0:12 >> Welcome in to Banana Ball live on the

0:15 CW. [music]

0:16 For a second straight weekend, we are

0:18 blessed to be able to bring you a rubber

0:20 game as the Savannah Bananas and the

0:23 Loco Beach Coconut's have had two epic

0:25 battles. The Bananas taking game one in

0:28 showdown tiebreaker on Thursday and the

0:31 Coconut's down to their final strike

0:34 last night evening the series thanks to

0:36 the heroics of Ben Parker. Tonight Loco

0:39 Beach looks to make it four straight

0:41 series victories while Savannah tries to

0:44 defend home turf and win their first

0:46 series in over a month. And it is a

0:49 gorgeous evening for it here in the

0:51 hostess city of the south as we welcome

0:54 you inside with the statistical savant

0:57 of Banana Ball Josh Tolewski. I am Biko.

0:59 Galo, thank you so much for spending

1:01 your Saturday night with us here in

1:03 virtual Banana Land. We've had two

1:05 fantastic games so far this weekend. The

1:08 stage is set for this finale. And you

1:09 saw exactly why the Coconut's have

1:11 earned that nickname the comeback

1:13 Coconut's throughout this season. The

1:15 go-ahead home run from Ben Parker

1:17 helping them win their first ever game

1:19 against the Bananas last night. And now

1:21 they're not just hunting a second

1:23 straight win against the Nanners.

1:25 They're trying to earn their first ever

1:27 series victory against Banana Ball's

1:29 best. It all hangs in the balance

1:31 tonight. And it's one thing to talk

1:33 about it, a whole 'nother to get to see

1:35 it happen. So, we jump back to Thursday

1:37 night. Bananas were up one nothing in

1:39 the second inning when J.D. Erso picked

1:41 a fantastic time for his first career

1:43 extra base hit driving in Gideon Antell

1:46 and that would end up evening up the

1:47 score with Ben Parker putting the

1:49 pressure on the very next inning.

1:51 Coconut's a nice counter punch 2-1

1:53 bottom of the fifth bases chucked and

1:56 Jackson Olson putting the ball in play.

1:57 Urso's only play was at the dish and

2:00 that one not scooped up by Ashby Vining.

2:02 So, 2-2 top of the sixth. Tanner Allen

2:05 helping the Coconuts put up a crooked

2:07 number. A six-run frame to jump back

2:09 [music] out in front and THEN HOW ABOUT

2:11 THE TRICK PLAY? GUNNED DOWN TO SECOND,

2:14 BILL LEROY to take care of Armani

2:16 Henderson. The trick play would loom

2:17 very large because this one from Urso

2:20 tied the game in trick plays and then an

2:21 errant throw from Shat Tonye would walk

2:24 the inning off for the Bananas

2:25 >> to tie it all up. Yeah, it was absolute

2:27 madness and then you saw C.J. Williams

2:29 facing off against Kyle Jackson. How

2:31 about his battery mate, Ashby Vining,

2:34 gunning down J.T. Sakolov trying to

2:37 swipe second base, SENDING US THE

2:39 SHOWDOWN TIEBREAKERS and it was Danny

2:41 Hasley getting his seventh showdown

2:44 shutdown of the season, pacing all

2:46 pitchers in banana ball this season.

2:49 Alexiades placing that tag on Tanner

2:51 Allen and after Kyle Jackson worked the

2:53 ball for sprint to put Sakolov on second

2:56 base. He's got the game-winning knock

2:58 that got the Bananas a 4-3 victory on

3:02 Thursday night.

3:03 >> Yeah, a wild one for the Nanners taking

3:06 game one and then an evening ago, it was

3:09 [music] just as good. Coconuts striking

3:11 first, a three-run top of the first,

3:13 couple passed balls. It ended up being

3:15 three unearned runs against Tristan

3:17 Levec. Coconuts capitalizing on some

3:20 shotty defense from the Bananas and then

3:22 the counter punch. Reese Alexiades, his

3:25 second walk-off in as many nights as he

3:27 doubles off his former roommate, Andy

3:29 Archer.

3:29 >> Yeah, Alexiades has had such a big

3:31 series for the Nanners and you saw his

3:33 impact yet again. The patience from

3:35 Super Reese paying off to put the

3:37 Bananas up 2-1 in the ball game after

3:40 six innings [music] of play. And J.T.

3:42 Sakolov having a little fun doing the

3:44 Coconut scoring celebration. THEN WITH

3:46 THE NIGHT, BEN PARKER DOWN TO HIS LAST

3:49 STRIKE, HE GOES YA YA AGAINST JACOB

3:52 AZEYAR A GO AHEAD two run home run and

3:56 his first career home run at that. It

3:59 couldn't have come at a better time for

4:01 Pumps.

4:02 >> Yeah, showing off that professional

4:04 bodybuilding body of Mr. Benny Pumps and

4:08 the acrobatics as well as CJ Williams

4:10 getting some help from his catcher in

4:12 the ninth inning for a second straight

4:14 night vining with the scoop. Originally

4:16 JT Sokolov called safe at second base

4:20 but on further review the umpires said

4:22 that [music] the glove of Sal Jacobo

4:24 just barely got on Sokolov before the

4:27 hands touched the bag. The Bananas

4:29 faithful not thrilled but the Coconuts

4:32 victorious and a little while ago AJ

4:34 Swiatek caught up with Ben Parker.

4:38 This is last night's superhero Ben

4:40 Parker. I'm AJ Swiatek. Ben, last night

4:42 a ball four sprint ties the game. It's a

4:44 full count no outs to give. What was

4:46 your approach at the plate when you hit

4:47 the home run? I was just in react mode.

4:50 I mean anything over the plate I was

4:51 going to, you know, swing at give it an

4:52 offer. Can't really go down looking

4:54 there in that situation. It's way too

4:55 big so yeah, it's kind of one of those

4:57 just oh shoot there it is and then hope

4:59 you get the bat to it and I did and it

5:02 worked out. What advice would you give

5:04 to all the aspiring Ben Parkers at home?

5:06 How do you get a physique like this?

5:08 Lots and lots of lifting. Like pretty

5:09 much I haven't missed a week in maybe

5:11 seven years.

5:13 Um so just lifting a lot, eating right,

5:14 making the right decisions, getting your

5:16 sleep in. It's pretty simple you just

5:17 got to do

5:19 boring stuff for a long period of time

5:21 and it'll pay off. I'm going to go out

5:22 on a limb and say it's probably not that

5:24 simple to get this big, this naturally

5:26 big but Ben, last question for you. Do

5:29 you think all that time in the gym

5:30 finally paid off on that home run or

5:32 what? The first one of the year, how did

5:33 it feel? Yeah, I mean it took long

5:35 enough. I was starting to think that

5:36 people would think these are fake cuz I

5:38 do hit the ball like I'm 100 lbs you

5:40 know, the backside singles guy but no,

5:41 last night was awesome. I'm just going

5:43 to get that out of the way and kind of

5:44 just, you know, let it all out there. Um

5:47 and yeah, it was super timely and I

5:49 couldn't draw it up better than that.

5:50 So, it was well worth the wait. Couldn't

5:52 have handpicked a better time for his

5:54 first home run. Ben Parker and the

5:55 Noconuts look for a fourth straight

5:57 series win after this.

6:07 >> [music]

6:14 [music]

6:19 >> THAT'S RIGHT, GRAYSON STADIUM. EVERYBODY

6:22 OUT OF YOUR SEATS AND ON

6:24 >> [screaming]

6:24 >> YOUR FEET because it's time to meet YOUR

6:30 SAVANNAH BANANAS!

6:59 CLAP THOSE HANDS. Clap those hands. Clap

7:03 those hands.

7:26 Clap those hands.

7:28 Clap those hands. Clap those hands.

8:09 >> Banana Ball is the fastest and most

8:11 entertaining show in sports and the 11

8:14 rules guarantee the most fans first

8:16 experience every second. Unbelievable!

8:19 Welcome to THE BANANA BALL CHAMPIONSHIP

8:21 LEAGUE. Rule number one, win the inning,

8:24 win the point. The team that scores the

8:26 most runs in an inning wins the point.

8:28 >> IT'S A WALK-OFF WINNER!

8:31 >> [cheering]

8:32 >> OH MY GOODNESS! With the equalizer

8:34 point, trick plays provide the away team

8:37 an opportunity to earn a point going

8:39 into the final inning.

8:40 And in the final inning, every run

8:42 counts as a point.

8:44 Rule number two, Banana Ball has a

8:46 2-hour time limit guaranteeing that

8:49 every game is fast-paced and

8:51 action-packed.

8:52 Rule number three, no stepping out of

8:54 the batter's box. If you do, it will

8:56 result in a strike.

8:57 >> Max stepped out of the box and because

8:59 he stepped out of the box, that's it.

9:01 Rule number four, no bunting cuz bunting

9:04 [music]

9:04 sucks. If you bunt, you'll be thrown out

9:07 of the game. Rule number five, batters

9:09 can steal first base. Ball three, CAN HE

9:11 TAKE IT OFF FOR FIRST THROW FROM LEROY?

9:14 IN TIME! RULE NUMBER SIX, there's no

9:17 walks. Walks are ball four sprints. The

9:20 batter can advance as far as they want

9:22 until every position player touches the

9:24 ball.

9:25 >> No defenders have touched the Banana

9:27 Ball. IT IS A FOUR-BASE SPRINT TO OPEN

9:30 UP THE BALL GAME. Rule number seven,

9:33 no mound visits.

9:35 Nope.

9:36 Rule number eight, foul balls caught by

9:38 a fan count as an out.

9:46 Rule number nine, the showdowns. In

9:49 showdowns, the best of the best face off

9:51 [music] in the biggest moment. One

9:53 hitter versus one pitcher with one

9:55 fielder behind him. And the hitter has

9:57 to score.

10:03 Rule number 10, the banana ball

10:04 challenge rule gives the coaches and you

10:07 the fans a chance to impact a call on

10:09 the field.

10:11 Rule number 11, the golden batter. Once

10:14 a game, each team can give any player an

10:16 at bat regardless of the lineup. This

10:18 offers the biggest matchups on the

10:20 biggest stage.

10:25 >> [screaming]

10:28 [cheering]

10:31 [screaming]

10:32 >> And those are the rules of banana ball.

10:39 Thank you very much, Jesse. And

10:40 congratulations to Corey Day for his

10:42 victory at Dover. And welcome in

10:45 everybody here to banana ball live on

10:47 the CW. We are zooming in on rule number

10:51 eight here in banana ball because it

10:53 loomed large last night. What is rule

10:55 eight all about? It is the fan

10:57 challenge. One fan pregame is given the

10:59 power to gain this fan challenge. And

11:02 it's only once that they can use it in

11:04 the game. The representative can

11:05 challenge a play if they're successful.

11:07 It doesn't matter. They do not get to

11:09 keep it like the teams do. And the fans

11:12 this year, they're nearly batting 500.

11:14 Yeah, and you saw the ninth fan

11:16 challenge that was overturned a call,

11:18 and it loomed incredibly large, THE

11:19 LARGEST EVER IN BANANA ball's history.

11:23 As in the final inning of play, it was

11:26 JT Sockwell, the designated runner for

11:29 the Savannah Bananas, attempting to

11:31 slide second base. Call on the field was

11:33 safe and the Coconut's fan in the stands

11:37 decided to use her challenge and it

11:39 wound up getting overturned on the field

11:42 to lead Loco Beach to their first ever

11:45 win against the Savannah Savannah

11:47 Bananas. And Loco Beach, they were

11:49 imploring the fans to utilize that

11:51 challenge. Excellent work by them in a

11:54 crazy impact on the final score.

11:56 Heartbreak for the Bananas fans and the

11:59 Loco Beach faithful got to rejoice.

12:02 Speaking of Loco Beach, we're going to

12:03 see those Coconuts when we come back.

12:16 back to the very beginning in 2016.

12:19 And since that fateful day

12:22 it has brought nothing

12:25 but good luck

12:26 and good fortune for our Savannah

12:29 Bananas.

12:30 That's right, ladies and gentlemen, it's

12:32 time to meet tonight's BANANA BABY.

12:36 [screaming]

12:38 AND THIS

12:39 IS WAYLON.

12:41 He is 5 months old, 16 lbs,

12:46 and really enjoying his pacifier.

12:53 >> [screaming]

12:53 >> Keep the spirit fingers going.

12:57 Keep the good vibes coming.

13:00 And Savannah, Georgia, make some noise

13:03 one more time for our Banana Baby,

13:07 WAYLON.

13:11 FANS, IT'S TIME TO GET LOCO.

13:16 BRINGING THE SUNRISE, THE TAN LINES, the

13:19 high fives, and the GOOD VIBES.

13:22 IT'S TIME to go crazy

13:26 for the

13:27 Loco

13:28 Beach

13:58 >> [music]

14:45 >> Make me go loco, loco, make me go loco.

15:05 Welcome back to Savannah, Georgia. It's

15:07 time to meet these Loco Beach Cocos.

15:28 >> [music]

15:42 [music]

15:47 [music]

15:50 >> Coconut's boogying here in Savannah and

15:54 last [music] night in Victory Field

15:57 the Indianapolis Clowns had themselves

16:00 the first game of their first ever

16:03 headliner series.

16:05 As special a night as we have ever had

16:07 in Banana Ball history. It's the first

16:09 Indianapolis Clowns home series since

16:11 1989 and getting to honor legends like

16:14 Mamie Johnson [music] and Toni Stone

16:16 with our players, coaches, and wonderful

16:18 hosts Brandon and Jerious all teaming up

16:20 to tell the story of the original

16:22 Indianapolis Clowns. [music]

16:24 Well, I'll tell you what, it set the

16:25 stage for a heck of a ballgame and

16:28 Garrett Delano stole the show early.

16:31 Nine strikeouts across five innings with

16:33 just one earned run. That is four

16:35 straight fantastic outings for a Banana

16:37 Ball legend.

16:38 >> And a new career high in strikeouts for

16:40 Garrett Delano as well. But the Clowns

16:42 proved their merits on the diamond as

16:45 well. You saw the trickery FROM MATT

16:47 WALL FLIPPING OFF THE BARREL and Brian

16:49 Dances made an unreal sliding grab down

16:52 the left field line. After that, Peanut

16:55 the elephant debuted for the very first

16:57 time, the world's only mascot that

17:00 pitches in ballgames. And what DO YOU

17:02 KNOW? SIX PITCHES FROM PEANUT, HE

17:04 INDUCED THE OUT and the trick play. And

17:07 then you know what? These Clowns, they

17:09 can mash, too. Correlle Prime, the

17:11 former Rockies farmhand, launched a

17:14 walk-off home run the night for

17:16 Indianapolis. All his teammates fired

17:19 up, but when things were all said and

17:21 done, it was Peter Holden and the Party

17:24 Animals who were able to spoil the fun

17:26 and grab a 6-2 victory in Victory Field.

17:30 >> And I'll tell you what, it was a 3-2

17:32 game going to that ninth inning where

17:33 the Party Animals rallied. Every run

17:35 scored counts as a point in the ninth.

17:37 [music] That's why it looks like a

17:38 slightly lopsided victory, but that

17:41 thing was really tight until the very

17:43 end of it. And let's get a look at what

17:45 we have on [music] the docket tonight

17:47 here in Banana Land. Back-to-back

17:49 evenings with a triple header right here

17:52 on the CW and the Bananas YouTube.

17:54 That's where you get this Coconuts

17:56 versus Bananas

17:56 >> [music]

17:56 >> Bananas finale of the three-game set at

17:59 the exact same time on the Clowns

18:01 YouTube channel. You get to see the

18:03 finale of their two-game set with the

18:04 Party Animals. And at 9:00 p.m. Eastern

18:06 from El Paso on the Tailgaters YouTube

18:09 channel. That's the end of another

18:10 two-game set. Tailgaters with the

18:12 victory over the Firefighters last

18:13 night.

18:14 >> Yes, the Clowns certainly [music]

18:15 looking for revenge in Indianapolis.

18:17 Again, they played really good ball last

18:19 night for the most part. Just had some

18:21 troubles in the final inning of play.

18:23 Meanwhile, the Firefighters and

18:24 Tailgaters have matched up very evenly

18:27 this series. We'll see if Kyle Martin

18:29 goes deep yet again for Texas as that

18:32 will be a big game. And for more Banana

18:36 Ball, we'll be right back here on the

18:38 CW.

18:53 Is it GOING TO BE FAIR? IT'S OPEN. BEN

18:56 PUMPS PARKER KICKS THE BALL ACROSS THE

18:58 FIELD.

19:01 HE'S ON HIS WAY TO SECOND BASE.

19:03 CHEER HIM ON, LADIES [screaming] AND

19:04 GENTLEMEN.

19:07 HE'S ROUNDED FIRST.

19:09 HE'S ROUNDING SECOND.

19:12 AT A BLAZING SPEED.

19:14 THEY'RE SHOOTING HIM WITH A WATER GUN.

19:16 WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE?

19:19 THEY CAN'T GET A HANDLE ON THE BALL.

19:21 HE'S ROUNDED THIRD BASE.

19:23 HE'S HEADED TO THE PLATE.

19:25 ZANE'S LOOKING AROUND. OH MY GOODNESS.

19:29 HERE COMES THE THROW HOME. [screaming]

19:31 NOT IN TIME.

19:43 ALL RIGHT, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, it's

19:45 now time to learn the rules of our game.

19:49 The name of the game is Banana Ball. And

19:51 in Banana Ball, we have 11 rules. Rule

19:55 number one, every inning counts. You win

19:57 the inning, you get a point. How do you

19:59 win the inning? Score more runs than the

20:01 other team. The final inning counts the

20:03 most, where [music] every run counts for

20:05 a point. And if the visiting team has

20:08 more trick plays than the home team when

20:10 we get to the final inning, they will

20:12 receive an equalizer point. Rule number

20:14 two, we have nine innings or a two-hour

20:17 time limit, unless Rule number three, if

20:20 we are tied, it will [music] force a

20:22 one-on-one showdown tiebreaker. One

20:24 hitter versus one pitcher with one

20:27 fielder. Rule number four, there is no

20:30 bunting because bunting sucks. If you

20:34 bunt, you are thrown out of the game.

20:45 Welcome back to Banana Ball live on the

20:47 CW from historic Grayson Stadium here in

20:51 Savannah, Georgia. Finale of this

20:53 three-game set between the Bananas and

20:55 Coconuts. And last night, a perfect

20:57 inning of work from Kelsey Whitmore. For

21:00 more on that, let's get it to Sam

21:01 Baughman.

21:04 Hey guys, I'm here with the Savannah

21:05 Banana who now has the best MPI for

21:07 their team on the year and

21:09 uh

21:10 Tristan, listen, I had fun talking with

21:11 you last night, but it's not you

21:13 anymore, man. Nothing personal. Of

21:14 course, it's Kelsie Whitmore. Yeah, blow

21:16 a kiss. Bye, Tristan. 138 last night,

21:19 best for the year for the Bananas. You

21:21 get the full inning. Kelsie, are you

21:22 thinking going in, I want to blow

21:24 Tristan away, get the best MPI? No,

21:27 honestly not at all. I'm just trying to

21:29 compete every single pitch. Uh

21:31 I honestly black out every time I go out

21:33 there.

21:34 And I just try to compete, like I said,

21:35 just you know, yesterday was a really

21:37 like head-on-head game. And so, I was

21:39 just trying to do what I could to to

21:41 help the boys like get the win. And

21:43 unfortunately, we didn't, but we put up

21:45 a really good game. Well, you may have

21:46 blacked out, but I remember pretty well.

21:48 We had a strikeout on the first one.

21:50 You're wrapping up with a rack flip. I

21:52 mean, that's Banana Ball at its purest.

21:53 What's it say that your team said, hey,

21:54 we've seen you do the third of an

21:56 inning?

21:57 Let's extend it. Let's go full inning.

21:58 Yeah, I mean, like I've been ready for

22:00 it, and I'll stay ready for it. And

22:02 whatever, you know, my team asks for me

22:04 to do, and whatever job I'm I'm put to

22:06 task, I'm going to be the best version

22:07 of myself.

22:09 And I'm keep being myself right here.

22:11 That's what I'm going to keep doing. And

22:12 so, that's all That's all that matters

22:14 right there.

22:15 She's just got to be her, guys, and

22:16 that's

22:17 more than good enough. Kelsie Whitmore,

22:19 what a night she had. We got so much

22:21 more Banana Ball action coming up. Don't

22:23 you dare go anywhere. You might miss

22:25 this.

22:29 >> [music]

22:40 >> All right, fans, let's get those hands

22:42 clapping. Put them together. It's time

22:44 to meet the cast of the Savannah

22:46 Bananas. I

22:47 am your chief potassium enthusiast. My

22:49 name is the Young Professor Mat Grayfer.

22:52 Let's meet the rest of the crew.

22:54 Carrying an art tune from coast to

22:55 coast, give it up for the WORLD-FAMOUS

22:58 BANANA BAND.

23:03 SHE IS HER ROYAL majesty of Bananaland.

23:07 Give it up for Princess Potassia.

23:11 They are the greatest dad bod cheer

23:13 squad to ever walk across God's green

23:15 earth. Give it up FOR THE BANANA

23:20 NANAS.

23:21 THEY ARE America's sweethearts.

23:25 Give it up for our BELOVED BANANA NANAS.

23:31 GO, GIRLS.

23:33 He is our resident bat trickster, Mr.

23:35 Alex Ziggy Ziegler.

23:38 The world's strongest banana and the

23:40 king of Potassia. It's Split.

23:45 And standing 10 ft 9 in tall, he towers

23:49 above them all, Dakota

23:52 Stilts

23:54 O'Britton.

23:56 And finally, the greatest dancing first

23:59 and third base coach to ever do it, give

24:01 it UP FOR MACEO.

24:05 THE CAST OF YOUR Savannah Bananas.

24:10 All right, Banana Nation. The cast is

24:12 ready. The players are ready. But now

24:15 it's time for you to get ready. And here

24:19 to help

24:34 Welcome back to our gorgeous

24:36 100-year-old ballpark, historic Grayson

24:38 Stadium in the city by the sea,

24:42 Savannah, Georgia.

24:43 Finale of this three-game set between

24:46 the Savannah Bananas

24:48 and the rookie franchise, the Loco Beach

24:50 Coconuts. This is one of three games

24:53 going on here the inaugural season of

24:55 the Banana Ball Championship League, and

24:57 how about

24:59 the balance we have in our sport? Much

25:01 like the balance between the Jedi and

25:03 the Sith in the Star Wars universe,

25:05 you've got the Bananas at 13 and 7 on

25:07 top, the exact inverse [music] record,

25:09 the Clowns at the bottom, Tailgaters in

25:11 second, the Party Animals are their

25:12 inverse, and then in the middle,

25:14 Firefighters and Coconuts both even at

25:15 .500. I mean, it's just been such a fun

25:18 Banana Ball Championship League season

25:20 so far, and you've seen the Texas

25:22 Tailgaters with help [music] from that

25:24 Banana Ball open in mid-April. They have

25:26 already clinched a playoff spot come

25:29 October. So, that [music] has been huge

25:30 for the Tailgaters, but they're still

25:32 chasing that number one overall record

25:35 this season, and currently just two

25:37 games behind the Savannah Bananas. We

25:40 are fired up up here. The crowd is riled

25:42 up as well. Time to get fired up at

25:44 home. Here's the Young Professor for our

25:47 hype intro.

25:51 Ladies,

25:52 gentlemen,

25:54 boys and girls, and potassium

25:56 enthusiasts from around the world.

25:58 Tonight, you and thousands [music] of

26:00 your friends here live, and millions

26:02 more watching at home, have gathered

26:04 here to witness something beyond your

26:07 wildest imagination.

26:09 From Montana

26:11 to Savannah,

26:13 from the Isle of Man

26:15 to Tokyo, Japan, the Banana Maniacs come

26:17 from across the globe to witness

26:20 this.

26:21 This is not baseball. This is the

26:25 crucible where the fastest, hungriest,

26:28 and most entertaining players are

26:30 forged. This is a game of the fans, by

26:34 the fans, and for the fans. But, this is

26:38 not your granddad's pastime. This is not

26:41 just another night at the ballpark. This

26:44 game is baseball by birth, fruit by

26:47 name, and an absolute worldwide

26:50 phenomenon by the grace of God. This is

26:52 the time for all 5,500 fans here in

26:56 historic Grayson Stadium to GET ON YOUR

27:00 FEET AND GIVE ME YOUR VOICES.

27:07 Because this is the greatest show in the

27:11 sports. Ladies and gentlemen, this is

27:14 THE SAVANNAH BANANAS.

27:17 >> [screaming and groaning]

27:18 >> GRAYSON STADIUM, IT'S TIME FOR THE

27:20 STARTING LINEUP FOR YOUR

27:22 SAVANNAH BANANAS.

27:25 Leading off, the extra hitter, NUMBER

27:27 FIVE, DR THE DOC MEDOWS.

27:36 Out in left field, number 15, we call

27:38 him Rock, Robert Anthony Cruz.

27:47 The DH, number 19, Dan

27:52 Oberst.

27:59 Center fielder, number two, Reese

28:02 Alexiades.

28:11 Over at third base, number four, KYLE

28:14 K.J.

28:16 JACKSON.

28:23 SHORTSTOP, [music] number six, he is our

28:24 glove magician, Ryan Cox.

28:35 Out in right field, number seven, TY

28:38 TICE

28:39 JACKSON.

28:47 THE SECOND BASEMAN, number eight, he is

28:50 our greatest showman, JACKSON

28:55 OLSON.

29:03 THE CATCHER, NUMBER 17, Easton Parish.

29:13 And at first base, number nine, Max

29:16 Goldberg.

29:22 On the mound tonight for your Savannah

29:23 Bananas, number 30,

29:25 >> That's your Savannah Bananas starting

29:26 lineup. When we come back, we'll get the

29:28 starting 10 for the Loco Beach Coconut

29:31 and first pitch tonight.

29:51 America with the singing of tonight's

29:54 national anthem, please welcome Tamarius

29:56 Jackson.

30:00 Oh, say can you see

30:06 by the dawn's early light,

30:10 what so proudly

30:13 we held

30:16 at the twilight's

30:18 last gleaming,

30:20 whose broad stripes and bright stars

30:24 through the perilous

30:27 fight, or the ramparts

30:31 we watched were so gallantly

30:37 streaming,

30:40 and the rockets'

30:42 red glare,

30:44 the bombs bursting in

30:49 air, gave proof through the night

30:53 that our flag was still there.

30:57 Oh, say does that star-spangled

31:03 banner

31:06 yet wave? [screaming]

31:10 O'er the land

31:13 of the free

31:17 and the

31:19 home

31:23 of the

31:24 brave.

31:28 LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, TAMARIE JACKSON.

31:58 It is kick line o'clock here in historic

32:01 Grayson Stadium.

32:04 A full house, over 5,500 fans on hand to

32:08 see the first place 13 and 7 Savannah

32:11 Bananas take on the fourth place 11 and

32:15 11 Loco Beach Coconuts as we welcome you

32:18 back inside. With the statistical savant

32:20 of Banana Ball, Josh Tolewski, I am Biko

32:22 Skalla. Thank you so much for spending

32:24 your Saturday night with us here in

32:26 virtual Banana Land. The Coconuts have a

32:29 chance to win a series against the

32:30 Savannah Bananas for the first time

32:32 ever.

32:33 >> And it's time to see if they potentially

32:34 have one more comeback up their sleeve

32:37 in this series, but don't let it be

32:39 forgotten the Bananas are 13 and 7 this

32:41 season. They are 8 and 2 playing as the

32:44 home team. This is when they are at

32:45 their strongest. Take a look at the

32:48 Bananas defense here as this is their

32:51 home series in their home park. Left to

32:53 right in the outfield, usual [music]

32:55 suspects Robert Anthony Cruz, Reese

32:57 Alexiades, and Ty Jackson. Third to

32:59 first in the infield, it's Kyle Jackson,

33:02 Ryan Cox, [music] Jackson Olson, and Max

33:04 Youngblood. Easton Parish gets his first

33:07 start here in his rookie season behind

33:09 the dish, and Bryce Grizzaffi, the

33:11 designated fielder, we expect him to be

33:13 playing a lot behind the plate tonight

33:15 really as well. Yeah, the Bananas want

33:16 the bat of Easton Parish in this lineup,

33:18 but they love what Grizzaffi can [music]

33:20 do with the glove. So, he's going to be

33:22 working with Connor Harris for a second

33:24 straight weekend. But, as far as the

33:26 trick plays are concerned, Reese

33:28 Alexiades has been red hot in center

33:30 field lately. Nine trick plays in his

33:33 last five contests for the Savannah

33:35 Bananas. Yeah, pair last night for Super

33:38 Reese as the Bananas fended off the

33:40 coconuts in that battle for the

33:42 equalizer point for a second straight

33:44 night here in this series. And as we've

33:47 talked about in the middle of it all, it

33:50 is the tallest athlete in the sport. 6

33:53 ft 8 Connor Harris, the pride of Avon,

33:56 Connecticut, here in his rookie season

33:58 after he was on the visitors Banana

34:00 Ball's developmental team last year. And

34:02 the numbers are not sparkling, but this

34:04 is the guy that Tyler Gillum and company

34:07 are very confident in, and they think

34:09 he's going to be in the starting

34:10 rotation for a long time to come.

34:12 >> Yeah, he was an eighth round pick in the

34:13 Banana Ball player draft, went 60th

34:15 overall, and he's making his second

34:17 career start. But, they've come in

34:19 back-to-back weekends. While he had some

34:21 rocky results in Atlanta, four hits

34:24 allowed and three earned runs in an

34:26 inning and a third, he has pitched much

34:28 better when the Bananas have played as

34:29 the home team. A 4.50

34:32 earned run average in six innings with

34:34 five Ks. When it comes to this powerful

34:37 Loco Beach Coconut starting lineup, it's

34:40 the same top eight as last night. Ben

34:42 Parker, Tanner Allen, Dane Toplin,

34:45 Jordan Brewer cleaning it up, then Ashby

34:47 Vining, Gideon Antell, and Eric Ausberg

34:49 followed by JD Erso. Grady Morgan subs

34:52 in in in Maulden's spot in the nine

34:54 hole, and Peyton Schattschneider, for a

34:56 third time in this series, is holding

34:57 down the 10th spot.

34:58 >> have seen Tanner Allen, the former

35:01 College World Series star, wind up with

35:04 six hits in the series. He is now pacing

35:06 all Banana Ball batters when it comes to

35:08 hits this year. Let's get it on down to

35:11 the young professor.

35:12 Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the

35:15 moment you have all been waiting for.

35:17 When I count to three, I need you to

35:20 yell at the top of your lungs, "Start

35:23 the clock." In 1 2 3.

35:29 SHOWTIME! LEADING OFF FOR the Coconuts,

35:31 number The 2-hour timer starts ticking.

35:33 It will only matter if it runs out

35:35 before we get to the ninth inning. Ben

35:38 Parker, video game numbers here in his

35:40 rookie campaign. First-round draft pick,

35:43 number seven overall. The second player

35:46 ever selected by the Coconuts. And that

35:49 379 batting average paired with a 505

35:53 on-base percentage, both best on the

35:55 team. As the fastball misses inside.

35:59 And we are underway.

36:03 Looper to center field, STRAIGHT TO

36:05 ALEXIOTTIS. TORNADO CATCH! A SPARKLING

36:09 trick play to get us going tonight.

36:11 >> AND THAT IS NOW 10 IN SIX games for

36:14 Super Reese. OFF TO A KILLER START

36:17 TONIGHT IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA. AND THAT

36:20 is the catch that he has wanted to make

36:23 more than any other in his Banana Ball

36:25 career. He said coming into Banana Ball

36:27 in 2024, I think the tornado catch is

36:30 the hardest one to pull off. So, that's

36:32 the one that I want to master. Invented

36:35 by Vinnie DeRubis in 2023, mastered by

36:38 Reese Alexiades in 2024. This is his

36:41 third street tour where that is the

36:42 signature trick play. As Tanner Allen is

36:45 barking at Connor Harris. He talked

36:47 about the six hits. That's [music] in

36:48 nine at bats in this series. The average

36:51 up to 365. The OPS north of a thousand.

36:54 And make it seven for ten on the weekend

36:57 for TA. Paired with a sprint or a steal

37:00 of first base rather, means he's reached

37:03 base eight out of the eleven trips he's

37:05 taken to the plate. I mean, he has done

37:07 everything right for the Loco Beach

37:09 Coconuts in this series. Very much a

37:11 table setter in this team batting 324 in

37:15 the first inning of play. Tanner Allen

37:17 is a big part of that. And it looked

37:19 like he meg'd Connor Harris.

37:21 >> [laughter]

37:21 >> I think that was right through the

37:22 wickets.

37:24 I mean, if there's anybody you're going

37:25 to meg in the sport, it's got to be the

37:27 longest legs out there. As this is a big

37:31 chopper KJ to second for one. Olson over

37:33 to first. Not in time. As Big Timber

37:37 Dane Tufflin, the defending player of

37:39 the week,

37:40 one of the few Coconuts who has not had

37:43 a ton of offensive success this weekend.

37:46 Now 0 for 8 as he bounces into the

37:48 fielder's choice. KJ to Olson.

37:51 But hit by a pitch in game one, a ball

37:53 four sprint in game two means that he

37:56 still has his 22 game on base streak to

37:59 start his Banana Ball career going. And

38:02 now Jordan Brewer, the cleanup hitter

38:04 and first baseman three for nine on the

38:06 weekend.

38:08 A monster shot of a home run on Thursday

38:10 night. A triple an evening ago.

38:15 Makes it 16 extra base hits on the year

38:18 tied with Tanner Allen who hits two

38:21 spots ahead of him for the tour lead.

38:31 Harris behind two and one. He's got a

38:33 four-seam fastball 90 to 93 mph, 12-6

38:36 knuckle curve in the high 70s, and a

38:38 kick change low 80s.

38:41 This one fend it off. Looks like an

38:43 opportunity for the fans. No catch.

38:47 As we still have not had a foul out to

38:48 the fans in a game here in Grayson

38:51 Stadium in 2026. Yeah, definitely the

38:53 awning behind home plate makes things a

38:55 little difficult for the folks here in

38:57 Grayson, but those people out in those

38:59 party decks in right field not able to

39:02 help out Connor Harris who's already

39:04 induced one fan caught foul ball this

39:06 year that came in Yankee Stadium.

39:12 Great take by Brewer on the big bend of

39:14 the 12-6 curveball from Harris. Count is

39:17 full.

39:18 Means Dane Coughlin not the fleetest of

39:20 foot will be off on the pitch.

39:25 There he goes.

39:26 And

39:28 Ryan Cox deep in the hole. Long throw.

39:30 It's high. It gets over Max Young

39:32 Goldberg. Coughlin's going to advance to

39:34 third.

39:37 Fourth error of the year for the

39:39 normally sure-handed Ryan Cox and the

39:42 inning extended. Yeah, that's a tough

39:44 play and Ryan Cox was telling us before

39:46 the game [music]

39:47 that it is so hard to see his first

39:49 baseman with the shadows and the way the

39:51 sun hits him from that shortstop

39:54 position. So, likely didn't have the

39:56 best idea of where Max Young Goldberg

39:58 was at first base,

40:00 >> [music]

40:00 >> and that's why you saw the throw sailed

40:02 over his head and now puts men on the

40:04 corners for Ashby Vining. Kelly Don the

40:07 home plate umpire

40:09 makes the call on the first pitch.

40:11 And that one with some cut misses

40:13 outside to Ashby Vining. The extra

40:15 hitter has runners on the corners.

40:17 Two down here in the top of the first.

40:26 That one just misses wide.

40:29 Batting three for seven with a ball,

40:30 four sprints, two runs driven in across

40:33 the first two games of this series.

40:39 Out to left center. Alexi Otis has a

40:41 beat on it. He will tip it and catch it.

40:43 Two trick plays

40:45 >> [music]

40:45 >> in the first for Super Reese as Connor

40:47 Harris strands him on the corners and

40:49 puts up a goose egg. And you see the

40:51 impact already for the Savannah Bananas

40:53 defensively trying to deny that

40:55 equalizer point to Loco Beach tonight.

40:58 Two from Super Reese in inning number

41:00 one. And now all it takes is one run for

41:03 the Bananas in the bottom half of this

41:04 inning to claim the first point tonight.

41:08 Let's get a gander

41:10 at the Loco Beach Coconut's defensive

41:12 alignment behind Will Ethridge. Left to

41:15 right in Loco Beach's outfield, it's

41:18 T.A. Benny Pumps

41:20 and Antel the Antman. In the infield,

41:23 third to first, Urso Schautonye, Morgan,

41:26 and Brewer. Ausburg behind [music] the

41:27 dish, Jacobo the designated fielder.

41:30 >> And you're going to see Sal Jacobo

41:31 playing all nine innings at second base

41:33 in place of Grady Morgan. He is

41:35 currently tied for the team lead with

41:37 those 43 trick plays this season. But

41:40 the big note so far this weekend,

41:43 Coconut's outfielder still yet to record

41:45 a trick play in this series.

41:48 In the middle of it all, it's the Banana

41:51 Ball rookie, Mr. Will Ethridge. Selected

41:54 in the fifth round, number [music] 34

41:56 overall draft pick out of Lilburn,

41:58 Georgia. Spent three years at the

42:00 University of Mississippi before he was

42:03 snagged by the Colorado Rockies. Fifth

42:05 rounder in 2019. Spent five years in the

42:08 organization. And now he gets to make

42:11 his fourth career Banana Ball start.

42:12 Yeah, very exciting task for Will

42:14 Ethridge. This is his first time facing

42:16 off against the Savannah Bananas. And

42:19 now you're going to get a look at their

42:21 batting order tonight. It starts with DR

42:23 Meadows, the extra hitter in that

42:24 lead-off spot, followed by Robert

42:26 Anthony Cruz, Dan Obers, and Reese

42:29 Alexiades. And it's Cruz right now, the

42:31 red-hot bat for the Bananas. He has

42:33 homered in each of his last five series

42:36 for the Nanners, and that includes this

42:38 one against Loco Beach. Yeah, Rack

42:40 channeling his inner Kyle Martin, who

42:43 went deep in the Tailgaters victory last

42:45 night in El Paso.

42:47 Obviously, what else is new? K-Mart has

42:50 nine home runs on the year. Rack, part

42:53 of the crew, tied for second [music]

42:55 most with five. As DR, that .354 batting

42:58 average,

43:01 one of the best contact hitters in the

43:03 history of the sport.

43:07 That was a good-looking bender. Just

43:08 misses up.

43:16 And that one does get the top of the

43:17 zone to even it up at two and two on DR.

43:20 Three for eight on the weekend with a

43:21 double.

43:26 Smoked past the dive of Shota Tonney.

43:30 It'll dribble into left, around first by

43:32 Meadows,

43:34 who pulls off his patented Jack Sparrow

43:36 wobbly run.

43:38 And he has set the table.

43:40 Josh, you talked about it with AJ on the

43:42 call last night. The Bananas so much

43:43 better when DR Meadows has a big night

43:45 at the dish. Yeah, and just to see him

43:47 try and set the table for Robert Anthony

43:49 Cruz might pay massive dividends in this

43:52 inning. He's getting healthier and

43:54 healthier, recovering from a hamstring

43:56 injury. We have not seen a stolen base

43:58 since his return on the 24th of April,

44:02 but he may try and swipe it back here

44:04 against Will Ethridge and Eric Osberg

44:07 behind the plate.

44:13 A ball and a strike on Cruz.

44:16 Former Washington Nationals minor

44:18 leaguer.

44:19 As Meadows gets some attention from

44:21 Ethridge.

44:23 Rack the booming three-run shot on

44:25 Thursday night. Part of a

44:27 three-for-seven weekend.

44:30 With four runs driven in overall.

44:33 Riding a nine-game hitting streak for

44:35 the Savannah Bananas. I mean, he is as

44:37 dialed as just about anybody in this

44:39 order right now.

44:45 A 3-1 count.

44:47 See if DR goes here. He's 11 for 11 on

44:50 the year in stolen bases. Was leading

44:51 the tour

44:53 until he pulled his right hamstring in

44:55 Chapel Hill

44:56 back on April 11th.

44:58 As that's a big cut and a miss from Cruz

45:00 to run the count full.

45:04 Haven't seen DR attempt to stolen base

45:06 since pulling that hamstring. He's

45:08 dancing off first and gets another look

45:11 over there from Ethridge.

45:22 Heater misses outside. DR did not go.

45:25 So, as long as the Cocounuts have

45:27 textbook sprint defense getting it to

45:29 all seven fielders

45:30 behind the pitcher and catcher, which is

45:32 exactly what they do. Meadows no chance

45:34 to get any further than third.

45:36 He takes the 180 ft. Cruz at first and

45:39 the inning-winning run is now 90 ft away

45:42 for Dan Oberst. And this is rather

45:43 surprising to see from Will Ethridge. He

45:45 has been much better starting for the

45:48 Loco Beach Cocounuts than when he has

45:50 pitched in relief. Has a 2.08 earned run

45:53 average as a starter this year. An ERA

45:55 over 14 when he's pitched in relief.

45:58 That was a rather rare sprint as well

46:01 for Will that now puts guys on the

46:03 corners for Danny Barrels fouling this

46:06 one out of play.

46:07 >> [screaming]

46:09 >> The fans are saying it was a catch and

46:11 first base umpire Hunter Riles agrees.

46:16 It's the first foul ball caught by the

46:18 fans for an out in Grayson Stadium THIS

46:21 YEAR. IT GOES AGAINST THE HOMETOWN

46:23 BANANAS.

46:25 And we've got Adam Bryant, the Bananas

46:27 first base coach. HE IS UP AGAINST THE

46:30 NETTING. He is clearly not thrilled with

46:33 the fans making that snag against the

46:36 Bananas. But I'll tell you what, all

46:38 weekend long we've seen a lot of teal

46:41 fill the stands here in Grayson Stadium.

46:43 The Coconuts have been well represented

46:46 throughout this weekend in their first

46:48 ever series playing here in Grayson.

46:50 Well, now Reese Alexiades.

46:53 That is the 10th Banana to foul out to

46:55 the fans this year. It leads the world

46:57 tour.

46:59 Remember the name of the sport is Banana

47:00 Ball. You wouldn't suspect it.

47:05 Great stop. Eric Osborne saves the

47:07 inning for now. And I'll tell you what,

47:09 that's about as big of an out as you can

47:10 get if you're Will Ethridge in those

47:12 situations. You hope for a strikeout or

47:14 maybe a ball

47:15 >> [music]

47:15 >> hit hard on the ground. The foul out to

47:18 the fan in Banana Ball certainly helps

47:20 you in any situation.

47:23 >> Oh yeah, just as good as a pop up in the

47:24 infield.

47:27 Corners are in.

47:30 As this one skyed medium depth, Ben

47:33 Parker ranging over.

47:36 He tips it and Tell with the snag who's

47:39 got a fantastic arm. But as soon as the

47:41 ball went off the glove of Parker, that

47:43 allowed Meadows to take off. No chance

47:45 to get him. It's another walk-off for

47:48 Super Reese, his fourth of the series

47:51 and team leading eighth of the year.

47:53 Big knock for Alexiades yet again in

47:56 this series.

47:57 And now it's time to find out a little

47:59 bit more on these coconuts in the hit by

48:02 pitch troubles.

48:04 Some would call it trouble, some would

48:05 say it's great luck.

48:07 Loco Beach has been getting plunked more

48:10 than any other team in the sport. 31

48:12 times, that is eight more than the

48:14 firefighters who have been hit the

48:16 second most in Banana Ball. Heck, it's

48:19 great for the team OBP. Yeah, I mean

48:20 you're just wanting to get on base and

48:23 Dane Toplin, one of these key guys, has

48:24 been hit by a lot of pitches this

48:26 season. For more with Dane, we send it

48:28 to AJ Swytak.

48:30 Coconuts have been hit by more pitches

48:32 than anybody this season. You've been

48:34 hit by more than any on this team.

48:36 What's one into that? What's the

48:37 training been like? Um you know, it's

48:40 been a long off season, you know,

48:42 really, really good diet. Um that was

48:44 kind of the biggest thing for me and you

48:46 know, a lot of long sessions in the gym.

48:49 Um you know, I really attribute it all

48:52 of that.

48:53 You've got the nicknames Big Maple, Big

48:54 Tree, but you don't get that without

48:55 being big. You think that's why you've

48:57 been getting hit? Yeah, I mean that's

48:58 just courtesy of the weight room. That's

48:59 all that is. What's the recovery process

49:02 like for you? Just getting beamed by

49:03 banana balls over and over. You at the

49:05 hospital every week?

49:07 Yeah, I mean I'm a little bit banged up,

49:08 so I got the DH spot tonight, you know,

49:11 a lot of hit by pitches, so had to give

49:13 the legs a rest, you know. Well, I'm

49:14 going to get this guy bandaged up. Biko

49:16 Josh, back up to y'all. Thank you very

49:18 much, AJ. Great insight there from the

49:21 rookie, Dane Toplin, and we have

49:23 ourselves the world's slowest race. AND

49:25 HOW ABOUT THE ARMY CRAWL? OH, IT'S NECK

49:27 AND NECK AT THE END. WOW, PHOTO FINISH.

49:31 I COULDN'T EVEN TELL YOU who won.

49:33 That's as tight as it gets.

49:37 Is it possible to get a replay? I mean,

49:39 that was

49:43 It doesn't get closer than that.

49:49 Another look. Oh, no. And tears

49:52 [laughter]

49:53 at the end.

49:54 Tears of joy. Right. Yeah, that's For

49:57 winning.

49:58 >> [laughter]

49:59 >> Sounds right to me.

50:01 Gideon Antell

50:03 will lead off our second frame.

50:12 Three for seven on the weekend, two

50:13 doubles. They both came Thursday night.

50:16 Big swing and a miss.

50:18 The Ant Man, as Ace White Tech, voice of

50:20 the Coconuts,

50:23 calls him having a superb rookie year.

50:27 Well out ahead of the 12-6 curveball,

50:29 the pride of Licking, Missouri.

50:32 5'9"

50:33 and he swings with some serious

50:35 authority. He never gets cheated in the

50:37 batter's box. That is for sure.

50:40 Antell has had most of his big swings

50:42 late in games this season, but now

50:44 trying to get the lead-off guy on as

50:47 this one is barreled into left-center

50:49 field. And that will split the gap and

50:51 skip over the wall in left field. That

50:54 is a lead-off ground rule double for

50:57 Antell.

50:58 It ties him with Dane Toflin for second

51:01 most doubles on the tour as you see the

51:02 Coconuts signature celebration out on

51:05 second base.

51:08 It's his third two-bagger of the weekend

51:11 across this three-game set.

51:16 As Antell has now reached five out of

51:18 nine times coming up to the dish.

51:22 He is such a high-quality banana ball

51:24 player as it's a ball and a strike on

51:25 Eric Osberg.

51:26 >> And he's a guy who's collected an extra

51:28 base hit in all but two games here in

51:30 the month of May for Loco Beach.

51:34 Fastball gets the top of the zone.

51:38 Harris ahead of the man who spent seven

51:39 years in the Tampa Bay Rays

51:41 organization.

51:48 Another banana Ball rookie.

51:53 And I got the coconuts were thrilled to

51:55 get in the fourth round of the inaugural

51:57 Banana Ball player draft. Payoff.

52:01 Well, that was a 2-2. Now we're going to

52:02 get a payoff pitch. The in-stadium

52:04 scoreboard

52:07 with an oracle-type performance there.

52:09 He knew what was coming.

52:12 Payoff.

52:14 Fouled away.

52:16 KJ and Cruz will watch it

52:19 find some cement

52:21 in between the fans.

52:28 Ausberg three for eight pacing the

52:30 Coconuts this weekend with three runs

52:31 driven in

52:33 which has him up to 20 stakes on the

52:35 tour. He has been fantastic at driving

52:38 his teammates in.

52:40 Three bananas on the right side of the

52:41 infield, another 3-2, another foul ball.

52:44 And Ausberg, he knows how to work a

52:46 plate appearance as well. He's got one

52:48 of the highest ball four sprint rates on

52:50 this Coconuts team.

52:52 And he might be trying to work one here

52:54 about to receive pitch number eight from

52:56 Connor Harris.

52:58 Fly to right.

53:00 Ty Jackson strolling in will tip it and

53:04 catch it. And Antel trying TO GO TO

53:06 THIRD. OH, [screaming] WOW, HE'S GOT

53:08 DOWN. TY TO FLY A SEAT TO KJ FOR A TRICK

53:12 PLAY ON THE DOUBLE PLAY.

53:15 BUT JACKSON TO JACKSON CONNECTION TURNS

53:19 TWO FOR THE BANANAS IN THE SECOND. WHAT

53:22 AN UNBELIEVABLE BULLET FROM TY JACKSON

53:26 TO GUN DOWN THE COCONUTS RIGHT FIELDER.

53:29 AND THAT CAME AFTER the tip drill. And

53:32 what really is impressive, the Banana

53:34 Ball IQ from Ty Jackson. It's the

53:37 slightest of tips straight into the bare

53:39 hand and he loads up and fires that dart

53:43 to KJ.

53:44 That is unreal. I mean, he is going to

53:46 keep getting looks in right field with

53:48 plays like that.

53:51 JD Urso all of a sudden swings it with

53:54 two down and nobody on. I was just about

53:56 to say great banana ball IQ from Gidean

53:59 Antell

54:00 to take off and tag when he sees that Ty

54:02 goes for the tip drill, and then it was

54:04 a perfect throw to gun him down. I still

54:06 like the send by Antell because it took

54:08 an absolutely perfect throw to get him.

54:11 Ty Jackson was just able to deliver on

54:12 that.

54:13 >> And and you saw the Bananas did the

54:14 exact same thing the last inning when

54:17 Ben Parker tipped to Antell that

54:18 resulted in that sack fly to win the

54:20 inning. Antell figured it was going to

54:22 go in his team's favor here, and

54:25 unfortunately, it's just a better play

54:27 by Ty Jackson.

54:29 >> [cheering]

54:29 >> Deuces wild.

54:32 A 2-2 count with two down to Urso.

54:35 Great take.

54:38 He runs the count full.

54:40 JD two for seven on the weekend. A

54:42 double his first career extra base hit,

54:44 and that was on Thursday night, drove in

54:46 a run.

54:48 Three straight starts for the first time

54:50 in his Banana Ball career as he blasts

54:52 this deep out to right center, and it's

54:54 going to be one hop up against the wall.

54:56 Urso cruises into second with a stand-up

54:59 double.

55:01 And the trick play web gem from Ty

55:03 Jackson looms that that much larger now.

55:06 Second double in the series two from JD

55:09 Urso. He's got and starts in all three

55:11 games of this series. Mark Crocco really

55:14 believes in his bat right now, and he's

55:17 proven Crocco to be pretty wise

55:19 throughout this weekend as the Coconuts

55:22 get a man in scoring position. This one

55:24 is fisted though to Ryan Cox, and they

55:27 try for a double trick play, but it's

55:29 Kyle Jackson tapping my bad on the chest

55:33 unable to collect that banana ball

55:35 behind his back.

55:39 It makes sense going for it. The Bananas

55:44 trying to put a dagger

55:46 in the Coconuts equalizer point chances

55:49 early in this ball game.

55:52 And Kayden Bowler, oh my goodness.

55:57 The Banana Ball rookie is going to hit

55:59 on the Bowler board

56:01 in a huge spot

56:03 as he cuts and misses on the gas from

56:05 Harris.

56:07 Urso off third, Morgan off first.

56:11 Coconuts looking for their first run.

56:16 As the fastball misses wide.

56:21 Bowler pinch hitting for Schattynne.

56:28 And a grounder.

56:30 Cox between the legs, over to first in

56:32 plenty of time.

56:33 He gets the trick play after all.

56:36 Another pair of them for the Bananas who

56:38 are up to four in the ball game.

56:40 And Connor Harris has thrown two donuts

56:42 up on the scoreboard. And it's

56:44 impressive work from Connor Harris. He's

56:46 already been in three three-ball counts

56:49 tonight. Nonetheless, still without a

56:51 ball four sprint issued.

56:54 Don't normally like to do this kind of

56:56 thing, but at this point we have to.

56:58 We've been asked to make this

57:00 announcement. If you are the owner of a

57:02 white Honda Pilot Georgia license

57:05 plates,

57:08 congratulations.

57:10 YOU'RE GETTING A FREE CAR WASH.

57:13 >> [music]

57:20 [music]

57:28 >> IS THAT YOUR CAR, JOSH?

57:30 UH, NO. They were actually looking for a

57:33 Jeep out in the parking lot. I asked

57:35 them to do my car. It

57:37 clearly doesn't seem like they were all

57:38 that interested. You know what I can't

57:40 take my eyes off of? The way that space

57:43 cowboy on the left of your screen is

57:46 just sprinkling the water on the car

57:48 windshield.

57:49 Uh, from that, let's hear from Reese

57:52 Alexiades. Sam Bowmen?

57:54 Yeah, guys. I got Reese Alexiades.

57:56 Already off to a great start continuing

57:57 from last night where he had all those

57:59 hits, two trick plays, a walk-off

58:01 already. Reese, there's got to be some

58:04 kind of motivation this weekend for you.

58:06 Yeah, big day yesterday. It was my mom's

58:08 birthday. I hope she's watching. Didn't

58:11 get the chance to get on the mic

58:12 yesterday, but happy birthday, Mom. You

58:14 mean the world to me. I love you and I

58:16 hope you're watching.

58:17 Now, is that the only gift you're

58:18 getting her or did you send something,

58:20 too? Well, I'll see her next week and

58:23 then I'll give gifts in person. His

58:25 presence is her presence [music] and his

58:27 presence is working pretty well for the

58:29 Bananas, too. Pika, gosh. Let's keep

58:32 doing banana ball.

58:34 Happy birthday, Chris. Spot on, SB. Yes,

58:35 happy birthday, super Chris.

58:38 Super mom.

58:40 All of the above.

58:41 >> son. Oh, no doubt.

58:43 >> [laughter]

58:45 >> Alexiades just continues to get better

58:48 and better here on his third world tour.

58:49 He he gifted her his sixth career

58:51 three-hit game.

58:54 That's pretty good. I mean, he certainly

58:56 would have been the showman of the night

58:58 had the Bananas held on to their 2-1

59:00 lead that they took to the ninth inning.

59:03 As KJ, another guy aging like a fine

59:06 wine. This is his third world tour,

59:07 [music]

59:08 second full season in banana ball

59:11 after he debuted with the Visitors in

59:14 2024. [music]

59:16 Hitting .375,

59:18 a .467

59:20 on-base percentage after he paced the

59:22 tour last year reaching at a .481 clip.

59:27 And sprays this one left side. Long run,

59:30 Tanner Allen. Nice catch on the run.

59:34 Taking care of KJ, who was four for

59:36 eight on the series coming into that

59:38 plate appearance. Yeah, and Kyle Jackson

59:40 just having to flick that one off

59:42 against Will Ethridge. Great running

59:44 grab by Tanner Allen in left field.

59:48 Making that one look easy in foul

59:51 territory. And now it's Ryan Cox, one of

59:54 the most disciplined bats for the

59:55 Bananas at the dish.

59:59 Heater gets the top of the zone against

1:00:01 Coxie.

1:00:03 Saw the look. Said, "Okay."

1:00:06 One for six on the weekend with the

1:00:07 sprint.

1:00:09 The batting average down to 311, and his

1:00:12 team-leading on-base percentage down to

1:00:15 484.

1:00:17 It has been a stupendous fifth world

1:00:19 tour offensively

1:00:21 for the Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, native.

1:00:23 >> And even though the OBP has gone below

1:00:25 500 for Cox, he's still sixth in the

1:00:27 Banana Ball Championship League when it

1:00:29 comes to on-base percentage.

1:00:31 And you see the discipline. Yet again,

1:00:33 some close calls from Will Ethridge. And

1:00:36 Ara Gosper clearly wants them behind the

1:00:38 plate. But Coxie's ahead 3-1.

1:00:44 That one scrapes the bottom of the zone.

1:00:46 Runs the count full against Cox.

1:00:52 And the heater just barely misses

1:00:55 Ethridge. Not happy with the call at

1:00:57 all. Wait. It was a late call from Kelly

1:01:00 Don. Strike three. That's an all-caps

1:01:03 late call from Kelly Don.

1:01:08 Tell you what, it looked like a strike.

1:01:12 As we get another gander, dotting that

1:01:14 low inside corner. Oh, she really

1:01:16 thought about it.

1:01:17 >> [laughter]

1:01:18 >> I mean, we On the replay, we never even

1:01:20 saw her made make the final call.

1:01:25 So, Cox back to the dugout.

1:01:27 Ethridge, his first punch out

1:01:30 as the curveball misses

1:01:32 below the knees to Tie 2 Fly, Tie

1:01:34 Jackson, fifth year as a Savannah

1:01:36 Banana.

1:01:39 As the heater just misses, Ethridge

1:01:40 shaking his head, thought he had another

1:01:42 strike.

1:01:43 There's the legend, Reginald Horton.

1:01:46 His 25th season here in historic Grayson

1:01:48 Stadium.

1:01:52 11th with the Savannah Bananas

1:01:53 organization, the Energizer Bunny

1:01:56 of this team and coaching staff.

1:02:00 Never stops dancing, never stops moving.

1:02:03 The motivational coach extraordinaire as

1:02:05 we get a payoff.

1:02:07 CHANCE FOR URSO, WOW, IT BOUNCES off the

1:02:10 bag. A heck of a break for Tie Jackson

1:02:13 who shows off the wheels. He'll take a

1:02:15 turnaround second and park it right

1:02:17 there.

1:02:22 That's just a good omen for the Savannah

1:02:24 Bananas here in the second inning. Tie

1:02:26 hitting the 6-7,

1:02:28 >> [music]

1:02:28 >> standing on second base. Yeah, that is

1:02:31 tricky. JD Urso, not much you can do

1:02:34 once the banana ball skips off of the

1:02:36 bag like that. So, a two bagger for Tie

1:02:39 2 Fly and now Olson who had a walk-off

1:02:41 Thursday night looking for another in

1:02:44 this series. Jackie swings through the

1:02:46 changeup.

1:02:52 I wonder how many games it's going to

1:02:53 take me to not hit my head on this

1:02:54 thing.

1:02:56 And the count even at one and one.

1:02:59 On

1:03:00 another fifth-year Banana, here in his

1:03:02 fourth world tour.

1:03:06 Olson, the .169 batting average, not at

1:03:08 all where he would like it to be.

1:03:10 This is a guy we've seen

1:03:12 usually finds his stride

1:03:14 halfway towards the end of the year and

1:03:16 he can get on a tear all of a sudden

1:03:18 it's laser beams all over the field.

1:03:19 >> Yeah, usually you see him come on hot

1:03:21 here in the month of May and he does

1:03:22 have hits in three of his last four

1:03:24 games for the Bananas. So, hopefully a

1:03:27 sign of good things to come as Olson

1:03:29 spoils that bender [music] from

1:03:31 Etheridge. Yeah, and this is a guy who

1:03:33 hit 307 and then 315 across his 2023 and

1:03:37 2024 seasons.

1:03:40 Do you trust him to be able to get back

1:03:41 to that form?

1:03:46 The shake from Etheridge.

1:03:48 And now the one-two with Jackson off for

1:03:50 third and Olson loops it.

1:03:53 JORDAN BREWER CATCHES IT BETWEEN the

1:03:56 legs for the first, make it the second

1:03:58 trick play on the ball game for the

1:04:00 Coconut. Impressive stuff from Brewer

1:04:02 WHO ALREADY HAD THAT GLOVE POSITIONED

1:04:05 UNDER THE LEGS. Coconut's hold the

1:04:07 Nanners scoreless in the second, but

1:04:09 still down one nothing.

1:04:16 >> [music]

1:04:22 [music]

1:04:26 >> here on the first base side in the

1:04:27 bleachers and WE'RE REPRESENTING THE

1:04:29 ENTIRE RIGHT FIELD SIDE AND I got a

1:04:32 feeling that this SIDE IS GOING TO BE

1:04:35 THE LOUDEST SIDE.

1:04:38 That's cute, C.J. That's cute because I

1:04:40 am over here with our fans behind third

1:04:42 base and out in left field and WE ARE

1:04:44 THE BEST IN CLASS OF SAVANNAH, GEORGIA.

1:04:47 >> [cheering]

1:04:49 >> SO, SHARK, LET'S FIND OUT WHO'S GOING TO

1:04:51 WIN TONIGHT.

1:04:57 >> [music]

1:05:07 >> WOW, you guys are loud tonight. The

1:05:08 first point of this thing off's It's to

1:05:12 THE FIRST BASE ON RIGHT FIELD SIDE.

1:05:14 >> [cheering]

1:05:15 >> YEAH. Next song.

1:05:21 We'll get it back. Come on.

1:05:24 >> [music]

1:05:30 [cheering]

1:05:37 [cheering]

1:05:45 >> Absolutely incredible. Sang that whole

1:05:47 way. That point goes to the third base

1:05:50 >> you what, the crowd tonight is bananas

1:05:52 and it looks like some banana super fans

1:05:55 have taken over the fan cam. See Minions

1:05:57 and Monsters only in theaters on July

1:06:00 1st. It's going to be bananas.

1:06:07 Did you see one of the new trailers for

1:06:08 that movie?

1:06:10 They did like a film noir thing. I have

1:06:12 not.

1:06:13 And I'm telling you, I think it might be

1:06:15 the Chinatown for our generation.

1:06:18 >> [laughter]

1:06:21 >> That's what people are saying.

1:06:23 >> [laughter]

1:06:24 >> Siskel and Ebert No, I mean the ghost of

1:06:26 Roger Ebert told me that.

1:06:30 I mean, I'd say what you will. I

1:06:32 absolutely love those Minions. There is

1:06:34 no no joking at all involved in that.

1:06:37 Oh, they are funny little rapscallions.

1:06:40 Top of the order

1:06:41 for the Coconuts here in the top of the

1:06:43 third.

1:06:44 Parker Allen and Toplin, the big

1:06:46 boppers.

1:06:48 Then the swing that changed it all last

1:06:50 night.

1:06:52 That was a beautiful 12-6 curve. You saw

1:06:53 the little hesitation from Grazzafi.

1:06:56 Yeah, a couple shakes of the head.

1:06:59 Looked pretty good.

1:07:02 Did not get the call from Kelly Dine and

1:07:04 that fastball clearly a ball. So a 3-1

1:07:07 count on Parker who flew out to center

1:07:09 his first time. Tornado catch from

1:07:12 Alexiades.

1:07:21 And this one smashed deep out to left.

1:07:23 Oh, Parker has found his juice.

1:07:26 Second ground rule double of the ball

1:07:28 game for the Coconuts and third extra

1:07:31 base hit of the series for Parker.

1:07:35 Just a booming double off of his bat.

1:07:37 And now Parker extends a 12-game hit

1:07:40 streak for Loco Beach and a 21-game

1:07:44 on-base streak to open up his Banana

1:07:47 Ball career.

1:07:50 This one slapped the other way. Tanner

1:07:52 Allen has himself a knock as Parker will

1:07:54 go station to station. I'll tell you

1:07:56 what, a 12-game hit streak is light work

1:07:58 for Benny Pumps. He holds the College of

1:08:01 William and Mary record for longest ever

1:08:04 hitting streak, 34 games.

1:08:07 Went from the start of March

1:08:09 to the start of May

1:08:11 this past spring in his senior campaign.

1:08:16 As the Coconuts set up,

1:08:19 they have not pushed a run across so far

1:08:20 tonight,

1:08:22 but Parker off third, Allen off first.

1:08:24 Great speed on the corners.

1:08:28 And it's dance time.

1:08:35 There he is.

1:08:38 With candid footwork.

1:08:40 Olsen Cox and Alexiades in the

1:08:42 background

1:08:43 as he goes to the 12-6 bender after the

1:08:46 3-2-2 dance. That's rather impressive

1:08:49 from Connor Harris. He is comfortable

1:08:50 enough after some entertainment to throw

1:08:53 that 12-6 [music] knuckle curve to Dane

1:08:55 Toplin, one of Banana Ball's best

1:08:57 hitters this season.

1:08:59 And then he tests Toplin with that

1:09:01 heater.

1:09:13 Cue ball foul. Still one and two and

1:09:15 Connor Harris, you've got a mic on you?

1:09:17 Yeah, you guys didn't know that? No,

1:09:18 this is news to me.

1:09:20 I've been talking to you guys the whole

1:09:21 time. Wow.

1:09:23 Well, they just turned you on in our

1:09:25 ears. So, welcome to the broadcast, my

1:09:26 friend. Yeah, let's go. Here we go. Come

1:09:28 on, Connor.

1:09:33 That's a great piece of hitting. Dane

1:09:35 Toflin

1:09:35 >> [cheering]

1:09:36 >> one hop off the wall. Parker will score

1:09:38 easily. Allen is getting the wave

1:09:40 around. 4-4 [cheering] No relay from

1:09:43 MJG.

1:09:46 Two-run double

1:09:48 for the Great Dane.

1:09:50 >> [cheering]

1:09:51 >> And those coconuts have finally gotten

1:09:53 to you, Connor, but it's been a heck of

1:09:54 a start for you so far. Hey, you know

1:09:56 what? We're going to keep pounding the

1:09:57 zone here. That ball's got to be a

1:09:58 little bit more up, but

1:10:00 right here, you know, the comeback is

1:10:02 always greater than the setback. So,

1:10:03 right now, let's go.

1:10:05 >> [cheering]

1:10:09 >> Oh, the karaoke king. Look at him go.

1:10:13 >> [laughter]

1:10:16 [cheering]

1:10:21 >> That's your former Visitors teammate,

1:10:22 Grady Morgan. What can you tell us about

1:10:25 getting to spend a couple months with

1:10:26 him? Uh all these guys, all the

1:10:28 Visitors, Brewer, one of my dogs for

1:10:30 life, man. All good people. Were you

1:10:32 ever doing any karaoke with Grady in the

1:10:34 locker room? Uh I wouldn't compete with

1:10:36 that.

1:10:37 >> [laughter]

1:10:41 >> Yeah, there we go. That's where we want

1:10:43 it, right there, up there.

1:10:46 Armoni Henderson has taken over for

1:10:48 Toflin at second.

1:10:54 Oh, yeah. That is a beauty.

1:11:00 What do you go to on the O2?

1:11:02 Yeah, we go with what works right here,

1:11:03 the old Uncle Charlie.

1:11:06 Oh, he wanted it. He wanted to. He did

1:11:08 want it. Great stop by Griz.

1:11:13 This is back-to-back starts with Rosaffi

1:11:15 as your battery mate.

1:11:22 Yeah, that was a good pitch.

1:11:23 >> Ah, perfect location. Yes, he was. It

1:11:25 was, Connor.

1:11:26 >> [cheering]

1:11:27 >> Ah, no help from the fans. Connor, what

1:11:30 do we have to do to get the fans in

1:11:31 Grayson Stadium to catch a foul ball in

1:11:33 favor of your guys? Hey, you know what?

1:11:36 We got to keep putting a smile on our

1:11:37 face, dancing, and good things are going

1:11:38 to happen for us. I'll tell you that.

1:11:51 Count even at two and two on Brewer.

1:11:52 [cheering]

1:12:00 Ah, Henderson off for third. Rosaffi

1:12:03 throw high.

1:12:05 And [cheering] Henderson just barely

1:12:06 able to stay on the bag. What an

1:12:08 athletic play from KJ.

1:12:12 All right, you got a 3-2 on Brewer.

1:12:14 What's your pitch of choice here? We're

1:12:16 going to challenge him. That makes sense

1:12:18 to me.

1:12:27 Oh my goodness. High fly ball deep to

1:12:30 left. Rex got a beat on it.

1:12:33 And Henderson will score easily on the

1:12:36 sac fly.

1:12:37 >> [cheering]

1:12:37 >> But it's got to feel like a fresh frame

1:12:39 now. You got an out, nobody on the

1:12:40 bases. Yeah.

1:12:42 Now we go to work.

1:12:44 Got to stay positive, man. Got to have a

1:12:46 mindset like a goldfish. They don't

1:12:48 remember anything.

1:12:49 Fresh inning right here, one out.

1:12:50 >> And Connor, you're a Banana Ball rookie.

1:12:53 You know, you're still learning a lot,

1:12:55 but what's been the biggest takeaway for

1:12:57 you from a pitching standpoint this

1:12:59 year?

1:13:01 So, he didn't pitch.

1:13:04 I mean, you got to approach it like a

1:13:05 Banana Ball game. You got to smile.

1:13:07 Can't approach it like baseball cuz it's

1:13:08 so different.

1:13:11 Got to embrace the atmosphere.

1:13:15 Oh, yeah, that's another ugly swing on

1:13:16 the 12-6 bender.

1:13:20 Do you feel like you have an advantage

1:13:21 or disadvantage throwing to your

1:13:22 catcher, Ashby Bining, from the

1:13:24 Visitors? I think it's mano a mano here.

1:13:33 Can't get a grip on that changeup right

1:13:34 here.

1:13:35 Looks like it's got some cut on it

1:13:36 tonight.

1:13:38 Yeah, it's not supposed to do that.

1:13:39 That's what I WAS

1:13:39 >> [laughter]

1:13:40 >> THINKING.

1:13:47 OH, BOY, ASHBY BINING, he timed

1:13:49 [cheering] up the 12-6 curve very well.

1:13:52 Hung that one.

1:13:54 Well, top of the left [cheering] field

1:13:56 landing.

1:13:57 Bining his second home run of the year.

1:14:01 And I'll tell you what, Connor.

1:14:05 It's

1:14:06 It's one of these things. I was looking

1:14:08 at only one home run for Ashby coming

1:14:10 into this game.

1:14:11 Felt like

1:14:13 this might be the beginning of

1:14:16 a heck [cheering] of a

1:14:17 Oh, gosh, they I don't think they

1:14:20 Probably lubed up the slip and slide

1:14:22 there.

1:14:24 Long story short, feel like Bining was

1:14:25 due for that. I think you were just

1:14:27 wrong place, wrong time.

1:14:29 Yeah.

1:14:30 Good swing.

1:14:36 Oh my goodness. And now getting out of

1:14:39 that town.

1:14:41 Looks like he's out at [music] Lake

1:14:42 Winnipesaukee.

1:14:47 Got himself a little tube action. Are

1:14:49 you a avid tuber, Connor?

1:14:57 >> [laughter]

1:15:05 >> I mean, it's got to be tough to get the

1:15:06 6-8 [music] frame into the tube, though.

1:15:19 Really? You're a big spirit guy.

1:15:23 Oh, gosh.

1:15:25 Come over to the dark side.

1:15:28 Come to the United world.

1:15:30 No free ads.

1:15:33 Great pitch.

1:15:34 Do you ever envision your grandpa's wall

1:15:37 behind the dish? 100%. Right here.

1:15:40 This is grandpa's wall.

1:15:44 Yeah. Where Zappy's glove is one of

1:15:47 those boards that you're going to punch

1:15:48 right through? That's right.

1:15:50 >> [laughter]

1:15:55 >> Now, like I said here, be a salesman and

1:15:57 make a pitch.

1:16:03 >> [music]

1:16:08 >> And Tail doesn't bite on the bender.

1:16:18 Oh, yeah.

1:16:23 Oh, he's still your count here, Connor.

1:16:25 Yeah, I got to make another pitch here.

1:16:26 Do you go back to the gas?

1:16:28 No, I think we're going to slow it down.

1:16:33 Oh, he wanted that. Yes, he did.

1:16:37 I mean, Grisafi might might as well be

1:16:39 your grandpa's wall back there. Nothing

1:16:41 gets by him.

1:16:48 >> Out to left center. Alexiades on his

1:16:51 horse, and that's going to bounce off

1:16:54 the wall.

1:16:55 Intel his second double of the game,

1:16:57 fourth of the weekend.

1:17:00 That guy's seeing beach balls.

1:17:09 So, now Eric Osmer Burke, who's

1:17:11 You got to fly into that wild 9-5 double

1:17:14 play.

1:17:33 Probably sticking with the gas, just

1:17:34 trying to get into this count.

1:17:37 I think so.

1:17:40 Here we go, Burke.

1:17:46 That's just a strike. You like that?

1:17:49 Osmer was thinking gas, too.

1:17:52 Yeah, he was.

1:18:04 Is that the change up there? That was.

1:18:06 Just missed.

1:18:18 Connor Harris, heck of a job, man.

1:18:22 Oh, wow, that was a glove trap.

1:18:24 Reselects Alexiades. A sneaky third

1:18:26 trick play tonight. He's got a sly smile

1:18:29 on his face, too.

1:18:32 >> [cheering]

1:18:33 >> Connor, when you run into a tough inning

1:18:35 like this, is there anything you lean on

1:18:37 in particular to battle through?

1:18:39 I lean on my teammates. I'm very blessed

1:18:41 to be a part of this team and I love

1:18:43 every single one of these guys,

1:18:44 including Stilts right here. Pretty rare

1:18:46 you get to hand the ball off to someone

1:18:47 taller than you. Yeah, right. And I

1:18:49 embrace that every time. Connor, thank

1:18:51 you so much for joining us. Thanks for

1:18:52 joining us, Connor. You guys are

1:18:54 awesome. Appreciate you.

1:18:58 So, from naturally the tallest athlete

1:19:00 in the sport to our artificial

1:19:04 tallest man, not just in the sport, not

1:19:06 just on the earth,

1:19:08 in the known universe,

1:19:09 the legend of Banana Land, the pride of

1:19:12 Ellaville, Georgia, Dakota Stilts

1:19:14 Albritton,

1:19:15 10 ft 11 in with his leg extenders.

1:19:18 With the help of his leg extenders.

1:19:23 >> [cheering]

1:19:25 >> Had a tough outing against the Coconuts

1:19:27 Thursday night. They were able to rally

1:19:28 for three runs against him.

1:19:31 But he bounced back

1:19:33 and got his man last night.

1:19:36 This is now three straight ball games

1:19:37 Stilts being utilized. And he's looking

1:19:39 for revenge against J.D. Urs who had an

1:19:41 opposite field hit against him on

1:19:43 Thursday night.

1:19:45 And Stilts having a hard time finding

1:19:47 the zone with each of his first three

1:19:49 deliveries.

1:19:54 That is four straight balls and Tell

1:19:56 will score easily from second making it

1:19:59 a five run frame for Loco Beach.

1:20:02 As Urs has

1:20:04 got himself

1:20:05 his third RBI of the weekend,

1:20:08 which doubles his RBI total on the year.

1:20:11 Came in with three, he's up to six now.

1:20:14 I think Mark Racco is going to have a

1:20:15 really tough time

1:20:17 keeping J.D. Urs out of this lineup.

1:20:20 He's been fantastic this weekend.

1:20:22 Yeah, it's just great to see from Urs

1:20:24 who again has gotten such sparing play

1:20:27 time over the last or over the first

1:20:29 couple months.

1:20:31 Now, Grady Morgan hits this one high in

1:20:33 the air to right field. Ty Jackson camps

1:20:35 under it and makes the grab. And that

1:20:38 will cap a five-run inning for the

1:20:40 Coconut in the top of the third. They'll

1:20:42 look to earn their first point when we

1:20:44 come back on the CW.

1:20:57 without a permanent home. To raise

1:20:59 awareness and support this community, we

1:21:02 created Bananas Foster, the official

1:21:05 nonprofit of Banana Ball. Our

1:21:08 organization is dedicated to celebrating

1:21:10 the foster care community while

1:21:12 educating and inspiring others to get

1:21:15 involved. And tonight, we are

1:21:17 celebrating the Marine family.

1:21:20 As a single college student, Tammy

1:21:22 became involved in fostering by doing

1:21:24 kinship with her nieces. She then met

1:21:27 her husband, Rafael, who quickly became

1:21:30 involved. They support sibling groups,

1:21:33 children with specific medical needs,

1:21:35 and do respite care for other families.

1:21:39 In total, they have welcomed 23 children

1:21:43 into their home.

1:21:46 Fans, please help us celebrate this

1:21:48 family for their impact in our

1:21:50 community.

1:22:08 >> [music]

1:22:16 [music]

1:22:22 >> Ladies and gentlemen, one more [music]

1:22:24 time for tonight's

1:22:26 Bananas Foster family of the night.

1:22:30 For more information about Bananas

1:22:32 Foster, you can text bunch to 50155

1:22:35 and show your support.

1:22:39 Now, what do you say we get those hands

1:22:41 clapping and direct your attention to

1:22:45 Welcome back to historic Grayson Stadium

1:22:47 where Banana Ball on the CW is brought

1:22:49 to you by [music] PNC Bank. Brilliantly

1:22:52 boring since 1865.

1:22:58 Bananas won the first inning

1:23:01 claiming [music] the first point

1:23:02 tonight. It was a scoreless second frame

1:23:04 and then the Coconut's [music] offense

1:23:06 went bonkers. A five-run top of the

1:23:09 third inning and now a golden

1:23:10 opportunity to tie things up in the

1:23:13 all-important points department as the

1:23:15 world-famous Banana Band blasts away in

1:23:17 the middle of the third.

1:23:18 >> But we've seen the Bananas come away

1:23:20 with some big responses to big innings

1:23:22 offensively for Loco Beach this week.

1:23:25 Again, Thursday night, Coconuts had six

1:23:27 runs in the sixth inning, the Bananas

1:23:28 had four in the bottom half. The

1:23:30 Coconuts did still earn a point, but we

1:23:32 saw last night, three runs for Loco

1:23:35 Beach in the eighth inning, the Bananas

1:23:37 matched them in the bottom half to deny

1:23:39 a point. Time to see if they can start a

1:23:42 pretty wild rally as Easton Parish

1:23:44 drawing his first start of 2026 is in

1:23:48 the left-handed batter's box. He was an

1:23:51 all-world teammate.

1:23:54 Banana squad thrilled to see EP getting

1:23:57 the first start of his Banana Ball

1:23:58 career here in the team's 21st game of

1:24:01 the season.

1:24:02 He spoils the one-two offering from Will

1:24:04 Ethridge.

1:24:06 Settled in.

1:24:08 Put up a zero facing just four hitters

1:24:10 in the second.

1:24:11 Great scoop, Eric Asberg.

1:24:14 Keeps Parish in the box. Two-two count

1:24:16 now. The .111 batting average is

1:24:18 deceiving.

1:24:19 He's just one for nine on the year with

1:24:21 three ball four sprints.

1:24:24 And he's had tough luck. He's fouled out

1:24:25 to the fans twice.

1:24:30 Works the count full. Another great pick

1:24:32 by Osberg. And those two foul outs have

1:24:33 come in 12 total plate appearances for

1:24:36 Easton Parish. It's unbelievable bad

1:24:38 luck to start his young career as the

1:24:41 payoff is skyed into center field and

1:24:44 this one is going to be over THE HEAD OF

1:24:46 BEN PARKER AND CLEARED THE WALL. EASTON

1:24:50 PARISH, his first career BANANA BALL

1:24:53 BOMB.

1:24:58 AND HE'S FIRED UP AS HE SHOULD BE. THAT

1:25:00 WAS A BIG BOY SMASH OUT TO LEFT CENTER

1:25:03 FIELD OVER the 16-ft historic Grayson

1:25:07 Stadium scoreboard. SAM BOWMAN, GRAB

1:25:10 THAT ROOKIE.

1:25:12 Easton Parish, YOUR FIRST START. How's

1:25:14 that

1:25:14 line up? How was that?

1:25:16 >> Yeah. Amazing. Because of them.

1:25:19 Trust me. Ultimate teammate. You guys

1:25:20 Nothing for me. I love these dudes.

1:25:22 Ultimate teammate, guys. You said it.

1:25:25 Jacobo can't come up with the bare hand

1:25:27 and I'll tell you what, by the time Sal

1:25:29 got to the ball,

1:25:30 Max Young Goldberg hustling was already

1:25:32 stepping on first base.

1:25:35 The sophomore in the sport did not have

1:25:37 a chance and MJG

1:25:39 taken off the bags

1:25:42 by JT Sokolove, the Bananas designated

1:25:44 runner,

1:25:45 who could pinch run one time every trip

1:25:47 through the order

1:25:49 with no penalty. Young Goldberg still in

1:25:50 this ball game.

1:25:53 As we go back to the top, DR singled and

1:25:54 scored the inning-winning run in the

1:25:56 first.

1:25:59 And he cranks this out to left but

1:26:01 straight to Tanner Allen.

1:26:03 Good lumber once again from Meadows.

1:26:06 Just nothing to show for it on the line

1:26:08 out.

1:26:13 And a big first out

1:26:15 for Ethridge.

1:26:19 As he sets his sights on another fellow

1:26:21 farmhand in Robert Anthony Cruz. Can't

1:26:24 connect on the two-seamer. Rack worked a

1:26:26 sprint his first time.

1:26:28 Tell you Will Ethridge, a guy who

1:26:30 was so thrilled to get into this sport.

1:26:33 All the talent in the world.

1:26:38 Spent 3 years at the University of

1:26:39 Mississippi.

1:26:41 He was a freshman All-American at Ole

1:26:44 Miss.

1:26:51 And then 5 years in the Rockies

1:26:53 organization. Spent a couple years at

1:26:54 double-A in Hartford, Connecticut.

1:26:58 It is a live arm

1:27:00 from a big 6-5 frame. He's got an

1:27:02 awesome pedigree and in 2020 he was the

1:27:05 number 21 ranked prospect in the Rockies

1:27:08 system. I mean, they truly believed in

1:27:11 this guy. Made it as high as double-A in

1:27:13 their system.

1:27:15 And now he's, you know, one of those

1:27:17 experienced arms joining this Coconuts

1:27:19 team but having a hard time.

1:27:22 Well, no, he's going to get a call on

1:27:24 Robert Anthony Cruz there.

1:27:26 That evens up the count at two and two.

1:27:29 Socol deep down the steal.

1:27:32 This time he will take off

1:27:34 and have to retreat back to first on the

1:27:36 foul ball.

1:27:47 And the pedigree from Ethridge goes all

1:27:48 the way back to his Parkview High School

1:27:50 days. He was a Louisville Slugger first

1:27:51 team All-American as a senior.

1:27:57 And the winning pitcher as a junior in

1:27:59 the Georgia State Championship game. I

1:28:01 mean, this is

1:28:02 this guy through and through is a heck

1:28:04 of a ballplayer.

1:28:04 >> And and Parkview has produced some great

1:28:06 talent over the years. Jeff Francoeur,

1:28:08 Matt Olson as well. Will Ethridge,

1:28:11 another guy in those ranks when you talk

1:28:14 about guys who wound up in affiliated

1:28:16 ball. Great battle with Rack. Cruz comes

1:28:20 out victorious

1:28:21 with the flare knock into right.

1:28:25 And talking to Ryan Cox before the game,

1:28:27 this is something he mentioned. Feels

1:28:29 like the squad has got their mojo back.

1:28:33 Talked about it ad nauseam this weekend.

1:28:35 They haven't won a series since April

1:28:37 11th and 12th up in Chapel Hill against

1:28:39 the Tailgaters.

1:28:42 But Rack or Cox rather really liked that

1:28:46 when they fell behind six runs

1:28:48 on Thursday night, they had a four-run

1:28:50 rally. When they fell behind by three

1:28:52 runs in the first inning last night,

1:28:53 they rallied for two runs.

1:28:57 Said this team is starting to remember

1:28:59 that anything is possible even

1:29:01 when the opponent's offense goes bananas

1:29:04 as Macio Harrison goes bananas on the

1:29:06 turf.

1:29:11 Golly.

1:29:13 Perfect time to cut to the Nanners as

1:29:16 the first base coach always going

1:29:17 bananas on that turf. Yes, but that was

1:29:20 in a special way right there. Tell you

1:29:22 what.

1:29:23 An intimate

1:29:25 >> [laughter]

1:29:25 >> You could say that.

1:29:33 One two to Dan Oberst. Swing and a miss.

1:29:36 Nasty curveball from Ethridge

1:29:38 disappearing act on that one and he

1:29:40 pulls out his signature dancing

1:29:42 celebration on his second punch out of

1:29:44 the ballgame. And his first strikeout

1:29:46 swinging of the evening. Great execution

1:29:49 there from Ethridge burying that one

1:29:51 against Dan Oberst.

1:29:53 And now Reese Alexiades who has been the

1:29:55 walk-off king this weekend for the

1:29:57 Bananas takes ball one and JT Sokolove

1:30:01 swipes third base for the Nanners.

1:30:05 Osterberg no throw. He didn't a chance.

1:30:09 And that one does

1:30:11 scrape the low outside corner. Very

1:30:13 similar pitch to the first offering.

1:30:15 Just a little bit better in the eyes of

1:30:17 Kelly Dine.

1:30:19 That one all the way to the backstop.

1:30:20 Sokolov's going to score. Rack will go

1:30:22 up to second.

1:30:24 >> [cheering]

1:30:25 >> And now two runs across for the Bananas.

1:30:32 But it doesn't change the fact [music]

1:30:33 that the inning-tying run is in the

1:30:35 on-deck circle in the form of Kyle

1:30:36 Jackson. Really, the only duty here for

1:30:38 Reese Alexiades is to reach base

1:30:40 somehow. And Reese was tapping his chest

1:30:43 after that wild pitch. He's telling his

1:30:45 teammates, "Hey, that's my bad for not

1:30:47 swiping first." Now he chops this to the

1:30:50 shortstop, Shota Tonney. And he goes

1:30:52 between the legs and throws to Brewer in

1:30:55 time to cap the third inning and put a

1:30:58 point on the board for Loco Beach. We

1:31:01 are knotted at one each through three

1:31:03 innings of action in this rubber match

1:31:06 of this three-game set.

1:31:13 >> [music]

1:31:21 >> man of Bananas. And then I thought of

1:31:22 this other term, man of the house. And

1:31:24 so we decided we would have a little

1:31:25 competition this

1:31:26 >> will tell you what, YouTube, it is just

1:31:29 us.

1:31:30 And And boy, do I have a treat for you

1:31:33 in about 10 seconds.

1:31:36 You're never going to see this coming.

1:31:38 Ooh, nice to see the coconut and banana

1:31:40 emojis in the chat. From the Disney

1:31:43 Baker.

1:31:45 Yes, you are right, crazy Savannah

1:31:47 Bananas fan. Bananas are the home team

1:31:48 tonight.

1:31:51 And guess what?

1:31:53 Better late than never. That was a DQ

1:31:55 Shake Shack. Dan Obers fouling out to

1:31:58 the fans in the bottom of the The

1:32:00 inning. The fan who caught the foul ball

1:32:02 won free DQ for their row, and you can

1:32:06 win at home by scanning this QR code to

1:32:09 download the DQ app and earn your own

1:32:11 rewards.

1:32:13 There's the QR code.

1:32:19 Never saw that coming. I told you,

1:32:20 YouTube.

1:32:22 >> [cheering]

1:32:23 >> Got to keep you on your toes.

1:32:28 And wait till you hear what Josh has for

1:32:30 you coming back on the CW. He is He's

1:32:34 >> [cheering]

1:32:40 [cheering]

1:32:44 >> Next Saturday, the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto

1:32:47 Parts Series heads to the legendary

1:32:48 [music]

1:32:49 Charlotte Motor Speedway for a showdown

1:32:51 you won't want to miss. Don't miss a

1:32:53 second of pure raw racing from Charlotte

1:32:56 next Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Eastern, 1:00

1:32:58 p.m. Pacific, only on the CW.

1:33:08 I like when the cars make those noises.

1:33:10 I'm a big fan of that.

1:33:12 Corey Day, the victor at Dover this

1:33:14 afternoon.

1:33:20 Heck of a win after 200 laps.

1:33:23 And now Peyton Shatney gets to swing the

1:33:25 stick for the first time after

1:33:27 he was pinch hit for by Caden Bowler on

1:33:30 his infamous Bowler board.

1:33:32 See the batting average there, 188,

1:33:34 below the Mendoza line. I would

1:33:37 be absolutely gobsmacked if

1:33:40 that is where Shatney ends this year

1:33:43 when it comes to hitting.

1:33:44 Kid out of Cypress, Texas.

1:33:48 National champion at the University of

1:33:49 Mississippi in 2022.

1:33:56 And a 260 hitter

1:33:59 across his four years in Oxford and

1:34:03 his final campaign at TCU.

1:34:06 Yeah, but the thing is you can pencil

1:34:07 him in that 10 spot and just hope that

1:34:09 he starts to get that confidence, that

1:34:11 mojo going at the plate again.

1:34:12 >> Look at that.

1:34:13 >> And it's Shawn Toney, first AB of the

1:34:15 evening, lining this one into left

1:34:18 center for a lead-off knock.

1:34:20 That makes him two for seven on the

1:34:22 weekend. Pound of the chest.

1:34:25 As the Loco Beach Coconut's third-round

1:34:27 draft pick gets the knock against the

1:34:29 Bananas' third-round draft pick, Kyle

1:34:32 Lewis.

1:34:34 First man out of the pan as that ball is

1:34:36 blasted into left. Ben Parker, have

1:34:38 yourself an evening.

1:34:40 Two for three now, a double his last

1:34:42 time,

1:34:43 which kick-started that five-run third

1:34:45 inning.

1:34:53 And you just go back to his last five

1:34:55 plate appearances.

1:34:57 Double, homer, flyout, double, single.

1:35:00 And they have all been hit very hard.

1:35:03 As TA swaps this towards his bullpen. KP

1:35:07 can't make the catch behind his back.

1:35:09 Off camera. Well, now you've seen Ben

1:35:11 Parker, 12 of his first 21 career games

1:35:14 have been multi-hit contests. This guy

1:35:17 is unbelievable. I mean, you see exactly

1:35:19 why he's in that lead-off spot. And

1:35:21 Tanner Allen leading the Banana Ball

1:35:23 Championship League in hits. Hits this

1:35:25 to right field. And the throw from

1:35:27 Jackson just a little off line for Bryce

1:35:30 Grazaffi. The Coconuts with runs in

1:35:34 back-to-back innings now. And guys on

1:35:37 the corners with still no outs against

1:35:40 Cowboy Kyle Lewis.

1:35:42 Yeah, talk about

1:35:44 a multi-hit performance. TA now three

1:35:46 for three as that check swing is foul.

1:35:49 And talk about unbelievable. Tanner

1:35:51 Allen

1:35:53 nine for 11 on the weekend. He's reached

1:35:55 base 10 out of 12 plate appearances when

1:35:58 you factor in his steal of first.

1:36:00 Fastball. Right down the chute. And past

1:36:04 a big swing from Big Timber.

1:36:10 The O2.

1:36:12 Will be a long run for Ty Jackson as

1:36:14 this one into foul territory. Ty just

1:36:17 ran out of room. That was a heck of an

1:36:18 effort. Now we hope that Ty's okay.

1:36:25 Little slow to get up, but

1:36:27 able to get up on his own checking in

1:36:29 there with Tristan Leveque.

1:36:34 But in his outfield, he's playing Toplin

1:36:35 to pull. So Ty was in right center.

1:36:45 And another opportunity in foul

1:36:47 territory. This time it's Alex Ziegler

1:36:49 and a leaping catch. No.

1:36:53 Gets tied up in the net. Another life

1:36:55 for Toplin.

1:36:57 Yeah, just playing spoiler right now

1:36:59 against Cowboy Kyle Lewis. So it's good

1:37:01 to see as Lewis is pretty dialed into

1:37:03 the zone here against Big Timber.

1:37:06 And trying to continue to pour in these

1:37:08 strikes as the fifth offering from Lewis

1:37:11 [cheering] is blocked in the turf by

1:37:13 Grizz.

1:37:15 Bryce Grazzini has been automatic in

1:37:16 that regard

1:37:18 so far tonight.

1:37:21 Smothering anything that bounces.

1:37:24 And Toplin trying to check. Kelly Don

1:37:26 makes the call herself.

1:37:29 Says that Dane went around.

1:37:31 And as he is heading back to the dugout

1:37:33 and Grazzini, yeah, there it is. Kyle

1:37:35 reciprocates

1:37:37 on the belt buckle shuffle

1:37:40 from his rookie backstop.

1:37:46 Jordan Brewer foul tip into the mitt of

1:37:48 Grizz.

1:37:55 Brewer singled back in the first inning

1:37:57 and RBI sac fly

1:37:59 an inning ago.

1:38:06 And then he has to

1:38:08 jump out of the way of the fastball.

1:38:11 Willix primarily fastball, slider,

1:38:13 curveball, changeup and cutter will be

1:38:15 used from time to time.

1:38:18 Keep opponents honest.

1:38:27 He's got Parker on third, Allen on

1:38:29 first. One out now. One run already

1:38:32 home.

1:38:33 And this one fouled off of Brewer.

1:38:34 [music]

1:38:45 That never feels good, but Jordan right

1:38:47 back into the box.

1:38:49 Ready for a 2-2.

1:38:51 Popped

1:38:53 infield.

1:38:54 Who's going to make the call? KJ late

1:38:57 call makes the snap.

1:38:59 Taking control of what was becoming a

1:39:01 dicey situation as there are two outs

1:39:04 now. Yeah, and the way in which Alex

1:39:05 Ziegler was ranging towards that banana

1:39:07 ball, looks like he couldn't exactly

1:39:09 find it in the lights. Kyle Jackson

1:39:11 meanwhile tracked it well. A smart call

1:39:14 by the banana ball superstar over there

1:39:16 at the hot corner to record a massive

1:39:19 second out for Willix as this one is

1:39:22 going to get by Grizzaphi. And that wild

1:39:25 pitch will lead to Ben Parker crossing

1:39:28 the plate for Loco Beach.

1:39:30 Two runs now for the Coconuts here in

1:39:32 the top of the fourth after their

1:39:34 five-run third inning led to

1:39:36 >> [music]

1:39:36 >> their first point of the affair.

1:39:38 Allen up to second.

1:39:41 I felt like I may have had a broadcast

1:39:43 jinx in the works when I said Grazaffi

1:39:45 has stopped every single ball in the

1:39:47 turf tonight.

1:39:49 Finally, not able to save his pitcher.

1:39:53 Big swing and miss from Vining.

1:39:56 2-1 on Ashby. Fly out his first time a

1:39:59 booming solo home run

1:40:01 an inning ago.

1:40:05 And that one right through the wickets.

1:40:06 It's another wild pitch as Allen

1:40:09 will go over to third base.

1:40:16 For Vining, his second homer of the

1:40:17 year. Was talking about with Connor

1:40:19 Harris on the mic. It was only a matter

1:40:21 of time. Felt like he was homering

1:40:22 nearly every at bat in spring training.

1:40:26 Had three homers in five games when he

1:40:28 was on Banana Ball's developmental team

1:40:29 the Visitors last year.

1:40:32 And he set

1:40:34 Saint Peter's University's home run

1:40:36 record as a junior with 10 and then tied

1:40:38 it again as a senior last spring.

1:40:42 Chance for KJ. Long throw.

1:40:45 And it's off line. Allen will score.

1:40:49 Vining doing a heck of a job just

1:40:50 putting the ball in play

1:40:53 as it's now a three spot

1:40:55 for Loco Beach.

1:40:57 And I'll tell you what, these coconuts

1:40:59 have been so pesky all night long. Ashby

1:41:02 Vining, the ninth of 25 total batters

1:41:06 tonight to work a plate appearance at

1:41:08 least six pitches against the Savannah

1:41:11 Bananas. There've been a lot of long

1:41:14 laborious battles for Connor Harris,

1:41:17 Cole Stillwell Britten, and now Luigs,

1:41:20 who's over eight minutes when it comes

1:41:22 to his MPI here in the fourth.

1:41:25 And the official scoring on that one?

1:41:29 I think there was a behind-the-back

1:41:30 transition.

1:41:32 Was there not?

1:41:33 >> If there was, [music] I missed it.

1:41:39 2-1 here on Gideon Antell.

1:41:46 Yeah, that's an E6.

1:41:48 E5. Or E5, yes, thank you. Just for

1:41:51 anybody scoring at home.

1:41:53 You've given away a good amount of score

1:41:55 books across the years. Sure folks are

1:41:57 doing it. Antell, no way.

1:41:59 That was called a strike?

1:42:02 Gosh, this has got to feel like deja vu

1:42:04 all over again for Gideon. His first

1:42:06 ever banana ball game had a

1:42:08 couple tough calls.

1:42:10 One egregious one against him. Should

1:42:11 have had You see Kyle smiling. He knows

1:42:13 he got away with one. Great frame by

1:42:15 Grazzini. That should have been a sprint

1:42:17 for Antell. And instead he lines it to

1:42:20 Rack who makes a jumping catch out in

1:42:22 left.

1:42:23 So a gift for Louix

1:42:26 gets him out of the frame.

1:42:27 But the Coconut strike for three runs

1:42:30 and have a heck of a chance to claim

1:42:31 their second point in [music] this ball

1:42:32 game.

1:42:43 standing. I also need you to get your

1:42:45 hands up in the air. HANDS WAY UP IN THE

1:42:47 AIR CUZ IT'S TIME FOR A LITTLE HEY

1:42:50 [screaming] BABY. OKAY, ladies and

1:42:52 GENTLEMEN START CLAPPING.

1:42:55 IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA

1:42:57 we want you to sing. Okay, put your

1:42:59 hands up in the air. Be handing in your

1:43:01 So clear your throats.

1:43:02 Let's get ready.

1:43:16 That's pretty good, but let's get a

1:43:18 little louder.

1:43:31 You keep clapping, we're going to

1:43:32 shuffle.

1:43:34 When I saw you

1:43:35 >> [music]

1:43:41 [music]

1:43:46 >> All right, here we go.

1:43:59 All right, last one, best one, get loud.

1:44:13 Oh, yeah, keep that energy going and

1:44:15 LET'S GO, VANILLA.

1:44:39 THIS TUESDAY ON NXT, TWO champions are

1:44:42 on the line. The women's champion is up

1:44:45 for grabs in an explosive, hard-hitting

1:44:47 showdown, and the tag [music] team

1:44:49 championship is equally at stake. WWE

1:44:52 NXT Tuesday at 8:00 7:00 Central, right

1:44:56 here on the CW.

1:45:00 To the home half of the fourth we go.

1:45:02 Will Ethridge out for another inning of

1:45:04 work after five runs of support in the

1:45:07 third frame, he's got three runs to work

1:45:10 with here.

1:45:11 And trying to put his coconuts ahead for

1:45:13 the first time tonight.

1:45:17 KJ, what do you got?

1:45:26 >> [music]

1:45:46 [music]

1:45:50 [music]

1:46:02 [music]

1:46:08 [music]

1:46:32 >> Kyle Jackson, Harry Styles.

1:46:35 Name a better combo.

1:46:39 Now, I know that was KJ's walk-up, but I

1:46:42 I'm curious. Do you think that Jackson

1:46:44 Olson, who's about to be on season 35 of

1:46:46 Dancing with the Stars, can maybe pull

1:46:48 some of that back out when he's a

1:46:50 contestant? I think it's fair game. I

1:46:52 would say so, and I would like to see

1:46:55 it. I mean, this one was on the CW, that

1:46:57 will be on ABC, so it's like different

1:46:59 audiences, right?

1:47:02 One, two count on KJ. Five, six, and

1:47:05 seven due to swing it for the Nanners.

1:47:06 Cox on deck, Ty Jackson in the hole.

1:47:09 Chasing three runs.

1:47:12 And sprayed the opposite way. Great

1:47:14 piece of hitting from Kyle Jackson. Now

1:47:16 one for two

1:47:17 on the evening.

1:47:19 I just thought of a combo that might be

1:47:21 as good

1:47:22 as KJ and Harry Styles.

1:47:24 Pot roast and mashed potatoes.

1:47:26 >> [cheering]

1:47:27 >> Okay. Needs gravy, though. So, it's like

1:47:30 >> [music]

1:47:30 >> kind of cheating at that point.

1:47:32 >> Okay.

1:47:33 Peanut butter and chocolate.

1:47:35 Yep, you're right. It's up there. These

1:47:37 are all S-tier. Shaggy and Scooby-Doo.

1:47:39 S-tier.

1:47:42 As good as they get.

1:47:45 For all my fellow 2000s kids, Shrek and

1:47:48 Donkey. Oh, yeah.

1:47:50 Okay, good. I'm I'm glad that you're

1:47:52 [music] you're on board with me there.

1:47:53 Well, Baltimore chopper, Jacabo to

1:47:56 second for one, over to Brewer.

1:47:59 4-2.

1:48:02 Hunter Aris made us wait for the call,

1:48:03 but that's a heck of a 4-3 twin killing.

1:48:07 And you see the coconuts, WHETHER THEY

1:48:09 DOUBLE OR WHETHER THEY TURN TWO, THEY DO

1:48:11 THAT SIGNATURE CELEBRATION, standing on

1:48:14 their heads and rolling over. That was a

1:48:17 super athletic play from Sal Jacabo. But

1:48:20 when you see exactly why Mark Crocco

1:48:21 wanted to utilize him as that designated

1:48:24 fielder tonight.

1:48:26 A quick two outs for Will Ethridge.

1:48:29 Okay, [laughter] AJ dancing in the

1:48:31 background.

1:48:33 Looked like me on the dance floor at my

1:48:34 cousin Ben's wedding last night.

1:48:39 Just kidding, I'm a lot more proud of my

1:48:40 dance moves than what AJ was just

1:48:42 breaking out.

1:48:42 >> Your moves are pretty nifty. Love him.

1:48:44 Yes, it's a unique skill set I have

1:48:46 acquired.

1:48:49 Two balls and a strike on Ty Two Fly, a

1:48:51 double. His first time as he knifes this

1:48:54 foul.

1:49:07 Little Boogie got a smile from Ty.

1:49:12 And look at that. All right, little duet

1:49:14 going on.

1:49:15 >> battling it away, Ty Jackson

1:49:18 continuing to dance with Will Ethridge.

1:49:21 It's good to see even in the heat of

1:49:22 battle two guys just having fun on the

1:49:24 diamond and Ethridge MAYBE PLAYING SOME

1:49:27 MIND GAMES WITH TY TOO FLY. COLLECT

1:49:30 STRIKEOUT number three and it's the

1:49:33 first lead of the night for Loco Beach

1:49:35 now up two to one. Another look at the

1:49:38 filthy deuce.

1:49:40 Will Ethridge

1:49:42 puts another point on the board for Loco

1:49:44 Beach.

1:49:45 They were up by one through four

1:49:47 innings. And that wasn't appreciated by

1:49:50 Ty Jackson. Tanner Allen three for

1:49:51 [music] three tonight means he has a

1:49:53 four hit lead

1:49:55 on Jackie Bradley Jr. and company and

1:49:58 look at those coconuts. Toplin, Parker,

1:50:01 and Antel. It's four coconuts and JBJ

1:50:05 atop the hit leader board. I mean it

1:50:07 just goes to show just how impressive

1:50:09 and talented this team is offensively.

1:50:12 That was the priority for Mark Crocco

1:50:14 [music] when he was going into that

1:50:15 expansion draft and a lot of things are

1:50:18 really paying off for Loco Beach here

1:50:21 tonight. Five runs in the third, [music]

1:50:24 three in the fourth, and you talked

1:50:26 about Tanner Allen now pacing the BBCL

1:50:29 in hits. You see nine this weekend. He

1:50:31 has had three consecutive three hit

1:50:34 games and that includes tonight.

1:50:42 Looks like the coconuts

1:50:43 have some super soak in tow. Armani

1:50:46 Henderson and company

1:50:47 are packing heat.

1:50:51 As Cowboy Kyle Lewis out for a second

1:50:53 inning of work.

1:50:57 We head to the top of the fifth inning.

1:51:01 I wager the coconuts have something

1:51:02 special in tow.

1:51:05 Caden Bowler

1:51:07 What's up, dude?

1:51:08 Let's go to the beach, beach. Let's

1:51:10 Let's a wave, babe. Say what they going

1:51:12 to say. Have a drink, clink, found a Bud

1:51:14 Light that LIKE ME IS HARD TO COME BY.

1:51:17 >> [music]

1:51:23 [music]

1:51:46 [music]

1:51:49 >> From the Women's Professional Baseball

1:51:51 League,

1:51:52 number two The Neva Benitez

1:51:54 the rookie

1:51:56 quickly has become a fan favorite.

1:51:59 And it's no surprise to any

1:52:01 of

1:52:03 her USA National Women's Baseball Team

1:52:05 teammates.

1:52:07 Val Perez, before Benitez

1:52:10 played an inning of Banana Ball.

1:52:12 Said her whole personality is built for

1:52:14 this place.

1:52:17 And Mark Racco is absolutely juiced to

1:52:19 get her. I mean

1:52:21 take a look at the Party Plaza after

1:52:22 Coconut's games. The longest line for

1:52:25 Loco Beach is in Benitez's autograph and

1:52:28 picture line. As she barrels this down

1:52:29 the left field line. Foul.

1:52:31 >> [laughter]

1:52:32 >> Nice bare-handed stab.

1:52:37 >> [laughter]

1:52:37 >> COCONUT'S BULLPEN CATCHER

1:52:40 WHILE HE'S EATING DORITOS. WHAT? No free

1:52:44 ads, but that's got to be a commercial.

1:52:46 I mean, that's like

1:52:48 that's too good to be true.

1:52:53 Called strike three. Wow, low strike

1:52:55 called there on Benitez as Luigs rings

1:52:57 the bell.

1:53:05 >> [cheering]

1:53:07 >> And JD Urso fouls off the fastball.

1:53:11 Double, ball four, sprint, and an RBI

1:53:14 tonight for Urso.

1:53:18 Prior to Tampa, Florida.

1:53:20 As he scorches this, it's off the glove

1:53:23 of Olson.

1:53:25 That's got to be another hit, I would

1:53:27 imagine.

1:53:27 >> Oh, yeah. Barrel from J.D. Urso, and

1:53:30 I'll tell you what, Olson,

1:53:32 that's a really tough pick to make. It

1:53:33 ricochets off his glove, unfortunately,

1:53:36 pretty much right to Ryan Cox.

1:53:38 So, able to keep that, for the most

1:53:40 part, in the infield, what you would

1:53:42 classify as the infield, and keep Urso

1:53:44 from potentially getting another base if

1:53:47 that banana ball's just sitting in

1:53:49 shallow center field.

1:53:56 Grady Morgan, hungry to join the hit

1:53:58 parade.

1:54:00 Can't connect on the changeup from

1:54:01 Luigs.

1:54:07 Grady has

1:54:08 as much natural power as I think

1:54:10 you're legally allowed to put into a

1:54:12 human being.

1:54:15 Coconuts 10th rounder, that's another

1:54:16 great stop from Grazzafi.

1:54:19 Coming off 2 years in the Pioneer League

1:54:21 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Playing for the

1:54:23 Chuckers.

1:54:30 As he swats this the opposite way, long

1:54:32 run FOR RACK.

1:54:34 BACKFLIP CATCH! ROBERT ANTHONY CRUZ,

1:54:37 ridiculous stuff

1:54:39 to take care of Morgan. And now,

1:54:41 backflip catches on back-to-back nights

1:54:44 for the Savannah Bananas. You see him

1:54:46 having to range quite a way, but it kind

1:54:49 of helps him propel into that motion of

1:54:52 the flip

1:54:53 before that ball lands in his glove, and

1:54:56 gets the Bananas their sixth trick play

1:54:59 tonight.

1:55:05 2-0 count on Sha Tony.

1:55:08 A single in his lone trip to the dish.

1:55:13 And a turf cutter

1:55:15 to Cox whipping it between the legs over

1:55:17 to Zeigler for the trick play from the

1:55:20 glove magician.

1:55:22 As Ludix puts up a much needed zero for

1:55:25 his Nanners.

1:55:27 Yeah, and that was much needed and much

1:55:30 needed quick inning I should say. Kyle

1:55:32 Ludix 3 minutes and 10 seconds there on

1:55:34 the pitcher's mound the fastest inning

1:55:36 for any Savannah Banana and a big key to

1:55:39 that inning for Cowboy Kai was just

1:55:41 keeping the lead off man off base for

1:55:43 the Coconuts the first time the Bananas

1:55:46 were able to do that since the first

1:55:48 inning.

1:55:50 And in the middle of it all

1:55:51 one of one Kyle Perry

1:55:54 sophomore in the sport he was the only

1:55:56 rookie

1:55:57 on the Savannah Banana squad a year ago.

1:56:00 Native of Omaha, Nebraska the numbers

1:56:03 fantastic here on his second world tour

1:56:05 across 13 innings a 4.15 ERA.

1:56:09 And one pitch Sal Giacobbo between the

1:56:12 legs with the dribble.

1:56:14 Just in time

1:56:16 for the out.

1:56:18 Well, that's a little adventurous trick

1:56:20 play for Sal Giacobbo almost cutting it

1:56:22 a little too close. Nonetheless, the

1:56:25 Coconuts designated fielder on the board

1:56:27 in that trick play department. And you

1:56:29 see another quick swing for the Bananas

1:56:33 Eastern Parish able to reach with a

1:56:35 single.

1:56:37 So, Parish 2 for 2 TANNER ALLEN WELCOME

1:56:40 TO THE BROADCAST MY FRIEND. FELLAS, how

1:56:42 we doing? Fantastic, but I don't think

1:56:45 we could be doing as good as you are.

1:56:48 I tell everybody I meet they say the one

1:56:51 day's chicken next day's feathers.

1:56:53 >> [laughter]

1:56:56 >> I'd love to know where you picked that

1:56:57 one up.

1:56:59 Actually in a small cafe in Starkville,

1:57:01 Mississippi. Old man came in there one

1:57:03 day and told me that line and I'm going

1:57:04 to keep keep that one for the rest of my

1:57:05 life.

1:57:06 >> Brought it back to Theodore, Alabama?

1:57:08 Yes, sir.

1:57:10 What's this rookie campaign in Banana

1:57:12 Ball been like for you? Obviously, you

1:57:13 know, we we've talked about it. National

1:57:15 Player of the Year, National Champion,

1:57:17 four years in the Marlins organization.

1:57:20 You've played at some of the highest

1:57:22 levels of baseball and now you're in the

1:57:24 Banana Ball world. Outside of

1:57:26 Mississippi State, guys, this is the

1:57:27 most fun I've ever had on a baseball

1:57:29 field.

1:57:31 That's high praise. That's high praise.

1:57:33 And Dudy Noble was very special, but

1:57:34 man, this place is special. Look at this

1:57:36 crowd. Now Tanner, [music]

1:57:37 when you were at Mississippi State, do

1:57:39 you wish that you could have had the

1:57:40 golden bat a couple different times?

1:57:42 [laughter] I mean, we saw the impact

1:57:43 last night. You had two hits in the

1:57:45 final inning and you set up that Ben

1:57:47 Parker go-ahead home run. Oh,

1:57:49 absolutely. Absolutely. How about Pomps,

1:57:51 man? We've been ragging him all year

1:57:52 about him not hitting home runs. He's

1:57:53 the strongest guy in Banana Ball. Can't

1:57:54 get one out. I told him, I said, "I

1:57:56 think there's a force field up on the

1:57:57 field when you come up to play."

1:58:03 Uh-oh.

1:58:04 Pomps an opportunity.

1:58:05 >> Hey, you got plenty of room. Plenty of

1:58:06 room. Plenty of room. Plenty of room.

1:58:08 He tracks down the long fly from MJ.

1:58:10 >> That's good comps right there. That's

1:58:11 good comps.

1:58:13 >> [cheering]

1:58:13 >> Take notes at home, kids.

1:58:16 That's one of my favorite things to say

1:58:17 as an outfielder. You got room. Plenty

1:58:19 of room, baby.

1:58:21 That just feels good.

1:58:22 >> man? Doc can swing it. He's barreled

1:58:23 every ball tonight. He had a single and

1:58:26 a liner straight to you. Oh, I jinxed

1:58:28 him.

1:58:31 Well, against his former teammate,

1:58:33 things get interesting here.

1:58:35 Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Uh-oh.

1:58:36 Wow.

1:58:37 Good range from Ursa.

1:58:39 JD can play, man. He's fun to watch.

1:58:43 Big Dane's got something going on. He's

1:58:45 a little

1:58:46 tweak tonight, so we're going to let JD

1:58:48 play third. Well deserved. Yeah, well,

1:58:50 It's night off for the big bopper.

1:58:51 Absolutely. Look at there, another hit.

1:58:53 Imagine that. Oh. oh, we got a guy.

1:58:55 Jacobo in the right spot. Taking care of

1:58:57 another barrel from the doctor. Well, it

1:58:59 was quick, but it was delightful. Thank

1:59:01 you so much, Tanner Allen.

1:59:02 >> Absolutely, guys. You have a great

1:59:03 night. God bless.

1:59:04 >> work, Tanner. Go nuts.

1:59:07 You heard the man. More banana ball

1:59:09 right after this.

2:00:45 about 25 more seconds.

2:00:50 The plot thickens here in Savannah.

2:01:16 by Progressive Insurance. A grand slam

2:01:19 for your budget. Visit progressive.com.

2:01:25 Top of the sixth inning.

2:01:27 Grant Besser, second man out of the pen

2:01:30 for the Nanners. He's got the top of the

2:01:31 order for Loco Beach.

2:01:34 Parker, Allen, and Toplin.

2:01:37 As the Coconuts claim points in the

2:01:38 third and fourth innings, and Ben

2:01:40 Parker, a hot one all the way to the

2:01:42 wall in left. Benny pumps

2:01:46 unstoppable.

2:01:49 Hits in three straight plate

2:01:50 appearances.

2:01:51 He's three for four.

2:01:53 That's his second double of the night,

2:01:56 and he's five for his last six with two

2:01:58 doubles and a homer in that span.

2:02:01 I'm telling you, he is kind of the guy

2:02:04 who just keeps this train churning for

2:02:07 the Loco Beach Coconuts. Mark Rocco,

2:02:11 when Ben Barker is healthy, pencils him

2:02:13 into that lead-off spot just about every

2:02:15 time. And you see him take advantage

2:02:17 facing off against a southpaw in Grant

2:02:19 Besser

2:02:20 to get a man in scoring position

2:02:22 already. TA straight from the mic with

2:02:24 us on the broadcast to the batter's box.

2:02:28 Takes the fastball just low ahead 2-1.

2:02:30 He's been infallible at the dish so far

2:02:32 tonight, three for three. That's a slow

2:02:34 tapper, though. Besser quick off the

2:02:36 mound. A little shovel to young Goldberg

2:02:38 just in time. Allen showing off the

2:02:40 speed.

2:02:42 But Besser able to nab him as Parker

2:02:44 heads over to third.

2:02:46 You've just got to love the effort there

2:02:48 from Tanner Allen. And nice job by

2:02:51 Bestler just enough time to get that

2:02:52 banana ball flipped out of his glove.

2:02:55 But, Dane Toflin set up with a guy on

2:02:57 third already two runs batted in

2:02:59 tonight.

2:03:04 But, the other way past the dive of

2:03:06 Olson.

2:03:07 And Toflin his third RBI of the affair.

2:03:11 Now, two for four on the evening.

2:03:14 Up to 27 runs driven in.

2:03:18 Which ties him with Jordan Brewer for

2:03:21 the team lead.

2:03:23 Currently at the dish.

2:03:29 And the two of them

2:03:30 tied with Jackie Bradley Jr. for the

2:03:32 tour lead in runs batted in.

2:03:36 I mean, this Loco Beach offense is

2:03:38 relentless.

2:03:43 Roman Romani Henderson has his name

2:03:45 called

2:03:47 for second time to take over for Toflin.

2:03:54 And as it's deuces against Brewer.

2:03:58 Lofted the opposite way.

2:04:00 Ty Jackson had some trouble finding it.

2:04:03 Able to track it down.

2:04:05 And two away with Henderson staying put

2:04:07 at first. When it comes to Dane Toflin

2:04:10 for this Loco Beach team, 17 of his 34

2:04:13 hits this season have actually been

2:04:15 opposite field hits. And you've seen a

2:04:17 lot of doubles from [music] Dane Toflin.

2:04:20 I mean, this guy just has

2:04:22 unbelievable ability to hit to all

2:04:24 fields. And again, you know that guys

2:04:27 are dialed when they can hit with power

2:04:28 to the opposite field. And Toflin

2:04:30 already did that tonight. Picked up

2:04:32 another key RBI hit.

2:04:35 Got another battle here between 2025

2:04:37 visitors.

2:04:39 Vining another one of his pitchers in

2:04:41 Grant [music] Bessard.

2:04:43 The Bananas fourth round draft pick.

2:04:45 As this one's popped right side. Young

2:04:47 Goldberg and Brazathi towards the dugout

2:04:50 as the Bananas scatter.

2:04:53 One of the oddities of the sport is

2:04:55 teams hang out outside of the dugout.

2:04:57 That's for a lot more shenanigans, some

2:04:59 fun dancing in the background of shots

2:05:01 just like this.

2:05:06 Vining able to spoil the 3-2. And it

2:05:08 also leads to

2:05:11 bizarre scenes like a foul ball hit

2:05:13 right at everybody. Look out, Vining

2:05:15 gets plunked. That's actually good luck

2:05:17 for the Bananas, ball four there.

2:05:19 Henderson

2:05:20 would have gone first to third easily if

2:05:22 it was a wild pitch. He almost

2:05:23 definitely would have scored.

2:05:28 It was not on purpose at all from

2:05:29 Bessard. He's trying to win the battle

2:05:31 against Vining, but

2:05:33 certainly better than a ball four

2:05:34 sprint.

2:05:35 As it's 0-1 on Gideon Antell.

2:05:39 Two doubles tonight.

2:05:41 Four doubles on the weekend.

2:05:48 And Ty Jackson

2:05:49 snares the line out.

2:05:53 Loud contact from Antell once again.

2:05:56 The Nanners lucky that it was straight

2:05:58 to their right fielder as Bessard is

2:06:00 able to strand

2:06:05 a pair. One run does come across though.

2:06:13 And your favorite board games are now

2:06:15 your favorite game shows. All new

2:06:23 Craig Ferguson. Every Thursday beginning

2:06:26 at 8:00 7:00 Central right here on the

2:06:29 CW.

2:06:30 I never wanted to meet LeVar Burton. I

2:06:33 just wanted an autographed picture.

2:06:36 I can't I can't believe they got LeVar

2:06:38 Burton. That is epic, man. Living

2:06:40 legend.

2:06:43 Oh, man. One of the best.

2:06:46 All right, tapped in locked in for that.

2:06:48 Two, three, and four

2:06:50 due to swing it here for the Nanners

2:06:53 as Keegan James, the new man out of the

2:06:55 pen.

2:06:57 Very fun to get to see Loco Beaches

2:07:00 66th overall selection, one of their

2:07:03 ninth rounders come into a game that his

2:07:06 long-time friend Will Ethridge started.

2:07:08 They spent 5 years together in the

2:07:10 Colorado Rockies farm system as Rack

2:07:12 decides not to try and steal first base.

2:07:18 Pretty fortuitous bounce there back to

2:07:20 Ausberg.

2:07:22 Cruz scorching hot a sprint his first

2:07:24 time a single in the third.

2:07:31 And then he hits three balls and no

2:07:32 strikes representing the inning tying

2:07:35 run.

2:07:42 He'll take four straight bad ones.

2:07:44 Exactly what the Bananas needed.

2:07:47 Cruz content with one base on the sprint

2:07:49 as the Coconuts get it to every fielder

2:07:51 behind the pitcher and catcher in short

2:07:53 order and JT Sokolove Bananas designated

2:07:56 runner

2:07:57 out there once again.

2:07:59 He's already stolen one base tonight.

2:08:00 He's four for six on the year in his

2:08:02 attempts.

2:08:04 But he has been caught twice in this

2:08:06 series.

2:08:07 Both were in the ninth inning games one

2:08:09 and games two with Ashby Vining

2:08:11 catching.

2:08:14 As he's not going to have to steal at

2:08:16 all. Wild pitch. He's thinking about

2:08:17 going first to third. He's going TO GO

2:08:19 FOR IT. SOKOLOVE. WOW, THAT IS LIGHTNING

2:08:22 SPEED.

2:08:24 INNING TYING run 90 ft away. How rare is

2:08:27 that? You see a wild pitch where someone

2:08:29 gets two bases.

2:08:32 Again, this guy was regarded as the

2:08:34 fastest player in the Banana Ball Player

2:08:36 Draft pool. And you saw it on full

2:08:39 display there. Sockel was out for a

2:08:42 month with

2:08:43 an injury in his lower body, but clearly

2:08:46 not affected by that anymore.

2:08:49 Already at third base and Dan Obers tags

2:08:52 at the first strike that Keegan James is

2:08:54 able to pour in tonight. Dan fouled out

2:08:57 to the fans his first time, then struck

2:08:58 out in the third.

2:09:01 Infield is in for Loco Beach, and after

2:09:03 five straight balls to start the outing,

2:09:05 that was a pretty good looking bender,

2:09:06 but just a pinch high from Keegan James

2:09:10 as Obers back ahead.

2:09:16 A ball four ties this inning up

2:09:20 and would put the inning winning run on

2:09:22 the base paths.

2:09:26 Obers three long balls this year. Can't

2:09:28 give him a cookie, either.

2:09:30 That's exactly what happens.

2:09:33 And he whistles it right back up the

2:09:35 middle.

2:09:38 16th run batted in of the season for

2:09:40 Danny O.

2:09:43 Ties him for second most on the Bananas.

2:09:47 Sockel of across to score. This inning

2:09:49 is tied.

2:09:51 And Reese Lottice trying to keep

2:09:54 the carousel spinning. And we've

2:09:56 certainly talked about how good Robert

2:09:58 Anthony Cruz has been lately, but Dan

2:10:00 Obers following him in that lineup has

2:10:02 been unbelievable since the conclusion

2:10:04 of the Banana Ball Open, batting over

2:10:06 400

2:10:07 with two doubles, a home run, and now

2:10:09 six runs batted in. And it's OBERS

2:10:12 ATTEMPTING TO STEAL ON JAMES, AND HE IS

2:10:14 IN THERE SAFELY.

2:10:17 OBERS CAUGHT JAMES NAPPING AND IS ABLE

2:10:20 to swipe THE BAG DESPITE a pretty good

2:10:23 throw to the second baseman Sal

2:10:25 Giacobbo. I mean, that is remarkable.

2:10:28 Stole second without a pitch being

2:10:30 thrown.

2:10:32 Dan is now a perfect seven for seven on

2:10:34 the year

2:10:35 in his stolen base tries. Slider just

2:10:38 misses to even up the count on Super

2:10:40 Reese.

2:10:41 Sac fly to walk off the first inning.

2:10:44 His fourth inning ender of the weekend.

2:10:47 He's doubled his total on the year

2:10:48 coming into it.

2:10:52 Great scoop by Osberg.

2:10:54 >> [applause]

2:10:56 >> Two-one now on the man out of Manhattan

2:10:58 Beach, California.

2:11:15 Big swing and a miss.

2:11:17 Tight slider there from James.

2:11:20 That's Alexiades trying to end the

2:11:22 inning with just one swing.

2:11:24 He's told us he wants to get those A

2:11:26 swings off as much as possible.

2:11:29 Just coming up empty and we'll see if he

2:11:30 shortens up the approach here with two

2:11:32 strikes.

2:11:36 The two-two.

2:11:38 Swing and a miss, but the ball gets away

2:11:40 from Osberg. He throws down to first. He

2:11:42 gets Alexiades, but Oberst's heads-up

2:11:44 base running heads over to third.

2:11:47 And that's only the first out of the

2:11:49 frame.

2:11:50 So, the inning-winning run 90 ft away.

2:11:56 And Dan Sayne he's okay. Looks like he

2:11:58 maybe a little bit of a late slide.

2:12:00 Jammed his leg a tad. Certainly wasn't

2:12:03 comfortable. He's as tough as they come.

2:12:08 And the infield has to come in against

2:12:10 Kyle Jackson. One for two, a single his

2:12:12 last trip.

2:12:14 Ahead a ball and no strikes.

2:12:29 GREAT. OH, NO, IT DID get by Osberg.

2:12:33 Another wild pitch.

2:12:35 And a wild trip around the bases for

2:12:37 Oberst.

2:12:38 We are knotted at two points a piece.

2:12:41 Six innings in the books, three to play

2:12:44 in this rubber game of a three-game set

2:12:47 [music] in Savannah, here on the CW.

2:12:53 >> [music]

2:12:59 >> here at home plate with hot dogs in

2:13:01 their mouths. Run, drop them in the

2:13:02 water bucket, their partner has to fish

2:13:04 it out, take it down to the next. The

2:13:06 first team to make it all the way back

2:13:07 is the winner. This is the dirty water

2:13:10 dog race. Fellas, let's dog up. Come on,

2:13:12 do it the right way. There it is. All

2:13:14 right. ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GO!

2:13:18 HOT DOGS OUT THE LONG WAY, THE way

2:13:21 nature intended it. Drop it in there.

2:13:24 Come on, boys, easy with the teeth.

2:13:25 Don't break the hot dog. You got to be

2:13:26 careful there.

2:13:28 Now, don't drown in it, buddy. Just get

2:13:29 the dog. There it is.

2:13:32 We're struggling mightily here over at

2:13:34 first base.

2:13:37 He's got it up.

2:13:39 >> [laughter]

2:13:41 >> The bare feet

2:13:42 and the broken hot dog is quite the

2:13:44 look.

2:13:46 Team No Hats has been running away with

2:13:48 it here.

2:13:49 Better get in there.

2:13:51 Shake it off.

2:13:56 HE'S GOT IT! GET THAT DOGGIE!

2:13:59 TEAM NO HATS FOR THE WIN

2:14:03 IN THE DIRTY water dog race.

2:14:04 >> [laughter]

2:14:06 >> Oh my god, makes me want a hot dog real

2:14:09 bad.

2:14:23 >> Replay.

2:14:28 Oh, that is fantastic.

2:14:32 I would like to compete in that

2:14:33 promotion.

2:14:36 I'm dying to compete in a promotion like

2:14:38 that.

2:14:40 Dirty dogs, dirty Trump dogs. I I don't

2:14:42 care. Oh yeah. I had a Trump dog today.

2:14:56 To the seventh inning we go, tied at two

2:14:59 points each. Grant Besser

2:15:01 gave up one run in the sixth

2:15:04 but stranded two coconuts and that ended

2:15:06 up being massive as the bananas doubled

2:15:08 up

2:15:09 Loco Beach in the bottom half

2:15:12 to even up this game as Eric Osberg gets

2:15:14 a fastball off the elbow.

2:15:17 It is a terrible place to get hit.

2:15:21 And he is

2:15:23 clearly in some massive pain here.

2:15:27 The 2-hour timer will stop.

2:15:30 Christine Muller, the athletic trainer

2:15:33 for the coconuts will

2:15:34 check on

2:15:37 their catcher.

2:15:43 Yeah, Osberg is he is hurting.

2:15:52 Christine here in her

2:15:54 first year in Bananaland.

2:15:59 And a Massachusetts connection

2:16:02 >> [applause]

2:16:03 >> with Osberg who hails from

2:16:06 Florence, Mass. Christine came from

2:16:08 UMass Lowell and Lowell Catholic 3 and

2:16:11 1/2 years.

2:16:12 Working double duty.

2:16:15 Before that was at at the USA Luge team.

2:16:20 And originally from Poughkeepsie, New

2:16:21 York.

2:16:23 Love to see another member from

2:16:26 the Hudson Valley here in Bananaland.

2:16:28 Discussions here

2:16:29 between Mark Crocco,

2:16:32 Tyler Gilliam, Zack Frangello,

2:16:34 and Kelly Dyne.

2:16:43 Armani Henderson

2:16:45 for Ausberg over at first.

2:16:47 >> He's been summoned as the pinch runner

2:16:50 since he was the designated runner an

2:16:51 inning ago. Now, this burns the

2:16:53 designated runner for the rest of the

2:16:55 ball game for Loco Beach, but they have

2:16:57 to utilize him here with Ausberg down.

2:17:00 As the 1-1 pitch is hit in the right

2:17:02 FIELD AND TY JACKSON CANNOT FIND IT IN

2:17:05 THE LIGHTS AND OVERRAN THAT BANANA BALL.

2:17:08 URSOS UP TO SECOND, BUT IT'S HENDERSON

2:17:11 WHO WILL SLIP AND SLIDE and get gunned

2:17:14 down at third base. Yeah, that's on JD

2:17:17 Urso right there.

2:17:21 He forced Henderson to go all the way to

2:17:24 third and what a heads-up play by Ty

2:17:27 Jackson who has his second outfield

2:17:28 assist of the ball game.

2:17:30 Showing off the howitzer tonight.

2:17:33 It's a massive gift of a first out for

2:17:36 the Bananas as

2:17:37 KJ foul ball.

2:17:40 Dalton Maldonado pinch hitting here for

2:17:42 Grady Morgan.

2:17:43 Will have himself an 0-1 count.

2:17:48 The Bananas legend,

2:17:50 the songbird of our generation,

2:17:53 the second to last pick in the draft.

2:17:55 Crocco grabbed Maldonado 87th overall

2:18:00 in the 11th round.

2:18:02 He's here since the Breakfast Ball in

2:18:05 2021, Bananas against the Macon Bacon.

2:18:09 And this is now his fifth Banana Ball

2:18:11 World Tour.

2:18:13 Perfect fit for Loco Beach.

2:18:16 Able to spoil the fastball. Great

2:18:18 location there from Besser.

2:18:26 And Malden has worked the count full.

2:18:28 I'll tell you what, it has been a

2:18:29 resurgent season

2:18:31 for the pride of Lake City.

2:18:34 As he earns the ball for sprint.

2:18:37 That's going to drive in Urso from

2:18:38 second

2:18:40 as Daulton

2:18:42 pumps the brakes at first base.

2:18:45 His first run driven in on the year.

2:18:49 On only his second ball for sprint, but

2:18:51 that's a guy coming in hitting .316.

2:18:55 And he has provided massive value

2:18:57 normally off the bench for the Coconuts

2:19:00 after he got the start last night.

2:19:02 That'll be it

2:19:03 for Grant Besser.

2:19:06 He ends up seating

2:19:09 two runs across an inning and a third of

2:19:12 work.

2:19:15 Big Allan sat off, utilized for the

2:19:17 second time this weekend. Threw two

2:19:19 scoreless innings last night in relief.

2:19:24 Starting to see the potential

2:19:26 from the Bananas ninth round draft pick,

2:19:28 taken number 68 overall.

2:19:32 And really felt like a steal for the

2:19:34 Bananas coaching staff. A guy

2:19:36 comes to Banana Ball after three years

2:19:38 in the Seattle Mariners minor league

2:19:39 system.

2:19:40 Getting all the way up to double-A

2:19:42 Arkansas.

2:19:45 Peyton Shotaigne, a one-two

2:19:47 count even at two and two.

2:19:50 About a 90-92 mph fastball with a

2:19:53 sweeper, cutter, and changeup.

2:19:57 Wow, pretty good looking pitch just

2:19:59 misses the inside corner.

2:20:03 See if Malden takes off on the 3-2.

2:20:08 >> [cheering]

2:20:09 >> He stays put. Fastball called strike

2:20:11 three, outside corner. BACK PICK TO

2:20:13 FIRST, Malden safe.

2:20:16 Heads up base running. Dalton thought it

2:20:18 was a sprint. Just like Sha Tony did.

2:20:22 And just barely able to get back to the

2:20:25 bag ahead of the throw from Graffy.

2:20:27 There was just a small moment of

2:20:28 hesitation from Max Young Goldberg

2:20:30 trying to apply that tag on Dalton

2:20:32 Malden.

2:20:33 Nonetheless, Sadoff able to do his job

2:20:36 quickly

2:20:37 against Sha Tony and now Ben Parker back

2:20:41 up. Three for three in his last three at

2:20:43 bats. He has been the toughest out

2:20:45 tonight for Loco Beach, him or Tanner

2:20:47 Allen.

2:20:49 Yeah, tough to choose. They're both

2:20:51 three for four.

2:20:53 This one lofted the opposite way. Ty

2:20:56 Jackson, another long run. Slides and he

2:20:58 crashes into the wall for a second time

2:21:01 tonight.

2:21:02 It's been all out effort

2:21:05 from the Bananas Energizer Bunny.

2:21:08 Another look.

2:21:10 And this is what you get from Ty

2:21:11 Jackson.

2:21:13 Came up a foot or two short of that one.

2:21:16 Not for a lack of trying.

2:21:20 O2 to Benny Pumps.

2:21:22 Heater misses wide. That is a great O2

2:21:25 pitch though.

2:21:26 See if Graffy calls the slider low and

2:21:29 away now.

2:21:33 He called the slider. It was hung. Ben

2:21:35 Parker deep out to center and Alexiades

2:21:39 just in front of the wall, about 380 ft

2:21:42 from the dish.

2:21:44 And Sadoff able to retire Ben Parker for

2:21:47 the first time since the first inning.

2:21:50 But another run for the coconuts.

2:21:52 They've got a chance to jump back ahead.

2:21:55 >> [music]

2:22:18 >> Oh my goodness, YouTube.

2:22:21 This game

2:22:23 is absolutely off the handle.

2:22:27 >> [music]

2:22:29 >> But pretty apropos for the entire

2:22:31 series.

2:22:34 Back and forth we go.

2:22:37 So cool seeing youngsters rocking

2:22:40 the coconuts gear.

2:22:42 Jersey with the headband to match.

2:22:55 Young Prof really taking his time with

2:22:58 the shirt he's got here. Although it

2:22:59 might be

2:23:01 the old Dolce and Banana.

2:23:06 The Banana's whitey tighties

2:23:09 for those who are not aware.

2:23:12 Noah T says, "I'm a new fan and I'm

2:23:14 addicted." That is great to hear, Noah

2:23:16 T. Heck yeah.

2:23:19 Amanda says, "This game is bananas."

2:23:22 Couldn't say it any better. Nice. Chris

2:23:24 from the Netherlands asking what kind of

2:23:26 baseball is this.

2:23:29 MLB was the only league that they knew

2:23:31 of. This is the Banana Ball Championship

2:23:33 League. The sport is Banana Ball. Thank

2:23:34 you so much for stumbling across our

2:23:36 broadcast.

2:23:50 >> This summer, the Minions make a monster

2:23:52 movie so big, it might just leave

2:23:54 Hollywood in ruins. Don't miss Minions

2:23:58 and Monsters, only in theaters July 1st.

2:24:05 Talked about it earlier, cannot wait to

2:24:06 see what these Minions are up to. And

2:24:09 son of a gun, I'm pretty interested in

2:24:10 the monsters as well.

2:24:12 They've got me hook, line, and sinker.

2:24:15 Brett Carson, new man on the mound,

2:24:17 misses inside to Kyle Jackson who is at

2:24:19 the dish

2:24:21 when the wild pitch from Keegan James

2:24:22 brought Dan Oberstine,

2:24:25 which ended up being an unearned run as

2:24:26 Oberst got to third on a pass ball, not

2:24:28 a wild pitch.

2:24:30 We've seen some wild stuff from Brett

2:24:32 Carson this season. He's got three wild

2:24:34 pitches this season and more sprints

2:24:37 than strikeouts.

2:24:39 14 runs allowed for Brett Carson, 12

2:24:42 have been earned.

2:24:44 But, he's still working pretty quick

2:24:46 despite the trouble as he gets the swing

2:24:49 and miss there from Kyle Jackson to even

2:24:51 the count.

2:24:53 Carson was on the Texas Tailgaters last

2:24:55 year.

2:24:57 And he gets a strikeout from Kyle

2:24:59 Jackson. Nasty bender, throw to first

2:25:01 just in time.

2:25:04 Smart play, Jordan Brewer, using the

2:25:06 safety base in foul territory.

2:25:10 It's one of

2:25:11 the few times that a first baseman can

2:25:14 use that to get a force out.

2:25:16 As he shared it with KJ.

2:25:20 And a big first out with the Coconut's

2:25:22 up a run in this frame.

2:25:24 Trying to retake the lead as the

2:25:25 fastball is right down Broadway

2:25:28 to Ryan Cox.

2:25:37 Cox 0 for 2, a strikeout looking his

2:25:39 first time, then grounded into a double

2:25:41 play.

2:25:43 And you completely understand why Crocco

2:25:45 and company

2:25:46 selected Carson in the eighth round as

2:25:48 Ben Parker

2:25:50 there for out number two.

2:25:52 This is a guy with seven different or

2:25:54 five different pitches rather. Three of

2:25:56 them over the top fastball at 89 to 91.

2:25:59 He's got the 12-6 curve and a changeup

2:26:01 and then he'll drop down sidearm

2:26:03 for a sinker and a slider.

2:26:05 And that's not to mention his two-way

2:26:07 abilities.

2:26:09 Really a heck of a hitter.

2:26:10 Can play a real nice right field as

2:26:12 well.

2:26:13 He has even spent time at first base in

2:26:15 his banana ball career. I mean you talk

2:26:17 about true two-way value. You're getting

2:26:20 it with Brett Carson. That's exactly why

2:26:21 Mark Crocco

2:26:23 wanted him on this squad and you're

2:26:25 seeing Carson, [music] like I said,

2:26:27 working quick. Two outs and currently 2

2:26:29 minutes and 15 seconds his minutes per

2:26:32 inning time right now.

2:26:34 A whiff from Ty.

2:26:36 As he's behind one, two. Doubled his

2:26:38 first trip then struck out back in the

2:26:40 fourth.

2:26:42 Trying to kick-start a two-out rally.

2:26:45 Evens up the count at two and two.

2:26:49 And Carson, a guy

2:26:50 his final year at Marietta College up in

2:26:52 Ohio. You see Ohio Athletic Conference

2:26:54 Player of the Year putting up video game

2:26:56 numbers.

2:26:57 Three years of professional baseball

2:26:59 before he found himself in Banana Land

2:27:01 dropping in gnarly benders like that.

2:27:05 Frozen pizza for Ty two fly. A couple Ks

2:27:09 and Brett Carson has the Loco Beach

2:27:11 coconuts up 3-2 with only two innings to

2:27:15 play. Another gander at the disgusting

2:27:18 deuce.

2:27:41 >> Oh yeah, that's good. Yeah.

2:27:56 HERE WE GO.

2:28:26 HERE WE GO.

2:28:42 I GOT THIS FEELING ON A SUMMER [music]

2:28:44 day when you were gone. I crashed my car

2:28:46 INTO THE BRIDGE. I WATCHED IT LIGHT IT

2:28:48 BURN.

2:28:49 I threw your stuff into [music] a bag

2:28:51 and pushed it down the stairs.

2:28:53 I crashed my CAR INTO THE BRIDGE.

2:28:56 I DON'T CARE.

2:28:58 I LOVE IT.

2:28:59 I DON'T CARE.

2:29:02 >> [music]

2:29:05 >> I got this feeling on a summer day.

2:29:20 Banana Ball on the CW is brought to you

2:29:23 by PNC Bank. Brilliantly boring since

2:29:26 1865.

2:29:31 We go to the top of the eighth inning

2:29:33 and the bananas have broken out the best

2:29:36 closer in the history of the sport.

2:29:39 Danny Hasley of all can change up to get

2:29:41 a swing and a miss from Tanner Allen.

2:29:43 And another one to get a foul ball. TA

2:29:45 quickly behind 0-2. It's two, three, and

2:29:47 four in the order. Topland on deck,

2:29:49 Brewer in the hole.

2:29:54 Hasley threw a scoreless ninth inning on

2:29:56 Thursday night and got his seventh

2:29:58 showdown shut down in as many tries. He

2:30:00 did it against Tanner Allen getting weak

2:30:02 contact on that changeup of his.

2:30:05 Yeah, he got to striking out 29% of the

2:30:07 batters he's faced this season, the

2:30:09 highest rate in banana ball.

2:30:11 And it's Tanner Allen who has learned

2:30:13 something from that first match up

2:30:14 against Hasley. He also faced him in

2:30:16 showdowns. He is not biting on that

2:30:19 change in the dirt and now hacks at this

2:30:22 one and it is popped in the air, shallow

2:30:24 left field, and Kyle Jackson will make

2:30:27 the call and the catch to get the out

2:30:30 for Danny Hasley to start this eighth

2:30:32 inning. And there are just a little over

2:30:34 6 minutes on the clock right now. This

2:30:37 could very well be the final inning of

2:30:39 play tonight, which means if that is the

2:30:42 case, coconuts would not earn the

2:30:44 equalizer point as it would go back to

2:30:46 the last full inning of play, the

2:30:48 seventh. And every run scored in this

2:30:52 eighth inning could count for a point if

2:30:54 that 2-hour time clock expires.

2:30:57 12-6 curve just misses, a ball and a

2:30:59 strike.

2:31:01 On the 6-4 slugger out of Grand Prairie,

2:31:03 Alberta, Canada, Dane Topland.

2:31:08 Two for four, a double, three runs

2:31:10 driven in.

2:31:12 As Topland

2:31:14 the primary third baseman for this

2:31:15 squad. In fact, he had

2:31:17 started every single game at third this

2:31:19 year until tonight. [music]

2:31:21 The designated hitter getting a half

2:31:22 night off.

2:31:25 Rewarding Kracoe with his fantastic work

2:31:28 at the dish, but down swinging on the

2:31:30 Vulcan changeup. Two quick outs for

2:31:32 Hasley as we're approaching 5 minutes

2:31:35 left on the clock.

2:31:37 Well, if you want to get to the ninth,

2:31:39 Danny Hasley's the guy you put on the

2:31:40 mound to try and get you there. He's

2:31:42 averaging three outs in 3 minutes and 42

2:31:45 seconds. That is the fourth best among

2:31:48 all qualified pitchers in the Banana

2:31:50 Ball Championship League entering

2:31:51 tonight. Curveball drops in for a

2:31:53 strike. Fastball gets the low outside

2:31:56 corner. Two pitchers pitches and Brewer

2:31:59 not thrilled with the call as he's just

2:32:01 able to get a piece of the changeup.

2:32:04 Jordan a single his first time, then a

2:32:06 sac fly, pop out, fly out. One for three

2:32:10 with the one run driven in

2:32:12 which ties him with Jackie Bradley Jr.

2:32:15 and Toflin for the tour lead. SWING AND

2:32:18 A MISS! ANOTHER VULCAN CHANGEUP! ANOTHER

2:32:21 STRIKEOUT FOR DANNY DO-IT-ALL! He is

2:32:23 absolutely inevitable as we head to the

2:32:27 bottom of the eighth.

2:32:32 I'll tell you what. Hasley

2:32:35 able to take care of the best late

2:32:38 inning hitting team in the sport right

2:32:40 there. Because Loco Beach has been a

2:32:42 level above everybody else. You see

2:32:45 those 39 points scored across the last

2:32:47 three innings, best in the sport. And 28

2:32:50 of those have come in the final inning.

2:32:52 Yeah, and you see 30 point nearly 31% of

2:32:55 the Coconut's points earned this season

2:32:58 have come from the final inning of play.

2:33:00 Now, they weren't able to score there in

2:33:02 the eighth inning, but you also see the

2:33:04 Bananas a top three team when it comes

2:33:06 to producing offense in these last

2:33:08 [music] three innings, and even they

2:33:10 have scored 15 runs that have become

2:33:13 points in the final inning this year.

2:33:16 We'll see if that happens here in the

2:33:17 eighth with Joe Philomeno [music]

2:33:19 pitching. First pitch grounder to Peyton

2:33:21 Shock Tan Ye. He makes the play and

2:33:24 Olson back to the bench.

2:33:27 I'll tell you what, Eric Asberg

2:33:30 college teammate of Jackson Olson's at

2:33:32 the University of Hartford in 2020.

2:33:33 [music]

2:33:35 He's been calling the right pitches to

2:33:37 take care of Olson and that's another

2:33:38 first pitch swinging. Easton Parish is

2:33:40 going to reach on the infield single and

2:33:42 he's a perfect three for three with a

2:33:44 homer in his first ever Banana Ball

2:33:46 start.

2:33:48 Boy, that is great to see for EP

2:33:50 tonight. Especially considering we

2:33:52 talked about so much bad luck for him

2:33:54 early this year. And finally getting to

2:33:57 have that career NIGHT AS BREWER STEPS

2:33:59 ON THE BAG AND AIR MAILS THE THROW TO

2:34:01 SHAH-TAHN-YAY.

2:34:03 SO, PARISH will advance into scoring

2:34:05 position and that kept us from possibly

2:34:09 experiencing the fastest inning in

2:34:11 Banana Ball history. That was about to

2:34:13 be around 44 seconds for Joe Philomena,

2:34:17 which is the record. Drew Gillespie

2:34:19 holds it.

2:34:20 Wow.

2:34:24 Then it's DJ the Invader 45 seconds,

2:34:26 Gillespie again 46 seconds.

2:34:30 That is wild.

2:34:35 And those are the only three innings

2:34:36 that have ever [music] been completed in

2:34:38 under 50 seconds. Joe Philomena

2:34:40 almost just joined some seriously rare

2:34:43 company there.

2:34:47 Less than two minutes on the two-hour

2:34:49 timer. DR Meadows with the inning

2:34:51 winning run in scoring position.

2:34:54 Beautiful slider to make it a one-two

2:34:57 count.

2:34:58 Philomena, the former Rangers minor

2:35:00 leaguer

2:35:03 goes back to the bender.

2:35:06 And Meadows able to spoil it. DR one for

2:35:09 three, he has smoked the ball all three

2:35:12 times. Single and two line outs.

2:35:15 Scored the inning winning run all the

2:35:17 way back in the first inning.

2:35:23 Deuces wild.

2:35:29 Did Meadows go around? We check to

2:35:31 first. No.

2:35:33 Hunter arrives at DR was able to hold

2:35:34 up. Ball four ties this game at three.

2:35:40 One minute left to play.

2:35:42 RIGHT BACK UP THE MIDDLE. GRABBED BY

2:35:45 JACOBA. THROW TO FIRST. IN TIME.

2:35:47 FILOMINO. Absolute onions. Strands the

2:35:52 inning winning run in scoring position

2:35:54 and Loco Beach takes a 3-2 lead to our

2:35:58 final inning where every run counts as a

2:36:00 point.

2:36:07 >> [music]

2:36:11 >> Time to sing a little yellow.

2:36:22 Look at the stars.

2:36:25 Look how they shine for

2:36:28 you.

2:36:30 And everything you do.

2:36:34 Sing it loud, Savannah.

2:36:39 I came along.

2:36:41 I wrote a song for you.

2:36:47 And all the things you do.

2:36:58 So then I took my

2:37:04 Oh, what a thing to do.

2:37:10 >> There's the ball.

2:37:34 We love you so much, Banana Man. Welcome

2:37:36 back to Banana Ball live on the CW.

2:37:40 It has been

2:37:42 a fantastic series

2:37:45 between the Loco Beach Coconuts and the

2:37:48 Savannah Bananas. Nanners

2:37:51 4-3 winners of night one in showdowns.

2:37:57 The Coconuts 3-2 winners down to their

2:38:00 final strike last night.

2:38:07 But, I'll tell you what.

2:38:09 If you're a Savannah Bananas fan,

2:38:11 maybe a little reverse psychology. In

2:38:13 this series, the team that has been

2:38:15 leading going into the eighth inning

2:38:18 has lost both games.

2:38:20 Coconuts led going into the eighth

2:38:22 inning. Can we have another late inning

2:38:24 comeback in this roller coaster ride of

2:38:27 a three-game set?

2:38:28 >> Again, you're not going to rule it out

2:38:30 considering these are two of the best

2:38:31 late inning teams in Banana Ball in

2:38:33 2026.

2:38:36 And it appears that the Bananas going to

2:38:39 stick with their closer are Danny Hasley

2:38:41 in the top of the ninth. He made quick

2:38:43 work of those Coconuts. A 2-minute and

2:38:45 44-second inning and only fired 14

2:38:49 pitches.

2:38:50 >> [music]

2:38:50 >> He's going to try and keep the top

2:38:52 scoring offense in the final inning of

2:38:54 play scoreless to try and keep this a

2:38:57 one-point deficit for his boys going

2:39:00 into the home half.

2:39:02 Get a look at the numbers from Hasley

2:39:04 this year. He had his 28-inning

2:39:08 streak without allowing an earned run

2:39:09 snapped the last Sunday

2:39:12 in the finale of the three-game set in

2:39:13 Truist Park in Atlanta

2:39:15 with Jason Swan walking him off to take

2:39:19 the series for the Party Animals over

2:39:20 the Bananas.

2:39:23 He has mounted

2:39:26 a two-inning

2:39:28 scoreless streak

2:39:30 in response.

2:39:31 And the changeup in there for strike one

2:39:33 to Ashby Vining. Gideon Antell on deck,

2:39:36 Eric Asberg in the hole.

2:39:40 Good frame [laughter]

2:39:41 by Grizz on one that skipped on the

2:39:43 turf. A Pierzynski frame. That's right.

2:39:47 Little flare shallow left. Rack

2:39:49 attacking and he's got it.

2:39:52 More soft contact induced by Hosley.

2:39:55 It's been a popout, two strikeouts.

2:39:57 And now that little looper to Cruisin'

2:39:59 Right.

2:40:00 This brings up Gideon Antell to the

2:40:02 plate for Loco Beach. By far, one of

2:40:05 these guys who has truly made them the

2:40:08 Comeback Coconuts this season. GIDEON

2:40:10 >> ANTELL FLARED INTO RIGHT.

2:40:12 >> SIX FOR EIGHT BATTING IN THE FINAL

2:40:15 INNING THIS YEAR. THERE it is. He wasted

2:40:17 no time.

2:40:19 And funny enough, I was about to say he

2:40:21 doesn't even know what soft contact is.

2:40:23 That was the weakest hit ball for Antell

2:40:25 tonight. He's three for five with two

2:40:27 doubles and a pair of lineouts.

2:40:36 Ladies and gentlemen,

2:40:39 the

2:40:39 Loco Beach Coconuts are invoking the

2:40:42 Golden Batter Rule. Hitting in place of

2:40:45 Eric Asberg IS YOUR GOLDEN BATTER, BEN

2:40:50 PUMPS PARKER!

2:40:52 >> [groaning]

2:40:53 >> GET READY! TONIGHT'S GOLDEN Batter is

2:40:55 brought to you by PNC Bank, where a

2:40:57 steady strategic approach delivers when

2:41:00 it counts. PNC Bank, brilliantly boring

2:41:03 since 1865.

2:41:06 Ben Parker

2:41:07 just like Antel who leads off first,

2:41:09 currently seeing beach balls instead of

2:41:12 banana balls.

2:41:13 Three for five tonight, two doubles,

2:41:16 three runs scored.

2:41:21 And with the Coconut's down to their

2:41:22 final strike last night

2:41:26 on a 3-2 pitch

2:41:28 he golfed the ball over the left field

2:41:30 landing a two-run shot

2:41:32 that turned the game on its head

2:41:35 and led to that 3-2 Coconut's win.

2:41:38 Giving them a chance to take the series

2:41:40 tonight as the fastball jumps out on

2:41:42 him.

2:41:44 And it's a 2-1 count.

2:41:48 Antel on first, three for four in his

2:41:50 stolen base tries as Hasley

2:41:53 gives him a little action.

2:42:01 Crank, just barely foul.

2:42:09 More loud contact from Parker.

2:42:12 He was less than a foot from extra bases

2:42:13 once again.

2:42:20 2-2

2:42:22 Swing AND A MISS.

2:42:24 FASTBALL HIGH AND TIGHT. Strikeout

2:42:26 number three on the night for Hasley.

2:42:29 Much pitching

2:42:31 from Danny Hasley. And you see him work

2:42:34 high and tight on Ben Parker. That was a

2:42:36 pitch that was very similar to what he

2:42:38 was able to get out of the park against

2:42:40 Bazela, a pitch running in against his

2:42:43 hands.

2:42:44 This time coming away empty against

2:42:46 Hasley.

2:42:47 And now JD Ursulo, tonight's third

2:42:50 baseman for Loco Beach

2:42:52 is behind 0-1.

2:42:57 The D2 national champion

2:43:01 teamed up to win it all

2:43:03 with the Coconut's closer CJ Williams

2:43:05 last spring.

2:43:07 And Urso

2:43:09 I'd be shocked if he sits another game

2:43:11 this year. He has been fantastic in this

2:43:13 series.

2:43:14 Finally getting an opportunity at

2:43:16 everyday playing

2:43:18 and he has blessed coach Kracco and the

2:43:21 Coconuts with a three-for-three

2:43:23 performance tonight with two doubles.

2:43:26 He's got three doubles on the series,

2:43:28 but a flail and a miss here. Danny

2:43:30 do-it-all and uppercut. Make it three

2:43:33 punches

2:43:34 and four punch-outs for the Nanners

2:43:37 downright nasty closer.

2:43:43 Another look. Yeah, that is unfair.

2:43:46 Change-ups should not move like that.

2:43:55 Hosley two Ks in the scoreless 1-2-3

2:43:58 eighth. Two more Ks

2:44:01 in the scoreless ninth able to strand

2:44:03 Andtown

2:44:05 on first base.

2:44:06 And the Savannah Bananas

2:44:09 down a run

2:44:10 have three outs to play with.

2:44:13 And it will not

2:44:15 be J.D. Urso's college teammate on the

2:44:17 bump.

2:44:21 CJ Williams has worked back-to-back

2:44:23 nights in this series, so we see Zach

2:44:25 Smith instead. A 2022 collegiate

2:44:28 Savannah Banana

2:44:30 trying to put the bow

2:44:32 on the Coconut's first ever series win

2:44:34 against his former team. His 12th

2:44:37 assignment out of the bullpen this

2:44:38 season has picked up a save for Loco

2:44:41 Beach this season,

2:44:43 but he surrendered his third walk off of

2:44:45 the tour last night. For Loco Beach,

2:44:47 surrendered two hits and a ball four

2:44:49 sprint to the Savannah Bananas. And you

2:44:51 see the numbers for Zack Smith. 20 hits

2:44:54 allowed in eight and a third innings

2:44:56 pitched and opponents are batting over

2:44:59 400 against him.

2:45:02 So, this is certainly a big moment for

2:45:05 Zack Smith when where he's really got to

2:45:07 step it up, especially considering their

2:45:10 usual closer C.J. Williams unavailable

2:45:13 after pitching back-to-back nights

2:45:15 Thursday and Friday. And it's the meat

2:45:18 of this Bananas lineup due to swing it.

2:45:19 Two, three, and four. Robert Anthony

2:45:21 Cruz, Dan Oberst, Reese Alexiades.

2:45:26 Cruz, the team leader with his five home

2:45:27 runs, steps in.

2:45:31 And takes his turn representing the

2:45:32 game's tying run.

2:45:36 Had a three-run shot Thursday night.

2:45:41 One for one with two sprints this

2:45:42 evening.

2:45:44 As the cutter just dips under

2:45:46 the ferocious swing of Cruz.

2:45:52 Broken bat. On a hop shot, Tony. Over to

2:45:55 first. One out here in the last of the

2:45:58 ninth.

2:46:00 Well, that's what Zack Smith needs to

2:46:02 see more of. Soft contact, jammed Robert

2:46:05 Anthony Cruz, and Peyton Shott Tony with

2:46:08 an incredible first step to range behind

2:46:11 second base and then deliver a throw to

2:46:14 Jordan Brewer to retire Rack who's been

2:46:16 one of the Bananas best bats in the

2:46:18 night.

2:46:19 >> Oberst, foul ball.

2:46:23 Put some English on it.

2:46:26 If it stayed fair, it was an infield

2:46:27 single.

2:46:29 Instead, back to the batter's box

2:46:32 with one strike on him.

2:46:34 Kelly Dyne insistent that was a foul

2:46:36 ball. Foul ball.

2:46:37 Third base umpire Chris Walker

2:46:39 confirming.

2:46:41 Confusion there between Oberst first

2:46:42 base coach Adam Virant.

2:46:46 Another look.

2:46:51 And there's O'Brien clearly [music]

2:46:52 grabbed it in foul territory.

2:46:55 Dean manufactured a couple runs in the

2:46:58 sixth. He drove in one.

2:47:01 As this is a big hopper. SCHATTYNNE OVER

2:47:04 THE FIRST WILD THROW. AND O'BRIEN IS

2:47:06 GOING TO HEAD FOR SECOND. HE WILL GET

2:47:08 THERE WITHOUT A THROW FROM BREWER.

2:47:16 It's the second throwing error of the

2:47:18 series for Schattynne. His sixth error

2:47:21 of the year.

2:47:25 It was in the eighth inning.

2:47:29 And it tied the game on Thursday night.

2:47:32 Now it gives the Bananas a chance to tie

2:47:34 the game here in the ninth on Saturday.

2:47:37 And O'Brien is no longer on the bases.

2:47:38 Designated runner JT Sokolove at second

2:47:41 in his place.

2:47:43 And now Alexiades, four walk-offs in

2:47:46 this series, has a chance for number

2:47:49 five to win the game and the series.

2:47:53 His fourth walk-off won the first inning

2:47:55 tonight. On the sacrifice fly.

2:48:02 Two balls and no strikes.

2:48:05 Ground out and a strikeout since the sac

2:48:07 fly that won the first inning.

2:48:11 Sokolove runs like the very wind itself

2:48:13 out on second base.

2:48:16 And it's three straight bad ones.

2:48:22 Got to think Alexiades taking all the

2:48:24 way here on the 3-0.

2:48:31 He is. And it's ball four.

2:48:34 This game is tied. Sokolove will score

2:48:37 easily. Super Reese stays put at first.

2:48:42 Brand new ball game in the bottom of the

2:48:45 ninth with one out.

2:48:47 And once again, it's a costly defensive

2:48:51 miscue for Loco Beach that puts the

2:48:53 Bananas back in this ball game.

2:48:56 Schlotman never tried to plant his feet

2:48:59 before trying to retire Dan who does run

2:49:01 very well, but Schlotman rushed himself

2:49:05 trying to make that play.

2:49:07 And now Zack Smith has been removed from

2:49:09 this game and it didn't look like C.J.

2:49:12 Williams was going to pitch tonight, but

2:49:14 he will appear for a third straight ball

2:49:18 game.

2:49:21 The bad bad man out of Deerfield Beach,

2:49:23 Florida.

2:49:25 Four-seam, two-seam, cutter, changeup,

2:49:27 slider.

2:49:28 The numbers superb.

2:49:31 Here in his first World Tour.

2:49:34 For Mark Krauss's closer.

2:49:36 Who we had last year on Banana Ball's

2:49:38 developmental team the Visitors as well.

2:49:41 Can't complain with a 3.44 ERA across 18

2:49:46 and a third innings of work.

2:49:49 He's on a nice little scoreless streak

2:49:51 right now for Loco Beach as well trying

2:49:54 to keep that going, but we saw Williams

2:49:57 pitted against Kyle Jackson a couple

2:49:59 times on Thursday and in round one of

2:50:02 showdown tiebreakers.

2:50:04 And Jackson was the hero against C.J.

2:50:06 trying to do it for a second time here

2:50:09 in Grayson this weekend.

2:50:12 Williams struck out K.J.

2:50:14 to send the game to showdowns on

2:50:17 Thursday night. Then Kyle Jackson worked

2:50:19 a sprint

2:50:21 and lofted a fly ball into left to bring

2:50:23 in Sokolov from second to win the ball

2:50:25 game. There goes Alexiades. Throw from

2:50:27 Osberg offline.

2:50:30 Super Reese

2:50:32 his seventh steal in eight tries this

2:50:34 year.

2:50:36 Two balls and no strikes on KJ.

2:50:40 With the game and series winning run now

2:50:43 in scoring position.

2:50:56 And that one misses down.

2:50:59 The Coconuts a ball away from losing

2:51:02 this series.

2:51:05 CJ Williams barking on the mound.

2:51:09 Wanted that call badly.

2:51:11 And the fastball NOWHERE NEAR THE ZONE.

2:51:15 KYLE JACKSON walks off game one and

2:51:18 walks off game three as the Savannah

2:51:21 Bananas have won their first series in

2:51:23 over a month taking two out of three

2:51:26 from the Coconuts.

2:51:30 ONE OF THE WILDEST three-game series

2:51:33 that we have experienced in Banana Ball

2:51:36 all season long. The team that was

2:51:38 leading in the eighth inning all three

2:51:40 of these games did not wind up

2:51:43 victorious this weekend and the Bananas

2:51:46 stun those comeback Coconuts with a

2:51:49 come-from-behind win of their own as

2:51:52 they take the series at home.

2:51:57 Reginald Horton

2:51:58 thrilled by the performance from his

2:52:00 fellas.

2:52:02 And Kelsey Whitmore.

2:52:09 Easton Parish in the first start of his

2:52:12 Banana Ball career is your showman of

2:52:15 the night.

2:52:17 A home run

2:52:18 in the first at-bat.

2:52:21 The conclusion to a 3-2 battle with Will

2:52:24 Ethridge.

2:52:25 Singles in each of his next two trips to

2:52:27 the dish.

2:52:28 And EP

2:52:30 the pride of LaVernia, Texas

2:52:32 for the first time in his career, is

2:52:35 Showman of the Night in a Savannah

2:52:36 Bananas victory.

2:52:37 >> And he said that one [music] of his

2:52:38 strengths was that he was a team-first

2:52:40 player for this Bananas squad, and that

2:52:42 was certainly the case tonight. You saw

2:52:44 all-out effort from EP throughout

2:52:47 [music] the game, and again, he knew

2:52:49 coming into this season that he wasn't

2:52:51 going to be one of those everyday

2:52:53 starters in this Bananas lineup.

2:52:55 Nonetheless, he said, "I just want to

2:52:57 impact this team any way possible, and

2:53:00 just make [music] sure that I'm a good

2:53:02 teammate."

2:53:03 >> He has certainly been that in the locker

2:53:05 room, but it was on display on the

2:53:07 diamond tonight. What a game for Easton

2:53:10 Parish, [music] the Banana Ball rookie.

2:53:14 The Coconut showed their metal across

2:53:15 this three-game set. The number that

2:53:17 jumps [music] out on this line, 17 hits

2:53:21 tonight.

2:53:23 This is a game that the Coconuts

2:53:25 certainly deserved to win,

2:53:29 but couldn't pull it out as Easton

2:53:31 Parish is with Sam Bewlman. Yeah, we got

2:53:33 Easton Parish, first-ever start, Showman

2:53:36 of the Game.

2:53:37 >> Thank you. You believe that?

2:53:39 Yeah.

2:53:40 Yeah, I do. No, uh

2:53:42 I I I I have no credit to anything.

2:53:46 Uh

2:53:46 praise God, and these dudes that are on

2:53:49 my team have believed in me since the

2:53:50 start, and it's been nothing but short

2:53:51 of amazing, and I'm only able to do

2:53:53 anything cuz of them, so. Uh EP Banana

2:53:55 Ball backstage, 11-year-old Marley, if

2:53:57 you could be a superhero, what superhero

2:53:59 would you be?

2:54:00 >> Uh I would be UH DR MEADOWS.

2:54:03 >> [screaming]

2:54:04 [cheering]

2:54:05 >> DR MEADOWS IS A SUPERHERO.

2:54:08 YES, EASTON PARISH, SHOWMAN OF THE GAME,

2:54:10 LET HIM LIVE IT.

2:54:13 I DON'T THINK THAT'S THE RIGHT DECISION

2:54:15 FROM Easton Parish right there. Holy

2:54:18 moly, what a scene down on the field as

2:54:20 we welcome you back inside

2:54:21 >> [music]

2:54:23 savant of Banana Ball. I am Biko Skalla.

2:54:25 Thank you so much for spending another

2:54:27 Saturday night with us here in virtual

2:54:29 Banana Land. What a win for the Nanners

2:54:31 to take the series.

2:54:32 >> There's nothing like the final inning in

2:54:34 Banana Ball. That was certainly the case

2:54:36 again. A great decision to put Hasley in

2:54:39 to pitch those last two innings. And

2:54:41 then a lot of disciplined plate

2:54:43 appearances from the Bananas leads them

2:54:45 to a series win back at home. A roller

2:54:48 coaster ride from start to finish KJ,

2:54:51 the walk-off winner in both victories

2:54:53 for the Savannah Bananas. Big shout-out

2:54:56 to our entire cast and crew. This

2:54:58 broadcast produced by Chadwick Fulkstad,

2:55:00 directed by Alex Gross. For Sam Bawlman

2:55:03 down on the field, Josh Tollifson up

2:55:05 here in the booth. I am Biko Skala

2:55:07 saying so long for now. Get yourself TO

2:55:10 THE TEXAS TAILGATERS YouTube channel for

2:55:12 some more Banana Ball. Until then, we

2:55:13 will see you later!
