 to right center. See you later.

9:19 >> Rule number 10, the banana ball

9:20 challenge rule gives the coaches and

9:23 you, the fans, a chance to impact a call

9:25 on the field. Rule number 11, the golden

9:29 batter. Once a game, each team can give

9:31 any player in a bat, regardless of the

9:33 lineup. This offers the biggest matchups

9:36 on the biggest stage.

9:37 >> Big on big.

9:40 It's good. It's good. Let's go.

9:43 >> Get out of here. Ball. THAT THING HAD A

9:46 FAMILY.

9:48 And those are the rules of banana ball.

9:57 >> WE'RE READY TO PLAY BANANA BALL. AND

9:59 WE'RE READY TO WELCOME THE FIRE AND

10:01 FLAMES BACK TO RICHMOND. HERE THEY COME.

10:29 You got

10:33 to

11:00 Don't get me

11:21 Virginia.

11:23 IT IS TIME TO WELCOME YOUR 2026

11:28 FIRES.

11:32 BEHIND THE PLATE, WE HAVE Eric Joe Jr.

11:40 followed by

11:42 Dalton, the mayor of Pippatrick

11:46 Gette

11:50 as well as Zachary Z bridge.

11:59 These are catchers.

12:03 And in left field, we have Noah

12:09 bridge.

12:13 And in last center, we have Armando,

12:19 Bad Bunny, Moa.

12:24 And in right center, we have the fan who

12:28 started the fire, Leon Sports.

12:34 And in right field we have the premium

12:40 mid

12:42 down.

12:44 And at the hot corner we have Logan

12:49 Showtime.

12:54 followed by not so tiny Tiner Hughes.

13:02 And at shortstop, we have Kadan

13:07 Night.

13:11 And at second base, Smoke Down Trimble.

13:19 And at first base we have the Mad Max B

13:25 Max Maxwell.

13:29 And as well we have Dakota

13:33 Batt.

13:36 And the fireman on the mound is your

13:41 pitchers.

13:43 And this is your 2026

13:46 Fire.

14:15 The firefighters are back in their first

14:18 ever home city, Richmond, Virginia, with

14:21 fire shooting out of the ground and

14:23 bunker gear coming off. A crowd of

14:26 10,000 coming to Carmax Park here in the

14:29 capital city of the Commonwealth. We

14:31 welcome you back to Richmond, Virginia.

14:32 And hey, this is a home game in some

14:35 parts for a couple different

14:36 firefighters. South Trimble from

14:37 Virginia Beach, Bradford Weld from

14:39 Charlotte Courthouse, Virginia. He's a

14:41 VCU Ram. As was Ben Dumb from 2016 to

14:44 2019, our closer here in the land of

14:47 fire and flames. He's down on the field

14:49 with Mattie Warren. Talk about the

14:51 emotions coming back to his college

14:53 town.

14:55 >> Hey, Zach. I'm down here with Ben, one

14:57 of our VCU alum here on the

14:59 firefighters. And you took a little bit

15:01 of a field trip yesterday because

15:03 there's a familiar place behind us.

15:04 Yeah.

15:05 >> Yep. Yeah. Coincidentally, uh the VTU

15:08 Rams, uh me and Bradford Webs, alma

15:10 modders playing at that stadium right

15:12 there in that backdrop there. So, uh it

15:14 worked out well. They were playing

15:16 yesterday while while we were in uh

15:18 pregame. So, we were able to walk over

15:20 there and uh see a couple pitches of the

15:22 second game of our double header. So,

15:24 special experience to be able to go over

15:26 there, see some familiar faces, and uh

15:28 yeah, special time. Does it feel kind of

15:30 surreal to be in this brand new stadium

15:33 playing professional ball while

15:34 literally being able to see the stadium

15:36 that you played college ball in?

15:37 >> It's very surreal. You know, I love

15:39 coming back to the city where where I

15:40 spent my college years. It's a special

15:42 town. A lot of special memories here.

15:44 And to be able to uh welcome this new

15:46 park to Banana Ball uh with uh the

15:49 stadium right in the backdrop. Uh it's

15:50 just a really cool reminder to be able

15:52 to see that back there.

15:53 >> Now, we do have Bradford Web here now.

15:55 Come on in, Bradford. Come right to my

15:57 right. you were a part of the pre-show,

15:59 but I want you to talk a little bit

16:01 about the fact that your alma mater is

16:03 right behind us on the field that you're

16:04 playing professionally on.

16:05 >> Absolutely. Yeah, VCU is obviously home

16:07 to both Ben and I. Had some great

16:09 memories there. I just missed my buddy

16:11 Ben, but I got to meet him here. Uh,

16:13 winning the championship with VCU was

16:14 awesome. Met some great friends there,

16:16 and it's cool to be back.

16:18 >> It's so cool to be back with both of

16:19 you. Obviously, now Virginia has a

16:21 little bit of a special place in my

16:22 heart, but Zach, it's a special stadium

16:24 with two special guys right here. Back

16:26 to you,

16:28 >> Matty. It is a special place with a

16:30 couple of special people that have

16:32 played in this city before with the VCU

16:35 Rams. It is a monster game for them. It

16:38 was a monster game in Las Vegas last

16:41 night for one of the two teams playing,

16:42 the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Party

16:45 Animals from the gambling capital of the

16:48 world. It feels like in Las Vegas. And

16:50 to say that the Coconuts were going wet

16:53 and wild would be an understatement.

16:55 First inning, they absolutely torched

16:57 everything that went their way.

17:01 Just in one inning of work, they had

17:03 four runs. Gideon Antel just not giving

17:06 any any reprieve to this Party Animal

17:08 Group. And they weren't done. Kaden

17:10 Bowler, surfboard,

17:12 catch a wave, dude. Gets a hit off that.

17:15 Jordan Brewer. Nobody is getting away

17:17 free. Just in the first five innings

17:20 alone, the Coconuts scored 15 runs. Do

17:24 the math for yourself. That is averaging

17:26 three runs per inning in the first five

17:30 frames. Eric Osberg, he calls himself

17:32 the hardest out in the league. And when

17:35 you're doing stuff like that, you must

17:37 be right. That is an absolute tattoo in

17:41 Las Vegas. They put up five runs in the

17:44 top of the fourth. Absolutely everything

17:46 going against the animals and for the

17:49 Loco Beach Coconuts. And they still

17:51 worked up five or top six. They're going

17:53 to put two more up. It felt it felt like

17:57 that was light work for them. Even

17:59 something that gets hit right to a party

18:01 animal just not going their way. Then in

18:03 the top of the eighth, it was an 2hour 8

18:06 ining game. Drew Gillespie trying to get

18:08 out of it. But guess what? That right

18:10 there, that's the record breaker. 23

18:14 hits. That record has now been tied or

18:17 broken twice. Make it three times. I beg

18:20 your pardon here in 2026. The Coconuts,

18:22 the latest team to do it with 23 hits.

18:24 You take a look at the box score from

18:26 last night. Six points is a banana ball

18:29 blowout. 20 runs to five would be a

18:32 baseball blowout. I mean, it's just

18:34 ridiculous what the party animals were,

18:37 excuse me, the Coconuts were able to do

18:39 last night. And Eric Oshber two for

18:41 four, five runs batted in a couple of

18:44 ball for sprints. He's right. He's the

18:46 hardest out in the league at least last

18:48 night. He must have ate his pregame

18:50 meal. That's a ritual. Maybe

18:52 superstitious. And for more of some

18:54 superstitious, Maddie, what's got you

18:56 feeling superstitious down on the field?

18:58 >> Zack, you know what? I was maybe a

19:00 little stitious, but we got some guys

19:02 who are superstitious. You know, we got

19:03 the classics. Don't step on the chalk

19:05 before the game. I personally didn't

19:07 change my jersey uh until I lost. I

19:09 washed it in between like wins and

19:11 everything, but that would have been

19:12 kind of weird if I didn't. However,

19:14 there are some really, really strange

19:16 superstitions with the firefighters that

19:18 I got down to the bottom of at Banana

19:19 Ball backstage yesterday.

19:35 I can't eat before a game. My game is

19:38 superstition. Make sure I eat. It's

19:41 important.

19:41 >> Uh, I always like to put a cross with

19:43 eye block under my left eye.

19:45 >> I wear two right footed socks.

19:49 >> Red Bulls. I have one during BP, one at

19:53 first pitch, and then if I'm throwing, I

19:56 have another one in the bullpen.

19:58 Superstition for me, I think it's more

20:00 of a routine, but I have to have my

20:02 pre-workout like hours before and just

20:04 kind of sip on it until the game starts

20:06 and I finish it before I go out there.

20:08 >> I don't It's not much of a superstition,

20:10 but before I take the field for defense,

20:12 every time I shake each umpire's hand.

20:14 So, when I run the left field, before I

20:16 go and take defense, I'll shake center

20:18 field and then the lineups, their hands,

20:20 and get their name and stuff. And then I

20:21 go take my position. So my superstition

20:24 is always right sock, left sock, right

20:27 shoe, left shoe.

20:29 >> Random socks,

20:31 >> but I never wear them twice. I can't

20:33 wear the same pair twice. So this year,

20:35 60 games, 60 different pair of socks.

20:40 >> Yeah, some some of my game day

20:42 superstitions don't stand on the line.

20:43 That's the number one. I got I got to

20:45 give the fans a dap uh before the game.

20:48 If I don't do that, I feel like I'm

20:49 going to suck. Just try not to look like

20:50 Peanut. Like if

20:52 Ah, what else do I got? I try my best to

20:55 get hotel breakfast if we're on the

20:57 road.

20:58 >> Oh, got to put the left sock on first,

21:00 >> but left sock, right sock, left shoe,

21:02 left right shoe. Don't you can't you

21:04 can't do like left sock, left shoe,

21:06 right sock, right shoe. Psychopath.

21:10 >> And yeah,

21:11 >> if I got more, I'll come back to you.

21:16 >> Logan Lacy, what can you say about the

21:19 guy? What can you SAY ABOUT THIS KID?

21:21 JAVON Ray

21:23 has just ridden on someone's back to

21:26 block someone from getting THIS KID OUT.

21:28 AND HE TOUCHES HOME PLATE. The home run

21:31 hero in Richmond, Virginia. He got a

21:34 late start out of the box, too. Some bad

21:36 defense from the Clowns.

21:39 Look at that. Chopping wood getting some

21:42 Drew Yanessa's in there. Beautiful stuff

21:46 from our home run hero here in Richmond,

21:48 Virginia. Now Marshall Schills on the

21:50 field.

21:51 >> I think he's got a child ready to lead

21:54 these fans in a warm-up. Let's say we

21:56 all get warmed up here in the capital,

21:57 the Commonwealth.

22:00 >> On your feet.

22:05 >> Now, with everybody on your feet, please

22:09 help me welcome 5-year-old Kayla

22:19 Alrighty. So, here is what is going to

22:23 happen. Whatever dance moves you do,

22:26 we're going to have everybody in this

22:28 capacity crowd do as well. So, are you

22:34 ready?

22:36 >> Yes.

22:37 >> All right. Here we go.

22:48 We're clapping the hands everybody.

23:03 >> We're bobbing up and down, y'all.

23:11 You're doing good. Every island,

23:17 Virginia, please give it up for our fan

23:21 warm up 5-year-old

23:24 Ka,

23:38 >> ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls, hot

23:41 shots and folk shows from around the

23:44 world. Tonight, you and thousands of

23:47 your friends here live and millions more

23:50 watching at home have gathered to

23:52 witness something beyond your wildest

23:54 imagination.

23:56 From sparks to sirens, from the station

23:59 to the stadium, firefighters from across

24:02 the globe have come together to witness

24:05 this. This is not baseball. This is the

24:09 Crucible where the toughest, hottest,

24:12 AND MOST ENTERTAINING PLAYERS ARE

24:14 FORGED. This is a game of the fans, by

24:17 the fans, and for the fans. But this is

24:20 not your granddad's pastime. And no,

24:23 this is not any other night of the

24:24 firehouse. This game is baseball by

24:27 birth, fruit by name, and an absolute

24:31 worldwide phenomenon by the grace of

24:34 God. But make no mistake, when the heat

24:37 gets too intense, we don't cool off. WE

24:39 RUN TOWARDS THE FLAMES. THIS IS A TIME

24:43 FOR ALL 10,000 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE HERE

24:46 IN RICHMOND, VIRGINIA TO GET ON YOUR

24:49 FEET AND GIVE me your voices

24:56 >> BECAUSE THIS IS THE HOTTEST SHOW IN

24:59 SPORTS. Ladies and gentlemen, this is

25:02 BANANA

25:04 BALL.

25:12 Time to play the game.

25:18 >> And now the starting lineup for your

25:22 Firefighters.

25:24 Leading off at second base, number 55,

25:27 Tiner Tiny Pew.

25:33 BATTING SECOND, THE DESIGNATED HITTER,

25:36 number three, Dalton Cornet.

25:42 In the three hole, manning the hot

25:45 corner, number 11, Logan Showtime, Lacy.

25:55 Batting cleanup behind the plate number

25:58 four, Eric Jones Jr.

26:04 in the five hole. The hot shot at

26:07 shortstop number two, Kaden Peut Green.

26:17 Batting six, ranging left field number

26:20 zero, LAMAR

26:22 SPARKS.

26:26 In the seventh slot, ranging center

26:29 field, number 30, Arando Bera.

26:38 In the eighth hole, the extra hitter

26:40 number 24, Dakota Dmac McPatty

26:49 Knight at first base number seven, Mason

26:53 Maxwell

26:57 AND THE DECKEY RANGE in right field

27:00 number eight, South Smoke Treble

27:08 And tonight's Fireballer on the mound,

27:11 number 21, Jared Donaldson.

27:20 The firefighters are led by Battalion

27:22 Chief Al Perez, Captain Cory Pi, and

27:26 Lieutenant Drew Anesta.

27:36 Ladies and gentlemen, At this time, we

27:38 ask all those who are able to please

27:40 rise, uncover your heads, and turn

27:42 towards the flag with your right hand

27:44 over your heart for this evening's

27:46 performance of our national anthem.

27:49 Performing this evening, please welcome

27:51 Lucy Hansen with her rendition of the

27:54 Stars Spangled Banner.

27:57 Oh,

27:58 say can you see

28:02 by the dawn early light

28:07 what so proudly

28:09 we held

28:12 at the twilight

28:14 last

28:17 stripes and bright stars

28:21 through the barless

28:24 fight

28:26 or The ramparts

28:28 we watched

28:31 were so gallently

28:34 stream

28:36 and the rockets red glare. The bombs

28:41 bursting

28:42 in air gave proof through the night

28:50 that our flag was still there.

28:54 Oh say

28:56 that star spangled

29:00 ber

29:01 yet wave

29:06 or the land

29:08 of the free

29:13 and the home

29:16 of the

29:18 brave.

29:22 Thank you very much, Lucy Hansen.

29:32 >> This is a beautiful scene in Richmond,

29:37 Virginia.

29:38 Brings a tear to my eyes seeing my home

29:41 state fill this place up

29:44 this much. 10,000 strong on back-to-

29:47 back nights to see the firefighters

29:50 play one of the most historic brands in

29:53 Banana Ball. The returning Indianapolis

29:55 Clowns

29:57 back in the state

30:00 where we debuted last year on the

30:01 headlining tour. Three stops, one

30:04 Richmond, one in Salem, and one in

30:06 Norphick. Now tonight, we put 10,000

30:09 strong back-to-back nights here in the

30:11 capital of the Commonwealth. the

30:13 firefighters of the home team. Let's

30:15 take a peek at what their defense looks

30:16 like here at Carmax Park. Again, we

30:19 talked to you about how good Kaden

30:21 Peanut Green and Tiner Hughes have been

30:24 at second base and shortstop. They are

30:27 your trick play leaders. Want to point

30:28 out Mason Maxwell at first base. Eric

30:30 Jones Jr. behind the dish at the catcher

30:33 spot, usually catching Jared Donaldson.

30:35 We won't trend away from that one

30:37 tonight, but Mason has more than done

30:39 the job at first base with 14 trick

30:41 plays. And that's mighty impressive

30:43 given that this is his first time

30:45 playing f first base as a full-time

30:48 position. Your outfielders Lamar Sparks

30:50 getting the start in left field. Usually

30:52 he's one of the either the extra hitter

30:54 or designated hitter. Tonight he'll get

30:56 the start in the field. South Trimble is

30:58 not your designated fielder. He is

30:59 fulltime starting tonight in right field

31:01 in the home commonwealth. That is

31:04 awesome for him. And Armando Bera, one

31:06 of the most surehanded center fielders

31:08 in the Banana Ball Championship League.

31:10 Logan Lacy at third and Zachary Bridges

31:13 is your designated fielder. Eric Jones

31:15 is waving to the crowd. I thought he was

31:16 waving to me. You know who I will wave

31:18 to though is this guy right here, Jared

31:22 Donaldelson.

31:24 We know what we do on Donnie day. We

31:27 fire strikes in there. More importantly,

31:29 we fire strikeouts in there. And that's

31:32 exactly what Donnie does better than any

31:34 firefighter pitcher here coming into

31:36 this weekend. His 19K is good enough to

31:39 lead the team. last night. Bradford

31:40 pulling ahead with 20 strikeouts. We see

31:43 what he can do tonight. But 19

31:46 just a shade over 19% on a strikeout

31:48 rate. That is awfully good for a

31:50 starting pitcher. Donnie Day looking to

31:52 go 3 and 0 here in his first year with

31:55 the Firefighters after three world tours

31:57 with the Savannah Bananas. How about the

31:58 lineup he faces? The Indianapolis

32:01 Clowns. Joe Gray Jr. started out

32:04 yesterday with a 200 home run in the

32:07 first inning. He continues to do that

32:09 and boy it could be awfully big trouble

32:12 for the firefighters. Jackie Bradley Jr.

32:14 coming back home. Got a chance to hear

32:16 from him yesterday on the mic. He was

32:18 brilliant all season long. He looks to

32:21 have one of those moments here tonight

32:23 in Richmond. Taz Eaggan has a bell.

32:25 Let's thing Let's ring this thing up.

32:27 >> I'm going to need some help. Please help

32:29 me welcome 5-year-old Warner.

32:36 All right, Warner, thank you so much for

32:38 helping us. I'm going to turn you

32:40 towards the camera so everybody can see

32:41 your beautiful face. Now, on the count

32:43 of three, myself and 10,000 people here

32:46 in attendance in Richmond are going to

32:48 yell, "Ring the bell." And when we do,

32:50 you're going to do just

32:52 >> Here we go. One, two, three.

33:00 >> Showtime.

33:02 Warner doing an excellent job. And off

33:05 we go here in Richmond. One more time

33:09 between the Indianapolis Clowns and the

33:12 Firefighters before these two teams take

33:14 probably a much needed break between

33:16 each other. This is the seventh time

33:18 they've played each other and we're just

33:19 on 16 games here in the 2026 Banana Ball

33:22 World Tour. Donnie fires in looking for

33:25 that healthy splitter and we are

33:26 underway.

33:28 Jared Donaldson will fire in your fast

33:30 ball and splitter most of the time. If

33:33 he goes off speed, it's likely with a

33:35 slider. That's a beautiful pitch on the

33:37 inside. Joe Gray Jr. has to offer at it.

33:41 He's been excellent so far against the

33:43 firefighters highlighted by a darn near

33:46 cycle in Greenville, South Carolina,

33:48 game two. BUT HE SWINGS AND MISSES AND

33:51 RIGHT OUT OF THE shoot Jared TD

33:55 gets a strike out of Joe Gray Jr. 11ear

33:58 major league career. He's a twotime

34:01 college World Series champion and MLB

34:04 Allstar and World Series champion from

34:07 right here in Richmond, Virginia.

34:11 Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome

34:13 home the class center number 19

34:18 Bradley Jr.

34:24 >> I'm staring down at section 104 and I'm

34:26 seeing my father, a massive Boston Red

34:28 Sox fan, give a standing ovation to this

34:31 man, Jackie Bradley Jr. playing his

34:34 first games here in his home city since

34:37 2008 when he was part of the Travel Ball

34:38 Richmond Braves.

34:42 member of the Boston Red Sox. Obviously,

34:44 you know his ledger, World Series

34:45 champion, all-star, number one pick at

34:48 the Banana Ball player draft back in

34:49 November. Played some minor league ball

34:52 here in the Commonwealth of Virginia

34:54 down in Salem,

34:56 my hometown. Swings at that one, fouls

34:59 it off. It's a two- two count.

35:01 Obviously, we talked to him last night

35:02 on the mic. He was tremendous. Talked to

35:04 him a little bit earlier today. to the

35:05 emotion clearly there, but I think he's

35:08 been very calm about it. He's faced so

35:10 many big moments in the major leagues.

35:12 You know, he knows how to handle his own

35:14 emotions right now. He'd like to handle

35:16 a full count

35:20 into the sky. Mondo was in on the ball

35:23 for sprint defense. Can he get something

35:25 special? Tip drill right to Lamar

35:28 Sparks. Colin and Mondo.

35:32 He continues a wonderful weekend with

35:34 the first trick play of the evening for

35:36 the firefighters.

35:44 >> They have won the equalizer point battle

35:46 in each of their games against the

35:48 Clowns. Eric Jones Jr. This could be a

35:51 FAST ONE. IT WILL BE A FAST ONE. How

35:54 about that? Three up, three down for

35:57 Donnie as EJ and that beautiful mustache

36:01 hauling in in front of the flamethrowers

36:03 and the firefighters retire the side

36:06 quickly.

36:08 >> I'm going to wait for our official score

36:10 time here from our scorekeeper, but

36:12 Donnie might have just done absolute

36:15 numbers and he did. 2 minutes and 12

36:17 seconds. That a way to start out our

36:20 Donnie Day festivities here in the

36:22 Commonwealth. Let's grab a peek at the

36:25 Clowns defense. And boy, this is really

36:27 all about that guy at shortstop. Bobby

36:31 Leay banked his 24th trick play last

36:34 night. It is a team that needs to start

36:37 getting up on the trick plays a little

36:39 bit more. Last night, only two against

36:41 the Firefighters, and they're already

36:43 down one- nothing going into the bottom

36:45 half of the first inning. Now, again,

36:47 cannot stress this enough. Carell Prime

36:49 is the only guy coming into this year

36:51 with banana ball experience that's out

36:53 in the field. You see Kirkland Banks in

36:55 there for the usual starter. That's

36:58 Jaylen Vasquez. Everybody here except

37:00 for Prime is a banana ball rookie this

37:02 season. So, can they learn some lessons

37:05 from last night and find a way to put

37:06 some pressure on the firefighters?

37:08 Daniel Foster comes strolling on in. And

37:12 boy, this is his second straight start

37:14 against the firefighters. And I tell you

37:16 what, the first time he went against him

37:19 wasn't too shabby.

37:21 >> Got two and a third innings of work, 386

37:23 RA, four strikeouts in only a couple of

37:26 ball four sprints. Clowns have been

37:28 looking for that second or third

37:30 starter. Nick Wilson certainly in there,

37:32 but Daniel Foster, he does what he did

37:34 last weekend in South Carolina. He might

37:36 put himself in that conversation. You

37:38 know who absolutely will put themselves

37:39 in conversations to do great things is

37:41 this team right here. The firefighters

37:44 lineup is absolutely ridiculous. Look at

37:47 this. How many batters do you see there

37:50 batting over 300, all but two now?

37:53 Again, South Treble only three at bats

37:56 this year, but they've been consistent.

37:58 And this guy right off the rip is

38:00 consistent. Tiner Hughes walks in

38:01 tonight with an 11game hit streak. We'll

38:03 touch a little bit more on that a little

38:05 later on here. He's not afraid to swing

38:07 at the first pitch just like that. Want

38:10 to congratulate Daniel Foster, by the

38:12 way. this week, April 28th, posted on

38:15 Instagram. He's engaged to be married.

38:20 Congratulations to him and his fiance

38:22 Angelo

38:23 inside. Did that plunk him? No, he

38:25 didn't.

38:27 Tiny T Stairs had a couple inside.

38:31 Now high into the sky. Kirkland giving

38:34 it chase. Jackie Bradley Jr. and Joe

38:36 Gray. Do we have a tip DRILL

38:37 OPPORTUNITY? YOU BET WE DO. INTO THE CAP

38:40 FOR A DOUBLE TRICK PLAY. And in second,

38:43 number three,

38:45 >> and that'll do the job. They've already

38:46 equaled the number of trick plays they

38:48 had last night.

38:55 >> A nice job there from JBJ just to get

38:57 that one in the cap. I got to figure out

38:59 what the official name of that hat is,

39:01 by the way, cuz there's a couple of

39:02 clowns wearing it. JBJ Nicolesizer in

39:04 the outfield. Dalton Cornet.

39:07 I love this guy. One of my favorite

39:10 people on the planet.

39:12 last night got himself a single. He will

39:15 not get it here. Carell Prime just doing

39:17 numbers on trick plays. We'll just call

39:19 it one, but you can call that one in as

39:21 Primer

39:23 >> gets the third trick play of the first

39:25 inning

39:27 >> for the Indianapolis Clowns. They've

39:29 already beaten their number of trick

39:31 plays from last night.

39:37 Logan Lacy staring at one inside and

39:38 already Daniel Foster more than doing

39:40 the job.

39:46 >> Speeding through the Showtime digs on

39:49 end. He's been excellent in game twos

39:51 this year. His home run, his only one of

39:53 the year came in game two in Albuquerque

39:55 slices that one into right field. Joe

39:57 Gray chasing it back, calling everybody

39:59 off. Does he got something? tip drill

40:02 right to himself in all three outs for

40:05 the Clowns recorded by trick play. And

40:08 if you want to find a way to give

40:10 yourself three points potentially, just

40:14 give yourself trick play opportunities.

40:16 Joe Gray Jr. with a couple of them.

40:18 That's quite nice. And the firefighters

40:22 cannot put anything on the board. It's

40:24 000 as we go streaking here in Richmond.

40:28 By the way, 1 minute 55 seconds. We're

40:30 mowing through time here. 11ame hit

40:32 streaks for both Kaden Green and Tiner

40:35 Hughes. And you want to talk about what

40:36 they've done in their streaks. It's been

40:38 incredible. But both these guys don't

40:42 just hit, they get on base. Peanut, his

40:45 slugging percentage is 756, which is

40:47 unbelievable. But his on base percentage

40:49 571. Tiner Hughes 460 on a 382 average.

40:53 Like the dude just finds ways to get on

40:55 base. Both dudes just finding ways to

40:58 get on base. 11game hit streaks for both

41:00 Tiny and Peanuts. So, we had an MPI of 2

41:05 minutes and 12 seconds in the top of the

41:07 first inning. And that was followed up

41:09 by an MPI of a minute 55 seconds in the

41:12 bottom half of the frame. As you take a

41:14 look at the crowd, this is an absolutely

41:16 tremendous bunch here. Noah Bridges is

41:19 next to my family.

41:23 I hope my sister is still able to

41:25 breathe after that. That is a dreamy

41:27 man.

41:30 as is Jared Donaldson.

41:33 >> We see what he can do as we start our

41:35 CPR inning. That means we're playing a

41:38 bunch of music that goes to the beat of

41:41 what you would hear with CPR

41:44 as Donaldson and Logan Lacy give a

41:46 handshake. I wonder if that's one of the

41:47 superstitions that uh Mattie was talking

41:50 to him about a little bit earlier.

41:53 Up to bat is old Daniel Dale Francis.

41:57 Dan. Yeah, Daniel Foster.

42:00 He's a pitcher. It'd be impressive if he

42:01 could hit, but he is not up to bat.

42:03 That's Dale Francis Jr. last night. A

42:05 couple of hits in four played

42:06 appearances.

42:08 Got on base half the time he was up. He

42:10 and Carell Prime both had two hits a

42:12 piece. After that, just four batters for

42:14 the Clowns getting on via the hit and

42:16 they were all one hit a piece.

42:19 Donnie quickly down 2-1.

42:23 Dale right there swinging out of his

42:25 shoes and the count goes back to 2-2

42:29 already. 20th strike out of the year for

42:32 Donnie tonight. LOGAN LACY SHOWTIME

42:35 BETWEEN THE LEGS OVER TO FIRST IN TIME

42:37 FOR THE TRICK PLAY. COLIN NL

42:42 he had nothing hit to him last night. So

42:45 you know he was itching for that one.

42:47 And Logan Lacy

42:50 goes between the legs. If you ever

42:52 wonder why that man is called Showtime,

42:54 just watch his highlight tape.

42:58 That was sick.

43:02 >> Saw his uncle Bobby in the plaza last

43:04 night as Nico Hollesizer down at John

43:06 Croser. He did not go, so it's a 10

43:08 count. Uncle Bobb's traveled with us to

43:10 a couple different places. Obviously,

43:11 you heard him in Tallahassee in the

43:12 booth. He was also with us in

43:14 Albuquerque, New Mexico, and now here in

43:17 Richmond, Virginia to see his nephew

43:19 play.

43:20 It's a beautiful slider from Jared

43:22 Donaldson. Problem was just a little far

43:24 outside. It's two-1 count. Nicole get

43:26 his first two home runs in his banana

43:28 ball career down in Greenville, South

43:30 Carolina. That one awfully close. And

43:33 now ball four sprint potentially on the

43:35 table.

43:39 And it will be a ball for sprint. The

43:40 first one, Donnie, not fan. Won't

43:42 matter. Nico Holizer rounds around

43:44 first. And now, if you're new to banana

43:46 ball, all seven fielders behind the

43:48 pitcher must touch the banana ball

43:49 before the play can be stopped with the

43:51 tagout. Donnie thought that one was in

43:53 there. Jake Moore said, "No, it wasn't

43:54 until the first ball for sprint of the

43:56 game is issued to an ecoizer."

43:59 But coming into the weekend had the

44:01 weird honor of leading the Banana Ball

44:04 Championship League in both strikeouts

44:07 and ball four sprints. So, it's that

44:09 Alonzo morning gif of like shaking your

44:11 head and then kind of okay, it's pretty

44:13 good all things considered. Carell Prime

44:16 gets a good piece of lumber onto that

44:18 deep to center field. Armando racing for

44:20 it. Tip drill into the bare hand.

44:24 That is a 385

44:27 ft fly out for Prime.

44:35 But another trick play to call in

44:38 >> for Armando Bera, his second of the

44:41 early afternoon slash even. And now

44:44 Chris Burgess steps on in.

44:52 He

44:52 >> was 0 for one last night. Got on with a

44:54 pair of ball force sprints. So they'll

44:56 take that. Some base runners for the

44:58 Indianapolis Clouds as he looks at one

45:00 for a strike.

45:02 One of the things all these pitchers

45:03 have talked about is the fact that

45:05 batters here really seem to chase

45:06 something that's high heat. Saw Bradford

45:09 Webb do that a couple different times

45:10 last night. Wonder if Donnie will try

45:12 that here before maybe breaking out a

45:13 splitter. Burgess high into the sky.

45:16 Logan Lacy. Do the fans have a chance to

45:18 help us out?

45:21 I never saw it land. So that must meant

45:24 it was out into the streets of Virginia.

45:26 So we'll play on. I've been begging fans

45:29 at firefighter games to finally catch

45:31 one for the firing flames.

45:34 >> Boy, Donnie thought he had strikeout

45:37 number two.

45:39 And it's a 3-2 count. Nico Holizer could

45:42 really get a nice lead off here with two

45:44 outs if it's a ball for Sprint. And he

45:47 will go. Burgess right down the line.

45:49 Foul.

45:51 Quick call of the third base umpire Chad

45:53 Little. Hunter Ives out second base.

45:55 John Cross with first. Jake balls

45:57 and strikes behind the dish.

46:00 Chris Burgess has family from nearby

46:02 Farmville, Virginia.

46:10 A nice little return home here for CV.

46:13 We'll try the full count again.

46:18 And it is a ball for sprint. So now we

46:20 see if Nico can get all the way home.

46:22 Firefighter defense looks pristine. And

46:25 they'll stop Burgers at first and Nico

46:28 at third.

46:30 So now with two down and runners on the

46:32 corners, here comes one of the more

46:34 impressive rookies in Banana Ball and

46:37 that is Eli Peyton. Had himself a two

46:38 RBI single last night. He's been right

46:42 on the money this year for the Clowns.

46:46 14 hits for a 304 average. Hit strike

46:49 one there.

46:52 Donnie needs an out.

46:54 >> He's quickly got the pitcher friendly

46:56 count of 02. Can go with whatever he'd

46:58 likes here. Splitter probably. Flash

47:01 going. Oh, have they caught him?

47:04 Yes, they have. EJ warned Donnie TO GO

47:09 TO FLASH AND GUESS WHAT? HE LISTENED.

47:12 And how about that for the firefighters?

47:14 They strand two on. Eli Payton didn't

47:16 even get a shot. Tag laid on by Peanut.

47:21 And thank goodness for that. If you're a

47:23 fan of the firefighters and if you're

47:24 the clowns, got to be banging your head

47:26 against the wall going, "What do we got

47:27 to do?"

47:29 That's a diamond of a throw. And there's

47:31 the tag clearly on Flash. Great play

47:34 from EJ. Great heady play from EJ. And

47:37 then Tommy with a great throw over to

47:38 Peanut. And speaking of diamond, across

47:41 the street is a stadium that's near and

47:43 dear to our hearts here in Banana Ball.

47:45 The Diamond here in Richmond, Virginia.

47:47 Built in 1985, it has lasted all these

47:50 years. I'm trying to do the math in my

47:52 head. I think it's 50 years of history.

47:54 First headliner for the firefighters in

47:58 Banana Ball last year. It's where I

47:59 debuted. It's where Chief and Bo debuted

48:01 the firefighters winning game two for

48:03 the first ever headlining win. It is

48:05 still the home of the Virginia

48:07 Commonwealth baseball team. But the

48:09 Richmond Flying Squirrels, formerly the

48:11 Richmond Braves, played there for so

48:12 long. April 6, they open this bad boy up

48:15 and moved the DA affiliate of the San

48:17 Francisco Giants over here.

48:20 So, it's not a full goodbye yet to the

48:22 Diamond, but it is a salute to one of

48:25 the most famous baseball venues in the

48:27 Commonwealth of Virginia. And a salute

48:28 now to Vinnie Sanar Sierra.

48:32 This guy wears two different colored

48:35 cleats.

48:37 You hope maybe that superstition plays

48:38 off pays off for him tonight. 19.29 29

48:42 RA. Yeah, I think he would like to get

48:44 that just a little bit better coming in

48:48 here, but this is an early call to the

48:49 bullpen. Eric Fox really trying to see

48:52 what his arms have tonight.

48:54 Again, at some point, you expect to see

48:56 Nick Wilson, who did not go last night.

48:58 He's one of their more effective

49:00 pitchers. Last weekend, Vinnie 9 minutes

49:03 and 12 seconds on the bump in just one

49:05 inning of work in an 18 RA. Gave up two

49:09 runs. Both of them earned. Eric Jones

49:12 Jr. cannot be sat down right now. In the

49:15 month of April, he had more hits than he

49:17 did outs. He had 10 hits and just seven

49:20 recorded outs. And one of them was by

49:22 the fans. This dude is on a mission.

49:28 He stares at a two- count.

49:32 >> You look at that stonewalled

49:34 face.

49:37 >> Don't let it fool you. He's a stone cold

49:40 kill competitor. Boy, I can't talk. I'm

49:43 so happy to be here. Stone cold

49:45 competitor behind those eyes. It's a

49:47 three-0 count. And it's a ball for

49:48 sprint. So EJ

49:51 easy does it. Ball four sprint will

49:52 round first again. All seven fielders

49:55 behind the pitcher now have to touch the

49:56 banana ball before they could have

49:57 tagged him out. And EJ will come off for

50:01 Noah Bridges who's not starting tonight.

50:04 He is your designated runner for the

50:05 Firing Flames. Likely story, by the way,

50:08 considering that dude steals a lot of

50:10 bases. Nine to be exact, excuse me,

50:12 seven to be exact, coming into

50:15 tonight's contest. The hottest hitter in

50:18 the sport, Kaden Green, 11 straight

50:22 games as Noah takes off, trying for

50:24 throw a little hit and run. And quickly,

50:26 Peanut is down 02 in the count. Noah has

50:28 to go back to first. 49 average is the

50:30 best in the Banana Ball Championship

50:32 League. He gets one hit tonight. And

50:36 that young man has already equaled the

50:37 number of hits he had all last year.

50:41 And he'll try it again. He had 23 hits

50:44 last year. He sits in tonight on 22. And

50:47 by the way, that's just one off the

50:49 leading number of 24, which has three at

50:52 top of it. Ben Parker, Dane Toofflin,

50:54 and Jackie Bradley Jr. all have 24.

50:56 Peanut has 22. Tiner Hughes with 21. So

51:00 it's a lot of firefighter and coconut

51:02 vibes in the top of the hits column.

51:05 Try the one two again.

51:07 >> Good moving pitch for Fenny and he gets

51:10 Peanut looking at strike three.

51:18 >> The guy coming up last night sent a ball

51:21 to the diamond as you take a look at

51:22 this. I that's just beautiful. Touches

51:25 that outside part of the black. Peanut

51:27 just has to tip the cap. It's a

51:28 wellplaced pitch.

51:31 Lamar Sparks sent one across the street.

51:33 Chris Burgess won't make the throw down

51:34 as Noah Bridges steals second for his

51:37 eighth stolen bag of the year. And now a

51:39 runner is in scoring position with just

51:40 one away.

51:44 So for the third time, let me try to say

51:45 this, Lamar Sparks hit a home run over

51:50 to the diamond

51:52 yesterday.

51:54 HAS HE DONE IT AGAIN? LINER INTO LEFT

51:56 field and it's fair. NOAH BRIDGES CAN

52:00 COAST ON HOME. TAKES THE HELMET OFF AND

52:02 LAMAR SPARKS HAS A WALK-OFF TO HIS NAME

52:06 IN the second inning.

52:09 JUST THE SPARKS THE FIREFIGHTERS NEEDED.

52:12 Comes from number zero in the neon and

52:14 black.

52:18 That dude can swing the bat. Chief

52:23 >> jump rope.

52:27 Motherake

52:31 shake.

52:32 >> Noah, please be careful.

52:35 >> GOOD BOY. OH, DROPPED IT.

52:39 >> But that's because it was over.

52:42 >> Well, that was sweet and the

52:44 firefighters very quickly

52:47 take a one- nothing lead here in

52:49 Richmond, Virginia. As uh Well, folks,

52:52 something has happened. Number one, I've

52:54 lost my fire helmet here somewhere.

52:55 Don't know where that bad boy went. I

52:57 kind of need Oh, I found it.

52:59 It was hiding under my book bag because

53:01 the guy who just joined us in the booth

53:03 hid it from me trying to hide the thing

53:05 that gives me my superpowers here in

53:07 Banana Ball. The guy joining us is

53:10 Fisher Poly Doroff again by popular

53:13 demand. You guys wanted the man who has

53:15 traveled from the 1950s to bring this

53:18 beautiful pillbox cap back up here to

53:20 the booth. So, he obliges. Fisher.

53:23 >> Hello, Richmond. How's it going? Fisher

53:25 Poly Dorf here in the booth with Zach

53:26 St. I am delighted to be here for the

53:28 second TIME AND WE'RE GOING TO DELIVER

53:29 SOME performances and broadcasting and

53:32 uh you know I'm saying hi to the folks

53:33 here on YouTube too. I love you guys in

53:36 the chat. We're going to be responding

53:37 to some comments. I cannot wait. Let's

53:39 bring the energy.

53:40 >> Let's bring the energy. You've already

53:41 done that here. By the way, this guy, we

53:43 didn't get a ton into it yesterday when

53:45 this dude was just but a wee lad back in

53:47 the 1950s. He got an Indianapolis Clowns

53:50 jersey I believe for Christmas. And ever

53:54 since then, you felt like you were

53:55 destined to be a clown.

53:56 >> So, actually, yeah, it was a hat at 10

53:58 years old, 2015. No worries. No, I had a

54:01 Kansas City Monarch.

54:01 >> Mere technicalities.

54:03 >> Mere technicalities. Kansas City

54:04 Monarchs, Homestead Grays, and the

54:06 Indianapolis Clowns. A rich history to

54:08 banana ball, now revitalized, and we

54:11 haven't played ball since 1989, but here

54:13 delivering some performances all

54:15 throughout the nation, minor league

54:16 ballparks, major league ballparks, and

54:18 uh and putting on a show for the fans.

54:21 Eli Payeyton didn't really even get a

54:22 chance to swing the bat. And boy, I wish

54:24 he would have here. I bet he WISHES HE

54:26 WOULD HAVE, BUT Armando says, "Maybe you

54:28 wish you wouldn't have."

54:30 >> Mondo's been busy out in center field.

54:32 His third recorded out here early in the

54:34 ball game. Won't be a trick play. The

54:36 Clowns still leading that one. And the

54:37 Firefighters, they would like to put a

54:39 couple more trick plays on the board.

54:40 They've denied the equalizer point or

54:42 won it in every game they've played

54:43 against the Indianapolis Clowns here in

54:45 2026. Right back to Mondo. This could be

54:48 a trick play off the bat of Brian

54:50 Dancero. Oh, he went behind the back.

54:52 Didn't get it. But a throw to second. IS

54:54 IT IN TIME? NO, it's not.

54:58 >> I can see why Vizer went for the trick

54:59 play right there. Really early swinging

55:01 from Dano right off the bat. Two

55:03 pitches. Donnie working quick.

55:07 >> Mondo's got so much confidence out

55:09 there. Oh, I hit his glove.

55:13 >> Can't fault him for it. They do need

55:14 trick plays. They've been very good at

55:16 him

55:17 >> recently. Nine last night

55:21 and

55:21 >> that's a that's a tough trick play to

55:22 try to turn Fischer.

55:24 >> That is indeed. And steps Kirkland Banks

55:26 as he is known to Old Knuckles Kland

55:28 Banks an electric second baseman.

55:31 >> He is an electric second baseman making

55:32 the start in place of Jaylen Vasquez

55:34 tonight. We probably will see young JV

55:36 at some point. That is sent to the

55:39 heavens and not in play for the fans. We

55:42 have not had a fan called foul ball here

55:43 this weekend. last year in Richmond. Six

55:46 fan caught foul balls. Banks hot shot.

55:48 Lacy couldn't get to him. That should

55:51 easily score Brian Dancero. And it will.

55:53 A double for KB right down the line. And

55:56 the Clowns have their first run of the

55:58 evening.

55:59 >> And it looks like we're going to see a

56:00 stellar run celebration right here from

56:02 the Indianapolis Clowns as they are all

56:04 piling out towards home plate.

56:06 >> They look like they're having a lot of

56:07 fun out there, man. And that shows you

56:11 how important sometimes those misstick

56:12 plays can actually be. Nick Wilson.

56:18 >> And we are bringing it back in 2016. The

56:20 whip and nigh neigh, the 10year

56:22 anniversary.

56:23 >> How about it?

56:25 >> It's history. Fisher Poly Dorhoff knows

56:27 about so well.

56:29 >> Can tell you anything about the Cold War

56:31 or the Cuban Missile Crisis. The 80s

56:34 were a thing. Discos and things of that

56:36 nature. But the whip and nigh neigh,

56:38 that's what he's stuck.

56:39 >> We are getting some disco moves on there

56:40 from Brandon Bulmer. A talented cat

56:42 coming from Scad and we found him. Him

56:45 and Jarius Jones, they have been plusing

56:46 the show immensely already as he kills

56:48 that walk up.

56:50 >> Those two can do everything. Brandon and

56:55 Jarius bring the heat everywhere they

56:58 go. Hello, Joe Gray Jr. had a strikeout

57:02 in his first plate appearance. By the

57:04 way, that run goes unearned against

57:06 Jared Donaldson as the runner reached on

57:09 a miss trick play. Boy, they are just

57:10 hitting everything to Mondo and that one

57:12 will land in front of him.

57:15 That'll move Kirkland Banks from fire

57:17 station to fire station

57:19 and the runners are on the corners only

57:22 with one away and Jackie Bradley Jr. has

57:25 come on in. He was a victim of a fly out

57:27 to Armando Basera in his first plate

57:30 appearance that resulted in a trick

57:31 play. Donnie really could use a double

57:34 play or some kind of double out. Steel

57:37 down to second. Joe Gray Jr. gets there

57:40 with plenty of time. No throw from EJ

57:41 and so the double play is quickly

57:43 denied. Now he really needs

57:45 a strike out and that won't do the job

57:48 right there.

57:50 >> I want to highlight Jackie Bradley's

57:51 walk up walking up to Michael Jackson

57:53 after the Michael Jackson movie comes

57:54 out.

57:56 >> Flip over to Mason. It goes hard off of

57:58 his glove and that'll score another run.

58:01 JBJ aboard. It's a tough play. I think

58:04 that should be a single again. and wait

58:07 for our official score. But I have that

58:08 down as a single. I think that's rather

58:11 difficult to try to make that kind of

58:12 play.

58:14 >> A difficult play indeed. Clayland Banks

58:15 will take advantage of it and play a run

58:17 for the Indianapolis Clowns.

58:19 >> That's two aboard already and make it

58:22 three as Bobby Leay comes right on in

58:24 and brings a third run home.

58:28 The Clowns are teeing off. And again,

58:30 Fischer, you know this well, playing

58:33 sometimes the momentum of a missed trick

58:34 play can really fester for the batting

58:38 team.

58:39 >> Absolutely. The Clowns have been working

58:40 uh they've been working regularly this

58:42 year, trying to uh trying to up our

58:44 trick plays. Coming in as a new team,

58:46 although not new in terms of baseball

58:48 history, the Indianapolis Clowns started

58:50 out in 1929 is the Ethiopian Clowns and

58:53 now brought back banana ball.

58:56 >> It's no fault of Armando Bisera. chase

58:58 the trick plays and he's pulled that

58:59 behind the back catch off plenty of

59:01 times in his banana ball career. Plenty

59:03 of times with the firefighters. That one

59:05 in on the fist. Tough one. Not at all

59:09 for Lamar Sparks. Second out recorded.

59:12 Armando is as sure fire as you'll get in

59:14 center field. So rare mistake. They

59:17 simply just move on from that.

59:22 Now the firefighters really need to get

59:23 out of here with no more damage done if

59:25 they want a shot in the bottom half of

59:27 this one. as Nicolesizer maybe sorted at

59:29 it. No, he didn't.

59:31 Earned himself a ball force sprint in

59:34 his first plate appearance already. The

59:35 Clowns by the way through their second

59:37 trip of the order in the third inning.

59:38 That time that one will be called in for

59:40 a strike.

59:41 >> Oizer has been on an absolute tear.

59:43 Seeing the ball extremely well here

59:45 looking to do damage.

59:47 >> Up to us and foul.

59:52 >> I feel ashamed. I did not bring a

59:53 baseball glove up to the broadcast,

59:55 Zach. How?

59:55 >> And I don't know. I'm really not

59:57 expecting a foul ball, but we've got two

59:59 on our way so far. Seven years.

1:00:03 >> EJ really trying to frame that one in.

1:00:05 Donnie halfway to the dugout.

1:00:07 >> You bet you he wanted that one. Yeah, he

1:00:09 was walking off strutting his stuff.

1:00:10 >> He was strutting his stuff to say the

1:00:12 very least.

1:00:14 Deuce is wild.

1:00:16 That is a beautiful slider. Nicoleizer

1:00:20 frozen and the side is retired, but not

1:00:23 before. Three runs come across for the

1:00:27 Indianapolis Clowns. Donnie though gets

1:00:29 his second strike out of the game. And

1:00:30 we say hello to Bananas Foster and Key

1:00:34 Lamb.

1:00:35 >> Across the United States, there are over

1:00:38 400,000 children and teens in foster

1:00:40 care without a permanent home. To raise

1:00:43 awareness and support this community, we

1:00:45 created Bananas Foster, the official

1:00:47 nonprofit of Banana Ball. Our

1:00:50 organization is dedicated to celebrating

1:00:52 those in the foster care community while

1:00:54 educating and inspiring others to get

1:00:56 involved. Tonight, we are celebrating

1:00:59 the Pierce family. In Virginia alone,

1:01:02 there are over 5,000 children currently

1:01:05 experiencing foster care. So, 5 years

1:01:08 ago, Brenda and Danny were inspired to

1:01:10 make a difference for these kids. With

1:01:12 their family motto of one more, they

1:01:15 have welcomed a total of three long-term

1:01:18 kiddos into their home and adopted two

1:01:21 into their family. Fans, please join us

1:01:24 in celebrating this amazing family for

1:01:27 making a difference right here in your

1:01:29 community.

1:01:36 Find a way to break through.

1:01:53 >> The Pierce family so special here in

1:01:56 Richmond, Virginia. This is what Banana

1:01:59 Paul is all about.

1:02:02 In Virginia alone, there are over 5,000

1:02:05 children experiencing foster care. Five

1:02:08 years ago, Brenda and Danny inspired to

1:02:10 make a difference for kiddos

1:02:13 in care. Their motto had one more has

1:02:16 led them to welcome three long-term

1:02:18 children into their homes and adopt into

1:02:20 their family. You want to help out these

1:02:22 great folks? Just send 50155,

1:02:26 excuse me, send bunch to 50155. I can't

1:02:29 speak right now. Bananas Foster,

1:02:31 tremendous. got a chance to talk to them

1:02:34 earlier from Stanton, Virginia.

1:02:36 They are a tremendous bunch. And

1:02:38 speaking of a tremendous person, it's

1:02:41 the guy at third base right now on the

1:02:44 mic for the first time tonight. I think

1:02:46 for the first time since Anaheim, Eli

1:02:49 Payton.

1:02:50 >> What up, guys? How we doing?

1:02:51 >> How are you feeling down there?

1:02:52 >> I'm feeling great. I I see we got old

1:02:55 old Sporto up in the booth.

1:02:56 >> You bet we do. Eli Pton, say hey, old

1:02:59 buddy. Old pal.

1:03:00 >> Hey, buddy. Did you make it up the

1:03:01 stairs? You were looking a little uh

1:03:02 sore this afternoon.

1:03:04 >> I did. I was mobbed by kids wanting my

1:03:06 autograph as you know. You know, we got

1:03:07 to sign for the fans and we got to plus

1:03:09 the experience, old boy.

1:03:10 >> Hey, you're you're you're plusing the

1:03:11 experience day by day, old sport. I love

1:03:13 it.

1:03:14 >> You down there on the field. You got to

1:03:15 do some trick plays. Hit a trick play

1:03:16 for us, will you? Oh, but through the

1:03:18 legs, the look up to the broadcast. I

1:03:20 saw that. You don't You don't need to be

1:03:22 peeping on something. You need to keep

1:03:23 your eyes focused on the plate.

1:03:25 >> Peeping at us, huh,

1:03:27 >> Zack? How is it? How is it sharing a

1:03:29 booth with good old Fisher? Honey,

1:03:31 >> I'm not sure I can describe the

1:03:32 experience with words. It's just

1:03:34 tremendous. It's probably like a lot of

1:03:36 your conversations with them.

1:03:37 >> He's got to Yes.

1:03:38 >> He's got to explain it via

1:03:39 hieroglyphics. That's right.

1:03:41 >> Correct.

1:03:41 >> Ancients.

1:03:44 >> Armando Basera comes on in a home run

1:03:47 last night. Like to make up for the

1:03:49 mistrick play. You know that weighs on

1:03:51 him even though

1:03:53 >> you go for the trick plays there. Eli,

1:03:55 you guys are on your trick play machines

1:03:57 a little bit more. You had the first

1:03:58 trick play last night and that was one

1:03:59 of two. So Arando since went to the

1:04:01 seat. Has there been a No, please don't.

1:04:04 Has there been more of a focus coming

1:04:06 into today on the trick plays after a

1:04:07 game like last night we only got two?

1:04:09 >> You know, I think the pace of play last

1:04:10 night got to us a little bit. The

1:04:12 firefighters hit a lot of walk-offs and

1:04:14 didn't really give us the most

1:04:15 opportunities. Credit to them with uh

1:04:17 great swings. Um we got out here early

1:04:19 today and took a bunch of ground balls

1:04:21 and it's quickly showing. Um Joe Gray

1:04:24 with a couple good trick plays and then

1:04:26 obviously Prime at first base. Guy's a

1:04:28 guy's a vet. He knows how to play a

1:04:29 banana ball. So I think I think we're

1:04:32 just getting better and better. Ball

1:04:33 four.

1:04:34 >> That is ball four, which means ball for

1:04:36 spring. Nice bare-handed stab from Eli,

1:04:38 but Armando wants to

1:04:40 >> got him.

1:04:41 >> And no, he's safe.

1:04:43 >> Eli Payton thought he had him, but

1:04:45 Armando, who takes a lot of risks with

1:04:48 those ball four sprints, but they're

1:04:49 worthy risks, gets himself a twobase

1:04:51 ball four sprint. And that is how you

1:04:53 get it done at the plate. And now for

1:04:55 our firefighter of the night and a very

1:04:58 special one with Dick.

1:05:00 >> Firefighters is Dakota McFaten.

1:05:03 Escorting him to the plate are the two

1:05:06 sons of our firefighter of the night,

1:05:08 Roger Raymond Meyers Jr.

1:05:12 A native of Carterville, Virginia, the

1:05:14 Pike Doctor was a devoted father, loyal

1:05:17 friend, proud Navy veteran, skilled EMT,

1:05:21 and a fearless master firefighter at the

1:05:24 Richmond Fire Department, where he

1:05:26 served for more than 25 years.

1:05:33 fans, please join us in celebrating a

1:05:35 life of service for our firefighter of

1:05:38 the night, Roger Meyers.

1:05:51 >> Roger Myers Jr. passed away

1:05:56 on December 23rd, 2025.

1:06:00 Tonight, his kids Dylan and Chase

1:06:04 and his wife Misty celebrating with the

1:06:06 firefighters

1:06:08 and celebrating the life of Roger. We

1:06:11 salute our hats

1:06:13 to Roger Myers of Richmond Fire. It's

1:06:17 what this sport and what this team are

1:06:19 truly all about.

1:06:20 >> I'm back. I couldn't hear you guys, but

1:06:21 can you hear me now?

1:06:22 >> You are back, Eli. We're having

1:06:23 ourselves a heartfelt moment here for a

1:06:25 moment.

1:06:26 >> Well said, Zach. Beautiful moment and a

1:06:28 unique opportunity for this brand to

1:06:30 honor the firefighters and and their

1:06:32 communities as well. They do a great job

1:06:34 promoting that. A great job cultivating

1:06:35 that culture.

1:06:37 >> Oh, Kobe.

1:06:38 >> Kobe Robinson, by the way, is the

1:06:39 pitcher on the mountain. He's facing

1:06:41 DMAC. And I'm not sure there could be

1:06:43 any more different age spectrums here.

1:06:45 DMAC, the first banana ball player

1:06:47 signed. Kobe Robinson

1:06:49 >> pretty much fresh out of college.

1:06:51 Another 3-2 on the table. DMAC chopper.

1:06:55 >> Let it go. Let it go. Let it go.

1:06:57 >> Oh, Eli.

1:06:59 >> Blow it. Foul. Blow it. Foul. Don't let

1:07:00 it touch THE BASE. DON'T LET IT TOUCH

1:07:02 THE BASE.

1:07:02 >> WOW.

1:07:04 >> SO, that'll go down as one of the

1:07:07 weirdest singles I've ever seen hit in

1:07:09 Banana Ball.

1:07:11 >> And I thought there were no bunts in

1:07:12 Banana Ball.

1:07:14 >> I think we should throw him out of the

1:07:15 game.

1:07:15 >> Yeah, let's toss him. I think

1:07:17 >> you could have fielded it though.

1:07:19 >> You could have thrown him out yourself.

1:07:20 >> Nuh-uh. He was being patient. He was

1:07:22 waiting for his cards.

1:07:23 >> That is clearly the right call Eli

1:07:24 Payton just made.

1:07:26 Eli, have you talked to your uncle

1:07:28 recently?

1:07:28 >> I have.

1:07:29 >> Oh, really? I was expecting no. He's

1:07:31 been kind of busy recently, hasn't he?

1:07:33 >> He's been pretty busy, but uh I actually

1:07:35 I went to my other uncle's house last

1:07:37 week after Greenville. And uh Ah, yeah.

1:07:42 >> RBI single for Mason Maxwell right off

1:07:44 the gut. Had one last night, has one

1:07:46 tonight. And the firefighters get one of

1:07:47 three they need back.

1:07:49 >> Ground ball.

1:07:50 >> It is a ground ball. But yeah, in case

1:07:52 you're out there in TV lane and don't

1:07:54 know, Eli's uncle, George, is the

1:07:56 general manager of the Denver Broncos.

1:07:58 Now, I don't believe the last time you

1:08:00 and I were on the mic together, they

1:08:02 just traded for Jaylen Wid. They gave up

1:08:03 a first round pick. I don't believe they

1:08:05 had a pick till either the second or the

1:08:06 third round.

1:08:07 >> Yeah, third round.

1:08:08 >> Third round. Thank you.

1:08:09 >> Um, good little story. So,

1:08:11 >> Oh, good.

1:08:11 >> My uncle got a B+ on his draft grade.

1:08:15 >> Really?

1:08:16 >> Which was which is good. Just had a

1:08:18 third rounder, not a first or second.

1:08:19 So, you know, oh, could have been

1:08:21 another one right there. Um, but my

1:08:25 cousin is actually director of player

1:08:26 development for the Jets and they had

1:08:29 three first round picks. So, he got he

1:08:32 got an A+ and so there was some banter

1:08:35 in the the family group chat.

1:08:37 >> But who gave him the D?

1:08:39 >> Uh, some reporter. I don't know.

1:08:42 >> So, you don't even know who gave him the

1:08:44 D? Yeah, but it got sent in our family

1:08:46 group chat and he was he was a little

1:08:47 hot about it cuz that's what uh that's

1:08:49 what he's best at. So, it was pretty

1:08:51 funny.

1:08:52 >> Somebody somebody going after your uncle

1:08:55 after a a heck of a draft apparently.

1:08:58 The last time I was actually on the air,

1:09:00 I I begged him to to draft Jamari Taylor

1:09:02 out of Virginia because I'm just a fan.

1:09:05 >> Not a fan of the Broncos, though. I I do

1:09:07 like your uncle. I was just a fan of

1:09:08 Jamari Taylor and the Cavaliers of

1:09:10 Virginia.

1:09:10 >> Where did Jamari Taylor end up going?

1:09:12 >> UVA. Uh Jacksonville. Okay,

1:09:15 >> county baby.

1:09:16 >> Quick ball for sprint. Now, if Mason

1:09:18 Maxwell gets on his horse, he could come

1:09:19 all the way home. But this looks like

1:09:21 pristine ball four sprint defense and

1:09:23 just one will score. But it is a two

1:09:25 base ball four sprint for Tiner Hughes.

1:09:28 >> Zack, I don't know if I can come on the

1:09:30 mic with you guys anymore.

1:09:31 >> Yeah, something about you and me, man.

1:09:32 Like you guys just have some fun.

1:09:34 >> Yeah,

1:09:34 >> to say the very least. Fisher, you got

1:09:36 anything for Eli?

1:09:38 >> Eli Payton down there. I'm looking at

1:09:40 you right now with my uh with my

1:09:42 spectacles. And I'm impressed by Eli. I

1:09:44 gota I got to brag on him for a second

1:09:46 because he's a standup guy and uh he's

1:09:48 been a he's been an anchor in the

1:09:50 clubhouse as Kobe Robinson misses

1:09:51 outside. Eli, I want to I want you to

1:09:53 talk about Carell Prime. I I need the

1:09:55 broadcast to uh for him to be shown some

1:09:57 love. Dude, Prime is Prime is I would

1:10:01 say our kind of silent leader. You we he

1:10:04 leads by example. He might not be the

1:10:06 loudest guy in the clubhouse or on the

1:10:07 field, but that guy you can ask him

1:10:10 anything. Last night he comes up to me,

1:10:12 he goes, "Hey, you're a little late."

1:10:13 And next at bat I got a hit and I went

1:10:15 up to him and said, "Thank you." Like

1:10:16 that's a guy he is. He'll never He's

1:10:18 very humble. Um just a great guy. Okay.

1:10:22 >> Into the stands.

1:10:24 >> Can Richmond help the clowns? Absolutely

1:10:27 not. By the way, Prime silent.

1:10:31 >> The hat goes flying off there from Eli

1:10:33 Payeyton.

1:10:33 >> You think Prime's You think Prime's

1:10:35 loud?

1:10:36 >> I'm saying he's loud. I've known the

1:10:39 guy. I started covering him in uh Fargo,

1:10:41 North Dakota back in 2019. So, I've been

1:10:43 around Prime a little bit.

1:10:44 >> Okay.

1:10:44 >> He's a fun dude. Bat Special over to

1:10:47 Prime and he looks Mason Maxwell back

1:10:49 gets the trick play.

1:10:51 >> Kobe Robinson goes with the fencing

1:10:53 approach right there. A little stab, a

1:10:56 little uh a little wiggle of the bat.

1:10:58 That'll be some firewood heading off to

1:11:00 the firefighters dugout.

1:11:01 >> Possibly as souvenir for a lucky fan.

1:11:04 >> It's a big out for the Clowns cuz now

1:11:06 they're two away with Logan Lacy up

1:11:08 there. A ball force sprint would bring

1:11:11 the inning to a close the way that Eli

1:11:13 Payton would not like it to go.

1:11:15 >> Yeah.

1:11:15 >> A strike out or another out

1:11:17 >> and you're fine.

1:11:20 >> Eli, what have you learned from Logan

1:11:22 Lacy at the hot corner and banana ball.

1:11:24 He's a a pioneer of a lot of tricks,

1:11:26 >> dude. His his between the legs tricks

1:11:28 are so smooth.

1:11:30 >> Lacy into foul territory. Does somebody

1:11:33 have a beat on it?

1:11:34 >> Joe Gray Jr. does not. Good slide,

1:11:36 though. That was a heck of a heck of a

1:11:38 chance.

1:11:39 >> I think uh I think Zach was out here

1:11:41 today watching us take ground balls.

1:11:43 >> I was um

1:11:44 >> You guys almost killed me a couple

1:11:45 different times on those pick off the

1:11:46 first.

1:11:46 >> I think I saved you twice. You're

1:11:48 welcome for that.

1:11:49 >> You and Mason tried your darnest to make

1:11:51 me fearful, but then brought it back at

1:11:53 the end. I appreciated that.

1:11:55 >> The live for you,

1:11:57 >> Eli. The live YouTube chat is mentioning

1:11:58 how you're always grinning. You're

1:12:00 always got those pearly whites out. Uh

1:12:02 tell us a little bit about about your

1:12:03 happy golucky attitude of banana ball

1:12:05 and how it's helped you uh kind of let

1:12:07 loose.

1:12:07 >> You know, I've always been the guy that

1:12:09 loves playing high energy ever since I

1:12:11 could remember. I remember I was a kid

1:12:12 leading the chance at little league like

1:12:15 battle battle. Hit it, make a play.

1:12:17 >> Tough play. Kirkland Banks.

1:12:19 >> Nice.

1:12:20 >> LED IT OVER AND HE GETS THE OUT.

1:12:23 >> Just a high energy guy that loves to

1:12:24 play banana ball fish. I love you guys.

1:12:26 Thank you for having me on. I got to go

1:12:28 do something really cool right now.

1:12:30 >> Much applies. Let's do something cool,

1:12:31 Eli.

1:12:32 >> He does have something cool to do. We

1:12:34 thank Eli Payton very much as Kirkland

1:12:36 Banks just barely gets that one over to

1:12:38 Prime.

1:12:39 >> Let's go down to the field for some fun.

1:12:41 >> Here's Brandon and Jarius.

1:12:44 >> All right, ladies and gentlemen, here at

1:12:46 Banana Ball, we love love. And tonight,

1:12:48 we want to be able to celebrate that

1:12:49 love. And we understand that it's been a

1:12:51 while since these fellas here have

1:12:52 serenated their wives. So, we're going

1:12:54 to give them a chance TO DO SO TONIGHT.

1:12:56 AND IT'S GOING TO BE UP TO YOU, THE

1:12:58 FANS, to decide who did it better. But

1:13:00 don't worry fellas, it's not going to be

1:13:02 up to you. You're going to be miming

1:13:03 everything that Jarius and I sing. All

1:13:05 right, are you fellas ready? We call

1:13:08 this one, Will You Be M. DJ, hit it.

1:13:16 >> I know you want to leave me, but I

1:13:19 refuse to let you go. If I have to beg

1:13:24 and plead for your sympathy, I don't

1:13:27 mind cuz you mean that much to me. Ain't

1:13:31 too proud to be and you know it. Please

1:13:35 don't leave me. Girl, don't you go.

1:13:38 Ain't too proud to be

1:13:42 baby. Please don't leave me. Girl, don't

1:13:45 you go. All right. Okay. YOU MIGHT HAVE

1:13:49 WON OVER. OH, LOOK AT THAT, ladies and

1:13:51 gentlemen. Isn't that sweet? All right.

1:13:53 ALL RIGHT. ALL RIGHT. THAT WAS CUTE.

1:13:54 THAT WAS CUTE. WE GOT THE HANDS SO

1:13:57 COUPLE HERE. HUSBAND, ARE YOU READY?

1:13:59 >> BOYFRIEND. GIRLFRIEND. BOYFRIEND.

1:14:00 GIRLFRIEND. BOYFRIEND. GIRLFRIEND. All

1:14:02 right. All right. All right. NOW, DJ,

1:14:04 HIT ME.

1:14:07 WHOA.

1:14:09 YEAH. If you're

1:14:11 Let's do it.

1:14:15 My

1:14:18 waiting

1:14:20 coming

1:14:23 if you're

1:14:25 Let's do it. Running my

1:14:32 waiting

1:14:34 coming.

1:14:38 >> All right, ladies and gentlemen, it's

1:14:40 now TIME FOR YOU, THE FANS, TO DECIDE.

1:14:43 Was it couple number one

1:14:48 or was it couple number two?

1:14:52 Ladies and gentlemen, our winners,

1:14:53 that's Will You Be Mine.

1:14:57 Well, that was interesting. A Virginia

1:14:59 man is shirtless on the field dancing to

1:15:03 pony.

1:15:05 I just I think that's as banana ball as

1:15:07 it gets as we welcome you back here.

1:15:09 Fisher Polyoroff, by the way, was used

1:15:10 to seeing that back in the 1950s.

1:15:13 Absolutely. Some not so breaking news in

1:15:15 Banana Ball, but uh definitely a

1:15:17 spectacle you don't see every day.

1:15:18 Shortless man in Richmond, Virginia.

1:15:20 >> Yeah. Although in Banana Ball, it is

1:15:22 basically like breathing.

1:15:23 >> It truly is.

1:15:25 >> Prime, a man who Eli Payton called

1:15:28 silent. I said probably wasn't that

1:15:30 silent.

1:15:31 >> I would say he's more stoic. He's got

1:15:33 wisdom. He's got a lot of knowledge from

1:15:35 his years playing.

1:15:36 >> I like I like that one. He's got a stoic

1:15:38 look on that face right now with a 2-1

1:15:40 count against his former teammate Jared

1:15:42 Donaldson. And he looks at one. Jake

1:15:44 Moore consistently going that outside

1:15:46 corner for a strike. Two count. Donnie

1:15:51 giving up three in the top of the first.

1:15:55 That looked

1:15:58 lovely. There have been three or four of

1:16:00 those where Donnie thought he had the

1:16:02 strike out, walked off the mound only to

1:16:04 be stunned.

1:16:06 >> Prime

1:16:07 into left field. Lamar, you got

1:16:09 something up your sleeve? You sure do.

1:16:11 Call in the tip drill.

1:16:14 >> Lamar Sparks

1:16:17 >> already has a walk-off to his name. Go

1:16:19 ahead and add a trick play to the ledger

1:16:21 as well. The rookie looks so good out

1:16:24 there.

1:16:28 It's been impressive to see Lamar Sparks

1:16:30 adjust to banana ball and he really uses

1:16:33 uh his talents and and all the different

1:16:34 aspects of his game to amplify his

1:16:36 performance out on the field.

1:16:38 >> His second trick play of his early

1:16:39 banana ball career is Chris Burgess

1:16:41 stars at strike one. Donnie is really

1:16:43 trying to throw that slider in on the

1:16:45 inside of a righty and not getting the

1:16:47 call. See how he adjusts into the

1:16:49 stands. Somebody please do it. Oh my

1:16:53 goodness.

1:16:55 He was reaching in for the popcorn. He

1:16:56 had a little too much butter on his

1:16:58 fingers and now he LOOKS DISAPPOINTED.

1:16:59 >> BLUE SHIRT GUY, YOU HAD IT. THAT WOULD

1:17:01 HAVE BEEN THE FIRST induced fan caught

1:17:04 foul ball for the fire in flames all

1:17:06 year.

1:17:07 Instead, Chris Burgess will swing a

1:17:09 sword and foul one just barely back to

1:17:12 himself.

1:17:16 At some point it'll happen. At some

1:17:18 point, a

1:17:19 >> sigh of disappointment from Zack Stton

1:17:21 right there.

1:17:22 >> Quite, but

1:17:24 Let's try this again. In on the hands.

1:17:27 Peanut in between the legs. Over to

1:17:29 Mason Maxwell. Call it in for a trick

1:17:31 play. And we're all tied up at 55 in

1:17:34 that category. So Peanut on the board

1:17:36 with his first trick play out of this

1:17:38 beautiful evening. And now for something

1:17:41 real fun.

1:17:47 >> Yeah, man.

1:17:50 In the club with our bodies rocking from

1:17:53 side to side

1:17:56 to side. Thank God the week is done. I

1:17:59 feel like a zombie going back to life.

1:18:03 Back back to life. Hands up. Suddenly we

1:18:08 all got our hands up. No control of my

1:18:12 body. Ain't I seen you before? I think I

1:18:16 remember your eyes. Eyes eyes. Cuz baby

1:18:21 tonight

1:18:24 falling in love again.

1:18:28 Baby tonight

1:18:32 falling in love again.

1:18:38 It's the last last night of your love

1:18:42 for DJ has us

1:18:46 falling in love again. That's what Eli

1:18:49 Payton was talking about just a little

1:18:51 bit earlier. Something special,

1:18:52 something fun. And we also have

1:18:54 something fun as Bo the Beaver is on top

1:18:56 of a roof. Marshall Schill's here. He

1:18:59 might have just found one to Bo Lacy

1:19:02 giving Chase. Do the fans have it? No.

1:19:04 They've had ample opportunity to get

1:19:06 that first firefighter induced fan

1:19:08 caught foul ball. Won't have it right

1:19:10 there. So, Marshall Shield comes on in.

1:19:13 So the DJ's got you falling in love with

1:19:15 the walk up and Eli Pton's got you

1:19:16 falling in love with the broadcast as he

1:19:18 was miked up last inning.

1:19:19 >> Correct.

1:19:20 >> That will make Tiner Hughes fall in love

1:19:22 with the trick play potentially.

1:19:25 Tip drill. Mason, DO YOU GOT SOMETHING?

1:19:27 YEAH, YOU DO.

1:19:29 Colum both in a double trick play

1:19:33 >> from Tiny

1:19:36 and Mason Maxwell. All three outs again

1:19:39 for the firefighters. recorded via the

1:19:41 trick play and I believe they've just

1:19:43 taken a 65 lead in the trick play

1:19:45 column. That's a beauty. Tiny Mason. Oh

1:19:48 yeah, got them both. Fisher.

1:19:52 >> Hey baby time.

1:19:53 >> Hey baby.

1:19:56 >> Love doing this.

1:19:58 >> A fan. Oh, hey baby. I don't know if

1:20:00 we're supposed to turn around with the

1:20:01 broadcast camera or just stay on the

1:20:03 center field. We'll figure it out.

1:20:07 Hey

1:20:09 baby,

1:20:12 I want to know

1:20:15 if you be my girl.

1:20:32 Fisher, you got a special gal you want

1:20:33 to say hey baby too.

1:20:35 >> I would like to say hey baby to Mo the

1:20:36 Beaver out there who is currently doing

1:20:39 the hey baby on top of THE LEFT FIELD

1:20:41 TERRACE. LOOK AT IT.

1:20:41 >> They want us to

1:20:43 >> they want us to shout out all the girls.

1:20:45 My wife Logan's in the crowd. This goes

1:20:47 out to you. Hey,

1:20:51 hey, baby.

1:20:55 >> I want to know

1:20:59 >> broadcast. Will you be my girl?

1:21:01 >> Whoever's watching at all.

1:21:13 >> I tell you what, Fisher, all that. Hey,

1:21:15 baby has paid off. I wouldn't have even

1:21:17 winded that. You look like you were very

1:21:19 well rehearsed in Hey, Zach.

1:21:22 >> Not even rehearsed. Just uh

1:21:24 >> really out of breath.

1:21:27 >> Now, your season, you've been you've

1:21:28 been doing this for quite a while. Hey,

1:21:29 baving it up. And I can see all 10,000

1:21:31 here in Richmond, Virginia. We're

1:21:33 cheering you on.

1:21:34 >> Clark points to the camera, waves at it.

1:21:37 >> You know this guy.

1:21:38 >> You betcha I do. I knew this guy before

1:21:40 I came into Banana Ball. And I'll tell

1:21:42 you,

1:21:42 >> Really?

1:21:42 >> Uh-huh. Clark Gilmore and I, we had a

1:21:44 social media challenge going on. And I'm

1:21:47 so happy that he is a part of Banana

1:21:49 Ball. Jesse Cole called Eric Fox and he

1:21:51 was like, "We got to have this guy on

1:21:52 our team." And and there is a reason why

1:21:54 because he now holds the most viral

1:21:56 video in Banana Ball history, the BTB as

1:21:59 he has coined it, the behind the back.

1:22:01 He just keeps on showing us more tricks

1:22:03 up his sleeve and uh and he's a great

1:22:04 guy. He's very fans first as he would

1:22:06 tell you. He is slowly making his way to

1:22:09 the first team all

1:22:10 >> Oh, something special.

1:22:14 >> Oh, a flash mob. Let's sit back and

1:22:16 watch together.

1:22:27 Just right now. Right now. Right now.

1:22:31 >> Yeah. I could use a dream or a genie or

1:22:34 a wish to go back to a place much

1:22:36 simpler than this. Cuz after all the

1:22:38 party and it's smashing and crashing and

1:22:40 all the tits and the glam and the

1:22:42 fashion and all the pandemonium and all

1:22:44 the madness. There comes a time where

1:22:46 you faint to the blackness. And when you

1:22:48 staring at that phone in your lap and

1:22:50 you hoping them people never call you

1:22:52 back. But that's just how the story

1:22:54 unfolds. You get another hand soon after

1:22:57 you fall. And when your plans unravel in

1:23:00 the sand, what would you wish for if you

1:23:02 had one chance? So airplane, sorry I'm

1:23:05 late. I'm on my way. So don't close that

1:23:08 gate. If I don't make fast, then I

1:23:10 switch my flight and I'll be right back

1:23:11 at it by the end of the night.

1:23:18 >> Eric Jones Jr. has just completed the

1:23:21 first flash mob of the firefighters 2026

1:23:24 World Tour. And he did it with flare and

1:23:27 style and a couple of oversized hoodies.

1:23:30 And he looks at ball one.

1:23:33 Dude earned a ball force sprint in his

1:23:35 first plate appearance. He'll take

1:23:36 getting on base again like that. He'd

1:23:38 also take getting on base swinging.

1:23:42 >> Facing one of the most trickiest players

1:23:44 in banana ball. He's got to be real

1:23:45 patient now.

1:23:47 10 of 16 in the month of April was EJ. I

1:23:50 can't do the math in my head real

1:23:51 quickly, but I believe that's a batting

1:23:53 average better than 700.

1:23:56 >> Quite good broken bat special out to

1:23:59 Bobby Leay. Can it land? Oh, what a

1:24:02 play. Nicolesizer

1:24:05 flying in.

1:24:08 >> Well, the dreads go flying and so does

1:24:10 Nico Holesizer out there patting the

1:24:12 chest. Boy, you deserved it. Heck of a

1:24:15 play, Holizer. Goodness gracious.

1:24:18 Somebody break out the cape and call

1:24:21 Superman.

1:24:25 >> Nico playing crypt tonight to EJ's bat

1:24:28 there.

1:24:30 That's a sad death for a Louisville

1:24:32 Slugger or Wilson bat. I'm not sure

1:24:34 which one he uses.

1:24:37 I cannot believe what I just saw. That

1:24:39 was incredible.

1:24:40 Peanut

1:24:42 >> slams that one back into the net and

1:24:45 quickly it's an 02 count. Struck out his

1:24:47 first plate appearance. Excuse me. It's

1:24:48 a 1-1 count. What am I looking at? I'm

1:24:51 still plused out of my mind seeing what

1:24:52 I just saw from Nico.

1:24:54 >> We're just anxious to see a trick pitch

1:24:55 from Gilmore as a slider in there.

1:24:57 >> That was tremendous. This is not the guy

1:24:59 I would get tricky with.

1:25:02 >> Whoa. He got him with the trick pitch

1:25:04 strike out.

1:25:09 Say it ain't so. Clark Gilmore, an

1:25:12 absolutely

1:25:14 mesmerizing trick pitched right there.

1:25:16 We're going to see the replay.

1:25:18 And he goes down swinging.

1:25:20 >> Gilmore gets him.

1:25:22 >> I mean, that was phenomenal.

1:25:25 >> That goes down as a trick play, by the

1:25:27 way. So, now it's seven to six. Now

1:25:30 coming to pitch, a Little League World

1:25:33 Series legend as his overall pick in the

1:25:36 WPBL, number 29, Monae Davis.

1:25:42 >> Well, how about this?

1:25:44 There is some Commonwealth connection

1:25:47 from Monae Davis here in Virginia.

1:25:50 played a couple of years of softball at

1:25:52 Hampton University

1:25:54 just a little ways down the road in the

1:25:56 757.

1:25:59 Made her debut for the Indianapolis

1:26:01 Clowns in Charleston, South Carolina.

1:26:03 The former Little League World Series

1:26:06 superstar. Now coming in for what should

1:26:09 be her third third inning of work, a

1:26:13 third inning of work, which would

1:26:15 complete her first inning of work here

1:26:16 on the tour. 3 minutes 25 seconds what

1:26:18 she spends on the buck and so far has

1:26:20 not allowed much outside of one ball

1:26:22 four sprints but she's going up against

1:26:24 the ever dangerous Lamar Sparks and boy

1:26:27 this could be a quick one FOR MONAE

1:26:30 BOBBY OH A DOUBLE TRICK play

1:26:35 behind the back from Prime and the

1:26:37 Clouds take an 87 lead in the trick play

1:26:41 column one pitch one swing and two trick

1:26:45 plays for Mona Hey, Davis. And her first

1:26:48 inning of work is complete with no

1:26:51 damage done against her.

1:26:54 That was an incredible bit of defense

1:26:56 there from the Indianapolis Clowns. We

1:26:58 welcome you back here inside the

1:27:00 Dispatch Center. We must say goodbye to

1:27:02 our friend Fisher Polygoroff. He might

1:27:04 have some business to take care of out

1:27:05 on the field. Fischer, we've enjoyed

1:27:07 having you in the booth. Why don't we do

1:27:09 this a lot more as 2026 goes on?

1:27:11 >> I would absolutely love that. Zach State

1:27:13 and I look forward to calling more games

1:27:15 and just, you know, putting my heart and

1:27:17 soul out there for the Indianapolis

1:27:18 Clowns fans that deserve to know all

1:27:20 about the team and the players. Thank

1:27:22 you so much for sitting alongside me and

1:27:23 just talking some banana ball.

1:27:24 >> Old knuckles.

1:27:25 >> It was a blast.

1:27:26 >> It's good to have you up here, old

1:27:27 sport. That is Fisher Polyoroff again.

1:27:29 You might see him on the field a little

1:27:31 later. I can't make any promises, but he

1:27:33 might have some business to take care

1:27:34 of. We thank you Fisher Palyorov for

1:27:36 coming on up to the booth and spending a

1:27:38 couple days this weekend in the

1:27:40 Commonwealth with us here up in the

1:27:42 booth. And now from up in the booth down

1:27:46 on the sidelines. Hello Matty Warren.

1:27:48 What you got?

1:27:49 >> Hello Zach. Well, it was a joy hearing

1:27:51 Fisher Polydorov's voice in my ear for a

1:27:53 little bit there and uh it was so fun

1:27:55 that I just decided to come over here

1:27:56 and hang out with some clowns. And let

1:27:58 me tell you, the vibes are high over

1:28:01 here. If you couldn't tell by the triple

1:28:04 trick play first inning. If you couldn't

1:28:06 tell by that diving catch by Nico out in

1:28:08 left field. If you couldn't tell by the

1:28:10 electric response to Monave Davis taking

1:28:11 the mound. The vibes are different over

1:28:13 here. This is a team that has seen the

1:28:15 firefighters last weekend. They

1:28:17 obviously saw them last night and it was

1:28:18 a tough loss last night. But hey, they

1:28:21 put up a win against the firefighters

1:28:22 last weekend and they are definitely

1:28:24 looking to do that now right here in

1:28:26 Richmond. They don't want Richmond just

1:28:27 to belong to the firefighters. They want

1:28:29 it to be the clown city as well. So

1:28:31 vibes are high. You got Clark Gilmore

1:28:32 throwing trick pitches like that. How

1:28:34 can you not love it, Zach? But uh I

1:28:36 think things are getting pretty

1:28:37 interesting down here.

1:28:38 >> They are getting pretty interesting.

1:28:39 Matty, thank you very much. Down on the

1:28:41 sidelines as Austin Temple is the new

1:28:43 pitcher for the fire and flames out on

1:28:45 the mound. Last weekend had a little

1:28:46 trouble with three innings of work and a

1:28:49 rain soaked floor field in game two.

1:28:51 Went three innings was a little tougher

1:28:54 the last couple of weekends. He's had

1:28:56 some issues particularly with the ball

1:28:57 four sprint. When at is locked in, man,

1:29:00 he can strike you out and he can just

1:29:01 induce soft contact. 16ks on the year

1:29:04 would be good enough for third on the

1:29:06 firefighters. That is a tremendous pitch

1:29:09 on the inside corner, but Brian Dancero

1:29:11 doesn't look at it. And our first full

1:29:13 count of the night for 18.

1:29:21 Low ball for Sprint. And again, that is

1:29:23 where the trouble is. Dancer takes a

1:29:26 peak from first. doesn't go anywhere

1:29:28 though and we'll head back to first

1:29:30 base.

1:29:32 What a way that the Clowns have

1:29:34 responded here tonight. You can clearly

1:29:37 see the trick plays are a factor

1:29:40 tonight. 8-7 in favor

1:29:43 of the Indianapolis Clowns. And it just

1:29:45 ended with a sweet double trick play

1:29:47 from Bobby Leay and Carell Prime on the

1:29:50 one pitch thrown by Monae Davis. And

1:29:52 Clark Gilmore with a strike out on the

1:29:55 behind the back pitch to one of the

1:29:57 hottest hitters in the sport. Is gutsy,

1:30:00 but he went for it. Throw down from

1:30:01 Zachary Bridges and he doesn't get him.

1:30:05 Boy, the firefighters thought they did

1:30:07 have him. Flash gets to second on the

1:30:09 steel. Austin Temple is palms up in a

1:30:12 half. Hunter arrives making the safe

1:30:14 call. I do not see a challenge yet.

1:30:21 I believe the fans might have just

1:30:22 launched the confetti and they have.

1:30:25 >> So we have a challenge. But to see that

1:30:28 replay one more time. We can rewind that

1:30:30 back here.

1:30:34 There is the fan. Launch the confetti.

1:30:36 We have a challenge.

1:30:40 Again, this is the only professional

1:30:41 sport where fans can challenge. So throw

1:30:45 to tiny.

1:30:47 >> There's the tag.

1:30:50 Hello.

1:30:51 >> That's awfully tough right there.

1:30:54 >> Throw is clearly in time from Zachary

1:30:55 Bridges, the new catcher.

1:30:58 >> And I would not want to be in the

1:30:59 position of these umpires.

1:31:04 Everybody pretty adamant about what they

1:31:07 feel. I think to flash the hand comes

1:31:11 off there. Let's look at this one more

1:31:13 time.

1:31:14 There's the hand. I don't know that this

1:31:17 can be overturned. Hunter Ives had a

1:31:19 pretty decent look at it, but they are

1:31:22 going to look at some different replay

1:31:23 angles down on the field. Here's our

1:31:25 high home.

1:31:27 I mean, there's the tag right there.

1:31:32 Where does that lead hand come off the

1:31:34 bag?

1:31:39 Clearly tagged there. Where is that lead

1:31:42 hand there? Let's take a peek

1:31:44 >> after further review. After review,

1:31:46 >> the call on the field stands

1:31:49 >> and they keep the call.

1:31:53 >> So quickly a runner in scoring position

1:31:56 and Kirkland Banks

1:32:00 comes in.

1:32:06 He's got an RBI double. That won't be

1:32:10 the same result. Tiner Hughes underneath

1:32:12 of it

1:32:13 >> high into the RICHMOND SKIES. DOUBLE

1:32:16 TRICK PLAY. COLBO BOTH IN.

1:32:19 The second double trick play of the

1:32:21 evening for Young Tiner.

1:32:25 >> Peanut goes under the legs.

1:32:29 >> And that's one down. Firefighters a

1:32:31 third of the way to trying to strand a

1:32:32 runner at second. Bats not as hot as

1:32:34 they were last night for the Fire and

1:32:36 Flames, but the gloves sure are. nine

1:32:38 trick plays and we're just a third of

1:32:40 the way through the fifth inning.

1:32:43 Through the top of the fifth inning, I

1:32:44 must say Joe Gray Jr. has earned himself

1:32:46 a single and an RBI tag along with it.

1:32:49 Struck out in his first appearance

1:32:51 against Jared Donaldelsson. Temple

1:32:54 looked back, flashed. He's already got a

1:32:56 steal here in the inning. Temple a

1:32:58 little high. Zachary Bridges is in.

1:33:00 Remember the designated fielder. So EJ

1:33:02 stays in the game.

1:33:06 We've just ticked under an hour to go.

1:33:10 >> High into the Commonwealth skies again.

1:33:13 Tiny tracking it. Can he find it? Oh, he

1:33:15 just does it the oldfashioned way.

1:33:17 Probably the smart play. The wind is

1:33:19 awfully swirly here sometimes in

1:33:21 Richmond. Tiny. That one going well away

1:33:23 from him. Maybe South Trimble had a beat

1:33:25 on it, but Tiny just brings it in. And

1:33:27 quickly now there are two down.

1:33:30 And how about this? Jackie Bradley Jr.

1:33:34 will step up. He's got an RBI single in

1:33:36 that third inning with the Clowns tag

1:33:38 him for three. So Austin Temple got to

1:33:41 be awfully careful. And look, he gave up

1:33:43 JBJ's first banana ball home run in

1:33:45 Montgomery. The next time he faced him,

1:33:47 struck him out.

1:33:51 Talk about the best of both worlds. JBJ

1:33:53 bent at the knees at that one. Didn't

1:33:54 like the call. Doesn't matter. It's a

1:33:56 1-1 count.

1:34:05 High up.

1:34:07 >> Lamar chasing it back to the wall. And

1:34:10 is it done? Yes, it is.

1:34:15 A hometown shot for the Richmond boy.

1:34:18 Jackie Bradley Jr.

1:34:28 The kid comes back home and HE FINDS

1:34:32 HIMSELF A DOOZY OF a dinger.

1:34:35 JBJ

1:34:37 two-run blast. We send it down. Well,

1:34:41 Matty Warren, do you have him?

1:34:45 >> Hey, first professional home run in your

1:34:48 hometown. How special is this for you?

1:34:50 >> It's amazing. I do it for the hometown

1:34:51 crowd. I love it. WHAT UP, M? OH, THIS

1:34:54 IS JACKIE'S MOM. MOM, what did you

1:34:55 think?

1:34:56 >> Perfect timing.

1:34:58 >> Thank you so much. Appreciate it. Love

1:35:00 y'all, Richmond.

1:35:01 >> Oh, that was perfect timing. You can't

1:35:02 you can't make this up, guys. Zack.

1:35:04 >> Well, that was sweet.

1:35:06 Miss Alfredo down on the sidelines

1:35:10 to see her kid get the hometown home run

1:35:14 at as soon as the home run gets given

1:35:17 up, he finds a way to get the third out.

1:35:19 Wondering why that couldn't have

1:35:20 happened just a moment ago.

1:35:22 JBJ off the end of the bat. Lamar trying

1:35:25 desperately

1:35:27 to get that one. Couldn't do it. And how

1:35:29 about this? JBJ, another homer on a

1:35:32 sparkling start to his banana ball

1:35:34 career. Gives the Clouds a two nothing

1:35:36 lead in the fifth inning. Let's go down

1:35:38 to the field for a little fire line.

1:35:42 >> Fire line. All units. All units.

1:35:47 All

1:35:49 units.

1:35:54 Fire

1:36:02 starts up on

1:36:16 Hey,

1:36:33 I'm a fire starter.

1:37:07 Man, those guys can play the drums.

1:37:11 and play them well with fire shooting

1:37:13 into the sky out of their kits.

1:37:16 >> Folks,

1:37:20 >> Nick Wilson is on the bump. I want to

1:37:23 take you back. Look at this. THAT KID

1:37:25 JUST HAD THE HOME RUN BALL IN HER HANDS.

1:37:31 OH, don't say that word.

1:37:34 She just said a naughty word. I think

1:37:37 that's all right. That swing from JBJ.

1:37:39 filthier than that kid's vocabulary. And

1:37:41 here's Nick Wilson, bell bottoms and

1:37:43 all. Comes on in with the Jordans on his

1:37:46 feet.

1:37:49 And all he's got to do is protect a

1:37:50 two-run frame with the bottom third of

1:37:53 the order coming up for the fire in

1:37:54 flames last weekend in Floorfield.

1:37:56 Getting a start went two and a thirds.

1:37:59 Gave up

1:38:01 just one, no, I'm sorry, two walk-offs.

1:38:06 4 minutes 42 seconds in Floorfield in a

1:38:08 386 erra. Three hits, three runs

1:38:12 allowed,

1:38:14 but this is one of the leading

1:38:16 candidates for

1:38:18 that other starting spot on a twoday

1:38:21 rotation. And tonight, he comes into the

1:38:23 fifth and sixth innings. This is

1:38:24 something that Eric Fox has done before.

1:38:26 Take a guy who you think should be

1:38:29 starting and put him in the fifth and

1:38:30 the sixth in those middle innings. He

1:38:32 did that with David Griffin in the

1:38:33 fourth, fifth, and the sixth inning in

1:38:35 Montgomery, Alabama. And he shut the

1:38:37 firefighters right on down. Those middle

1:38:39 innings can be so important. Can he do

1:38:41 it again? Hey, a trick pitch.

1:38:56 N

1:39:05 all you got to do after

1:39:10 2

1:39:16 and

1:39:20 >> Wilson's NPI is going torpedo, but he

1:39:22 got a strike out of it. So, I think it's

1:39:24 probably worth the trade-off.

1:39:27 He just said,

1:39:29 "You know what? The clock can wait. I'm

1:39:32 going to try this." Armando down the

1:39:34 left field line into the stands.

1:39:39 It's a bobble. Oh, no.

1:39:42 >> They call him out. I thought it was a

1:39:44 bobble.

1:39:46 Hold on a minute. That looked like a

1:39:47 bobble to me. I do not believe that

1:39:50 should have been a fan caught foul ball.

1:39:53 >> Yep. That's clearly bobbled. That is

1:39:55 clearly bobbled.

1:39:57 >> Clearly bobbled. That should not be a

1:39:59 fan-c foul ball. Absolutely shouldn't.

1:40:02 You have to catch it cleanly out of the

1:40:03 sky. If it goes through your hands, it

1:40:06 doesn't matter. You can't catch it on a

1:40:08 second chance. It is a bobble.

1:40:10 Therefore, it should be safe. We have a

1:40:13 conference.

1:40:15 Hunter arrives

1:40:17 talking with Jake Moore, John Crosser,

1:40:19 and Chad Little who made the call at

1:40:21 third base. Armando was pretty adamant

1:40:24 right off the rip

1:40:26 that that was safe.

1:40:39 >> And now we're getting a review. I have

1:40:41 not seen if someone has challenged this

1:40:43 call.

1:40:45 I mean, you give credit to the fan. It's

1:40:47 a heck of a play.

1:40:52 >> So, we get an umpire review here

1:40:55 announced.

1:41:06 >> I don't think there's much more to say.

1:41:07 He did not catch it cleanly. It's a cool

1:41:10 catch. It's a cool moment for him.

1:41:14 Like he's bottling it like four or five

1:41:15 times.

1:41:17 Here's the call.

1:41:22 >> In a minute. Armando, by the way, has

1:41:24 not even left the circle.

1:41:30 A bobble, not a clean catch.

1:41:34 >> And that is the correct ruler.

1:41:37 Again, you must catch it cleanly out of

1:41:41 the sky. You cannot bobble it. We're not

1:41:44 doing tip drills with y'all. No trick

1:41:46 plays here. It's a no two count, by the

1:41:48 way. And Armando sends that to the bat.

1:41:52 So, after all that,

1:41:55 Armando stays in the batters box.

1:42:02 Mondo stays alive.

1:42:08 That's why AJ Switzk always says bring a

1:42:11 glove because there you might not have

1:42:13 had it. But what an inning we have seen

1:42:15 here. Richmond's very own kid, Jackie

1:42:19 Bradley Jr. sends an absolute laser out

1:42:23 to left field. It took everything to get

1:42:25 out of here, but he launches his fourth

1:42:27 homer of the year out to left field.

1:42:31 Bouncer over to Jaylen Vasquez at second

1:42:33 base. has a little trouble with the

1:42:35 transfer behind the back, but he does

1:42:37 get it in time for the out.

1:42:41 >> And so the trick play column

1:42:45 goes back to a nine nine advantage for

1:42:48 the firefighters. Remember, if it's

1:42:50 tied, equalizer point would not be

1:42:51 awarded. DMAC, we are really testing the

1:42:54 fans here, but that one doesn't even get

1:42:56 close to him.

1:43:06 Outside ball one.

1:43:09 >> DMac his first appearance up. Got

1:43:12 himself a single

1:43:14 forcing Nick Wilson to have to bring

1:43:16 something in.

1:43:22 Right back up the cut. JBJ

1:43:25 has to pull that one off the ground. And

1:43:27 so a second single in the books for DMAC

1:43:31 and you'll clearly get Noah Bridges onto

1:43:34 the base pads and Mason Maxwell strides

1:43:37 on in here. He's already got an RBI

1:43:39 single to his name. A couple this

1:43:40 weekend. They really need him to get on

1:43:42 base here and give something for South

1:43:45 Tremble.

1:43:50 The bats just haven't quite been as

1:43:53 impressive today as they have been in

1:43:55 the past for the firefighters, but

1:43:57 situational hitting is always critical.

1:44:00 But quickly, it's an 02 count.

1:44:06 Good eye from Doublem.

1:44:14 Back out. Foul.

1:44:22 We play on Mason hard shot. Noah Bridg

1:44:26 has had to get out of the way. Joe Gray

1:44:29 trying to fire to third, but not before

1:44:32 Noah gets all the way to third. He's

1:44:33 coming home. Eli Payton has to load one

1:44:36 into Chris Burgess. Not in time.

1:44:40 And nobody was at shortstop when that

1:44:43 one went away on the throw from Joe Gray

1:44:45 Jr. And Mason Maxwell has helped bring

1:44:48 in the first run that the firefighters

1:44:51 need to equalize this bad boy up. AND

1:44:53 CHIEF IS BEING CALLED FOR. AND CHIEF

1:44:57 WILL BE HEARD FROM.

1:45:02 You'll see later the replay. It's a heck

1:45:06 of a beat there from Noah to get out of

1:45:09 third base

1:45:12 >> and get home. And now South Tremble. You

1:45:16 know the emotions are high for him

1:45:17 coming back home. 757 kid had a K in his

1:45:20 first outing. Like to get something

1:45:23 here. Boy, that's an awfully good pitch

1:45:24 to swing at and he doesn't.

1:45:28 He's had three played appearances this

1:45:29 year. He's had two hits. And he'll have

1:45:32 another strike out that time looking.

1:45:38 >> So a tough night here for Smoke back in

1:45:40 his home state.

1:45:42 >> We'll have to try this one again. Number

1:45:44 59.

1:45:46 >> Nick Wilson just pointed at us at home.

1:45:48 Hi Nick.

1:45:50 Tiny D to left field. NICO CHASING BACK

1:45:54 AND IT'S GOING TO STOP at the track.

1:45:58 Everybody in Richmond thought we had

1:46:00 just seen a big shot from Tiner.

1:46:02 Instead, it is the second point of the

1:46:05 night for the Indianapolis Clowns.

1:46:10 >> We all held our breath. Tiny. had a

1:46:14 little bit better view of it than me.

1:46:18 >> Lovers, or at least that's what we say.

1:46:20 So, we found a bachelorette and three

1:46:23 eligible bachelors. She is going to feel

1:46:26 all three potential dates. And whichever

1:46:29 one she chooses, we are going to give

1:46:31 them an all expense paid trip to this

1:46:35 game of banana ball

1:46:37 cuz why not? All right. What is your

1:46:39 name?

1:46:40 >> I'm Kate.

1:46:40 >> Hi, Kate. All right, Kate. Feel bachelor

1:46:44 number one.

1:46:48 Okay. All right. Not bad. Take a couple

1:46:49 steps to your side. There's number two.

1:46:54 Oh, hey, don't pull the hair. Jeez. All

1:46:56 right. And bachelor number three. Okay.

1:47:00 Hey, calm down, Kate. Calm down.

1:47:03 Bachelor number three.

1:47:07 >> Okay. All right. All right. Now, stand

1:47:08 here. Now, in case you didn't realize,

1:47:11 she's blindfolded. So, Kate, I want you

1:47:14 to choose who you're going to go on a

1:47:15 date with tonight at this show. Will it

1:47:18 be Bachelor number one, two, or three?

1:47:22 >> Definitely number two.

1:47:23 >> Definitely number two. All right, two,

1:47:25 take a step out. Kate, remove your

1:47:27 blindfold and meet your new date here.

1:47:30 Introduce yourself.

1:47:31 >> Hi, I'm Kate.

1:47:32 >> She's Kate.

1:47:33 >> Hi, Kate. Mason. It's really cute.

1:47:36 >> Oh. Oh, he said she's really cute. Well,

1:47:38 all right. Shake hands. Do whatever.

1:47:40 Ladies and gentlemen, once again, we

1:47:42 found out that Virginia is for lover.

1:47:45 Jeez. Hey. Hey. It's a first date. First

1:47:49 date. Okay, calm down. All right, we're

1:47:51 going to send you on a date. It's

1:47:53 getting a little heated right now, but

1:47:54 ladies and gentlemen, make some noise

1:47:57 >> for Virginia Has Lovers.

1:48:02 >> Well, that was interesting.

1:48:04 >> Virginia is for lovers, but you know who

1:48:06 else Virginia is for? It's for the

1:48:08 fighters. It's also for the magicians.

1:48:12 South Tremble on the mic for the first

1:48:15 time in his Banana Paw career. Souy,

1:48:18 >> hey, Zack.

1:48:18 >> Hi.

1:48:19 >> How are you?

1:48:20 >> Great hearing your voice, man.

1:48:21 >> I love hearing your voice. I didn't get

1:48:23 to see you out in the plaza today.

1:48:25 >> Man, what's it been like the last couple

1:48:27 days being home here in Virginia?

1:48:30 >> It's It's been absolutely amazing. you

1:48:33 know, the second I stepped back foot in

1:48:34 Virginia, like there's just that that

1:48:37 scent you get, you know, back when

1:48:39 you're in your hometown and it's been

1:48:40 great.

1:48:41 >> That scent is of greatness, by the way.

1:48:44 >> Absolutely.

1:48:44 >> Especially coming off of you.

1:48:47 >> That sounded odd. That's a great piece

1:48:49 of lumber laid down there by Dale

1:48:51 Francis Jr. It'll be a single

1:48:53 >> and the Clowns start out this inning

1:48:56 much like they did the last couple with

1:48:57 a base runner.

1:48:59 South, you have some history in this

1:49:04 >> city as well. George Mason, you helped

1:49:06 win an Atlantic 10 championship at that

1:49:08 stadium just across the street.

1:49:09 >> Absolutely. Right over there. 2023

1:49:13 Pats won the A10 tournament. Literally

1:49:16 the best moments of my life. So many

1:49:18 memories here. Oh, come on. Yeah,

1:49:20 peanut.

1:49:21 >> Impressive. Come on.

1:49:22 >> Bounce pass over the first. Not in time,

1:49:25 but they do book the trick play.

1:49:27 >> Good effort. And that's important. Trick

1:49:30 play battle a little closer today than

1:49:31 it was last night. That's the 10th trick

1:49:34 play of the evening

1:49:36 for the firefighters. Peanut gets

1:49:38 another one on the board. He is just

1:49:40 sensational out in the field. Now, last

1:49:42 year when we played in Richmond, South

1:49:44 did not get a chance to play because he

1:49:45 took a fast ball to the face. I think in

1:49:48 the offseason, right?

1:49:50 >> Yeah. Preseason. Yeah. I got hit by a

1:49:54 mid 90s fast ball. Quick recovery

1:49:57 though.

1:49:58 about to say, did it hurt?

1:50:00 >> Oh, yeah. But, you know, it's all about

1:50:02 toughness. Um, I'm just glad I didn't

1:50:05 lose any teeth or, you know, lose my

1:50:07 vision.

1:50:07 >> My question is, if you're a magician,

1:50:09 why didn't you just move the ball?

1:50:11 >> You know, that's a good that's a good

1:50:13 question. I definitely am a magician,

1:50:15 but I don't have the force.

1:50:17 >> Like,

1:50:18 >> good point.

1:50:18 >> I wish I did.

1:50:19 >> Good point.

1:50:22 >> Sometimes we mix them up. Chance for a

1:50:24 double play. Peanut between the legs.

1:50:26 timer over to first. It will not be in

1:50:28 time. So, another out is recorded at

1:50:30 second

1:50:31 >> for Carell Prime. Moves like a tear down

1:50:34 the line

1:50:35 >> and it'll be a fieldielder's choice.

1:50:37 We're

1:50:37 >> doing some hard 90s tonight.

1:50:39 >> Man, these are some tough ones. Infield

1:50:41 playing a hair slow, but Peanut gets

1:50:44 himself to get another trip play. He's

1:50:46 on the verge of turning a rare trio of

1:50:49 trick plays for a trio of outs if he

1:50:51 gets one more hit to him.

1:50:52 >> Is that Can I ask how the booth is up

1:50:53 there?

1:50:54 >> How the booth is?

1:50:56 It's pretty cool actually.

1:50:57 >> I definitely thought you were about to

1:50:58 hit me with the Drew Yanesta. It doesn't

1:51:00 matter how the booth is.

1:51:02 >> I was so ready for it. I took the pause.

1:51:04 >> It's It's quite good. I'll have to get

1:51:06 you up here at some point. You appeared

1:51:07 in Montgomery for like one question and

1:51:09 then left me.

1:51:11 >> Yeah, that was a fun time. Yeah.

1:51:12 Disappeared out of the booth.

1:51:14 >> Baseball runs deep in the family of the

1:51:16 Trebles. His brother Fenwick is now with

1:51:18 the Miami Marlins. James Madison product

1:51:22 is that one sent to the heavens.

1:51:25 You think Fenwick's watching tonight?

1:51:28 >> Can you repeat that?

1:51:29 >> Yeah. You think Finnwick's watching

1:51:30 tonight? Your brother who's obviously

1:51:31 with the Marlins?

1:51:32 >> Yeah, definitely. Um,

1:51:34 >> he's he's tuning in. I think they're

1:51:36 playing actually tonight as well.

1:51:39 >> Malachi will take the steal a second.

1:51:41 Zachary Bridges has a little trouble on

1:51:43 the transfer. It's a two- two count.

1:51:46 This could be a little trouble here for

1:51:47 the Firefighters. Austin Temple would

1:51:48 love a ground ball or a K here

1:51:52 to get out of this one. Runner in

1:51:54 scoring position. South Trimble on the

1:51:56 microphone. As you can see, that one

1:51:57 gets by ZB and Malachi is now to third

1:52:00 in a ball for Sprint. Easily would get

1:52:02 another run across for the Clowns.

1:52:04 >> You ready, Temple? You're good. You're

1:52:05 good, bud. Let's go.

1:52:06 >> Let him know. Souy,

1:52:08 >> hey, he's got this. He's

1:52:09 >> Most people are going to ask where the

1:52:11 name comes from. That is a historic name

1:52:13 in your family.

1:52:15 >> The name South Trimble.

1:52:17 >> Yes.

1:52:18 >> Oh, that is a beautiful moving pitch,

1:52:20 but it is a ball for sprint.

1:52:23 And that will score a run. Malachi

1:52:26 >> flashes on home and for the third

1:52:29 straight or second straight inning,

1:52:30 third time in four innings now the

1:52:32 Clowns will bring across a run. So Chris

1:52:35 Burgess with an RBI ball for Sprint.

1:52:40 How much do you get asked about the

1:52:41 first name? Because it is a special name

1:52:43 in your family.

1:52:47 Line down the left field line.

1:52:52 We wait for the answer from South.

1:52:54 >> Can you repeat that? Sorry, I didn't

1:52:55 hear anything.

1:52:55 >> Often do you get asked about the name

1:52:57 South considering it is one of very

1:52:59 special meaning to your family.

1:53:00 >> All the time they say it's a family

1:53:02 name, but everyone asks if I have a

1:53:03 brother named North or they just don't

1:53:05 believe me.

1:53:06 >> In fact, you were asked at the beginning

1:53:08 of the year as Austin Temple runs it up

1:53:10 to a one-two count what a new name you

1:53:12 would be if you could have the

1:53:13 opportunity to choose one. You said

1:53:14 North yourself.

1:53:16 >> Yeah. Listen to that loud.

1:53:18 >> I heard I heard that teenage humor from

1:53:20 him. I've heard it. Oh yeah.

1:53:22 >> Tiny between the legs. Car that went in

1:53:24 for a trick play.

1:53:25 >> South Tremor.

1:53:26 >> I've heard it.

1:53:26 >> I've heard it so many times though, Ben.

1:53:29 I've just I've just gone with it.

1:53:30 >> You know what? I don't blame you for one

1:53:33 second. A lot of people can call you a

1:53:34 lot of things as you get a high five

1:53:36 from somebody. Hey, we call you Smoke.

1:53:38 Some people call you North or South. I

1:53:40 call you one of my favorite people in

1:53:42 the world. Souy, I love you.

1:53:43 >> Hey, Zach. I love you, too.

1:53:45 >> Go Virginia, baby.

1:53:46 >> Two up, two down, right?

1:53:48 >> Let's go.

1:53:49 >> Let's go. Two up, two down.

1:53:53 >> Let's take a look at a couple of quick

1:53:55 hitters here

1:53:57 in the land of quick hits apparently in

1:53:59 Richmond, Virginia as the Clowns up two

1:54:01 to one.

1:54:06 But last night, Las Vegas party animals

1:54:09 gambled in the strike zone and they lost

1:54:11 a lot of money and a lot of hits and a

1:54:13 lot of runs. Look at this hit. Home run

1:54:16 hit. hit

1:54:19 right through. 23 hits for the Coconuts

1:54:24 banana ball record. One that has either

1:54:27 been broken or tied already twice before

1:54:29 last night. 22 hits for the clowns on

1:54:31 April 10th. One day later, the

1:54:33 firefighters did it to somebody else.

1:54:37 That would be the Party Animals, by the

1:54:39 way. Party animals have been on the

1:54:40 receiving end of some bad nights from

1:54:43 the uh the opposing team at the plate.

1:54:45 They were last night. Coconuts breaking

1:54:47 the banana ball record. Firefighters

1:54:49 really need something here.

1:54:52 They scored the first point of the game

1:54:53 and have not really done so since. And

1:54:54 they're not going to here. Carell Prime

1:54:57 GOING DUMB WITH IT AT FIRST AND IN TIME

1:55:00 FOR THE OUT.

1:55:03 Took a couple of chances with it, but

1:55:05 Prime gets the trick play out on a quick

1:55:08 hit from Dalton Cornette.

1:55:19 Firefighters down to one and one-

1:55:22 nothing in the frame. They have not

1:55:23 scored

1:55:25 a point since the second inning. They

1:55:27 need something here. They've had a

1:55:29 couple of opportunities, had two on,

1:55:32 down one run in the third inning, but

1:55:34 could not bring those two runs home. And

1:55:37 that looks massive right now considering

1:55:40 how close the strict play battle is.

1:55:41 Clowns fighting for that equalizer point

1:55:44 as Lacy stares at that one into the

1:55:46 dirt. Two-2 count.

1:55:48 Now would be about as good as time as

1:55:50 ever for his second home run of the

1:55:51 year. He'll also take one up high

1:55:59 and a ball force BR on the table.

1:56:02 Lacy sends one to the back stop. Do the

1:56:05 fans have an opportunity?

1:56:07 They don't because it landed.

1:56:11 So we play on

1:56:20 >> Lacy Chopper to his third base compadre.

1:56:24 Eli Payton. That's a tough throw.

1:56:33 >> Little consternation on if that was fair

1:56:35 or foul. Boy, I thought it was foul.

1:56:38 Logan Lacy thinks it's foul. Val Perez

1:56:41 thinks it's foul, but they call it fair.

1:56:47 >> So now EJ represents the last

1:56:49 opportunity for the firefighters to

1:56:50 salvage a point. Boy, they need him.

1:56:56 >> EJ has reached on a ball for sprint

1:56:57 tonight and then flew out to left field

1:57:00 into the stands. Could history repeat

1:57:03 itself? I can't see.

1:57:06 They say it's a FAN CAUGHT FOUL BALL AND

1:57:08 IT is

1:57:10 and everything is going the way of the

1:57:14 Indianapolis Clouds tonight. The second

1:57:16 weekend in a row that Eric Jones Jr. has

1:57:20 flown out to a fan.

1:57:24 You know the rules. If a fan catches a

1:57:26 foul ball, it's an out. Everything going

1:57:29 the clown's way. And that means that's a

1:57:32 big plus to JBJ's mother who is in the

1:57:35 crowd with Maddie Warren.

1:57:38 >> Hey, Zach. I'm down here, not in the

1:57:40 crowd, but actually on the sidelines

1:57:42 with Jackie Bley Jr.'s mom, Alfreda, who

1:57:44 is down here at the perfect time for

1:57:47 Jackie's home run earlier. So, we're

1:57:49 going to start there. Uh, what was going

1:57:52 through your mind when you're making

1:57:53 your way down to the field and now you

1:57:55 also see him hit that home run?

1:57:58 So, as I was coming around um from

1:58:01 section 117,

1:58:03 I was trying to get here as fast as I

1:58:05 could um cuz I knew something was about

1:58:07 to happen. And by the time I started

1:58:10 walking down the stairs, there was the

1:58:13 home run. So, I just basically, you

1:58:16 know, joged down with joy, was excited

1:58:20 about meeting him at home plates. Where

1:58:22 does that feel like that ranks for you

1:58:25 in terms of probably so many memories

1:58:26 that you've had of watching Jackie play?

1:58:28 But it feels like there's something

1:58:30 special about the fact that that was

1:58:31 that that was his first professional

1:58:32 home run in his hometown.

1:58:34 >> Yes. Um it was special because number

1:58:37 one, he's playing with the Clowns, which

1:58:39 is a legendary team. And then to make

1:58:43 his first home run in the town, the city

1:58:47 where he was raised among the fans here

1:58:51 in Richmond, Virginia is just so

1:58:53 amazing.

1:58:54 >> Well, and I know that everybody in

1:58:55 Banana Land absolutely loves Jackie, but

1:58:58 he also loves his hometown here. What

1:59:00 can you kind of say about what it's

1:59:02 meant to see him give back to his

1:59:04 community and continue to play in banana

1:59:05 ball?

1:59:06 >> It's been great. I remember in 2016 when

1:59:10 he was filled with the Boston Red Sox, I

1:59:13 um organized a Jackie Bradley Jr.

1:59:15 community day at um Swers uh park, which

1:59:20 is like a little park for children to

1:59:22 come and play, and it's in Prince

1:59:24 George. So, I organized that and I

1:59:27 basically had the top part of the

1:59:30 business um dedicated to him signing

1:59:33 autographs um fans that had paid to come

1:59:38 and see him. It was really a great

1:59:41 experience and I think that that was a

1:59:43 highlight to show the fans in Prince

1:59:46 George County and the surrounding areas

1:59:48 that Jackie was committed to being

1:59:50 faithful to the community and the people

1:59:53 that have supported him over the years.

1:59:56 >> Well, I know where Jackie gets it from

1:59:57 and I know why we love him so much.

1:59:59 Alfreda Haggins, Jackie Bradley Jr.'s

2:00:01 mom, just an absolute gem of a human

2:00:03 being and it's just been so special to

2:00:05 have you here. Thanks so much, Zach.

2:00:06 Back up to you.

2:00:08 It has been so special to have Jackie

2:00:11 Bradley Jr.'s family here with us. Kaden

2:00:14 Peanut Green has just

2:00:17 >> gotten another trick play on the board

2:00:18 for the firefighters. They lead it with

2:00:20 a count of 13 right now. I have it 13 to

2:00:23 11. Again, waiting on our official score

2:00:25 to tell me for sure. There's maybe one

2:00:28 or two that we're we're looking at, but

2:00:29 13 to 11 is is what I got it at.

2:00:33 Peanut's been special as that one leans

2:00:35 foul towards Logan Lacy. He throws it to

2:00:39 first trying to prove a point.

2:00:44 Point her Logan.

2:00:46 He didn't like that foul ball call

2:00:50 in the last half inning. That is a doozy

2:00:53 of a slider.

2:00:54 It won't go.

2:01:02 Two-1 to KB.

2:01:04 >> Right back up the middle. He is having

2:01:07 himself quite the ball game.

2:01:09 >> Another hit single to go along with his

2:01:11 RBI double.

2:01:14 Kirkland Banks

2:01:16 having a blast. And I believe we are set

2:01:18 for something real fun here from the

2:01:20 Indianapolis Clouds part.

2:01:34 I'm back.

2:01:36 I'm back.

2:01:39 I'm back.

2:01:41 I'm back.

2:01:42 Get up off of that thing. Dance for you.

2:01:45 You better get up off of that thing and

2:01:49 dance for you. Sing it now. GET UP OFF

2:01:51 OF that thing and dance for you. Feel

2:01:54 better. Get up off of that thing.

2:01:59 Get up

2:02:01 and shake the youth. Feel better.

2:02:05 >> One correction. 13-10 is our trick play

2:02:08 count. So the firefighters do have a

2:02:10 healthy lead there. And that could be

2:02:11 important in a game where they're

2:02:12 already trailing by two points as Joe

2:02:14 Gray Jr. little James Brown action

2:02:17 coming here to Richmond, Virginia. A lot

2:02:19 of people singing the lyrics to get up

2:02:22 off of that thing.

2:02:25 That was beautiful.

2:02:31 Beimo wanting to focus a little more on

2:02:33 his fast ball today. Feels when that's

2:02:36 going, he can throw a little bit harder,

2:02:38 a little bit faster. He's broken out a

2:02:40 couple of sliders.

2:02:41 Throwing to his old college teammate,

2:02:43 Zachary Bridges. Last time these two

2:02:46 pitched and catched with each other was

2:02:48 2019 with UNCC Wilmington is South

2:02:51 Tremble. Oh, he almost had a magic play.

2:02:56 That would have been sick. Got on his

2:02:59 high horse and was flying towards foul

2:03:02 territory but could not get it.

2:03:06 And so it lands foul. Look at this. Oh

2:03:08 man, it's just a game of inches there.

2:03:11 Might have been a tough one to catch

2:03:13 because if you do, you got to come right

2:03:14 back up and fire back to second.

2:03:16 Kirkland Banks might have been able to

2:03:17 take second.

2:03:19 >> Oo, a pickoff. Oh no. Kirkland Banks

2:03:22 broke it for second. Then put on the

2:03:24 brakes and quickly got back before Beimo

2:03:26 had an opportunity.

2:03:29 ONE, TWO, INSIDE BACKWARDS K.

2:03:36 Big slicer there

2:03:40 for Beimo

2:03:43 inside part.

2:03:49 >> Thanks, Jake.

2:03:52 >> Take those.

2:03:54 It's now to JBJ. The Richmond guy has

2:03:58 come home and given his fans something

2:04:01 to remember. A two-run homer in the top

2:04:03 of the fifth off the end of the bat. And

2:04:05 now he sends one to the stars again.

2:04:08 South Treble from one Virginia kid

2:04:11 to another.

2:04:17 The tip drill

2:04:19 goes down. That is a trick play for the

2:04:22 uh for the firefighters. Might not have

2:04:24 been the cleanest, but guess what? It

2:04:25 works. Look at this replay. South.

2:04:29 >> I mean, boy, head on out of Swivel

2:04:31 Mondo.

2:04:34 >> Ladies and gentlemen, I know you've

2:04:36 heard of musical chairs, BUT HERE IN

2:04:38 CLOWN TOWN, WE LIKE TO DO THINGS A

2:04:40 LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT. I GOT FOUR CLOWNS

2:04:42 HERE WITH ME WHO ARE GOING TO DIZZY BACK

2:04:44 while the music plays. And when that

2:04:46 music stop, IF YOU NOT IN THOSE SEAT,

2:04:49 YOU'RE OUT. WE LIKE TO CALL THIS ONE

2:04:52 CLOWNING AROUND.

2:04:54 Y'all ready?

2:04:56 DJ, HIT THAT MUSIC.

2:05:00 >> OH, that's spinning.

2:05:02 >> That's spinning. That's spinning. That's

2:05:04 spinning.

2:05:05 >> Let's get it.

2:05:08 >> OH,

2:05:11 and you're out, buddy.

2:05:14 >> All right. Spin, spin, spin, spin. Go

2:05:16 get that. Spin. Spin. Come on.

2:05:20 >> Come on. Come on. Come on.

2:05:23 Spin.

2:05:30 Come on. Come on. Last round.

2:05:34 >> Spin. Spin. Spin.

2:05:37 >> Oh yeah.

2:05:39 I'mma be the one to pick up your

2:05:43 clowns.

2:05:51 clowning around. WHERE'S THE CHAIR? OH

2:05:54 MAN, where is the chair?

2:06:10 >> Who's

2:06:20 And that is clowning around. Thank you.

2:06:30 >> Like when are you allowed to shove

2:06:31 someone over when they're clearly

2:06:33 sitting in the chair? Like clearly dude

2:06:36 in the Washington Nationals cap should

2:06:38 have won.

2:06:40 >> Never should have been anything there.

2:06:43 All right, Andrew Irvine is up. Another

2:06:45 Clowns batter and quickly gets Kaden

2:06:47 Green swinging. And boy, firefighters

2:06:49 need Peanut to get something here. He's

2:06:51 got a couple of Ks to his name.

2:06:56 That 11ame hit streak is starting to

2:06:59 come into play here just a little bit.

2:07:03 They need the hottest bat in the league

2:07:05 to find a swing. Clean top of the

2:07:07 seventh. Can you take advantage of it?

2:07:10 Peanut quickly has himself a 2-1 count

2:07:14 again. One more hit will do the job

2:07:21 in terms of tying his record of hits

2:07:24 from last year. He would he had 23 last

2:07:27 year. Could do it right here as well.

2:07:33 Right back up the middle AND YOU CAN GO

2:07:35 AHEAD AND MAKE IT 12 GAMES IN A ROW WITH

2:07:37 the hits. Peanut aboard ated first.

2:07:43 >> Take your announcers, Jinx, and run them

2:07:45 down the road. Peanut is aboard

2:07:48 >> and the firefighters have an inning run

2:07:52 at first base and the guy you would

2:07:55 absolutely adore to see coming up.

2:07:59 Lamar has a walk-off double in his first

2:08:02 plate appearance and then a ground out

2:08:04 to shortstop that resulted in a double

2:08:06 trick play for the Indianapolis Clowns.

2:08:08 Right now a 14-10 trick play advantage

2:08:11 for the firefighters. Remember equalizer

2:08:13 point only awarded to the visiting team.

2:08:15 So if the fighters have more trick plays

2:08:18 than the Clowns after the final full

2:08:21 inning, but as we go into the final

2:08:23 inning, if they have more trick plays,

2:08:26 they will deny the equalizer point. But

2:08:27 right now, we look like we should play

2:08:29 full nine. So after eight innings, the

2:08:30 firefighters, should they have more,

2:08:32 would deny the equalizer point, but we

2:08:35 got to see if we get there cuz Lamar

2:08:37 Sparks is a three-0 count.

2:08:41 I would be surprised if Lamar swings.

2:08:44 Told you. Made sure he wasn't going to

2:08:48 miss something.

2:08:50 >> 3-1

2:08:53 ball for sprint. And a beautiful at bat

2:08:56 for Lamar.

2:09:00 >> He's going to get to second base. Ball

2:09:03 dribbled out of Nico Hollesizer's hands.

2:09:05 And now this is real danger territory

2:09:07 for the Indianapolis Clowns. There are

2:09:08 two runners in scoring position. That

2:09:11 guy right there is the only run that

2:09:12 really matters at this point. And

2:09:13 Armando Betetta, who has an oppo taco to

2:09:16 his name, has the opportunity to end the

2:09:19 frame. If he puts one into the outfield,

2:09:22 as long as it's not shallow, it will do

2:09:24 the job. If it's a roller, it really

2:09:26 will do the job.

2:09:30 >> Mondo's got a ball force sprint to his

2:09:32 ledge of the day. You see the infield is

2:09:34 playing in. Did he go? No, he didn't.

2:09:37 Firefighters get one back from Chad

2:09:39 Little down there at third.

2:09:44 Irvine's had some tough times getting

2:09:46 out of innings.

2:09:50 He really needs a miracle here to give

2:09:51 the Clowns a 3-1 lead going into the

2:09:53 eighth.

2:09:54 >> Firefighters, all they can do going into

2:09:56 the ninth

2:09:58 >> would be to tie it.

2:10:05 Big swing there from Armando to make it

2:10:07 a two-1 count.

2:10:10 >> Oo, it's a good pitch from Irvine.

2:10:15 Two two count.

2:10:17 Javon Ray with the bullhorn. Mondo just

2:10:20 stays alive and ouchies that hurts off

2:10:22 the left foot.

2:10:27 Matty Warren has a bunker jacket on down

2:10:29 there. I think it's cuz it's cold. Don't

2:10:31 know whose it is. I'm looking to see.

2:10:33 Oh, it's Darren McDow's.

2:10:35 What a friend he is.

2:10:37 Two. Mondo again.

2:10:41 Stay off the foot, Mondo.

2:10:47 DMAC in the on deck circle. Should we

2:10:49 get there again? The firefighters,

2:10:50 nobody out in the frame. Seventh pitch

2:10:52 of the AB

2:10:55 in

2:10:56 ball four sprint would be disastrous. It

2:10:59 would be an inning walk-on for the

2:11:02 firefighters. Be disastrous for the

2:11:03 Clowns.

2:11:06 Disaster for the Clowns. Lovely for the

2:11:09 Fire and Flames.

2:11:11 Peanut extends the 12-game hit streak

2:11:13 and then scores a run and the

2:11:15 firefighters pull a point closer. It's a

2:11:18 3-2 game as Armando Basera earns his

2:11:20 second free trip to the base pads took a

2:11:23 lot of pain for it too as Zach Marie

2:11:25 Bridges.

2:11:26 >> Bradford Web and Johnny Hmel are dancing

2:11:29 with roller blades.

2:11:50 Well, that was beautiful.

2:11:52 >> Johnny Hmel scared the daylights, by the

2:11:54 way, out of Chief earlier with those

2:11:56 rollerblades on. Here are the trick

2:11:58 plays tonight, and there are much more

2:12:00 to choose from here in Richmond. Joe

2:12:03 Gray Jr.'s done a lot of good stuff.

2:12:05 Jackie Bradley Jr. in on it in his

2:12:06 hometown. Logan Lacy. Oh, that was

2:12:09 ridiculous.

2:12:12 Right now, it is a 14-10 advantage in

2:12:15 favor of the Fire and Flames. Again, if

2:12:18 the away team has more trick plays than

2:12:19 the home team going into the final

2:12:21 inning, they get a point. If the home

2:12:23 team has more points denied, it doesn't

2:12:25 matter. Firefighters right now

2:12:27 desperately need more trick plays just

2:12:29 to ensure it. They get three trick plays

2:12:32 in the top half of this frame. It's

2:12:33 going to be real difficult for the

2:12:35 Clowns to catch back up. Again, not

2:12:37 saying it's impossible, but it would be

2:12:39 improbable.

2:12:41 Seven trick plays really just about does

2:12:44 the job in terms of a gap. And look

2:12:46 who's on the field on the mound. Ben

2:12:49 Dum. And look at the special jersey he's

2:12:52 got on.

2:12:54 >> The VCU nod.

2:12:58 >> Look at the smile on that man's face.

2:13:03 You heard him from Matty Warren a little

2:13:05 bit earlier. He is as fired up as you

2:13:08 can get to come back home where he

2:13:10 played his college baseball and get one

2:13:13 more crack at it. He closed out the

2:13:15 firefighters win last year in game two

2:13:18 against the Texas Tailgator in Richmond

2:13:20 as that one goes foul off the bat of

2:13:21 Bobby Leay.

2:13:27 Now they need him to have a clean inning

2:13:29 here. broken bad special Tiner Hughes

2:13:32 tip drill right to himself. It'll do the

2:13:35 job.

2:13:36 Had a couple of those a couple of those

2:13:39 pieces of wood lumbering out.

2:13:44 But Diner has been special tonight

2:13:49 in the trick play column. He's got four

2:13:50 to his name. Peanut, by the way, has got

2:13:53 five.

2:13:59 Those two have been the trick play

2:14:01 leaders all throughout the year for the

2:14:02 Fire and Flames. John Crosser says Dale

2:14:04 Francis Jr. did not go

2:14:09 that time. It didn't matter if he went

2:14:11 cuz that was called a strike at the

2:14:13 plate.

2:14:15 Ben is the reigning pitcher of the year

2:14:16 in banana ball for reasons like this. In

2:14:19 big time situations, he can find it.

2:14:23 They need a clean top frame.

2:14:27 Trick plays will certainly help.

2:14:30 >> Dale wanted that one. Won't get it. Full

2:14:33 count.

2:14:39 Swings at that one and sends it into the

2:14:41 netting.

2:14:45 Dill's already got himself a single

2:14:47 tonight.

2:14:48 >> Like another one. Ben Dumb would like a

2:14:50 strikeout or a trick play.

2:14:52 >> Could he get a fan caught foul ball? No.

2:14:55 >> To the roof.

2:14:59 Quite the battle here from DFJ.

2:15:07 TRY THIS AGAIN. DALE STRIKES OUT. BEN

2:15:11 DUM THE THIRD. Break out the sprinkler

2:15:14 system. The silencer does his job

2:15:22 >> down in the count. works it back full

2:15:24 and then gets that one right inside.

2:15:27 Dale Offers and now we go to Nico

2:15:30 Hallizer who's got a ball four sprint

2:15:32 today along with a backwards K and got

2:15:34 on via fieldielder's choice

2:15:37 right back up the middle Tiner by him

2:15:40 and that's a single for Nico

2:15:43 give him his first hit on the evening

2:15:46 and the Clowns put a run on

2:15:50 and they would absolutely love to find a

2:15:53 way to get him home if they do it puts a

2:15:54 lot of pressure on the fire and flames

2:15:56 coming up DMAC

2:15:58 Mason and South are the guys to up

2:16:03 Prime. Boy, that just saved a lot of

2:16:06 people in the sweets. There's a kid up

2:16:07 there with his bare hand out.

2:16:11 Donnie just tried to slide tackle Clark.

2:16:14 Good, Donnie.

2:16:19 Ben and Prime have faced each other so

2:16:21 many times in Banana Ball.

2:16:24 >> Quickly an 02 count.

2:16:29 Primer staying alive. Got a couple trick

2:16:31 plays to his night. Does not have a hit.

2:16:35 Has also reached via fieldielder's

2:16:36 choice.

2:16:42 Peanut looking for six between the legs.

2:16:45 You can call it in. The sixth trick play

2:16:50 of the night for Peanut. The

2:16:52 firefighters lead it 16-10 in the trick

2:16:54 play column. They got an opportunity

2:16:56 here. They need to get a run across to

2:17:00 make it a tie game going into the ninth

2:17:03 as we dim the lights and play Lean on Me

2:17:06 here in Richmond.

2:17:16 Lean on me

2:17:18 when you're not

2:17:23 your friend.

2:17:25 I'll help you carry

2:17:28 on.

2:17:31 It won't be long

2:17:34 till I'm going to need

2:17:37 somebody to lean

2:17:40 on. You just call on me brother when you

2:17:46 need a hand. We all need somebody to

2:17:52 lean

2:17:53 on. I just might have problem that you

2:17:59 understand.

2:18:01 We all need somebody to lean

2:18:06 on.

2:18:14 >> 10,000 strong lighting their phones up.

2:18:19 in putting on for their city.

2:18:22 This is a beautiful encapsulation of

2:18:25 what Virginia is all about.

2:18:30 Right now, the firefighters

2:18:33 need to lean on each other a little bit

2:18:35 here and get something going. The guy on

2:18:37 the mound is Gage Vorhees. That name

2:18:41 should be so familiar.

2:18:44 He's a former firefighter,

2:18:48 >> turned banana, turned Indianapolis

2:18:51 clown. There you see the line score.

2:18:53 He's working with his team up by a

2:18:54 point. Clowns have hit a little bit

2:18:57 better than the firefighters, but the

2:18:59 fire and flames have fielded a little

2:19:01 trickier than the Clowns. That equalizer

2:19:04 point at this point, it would be

2:19:07 shocking if the Clouds could get it.

2:19:08 They'd need a lot to go their way. It's

2:19:10 a 16-10 advantage for the Fire and

2:19:13 Flames.

2:19:15 Right now, their biggest concern is

2:19:17 protecting their one-point lead. Should

2:19:18 they get the equalizer point? Great. Up

2:19:21 to bat,

2:19:22 Dakota McFaten, who's got himself couple

2:19:26 of singles tonight. Mason Maxwell, who's

2:19:29 got himself an RBI single, and then

2:19:31 South Treble with two strikeouts.

2:19:35 Right now is when the firefighters have

2:19:37 got to go. You get this here.

2:19:41 >> You go to the top of the ninth with the

2:19:44 tie game, but more importantly, you

2:19:45 would go to the bottom of the ninth with

2:19:47 the top of your order going. The

2:19:48 firefighters do have the golden at bat

2:19:51 in their back pocket, as do the clowns.

2:19:55 DMAT rockets one back above the press

2:19:58 box.

2:20:00 Do up for the Clowns in the top of the

2:20:02 ninth would be Chris Burgess, Eli

2:20:04 Payton, and Brian Dancer.

2:20:07 Firefighters could use it here as D-Max

2:20:09 swings over that one for strike two

2:20:21 and needed here.

2:20:25 Demac lifts one up high into the sky.

2:20:28 Joey Gray Jr. chasing it. Does he go for

2:20:30 it? No, he doesn't. That to me signals

2:20:33 that the Clowns are seating that

2:20:36 equalizer point. So DMAC retired for the

2:20:39 first time tonight,

2:20:44 but the Firefighters have likely just

2:20:45 denied the equalizer point. So this

2:20:47 should stay, if nothing else, a 3-2 game

2:20:50 going into the ninth as Mason stares at

2:20:52 one on the outside part of the black.

2:20:56 Mason 444 average over his last month.

2:20:59 He's got eight hits. Quickly finds

2:21:01 himself in an O2 hole. 474

2:21:05 on base percentage with a ball force

2:21:07 sprint. Everything has really come via

2:21:10 swinging the bat. Goes inside

2:21:13 this point. If you're the firefighters,

2:21:14 you will take any way you can to get him

2:21:17 on board.

2:21:21 Steal a first base, hit by pitch,

2:21:23 whatever you can take. Mason down the

2:21:26 line in left field. It'll go to the

2:21:29 bullpen.

2:21:33 Not much wind to speak of here.

2:21:39 He tried for an opposite backside hit.

2:21:42 Mason golf that one back to Gage. He

2:21:44 goes through the legs and that one

2:21:46 likely for the love of the game, but it

2:21:48 will count as a trick play for the

2:21:50 Clowns. And they're quickly two down for

2:21:52 Gage.

2:21:54 And now something special for the

2:21:56 hometown. Excuse me. The home state guy.

2:22:29 I come and I go tell me all the ways you

2:22:36 catch me or I go

2:22:38 and I go prove you

2:22:43 know

2:22:44 I go

2:22:47 like a

2:22:50 See you watching and you blow me a kiss.

2:22:54 It's your moment, baby. Don't let

2:22:59 me close

2:23:01 my lips. I come and I go

2:23:05 all the way. I'm not here.

2:23:08 Catch me or I go

2:23:11 and I go prove you got the rights.

2:23:17 Catch me.

2:23:23 >> It's fitting, isn't it? Houdini for the

2:23:26 magician.

2:23:28 There were fire and flames on the field.

2:23:31 Got to get those out of there. There are

2:23:32 cards on the field for South Tremble.

2:23:36 The hometown. I keep calling him

2:23:37 hometown. He's from Virginia Beach. The

2:23:38 home state boy comes back and tries to

2:23:41 live out a childhood dream here in

2:23:43 Virginia.

2:23:45 Oh, that was nice from Cage and Souy

2:23:47 something back.

2:23:57 >> He's got two KS tonight, but he rips

2:23:59 that one into right center field. South

2:24:02 Tremble

2:24:04 easily will race around with a double

2:24:06 and the inning winning run is aboard.

2:24:14 He's got a little walk up magic in him.

2:24:17 And now, how about this? Tiner Hugh

2:24:20 steps in. Likely his last shot to

2:24:24 continue

2:24:26 his 11game hitting streak. And if he

2:24:28 does, it probably wins the inning.

2:24:33 That might not do it. Burgess. And on

2:24:37 one pitch, the runner is stranded. The

2:24:40 firefighters can't get the point and

2:24:43 we're going to the ninth inning with a

2:24:46 Clowns 32 lead.

2:24:49 >> My goodness gracious.

2:24:52 >> Caz Egan is explaining the final inning

2:24:55 rules to these great fans in Virginia

2:24:57 officially. Now, the firefighters have

2:25:00 denied the equalizer points. So, it will

2:25:02 stay a 3-2 game going to the top of the

2:25:04 ninth.

2:25:06 You expect that Ben Dum will be the

2:25:08 pitcher here for the Fire and Flames.

2:25:11 >> All runs in this inning now are scored

2:25:14 as a point. So if the Clowns get a run,

2:25:17 it automatically goes on their ledger.

2:25:22 If the Firefighters though score two

2:25:24 runs and keep it at a 32 game going into

2:25:27 the bottom half, if they can score two

2:25:28 runs, the game is over. Sam TZ is here.

2:25:33 Oh,

2:25:38 I've got the lightning inside.

2:25:43 I'm like a titan that's rising on just

2:25:49 I'm stepping in.

2:25:52 There is no time to waste. I've got that

2:25:55 lightning inside me. This is how legends

2:25:59 are made. Oh.

2:26:03 Oh.

2:26:06 Oh.

2:26:08 This is how legends are made. Oh.

2:26:14 Oh.

2:26:17 Oh.

2:26:19 This is how legends are made.

2:26:22 >> Returning to the mound for the final

2:26:25 inning.

2:26:25 >> Indeed, it will be Ben Dum II.

2:26:33 He'll go into this frame needing a clean

2:26:36 sheet.

2:26:38 He fires his second one in a row off and

2:26:40 the firefighters have a shot in the

2:26:42 bottom of the ninth in just a one-point

2:26:44 game

2:26:45 as everybody is doing the Jeff Hardy

2:26:47 strut on the field from Nick Wilson to

2:26:49 Mason Maxwell BK. At this point, Matty

2:26:52 Warren should probably do it to join in

2:26:54 the frame.

2:26:57 Ben Dump comes back to his college town.

2:27:00 Can he give the Fighters a shot? It's

2:27:04 Chris Burgess, Eli Payton, and Brian

2:27:07 Dancer. The golden at bat is in the back

2:27:11 pocket of somebody for both teams.

2:27:22 Bruce,

2:27:24 >> last night it was Jackie Bradley Jr. who

2:27:26 was the golden at bat. Do they give it

2:27:27 to him again after a night of home runs?

2:27:30 Is that is a fire pitch for a strike or

2:27:34 do you give someone else the shot? Nico

2:27:35 Hollesizer has a couple of home runs in

2:27:37 his last two weekends. Does he get an

2:27:39 opportunity if that one goes outside?

2:27:41 Does Joe Gray Jr. get the bat in his

2:27:43 hands potentially?

2:27:45 Do we just send it up? Who knows? Dancro

2:27:48 hard shot to Tiny. Oh, he did the TRICK

2:27:50 PLAY FOR THE LOVE of the game.

2:27:55 Firefighters

2:27:57 flirting with a little 20 spot on the

2:28:00 trick play side. I probably won't, but

2:28:03 boy, that's a beautiful one from Tiny.

2:28:06 And now Eli Payton. Good pitch from Ben

2:28:10 outside of a little trouble from Loco

2:28:12 Beach

2:28:15 at FSU

2:28:17 and Little Rock. And then a solo home

2:28:19 run from Jaylen Vasquez. This guy has

2:28:21 regained his form. We saw on the world

2:28:23 tour last year trying to get Eli Pton to

2:28:26 jump at that one outside. He wouldn't

2:28:28 offer. Payton 0 for three tonight, but a

2:28:30 beautiful my duck appearance. Boy, that

2:28:32 was well placed.

2:28:42 Not one. Eli works it back full ball for

2:28:46 sprint. Not what Ben Dum wants to give

2:28:48 up.

2:28:53 Eli might have just swung a ball for

2:28:58 that one. Doesn't even get out of the

2:28:59 plane surface. So, we will stay right

2:29:02 here.

2:29:08 Payton hard shot towards Willie Carter.

2:29:13 >> Nobody hit I believe on that one. So,

2:29:14 we'll stay right here.

2:29:17 Cory Pie

2:29:19 >> looked like a running man going there.

2:29:21 Payton golf at that one into the seats.

2:29:24 Can the fans help Ben?

2:29:27 >> I don't believe so.

2:29:37 >> Ball force sprint.

2:29:40 >> Heck of an AB from Eli Payton who puts

2:29:42 on the brakes around first. Good ball

2:29:44 for Sprint defense there.

2:29:48 And now with a runner on, the lights are

2:29:51 out.

2:29:53 >> It's time.

2:29:56 >> Your golden batter, the Indianapolis

2:29:58 Clowns are invoking the golden batter

2:30:00 rule.

2:30:03 >> Stepping in for Brian Dancro IS YOUR

2:30:06 HOMETOWN HERO, Jackie Bradley Junior.

2:30:14 Last night, JBJ got the Golden AB shot

2:30:18 but struck out. Tonight, he's got a home

2:30:22 run in front of his home fans with a

2:30:24 runner on. It is Flash the Kid as the

2:30:27 designated runner for Payton. He's got a

2:30:29 shot to write that wrong.

2:30:32 He will not even go into a regular

2:30:35 batting stance. Make sure he takes

2:30:36 strike one.

2:30:38 He learned from me a little bit earlier

2:30:39 that Ben was the pitcher of the year in

2:30:41 this sport last year. So he knows how

2:30:43 important this at bat is.

2:30:48 His fourth opportunity with the Golden

2:30:50 Dome.

2:30:54 Zachary Bridges trying to pump him up. I

2:30:57 thought for a moment JBJ might have

2:30:59 sorted it that one instead. Hard shot by

2:31:02 Mason. Flash on his way to third. JBJ

2:31:05 aboard and the Golden Bat works again.

2:31:10 And that was in the place of Brian

2:31:12 Dancero.

2:31:17 So quickly right back up is Kirkland

2:31:20 Banks. But then Joe Gray Jr. and JBJ are

2:31:22 the next two do.

2:31:25 So a pinch runner, not really a pinch

2:31:27 runner, the guy he just batted for,

2:31:29 Brian Dancero is at first. And now

2:31:32 double play ball really needed for Ben

2:31:34 Dum. Runners on the corners just one

2:31:37 away.

2:31:40 Broken bat. Could it be two? PEA TO

2:31:43 SECOND. OUT IN TIME AT FIRST AND A RUN

2:31:46 scores

2:31:50 on a fieldielder's choice.

2:31:55 >> We have seen that a couple different

2:31:57 times tonight

2:32:00 where they had a chance at a double

2:32:01 play, but it was so slow.

2:32:04 And so a point scores for the Clowns to

2:32:07 make it 4-2. And that golden atbat

2:32:09 appearance from Jackie Bradley Jr. plays

2:32:12 even bigger now.

2:32:21 >> Joe Gray down the line. Foul.

2:32:28 >> It's a one-1 count. Remember, every run

2:32:30 that scores in this frame counts as a

2:32:32 point. So, the firefighters have now

2:32:35 given up a point back.

2:32:37 Ben right there. There have been a

2:32:40 couple of close calls that he wanted his

2:32:41 strikes. They weren't awarded. It

2:32:43 started with a great AB from Eli Peyton.

2:32:45 Runner is off and a swinging strike

2:32:47 three from Joe Gray Jr. So, it's just

2:32:51 one run of damage, but it results in a

2:32:54 point.

2:32:56 >> And the firefighters now with Dalton

2:32:58 Cornet, Logan Lacy, and Eric Jones Jr.

2:33:02 coming up. Have got to get points now.

2:33:07 If you take a look at the replay, it's a

2:33:08 beautiful splitter looking pitch from

2:33:11 Ben.

2:33:14 And now the firefighters need it more

2:33:16 than ever. They do have a golden bat in

2:33:19 their pocket, but you would be

2:33:21 hardressed to believe

2:33:24 that Dalton,

2:33:26 Logan, Eric, or Kaden would be golden at

2:33:30 bat for it right now.

2:33:32 You don't even have to think about that.

2:33:33 You've got you've got to find a way to

2:33:36 get him on base. Gage Vorhees had a

2:33:39 clean top or excuse me bottom of the

2:33:42 eighth. Gave up a double to South

2:33:44 Turble. That was all that was done.

2:33:50 As we go to the ninth inning, the Clowns

2:33:53 get an extra point. Basically what the

2:33:55 equalizer point could have been. They

2:33:57 get it right back

2:34:00 as the calendar crew flexes.

2:34:04 You look at that man right there. He has

2:34:06 been a hero in pressure moments. The

2:34:08 king of walk-offs has five of them to

2:34:12 his name here this season. But now they

2:34:14 use him as the lead off hitter and

2:34:16 they've got to get him on.

2:34:20 Gage Vorhees gave up a nine run frame to

2:34:22 the firefighters back in Montgomery.

2:34:26 Right now, they need something like it

2:34:28 again. They need two to four showdowns

2:34:30 and three to win. The clowns have

2:34:33 absolutely found so many ways to get

2:34:35 kicked in the guts this year.

2:34:38 Can the fire and flames

2:34:40 get one more on them or do they split

2:34:44 the series here in Richmond thanks to

2:34:46 Jackie Bradley Jr.? A two-run blast in

2:34:50 the top of the fifth,

2:34:53 giving the Clowns a lead they have not

2:34:54 surrendered since. Here we go.

2:34:58 >> Dalton looks at one outside.

2:35:01 >> Gage was on the bump when DC3 walked it

2:35:03 off in Greenville.

2:35:05 >> He'll need another one. That's not going

2:35:07 to help him down the line. Payton snags

2:35:11 it out one.

2:35:20 >> There have been too many moments like

2:35:22 that tonight where the firefighters just

2:35:23 cannot find the swings. And now with one

2:35:26 down, Showtime would be a heck of an

2:35:28 opportunity to grab his first appearance

2:35:31 on the bags via hit.

2:35:35 Will he go? No, he doesn't. Thought

2:35:37 about the steal of first. We saw it a

2:35:39 couple times last weekend. He won't try

2:35:41 it here.

2:35:46 Everybody waiting with baited breath.

2:35:52 10

2:35:54 Logan foul.

2:36:04 The one-1 from Gage.

2:36:07 Lacy held it back

2:36:12 again. You take any way to get him on

2:36:14 base. Gage take any way to get him out

2:36:18 >> inside. Ball force sprint certainly

2:36:20 helps.

2:36:31 Lacy swing and miss off the face mask of

2:36:33 Chris Burgess. Gets himself a moment

2:36:40 and a full count. Take a look at the

2:36:42 replay. Ouch.

2:36:46 That'll ring your ears.

2:36:48 Joe Lidle still not healthy enough to

2:36:50 play tonight. Otherwise, there could be

2:36:53 a backup catcher situation as we would

2:36:55 see it. Chris Bur's going to stay on.

2:36:59 Lacy high into the skies in right field.

2:37:02 Carell Kirkland. Joe Gray chasing two

2:37:05 away.

2:37:14 So, if they're going to find some light

2:37:16 here, they got to get it to Peanut. And

2:37:18 that means Eric Jones Jr., a man who has

2:37:20 gotten

2:37:21 >> on tonight via a ball force sprint, but

2:37:24 has also been called out by the fans,

2:37:26 has to find something here. Anything to

2:37:30 get on.

2:37:35 EJ's month of April was pristine.

2:37:39 He needs to carry it over here.

2:37:41 It's a good pitch from Gage.

2:37:44 >> EJ has had time catching this guy with

2:37:46 the Savannah Bananas. Can he predict

2:37:49 what he's going to throw? He won't swing

2:37:50 there.

2:37:58 Too low. Ball three.

2:38:01 We just saw Gage get out of a ball for

2:38:03 sprint opportunity. Can he do it here?

2:38:08 Yes, he can. WHAT A PLAY FROM ELI IN

2:38:10 THIRD AND THE Clowns win on an electric

2:38:14 stop by Eli.

2:38:18 42 the final and the Clowns salvage a

2:38:21 split in Richmond.

2:38:37 That is not a trick play, but it is one

2:38:40 of the most impressive defensive plays

2:38:42 you'll see. It's why they call it the

2:38:44 hot corner. And Eli Payton down to the

2:38:47 hips, throws it over to Prime, and the

2:38:49 Clowns will salvage a series here.

2:38:53 Firefighters take game one.

2:38:56 The Clowns will take game two.

2:39:02 They truly do silence what has been an

2:39:05 effective and explosive firefighter

2:39:07 offense.

2:39:11 >> Get just a few more bits of hitting when

2:39:13 they need it.

2:39:15 >> And the Indianapolis Clowns have their

2:39:17 sixth win

2:39:19 >> in 2026.

2:39:26 Wonder.

2:39:51 What a night for the Indianapolis Clouds

2:39:54 after the Firefighters

2:39:57 control most of game one.

2:40:00 >> They go with a real long rotation on the

2:40:03 bump and it works to perfection. They

2:40:05 limit the firefighters to five runs and

2:40:07 seven hits. They get seven runs of their

2:40:09 own, nine hits of their own. And even

2:40:11 though they don't win the trip play

2:40:12 equalizer point, a crucial point in the

2:40:16 ninth inning

2:40:18 gives enough separation to give Gage

2:40:20 four he's just a little bit of breathing

2:40:22 room.

2:40:24 >> And they take out the firefighters

2:40:29 >> to go to six and 10 on the year. The

2:40:31 firefighters will fall to 9 and seven.

2:40:34 They'll stay in that second spot in the

2:40:36 Banana Ball Championship League

2:40:37 standings,

2:40:39 but it will be a much tougher battle

2:40:41 next week against the Coconuts, who are

2:40:43 also racing for that second spot.

2:40:44 Tonight, the guy who we all want to hear

2:40:47 from is the guy who calls this place his

2:40:49 hometown. Jackie Bradley Jr. is with

2:40:51 Mattie Warren.

2:40:52 >> Hey, Zach. Thank you so much. Jackie

2:40:54 Bradley Jr. undoubtedly our showman of

2:40:56 the night. Now, we're going to take a

2:40:58 little walk while we talk cuz I think we

2:40:59 got some people to go say hi to. So,

2:41:00 we're going to head down there. But back

2:41:03 in your hometown, that two-run shot that

2:41:06 put the Clowns up in a lead that you

2:41:08 guys did not give up after that. Where

2:41:10 does that rank for you

2:41:12 in and memorable moments in your career?

2:41:14 >> It's pretty special. It's not often you

2:41:16 get to come home and play in front of a

2:41:19 hometown crowd and then to, you know, do

2:41:21 something as special as that. And to

2:41:23 pull off the win tonight, it was a team

2:41:25 effort and I'm glad I'm a part of it.

2:41:28 Yeah, the offense came out so hot

2:41:30 tonight and I know you guys obviously

2:41:31 saw the firefighters last weekend, see

2:41:33 the firefighters again last night. What

2:41:36 is kind of the adjustment that happens

2:41:38 to turn around from last night into

2:41:40 today to have the offensive showing that

2:41:41 you had?

2:41:42 >> Honestly, I think just continue to trust

2:41:43 in what we've been working on. Um,

2:41:45 obviously it's you get caught up in when

2:41:48 things don't go your way, but you got to

2:41:50 continue to put the work in and continue

2:41:53 to know that what you're doing is going

2:41:56 to work out. and that tonight was one of

2:41:57 those nights.

2:41:58 >> Now, to have as many people as you had

2:42:00 here tonight, first of all, how many

2:42:02 people did you have here this weekend?

2:42:04 And what did it mean to be able to look

2:42:06 into the stands, have your mom be so

2:42:07 much a part of that home run moment for

2:42:10 you in your hometown?

2:42:11 >> Uh, I think I had over a hundred 100

2:42:14 friends and family in town. But that's

2:42:17 the way I rather have it. Especially

2:42:19 being so close to home, them not being

2:42:21 able to, you know, see me too often

2:42:23 because I think the closest games I

2:42:25 typically would play was either

2:42:26 Baltimore or Washington. So to play in

2:42:29 the backyard, it's pretty special and

2:42:31 I'm I'm glad that they're here

2:42:32 supporting me.

2:42:32 >> All right. Now, I got one more question

2:42:34 for you really quick. So Isaiah, he's 10

2:42:36 at Banana Ball backstage. He would like

2:42:37 to know, "What's your favorite trick

2:42:39 play that's ever been pulled in Banana

2:42:41 Ball?"

2:42:42 >> Favorite trick play that's ever been I

2:42:44 don't know. Um, Dr. Meadows and Rex had

2:42:47 that backflip trip pretty locked down.

2:42:49 That's pretty pretty cool. And I

2:42:51 introduced the the Naruto this year. So,

2:42:53 we're going to be getting more more of

2:42:55 that here pretty soon.

2:42:56 >> Excited to see it. Well, hey, Jackie,

2:42:57 let's head on over here. Get your family

2:42:59 on over, Jackie. Go celebrate them with

2:43:01 them. Congrats.

2:43:05 >> What a night for the Commonwealth kid.

2:43:09 The Richmond product celebrates with his

2:43:12 mother Alfredo and gets an opportunity

2:43:15 to celebrate a Clowns win as well.

2:43:18 Probably wouldn't have felt right here

2:43:20 in Richmond without the Clowns getting a

2:43:21 win for their hometown guy. And tonight,

2:43:25 the fans who watched him grow up in the

2:43:28 sport of baseball, see him return in the

2:43:31 sport of banana ball and watch him put

2:43:34 on a show.

2:43:36 gets the hat, tip, drill, trick, play

2:43:38 onto his resume. The play of the night

2:43:41 will be right here. Well, maybe not

2:43:43 right here. That's a heck of a single

2:43:44 though.

2:43:46 But the play of the night comes in the

2:43:48 fifth inning when he gets one right off

2:43:51 the end of the bat

2:43:53 and just enough, maybe 321 ft, but it

2:43:57 was enough to do the job. Get it over

2:44:00 Lamar Sparks head. Two-run blast, his

2:44:02 fourth of the year. And the Richmond kid

2:44:06 comes home, hits a home run, gets a

2:44:08 golden atbat opportunity, and puts on a

2:44:10 crucial runner that would put more

2:44:12 pressure on the firefighters. Tonight,

2:44:14 it was just JBJ's night. You dip your

2:44:16 cap to him.

2:44:18 He's the showman of the night for good

2:44:19 reason. Three for four with a golden

2:44:21 atbat appearance. Home run, two-run home

2:44:23 run, two singles, a trio of RBI.

2:44:28 Just a great night for JBJ. And you look

2:44:32 at what the Clowns were able to do.

2:44:34 Really, they just induced a lot of soft

2:44:36 contact. Not a ton of strikeouts for the

2:44:38 firefighters tonight. Just five against

2:44:40 the firefighter batters. But when the

2:44:42 Clowns were on the mound, as we welcome

2:44:44 you back up here inside the dispatch

2:44:46 center, boy, they just induced some

2:44:48 really tough swings from the

2:44:50 firefighters. And that's something that

2:44:51 a lot of teams haven't really been able

2:44:52 to accomplish this year. For the fire

2:44:54 and flames, you look at the positives of

2:44:56 the 17 trick plays, which is a massive

2:44:58 number. You look at the fact that you're

2:45:00 able to kind of claw your way back into

2:45:01 the game, but few too many innings where

2:45:03 you had runners in scoring position. And

2:45:05 that's one of the things they do so

2:45:06 well. Well above 400 average or average

2:45:08 with runners in scoring position. But

2:45:10 tonight, firefighters just unable to

2:45:12 really get that one key hit to turn an

2:45:14 inning around and potentially turn the

2:45:16 game back into their favor. But for the

2:45:18 Indianapolis Clowns, that's a heck of a

2:45:19 way to respond after last night where

2:45:21 David Griffin gave up two walk-off

2:45:23 homers in back-to-back frames. The

2:45:24 firefighters win it 5-2. They come back

2:45:27 tonight and the Clowns win it 4-2. They

2:45:29 go six and 10 now on the year. The

2:45:30 firefighters fall to 9 and seven.

2:45:32 They'll be in Witchah, Kansas next week

2:45:34 facing the Loco Beach Coconuts. The

2:45:36 Indianapolis Clowns will face the Texas

2:45:38 Tailgator next week in a massive series.

2:45:41 Now, between a team still very much

2:45:43 finding its way and a team and the

2:45:46 Firefighters that still are rewriting

2:45:47 its history books. And again, the next

2:45:49 time the Firefighters win will be their

2:45:51 10th win. It'll be the first time they

2:45:52 reach double digits. It'll be the first.

2:45:54 They'll tie their win marks from 2024

2:45:57 and 2025 combined. But tonight belongs

2:45:59 to the Clowns here in the Commonwealth's

2:46:01 capital, Richmond, Virginia. It has been

2:46:03 a pleasure being with you here on the

2:46:18 Indianapolis Clowns next weekend. Our

2:46:20 great crew led by the tremendous

2:46:41 spending a weekend in the Commonwealth

2:46:42 with me right here in the Firefighters

2:46:45 YouTube page. We'll see you next week in

2:46:47 Witchah. The Clouds get the win tonight.
