📝 Full transcript (4275 segments)

1:12 Fans, the newest banana ball team,

1:19 >> With one sound of the sirens in Grayson

1:21 Stadium, the Firefighters officially

1:23 arriving for duty in banana ball in

1:26 2024. The third team to join the game

1:29 along with the Savannah Bananas and

1:31 Party Animals, a group much different

1:33 than those two titanic brands. One

1:35 representing grit, heroism, risk-taking

1:38 [music] toughness,

1:39 >> Logan Lacy becomes the fifth player in

1:42 banana ball history to pull off a

1:44 backflip catch.

1:46 >> and honoring the heroes who run into the

1:48 blaze across all of our communities.

1:50 >> It means so much more than I could have

1:52 ever thought.

1:53 >> It's everybody laying it all on the

1:54 line. Couldn't be more blessed.

1:56 >> Firefighters of the night are welcomed

1:58 alongside Parker Nolan, Val Perez, by

2:01 Zack Watson.

2:02 >> It represents hard work, it represents

2:04 discipline. Honor those people by how

2:06 hard you play. Do not take that for

2:07 granted.

2:08 >> Led by Val Perez, a 10-year firefighter

2:10 in Corpus Christi, Texas, and long-time

2:13 Bananas and Christian Dearman and Dakota

2:15 McFadden.

2:17 >> My dad's been a fireman for over

2:19 uh gosh, probably 50 years now. My

2:21 uncle's been in the fire department for

2:22 a long time. Never give in, doesn't

2:25 matter what the situation is.

2:26 >> And you know these guys never back down.

2:29 They're coming to save everyone that

2:30 they can.

2:31 >> Being the son of a firefighter, being

2:33 the nephew of a firefighter, and being a

2:36 friend of so many different

2:38 firefighters,

2:40 it feels like this was meant for me.

2:42 >> Fighting the flames for 19 games in

2:44 2024, a year of history for the

2:47 Firefighters.

2:48 >> Dakota McFadden, the first home run in

2:50 the history of the Firefighters

2:52 franchise. Under the leg to bring to

2:55 second, a trick play, and the first win

2:58 in Firefighters history.

3:00 >> [cheering]

3:01 >> And

3:01 he's tagged out,

3:03 and the Firefighters have won their

3:06 final game of 2024.

3:11 And it's the perfect ending for the boys

3:13 in red and yellow.

3:17 >> In 2025, the schedule going to 33

3:20 missions across the country, including

3:22 the team's very first headlining tour. A

3:25 three-city journey across Virginia, a

3:27 barnstorming month that left fans with

3:30 plenty of fiery moments.

3:32 >> Isaac Para, behind the back. Green

3:34 through the legs, double play with the

3:37 bare hand. Back flip, handspring. Yes,

3:41 sir. Into center field, is it gone?

3:44 >> [screaming]

3:44 >> Oh my goodness!

3:46 Noah Bridges

3:48 is the hero in Salem.

3:50 >> And a host of new characters, like

3:52 mascot Bo the Beaver,

3:57 and the first-ever Dalmatian bat dog.

4:00 >> [screaming]

4:02 [groaning]

4:03 >> The blaze spreading to major

4:04 proportions. The firefighters playing in

4:07 10 major league ballparks with their

4:09 first ever win in an MLB stadium coming

4:11 in Denver last August.

4:13 >> The Firefighters stopped the Nanners

4:15 winning streak at 14 games, and they

4:18 take game two here at Coors Field in

4:21 showdowns.

4:22 >> And they gave us one of the most

4:24 emotional nights in Banana Ball history.

4:26 >> We pause to honor

4:28 and remember,

4:30 reflecting on the lives forever changed

4:33 on September 11th, 2001.

4:36 And tonight, we honor both the lives

4:39 that were lost and the lives that were

4:41 saved because of the selfless actions of

4:44 first responders.

4:46 Firefighter John Lestello.

4:51 >> [applause]

4:53 >> Firefighter Chris Legrow.

4:56 >> [applause]

4:58 [cheering]

4:58 >> Firefighter Frank Perez.

5:02 >> [applause]

5:03 >> Firefighter Mike Modowski.

5:07 >> [applause]

5:10 >> And firefighter Chris Schindler.

5:15 >> [applause]

5:17 >> And firefighter Malcolm Moore.

5:21 >> [applause]

5:23 >> 9/11 first responder, Port Authority

5:27 >> [cheering]

5:31 [applause]

5:33 [cheering]

5:34 >> And 9/11 first responder, Lieutenant

5:37 >> [cheering]

5:38 >> Ari

5:41 And 9/11 first responder, Tom

5:45 Ahern.

5:47 >> [cheering]

5:49 >> And 9/11 batting first responder, Ryan

5:53 >> [cheering]

5:55 [applause]

5:58 >> First responder,

6:00 >> [cheering]

6:00 >> Ryan McQuaid.

6:02 >> [applause]

6:06 >> One more

6:08 time for our New York City Firefighters

6:10 >> [cheering]

6:12 >> and 9/11

6:13 first responders.

6:17 >> [cheering and applause]

6:21 >> Going into the postseason, the

6:22 Firefighters earning the four seed after

6:25 going six and 27, only winning three

6:27 times in 23 chances against the Savannah

6:30 Bananas, the odds stacked against them

6:33 going against the team in yellow. Until

6:35 Bradford Webb and [music] Ben Dump

6:37 stepped up.

6:38 >> Bradford Webb, six innings, six goose

6:41 eggs, four Ks. He was miraculous.

6:46 >> It's Ben Dump, the third fired up as he

6:48 dribbles this one over to first. Steven

6:51 Cohen will take it behind his back

6:53 >> [cheering]

6:53 >> and through the back and the

6:55 Firefighters

6:56 win game one.

6:57 >> Ben Dump, a nine-out save.

6:59 >> A one-nothing win in game one of the

7:01 semifinals, giving the Firefighters just

7:03 as good a chance as anybody else. But

7:06 they dropped game two by one point,

7:08 leading to a winner-take-all showdown in

7:10 Grayson Stadium. Dalton Cornett getting

7:12 his chance to shine and creating a

7:15 moment that will last in Banana Ball

7:17 history.

7:18 >> That ball demolished, deep out to right.

7:22 Gone!

7:23 Dalton Cornett

7:24 sends the Firefighters

7:26 to the 2025 Banana Ball World

7:29 Championship final.

7:31 >> [cheering]

7:33 >> I don't even have words right now.

7:35 This is like the greatest moment in

7:36 baseball history.

7:37 >> From four seed to the championship game,

7:40 the Firefighters becoming the ultimate

7:42 Cinderella story in Banana Land.

7:47 The Fire and Flames picking right up

7:49 where they left off in 2026. With

7:51 long-time Bananas Eric Jones Jr., Jared

7:54 Donaldson, and Zack Phillips officially

7:56 aboard, the team picked up its first

7:58 ever sweep in Banana Ball over the Loco

8:01 Beach Coconuts in Little Rock, Arkansas.

8:05 Launched an historic offensive

8:07 performance in Montgomery, Alabama,

8:09 [music]

8:10 scoring 22 runs in one game to beat the

8:13 Indianapolis Clowns 4 to 2. Then swept

8:16 the Party Animals for the first time

8:18 ever in Albuquerque, highlighted by an

8:20 incredible two rounds of showdowns in

8:22 game two.

8:23 >> The Firefighters are the two seed in the

8:27 Banana Ball Invitational.

8:29 >> Honestly, I've kind of done it so much

8:30 now, I'm pretty confident in myself

8:32 on that.

8:41 >> When you enter the fire service, you are

8:43 entering a brotherhood unlike any other.

8:46 And you're trying to be the one who is

8:48 going to save somebody's life every

8:50 single day. And you're in those

8:51 high-stress situations, that is a bond

8:53 unlike any other. So, remember when you

8:55 put these jerseys on who you represent.

8:57 Take honor in that, take pride in that.

8:59 When you enter this locker room, you've

9:01 officially entered the brotherhood of

9:03 the Banana Ball Fire Department. Let's

9:05 take pride in that.

9:09 >> On his first swing with the

9:10 Firefighters, A.J. pumps it!

9:14 >> Jared Donaldson strikes out the side,

9:17 his first frame against the Nanners.

9:19 >> Darnell Sweeney has walked it off the

9:21 Green Monster!

9:23 >> We're hot. We're hot, baby.

9:29 >> Noah Bridges is timeless.

9:33 >> We have a good offense.

9:35 >> Tidey with the big shot!

9:40 Darian McDowell!

9:41 >> Hey,

9:42 >> [screaming]

9:43 >> look at there.

9:44 >> Oh my goodness. What a lot of team

9:46 sports, baby. Let's go!

9:53 >> Dispatch to Banana Ball. All units

9:56 converge on Wichita. Game three here in

9:59 Kansas on the heels of one of the most

10:02 unpredictable ninth innings we've ever

10:04 seen in this sport just one night ago.

10:06 Missions are clear for the Firefighters.

10:08 A win to keep a sweep out of the realm

10:10 of possibility. For the Loco Beach

10:12 Coconut, they've already got three

10:14 straight series wins. So, why not add a

10:16 sweep to their hammock [music] of hits

10:18 here in Kansas. One more time around the

10:21 block here in Wichita. It's the

10:22 Firefighters. The Coconuts live and in

10:25 living color in the great state of

10:27 Kansas. Let's roll and welcome inside

10:30 the dispatch center here at Equity Bank

10:32 Park. It's AJ Swyteck. I'm Zach proudly

10:34 representing the good folks at station

10:36 two of the Wichita Fire Department. AJ,

10:38 last night at one point it was 10 to 3

10:41 in favor of the Loco Beach Coconuts. The

10:43 Firefighters showed a ton of grit, a ton

10:45 of what they represent with that name

10:47 across their jerseys. But, the Coconuts

10:49 right now might be playing the best of

10:51 Banana Ball in the sport.

10:52 >> And they're proving that a process

10:53 orientated team is able to find success.

10:57 This is a group that's able to kick

10:59 their feet up and know that when they

11:01 are playing at their best, they can hang

11:03 with anybody in this league. And that's

11:05 because they have a lineup that simply

11:08 mashes. They have bought into what coach

11:10 Krotko is saying and it is working. Boy,

11:14 oh boy, last night. Hope you like

11:16 fireworks because they were coming to

11:17 the plate party and the whole beach was

11:19 invited. Peyton shot Todd Ye. Six trick

11:22 plays on the evening. Loco Beach

11:24 dominated in that category as well. It

11:27 was a one nothing game as we head to the

11:29 bottom of the second. Zach, until the

11:31 top of the ninth inning, this was really

11:32 a back and forth brawl.

11:34 >> It really was and the big separator was

11:36 the trick play column again for the Loco

11:38 Beach Coconut's as Austin Temple

11:40 gives up a run here and ultimately a

11:41 point on a ball for sprint to Jordan

11:43 Brewer.

11:44 >> Trick plays Caden Green between the

11:46 legs, that is a sick double play and

11:48 then double trick play city back to back

11:51 to back [music] three of them

11:53 to give an ultimate spread of 12 to

11:56 three on double trick plays for the Loco

11:58 Beach Coconut's but then here come the

12:00 Firefighters. They've kept it close.

12:02 It's a two-two game. Sal Trimble

12:03 dropping an elbow for some reason. Then

12:05 Dane Toplin. Eric Jones knew it was gone

12:08 as soon as it left his bat. Sal Trimble

12:10 probably didn't even need to chase it,

12:11 AJ.

12:12 >> I like that. Then Dane Toplin.

12:13 >> Yeah, yeah. Big timber happened again.

12:15 How about it? Home runs on back to back

12:17 nights for number 23 in the teal and

12:19 orange, the only Canadian born Banana

12:21 Baller helped get his team a 4-2

12:24 advantage. One of those points from the

12:25 walk-off, one of them from the equalizer

12:27 point but the Firefighters pulled it

12:30 with in one. We head to the ninth

12:32 inning. Tanner Allen golden batter. The

12:34 fans for a second straight night helped

12:37 the Fire and Flame so Ben Dumb looks to

12:39 be rolling. Quickly one away. Nobody out

12:42 but the reigning pitcher of the year did

12:44 not have his stuff yet again against the

12:46 Beach. Gideon Ansel two home runs this

12:48 season, both against Ben Dumb the third.

12:51 This three-run home run actually proved

12:53 to be pivotal because it's a 10-3 lead

12:56 but after sending Zack Smith back to the

12:58 mound, the Firefighters gave the

13:00 Coconut's all they could handle.

13:02 >> Yes, they did. Caden Green scores two.

13:03 Noah Bridges hot shot to first. Jordan

13:05 Brewer couldn't bring it in. All of a

13:07 sudden, 10-8 game. You think the

13:08 Firefighters might have some magic but

13:11 Dalton Cornett just comes up 15 feet shy

13:13 of the wall and the Coconut's survive a

13:15 wild and volatile ninth inning and win

13:18 it 10-8, AJ.

13:19 >> Your showman of the game, Dane Toplin

13:20 for a second straight game in this

13:22 series. Four for five last night with a

13:24 homer, a pair of base knocks, a

13:26 two-bagger, five ribbies. He scored a

13:28 run and look at the bottom of that

13:29 screen. Loco Beach continues to etch

13:32 their name in history in the inaugural

13:34 season. This time around, 10 points, the

13:36 most in a Banana Ball game in over a

13:39 year. 14 trick plays, doubled up the

13:41 Firefighters. They scored more runs,

13:43 they scored more points, and they

13:44 secured a third consecutive series win

13:47 following the Banana Ball open. But

13:48 tonight, it's about making more history.

13:50 Can Loco Beach secure their first ever

13:53 three-game sweep in the history of the

13:56 franchise? Well, there's three players

13:58 who scored a lot of runs and helped get

14:00 the win last night. Their field side was

14:02 Sam Bowden.

14:05 >> Well, guys, the Loco Beach Coconuts were

14:07 slip-sliding away with that one in the

14:09 ninth last night and

14:11 yeah, six runs. A lot of guys get out on

14:14 the action and three of them are down

14:16 this way. We're going to start with

14:17 Ashby Vine. Yeah, Ashby, come on over

14:19 here for me.

14:20 Yeah, Ashby, you make sliding look so

14:22 good. We saw the jacket last night. A

14:24 little warmer today.

14:25 >> You think you're going to still utilize

14:26 that hot look?

14:28 >> Yeah, man, it's hot in this jacket. Not

14:29 much Loco Beach vibes, but it's hot,

14:31 it's working, you know, it worked for

14:32 the Ken Walkup batting a thousand in it.

14:34 So, I'm going to rock with it. Not sure

14:35 which at bat, but definitely got to go

14:37 with it, man. You're the guy.

14:38 >> Ashby, he looks good in it, too. Hey,

14:40 Gideon Ansel, Gideon had a

14:42 Yeah, we said he didn't have to slide

14:43 headfirst. He said, "There's no other

14:44 way I'm doing it." Gideon, I watched you

14:46 touch home plate with your finger. How

14:47 does it feel every time you get to do

14:49 it?

14:49 >> It's honestly a feeling that you can't

14:51 explain unless you felt it yourself,

14:53 man. We're just getting Loco out here.

14:55 Hope to do it again tonight, baby. Let's

14:56 go.

14:57 >> And finally, Dane Toflin. Yeah, Dane,

14:59 get on down here.

15:00 Professional slide right there. He's

15:02 been doing a lot of sliding. We got to

15:03 save his chest for the game. Dane, the

15:04 ninth inning was hot. How do we get Loco

15:06 Beach going the first inning, second

15:08 inning, third inning?

15:09 >> Hey, you can't hit if you don't swing,

15:10 so the boys are going to come out

15:11 swinging.

15:12 >> Guys, I think we're going to be sliding

15:13 into this game any minute now and these

15:15 guys are already rip-rearing and ready

15:17 to go. Back to you.

15:21 >> Good to hear from Jared Donaldson down

15:23 there on the field. Thank you very much

15:24 for that great sideline interview on

15:26 sliding day here on a Saturday. Reese

15:29 Hampton, that was absolutely sick behind

15:32 the back. The trick plays were

15:35 enthralling to say the very least with

15:37 the Party Animals in Atlanta.

15:39 But then we have that double trick play.

15:41 Hello.

15:42 But then T.J. Reeves,

15:45 that'll do the job. Runner on second,

15:47 he's not anymore. That runner by the way

15:50 takes gold. He must have had a real fun

15:52 day yesterday. Got his Georgia jersey

15:53 back from Kirby Smart then scores the

15:55 first point of the game for the Party

15:56 Animals.

15:57 >> I'm glad you brought up Kirby Smart. I

15:58 mean, what a historic night for the

16:00 sport in Truist Park, the home state of

16:03 the Savannah Bananas up in Atlanta,

16:04 Georgia. Yeah, Chipper Jones threw out

16:07 the first pitch for a strike that

16:08 counted for the Party Animals. You had

16:10 Kirby Smart in attendance and that

16:12 really set the tone. Don't let that

16:13 broken bat fool you. The Party Animals

16:16 were rolling. Bounce passes, trick

16:18 plays, all of it to boot. The

16:20 two-nothing lead never faltered. Black,

16:22 orange, green, that's what Atlanta was

16:25 painted just a night ago. They still

16:27 have two games remaining in the series.

16:29 One going as we speak. The Bananas

16:31 continue to show their veteran prowess

16:33 in the outfield with Dylan Meadows and

16:35 Rack and everyone. But at the end of the

16:37 day, this Party Animals team after

16:39 losing a series to Loco Beach came out

16:41 looking for vengeance.

16:43 >> And they found it in a multitude of

16:45 ways. [music] Hey, they've gotten

16:46 back-to-back wins over the Savannah

16:48 Bananas in big time situations. One at

16:51 Yankee Stadium and last night a 3-1

16:53 victory over the Savannah Bananas at

16:56 Truist Park in Atlanta. So, back-to-back

16:58 major league parks that they've done the

17:00 job against the team that is clinging to

17:02 that number one seed by the hair of

17:04 their chinny chin chins to say the very

17:06 least. Bill LeRoy,

17:08 nah, Tanner Thomas, [music] that'll do

17:10 the job in the A and the Excuse me, the

17:13 Firefighters, they just walked out here.

17:15 That's I'm just blessed out of my mind

17:16 for them. Party Animals win it 3-1. All

17:19 of a sudden, they're starting to show a

17:20 little life there [music] in fifth place

17:22 in the Banana Ball Championship League

17:23 standings. Garrett Delano was

17:25 unstoppable.

17:25 >> Six innings of work, he ate it up. It's

17:28 a quality start and then some. Three

17:30 strikeouts, didn't allow an earned run.

17:32 His two points earned were the

17:33 difference in a 3-1 ballgame. It was

17:35 pitching and defense night one in

17:37 Atlanta. The Bananas

17:39 lone point was the equalizer point,

17:41 Zach.

17:43 >> Yes, it was. That's all they could get

17:45 was the trick plays. Now, to Tulsa,

17:47 Oklahoma, where they started about an

17:49 hour and a half late because of a

17:51 rainstorm, but Donny Allen, now he's

17:54 starting right on time. Got down to his

17:56 skivvies

17:58 and just scooted all over that tarp.

18:00 That was beautiful. Daniel Foster looked

18:03 like the ball was wet on that one, threw

18:04 it right into the dirt. That'll get the

18:06 first point of the game for the Texas

18:08 Tailgaters. Jordan Hussein, you are a

18:09 madman. Taylor Justice, you're a madman.

18:12 Double trick play [music] as Brett Latus

18:14 will take

18:15 for Kirkland Banks. That looks like

18:17 triples alley right there because it is

18:19 triples alley. Sliding on in. Huge one

18:21 for KB.

18:23 >> [music]

18:23 >> That's off Chris Clark, too. Eli Payton,

18:25 the owner of a cycle, goes right back to

18:27 the alley. That's a double. All of a

18:29 sudden, they're showing some signs of

18:30 life against one of the premier starters

18:33 in the sport in Chris Clark. Kirkland

18:34 Banks, watch Matt Wolfe drop down to his

18:37 underwear and then watch Kyle Martin

18:39 send one to the moon. Absolute tattoo

18:43 from K-Mart. [music] He is

18:45 ripping the cover off Banana Balls left

18:47 and right everywhere he goes, A.J.

18:49 >> Chris Clark has been proving he's human,

18:51 right? He came out unbelievable to start

18:53 this year, but even in a day where he

18:55 didn't have his ace stuff necessarily,

18:57 the ace for the Tailgaters left the game

18:59 with the lead. It's 2-1. And when you've

19:01 got guys like this defensively, you know

19:03 what to show. Matt Wolfe, Correlle Prime

19:05 able to get things tied up at twos, but

19:07 then he got hold of Sizers. You want to

19:09 talk about a no-doubter? That's the

19:11 definition in the dictionary. There was

19:13 never a second thought that that two-run

19:15 homer was leaving the yard and it set up

19:18 for fireworks because the Clowns all of

19:21 a sudden have come from behind in the

19:24 Lone Star State.

19:26 >> And that's because A fan caught foul

19:28 ball on Bobby LaDay leads us to Jackie

19:30 Bradley Jr. 37 seconds before this

19:33 entrance, he had a single. Goes right

19:35 back up because the golden AB and

19:37 there's a reason they call it golden.

19:40 His signature moment in the sport,

19:42 two-run Oppo Taco. That would give the

19:45 Clowns a 5-3

19:47 lead. He went opposite field in

19:49 Richmond. He goes backside again in

19:52 Tulsa. That's it. That's all. The Clowns

19:55 win it 5-3 for their first victory over

19:58 the Texas Tailgaters in the team's

20:00 existence and JBJ

20:03 three out of six and was as golden as

20:05 promised.

20:06 >> He's on an entirely different level. I

20:08 mean, it's so fun watching these rookies

20:10 just embrace the sport. Feel the rookie

20:12 of the year chase through the screen

20:14 because Jackie Bradley Jr. and Dane

20:16 Tophlin, two showmen of the game last

20:18 night, have been arguably the two best

20:20 players in this league and they're both

20:22 rookies. Tophlin for the Coconuts,

20:24 Bradley Jr. for the Clowns. Both

20:26 electric. JBJ's two-run golden batter

20:29 home run just illustrates why I love

20:31 that rule the way I do. Please ignore

20:32 the score. The Clowns did win the game

20:35 last night

20:35 >> Yep.

20:35 >> 5-3. So, that series tied at once over

20:39 in Atlanta, the Party Animals have a

20:41 one-nothing advantage, but the only

20:43 series that's already been decided is

20:45 right here at Equity Bank Park. The

20:47 Coconuts are already up two-nothing.

20:49 Tonight, it's not beach to you. They're

20:50 looking to bring the brooms to you and

20:52 sweep the Firefighters for the

20:54 franchise's first ever three-game series

20:57 sweep.

20:57 >> The Firefighters looking to try anything

21:00 they can to avoid that as Nuts is low on

21:03 the ground. You were talking about the

21:04 golden AB rule. I've been talking about

21:06 the golden AB rule. It's one of my

21:08 favorite rules of banana ball. There's

21:09 11 rules of banana ball and we got to

21:11 find out what each 11 of them are with

21:13 the man, not the myth cuz he's the

21:15 legend, the virtual hat man, Jesse Cole,

21:19 to explain the banana ball rules.

21:25 >> Banana ball is the fastest and most

21:27 entertaining show in sports and the 11

21:30 rules guarantee the most fans first

21:32 experience every [music] second.

21:33 >> Unbelievable!

21:35 >> Welcome to the Banana Ball Championship

21:37 League.

21:38 >> Rule number one, win the inning, win the

21:40 point. The team that scores the most

21:42 runs in an inning wins the point.

21:44 >> It's a walk-off winner!

21:46 >> To the deepest [cheering] part of the

21:47 field!

21:48 >> Oh my goodness!

21:49 >> With the equalizer point, trick plays

21:51 provide the away team an opportunity to

21:53 earn a point going into the final

21:55 inning.

21:56 And in the final inning, every run

21:58 counts as a point.

21:59 Rule number two, banana ball has a

22:01 two-hour time limit guaranteeing that

22:04 every game is fast-paced and

22:06 action-packed.

22:08 Rule number three, no stepping out of

22:10 the batter's box. If you do, it will

22:12 result in a strike.

22:13 >> Max stepped out of the box and because

22:15 he stepped out of the box, that's it!

22:17 >> Rule number four, no bunting cuz bunting

22:20 sucks.

22:21 >> [music]

22:21 >> If you bunt, you'll be thrown out of the

22:23 game. Rule number five, batters can

22:25 steal first base.

22:26 >> Ball three, Gideon taking off for first,

22:28 throw from Leroy, in time!

22:31 >> Rule number six, there's no walks. Walks

22:35 are ball four sprints. The batter can

22:36 advance as far as they want until every

22:39 position player touches the ball.

22:41 >> No defenders have touched the banana

22:43 ball. It is a four-base sprint to open

22:46 up the ball game!

22:47 >> Rule number seven,

22:49 no mound visits.

22:51 Nope.

22:52 Rule number eight, foul balls caught

22:54 [music] by a fan count as an out.

22:56 >> Oh, they caught it!

22:57 Take it! He can't call it! On the top

23:00 porch!

23:00 We're going to showdown.

23:02 >> Rule number nine, the showdown. In

23:05 showdowns, the best of the best face off

23:07 in the biggest moment. One hitter versus

23:10 one pitcher with one fielder behind him.

23:12 And the hitter has to score.

23:14 >> Take the right

23:16 center.

23:17 See

23:17 you later.

23:19 >> Rule number 10, the banana ball

23:20 challenge rule gives the coaches and

23:22 you, the fans, a chance to impact a call

23:25 on the field.

23:27 Rule number 11, the golden batter. Once

23:30 a game, each team can give any player an

23:32 at bat regardless of the lineup. This

23:34 offers the biggest matchups on the

23:36 biggest stage.

23:37 >> Big on big. Game over,

23:40 it's gone.

23:41 It's gone.

23:42 It's gone.

23:43 Get out of here, boy.

23:45 That thing

23:46 had a

23:48 >> And those are the rules of banana ball.

23:52 >> Those are the bullet rules of banana

23:54 ball. That is Jesse Cole telling us

23:56 that. Let's go to the BBCL standings

23:58 here. And the first thing that you see,

24:00 the Loco Beach Coconuts, just about 3

24:03 weeks ago, were in dead last place. You

24:05 know, in second with a 10 and 9 record,

24:07 AJ.

24:08 >> Ha, ha, ha.

24:10 What did I tell you?

24:12 >> that?

24:12 >> The Loco Beach Coconuts are on a

24:15 different level. It's just about time

24:17 you start to buy in because I'll tell

24:19 you what, everyone who's had a chance to

24:20 experience the beach is all the way in.

24:23 The chips are pushed to the center of

24:24 the table, and we're not even in Las

24:26 Vegas anymore. The Coconuts have won

24:29 five straight. And get this, that's

24:31 three series in a row. You're only two

24:33 and a half games back from the Bananas.

24:35 So, let's take a peel back a little bit,

24:37 Zach Staten. The Bananas played two

24:38 games against the Party Animals here in

24:40 Atlanta. The Coconuts have this game

24:42 remaining against the Firefighters. But

24:43 then, Loco Beach is going to head to

24:46 Savannah in Grayson Stadium to play

24:48 three games, a set against the Bananas.

24:50 If you win today, all of a sudden a

24:52 series win against the Bananas can get

24:54 you into first place in the BBCL

24:57 literally a month removed from being at

24:59 the bottom. That's the parity and that's

25:01 the excitement of the Banana Ball

25:02 Championship League.

25:03 >> Now, let's reverse the result of

25:05 tonight's game. Let's say the

25:06 Firefighters win and they go to 10 and

25:07 9. Coconuts are 10 and 10. The

25:09 Firefighters reverse it and go right

25:11 back up into a tie for second place with

25:13 the Texas Tailgaters. Currently, we're

25:15 tied technically in the World Tour

25:16 head-to-head 1-1. Tailgaters are the

25:18 only team, by the way, that can feel

25:20 real good about themselves cuz they've

25:21 already clinched with that inaugural

25:23 Banana Ball Open Championship. Remember,

25:25 you win that, you get an automatic spot

25:27 into the Banana Ball post-season in

25:29 October. So, the Tailgaters

25:31 living good here.

25:32 And you know who else is living good?

25:34 The kid that's in a fire truck about to

25:36 hit a home run.

25:38 >> He's the biggest of the big.

25:40 The toughest of the tough.

25:43 And the baddest of the bad.

25:46 He is 5 years old and he just got his

25:49 license to drive this fire truck.

25:53 Fans,

25:54 give it up for tonight's hero hitter,

25:57 Ronan!

26:04 Fans, Ronan has a tough task ahead. He

26:07 has to hit a home run

26:09 against these naughty, naughty Coconuts.

26:13 And remember, he's just 5 years old.

26:17 He steps in the box.

26:19 Kyle Perry talks to 5-year-old and it's

26:21 just not fair.

26:23 Pitch number one.

26:24 A big swing and a miss from Ronan.

26:27 Fans, he needs your help.

26:30 Cheer him on so he can hit this home

26:31 run. Here we go.

26:34 There's no way Kyle just just taunted.

26:37 Come on, baby.

26:38 Hit a homer.

26:39 Another big swing and a miss.

26:42 It's not looking good for Ronan. He has

26:44 two strikes. But wait a minute.

26:46 Here comes Bo.

26:48 He places the tee on home plate. Oh my

26:51 gosh, he tackles Cal Perry.

26:54 The ball's on the ground. Rodon's going

26:55 for it. He's ready. He's ready to go.

26:59 Rodon is ready. He's a sneak attack. Oh

27:01 my gosh. [screaming]

27:02 Oh my gosh.

27:04 >> [cheering]

27:04 >> Rodon smoked it down the third base

27:06 line.

27:08 The ball goes up right field. Oh my

27:11 gosh.

27:12 Rodon is making his way to second. The

27:15 coconuts had no idea what was going on.

27:17 It was a total sneak attack.

27:20 Rodon is rounding second. The coconuts

27:22 just now realize what's happening

27:25 as Rodon makes it to third.

27:27 He rounds. The play at the third is not

27:30 there.

27:31 >> [cheering]

27:32 >> Here he comes, fans. It's going to be

27:34 close.

27:36 The play at the plate. Safe.

27:42 Fans, give it up for tonight's hero

27:44 hitter, Rodon.

27:48 He's hitting our signature firefighter

27:50 chop.

27:53 Wichita, Kansas, the cast is ready. The

27:58 players are ready. But it's now time for

28:02 you, the fans, to get ready. So we need

28:06 everybody on their feet.

28:12 Now, Wichita, with everybody on your

28:15 feet, please help me welcome

28:18 our [screaming] fan warm-up 7-year-old

28:22 Marley.

28:25 >> [cheering]

28:29 >> All righty, Marley. So this is what's

28:31 going to happen.

28:33 Whatever dance moves you do, everyone in

28:36 this sold-out capacity crowd is going to

28:39 do as well.

28:41 So, are you ready?

28:44 >> Yes.

28:45 >> All right, you heard her.

28:51 Start clapping those hands, Wichita.

28:53 Here we go.

28:56 We're rolling.

29:00 Wait, jumping jacks.

29:02 Get moving.

29:06 And we're spinning.

29:12 Wait a minute, are we at the disco now?

29:18 Touch your toes.

29:24 Wichita, please give it up for our fan

29:29 warm up, 7-year-old

29:31 >> [cheering]

29:32 >> Marley.

29:51 >> Ladies, gentlemen, [music]

29:53 boys and girls, hot shots and smoke

29:56 shows from around the world. Tonight,

30:00 you and thousands of your friends here

30:01 live and millions more watching at home

30:05 have gathered to witness something

30:06 beyond your wildest [music] imagination.

30:09 From sparks to sirens, from the station

30:12 to the stadium, firefighters from across

30:15 the globe have come together to witness

30:18 this.

30:19 This is not baseball. This is a crucible

30:23 where the toughest, hottest, and most

30:26 entertaining players are forged. This is

30:28 a game of the fans, by the fans, and for

30:32 the fans. But this is not your

30:34 granddad's pastime, no, and this is not

30:36 any other night at the firehouse. This

30:39 game is baseball by birth, fruit by

30:42 name, and an absolute worldwide

30:44 phenomenon by the grace of God. But,

30:48 make no mistake. When the heat gets too

30:50 intense, we don't cool off. We run

30:52 towards the flames. This is a time for

30:55 all 12,000 people in attendance to get

30:59 on your feet and give me your voices.

31:06 >> [cheering]

31:07 >> Because this is the hottest show in

31:09 sports. Ladies and gentlemen, this is

31:12 Banana

31:14 Ball.

31:15 >> [screaming]

31:23 >> Time to play [music] the game.

31:28 And now, the starting lineup for your

31:31 Fire Fighters.

31:34 Leading off, the hot shot at shortstop,

31:37 number two, Peanut

31:40 Green.

31:44 >> [cheering]

31:45 >> Batting second, the designated hitter,

31:48 number three, Dalton Cornett.

31:56 In the three hole, manning the hot

31:58 corner, number 11, Logan Showtime Lacey.

32:08 Batting cleanup, the hot from the plate,

32:10 number four, Eric Jones Jr.

32:18 In the five hole, ranging left field,

32:21 number zero, Lamar [screaming]

32:24 Sparks.

32:28 Batting sixth, at first base, number

32:31 seven, Mason Maxwell.

32:37 In the seven slot, the extra hitter,

32:40 number 24, Dakota G Mac McEachern.

32:48 In the eighth hole, ranging right field,

32:51 number 10, Darian McMillan.

32:57 >> [music]

32:58 >> Batting ninth, playing second base,

33:01 number eight, South

33:03 Smoke Grimball.

33:08 And the decky, ranging center field,

33:11 number nine, Noah Bridges.

33:18 Tonight's starting pitcher, the

33:20 flamethrower on the mound, number six,

33:22 Austin Temple.

33:28 The firefighters are led by Battalion

33:30 Chief Al Perez, Captain Corey Pi, and

33:34 Lieutenant

33:35 Ruben Essa.

33:48 Ladies and gentlemen,

33:51 at this time, we ask all those who are

33:52 able to please rise, uncover your heads,

33:55 and turn towards the flag with your

33:56 right hand over your heart for this

33:58 evening's performance of our national

33:59 anthem.

34:01 Performing this evening, please welcome

34:03 Jovi Garcia with her rendition of the

34:06 Star-Spangled Banner.

34:12 >> Oh, say can [singing] you see

34:17 by the dawn's early light,

34:22 what so proudly

34:24 we hailed

34:26 >> [singing]

34:26 >> at the twilight's

34:28 last gleaming?

34:31 Whose broad stripes and [singing] bright

34:34 stars

34:36 through the perilous

34:39 fight,

34:41 o'er the ramparts

34:43 we watched,

34:46 were so gallantly

34:49 streaming?

34:51 And the rockets'

34:53 red glare,

34:54 >> [screaming]

34:56 >> the bombs bursting

34:58 in

35:00 air,

35:01 gave

35:02 proof through the night [singing]

35:05 that our flag was still there.

35:10 Oh,

35:10 say does [singing] that star-spangled

35:16 >> [singing]

35:17 >> banner yet

35:18 >> [screaming]

35:22 >> wave o'er the land

35:26 of the free

35:30 and the home

35:33 of the brave?

35:37 >> [crying]

35:39 [cheering and applause]

35:40 >> Thank you, guys.

35:45 That's a lovely, lovely voice.

35:48 A great rendition of the national anthem

35:50 as we start game three right here in

35:53 Wichita, Kansas as we light them up one

35:56 more time. The missions are clear on

35:59 both sides in the fire station, salvage

36:02 the series at least with one win. If

36:04 you're on the shores of Loco Beach,

36:06 wherever that might be in your hearts

36:09 or in your life,

36:10 break out the brooms. That's the biggest

36:12 thing you could do. You do that, next

36:14 week becomes a massive series with the

36:16 Savannah Bananas, and it could already

36:18 become even more massive should the

36:19 Party Animals take the series this

36:21 weekend in Atlanta. As we start getting

36:23 ready to look at what we do on the mound

36:26 tonight. You heard Austin Temple's name.

36:28 He's not on the mound. He was there last

36:30 night. I'd be stunned if his arm would

36:31 allow him to actually get back on the

36:33 mound. Night Donnie Day, baby. Jared

36:36 Donaldson is up on the mound for the

36:39 Firefighters. The clear Saturday

36:40 starter, could be the clear Thursday or

36:42 Friday starter for the Firefighters on

36:44 game one's 26 and 1/3 innings. Boy, he's

36:47 been mighty effective. Those 21

36:48 strikeouts coming into the weekend was

36:50 good enough for fifth in the Banana Ball

36:52 Championship League. 3.42 ERA First

36:54 starting pitcher is real darn good. But

36:56 he goes up against his former teammate

36:58 in Andy Archer. But Donnie's the guy to

36:59 watch tonight.

37:00 >> Whole lot of veteran experience on this

37:02 graphic. Two former Bananas ready to go

37:04 toe-to-toe in fresh threads. Andy

37:07 Archer, Jared Donaldson. Donaldson's got

37:09 this group behind him defensively.

37:10 Really, the big thing I'm highlighting

37:13 here for the Firefighters South Trimble

37:14 in at second base. Tanner Hughes, the

37:17 designated fielder, will not be batting

37:19 in this one.

37:19 >> Actually, I want to make one correction.

37:21 Tanner Hughes is the designated runner.

37:23 Zachary Bridges is catching in the place

37:25 of Eric Jones Jr. as the designated

37:27 fielder. So, ZB is your designated

37:30 fielder. Eric Jones Jr. is in the lineup

37:32 tonight. He'll be listed as your

37:33 catcher. So, Tiny is the designated

37:36 runner, but South Trimble, for the first

37:37 time this year, makes a start at second

37:40 base. You [cheering] know, have to do it

37:41 against the Loco Beach Coconut team that

37:43 will likely give him a lot of work.

37:44 >> Yeah, this lineup don't care who the

37:45 designated fielder is. They simply mash.

37:48 Tanner Allen, 54 total bases, that's the

37:50 best in the Banana Ball Championship

37:52 League. Oh, but you got through him. Oh,

37:54 it must be smooth sailing. No, you've

37:55 got Dane Toplin in the two, Jordan

37:57 Brewer in the three. A guy like Ben

37:59 Parker batting fifth. Ash B Biding, the

38:01 youngest clean-up bat in the league.

38:03 Gideon Antle hit his second homer last

38:05 night. Eric Asberg's got 10 years of pro

38:07 experience. Top to bottom, this lineup

38:10 is so, so tough. It's tougher than a

38:12 Dollar Tree steak. So, it's Jared

38:14 Donaldson against the lineup that leads

38:16 the league in hits and a runs. Sharp

38:19 versus sharper. Who's going to get the

38:21 better and the last laugh in this one?

38:23 For the first two games it's been Loco

38:24 Beach, but Donaldson has been the best

38:26 arm on this Firefighters team. He'll

38:29 take the rubber after we ring the bell.

38:32 >> Wichita, it's about time we get this

38:35 2-hour banana ball time limit started,

38:38 but I need some help. Please welcome

38:40 3-year-old Riggs.

38:44 >> [cheering]

38:47 >> Hello.

38:48 >> Hello Riggs. Thank you so much for

38:50 helping us out. I'm going to have you

38:51 face the crowd so everybody can see your

38:53 wonderful face. Now, here's what's going

38:55 to happen. On the count of three, myself

38:57 and 12,000 people in attendance are

39:00 going to yell ring the bell. And when we

39:03 do, you're going to do just that. Here

39:06 we go. 1 2 3 Ring the bell!

39:16 Showtime.

39:20 >> Oh, leading off for the Loco Beach club.

39:22 >> Wichita gave us a nice a nice wait for a

39:25 ringing of the bell.

39:26 But now we're underway. Tanner Allen.

39:30 Has usually been the two-hole hitter

39:31 before this weekend with Ben Parker

39:32 going back in the middle of the lineup

39:34 with a knee injury as JR Donaldson goes

39:36 right after him with the splitter for

39:38 strike one.

39:39 But this guy has been incredible,

39:41 especially this weekend [music] as the

39:43 lead-off hitter.

39:46 He'll go up against one of the best

39:47 starters you'll find here

39:49 with the Firefighters.

39:50 >> Tanner is 364 average, 364 OBP. This is

39:53 a slow roller down the line. Foul.

39:56 >> And he about kicked it there, too.

39:58 >> Last night that's a ball that feels like

39:59 it would have stayed fair and went in

40:01 the advantage of Loco Beach. I mean, so

40:03 many little infield hits started to add

40:05 up, but this time it evaded Tanner Allen

40:09 and good and tight rope walked that red

40:11 line. A unique feature here at Equity

40:12 Bank Park. Red foul lines for the

40:14 Firefighters.

40:15 >> We saw that last week in Richmond and we

40:17 see it again here in Wichita. That's a

40:19 good looking slider there from Donny.

40:21 Talked to Logan Lacey about those slow

40:22 rollers down the third base line last

40:24 night. He's like, at one point at what

40:26 point do you just throw your hands up

40:27 and just say this is ridiculous.

40:29 That's a liner. Foul.

40:32 >> He's got ridiculous pop. I mean, Tanner

40:34 Allen makes it look so easy. That's such

40:36 an effortless swing to just be able to

40:38 laser it like that. Foul. If he

40:39 straightens it out, it's trouble.

40:42 >> We'll see if he can straighten it out

40:43 here or if Donny straightens him out

40:45 with the K.

40:46 Neither.

40:47 >> Bring a glove.

40:49 >> I think that one might have tipped foul

40:50 netting anyway, so it wouldn't have

40:51 counted, but hey.

40:53 >> AJ's right, bring a glove. We have seen

40:54 two fan caught foul balls. They have

40:55 both been

40:57 for the firefighters. Not without some

40:59 controversy, either.

41:01 >> Yeah, one challenge. The other one,

41:03 coach Craco adamantly says he wishes he

41:05 challenged.

41:06 And that does not happen every weekend.

41:09 >> TA works it full.

41:13 Right back up the gut and that's why a

41:14 long AB is so effective in banana ball.

41:16 Darian McDowell will swing it back

41:18 around. He's got a heck of a cannon.

41:19 Throw into second, but Tanner Allen legs

41:21 out a double.

41:23 >> The league leader in total bases adds

41:25 two more. It's a lead off double. I told

41:28 you, if he straightens out the swing,

41:30 it's as dangerous as they come.

41:31 Electricity early. Sparks flying from

41:34 Tanner Allen. There's a runner in

41:36 scoring position for Big Timber, who's

41:38 already homered twice in the series.

41:42 >> Toflin has been one of the most

41:44 effective bats we've had here in Kansas.

41:46 Five for 10

41:48 and five RBI on the weekend. Slugging

41:52 percentage 1.20.

41:55 And that is going to help it. And it's

41:57 another one. Third homer of the weekend.

42:00 >> Gabe Toflin has done it again.

42:03 Three consecutive nights with long

42:05 balls.

42:07 Big Timber, you are not human. With his

42:11 mother in attendance. It's a two-run

42:14 yard call. Welcome back to the beach.

42:17 They waste no time to ride the momentum

42:20 wave all the way into the plate. Dane

42:23 Tomlin, you must know Sam Balmy like a

42:26 book at this point.

42:27 >> Hey, hey Dane, you going to share any of

42:29 the home runs with the rest of the team?

42:30 >> Uh, I'd like to keep them for myself.

42:32 >> Yeah, he's going to keep hitting them,

42:33 guys. Back to you.

42:36 >> Sam Balmy heard all across Wichita.

42:39 Very nicely done.

42:41 >> So now the Firefighters really need just

42:42 a fresh start here. The first two at

42:44 bats not going the way of Donny in the

42:45 least bit.

42:47 >> This is one of the most dominant

42:48 weekends I've seen in any sport.

42:49 >> Uh, three consecutive nights with homers

42:51 to left to the exact same part of the

42:53 park?

42:55 >> That's called seeing beach balls at the

42:56 plate. Dane Tomlin is playing on a

42:58 different level. He is out of his mind.

43:01 >> Slugging percentage 494

43:04 for the Coconuts this weekend. It's

43:05 awfully good. 304 average.

43:09 >> They've been absolutely immaculate at

43:11 the plate and as Jordan Brewer swings

43:12 it, strike one. And by the way, last

43:14 time Donny pitched against the Coconuts,

43:16 this was the guy that hit a home run

43:18 against Donaldson.

43:20 Now it's Dane Tomlin as he works well

43:22 inside and Donny right now maybe just

43:23 needs to find a little calm.

43:27 3-1 count.

43:30 And a fourth one

43:33 would be a ball for a sprint. Why did I

43:35 say four one? All four, all seven, Lord,

43:38 all seven fielders have to touch the

43:40 banana ball before they can tag Brewer

43:42 out. So already, a double, a two-run

43:45 homer, and a ball for a sprint to the

43:46 credit of the Loco Beach Coconuts and

43:48 Donaldson has yet to record an out.

43:51 >> Yeah, you talk about building a brand in

43:52 an inaugural season.

43:56 Welcome to the beach. This is it.

43:57 >> Vining. Oh, real big trouble from Logan

44:00 Lacy trying to turn behind the back. Oh,

44:02 but they got the double play anyway.

44:06 >> It wasn't the cleanest behind the back

44:07 transfer from Logan Lacey.

44:10 But they do give them both outs and they

44:12 do give them the trick play. So the

44:14 first TPO of the night goes to showtime

44:17 at third base.

44:19 >> Probably too early to bring out the

44:20 challenge. That is so close at first,

44:22 but a big call helps Donaldson to a

44:24 second out.

44:25 >> Boy, it would be real effective and real

44:27 helpful

44:29 if the Firefighters could get the trick

44:30 play equalizer points tonight. At least

44:32 deny it. They have given it up each of

44:34 the last two nights.

44:36 And it's really hurt them. In fact, it

44:37 was the reason they lost night one

44:40 and gave the Coconuts

44:41 a big leg up going into the ninth

44:43 inning.

44:44 Donny already down 3-0 in the count as

44:46 Mark Rocco

44:48 has to be seeing beach balls himself.

44:54 Parker tried to lean in as much as he

44:56 could on that one.

44:59 The biggest muscles God ever made

45:01 goes up against Donny with a 3-1 count.

45:03 Rocked right back up the middle of the

45:04 base knock and that is three hits

45:07 already in the first inning.

45:10 >> Also really big, it looks like the Loco

45:12 Beach coaching staff is going to leave

45:13 Ben Parker out there to run. So the knee

45:15 healthy enough to stay on the paths now.

45:17 That's a really good sign as things move

45:19 forward. It brings up another guy who's

45:21 already homered in this series with an

45:22 OPS north of a thousand and 18 RBI

45:25 matching his jersey number. Gideon

45:26 Antell steps up to the plate.

45:29 >> Donny would like to figure out how to

45:31 get some momentum back from this team

45:33 quick, fast and in a hurry.

45:40 He's falling behind basically everybody

45:42 he's faced though with some early 2-0,

45:45 3-0 counts. But that one sent to the

45:47 heavens.

45:49 Sal Trimble Oh, they tried for the trick

45:51 play and that's

45:53 is a defensive miscue and a half. That's

45:56 probably the first

45:58 That That's the first jitters of

45:59 starting at second base here. It's Sal

46:01 Trimble who's been so good with the

46:02 trick plays, gets caught off by Peanut.

46:07 But just a lot of miscommunication there

46:08 as South tried to pop it up well too

46:10 high.

46:12 Instead, it goes down as a mis-trick

46:13 play.

46:13 >> That's been the Achilles' heel for the

46:15 Firefighters this weekend, right? I I

46:17 mean, now up to six on the series. It's

46:20 added up.

46:21 And now Osberg had a chance to take

46:22 advantage and really tear this first

46:24 inning open after that mistake.

46:26 >> Eric Osberg has hit one time in eight

46:28 plate appearances.

46:31 That's about the only time he's appeared

46:32 on the base pads either. Donnie gets him

46:34 2-1. You talked about it. The pitching

46:36 has not necessarily been the problem.

46:38 Obviously, the ninth inning last night,

46:40 neither team will brag about their

46:41 pitching as Osberg sent this one down

46:43 the left field line well foul.

46:46 But the

46:46 the defense for the Firefighters has

46:48 been far too sloppy. I think that's

46:51 putting it nicely.

46:52 >> It's just it's it's not been up to stuff

46:54 for a team that won seven straight

46:55 equalizer point battles coming into this

46:58 weekend.

47:00 Now giving up back-to-back is that one

47:01 will sting in the morning.

47:04 >> Off the ankle of Eric Osberg.

47:06 Joe Filomeno

47:08 >> He's saying, "Let's go. Let's speed this

47:09 up. It's been an 8-minute first inning."

47:12 Joe Filomeno, by the way, has slept 6

47:14 hours the last 2 days. He flew back to

47:15 see his wife. Now came back today to

47:17 help his team pitch.

47:18 >> That is a family man. Throw down to a

47:20 second.

47:22 In time. So, ZB

47:25 catches Gideon Antal stealing, and that

47:27 will be the inning. But not before Loco

47:29 Beach again puts up two in the first

47:31 frame. The Firefighters got a lot of

47:33 work to do to get back into the swing of

47:35 this one.

47:36 It's Loco Beach, man. They're just

47:38 tearing the cover off the ball. And even

47:39 when they don't, there's been some

47:41 defensive miscues as you take a look at

47:44 Dane Toflin. I mean, what else can you

47:46 say? It's a picture-perfect swing, A.J.

47:50 >> Zack, I know that I'm a little bit

47:51 younger, whatever, but you grew up, too.

47:54 I I Do you remember Mario Brothers on

47:55 the Wii?

47:58 >> Yes.

47:59 >> I could talk to you all day about

48:01 something. I'm just trying to see what

48:03 happens.

48:03 >> I'll go where I was going with it. This

48:05 guy is playing secret world in an

48:07 entirely different level that we didn't

48:09 even know existed. Dane Toplin is

48:11 unbelievable. He's the starting third

48:13 baseman for Loco Beats tonight, but look

48:15 at this. Dalton Maldonado, the songbird,

48:18 gets in at second base, but you won't

48:19 see him touch the field tonight. He's

48:20 only going to bat, but Gonsalvo Jacobo,

48:23 the team's leader in trick plays with 38

48:25 is the designated fielder and he'll be

48:27 playing second all night long. Defending

48:29 the hill for Andy Archer. The big arch

48:33 gets the nod to start game three here

48:36 against the Firefighters batting lineup

48:38 that has had themselves an up and down

48:40 weekend.

48:42 >> Caden Green has jumped up to the

48:44 lead-off spot after hitting fifth for

48:46 the first two games. He leads all

48:47 hitters in this league in batting

48:49 average.

48:49 >> And one person you will not see in the

48:51 lineup today is Tyner Hughes, the

48:52 typical lead-off hitter for the Fire

48:55 Flames, has been given the day off.

48:58 So, the Firefighters will now trust one

49:00 of the best hitters in the sport right

49:01 now to get him going. He has not hit

49:04 lead-off since his Juco days,

49:06 but says he's looking at this as the

49:08 opportunity to set the tone.

49:10 Those stats

49:12 are just as good as you could possibly

49:14 ask for here in the sport. The 473

49:16 average is just absurd. And this is no

49:18 no longer small sample size. This is 18

49:20 games worth of it.

49:22 He looks at a 1-1, fouls that one back

49:24 to make it 1-2. Last night came up with

49:26 a massively clutch hit in the ninth

49:29 inning.

49:29 Two RBI double down the left field line.

49:33 Good eye. Archer trying to work him

49:35 outside.

49:42 Oh, and it's a backwards K bending the

49:44 knees of peanuts.

49:47 Frozen. Andy Archer lose the glove, lose

49:50 the mitt, and shake those hips. Five

49:53 pitch punch out. Again, Loco Beach comes

49:57 out firing on all cylinders. That one

49:59 stolen for a strike by Ashby Vining who

50:02 framed it up perfectly.

50:05 Strike zone is at the shins tonight.

50:08 That one goes inside on Dalton Cornett.

50:12 Peanut didn't like it.

50:15 Doesn't care.

50:17 DC 3 that looks very much like what he

50:18 hit last night.

50:19 >> Gideon Antal going for it. Between the

50:22 legs, the manscape catch.

50:24 >> Gideon Antal, so creative in the field.

50:28 Reintroduces you to the trick play he

50:30 coined the manscape. Haven't seen it for

50:33 over a month, but he's still got it in

50:35 his deep bag of tricks. Go between the

50:37 legs, put it all on the line for your

50:38 team for out number two.

50:41 >> And Logan Lacey sends one to the

50:42 heavens. Ashby Vining trying to catch up

50:45 to it. It'll be into the fans and out.

50:47 >> Bring a glove.

50:49 Come on, Ashby Vining ran out of real

50:51 estate. He was watching and when you've

50:53 got Ashby's eyes on you, I know the

50:55 pressure gets a little bit higher, but

50:56 you've got to catch it. The face of the

50:59 beach would have loved it. He would have

51:00 given you a hug and brought you down

51:01 onto the field. Instead, it's a long

51:03 strike to make it an 0-1 count for

51:05 showtime.

51:05 >> Logan Lacey trying to get something

51:07 together on a two out rally. That won't

51:09 do the job. That goes foul.

51:19 Andy Archer thought he had just hit

51:20 strike three.

51:26 So, we'll try the one-two. Lacey, did he

51:28 break out the sword? No.

51:31 It's awfully tight.

51:34 Firefighters just need something to go

51:35 their way here.

51:37 Two-two with the two outs. Lacey stays

51:40 alive.

51:49 Try it again.

51:50 And a swing and a miss. And that's two

51:53 strikeouts for Big Arch in the first

51:55 inning. The CocoNuts again win the first

51:57 point of the game.

51:58 >> Shake your hips. Shake your hips. Shake

52:00 your hips. Deuces are so wild in a 2-2

52:03 count with two away. Andy Archer gets

52:05 his second strikeout of the day. And

52:07 it's a point for the Loco Beach

52:09 CocoNuts. Let's go Loco, baby.

52:13 Wichita, if you've been to a Banana Ball

52:14 game before, you might have seen the

52:16 world's slowest race. It always goes

52:19 very viral on social media. Well, here

52:22 at the Banana Ball Fire Department, we

52:23 like to switch it up. So, this is the

52:26 Dalmatian race. Please welcome Puppies,

52:29 Larson, Neil, Sullivan, Baker, Olivia,

52:32 Maisie, Remington, and Birdie.

52:35 All right, parents. This is about to get

52:38 intense. On your marks, get set, drop

52:41 your babies.

52:44 The first baby Dalmatian across the

52:47 finish line is going to win the

52:49 Dalmatian race. We do not have any

52:51 movement as of yet, but we do have lots

52:54 of tears.

52:56 This is

52:57 Okay.

52:58 Sullivan's making a little bit of

52:59 movement.

53:01 Crowd, the louder you cheer, the faster

53:03 they crawl.

53:07 Sullivan, don't look at me. Look at your

53:08 mom. Go to mommy.

53:11 Go to mommy.

53:13 Wichita, I told you this was going to be

53:15 intense. This is anybody's race.

53:19 Maybe one of them will take their first

53:21 steps here in Wichita.

53:23 >> This is just Dalmatians. And boy, oh

53:25 boy, is it must-see TV down on the dirt

53:29 at Equity Bank Park. We've moved all of

53:31 a centimeter, but the line's moving

53:33 closer. Someone's got to grab the finish

53:36 line. Something has to give. One little

53:39 Dalmatian wants to win the race.

53:42 >> AJ might be by paw.

53:43 >> a mom cheating.

53:46 >> Don't break integrity. Get back over

53:48 there. Yeah, you listen. That's right.

53:50 Come on. Domations, you were made to be

53:53 on all fours. Who wants it the most?

53:56 >> Oh, we've got a match.

53:59 >> All you got to do is reach out and

54:01 believe that Domation race goes to lane

54:05 number one, much like the 2002 Kentucky

54:09 Derby.

54:11 >> There is Jared Donaldson on the mound

54:13 this morning. Donnie,

54:15 Marshall Schill, Val Perez, Chief, and

54:18 myself had the wonderful chance to go

54:19 visit Station 2 of the Wichita Fire

54:22 Department.

54:23 As you take a peek there at what we did,

54:26 one of the firefighters, B.J. Parsons,

54:28 who's been a part of Wichita Fire for 20

54:30 years, has a young son named Jake. He's

54:33 7 years old, second grade, is about 6

54:35 and 1/2 days from going into third

54:37 grade. He's actually correcting me,

54:38 telling me he's 8 years old.

54:41 And Jake is here on the mic with us

54:42 right now. Jake, you had a game today at

54:44 1:45.

54:46 How you feeling right now?

54:47 >> Uh, yeah. Yep.

54:49 >> Was it good?

54:50 >> Yeah, it was.

54:50 >> How'd you perform?

54:51 >> I did really good. Yeah.

54:53 >> Get a hit?

54:54 >> Yeah, I hit.

54:55 >> Yep. Left field?

54:57 Then came in as a pitcher, weren't you?

54:58 >> Yeah, yep.

54:59 >> There you go. Now, one of the guys you

55:01 met

55:02 was the guy throwing right now, Mason

55:04 Maxwell. Oh, between the legs. Donnie,

55:07 looking for a trick play. That's the

55:08 second one of the firefighters game. And

55:11 how about this? You saw Jared Donaldson

55:13 with the earpiece in.

55:14 >> Yeah.

55:15 >> It's because Look at this. Jake, you're

55:17 on TV. Wave.

55:20 Donnie,

55:22 look at that.

55:23 Jared

55:25 Jared Donaldson on the mic.

55:27 Jared Donaldson wanting to get Jake to

55:29 call him a few pitches here. I don't

55:31 know if it'll come at this point.

55:32 >> Next at bat.

55:33 >> Next at bat, he wants it. Okay.

55:37 Off a surfboard is Cayden Bowler. Jake,

55:39 have you ever seen anybody bat off a

55:41 hoverboard?

55:41 >> No, not in my life.

55:43 >> And would you ever try it?

55:45 >> Uh sure, yeah.

55:46 >> Wow, he said he would try it. All right.

55:48 I like the sounds of that.

55:51 >> Oh, we lost it.

55:52 >> Big strike thrown in there from Donnie.

55:54 >> Hold on.

55:57 Got himself a trick play.

55:59 I bet you go splitter.

56:02 >> I told you. Big swing and a miss.

56:05 And Kaden Bowler go back to the dugout

56:07 with a K. All right. Jared Donaldson,

56:09 what do you call the next at bat? All

56:10 right.

56:11 >> All right.

56:11 >> So, remember he likes to throw a

56:12 fastball, splitter, slider. What would

56:15 you like in this first pitch?

56:16 >> Um a splitter.

56:17 >> My man, dude. You know right.

56:19 >> Look at that, Donnie.

56:21 He knows you too well.

56:22 >> Grady Morgan up.

56:25 There we go, Jake. Come on, baby.

56:27 >> Splitter induced a foul ball. Good first

56:28 pitch. What do you want second?

56:31 >> All right.

56:31 >> Jake, we can double up, too. Don't

56:32 forget.

56:33 >> Okay.

56:34 >> What do you want second pitch?

56:36 >> A fastball. Fastball.

56:37 >> Dude, that's exactly what Zito gave me.

56:39 Come on.

56:42 Oh, Jake. Come on, baby.

56:44 >> It's 0 and 2. This could be for a

56:46 strikeout. What do you want here?

56:47 Splitter, fastball, slider. What do you

56:49 want?

56:50 >> Slider.

56:51 >> Ooh, slider?

56:52 >> Jake, can we go slider to a front flip

56:54 celebration?

56:55 >> Ooh, slider? He might do a front flip

56:57 celly if he gets a strikeout.

57:02 Oh.

57:02 >> That's all right. That's all right.

57:03 >> That's all right. Hey, you're

57:04 >> Jake, that was a good pitch out there,

57:05 dude. I like it.

57:08 >> All right.

57:09 >> All right, what do you want, big guy?

57:10 >> Um let's try a splitter again.

57:13 >> baby.

57:14 >> Good.

57:15 >> Yep.

57:15 >> Zito knows it.

57:16 >> What do you think, big guy?

57:17 >> Yep.

57:18 >> 1 2.

57:20 Oh.

57:20 >> That's all right.

57:21 >> Hold on, I lost you. Hold on.

57:22 Hold on.

57:23 Hold on.

57:24 >> All right.

57:26 >> Jake, can you hear me or not?

57:28 I don't know where the mic is.

57:29 >> All right, you doing good? What do you

57:30 want?

57:31 >> Let's try splitter, Jake, to a front

57:32 flip. I can't really hear you.

57:33 >> He wants a splitter. All

57:34 >> right.

57:37 >> Oh, Jake! Oh, Jake!

57:39 >> Let's go!

57:41 Yeah!

57:42 >> I lost you, Jake.

57:44 >> [laughter]

57:44 >> Let's go, baby! Come on!

57:47 >> The 8-year-old second grader from

57:49 Mohegan Grade School has just

57:50 >> Jake, I can't hear you, brother,

57:52 but

57:53 I love you.

57:56 Come on, baby! Let's go!

57:57 >> Donny giving his

57:58 love

58:00 to Jake. Jake, I want you to stick

58:01 around here for a minute, man. You might

58:02 be the good luck charm.

58:03 >> All right.

58:04 >> Mohawk Mike, can I make

58:06 Well, yeah, I was about to say, Mohawk

58:07 Mike, let's make the executive decision

58:08 here. Jake, let's turn around and get

58:09 you on the big cam.

58:10 >> Who picked it up?

58:11 >> We might need to put you on a chair

58:13 here. You want to step up onto a chair?

58:16 Look at this. An 8-year-old is as tall

58:18 as me and A.J. Jake, first of all,

58:20 [cheering]

58:21 look at the eye black here, folks. You

58:22 know who did that? Jared Donaldson this

58:25 morning put the the the lines on him and

58:27 then kind of making it a little bit

58:29 messy. You're having a blast right now,

58:30 aren't you? This morning you did not

58:32 have tickets to come here and then Donny

58:33 helped you out, didn't he?

58:34 >> Yeah, he did.

58:36 >> He did. He did. See, man of few words.

58:38 Now, you got a big hit today in left

58:40 field.

58:41 >> Yeah.

58:41 >> And then you went onto the bump and

58:42 actually pitched for a little bit,

58:43 didn't you?

58:43 >> Yeah, I did.

58:44 >> How'd you do?

58:44 >> I did good.

58:45 >> You did good. Any strike outs?

58:47 >> Yeah.

58:47 >> Good. How many?

58:48 >> Um, three.

58:49 >> You can lie and tell me Oh, good. Three.

58:51 Big three and then you just called a

58:53 strike out for Jared Donaldson on live

58:56 TV.

58:57 That's got to be the coolest thing ever,

58:58 right?

58:59 >> Yeah.

58:59 >> Your dad has told me

59:01 Your dad has told me as we take a look

59:02 at the video of Look at this. Jared

59:04 Donaldson giving you the eye black. You

59:06 had to feel like the coolest person in

59:07 the world right there, didn't you?

59:10 See it right there on the TV? Yep.

59:11 >> Yeah.

59:11 >> Felt like the coolest person in the

59:12 world as we're already playing banana

59:13 ball. Eric Jones Jr. Oh, just barely

59:16 beaten out.

59:18 Jake, we'll turn you around.

59:19 >> All right.

59:20 >> All right, I got you.

59:22 Man, he's going to call the inning

59:23 standing on a chair.

59:24 >> [laughter]

59:25 >> I'm going to help you out here. E.J.

59:26 lines out

59:28 to start this one off, Lamar Sparks, our

59:30 five-hole hitter.

59:32 How have you been enjoying your first

59:33 Banana Ball game, bud?

59:35 >> Yeah, I like it.

59:35 >> You like it? Good. Your dad has been a

59:37 firefighter now for 20 years. He told me

59:40 if you don't play baseball, you probably

59:42 want to be a firefighter yourself,

59:43 wouldn't you?

59:43 >> Yes. Yeah.

59:44 >> What do you love about the firefighters

59:45 and the fire department here in Wichita,

59:47 getting to ride around with your dad?

59:49 >> Uh everything. Just everything. Like I I

59:52 would like to put out fires.

59:54 >> You like to put out fires?

59:55 >> Yeah.

59:56 >> How many fires have you put out in your

59:57 eight years?

59:58 >> None, but I've seen I've seen some

1:00:00 fires.

1:00:01 >> Oh, you would like to. Okay.

1:00:02 >> And that's really, really inspirational.

1:00:04 Is your dad one of your biggest heroes?

1:00:07 >> Is my dad what?

1:00:08 >> One of your heroes?

1:00:09 >> Yeah. Yep.

1:00:14 >> Call that one in for a trick play for

1:00:15 Peyton Shot Anyae.

1:00:18 Your dad's got to be had to have taken

1:00:19 you on some really cool trips.

1:00:21 >> Yeah. Yeah.

1:00:21 >> What what's been the best one so far?

1:00:25 At least with the fire department.

1:00:26 >> From the fire department?

1:00:27 >> Yeah.

1:00:30 Big trucks and everything?

1:00:31 >> Yeah,

1:00:32 um

1:00:33 >> Have you ever gotten to sound the horn?

1:00:34 >> Yeah.

1:00:35 >> Dude, I have too. See, my father-in-law

1:00:36 is a firefighter, so he took me on a

1:00:38 drive one summer eve, and I got to sound

1:00:40 the siren and the horn.

1:00:42 I was 30 years old, and I felt like I

1:00:43 was your age again.

1:00:45 >> Yeah. Yeah. My dad would like to be 30.

1:00:49 >> [laughter]

1:00:51 >> That's good. That's good, Jake. You fit

1:00:53 right in up here.

1:00:54 >> That's great.

1:00:55 >> BJ didn't hear that. I do not want to

1:00:57 put his son under the bus here. By the

1:00:58 way, Jake is such a special person. He

1:01:01 was actually hoping that his cousin,

1:01:03 Dane, could get on the mic, too. We

1:01:04 don't have enough mics here, but Dane

1:01:06 actually had a ball game today, too.

1:01:07 They won, didn't they?

1:01:08 >> What did they win by?

1:01:09 >> Um I don't know. It is What?

1:01:12 >> It was two nothing.

1:01:14 >> It was like 12 12 to to like one or

1:01:17 something.

1:01:18 >> 12 to one, okay. I was told two nothing.

1:01:19 Jordan Brewer just got himself a trick

1:01:20 play. Jake, hey, you're the absolute

1:01:23 man. We're going to turn around and say

1:01:24 goodbye to you on the camera one more

1:01:25 time. I got you, big guy. Hey, it's been

1:01:28 a special time having you. Thanks for

1:01:29 having us today

1:01:30 >> Yep.

1:01:30 >> at the fire department. Tell your dad we

1:01:32 appreciate him. He's actually standing

1:01:33 right there.

1:01:34 >> PJ, come here real quick.

1:01:35 >> PJ, come on out.

1:01:36 >> Come on out. Look at that.

1:01:37 >> Cousin Dane, here's PJ. Dane's father,

1:01:40 EJ or DJ. Come here. See, we got AJ, BJ,

1:01:43 CJ, DJ.

1:01:45 >> are two letters long.

1:01:46 >> Two of the best of the Wichita Fire

1:01:48 Department right here. We thank you guys

1:01:50 so much. This has been one of the most

1:01:52 special miked ups we've ever had. Jake,

1:01:54 thank you so much, bud.

1:01:55 >> Yes.

1:01:57 >> Ladies and gentlemen, in which Wow, you

1:01:58 guys got really excited for these

1:02:00 shirtless men.

1:02:01 Calm down. This is not your game. This

1:02:04 is Nina's game. Nina, you are about to

1:02:07 play a game that we like to call guess

1:02:09 that chest. I'm going to have you feel

1:02:11 all three chests. Oh, all all all four

1:02:15 chests. And you have to guess which one

1:02:19 is your boyfriend. At the end of feeling

1:02:22 all these chests, she has to guess which

1:02:25 one is her boyfriend of Let me Let me

1:02:28 tell you, 5 years and he's planning on

1:02:30 engaged getting engaged soon. All right,

1:02:33 Nina. Up first,

1:02:35 chest number one.

1:02:40 Okay, the chest the the chest, Nina.

1:02:44 Nina, the chest. Okay. All right, and

1:02:46 we're moving on to chest number two.

1:02:48 Nina.

1:02:49 >> [laughter]

1:02:49 >> Oh, jeez, Louise. Nina, chest number

1:02:53 two. Yep, there

1:02:55 Okay.

1:02:57 All right. Uh-oh. Okay.

1:03:00 Moving on to chest number three.

1:03:02 Okay. All right, she liked it. And last

1:03:05 but not least, chest number four.

1:03:08 Okay.

1:03:09 >> [laughter]

1:03:10 >> So sorry. So sorry. All right, turn and

1:03:12 face this camera even though you can't

1:03:13 see. She is blindfolded. Nina, it all

1:03:16 comes down to this. You've been together

1:03:18 5 years. You should know this.

1:03:21 Which one is your boyfriend?

1:03:23 >> Obviously, test number one.

1:03:31 >> Nina, take off your blindfold

1:03:34 and say hello to your new boyfriend.

1:03:40 Oh, no.

1:03:41 All right. Well, at least he's not going

1:03:43 home alone. This is going to be a very

1:03:46 awkward drive home. Now, let's guess

1:03:48 that chest.

1:03:50 >> Stepping in.

1:03:53 What a pleasure it was to have Jake P, 8

1:03:55 years old,

1:03:56 come up here. We've gotten some comments

1:03:58 saying he's actually been darn good in

1:03:59 the booth.

1:04:01 And he called a strikeout for Donnie.

1:04:03 That's the way to get back on the

1:04:04 tracks.

1:04:07 The big guy.

1:04:10 Got a couple of strikeouts in the second

1:04:12 inning. Went 1-2-3. Dalton Malden

1:04:15 going up against his former teammate and

1:04:16 swinging right out of his shoes. By the

1:04:18 way, three trick plays in that inning

1:04:20 for the Loco Beach Coconuts.

1:04:23 And Dalton Malden has a second single on

1:04:25 the evening. So, excuse me, second

1:04:27 single on the weekend.

1:04:29 >> The only noise near as beautiful as

1:04:31 Dalton Malden's voice is a barrel to a

1:04:33 banana ball. Right up the middle for a

1:04:34 single. You know, I'd die for Loco

1:04:37 Beach. I would, but I have to give the

1:04:39 flowers to Jared Donaldson, Zach Staten,

1:04:41 everyone involved. That was a really

1:04:43 cool moment to be able to bring Jake,

1:04:45 the son of a firefighter in the area, to

1:04:47 the booth and have him call a strikeout.

1:04:49 I mean, that's that's what this sport is

1:04:51 all about. It really is. And it's

1:04:52 another mishap up the middle. But they

1:04:54 still got a trick play out of it. So,

1:04:56 they missed a trick play and then

1:04:57 somehow get a trick play.

1:05:00 >> So, that's been back-to-back tip drills

1:05:02 that have not gone the way of the Fire

1:05:03 and Flames. And again,

1:05:05 miscommunication. Now, you give credit

1:05:07 to him for going back for it, and that's

1:05:09 a heady play by Peanut knowing that it

1:05:10 was right there.

1:05:12 You cannot keep messing around

1:05:15 on those kinds of things. So, Tanner

1:05:16 Allen will reach on a fielder's choice.

1:05:19 And now Dane Toplin, who has a two-run

1:05:20 homer on his ledger tonight, comes right

1:05:23 back up quickly, already in the second

1:05:26 round here through the lineup for the

1:05:27 Nanas.

1:05:30 >> It's already a three-home run series for

1:05:32 Dane Toplin. One on night one, one on

1:05:35 night two, one early here on night

1:05:37 three. Anything else is just a cherry on

1:05:39 top.

1:05:39 >> I would bet you there have not been

1:05:40 many, if any, three-run home run

1:05:42 weekends this season in Banana Ball,

1:05:45 except for this man right here.

1:05:49 Donnie trying to work him inside, won't

1:05:50 work, and it's a 3-1 count. Ball four

1:05:53 sprint on the cables, already given one

1:05:54 up to Jordan Brewer tonight.

1:05:59 Big swing and a miss. Oh, a steal?

1:06:01 Caught down again. The second runner on

1:06:03 the base paths stolen

1:06:06 by ZB.

1:06:07 The steal of second base taken away.

1:06:10 >> And that really wasn't particularly

1:06:12 close. Uh it looked like Tanner Allen

1:06:14 maybe wasn't sure that he had the steal

1:06:15 sign. He got a really late jump.

1:06:18 >> Full count. Big timber into the stands.

1:06:22 Don't think anybody has a shot at that

1:06:23 one. You almost think he was trying to

1:06:26 get a head start on the ball four

1:06:27 sprint, realized it wasn't a ball four

1:06:29 sprint, and was already too far out.

1:06:32 >> That's exactly what it was.

1:06:33 >> Zachary Bridges has a cannon behind the

1:06:35 dish,

1:06:36 and it's a ball four sprint. And Donnie

1:06:38 was halfway to the dugout.

1:06:41 >> Yeah, he still hands on knees, thought

1:06:43 that one was a strike. I wouldn't mind

1:06:44 another look at it, but I also

1:06:45 understand, if I'm a home plate umpire

1:06:47 with the way Dane Toplin's seeing the

1:06:49 Banana Ball, anything close, I give him

1:06:51 the benefit of the doubt, because he's

1:06:52 had the best feel for the strike zone of

1:06:54 anyone in this series.

1:06:55 >> Look, Kaden got struck out with the

1:06:58 strike at the knee. Here at the shins.

1:07:02 I'm just saying.

1:07:04 Well, Brewer might have just helped him

1:07:06 out.

1:07:07 South Trimble underneath. Do they have

1:07:08 the trick play this time? Trick drill.

1:07:11 Mason under the legs. Call them both in

1:07:13 for a double trick play, and the magic

1:07:16 man

1:07:17 has his first trick play at second base

1:07:20 this season.

1:07:21 Gets it into a double trick play, and

1:07:23 here's Bella Lane with Bananas Foster.

1:07:26 >> Across the United States, there are over

1:07:28 400,000

1:07:30 children and teens in foster care

1:07:33 without a permanent home. To raise

1:07:35 awareness and support this community, we

1:07:38 created Bananas Foster, the official

1:07:41 non-profit of Banana Ball.

1:07:44 Our organization is dedicated to

1:07:46 celebrating those in the foster care

1:07:49 community while educating and inspiring

1:07:52 others to get involved. Tonight, we are

1:07:55 celebrating the Geeseman family. Danica

1:07:59 and Jason became a licensed foster

1:08:02 family 11 years ago [music] with the

1:08:05 goal of helping children in their

1:08:07 community. They have welcomed 10 kiddos

1:08:11 into their home and impacted countless

1:08:14 others by starting their own non-profit,

1:08:18 which provides support and resources to

1:08:21 kids in foster care.

1:08:23 Fans, please join us in celebrating this

1:08:26 amazing family for making a difference

1:08:29 right here in your community.

1:08:46 >> Such a special moment

1:08:49 during every Banana Ball game, but this

1:08:51 one is specially special.

1:08:53 Bella Lane, her last time on the field

1:08:55 during her spring internship,

1:08:58 and she's done such a phenomenal job

1:09:00 honoring those who have made impacts in

1:09:03 their communities. Bella, you've made an

1:09:05 impact on Bananaland continually

1:09:08 honoring and showing love for all the

1:09:10 foster families across the country.

1:09:14 And doing it with humility and class.

1:09:16 So, Bella, thank you for an amazing

1:09:18 spring internship and nice hat choice.

1:09:21 >> Want to say the same thing for Casey

1:09:23 Barker, my friend from Virginia. Her

1:09:25 last weekend on the job with Bananas

1:09:26 Foster. They've done unbelievably in

1:09:29 their spring internships. Again, you

1:09:30 want to text bunch to 50155 to help out

1:09:33 so many great foster care families

1:09:35 around the country

1:09:37 with Bananas Foster.

1:09:38 >> And of course, major applause to this

1:09:39 family as well. Uh just such a special

1:09:42 moment here in Wichita. It really does

1:09:44 always make me smile ear to ear.

1:09:46 You

1:09:47 will very rarely see the same exact

1:09:50 thing twice at a Banana Ball game, but

1:09:51 there's a reason that that stays

1:09:53 consistent across all six shows. Bananas

1:09:55 Foster continues to do great things

1:09:57 across the country, and now it's time

1:09:59 for the bottom of the third. Andy Archer

1:10:01 back out there on the hill. He's got

1:10:02 7-8-9 due up in the order, McFadden,

1:10:05 McDowell, and Trimble

1:10:07 for the Firefighters.

1:10:10 >> So, we've had a little bit of everything

1:10:11 in this game. Had a home run from Big

1:10:12 Timber. Had a seven, excuse me, an

1:10:14 eight-year-old

1:10:16 strike out Grady Morgan

1:10:18 with Jared Donaldson.

1:10:21 What is left to be had here this

1:10:23 weekend? Dakota McFadden

1:10:27 looks at the 2-1. The first ever player

1:10:29 signed to a Banana Ball deal.

1:10:32 One of the first ever Firefighters in

1:10:34 the team's existence, and he's got

1:10:36 himself a ball for spring. Really, his

1:10:38 AB last night was about the first time I

1:10:39 think Firefighter fans could feel we

1:10:42 might have something brewing real

1:10:43 special here in the ninth inning.

1:10:45 He sends one foul. Sal Jacobo had one

1:10:48 eat him up a little bit at second base,

1:10:50 but D-Mac was hustling down the line,

1:10:52 beat the throw out. It was reviewed, and

1:10:54 it was overturned. D-Mac sends one to

1:10:57 the fans, please don't catch our OG.

1:11:00 I don't think they had a shot.

1:11:02 DeMac ultimately was safe after being

1:11:04 called out.

1:11:06 And that helped start a rally along with

1:11:07 Peanut's two-run RBI two-run double.

1:11:11 That probably won't do the job though.

1:11:13 Brewer Oh, between the legs. Good lord,

1:11:16 man.

1:11:17 >> Two manscapes in one game for the right

1:11:19 side of the Loco Beach defense. And it's

1:11:21 a point to the outfield, a point of

1:11:23 respect from Jordan Brewer. He says,

1:11:25 "Yeah, Gideon Atwell, you taught me that

1:11:26 one." Those two have been working on the

1:11:28 manscape in batting practice all season

1:11:30 long. Jordan Brewer has his first one

1:11:33 out of ball in foul ground. And Ashby

1:11:35 Vining's getting the crowd into it

1:11:36 behind the plate.

1:11:37 >> Darien McDowell has one home run on the

1:11:39 year. It came against the Loco Beach

1:11:41 Coconut's.

1:11:43 He would love to find number two against

1:11:45 the Loco Beach Coconut's right here and

1:11:47 right now.

1:11:48 Good eye.

1:11:50 We've been seeing Trey Hudson is not

1:11:51 going to give pitchers against righties

1:11:53 that outside corner right now.

1:11:58 2-0

1:11:59 Oh, a liner down the left field line.

1:12:01 That should be extra bases all the way

1:12:03 to the corner.

1:12:04 That one could have rolled all the way

1:12:05 back up to Tulsa, Oklahoma. And it's a

1:12:08 double standing up for Darien McDowell,

1:12:10 a premium shot in just the nick of time.

1:12:13 >> And that's a premium premium position on

1:12:15 the bases that Tyner Hughes is taking

1:12:17 over for. Because this is the

1:12:19 inning-winning run now in scoring

1:12:20 position after a screaming double

1:12:23 careened around in the left field

1:12:24 corner. Tyner Hughes takes over as the

1:12:26 DR. If he scores, this is a 1-1

1:12:28 ballgame.

1:12:29 >> Max is up.

1:12:31 Chop hard. South Tremble in for his

1:12:33 first cut of the night, already making

1:12:35 his first start at second on the season.

1:12:37 And he lines one into left field. Does

1:12:39 Tyner chase it? Yes, he does. Gets the

1:12:41 wave around from Val. Throw to the

1:12:43 plate. Not on target. And just like

1:12:46 that, smoke makes the lead disappear

1:12:50 for the Loco Beach Coconut's. It's an

1:12:52 RBI single for Sal Trimboli. And what a

1:12:55 way to swing your first bat of the

1:12:56 night.

1:12:57 Walk-off single, and make it a 1-1 game,

1:13:00 A.J.

1:13:01 >> Great answer from the Firefighters after

1:13:03 giving up the early point in the first

1:13:05 and being held off the board for a

1:13:06 couple of innings, the offense shows up

1:13:08 in a big way. It's a double followed up

1:13:10 by an RBI single that has this game

1:13:13 deadlocked at a point a piece as we

1:13:15 check out the Bahama Mamas down on the

1:13:17 field.

1:13:18 What?

1:13:20 >> We are going to find his Bahama Mama. We

1:13:23 have three beautiful contestants who are

1:13:26 going to strut their stuff to prove to

1:13:28 you, the fans, that he deserves that

1:13:31 title. Peter, I'm going to have you head

1:13:33 a little bit closer to home, and we are

1:13:35 going to meet our first contestant. I'll

1:13:37 have you just take Take a few steps that

1:13:39 way, Peter. Come on. All right.

1:13:41 Contestant number one, what is your

1:13:43 name?

1:13:43 >> Allie.

1:13:44 >> Allie, all right. Let's see what you

1:13:46 got.

1:13:48 >> I'm on floor somewhere.

1:13:51 >> It is 5:00 everywhere and always. Let's

1:13:54 see who's [music] going to win over the

1:13:55 heart of Mr. 5:00 himself. Receding

1:13:57 hairline.

1:13:59 She doesn't mind. She still loves it.

1:14:01 She's digging Peter Collada. So do I.

1:14:03 Oh, ho, ho.

1:14:04 >> Peter Collada kind of looks like that

1:14:05 old bird from the Muppets.

1:14:07 >> He reminds me of Hot Wings Rio.

1:14:10 >> Nice.

1:14:12 >> I actually don't get that reference, but

1:14:14 I'm going to go with you on that one.

1:14:15 >> C.J., by the way, again. A.J.

1:14:18 >> B.J. Parsons, Firefighter.

1:14:20 >> C.J., closer for the Coconuts,

1:14:23 >> C.J. Williams, closer for the Coconuts.

1:14:25 >> Correct. C.J. Williams.

1:14:26 >> E.J.J.

1:14:27 >> Eric Jones Jr., yep. D.J., Firefighter

1:14:30 who we just saw.

1:14:32 >> It's beautiful.

1:14:34 All good things come with J's.

1:14:37 And that's why I call Peter Collada

1:14:39 Peter Collada J. P.C.J.

1:14:41 >> Really? I didn't hear you calling him

1:14:42 that.

1:14:43 >> Well, me and Peter more speak in sign

1:14:45 language.

1:14:47 I've never heard Peter's voice. I just

1:14:48 know it's beautiful.

1:14:50 Because otherwise I don't think these

1:14:51 Bahama Mama's would be this up close and

1:14:53 personal with them.

1:14:54 >> It probably sounds like

1:15:00 That's a horse.

1:15:01 >> [music]

1:15:01 >> It's not a bird.

1:15:02 >> That was meant to be yellow angry bird.

1:15:05 >> Do you have a favorite angry bird, Zach?

1:15:06 >> Uh probably the the yellow one.

1:15:09 >> That too.

1:15:09 >> I think that's the one that like splits

1:15:10 into like five.

1:15:11 >> No, that's the blue one.

1:15:12 >> Oh, yeah. What's

1:15:13 >> one's the one that goes fast. You put

1:15:14 the thing in

1:15:15 >> Oh, yeah. Yep. Yep. You're right. Yep.

1:15:16 That's why I like him. He goes fast.

1:15:18 It's very much like my friend Smoke.

1:15:20 >> I was thinking Johnny Hummel with the

1:15:21 Kachow.

1:15:22 >> Yep. Johnny Hummel as well.

1:15:24 >> On the beach most things kind of go

1:15:27 at a little bit of a slower pace. We

1:15:29 like to kick our feet up and drink from

1:15:31 twisty [cheering] straws. And proud

1:15:32 winners of Bahama Mama. Look at that.

1:15:35 Peter's found himself a wife.

1:15:38 >> You drink from a twisty straw, huh? I

1:15:39 drink from a fire hose.

1:15:41 >> Yeah, twisty straw again seems a little

1:15:43 bit more chill.

1:15:44 >> A little

1:15:45 >> bit more my speed. Ashby Vining is

1:15:47 definitely my speed. He's coming for my

1:15:50 title of the best hair at the beach. We

1:15:51 had a little bit of a conversation

1:15:53 today. Who's got the better hair? Ashby?

1:15:55 Me? You know, I'll tell you what. He's

1:15:57 the battery made for Andy Archer and

1:15:59 Andy took my side. So, I'm going to take

1:16:00 that as a win.

1:16:03 One thing Ashby's definitely got me beat

1:16:05 on

1:16:07 is swinging the bat.

1:16:09 >> Maybe not like that, though. High in the

1:16:10 sky, Darian McDowell giving it chase.

1:16:12 Oh, he went between the legs. Darian

1:16:15 McDowell, you are ridiculous.

1:16:18 Follows up a double with a sweet trick

1:16:21 play.

1:16:22 >> It's the third manscape of the game.

1:16:25 I mean, what? What's that has to be the

1:16:28 first time this has ever happened in

1:16:29 this sport. Three of these and we're

1:16:31 still in the fourth inning.

1:16:32 >> That guy has just shown his worth so

1:16:36 much in right field.

1:16:39 You can see why

1:16:42 he was a sixth round draft pick at San

1:16:44 Diego Padres.

1:16:46 And you can see this one high into the

1:16:48 sky. Lamar Sparks, do you have something

1:16:50 special? No, you don't, but he had to

1:16:52 run a mile to get there, and that's

1:16:54 special in and of its own right. Ben

1:16:56 Parker retired it quickly. They're two

1:16:58 away.

1:16:59 >> Covered a lot of ground. The spark plug

1:17:01 able to get underneath it. After the

1:17:03 two-run first for the Coconuts with

1:17:05 runners on first and third, really since

1:17:08 it's been nothing but Firefighters

1:17:10 defensively.

1:17:12 Logan Lacey, what an effort! He got him!

1:17:15 Showtime!

1:17:17 That's why they call him the hot corner,

1:17:19 and that's why he's called Showtime.

1:17:21 >> Gideon Angel will make his arrangements

1:17:23 with John Crosser. It won't matter.

1:17:26 Double L!

1:17:28 Fire me up, Showtime! How?

1:17:31 Might be harder than a trick play in and

1:17:33 of its own right. He got him. There's no

1:17:36 challenge needed.

1:17:38 He's trying to say the foot's off the

1:17:40 bag, Gideon.

1:17:42 I'm sorry.

1:17:43 You're out.

1:17:46 Oh, it's Hey Baby time.

1:17:48 And put your hands in the air because

1:17:51 right now it's time for a little Hey

1:17:54 Baby!

1:18:04 You better be clapping those hands.

1:18:06 >> Oh my god.

1:18:07 >> That can't be I I my eyes have to be

1:18:08 deceiving me.

1:18:09 >> folks.

1:18:10 Both of Beaver is on top of the video

1:18:13 board.

1:18:15 >> Oh my god.

1:18:16 >> What in the world?

1:18:18 >> He saw how crazy we get during Hey Baby,

1:18:21 and then I

1:18:21 >> the wind blowing?

1:18:23 >> Please be careful up there, Bo. Don't do

1:18:26 anything that I wouldn't do.

1:18:27 >> Why would you do this?

1:18:30 Can somebody make [music] sure his

1:18:31 insurance policy is updated? Why are we

1:18:33 showing Zach still? Let's There's a

1:18:35 beaver atop the scoreboard.

1:18:38 >> Well, Zach Phillips has a cool way to

1:18:40 that I Please don't try that at home.

1:18:42 Not that you have a video board at home.

1:18:44 But, if you did,

1:18:45 >> [music]

1:18:46 >> I wouldn't recommend doing what Bo's

1:18:47 doing. Cuz he is the only person I trust

1:18:50 up there.

1:18:51 >> [music]

1:18:52 >> Him and Grandma Swiatek or Pasta Fazool

1:18:54 could hang up there.

1:18:57 >> That video board

1:18:58 >> [music]

1:18:59 >> is

1:19:00 miles in the air, feels like.

1:19:03 Who's poking their head up there?

1:19:06 Oh, that's

1:19:07 Somebody's from the Wind Surge making

1:19:09 absolutely sure that Bo is going to

1:19:11 fall.

1:19:12 >> [music]

1:19:13 >> I

1:19:15 I'll give him this. Bo, yes, he's

1:19:17 nature's firefighter. He also might be

1:19:19 nature's daredevil.

1:19:21 >> [music]

1:19:23 >> He is legitimately

1:19:24 a good I mean, what? A good 40 ft, 50 ft

1:19:27 in the air?

1:19:30 He is holding that post for dear [music]

1:19:31 life. I'm getting the heebie-jeebies

1:19:33 just looking at him. My knees are weak.

1:19:37 >> I'm offended. I thought we were the

1:19:39 craziest Hey Beavers.

1:19:40 >> No.

1:19:41 >> Bo just did you one better.

1:19:43 >> I'm legitimately concerned for him right

1:19:45 now.

1:19:48 >> He's a professional.

1:19:48 >> He's staying up there.

1:19:51 Noah Bridges is about to

1:19:54 bat,

1:19:55 and Bo has not

1:19:57 one moment looked like he's about to get

1:19:58 down.

1:20:03 I I can't even look at him.

1:20:10 Mayhem,

1:20:11 chaos,

1:20:12 might all be Bo the Beaver's middle

1:20:14 name. Well, actually, let me take that

1:20:15 back. The is one of his middle names.

1:20:18 Bo the Chaos Beaver, Bo the Mayhem

1:20:20 Beaver.

1:20:21 Might be one of those two middle name

1:20:23 situations.

1:20:24 Zandy Archer goes back-to-back outside

1:20:26 to make it a two-two count.

1:20:28 So, to recap,

1:20:30 Coconut gets two in the thanks to Dane

1:20:32 Tofflin.

1:20:34 Jake P strikes out Grady Morgan with

1:20:36 Jared Donaldson. Then the Firefighters

1:20:38 get one back thanks to [music] South

1:20:40 Trimble and Darian McDowell. And now

1:20:41 Andy Archer starts out the inning with

1:20:43 another strikeout.

1:20:45 Kaden Green.

1:20:58 >> [music]

1:21:08 [music]

1:21:35 [music]

1:21:42 [music]

1:21:49 [music]

1:21:57 >> I've created a monster cuz nobody wants

1:21:59 to see Kaden no more. They want peanut

1:22:01 each other liver. Well, if you want

1:22:02 peanut, this is what he'll give you. A

1:22:04 little bit of him mixed with some hot

1:22:05 and some trick plays. That will jump

1:22:07 start my heart quicker. Oh my goodness.

1:22:09 Oh.

1:22:10 >> [screaming]

1:22:13 >> He cut off the rap he'd been working on

1:22:15 because Grady Morgan just put together a

1:22:18 wet gem. How do you do? A moment spoiler

1:22:23 from G Morgan left and And

1:22:25 you he's the baddest man in the

1:22:28 outfield, running face first into the

1:22:30 wall. He don't care anything for the

1:22:32 team and anything for the beach.

1:22:35 >> That was a 339-ft

1:22:38 flyout.

1:22:40 >> He could not have struck that much

1:22:41 better.

1:22:43 >> Do you want to finish the rap because it

1:22:44 was good?

1:22:45 >> we'll we'll wait for Peanuts next. We'll

1:22:47 wait for his next at bat.

1:22:48 >> What a moment.

1:22:49 >> I was flowing, too. That's probably the

1:22:51 best I've started.

1:22:52 >> I know, I've been listening to it all

1:22:53 day. That was by far the best.

1:22:55 >> It sounded

1:22:56 >> Dalton Cornett has looked at three

1:22:58 straight and all three were bad.

1:23:01 Both the Beavers now sitting on top of

1:23:03 the video board.

1:23:05 I don't know if that's supposed to be

1:23:06 safer.

1:23:08 The The person who has been checking on

1:23:09 his safety has moved.

1:23:12 Archer 3-1, make it 4-1 and make it a

1:23:14 ball four sprint while you do so.

1:23:17 Again, all seven fielders behind the

1:23:18 pitcher must touch that beautiful yellow

1:23:20 banana ball before they can tag the

1:23:22 runner out. And Dalton Cornett will stay

1:23:24 right at first, so a freebie for DC3.

1:23:27 >> Jack, I'm sorry. I'm still stuck on

1:23:29 There is so much stuff going on. We got

1:23:31 >> We've been banana balled. The guy's

1:23:32 back.

1:23:35 >> But I mean, in the words of Tate McRae,

1:23:37 is it not clear that Grady Morgan loves

1:23:39 this game like a psycho? He just ran

1:23:42 full speed into the wall to make that

1:23:44 play. There are not many people with the

1:23:46 mental fortitude to do that. That's one

1:23:48 of the plays of the year.

1:23:49 >> He ruined my song.

1:23:50 >> He did.

1:23:51 He had other plans, clearly.

1:23:53 He said, "I've had enough of this Zach

1:23:55 guy singing."

1:23:56 >> 1-0 Lacy, slow dribbler over to his

1:23:59 counterpart at third, over to first and

1:24:01 a great dig out there from Jordan

1:24:03 Brewer.

1:24:04 >> He is so reminiscent of Bryce Harper at

1:24:06 first base. Sometimes I close my eyes

1:24:08 and just forget who's over there.

1:24:11 Lefty glove just able to scoop it right

1:24:13 off and make it look easy at that, too.

1:24:16 You know what started in Wichita?

1:24:19 Pizza Hut!

1:24:22 >> If you did not know, Pizza Hut was

1:24:24 actually a sponsor established here in

1:24:26 Wichita. That's a fun fact in case you

1:24:28 did not know. So, we like to play a game

1:24:30 that we like to call Pizza

1:24:33 Hut.

1:24:34 If you've seen an Oklahoma drill, you'll

1:24:37 see how this is going to go. We have mom

1:24:39 right here and 6-year-old Remy. All

1:24:41 right, mom, I want you to lay down with

1:24:44 your head toward Yep, right there.

1:24:46 Now, when I say Pizza Hut, you're going

1:24:48 to get up and they're just going to meet

1:24:50 in the middle. Well, we didn't really

1:24:52 practice this. We're going to see how it

1:24:53 goes.

1:24:55 On your mark, get set, Pizza Hut!

1:25:00 Here we go.

1:25:02 Oh, Remy's scared. Oh, no.

1:25:08 Just laid out. I don't know if that's a

1:25:10 Pizza Hut or an Oklahoma drill. We're

1:25:12 not in Tulsa, we're in Wichita.

1:25:14 He took down the pizza like a hut. Oh,

1:25:17 that's good. That's good stuff.

1:25:21 With the coconuts going batter up. Look

1:25:23 at this.

1:25:24 Is this like is this the kid's mom? I

1:25:27 really hope so. This is kind of like

1:25:29 crazy.

1:25:32 We're doing Oklahoma drills in Wichita.

1:25:35 Bobby Beaver is still atop the video

1:25:37 board.

1:25:38 He's had ample opportunity to get down.

1:25:39 At this point, I don't know that he

1:25:41 will.

1:25:45 I think he's being told by somebody from

1:25:47 the wing search.

1:25:49 Something. Cuz that guy poked his head

1:25:51 out.

1:25:52 And he fell down.

1:25:56 I still can't look up there. Like, my

1:25:58 anxiety is crawling. Eric Asberg, deep

1:26:01 to right field, foul.

1:26:04 He thought he finally had himself his

1:26:06 second hit of the

1:26:07 of the weekend.

1:26:09 He doesn't.

1:26:10 Tried to take it pull side. That's where

1:26:11 Eric Asberg is at his best when he's

1:26:13 showing off that pull professional pop.

1:26:17 I I

1:26:22 There it is. Eric Osberg, line drive

1:26:24 right center field. After missing the

1:26:26 last one by a half inch, he gets his

1:26:28 second hit of the weekend with some nice

1:26:30 sizzle behind it off of Donny.

1:26:42 >> That's spine buster. That's not a

1:26:44 tackle.

1:26:46 That's a spine buster.

1:26:48 >> Armani Henderson takes over for Osberg

1:26:50 on the bases. So, the extra hitter did

1:26:52 his job getting aboard.

1:26:54 >> Pinch hit Tony was

1:26:57 pinch hit for in the first

1:26:59 with Katon Bowler on a surfboard. So,

1:27:01 now he can finally get to come back up

1:27:02 and take his cuts.

1:27:04 >> Drake Fontenot's coaching first base for

1:27:06 the CocoaNuts, too, by the way.

1:27:10 >> [music]

1:27:12 >> One on the outside finally goes.

1:27:19 Something is happening to uh CJ

1:27:22 from Mikey Spandex [music] on the

1:27:23 sidelines. It appears as he's getting

1:27:25 sunscreened out of his mind.

1:27:29 It'd be funnier if that was paste as

1:27:31 Donny gets two two by him.

1:27:34 >> If it were what?

1:27:34 >> Paste. Glue.

1:27:37 It'd be funny. It just would be.

1:27:39 >> Tony thought about it. Where are you

1:27:42 from?

1:27:43 Cuz I think in the other 49 states

1:27:45 getting covered in Elmer's glue isn't

1:27:47 very funny.

1:27:48 >> 3-2 count.

1:27:50 It'd be funny for me to watch someone

1:27:52 else do it.

1:27:52 >> Yes. Ball four spray on the table.

1:27:55 Oh, it's a backwards K for Donny.

1:28:00 Tony had jumped out of the box like he

1:28:02 had just been sent to first and said

1:28:04 he'll be sent back to the dugout. A.J.

1:28:06 >> Survivors ready.

1:28:09 What?

1:28:16 >> I said, "Survivors,

1:28:19 ready."

1:28:29 >> Welcome to Loco Beach Tribal.

1:28:31 >> [music]

1:28:31 >> The largest part of the ball game has

1:28:33 come down tonight. The two young men, we

1:28:35 shall read the votes from Loco Beach

1:28:37 Tribal.

1:28:38 Dalton,

1:28:40 one vote. Dalton Malden, two votes.

1:28:46 Grady Morgan, one vote.

1:28:49 Dalton Malden,

1:28:51 two.

1:28:53 Grady Morgan,

1:28:55 two votes. Lefty Bat.

1:28:58 Dalton Malden,

1:28:59 songbird of our generation,

1:29:02 three.

1:29:04 Grady Morgan, three. Dalton Malden,

1:29:07 three. Dalton Malden's ahead just a

1:29:09 little bit. This is the closest Survivor

1:29:12 in all time.

1:29:15 Grady Morgan, we're still tied.

1:29:18 Four votes, Grady.

1:29:20 Four votes, Dalton.

1:29:22 One vote, Lefty.

1:29:34 >> Four votes, Grady. Four votes, Dalton.

1:29:38 One vote to decide the sole survivor at

1:29:43 Loco Beach. And here comes the urn. Here

1:29:46 comes Mark Kwako. Who will earn the at

1:29:49 bat? Is it Dalton Malden? Is it Grady

1:29:52 Morgan? Who has survived and won Loco

1:29:56 Beach Survivor? Mark Kwako, take it away

1:30:00 and let us know who is the sole survivor

1:30:03 at the beach.

1:30:20 >> Tonight's winner

1:30:23 of the first ever Loco Beach Survivor

1:30:25 and Bat

1:30:27 Brady

1:30:29 Morgan. [screaming]

1:30:32 >> Your sole

1:30:33 survivor,

1:30:33 >> [music]

1:30:34 >> Brady Morgan.

1:30:37 Final vote of 5 to 4.

1:30:40 He has won Loco Beach Survivor and

1:30:43 earned himself an at bat. Welcome to

1:30:47 Banana Ball. The biggest Survivor fan in

1:30:50 the sport. He's watched all 50 seasons

1:30:53 and just barely edged out the songbird

1:30:56 of our generation. And by a vote of his

1:30:59 teammates, Brady Morgan has earned a

1:31:01 chance to get up there swinging. If he

1:31:03 straightens that thing out, it's gone.

1:31:07 Mark Crocco

1:31:09 reading that out.

1:31:12 Might have just made my year.

1:31:14 Morgan, right over the head of Peanut

1:31:16 and into left center field for a base

1:31:18 knock. That's going to roll all the way

1:31:19 to the wall. That might have survived

1:31:21 for a run.

1:31:23 >> [cheering]

1:31:23 >> It will survive for a run. The sole

1:31:26 survivor, Brady Morgan. That's why he

1:31:30 won. That's why he got the fifth vote.

1:31:33 Armani Anderson into score. It's a

1:31:36 double for Brady Morgan, your Loco Beach

1:31:40 sole survivor, lives up to the name. And

1:31:43 Tiki Turbo scores head first.

1:31:46 It's a run for Loco Beach in the fifth.

1:31:49 Sometimes it can't write it up any

1:31:50 better, even in permanent ink on a

1:31:53 Survivor voting slip.

1:31:56 Dalton Malden

1:31:57 swinging over two to make it an 0-2

1:31:59 count. He's got a single against his old

1:32:01 teammate

1:32:02 who was trying to fire right back in it

1:32:04 after giving up his third run of the

1:32:05 game.

1:32:10 >> I'm sorry, Zach. In case you can't tell,

1:32:11 I don't love love love reality TV.

1:32:14 >> I'm I'm yeah, I'm glad for you that the

1:32:16 walk-off you've been looking forward to

1:32:18 for a millennium wasn't ruined by

1:32:20 someone catching it.

1:32:22 >> By Greedy Morgan. He's had the two

1:32:24 biggest moments of this game.

1:32:32 >> Morgan, excuse me. Maulden, excuse me.

1:32:35 Strikeout.

1:32:37 >> [laughter]

1:32:38 >> Oh, man.

1:32:39 We've got such good vibes up here in the

1:32:42 booth tonight, Zach. This has been such

1:32:43 an honor doing this series with you,

1:32:45 seriously.

1:32:45 >> Out of our minds right now. The

1:32:47 pleasure's all mine, my friend. You the

1:32:49 same. Tanner Allen to the skies, which

1:32:51 are

1:32:52 beginning to fill up with these

1:32:55 ominous

1:32:56 clouds.

1:32:58 >> It's making me smile ear to ear seeing

1:32:59 the reception in the YouTube chat. I'm

1:33:01 glad you guys like seeing the sole

1:33:02 survivor at least half as much as me.

1:33:05 >> Sent to the Lord.

1:33:08 Zachary Bridges, you got something? Yes,

1:33:09 you do. It's the third out of the

1:33:11 inning, but not before the Coconuts

1:33:13 score their first run of the inning,

1:33:14 their third run of the game, and the

1:33:16 Firefighters got some work to do in the

1:33:18 bottom half of the fifth if they want to

1:33:19 keep it a 1-1 game or a 2-1 advantage

1:33:22 for them. And Zachary Bridges makes that

1:33:24 one in.

1:33:26 And it's time

1:33:27 to catch a beat. Not a wave, a beat with

1:33:31 a fire line.

1:33:35 lines

1:33:37 >> [cheering]

1:33:37 >> fire line

1:33:38 fire fire fire fire line

1:33:40 all units

1:33:41 all units

1:33:43 all units

1:33:45 all units

1:33:47 There's a situation.

1:33:50 fire line

1:33:51 fire line

1:33:56 fire line

1:33:58 fire line

1:34:58 >> Give it up.

1:35:02 Let's go Dave. What's up?

1:35:06 >> I hope the Firebirds can chase those

1:35:08 clouds [music] away

1:35:10 without any precipitation.

1:35:12 Seems unlikely. The wind is swirling.

1:35:13 >> woah, woah, woah, woah, woah. Who's up

1:35:15 there on the video board?

1:35:18 Oh, I hope it's not on the surfboard.

1:35:20 Cayden Bowler, be careful, man. Bow is a

1:35:23 trained professional.

1:35:24 >> Right you know right back down whoever

1:35:25 that was.

1:35:26 >> hiding. Cayden Bowler was like, "Oh,

1:35:28 they're going to show me. I don't want

1:35:29 to be on there." But, guys, Loco Beach

1:35:31 scoring a run is a great chance for me

1:35:33 to do a couple of things. One,

1:35:35 remind the YouTube chat that myself and

1:35:37 Zach Staten love you and appreciate you

1:35:40 opting to spend your weekend here with

1:35:41 us in Wichita, Kansas. Two, spread love,

1:35:44 spread joy, make one another smile

1:35:46 because you know who's a great

1:35:47 perpetrator of that, dual threat Brett

1:35:49 Carson. One and 0 on the year, always

1:35:52 smiling out there on the hill. Averaging

1:35:54 just over 4 and 1/2 minutes an inning.

1:35:56 He's going to be asked to eat up a

1:35:58 couple here against the Firefighters.

1:36:00 Simple in concept, extremely hard in

1:36:03 execution. If he can keep them off the

1:36:04 board here, it's a point for Loco Beach.

1:36:08 >> Brett Carson has given up 13 hits, 12

1:36:10 runs, 10 of them earned.

1:36:13 He'll have to stay away from the ever

1:36:15 threatening Eric Jones Jr. who lined out

1:36:17 rounded out, excuse me, to Peyton

1:36:18 Shatney.

1:36:20 His first plate appearance in the

1:36:21 second.

1:36:23 Tries to get the off-speed on him. Won't

1:36:24 go.

1:36:25 >> EJ with that beautiful mustache trying

1:36:28 to launch a beautiful swing here.

1:36:31 That'll do it. Fights it off in the

1:36:32 right field for a base knock.

1:36:35 EJ's aboard for the first time tonight.

1:36:38 >> All right, Zach, I'm going to give you

1:36:39 another try at something. Okay.

1:36:41 >> I asked you what the time was earlier.

1:36:43 You got the weather?

1:36:44 >> Get out of the way, it's Chief time!

1:36:47 >> It's Chief o'clock.

1:36:49 >> It's always Chief o'clock in the

1:36:51 firehouse.

1:36:53 Look at that good boy chasing his own

1:36:54 plushy. He ain't pain, he's just got

1:36:57 himself in his mouth.

1:37:00 >> Lamar Sparks now.

1:37:01 >> Trey Hunt just squared up like he was

1:37:03 about to call a strike.

1:37:04 >> My weather app's saying it's 110° sunny

1:37:07 and a chance of Chief.

1:37:09 >> I'm not sure Chief would survive in that

1:37:11 climate at 110°.

1:37:13 Not sure many dogs could. And I'm not

1:37:15 sure

1:37:16 that Brett's going to survive this

1:37:17 inning much longer. [screaming] Lamar

1:37:20 Sparks!

1:37:24 I believe Brett Carson was not aware of

1:37:26 the Sparks notes. Lamar will crush it!

1:37:31 His fourth homer of the year and it's a

1:37:33 walk-off inning winner. And let's say

1:37:36 hello again

1:37:38 to Chief!

1:37:40 >> [cheering]

1:37:40 >> Run it on, home [screaming] boy!

1:37:45 Lamar Sparks!

1:37:49 That dude is incredible and Sam Bowman

1:37:53 is about to chat with him.

1:37:56 >> Lamarr, the spark we needed here was

1:37:58 more exciting. The big hitter sharing it

1:38:00 with Chief.

1:38:01 >> Sharing it with Chief, absolutely.

1:38:02 >> Big hit for Lamarr Sparks. Firefighters

1:38:04 back in this one. Don't go anywhere.

1:38:08 >> From that beautiful winner to our

1:38:10 Firefighter of the Night.

1:38:18 >> Ladies and gentlemen,

1:38:20 please welcome to the building our

1:38:22 Firefighter of the Night, Captain Lance

1:38:25 Diffenbaugh.

1:38:29 Lance is currently serving on the

1:38:31 specialized rescue team, an elite squad

1:38:33 that responds to complex emergencies,

1:38:36 including confined spaces, structural

1:38:38 collapses, and water and ice rescues,

1:38:41 while also cross-training to support

1:38:43 hazardous materials incidents.

1:38:45 Captain Diffenbaugh comes from a proud

1:38:47 family tradition in the fire service,

1:38:49 alongside his brother, his nephew, and

1:38:53 his son.

1:38:54 This deep-rooted connection to the job

1:38:56 fuels his passion for service and

1:38:59 responsibility both on and off the job.

1:39:02 Above all, he is a devoted husband and

1:39:04 father of four, balancing the demands of

1:39:07 his career with a strong commitment to

1:39:09 his family. His leadership, integrity,

1:39:12 and dedication make him a trusted member

1:39:15 within the department and the community,

1:39:17 where he has served in the Wichita Fire

1:39:19 Department for 36

1:39:22 years.

1:39:23 >> [cheering]

1:39:24 >> Fans, please join us in celebrating our

1:39:26 Firefighter of the Night, Captain Lance

1:39:29 Diffenbaugh.

1:39:31 >> [cheering]

1:39:38 >> I was told that this man has the

1:39:39 nickname Firecracker. Chief Diffenbaugh,

1:39:42 36 years of service in this wonderful

1:39:45 community. A salute to him and all of

1:39:47 our great firefighters. Again, had the

1:39:49 absolute pleasure to visit with a couple

1:39:51 of them at station two this morning with

1:39:53 Marshall Shill, Jared Donaldson, Val

1:39:55 Perez, and Chief.

1:39:57 They were fantastic, great hosts. That

1:39:59 station, by the way, is the busiest in

1:40:02 this community. They get more calls at

1:40:03 that station than anywhere else. It is

1:40:06 one of the bigger stations, of course,

1:40:08 in the community and they were so

1:40:10 welcoming to us today and it was awesome

1:40:13 to get Jake Parsons, son of B.J., who's

1:40:16 been a firefighter for 25 years,

1:40:19 from station two, to sit in with us and

1:40:21 call the game

1:40:22 even for just a few moments. Even if

1:40:24 that young man didn't know exactly what

1:40:25 to say,

1:40:26 he said it all, especially with the

1:40:28 strikeout call. Hey, there's Blake

1:40:30 Morgan.

1:40:31 An upside down visor for that lovely

1:40:33 lefty.

1:40:34 Started to get his things back in order

1:40:36 a little bit after a little bit of a

1:40:38 rough start

1:40:39 to his baseball career and he's throwing

1:40:41 to his old college teammate, Zachary

1:40:42 Bridges. That just has to feel good and

1:40:44 by the way, the guy in center field is

1:40:46 another old college teammate, Noah

1:40:47 Bridges at UNC Wilmington. So, just

1:40:49 we're just connecting all across the

1:40:52 place today. Blake Morgan's also the

1:40:54 only player on this Firefighters team

1:40:56 with children.

1:40:57 That's correct.

1:40:58 >> Well, Val Perez, but not a player.

1:41:00 >> the only player.

1:41:01 >> Correct. Correct.

1:41:01 >> And I'll take it a step further and say

1:41:03 that typically after you have kids,

1:41:05 again, I haven't, so this is just what I

1:41:07 think.

1:41:07 >> this from experience?

1:41:09 >> Certainly not, but I feel like it

1:41:11 typically comes with a little bit of

1:41:13 jabronis and wherewithal. If you know

1:41:15 what? I'm a leader. I understand what's

1:41:17 being asked of me and Blake Morgan's

1:41:19 looked comfortable this season on the

1:41:20 hill. He's got a Firefighters tattoo.

1:41:22 He's a left-handed pitcher that follows

1:41:24 up a righty, Zach, and he's got to deal

1:41:26 with the toughest part of the order

1:41:27 starting with Dane Tofflemire. Over his

1:41:29 last month, he's gone three and a third,

1:41:30 has earned seven points, has lost none,

1:41:33 but he's on the verge of losing Dane

1:41:35 Tofflemire.

1:41:37 3-0 count. [music] Again, these clouds

1:41:39 are becoming ominous. We've ticked under

1:41:41 an hour. That would be the mark for an

1:41:42 official game.

1:41:45 There's the first strike of the evening

1:41:47 for Bimo, who really focuses on throwing

1:41:49 the hard stuff. You'll notice he goes

1:41:51 quick and he throws with incredible

1:41:53 intensity.

1:41:58 High ball four. So, here's a ball four

1:42:00 sprint. Bimo a little bit late of a

1:42:01 break trying to get to that one, but big

1:42:03 timber living up to his name. Puts the

1:42:05 big brakes on at first.

1:42:07 >> Yeah, safe to say we're playing witness

1:42:08 to this week's player of the week here

1:42:10 in Wichita.

1:42:11 >> You think?

1:42:11 >> Dane Tauchlin is unstoppable. A movable

1:42:14 object, a unstoppable force, however you

1:42:16 want to metaphor wax poetically. No,

1:42:19 there is one word to describe Dane

1:42:21 Tauchlin.

1:42:22 Unstoppable.

1:42:24 Nothing has stopped Dane. Nothing can

1:42:26 get in his way and it continues. Lead

1:42:28 off man on, Armani takes over on the

1:42:29 bases as the designated runner. Jordan

1:42:31 Brewer follows it right up with a slash

1:42:33 to right. That one rattles around in the

1:42:35 corner. Armani Henderson rounding third.

1:42:38 He's being signaled to stop there and to

1:42:40 stand up double for Jordan Brewer. They

1:42:42 get a pair in scoring position with

1:42:44 nobody away to kick off the sixth.

1:42:47 >> That was a wise decision, too, from

1:42:49 Procco to put up the hand and call for a

1:42:51 halting cuz Darian McDowell had that one

1:42:53 to Mason Maxwell before Armani could

1:42:55 have even gotten to third base.

1:42:57 Darian's got a cannon. We've got a

1:42:59 couple of right fielders this weekend

1:43:01 between Darian and Gideon and Antle

1:43:03 who've just

1:43:05 just unloaded some vicious throws from

1:43:07 right field.

1:43:08 >> Talk about unloading. That was an A

1:43:10 swing from Ashby Bynum. He's up there

1:43:11 swinging for the fences as he typically

1:43:13 is.

1:43:13 >> A great A swing with Loco Beach.

1:43:15 >> Great A swing.

1:43:16 >> Good. That definitely in this catching

1:43:18 room, for sure.

1:43:20 >> But, he's a guy who more than anyone on

1:43:21 this team likes to swing early in

1:43:23 counts. You see it right there.

1:43:26 >> Bimo, really good stuff. Head on a

1:43:28 swivel to make sure Armani doesn't go

1:43:30 from third base. No trick play there,

1:43:32 but it is an out.

1:43:33 >> Ah, I get it now. He's got eyes on the

1:43:34 back of his head. That's why he's

1:43:36 wearing a backward visor.

1:43:37 >> Good.

1:43:38 >> Makes sense. And the sunglasses back

1:43:40 there, too, cuz it certainly can't be a

1:43:41 fashion statement, right?

1:43:43 >> For Bimo, you never know.

1:43:44 >> True. True. A personality and a half.

1:43:49 >> No, wait. I I apologize. There was a

1:43:51 trick play there.

1:43:53 What's going on?

1:43:55 I'm still zoomed in on uh

1:43:58 whatever happened there with Lamar

1:44:00 Sparks, which what happened there was a

1:44:01 beautiful

1:44:02 home run. Ben Parker down the line,

1:44:05 foul. There have been a couple down that

1:44:08 left field line this weekend that have

1:44:10 looked awful good from our vantage point

1:44:12 and have just fallen foul.

1:44:14 >> Yeah, and if you look at the flags right

1:44:16 now out in right field, they're whipping

1:44:17 to left. I think if there was no wind,

1:44:19 that's a fair ball, but it started to

1:44:20 tail off, the wind got a hold of it, and

1:44:22 instead it's a long strike two against

1:44:24 Pumps.

1:44:33 >> Somewhere here the Firefighters have

1:44:34 gotten seventh trick play. So, they lead

1:44:36 it seven to four

1:44:38 in the trick play category.

1:44:40 Lead it two to one in the game.

1:44:42 Parker through. Base knock. It might

1:44:45 score two.

1:44:47 Bracco holds Jordan Brewer up.

1:44:49 Bimo cuts it off.

1:44:51 But, that will bring one across to

1:44:52 Armani Henderson, who is about to do

1:44:54 something fun. Run, Armani, run.

1:44:57 I know you want to be where you are. I

1:45:00 want to be where you are.

1:45:02 And so do all your boys in left field.

1:45:05 Get to the team.

1:45:08 And mash like crazy.

1:45:28 Beach to you.

1:45:31 That is the dichotomy of bringing your

1:45:33 infield in.

1:45:36 If

1:45:37 Zoe Trimbles playing his typical native

1:45:39 deep second base spot, he's probably

1:45:40 able to get to that ball. But with a

1:45:42 runner on third, Val Perez has to have

1:45:44 her group play in to make sure they

1:45:46 can't score on a ball to the infield,

1:45:48 and it leads to a Ben Parker RBI single

1:45:50 that has ducks on the corners of the

1:45:52 pond for Gideon Antle.

1:45:54 >> Antle changed the ninth inning with a

1:45:55 three-run blast last night.

1:45:58 Tried to do it again right there.

1:46:00 Instead, it's an 0-2 count after he

1:46:02 swung big time at pitch one. Demo

1:46:06 with runners on the corners.

1:46:10 Swing and a miss. Oh, but it's a free

1:46:12 ball. Bridges back home, and it's safe.

1:46:16 >> [cheering]

1:46:18 >> Ball got away from ZB, and it brings

1:46:20 home a second run of the inning.

1:46:23 >> That was close. I don't think Gideon

1:46:25 Antle was fully aware that the ball got

1:46:27 away. Jordan Brewer nearly made contact

1:46:29 with him there. But it's great heads-up

1:46:30 base running from both Pumps and Brewer

1:46:33 because Parker moved to scoring

1:46:35 position, and Brewer scores like this.

1:46:37 And three men all in one place, but

1:46:39 Antle got to the plate before the tag,

1:46:41 and that's what matters most. It brings

1:46:43 up Eric Gray Day Osberg with two away.

1:46:45 Uh-oh.

1:46:45 >> Val Perez has asked the umpires to talk

1:46:47 about something, wanting to see maybe if

1:46:50 it went off someone's foot, particularly

1:46:51 Gideon Antle's.

1:46:55 If that is the case, the ball would be

1:46:57 dead because it went off of the batter.

1:47:03 It would be considered now that it looks

1:47:04 like Trey Hudson would be telling Jordan

1:47:05 Brewer to go back to third.

1:47:07 >> And Ben Parker back to first.

1:47:11 >> Runners going back to third is the call

1:47:13 from Trey Hudson.

1:47:15 Now.

1:47:19 So, what this

1:47:20 Let's see the replay here.

1:47:22 Antol, did he foul it?

1:47:24 I don't see a foul and it does, it goes

1:47:26 right off his foot. That's a great

1:47:29 That's a great look from Val Perez right

1:47:31 there. Eagle eyed is our fire chief as

1:47:34 Mark Rocco having a conversation with

1:47:35 Trey Hudson.

1:47:39 >> [cheering]

1:47:39 >> But the call has now been confirmed

1:47:42 that the ball did go off of Kade Antol's

1:47:44 foot and you can see it on the on the

1:47:46 replay there. Clearly did. That's a

1:47:47 great call there from Val Perez.

1:47:50 And now it means two outs by the way as

1:47:53 Eric Asberg strides on in. He's got one

1:47:55 hit on the night, his second

1:47:59 of the weekend.

1:48:02 That one brought in a run back in the

1:48:03 fifth. Excuse me.

1:48:08 Like two.

1:48:16 Big swing and miss. Bemo.

1:48:24 Makes it a one two count. Okay.

1:48:26 They showed one two multiple different

1:48:28 places.

1:48:31 All right.

1:48:33 We've got to make sure we get this

1:48:34 right. It's two two. One in the Deuces

1:48:36 are wild. Deuces are very wild. As wild

1:48:38 as they've ever been. Two down, two two

1:48:40 count to Asberg. I saw one two on the

1:48:42 board.

1:48:44 Eric Asberg is seeing beach balls. Sal

1:48:46 Trimble giving it chase. It's going to

1:48:47 land and now Jordan Brewer can come

1:48:49 home. Second hit of the night for the

1:48:52 veteran catcher and yet another run

1:48:54 batted in for Eric Asberg. He elevates

1:48:56 his play with runners on. Two strike

1:48:58 count, he's not scared. And what's going

1:49:01 on now?

1:49:04 >> [cheering]

1:49:08 [applause]

1:49:09 >> Sydney Benitez is what we've got going

1:49:11 on now.

1:49:13 >> [cheering]

1:49:13 >> Got her first hit last week in Las

1:49:15 Vegas.

1:49:18 Coming out to Daddy Yankee's Gasolina. I

1:49:21 would hate to be Blake Morgan right now.

1:49:26 Because Danay Benitez, the first female

1:49:28 player in the history of Loco Beach, is

1:49:31 at the plate with all the moxie and

1:49:33 swagger you could imagine. She's ahead

1:49:35 1-0 in the count.

1:49:41 Benitez

1:49:43 First hit came in game one in Vegas.

1:49:46 Now for her first appearance here

1:49:49 in Wichita.

1:49:52 2-1 count. Back pick. Ausberg's there on

1:49:54 his feet.

1:50:05 >> Bimo trying to find something here. He's

1:50:07 given up two in the frame.

1:50:11 Tight one. Danay didn't like it. Trey

1:50:12 Hudson calls it a strike. It's 2-2.

1:50:14 Again, the deuces are so wild.

1:50:16 >> Especially with 2-2-2 at the plate.

1:50:18 >> As wild as they've ever been.

1:50:22 >> [cheering]

1:50:22 >> Knocked through. Oh! Mason Maxwell

1:50:25 diving. He lost the

1:50:26 >> [screaming]

1:50:27 >> She's in safely! [cheering]

1:50:28 Danay Benitez! Infield single! Her

1:50:32 second hit in as many weekends!

1:50:35 >> [cheering]

1:50:36 >> You are so so hurt.

1:50:40 Putting the body on the line. Benitez is

1:50:43 in head first and safely. It's her

1:50:46 second hit as a coconut.

1:50:49 >> That is as tough a play as you could ask

1:50:51 a first baseman to make, and Mason did a

1:50:53 heck of a job of grabbing it, but then

1:50:55 couldn't keep it in the glove.

1:50:56 >> Oh my gosh, Danay Benitez is must-see

1:50:59 TV.

1:51:02 It's a matter of time before she'd get

1:51:04 things going. The ball's rolling, and

1:51:06 now you do not want to have to face

1:51:08 Danay at any point on the mound.

1:51:13 >> Big swing and miss and now the side is

1:51:15 finally retired on a strike out as Grady

1:51:17 Morgan couldn't catch up to that one

1:51:19 from Beemo, but not before two runs come

1:51:21 across for Loco Beach including a huge

1:51:24 hit from Denae Benitez.

1:51:26 And the Coconuts again have gone up by a

1:51:28 deuce here in an inning.

1:51:31 >> Pair runs for Loco Beach

1:51:33 makes this an opportunity to secure a

1:51:35 point and tie this game in the series

1:51:37 finale. But, there's still plenty of

1:51:40 Banana Ball on the docket. Let's take a

1:51:41 look at what is coming up next

1:51:45 for the Coconuts and company. Loco Beach

1:51:47 going to play the Bananas

1:51:49 >> [cheering]

1:51:49 >> in Savannah at Grayson Stadium and we'll

1:51:52 have you covered on YouTube for all

1:51:53 three games of course, but game two

1:51:56 I know, I know, I have to brace

1:51:57 everyone. This is sad news. We will be

1:52:00 without Pico Scala for game two. It'll

1:52:02 just be myself and Josh Tolewski.

1:52:05 But, that Friday we're on national

1:52:07 television on truTV of course as are all

1:52:09 Bananas games. They're available en

1:52:11 español

1:52:12 on YouTube with Jose Cheito Benitez, but

1:52:15 Zach, the Firefighters have a big series

1:52:17 now. El Paso And how about the story of

1:52:19 it all on this graphic? The first ever

1:52:21 headliner for the Indianapolis Clowns.

1:52:23 >> And take a peek at where it's at in

1:52:25 Indianapolis, Indiana. Drake Toll will

1:52:27 be on the call for you there.

1:52:29 That will be an absolutely wonderful

1:52:31 weekend

1:52:32 as the Clowns for the first time ever

1:52:34 are the headlining team of a Banana Ball

1:52:37 Championship League contest and you're

1:52:39 right

1:52:40 >> AJ, the Firefighters and the Texas

1:52:42 Tailgaters from El Paso, Texas. The

1:52:44 first Firefighter game

1:52:47 in the great state of Texas.

1:52:53 >> 1

1:52:53 2

1:52:54 1

1:52:55 >> Grady Morgan, it looks like he's next to

1:52:57 >> buddy. I'm going to go back up there

1:52:59 right now. Scariest thing in my life.

1:53:01 I'm going back, so

1:53:02 >> So, Caden's going to go back on the

1:53:03 video board. Grady, I have a A I want to

1:53:05 talk about with you.

1:53:06 >> Let's do it. What do you got?

1:53:07 >> Let's start with the play in left field.

1:53:09 Did you realize you were that close to

1:53:10 the wall? Is that love of the game? Is

1:53:12 that putting it all on the line for Loco

1:53:13 Beach or what?

1:53:14 >> I mean,

1:53:15 that's put that's putting it all on the

1:53:17 line. I don't know I don't know what

1:53:18 else what else to do there. I gave it

1:53:20 all I got right there.

1:53:22 >> Brady, you and I talk about Survivor

1:53:24 reality game show television all the

1:53:26 time. Was that a special moment for you

1:53:28 to be able to have that theme of a

1:53:30 walk-up or what?

1:53:31 >> Yeah. No, that was that was awesome.

1:53:32 That was something I've been, you know,

1:53:34 I had actually Dalton's idea, but um,

1:53:36 you know, me and Dalton have

1:53:38 have talked about Survivor. Me and you

1:53:40 have talked about Survivor. It's

1:53:41 something I've been wanting to do and uh

1:53:42 been wanting to do and you know, I'm

1:53:44 glad we were able to do something cool

1:53:45 and it [cheering] it should turn out

1:53:46 really well.

1:53:47 >> Hey, that was cool by Mason, by the way.

1:53:49 That's a single.

1:53:49 >> Hi Brady, it's Zach. I just want to say

1:53:51 hi.

1:53:52 >> What's up?

1:53:53 >> Why did you have to ruin Peanut's

1:53:54 walk-up?

1:53:55 I was flowing. I had a Peanut verse and

1:53:57 everything and you just had to take it

1:53:59 away with a sweep catch. [cheering]

1:54:00 >> I got to I got to have my boys' back

1:54:01 first.

1:54:02 >> I know. I was in flow state though. A.J.

1:54:05 can attest to it.

1:54:06 >> Come on, D-Mac.

1:54:08 >> Payton Shottaney, that's incredible.

1:54:10 >> Bang, baby. Let's go. That's two. Double

1:54:12 play.

1:54:13 >> Double play. Shottaney, Jacobo, and

1:54:16 Brewer. They make it look so routine,

1:54:18 but it's anything but. That's how you

1:54:20 help Brett Carson on the mound now and

1:54:22 out away from a point.

1:54:23 >> was huge huge right there. We needed

1:54:25 that.

1:54:25 >> Survivor 50.

1:54:27 >> Survivor 50, what do you got?

1:54:28 >> Who's winning?

1:54:30 And why?

1:54:31 >> Who do I want to win or who do I think

1:54:33 is going to win?

1:54:34 >> Let's do both. Start with who you want

1:54:35 to win.

1:54:36 >> All righty. Well, my number one guy,

1:54:38 Ozzy Lusth,

1:54:40 went home with an idol in his pocket

1:54:42 yester- uh the other night. I am

1:54:44 absolutely devastated. Um one of my

1:54:46 favorite players of all time.

1:54:48 You know,

1:54:50 it's unfortunate. Um who do I think is

1:54:52 going to win? Unfortunately, I think

1:54:55 Aubrey is going to win.

1:54:56 Um which

1:54:58 I'm not a fan of. Uh there we go. Yep,

1:55:01 that'll play.

1:55:02 >> Double trick play ties things up at

1:55:04 seven a piece. And it's a good point for

1:55:07 Loco Beach. It's a 2-2 ballgame. The

1:55:10 trick plays even at seven. Grady, we may

1:55:12 need you on the mic more often. That was

1:55:14 a fast inning.

1:55:16 >> Oh, no. Do I got to I got to leave

1:55:17 already?

1:55:17 >> Oh, no, no, no. We're still We're

1:55:19 keeping you around at least through the

1:55:21 half inning here. Because Grady, this is

1:55:24 I I mean, this is must beach TV. What's

1:55:26 it like being a part of such an

1:55:28 explosive lineup? Have you ever been a

1:55:30 part of such a star-studded team?

1:55:32 >> You know, I've been on some pretty

1:55:34 pretty heavy lineups over over the

1:55:36 course of my baseball career. This is

1:55:38 This is This is top top two, I would

1:55:41 say.

1:55:42 This is top two. Yeah, we are That's a

1:55:44 hot This is

1:55:48 >> What is Bo the Beaver doing?

1:55:51 Why does he have a child on his

1:55:52 shoulders? Like, okay, we've seen Bo go

1:55:55 to the top of the video board, the top

1:55:57 of the world. We've seen him dive

1:55:58 through a ring of fire. We've seen him

1:56:00 backflip off the ladder. What could be

1:56:02 in store here? What is he doing? He's

1:56:04 had stunt after stunt after stunt. What

1:56:06 is happening? He's got a child on his

1:56:08 shoulders.

1:56:10 This certainly won't end well.

1:56:13 He softly placed him on a mattress.

1:56:15 What?

1:56:17 What What's going on here?

1:56:23 Oh, I get it now. Bo's next stunt is

1:56:27 he's committing kidnapping.

1:56:30 That's a crime.

1:56:33 That kid is underneath a Bo blanket. A

1:56:35 Bo jersey blanket.

1:56:40 AJ, I don't think I've ever seen

1:56:41 anything like that. Grady, have you ever

1:56:43 seen anything like this?

1:56:44 >> Uh, no, I have not. That was That was

1:56:45 pretty clever right there. I like it.

1:56:47 Kidnapping. Love it.

1:56:48 >> That was well done.

1:56:49 Grady, have you ever dove through a ring

1:56:51 of fire like Bo the Beaver?

1:56:52 >> I have not, nor do I plan on it.

1:56:56 >> Grady, it is an absolute pleasure every

1:56:58 time we get to talk. I'm going to ask

1:56:59 you one more question then we've got to

1:57:01 let you go.

1:57:02 >> What you got?

1:57:03 >> You're going to Survivor but there's a

1:57:04 special special rule. You get to bring

1:57:06 one personal item with you. What do you

1:57:08 want to bring?

1:57:09 >> One personal item?

1:57:12 Um

1:57:14 >> Yeah, I put down where that on the app.

1:57:16 Let's

1:57:16 >> Something that's like already on the

1:57:18 show that I could like start with?

1:57:20 >> Hey, it's two to two, right?

1:57:21 >> You can take it wherever you want. Like

1:57:22 me personally, I'm

1:57:24 >> They locked me out.

1:57:25 >> I'm probably bringing something to help

1:57:27 me start a fire cuz I can't do it with

1:57:29 rocks and sticks.

1:57:30 >> They locked me out. They said it was too

1:57:31 dangerous out there.

1:57:33 And so they locked me out.

1:57:35 >> Oh, thanks Kaden Bowler.

1:57:36 >> Um you know, I'm probably Yeah, yeah,

1:57:38 I'm probably starting with land. But I I

1:57:40 would No, actually, I would take a a

1:57:42 spear so I could fish right away.

1:57:44 >> All right.

1:57:45 >> I'm I'm a I'm like Ozzy. I'm like a fish

1:57:47 in the water. I'm I'm going to go

1:57:48 fishing and catch some food

1:57:49 and uh get get the tribe off to a hot

1:57:51 start, you know? So

1:57:53 >> Longtime Californian native Brady

1:57:55 Morgan, also spearfisherman by day.

1:57:58 Thank you so much for joining us, Brady.

1:58:00 Always a pleasure. I'm going to let you

1:58:01 lock in on the field. The Firefighters

1:58:03 just locked in a double trick play.

1:58:05 There's one away at the top of the

1:58:06 seventh.

1:58:06 >> All right, thanks for having me, guys.

1:58:08 >> These up, Brady.

1:58:11 Oh, I was hoping to get a visitor's visa

1:58:13 up from him.

1:58:15 That'd have been fun.

1:58:16 To your right, double trick play by the

1:58:17 way for South Trimble and Mason Maxwell.

1:58:20 While we were in the middle of that,

1:58:20 that was a heck of a discussion all the

1:58:23 way around.

1:58:25 I feel like I came at him a little bit

1:58:26 aggressively on the peanut thing.

1:58:28 Brady, if you're listening, I wasn't

1:58:29 trying to do that. Oh, a backwards came

1:58:31 for Baby G.

1:58:33 Just froze up Tanner Allen.

1:58:36 >> But now he has to face his kryptonite.

1:58:38 Jovan Rey has struggled mightily against

1:58:41 Dane Tomlin this season as have most

1:58:43 pitchers in this league. But Tomlin

1:58:46 has just had Rey's number all year long.

1:58:48 Let's see if he can do it again.

1:58:50 >> He's drawn back-to-back ball four

1:58:52 sprints after an early two-run homer.

1:58:55 You would expect that maybe Javan

1:58:57 concentrates on a little more speed.

1:59:00 He left a curveball hanging to Dane on

1:59:02 Thursday night and that was it and that

1:59:03 was all. Dane trying to do it there

1:59:05 wouldn't go. Javan's been excellent this

1:59:07 year with that curveball, but when he

1:59:09 goes to the high heat, boy, it's awfully

1:59:11 enticing. [music]

1:59:14 By the way, didn't even give up a point

1:59:16 off that homer.

1:59:17 So, he's still got confidence. Oh,

1:59:19 it was a foul ball. Zachary Bridge has

1:59:22 got up like he had just struck him out.

1:59:27 But, it's still 0-2, so yeah, I'm good

1:59:28 with that.

1:59:30 Want to be clear, there's only one out,

1:59:31 by the way. Yep, there is only one out.

1:59:40 No, there's two outs.

1:59:44 Yes, there are two outs. There are two

1:59:45 outs.

1:59:47 There was a double trick play from South

1:59:49 and Mason. I know you guys were talking

1:59:50 about survivor, so you were plus.

1:59:52 >> [laughter]

1:59:53 >> Wires might have been touching.

1:59:54 >> trying to get away with one there.

1:59:55 >> And then

1:59:56 he got away with it. There's only one

1:59:58 out. Come on. There's only one.

1:59:59 [cheering]

1:59:59 >> Well done, AJ.

2:00:01 A 22-year-old brain works in mysterious

2:00:04 ways. The 0-2, man, Dane just continues

2:00:06 to fight him off.

2:00:08 Short work for

2:00:09 >> trying to pull a fast one here, though.

2:00:10 It is a 1-2 count.

2:00:11 >> It is a 1-2 count. There are two away.

2:00:14 I was plused a little earlier. I thought

2:00:16 [ __ ] struck somebody out on a 1-1 count,

2:00:17 so we've given it right back.

2:00:19 The 1-2.

2:00:25 Man, he just keeps trying to work that

2:00:27 high heat, inside heat, and it won't go.

2:00:30 Kaden Bowler on a surfboard.

2:00:32 Cool.

2:00:33 >> [cheering]

2:00:37 >> Dane Toplin has had a heck of a series.

2:00:39 Javan Reid trying to get back after him.

2:00:42 He has been unafraid to attack him.

2:00:44 Boy, it just won't stop.

2:00:47 >> [laughter]

2:00:48 >> He'd be a little bit

2:00:50 mad at himself if he'd have caught that

2:00:52 one in the glove. And it was right off

2:00:53 the tip. He does that, it's a foul tip

2:00:54 in the glove, it's strike three, see you

2:00:56 later.

2:00:57 On a guy who doesn't strike out a ton.

2:01:01 We'll do the one-two again.

2:01:04 Jovan trying to get him to chase. That's

2:01:06 a good pitch right there. Really good

2:01:07 pitch.

2:01:14 >> This is a

2:01:17 Double-digit pitches in this at bat and

2:01:18 it's full.

2:01:20 >> Dane Tallen has struck out 11 times

2:01:22 coming into tonight.

2:01:24 Make it 12! Jovan Ray!

2:01:29 Big-time response after Thursday night.

2:01:33 Huge clean inning for the Firefighters

2:01:36 as we hit neon

2:01:38 in the stadium.

2:01:40 Baby G

2:01:43 having fun.

2:01:45 We play banana ball.

2:01:47 You know what's going on tonight,

2:01:49 tonight, tonight.

2:01:52 Huge confidence-boosting inning for

2:01:54 Jovan Ray.

2:01:56 Look at Dane Tallen, just a nod of

2:01:59 you got me on that one.

2:02:01 >> [cheering]

2:02:03 >> That's big for Jovan Ray, especially

2:02:05 with the way he's struggled against

2:02:06 these Coconut in 2026.

2:02:10 >> So,

2:02:11 as we take a look at things jumping

2:02:12 around here with neon and people going

2:02:14 crazy and

2:02:15 >> Look at the golden batter opportunities

2:02:16 here at the Banana Ball Championship

2:02:18 League. No one's done it more than the

2:02:19 Loco Beach Coconuts, 14 of them.

2:02:21 >> [cheering]

2:02:22 >> The Firefighters have only used the most

2:02:24 unique rule in sports six times. Loco

2:02:26 Beach has [cheering] done it more than

2:02:27 anybody in their first season. Coach

2:02:30 Crocco looks anything but because he's

2:02:32 made it look like a veteran move. He is

2:02:35 not going to leave with the golden

2:02:36 batter in his pocket nearly ever and

2:02:38 it's worked in favor of the beach.

2:02:40 >> And the Loco Beach Coconuts have played

2:02:42 a lot of close games and that golden at

2:02:44 bat becomes even bigger in those moments

2:02:47 where you have to have it

2:02:49 in order to be able to do something

2:02:50 special. And speaking of something

2:02:52 special, smoke!

2:02:58 >> [music]

2:03:15 [music]

2:03:22 [music]

2:03:47 [music]

2:03:54 [music]

2:04:00 [music]

2:04:04 >> That's the first time I've ever done the

2:04:06 walk-up dance here in the booth.

2:04:09 Perhaps you might see a little bit of

2:04:10 that later in social media.

2:04:13 I tried to do a peanut verse a little

2:04:14 bit earlier, didn't work.

2:04:17 Thanks, Grady.

2:04:19 I hope he knows I'm not actually mad at

2:04:21 him. Well, okay, I'm kind of I'm not

2:04:23 thrilled with him.

2:04:24 But I get why he did what he had to do.

2:04:26 >> South Trimble is the owner of a walk-off

2:04:28 today.

2:04:28 >> Uh-oh, hello.

2:04:29 >> There's a spike ball behind the mound.

2:04:31 >> What's happening?

2:04:31 >> And now it's on the mound.

2:04:33 >> We've been added ball out of our minds

2:04:34 from a walk-up

2:04:35 to a special pitch.

2:04:40 Keegan James

2:04:42 Oh, he just missed outside. That's fun.

2:04:44 I like that. That's the beach. What are

2:04:46 we calling that?

2:04:48 Spikeball pitch.

2:04:50 Spikeball just got spiked into the

2:04:51 ground.

2:04:55 Oh, baby.

2:04:57 That's banana ball, AJ.

2:05:00 And spikeball.

2:05:02 Good.

2:05:03 We could

2:05:04 get you a team that can do both.

2:05:09 That's part of a song. 2-1

2:05:11 Southey

2:05:13 Sit northy, way northy.

2:05:16 Gideon Antal chasing. Goodness gracious,

2:05:18 Gideon.

2:05:20 Putting life body and limb on the line

2:05:23 into the netting trying to pull an

2:05:25 Indiana Stanley.

2:05:27 >> These local beach outfielders are

2:05:28 running with their hair on fire. Gideon

2:05:30 Antal looking like a Tasmanian devil,

2:05:33 putting it all on the line, can't bring

2:05:34 it in.

2:05:36 And it's just a long strike to make it a

2:05:37 deuce-deuce count.

2:05:39 >> Keegan went an inning and a third

2:05:41 Thursday night.

2:05:43 7 minutes, 8 seconds in PI, gave up four

2:05:46 runs.

2:05:48 Southey stays alive.

2:05:50 Not one of them, however, was earned.

2:05:53 Just one hit

2:05:55 and a couple of ball four sprints

2:05:56 against him.

2:05:58 >> Honestly had to feel for Keegan James on

2:06:00 Thursday night. He had his good stuff.

2:06:01 His defense has made a couple errors.

2:06:05 Southey stays alive.

2:06:07 Longtime Colorado Rockies farmhand has

2:06:09 really settled in nicely as the seasons

2:06:11 rolled forward. No earned runs across

2:06:13 his last six appearances now.

2:06:15 >> Smoked last weekend going back home to

2:06:17 Virginia. Of course, the Virginia Beach

2:06:19 native played his college ball at George

2:06:20 Mason University.

2:06:23 Southey

2:06:24 Put another hit on the books.

2:06:26 His second single of the night in his

2:06:28 first start at second base. Got off to a

2:06:30 rocky start in the field. Boy, it's been

2:06:32 anything but at the dish. He's

2:06:35 back-to-back singles.

2:06:36 >> He's more than made up for it at the

2:06:37 plate.

2:06:38 >> South Trimble, a couple of trick plays

2:06:40 missed, but now a couple of base knocks.

2:06:42 That's the inning-winning run aboard,

2:06:43 nobody away. Here comes the 10-hole bat,

2:06:45 Noah Bridges, hitting .237 this season.

2:06:48 >> Noah had an absolute rocket over to

2:06:50 Jordan Brewer that just glanced off of

2:06:52 his glove and into the outfield for a

2:06:54 base knock. [music] Talked to Jordan

2:06:55 about that earlier. He's like, "That was

2:06:57 the first time I thought,

2:06:58 'Okay, what's going on?'

2:06:59 >> in the ninth inning. At that point, it

2:07:01 made it 10 to [music] 8 off an RBI

2:07:02 single.

2:07:04 And the Firefighters had

2:07:06 the top of the order coming up. Yeah,

2:07:08 lead-off and Dalton Cornett coming.

2:07:11 CJ Williams shut it down right after

2:07:14 that. So, Jordan Brewer's potential

2:07:16 worries were relaxed.

2:07:19 It's a 9-7 trick play advantage for the

2:07:21 Fire and Flames. This is really the

2:07:22 first time they have put this level of

2:07:24 pressure on the visiting Nuts this

2:07:26 weekend.

2:07:27 And if they can get out of this inning

2:07:29 in relative a quick fashion, it might be

2:07:31 tough. Cayden Bowler trying to blind us

2:07:32 with the headlights on the hoverboard.

2:07:35 He's also

2:07:37 Never mind. South going for second.

2:07:39 That's not even close.

2:07:41 Cuz it's a ball four sprint. That's why

2:07:42 it's not close. Val Perez giving him the

2:07:43 wave around. Val Perez is going to get

2:07:46 him home. [screaming] Noah Bridges

2:07:48 walk-off two-base ball four sprint.

2:07:53 >> [cheering]

2:07:53 >> Paddy running from smoke.

2:07:56 And that was a quick inning for the

2:07:58 Firefighters.

2:08:00 Oh, South has a blindfold on.

2:08:03 Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Have you

2:08:06 seen this, AJ?

2:08:08 You're blindfolded and you're trying to

2:08:09 get out of the picture of the person

2:08:11 who's blindfolded.

2:08:13 Brian Trappani almost pants smoke.

2:08:15 Bradford Webb has the legs [music] of

2:08:17 Marshall Shue in the air.

2:08:22 I cannot wait to see what photos that

2:08:24 just produced.

2:08:25 >> Yeah, I'm a little confused by that.

2:08:27 >> There's no confusion. The guy who's

2:08:29 blindfolded is turning around trying to

2:08:31 get a picture of you and your whole

2:08:33 point is to get out of the picture, but

2:08:35 you can't leave [music] the circle.

2:08:37 >> Oh, cool.

2:08:38 >> Let's look at the trick plays tonight.

2:08:40 >> So far 9 to 7 in favor of the

2:08:42 Firefighters. Started quickly with a

2:08:44 trick play into a double play around the

2:08:46 horn, but then we got Manscape heavy.

2:08:48 One from getting an antel, Jordan Brewer

2:08:51 went between the legs on a throw to Andy

2:08:52 Archer.

2:08:54 >> And it's really been between the legs.

2:08:56 It's been that kind of night. 16 total

2:08:57 trick plays between these two teams.

2:08:59 Lots of action between the legs. There's

2:09:01 Brewer's Manscape. And right now it is a

2:09:03 two trick play advantage for the

2:09:06 Firefighters. There's one inning left in

2:09:08 terms of the equalizer [cheering] point.

2:09:09 Firefighters going to take the field

2:09:11 first. They can really give themselves a

2:09:14 cushion before Loco Beach will have to

2:09:16 play from behind in the eighth to try to

2:09:17 get their third straight equalizer point

2:09:19 of the series.

2:09:20 >> Zack Phillips is the new pitcher on the

2:09:21 mound for the Firefighters as well. Last

2:09:23 night back to back innings for the first

2:09:25 time this year where he went completely

2:09:27 scoreless. He came up to me afterwards

2:09:29 A.J. after the game and he goes

2:09:31 "Finally, man. I got one."

2:09:33 Now we see if we can do it again.

2:09:36 Arkansas native.

2:09:38 Thank you for moving my phone, A.J. I'm

2:09:39 right in the middle of this slat here.

2:09:41 He's gotten 14 and a third in his first

2:09:42 World Tour with the Firefighters after a

2:09:44 trio of them bad boys in that team in

2:09:47 yellow.

2:09:49 Giving up 27 hits, 15 K's. Started

2:09:52 really well. Minute 27 second inning

2:09:55 against the Savannah Bananas in Grayson

2:09:56 Stadium. [music] Has had some rocky

2:09:58 roads with some bad defense behind him

2:10:00 at times.

2:10:02 But tonight he's got a real chance for

2:10:03 redemption.

2:10:04 >> Mark Crocco, head coach of the Loco

2:10:05 Beach Coconuts. Last year was the head

2:10:07 coach of the Visitors. And he told me

2:10:09 last year as a coach there were only

2:10:10 three arms that when he was preparing

2:10:13 for opposing teams he truly feared. One

2:10:16 of them is on the mound watching the

2:10:18 ball fly over the yard.

2:10:21 Don't fear Phillips, fear Brewer.

2:10:24 Jordan Brewer does it again. It's his

2:10:27 third long ball of the season.

2:10:30 That's one way to start the eighth

2:10:32 inning. Bring out the hook and round the

2:10:35 bases. Aquaman's done it again.

2:10:39 >> Sam Bowman is getting awfully used to

2:10:41 this Coconut Squad hitting home runs.

2:10:44 He's back with Jordan Brewer and the

2:10:45 hook.

2:10:47 >> Hey,

2:10:48 JB, how do we feel about this Midwest

2:10:50 air tonight?

2:10:51 >> It's a little [snorts] thick, but hey,

2:10:53 can you catch a barrel with those, huh?

2:10:54 >> It works in Wichita.

2:10:55 >> Just a little little ball.

2:10:56 >> A little bit.

2:10:57 >> Love Wichita. Love you guys!

2:10:59 >> [cheering]

2:11:01 >> Just a little ball.

2:11:03 And a big home run for Jordan Brewer.

2:11:06 Gives the Coconuts the lead in the

2:11:08 eighth of a game they currently trail

2:11:10 3-2.

2:11:12 Such an important swing in that spot

2:11:13 from JB 15.

2:11:16 >> There's a reason why he was such a high

2:11:18 draft pick

2:11:20 in 2019. There's a reason why this guy

2:11:24 was All-American at Michigan.

2:11:26 Guy's just incredible.

2:11:28 One of the best fielding first baseman

2:11:29 that we've got in this beautiful sport.

2:11:33 And he's just hit his third homer

2:11:35 of the season. His second coming against

2:11:38 the Firefighters. Is Ashby finding is

2:11:39 obsessed with the backstop?

2:11:42 No fur coat from him tonight. Little

2:11:44 surprised by that.

2:11:47 >> He's had it on here and there, but

2:11:49 you're right, no at bat

2:11:50 >> with it.

2:11:56 >> So, Philly going to have to try and

2:11:57 limit the damage to just one.

2:12:02 Then, Vining just keeps finding ways to

2:12:03 get a barrel on bat, even if it produces

2:12:05 absolutely zero.

2:12:07 When the Nuts have scored two runs in

2:12:09 the top half of the frame,

2:12:11 they've earned the point. They scored

2:12:13 one in the top half of the fifth, as

2:12:14 that is another slow dribbler. Philly

2:12:17 turning. Does he have enough time?

2:12:19 Yes, he does. That is an impressive

2:12:22 stretch from Mason Maxwell at first.

2:12:27 >> Really impressive job from Phillips to

2:12:29 stick with this play, too. All the way

2:12:31 up to the line.

2:12:32 Fires it over.

2:12:34 It's a bang-bang play that goes in favor

2:12:36 of the Firefighters. Coconut Cirque

2:12:37 intend with not challenging it. So,

2:12:39 there's one away for Ben Pumps Parker in

2:12:41 the five spot.

2:12:42 >> That is the second time, by the way,

2:12:43 that is screamer

2:12:45 >> over to Logan Lacy. Between the legs,

2:12:46 over to first. Dugout again, Mason

2:12:49 Maxwell. And you can call that in for a

2:12:51 trick play for showtime. And that now

2:12:53 makes it three trick play difference

2:12:56 here between the Firefighters and the

2:12:57 Nuts. And that is no small deal.

2:12:59 >> Not a small deal at all, because Loco

2:13:01 Beach only has three outs now to find

2:13:02 four trick plays for the equalizer point

2:13:04 in the bottom of the eighth. That's

2:13:06 before even seeing how the Firefighters

2:13:08 get their third out here in the top of

2:13:10 the inning.

2:13:11 >> Before Ben Parker swung early, I was

2:13:13 about to say that's the second time in a

2:13:14 row

2:13:15 that Ashby Bining

2:13:18 had grounded right back to the pitcher.

2:13:19 Showtime. Back over to first.

2:13:22 [screaming] Double trick play from

2:13:23 Mason.

2:13:26 >> [cheering]

2:13:27 >> That is an important two trick play

2:13:30 affair right there for Lacy and Mason

2:13:33 Maxwell.

2:13:35 It stretches that trick play advantage

2:13:37 out to five for the Fire and Flames.

2:13:40 Huge. They lean on the trick plays.

2:13:43 Won't you lean on me?

2:13:45 >> Won't be long

2:13:46 till I'm yours.

2:13:48 Till I'm lonely.

2:13:51 Somebody to lean on.

2:13:54 >> [music and singing]

2:13:55 >> Lean on me.

2:13:58 When you're not strong

2:14:01 and I'll be

2:14:02 your friend.

2:14:04 I'll help you carry on.

2:14:08 >> [singing]

2:14:09 [music]

2:14:11 >> It won't be long

2:14:14 till I'm yours.

2:14:18 >> [music]

2:14:20 >> Sing it Wichita.

2:14:34 >> [music]

2:14:42 [music and singing]

2:14:51 [music and singing]

2:14:56 [music]

2:14:59 [singing]

2:15:05 [singing and music]

2:15:12 >> Wichita, you've been absolutely amazing.

2:15:14 Keep up the energy and let's go

2:15:16 firefighters.

2:15:22 >> [laughter]

2:15:25 >> AJ Switek says ACLs might be

2:15:29 torn to shreds after that fall. I tried

2:15:32 >> When I when I accepted this position

2:15:34 with Loco Beach, no one warned me how

2:15:36 much my knees would hurt because last

2:15:39 week in Las Vegas, I cut my knee open

2:15:42 doing hey baby with Drake Toll and now I

2:15:43 need another band-aid because the same

2:15:45 knee is cut again.

2:15:48 >> Oh, no.

2:15:48 >> But

2:15:50 you need to bring a glove to the

2:15:51 ballpark and clearly at Loco Beach you

2:15:53 need to bring knee pads when you've got

2:15:55 other people in the booth. And you need

2:15:57 to bring your listening ears cuz look

2:15:59 who's on the mound.

2:16:07 Only 6 hours of sleep this series for

2:16:10 Meatball. He pitched beautifully in game

2:16:13 one, then got a call from his wife. He

2:16:16 flew back home to be with her

2:16:19 in the hospital. She is okay.

2:16:22 Want to make that very clear, but that's

2:16:24 just the great character of Joe Meatball

2:16:26 Filomeno. Then,

2:16:28 he realized his team needed him. With

2:16:29 Austin Kruzminski absent this weekend,

2:16:31 Meatball got on a red eye flight right

2:16:34 back to Long Beach today, [music]

2:16:36 showed up for this game to pitch the

2:16:38 eighth inning, and now his team needs a

2:16:40 zero from him more than ever on 6 hours

2:16:43 of sleep. Meatball continues to redefine

2:16:46 what humanity can do.

2:16:48 >> Gigi Brienza, I'm all there for you.

2:16:50 Come on, Peanut.

2:16:52 And he swung a sword and missed

2:16:54 everything. That's a strikeout against

2:16:57 Peanut, his second of the night, and a

2:16:59 first strikeout

2:17:01 for young Meatball.

2:17:02 >> Slap that stomach, big fella. It's what

2:17:05 Meatball does best.

2:17:08 The marinara covered meatball slides

2:17:11 right by Caden Green, and there's one

2:17:13 away on three pitches. Joe Filomeno,

2:17:16 four pitches in, four strikes.

2:17:19 He's got it going on. Who needs sleep,

2:17:21 anyways?

2:17:22 >> Me.

2:17:25 Lefty on lefty, big on big. Dalton

2:17:28 Cornett against Joe Filomeno.

2:17:31 Right now,

2:17:32 if the score in the inning upholds is DC

2:17:34 three, he sends this to the fans,

2:17:38 they won't catch it.

2:17:39 Bring a glove. If the fan, excuse me, if

2:17:41 the Coconuts keep this lead one nothing,

2:17:43 it would be three three going into

2:17:46 the top of the ninth. Now, they have an

2:17:48 opportunity for trick plays,

2:17:50 but it seems very unlikely as Payton

2:17:52 shot Tony. Oh, he tried to go over to

2:17:54 Dane Toplin, and that will go down. I

2:17:56 believe it should be a single for Dalton

2:17:57 Cornett.

2:17:58 >> 100%. That's a near impossible play for

2:18:00 the best of the best.

2:18:01 >> Get out of the way everybody. The

2:18:04 Dalmatian bat dog is back. It's Chief.

2:18:07 >> [screaming]

2:18:09 >> He's chasing his tail.

2:18:11 Now he's got the bats.

2:18:16 Trying to find someone with no pine tar.

2:18:20 He's making it a little bit more

2:18:21 difficult on himself. He's making it a

2:18:23 little bit more difficult on himself.

2:18:25 But he's got the word this time.

2:18:29 Do it boy Chief.

2:18:31 >> He chased his tail.

2:18:33 I've never seen that before. He chased

2:18:35 his tail.

2:18:37 >> Beautiful.

2:18:38 >> Logan Lacey has just torched one in the

2:18:40 left center field for a base knock.

2:18:42 >> It will move Dalton Cornett from fire

2:18:44 station to fire station and it goes down

2:18:46 as a single the first of the game

2:18:48 for Logan Lacey. That's a big one for

2:18:50 showtime because the guy coming up is

2:18:51 Eric Jones Jr. Boy,

2:18:54 if there's one guy I'll throw the yard

2:18:56 card out for right now. You've done it

2:18:57 for Gideon Antal twice. You know what?

2:18:59 My fire helmet might be broken cuz AJ

2:19:01 stole it from me then threw it while I

2:19:03 picked him up on lean on me. Let me

2:19:04 throw the fire helmet out there. Yard

2:19:06 card right here.

2:19:10 We wait.

2:19:13 I didn't say it was going to be on the

2:19:14 0-0 pitch. I just said yard card in the

2:19:15 AB.

2:19:21 Scooped right over to short stop.

2:19:23 Oh, and it's dropped by Sal.

2:19:26 Back over to third. Dalton trying to

2:19:29 play games over there now.

2:19:33 Are they calling him out at second or

2:19:35 not?

2:19:36 They do call him out.

2:19:39 Do they?

2:19:40 >> [cheering]

2:19:41 >> Oh, the fan challenge has been put to

2:19:43 picked up.

2:19:44 I'm not entirely sure what we're what

2:19:45 we're challenging here.

2:19:49 Logan Lacey sliding in at second. I

2:19:53 guess maybe they're trying to say that

2:19:54 Jacobo didn't have full control of the

2:19:56 ball.

2:19:58 Only thing I can think of because to me

2:20:00 on first view Oh, he never did.

2:20:05 He never had control of the banana ball.

2:20:09 It was never in his glove.

2:20:11 >> Yeah, I mean there's going to be runners

2:20:12 on all three bases here.

2:20:13 >> With just one away. And that's big

2:20:15 because if the Firefighters get a ball

2:20:16 four sprint with Lamar Sparks who

2:20:18 already has a two-run homer tonight.

2:20:22 >> It's going to be huge.

2:20:23 >> It's a really good teaching moment for

2:20:25 any young aspiring baseballer banana

2:20:27 ball players at home. I want you to

2:20:28 watch Sal Giacomo, one of the best

2:20:29 second baseman in this sport, proving

2:20:32 that, you know, mistakes happen. But you

2:20:33 have to keep your eye on the ball into

2:20:36 the glove. He takes his eyes off the

2:20:38 ball before it's into his glove, doesn't

2:20:40 see it in right there, looks away,

2:20:42 starts trying to cheat his way with the

2:20:43 throw to first. What looked to be a

2:20:45 routine double play for one of the most

2:20:47 comfortable middle infields in the

2:20:48 league instead

2:20:50 sends us to a fan challenge that

2:20:53 overturns things and now has the bases

2:20:55 loaded with one down.

2:20:57 >> The fans for a second straight night

2:20:59 have popped a really nice fan challenge

2:21:01 and they're successful tonight. Val

2:21:03 Perez

2:21:05 giving some love.

2:21:06 And so now the Firefighters with all

2:21:08 bases

2:21:10 occupied and a guy who's got a two-run

2:21:12 homer

2:21:13 already here.

2:21:16 Lamar Boy, he wanted to send that one

2:21:17 going. Did he just hit C.J. Williams?

2:21:24 No, it might have been

2:21:25 >> Payton Bullard. I don't know who that

2:21:26 is.

2:21:26 >> It's a Someone in the row.

2:21:30 Lamar again trying to send that one to

2:21:32 the moon.

2:21:34 Foul 0-2.

2:21:37 Firefighters just need something to go

2:21:38 through.

2:21:39 They do. Logan Lacey's got good enough

2:21:41 speed to haul it in from second.

2:21:44 Just one away with the 0-2 count to

2:21:46 Lamar.

2:21:50 Lamar stays alive with the foul. That

2:21:52 one almost bounced right back to Philly.

2:21:59 >> There's a guy in the Pioneer League that

2:22:00 absolutely found his stuff.

2:22:02 >> It's raining. Rain is coming down. You

2:22:04 may not be able to see it on your

2:22:05 screens, but out of nowhere rain has

2:22:06 just started to pour here at the beach.

2:22:08 >> Heavy rain.

2:22:10 Wonder how that might affect the control

2:22:11 of Joe Philomena.

2:22:14 >> That's a soft dribbler into right field.

2:22:16 Gideon Antle won't be able to chase it

2:22:17 down. One run is in. Logan Laces

2:22:20 >> will halt. Inning is equalized.

2:22:23 >> That's a big one for the Firefighters

2:22:25 because now with the rain threatening

2:22:28 and we've already played seven

2:22:30 and a third, could be really critical

2:22:32 here.

2:22:34 Right now, I believe it's safe to say

2:22:35 the equalizer point is not going to be

2:22:37 given out. It will be denied by the

2:22:39 Firefighters for the first time this

2:22:40 weekend. They've played with intention

2:22:42 in the field today with 12 trick plays

2:22:44 to seven for the Nuts.

2:22:46 But Mason Natwell can really end the

2:22:48 frame if he can get one through again.

2:22:59 >> Mason right back up the middle. What a

2:23:00 save from Payton Shattaney!

2:23:02 And it denies the Firefighters another

2:23:05 run and we are going to the ninth in a

2:23:07 3-2 affair.

2:23:10 Web gem! Payton Shattaney!

2:23:15 What a play! Goes completely horizontal.

2:23:19 Puts the Superman cape on and Sal

2:23:22 Giaccomo closes it out. So, the

2:23:24 Firefighters score one. The Coconuts

2:23:27 score one in the eighth. That means it's

2:23:29 a scoreless inning and Loco Beach is

2:23:32 going to have to live up to the Comeback

2:23:34 Coconuts name in the ninth, trailing

2:23:36 3-2. First time they'll trail in the

2:23:38 ninth inning in this series. Let's hear

2:23:41 from Sam Tanaze before we see the

2:23:43 biggest at bats of the week for Loco

2:23:46 Beach.

2:23:57 >> I've got that lightning inside me, so

2:24:00 now I'm a gun.

2:24:02 I'm like a titan, that's rising, just

2:24:06 you watch.

2:24:08 I'm stepping in the fire.

2:24:11 There is no time to run.

2:24:13 I've got that lightning inside me.

2:24:16 This is how legends are made.

2:24:27 This is [music] how legends are made.

2:24:38 This is how legends are made. [music]

2:24:41 >> Now pitching for the Firefighters,

2:24:45 number 95,

2:24:47 Johnny Hummell.

2:24:48 >> It is the lightning

2:24:50 out of Lexington.

2:24:53 Johnny Hummell with Lightning McQueen in

2:24:56 that beautiful Piston Cup on the mound.

2:25:01 On for another save opportunity. This

2:25:03 would be his sixth

2:25:05 of 2026.

2:25:07 He has been successful in five of those.

2:25:11 Excuse me, in four of those. I can't

2:25:13 talk.

2:25:15 This is a guy who has earned the rights

2:25:18 to be the closer for the Firefighters

2:25:19 right now. He's been incredible for this

2:25:22 team in big pressure situations. Had a

2:25:25 little trouble in Greenville, South

2:25:26 Carolina when the Firefighters were up,

2:25:28 gave up a run that turned into a point,

2:25:30 but the Firefighters earned the win

2:25:32 because of the Dalton Cornett hit. With

2:25:34 the rain coming down, you wonder how

2:25:36 that changes the dynamic, and do not

2:25:38 forget, Mark Crocco and the Coconuts

2:25:41 have the golden batters still in their

2:25:43 pockets.

2:25:44 >> The three do up this inning for Loco

2:25:46 Beach, Eric Asberg, Peyton Shot Tonye,

2:25:48 Grady Morgan.

2:25:50 Crocco and the Coconuts have used the

2:25:51 golden batter more than anyone this

2:25:53 season, but they're going to keep Asberg

2:25:55 out there. It's the right choice if it's

2:25:56 a two-for-three game.

2:25:58 >> Up would be Asberg, Peyton Shot Tonye,

2:26:02 and Grady Morgan.

2:26:07 Jonny Hummel is tied with C.J. Williams

2:26:10 for the most saves.

2:26:11 Second most saves in the Banana Ball

2:26:13 Championship League, and that'll get him

2:26:14 off to a good start.

2:26:16 Quick

2:26:18 quick work.

2:26:20 And I don't see anybody

2:26:22 on deck right now for the Coconuts. We

2:26:25 might have ourselves a golden shot here

2:26:28 in Wichita.

2:26:33 This is a late call from Mark Crocco.

2:26:37 >> Loco Beach Coconuts are invoking the

2:26:39 golden batter rule. Hitting in place of

2:26:43 Peyton Shot Tonye is your golden batter,

2:26:47 Tanner

2:26:49 Allen!

2:26:49 >> [screaming]

2:26:51 [cheering]

2:26:52 >> Interesting, interesting decision from

2:26:55 Mark Crocco and company. In a series

2:26:58 where Dane Toplin has looked

2:26:59 unstoppable, they're going to stick with

2:27:02 the former national player of the year,

2:27:04 national champ, SEC player of the year.

2:27:07 If the trophy exists, Tanner Allen has

2:27:09 it in his case at home. It makes sense.

2:27:12 He's got the winning pedigree, and this

2:27:14 is who they turn to to face off against

2:27:16 Jonny Hummel. They want a lefty here.

2:27:18 Let's see if it's the right choice.

2:27:20 >> You took the words right out of my

2:27:21 mouth. Perhaps they wanted the

2:27:22 lefty-on-righty matchup.

2:27:26 That's a quick 0-2 count. You're right,

2:27:28 A.J. And again, Mark Crocco has made

2:27:30 some great, and I do mean great,

2:27:31 decisions with the golden bat.

2:27:33 But Dane Toplin, it's not like he's

2:27:34 right around the corner. They still got

2:27:36 to go Grady Morgan and Dalton Mallon.

2:27:38 Now, there could be a pinch hit

2:27:39 situation in one of those situations.

2:27:42 We don't know.

2:27:44 But, Dane Tauscher does not do up for

2:27:45 another

2:27:47 three at bats, four at bats.

2:27:50 It's a big send to go Tanner Allen who

2:27:52 is

2:27:53 obviously a very good

2:27:55 hitter himself.

2:27:57 Oh, they called him [screaming] out on

2:27:58 the appeal.

2:28:03 Zachary Bridges had on a swing.

2:28:05 Called down for the appeal of our third

2:28:07 base umpire, Brian Bankston. Tanner

2:28:10 Allen

2:28:12 according to him went around.

2:28:14 We'd love to see the angle from the

2:28:15 third base camera. Here you go.

2:28:18 Ooh, buddy.

2:28:20 That's a tough one.

2:28:21 Awfully tough. It goes down as the

2:28:23 second strikeout of the game

2:28:26 for Tanner Allen. And Johnny Hummel has

2:28:27 two away quickly. Firefighters

2:28:29 desperately needed. They do. They stay

2:28:31 alive in the race for second in the

2:28:33 Banana Ball Championship League. And

2:28:35 they'd win double digit games for the

2:28:37 first time in team history.

2:28:41 The rain for the most part staying at

2:28:43 sort of a comfortable level right now.

2:28:47 2-0 count to Grady Morgan. Slices this

2:28:49 one into right center field. Jerry

2:28:51 McDonald underneath and the Fire

2:28:53 Fighters for the first time ever have

2:28:56 won 10 games in a world tour.

2:28:59 They salvaged one win in the series in

2:29:01 Wichita and the Fire and Flames for one

2:29:05 night will get to say they own the

2:29:07 beach.

2:29:08 Big time stuff from Jared Donaldson,

2:29:12 Javon Ray,

2:29:13 and Johnny Hummel on the bump. You give

2:29:15 credit to Blake Morgan and Zack Phillips

2:29:17 as well. Lamar Sparks with a two-run

2:29:20 walk-off homer to really change the tide

2:29:23 of this one for the Fire and Flames and

2:29:25 for the first time in Wichita, it's a

2:29:29 winning. Give me the fire.

2:29:32 >> Give me

2:29:50 >> [cheering]

2:29:51 >> That is the kind of response you want

2:29:54 from heartbreak.

2:29:55 That is the kind of response you need

2:29:58 after dropping the first two

2:30:00 by a combined three points.

2:30:02 >> [cheering]

2:30:02 >> It's a big win for the Fire and Flames.

2:30:05 It's an historic win for the Fire and

2:30:07 Flames. For the first time in this

2:30:09 team's existence, they have reached

2:30:11 double-digit wins, folks.

2:30:14 They have equaled their amount of wins

2:30:16 on the 2024 and 2025 World Tours

2:30:20 combined. They won six in last year's

2:30:22 edition. They won four in 2024.

2:30:26 Say what you will. The these

2:30:28 firefighters are different. These

2:30:31 firefighters are rewriting their own

2:30:33 history books. These [cheering]

2:30:35 firefighters are doing things they've

2:30:37 never done before. And Sam Balman is

2:30:40 standing by with the Showman, Smoke.

2:30:46 >> Well, guys, we got our Showman of the

2:30:48 game,

2:30:49 Firefighter South Tremble.

2:30:52 >> [cheering]

2:30:53 >> South,

2:30:55 the series, the game doesn't start out

2:30:57 the way you guys would like. Talk about

2:30:59 the fight that we saw from the

2:31:00 Firefighters tonight.

2:31:02 >> Yeah, no, it was amazing. Everyone was

2:31:03 firing on all cylinders tonight.

2:31:04 Couldn't be more proud of the team.

2:31:06 Um shout out to the Coconuts. We always

2:31:08 have a good series versus them. And uh

2:31:11 yeah, just a great way to win end the

2:31:13 weekend, you know.

2:31:15 >> And South,

2:31:17 talk to me here. You had the walk-up.

2:31:19 Were you feeling extra energy, a feeling

2:31:20 a little magic when you stepped up to

2:31:22 the plate there?

2:31:23 >> Oh, yeah, absolutely. I was I was

2:31:25 tingling with that feeling, you

2:31:27 And um

2:31:29 just glad glad it works out and um can

2:31:31 help the team out, you know?

2:31:34 >> Our banana ball backstage question,

2:31:35 South. This is a tough one.

2:31:38 Why

2:31:40 do we name the bat dog Chief?

2:31:43 >> It doesn't matter why we named

2:31:45 [screaming] him

2:31:48 >> [cheering]

2:31:49 >> Chief is awesome. We love you, Chief.

2:31:51 >> South, one more time for Wichita.

2:31:54 >> Wichita, thank you so much.

2:31:56 We love you all so much. Thank you for

2:31:58 making it the show what it is. We

2:32:00 couldn't do it without you, and that's

2:32:02 the bottom line.

2:32:04 >> Thank you, Wichita.

2:32:06 >> Smoke, you got to finish the line.

2:32:08 It's the bottom line because Smoke says

2:32:11 so.

2:32:12 >> We'll teach him here in a little bit.

2:32:14 What a night for South Trimble, and

2:32:15 really he's putting together a heck of a

2:32:17 2026. Tonight, another couple of

2:32:19 singles, another couple of trick plays.

2:32:21 One of those singles a walk-off. [music]

2:32:22 The magic man simply has been magic for

2:32:24 the Firefighters when they needed them.

2:32:26 They changed the lineup up tonight. They

2:32:28 went with a lot of different, maybe a

2:32:30 lot more different than they usually do.

2:32:32 But South Trimble is a great second

2:32:33 baseman, and he showed it tonight in the

2:32:35 field, and he really showed it at the

2:32:37 plate. Right now, one of the OGs of this

2:32:39 Fire and Flames team is showing to be a

2:32:41 lot more than a magic man. He's kind of

2:32:43 shown himself to be the heart and soul

2:32:44 of the squad.

2:32:45 >> Yeah, and I'll be frank with you, Zach.

2:32:47 The difference in all three games in

2:32:48 this series has been the equalizer

2:32:50 point. The newest rule to banana ball in

2:32:52 2026 has proven so pivotal. Tonight,

2:32:55 arguably the most of the whole series.

2:32:57 12-7 the Firefighters out-tricked the

2:32:59 Cocounts. That point was the

2:33:01 difference-maker. Both teams scored

2:33:02 seven runs, but 3-2 your final score

2:33:05 because of the likes of South Trimble

2:33:07 and the magic he was able to put on in

2:33:08 the field.

2:33:09 >> You're right, AJ. You take a look at

2:33:11 this line score. They're equal in runs,

2:33:13 one separating in hits. It's the trick

2:33:15 plays, and tonight the Firefighters just

2:33:16 a little bit better. They also didn't

2:33:18 give a ton of opportunities to to Beach

2:33:20 Cocounts to grab those trick plays, but

2:33:22 tonight the Firefighters you could see

2:33:24 learned a little bit of their lesson

2:33:26 from the first couple of nights. The

2:33:27 changes Val Perez made and we haven't

2:33:29 talked about this a ton this year. I

2:33:30 think Val Perez has managed this group

2:33:32 about as perfectly as you could and

2:33:34 tonight she read the room, she read the

2:33:36 temperature of the team, made some

2:33:38 changes sending Peanut to the top of the

2:33:39 order, sending South at second base and

2:33:42 look it paid off. They've made a lot of

2:33:43 big adjustments, but those big

2:33:45 adjustments at least for one night have

2:33:46 paid off. Again, you don't lose faith in

2:33:48 Tyner Hughes. He's batting over 300 for

2:33:50 a reason. You know Armando Becerra will

2:33:52 bounce back in center field big time,

2:33:54 but Val Perez has [music] found

2:33:56 something with this team and she's not

2:33:57 going to let it go away without her

2:33:59 saying it.

2:34:00 >> It's always a great show whenever these

2:34:01 two take on one another. It really is.

2:34:03 So now five times this season the

2:34:05 Coconuts and Firefighters have taken

2:34:08 one another on and none of them have

2:34:09 been decided by more than two points.

2:34:11 That's because this is just such a good

2:34:13 match up. It's must-see TV for those at

2:34:15 home. It's must-see Banana Ball for

2:34:16 those fortunate enough to be here in

2:34:18 Wichita, but for the viewers at home, I

2:34:20 mean it when I say it from the bottom of

2:34:22 my heart, we cannot be more appreciative

2:34:24 of you opting to spend both tonight,

2:34:26 last night and the night before here

2:34:28 with myself and Zach Staten in Wichita,

2:34:30 Kansas. The Firefighters get the last

2:34:32 laugh, but the Coconuts still win the

2:34:34 series and we're still spreading love

2:34:36 all across the country. I'll see you in

2:34:38 Savannah, Georgia. Until then, please

2:34:40 make it a point to make everyone smile

2:34:42 and make the world a better place.

2:34:44 >> AJ, I think we've learned here this year

2:34:45 especially that the Firefighters fans

2:34:47 are some of the most faithful in all of

2:34:49 the world and all of sports. I know the

2:34:50 Coco Beach fans are as well. Coco Beach

2:34:52 whoa, but the Firefighters are just as

2:34:55 important here. The fans have made such

2:34:56 a difference and you can see it this

2:34:58 year. The brand is growing because you

2:35:00 stayed supporting us through some tough

2:35:02 world tours and this year you get to

2:35:04 enjoy the benefits of your own loyalty,

2:35:07 the success of your own faith in the

2:35:10 Fire [music] and Flames. So, we've got a

2:35:12 game tomorrow in Banana Ball Land,

2:35:14 Banana Land for short. It's the Bananas

2:35:16 I almost said Firefighters. We're not

2:35:17 playing tomorrow. We're flying home

2:35:18 tomorrow. Bananas and the Party Animals

2:35:20 back in Atlanta, Truist Park, a Sunday

2:35:22 affair in Georgia. And then next week,

2:35:25 we go back to another trio of cities

2:35:26 because that's what we do. The Loco

2:35:29 Beach Coconuts are in the home state.

2:35:31 They're in the hostess city of Savannah,

2:35:32 Georgia against the Savannah Bananas.

2:35:35 The Indianapolis Clowns will go up

2:35:36 against the Party Animals for the first

2:35:38 time ever as the headlining bunch.

2:35:41 Cannot wait for how special that

2:35:43 environment [music] will be in

2:35:44 Indianapolis, Indiana. Drake Toll will

2:35:46 be on the call for you. I cannot wait to

2:35:48 watch that weekend from my hotel room in

2:35:51 El Paso, Texas, where we're going to

2:35:53 meet you for the first time in the Fire

2:35:56 and Flames in the Lone Star State

2:35:59 against those boys in the blue and

2:36:00 orange, the Texas Tailgaters. The middle

2:36:03 children of this sport go at it again.

2:36:05 Mom, who's the favorite of the middle

2:36:08 children? Who's the favorite of the

2:36:09 middle generation? We'll find out next

2:36:11 weekend when we go to the Lone Star

2:36:13 State, El Paso, Texas. We've been

2:36:15 talking about it a bunch. Let's go and

2:36:17 show it to you, too,

2:36:18 as you see what's happened here.

2:36:20 Tonight, the Texas Tailgaters salvaging

2:36:22 the series and get a win in the series

2:36:24 over the Indianapolis Clowns. The

2:36:26 Savannah Bananas 4-3 winners, so they

2:36:28 get their first win in four games.

2:36:32 Five games. They break a four-game

2:36:33 losing streak. Firefighters won. I'm

2:36:35 excited. Give me a break. Two games, by

2:36:37 the way, decided by one point in a 2-3

2:36:40 game and another one 4-3 game. We had

2:36:42 three games tonight, AJ, all decided by

2:36:45 one point apiece.

2:36:47 >> That's Banana Ball. This is the most

2:36:48 entertaining sport in the world, and I'm

2:36:49 just so thankful to be along for the

2:36:51 ride. Genuinely an honor to be here at

2:36:54 the beach all day, every day. I know I

2:36:55 said it was raining. You saw it on your

2:36:57 screen. No, it's 110°, it's sunny. Look

2:37:00 in your heart, find that love. [music]

2:37:02 We're going to honor you. We're going to

2:37:03 serve you, and I am sure going to love

2:37:06 you.

2:37:07 >> We welcome you back here inside the

2:37:08 Dispatch Center again. Bananas, Party

2:37:10 Animals tomorrow, 3:00 Eastern time. We

2:37:13 all get to sit around and watch this

2:37:14 together. I'll be landing at 3:00

2:37:15 actually back in Savannah. So, I might

2:37:17 be back home in time for first pitch

2:37:19 with my wife Logan and my dog Daisy.

2:37:21 A.J. Swyteck, we'll see you in a couple

2:37:23 weeks in Scranton for the Firefighters.

2:37:25 We'll see you next week in Savannah.

2:37:26 We'll see the Indianapolis Clowns in

2:37:28 Indianapolis against the Party Animals

2:37:29 and we'll see you next week in El Paso,

2:37:31 Texas against the Texas Tailgaters. For

2:37:33 our brilliant producer Mohawk Mike, our

2:37:35 great director in the truck Alex Gross,

2:37:37 the legendary executive producer Josh

2:37:39 Richards, and the great Sam Bauman. What

2:37:41 a joy it's been to have him here this

2:37:43 week in Wichita, and our statistician

2:37:45 Blake O'Hara, and A.J. Swyteck here in

2:37:48 the broadcast booth. I'm Zach Staten for

2:37:50 the first time this week and I get to

2:37:52 tell you this in a winning way. Yes, the

2:37:54 vibes are great on the beach, but the

2:37:55 Firefighters have made history. Their

2:37:58 first ever 10-win season, and they ain't

2:38:01 done yet. So, until we see you next week

2:38:03 in El Paso, Texas, these are words to

2:38:05 live by. Axes up, chop down. See you in

2:38:09 the Lone Star State. Firefighters win.

2:39:30 >> Woo!
